- 0:08Speaker 1: Jonas. Hello, and welcome back to the Hey Jones podcast.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Hey Jonas, this is very, very exciting. We have a
- 0:16Speaker 2: guest on the pod today who I've been spending a
- 0:20Speaker 2: lot of time with.
- 0:22Speaker 3: And no it's not Jonathan or Joe Jonas. I kind
- 0:25Speaker 3: of feel like the guests because I'm on zoom. But yes, yeah,
- 0:28Speaker 3: well tell us.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Where you are first before welcome our guests, just so
- 0:30Speaker 2: people know why you're not here in person with us.
- 0:32Speaker 3: I'm in the other room, all right, you're taking a
- 0:35Speaker 3: pall has a strict contract against me.
- 0:39Speaker 2: This keep me at least twenty feet away.
- 0:42Speaker 1: So I felt that was really inappropriate of me. I'm
- 0:44Speaker 1: regretting laying down those rules because it seems as if
- 0:49Speaker 1: we would have some sort of personal beef. What is
- 0:52Speaker 1: the beef?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Too many handsome guys in one room at the same time,
- 0:55Speaker 2: beef the cats out of the bag. Our guest today
- 0:57Speaker 2: is Paul Rudd.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Yeah, welcome, make some noise.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Thank you, guys. I'm so happy to be here. We're
- 1:04Speaker 1: so glad you're here. Thanks for doing this, thank you
- 1:07Speaker 1: for having me and you guys are having a busy day,
- 1:09Speaker 1: busy day, so it's a press junket day, right, Yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 1: but it's you know, as far as press junkets go,
- 1:13Speaker 1: I feel like it's been manageable. Okay, and this part
- 1:16Speaker 1: is really actually fun. This feels separate from we did
- 1:19Speaker 1: that on purpose so far. Yeah. Yeah, we'll see how
- 1:21Speaker 1: this goes. This could this could all go sound So
- 1:24Speaker 1: we are on.
- 1:24Speaker 2: The press tour press junket for our new film power
- 1:28Speaker 2: balland which which comes out June fifth. We shot this
- 1:30Speaker 2: movie in Dublin two years ago. It's hard to believe.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I know, I was flown and it's so exciting to
- 1:37Speaker 2: have you on on the pod. We have a lot
- 1:38Speaker 2: to discuss now. We've been answering a lot of questions
- 1:40Speaker 2: about the film, which we're going to talk about at
- 1:42Speaker 2: some point, but we've been talking about it so much recently.
- 1:44Speaker 2: We'll start in some other places. I think, go somewhere
- 1:47Speaker 2: else for a minute.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Absolutely, What did you do last night in New York?
- 1:50Speaker 4: Did you guys get in yesterday? I know you did
- 1:51Speaker 4: because we were on the same plane.
- 1:52Speaker 1: But well, I have been here, I live here, Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 1: so it's kind of great. That's wonderful.
- 1:57Speaker 2: We were both in Brooklyn, is that right?
- 1:59Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:00Speaker 2: And what's your home?
- 2:00Speaker 4: I did ask that one time on an interview with
- 2:05Speaker 4: someone I kind of realized during an interview was hosting
- 2:08Speaker 4: someone hosting Live with Kelly. They were talking about their
- 2:11Speaker 4: kid going to college, and I was like, Oh, that's
- 2:12Speaker 4: so great, where's she going? And then she looked at me,
- 2:14Speaker 4: like the kids looked at me with the eyes of like,
- 2:16Speaker 4: how dare you ask for you? And I'm like it
- 2:18Speaker 4: was conversational, it was new. I've lived that moment in
- 2:21Speaker 4: my fame.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Kevin Sha we have.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Brooklyn has the I won't say where, but we have
- 2:26Speaker 3: the best Hollywood neighborhood. I think in Manhattan or New
- 2:30Speaker 3: York City, I should say. It's kind of chock full
- 2:33Speaker 3: of after Yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Do you guys get into the decorations for Halloween?
- 2:38Speaker 1: We do.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I thought you said Hollywood.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You said Halloween for Halloween. Halloween. I know what you're
- 2:44Speaker 1: talking about because kind of like where we are too, it's.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Hollywood is there's a lot of actors and famous people.
- 2:49Speaker 1: We decorate. We decorate our house with pictures of actors
- 2:52Speaker 1: from many different like Old Hollywood, New Hollywood. It's very hot,
- 2:58Speaker 1: we go very high. We really celebrate Hollywood in our house.
- 3:02Speaker 4: So break this down so you guys. So it's you're
- 3:04Speaker 4: living in a community that goes hard for Halloween.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, oh yeah, yeah, yeah you do. Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Out in Jersey, we have like a safe zone. They
- 3:12Speaker 4: shut down all the streets. Great, it's the greatest thing
- 3:14Speaker 4: ever parties.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I am not a fan of of Halloween.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm gonna say it.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I know it's it's gonna get me canceled by all
- 3:22Speaker 2: the people that might want to.
- 3:23Speaker 4: You know, you've dressed up like three times, like his
- 3:26Speaker 4: entire only three.
- 3:27Speaker 2: We weren't really.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Allowed to dress up as kids.
- 3:30Speaker 2: So our dad was a pastor, so we had this
- 3:33Speaker 2: this thing at our church.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Success.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Instead of Halloween, it was harvest Fest.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And it sounds worse dressing up for harvest Fest. Yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 1: it sounds.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's basically thing you dress up, You get candy and
- 3:47Speaker 2: there's haystacks and pumpkins, but it's not demonic like what
- 3:52Speaker 2: differentiates it.
