- 3:01Speaker 6: I was getting ready to say, are you going to
- 3:03Speaker 6: say I'm a fantastic.

- 3:13Speaker 7: No, I feel so behind.
- 3:14Speaker 6: I've neglected you for so long day and I'm so sorry.
- 3:17Speaker 6: But they're beautiful.
- 3:18Speaker 3: We're happy to be here.
- 3:20Speaker 2: We're very happy to be That's amazing again, genuine simulated brick.
- 3:23Speaker 7: Simulated brick.
- 3:24Speaker 3: That new car smell, it's amazing, it's amazing.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Well, pretty soon, as I told you earlier, it's going
- 3:29Speaker 2: to smell like most radio stations when they wreak of
- 3:31Speaker 2: T shirts and bad decisions.
- 3:33Speaker 7: Yeah, desperation and broken dreams.
- 3:35Speaker 3: That's exactly he said.
- 3:37Speaker 2: You know a little something about radio, about radio, So, uh,
- 3:41Speaker 2: Jill's let's start with.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Either one of you guys. You jump in here. We're
- 3:44Speaker 3: very informed. What's going on? What do you got going on?
- 3:47Speaker 5: A big homestand for the Birds? So starting tomorrow is
- 3:50Speaker 5: game one of a nine game homestand in ten days,
- 3:52Speaker 5: and we are kicking it off with a massive, massive weekend. Specifically,
- 3:57Speaker 5: we're here to talk about Saturday, which is Women making
- 3:59Speaker 5: a Difference. This is our third right, Yeah, this is.
- 4:02Speaker 7: Our third year, Third Times a Charm.
- 4:04Speaker 5: And we're so so excited. I'm excited. This is the
- 4:06Speaker 5: second year I've been working with Morgan on it, and
- 4:08Speaker 5: last year we introduced a pregame panel, which we are
- 4:10Speaker 5: bringing back this year too.
- 4:12Speaker 6: We have an empowerment panel, so we're bringing in all
- 4:14Speaker 6: the ladies. We're trying to make a difference and you know,
- 4:17Speaker 6: inspire motivate young women and girls by featuring some of
- 4:20Speaker 6: the amazing women in our community.
- 4:22Speaker 7: So on our pregame panel, which we'll.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Kick off at about five fifteen, we have Jill obviously amazing,
- 4:27Speaker 6: doctor Paula Potter of course, the new superintendent for Kannak
- 4:30Speaker 6: County Schools, Lesha Lee who is no stranger to this building,
- 4:35Speaker 6: and Commissioner Natalie Tennant, all hosted by Delaney Wells. So
- 4:39Speaker 6: we're excited for them to share some of their wisdom,
- 4:41Speaker 6: some of the challenges they've faced and how they've overcome
- 4:44Speaker 6: those throughout their life with our young women and girls.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Prior to the game, we also have an all Star
- 4:50Speaker 6: team and this is consisting of women who have been
- 4:53Speaker 6: nominated in the community, really unsung heroes that are doing
- 4:56Speaker 6: the work behind the scenes, not getting that recognition, and
- 5:00Speaker 6: we are so excited to honor.
- 5:02Speaker 7: Them on the field.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Joe, how many nominees do we have this year? It was, honestly,
- 5:06Speaker 6: it was insane. We were so excited and proud of
- 5:09Speaker 6: how many nominees.
- 5:10Speaker 5: To be frank we were overwhelmed. We had over fifty nominees.
- 5:14Speaker 5: So and we're gonna highlight every single person that's in town.
- 5:18Speaker 5: There are no cuts on our All Star team. So
- 5:20Speaker 5: we are very excited because again that's the whole point
- 5:23Speaker 5: of this this Night Right is empowering women and highlighting
- 5:26Speaker 5: the women who are making a difference in our community.
- 5:28Speaker 5: We don't want to take away that honoring availability of
- 5:33Speaker 5: these women unless they aren't in town at that point,
- 5:34Speaker 5: we just tell them come to a different game and
- 5:36Speaker 5: you'll throw a first pitch.
- 5:37Speaker 7: Yes, absolutely, all.
- 5:38Speaker 5: These girls are All these women are going to be honored,
- 5:40Speaker 5: and we are so excited to host everyone. And don't forget,
- 5:42Speaker 5: it's Saturday, so there's also postgame fireworks.
- 5:44Speaker 7: Postgame fireworks.
- 5:46Speaker 6: Children's Theater of Charleston's going to be performing right before
- 5:48Speaker 6: the postgame fireworks.
- 5:49Speaker 7: We have Charleston on the opera, Gill doing the national anthem.
- 5:52Speaker 6: So there's really a celebration of community and of these
- 5:54Speaker 6: fierce females in our community that help us to make
- 5:57Speaker 6: it through every day, and it gets harder every day.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Like I want to go, I want.
- 6:02Speaker 2: To go back to the women that you talked about
- 6:04Speaker 2: getting the nominations. How exactly did that work?
- 6:06Speaker 5: So we asked for nominations on social media and it
- 6:10Speaker 5: blew up. I think we had over twenty nominations in
- 6:12Speaker 5: less than twenty four hours so and we only had
- 6:15Speaker 5: I think twenty five nominations last year. So it's really
- 6:18Speaker 5: great to see the blow up of it. But I
- 6:22Speaker 5: think the fact that these women, it's their friends, it's
- 6:25Speaker 5: their mothers, it's their colleagues who are nominating them. They're
- 6:28Speaker 5: not nominating themselves. These are women. When we called them
- 6:30Speaker 5: and said you've been nominated, they said I was what.
- 6:33Speaker 5: They had no idea and they were so honored and
- 6:34Speaker 5: felt special.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Duty or something exactly.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Yep, they got a call from the Dirty Birds and said,
- 6:39Speaker 5: shoot that I'm not paid for my ticket.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Yeah, it was really amazing to read their stories as well.
- 6:44Speaker 6: Of course, as Jill said, so heartfelt coming from the
- 6:47Speaker 6: people that know them best and work with them every
- 6:49Speaker 6: day or live in the household with them. And it
- 6:52Speaker 6: ranges anywhere from young women who are raising funds and
- 6:55Speaker 6: raising awareness in their community to women who have been
- 6:59Speaker 6: doing the work for decades. And we're so excited to
- 7:03Speaker 6: just celebrate multiple generations that really keep Charleston going, keep
- 7:06Speaker 6: West Virginia going, and make us all better every day.
- 7:09Speaker 2: We're talking to Morgan Robinsonday and also Jill garithrom The
- 7:11Speaker 2: Dirty Birds, Dave Island Show, and five eighty Live. Presented
- 7:14Speaker 2: in part by Generations Physical Therapy, the leading provider of
- 7:17Speaker 2: outpatient PT in the Tri State for nearly thirty years.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Appointments available three zero four, seven, six zero fifty six
- 7:23Speaker 2: to sixty or visit GENERATIONSPT dot com to find the
- 7:26Speaker 2: closest location near you. Let's talk about that panel that
- 7:29Speaker 2: you're going to have, and you talked about I think
- 7:32Speaker 2: Natalie tenantly just a couple of people. How did you
- 7:35Speaker 2: go about choosing who'd be on that panel and what
- 7:38Speaker 2: specifically will be discussed.
