Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of the Ruffling
- 0:07Speaker 1: the Feathers podcast. In today's episode, we are two weeks
- 0:12Speaker 1: into the NFL season.
- 0:13Speaker 2: And the script has been flipped.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Completely all over the place it's like an inverse battle
- 0:21Speaker 3: up is down down is up left is right my
- 0:24Speaker 3: right foot is on my left shoe and i don't
- 0:27Speaker 3: know what i'm talking about anymore but joining me to
- 0:31Speaker 3: corral me in this podcast recording are my two co-hosts
- 0:35Speaker 3: brandon and supernova gentlemen what is going on today.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Long day long monday long second monday here we are
- 0:45Speaker 4: doing football things.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Nova, you ever heard of a second Monday before?
- 0:50Speaker 5: No, never have I ever.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Well, when you look at the world of health insurance,
- 0:55Speaker 4: there's such thing as a second Monday, especially with open
- 0:57Speaker 4: enrollment coming up.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Oh boy, open enrollment. I've got a story on open
- 1:02Speaker 3: enrollment that we can discuss about. And that's that I
- 1:05Speaker 3: need to sign up for open enrollment because I don't
- 1:09Speaker 3: got insurance.
- 1:13Speaker 4: In this economy, too expensive.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Yeah I mean it was more of the fact of
- 1:19Speaker 3: I had some financial things that happened a long time
- 1:25Speaker 3: ago and in the process of the financials being messed
- 1:29Speaker 3: up either they didn't contact me I didn't contact them
- 1:35Speaker 3: maybe a little bit of both didn't contact each other
- 1:38Speaker 3: and they were just like you don't pay no insurance for.
- 1:40Speaker 5: You that was a reverb if I've heard any I know.
- 1:46Speaker 3: That was weird. I was trying to be like the
- 1:48Speaker 3: Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, and Nova, I know that's too
- 1:51Speaker 3: young for you, but Brandon knows about the Soup Nazi.
- 1:55Speaker 4: No soup for you!
- 1:57Speaker 3: Come back for me!
- 1:59Speaker 5: I see some Seinfeld clips, but you are right.
- 2:01Speaker 4: It's one of the best Seinfeld episodes.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Everybody loves the Soup Nazi.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Speaking of being too young, hey, Nova, have you watched
- 2:09Speaker 4: any Spongebob episodes in the last week? No. Oh, boy.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I mean, Nova, not Nova, Brandon. It's actually funny you
- 2:20Speaker 3: bring up SpongeBob because my brother and I, we like
- 2:22Speaker 3: sending each other clips on Instagram because, you know, everybody...
- 2:26Speaker 3: Post funny Spongebob clips And the one that I sent
- 2:29Speaker 3: my brother today Was the episode Where Spongebob breaks his
- 2:33Speaker 3: ass On the mountain but it was Patrick flying off
- 2:37Speaker 3: the sand Mountain and he's just Ah Ah.
- 2:45Speaker 6: Ah I got dead again This game stinks.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Speaking of stinking games We got a few of those
- 2:53Speaker 4: to talk about tonight Oh, yeah, we do.
- 2:56Speaker 3: I mean, there's a reason that we titled this episode.
- 3:00Speaker 3: The script has been flipped. But before we get into that, Nova,
- 3:05Speaker 3: we got to talk about the high school and collegiate atmosphere.
- 3:09Speaker 3: What is the high school and collegiate report out there
- 3:12Speaker 3: in probably the best state for high school football in California? Texas?
- 3:18Speaker 2: I never.
- 3:19Speaker 5: okay i guess i'm not allowed to speak you know
- 3:21Speaker 5: i couldn't do my intro i couldn't do my thing
- 3:23Speaker 5: now okay i see how it is i'm fairly not
- 3:28Speaker 5: allowed to speak before i do i have a little
- 3:30Speaker 5: thing to talk about you know we have in the
- 3:32Speaker 5: pokemon world the global challenge coming up i still don't
- 3:35Speaker 5: know what team i want to run because of inconsistencies
- 3:37Speaker 5: and i gotta shout out a family member of mine
- 3:39Speaker 5: who goes by slayer finale you guys are not going
- 3:40Speaker 5: to see this on the camera because we're on the
- 3:43Speaker 5: podcast recording but for talon and brandon they already see
- 3:45Speaker 5: what i have on my fingers.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Wow, look at that.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Brandon, a pixelated Larvitar.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Nice.
- 3:52Speaker 3: I mean, why doesn't he just run Joe's team? Just
- 3:55Speaker 3: run the coaching Sneasler with Tyranitar.
- 3:57Speaker 5: I'd like to, but I feel like there's a heavy
- 4:00Speaker 5: argument for me to just go Mega Dragon Knight Mega Metagross,
- 4:03Speaker 5: you know?
- 4:04Speaker 2: I mean, I'm probably running dual Megas. Mega Z, for
- 4:09Speaker 2: that matter. I found a dual Z Mega team, and as.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Of recording on unofficial battle simulators, because I haven't made
- 4:19Speaker 3: the team on Champions yet, I am sitting at 20
- 4:25Speaker 3: wins and 13 losses.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Okay, and the last thing I'll touch up about that
- 4:30Speaker 5: is that I actually have a really funny acronym for
- 4:32Speaker 5: my team. I call it Sipper Smash Bros.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Mid.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Super Smash Bros.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Mid.
- 4:39Speaker 5: And the only reason I have it this way is
- 4:41Speaker 5: the acronyms are S-S-B-M-I-D.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 4:52Speaker 5: But into the high school stuff. We are actually really
- 4:57Speaker 5: starting league play. coming up this weekend, you know, we
- 5:01Speaker 5: have our first thing coming up on Riverside TV, Big
- 5:04Speaker 5: Bear at Norte Vista. That's the game that they're going
- 5:06Speaker 5: to be featuring. Obviously, you can check that out on
- 5:09Speaker 5: Riverside TV if you ever get the chance to. But
- 5:11Speaker 5: in the collegiate world, Riverside City College, now the best
- 5:15Speaker 5: team in the junior college world in California after knocking
- 5:19Speaker 5: off number two Saddleback last week and continuing on. I
- 5:24Speaker 5: have a big thing to say because, well, San Bernardino
- 5:27Speaker 5: Valley College is They're 5-0 on the season, and they're
- 5:30Speaker 5: having a big home game this week, which I'll be
- 5:32Speaker 5: a part of on the IENG channel on Saturday against
- 5:37Speaker 5: the 20th best state, let me rephrase, 20th best team
- 5:41Speaker 5: in the state, Fullerton College.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Oh, yo, Brandon, that sounds like a game we got
- 5:46Speaker 2: to watch.
- 5:47Speaker 4: That sounds pretty good.
- 5:49Speaker 5: But yeah, that's pretty much how my day's gone. Still
- 5:51Speaker 5: trying to figure out things for the Global Challenge, but
- 5:53Speaker 5: more than excited for this upcoming weekend, because you might
- 5:56Speaker 5: want to pay attention to this night's Friday Night Pep Rally.
- 5:59Speaker 5: I mean, you guys might be asleep for it, but
- 6:02Speaker 5: Devon will always be there on YouTube, but if you
- 6:04Speaker 5: happen to catch it live at 11pm Pacific, you'll find
- 6:07Speaker 5: a certain someone on the Friday Night Pep Rally.
- 6:10Speaker 3: This is Friday night at 11pm?
- 6:15Speaker 5: For me. For you guys, it'll be Saturday at 1
- 6:17Speaker 5: in the morning.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Uh brandon i think i speak for the both of
- 6:20Speaker 3: us when i say we'll be we'll be catching the
- 6:22Speaker 3: inside of our eyelids at that time.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Right yeah yeah no as someone who uh works for
- 6:29Speaker 4: a company that's also based in california time um yeah
- 6:32Speaker 4: no i'm definitely gonna be i'm definitely gonna be there
- 6:34Speaker 4: with my eyes.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Closed yeah that's why the thought will be there don't
- 6:37Speaker 5: worry I'm also.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Old, so my bedtime is like 10 o'clock Eastern.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I mean, Brandon, we're talking about old, and we've got
- 6:47Speaker 3: the young man in Nova on our podcast with us.
- 6:51Speaker 3: But guys, I got two weeks left before I'm 30. Literally,
- 6:56Speaker 3: when we preview the week four NFL games on episode 10,
- 7:01Speaker 3: which comes out next Wednesday at the time of this recording,
- 7:05Speaker 3: I will be celebrating the last week of my 20s.
- 7:09Speaker 3: That Monday night game where the Falcons play the Saints
- 7:12Speaker 3: is my 30th birthday.
- 7:14Speaker 4: You better hope for a good birthday present because, God Almighty,
- 7:17Speaker 4: you both make me feel old.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I'm going to be watching it. I'm
- 7:21Speaker 3: going to be watching and reacting to it live on
- 7:23Speaker 3: my Twitch channel. So that'll be a lot of fun.
- 7:26Speaker 3: But why are we talking about week four right now?
- 7:30Speaker 5: Yeah, it was barely week two. What are we doing?
- 7:33Speaker 5: Can we start this off by recapping the Thursday night
- 7:35Speaker 5: game in the new Highmark Stadium between the Lions and
- 7:38Speaker 5: the Bills?
- 7:39Speaker 4: Hold that thought, actually. Hold that thought. I do have
- 7:41Speaker 4: a very important update regarding the world of collegiate football.
- 7:44Speaker 4: If you guys remember, like week one or week two,
- 7:46Speaker 4: we briefly talked about at the end of the episode,
- 7:49Speaker 4: Victory Vaca in his scholarship that got revoked from Western
- 7:53Speaker 4: Kentucky University because he went to go see his mother's
- 7:58Speaker 4: funeral in California. Yeah. So the last update that we
- 8:01Speaker 4: had on that at that time was that he had
- 8:04Speaker 4: been stripped of his scholarship because his coach was honestly
- 8:08Speaker 4: just a piece of crap. Well, in between then and now,
- 8:13Speaker 4: apparently he wound up hiring an attorney, and he wound
- 8:20Speaker 4: up having his actual full legal battle against the NCAA
- 8:24Speaker 4: in western Kentucky funded by And successfully won by none
- 8:31Speaker 4: other than Lil Wayne.
- 8:34Speaker 5: What?
- 8:35Speaker 2: There's no way.
- 8:37Speaker 4: So, Victory Vaca now has transferred to Middles Tennessee State University.
- 8:43Speaker 4: And he was eligible for the collegiate football season week one.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I hear the research going right now.
- 8:54Speaker 5: No, for me, it's like Lil Wayne helping out. It's
- 8:56Speaker 5: like the least believable thing I can hear from somebody. Exactly.
- 9:00Speaker 4: I'm telling you. I'm telling you. Look it up. It
- 9:02Speaker 4: literally says College Football Player Victory Vodka transferred to MTSU,
- 9:07Speaker 4: which is not too far from here in North Carolina,
- 9:09Speaker 4: after rapper Lil Wayne funded his legal battle against the
- 9:13Speaker 4: NCAA in Western Kentucky. Direct sourcing by CBS Sports.
- 9:21Speaker 5: And that is how you do journalism, ladies and gentlemen.
- 9:25Speaker 5: I'm proud of you, Brandon.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Look, look, I might just have a two-year degree in
- 9:29Speaker 4: broadcast journalism, but I am a man of research. So
- 9:33Speaker 4: I didn't even think to look it up until today,
- 9:37Speaker 4: whenever he started mentioning collegiate football. And the more obscure
- 9:42Speaker 4: teams compared to what you would hear in today's modern
- 9:45Speaker 4: collegiate football world. So I was like, oh, hey, let
- 9:46Speaker 4: me look this up real quick. It was a very
- 9:48Speaker 4: pleasant find to see little Wayne funded some random football
- 9:51Speaker 4: players fight against NCAA.
- 9:54Speaker 2: And I actually do have the article up right now.
- 9:56Speaker 3: So Nova, he is right.
- 9:59Speaker 5: I never said he wasn't right. I just like, it's
- 10:02Speaker 5: just a crazy thing.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it is like the, the, the tagline of that
- 10:08Speaker 3: article that Brandon's referencing by Chris Hummer titled after mother's death,
- 10:13Speaker 3: victory vodka lands at middle Tennessee with NCAA fight backed
- 10:16Speaker 3: by low Wayne.
- 10:21Speaker 4: The resolution of this was that Vodka won the legal battle,
- 10:24Speaker 4: was granted an injunction to enter the transfer portal, Jesus Christ,
- 10:31Speaker 4: English is hard, on August 20th, and he even got
- 10:34Speaker 4: flown to meet Lil Wayne after securing his new path
- 10:38Speaker 4: into MTSU.
- 10:40Speaker 3: I mean, hey, you can't go wrong with that, am
- 10:42Speaker 3: I right?
- 10:43Speaker 4: I mean, it's not the most ideal circumstances, you know,
- 10:47Speaker 4: considering how all of it came about to begin with,
- 10:49Speaker 4: and that shouldn't happen to anybody. you know, having your
- 10:51Speaker 4: scholarship revoked in a way that he did.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And I agree with you on that part, but that's
- 10:56Speaker 2: awesome at the same time.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Yeah, it is. Yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 3: That, that is awesome. And shout outs to low Wayne,
- 11:02Speaker 3: by the way, the most famous person to come out
- 11:06Speaker 3: of that state of Louisiana. And he's not even a
- 11:09Speaker 3: saints fan. He's a cheese head.
- 11:12Speaker 5: I remember he tweeted how he didn't want to watch
- 11:14Speaker 5: the Packers. He's enough that I Viking sting.
- 11:19Speaker 3: I mean, it kind of, I mean, you can't blame
- 11:22Speaker 3: him after how the Packers choked that game away. I mean,
- 11:25Speaker 3: did you see Tom Grossi's video?
- 11:26Speaker 2: I did.
- 11:29Speaker 5: God, I love Tom Grossi.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he's hilarious. I mean, I just saw this one.
- 11:35Speaker 3: I mean, we're going to be talking about it in
- 11:36Speaker 3: a little bit for week two. This Dre Wallen guy,
- 11:40Speaker 3: he does like stupid comedy videos on TikTok, and he
- 11:44Speaker 3: did one of the Tampa Cleveland game, which we'll get
- 11:49Speaker 3: into it. It was hilarious.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Yeah, and that's also a part of why this title
- 11:55Speaker 5: is called Descriptus and Flipped, because I don't know why
- 11:58Speaker 5: I thought... It was a good thing I alluded to
- 12:01Speaker 5: the fact that the Browns could be the opposite, but
- 12:03Speaker 5: as you'll see, I didn't think it'd be believable.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I mean, none of us did, but Let's start recapping
- 12:11Speaker 3: week number two, guys. And I mean, Nova, you started
- 12:16Speaker 3: the lead with it because it was.
- 12:18Speaker 2: The home opener for the Buffalo Bills.
- 12:21Speaker 3: And they were breaking in that spiffy new stadium out
- 12:25Speaker 3: there in Orchard Park that has horrible.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Set up with the.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Various locations that have some bad viewpoints. And, you know, Brandon,
- 12:40Speaker 3: even though he's a Patriots fan, he probably slammed himself
- 12:42Speaker 3: through a table to be honorary Bills Mafia member of
- 12:45Speaker 3: the week.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Me? Honorary Bills fan of the week? Absolutely not. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 4: I'm going to jump off the roof of my house first.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Show Bills fans how you really elbow drop a table.
- 12:58Speaker 2: But you will be going through a table, correct?
- 13:02Speaker 4: I have to aim correctly, so I mean, that would
- 13:04Speaker 4: be the goal.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 13:08Speaker 5: But yeah, that is New Highmark Stadium that just got opened.
- 13:11Speaker 5: I don't know if they sold out. I'm pretty sure
- 13:12Speaker 5: the answer is yes. And oh yeah, boy, I called
- 13:15Speaker 5: this game almost correctly, because I hate that this is
- 13:19Speaker 5: the theme for the Bills, at least as of late,
- 13:21Speaker 5: that Josh Allen has to go god mode, but that's
- 13:24Speaker 5: just been what's been happening.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Josh Allen has definitely been going god mode right now.
- 13:30Speaker 5: I mean.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Uh, that, that game was absolutely incredible for a Thursday
- 13:35Speaker 3: night contest. And all I can say about that, I mean,
- 13:40Speaker 3: I felt more like the James Cook show at one
- 13:44Speaker 3: point with how they were playing, like James Cook for
- 13:47Speaker 3: a buck 35.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Like that's great for a running back.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I mean, I have a running back that likes going
- 13:54Speaker 3: for a buck 35 when he can get running.