- 3:53Speaker 4: It's at the church, and the only thing that was
- 3:55Speaker 4: at the church.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And you weren't allowed to wear like a ghost costumer.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Oh I see, so so you kind of for you
- 4:00Speaker 1: didn't never trick or treat it. No, I didn't really
- 4:02Speaker 1: want to do it.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And then as I got older and it was more
- 4:04Speaker 2: about like going to Halloween parties and stuff. It's not
- 4:07Speaker 2: an area of interest to me. I did, however, dress
- 4:10Speaker 2: up one year as marky Mark or or Mark Wahlberg.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I did finger quotes there for the people that can't see,
- 4:17Speaker 2: which was basically just me in a T shirt and
- 4:20Speaker 2: jeans and a backwards hat burglar if I do remember,
- 4:25Speaker 2: I was, yeah, what's your favorite Halloween times?
- 4:26Speaker 1: And what do you go as?
- 4:27Speaker 4: Do you guys do themes as a family.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Sometimes, you know, because you know with this we give
- 4:34Speaker 1: out candy and on stuff, and so it's part of
- 4:35Speaker 1: the deal. You do kind of dress up. And I
- 4:38Speaker 1: have had a theme, like, uh, last last Halloween, I
- 4:44Speaker 1: was fran Lebowitz and my wife was Annie Leibowitz, so
- 4:49Speaker 1: we were we were we Weres and Lebovits. The year
- 4:53Speaker 1: before that, I was Quin, she was Richard drive Us
- 4:56Speaker 1: from Jaws. We usually kind of do it together, and
- 4:58Speaker 1: this year I got it. I picked I got a
- 5:02Speaker 1: Halloway costume, and I didn't kind of consult with my
- 5:05Speaker 1: wife and I go, I've got the costume and she goes,
- 5:11Speaker 1: what what? And I was post Malone and she was like, well,
- 5:16Speaker 1: who the hell am I going to be? And I
- 5:21Speaker 1: was like, you know, you could be what about jelly Roll?
- 5:29Speaker 1: She was like she's she's furious, so she kind of
- 5:36Speaker 1: dogged me and I was just kind of by myself alone.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And she could have gone as a bud light.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's actually pretty good, post.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Malone, a bud light would have been a great Like, Yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 3: I went as a Tigger Woods one year, and I
- 5:50Speaker 3: was Tigger from.
- 5:52Speaker 4: When the obviously the Pooh. I was stressed as a golfer.
- 5:56Speaker 1: That's pretty good. I liked those kind of really kind of.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Clever and my day was the spoon and she just
- 6:00Speaker 4: covered carried around. But that wasn't a creative that's great.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Do you have to like now, you know with your daughter?
- 6:07Speaker 1: Definitely you get do you dress up? Or do you
- 6:10Speaker 1: I do?
- 6:11Speaker 2: I I dress up? Last year, she wanted to be
- 6:14Speaker 2: a spooky princess, so she was basically just a princess.
- 6:18Speaker 2: But with I did her makeup. It was like, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 2: spooky makeup. Yeah, but she did the hands, the hands
- 6:25Speaker 2: kept doing this spooky it was And I got all
- 6:27Speaker 2: these brownie points because I was, you know, I was
- 6:30Speaker 2: here to the city with all the dads, and we
- 6:33Speaker 2: left Malti's you know, school, and went to one of
- 6:36Speaker 2: the family's homes and.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Had some pizza for the kids, and the adults all.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Wanted you know, like a quick drink, like a beer
- 6:41Speaker 2: or seltzer or something, and so I sort of had
- 6:47Speaker 2: like a you know, a setup where I had like
- 6:49Speaker 2: a little cooler and and as we were walking around,
- 6:54Speaker 2: I was I was passing out beers to the dads
- 6:56Speaker 2: on the walk and they were very thrilled about it.
- 6:58Speaker 4: It's the greatest thing ever.
- 6:59Speaker 2: And it was. Yeah, it was a good time, boozy
- 7:01Speaker 2: walk with it like we do the Red Wagon.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It's just full oh yeah, nice.
- 7:04Speaker 4: There is a lady in our neighborhood that does it,
- 7:06Speaker 4: but full Margarita like set up. That's too wow and
- 7:09Speaker 4: like shaking the ice, the whole salt, all of it.
- 7:12Speaker 4: It's fantastic. That's pretty great, all right. So, speaking of
- 7:15Speaker 4: now that this has become a Halloween.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Episode, I'm gonna switch gears real quick and ask a question,
- 7:19Speaker 3: really to your movie, because I'm quite interested, but it's
- 7:21Speaker 3: not related to a movie.
- 7:22Speaker 4: At the same time, Nick tells us Paul that you're
- 7:25Speaker 4: a big fan of Dublin.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah, very much and a fan of Guinness. Yeah, which
- 7:31Speaker 3: we are big fans of Guinness. I got to tour
- 7:34Speaker 3: the factory a couple of years ago. Is one of
- 7:36Speaker 3: the most amazing things. What about Guinness do you love?
- 7:39Speaker 3: There's really nothing like it? I mean, I know there's like,
- 7:42Speaker 3: well he could have Murphy Stout there as stouts and
- 7:44Speaker 3: things like that, but Guinness it tastes great.
- 7:47Speaker 1: It has that history, as you say, which I find
- 7:50Speaker 1: very interesting. I think that Guinness is really is kind
- 7:53Speaker 1: of a part of Ireland's not just identity, but it's DNA.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It is kind of they've they're synonymous with with when
- 8:02Speaker 1: another they go together and you know, it's like you
- 8:04Speaker 1: feel you feel like when you if you're drinking a
- 8:07Speaker 1: pint a Guinness, you're you're taking part in something even
- 8:12Speaker 1: bigger than just sitting there and having a beer. There's
- 8:14Speaker 1: just something about it. There's I I love it. I
- 8:20Speaker 1: just love it.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Been to the Devonshire in London, I have yeah, oh
- 8:24Speaker 3: so great. So they have I guess Ash who's a
- 8:28Speaker 3: friend of mine who started that pub. They are awarded
- 8:32Speaker 3: the best pint and I'm doing Nick's Marky Mark quotations
- 8:36Speaker 3: for those who can't see that because I guess they
- 8:39Speaker 3: clean their pipes and their barrels every day rather than
- 8:43Speaker 3: like once a few days or once a week, which
- 8:45Speaker 3: is what Guinness factory.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Obviously, when you have a pint there, it's so different.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Yeah, assuming that's it. Oh sorry, I didn't mean to
- 8:53Speaker 1: interrupt you. That's okay. I'm excited about guinnis for I
- 8:56Speaker 1: am too, which is why it's my enthusiasm is boiling over. Yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 1: to clean your the lines every day is a real
- 9:02Speaker 1: that's amazing.