- 7:39Speaker 7: Yeah, so we actually asked.
- 7:41Speaker 6: We have a lovely committee of volunteers that have helped
- 7:43Speaker 6: us to put this game together. And all the activities
- 7:46Speaker 6: surrounding it, and we ask the who do you talk
- 7:50Speaker 6: to on a daily basis or who have you heard
- 7:52Speaker 6: speak that you feel really inspired by? Who are people
- 7:55Speaker 6: who have weathered storms made strides in our community that
- 7:58Speaker 6: we feel like can really share that information with young
- 8:01Speaker 6: women and girls as we're navigating building confidence and you know,
- 8:05Speaker 6: all the challenges that we face, not only as young
- 8:08Speaker 6: women but young men as well.
- 8:09Speaker 8: I mean, the.
- 8:09Speaker 6: Panels really for everybody to come and listen and be inspired.
- 8:13Speaker 6: So we're going to be talking about how to build confidence,
- 8:15Speaker 6: how to work as a team, how to overcome challenges.
- 8:19Speaker 6: And I think that especially when we look at people
- 8:22Speaker 6: like Natalie Tenant, who paved the way as the first
- 8:24Speaker 6: female mountaineer, how to break barriers and how to deal
- 8:27Speaker 6: with some of the stress and the criticism right that
- 8:31Speaker 6: comes along with that in a way that is productive
- 8:34Speaker 6: and classy and helps you to better yourself through the journey.
- 8:39Speaker 3: And plus all around this, we got.
- 8:41Speaker 7: Baseball exactly absolutely.
- 8:43Speaker 3: And the weather, I mean it's going to be hot,
- 8:45Speaker 3: you know.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I mean this weekend we have I think a heat
- 8:47Speaker 2: advisories kick in and it's going to continue that way
- 8:50Speaker 2: through the weekend slight chance of rain, but watching the
- 8:53Speaker 2: TV weather this morning and they were saying that looks
- 8:56Speaker 2: like there's rain, it would be a better chance. And
- 8:58Speaker 2: that's widely scattered on as opposed to Saturday. But how
- 9:01Speaker 2: have the Birds been doing since the since the break,
- 9:04Speaker 2: the mid season break?
- 9:05Speaker 5: Pretty good. They are currently in second place in the standings.
- 9:08Speaker 5: And I don't know if you saw on Sunday they
- 9:11Speaker 5: tied a professional baseball record of ten home runs in
- 9:14Speaker 5: one game. So these boys can hit. We know they
- 9:17Speaker 5: can hit. So they're going to come out swinging. And
- 9:19Speaker 5: remember we won the second half last year to make
- 9:21Speaker 5: it to the playoffs. So no one's worried right now.
- 9:23Speaker 5: We got plenty of time.
- 9:24Speaker 2: People forget about the way that this league is set
- 9:26Speaker 2: up is you know, you're set up into two different
- 9:29Speaker 2: segments and like basically you start all over again. Yep,
- 9:31Speaker 2: come mid July. It's like and last year that's what
- 9:34Speaker 2: the Birds did. They did okay in the first segment,
- 9:37Speaker 2: but the second section they really turned it on and
- 9:40Speaker 2: they end up going to the championship.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Exactly, So you never know what's going to repeat this year. Again.
- 9:44Speaker 5: The guys can hit, if the pitching can stay consistent.
- 9:47Speaker 5: We're going to be just fine.
- 9:48Speaker 2: And I want to throw this out there too, and
- 9:50Speaker 2: I may have you on next week, but not to
- 9:53Speaker 2: get all the things mixed up, because you guys do
- 9:55Speaker 2: so many different promotions. But next weekend, I think, is
- 9:59Speaker 2: when our sis your station ninety eight to seven the
- 10:01Speaker 2: Mountain is going to be there and we're celebrating the
- 10:04Speaker 2: nineteen eighties.
- 10:05Speaker 3: We'll talk about that next week.
- 10:06Speaker 6: But love that eighties night, Yes a sign, I mean, I'm.
- 10:10Speaker 7: Getting my hair.
- 10:10Speaker 3: What do you know about the eighties?
- 10:12Speaker 7: I was born, I mean, yeah, I was a kid.
- 10:14Speaker 7: I was a kid in the eighties.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I was an adult, but okay, Rainbow Bright was
- 10:20Speaker 6: my homegirl.
- 10:20Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I love this.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Maybe the first time we've ever had a Rainbow Bright
- 10:25Speaker 2: reference on the on the show.
- 10:26Speaker 7: I'm so proud that I was the one that dropped it.
- 10:28Speaker 2: And Shockley of ninety eight seven of the Mountain's going
- 10:32Speaker 2: to be throwing out the first pitch.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Yeah. All that hair, I mean, I.
- 10:35Speaker 7: Mean powered by picture.
- 10:37Speaker 2: The picture of the wind up was Shockley, who's got
- 10:39Speaker 2: you know, he's got like d Snyder like hair. Yes,
- 10:42Speaker 2: and all that hair is just going to go like everywhere.
- 10:45Speaker 7: It's so majestic. It's going to power the pitch.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I think, I think it'll be a lot of fun.
- 10:50Speaker 2: We'll talk about that more next week. All right, give
- 10:52Speaker 2: us the details again on everything going on. You guys
- 10:55Speaker 2: are on the road right now, but you'll be back
- 10:56Speaker 2: home tomorrow night. Just take us through the weekend and
- 10:59Speaker 2: then Morgan, we'll go back to you the for what
- 11:01Speaker 2: we're doing specifically. But take us through the weekend.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Yep.
- 11:03Speaker 5: So tomorrow is game one of a nine game homestand
- 11:06Speaker 5: in ten days, so July twenty fifth through August third,
- 11:08Speaker 5: you can come see a Dirty Birds game. Friday is
- 11:10Speaker 5: our Christmas in July, you get a light the Night
- 11:12Speaker 5: Hat giveaway. Saturday is our Women Making a Difference Night.
- 11:16Speaker 5: This Sunday, almost anyone's gonna get into the ballpark for
- 11:18Speaker 5: free because it is Dusty's birthday. Kids twelve and under
- 11:21Speaker 5: get in free. It's also Andrew Shay's birthday, our owner's son,
- 11:25Speaker 5: So any kid seven or younger, their entire family gets
- 11:29Speaker 5: in for free. And then again games starting it on
- 11:32Speaker 5: Tuesday all the way through Sunday, eighties and night on Saturday,
- 11:34Speaker 5: and Morgan, there's a lot going on for Saturday.
