- 0:00Guys, we are back. It is season 2 of Girls
- 0:03Unplugged. Your favorite girls are here.
- 0:06We have taken a little break over summer, which we'll get
- 0:09more into in a minute. But we just want to say please
- 0:13don't forget to like, share and subscribe.
- 0:15We're on YouTube and Instagram, TikTok and Spotify, but let's
- 0:20get into today's episodes. I do.
- 0:22You know what? I really wish I could say that
- 0:24we well that I was feeling recharged after the summer
- 0:27break, but I am not. I spent six weeks at home, seven
- 0:31weeks at home with children and I feel fried.
- 0:36Devils at you. Yeah, I mean, also my summer was
- 0:39kind of chaotic towards the end as well.
- 0:42But I guess despite our chaos, we did do fun stuff.
- 0:47And the main reason for me, or like what I was doing in summer
- 0:49was it was my 30th birthday, obviously a pretty big birthday.
- 0:54I'm also a Leo so I do like to celebrate.
- 0:56A lot. And I have family and friends
- 1:00here, there and everywhere. So I always do like multiple
- 1:02celebrations. So that was really fun.
- 1:05All the stuff. I was just working really, to be
- 1:07honest, like a lot of my summer was just working.
- 1:09And then towards the end of the summer, we do have a few like
- 1:13family crisises, but things are much better now, which is great.
- 1:17So I'm good to go. But yeah, tell us about.
- 1:21Stuff together. We went to headline.
- 1:24We went to the headline Eternal Meet Cute fest which was great
- 1:29fun. Gosh, that feels like so long
- 1:32ago. Literally feels like month.
- 1:34Well, it was months ago now. Yeah, it was July, I guess,
- 1:37right? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:39But the Meet Cute Fest, if you guys haven't seen it before on
- 1:42TikTok, it's like a publisher event.
- 1:45It's all to do with romance books, headline romance books.
- 1:49It's such a fun time. They always have like loads of
- 1:51cute snacks and activities and like they invite loads of
- 1:54people. So it's nice to see mutuals as
- 1:56well and meet new people. We met new people this year,
- 1:58didn't we? We met.
- 1:59Kids we. Met friends.
- 2:01So yeah, it was a nice time. But yeah, that was way back in
- 2:04July. That was my first time going,
- 2:07actually. But just going into his chef's
- 2:09head office, I was like. Oh yeah, the year before.
- 2:14I did not go the year before Carmen Boy.
- 2:16I had to pull out last minute. But yeah, I the the the thrill
- 2:22in me at seeing like, do you remember when we were in the
- 2:24waiting room and I could see that Quercus and I was like,
- 2:27there are copies of Soul Searching waiting.
- 2:31In. Office to be read.
- 2:34Yeah, yeah, it was. That was so much fun.
- 2:36And I also went to the Siren summer party for Penguin Michael
- 2:43Joseph, and that was also so much fun.
- 2:47Got to make a cowboy hat, guys. That was pretty epic, actually.
- 2:50That was a great thing I did this year.
- 2:53I'm jealous. Of that one, That one looked so
- 2:55fun. It was, it was really good.
- 2:58But for me summer was very much obviously childcare.
- 3:03Zola, it was her first, first proper summer holidays.
- 3:06So we were here there and everywhere.
- 3:09Different holiday clubs, she tried, dance camps and all sorts
- 3:13of different things, all while trying to juggle work.
- 3:15So it was a lot of craziness. We went away, we went Centre
- 3:19Parks, which was lovely. And yeah, we just, I think we
- 3:23just decided didn't we like trying to film between
- 3:25everything going on was not going to be feasible.
- 3:27But we are back and so excited to be back coming, excited for
- 3:34what's to come for the year for us.
- 3:36We've actually been talking this morning about different things
- 3:40that we want to do and we're really excited to share it with
- 3:42all of you. Yeah, we have so much fun stuff
- 3:44coming. But also though, if you guys
- 3:46have ideas of what you would like us to film or things that
- 3:49you're interested in that we've done before that you'd like to
- 3:52see more of, let us know in the comments because we're always
- 3:55open to your guys ideas as well and we.
