- 0:00Do you ever feel like as a mom that you are inadequate because of social
- 0:03media? And you're on there and you looking at your Instagram and your Facebook,
- 0:06You're seeing all these other moms doing these perfect little mom activities with their
- 0:09kids, and you just think, I'm not doing enough. I'm not being
- 0:12that that good Instagram mom. It doesn't feel like it's the Instagram mom.
- 0:16But there's a lot of times I just feel like I'm feeling at a mom
- 0:18like I am not with them enough. I don't know why. Like the
- 0:22mornings, I always struggle sometimes I'm like, gosh, should I be there
- 0:25in the morning when they wake up? I'm like, oh, I good
- 0:28to say goodbye to them night or a good night to them. Oh my
- 0:30god, So you'd be with them just a bit in the morning and you
- 0:33drop. I know it's weird because and you get this way, and I
- 0:37think you can relate it to any part of your life you're just not feeling
- 0:40like you're doing enough, or social media in general definitely can make you feel
- 0:45that way. But I will say, Amanda, from my perspective, you're
- 0:49probably the mom that's making other moms feel inadequate because you know you're always like
- 0:52doing these cute little things you fall festival over the weekend dance class. I
- 0:57just that I love doing all of that stuff with my kids. And I
- 1:00think a lot of that too is because we had kids a little older in
- 1:03life. So for us, it's all about our kids right now. We
- 1:07have so much fun we enjoy doing in activities with them. And to be
- 1:11completely honest with you, I mean it's not perfect. You know that as
- 1:12well, because it's well you're absolutely insane, yes, but it's like whatever.
- 1:19It It's also at that age where you have to find activities to do
- 1:23and do things otherwise I'm going to lose my mind. Oh yeah, there,
- 1:26Well there's so many kid activities and I don't have kids, but I
- 1:29can imagine you appreciate that as a parent, because like, how long can
- 1:32you just sit at the house, you know, you can't stump in Yeah,
- 1:34those four walls they're inclosing real quick with a three and four year old,
- 1:38and it's got to be fun too. While it can be stress while
- 1:40I'm sure to get him out of the house, you know, the car
- 1:42seats, the snacks on the road, but once you get there, it's
- 1:45like fun to see your kid doing cool stuff right, Oh, for sure,
- 1:48enjoying and it usually it doesn't end up that way. I mean there's
- 1:51usually a temper tantrum that has been had, and maybe three or four of
- 1:55them, and that's just that's just the way it goes. Yeah, sometimes
- 1:57you strike out right like yeah, I remember when like I was a kid,
- 2:00I remember going to see Santa Claus. Do you think as a parent,
- 2:01that's like it bringing your kid to meet Santa Claus? And I would
- 2:06just saw it, would just scream the whole time. Briggsy was that way
- 2:08and even we were at a red Hawks game recently and he was excited because
- 2:12he's like, there's hot guy. And then the closer howk eye got it
- 2:15was like oh yeah, like but it was actually you brought up the Fall
- 2:22Festival. So this year was the first year that both of the kids were
- 2:24there because last year Sydney Luanne wouldn't put pants on, so we had to
- 2:30leave her at home. She just was refusing to wear pets. You can't
- 2:32just go without pants. No, they have these rules the days you got
- 2:38to follow. I get it. I vibe with your kids, especially the
- 2:40mascot thing I had because there's like you know, there's research. There's actually
- 2:45years why people were afraid of mascots because they were like, look, I
- 2:46forget what it's called, but they looked close enough to humans, but they're
- 2:50not. It's terrified. Like for example, when I was a kid,
- 2:53there was my dad would bring me. I remember constantly going to like the
- 2:55boat show in the RV shows, all these shows in the ABC seamless duck
- 3:02do you have you seen this mascot? So ABC Seamless has a duck mascot,
- 3:07and they would have this hideous thing walking around the convention Center or the
- 3:12Civic Center wherever we were, and I would just scream and I remember running
- 3:15out of the building. My dad had to chase me down. Oh my
- 3:17gosh, that's hilarious. I'm like old enough to remember it. So I
- 3:21was probably I was probably like seven eight years old. See, the only
- 3:23one that ever really really got me and I've never seen it in real life,
- 3:28and they still Kurt. That's why I was running, so he wouldn't
- 3:30get me. The Burger King commercials, like that Burger King dude, that's
- 3:34the one that would get what the king. Yes he's harmless, he's in
- 3:37a commercial. Once you go face to face like chucky cheese for example.
- 3:42That was the other thing. I couldn't even go to birthday parties. I
- 3:44would hide under the table that when that rat, when that giant rat came
- 3:47out from the back, I got to mention this bandmates, the whole team
- 3:53was just horrific. I could not be there. Oh my gosh, that's
- 3:58so good. I don't even think about it because all my other friends are
- 4:00hugging him and take. Yeah, that's just it, that's sin. She's
- 4:03like, oh, come over here, like im posing, and Briggs is
- 4:05like no, no, like in a minute in the morning, Big nutty
- 4:10eight point seven. What do you think the perfect first date is? Because
- 4:14you know, traditionally you might think, oh, it's a dinner. Oh,
- 4:16maybe it's going on for drinks. Maybe it's going to coffee. It's
- 4:18none of It's a walk. It's a walk. Really yeah. A relationship
- 4:27expert, his name is Paul Brunson. If you didn't believe me, he
- 4:30said that the perfect first date is a walk because walking with someone as a
- 4:35form of what they call parallel play. What can you think of any other
- 4:42examples you can see how someone enjoys a walk without making physical contact because you
- 4:49know, dinner dates are sin. They're two people look directly at one another
- 4:54you're eating, which is always awkward. See that the forced conversation, you
- 4:59know, it could subconsciously signal a confrontation. It's very very nervous, really,
- 5:03but I can see that. With a walk you can choose to kind
- 5:06of look over. But you're also they have objects to like create distraction.