- 11:36Speaker 6: There is a lot going on for Saturday. Gates open
- 11:38Speaker 6: at five o'clock. Our panel's gonna kick off at five fifteen.
- 11:41Speaker 6: It's all completely free. We're gonna be recognizing those women
- 11:44Speaker 6: on the field at about six ten, So if you
- 11:47Speaker 6: get there around five fifteen five point thirty, you are
- 11:49Speaker 6: gonna have a jam packed night full of fun. And
- 11:51Speaker 6: as we mentioned, Charleston light oppergild who's gearing up for
- 11:54Speaker 6: the wedding singer. They're going to be performing the national
- 11:56Speaker 6: anthem and it was absolutely beautiful when they did that
- 11:59Speaker 6: for US Live year, followed by postgame fireworks Children's Theater
- 12:03Speaker 6: of Charleston. I mean, really just something going on every inning,
- 12:06Speaker 6: with every pitch.
- 12:07Speaker 7: And before and after.
- 12:08Speaker 2: And going back to that panel you've mentioned, I think
- 12:11Speaker 2: Delaney Wells is going to be there. She's an up
- 12:14Speaker 2: and coming young reporter here in Charleston over WWK, so
- 12:18Speaker 2: I've had her on the show for various reasons in
- 12:20Speaker 2: the past, and she's gonna be a good one.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I mean, she really really is.
- 12:23Speaker 7: I'm really excited.
- 12:24Speaker 6: Yeah, she's going to be moderating the panel of course,
- 12:26Speaker 6: daughter of Natalie Tennant, so excited to see the questions
- 12:29Speaker 6: that she throws at the commissioner. She has the inside
- 12:32Speaker 6: the track, you know, of how the Commissioner Tenant helped
- 12:36Speaker 6: her as she was navigating her own career.
- 12:38Speaker 7: As a journalist.
- 12:39Speaker 3: All right, so you want some good news.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I always Our good buddy Rob Reel from her sister
- 12:43Speaker 2: station ninety six to one KWS, sends me a text
- 12:46Speaker 2: that says, just drove through their pulling cones westbound. Yes,
- 12:51Speaker 2: so Rob bringing the good news today.
- 12:53Speaker 6: We were in the beautiful Kaiser yesterday and so at

- 13:03Speaker 7: Don't make us sit in traffic.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Well, you know, so apparently it's gonna get back to
- 13:08Speaker 2: normal here pretty pretty soon, as Weekly would say, for now,
- 13:13Speaker 2: because we got a Now, I'll get in that a

- 15:51Speaker 2: as my people would say in southern West Virginia. We
- 15:53Speaker 2: had a hearing from our friend Rob Real on our

- 15:58Speaker 2: that the cones are being lifted us as we speak.
- 16:01Speaker 2: So hopefully, hopefully, hopefully we will be able to get
- 16:07Speaker 2: you know, get things semi back to normal, that's say,
- 16:10Speaker 2: semi all right.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I got several things I want to get you.
- 16:14Speaker 2: You want to bring out a good friend, Porter Wagner though,
- 16:16Speaker 2: now from the pick of a litter animal rescue group.
- 16:19Speaker 13: How you doing, buddy, I'm doing fine, doing fine.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Thank you for being here today. Man.
- 16:23Speaker 13: Okay, uh yeah, wait, we're having an adoption event this Saturday,
- 16:27Speaker 13: and just like to get everybody to know about it
- 16:30Speaker 13: and come.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Out, okay, talk about them.
- 16:33Speaker 13: It'll be at the Tractor Supply which is in uh
- 16:36Speaker 13: near Quincy Mall, if anybody's familiar with it, just just
- 16:39Speaker 13: before you get to the whig Walmart Supercenter, be on
- 16:43Speaker 13: the left, and uh, we're going to have probably four
- 16:46Speaker 13: or five dogs and a couple of cats, and we
- 16:49Speaker 13: are desperate to find them a home because these uh,
- 16:53Speaker 13: these dogs are getting big and we are just like
- 16:55Speaker 13: all the shelters and all the rescues across the country,
- 16:58Speaker 13: we are just overly full and sad to say, sometimes
- 17:02Speaker 13: we just have to turn down request because.
- 17:05Speaker 3: We know it's got to be to that. That's tough.
- 17:07Speaker 13: We got dogs in laundry rooms, bathrooms and bedrooms. And
- 17:10Speaker 13: Kristin Kinder, who is the president, she was going to
- 17:13Speaker 13: be here today, but we had a dog that came
- 17:16Speaker 13: in that had to have emergency surgery, so she's tending.
- 17:18Speaker 2: To yeah him, completely understandable. Talk about this group, and
- 17:23Speaker 2: you've been on the show and others have been on
- 17:24Speaker 2: the show in the pasts, but talk about overall the
- 17:26Speaker 2: mission of the Pick of the Litter Animal restaurant.
- 17:28Speaker 13: Well, it's in the name Pick of the Litter. Usually
- 17:31Speaker 13: we specialize in smaller animals, puppies, kittens, bottle babies, neo nates,
- 17:36Speaker 13: I mean we also take take adult dogs also, but
- 17:41Speaker 13: we we have incubators and we have oxygen generators, so
- 17:45Speaker 13: we concentrate generally on smaller animals.
- 17:47Speaker 3: We try.
- 17:49Speaker 13: As a matter of fact, here the other day, state
- 17:51Speaker 13: troopers showed up at one o'clock in the morning brought
- 17:53Speaker 13: us a puppy that she found beside the road, and
- 17:56Speaker 13: it was four weeks old in a trash bag. So
- 17:59Speaker 13: it's absolutely I don't know. I mean, all they had
- 18:04Speaker 13: to do was run to the shelter.
- 18:05Speaker 2: And yeah, and you know I have Angie gillenwater on
- 18:08Speaker 2: every Friday for the animals, and they had similar stories.
- 18:13Speaker 13: It's sad. The story about the ones we're gonna bring,
- 18:19Speaker 13: it's a long story. I'll try to make it sure
- 18:20Speaker 13: we got time go ahead. But there was a dog
- 18:23Speaker 13: that came into the shelter back in April. Her name
- 18:25Speaker 13: was Little Debbie, and she was literally delivering as she
- 18:29Speaker 13: came in the door. She was very young. We think
- 18:32Speaker 13: she got pregnant on her first heat cycle, very young,
- 18:36Speaker 13: and we think the pupps were probably born a bit prematurely.
- 18:39Speaker 13: I think she had twelve and three immediately passed and
- 18:43Speaker 13: she was a good mother. But she's only producing milk
- 18:47Speaker 13: in one teat and she simply could not maintain these puppies.
