Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Well, it's Terminello's take as we're about to
- 0:04Speaker 1: hit game two of the NBA Finals. Firstly, Lou we're
- 0:08Speaker 1: a month away from fourth of July. How are we
- 0:11Speaker 1: this close to that?
- 0:11Speaker 2: And how are we the NBA Finals already? I feel
- 0:13Speaker 2: like we were just talking.
- 0:14Speaker 1: About, you know, the Knicks perspectives going into the NBA playoffs,
- 0:20Speaker 1: not this. I mean, it feels like a fast time
- 0:23Speaker 1: here in twenty twenty six.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Hey, Alex, good to be with you. Yeah, it is
- 0:29Speaker 2: a fast and it's a good time for the Knicks
- 0:32Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six. They I mean, they've played, they're
- 0:37Speaker 2: well rested. I mean, going into the into Game one
- 0:40Speaker 2: the other night, they had only played four games in
- 0:42Speaker 2: twenty three days, which is almost hard to believe, but
- 0:48Speaker 2: you know, they have. They had a tremendous win in
- 0:51Speaker 2: Game one, deserving win, and a lot of things that
- 0:57Speaker 2: we talked about last week regarding both teams proved out,
- 1:04Speaker 2: at least in Game one. The Spurs inexperience. The Spurs
- 1:11Speaker 2: didn't seem like they were ready for the moment. It
- 1:14Speaker 2: seemed like the Spurs couldn't figure it out, and that
- 1:17Speaker 2: went from the players on the court really until right
- 1:22Speaker 2: through to coach coach Mitchell Johnson.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It's interesting to say that because yet they were up
- 1:30Speaker 1: by twelve or fourteen at one point. I mean, it
- 1:32Speaker 1: wasn't as drastic as the Cavs.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, no, no no. Now, I'm glad
- 1:38Speaker 2: that you brought up that fourteen point lead. That was
- 1:40Speaker 2: really one of the key thing, the key sections of
- 1:43Speaker 2: the game. They're up fourteen, they take we Wemby, who
- 1:48Speaker 2: did not have a good game. Victor did not have
- 1:50Speaker 2: a good game on in game one. They take him out.
- 1:54Speaker 2: The Knicks get it down to five before he comes
- 1:57Speaker 2: back in again. I know, I know coaches, and it
- 2:03Speaker 2: happened when I was with the Nets. They have okay,
- 2:08Speaker 2: he's coming out at the eight minute mark, he's coming
- 2:11Speaker 2: back in at the six minute mark, he's coming out
- 2:13Speaker 2: at the three minute mark. They have this in their head.
- 2:16Speaker 2: When you're playing the NBA Finals, you gotta go with Field.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I would not have take I've taken Webinar out when
- 2:23Speaker 2: they're up fourteen. You should have tried to extend that
- 2:25Speaker 2: to twenty and then maybe the Knicks would have been done.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But they came back with a quick spurt to cut
- 2:32Speaker 2: it to five, and by the end of the quarter,
- 2:35Speaker 2: all that work that the Spurs did to get that
- 2:38Speaker 2: lead was gonna mine. It was you know, I was
- 2:40Speaker 2: tired at the end of three at the end of
- 2:42Speaker 2: three quarters. You know, you really saw a team that
- 2:51Speaker 2: I mean, they're multi talented and they're going to be great.
- 2:55Speaker 2: They're not better than the Knicks, as I said coming in.
- 2:58Speaker 2: The Knicks are gritty, they have chemistry, they're not afraid,
- 3:06Speaker 2: and they have experience.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And you know what they're doing is the Spurs aren't
- 3:10Speaker 1: doing as much. I mean, I feel like the Knicks
- 3:14Speaker 1: are finally driving the paint. I know there was a
- 3:16Speaker 1: big three by Brunson, but for the most part, they
- 3:18Speaker 1: were not taking wild arig shots like I felt saying
- 3:22Speaker 1: Antonio was at some point, you know, from beyond the three,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and the Knicks were very disciplined in that way.
- 3:28Speaker 2: All right, now, I agree with you, And you know
- 3:30Speaker 2: the thing is, this is how great brunts and is Offensively.