- 5:14As likes, there's no pressure to talking, like you said, and like
- 5:16Seinfeld said, if you're a fan like I am, the walking date is
- 5:19perfect because you don't have to look at the other person. It's the next
- 5:21best thing to being alone. It seems like a great way to go on
- 5:26a first date when you don't even want to spend time with them or look
- 5:28at the person. I'm all about that though. Yeah. Do you ever
- 5:31go on walks? Yeah? Well, and I mean now that you're good
- 5:34and married? Oh yeah, we bike. We walked to the park a
- 5:38few times a day. Yeah, with the kids. Oh the kids they
- 5:41love that little park, they sure to. But we we always go for
- 5:44a walking Wait, what do you remember your first date? Even go on
- 5:46a walking date? I imagine? Oh we did us rest in peace?
- 5:49Remember the boulevard, the boulevard ow and Veterans. Yeah, it's now So
- 5:56that was where we Nick came over, picked me up. We went over
- 6:00the boulevard, had an appetizer, went back, and then at that point
- 6:01I was living kind of over there by the roundup, and then we,
- 6:05uh, there was anybody else wants some free advertising? Stop? I'm just
- 6:10you asked my first. I'm horsing around. No, that's great. It's
- 6:12a great area. A lot of good stuff there. Yeah, and so
- 6:14then we there was live music there, so we went over there and yeah,
- 6:16and then yea. Then we went back and had a nice glass of
- 6:20wine on my patio and that was it. Then then we got married a
- 6:26year later on that date because we hit it off. That was it.
- 6:30That was yeah, it was crazy, all right. So we did not
- 6:33go on a horse carriage drive. How about you guys? Our first date?
- 6:38Yeah, well, we well we met, you know, we had
- 6:40hung out just getting groups or whatever would have you. But our first formal
- 6:44date, I remember, I'll never forget. We went to at Doolittles.
- 6:46So we always have a soft spot there on Doolittles. Okay, we're sitting
- 6:48there and it was the weirdest thing. But some guy came up to us
- 6:51as my wife Lauren and I were sitting there across from each other. I
- 6:54still remember the exact booth comes up and he claims it was a weird thing.
- 6:58He claimed to be like a relationship body language expert. Shut up,
- 7:02you're making this. It was so bizarre, I swear to god, I
- 7:05to this day, I'm not sure if somebody was just messing with us like
- 7:08it was somebody who knew me, or was put up to it. But
- 7:12he sat there and told us that he's a body language expert and he could
- 7:15just tell that we were one on a first date, but two that we
- 7:18had great chemistry. No kidding, I know, it's the weirdest thing that
- 7:24is. And then look at you. Yeah, and I you know,
- 7:26I had got the like the barbecue wing platter or whatever, didn't sauce all
- 7:30over my face. Good thing. They give me that big wet rag because
- 7:33you had to towel this boy down. Did you guys go for a walk
- 7:36ever? You guys walker? Oh yeah, we went to I still have
- 7:40adorable little photo session we had taken on my phone from an island park.
- 7:43You know, I'm a big Island Park guy. So we had gone on
- 7:45a walk there. Sure, what do you mean a photo session? You
- 7:47like you were taking selface walking or we were walking, and then we were
- 7:50I think we're sitting at this point, and we thought, hey, let's
- 7:53take a photo together. Oh got it. That's very adorable. I thought
- 7:56you meant like you hired somebody like as you guys were going for a walk.
- 8:01Yeah, peeking out from the I knew. I knew we'd be together
- 8:05forever at that moment. The capture in the morning, right, it's an
- 8:11engagement season, you know what with the beautiful fall colors on the foliage.
- 8:16People love getting engaged. Oh my gosh. And this song, nice little
- 8:20throwback. It is a heck of a diddy talk about making a song just
- 8:22perfect for weddings. Anyway, Here's three things that you should probably do differently
- 8:28after getting engaged, based on you know, experience. Right, we've both
- 8:31been engaged, and these are things that you just want to be aware of,
- 8:33like as soon as you get engaged. Number one, take time to
- 8:37bask in the moment immediately after the proposal, right, because if you're like
- 8:41me or my wife, the moment you get engaged you're on top of the
- 8:46world. You're super excited. But then what do you do. You go
- 8:48right to your phone and you're calling your parents, you're calling your besties.