- 13:57Speaker 4: We'll touch on that later. Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 5: But yeah, the final score, if I remember correctly, 41-34.
- 14:04Speaker 5: The Bills won, although that score is really deceptive of
- 14:08Speaker 5: how the game was played because the Bills at one
- 14:10Speaker 5: point were leading 21-7. And the Lions, you know, their offense,
- 14:14Speaker 5: they're continuing to work. You know, Jared Goff still doing
- 14:17Speaker 5: his thing with Amon Ross St.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Brown.
- 14:19Speaker 5: However, I think this game doesn't really... answer the questions
- 14:23Speaker 5: that we had from last week, whereas the Lions' secondary
- 14:27Speaker 5: issues are still there, and the Buffalo Bills' defense is
- 14:30Speaker 5: still suspect.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I mean, the Bills' defense has always been suspect.
- 14:34Speaker 3: They nearly lost to the Houston Texans in week one.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Yep.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Like, the Bills are a sack and a fumble because C.J.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Stroud tried to play hero ball away from potentially being
- 14:51Speaker 3: one-on-one right now.
- 14:53Speaker 5: But yeah, what I'm trying to allude to, just like,
- 14:56Speaker 5: what happens when Josh Allen doesn't go god mode in
- 14:58Speaker 5: that situation?
- 15:00Speaker 3: Then they just lose. I mean, I was going to say, Brandon,
- 15:03Speaker 3: you hit the nail on the head. They're basically up
- 15:05Speaker 3: Schitt's Creek without a paddle.
- 15:07Speaker 4: Yep.
- 15:09Speaker 3: I mean, the other thing that I want to throw
- 15:11Speaker 3: out here in this, like the box score, I mean,
- 15:15Speaker 3: Josh Allen, like Nova said, 20-31 for 248 with three touchdowns,
- 15:19Speaker 3: no interceptions. Jared Goff, 26-38 for 327 yards, four touchdowns,
- 15:26Speaker 3: no interceptions. Help me understand this, guys. So Jared Goff
- 15:31Speaker 3: had a higher passer rating than Josh Allen, but Josh
- 15:36Speaker 3: Allen had a higher QBR than Jared Goff.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Yep.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Make it make sense with these numbers.
- 15:48Speaker 4: It's, it's a really, it's a really weird thing though.
- 15:50Speaker 4: I mean, QBR is, it's not, I don't think it's
- 15:53Speaker 4: the most reliable thing in the world because it calculates
- 15:56Speaker 4: this weird play by play statistical model. And I think
- 16:02Speaker 4: a lot of that has to do with the fact
- 16:05Speaker 4: it just factors in all quarterback play. which I believe
- 16:09Speaker 4: would also include, I don't know this for sure because
- 16:11Speaker 4: I'm not looking at it, it would also calculate into
- 16:14Speaker 4: play the efficiency of the quarterback, also due to Josh
- 16:19Speaker 4: Allen's two rushing touchdowns as well.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Which, by the way, puts him in the top 20, apparently,
- 16:24Speaker 5: all-time in rushing touchdowns.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Which is crazy.
- 16:27Speaker 3: I know.
- 16:28Speaker 2: That's just stuff that you don't even think about, but.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, Josh Allen right now, he is playing
- 16:36Speaker 3: absolutely out of his mind, so much so that Nova,
- 16:40Speaker 3: I'm going to bring up Brandon's favorite person in the
- 16:42Speaker 3: sports media world real quick.
- 16:44Speaker 2: He was at the.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Top of Nick Wright's Mahomes Mountain today.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Mahomes Mountain's so fucking stupid. I refuse to make a
- 16:58Speaker 4: comment on that one because I don't watch that show.
- 16:59Speaker 2: As you shouldn't.
- 17:03Speaker 3: I can tell you, Lamar was in row three of
- 17:06Speaker 3: Mahomes Mountain alongside the Prince.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Being who?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Oh, the Prince is Trevor Lawrence.
- 17:15Speaker 4: That's interesting because Trevor Lawrence is not even on the
- 17:19Speaker 4: Vegas odds for MVP.
- 17:20Speaker 5: I mean, as we'll allude to later, he didn't play
- 17:25Speaker 5: an awful game last week, but well, I think that's
- 17:28Speaker 5: more indicative of how he did against the Browns than
- 17:31Speaker 5: how good he is actually.
- 17:34Speaker 4: I think he's good. I mean, I do think he's
- 17:36Speaker 4: definitely stepped up. We'll talk about that more on that later. But,
- 17:39Speaker 4: you know, I definitely don't think he's top five right now,
- 17:43Speaker 4: just based on current week two performances. But just kind
- 17:46Speaker 4: of give you guys just a little bit of an
- 17:48Speaker 4: insight to it. Current Vegas odds for MVP are, from
- 17:52Speaker 4: first to last, Josh Allen, Mahomes, Lamar, Brock Purdy, Joe Burrow.
- 17:56Speaker 5: I actually agree with those rankings. I actually agree.
- 18:03Speaker 3: I would agree with those rankings myself. But, yeah, I mean,
- 18:08Speaker 3: what more can you say about the Bills and the Lions?
- 18:12Speaker 3: I mean, Jameer Gibbs, 16 carries for 52 yards. I mean, look,
- 18:16Speaker 3: people keep trying to tell me Jameer Gibbs is better
- 18:19Speaker 3: than Bajon Robinson. He is not better than Bajon, but
- 18:25Speaker 3: I digress on that one.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Amon Roth.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I bet you do digress.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I mean, yes, I do digress.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I mean, Amon Ra, nine catches for a buck 42
- 18:35Speaker 3: with two touchdowns. I mean, Amon Ra is a great
- 18:39Speaker 3: wide receiver, if you ask me. The other thing that
- 18:43Speaker 3: I'm noticing is that Jared Goff fumbled twice. Josh Allen
- 18:48Speaker 3: fumbled once. And yeah, I mean, so there were a
- 18:53Speaker 3: couple of times the ball was on the ground that
- 18:54Speaker 3: kind of is unfortunate. I'm also happy that Dalton Kincaid
- 18:59Speaker 3: made a showing because.
- 19:01Speaker 5: My fantasy team thanks him for that.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Yeah, so does mine because my other tight end is
- 19:06Speaker 2: Kyle Pitts.
- 19:09Speaker 4: He was the Pitts. Anyway... Oh.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
- 19:16Speaker 4: We'll save that one for when the time comes.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Yeah, the other thing that I want to also point
- 19:24Speaker 3: out in that Thursday night game, third down efficiency, Buffalo
- 19:30Speaker 3: was 75% on third down.
- 19:32Speaker 4: That speaks a lot to that Detroit defense. As in
- 19:37Speaker 4: what defense?
- 19:38Speaker 5: Yeah, they don't have a secondary.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I was going to say. It's like,
- 19:42Speaker 4: what defense?
- 19:43Speaker 5: And I don't even think Brian Branch coming back is
- 19:45Speaker 5: going to help.
- 19:48Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to help.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Either but then you also throw in the fact that
- 19:53Speaker 3: the Lions if you add their fourth down so the
- 19:56Speaker 3: Lions were perfect on fourth down but they were four
- 19:59Speaker 3: for eleven on third down so six of thirteen just
- 20:03Speaker 3: sub under sub fifty percent but not terrible um I mean,
- 20:09Speaker 3: time of possession, Bills had the advantage by seven minutes. Penalty,
- 20:14Speaker 3: I mean, penalties usually are the big problem in the
- 20:20Speaker 3: league right now. But also when you think about it,
- 20:23Speaker 3: Jameer Gibbs had 52 rushing yards and the Lions finished
- 20:28Speaker 3: with 66 on the ground. Are they missing Montgomery right now?
- 20:34Speaker 4: Just a touch.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I think so too. Again, Montgomery got signed and traded,
- 20:40Speaker 5: so I think it's more so Detroit. They were sure
- 20:43Speaker 5: they could move on from Montgomery, but I'm not too
- 20:45Speaker 5: sure if they truly could. At least now. Yeah.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Because if you look at their rushing, who else did
- 20:55Speaker 4: the rushing in that game? The answer is nobody. Because
- 20:59Speaker 4: outside of that, Goff had three carries for seven yards,
- 21:02Speaker 4: however many, you know. How many of that ever involved, like,
- 21:05Speaker 4: end-of-game procedure? And then you have this random other running back,
- 21:10Speaker 4: Sion Vaki, with one carry for seven yards. Outside of that,
- 21:13Speaker 4: Jameer Gibbs.
- 21:15Speaker 5: Yeah, a reminder that Isaiah Pacheco still hurts for the Lions.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Pacheco is still hurt.
- 21:22Speaker 4: But.
- 21:23Speaker 3: I'm sorry, you were saying, Brandon?
- 21:29Speaker 4: I was going to say, like, a lot of this...
- 21:34Speaker 4: The Detroit offense right now is really focusing on Jameer Gibbs, obviously,
- 21:40Speaker 4: and Amon Ross St. Brown. If you are not one
- 21:43Speaker 4: of those two players, your production is probably going to
- 21:46Speaker 4: be middle of the road. Because, you know, Amon Ross,
- 21:50Speaker 4: Amon Ray, you know, nine receptions, 142 yards, two TVs
- 21:53Speaker 4: on 13 targets with nine catches out of those 13.
- 21:57Speaker 4: And then, but you turn around and you also have
- 21:59Speaker 4: Jameer Gibbs with a receiving touchdown as well. six receptions,
- 22:03Speaker 4: 61 yards on eight targets. I mean, that's their offense.
- 22:09Speaker 4: It's like, and I'm going to kind of reference the
- 22:11Speaker 4: NBA here for a second. It's like prior to this season, right?
- 22:15Speaker 4: The Philadelphia 76ers, you let Joel Embiid do whatever the
- 22:20Speaker 4: heck he wants to do, you guard everybody else. Milwaukee Bucks,
- 22:25Speaker 4: you let Giannis do whatever he wants to do, you
- 22:28Speaker 4: guard everybody else. It's the same thing here. You just
- 22:31Speaker 4: let these two players kind of do whatever they want to,
- 22:33Speaker 4: do what you can to stop them, guard everybody else,
- 22:36Speaker 4: and you wind up with a result like this because
- 22:37Speaker 4: the Detroit defense just cannot do what they're supposed to do.
- 22:40Speaker 5: And the last thing I'll point out, now that you
- 22:42Speaker 5: mentioned it, I'm worried for the Bills if that's what
- 22:45Speaker 5: happens to any opposing defense facing the Buffalo Bills because
- 22:48Speaker 5: it's like, Josh, I keep alluding to this and I
- 22:50Speaker 5: hate to be the one saying it because Josh Allen
- 22:52Speaker 5: is the best player in the league right now.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Whoa, now.
- 22:56Speaker 5: But what happens... But... But what happens if Josh Allen
- 23:00Speaker 5: can't do his thing?
- 23:01Speaker 4: Then he's loose.
- 23:04Speaker 5: That's my word for Buffalo. I don't want them to
- 23:06Speaker 5: loose because the defense lets them down. I know you do.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I know I do too.
- 23:11Speaker 5: But from a general perspective, I don't want to see
- 23:14Speaker 5: that happen.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I do. But Nova, when you think about it, all
- 23:21Speaker 3: you got to do is wait for January to come
- 23:24Speaker 3: around in Buffalo. And then Brandon's even happier than he
- 23:26Speaker 3: is right now.
- 23:28Speaker 5: Oh, I was too.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Don't worry.
- 23:29Speaker 5: All right. Let's move on to the Sunday slate. And
- 23:34Speaker 5: we had a difficult time seeing who was going first
- 23:36Speaker 5: amongst the three of us because the Ravens, Falcons, and
- 23:38Speaker 5: Patriots all had the same time window, but.
- 23:40Speaker 4: All three of them had different results.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I'm going last. I'm going last.
- 23:46Speaker 5: I mean, that's the part we decided on. That's what
- 23:48Speaker 5: we decided on.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Wait a minute.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Why did we decide on.
- 23:52Speaker 3: This, by the way?
- 23:53Speaker 4: Would you like to go ahead and reveal the answer
- 23:55Speaker 4: to this one, Talon?
- 23:58Speaker 2: I don't know, Nova. Do you want to answer the question?
- 24:02Speaker 5: Why don't you want to?
- 24:05Speaker 2: Because I would rather you guys lead it off.
- 24:10Speaker 5: I mean, you probably have the longer time anyway. I mean,
- 24:14Speaker 5: I am going to go with my tangents, but I
- 24:16Speaker 5: probably am going to have the least amount of time
- 24:18Speaker 5: on it than the two of you might. But I
- 24:20Speaker 5: have some things to say, so let's start off with
- 24:22Speaker 5: me then. So New Orleans at Baltimore... i hate the
- 24:27Speaker 5: way the ending was it was like seven it was
- 24:29Speaker 5: like 14 to 3 or 17 to 3 a half
- 24:31Speaker 5: time i was talking to us in the discord while
- 24:35Speaker 5: we were watching the games you know talent had a
- 24:37Speaker 5: lot more notes than i did at the time you
- 24:38Speaker 5: know i thought it's gonna be another chill game derrick
- 24:40Speaker 5: henry had a touchdown it was like a decent game
- 24:43Speaker 5: i mean keep in mind we didn't have jacoby lane
- 24:46Speaker 5: or zay clowers because of injury tez walker had a
- 24:48Speaker 5: great catch but Then the second half happens. It's like
- 24:52Speaker 5: our offense suddenly shut down. You know, Tyler loop had
- 24:54Speaker 5: that field goal to make a 17 to three. And
- 24:57Speaker 5: then for whatever reason in the four quarter, we play soft,
- 25:00Speaker 5: super soft coverage on defense. You know, there was a
- 25:03Speaker 5: point during the saints comeback drive when we were tight
- 25:06Speaker 5: at 17, where the defensive backs were playing 10 yards
- 25:09Speaker 5: apart from the receivers. Like, what are we doing on defense?
- 25:13Speaker 5: And then Chris Olave and Vele both got amazing receiving
- 25:18Speaker 5: days for Tyler Shuck. Are we just not putting our
- 25:21Speaker 5: best defensive backs on Olave? What's going on? And then
- 25:25Speaker 5: it all came to that goal line touchdown that I
- 25:29Speaker 5: don't think should have been called a touchdown. But they
- 25:31Speaker 5: missed a face smash, so it wouldn't have mattered because
- 25:33Speaker 5: either we would have lost there or they would have
- 25:36Speaker 5: got that touchdown and we'd be in the same situation
- 25:39Speaker 5: we did. And then stupid fourth quarter. I was so
- 25:42Speaker 5: livid at this because as soon as we were driving
- 25:46Speaker 5: and then Lamar over froze Bateman and I don't know
- 25:49Speaker 5: if it's truly Lamar's fault or it was Bateman's fault.
- 25:52Speaker 5: Then it gets intercepted. The game's over. And then the
- 25:54Speaker 5: internet labels us as jokers. They're saying Lamar's fake and
- 25:57Speaker 5: Talon's over here livid because the Saints won.
- 25:59Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not even livid that the Saints won
- 26:06Speaker 3: per se because again, I may hate the Saints from
- 26:11Speaker 3: a division rivalry and a historical standpoint, but there have
- 26:15Speaker 3: been players that wear that Fleur de Lis that I
- 26:20Speaker 3: have respected. And again, You will not find a Falcons
- 26:23Speaker 3: fan out there that will say that Drew Brees did
- 26:27Speaker 3: not deserve first ballot Hall of Fame. They'll say that
- 26:30Speaker 3: they hated him when he played for New Orleans, but
- 26:34Speaker 3: you'd have to find the dumbest, most loyal supporter. They'd
- 26:39Speaker 3: have to be so far up Trump's ass. I couldn't
- 26:42Speaker 3: tell where Trump ends and they begin. That's how... a
- 26:46Speaker 3: shade of Brown, their nose would be to say that
- 26:49Speaker 3: drew breeze was not a hall of famer.
- 26:51Speaker 2: First ballot.
- 26:53Speaker 5: Yeah. Continuing on though, that is apparently our 21st blown
- 26:57Speaker 5: four quarter league since 2020 decade, which still so most
- 27:01Speaker 5: of all time, people are saying that John Harbaugh wasn't
- 27:04Speaker 5: a problem. The thing about Mars, the problem, like I
- 27:07Speaker 5: truly don't know what's going on. Like our, our office,
- 27:09Speaker 5: somebody forgot how to play Derek Henry again. There was
- 27:12Speaker 5: a third and one where we threw a deep ball
- 27:13Speaker 5: to Chris Moore for some reason instead of running for it.