- 3:58Have noticed that you like our episodes on drama, so we're
- 4:01going to we're going to bring more of book top drama to Girls
- 4:05Unplugged. But anyway, aside from what we
- 4:09got up to, obviously we're readers, we still love to read
- 4:13even in summer when we're busy. So we're going to do like a
- 4:16little mini catch up of what we've been reading as well and
- 4:19tell you guys some of the things that we love, some of the things
- 4:21that were disappointments. Love to hear as well your
- 4:24favorite and least favorite reads.
- 4:26Because I'm always looking to bump up my TBR, although it is
- 4:29pretty crazy actually. At the moment the physical TBR
- 4:32is out of control. But Tor, why don't you start
- 4:35with a book that disappointed you?
- 4:38A book that unfortunately disappointed me this summer was
- 4:42Rein Me In by Caleb Gross. Gross.
- 4:47I don't know how to pronounce her last name.
- 4:49Obviously, we all know I love a cowboy romance.
- 4:53It just didn't. I could couldn't even tell you
- 4:56what about it it was. It just didn't hit the nail on
- 4:59the head for me, but I was so excited for it.
- 5:04So yeah, I felt, I felt a bit disappointed by that one, which
- 5:08was a shame. Yeah, mine is also similar, like
- 5:12not cowboy romance, but small town romance.
- 5:15And that was book 4. Or was it book three, book book
- 5:20four and five. I think of Sparrow Falls series,
- 5:24like both me and Tor have been reading these and in one way
- 5:28they're really good and in another way they're just quite
- 5:30frustrating. They're very addictive and
- 5:34fast-paced because each book has this like suspense thriller
- 5:38subplot which makes you page turn.
- 5:41And so they're super quick and easy to read, especially when
- 5:44you're having like a busy chaotic time and you just kind
- 5:47of want something mindless. But each book is so similar to
- 5:51the last. It kind of follow this very set
- 5:55formula and only the characters change and and there's there was
- 6:01one book in particular, which was I think is it book three
- 6:05that's. Cope.
- 6:06Yes. Whichever book is the is the one
- 6:10about the brother Cope and he's the hockey player.
- 6:13That one was just a little too far cringe for me.
- 6:16And so I did start to get a bit disappointed with this series
- 6:20and I actually had another big disappointment actually, which
- 6:24was Fairy Dale. I had been, yeah, I had been so
- 6:29looking forward to this because a lot of my mutuals love it and
- 6:33a lot of people that like gothic romanticy or dark fantasy
- 6:36recommend it, which is my shit. So I was like, Oh my God, I'm
- 6:40going to love this book, guys. I should have DNF to that book.
- 6:44I didn't DNF, but I should have. It was so long.
- 6:49For what reason? Like it could have been halved
- 6:52that it was so slow. And I feel like sometimes that's
- 6:55fine, like we let the Twisted sisters get away with that all
- 6:58the time because we love them. But when it's especially like
- 7:01for a first book in a series, some some people just get away
- 7:05with it and some people don't, unfortunately.
- 7:08Yeah, well, it's a stand alone, but it's like 900 pages, which
- 7:13so you could have done multiple books really.
- 7:16But also like say for example with the Twisted sisters, they
- 7:20have filler, but that filler is often funny or it's romance,
- 7:25it's spice. But this was just like nothing.
- 7:28That was just like nothing. And the the main characters, all
- 7:33three of them. So annoying.
- 7:35Oh I feel like I'm just going to strike this off my physical TBR
- 7:38then. I didn't know.
- 7:39And yeah, I don't know if you'll like it.
- 7:43I mean. So hard to tell with us, isn't
- 7:47it? Because we can think sometimes
- 7:49that we're both going to love the same book, or both?
- 7:51Or one of us is going to hate it and it ends up being completely
- 7:53the opposite. Yeah, it's really hard to
- 7:56predict. And it did have certain things
- 7:58in it that were good, like the gothic atmosphere was great, the
- 8:01setting was great. I'm not.