- 3:36Speaker 2: He can have a bad shooting night. He scored thirty points.
- 3:38Speaker 2: He had a bad he had a bad game the
- 3:39Speaker 2: other night, and that that does not bode well for
- 3:41Speaker 2: San Antonio moving forward. He really he did not have
- 3:44Speaker 2: a great game the other night.
- 3:47Speaker 1: He says, I strive to be perfect. It's like, but
- 3:50Speaker 1: you just had thirty points and hit the game game
- 3:53Speaker 1: winning shot. How can you not be perfect right now?
- 3:55Speaker 2: You know? Right? So, and they were, they were up
- 3:59Speaker 2: ninety four to eighty, and then the Spurs scored nine
- 4:02Speaker 2: in a row to go up ninety five ninety four.
- 4:05Speaker 2: But in that Spurs comeback from with that nine point run,
- 4:10Speaker 2: Brunson missed four shots in a row. But when he
- 4:14Speaker 2: had hit that shot to put him back up, that
- 4:16Speaker 2: three in the corner, and he was only one for
- 4:18Speaker 2: eight from three point range at that point, he hit it.
- 4:23Speaker 2: He hit it, and then the next possession Spurs don't score.
- 4:27Speaker 2: He gets it again. And this little guy little for
- 4:30Speaker 2: NBA standards six to one. I don't even know what
- 4:32Speaker 2: his real real height is. He's able to create space
- 4:36Speaker 2: against vasal and hits that jumper to put them up,
- 4:40Speaker 2: to put them up three. I mean, he's just a
- 4:43Speaker 2: fade away. I have to say that shot now, that
- 4:45Speaker 2: was a sweet fade away.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I mean the three was nice, but I often think
- 4:49Speaker 1: that that two was the game winner right there, because
- 4:51Speaker 1: I know the three put them up, but that game winner,
- 4:53Speaker 1: that two pointers since strip for them.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and they nick scored the last eleven points of
- 4:58Speaker 2: the game. I don't noeals, I.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Don't have noticed this, but there were a couple of
- 5:03Speaker 1: times where they stole the ball again from San Antonio.
- 5:06Speaker 1: That defense is something we haven't seen in a little
- 5:08Speaker 1: while from this next team. And again, who do I
- 5:12Speaker 1: talk about all the time? And I said this off
- 5:14Speaker 1: their I'm gonna say it on here too. Ananobe feels
- 5:17Speaker 1: like the Matsui of this team, Like he's just that
- 5:20Speaker 1: player that will make all the.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Clutch mo I, yeah, Alex, I totally agree. I totally
- 5:26Speaker 2: agree with you. He didn't have a good game the
- 5:28Speaker 2: other night. But did he hit two big shots in
- 5:30Speaker 2: the fourth quarter? He sure did. And that's that's the difference.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I mean now, as is the rebounding. That that rebounding
- 5:38Speaker 1: is unbelievable. It's like the ball can't stay up in
- 5:40Speaker 1: the air more than a second before either cat has it,
- 5:42Speaker 1: Autoobe has it, Hart has it.
- 5:44Speaker 2: You know, whate of these guys has well you look
- 5:46Speaker 2: at heart, heart bounced around the league. This was this
- 5:51Speaker 2: his fourth team, it's fifteen, but this is the team
- 5:54Speaker 2: that he that he needs to be on a team
- 5:56Speaker 2: like that, a team, a contending team like this, where
- 6:00Speaker 2: he does all those things that they say you don't
- 6:02Speaker 2: really see in the box score, even though he had
- 6:04Speaker 2: fifteen rebounds the other night, even though he did not score,
- 6:09Speaker 2: I think, well, he scored three points, five points, but
- 6:11Speaker 2: he had a great game. And you need a guy
- 6:14Speaker 2: like Heart to win a game like that. The Spurs
- 6:17Speaker 2: believe they'll not have more talented guys than Heart, but
- 6:19Speaker 2: they don't have They don't have a heart. They don't
- 6:23Speaker 2: have heart, and I don't mean heart that they're folding
- 6:27Speaker 2: attents like the Cavaliers. They don't have heart. Heart's a
- 6:30Speaker 2: terrific player for a championship, a team going for the championship,
- 6:35Speaker 2: you gotta have these type of guys to help win
- 6:37Speaker 2: the championship. And the Knicks have all those type of guys.