- 8:52Exactly what we did. Yeah, right, it was just like to the
- 8:54point of the next day you kind of go, oh, my gosh,
- 8:58we're engaged. It was just even though it wasn't a huge surprise, it
- 9:01was something we had done. But it's just it's an exciting moment. But
- 9:03actually taking that time, and I think social media has wrecked that for a
- 9:07lot of people too. Well. Yeah, but the phone call thing,
- 9:09it's like you're probably memory of the day you engaged. It's like just you
- 9:13get engaged and then you're both on your phone. You're barely talking to each
- 9:16other. You don't even remember like they're talking to your now fiance because you're
- 9:18just on the phone for so long. So take a moment, bask in
- 9:22the moment. Yeah, enjoy it. And it is so joyous, like
- 9:24because imagine what that would have been like, the things you could just talk
- 9:28about and be a part. Oh, it's one of the most exciting thing.
- 9:31It really is, like you immediately start planning, and of course it
- 9:33is exciting to be able to tell all your friends and everything. That's all
- 9:35you want to do, and it feels good, but it can wait.
- 9:37It's gonna feel good tomorrow too, right, so chill. Number two.
- 9:41No one is invited until you agree on who is invited. A lot of
- 9:45people right away when again start calling people. Everybody you talk to it,
- 9:48hey, our wedding, just save the date in person. And then all
- 9:52of a sudden you realize once you get you know, the wedding, they
- 9:56invite and you got the venue and everything, it's like, oh, wait
- 9:56a minute, you know, maybe maybe we aren't to invite Todd. Yeah,
- 10:01kind of hold the hold off a little bit. Also, I think
- 10:03standing your ground as to what kind of wedding you both want. It is
- 10:07so easy for everybody to be chirping, whether it's your mother in law,
- 10:11your mom, dad, everybody has a voice of what they think your wedding
- 10:16should be like. And I think that is really hard. And then they
- 10:20want to invite their friends because you know, Grandma Sue watched you, you
- 10:26know, for however long, and she should be invited because of and then
- 10:30her kids that you grew up with them. I mean, the list goes
- 10:33on and there's not because like if they're paying for a good chunk of it,
- 10:35it's like, well, do I have the right to be like,
- 10:39no, you can't invite your friend Denise. Yeah, I know, and
- 10:43they'll go, oh, you know, do you remember, Denise? I
- 10:45mean, I don't know if I do remember, I really put my finger
- 10:48on the knees. Denise and Jim they invited us to their daughter's wedding twenty
- 10:54years ago. Number three things they remember, you know, right when you
- 10:58get engaged. Aged is discuss your date with VIGs. You know what a
- 11:03vig is, Amanda. I know what a vip is, but I don't
- 11:07know about that. And g very important guests got it. Before setting the
- 11:11date in Stone, you want to check with obviously immediate family. That's exactly
- 11:16what we did. It was his sisters, our parents, let's pick a
- 11:20date, and once we decided that date, then it was hopefully you can
- 11:24come. If not, no big deal. I mean, and that's what
- 11:28you want. And I think as a little girl you dream of or and
- 11:31probably guys you want everybody to be there. And maybe it was because it
- 11:35was both of our second weddings when nikind Of got got married, but it
- 11:37didn't mean that the people that didn't show up didn't love us. You look
- 11:41back at our wedding and some of those people are like, well they were
- 11:43in that moment and they're so close with us, But were we made so
- 11:48many other friends. Yeah, for context, like I was not at your
- 11:50wedding and it was it was because I didn't love you. I'm just teasing
- 11:54us. I'm just horsing around. Was that one didn't land? Holy,
- 11:58that one totally did land. I know you lot last time my horse around.
- 12:01No, it looks like a lovely wedding, but you're never gonna find
- 12:03a date. And this goes with anything that's just weddings, like if you're
- 12:05having an event or something like, there's never gonna be a date that pleases
- 12:09everybody. There's just too much going on. And also it's just something to
- 12:13think about. Guys. It does cost a lot. So the more it
- 12:16knows that people are setting, you're still probably gonna get a gift. I
- 12:20mean, when you get to know, it's like a yes, you're not
- 12:24offending me. You know, there's only a few people that you're like,
- 12:26oh, okay, that's a bummer, you're not coming. But it's about
- 12:30the two of you. Absolutely, it's easy for good. Doesn't the song
- 12:33make you just want to get engaged again? Do it all over? Yeah?
- 12:37No, I'm going to tell me to the same guy Amanda in the
- 12:41morning on Big You're ready Ready, that's he is typing hot today. No,
- 12:50Amanda steals that sea. Let's see brought to you by Valley Service Mechanical.
- 12:56And if you're like me, I mean I was on the edge of
- 12:58my seat. What were we gonna do wheel Watchers without Vanah White? There
- 13:01was a lot of speculation and it took a long time for her to solidify
- 13:05this deal. She must have got her pay day because she's back for two
- 13:07more years. She's gonna be alongside Ryan Seacrest, and he is excited about
- 13:11it. He said earlier this week. I love Vanah White. I've known
- 13:16her for a long time. We sat in important places next to each other.
- 13:20I would love to know jeez, thank you. Okay, God bless
- 13:24you, thank you. It's just is it the smoke? I just I
- 13:26don't know. I'm struggling to bad allergy, so well, I'm allergic to
- 13:30van a White discussion. So how she's been paid a lot? He said,
- 13:33Yeah, but Also, Ryan Seacrest made a statement saying he loves Vana.