- 9:02Speaker 4: That's that's a journey.
- 9:04Speaker 1: That is and you know, people often say that the
- 9:09Speaker 1: guinness in Ireland is better and that it's made differently.
- 9:15Speaker 1: People think that when you have in other parts of
- 9:17Speaker 1: the country, like if you have in the US.
- 9:18Speaker 4: It's like bagels in New Jersey just better.
- 9:21Speaker 1: It's but the reason that it tastes better in Ireland
- 9:26Speaker 1: it's not because it's made differently. It's fresh. You know,
- 9:29Speaker 1: they drink so much guinness in Ireland that if you
- 9:32Speaker 1: go into any pub in Ireland there's a really good
- 9:35Speaker 1: chance that that was made that week. When you're drinking
- 9:39Speaker 1: a pine of guinness in the States or somewhere else,
- 9:41Speaker 1: it's had to come over by on a ship and
- 9:44Speaker 1: it's it's still really great, but it's just. It was
- 9:48Speaker 1: made a little while ago. It's just.
- 9:51Speaker 4: And it makes you stronger, right, It makes you stronger.
- 9:53Speaker 1: It makes you stronger. Iron, it's got iron. It makes
- 9:56Speaker 1: you stronger. It makes your life better. It solves all
- 10:01Speaker 1: of your emotional problems. Yeah better. Yeah, Yeah, you can
- 10:06Speaker 1: split the G like a pro these days. Split in
- 10:08Speaker 1: the G. Yeah, I tried to.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Split the G. We had our our big premiere for
- 10:12Speaker 2: power Ballad in Dublin a couple months ago. Is at
- 10:16Speaker 2: the Dublin International Film Festival. You know, the social media
- 10:18Speaker 2: team came up and said, hey, we would try to
- 10:20Speaker 2: split the G for this thing. And I failed miserably,
- 10:23Speaker 2: And I watched you do it a few times while
- 10:25Speaker 2: we were shooting, and with such ease, and became honestly
- 10:29Speaker 2: quite jealous of your ability and and Joe's to split
- 10:32Speaker 2: the G.
- 10:32Speaker 1: So the next time we're.
- 10:33Speaker 2: All together, I'm going to give it my best shot
- 10:35Speaker 2: and we'll give it another go. But a question on
- 10:37Speaker 2: that front, do you have a guess on draft in
- 10:39Speaker 2: your house?
- 10:39Speaker 1: I do?
- 10:40Speaker 2: That's so cool.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Oh yeah, in my house, I have you change the
- 10:43Speaker 1: keg out yourself every day. Yeah, this is why I
- 10:46Speaker 1: know what it's like to clean the lines. I get
- 10:48Speaker 1: the lines cleaned. Weirdly enough, a guy who lives around
- 10:51Speaker 1: the corner for me cleans lines. It's it's like there's
- 10:55Speaker 1: a guy that cleans the pipe. There's a client. He
- 10:56Speaker 1: does a lot of the pubs around it. He's like
- 10:58Speaker 1: a medical procedures. Yeah, I have a guy come over
- 11:01Speaker 1: to my house to clean my pipes.
- 11:05Speaker 4: You guys really do live in a rich neighborhood.
- 11:08Speaker 1: But I do. I go and get the kegs and
- 11:12Speaker 1: the tanks, then get the oxygen and nitrogen mix and process. Yeah.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I put a keg in my house and I did
- 11:21Speaker 4: it once and I was like, cool, I'm buying bottles
- 11:23Speaker 4: from here on now.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it said it's a bit of an effort. Yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and you feel you kind of need a lot of
- 11:29Speaker 1: people to come over because you're not going to just
- 11:32Speaker 1: kill that thing by yourself.
- 11:33Speaker 4: If you do, there's a hotline for that.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yeah. And then there's sometimes you go on and it's like, oh,
- 11:41Speaker 1: I haven't touched any of this in a long time,
- 11:43Speaker 1: or I haven't been around, and then I have to
- 11:45Speaker 1: return the keg. And when you return a keg of
- 11:49Speaker 1: guinness that's like three fourths still full or like half full.
- 11:54Speaker 1: You feel like it's embarrassing and a man feel like
- 11:58Speaker 1: a failure, and I feel very self conscious to the
- 12:01Speaker 1: you know, the guys at at thrifty Beverage like what happened?
- 12:07Speaker 1: They shake your case.
- 12:09Speaker 4: You have the greatest excuse ever. It's like, oh, I
- 12:11Speaker 4: was filming a movie. Yeah, like I'm I was on
- 12:15Speaker 4: set a.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Lot, Kevin, Joe's to update you. Me, Me and Paul
- 12:18Speaker 2: we've been doing interviews and talking about the film a lot.
- 12:21Speaker 2: We've we could probably both kind of list what the
- 12:24Speaker 2: sort of top five questions were.
- 12:26Speaker 4: I can try can I try to guess you and
- 12:29Speaker 4: we'll tell you if you're right or wrong. Paul Nick,
- 12:30Speaker 4: thank you so much for your time. I promise I
- 12:32Speaker 4: won't take too much on you. Guys are doing a
- 12:34Speaker 4: lot of interviews today. You're playing the interviews in okay,
- 12:37Speaker 4: copy cover.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I know we can't tell sometimes when Joe's active, I
- 12:40Speaker 2: just want to want to know, like you did you
- 12:42Speaker 2: guys like jam on set because I know you both
- 12:43Speaker 2: love music. That was one of them.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Yeah, okay.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Another one is that, Paul, have you been have you
- 12:49Speaker 3: have you or your family been to a Brother's show before?