- 6:40Speaker 2: And again, you know, I'm no Knicks fan, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 2: not at all, but you know they have these guys.
- 6:48Speaker 2: This is this is a fine team. It really is. Yes,
- 6:52Speaker 2: I do not believe they would have beat in Oklahoma
- 6:54Speaker 2: City if Oklahoma City was told, but that's not the
- 6:56Speaker 2: Knicks fall. It's not. And if the Knicks win tonight,
- 7:02Speaker 2: I think they might sweep them, all right.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I want to. I want to just we'll see what
- 7:07Speaker 1: happens tonight. But let's go to the other series. Because
- 7:11Speaker 1: amidst all of this craziness with the Knicks, then you
- 7:13Speaker 1: see the billboards on the court and it says Stanley
- 7:16Speaker 1: Cup Finals on ESPN for two weeks or more, they're
- 7:20Speaker 1: gonna have coverage of both of these finals. I mean,
- 7:22Speaker 1: that's a monopoly in away. But good for ESPN for
- 7:24Speaker 1: carrying both sports finals. I mean, I remember a network
- 7:29Speaker 1: that's been like that.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Ever that that boll they did. I mean, they did
- 7:32Speaker 2: that two years ago, and they did you know, every
- 7:34Speaker 2: other year since they got the contract. You know, I
- 7:39Speaker 2: guess it's five years now, so this is the third
- 7:41Speaker 2: year of that that this is this has happened. Uh,
- 7:44Speaker 2: And it's hey, it's great to that there. And again, yeah,
- 7:47Speaker 2: I know they say the finals on ESPN, but it's
- 7:49Speaker 2: really it's really on ABC in the same company, So
- 7:52Speaker 2: it's no big deal. And you know, I think all
- 7:58Speaker 2: championship series should be on h on ABC. I I'm
- 8:04Speaker 2: so glad that it's not on TNT. Just I really
- 8:08Speaker 2: am the yeah on either front. I mean, it has
- 8:12Speaker 2: nothing to do with the with the talented broadcasters, even
- 8:15Speaker 2: though uh you know, we were going back and forth
- 8:17Speaker 2: list and I think Sean McDonough and uh Ray Ferraro
- 8:22Speaker 2: are the best play by play color combo uh in
- 8:27Speaker 2: televised hockey right now. That's that's just my opinion. Yes,
- 8:32Speaker 2: I love Kenny, I love Eddie old Chick, but Ferraro,
- 8:35Speaker 2: Ferraro is, I believe is the is the best, and
- 8:40Speaker 2: they make the game entertaining.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Not that the not last night wasn't entertaining enough. I
- 8:45Speaker 1: mean I was watching back and forth in the real
- 8:47Speaker 1: app and and I was following it, and oh my god.
- 8:51Speaker 1: The Ks needed that win. Firstly, I don't think you
- 8:53Speaker 1: can go down against O two against the Knights and
- 8:56Speaker 1: and then go to Vegas down O two.
- 8:58Speaker 2: So they needed that win.
- 8:59Speaker 1: They got dramatic fashion, you know, dramatic fashion.