- 13:37I've known her for a long time. But we sat in important places
- 13:39next to each other. What's the most important place you think they sat?
- 13:43Were they at the White House? I mean, I don't know. Anyway,
- 13:46She's he is excited to be walking alongside her every weeknight, and me,
- 13:52that's cool. I'm glad the show continues because it's a fun one to
- 13:56throw in. I'm not a big I don't identify as a wheel watcher like
- 14:00Amanda, but I'm not a part of the club that plays oh as the
- 14:03show's going on. But we love some wheel in our house. Absolutely.
- 14:07I like wheels. Got four of them on my car, and you are
- 14:13on one today. I can't even laugh anymore. It's just it's just too
- 14:16much for me. Whether or we're done. Kardashian, this is a train
- 14:22ride, Kim Kardashian, I have not can you, by the way,
- 14:24believe we were nominated for the Best Local Radio Show by the Fargo for him?
- 14:30I know it's shocking. They obviously didn't hear it. This segment shameless
- 14:33plug. If you want to vote for us, we've got the link on
- 14:37our Facebook page. Appreciate you putting up with us, But it's been a
- 14:39long time since we talked about Kim Kardashian in her love life. I kind
- 14:43of scoffed at the Tom Brady deal. That just didn't feel real at all.
- 14:46I think she wanted it desperately maybe, but it looks like Odell Beckham
- 14:50Junior. He was in a long term relationship with Lauren Wood and I don't
- 14:54know with their separate ways, and either Kim swooped in before or after TV,
- 15:00but I'm thinking maybe a little overlap went on here. They seem like
- 15:03a great match, and she's right up his alley. He loves being famous
- 15:05and there's no more famous person I met. Chris Jenner. Mama Kardashian probably
- 15:11already signed signed him on to her a little agency that she has. I
- 15:15wonder if they've heard the rumor of Odell Beckham Junior. This was maybe a
- 15:20year or two ago. Yeah, yeah, I had it until you brought
- 15:22it to my attention this morning. And the oo factor is so high it
- 15:26is one of the growth rumors now. Again, not judging anybody whatever you're
- 15:30in too, as long as not harming somebody else. But apparently he enjoys
- 15:33being the toilet if you will, No, it's gross. Kristin Cavalary remember
- 15:39her from Laguna Beach The Hills. Of course she was married to Jay Cutler
- 15:43will have Now. After all of that and that track record, she got
- 15:46herself a podcast. She brought Travis keltyon and started started talking to him about
- 15:52relationships and things, and then she dove right into how she had a crush
- 15:58on him. In fact, at one point in the podcast she said,
- 16:00I was in love with you. I fell in love with you watching Catching
- 16:03Kelsey, the reality show that was on back in twenty sixteen. He gets
- 16:07really uncomfortable. He's like, I'm flattered by your comments. Then he burst
- 16:11her bubbles, saying, just so you know, pretty much everything on that
- 16:14show was not real and she should know that because her life came that's how
- 16:18she became famous. Oh she knows it wasn't real, but he was real
- 16:21and that's what she enjoyed about it. So so basically she is putting her
- 16:25name out there like, hey, traf, want a date without doing it
- 16:29kind of in a very koy way. And that's Taylor's man. Well,
- 16:33that's what's happening. Taylor Swift fans are unleashing and saying the Kelsey Cavaliery romance
- 16:37can't happen. They're still for the trailer. Well, Taylor's gotta, you
- 16:41know, claim her territory, like Odell Beckhamwood. Okay, like in Amna
- 16:51in the morning on Big Nutty eight point seven, Big Nutty a point seven.
- 16:55Good morning, Mike and Amandy in the morning. It gonna be nice
- 16:56today. A little smoky, but otherwise sunshine in a high of eighty three.
- 17:00Work work, work, work. Everybody wants to, you know,
- 17:04feel like they're respected at work, no matter what your job is, whether
- 17:07you're at the intern, intern Gracie, or you're the CEO. These are
- 17:11the phrases that you should avoid to sound the most experienced at work. Oh
- 17:17boy, all right, all right. So if you're walking around saying things
- 17:18like hi, I'm first name, that's no good. That's no good.
- 17:22Okay, this is finally like a your happy hour. But introducing yourself by
- 17:26only your first name doesn't let the person you're speaking with no anything else about
- 17:29you and why you belong. So if you're at work, introduce yourself with
- 17:33your first and your last name and why you're involved in the meeting or on
- 17:37a project. So if you're like jumping on a zoom call with some people
- 17:40from out of market, yeah, you know to say, Hi, I'm
- 17:41Todd Todd I know a million times now I'm Todd Johnson district manager for yeah,
- 17:48thank you. Or Gracie in your case, Hi, I'm Gracie whatever.
- 17:52Your last name is Grace yea, So Jackson are got you and I'm
- 18:00a lead intern. I'm the Pike and Amanda in the morning show. Yeah,
- 18:06you're the head intern. Yeah, yeah, we are favorite intern.