- 12:53Speaker 1: I have not been asked asked that.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I've been asked a lot of what's your favorite Jones
- 12:57Speaker 2: Brothers song type of stuff.
- 12:59Speaker 4: You were a wedding singer in the in the movie,
- 13:01Speaker 4: so it's got to be like, what songs do you
- 13:03Speaker 4: like to sing that are not your own? Like karaoke?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Is that a song? You asked that?
- 13:10Speaker 4: That's what I just did.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yeah, last night they said we have a question from
- 13:13Speaker 2: your brother and it was that question. But one question
- 13:15Speaker 2: that I found to be really interesting because it was
- 13:17Speaker 2: it was it was it was fun to talk about
- 13:19Speaker 2: the movie. But there was one that that just came
- 13:21Speaker 2: up in the thing, and I love you to speak
- 13:22Speaker 2: more about it was it said who is a surprisingly
- 13:26Speaker 2: good singer in your circle? And you had a few
- 13:29Speaker 2: great names. Yeah, I was surprised to hear. And if
- 13:31Speaker 2: if you don't mind, you can sure well.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I was saying, you know, Steve Carell is a great
- 13:36Speaker 1: singer and that tracks and it can go really hide
- 13:40Speaker 1: as harmonies and everything. He's just really talented, really good singer.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Let me tell you not to audition for the office
- 13:45Speaker 2: or something. Is that did?
- 13:46Speaker 1: Did he? I told him, you told him not to Yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 1: what whoa? We were filming Anchorman.
- 13:53Speaker 4: She sings an anchorman. Yeah, what's the song?
- 13:56Speaker 1: Yeah, he does the high harmony. Yeah.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're doing that and you told him?
- 14:02Speaker 1: He said, they're doing the Office. Uh, there's just said
- 14:05Speaker 1: in me doing the Office. And it was the time
- 14:08Speaker 1: that they were showing it on BBC Ricky Dravais, which
- 14:13Speaker 1: was so great, and they're just gonna do those for
- 14:16Speaker 1: American and I'm like, oh, you don'tant to do that.
- 14:18Speaker 2: That's such a great show.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Clearly I was the idiot in that scenario because he
- 14:23Speaker 1: knew obviously a lot more than I did. And it
- 14:28Speaker 1: was an interesting lesson. Uh one, who am I to
- 14:31Speaker 1: tell anybody what they should or shouldn't do. It's it's
- 14:34Speaker 1: a terrible decision. But most of all, thank god he
- 14:37Speaker 1: didn't listen to me. Right, he's a genius and the
- 14:42Speaker 1: show is amazing. Yeh. And I look back and go, yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 1: all right, that one was a lesson. Yeah, No, I'm
- 14:49Speaker 1: kind of with you.
- 14:49Speaker 4: He shouldn't have done that.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Has there been roles for yourself that somebody said, hey,
- 14:53Speaker 3: you shouldn't do this and you did, and you're like, haha,
- 14:56Speaker 3: in your face, look at me.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I'm Steve Kroll.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Now, No, there have been things that people say. You
- 15:03Speaker 1: people that say, oh, you shouldn't do that role, but
- 15:06Speaker 1: it's after. It's generally after I did the thing and
- 15:08Speaker 1: it came out.
- 15:11Speaker 4: We've gotten a couple of those. Oh that's always the
- 15:14Speaker 4: great one.
- 15:14Speaker 3: You you look, you're like, there's a film I was in,
- 15:19Speaker 3: or it was a movie I was in and like
- 15:22Speaker 3: somebody walked up in me and you could tell they
- 15:23Speaker 3: didn't know what to say.
- 15:24Speaker 4: But they're like that that is a film.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Well, I gotta say, technically that was a film credits
- 15:33Speaker 1: and everything. H Well, I mean I was sitting there,
- 15:36Speaker 1: it was projected, it was right there up there on
- 15:38Speaker 1: the screen. I couldn't believe it, and there's pop. These
- 15:40Speaker 1: people see this. That's crazy.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Okay, Well, so there's Steve Carell. That worked out just fine.
- 15:47Speaker 2: But who else were those names that you mentioned were
- 15:50Speaker 2: great singers? Because I feel like the world needs to know.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Yeah, Bobby conn of Olli is a great singer. Bobby
- 15:56Speaker 1: kna a name like that. Yeah, you know, I've worked
- 16:00Speaker 1: with Ken Marino's many times. He's a dear friend of mine.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And you know they he's a great singer and he
- 16:07Speaker 1: actually sings in this thing called the middle Aged Dad
- 16:10Speaker 1: Jam Band with David Wayne and so you can see
- 16:13Speaker 1: it on like they tour. It sounds. Yeah, you can
- 16:17Speaker 1: check him out, and he's he's really good. He's really good.
- 16:20Speaker 1: He can also sing exactly like James Taylor, which is
- 16:25Speaker 1: really weird. We used to do karaoke a lot together.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I said, put in a James Taylor's song and it
- 16:31Speaker 1: sounds like the record. It's crazy. And then the other
- 16:34Speaker 1: one that he can do like to a t will
- 16:39Speaker 1: surprise you, Macy Gray. That is range. This is how
- 16:46Speaker 1: talented Ken Marino is, great actor, great writer, hilarious, can
- 16:52Speaker 1: sound exactly like James Taylor and exactly like Macy Gray,
- 16:56Speaker 1: and he might be the only person on the planet.
- 16:58Speaker 4: She do a recording of a duet between the two.
- 17:02Speaker 2: That's good.
- 17:02Speaker 1: That's right. Maybe he could do her town too, but
- 17:06Speaker 1: instead of Jad's other du Macy Gray and James Taylor.
- 17:11Speaker 1: That's a great idea.
- 17:12Speaker 2: That's amazing. Now, speaking of impressions, natural seque, you're you're
- 17:17Speaker 2: part of the five Timers Club? Yeah? Yeah, and l
- 17:20Speaker 2: which is did you get a jacketing?