- 9:03Speaker 2: I am.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I'm actually very happy at Jacobs, all right. I'm so
- 9:07Speaker 1: happy for him because he's been a veteran of that team,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and you know, and KeAndre of course, former ranger.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I don't know, how about form how about former ranger
- 9:17Speaker 2: Brett Howden, Yeah, Brett Howden. I mean the guy has
- 9:20Speaker 2: been spectacular two nights, right, yeah, he has thirteen goals
- 9:24Speaker 2: in the playoffs. He had twelve and fifty eight games
- 9:26Speaker 2: in the regular season. The two goals he scored last
- 9:29Speaker 2: night was spectacular. And man, this guy couldn't smell a
- 9:35Speaker 2: lot of playing time with the Rangers, but he has
- 9:37Speaker 2: been a difference maker and he's definitely a constant My
- 9:40Speaker 2: Trophy candidate. Uh as this playoff final goes on.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And for people don't realize that, yes, a visiting a
- 9:47Speaker 1: losing team kind of have a trophy.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Yes they have. We we saw it two years ago
- 9:51Speaker 2: with Connor McDavid.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, and even if he made the right move because
- 9:54Speaker 1: he just lost the Stanley Cup. I don't know why
- 9:56Speaker 1: he should accept that anyway, but that that's either Hill
- 9:59Speaker 1: or now or they're in this series though it could
- 10:02Speaker 1: go seven. Like they just look competitive. It looks back
- 10:06Speaker 1: and forth. And I said, don't know who I want
- 10:08Speaker 1: to win, because I mean, Tortorella would be kind of
- 10:12Speaker 1: interesting if he won that ring a second time, but
- 10:15Speaker 1: ca Andre looks like he needed a fresh start, as
- 10:19Speaker 1: did Howden in their respective teams. I mean, it's, uh,
- 10:22Speaker 1: it's gonna be competitive. But as I said in front
- 10:24Speaker 1: of the Garden, I said this on Tuesday night, Louis,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'll say it on my podcast here with you. The
- 10:30Speaker 1: Rangers need to be watching this and studying this series.
- 10:33Speaker 1: You know why, Yes, because not only are that to
- 10:37Speaker 1: you know, all these former guys are on these teams
- 10:40Speaker 1: right now, but how do we get the Rangers in
- 10:42Speaker 1: the next level?
- 10:42Speaker 2: I mean that should be.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Really what Chris Jury should be studying is, Hey, you
- 10:46Speaker 1: want to get to the championship, focus on what's happening now.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And yes, guys that you let go are now the
- 10:52Speaker 1: Stanley Cups. That should be an evaluation of itself.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Lily, Yeah, no, A good point two teams got a
- 11:00Speaker 2: fun to watch. But I have no skin in the
- 11:05Speaker 2: hunt on this. But if you say who do you
- 11:08Speaker 2: prefer to win? I prefer Carolina win. They've been a
- 11:11Speaker 2: great franchise for the last twenty years. They haven't they
- 11:14Speaker 2: haven't won that Stanley Cups in two thousand and six.
- 11:16Speaker 2: They have great fans, SODA's Vegas, but Vegas this is
- 11:19Speaker 2: their third time in the Stanley Cup final in their
- 11:21Speaker 2: first nine years. Vegas didn't have to go through the
- 11:25Speaker 2: expansion pain like the Islanders did fifty years ago. When
- 11:31Speaker 2: they started out twelve sixty and twelve that first year,
- 11:35Speaker 2: or the Washington Capitals in seventy four to seventy five
- 11:38Speaker 2: that I believe were eight sixty seven and five or
- 11:42Speaker 2: eight sixty seven and six, I mean Vancouver. All these
- 11:45Speaker 2: expansion teams were really expansion teams. And I mean, I
- 11:50Speaker 2: think Vegas has done a great job of getting to
- 11:55Speaker 2: Playoff contending and Cup contending quickly, and that's a credit
- 11:59Speaker 2: to their organization. But if I had to pick who,
- 12:02Speaker 2: if you say me he got picked one, I would
- 12:04Speaker 2: like to see Carolina win. You know, Brenda Moore captain
- 12:07Speaker 2: Keynes to the two thousand and six. Stanley Cupp now
- 12:10Speaker 2: he has a chance to coach them to the two thousands.
- 12:13Speaker 1: So funny because the Kynes have gone for sort of
- 12:15Speaker 1: those like you wanted to hate them because they beat
- 12:17Speaker 1: up on all these teams up here in one way
- 12:20Speaker 1: or another. But at the same time, I think they're
- 12:22Speaker 1: the more lovable team this year. I don't know why,
- 12:24Speaker 1: but you just.
- 12:25Speaker 2: You want I would agree. I would agree, Alex.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And I think it's because, I mean, you know, yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 1: Vegas expansion. But what we're watching is history. I mean,
- 12:37Speaker 1: Connecticut fans still claimed that they're that ring they won
- 12:41Speaker 1: in six was theirs because they just that was their
- 12:44Speaker 1: first ring since they moved out of Hartford. I mean, look,
- 12:47Speaker 1: and I was up there for that final game in
- 12:49Speaker 1: Hartford with my dad.