- 18:08There's nothing wrong. We're just fluffing up your title just for the sake of
- 18:11it. See. I also see through that sometimes when people do come in
- 18:15a little hot you're like, okay, Joe Schmo. Yeah, Like you
- 18:18throw like the words senior in front of what are your whatever? Your title
- 18:21is executive senior executive intern. All right, how about this one? I
- 18:26am the blank and then this is literally what we were just talking about,
- 18:30but the junior level job title. So in your case, Gracy, you
- 18:33want to leave the intern off of it. Instead of introducing yourself as let's
- 18:36say, the editorial assistant, go with something like I'm a member of the
- 18:40editorial team, you figure out which part of it I clean do a lot
- 18:45of vague booking here. Okay, got it, I cleaned the desks.
- 18:49And then also the other phrase to avoid if you want to sound not inexperience
- 18:52to work, is I have to ask my boss. No, you don't,
- 18:56Janet. You don't have to ask anybody. Your Janet, member of
- 18:59the editorial team make the executive decisions. Okay. Yeah, So you have
- 19:03any phrases because people use the same phrases at work in it, they do
- 19:07get annoying. Do you have any phrases you don't like people over using your
- 19:10work trying to think I just try to avoid everybody at work with no I'm
- 19:14talking. That would be great. Unfortunately, you're being sarcastic. I'm just
- 19:19kidding. You were the one throwing shots to me the other day for sending
- 19:22all these emails. I like to tease you about the emails. I mean,
- 19:25they just send a lot of like invites. You know, you've got
- 19:27calendar invite because I'm the one who keeps this ship going, like four works.
- 19:30If it was up to us, we would just keep it in our
- 19:33heads, you know, like, oh, meeting next Wednesday at three thirty
- 19:37and then on it. Then five minutes into it, Hey, Pike,
- 19:41are you come into that meeting? Come in. I'm on the sixth hole,
- 19:45like in a minute in the morning one. But hey, Mandy,
- 19:51you had yourself a little predicament last night. I did. So. On
- 19:53Tuesdays, my daughter has dance out in Horse. She goes to just for
- 19:57kicks and tell me about it because he's four. Is four? Yeah,
- 20:00what kind of dancing are we doing? So it's kind of like a I
- 20:03don't know. I mean, my sister dance growing up, but at four,
- 20:07like I know, I get it's just learned how to do, you
- 20:11know, but she learned how to do like the turns. And honestly it's
- 20:14just like following along and memorizing a dance. I mean they do that or
- 20:18is it just sort of chaos? No, I think it's it's getting better.
- 20:21She's been in it now for about a year. But I know when
- 20:22the next recital is, Oh gosh, there's gonna be a Halloween show,
- 20:26Pike, It'll be, It'll be, It'll be great. Okay, So
- 20:30you're at dance, So I am getting ready to bring my daughter to dance
- 20:33and my son through a temper tantrum, and I was like, oh man,
- 20:37So he decided to stay back because he wanted to come with me.
- 20:40The goodness, he didn't come with me because after I dropped my daughter off
- 20:42a dance, I decided I need to go get gas real quick. It's
- 20:45a half hour, so I have some time to spare. Go in,
- 20:48get gas, get a couple of little snacks, and keep in mind a
- 20:53little backstory. It got the new peanut butter balls, the skippy peanut butterballs.
- 20:59They're so good, nice and uh. For the past three weeks,
- 21:03I've been telling my husband about the fact we probably need an oil change.
- 21:07Like my light says need an oil change? You, like my wife just
- 21:11yesterday, I can't function when that oil light is on. Yeah, yesterday
- 21:14we happened to cross pass quick at home and he's like, I gotta go
- 21:17get my oil change. I'm like, yeah, I'm gonna need my oil
- 21:19change. But he usually sometimes does it at the lake, so I was
- 21:22explaining my car kind of smells funny. Doesn't change his oil himself. My
- 21:27stepdad does. He assists he buys the filter nice. So I have been
- 21:36telling him about all of this for a few weeks. So I get out
- 21:40of Casey is over there in horace and try to start my car. Sure
- 21:47won't start, just like this is it trying to fire them kind of and
- 21:51I'm like, Okay, this was really weird. But then it like started
- 21:53kind of, but then it didn't. Then it started shaking, and I'm
- 21:56thinking, okay, Pike, spot up. I'm basically Mcca, you really
- 22:02are It was like that. So I have ten minutes to pick up Sid
- 22:06from dance. Nick's mowing the lawn. I can't get a hold of anything
- 22:08anybody. I don't know what I have to do, but I have to
- 22:11get back to Dance to get Sid. Otherwise she's going to be sitting there
- 22:12freaking out and there's nobody to really watch her. So I leave my car
- 22:18at the gas tank, walk across town to go. There's all this construction.
- 22:22I just like a complete idiot, go pick up Sid. Finally Nick
- 22:26gets there, so we're waiting, so Nick of course comes, rescues us,
- 22:30brings us back to the gas station. I'm complaining. I'm snapchatting my
- 22:34friends about how ridiculous my husband is and how because he didn't answer no,
- 22:40just because I asked him to get my car fixed. While sure, this
- 22:42guy hops in the driver's seat, HiT's the button, what's wrong with your
- 22:48car? Everythings ride up? Of course I would just look like a tool,
- 22:56like the whole the car had an issue. And he does not believe
- 22:59me. I don't believe you either. And first of all, it's not
- 23:02the oil. And again I'm pretending to be a mechanic here. I really
- 23:03don't know anything about cars, but I know that you know how long that
- 23:07light would have to be on, how far past an oil change? Because
- 23:10I trust me, I have tested the limits. But it is going to
- 23:11burn up your injector pumps and stuff. I think, Oh, now you're
- 23:17the mechanic. Get Amanda in the morning, big nutty eight point seven.