- 18:52Speaker 13: Three died. They reached out to us and we took
- 18:57Speaker 13: five of them and they were bottle babies and they
- 19:00Speaker 13: were four days old. And anybody that's ever had little
- 19:03Speaker 13: pups or kittens know that when they're that young, it's
- 19:06Speaker 13: every two hours twenty four hours a day. And they
- 19:09Speaker 13: are now four months old and one has been adopted,
- 19:13Speaker 13: So we have four left and they've been vaccinated, fully vetted,
- 19:19Speaker 13: they're micro chipped, spade and neuter. They're ready to go.
- 19:22Speaker 13: And they're right now they're about twenty five pounds.
- 19:25Speaker 3: And where are these animals?
- 19:26Speaker 13: These are at our located at.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Your house, at the house, at the house.
- 19:29Speaker 13: Okay, I'm going to bring them to UH to tractor
- 19:32Speaker 13: supply in a couple of cats, a couple of cats,
- 19:36Speaker 13: and we really need, they really need. They're they're they're
- 19:39Speaker 13: getting big, and they're they're puppies, so they're a little rowdy.
- 19:44Speaker 13: We estimate that they'll probably end up being thirty five
- 19:47Speaker 13: or forty pounds when they're adults. Right now, they're about
- 19:50Speaker 13: twenty five pounds.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's and it's I don't know you know I
- 19:55Speaker 2: love animals. Porter listeners know me. I love animals. I'm
- 19:58Speaker 2: not so much on people, honest with you, I'm kidding,
- 20:02Speaker 2: but I have I do have a special place, you
- 20:06Speaker 2: know for animals. Obviously you do, or you wouldn't do.
- 20:10Speaker 2: You and your others wouldn't.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Do what you do.
- 20:11Speaker 2: This event is going to be Saturday, ten am to
- 20:14Speaker 2: four at a tractor supply. That's the twenty seven hundred
- 20:18Speaker 2: east Upon Avenue in bell It's not near the Quincy
- 20:20Speaker 2: Mall and the Walmart you're gonna have puppies You're gonna have.
- 20:22Speaker 13: You from Charleston. It's just before the Quincy Mall.
- 20:24Speaker 2: It's not it's what fifteen minutes something like that, ten
- 20:28Speaker 2: or fifteen minutes at most.
- 20:29Speaker 13: I think it's fifteen minutes from Canos from downtown.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Charge, right.
- 20:32Speaker 2: And you guys have a great social media presence, you know,
- 20:37Speaker 2: Facebook and things.
- 20:37Speaker 13: Like that, and that I like to mention that really
- 20:39Speaker 13: quick too. Our old Facebook was Pick of the Litter
- 20:43Speaker 13: Animal Rescue Corp. It was hacked, seriously hacked, and even
- 20:48Speaker 13: though we were met of verified, Facebook has been absolutely
- 20:52Speaker 13: no help. So it's been a trend across Facebook where
- 20:56Speaker 13: they'll hack rescues and then when you donate to it,
- 21:00Speaker 13: they take the money. So we've abandoned that page.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Okay, all right, that's a good idea then.
- 21:06Speaker 13: And so our new one is Pick of the Litter Rescue. Okay,
- 21:09Speaker 13: so that's our new one. Even our logo is trademarked
- 21:13Speaker 13: and it has no effect. So that's our new one,
- 21:15Speaker 13: Pick of the Litter Rescue instead of Pick of the
- 21:19Speaker 13: Litter Animal Rescue Corp.
- 21:21Speaker 3: How long you been doing this?
- 21:22Speaker 2: I mean, and not just this particular, but I mean
- 21:25Speaker 2: animal causes.
- 21:26Speaker 13: Porter twenty fourteen is when I first hired on at
- 21:30Speaker 13: the Canal Charleston Humane Association on GREENBRTHH Street.
- 21:33Speaker 3: I remember seeing you on TV.
- 21:35Speaker 13: You know, I used to bring an animal into the studio.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Was it was the third or thirteen? I'm sorry, I
- 21:41Speaker 3: got my SA mixed up.
- 21:42Speaker 13: Sorry, Yeah, actually I was there just before the shelter
- 21:47Speaker 13: went no kill. When I was there, the furnace was
- 21:50Speaker 13: still there. Okay, So now we have playgroups at the shelter.
- 21:54Speaker 13: I still say we because I still I still work
- 21:57Speaker 13: up there quite a bit. Yeah yeah, and so I
- 22:00Speaker 13: spend my time halfway.
- 22:01Speaker 2: But but I mean, you know you said you started
- 22:03Speaker 2: doing this on TV at twenty fourteen or in twenty fourteen.
- 22:06Speaker 2: But you don't just go and start doing this. I mean,
- 22:08Speaker 2: you've been an animal person your entire life.
- 22:10Speaker 3: You have to be.
- 22:10Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah, I mean we had dogs at home on
- 22:13Speaker 13: the farm, yea. And over the years, your attitude completely
- 22:18Speaker 13: changes the way society treats animals. The shelter up there,
- 22:23Speaker 13: when it was built, they were really small, and they
- 22:26Speaker 13: were never designed. They were designed to keep them and
- 22:29Speaker 13: then they used to put them down. And now they're
- 22:32Speaker 13: the process of building a new shelter hopefully in the future,
- 22:35Speaker 13: and the kennels are much bigger. The dogs get out
- 22:41Speaker 13: and they get walked so.
- 22:42Speaker 2: And they do a great job up there. And again
- 22:44Speaker 2: I talked to Angie every Friday. She'll be on the
- 22:46Speaker 2: show again tomorrow as well. But they do a great
- 22:48Speaker 2: job too with their foster program. And I have always
- 22:52Speaker 2: said that if you're somebody who has a heart for animals,
- 22:56Speaker 2: and maybe you live in an apartment, or maybe you've
- 22:57Speaker 2: already maybe you're already all fooled up at Hall and
- 23:00Speaker 2: you can't take on anymore, you know, contact Angie and
- 23:03Speaker 2: those folks and say, look, I'd like to take some
- 23:05Speaker 2: of these, I'd like to foster a couple.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Or taken me for a walk.
- 23:08Speaker 13: Right, even at our event, even if you can't adopt,
- 23:10Speaker 13: you can foster, right, We always need fosters and up there.
- 23:14Speaker 13: I mean it's a tough job. You get burnt out quick.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely, I mean really do. And I
- 23:19Speaker 2: mean they've got in again talking to Angie as we
- 23:21Speaker 2: do every Friday.
- 23:22Speaker 3: I mean, much like you guys.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I mean they've got animals that are in offices, they've
- 23:27Speaker 2: got animals that are going home with them, they've got animals.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Anywhere where there's a spot, there's an animal sometimes. I
- 23:33Speaker 2: mean it's it's it's a very stressful job. People don't realize.