- 8:04Typically like a gothic lover, though, to be fair.
- 8:06Anyway, am I like realistically like most of the gothic books I
- 8:09tried to read, I don't end up loving like the only like gothic
- 8:13fantasy romance kind of book that off the top of my head I'm
- 8:17like, I love that was the Belladonna Hollow heathens like
- 8:21oh, hollow heathens. Yeah.
- 8:22I feel like that's different though, because it's a bit
- 8:24that's more like and that's more like supernatural kind of it
- 8:31gives because it's like real world.
- 8:33It's it's. This is similar to.
- 8:36That I think, OK. Because it's set in like, I
- 8:40won't give too much away. It's set in the real world,
- 8:43Southern America. It is in the, IT is in the 50s,
- 8:48but it's it's. Real world, OK.
- 8:52And it's like she moves away. Though at some point then isn't
- 8:55your view. I don't know, probably I think,
- 8:58and you're quicker at reading than me, so you might not.
- 9:01Because like, part of the reason I begrudge when I finish a book
- 9:05that's 900 pages and loads of it could have been caught is the
- 9:09fact it takes me so long to get through.
- 9:11Yeah. Whereas it's like if you're
- 9:13reading it quickly you won't have maybe that issue.
- 9:16Yeah, OK. It won't be top of the TBO, no.
- 9:21If you've read if you've read Fairydale, let us know what you
- 9:24think because I feel like I am. I see people on TikTok
- 9:28constantly raving about it but then when I reviewed it on my
- 9:32Goodreads like when I crossed it off, I saw so many bad reviews.
- 9:36So all I've. Seen on socials is people really
- 9:40liking it. Yeah, it's interesting, but.
- 9:43Never. There's never been anything
- 9:45about it that has had me like chomping out the bit to pick it
- 9:49up. Even though people have enjoyed
- 9:51it. Nothing that I've seen about it
- 9:53has made me think I need to read that.
- 9:55Yeah, yeah, I I also don't think you'll love the love interest,
- 9:59so there's that. Is he blonde?
- 10:02Yeah, you know me so well. Yeah, because I was like,
- 10:08really? There's not many blonde love
- 10:11interests that I like and normally when they're only ones
- 10:14that I do and normally twisted Sisters characters.
- 10:17For me, it's either like they actually have silver hair and
- 10:21their Faye or Dusty Tucker. That's really the only ones I
- 10:25can think of. Leon Knight.
- 10:28Yeah, but I no, not really. I love him as a character, but I
- 10:33don't he's not like a book boyfriend.
- 10:35Like I would want to be with him if he was real.
- 10:37Oh. My God he that if he was a real
- 10:40life person he could definitely like laugh me into bed 100.
- 10:45Percent. He would drive me up the wall.
- 10:48Not those kinds of. People.
- 10:52No, a crime would be committed. Oh, wait until you read.
- 10:56Wait till you read Dartmore. Anyway, we digress.
- 10:58We digress. So two books that you love to
- 11:01this summer. Yeah, I actually so the first
- 11:06one I only just read so it's technically kind of an autumn
- 11:10read ish, but it's still so hot guys, it's 26Β° today are.
- 11:14We going to are we going to allow this?
- 11:15I'm not sure I'm going to allow this if you just finished it.
- 11:18Please I say just finish. It was technically in August.
- 11:24Fine, fine, fine, we are in autumn so you might as well be
- 11:27recommending it to people now anyway.
- 11:29Technically I read it in August actually, so it's fine, but this
- 11:32is A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandana.
- 11:37You might have. Heard of her?
- 11:38Or the book The Very Secret Society of a Regular Witches.
- 11:41If you like romance, if you like romancey, you have to read these
- 11:46books. They are perfect.
- 11:47It's like so cozy and whimsical and funny.
- 11:50This one was really actually quite funny.
- 11:53But it also had like a lot of stuff about depression in this
- 11:56one and it was really well done and it made me quite emotional.