- 27:16Speaker 5: Then the defense, as I said, was playing super soft
- 27:19Speaker 5: coverage for no reason. We're playing pre-event defense in a
- 27:22Speaker 5: third and eight? What are we doing? Lamar is owning
- 27:26Speaker 5: up to the interception. Again, I don't know if it
- 27:27Speaker 5: was his fault or if it was Rashad Bateman's fault.
- 27:30Speaker 5: This game is so lost to me. I was angry
- 27:32Speaker 5: at the time, but I'm less angry about it because
- 27:34Speaker 5: it's probably one of those early losses that we have
- 27:36Speaker 5: to learn from, but I hate the internet sometimes. That's
- 27:40Speaker 5: all I'm going to say.
- 27:41Speaker 4: I mean, honestly, I think this was more on the
- 27:43Speaker 4: defense than it was Lamar.
- 27:44Speaker 5: That's what I'm thinking too.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Like how else are you just going to give up?
- 27:47Speaker 4: You're going to go into the fourth quarter and you're
- 27:49Speaker 4: up 17 to nine. And then you let 15 unanswered rip.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Because again, they were playing super soft coverage. Like you'll
- 27:57Speaker 5: notice on one of the plays, like on a third
- 27:59Speaker 5: and eight, they're playing different defensive backs, 10 yards deep.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Like what are they doing?
- 28:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:04Speaker 3: I mean, again, the only thing that I was going
- 28:07Speaker 3: to say about, like the saints or whatever is the
- 28:10Speaker 3: fact that, you know, I remember an earlier episode that
- 28:15Speaker 3: we talked about, you know, Drake London V Chris Olave.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Brandon is probably waving his flag saying.
- 28:22Speaker 5: Ha ha.
- 28:23Speaker 1: I'm right.
- 28:24Speaker 2: You're wrong right now.
- 28:27Speaker 3: I still believe Drake London is better than Chris Olave,
- 28:29Speaker 3: but that is me. But, yeah, I watched the touchdown
- 28:34Speaker 3: that Olave hit where he just hit the skinny post
- 28:37Speaker 3: on the inside. And yet, Brandon, there wasn't a receiver,
- 28:42Speaker 3: a defender within, what, 20 yards.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Of him, it felt like?
- 28:46Speaker 4: I don't like him the whole time.
- 28:50Speaker 5: I also need to point this out, too, because apparently
- 28:52Speaker 5: the Internet's talking a lot of crap about Alki Starks,
- 28:54Speaker 5: our first-round pick for, I think, two years ago.
- 28:56Speaker 4: He is.
- 28:57Speaker 5: God, he's near the bottom of the rankings in pro
- 29:01Speaker 5: football focus. Near the bottom of the rankings in safeties.
- 29:05Speaker 5: And he's a first-round pick. Oh, my God. This is
- 29:09Speaker 5: just an infuriating loss for me. I'm sure we can
- 29:11Speaker 5: recover from this with Dallas coming up in the schedule,
- 29:14Speaker 5: which we'll talk about later. But, oh, my goodness. I
- 29:18Speaker 5: hate how this is how the internet's labeling us. Especially
- 29:22Speaker 5: the Bills fans. They're out here saying Lamar's washed. They're like,
- 29:25Speaker 5: he's flipping cheeseburgers or something. And again, that interception, I'm
- 29:29Speaker 5: going to say it for a third time. I don't
- 29:30Speaker 5: know if it was his fault or who's the follower
- 29:33Speaker 5: shot baby i truly don't know.
- 29:35Speaker 3: I i think it was i think you're even throw
- 29:37Speaker 3: forget on one part of it nova they had to
- 29:40Speaker 3: drive 65 yards and 30 seconds so it might even
- 29:44Speaker 3: be you know they were just so crunched for time
- 29:47Speaker 3: that they were trying to just hit a home run
- 29:50Speaker 3: ball get inside like the 15 or whatever spike the
- 29:53Speaker 3: ball get two plays into the end.
- 29:55Speaker 5: Zone yeah that was another thing too because it's again
- 29:58Speaker 5: that final touchdown i I'm pretty sure it wasn't a touchdown,
- 30:01Speaker 5: but they missed a face mask call. So it was
- 30:03Speaker 5: either you get the touchdown there or the Saints run
- 30:05Speaker 5: out the clock and we lose. So I ultimately think
- 30:07Speaker 5: that missed call didn't even matter.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think it mattered either, but I mean,
- 30:16Speaker 3: by Brandon, I mean, we were talking about fantasy teams.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I very much enjoy when Derrick Henry hits his head
- 30:21Speaker 3: on the goal post.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Well, guess what?
- 30:25Speaker 5: It didn't freaking happen because apparently we forgot about him
- 30:27Speaker 5: again in the third quarter in the second half for
- 30:29Speaker 5: some reason.
- 30:30Speaker 2: But he had a touchdown, so again, that's what I'm saying.
- 30:34Speaker 5: Yeah, and I'm just annoyed at this loss more than anything,
- 30:37Speaker 5: and that's why I think it's a shorter and sweeter thing,
- 30:39Speaker 5: whereas you're going to see very next, like coming up,
- 30:43Speaker 5: I don't know if the ad's going to be here,
- 30:45Speaker 5: because whenever I listen to Spotify, the ads sometimes pop
- 30:48Speaker 5: up random segments, but if it pops up here, then
- 30:51Speaker 5: I hope you enjoy Talon's segment, because guess what, buddy?
- 30:54Speaker 5: You're next.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Do we have to?
- 30:58Speaker 4: People listen to Spotify with ads? That's criminal behavior.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I mean, hey, if there's ever a plug for Spotify Premium,
- 31:08Speaker 2: it's right there.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Heck yeah. Anyway, so Talon.
- 31:14Speaker 2: So Brandon.
- 31:17Speaker 4: What happened in Georgia?
- 31:19Speaker 5: This is your segment.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Come on. Well, I mean, I figured you guys were
- 31:22Speaker 3: going to lead me in a little bit better than that.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Oh, no, we're ripping the bandaid off, brother.
- 31:28Speaker 5: No, I gave you a transition.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, you gave me a transition, but I figured,
- 31:32Speaker 3: you know, maybe like you're going to like lead me in,
- 31:35Speaker 3: you know, just be very sly with it. Be very coy.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Be very cordial. And then I hit the button.
- 31:43Speaker 5: Let me try this then. You alluded to last week
- 31:47Speaker 5: with your pick on the Falcons that you would switch
- 31:49Speaker 5: the pick between if Cooper Rush was starting or someone
- 31:51Speaker 5: else was starting. And let's just say they decided to
- 31:55Speaker 5: start Cooper Rush for some reason because Kevin Stepanski is
- 31:57Speaker 5: still in his Browns form for some reason.
- 32:00Speaker 3: And to that I say....
- 32:09Speaker 1: Because what the fuck was that embarrassment on Sunday? Holy shit!
- 32:21Speaker 1: I was livid on Sunday. I could take losing to
- 32:27Speaker 1: a division rival.
- 32:29Speaker 3: I could take the fact that Bryce Young is this
- 32:32Speaker 3: generation's Jameis Winston when he plays the Atlanta Falcons because
- 32:36Speaker 3: for some reason, Bryce Young, despite not being the greatest
- 32:40Speaker 3: quarterback in the world, and I don't give a fuck
- 32:42Speaker 3: that he went to the University of Alabama, Brandon, he is...
- 32:47Speaker 3: not the greatest quarterback. But for some reason, I can't
- 32:52Speaker 3: figure it out. Every time it was Jameis when he
- 32:55Speaker 3: was in Tampa, now it's Bryce when he's in Carolina.
- 32:58Speaker 3: They always play out of their fucking minds whenever they
- 33:04Speaker 3: are playing the Falcons, whether it's at home or it's
- 33:07Speaker 3: on the road. And Bryce Young really likes playing Atlanta
- 33:12Speaker 3: on the road. Because he really He has taken Mercedes-Benz Stadium,
- 33:18Speaker 3: and he might as well take ownership of that and
- 33:20Speaker 3: the Georgia World Congress Center that's right next door to
- 33:24Speaker 3: the fucking building when the Pokemon tournament goes there in
- 33:28Speaker 3: January because that's how bad he owned our fucking asses.
- 33:32Speaker 3: But it also doesn't help the fact when you.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Have Cooper fucking Rush as your fucking starter.
- 33:41Speaker 2: My God, look, look.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I gave a little bit of flack for week one.
- 33:48Speaker 3: I was willing to be right on that game picking
- 33:52Speaker 3: Pittsburgh because I picked it based on history. I told
- 33:55Speaker 3: you guys that. I didn't care what starting quarterback. I
- 33:59Speaker 3: said I would have even thrown the two of you
- 34:02Speaker 3: as the starting quarterback, and you still wouldn't have my
- 34:05Speaker 3: prediction to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I was right
- 34:08Speaker 3: with that. But then you factor in that Atlanta's offense
- 34:12Speaker 3: scored the same amount of points on offense as the
- 34:14Speaker 3: Steelers' offense did in that game.
- 34:16Speaker 2: And the only.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Difference was because our quarterback throws a pick six to
- 34:20Speaker 3: arguably one of the greatest edge rushers in the game
- 34:23Speaker 3: and probably in league history in TJ Watt. Let's just
- 34:26Speaker 3: call a spade a spade. But you get the ball
- 34:31Speaker 3: to start that game. And you run a play-action bootleg.
- 34:36Speaker 1: You have Jahan Dotson wide-ass fucking open. You could have
- 34:43Speaker 1: pitched and caught it like you were a kid with
- 34:46Speaker 1: his father in a baseball out.
- 34:48Speaker 3: In the driveway.
- 34:50Speaker 1: And you run the ball and you die for the
- 34:55Speaker 1: first down.
- 34:57Speaker 3: And yes, I understand. To most people, you thought he
- 35:00Speaker 3: was down by contact. Even I thought he was down
- 35:02Speaker 3: by contact at first. I still hated the fact that
- 35:05Speaker 3: he ran, but he fumbled the ball and Carolina recovers.
- 35:08Speaker 3: And then they drive 30 yards. Fourth and goal happens.
- 35:12Speaker 3: And Mike Hughes and Xavier Watts, I don't know what
- 35:14Speaker 3: the fuck they were talking about with each other, but
- 35:17Speaker 3: they got confused. And Shuba Hubbard just so happened to
- 35:22Speaker 3: be so far wide open, you could have put a
- 35:25Speaker 3: railroad crossing sign out there and you still would have
- 35:30Speaker 3: been open. That's how bad that was. Then three plays later,
- 35:34Speaker 3: you have Bajon Robinson run a halfback angle route and
- 35:37Speaker 3: Cooper Rush hesitates on the throw. And he throws it late.
- 35:43Speaker 5: And it's tipped.
- 35:44Speaker 3: And it's intercepted by Bobby Okereke. And yes, Atlanta's defense held.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Because the only saving grace is Atlanta's defense right now.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Yes, I know.
- 35:53Speaker 3: They gave up 34 points. I get it. But at
- 35:57Speaker 3: the same time, they were bending as hard as they
- 36:00Speaker 3: could to not break.
- 36:01Speaker 2: They were trying to keep the team in the game.
- 36:04Speaker 4: It was.
- 36:05Speaker 2: At one point, it was.
- 36:06Speaker 3: 13 to nothing. You were in field goal range. You
- 36:10Speaker 3: could have maybe gotten a touchdown. And Cooper Rush knew
- 36:12Speaker 3: he threw an interception right there when he threw it
- 36:14Speaker 3: to Olamide Zaccheaus. There were two guys there, and you're
- 36:17Speaker 3: lucky that ball hit the ground because that was a
- 36:20Speaker 3: horrible play.
- 36:21Speaker 2: But then in the second half, wait, it gets better.
- 36:25Speaker 3: You have Kyle Pitts running an inside seam route and
- 36:29Speaker 3: a cover six defense for Carolina. And you watch as
- 36:35Speaker 3: Devin Lloyd is just saying, please throw that ball. Please
- 36:39Speaker 3: throw that ball.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Oh, my God, he threw the fucking ball.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I can't believe he's this fucking stupid.
- 36:43Speaker 1: And he one-handed intercepted it and ran it back for
- 36:46Speaker 1: 60 yards.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Mind you. God, was that horrible. I was texting my
- 36:53Speaker 3: friend Anthony. He goes by Sharpie. He's one of my
- 36:57Speaker 3: moderators on Twitch. He's one of my best friends in
- 36:59Speaker 3: the Pokemon community. I was texting him. For the love
- 37:02Speaker 3: of God, put in Jack Strait. This can't. Be reality
- 37:09Speaker 3: right now. I know Nova is smiling because he went
- 37:13Speaker 3: through this experience and he knows that I'm saying everything
- 37:17Speaker 3: that he was saying years ago, but it was so, so,
- 37:22Speaker 3: so bad. I don't even give a fuck about the
- 37:26Speaker 3: stupid-ass Arthur Smith-esque fourth and one jet sweep where you
- 37:32Speaker 3: have Devin Lloyd in the mic-back position where nobody blocks
- 37:36Speaker 3: Devin Lloyd and he blows up the play.
- 37:39Speaker 2: It was stupid.
- 37:40Speaker 3: I hated it. Then you have Darren Waller, who basically
- 37:44Speaker 3: comes out of fucking retirement and catches two touchdowns. You
- 37:48Speaker 3: have Chuma Hubbard, who catches a touchdown. I'm surprised TMAC
- 37:52Speaker 3: didn't catch a touchdown, but he still had over a
- 37:55Speaker 3: buck in receiving guards. And he had a really nice
- 37:57Speaker 3: catch on the sideline. It was great coverage by Mike Hughes.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Just a better catch. It's one of those classic ones that...
- 38:04Speaker 3: You can't really, you can't really fault a defender. If
- 38:08Speaker 3: you're making perfect coverage and they still make a catch,
- 38:11Speaker 3: I give a tip. Great coverage. Great catch. But one time,
- 38:16Speaker 3: TMAC in Atlanta runs a cover six. TMAC finds an
- 38:19Speaker 3: open hole. That was actually right before Chuba Hubbard's touchdown,
- 38:21Speaker 3: mind you. Then you factor in the fact that.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Nick Folk, again, this guy hasn't missed, didn't miss all
- 38:27Speaker 1: three kicks in three years.
- 38:28Speaker 2: He has missed three kicks in two games. Like, What
- 38:32Speaker 2: the fuck, man?
- 38:34Speaker 3: We are just, it's not worth a curse. Ever since
- 38:38Speaker 3: Matt Bryant left, we can't find a kicker. We are
- 38:41Speaker 3: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the 2008 to 2010s where
- 38:46Speaker 3: they couldn't find a kicker because they ran Matt Bryant
- 38:49Speaker 3: out of Tampa Bay and he went to Atlanta. And
- 38:52Speaker 3: then you bring in Jack strength. I mean, it was
- 38:55Speaker 3: so bad. You actually had the fans chanting. We want strength.
- 38:58Speaker 2: You didn't even need.
- 38:58Speaker 3: John boy out there to see what they were showing
- 39:02Speaker 3: on the broadcast. And by the way, I'll say this
- 39:04Speaker 3: on the, uh, Fox broadcast. It's a little bit of
- 39:06Speaker 3: a tangent on this.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Um, uh, The game was.
- 39:09Speaker 3: So bad that we were actually listening to the Jets
- 39:12Speaker 3: Packers game audio instead of the Falcons Panthers broadcasters. That's
- 39:17Speaker 3: on Fox number one. And number two, I don't know
- 39:20Speaker 3: where the hell they got those two broadcasters for the
- 39:23Speaker 3: Fox coverage game. But holy shit, are they the worst
- 39:27Speaker 3: team I've ever heard of? my and that's saying something
- 39:31Speaker 3: with how bad some nfl broadcast teams are but these
- 39:35Speaker 3: two guys they were where you don't as a broadcaster
- 39:39Speaker 3: you don't refer at least to me i don't know
- 39:42Speaker 3: about you nova i don't know about you brandon but
- 39:44Speaker 3: this is to me You don't refer to somebody by
- 39:48Speaker 3: their nickname. You don't say, oh, there's TMAC wide open.
- 39:52Speaker 1: You don't say that. You say, Young throws the ball
- 39:54Speaker 1: and it's McMillan wide open with the catch. You don't say,
- 39:58Speaker 1: and there's TMAC.
- 40:01Speaker 5: I like to interject by saying that my opinion on it,
- 40:03Speaker 5: you don't refer to them by the nickname first. You
- 40:06Speaker 5: refer to the name first, then you go nickname after.
- 40:08Speaker 5: You do that every single time. I don't care if
- 40:10Speaker 5: you said this name, full name before. You got to
- 40:12Speaker 5: do the nickname after.