- 17:23Speaker 1: I did.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Yeah, they didn't give naked jacket.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I'm not a part of the five timers club, That's why.
- 17:27Speaker 2: But this is a thing that I wanted to discuss
- 17:29Speaker 2: with you. I have been a musical guest more than
- 17:33Speaker 2: five times now. I don't know if that counts.
- 17:35Speaker 1: But they gave Wow, Jack White, they gave him a jacket.
- 17:39Speaker 1: They dad didn't. Is he the first musical guest to
- 17:42Speaker 1: get a one of the jackets?
- 17:44Speaker 2: Well, he's certainly not the first to do it, clearly.
- 17:46Speaker 2: How many times have you died bitter?
- 17:48Speaker 1: I think it is.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I think it is about five times that I've been
- 17:50Speaker 2: a musical guest. I've hosted once. Yeah, but you have
- 17:53Speaker 2: the jacket.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I have the jacket. I have a house.
- 17:55Speaker 4: You n your jacket, your jacket.
- 17:59Speaker 1: The fifth I am I hosted. It was during COVID,
- 18:04Speaker 1: and it's actually the only show in SNL's history that
- 18:11Speaker 1: they actually we still did it, but everyone was sent home,
- 18:14Speaker 1: so we kind of had to cancel the show. No
- 18:17Speaker 1: sketches and everything, and we're scrambling to rewrite what the
- 18:20Speaker 1: show might be. So it was pretty it was pretty.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Before it's incredible.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, there was industry. What is COVID again. First,
- 18:31Speaker 1: let's go back to the wet markets. Yeah, so you
- 18:37Speaker 1: got you've got these bats. I'm gonna do your your
- 18:39Speaker 1: air quotes. There's it's market Mark's fault. Yeah, market Mark
- 18:44Speaker 1: and the Funky Bats Five Timers Club that we had
- 18:49Speaker 1: a big opening sketch and Tom Hanks was in it
- 18:52Speaker 1: and Tina Fey was in it and a bunch of
- 18:56Speaker 1: people that were you know, and the show at about
- 19:01Speaker 1: two or three got uh canceled. They told other people
- 19:07Speaker 1: that were in the sketch not to come in.
- 19:10Speaker 4: This is the day of So you think there was
- 19:12Speaker 4: some exposures that was that was happening, Well.
- 19:13Speaker 1: It was just when the Omicron variant was kind of
- 19:18Speaker 1: popping up, and we were.
- 19:19Speaker 4: On a musical tour at that point, and the Omicron
- 19:22Speaker 4: musical we were on a we were doing shows for
- 19:26Speaker 4: the cruise and people were dropping like.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Flies, and the cast was really nervous and understandably, and
- 19:36Speaker 1: there was a lot of confusion and people didn't know
- 19:38Speaker 1: what to do. So everyone kind of went home. But
- 19:42Speaker 1: Tom Hanks and Tina Fey were already in the studio
- 19:45Speaker 1: because we were gonna rehearse and do all that, and
- 19:49Speaker 1: so they wound up staying and we were coming up
- 19:53Speaker 1: with what the show might be, and uh Tina wound
- 19:57Speaker 1: up doing Weekend Update with Michael Chay because Colin Shows
- 20:03Speaker 1: had COVID and wasn't there and and it was weird.
- 20:07Speaker 1: And then Tom Hanks, Keenan Thompson and I it was
- 20:12Speaker 1: just the three of us sitting in the audience watching
- 20:15Speaker 1: Weekend Update with the two of them, and it was
- 20:18Speaker 1: just like five of us. It was so surreal.
- 20:21Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Wild. Yeah, And Charlie XCX was supposed to be the
- 20:25Speaker 1: musical guest. They sent her home. We had already filmed
- 20:31Speaker 1: a couple of pieces that week, so they aired those
- 20:35Speaker 1: and then we talked about favorite sketches from Christmas shows
- 20:39Speaker 1: in the past, because it was a Christmas show and
- 20:42Speaker 1: it was a real amazing example of the show must
- 20:45Speaker 1: go on, but a very very unique experience. That is wild.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to go back and watch that to
- 20:52Speaker 1: watch it too.
- 20:53Speaker 2: We have a tradition on our little pod here, a
- 20:57Speaker 2: new tradition. It's just a bowl of stupid questions, nothing
- 21:00Speaker 2: to do with one's career.
- 21:02Speaker 3: We don't know if they're stupid. Actually, Nick, that's they
- 21:04Speaker 3: might actually stupid. They might be important.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Okaylo, question there we go that sounds free you sir? Okay,
- 21:10Speaker 4: what's your most irrational fear that.
- 21:14Speaker 1: You know makes no sense?
- 21:15Speaker 2: And starting off with a light.
- 21:16Speaker 4: One SNL hosting an irrational fear that makes.
- 21:24Speaker 1: No sense? Just doing podcasts, honestly, I get it, clip it.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I feel you on that.
- 21:31Speaker 1: No.
- 21:32Speaker 2: No, we were recently in our our our you know,
- 21:35Speaker 2: sort of album promo I guess this last year, and
- 21:37Speaker 2: I really enjoyed the podcast form. Otherwise we wouldn't be
- 21:41Speaker 2: doing this. But some of them that touch on some
- 21:44Speaker 2: of the more emotional things, you know, it got really real.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I found myself really taken by it. Used to be, right,
- 21:51Speaker 2: we'd just do interviews and it was all the surface
- 21:53Speaker 2: of a fun ship. And now we're asking you questions
- 21:54Speaker 2: out of a bowl, like what's your most irrational fear?
- 21:56Speaker 1: It's a great question, by the way, and it's and
- 21:58Speaker 1: I wish, you know, I wish I had like like
- 22:00Speaker 1: a more entertaining answer, like you know, pinto beans or
- 22:05Speaker 1: something weird? Right, like what and that makes no sense
- 22:07Speaker 1: to have.