- 12:00Tons of fun family. Yeah, this was a five star for
- 12:02me. So that was one.
- 12:04And then I, yeah. And I've also actually started
- 12:09properly reading a series that tall loves, which is The Crowns
- 12:12of Nyaxia. So I had read, I think either
- 12:16last year or the year before I'd read Serpent in the Wings of
- 12:18Night. But now I've gone on to books
- 12:20two and three and the novellas. Loving this series.
- 12:24Really, really like it. Which is funny because I did not
- 12:27like Daughter. No words, but I really like
- 12:29this. Oh, I love that.
- 12:31I love this journey for you and. It's all influenced by you.
- 12:40So my favourites of the summer have got to be, I say
- 12:44favourites. I've got 3 and I'm really
- 12:46struggling to pick so I might actually just give 3 because
- 12:49they're three that I just I've really enjoyed over summer.
- 12:51The first one is Rewind it Back by Liz Tom 4D.
- 12:54It's the last in the Windy City series, although we are going to
- 12:57get like a spin off, stand alone and a spin off series.
- 13:00I believe from the last book. I know one is confirmed I don't
- 13:04know about the other. Just like second chance the
- 13:10found family dynamics in Windy City if you love the playing for
- 13:16keep series because that found family dynamic like Windy City
- 13:19is amazing and rewind it back was like emotional and wholesome
- 13:23and just adorable. I loved it.
- 13:25And then fantasy books, I read the second book.
- 13:30We've already talked about Twisters.
- 13:31This is so much that I'm in the Twisters binge at the moment
- 13:34because of this book. Book 2 in the Sins of the Zodiac
- 13:38series, E4. It was just so much fun, so
- 13:45chaotic and interesting. And I am dying for Cinder Vale.
- 13:52I don't know, I think it doesn't come out till like April maybe
- 13:55but that was really good and I'm loving this new twisted sisters
- 14:00like world. And I also read a book that
- 14:07people have been screaming at me to read.
- 14:09Honestly I can't even tell you for like 2 years and that is
- 14:12Secrets of the Dead by Laura Carter.
- 14:15Oh, yes, yeah. I really really enjoyed it and I
- 14:19actually jumped straight into book 2 as soon as I finished it.
- 14:23I had to pause because of proofs that I was reading, which was
- 14:28actually E4 and then that send me on this Twisted Sisters binge
- 14:32that I haven't got off since. It's really good, a very unique
- 14:37world. It's I don't even know how to
- 14:42describe it. It has like romantic elements,
- 14:45but I would definitely put it more in it's more plot driven
- 14:50than romance driven for sure, even though there are lots of
- 14:53kind of like romantic plots going on all over the place.
- 14:57But it is like an adult fantasy with romantic subplots, really
- 15:02interesting plot. And it's just, it's it's
- 15:06original. Like I didn't pick it up and
- 15:08then go. I wasn't instantly comparing it
- 15:11to this book or that book. Whereas my brain almost
- 15:14instantly goes into this book is the love child of this and this.
- 15:17Do you know what? Yeah, where my brain always
- 15:19goes. And of course it has similar.
- 15:21There's it's impossible to write something completely unique in
- 15:25this day and age, but I do 100% recommend it to anyone wanting
- 15:30to pick up a a new fancy series where you're just going to feel
- 15:36like it's new. Yeah, it knew 100 million times
- 15:39in that sent those sentences, but it just it's really, really.
- 15:42Enjoyable. Yeah, I need to read this.
- 15:44So for those that don't know, it was actually our book club pick
- 15:47of the month, which was what led Tor to finally read it.
- 15:52And I was supposed to read it too, but at the time I was not
- 15:55buying Kindle books. That ban is now over, so I will
- 16:03be reading it and maybe once I've read it we can do like a
- 16:06full review and tell people all about it.
- 16:09But I think I remember, maybe I dreamt this, but I think you
- 16:12said at the time like the balance of romance to fantasy
- 16:14felt a bit like thrown glass. Yeah.
- 16:18And I don't know what happens later in the series.