- 23:25Now here's what you need to know. The countdown is on. Governor Bergham
- 23:30has to hit three percent support support in the national pool by Monday in order
- 23:33to be a part of the second debate, which is already going to be
- 23:36on Wednesday in California. But whether or not he takes the stage, it
- 23:41ain't over. He is on the campaign trail and yesterday he said we're gonna
- 23:45be on the ballot in Iowa and New Hampshire, whether we're a part of
- 23:48this debate or no not. He thinks voters, not party rules, should
- 23:51determine which candidates move ahead. He says, I think it's a goofy clubhouse
- 23:56rule, so we're just gonna keep charging forward. Yeah, I love it.
- 23:59He's just refused seeing no it's an answer. It's kind of like,
- 24:02I know you're a big sign. Felp girl, Amanda. It's like when
- 24:03George got fired on a Friday and he decided he was just gonna show up
- 24:07on Monday anyway and pretend like nothing happened. It's kind of like burgham gon
- 24:11show him the debate. That's hilarious. Three percent? What are you guys
- 24:15talking about? That would be funny. It's like picking in the deal,
- 24:18like outside of there. It's just like Danny Masterson's wife, by you.
- 24:22Phillips was standing by his side all the way, really until the end,
- 24:26because it was a couple of weeks ago we found out that he was senced
- 24:29to thirty years to life in prison for raping two women. And it was
- 24:32a surprise yesterday when we found out that she filed for divorce because she said
- 24:36she was going to stand by him. Even through the appeal process. His
- 24:40lawyer or her lawyer, or rather said missus Phillips has decided to divorce him.
- 24:44It's unfortunate everything that's going on. What is her name again? By
- 24:47you Phillips, by you? Yeah, it sounds like she said, by
- 24:51you. Have you been waiting all morning for that? No? I just
- 25:00it's good. That was just real good. By the way, they live
- 25:02a nine year old, so I nine. That's sad. That's sad.
- 25:08Listen, that's sad. But I mean, imagine being married to a guy
- 25:11in prison. You got about out at some point. I think it'd be
- 25:15kind of nice to be married to somebody in prison. You think about it.
- 25:18You know, the hows to be a lot cleaner. I don't have
- 25:22to worry about them annoying you. My gosh, you're out of control.
- 25:26I wouldn't go that far. You don't see the positives in a situation like
- 25:30that. Absolutely not. No, No, I like to spend quality time
- 25:36with my significant you do. You just you got a window there, But
- 25:38otherwise you can spend some thirty year window. Oh my gosh, No,
- 25:44like the glass window with like the telephone, no literal with the literal window.
- 25:48Yeah, the literal window that you got between you. Yeah, I
- 25:51mean, so you can't touch each other. Let's, of course you get
- 25:53the conjugal so yeah, nope, I'm gonna I'm gonna go pass on that
- 25:56one. Can we do the next story? Let's do it at this I
- 26:00am all about but maybe they're doing it a little too soon. Hallmark did
- 26:04release their full lineup of movies, which, by the way, ladies and
- 26:07maybe some guys who are watching U all of them. There's a couple of
- 26:11sequels in here from last year which will be good. They start on October
- 26:15twenty. Yes, I forget what it's called. I found myself watching one
- 26:18of these movies and the guy is a ghost. So the woman is like
- 26:22in this house and the guy who obviously had died several years before, he's
- 26:27a ghost, and they fall in love, and honestly, I loved it.
- 26:30It was a good film. Are you sure you're not thinking to Casper?
- 26:33No? Who is in that one again? Michael Keaton? Casper was
- 26:41Adam's family. Christina Ritchie, I know she was at one point. Oh,
- 26:44I know, Casper, the friendly ghost. See, I will tell
- 26:47you because everybody, my husband of course, makes fun of me, there
- 26:49are some I do not want. I'll record and like get into all forty
- 26:53of them, but every once in a while you gotta dip out. I
- 26:56mean, they're so cheesy. For instance, if there's a ghost involved here,
- 26:59I'm probably not gonna watch that one. Love a little fantasy fiction,
- 27:03I do. I mean, obviously I do, because I enjoyed this film.
- 27:07I'm just saying, I'm like, I'm not gonna bump home alone too,
- 27:10or The Grange or have you not Christmas New Grinch, The Grinch with
- 27:17Jim Carrey's The New Grange that's like thirty years old at this point. Oh,
- 27:21well, that it's new to me. There's been like several newnes sets.
- 27:26One definitely you're talking about Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Oul Christmas? Look
- 27:33up the year on that intograc because it's not new. My kids got into
- 27:37that last year. That one will scare the But Jesus right out here,
- 27:41what are you talking? My kids won't even sit and sit and watch it
- 27:42by themselves, but they still like it. Are you ready? Yes,
- 27:47your new film came out in two thousand, the turn of the century.
- 27:52Remember me saying new to me? They made a new one recently, like
- 27:56cartoon one or whatever. Right, it was like last year or something.