- 40:14Speaker 4: Yep.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, look, I don't even remember the broadcasting duo,
- 40:21Speaker 3: but actually, I'm going to look it up real quick.
- 40:23Speaker 2: I just want to look it up.
- 40:25Speaker 5: I'm also going to go for real. I actually prefer
- 40:27Speaker 5: the CBS broadcasters more than the Fox broadcasters. I'm going
- 40:30Speaker 5: to be so 100 right there.
- 40:32Speaker 4: I'm liable to agree there.
- 40:34Speaker 2: All right, so week two, that game was.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Tim Brando and Matt Millen.
- 40:40Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I hate doing this on NFL broadcasts or
- 40:44Speaker 3: just broadcasts in general, but you guys have to be
- 40:48Speaker 3: some of the worst broadcasting teams I've ever heard in
- 40:52Speaker 3: my life. And again, I'm not saying this because I'm
- 40:55Speaker 3: an angry Falcons fan. I'm saying this as an angry
- 40:58Speaker 3: NFL fan.
- 41:00Speaker 2: You two suck at broadcasting.
- 41:03Speaker 4: I have my own broadcasting commentary to make later for
- 41:06Speaker 4: a certain game.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Oh, I think I do, too.
- 41:09Speaker 5: I think I know which one you're referring to. However,
- 41:11Speaker 5: I want to add on. Please, Fox, you had success
- 41:14Speaker 5: with Eric Collins with that Carolina game against Miami last year.
- 41:18Speaker 5: Please bring him into full time. You're going to do
- 41:20Speaker 5: wonders with Eric Collins.
- 41:23Speaker 2: That was the Charlotte Hornets announcer, right?
- 41:25Speaker 5: Yes. He called the Carolina Panthers game last year.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Yes, and he was great. He was excellent.
- 41:31Speaker 3: You get him with that Phillies guy who won the
- 41:35Speaker 3: right to announce like a radio inning for the Phillies
- 41:39Speaker 3: radio game. You get those two guys together, that could
- 41:41Speaker 3: be one of the best broadcasting teams out there.
- 41:44Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Fox, you got a gem
- 41:46Speaker 5: in Eric Collins. Bring him in. You tried him before
- 41:48Speaker 5: and he worked.
- 41:50Speaker 3: But getting back to my rant, because again, I'm having
- 41:55Speaker 3: fun with the rant of Then you bring in Jack Strand,
- 42:00Speaker 3: and the place erupts in cheers. I don't think I've
- 42:04Speaker 3: ever heard a stadium erupt for an undrafted free agent
- 42:08Speaker 3: out of Minnesota State, or just an undrafted free agent
- 42:11Speaker 3: for that matter, mind you. And his first career.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Pass, he throws it to Jahan Dotson, who it bounces
- 42:18Speaker 1: off of Jahan Dotson into Devin Lloyd's hands, and Devin
- 42:22Speaker 1: Lloyd returns it for a pick six. And by the way,
- 42:25Speaker 1: I'm also going to say this, even though The injury
- 42:27Speaker 1: report came out for Thursday's game, and Jawan Taylor was
- 42:32Speaker 1: fully healthy and fully practicing, even though it's a Thursday
- 42:34Speaker 1: night game, so it's walkthroughs more so than actual practice.
- 42:38Speaker 1: That player, number 52 on the Carolina Panthers. Brandon, I
- 42:42Speaker 1: say this with all due respect because you're a North
- 42:45Speaker 1: Carolina boy. Number 52 on the Carolina Panthers.
- 42:49Speaker 5: Fuck you!
- 42:52Speaker 3: Because who the fuck thinks that you were trying to, oh,
- 42:55Speaker 3: it was point of view. You're trying to avoid falling
- 42:57Speaker 3: on Devin Lloyd.
- 42:58Speaker 1: So you do the Randy Savage elbow drop onto the
- 43:02Speaker 1: one Taylor who is prone on the ground and you
- 43:06Speaker 1: hit him in his back and the recoil makes his
- 43:09Speaker 1: head bounce off the turf.
- 43:11Speaker 4: Now that's, that's you. Yeah.
- 43:14Speaker 5: Travis Gibson.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Travis Gibson.
- 43:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:17Speaker 4: T-R-E-V-I-S. It's really, really shitty. Um, first of all, if
- 43:22Speaker 4: there's one thing that we will never condone on this podcast,
- 43:26Speaker 4: it's intentional dirty plays like that. Like even if our
- 43:29Speaker 4: own played, even if our own team play, uh, players
- 43:32Speaker 4: on our own respective teams do it. I would hope
- 43:33Speaker 4: that we would all call that out because there's, there's
- 43:36Speaker 4: no place for it.
- 43:38Speaker 3: I don't even wish that on the, on a saints player.
- 43:42Speaker 3: And again, I'm not saying that as a Falcons fan.
- 43:44Speaker 3: I'm saying that as an NFL, like, because again, you
- 43:46Speaker 3: would think, oh, again, like we've said multiple times, oh,
- 43:49Speaker 3: Talon's a Falcons fan. He must hate the Saints. Again,
- 43:51Speaker 3: I don't hate the Saints. I hate them for the
- 43:54Speaker 3: division rivalry. I hate them for history. But at the
- 43:57Speaker 3: same time, no Falcons fan is going to wish for
- 44:01Speaker 3: a Saints player to be deliberately injured intentionally in a game.
- 44:05Speaker 3: And I'm pretty sure Saints fans would say the same.
- 44:07Speaker 3: I'm not going to speak for them, but I'm speaking
- 44:10Speaker 3: for me. that I do not wish for intentional injury.
- 44:14Speaker 3: But yes, Travis Gibson, take this to heart. Fuck you.
- 44:19Speaker 5: Turn over, turn blue.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Like your Carolina Panthers color, and drop over. Because you
- 44:28Speaker 3: deserve to lose your game check, you deserve to lose
- 44:31Speaker 3: your next game check, and you deserve to be suspended
- 44:34Speaker 3: for a game for what you did. That was bullshit. I,
- 44:41Speaker 3: and again, I didn't even notice that in the moment.
- 44:44Speaker 3: I found that out the day after the game, because again,
- 44:47Speaker 3: all I'm seeing is, oh, Jawan Taylor is questionable to
- 44:51Speaker 3: return with a back injury. I'm thinking, when did he
- 44:54Speaker 3: get hurt? But then again, I wasn't really caring at
- 44:58Speaker 3: that point. I was like, when did he get hurt?
- 45:00Speaker 3: Then you also factor in AJ Terrell got hurt on
- 45:03Speaker 3: that first drive. Now, I don't know where they came
- 45:06Speaker 3: up with a groin injury.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Again, I'm not trying.
- 45:09Speaker 3: To sugarcoat another man's body or anything like that, but...
- 45:15Speaker 3: I don't know where he got a groin injury. I
- 45:17Speaker 3: thought when he went down on that first drive, I
- 45:20Speaker 3: thought he was going after his left shoulder because to me,
- 45:23Speaker 3: I would have sat week two after the week one
- 45:27Speaker 3: game where, yes, he got away with a DPI on
- 45:30Speaker 3: DK Metcalf, but he paid the price because he banged
- 45:33Speaker 3: his shoulder on the grass at Akershire Stadium. So to me,
- 45:37Speaker 3: I would have sat out. on Sunday if I was
- 45:40Speaker 3: AJ Terrell. He didn't. He got hurt. He is now
- 45:43Speaker 3: on IR. Fantastic!
- 45:47Speaker 4: You want to know what else is fantastic on a
- 45:49Speaker 4: much lighter note?
- 45:51Speaker 3: What's that?
- 45:53Speaker 4: And this is just going to kind of add fuel
- 45:54Speaker 4: to Talon's fire already, right? Oh boy.
- 45:58Speaker 5: Oh boy. I have something too if I'm saving it
- 46:02Speaker 5: for later.
- 46:03Speaker 4: So I would just like to reference... Referring back to
- 46:09Speaker 4: the performances of Cooper Rush and Jack Strand, where Cooper
- 46:15Speaker 4: Rush has a rating of 32.6 and Jack Strand's 35.1.
- 46:23Speaker 4: I'm going to throw this number out there to you. 39.6.
- 46:32Speaker 4: Do you know what that number represents?
- 46:34Speaker 5: Average QBR for the first two weeks?
- 46:37Speaker 4: Nope. 39.6 is the rating that a team would have
- 46:43Speaker 4: if they spiked the ball into the ground every play.
- 46:49Speaker 5: That's crazy. And you want to know the worst part
- 46:54Speaker 5: about this? Everyone in the NFL gets to suffer because
- 46:56Speaker 5: the Falcons have three free-time games coming up. Oh, no.
- 47:01Speaker 3: Wait, what?
- 47:01Speaker 4: Are we serious now, actually? Hold on.
- 47:03Speaker 5: Yes, we are serious. They have Thursday night against the Packers.
- 47:06Speaker 5: They got a Monday night game against the Saints. And
- 47:08Speaker 5: then me and Talon are meeting up in week five.
- 47:12Speaker 4: Yep. No. More games I'm just not going to watch. Awesome.
- 47:17Speaker 4: What do you mean?
- 47:18Speaker 5: You're going to watch a week five game with us.
- 47:20Speaker 2: No, you are required to watch those games with us.
- 47:24Speaker 4: Jesus Christ.
- 47:26Speaker 3: But again, again, Evidence of that. Irrelevant of that. Because, again,
- 47:35Speaker 3: this is also the second time in the last two
- 47:38Speaker 3: years that the Panthers have beaten the Falcons by at
- 47:41Speaker 3: least 30 points.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Again, I can live with that.
- 47:45Speaker 4: I can.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Hey, at least it wasn't 34-0 again.
- 47:47Speaker 5: No, it was only 30-0.
- 47:49Speaker 3: It was a 28-3.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Okay, buddy. What? Can we move on?
- 47:58Speaker 3: But, hey, look, it might be smooth sailing because, as
- 48:04Speaker 3: it was announced yesterday, Michael Penix Jr.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Is starting for the Falcons again.
- 48:10Speaker 3: According to the reports, because he had a press conference
- 48:13Speaker 3: earlier today, he was ramping up his workouts to, you know,
- 48:19Speaker 3: feel comfortable because, again, He was saying that he wasn't
- 48:23Speaker 3: ready physically. There were a couple of hurdles. The hurdle
- 48:26Speaker 3: was apparently he was doing some really strenuous workout, and
- 48:30Speaker 3: he woke– so this would lead up to week one.
- 48:33Speaker 3: He woke up after doing the strenuous workout, and he
- 48:35Speaker 3: felt sore in the leg. So that's why he didn't
- 48:38Speaker 3: suit up for the Pittsburgh game. Apparently, on Saturday, he
- 48:43Speaker 3: did the exact same workout, maybe a.
- 48:45Speaker 5: Little bit harder.
- 48:46Speaker 3: I don't know. This is according to reporting by Falcons Media.
- 48:50Speaker 3: that he did the exact same workout and he was fine.
- 48:55Speaker 3: And he felt no discomfort. He didn't feel sore. So
- 49:00Speaker 3: he told Stefanski, I guess before the game on Sunday
- 49:06Speaker 3: or probably even after, I'm ready. I'm good. Let's go.
- 49:11Speaker 2: So now he gets to play.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Now we actually get to see the offense open up because,
- 49:18Speaker 3: I mean, yes, teams will still put six or seven
- 49:20Speaker 3: guys in the box and i know i just did
- 49:21Speaker 3: it six seven because.
- 49:23Speaker 4: I i mean i wasn't gonna say you just kind
- 49:25Speaker 4: of did it for.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Us yeah i know i know but but again let's
- 49:29Speaker 3: be real when you have cooper fucking rushes your quarterback
- 49:33Speaker 3: it's very easy to stack the box against bajon Now
- 49:37Speaker 3: that you actually have a player who can stretch the
- 49:40Speaker 3: field vertically and get those passes to Pitts and Dotson
- 49:45Speaker 3: and London and Zaccheaus and Zachariah and Bajon and Brian
- 49:52Speaker 3: Robinson and Austin Hooper and... Uh, Chris Blair, even though
- 49:59Speaker 3: he's like so far down the depth chart, it's not
- 50:01Speaker 3: even funny. And as, and if we can also get
- 50:03Speaker 3: Charlie Warner out of the fucking backfield on a blitz pickup, cause.
- 50:08Speaker 2: It's not working. It's not working.
- 50:10Speaker 4: Uh, I always forget Atlanta has Hooper.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:17Speaker 4: He is. Yeah.
- 50:18Speaker 3: We said, yeah, we signed him back after he left
- 50:20Speaker 3: new England.
- 50:22Speaker 4: Yeah. He didn't really do a lot for us there.
- 50:25Speaker 3: No no he did not but i i yeah no
- 50:29Speaker 3: though i i think that i think that was a
- 50:30Speaker 3: good rant from me don't you guys think that was
- 50:34Speaker 3: one like 25 minutes or something.
- 50:36Speaker 4: Yeah that was a long rant.
- 50:39Speaker 2: I mean i i i deserved.
- 50:41Speaker 4: It after that but look i'm just saying we've been
- 50:44Speaker 4: recording for 50 minutes they were just we completed like
- 50:47Speaker 4: what three games.
- 50:49Speaker 5: Yeah let's get a number four let's get a number four.
- 50:55Speaker 3: Oh, by the way, before we get into this one, Nova,
- 50:57Speaker 3: I do also want to point out, because we are
- 50:58Speaker 3: going to talk about this game, Pittsburgh, New England. Out
- 51:02Speaker 3: of the 64 games played, the Pittsburgh Steelers week, I
- 51:07Speaker 3: don't know if it was either the week one or
- 51:08Speaker 3: the week two game, they had the 61st worst, sorry,
- 51:14Speaker 3: the second to worst offensive performance in the NFL through
- 51:19Speaker 3: two weeks. The Falcons had the third worst and the worst, right?
- 51:24Speaker 5: I also think the Falcons have no red zone plays too, right?
- 51:27Speaker 3: Yes!
- 51:29Speaker 5: Perfect.
- 51:30Speaker 4: Lovely. Love that cherry on top. Speaking of lack of
- 51:34Speaker 4: red zone plays. Speaking of lack of red zone plays.
- 51:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I was going to point it out.
- 51:38Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaking of no red zone plays, zero
- 51:42Speaker 4: is the number that Pittsburgh had for red zone plays
- 51:46Speaker 4: against New England because we love to see it. Get
- 51:51Speaker 4: to work today. I'm wearing my Patriots jersey. See my
- 51:54Speaker 4: HR lady. She's sitting at the front desk. He just
- 51:57Speaker 4: looks at my jersey and rolls her eyes. I said, Brittany,
- 51:59Speaker 4: what's going on? She goes, y'all beat us on Sunday.
- 52:04Speaker 4: I'm like, you're damn right we did. Patriots won this
- 52:08Speaker 4: game 20-3. No thanks to Drake May, who had yet
- 52:13Speaker 4: another subpar performance. Granted, 14 for 22, 208. Passing-wise, fairly average.
- 52:23Speaker 4: One pick, no TDs. Man, just through two weeks, has
- 52:28Speaker 4: not really looked good. He really hasn't. He did okay
- 52:33Speaker 4: in the first half against Seattle last week, but we
- 52:36Speaker 4: discussed that last week. Outside of this, this was the
- 52:40Speaker 4: Patriots' defense's game to lose. Because we made Aaron Rodgers
- 52:48Speaker 4: our bitch. So, for reference... Aaron Rodgers goes 23 for 39,
- 52:56Speaker 4: 187 passing yards, one interception, no scores. We sacked Aaron
- 53:01Speaker 4: Rodgers four times for a total yard lossage of 43.
- 53:08Speaker 4: That puts their overall passing total to 144 yards. On
- 53:13Speaker 4: the same page now, right? We held Aaron Rodgers in
- 53:16Speaker 4: the Pittsburgh Steelers to 144 passing yards. Their highest rusher?
- 53:21Speaker 4: was Jalen Warren with 43 rushing yards. We held them
- 53:28Speaker 4: to a total of 91 rushing yards. This was a
- 53:33Speaker 4: Patriots defense that I wanted to see against Seattle. I
- 53:38Speaker 4: don't know where they were. I don't know why they
- 53:40Speaker 4: left in the second half of the Seattle game, but
- 53:43Speaker 4: I'm glad they made it back, especially against Aaron Rodgers, because,
- 53:45Speaker 4: God Almighty, we sacked that man into oblivion. Because he
- 53:49Speaker 4: fumbled twice, and the last time he fumbled, we ran
- 53:51Speaker 4: it back for six. I'll take that all day, every day.