- 16:20I can imagine the romantic looks because there is there is a
- 16:22romantic element in there. That's the tension.
- 16:26Brewing like. Brewing and palpable by the end
- 16:30of the book and you're like Oh my God it's like a true there's
- 16:33like this like true like enemies to lovers kind of like plot
- 16:37waving through and I just think the way that it starts is so
- 16:41good. Literally in the 1st, 1st
- 16:43chapter, all there's like 4 kingdoms and all of the rulers
- 16:49from all of these kingdoms go to one meeting in this like central
- 16:52place and they all die. That's the start of the book.
- 16:57So like all these like spare heirs become the rulers of their
- 17:01Kingdom and that's the start of the book.
- 17:03And so it just instantly you're like what the fuck is going on?
- 17:07Like, yeah, really, really fantastic read for me this
- 17:10summer. I actually had a book that was a
- 17:13really pleasant surprise over summer as well.
- 17:15Like you know when something's not on your TBR and then don't
- 17:18reason it for whatever reason with like no expectations.
- 17:22Yeah. Really pleasantly surprising you
- 17:25that happened to me. So my one of my best friends,
- 17:27Kaz, she's a massive reader. We grew up reading together, but
- 17:32she's recently like the last couple of years got back into
- 17:34romantic specifically got a Kindle Unlimited subscription
- 17:40and she was like, oh, like I've got nothing to read.
- 17:44Like I've read all these books, like all the big KU romances.
- 17:48Girl has read them. OK.
- 17:50I cannot keep up with her. So I was like looking through my
- 17:54read list or want to read list on Goodreads.
- 17:57Like what can I help her with when she's someone that's read
- 18:00more than me? And I saw Oz doc few and I was
- 18:03like, Oh my gosh, I've seen this book like a few people have
- 18:05talked about it and elite reading Laura on TikTok.
- 18:09She talks about it quite a lot. Have you read Or's Dark View?
- 18:13And she was like, no, but that sounds really good.
- 18:15I'll read it. And then she read it and she was
- 18:17like, Oh my God, that was so good.
- 18:18You have to read it. So I was like, OK, let me read
- 18:21it. And it's like dystopian romance,
- 18:25but it is so good that I think even fantasy and romancey lovers
- 18:29will love it because it's like enough dystopian to like scratch
- 18:33that itch. But it's not too much where it's
- 18:36like just completely sci-fi or dark.
- 18:40It's not that dark or anything really.
- 18:42It really reminded me of Divergent.
- 18:45OK. Mixed with Savage Lands, which
- 18:49is a series that I read back in like 2021 and really enjoyed,
- 18:54It's essentially about this girl who wrongly gets sent to this
- 18:57prison in this dystopian world and the prison's underground.
- 19:00And it's like properly brutal. So she manages to persuade the
- 19:05captain of the guard to teach her to fight so she can defend
- 19:08herself. Obviously you know where this is
- 19:10going, you know. I love that he trains her trope
- 19:14as well. It's like one of my absolute
- 19:15faves. Fame and he's so good like he
- 19:19has a great love interest he yeah yeah you just I.
- 19:23Know start of a series. Start of a series.
- 19:25There's two books out right now, so I don't know if it's a
- 19:27completed duology or if that's ongoing.
- 19:30I haven't gone on to book 2 yet, but I gave it 4.5 stars, which
- 19:35is quite high for me and and it's super short.
- 19:39It's like barely just 300 pages. It's So if you want something
- 19:45that's like going to get you out of a slump and it's on KU, this
- 19:48is a really good what about you? I will say in August I did read
- 19:56the Autumn book of 2025 and that is Soul Searching by Lila Sage
- 20:03for all our rebel Blue Ranch stands that we know watch this
- 20:09because basically just our friends watch this and they all
- 20:11love her. I read Soul Searching in August.
- 20:17I was super lucky enough to get a proof from Quercus and it was
- 20:23just everything I wanted it to be.
- 20:25It was like all the amazing like romantic plot that we get from a
- 20:31Lila Sage book. But it has, if you don't know,
- 20:35it's still like a Western romance.