- 28:00I've seen that one too. That one's cute, But I thought the Jim
- 28:03Carrey one was the newest version. That's one of the all time classic movies.
- 28:07He does such a good job. And what's rain Taylor momson is Cindy
- 28:10louhu Oh yep, oh, heck of a movie. All right? Weatherwise
- 28:12today, little smokey, we don't even have to think about winter. Weather
- 28:15today is going to be gorgeous, Sonny, and I have eighty three in
- 28:18the morning. Seven is that time? Man, I'm so excited. You
- 28:22know, we always get somebody on the phone here who is brave enough to
- 28:25try to get themselves out of the friend zone right here live on the radio.
- 28:27So up this week my man. His name is Connor and he is
- 28:33on the phone right now. Good morning, Connor, Hey, good morning
- 28:37guys. Well, good morning. Hopefully we can get you out of the
- 28:38friend zone. That would be nice. This is dare I say a bit
- 28:42of a tangled web leaving here, but Connor, just let's start from the
- 28:48beginning and tell us kind of what's going on with Megan. Yeah, So
- 28:51basically my friend and I we went out downtown a few months ago and we
- 28:55met a couple of girls, and one of which was Megan. So I
- 28:59thought, you know, I hit it off with her and she was cool,
- 29:02and I want to go out with her. But the next day I
- 29:03found out that my friend already had a date set up with her. So
- 29:08I guess they hit it off too, And he didn't mention it me,
- 29:11but they just coordinated a date. In the moment, Yes, I was
- 29:14a little bit disappointed. That is a b but I backed off. I
- 29:18mean I just kind of played cool with it. I mean, I didn't
- 29:19know her very well. I just thought, you know, she's cool and
- 29:22we hit it off and stuff. But I obviously let them go on their
- 29:26date. Their date went well, they dated for a few months. But
- 29:29here's the thing. They now broke up and they're both single. So I
- 29:33know, it's like you don't really go for your friends X, but I
- 29:37kind of want to ask her out. Well, I actually do want to
- 29:41ask her out, but it's just a little complicated, you know. I
- 29:45will say, Connor, first of all, initially you did honor bro code,
- 29:48which is cool, like obviously your buddy he was first, right,
- 29:51so you just respected that, which is great, but now you're feeling like
- 29:53it's your turn because you did actually, you know, on the same night
- 29:56literally kind of start digging this. So that's where we come in. So
- 30:02why don't we get her on the phone. We'll talk to Megan feel out
- 30:06kind of what she thinks of the situation, because again, it is very
- 30:07complicated. So you hang tied in the background. Okay, Connor, we'll
- 30:11see what we can find out. Very cool, all right, hang on,
- 30:18Hey is this Megan? Ya? Who is this strange man? She's
- 30:22wondering what my name is? Pike. I'm a strange man from Big ninety
- 30:26eight point seven radio station in town. Can we you know? I got
- 30:30Amanda here too? Oh hey girl, I know it's just weird. I'm
- 30:33the one who just makes it real comfortable, like this isn't gonna get weird
- 30:37at all, sort of a good cop bad cop thing. So good.
- 30:40Well, first of all, thanks for taking the call, Megan. Can
- 30:41we chat with you just for like a minute about a kind of weird situation
- 30:45you've got going on? Yeah? Sure, it's fun because you don't know
- 30:49what weird situation you have going on. You think it's just a typical you
- 30:52know, Wednesday. First of all, Megan, before we can proceed,
- 30:59we got to find something out, like are you single? Uh? Yeah,
- 31:02yeah, I am right now? Okay, Well interesting because the weird
- 31:06thing that we're kind of describing is the fact that we talked to somebody who
- 31:08admitted that they have a crush on you. Okay, anybody come to mind
- 31:14who that might be? Uh not? Really isn't a joke, It is
- 31:18not a joke. There is somebody out there that's I had a thing for
- 31:22you for a little while. Actually, wow, Okay, yeah, I
- 31:26don't. I don't really know. I can't really think of anyone. So
- 31:30have you been single a while or what's kind of your your recent past as
- 31:33far as dating goes. I mean, I did just recently get out of
- 31:40a relationship, so I just kind of, you know, haven't really thought
- 31:44of getting in a new one. I just kind of been enjoying being single.