- 53:55Speaker 4: Ramondre Stevens, I'm sorry, Trayvon Henderson, pretty much the only
- 53:59Speaker 4: bright spot in the offense. And I know I talk
- 54:02Speaker 4: shit about him. Romeo Dobbs was our leading receiver. Three receptions,
- 54:07Speaker 4: 96 yards on four targets. I still think the man's
- 54:12Speaker 4: kind of trash. Because he fumbled as well. That's fine. Whatever. Overall, offensively,
- 54:20Speaker 4: The Patriots stunk.
- 54:25Speaker 5: I also want to point out that I think the
- 54:27Speaker 5: Patriots and the Steelers are like the second and third
- 54:30Speaker 5: worst each.
- 54:33Speaker 4: They have not been good. Even though Aaron Rodgers had
- 54:37Speaker 4: 187 passing yards, not including the sacks, Drake May had
- 54:43Speaker 4: 208 passing yards, but he was sacked three times for
- 54:45Speaker 4: 17 yards. So 191 to 141, if you want to
- 54:49Speaker 4: break it down to that manner. Trayvon Henderson, glad he's back.
- 54:53Speaker 4: 816 carries, 76 yards in one score. Awesome. Great. Lovely. Whatever.
- 55:01Speaker 4: We had one interception for 11 yards, and then we
- 55:03Speaker 4: turned around and had a scoop and score there at
- 55:04Speaker 4: the end of the game.
- 55:05Speaker 5: It's fine.
- 55:06Speaker 4: Our kicker is mid. Two for three on field goals.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Made both of his XPs. No biggie deal. You know.
- 55:14Speaker 4: Kick a fucking ball, I guess, better next time. Could
- 55:17Speaker 4: have won 23-3. That would have been better. I like
- 55:20Speaker 4: the three extra points. Overall, the Patriots offense is still
- 55:24Speaker 4: kind of subpar. We could be better if Drake May
- 55:28Speaker 4: turn around and get some shit together. I don't know
- 55:30Speaker 4: if he's having a Super Bowl hangover or what have
- 55:33Speaker 4: you just from making it to the Super Bowl, but
- 55:35Speaker 4: we're not looking like Super Bowl contenders. I would like
- 55:38Speaker 4: to look like Super Bowl contenders, so if we could
- 55:40Speaker 4: please get our shit together and actually have a decent
- 55:42Speaker 4: passing game. and actually look like we know how to
- 55:44Speaker 4: throw the ball like we did when we played for
- 55:46Speaker 4: the Tar Heels, that would be freaking phenomenal. Because, like,
- 55:51Speaker 4: can you just imagine Bill Belichick with Drake Mendoza? That
- 55:53Speaker 4: would be kind of cool. As somebody who's a Tar
- 55:56Speaker 4: Heels fan in college basketball, you know, seeing Bill Belichick
- 56:00Speaker 4: coach our football team is really cool. I think it's great.
- 56:04Speaker 4: It's got a lot of good publicity. They still kind
- 56:07Speaker 4: of suck, but, you know, it is what it is. No. No.
- 56:11Speaker 4: because that's a different tangent, though. Realistically, the Patriots offense
- 56:17Speaker 4: really just needs to step it up because the defense
- 56:20Speaker 4: is here to play, but clearly Drake May and the
- 56:23Speaker 4: offense is not.
- 56:24Speaker 5: I have to do want to point out something else
- 56:29Speaker 5: really funny. Wasn't there like a 4 from 40 or
- 56:30Speaker 5: something that you shared with us?
- 56:32Speaker 4: Yes.
- 56:33Speaker 5: Yes.
- 56:33Speaker 4: I'm so glad you mentioned that because I totally forgot
- 56:36Speaker 4: about it. I was sitting here watching a game, kind
- 56:38Speaker 4: of keep a track with it on ESPN as well.
- 56:40Speaker 4: And there was a 4th and 43. No, it was
- 56:43Speaker 4: originally a 4th and 43, and then it wound up
- 56:46Speaker 4: being like a 4th and 49 off a penalty. And
- 56:49Speaker 4: I'm sitting over here like, yes, this is what I
- 56:52Speaker 4: like to see in defense game to play. No, it
- 56:55Speaker 4: was one of those situations where we wound up causing
- 56:58Speaker 4: a fumble from sacking Rodgers, and it was one of
- 57:00Speaker 4: those hot potato fumbles where nobody could seem to catch
- 57:03Speaker 4: the ball. And it just wound up going so far
- 57:07Speaker 4: backwards that Pittsburgh eventually recovered on it, and it was
- 57:09Speaker 4: like 4th and 43. Then it was another penalty for,
- 57:12Speaker 4: it was some, like, offensive holding or something like that.
- 57:16Speaker 4: And they were just so far deep. I was like,
- 57:17Speaker 4: you know what? This is fine. Push the bat further.
- 57:20Speaker 4: It's not like they're going to do anything anyway, considering
- 57:23Speaker 4: their punter punted eight times for 385 yards. I mean,
- 57:28Speaker 4: he had more yards than the total of the entire
- 57:31Speaker 4: Pittsburgh team. So... I'm just saying that, you know, if
- 57:37Speaker 4: there was MVP for punter, it looks like Prince Pittsburgh
- 57:40Speaker 4: has got the lead on that one.
- 57:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I remember we were watching the one
- 57:46Speaker 3: o'clock slate and then we just got that message, Nova,
- 57:49Speaker 3: from Brandon. It was just, what the, like.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Fourth and 43?
- 57:55Speaker 3: Like, what the hell happened? And then you watched the
- 57:58Speaker 3: play happen in real time and you're just like, what,
- 58:02Speaker 3: can nobody pick up the ball? And evidently the answer
- 58:05Speaker 3: was no.
- 58:06Speaker 5: Until Troy Faltano. Until Troy Faltano.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:11Speaker 4: No one can catch the ball. I'm like, that's fine.
- 58:13Speaker 4: That's fine. I would prefer to have recovered it. But
- 58:15Speaker 4: that's fine. Also, not to cut you off, Noah, because
- 58:18Speaker 4: I also did just remember this one as well. You know,
- 58:20Speaker 4: we did lose our right guard to a really, really,
- 58:25Speaker 4: really bad injury.
- 58:28Speaker 5: I refuse to watch it because I know how graphic
- 58:30Speaker 5: it is.
- 58:31Speaker 4: I don't recommend watching it if you If you have
- 58:35Speaker 4: a bad stomach, very big, bold trigger warning. Disclaimer, do
- 58:38Speaker 4: not watch that clip. Because it's gruesome. It's very gruesome.
- 58:45Speaker 4: He's 100% done for the season. Yeah, he's not coming
- 58:50Speaker 4: back this season. I'd be surprised if he comes back
- 58:52Speaker 4: at the start of the next season, honestly. Because that leg,
- 58:55Speaker 4: they called it a right leg fracture. But I'm sorry,
- 58:58Speaker 4: that is not a right leg fracture. That is a
- 59:00Speaker 4: right leg. My thing might as well have been severed.
- 59:03Speaker 4: um that that break was bad yeah.
- 59:07Speaker 3: I mean prayers up to uh on when new for
- 59:12Speaker 3: for that but yeah no that was that that was
- 59:16Speaker 3: just horrible of an injury man um but yeah moving
- 59:22Speaker 3: on let's uh let now that we've got the good
- 59:25Speaker 3: games out of the way we can run through a
- 59:27Speaker 3: couple of these other games um How about Cincinnati Houston?
- 59:35Speaker 4: Can we not talk about this? No, we've got to
- 59:39Speaker 4: talk about this one, Nova. From what I said last week, no,
- 59:42Speaker 4: we've got to talk about this one.
- 59:44Speaker 5: I know, but it's like, can we just stop glazing
- 59:46Speaker 5: the Bengals? I hate this. It's like the only thing
- 59:49Speaker 5: I got to say for right now is that like
- 59:51Speaker 5: CJ Stroud played a great game. Nobody else did. Apparently
- 59:56Speaker 5: I wouldn't.
- 59:56Speaker 4: Even call CJ Stroud's game great because he If you're
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: a QB and you're forced to throw the ball 55
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: fucking times, what the hell is the rest of your
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: team doing?
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: Good question. Like, what happened to David Montgomery? What happened
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: to Woody Marks? And then, where the hell is the
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: Texans defense?
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Well, let's be real, though. The Texans defense this time,
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: they only gave up 20. That's kind of.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: It's an improvement.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, let's be real.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: That was kind of what the whole thing was about
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: the Texans' defense.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: I mean, they really weren't giving up more than 30.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: It was the.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Dalton Schultz show.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: This time they only gave up 20. And 14 of
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: them were to Jamar Chase, who had one of the
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: craziest circus spinning around like a ballerina during a rendition
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: of Swan Lake.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: For a touchdown.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: I don't know how he caught that ball and stayed
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: inbounds all in one swoop.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: Yeah, it is. It comes to show you as well
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: how much of an impact Dexter Lawrence has just been
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: on that Bengals defense. Honestly, they've done a really good
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: job fixing that defense. I just hate it, personally speaking,
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: because it's a rivalry and everything. I hate this, not
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: because the Bengals are 2-0. They deserve it. I really
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: hope that they continue to be this good, but We
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: got to talk about this. Why are the Texans having
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: back-to-back years of slow starts? Are they going to go
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: 0-3 again, just go on a massive win streak? Is
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: that their plan?
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: Maybe?
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: I mean, their next three game stretch is Colts-Cowboys-Titans, so... Maybe? Possibly?
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: I wish we knew somebody's going 0-3.
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: That's like.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: A hundred percent.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: Somebody is going. Oh, and three in that slate, but
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: you know, who's not going to be. Oh, and three,
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: both the green Bay Packers and the New York jets,
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: because they played an overtime.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: We've got two straight weeks of an NFC North team
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: going to overtime and the NFC North wins the overtime game.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: No, that Packers game was ugly as hell.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: It really was.
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: Can I just say, I perfectly, I perfectly predicted the
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: way that game would go.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: I mean, he did, Brandon.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: He did.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: I mean, he did.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean. But, you know, it was ugly. I mean,
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: the other thing to note is that apparently the Packers
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: have one of the worst pass blocking offensive lines in
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: the league right now.
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Jordan Love just can't catch a break.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: He can't catch a break. They can't really run the
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: ball because Josh Jacobs isn't there. Micah Parsons isn't there.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: They just lost Jaden Reed.
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: They did just lose. That was scary as hell, man.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: You never want to see the backboard. I mean, look,
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: we talked about it with Brandon. It's one thing when
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: you see the cart come out for a player. It's
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: another when you see the backboard and the gurney and
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: the ambulance.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: But yeah, it was not a pretty game. I did
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: allude to the fact that they also see this rather
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: for New Jersey, a place where the Packers, for some reason,
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: never play well in. And I did call that they
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: would win a very ugly game at the last minute.
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: Although I think that's also the blame for Aaron Glenn,
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: because apparently due to reports on social media that I've
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: been seeing, he didn't know about the play clock. He
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: didn't want to try to win the game. He wanted
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: to play for overtime. How is this guy still a
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: head coach?
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: Because he's a nice guy.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: Sure. I mean, that's our reasoning behind it.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Sure.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: That's the only argument I can come up with, Brandon.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: He's a nice guy. And I would know. I'm a
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: nice guy myself. Minus that rant from earlier.
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: You know what they say about people who brag about
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: being nice guys?
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: We finished last. Don't remind me.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: I was going to say they're usually not nice guys.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: But I mean, we'll put that spin on it. No,
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: I'm kidding. Oh, man.
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: But yeah, the game was ugly. I mean, it says
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: something when Jordan Love is outplayed by Geno Smith.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: Geno Smith's not really a bad QB, though.
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: Yeah, he's redesigned himself.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: Yeah, no, he did really well.
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: The issue was just like the Raiders squad was not
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: good last year.
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: No, they really weren't.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: That was like that kind of downside of Geno. But, well,
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: that's neither here nor there. Where do we go? Oh,
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: I know where we go next. Eagles-Titans. And I bring
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: this up because I said it would be funny if
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: the Titans would win this game, and they nearly did.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: Oh, do you mind if I take this one? Yes.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Please do.
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: Okay, awesome. Yeah, no, because it's something else for me
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: because I really hate Philadelphia. I'm sitting over here going,
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: Are the Eagles really playing a trap game right now?
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: Because how the hell? I'm over here watching the fantasy
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: scores and whatnot. You know, one of the lead trainer
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: for the place that I work, he is a Philadelphia fan. Like,
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: he is from Pittsburgh. Or not Pittsburgh. He's from Philadelphia. And, like,
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: he came to work today wearing a Philadelphia jersey. I
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: don't know. I keep wanting to say Pittsburgh. He came
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: to work wearing a Philadelphia jersey. So I was like,
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: all right, cool. And, you know, talking to him, I
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: was like, dang, your boy Jalen about let me down
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: until he did it. Because Tennessee had that game locked up.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: And I'm sitting here going, this probably wouldn't be the
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: ugliest losses I've ever seen Philadelphia potentially take. And then
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: they let Jalen Hurts slide into the end zone with
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: a touchdown. Well, not himself, but he literally slipped one
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: right there into the end zone with nine seconds left
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: to play. And you have every Tennessee fan there in
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: Nashville had their heart broken at the last nine seconds
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: of the game. And, man, Cam Moore, 13 for 20,
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: 183 yards, no scores.
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: Didn't he get a rushing touchdown?
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: Huh?
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: Didn't Ward get a rushing touchdown?
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: Ward had two rushing touchdowns. He had four carries for
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: seven yards and two touchdowns. So he was their red
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: zone threat.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: It says a lot about the Titans.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: It says a lot about the Titans. It really does.
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: And I'm sitting over here going, what the heck? And,
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: you know, and honestly, Tennessee almost did half the game.
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: One had a money hooker. Whenever he picked off Jalen
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: had just a hair, tiny bit of extra space because
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: he took that ball. 92 yards. He takes that ball
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: the rest of the way. Philadelphia still doesn't win this game.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: It was a couple of yards difference of Philadelphia losing
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: that game at least 27-24. Saquon got hurt, too.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: I think I heard from you, too.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: Yep, Saquon got hurt. I think it was a hamstring,
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: if I'm not mistaken, because there went one of my
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: fantasy teams. I was like, oh. Man, no, it was
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: a neck and shoulder stinger. So, you know, I mean,
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: Devontae Smith for Philadelphia, 10 receptions on 13 targets, 117
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: yards in a TD. They couldn't stop Devontae Smith. Just
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: like they couldn't stop the last nine second TD. But,
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: you know, I digress. It was a very ugly game
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: for Philadelphia.
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I was about to say, what is this more
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: indicative of? The fact that Philadelphia can't finish out their
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: opponents again? I've been hearing rumors that their O-line's not
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: been good this year. Or is this more of a
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: negative that Tennessee's poised for the upset like the Cardinals
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: did last week?
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: I think this was more along the fact that Philadelphia
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: just played down to the level of their opponent. I
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: think that's what this was. Um, because I think their
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: own line is definitely not the best on the league,
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: but they definitely played down the tendencies level. They definitely
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: played a trap game. Um, and they almost, you know,
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: they almost paid the price for it.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: I mean, it's not even, it's not even just that though, Brandon.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: I mean, yes, it was also a trap game, but
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: it was also a hot game.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: Oh, it was incredibly hot there.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: I mean, I saw 95 with a heat index of
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: 105 in Nashville at kickoff time. And apparently, Nova, that
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: wasn't it. Apparently, the field temperature got to 156 degrees. Like,
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: you saw video of the water people for the team.
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: Wearing the water bottle on the bottom of the cleats.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: Well, not only that, with those cleats, because the heat
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: index was 105 there in Nashville, and it did get
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: to 157 on the field, to the fact where after
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: the game, Nick Sirianni needed an IV for fluids. Not
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: only that, but the heat on the field was so intense,
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: cleats began to melt. So it wasn't just that. I
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: do think that's definitely indicative of it, but outside of that,
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: I do think Philadelphia genuinely did play down. But it
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: was incredibly hot because right now, and I say this
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: as someone who is actually going to be in Tennessee
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: in a week, week and a half, is that there's
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: a giant heat dome over the entire state of Tennessee
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: right now, where they're just going to be sitting in
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: like 90 to a hundred degree temperatures while the rest
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: of us are turning around and getting the, you know,
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: the upcoming fall weather. Too bad.
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: Too, too bad. There's their new stadium, their new spiffy
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: climate controlled stadium won't open until next year. But yeah,
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: Speaking of teams that played, I mean, I'll say it
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: because they were playing down to their competition. It's a
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: combination of that and a combination of the bad weather.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: Let's talk about Minnesota and Chicago.