- 20:37So it's not Cowboys, but it is still like small town and it's
- 20:40set in a ghost town. And the lead character, she can
- 20:43see and speak to ghosts. So it was a cozy romance, but
- 20:48there were some bits in it that were actually like really
- 20:50creepy. Like there was this one bit
- 20:52where I literally was like as I was reading it.
- 20:57So it was just, it was such a fun read and I want everybody to
- 21:02read it this autumn because I've got loads of people I want to
- 21:05talk to about it with everyone. And I think it comes out like
- 21:0830th September end. Of this month, very soon.
- 21:12It's my next read. I have a copy as well.
- 21:16I'm dying to get to it. That pun wasn't intended, but it
- 21:20kind of worked. I will say I don't necessarily
- 21:24trust Tor when she says it's spooky.
- 21:28Suddenly had her gasping because with peace and love, she's a bit
- 21:32of a wimp. I'm such a Pansy.
- 21:36I will be the judge of that, yeah.
- 21:39No, there was a bit that was genuinely crew fit.
- 21:41I was like. We need to talk to our friend
- 21:45Amy about this because she's read it too and she's seasoned
- 21:49horror fans. So I'm going to ask Amy if it
- 21:51was spooky. It was.
- 21:54She was saying, I think we actually might have spoken about
- 21:55it. And she was like, no.
- 21:59Yeah, I told. When you get there, trust me,
- 22:02you'll know it is creepy. OK, OK, I'll, I'll let you guys
- 22:05know. I'll keep you updated.
- 22:09OK, Speaking of cozy season, we here we've made it.
- 22:15I mean, I am not so much of A cozy season die hard as Bronte
- 22:20is like I do love autumn, but I have this like love, hate
- 22:24relationship with it because I love the aesthetic.
- 22:28I love the food, I love being cosy and warm, but I am a
- 22:32sufferer of SAD like dark mornings, the changing seasons,
- 22:38cold temperatures, like shorter days.
- 22:40Mentally I struggle at this part of the year.
- 22:43So I kind of have this really weird love hate relationship
- 22:46with autumn and I do just love the vibes of of summer.
- 22:49But there are lots of things that you get excited for.
- 22:53All the like good cosy season books are coming out.
- 22:57What are you excited for over the next couple of months?
- 23:01I feel like the simple question would be, what am I not excited
- 23:04for? Because like Tor says, she has a
- 23:07bit of a love hate relationship with Autumn.
- 23:09Mine is a love love relationship.
- 23:12I absolutely love. From September to Christmas is
- 23:16when I thrive. I just love everything about
- 23:20this time of year, from Halloween to just like General
- 23:23Autumn. Yeah, absolutely obsessed.
- 23:26One of my favorite things about it is the books obviously, but
- 23:30also movies as well feel like we get a lot of like darker,
- 23:35grittier, like horror based things which don't feel
- 23:39appropriate to read in the summer or watch in the summer
- 23:43seasons. Almost like for that, I also
- 23:46love autumnal food, you know, like everything is just like
- 23:50cinnamon Chai. Which I love.
- 23:53Part of my love hate with it for sure.
- 23:55Yeah, we both love those kinds of things, like Chai latte from
- 23:59Gale Gales, like so good. And then books, obviously I
- 24:05really like turn into sort of witchy and vampiry things at
- 24:10this time of year. So I get really excited to do
- 24:12those. It's typically when my reading
- 24:15turns from like romance based to fantasy based for the
- 24:18second-half of the year. So I'm very excited for that.
- 24:21I'm really excited for all of it.
- 24:24I am excited for all those things.
- 24:26I just, for me, the love hate comes with like the love is like
- 24:30the whole like aesthetic, the food, the books, the clothes,
- 24:34like I love all of that stuff. I love like Ultimates.
- 24:37I love it when it's a bit crisper in the morning and like
- 24:39just like the scenery when you're outside and in nature.