- 31:47I guess. Yeah, God, is there anybody the guy that you
- 31:49just got of a relationship with? Is there anybody that he hangs with that
- 31:55piques your interest by chance? And like his boots? I don't, I
- 32:00don't really know. I don't really plan on dating any of his friends or
- 32:04anything, now, wouldn't it. Yeah, that would just be a little
- 32:09yeah. Range. Okay, well this is weird then, because the guy
- 32:15we're talking about who has the crush on you is actually one of your ex's
- 32:19friends. Okay, his name is Connor, remember Connor? Connor? Oh
- 32:30that's what he said. We're just the middleman here. I mean, you
- 32:31seem shocked, but you seem maybe pleasantly surprised. No, I mean I
- 32:37just, oh my gosh, I love Connor. I mean I think he's
- 32:42amazing, but like he's literally my ex's best friend. I'm just really confused
- 32:47right now. Like I did not know that was happening at all. Do
- 32:52you think it's something you can maybe get past? Do you think this act
- 32:54of yours even would care? As he moved on? Oh my gosh,
- 33:00I mean I just like it's a weird territory for me, Like I just
- 33:05don't know it's my kid. Do I just feel weird? Oh my gosh,
- 33:08Connor. How about Okay, Megan, we're gonna give you a surprise
- 33:14because Connor's on the phone right now. Okay, Connor's been listening this whole
- 33:16time. Sorry to you know, take good morning to Connor. Yeah,
- 33:24hey, Megan, Well I just thought that we really hit it off from
- 33:29the beginning, and I wanted to, you know, ask you how the
- 33:30first one we met. But you know, I guess you guys kind of
- 33:35whooped up a little too quickly before I got there. But I just always
- 33:39thought we got along, So yeah, I thought it's worth a shot hit
- 33:45it off Connor. Like that's so sweet, Like I'm seriously so flattered by
- 33:51that, Like that's that's so and we we do hit it off for real,
- 33:57But like, I just don't know if I can really do that,
- 34:00Like I just feel like it would be here, like you just woke up
- 34:04and you guys are like best friends. This is uncomfortable, to say the
- 34:07least, But Megan, can we at least make Connor feel better? Like
- 34:08it's not that you wouldn't want to, it's just that, given the situation,
- 34:14it's not something you're interested in. Yeah, exactly. It's like nothing
- 34:17against you at all, Connor, Like I think you're awesome, it's just
- 34:22in another world. I mean, I'm cool, like just hanging out as
- 34:24friends. There you go, why don't you guys start with friends? And
- 34:28here's what I think I think you give it six months this x of years
- 34:31probably just kind of forgets about it, and you guys go for it.
- 34:35I bet that works out. I mean never say never, I won't.
- 34:39There we go. I like where he said that. All Right, you
- 34:44guys, we'll keep us posted. Thank you for doing this on the radio.
- 34:46I know that's super uncomfortable, probably for both of you, but it
- 34:50sounds like you're both good people. I think it's going to work out for
- 34:52you. Okay, thank you. In the morning, are we ready because
- 35:00guess who is coming to town? No man, no, not Santa Claus
- 35:05Chad Kroeger and the boys. Nickelback will be the farger doome Thursday, October
- 35:07fifth. That's two weeks from tomorrow, I think. And we have tickets
- 35:10right now for call or nine. Let's say good morning too, is it
- 35:14Andrea? Hello? Is it Andrea? You gotta hit I hit the bun.
- 35:19I've quite literally hit the bun? Is this Andrea? Yes? Yes,
- 35:23I'm sorry. Oh no, it's not your fault. The man have
- 35:25messed the phone. All right, So here's it? Hell your call nine?
- 35:31All right? So you like Nickelback, Andrea? I do? Oh?
- 35:36Probably you never know? You never know. So the game, Andrea,
- 35:40the name of the game is sixty second show Down. You ever heard
- 35:45this little game? Yeah, so you know that in sixty seconds, you
- 35:49gotta identify the five of the seven things in Turned Gracie has written down.
- 35:52There could be people, places, or things. And we've been doing themes
- 35:54lately. And what is the theme today in Turned Gracie? Fruit theme?
- 36:00But just okay theme, just think fruity hush a minute, all right?
- 36:05All right, So for nickelback tickets, it's a fruit themed round of sixty
- 36:08second show Down. So you gotta choose who do you want to give you
- 36:10the clues? Who do you think knows more about fruit? Amanda or me?
- 36:14Pike. I'm gonna go with Amanda. Okay, don't blame you.
- 36:17Obviously, Andrey wasn't listening yesterday when me and the guy nearly probably said the
- 36:22world record. I mean it was like twenty seconds. I don't know I
- 36:25heard that. Yeah, well, what was your thoughts? It seems a
- 36:28little disappointed as to why she ended up going with me. I think I
- 36:31don't think Andrea likes me. All right, Andrew, here we go.
- 36:36I got sixty seconds on the clock, all right, Here we go Andrea
- 36:40in three two one go uh the theme that we're doing. But then if
- 36:47your kids have them and they come in a little package they have like welches
- 36:53yep, perfect, little champagne and orange juice. We call this my yep.
- 37:02You get this and it is the long fruit and there's then you put
- 37:07whipped cream and cherries and ice cream on it, and it's a yellow yep.
- 37:12And then what would it be if it was a dessert banana squift?
- 37:15Yep? Perfect? And if you mix all of it up into a blender
- 37:20and you would call it a u yep, perfect and not orange, but
- 37:25it's a a fuji uh apple yep. And then up and then you drink
- 37:36it. Oh yep, perfect on the trigger. All right. But hey,
- 37:46Andrew, good news for you. You got it done, and you're
- 37:50going to see nickelback. Awesome, Thank you so much. And you have
- 37:52nothing against Pike, right, No, not at all. I love him.
- 37:57I'm so happy he's got I love you. I just wanted to make
- 38:00sure it was always well in the world Pike was feeling, because you know
- 38:02me, Andrea, I would have literally carried that with me like I was
- 38:06sitting at home, my wife would be like, What's what's bothering you?
- 38:10Andrea today at eight eleven. I don't think she likes me, all right,
- 38:14Hank tight Andrea