- 22:07Speaker 4: An irrational fear that you can't Where do you want
- 22:10Speaker 4: to begin?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Well? Yeah, I mean yeah, I think we all do.
- 22:13Speaker 2: But it's a strange thing to have to come up
- 22:16Speaker 2: within the moment and then answer it or have it
- 22:18Speaker 2: in the back of your mind you know it's there,
- 22:19Speaker 2: and say, well, now I'm doing the whole world. Yeah,
- 22:22Speaker 2: so what don't going other question? Okay, but I respect
- 22:25Speaker 2: the answer.
- 22:25Speaker 1: No, I remember that is like being facetious. But I can't.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to. I will have many rational fears, irrational fears.
- 22:33Speaker 4: This one may or may not fully apply.
- 22:34Speaker 1: So we're going to figure this out.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Would you rather accidentally like an ex's photo from eight
- 22:39Speaker 4: years ago or send a voice memo.
- 22:41Speaker 2: You didn't mean to send?
- 22:42Speaker 1: Well, you know I've been married for quite Yeah, my
- 22:45Speaker 1: wife and I have been together for so long.
- 22:47Speaker 4: So put the number whatever that is plus like four
- 22:50Speaker 4: for like an ex.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Well, if I did that, it was the child. I've
- 22:57Speaker 1: been with my wife for longer then I've not been
- 23:01Speaker 1: with her. I've been my wife. I've been together for
- 23:03Speaker 1: over thirty years. No, no, no, no, no, let's talk
- 23:07Speaker 1: about I guess and if by an X before that
- 23:08Speaker 1: I did, I mean, this is how old I am.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I actually did have excess before it would've been together
- 23:15Speaker 1: for thirty years. So I guess it would be. Yeah,
- 23:20Speaker 1: just an ex of my girlfriend. I dated Jessica Tandy
- 23:24Speaker 1: back in the day.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Andy, what a name?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Isn't it weird?
- 23:28Speaker 2: Like those names just like they stay there and the
- 23:31Speaker 2: home phone.
- 23:32Speaker 4: So would you rather accidently yeah, I can do that one.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Would you rather accidentally like that? Or send a voice
- 23:36Speaker 4: memo you didn't mean to send?
- 23:38Speaker 1: No?
- 23:38Speaker 4: I think you mean just getting a picture like you
- 23:41Speaker 4: just like you know, you scroll on Instagram and you're like,
- 23:42Speaker 4: heart a photo.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Oh if you heart it from.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Eight years ago, which means you're deep in the feed.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Oh see this is how again, I'm a fossil I
- 23:54Speaker 1: do what is this Instagram you're talking about?
- 23:56Speaker 4: Copy of copy understood.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Yes, it depends what are you saying the a voice memo?
- 24:00Speaker 1: You don't mean like if your it depends on what
- 24:03Speaker 1: the voice memo is.
- 24:04Speaker 4: That's totally true.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I mean if it's like, if you're sending a voice memo,
- 24:07Speaker 1: that's just like hey, you want to say, hey, see
- 24:09Speaker 1: how you're doing, Like and you send it to somebody.
- 24:11Speaker 1: That great if you send it if you're talking, if
- 24:14Speaker 1: you're talking ship or you're like, there's something going on
- 24:17Speaker 1: with my colon And then you send them to like
- 24:20Speaker 1: you know, actually like your your your kid's dentist, your
- 24:25Speaker 1: kid's dentist, and it's like I think, and dents says, well,
- 24:30Speaker 1: that's a different line of medicine. Are you I think
- 24:35Speaker 1: I can check your teeth? Yeah, I mean, I'll see
- 24:39Speaker 1: how the chair adjusts. Come on in, come on, I
- 24:43Speaker 1: do have a lot of equipment here, very bright light.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Although when I say rinse, definitely don't go near don't
- 24:50Speaker 1: go near the bowl or do.
- 24:54Speaker 4: I gotta say the voice memo thing. My wife was
- 24:57Speaker 4: in her bedroom with her sister the other day and
- 25:00Speaker 4: they were up there for like an hour and a half.
- 25:01Speaker 4: They come down, she grabs her phone and she didn't
- 25:03Speaker 4: realize she they were definitely up there, like being sisters
- 25:06Speaker 4: talking shit, and they had recorded about being probably about
- 25:10Speaker 4: everybody and anyone who knows you know, they're just about
- 25:13Speaker 4: Paul Rudd Nick. Yeah, they recorded on accident. The entire
- 25:17Speaker 4: conversation was. It was recording for an hour and forty minutes.
- 25:20Speaker 4: Oh wow, I was like, guys, before you delete this,
- 25:23Speaker 4: let me listen to it.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Did they let you know? They were like absolutely not.
- 25:28Speaker 4: They like so I knew that they were definitely talking.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Oh wow, because used any of those.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Like it's like a sleep app where you can record
- 25:35Speaker 4: you're your sleep talking.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, i'd be kind of do you talk? Do
- 25:39Speaker 1: you talk in your sleep? Do you guys talk in
- 25:40Speaker 1: your sleep?
- 25:41Speaker 3: I think everyone does and doesn't realize because I thought
- 25:44Speaker 3: I didn't really speak speak in my sleep talk in
- 25:47Speaker 3: my sleep? And little things like you know, just you're
- 25:52Speaker 3: I can probably pull it up. It want something recording
- 25:54Speaker 3: me while I'm sleeping.
- 25:55Speaker 4: There's a lot of fart noises and a lot of
- 25:57Speaker 4: like yeah, it's like just.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Ye man, yeah yeah.
- 26:03Speaker 4: And speaking of ant man, you saved a candy store.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Yea, I've been to the candy store. Actually, Joe and
- 26:09Speaker 2: I both went, yeah.
- 26:10Speaker 1: We we should wear big sup borders you. I know,
- 26:13Speaker 1: I was very touched that you did, and I, uh,
- 26:16Speaker 1: you're a sneaky because I was like, oh, let mean,
- 26:19Speaker 1: you know.