- 24:43I absolutely love that. The hate just comes from more of
- 24:47like a, I'm a morning person. So like waking up to the dark in
- 24:51the morning, I really struggle. It is just one of those times of
- 24:54the year for me, like this transitional time where like my
- 24:56mental health normally dips a little bit while I'm getting
- 24:59used to it. Like the kids routines kind of
- 25:01fall out of a bit of whack. And so it all gets a little bit
- 25:04much at this time of year, but there is like at least a nice
- 25:07offset. And obviously this year I get to
- 25:09go to Mexico for two months. I mean two weeks or two months.
- 25:13Imagine. You kept that one quiet.
- 25:16Two weeks, so at least I get to like top up on my vitamin D like
- 25:20a part of the way through autumn.
- 25:22Sad that I'm missing Halloween and the kids are missing
- 25:24Halloween. But yeah, a hoe.
- 25:27But I am, I am super excited. All things, you know, pumpkin
- 25:30spice in my head. I want to do loads of baking
- 25:32this autumn. I don't know why I'm not or even
- 25:34a Baker, but I'm like this year I'm like, I'm going to do it.
- 25:37Like I'm going to bake. I'm going to watch Gilmore
- 25:38Girls. It's going to happen.
- 25:39I'm going to least try and at least do season 1 and see how I
- 25:44feel about it. But yeah, I'm, I'm so I'm so
- 25:47excited for spooky season. So what is coming for us towards
- 25:53the end of the year? Bronte tell people well.
- 25:55We have loads of episodes planned.
- 25:58Obviously we hope to get more content creators on, like we had
- 26:02Smitty before. We're hoping to get more of
- 26:04them. We have one potentially come in
- 26:07like lined up to interview who is someone I absolutely adore.
- 26:12It's like. We did realize that for Girls
- 26:15Unplugged, the both interviews we've done so far have been with
- 26:18men. So we're bringing a girl on this
- 26:19time. Guys, we're bringing a girl.
- 26:20Otherwise, we're going to have to change our name to men.
- 26:23Unplugged. We're not.
- 26:26We're not about the men around here.
- 26:27No girls. Yeah.
- 26:30So, yeah. So that's one thing.
- 26:32And then we also have some fun episodes coming up.
- 26:34We definitely want to do 1 expanding on autumn even further
- 26:38and give you our favorite autumn book recommendations.
- 26:42And then we also want to kind of dive back into current topics
- 26:46that are on book talk and like trending topics and dive more
- 26:49into those as well. You guys seem to really enjoy
- 26:52the off campus video and the video we did about that.
- 26:56So stuff like that would be fun for us to keep doing, and I
- 27:00think we're going to try and do some buddy reads as well and
- 27:03like dive into those. Yeah, 100%.
- 27:06I think there are we like we're still hashing out like exactly
- 27:09what everything looks like. Obviously this is still new to
- 27:12us and we're finding a rhythm, especially being back after the
- 27:15summer. But like we said, you know,
- 27:17there's been, of course there's been book talk drama over
- 27:20summer. So we'll we'll dive into that
- 27:23and hopefully like more content over on our like social media
- 27:27platforms. So you just get to bit see a bit
- 27:29more like snapshots of us, maybe some like Christmassy plans
- 27:32together. And we were going to try and
- 27:34keep this one short today. God knows how long we've been
- 27:37doing it now, but we should probably wrap it up.
- 27:41Yeah, 100%. But we are, we're loving being
- 27:44back. We hope that you enjoy
- 27:47everything that is to come for the rest of the year.
- 27:50I think we mentioned at the beginning, but don't forget to
- 27:53share like subscribe, let us know what else you want to see.
- 27:56We've only got like maybe 3 episodes fully planned out for
- 28:00the end of the year. We've got other ideas.
- 28:02But if there are things that you do want to see and hear from us,
- 28:05you know, points of contention in books or of course, specific
- 28:08book recommendations that you want, make sure that you drop in
- 28:11the comments or send us Adm. We absolutely love to hear from
- 28:14you guys. And yeah, we'll see you in a
- 28:17couple of weeks.