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: Oh, yes.
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: Nova, lead us in.
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: Lead us in on Minnesota and Chicago.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: Something else.
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: Sure. I'll do this one. Everyone's talking about the Bears
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: having a high-flying offense.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: Yeah. What happened? What happened to that one?
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: Where did that go?
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. You want to be the highest scoring
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: offense in NFL history, and you were on pace for
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: that after one week.
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: Exactly. And, well, I guess the offense doesn't matter when
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: you have a defense. Led by Brian Flores.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: I mean, look, let's be real. Brian Flores' defenses, they
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: have been no.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Small feat in and of itself. They've been very good.
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: Again, and also, I mean, you know that a game
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: is bad when on a turnover for your team, your
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: defense starts breaking into the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse hot dog dance.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Like, look, that was all my timeline was on Sunday.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: If it wasn't people complaining about the Falcons game like
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: I did, it was just seeing that fricking dance and
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: hearing that song. And I'm like, look, I had to
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: work with that. I'm not going to say stupid song
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: because again, it's a kid's song. It's for a kid's show,
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: but I had to work with that stupid ass song
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: when I was working for the minor league baseball team.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Cause they decided to start doing that during tail wagon Tuesday.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: They started doing, doing a hot dog thing where the
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: mascot came out and we were, and they were, it
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: was dancing to, well, it was a giant fish dancing
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: to a hot dog song and throwing hot dogs into
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: the crowd of 40 people because who the fuck wanted
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: to go to a minor league baseball game in Tampa
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: at six o'clock at night when it was 90 degrees out.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: Your guess is as good as mine.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: I'll give you the answer, me, because I worked there
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: for nine years and had a great time doing it.
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: See, that's good.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: Yeah, the best part was the year after I leave,
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: they're in the freaking championship game, and they lose. To
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: the point where they have a farm report, and I
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: know I'm throwing on a tangent here. Whoever did the
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: farm report, yeah, the championship ended on a Wednesday. The
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: audio recording said that the championship ended on a Thursday.
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: I will take a sip of Barks root beer as
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: you guys figure out how a recording could be so wrong.
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: You know what was also wrong? Apparently Caleb Williams' overreaction
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: to what we thought was a career... What the.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: Hell is that? What was that?
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: That was my bad. That's what that one was. Continue.
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: Don't mind me. Don't mind me falling. Don't mind me
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: actually opening up an ESPN video and just hitting an
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: ad at the very start of it. Just ignore me.
- 1:13:47Speaker 5: Wait, what happened to talking about the Vikings and the Bears? Okay,
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: let me continue. Caleb Williams, apparently we all thought was
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: a career-ending injury to Apparently, we now know it was
- 1:13:58Speaker 5: a hamstring injury, but that didn't help because Tyson Bajan
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: still couldn't break through that Brian Horace defense.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, look. And also, I'm just going to
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: say this about Caleb Williams' injury. Look, again, when it happened,
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: you saw the way that the injury happened. Yes, it
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: was bad weather. Yes, he slipped. Yes, he didn't brace himself.
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: But....
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: At first glance, you watch that injury and you're thinking,
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: and again, it's not even just the injury, it's the
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: way that he reacted. He was, you heard the audible groan.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: You heard a silence in Soldier Field that hasn't been
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: heard since the Bears said we're.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Moving to Indiana. And he went on a cart.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: He went off on a cart. So naturally, we're all
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: predisposed to think the worst. But then you start hearing
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: the reports that, okay, maybe it's not as serious as
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: it's going to be. And maybe they dodged a bullet.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Again, we.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: I mean, Nova, you thought it was Achilles.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: I thought it was ACL. Brandon thought it was yes.
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: And then....
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: And then we come to find out that it's hamstring.
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: Watch that allude to the Achilles.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: Technically, ACL is the precursor to the Achilles from all
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: previous history, but.
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: That doesn't change the fact that the Vikings just went
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: out there and just completely 180'd the Bears. Ben Johnson
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: wanted a high-flying offense. Hey, guess what? How do you
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: always score three points? I mean, all of you had
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: a few little blocks, but still. Yeah.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: How?
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Honestly, Brandon, I think you're going to have to help
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: me with that one.
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: Man, I don't even have an answer for that one.
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: I don't.
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: But I can tell you who does have an answer
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: for Caleb Williams' injury. A nice friend of ours by
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: the name of Antonio Brown. Oh, my God.
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: What did CTSBN have to say now?
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: He said, I'm paraphrasing, but he said it was for
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: the hamstring and the car. All that for an injury,
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: and he called him a fag.
- 1:16:24Speaker 5: Oh, my God. Why are we using slurs?
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: It's because it's Antonio Brown.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: Look, I think we can say right now the three
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: of us do not condone certain words and slurs or whatever.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: I literally paraphrased exactly what he said on his Twitter account.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: And again, I'm paraphrasing Antonio Brown. So you can't really
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: come after me for paraphrasing a jackass.
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: You want to know who else has a jackass? Todd Bowles.
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: Let's talk Browns Buccaneers.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: Oh, Brent.
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: I actually want to lead this off because I alluded
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: to last week during our predictions that the Browns happened
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: to be able to pull an early upset against an
- 1:17:09Speaker 5: NFC team. We all thought this wouldn't be the week.
- 1:17:13Speaker 5: But the Browns just said, want to see me do
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: it again? Wait, wait, wait, Brenton.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: Brenton, he did it. He finally did it.
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: My excuse for this....
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: No, but.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: He just did it.
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: I don't give a fuck about Deshaun Watson. My excuse...
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: Let's be fair, though. The Cleveland-Tampa Bay game wound up
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: being on, like, a two-and-a-half-hour rain delay. Which I ended.
- 1:17:44Speaker 5: Up asking Talon about because he's in the area.
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: Because, like... I don't know if the entirety of that
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: area wound up seeing it, but it wound up, it's
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: made its way up here. And it's actually going to
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: hit my area here shortly.
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: It is a bad storm. So for them to have
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: been delayed that long, yeah, sure. I genuinely think this
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: gave the rest that was much needed to the Cleveland
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: team to kind of help them out here. Otherwise, I
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: genuinely don't know that they would have won this game.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: I mean.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: And again, I will bring up that.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: Yes, I was in the area of Tampa in the
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: sense that we had storms in my area, but I mean,
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: they were pretty quick. I mean, it was, I mean, yeah,
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: there was some thunder and I had a, I had
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: to play with the puppies. I had to play with,
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: with Juno and, tequila because they were absolutely petrified. I mean,
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: what do you expect? I baby Juno because he's a
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: husky and Tequila's a chihuahua. So it doesn't take much
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: for a chihuahua to start being afraid of anything.
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: But.
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: Uh, yeah, no.
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: I mean, I, I saw that, uh, like.
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: I was watching Twitter and I was watching the game
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: and then out of nowhere, like they just stopped playing.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: I'm like, wait, why did they stop playing? Which is
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: a legitimate thing. Like, because again, I've worked in minor
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: league baseball. I worked at an outdoor baseball stadium. If
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: there was any semblance of lightning from cloud to ground,
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: mind you, this is another thing that some people don't
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: know about those weather alerts. Anytime lightning is in the area,
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: it is only if it's cloud to ground. If it's
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: cloud to cloud, where like you see almost like a
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: heat lightning stroke or whatever, those ones don't.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: Count towards a weather delay.
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: The bolt must strike the ground.
- 1:19:50Speaker 4: And.
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: evidently there were bolts that were striking the ground within
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: 10 miles or six months. I don't even remember the
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: freaking distance. I think it's 10 miles max or something
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: like that.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: But anytime it happens in that dome of 10 mile radius,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. It literally does not matter if you
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: are at 29 minutes and 45 seconds.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: So you have 15 seconds before that weather alert clears.
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: If there's a bolt that comes and it's clad to
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: ground and it's inside that dome, back to 30 minutes
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: for you.
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: And.
- 1:20:30Speaker 5: Water delays aside, how... I'm still flabbergasted that this was
- 1:20:35Speaker 5: the game that I wish I would have been able
- 1:20:37Speaker 5: to predict because, like, Oh, my goodness. Like, where's Baker?
- 1:20:43Speaker 5: Why is Baker Mayfield all of a sudden fumbling the ball?
- 1:20:46Speaker 5: Where is Vita Vea? Where's Ruben Bain? Why was Buck here?
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: The only thing that's worth relevant on that Bucks team.
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: I mean, look, I hate Deshaun Watson, but the fact
- 1:20:57Speaker 5: that he's making Denzel Boston, the rookie, look really good.
- 1:21:01Speaker 5: I'm impressed by.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: You literally stunned him. You stunned him speechless right there, Nova.
- 1:21:14Speaker 5: I just care more about Denzel Boston more than I
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: do about Deshaun Watson. I care more about Denzel Boston.
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: Fuck Deshaun Watson. By the way, he may have the
- 1:21:27Speaker 4: treatment that people think Caleb Williams gets. Anyway, hi. No.
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: I will never be a Deshaun Watson supporter. I don't
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: care if the man has a perfect fucking passer rating
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: and has like a 6 TD game. I don't care.
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: I will die on this hill. I think he's a
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: trash QB. That being said, 24 for 30, 238 yards,
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: two scores. Tampa Bay choked this game. And they choked
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: it hard.
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: I think the better question to ask is when you
- 1:21:59Speaker 5: guys are calling, like choking during the predictions, be like,
- 1:22:03Speaker 5: Todd Bowles should be fired if he loses his game.
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: How is Todd Bowles still employed?
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: Um, that's a good question. And look, I'll also say this.
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: Cause I mean, Nova, you brought it up. Like where's
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: Ruben Bain? Where's Vita Vea? I mean, they were touting
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: how great Alex Anzalone was signing him from the Detroit lions.
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: And on that Denzel Boston, 55 yard touchdown, Anzalone took
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: out his own two guys, which allowed Boston to do
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: that spin move and get up the sideline for the touchdown.
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: And, and also again, like, like we were talking about, um,
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: when we're talking about like just, uh, comedy guys that
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: we like watching, uh, this guy, his name is Dre Wallen.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: I guess he's like big on Tik TOK or whatever.
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: He did a whole skit about this game and, uh,
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: his whole thing with the Cleveland Browns and we're the
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Cleveland Browns.
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: I love him. That guy is awesome.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: You're the Cleveland Browns.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I know you're the Cleveland Browns.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Punt.
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: He came up on my Facebook reels out of nowhere
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: and I was just like, oh my god, this is
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: fucking hilarious.
- 1:23:22Speaker 4: Yeah, that guy is amazing.
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's like, he was just like, and we're
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: the Cleveland Browns.
- 1:23:30Speaker 7: And it's like, we punt, we punt, we kick a
- 1:23:33Speaker 7: field goal. What's a field goal? Oh, wait, we got
- 1:23:37Speaker 7: one of those touchdown thingies. Oh my God, we lost
- 1:23:41Speaker 7: to the Cleveland Browns. Wait, we're the Cleveland Browns.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: I know you are.
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: We won a game.
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: But....
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: Again, getting back to the Todd Bowles thing, I mean, yeah.
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: How do I put it delicately right now? Tampa Bay fans,
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: I know you are calling for Todd Bowles' job. I
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: don't blame you for calling for Todd Bowles' job. I'm
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: usually one of those people, regardless of a team, that
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: tries not to call for a person's job. But now
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: you guys are seeing what Raheem Morris went through last
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: year because Atlanta had a... Because keep in mind, 2024,
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: Atlanta had a 6-2 record, and then they finished 8-9.
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: And the team kept their head coach, and then Atlanta
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: last year finished 8-9, and they fired their head coach.
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: Tampa Bay.
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: You might want to take a nice drive up I-75
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: and say hello to your neighbors. They're called the Atlanta
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: Falcons because right now Todd Bowles is looking very similar
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: to one Raheem Morris in the terms of your team sucks,
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: you suck, and you're probably not going to have a
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: job after December. If you even make it that far.
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: It says a lot about the ownership when you don't
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: fire bowls after that disaster run.
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: I mean, it said something about Atlanta that they didn't
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: fire Raheem after it happened to him in 2024, but
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: they gave him a shot in 2025.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: So the Bucs are doing what Atlanta did.
- 1:25:33Speaker 3: And I actually found this very surprising, listening to this
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: one Buccaneers creator post. because I follow along with Roundtable Sports.
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: Shout them out, by the way. Their Bucs reporter, who
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: does their Buccaneers coverage, apparently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: never fired a head coach in season before.
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: You can say the same about Chicago until Matt Eberfuss
- 1:25:58Speaker 5: made history.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: Okay. I mean, do we think that they bucked the
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: trend with Todd Bowles or not?
- 1:26:06Speaker 5: If Chicago did it, so can Tampa Bay.
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: I mean, I think it might come down to how
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: the next couple of games go. And also, I'll just
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: say this, because remember how we talked about it, Brandon,
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: when we said Baker Mayfield is not worth that contract extension? Again,
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: we said he was worth a contract extension. We just
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: said not for that kind of money. Yeah, he ain't
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: showing that he's worth it.
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: All right. Well, that's all taken care of. We have
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: the 105 slash 405 window now. Who wants to do
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: Jaguars Broncos? Oh, me, me, me, me, me, me.
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: Sure.
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: Let's do it.
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: I don't have anything to say about that game.
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: All right. Let's start this off. Broncos 20, Jags 13.
- 1:27:03Speaker 5: Another fourth quarter comeback for the Broncos. How does this
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: keep happening? It's like, why are the Broncos models just like,
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: we play terrible, then we just go to the fourth quarter,
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: suddenly we're the best team in the league.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: I mean, they have Bo Nix and they have a
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: head coach that my mom calls the Grinch in Sean Payton.
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: I mean, he's not wrong.
- 1:27:29Speaker 5: The better question is like, where's Travis Hunter and where
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: did Brian Thomas Jr. go for the Jaguars? They're just non-existent.
- 1:27:41Speaker 4: Yeah. Travis Hunter had four total tackles, all of which
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: were solos, and had one defended pass.
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: I think he only had, like, what?
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: Five plays on offense or something like that?
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: Something like that. He's pretty non-existent on the team. He's
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: so insistent on being a dual-threat player. You know, not
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: the terminology that we're used to for someone who wants
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: to play offense and defense. He's just He's not going
- 1:28:07Speaker 4: to see a lot of time.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: No, he's not going to see a lot of time.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: I mean, it says something when, look, and again, I
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: love Deion Sanders with what he did for Atlanta, for Dallas,
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: for San Francisco, what he did for the University of Colorado,
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: and the fact that somebody got on prosthetic toes after
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: he lost his real ones.
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: But, Yeah, no, Travis Hunter.
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: If you are to pick one side of the ball
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: and stick to it, it's defense. You're not a receiver.
- 1:28:46Speaker 3: I'm sorry. You're not that explosive. That's conducive with the NFL.
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: You may be, a gadget player, like a, like a
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: JJ walk or something like that, where maybe you come
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: in for a play where you are the only one,
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: your quarterback is going to target. But outside of that,
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: stick to defense, man, you're a very good cornerback. And
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: I don't see his style of wide receiver play conducive
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: to succeeding in the NFL.
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: It's not going to be. And the only reason that
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: he even got looked at like that was because of,
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: you know, because of Sanders, you know, Because of Deion,
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: it's the weight that his name carried and the turnaround
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: that he made for that Colorado system. But outside of that,
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: like you said, he's a very good defensive player. He's
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: just not good in what he thinks that he wants
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: to do. Just for a record, within two games, as
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: far as receiving, he has one target on him, one
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: reception for eight yards. And then he's rushed for three yards.
- 1:29:55Speaker 4: And that's it. Like, why would you put him in
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: on the offense unless you're just in garbage time?
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: Speaking of which, I'm looking at the box for announcements.
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: We barely have anything in the Broncos. Bo Nix, 22-31,
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: 288 yards, a touchdown and a pick. The best rusher
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: was Jonah Coleman, a rookie with a touchdown. I can't
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: believe both these touchdowns came in the fourth quarter.
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:30:22Speaker 5: God, that was horrible.
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: So is this more of a Jacksonville, I'm sorry, is
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: this more of a Denver being a comeback team or
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: a Jacksonville just choking in the fourth quarter?
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: I think it's the former.
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: I think it's the former too.
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: And I never understood why the Broncos are like this.
- 1:30:40Speaker 4: Sean Payton effect.
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and I mean also Jacksonville, I don't know if
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: this is any part of it, but They were playing
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: in Denver, and we all know Denver is the mile-high city,
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: mile-high stadium. The stadium is literally a mile above sea level.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: I'm actually about to look it up just so that
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: way I have this.