- 26:19Speaker 3: To be fair, we didn't really I didn't know it
- 26:21Speaker 3: was yours until afterwards because I saw there was candy
- 26:25Speaker 3: with your face on it, and that was kind of
- 26:27Speaker 3: a I was like, is there there.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Being a little self congratulatory? Doesn't it well? In my
- 26:31Speaker 1: candy store? I get a right christy tree with my
- 26:32Speaker 1: face on it. Yeah, that's incredible. So I was this
- 26:35Speaker 1: story was confused.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I was like, this small town in upstate New York
- 26:38Speaker 3: has this cute little candy store and they really like
- 26:41Speaker 3: Paul Rudd.
- 26:41Speaker 1: This story, that's amazing.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I'm into it.
- 26:45Speaker 1: How did that happen? So how it come to be? Yeah,
- 26:46Speaker 1: how it happened. It's in rhine Beeck, New York, deck
- 26:50Speaker 1: and there this store existed before I became one of
- 26:56Speaker 1: the co owners. There are a couple of us, but
- 27:00Speaker 1: the actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his wife Hillary Burton,
- 27:04Speaker 1: they are also owners, our friend Andy Astroyd, and then
- 27:08Speaker 1: my wife and I. And this store was owned by
- 27:12Speaker 1: a guy named Ira who was kind of a fixture
- 27:15Speaker 1: in the town and and the loveliest guy who sadly
- 27:19Speaker 1: passed away in his fifties. And the town isn't that big,
- 27:27Speaker 1: and the candy store is so kind of crucial I
- 27:29Speaker 1: think for the town. We didn't want to lose the
- 27:33Speaker 1: store for the town, and so we took it over
- 27:38Speaker 1: just with the hopes of not hopefully not losing too
- 27:42Speaker 1: much money, but keeping it for the for the kids
- 27:44Speaker 1: that you know that work there toally and for the
- 27:46Speaker 1: town and people go in and it's been really one
- 27:49Speaker 1: of the great things that we share all of us
- 27:53Speaker 1: and in our lives. And it's so nice because we're
- 27:56Speaker 1: in there all the time. But nobody's in a bad
- 27:59Speaker 1: mood when they're in a cane candy store. No way.
- 28:01Speaker 1: And uh they actually there's a bag of candy here.
- 28:04Speaker 1: By the way, I did spy the sticker on that bag.
- 28:07Speaker 4: So I've just saying to open the bag of candy
- 28:09Speaker 4: and see what's inside.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yeah, they're curious. Here you picked up so these are oh,
- 28:15Speaker 1: this is from your shop.
- 28:16Speaker 4: This is from the shop from Samuel's chest. So if
- 28:19Speaker 4: you're ever in rhneback, everyone make sure.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Those are Those are clod hoppers. I noticed them.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Hops are big winner.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Clodhoppers are killing.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Love the Lego blocks, the non branded Lego.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Blocks, Yeah they really those. This is I love candy.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I have a real issue like and I like candy
- 28:37Speaker 1: that is really meant for little kids. I love those
- 28:42Speaker 1: lego candies and they actually do click together like legos.
- 28:45Speaker 4: They're incredibly fun to play with.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Andy. That was quite good. Well, it's a beautiful story.
- 28:51Speaker 2: We loved going there. We were at your candy chaptering
- 28:53Speaker 2: Christmas time. Yeah, I get mine flown to New York City.
- 28:56Speaker 2: As you can see, we were clearly not locals when
- 28:59Speaker 2: we we went, because we went out for lunch on
- 29:03Speaker 2: the day after Christmas and at about three pm weather
- 29:08Speaker 2: started to change and this this snowstorm started.
- 29:10Speaker 3: You kind of sound like you're telling a children's Christmas story, Nick,
- 29:14Speaker 3: I'm kind of am. It's the day after Christmas, and
- 29:17Speaker 3: we basically sit.
- 29:18Speaker 2: The restaurant, and the people that work there like, hey,
- 29:21Speaker 2: you know you might want to go soon. It's going
- 29:22Speaker 2: to get pretty bad. We're like, oh, it doesn't look
- 29:24Speaker 2: too bad yet. So Joe and I decided to walk
- 29:27Speaker 2: around the town with my daughter and parents and this
- 29:33Speaker 2: thing kicks up. Yeah, storm kicks up, and so we
- 29:35Speaker 2: go in the pizza shop to get a quote, emergency
- 29:38Speaker 2: pizza in case the power shuts down everything else, And
- 29:41Speaker 2: then we stalled even further and went to your candy shop.
- 29:43Speaker 2: And that's when they were basically like, you should probably
- 29:45Speaker 2: get home now.
- 29:46Speaker 1: It was that storm was crazy. It was wild.
- 29:49Speaker 2: We got our car got stuck at the base of
- 29:51Speaker 2: this hill and we had to walk up about a
- 29:54Speaker 2: quarter mile in the snowstorm. And there's some photos that
- 29:57Speaker 2: you can see if you're watching the pot and put
- 29:58Speaker 2: them up there.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Okay, let's move on to Saved the Pizza candy. And
- 30:03Speaker 1: by the way, I just had a pizza. It was incredible.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Would you like these right now or are you not?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Really? Save him for later? So great reflex these. This
- 30:14Speaker 1: is the thing about the these candy legos. I really
- 30:18Speaker 1: like the yellow ones because they're kind of banana flavored.
- 30:21Speaker 1: The red ones are really good. I think that might
- 30:23Speaker 1: be Kevin hates good thing you got the Vin. Kevin's
- 30:27Speaker 1: fake allergic to banana, banana candy, just banana everything. I
- 30:30Speaker 1: have a way of eating these too, where it's like
- 30:32Speaker 1: I scraped the off does The blue ones will turn
- 30:39Speaker 1: your tongue bright blue.
- 30:41Speaker 4: You should eat that before the premiere tonight.
- 30:43Speaker 1: That'll look good, all right?