- 12:50Speaker 2: He took me up. Oh well, you you were there
- 12:52Speaker 2: for that final game. I remember that final game against
- 12:54Speaker 2: Tampa Bay.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And when I remember most because I was like seven
- 12:57Speaker 1: or eight at the time.
- 12:58Speaker 2: I mean I feel old now.
- 12:59Speaker 1: But was that them banging on the boards their final game?
- 13:03Speaker 1: I just yeah, it was. Uh, it was emotional in Hartford.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Fifty years of hockey which people don't really realize, but
- 13:12Speaker 1: they just celebrated fifty years of hockey up there because
- 13:15Speaker 1: the Wolfpack continue that tradition and the Wolfpack Avenue coach.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Also, this Leech I believe is their new head coach
- 13:22Speaker 2: up there. Yeah. I think they announced the Rangers announced
- 13:24Speaker 2: that today. Uh. But the one thing about the Carolina Hurricanes,
- 13:31Speaker 2: they've embraced where they came from. I mean, uh, they
- 13:35Speaker 2: they have Hertford Whaler Knights where they wear the Whaler
- 13:38Speaker 2: jerseys and they play their famous gold song brass Bonanza.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Last night watching the game, when when Seth Jovis scored
- 13:49Speaker 2: the winning goal, there was at least one fan right
- 13:51Speaker 2: behind the net in the Whaler uniform.
- 13:54Speaker 1: So these guys travel from Hartford to see the game.
- 13:58Speaker 2: What do you think now that could be. I'm sure
- 14:01Speaker 2: there's a there's a Hertford Whaler uh, you know, alumni
- 14:05Speaker 2: club or something like that where fans do that. But
- 14:07Speaker 2: a lot of you see a lot of Whaler jerseys
- 14:10Speaker 2: in the stands in Raleigh. So they've done a good
- 14:14Speaker 2: job of embracing their former home, as does the as
- 14:18Speaker 2: does the Colorado Avalanche, who wear the Nordis jerseys eight
- 14:22Speaker 2: ten times a year.
- 14:23Speaker 1: And I believe when they faced each other, they wore
- 14:25Speaker 1: their retros and that was pretty good. They did.
- 14:27Speaker 2: They both when they when they faced each other this year,
- 14:29Speaker 2: they both wore Carolina was wearing the Whalers and Colorado
- 14:33Speaker 2: was wearing And I.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Gotta say, Louis, it looks different on HDTV than it
- 14:36Speaker 1: does back in the in the nineties. You know, it's
- 14:39Speaker 1: so different how technology makes some looks.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Oh my god, technology hasn't proved TV so much.
- 14:44Speaker 1: You're right, and I believe the devil speaking of that era,
- 14:46Speaker 1: I think they still wear the green, the green.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Shoulder pad shoulder. Every once in a while they do.
- 14:52Speaker 1: So they all honor the Islanders. Jersey hasn't really changed
- 14:56Speaker 1: as much.
- 14:57Speaker 2: And it's classic. It's a classic Jersey, no doubt about it.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And they don't really have the alternative as much. I mean,
- 15:04Speaker 1: I guess the NYI is their alternative.
- 15:07Speaker 2: That's I think they started wearing that in Brooklyn. Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 2: and they've kept it.
- 15:12Speaker 1: But the Rangers alternative, I don't know. They get rid
- 15:15Speaker 1: of Lady Liberty. I feel like I don't see them
- 15:16Speaker 1: wear it as much anymore.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't seen Later Liberty in a while. That
- 15:20Speaker 2: was okay, that was That was all right.
- 15:22Speaker 1: But we talked like this, and maybe it seemed like rambling.
- 15:25Speaker 1: But I know that we have hockey fans that love
- 15:27Speaker 1: talking nostalgic stuff, you know, so this is right up
- 15:29Speaker 1: people's alley.