- 23:37Speaker 13: When I started there. I mean you would have seasons
- 23:40Speaker 13: where the shelter you'd have puppies come in, then you'd
- 23:43Speaker 13: have kittens come in, and then there'd be a time
- 23:45Speaker 13: when maybe the shelter was only half full. But since COVID,
- 23:50Speaker 13: it just just stays full constantly. I think everybody took
- 23:55Speaker 13: them home and then when they went back to work,
- 23:56Speaker 13: they brought them back. So it's I don't know, it
- 23:59Speaker 13: it's a and across the country that we're just absolutely full. Everywhere.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, what the stories that are going on here?
- 24:06Speaker 2: Can all county get the same that are going on
- 24:07Speaker 2: in every show?
- 24:08Speaker 13: Might be community awareness. I'm not sure what's really going on,
- 24:11Speaker 13: but where everybody is just swamped absolutely well, And I think.
- 24:14Speaker 2: What happens too sometimes Porter and I'm not trying to
- 24:16Speaker 2: play not not trying to sound too judgmental, butal, what
- 24:19Speaker 2: happens is everybody wants a pet, and everybody thinks, oh,
- 24:22Speaker 2: it'll be cute to.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Get little Johnny.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yet that's true dog, or let's get a little Well
- 24:26Speaker 2: that comes with responsibility and pets even I mean, my
- 24:30Speaker 2: wife and I have cats that never leave the house.
- 24:32Speaker 2: They both came astrays. But there's responsibility there too. And
- 24:37Speaker 2: sometimes if you if you don't realize, okay, it's not
- 24:40Speaker 2: just gonna be hey, we're gonna go play fetch out
- 24:41Speaker 2: in the not the cats play fetch by any streatch
- 24:43Speaker 2: of the imagination.
- 24:44Speaker 3: But it's not.
- 24:45Speaker 2: It's not just the all fun and games. It's just
- 24:47Speaker 2: like having of having kids. I mean, there's a responsibility that.
- 24:50Speaker 13: Can and it can be very expensive. I've got a
- 24:53Speaker 13: dog that's allergic to grass.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Really, it took.
- 24:56Speaker 13: Months and months to figure it out, had to go
- 24:59Speaker 13: to a specialist. He gets a shot once a month,
- 25:02Speaker 13: but literally he's literally allergic to grass, and you can't
- 25:05Speaker 13: keep him in the house. I mean, you've got to
- 25:06Speaker 13: get out.
- 25:07Speaker 3: So how do you How does that mean? I guess
- 25:09Speaker 3: the shot just helps me.
- 25:09Speaker 13: Gets an allergy shot. He had blood a blood test,
- 25:12Speaker 13: and we figured out what he was allergic to.
- 25:14Speaker 3: What a dog is it?
- 25:15Speaker 13: He's kind of a Chihuahuah jack Russell mix.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Okay, all right, so a little guy, I guess.
- 25:20Speaker 13: Yeah, he's about twenty pounds.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Okay, I've never heard of a pet being allergic to grass.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Allergic to grass.
- 25:26Speaker 13: Tried every every menu known to humanity, Yeah, to figure
- 25:31Speaker 13: this out, and finally we had we have had a solution.
- 25:34Speaker 13: So once a shot, once a month. He gets a
- 25:36Speaker 13: shot for the rest of his life. In addition, he's
- 25:39Speaker 13: a diabetic, so it becomes expensive. When you when you
- 25:43Speaker 13: pick up a puppy and it turns out to be
- 25:45Speaker 13: a great dame.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true.
- 25:47Speaker 2: And everybody likes the the puppies and the kittens tube,
- 25:50Speaker 2: especially the puppies. Everybody like so all this cute, little
- 25:52Speaker 2: adorable puppy. Well, eventually that cute, little adorable puppy is
- 25:56Speaker 2: going to grow up. He's going to get bigger. He's
- 25:58Speaker 2: going to knock over end tables. He is going to
- 26:00Speaker 2: have accidents in the house. Uh, he is uh going
- 26:04Speaker 2: to maybe chew on things that that he that that
- 26:07Speaker 2: he shouldn't.
- 26:08Speaker 13: Some dogs, you gotta, y'all, y'all to have a spatul
- 26:11Speaker 13: in the living room because the slobberies will fly on
- 26:13Speaker 13: the TV screen.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I've had a few. I haven't had dogs like that,
- 26:16Speaker 2: but I've known people that have had dogs like that.
- 26:18Speaker 13: Yeah. As a matter of fact, in our foster program,
- 26:20Speaker 13: we have two huskies that are available, super cute, and
- 26:24Speaker 13: they just came back from the groomer.
- 26:25Speaker 2: We had a question here for you, says, uh, do
- 26:28Speaker 2: you know anyone who builds Cato's c A I T
- 26:31Speaker 2: O S. I don't know what that is, Stephaniet, any
- 26:34Speaker 2: idea what that is? K I T O N K
- 26:37Speaker 2: I K K I'm sorry k A T I O S.
- 26:41Speaker 3: I don't know what that is.
- 26:42Speaker 13: K A I T O S.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't read to day. Maybe a K C
- 26:48Speaker 3: I saw a.
- 26:48Speaker 13: Cadio like a cat cadio outside cadio.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I get, I guess, okay, it makes sense.
- 26:54Speaker 14: Now.
- 26:54Speaker 2: For some reason, my stigmatism was reading that as a case.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I can read, I promise, like a cadio.
- 27:00Speaker 13: I don't know anybody offhand, okay, and I really don't.
- 27:03Speaker 3: All right, there's are question a couple at the shelter.
- 27:06Speaker 13: They might be willing to give away.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Okay, they're stored in story cadios.
- 27:10Speaker 13: It's a cadio. It's on wheels.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Okay, that's a new term to me. It would help
- 27:14Speaker 2: if I could read it as well. But that's all.
- 27:16Speaker 2: That's well, that's our good friend, Angie. You know, they
- 27:20Speaker 2: they have they work with Petco a lot out there
- 27:22Speaker 2: and they have them in the the kiddy condominiums right
- 27:24Speaker 2: out there out there. Pet kept cadio is a condo
- 27:27Speaker 2: outside perhaps all right, Cat's living, cats living the high life.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Man text says senior dogs and caps are the most
- 27:35Speaker 2: lovable animals ever.
- 27:37Speaker 13: They are. But it also comes, like you said, responsibility.
- 27:41Speaker 13: As they get older, they're going to get arthritis, and
- 27:45Speaker 13: the vet bills tend to raise up, especially if they
- 27:48Speaker 13: have a hip displacia or something like that. It can
- 27:51Speaker 13: become expensive.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and but then you know, here's The thing about
- 27:55Speaker 2: it is you I mean I I would spend any
- 28:01Speaker 2: amount of money, you know, for my and a half
- 28:03Speaker 2: and my wife and a half for our cats. Our
- 28:06Speaker 2: last cat, you know, went into kidney failure. Uh and
- 28:10Speaker 2: in the last year year and a half. And you
- 28:13Speaker 2: know that that told us, it said, well, you know,
- 28:16Speaker 2: she can she can live with this for a while.