- 30:44Speaker 4: So I have some questions from people, and this is
- 30:46Speaker 4: what they want to know. This is from Sarah. Clueless
- 30:49Speaker 4: is iconic. Of course it is Sarah, and everyone loves it.
- 30:52Speaker 4: But did anyone ever bring up on the set that
- 30:54Speaker 4: share in her stepbrother dating was maybe a little weird.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I think maybe they did. I definitely heard about it
- 31:03Speaker 1: after the movie came out. People would take the thing
- 31:05Speaker 1: that's kind of strange. Yeah, but it's a bold choice.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Not their fault.
- 31:10Speaker 4: They're attracted to each.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Other and they you know, technically slip it. Not blood related.
- 31:17Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. All the same, I see what
- 31:20Speaker 1: you're saying. It's, by the way, what a horrible thing
- 31:24Speaker 1: decision this was to eat a piece of candy next
- 31:27Speaker 1: to a like this to a microphone, especially one of
- 31:30Speaker 1: these legos, which takes a while. I'll take it out.
- 31:32Speaker 1: You did, you did good.
- 31:33Speaker 4: You committed to it. I saw you like you started scraping.
- 31:36Speaker 1: The worst part is is that I've sucked away so
- 31:38Speaker 1: much that then it doesn't stick together. This was from Mary.
- 31:42Speaker 2: This is for Paul, Nick, Kevin and Joe. What musical
- 31:45Speaker 2: do you think is genuinely perfecta Isy?
- 31:48Speaker 4: I'm with you, man, dude, lame is is so fully there.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:53Speaker 2: I just saw a production recently up in Vancouver, the
- 31:57Speaker 2: touring production. And I've seen the show and performed it,
- 32:02Speaker 2: you know, probably four hundred times, five hundred times. It
- 32:06Speaker 2: never gets old.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's one of my all time faves, I gotta say.
- 32:09Speaker 1: And I know it's you know, Hamilton is It's great.
- 32:14Speaker 1: It's great. Hamilton is really.
- 32:16Speaker 4: I just saw Titanic.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Oh what do you think?
- 32:19Speaker 1: It so fun? Yeah, it's you seen it? Yeah, I
- 32:22Speaker 1: haven't seen it. I remember it was bab Broadway and
- 32:24Speaker 1: I wanted to.
- 32:24Speaker 4: It's so incredibly fun and so like everyone in the
- 32:28Speaker 4: cast is incredible and it's it's definitely a great time.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I got to see that. You gotta go all right.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Our our movie is not a musical per se, but
- 32:37Speaker 2: there is music in the movie. I had incredible time
- 32:40Speaker 2: working with you on this project. I am so thrilled
- 32:42Speaker 2: that it's it's finally coming out and it's great.
- 32:45Speaker 4: I got to see it.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I will say I saw it.
- 32:48Speaker 4: I got a link. I shared the link to a
- 32:50Speaker 4: lot of the people that I know on the internet.
- 32:52Speaker 4: They love it too good and yeah, my feet is
- 32:56Speaker 4: they're liking it.
- 32:57Speaker 1: But it was phenomenal. I think it's great.
- 32:59Speaker 3: And it's also some thing that like, oddly, we watched
- 33:01Speaker 3: it and this happened to our friend, a songwriter, so
- 33:04Speaker 3: it was like, oh yeah, imitating.
- 33:07Speaker 1: It happens quite a bit.
- 33:08Speaker 3: I know that's get any spoilers away, but it's definitely
- 33:11Speaker 3: something that I think, you know a lot of people
- 33:14Speaker 3: out there that our creatives will relate to and also
- 33:17Speaker 3: feel like, wait, did this already happen to me? Is
- 33:20Speaker 3: this what this happened to me? And a lot of
- 33:23Speaker 3: a lot of new songwriters that we meet an artists
- 33:25Speaker 3: are always like, what are some what's some advice? And
- 33:27Speaker 3: I think since this film, Nick Kevin and I have
- 33:30Speaker 3: both been like, mm, get a good lawyer.
- 33:36Speaker 4: But it's it's really great. You guys should be so proud.
- 33:38Speaker 4: It's really excited for people to see it.
- 33:40Speaker 1: I'm coming to the premiere time, so thank you.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Oh great, my link was broken and it's not like
- 33:44Speaker 4: a real like I wouldn't want to watch and I
- 33:45Speaker 4: sat down to watch it and it was totally.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Not working right, the link was broken.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Well you know you'll see it tonight in the theater,
- 33:53Speaker 1: and as it was intended, Yeah, yeah, and you really do.
- 33:56Speaker 1: This is one I got to say. I think when
- 33:58Speaker 1: you do see it in a theater, they always say, oh,
- 34:00Speaker 1: you know, you want to say, go see in the theater.
- 34:03Speaker 1: But I think the musical element of it and there's
- 34:07Speaker 1: a real kind of crowd pleasing thing that's happening that
- 34:11Speaker 1: you do experience it differently, and so I hope you
- 34:15Speaker 1: like it. It was very fun to do and it
- 34:16Speaker 1: was great getting to do it with you, Nick, and
- 34:20Speaker 1: you're so nice to me, and uh, you.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Know this is not my.
- 34:25Speaker 1: This is this is not my day job what I'm
- 34:27Speaker 1: doing in this thing, and you may may feel super
- 34:29Speaker 1: comfortable and uh and so I appreciate it. Just to
- 34:34Speaker 1: give you some flowers to remember.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I watched the movie with the Summer Summer last year
- 34:39Speaker 2: with Joe and some other friends and family and everyone
- 34:43Speaker 2: can watch match was it. Paul singing is incredible and
- 34:46Speaker 2: we we all know you as as Paul Rut. You
- 34:49Speaker 2: know the Paul Rud as I've said a million times
- 34:51Speaker 2: last couple of days.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Inspired Samuel Sweet shops own yea off spread.

- 35:10Speaker 2: theater because it is a heartwarming, classic John Carney film
- 35:14Speaker 2: that I think is best watched on the big screen.