- 15:30Speaker 2: So no doubt about it. I mean that Whale of
- 15:32Speaker 2: Jersey was classic. That was beautiful Jersey that the Whalers had.
- 15:37Speaker 2: And Brest Financial. Yeah, you have the.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Question, did you ever get up to Hartford to see
- 15:40Speaker 1: a game?
- 15:41Speaker 2: I never did, and I had I always wanted to,
- 15:44Speaker 2: and I never did. I know a lot of my
- 15:46Speaker 2: friends who went to a hockey freaks went I just
- 15:49Speaker 2: you know, during that time with the Nets, I was
- 15:53Speaker 2: busy during the hockey season. I still follow hockey as
- 15:56Speaker 2: much as I do now, but I was busy, you know,
- 15:58Speaker 2: I was busy. Was sometimes hard to get away.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I wanna we gotta talk about this because sports gods
- 16:06Speaker 1: have a funny way of giving the it, give it
- 16:09Speaker 1: and take it away, right, So yes, they do. Last year,
- 16:13Speaker 1: when the Knicks won a big game, I think it
- 16:14Speaker 1: was against the Celtics. If you remember, Oswaldo Kaber had
- 16:20Speaker 1: a devastating injury sliding it home against the Mariners like
- 16:25Speaker 1: an hour after the Knicks were in Ufoury after winning
- 16:27Speaker 1: I think against the Celtics. So I'm like, something's gonna
- 16:30Speaker 1: happen here if we go to the finals and win.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Sure enough, Aaron Judge four to six weeks now, he
- 16:36Speaker 1: says this thing happened in April.
- 16:38Speaker 2: In April, not May. There's a whole lot.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Of confusion about when this actually happened. But I'm gonna hear.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna take it from the man himself. He's not
- 16:47Speaker 1: been comfortable, and I guess that's why he's on the il.
- 16:49Speaker 1: He wasn't comfortable through the series against Sacramento or whatever
- 16:53Speaker 1: they're called now, the athletics h So he basically said
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think he basically said he's in and then they
- 17:01Speaker 1: go and do these evaluations.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Four to six weeks.
- 17:03Speaker 1: See, Boone's mistake was he kept hiding it. It seemed like
- 17:06Speaker 1: he wasn't really being clear about it. Meanwhile, a lot
- 17:08Speaker 1: of people behind the scenes do this was pretty bad.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Well, you could looking back now that we know that
- 17:14Speaker 2: he's injured, and his production the last three four weeks
- 17:22Speaker 2: has been minimal. He went well eleven games without driving
- 17:26Speaker 2: in a run. He must have been hurt for a
- 17:29Speaker 2: long time. And this is a huge injury. This is
- 17:35Speaker 2: a huge injury. And you know they say four to
- 17:38Speaker 2: six weeks, but if you really read between the lines,
- 17:40Speaker 2: they said reevaluate in four to six weeks. So what
- 17:45Speaker 2: does that mean after that?
- 17:47Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what, I think the Yankees are
- 17:49Speaker 1: in good hands with veteran presences like Cody and Goldschmidt
- 17:53Speaker 1: and then the youngster Ben Rice. I think they're in
- 17:55Speaker 1: better hands than they were in twenty three when he
- 17:58Speaker 1: completely went down, because I didn't even have jazz.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And if you think about it, so there's.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Some improvements made to this team from then, and I
- 18:05Speaker 1: think they can carry it. But I tell you, I
- 18:08Speaker 1: know the Red Sox are under five hundred, but you
- 18:10Speaker 1: better believe the pressure is going to be on them
- 18:12Speaker 1: and win this series because they want to show the league, hey,
- 18:16Speaker 1: without Judge, we can still do it. There's pressure. I
- 18:18Speaker 1: know the Knicks are overshadowing everything right now. They are,
- 18:22Speaker 1: but New York still cares about its teams and they're
- 18:24Speaker 1: gonna keep an eye on how the Yanks do against
- 18:26Speaker 1: the Red Sox.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I guarantee that, no no doubt, and especially after that.
- 18:32Speaker 1: That's why I'm going tonight because a watch party tickets
- 18:34Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty dollars. I'd rather see how the
- 18:36Speaker 1: Yanks are going to do without Judge.