- 28:18Speaker 2: And it got to the point where, you know, we
- 28:21Speaker 2: had to make that difficult decision. And we had her
- 28:22Speaker 2: for about a year and a half in basically in
- 28:25Speaker 2: renal failure. And but we didn't care, you know what
- 28:29Speaker 2: I mean, it's a family member. I don't care how
- 28:31Speaker 2: much you can I want.
- 28:31Speaker 13: Advantage of an elderly especially dog, is that they're probably
- 28:35Speaker 13: already house trained. Yeah, they probably all know the basic commands.
- 28:39Speaker 13: So they're easy to live.
- 28:41Speaker 2: With well and sometimes with older And then again, when
- 28:44Speaker 2: we do the segment with Angie on Fridays, you know,
- 28:47Speaker 2: she'll spotlight this is an older guy and like these
- 28:50Speaker 2: dogs are older girl that they're running days are over.
- 28:54Speaker 2: They just want to lounge on the castle.
- 28:55Speaker 3: And I'm thinking me too.
- 28:57Speaker 13: You don't necessarily have to go hook them up to
- 28:59Speaker 13: your bicycle down the boulevard. You can take an easy walk.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly right, all right, Porter of this event, the
- 29:05Speaker 2: pick up a litter animal rescuer. This adoption event is
- 29:07Speaker 2: going to be Saturday ten before a tractor supply twenty
- 29:10Speaker 2: seven hundred East Upont Avenue of Bell near the Quincy
- 29:13Speaker 2: A Mall in the walmart.
- 29:14Speaker 3: You're going to have cats, You're going to have.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Dogs there and they are fully vaccinated, spade, newted, micro
- 29:21Speaker 2: chipped and ready to go. Well, you also accept I
- 29:24Speaker 2: know the answer to this, but I want you, I
- 29:26Speaker 2: want it on the record. You will accept donations.
- 29:28Speaker 13: Absolutely. Somebody would just like to swing thee live on
- 29:30Speaker 13: by donations. That's basically how we survive.
- 29:32Speaker 2: And look if you can stop by and give them
- 29:34Speaker 2: a donation of five hundred dollars or five dollars, you know,

- 36:22Speaker 2: Metro News Midday with thirteen News and Tonight Live anchor
- 36:25Speaker 2: mand A Baron in me Coming up today at noon,
- 36:27Speaker 2: Senator Shelley more Capitol is going to join us on
- 36:29Speaker 2: the show today. Now, Brad mclahenny is keeping close tabs
- 36:32Speaker 2: on this court case of the religious exemption clause when
- 36:36Speaker 2: it comes to vaccination vaccination exemptions for kids in public schools.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Now you will called.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Yesterday we broke the news on the show because Brad
- 36:44Speaker 2: was in the courtroom that in a Kanawha County courtroom
- 36:48Speaker 2: yesterday there was a case involving the ACLU and that
- 36:51Speaker 2: was tossed because of procedural disagreement. So you can read
- 36:56Speaker 2: more about it to WV Metro news dot com. But
- 36:58Speaker 2: is hearing today has to do with the mother who
- 37:03Speaker 2: is suing on because she basically suing the state school
- 37:07Speaker 2: Board because she doesn't want her kid to have to
- 37:11Speaker 2: be vaccinated and she's doing so on religious grounds, and
- 37:16Speaker 2: so we're gonna get the latest on that coming up
- 37:21Speaker 2: on Metro News mid day, because that hearing was set
- 37:24Speaker 2: to beginning Beckley at I think it was ten o'clock
- 37:26Speaker 2: this morning. I think it was ten, and Brad is
- 37:29Speaker 2: in the courtroom. So at some point, odds are between
- 37:32Speaker 2: noon and three we'll have some sort of a I
- 37:35Speaker 2: don't know if it'll be a full decision, but we'll
- 37:37Speaker 2: have something to report out of the courthouse or out
- 37:40Speaker 2: of the courtroom, I should say, back to this. So
- 37:41Speaker 2: Brad mclhenny's actually live there and we'll check in with
- 37:44Speaker 2: him during the show today. One of the guests we
- 37:47Speaker 2: have on the show, attorneys Dante to Trapado, Jesse Forbes,
- 37:50Speaker 2: are going to stop by. There's gonna be a ceremony
- 37:53Speaker 2: held at eleven o'clock this morning, and it's the Advocacy
- 37:58Speaker 2: for Justice Awards and they're a big part of that
- 38:00Speaker 2: that's going on in the Kanawa Valley or i'm sorry,
- 38:02Speaker 2: the kanawh County Courthouse at eleven o'clock this morning, So
- 38:05Speaker 2: those attorneys will join us. We'll get into that story.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Plus my alma mater, the Logan Wildcats, apparently don't have
- 38:12Speaker 2: a locker room for the upcoming football season. That could
- 38:15Speaker 2: be problematic. They got a lot of issues down there.
- 38:18Speaker 2: We're either going to try to talk to the Logan
- 38:20Speaker 2: County School superintendent at George Allenbacher of course he's very
- 38:23Speaker 2: well known here in the Charleston area, or the head coach,
- 38:26Speaker 2: Nick Booth about that. So there's a meeting schedule there
- 38:30Speaker 2: at ten am this morning for one, I understand, to
- 38:33Speaker 2: try to address it. So if we have anything to
- 38:34Speaker 2: report on that, we'll have it on the show today
- 38:37Speaker 2: at some point, and of course we do open line
- 38:39Speaker 2: West Virginia as well. It's all coming up at noon
- 38:43Speaker 2: thirteen News in Tonight Live of anchor Amanda Baron and
- 38:45Speaker 2: me Metro new Is Midday brought to you by Selango
- 38:47Speaker 2: Law and it's all coming up at noon today now
- 38:49Speaker 2: on this show tomorrow, the aforementioned we talked about it,
- 38:51Speaker 2: a lot of ancient gillenwater from the Kannawu Charleston Humane
- 38:54Speaker 2: Association will be here with this week's Adopt Me pleaseped
- 38:56Speaker 2: of the Week and doctor Casey Sachs of Bridge Valley
- 38:59Speaker 2: will stop by, and as I mentioned, programming note on
- 39:02Speaker 2: talk Line today, we probably won't have our preview as
- 39:04Speaker 2: we normally do with the TJ. Meadows because TJ is
- 39:07Speaker 2: actually in Morgantown today on the during the eleven o'clock hour.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Their guests are devoting the entire eleven o'clock hour talk
- 39:14Speaker 2: Line today to the new WVU president, Michael T. Benson,
- 39:17Speaker 2: and Wilson and Meadows are going to sit down and
- 39:19Speaker 2: talk to him. So we'll we'll listen in on that
- 39:22Speaker 2: interview though it be a regular talk line between ten
- 39:25Speaker 2: and eleven.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Then they're turning it over to.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Doctor Benson for the entire hour during the eleven o'clock hour.