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: 5280 feet, right? Isn't that their motto?
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: I was looking at Jacksonville.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: Jacksonville sits at an average elevation of about 16 feet.
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: above sea level with terrain ranging from sea level along
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: the coast and waterways up to 190 feet inland for Jacksonville.
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: So that's about a 5,000 foot difference in terms of
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: elevation and altitude.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: I don't necessarily want to say.
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: That's part of why Jacksonville looked bad in the fourth quarter,
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: but it's possible.
- 1:31:49Speaker 5: Yeah, it is entirely possible. Although I will point out
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: they beat the Barnacles in Mile High last year, which
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: makes this a lot more confusing than it should be.
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: And now we go to the other game, which I
- 1:32:01Speaker 5: have a really funny joke for. We have the Las
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: Vegas Raiders, who were the home team at SoFi Stadium
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: against the Los Angeles Chargers. And we alluded to the
- 1:32:11Speaker 5: nickel joke because, well, guess what? It was the same
- 1:32:14Speaker 5: score for the Chargers as it was last week. How?
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: How? how is the question.
- 1:32:23Speaker 5: And the answer for your question is 26-14 that was
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: the score against the cardinals but they also lost to
- 1:32:30Speaker 5: the raiders.
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: 26-14 like what what what happens here to where you
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: are a team and you give up and score the
- 1:32:42Speaker 4: exact same amount of points two weeks in a row Like,
- 1:32:48Speaker 4: how do you begin to analyze that? You know, it's like,
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: all right, cool. Here we are. We scored, you know,
- 1:32:53Speaker 4: these things. And then, oh, well, I guess we're done
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: playing for the day. I'm just like, bro, come on, man. Because, like,
- 1:33:01Speaker 4: for reference, and I thought this would have been really
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: funny if this was the case, that the Chargers only
- 1:33:07Speaker 4: TDs came in the second and third quarter against Vegas.
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: So I kind of pulled up the Arizona game and
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: see where their touchdowns came from. But theirs came from
- 1:33:16Speaker 4: the first and the third. So they're at least scoring
- 1:33:18Speaker 4: in the third corner. I don't know. Kirk Cousins actually
- 1:33:24Speaker 4: looks kind of good, honestly, on this team.
- 1:33:27Speaker 3: I miss you, Kirk Cousins.
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: 19 for 29, 253 yards, three touchdowns, one pick. Not terrible.
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: Not terrible at all.
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: And two of them were to Cody White.
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: And I'm sitting over here going, yeah, sure. Whoever he is.
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: Outside of that, you know, Trey Tucker, five receptions, 119 yards,
- 1:33:51Speaker 4: and that's where Kirk Cousins' third TD went to. I mean,
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: the Raiders bottled up the run game pretty well, so
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: Ashton Gentry didn't have a really good game. You know,
- 1:34:00Speaker 4: 21 carries, 48 yards. Not the best game in the world.
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: You know, Justin Herbert kind of looks like boo-boo. I
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: don't know if, you know, he's doing his best Yogi
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: Bear impression and taking a picnic somewhere else with all... But,
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: I mean, like, 15 for 27, 192, touchdown, and two
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: turnovers is not where you want to be at.
- 1:34:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I heard the Chargers fumbled six times.
- 1:34:25Speaker 4: They did fumble six times, and Herbert had three of them.
- 1:34:28Speaker 6: Hey, Brendan, let's see what we got in this picnic basket. Oh, boy,
- 1:34:32Speaker 6: it's a lost ball. I'm going to try and take it. Oh,
- 1:34:37Speaker 6: I can't take it because I'm giving it to the
- 1:34:39Speaker 6: other team.
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: The only bright side of this Chargers offense was that
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: Marion Hampton, 23 carries, 94 yards, and a touchdown. That's
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: pretty much it.
- 1:34:51Speaker 5: Well, as soon as we get back into this, we're
- 1:34:54Speaker 5: going to have another talk about this during the Week
- 1:34:56Speaker 5: 3 preview. I seriously think this is a big argument
- 1:34:59Speaker 5: discussion that the Chargers may end up with the worst
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: team in all of football.
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: I mean, you know it's bad when the other team
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: that people are saying might be the worst in football
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: in my Falcons, you have people actually Photoshopping a picture
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: of Justin Herbert in a Falcons jersey with the caption, Sue.
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: That's fantastic.
- 1:35:23Speaker 5: Oh, man. I don't know how low the Chargers can go,
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: but they're going to definitely go low here, and I
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: would not be surprised if they.
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: End up 0-9. Speaking of that, by the way, Nova,
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: because that's a great lead for me. So the Chargers,
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: as Brandon said, they have lost 26-14 in week one
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: at home, and they lost 26-14 at home in week two.
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: Did I get that right, Brandon?
- 1:35:50Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: Okay, so. You want to know what's fun about that stat?
- 1:35:57Speaker 4: Tell us, Talon. What's so fun about it?
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: They are the first team in NFL history to start
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: 0-2 with losses to teams that had 14 or more
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: losses the previous season because the Cardinals and the Raiders
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: both went 3-14 last year. And not only that, They
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: are the second team in NFL history to lose back-to-back
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: games by double digits with both coming at home against
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: teams that had a sub-200 win percentage the previous season.
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: Would you like to guess the name of that other team, gentlemen?
- 1:36:39Speaker 4: It's the Atlanta Falcons.
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: No, surprisingly.
- 1:36:44Speaker 5: Is it the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: Where is my sound effect? There it is.
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: You two are incorrect because this team apparently the Chargers
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: are so bad they have set football back a hundred years.
- 1:37:05Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: Because the team that I am talking about is apparently
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: a team called the Racine Tornadoes.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: In 1926 they lost.
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: On October 10th and October 17th in that scenario. They
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: played one more game, and then they said, yeah, this
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: football thing isn't all for us, so we're going to
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: stop playing.
- 1:37:28Speaker 5: I don't know if they're thinking about the Chargers, but anyway,
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: the Raiders look good. At least we're happy for Clint Kubiak.
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: Yeah, Raiders look good, Chargers look like crap, and yet
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: I think they're staring 0-9 in the face.
- 1:37:50Speaker 5: Someone else might join them. It might be Miami.
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, how quickly do we want to get through those
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: two games, Miami, San Francisco, and Seattle, Arizona?
- 1:37:59Speaker 5: Well, here's the thing. I don't think the Seattle game
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: is going to be that much of a quick one,
- 1:38:02Speaker 5: but the Niners won. I think Brandon wants to talk
- 1:38:05Speaker 5: about it, and I imagine it will be quick.
- 1:38:07Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes. Oh, wait, that's the wrong tab. That's
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: a cowgirls game.
- 1:38:16Speaker 5: How?
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: Look, man, look. You want to know how? It's because
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: they're kind of right beside you. I already had one tab.
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: I already had both tabs opened up already, and they
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: just kind of were side by side.
- 1:38:28Speaker 5: Anyway.
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: Niners continuing to defy the substation logic. I don't understand
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: how this team.
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: And they just got.
- 1:38:38Speaker 5: Brandon Cooks, too.
- 1:38:40Speaker 4: Yeah, they just got Brandon Cooks on their practice squad
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: four hours ago. Absent over here like, what? What is
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: happening here? I mean, Christian McCaffrey is apparently powered up.
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: kind of, sort of, because he had 10 carries for
- 1:38:52Speaker 4: 23 yards and two touchdowns, whereas Brock Ferdinand went 20
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: for 22. I'm sitting here going, why? But then I
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: realize it's Miami.
- 1:39:04Speaker 5: It is indeed Miami.
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: It's Miami. They suck. I went into this season saying
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: that Miami, both biasly and unbiased, were the worst, was
- 1:39:17Speaker 4: the worst team in the league, and that Tennessee was
- 1:39:19Speaker 4: not that far behind them.
- 1:39:21Speaker 5: Hey, you might want to put the Chargers up there, too.
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: To be fair, at the start of the season, I
- 1:39:26Speaker 4: thought the Chargers were going to be better than us,
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: but now they're kind of up there, too. But no,
- 1:39:31Speaker 4: as Talon, you know, also alluded to, you know, they
- 1:39:34Speaker 4: just got, you know, Brandon Cooks onto their practice squad.
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: But what this really interesting thing is, and... To me,
- 1:39:42Speaker 4: I liked Brendan Cooks. I liked him as a Saint.
- 1:39:44Speaker 4: I liked him as a Patriot. I thought he was great.
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: Very concussion-prone. In a very similar fashion to that of
- 1:39:50Speaker 4: Luke Kuechly. In terms of his being this susceptible to concussions.
- 1:39:59Speaker 4: But there were two teams that were really vying for
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: Brendan Cooks to sign with them. And obviously, the team
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: who signed them was the 49ers. And the other team
- 1:40:11Speaker 4: that apparently, that's a allegedly made a very strong pitch
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: to Brandon cooks was the Baltimore Ravens. I don't know
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: how well he would have, he'll, he'll slot into either
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: one of these teams, but if he can get behind
- 1:40:28Speaker 4: a good offensive line, he might be okay. If he can,
- 1:40:29Speaker 4: you know, keep his head on a swivel, he might
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: be okay and not have his brain turned into cheese grits. But,
- 1:40:35Speaker 4: you know, The Niners are just defying the logic that
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: I had put in place for them already. I thought
- 1:40:41Speaker 4: they were just going to start out 0-2, and that's
- 1:40:44Speaker 4: just solely because of how extensive their injury report was. Like,
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: nothing more, nothing to go against their team, nothing to
- 1:40:51Speaker 4: say that they're a bad team or anything like that.
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: I genuinely thought they were going to start out poorly
- 1:40:55Speaker 4: just because of how decimated their roster was. I'm very
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: glad to see that that's not the case because, damn,
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: they look scary.
- 1:41:06Speaker 5: I mean, wasn't it given that the NFC West is
- 1:41:09Speaker 5: going to be the hard division to win in with
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: three mega teams?
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: I mean, I mean that too, but I'm sitting there like,
- 1:41:15Speaker 4: and that's, and I knew that, you know, and I
- 1:41:18Speaker 4: did say that as the season progressed and, you know,
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: people became healthier that the Niners would, you know, eventually
- 1:41:25Speaker 4: climb their way back up there. I didn't think they
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: would start out like this though. Cause they it's granted,
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: you know, it granted, it has only been two weeks
- 1:41:34Speaker 4: of the season. but they're really good because I think
- 1:41:38Speaker 4: about it like this through two games, Brock Purdy, 45
- 1:41:41Speaker 4: for 56, five touchdowns in an interception with eight carries
- 1:41:45Speaker 4: for 59 yards in one touchdown, one turnover in this
- 1:41:50Speaker 4: entire time, man's playing at a really good level. And honestly,
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: if he continues this, I think he deserves to be
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: in a MVP conversation too.
- 1:42:00Speaker 5: What do you got to say about that? Tell him.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: About the Niners game.
- 1:42:06Speaker 5: Yeah, we're still on it.
- 1:42:08Speaker 4: Man's not even listening. God dang it, Talon.
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: I was busy listening to something on the back end
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: for when we were talking about the Seattle game.
- 1:42:22Speaker 4: Which, by the way, do you want to go ahead
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: and take that one over since you're so researched for it?
- 1:42:27Speaker 2: I mean, I am researched for it because that game
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: was a JSN special.
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: My God, could Arizona be any more stupid with JSN? Look,
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: I get that he's the reigning offensive player of the year,
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: and I still think Bajon Robinson should have gotten more
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: than one. for Offensive Player of the Year last year,
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: but I digress. But my God, it was like JSN
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: was the only player on the field against all of
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: Arizona's defense, and they still couldn't stop him. Like, it's
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: like JSN is the next coming of Calvin Johnson and
- 1:43:11Speaker 3: Julio Jones, where, okay.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: We know they're out there, and we can't fucking stop them.
- 1:43:20Speaker 5: He used to work for the contract extension.
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: They stopped him twice because he had, like, what, two
- 1:43:25Speaker 4: incompletions on him? Something like that?
- 1:43:29Speaker 5: Yeah, two.
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: Something like that.
- 1:43:31Speaker 4: Yeah, something twice. You know, not enough to save him
- 1:43:34Speaker 4: from going 155 yards and three scores on him, but,
- 1:43:37Speaker 4: you know.
- 1:43:38Speaker 5: And you're meaning to tell me this was the team
- 1:43:40Speaker 5: that beat the Chargers?
- 1:43:42Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: I mean, it was seven all at one point.
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: And then Drew Locke finds JSN.
- 1:43:50Speaker 4: Yeah. Three times.
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: Exactly. It's just like, what the hell? Side note, I
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: do believe the Cardinals are wearing their rivalry jerseys for
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: this game. At least that's what it looked like.
- 1:44:03Speaker 6: It is.
- 1:44:06Speaker 4: Again, I.
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: Like certain of the rivalry jerseys that have come out
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: so far because every team... between last year and 2028
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: are going to be getting those rivalry jerseys.
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: I'm just going to say it right now.
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: I get that Arizona's is like that all white, like
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: cream looking coloration.
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: It's horrible.
- 1:44:31Speaker 3: I like, I didn't like it when it came out.
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: I hated it on television.
- 1:44:36Speaker 5: It looks horrible.
- 1:44:40Speaker 4: Yeah, they didn't look the best.
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: And I know my brother hates your guys' Brandon.
- 1:44:49Speaker 4: I'm not a fan of our jerseys like that either.
- 1:44:52Speaker 5: Yeah, there you go. So that was our final score
- 1:44:58Speaker 5: of Seahawks 31, Cardinals 7. The Seahawks still, in my opinion,
- 1:45:02Speaker 5: are the best team in the league despite not having
- 1:45:04Speaker 5: Sam Darnold. But that's neither here nor there. We have
- 1:45:08Speaker 5: one more game left in the 25 window. I think
- 1:45:10Speaker 5: Brandon wants to talk about this the most. It's Commanders Cowboys!
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: I think he does!
- 1:45:16Speaker 5: Woo!
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: So, Cowgirls Commanders. First of all, R.I.P. Jaden Daniels. Because
- 1:45:31Speaker 4: man got hurt. That was a rough rough elbow injury.
- 1:45:38Speaker 4: And if I'm not mistaken, one of y'all please correct
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: me if I'm wrong, it was the same elbow that
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: he had problems with last time.
- 1:45:47Speaker 3: Nova, I will let you take this one.
- 1:45:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I had one thing to say about that injury,
- 1:45:51Speaker 5: and it was just going to be brought up again
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: once we get to the Monday game. Do you want
- 1:45:55Speaker 5: to know something about that one? I was watching Red
- 1:45:57Speaker 5: Zone towards the end of it after being angry at
- 1:45:58Speaker 5: the Ravens game earlier on that day. And then when
- 1:46:01Speaker 5: they brought it up on the halftime report, do you
- 1:46:03Speaker 5: want to know what happened? Because the injury happened at halftime.
- 1:46:06Speaker 5: Do you want to know what happened? What happened? The
- 1:46:11Speaker 5: only person to check on Jaden Daniels was Marcus Mariota.
- 1:46:13Speaker 5: Everyone else left.
- 1:46:18Speaker 4: That says a lot if that's true. Because it makes
- 1:46:21Speaker 4: you kind of draw on the question, you know, what
- 1:46:24Speaker 4: happened to the leadership of Jaden Daniels that he commanded,
- 1:46:27Speaker 4: you know, when he had a fully healthy season, you know? Because, like,
- 1:46:32Speaker 4: after that went down, it was the Marcus Mariota show.
- 1:46:35Speaker 4: Jaden Daniels started 11 for 17, 96 yards in a TD.
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: Mariota comes in 11 for 16, 111 yards in a
- 1:46:44Speaker 4: TD as well. It was all in all kind of
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: a mid-performance by Washington overall. I think they kind of
- 1:46:53Speaker 4: lost a little bit of enthusiasm whenever Mariota came in.
- 1:46:57Speaker 4: And Mariota was one of those players I really wish
- 1:46:59Speaker 4: he had had a bigger impact like he did. Because
- 1:47:01Speaker 4: he did come into the NFL in the same year
- 1:47:04Speaker 4: as Jameis Winston. Because they played against each other in
- 1:47:08Speaker 4: CFP from Oregon and FSU. So I was kind of
- 1:47:12Speaker 4: hoping that the both of them would have a better
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: performance in the NFL than what they've had. Instead, they're
- 1:47:17Speaker 4: nothing more than pretty much just glorified backups. This was
- 1:47:22Speaker 4: honestly kind of a game for Dallas where they were
- 1:47:26Speaker 4: just like, look, last week was a fluke. Let us
- 1:47:29Speaker 4: show you what we can really do. And I don't
- 1:47:32Speaker 4: know how much that goes to say with it being
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: against Washington. But Dak Prescott went 26 for 31 and
- 1:47:38Speaker 4: four touchdowns. And then he had a 26 rushing on
- 1:47:42Speaker 4: the ground. Dallas had a very good offensive game. And
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: much like JSN for Seattle, CeeDee Lamb just couldn't be
- 1:47:50Speaker 4: stopped either on eight receptions, 153, and two touchdowns.