- 18:37Speaker 2: You know, that's kind of my big year, So Alex,
- 18:40Speaker 2: a watch party inside the garden or.
- 18:43Speaker 1: A Reselle tickets are going for one to fifty or
- 18:46Speaker 1: so in the garden it's in and that's about one
- 18:50Speaker 1: hundred and forty five dollars profit because their garden originally
- 18:53Speaker 1: sold them for ten dollars.
- 18:56Speaker 2: But this is inside the garden or is it outside?
- 18:58Speaker 1: So it's inside the garden. And I think what makes
- 19:00Speaker 1: them more appealing is the court. You know, they have
- 19:02Speaker 1: the NBA Finals on the court, they have the trophy
- 19:04Speaker 1: on the court.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, I did not think they are charging one
- 19:10Speaker 2: hundred and fifty dollars to theirs, not.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Them, It's it's the resellers like vivid seats and all
- 19:15Speaker 1: that they are though.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, so what what's what's the faith value? Do
- 19:18Speaker 2: you know? Ten dollars? But it also doubt early So okay,
- 19:23Speaker 2: oh my god, Alex, go home and watch it on
- 19:26Speaker 2: your HDT.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Oh no, I'm going to Yankee stadon because I still
- 19:28Speaker 1: want to watch my friends nay for twenty nine dollars.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Okay, I'll do it that way.
- 19:32Speaker 1: So yeah, but look, uh, it'll be an interesting few
- 19:37Speaker 1: weeks because look, the Rays aren't going away. I don't
- 19:41Speaker 1: think dave any other competition in the L in the
- 19:43Speaker 1: Al East right now, but the Rays aren't going away
- 19:45Speaker 1: as far as the wald guard goes, the Guardians, the
- 19:48Speaker 1: White Sox. There's a lot of competition this year that
- 19:52Speaker 1: we don't usually see in the AL like the White
- 19:55Speaker 1: Sox per se, although look at them. Murrah Comedy I
- 19:58Speaker 1: think is out. He's out six yeah, six weeks, and
- 20:01Speaker 1: that's a big loss of them, because.
- 20:03Speaker 2: My god, the guy wasna The guy was on pace
- 20:05Speaker 2: at sixty one home runs or something before he got hurt.
- 20:09Speaker 2: If if the Yankees were in the National Geese with
- 20:11Speaker 2: the Phillies and the Braves, I would say this judge
- 20:14Speaker 2: injury puts them in a tough spot, but they're not.
- 20:21Speaker 2: If Toronto gets their injured guys back, can they become
- 20:25Speaker 2: a threat? Maybe the Red Sox. I don't know what
- 20:28Speaker 2: the heck's going on with them, but uh, this is
- 20:32Speaker 2: a major injury, Alex, this is a major injury. So
- 20:37Speaker 2: we'll see, we'll see if they can hold on.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I think they come about to jump on the board
- 20:40Speaker 1: with Arthur I Dallas, so let me do that and
- 20:42Speaker 1: produce Them's go here. But I always love talking to Louis,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and we'll have you back on. I just want to
- 20:47Speaker 1: give people a quick wrap around with you in a
- 20:50Speaker 1: preview and and we'll do this all again in a
- 20:53Speaker 1: few days. By the way, I'll be at the Belmont
- 20:55Speaker 1: tomorrow in sarah Tooga. I'm so excited to do that.
- 20:58Speaker 2: It's is the first Dake Joy, Yeah, no, it's.
- 21:01Speaker 1: The first Belmont Stakes that I'm going to since my
- 21:04Speaker 1: dad passed. So it's gonna make a lot because, as
- 21:06Speaker 1: you know, we were at the track a lot, so
- 21:07Speaker 1: mm hmm.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And next year it's back at Belmont Park, yes exactly.
- 21:13Speaker 1: So oh that that's about it, but for now, Lou Terminolo,
- 21:17Speaker 1: thanks as always for joining One leg Up.
- 21:20Speaker 2: ALEX Media, Alex, thank you so much, Joyce Saratoga and
- 21:25Speaker 2: we I'm sure we'll talk over the weekend. Thank you.