- 39:31Speaker 2: That is on Talkline, which airs following this show. Bigley

- 39:41Speaker 2: nine three five five zero zero eight.
- 39:43Speaker 3: The rest of the show is yours.
- 39:44Speaker 2: I got a few texts I want to get to,
- 39:46Speaker 2: and then we'll get to some news items as well. Now,
- 39:47Speaker 2: again as we told you earlier, and again I'm setting
- 39:50Speaker 2: in the studio, so I kind of rely on listeners
- 39:53Speaker 2: to let me know what's going on.
- 39:54Speaker 3: It was told by our.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Man Rob Reel from KWS that they were picking up
- 39:58Speaker 2: the cones on the Carter Bridge. So hopefully, uh, that's
- 40:04Speaker 2: we're going to get back to normal there just as
- 40:06Speaker 2: soon as possible. As I said, not to be skeptical
- 40:08Speaker 2: before it all goes to crap next week, because that's
- 40:12Speaker 2: been the tread I mean, I'm sorry. I with all
- 40:14Speaker 2: due respect to our Department Highways workers and the people
- 40:17Speaker 2: that do this sort of thing. I'm not an engineer.
- 40:19Speaker 2: I don't pretend to know what goes into that. They're
- 40:22Speaker 2: doing the best they can. But we just keep putting
- 40:23Speaker 2: band aids, you know, on these situations for one reason
- 40:27Speaker 2: or another. And two weeks ago we had major major backups.
- 40:31Speaker 2: We were good for about what a week and a half,
- 40:34Speaker 2: and now happens again. I'm gonna go ahead and write
- 40:36Speaker 2: it down now a week and a half for two weeks,
- 40:38Speaker 2: they're gonna be back out there again. The deck is
- 40:41Speaker 2: not due to be fully replaced for some time. So
- 40:44Speaker 2: that's we'll just keep putting band aids on at West Virginia.
- 40:48Speaker 2: That's that's what we'll do. But that and again that's
- 40:50Speaker 2: not a slide that the workers by any stretch of
- 40:51Speaker 2: the imagination, they're they're they're.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Doing what they are told to do. All right.

- 41:09Speaker 2: Air Filters dot us because everyone deserves fresh air. I
- 41:13Speaker 2: hate to just keep you know, harping on this situation,
- 41:15Speaker 2: but it was the major story here in Charleston, not
- 41:17Speaker 2: only in Charleston, but it was a major story across
- 41:21Speaker 2: the state because that is the most traveled bridge in
- 41:23Speaker 2: the state of West Virginia, the Carter Bridge in Charleston.
- 41:27Speaker 2: It is the most traveled bridge based on the traffic
- 41:30Speaker 2: count in the entire state of West Virginia. And when
- 41:32Speaker 2: it goes down, things turn bad really really quickly, as
- 41:35Speaker 2: we saw yesterday. Now I left it, I had a
- 41:37Speaker 2: meeting and I was helping out the sales weasels here
- 41:41Speaker 2: and I had a meeting in Tay's Valley at three
- 41:43Speaker 2: point thirty this afternoon. So when I wrapped up Metro
- 41:45Speaker 2: News midday at three I jumped in the car, left
- 41:49Speaker 2: the parking out here like at three oh five, and
- 41:51Speaker 2: I'm trying to think, well, should I try to go
- 41:54Speaker 2: down mccorcl.
- 41:55Speaker 3: You know, go that way.
- 41:56Speaker 2: So I thought, well, I'm going to take my chances
- 41:58Speaker 2: by getting on the Interstate because at that point they
- 42:01Speaker 2: had they'd opened it. Originally it was just one lane, uh,
- 42:04Speaker 2: but they had another lane open up at that point.
- 42:07Speaker 2: So I got on the interstate, went up you know,
- 42:08Speaker 2: by the hospital, and up on the Interstate like I
- 42:10Speaker 2: normally do, and I was delayed a little bit.
- 42:13Speaker 3: I knew.
- 42:13Speaker 2: I told the people we were meeting with, there's no
- 42:15Speaker 2: way I was going to make it by three thirty.
- 42:17Speaker 6: Uh.
- 42:17Speaker 2: But I ended up pulling into the meeting we had,
- 42:20Speaker 2: which was just off the Tay's Valley exit about three
- 42:23Speaker 2: forty five. So considering all that, that wasn't that wasn't bad.
- 42:29Speaker 2: So yeah, so there's that. Uh So hopefully, you know,
- 42:35Speaker 2: he'll get a little bit better. I got a bunch
- 42:36Speaker 2: of texts to get to and people are schooling me
- 42:38Speaker 2: on what cadios are. I appreciate that. I appreciate that
- 42:42Speaker 2: very much. Now I know what a cadio is. I
- 42:44Speaker 2: should have put two and two together on what a
- 42:46Speaker 2: cadio is, and they sent me all kinds of pretty
- 42:48Speaker 2: pictures of what cadios is. The problem with cadios is
- 42:50Speaker 2: this is like an out This is like a patio
- 42:52Speaker 2: for cats. The problem with that is is that if
- 42:55Speaker 2: you have indoor cats. Both of our cats came in astrays,
- 42:59Speaker 2: and if you open up that door and say go out,
- 43:01Speaker 2: they're gonna look at you like, what why would I
- 43:03Speaker 2: go out there? You know, all my food, my place
- 43:06Speaker 2: to do my business is in here. I ain't going
- 43:08Speaker 2: out there. No way, no way they're going out there.
- 43:11Speaker 2: But if you had outdoor cats, I guess it's pretty
- 43:13Speaker 2: pretty good. Smooth sailing, sir, says a texture. They even
- 43:17Speaker 2: sent me a pretty pretty picture of the Carter Bridge
- 43:20Speaker 2: smooth sailing, and I do appreciate the Texture for letting
- 43:23Speaker 2: us know that. So it is opened up smooth sailing.

- 46:09Speaker 2: four nine three five five zero zero eight. Let me
- 46:12Speaker 2: read a couple of texts here. Tex says, for forty
- 46:13Speaker 2: six years, I supported the West Virginia Republican Party, but
- 46:17Speaker 2: I became an independent on January the sixth, twenty twenty one.
- 46:21Speaker 2: This latest move by the Republican Party shows that people
- 46:24Speaker 2: like me, educated and retired, are no longer welcome by
- 46:27Speaker 2: the Republicans. Today, I will change to the Democrat Party
- 46:31Speaker 2: and be a part of a much bigger tent. Change
- 46:35Speaker 2: the party name to MAGA. So sad, says a Texter. Yeah,
- 46:42Speaker 2: I'm going to leave that one alone, but but I
- 46:44Speaker 2: completely understand what you're seeing it. Tex says, West Virginia
- 46:48Speaker 2: has horrible secondary roads. Go to Kentucky and their secondary
- 46:51Speaker 2: roads are immaculate. Can you dedicate some time in your
- 46:54Speaker 2: show to have lawmakers, Governor Morrissey, and others to discuss
- 46:57Speaker 2: what they are doing to address these unsafe roads. We
- 47:00Speaker 2: need to do better as a state. Thanks could not
- 47:04Speaker 2: agree more. Go national here just for a moment. Both
- 47:09Speaker 2: the Wall Street Journal and now The New York Times
- 47:13Speaker 2: are reporting that Attorney General Pambondi told President Trump last
- 47:17Speaker 2: week that his name is in the Epstein files. I mean,
- 47:23Speaker 2: is that really a surprise. I mean, I have said
- 47:28Speaker 2: since day one, from what little I know about this
- 47:31Speaker 2: whole thing, there probably isn't a powerful person in Washington
- 47:36Speaker 2: or Hollywood that wasn't part of the list. Because Jeffrey Epstein,
- 47:40Speaker 2: and again I'm not an expert on this subject by
- 47:43Speaker 2: any stretch of the imagination. I've read some things, watched
- 47:45Speaker 2: a few documentaries. Jeffrey Epstein, the wealthy financier, loved to
- 47:49Speaker 2: associate with the powerful people, be it Republicans, be it Democrats,
- 47:54Speaker 2: be at the Hollywood elite, and for a time they
- 47:58Speaker 2: like to associate with him too. I mean, the guy
- 47:59Speaker 2: had his own island. You want to associate with people
- 48:02Speaker 2: that have their own islands. So I've said that from
- 48:05Speaker 2: the very beginning that based on what limited knowledge I have,
- 48:09Speaker 2: there's probably not a person of power that wasn't on it.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Epstein just loved other powerful people people. But now let's
- 48:18Speaker 2: make sure that we are clear here that just because
- 48:21Speaker 2: they knew a guy or went to a cocktail party
- 48:24Speaker 2: with him, doesn't mean they're necessarily should be implicated of
- 48:30Speaker 2: doing anything, of doing anything wrong. I mean, we've all
- 48:34Speaker 2: been friends with people who may you may have later
- 48:38Speaker 2: learned were of questionable character. I've lost a lot of
- 48:43Speaker 2: friends because they found out the real mean, but Trump's name,
- 48:48Speaker 2: President Trump's name back before he was President Trump apparently
- 48:52Speaker 2: appears multiple times. Again, make sure you realize and you
- 48:59Speaker 2: think about this. Dean mentioned simply doesn't necessarily mean you're
- 49:02Speaker 2: guilty of anything, as the article in the Wall Street
- 49:07Speaker 2: Journal points out. In fact, the article states that Trump's
- 49:14Speaker 2: appearance in the documents wasn't the focus. I mean, that
- 49:19Speaker 2: wasn't the focus of what they put together. That is
- 49:21Speaker 2: according to reporting by the Wall Street Journal and later
- 49:23Speaker 2: by the New York Times and various others are weighing
- 49:27Speaker 2: in on this now doing their own research. But I mean,
- 49:29Speaker 2: the Wall Street Journal is the one that's really been
- 49:32Speaker 2: leading the charge on this that you know, that wasn't
- 49:35Speaker 2: the focus of the whole thing. Yes, Donald Trump's name
- 49:38Speaker 2: apparently does appear in it, But I mean, how many
- 49:41Speaker 2: of us have seen those pictures floating around? And this
- 49:45Speaker 2: is before AI really became a thing. Okay, so you
- 49:49Speaker 2: know there's always photoshop of whatever. But I mean there
- 49:52Speaker 2: were pictures of Jeffrey Epstein with some high ranking Democrats,
- 49:56Speaker 2: a lot of the Hollywood people, and thus the conspiracy theories.
- 49:59Speaker 2: We talked about those on Metro News Midday a couple
- 50:01Speaker 2: of days ago. A lot of those kind of you know,
- 50:03Speaker 2: came out of that. But people are only interested in
- 50:07Speaker 2: the names for the gotcha purposes. I mean, let's face it,
- 50:11Speaker 2: as as a political society right now, that's where we are.
- 50:16Speaker 2: We're I mean very few people and I'm let's say all,
- 50:18Speaker 2: but very few people are actually interested in this if
- 50:21Speaker 2: they didn't think that their political enemies were on the list.
- 50:26Speaker 2: You know, this is how we're going to get Trump.
- 50:28Speaker 2: This is how we're going to get this Democrat. This
- 50:30Speaker 2: is how we're going to get.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Oprah, which Oprah's evil, by the way.
- 50:34Speaker 2: This is how this is how we're going to get it.
- 50:36Speaker 2: That's what people are interested in, folks. I mean you
- 50:38Speaker 2: you and I both know that, and there may be
- 50:42Speaker 2: others that that you know. I mean, but the average
- 50:45Speaker 2: average person sitting on the internet, they want to know
- 50:48Speaker 2: that Donald.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Trump is on the list.
- 50:49Speaker 2: They want to know that so fill in name here
- 50:52Speaker 2: is is on the list.
- 50:54Speaker 3: So may want to do it.
- 50:56Speaker 2: I mean, the Wall Street Journal has a great article
- 50:58Speaker 2: about that today, and it is also stated, and this
- 51:01Speaker 2: has been backed up by fact that now President Trump,
- 51:06Speaker 2: he wasn't president at the time, banned Jeffrey Epstein from
- 51:08Speaker 2: mar Lago. Uh and that does appear to be true.

- 51:37Speaker 2: of Bridge Valley, Texas.
- 51:39Speaker 3: Oh, come on.
- 51:39Speaker 2: If Trump's name was on that list, they would have
- 51:41Speaker 2: been leaked out by the legacy media years ago, especially
- 51:44Speaker 2: by those that hated more than they love the Republic.
- 51:46Speaker 2: Give me a break, Keep reaching people, keep reaching. Well,
- 51:49Speaker 2: his name apparently is on the list, according to pay
- 51:51Speaker 2: a body. His Attorney General, Jeff Jenkins, is going to
- 51:53Speaker 2: be on a talk on top of the show. Jeff,
- 51:55Speaker 2: real quick, I'm gonna bring in here. The bridge is
- 51:57Speaker 2: open now.
- 51:58Speaker 18: It is, yeah, the middle lane, ye, the lanes open.
- 52:00Speaker 18: That was the only one that was still closed as
- 52:03Speaker 18: of yesterday afternoon, and so it is. Yep, it's opened,
- 52:09Speaker 18: and so we'll be the next step there is to
- 52:12Speaker 18: do repairs at night, to do some spot repairs and
- 52:15Speaker 18: in the fall a little layer of membrane on.
- 52:18Speaker 13: Top of it.
- 52:19Speaker 2: All right, we'll see you later day on Metro News midday.
- 52:22Speaker 2: So then have fun and love somebody