- 1:47:55Speaker 5: Yeah, that was more so the offense I was expecting
- 1:47:57Speaker 5: from the Cowboys from week one, which I think says
- 1:48:00Speaker 5: a lot about the commander's defense, if I'm going to
- 1:48:02Speaker 5: be honest.
- 1:48:04Speaker 4: That's always been a rough spot for Washington, though, for
- 1:48:06Speaker 4: as long as I can remember.
- 1:48:09Speaker 5: But yeah, the one thing I wanted to point out was, again,
- 1:48:11Speaker 5: Marcus Mariota was the only person to check on Jaden
- 1:48:14Speaker 5: Daniels while everyone else left for the locker room at halftime.
- 1:48:17Speaker 5: Why are you doing this to your captain?
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: Well, I mean, the offensive line, you saw them taking
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: a knee and then they walked away, but I think
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: it was More on the side of, like, they were
- 1:48:30Speaker 3: just like, oh, fuck, it happened again.
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: Like, they were just so distraught.
- 1:48:36Speaker 3: I mean, the other thing also, because I saw this video,
- 1:48:40Speaker 3: apparently even Dak and CD, like, they were running to
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: the tunnel at halftime, and Dak and CD, they both stopped,
- 1:48:48Speaker 3: and they were like, and you can see Dak, he
- 1:48:51Speaker 3: audibly says, daniels is hurt and you can see him
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: and cd look up at you know jerry world's big
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: thing the gigantic jumbotron and you could just see like
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: even their hearts sank.
- 1:49:05Speaker 5: Yeah but it just hurts to me that it felt
- 1:49:07Speaker 5: like marcus mariotto's the only one who cared.
- 1:49:08Speaker 3: Well yeah i mean now he has to start for
- 1:49:13Speaker 3: them well i.
- 1:49:15Speaker 4: Mean yeah not only that but like i said it
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: kind of draws more into question you know what happened
- 1:49:19Speaker 4: what's happening in the locker room.
- 1:49:23Speaker 5: That's the only thing I wanted to allude to. Don't worry.
- 1:49:25Speaker 5: I'll bring it up again later on, but now we
- 1:49:28Speaker 5: go to the prime time games. Um, who wants to
- 1:49:31Speaker 5: take the fame for a Colts chiefs?
- 1:49:35Speaker 4: Don, you will take this one and I'll take the
- 1:49:37Speaker 4: Monday night game.
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: Sure. I'll take the Indianapolis, Kansas city game. Um, yeah,
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: I mean, Patrick Mahomes, what more can you say about it?
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: I mean, Wait, where's my buzzer? I got to be
- 1:49:52Speaker 3: Nick Wright for Brandon. I got to hit the button.
- 1:49:56Speaker 2: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:49:57Speaker 3: Wait a minute. I actually do have it on my computer,
- 1:50:03Speaker 3: and I just want to read the banner because the
- 1:50:07Speaker 3: banner is phenomenal for something as ridiculous as what Nick
- 1:50:14Speaker 3: Wright can do because... Uh, where is it?
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: I had it here.
- 1:50:22Speaker 3: And, oh, here it is.
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: MV Patrick Mahomes will return to Chris Broussard's ballot for
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: the first time since 2025.
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: That was the, that was the banner.
- 1:50:37Speaker 5: Um, yeah, no, though it makes sense that you cut
- 1:50:40Speaker 5: out there.
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: Oh, I cut out there.
- 1:50:45Speaker 5: It makes total sense. Brandon wasn't brought that into fruition.
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: Yeah, probably, because... Manifestation. He manifested all right.
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: But in all fairness, I mean, it was actually a
- 1:50:59Speaker 3: really good game between the Chiefs and the Colts. And
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: another game that went into overtime because it was 33
- 1:51:09Speaker 3: to 30 as a final. Mahomes nearly 400 yards with
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: three touchdowns. I mean, he was fine in Kelsey, and
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: that means we got to see Tay-Tay on the broadcast.
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: We got to see old Taylor Swift. And I think
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: somebody tried to maybe ask her out because you saw
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: her point to her fucking ring.
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: Like, you know she's married, guys.
- 1:51:37Speaker 3: Like, come on.
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker, like, unbelievable.
- 1:51:43Speaker 4: Kenneth Walker things.
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: He is proving more and more like, Seattle, you should
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: have never let his fucking ass out the door with.
- 1:51:53Speaker 4: What he's doing. Which is crazy. I'm over here looking
- 1:51:56Speaker 4: at his stats right now, and in two games, okay,
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: two games for Kansas City has 47 carries for 290 yards. Yeah.
- 1:52:05Speaker 5: In two games.
- 1:52:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's just absolutely insane. And then you factor in
- 1:52:17Speaker 3: that Kelsey had nine receptions for 101 yards, had the touchdown.
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: I mean, look, we've known this for years with the Chiefs.
- 1:52:27Speaker 3: When Mahomes and Kelsey are on, that offense is very
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: difficult to stop. But then you throw in a running
- 1:52:34Speaker 3: game and it gets even more difficult to stop. I
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: think we can just call a spade a spade on
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: that one, right, Brandon? I know how much you hate
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: the Chiefs.
- 1:52:43Speaker 4: Speaking of calling a spade a spade, here's my insert
- 1:52:46Speaker 4: commentary that I alluded to earlier. Who are the broadcasters
- 1:52:51Speaker 4: for this game?
- 1:52:53Speaker 5: Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth.
- 1:52:56Speaker 4: Chris Collinsworth, get your mouth off of Patrick Mahomes' dick.
- 1:53:03Speaker 4: Because I'm telling you, every single fucking time that Patrick
- 1:53:10Speaker 4: Mahomes did anything Anything. If this man fucking looked at
- 1:53:15Speaker 4: the camera and licked his lips, Chris Collinsworth was all
- 1:53:19Speaker 4: over it praising this man. If this was any other
- 1:53:23Speaker 4: fucking quarterback in this league, it would have been a
- 1:53:26Speaker 4: small dissection of how the play was bad and how
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: it could have been better. But instead, there was one play.
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: I think it was a Mahomes-Kelsey connection. that went for, like,
- 1:53:39Speaker 4: seven yards, right? So, like, it wasn't even enough for
- 1:53:42Speaker 4: a first down. It was, and I quote, this is
- 1:53:45Speaker 4: a play that makes the Chiefs specials that Kelsey and
- 1:53:48Speaker 4: Mahomes have engineered that the rest of the team, the
- 1:53:50Speaker 4: rest of the league uses as a blueprint. And I'm like,
- 1:53:54Speaker 4: it's a fucking slant route.
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: Shut up.
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: And I'm just sitting over here like, what are we
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: doing here? Why are we just glazing Patrick Mahomes at
- 1:54:08Speaker 4: this volume? It's almost like Mahomes has something written into
- 1:54:13Speaker 4: his contract that says Chris Collinsworth must slobber on me
- 1:54:17Speaker 4: every time he commentates. I don't understand. I will die
- 1:54:23Speaker 4: on the hill that Patrick Mahomes is a mid-quarterback. I
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: will stand on that statement. I know I'm kind of
- 1:54:28Speaker 4: having some unserious takes. I genuinely don't think Mahomes is
- 1:54:31Speaker 4: that good. I think he is the OBJ of quarterbacks.
- 1:54:37Speaker 5: The only difference is that he actually has the rings.
- 1:54:39Speaker 4: He actually has the rings. That's the thing. But when
- 1:54:42Speaker 4: your team has been loaded on like it has, then, yeah,
- 1:54:45Speaker 4: anybody's going to win a ring. Like, Nick Foles won
- 1:54:47Speaker 4: a fucking ring, for God's sakes. Like, that Philadelphia team
- 1:54:50Speaker 4: where Nick Foles was loaded. No one was beating that team.
- 1:54:54Speaker 4: It didn't have to be Patriots or Super Bowl. No
- 1:54:56Speaker 4: one was beating that Philly team. Anyway, fuck you, Chris Collinsworth.
- 1:55:01Speaker 5: I wish he didn't say that about Mike Tirico. Tirico's
- 1:55:05Speaker 5: a really good commentator.
- 1:55:06Speaker 4: I will, yeah. And also, I'm sorry, because I kind
- 1:55:12Speaker 4: of just saw the message, I did kind of want
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: to apologize. There was a moment in time that Talon
- 1:55:15Speaker 4: did ask in our personal studio chat if he could
- 1:55:17Speaker 4: talk about the Jaden Daniels injury, and I just saw it. So, Nova,
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: I apologize for taking that away from you.
- 1:55:22Speaker 5: No, it's fine. I just wanted to point out the
- 1:55:24Speaker 5: teammate thing, which we're going to talk about next, because
- 1:55:27Speaker 5: we're going to go straight to the Monday game that
- 1:55:29Speaker 5: you wanted to talk about It's Giants and it's the Rams.
- 1:55:33Speaker 4: Oh, my God. First of all, man, Jackson Dart. I
- 1:55:41Speaker 4: had such hopes for him. He gets hurt early on.
- 1:55:48Speaker 4: And they're originally saying four to six weeks.
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: And you even saw it on the broadcast, too.
- 1:55:55Speaker 4: You even saw it on the broadcast. Exactly. You even
- 1:55:58Speaker 4: saw a camera pan down to the head coach in
- 1:56:03Speaker 4: OC talking about, hey, four to six weeks, you could
- 1:56:06Speaker 4: even see them mouth it. And then eight hours ago,
- 1:56:10Speaker 4: Schefter comes out and reports, Dart is facing the possibility
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: of season-ending surgery after further testing Tuesday revealed that the
- 1:56:19Speaker 4: left knee injury he sustained is worse than originally anticipated. I.
- 1:56:26Speaker 5: Go on.
- 1:56:27Speaker 4: I was going to say, I have such high hopes
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: for this Giants team. And they just, anytime that they
- 1:56:34Speaker 4: get anything good going, there is something that always goes
- 1:56:38Speaker 4: drastically wrong. I took a screenshot of it when it
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: popped up on my phone. I remember I'm at work,
- 1:56:43Speaker 4: you know, earlier today. And I sent it to my roommate, too,
- 1:56:46Speaker 4: or my former roommate, who's a Giants fan I told
- 1:56:48Speaker 4: you guys about last week. And he was just like, dude,
- 1:56:52Speaker 4: are you kidding me? He goes, we cannot catch a break.
- 1:56:56Speaker 4: And they genuinely looked really good last week against the Cowboys.
- 1:57:03Speaker 4: Whether it was a fluke game or not, we'll never know. But, man,
- 1:57:08Speaker 4: I genuinely feel bad for the Giants. I really do. Because, like,
- 1:57:14Speaker 4: outside of that, you know, this was a game that
- 1:57:16Speaker 4: the Rams were just like, If they lose this game,
- 1:57:19Speaker 4: then there's going to be a lot of questions that
- 1:57:21Speaker 4: the Rams would have had. Because even though, you know,
- 1:57:25Speaker 4: with the injury that happened, the Giants defense kind of
- 1:57:27Speaker 4: just said, you know, screw it. Because they let Matt
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: Stafford go 22 for 31, four TDs and a pick.
- 1:57:34Speaker 4: Kyron Williams, 12 carries, 85 yards. Devontae Adams, though. We're
- 1:57:40Speaker 4: talking about the big games of receivers here lately. Eight receptions,
- 1:57:43Speaker 4: 195 yards, and two touchdowns. That's a game.
- 1:57:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that is that.
- 1:57:52Speaker 4: Is primetime key.
- 1:57:55Speaker 3: Status.
- 1:57:56Speaker 4: Devonta Adams that we saw in Green Bay.
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it was saying something because it's like,
- 1:58:04Speaker 3: I don't know if you said it, Brandon. I think
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: you said it last week, but it was like, there's
- 1:58:08Speaker 3: no Puka Nakua going. into this game. The Giants defense
- 1:58:12Speaker 3: was going to feast on the Rams because no Puka.
- 1:58:17Speaker 3: And I think that's exactly why you picked the Giants.
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: You were like, I'm going to stick to my guns.
- 1:58:22Speaker 3: I'm going to say the Giants are going to win
- 1:58:24Speaker 3: this game. And well, yeah, that game happened.
- 1:58:31Speaker 4: I just, man, I really do feel bad for them
- 1:58:35Speaker 4: because they, I think they had figured out, you know,
- 1:58:40Speaker 4: a really good identity very early on. And then not
- 1:58:44Speaker 4: only did you have that Jackson art potential season ending injury,
- 1:58:48Speaker 4: you also have neighbors who also left that same game
- 1:58:52Speaker 4: with a right arm injury and never came back. He
- 1:58:56Speaker 4: had one reception and they come to find out it's
- 1:59:00Speaker 4: a shoulder injury. So not only did they lose Jackson
- 1:59:03Speaker 4: Dart to a potential season-ending injury that we'll know more
- 1:59:06Speaker 4: about when it's actually confirmed, you know, they turn in
- 1:59:08Speaker 4: lost neighbors who just came back from an ACL tear, too. Like,
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: I will say this. Like, you know, the Giants might
- 1:59:16Speaker 4: have taken away two Super Bowls from us, but damn,
- 1:59:20Speaker 4: they really cannot catch a break lately.
- 1:59:24Speaker 3: They really can't catch a break lately, and.
- 1:59:29Speaker 2: I mean, hey, look at the bright side. Now they
- 1:59:31Speaker 2: have Jameis as their quarterback.
- 1:59:34Speaker 4: Is that a silver lining? Like, what happened here? This
- 1:59:39Speaker 4: conversation still seems downtrodden because I don't think that's any better.
- 1:59:43Speaker 3: I mean, look, the way that he played on last
- 1:59:51Speaker 3: night or Monday night, I'll just say, look, he did
- 1:59:54Speaker 3: not look good. He was airmailing. He was underthrowing. But
- 1:59:59Speaker 3: I think I can give him a very... Like, I'm
- 2:00:02Speaker 3: talking the thinnest of thin margins for the fact of
- 2:00:08Speaker 3: the matter that I really don't think he thought he
- 2:00:11Speaker 3: was getting in that game yesterday.
- 2:00:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:00:17Speaker 3: So....
- 2:00:19Speaker 5: I have one thing to say, and that goes back
- 2:00:21Speaker 5: to the Jaden Daniels thing. The Giants teammates were all circling,
- 2:00:25Speaker 5: and we're all hoping that Jackson Dyer was okay. And
- 2:00:27Speaker 5: to me... it's a good thing but it also comes
- 2:00:30Speaker 5: back to the jayden daniels thing i mean unfortunately i
- 2:00:32Speaker 5: have to go back to this one because it's an
- 2:00:33Speaker 5: easy comparison like you can look at the difference.
- 2:00:37Speaker 4: And that's exactly why i said you know there's a
- 2:00:39Speaker 4: different like what's happening in this locker room for you
- 2:00:42Speaker 4: know the leadership versus the two because like he said
- 2:00:44Speaker 4: it's a good comparison you know you have all of
- 2:00:46Speaker 4: these people huddled around their captain hoping everything's good and
- 2:00:49Speaker 4: then you have jayden daniels and the only person who
- 2:00:51Speaker 4: visits him is a backup qb like night and day
- 2:00:54Speaker 4: difference there honestly.
- 2:00:57Speaker 5: There's no way the Jaden Daniels memes are that powerful,
- 2:01:00Speaker 5: are they?
- 2:01:00Speaker 4: The internet's manifested worse.
- 2:01:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, the internet has definitely manifested worse, but
- 2:01:15Speaker 3: I mean, again, prayers up to Jackson Dart, because yeah,
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: I mean, you never want to have an injury like
- 2:01:23Speaker 3: that happen, but Is it too soon to say that
- 2:01:28Speaker 3: every quarterback in the NFC East is injury prone?
- 2:01:33Speaker 5: I haven't heard anything from Jalen Hurts.
- 2:01:37Speaker 4: Well, it's already in his name, so it's bound to
- 2:01:38Speaker 4: happen eventually, right?
- 2:01:41Speaker 5: Oh, God. You deserve to be booed for that joke alone.
- 2:01:50Speaker 4: It's fine. Everything's fine.
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, we're fine. They're fine.
- 2:01:58Speaker 3: Well, they may not be fine, but.
- 2:02:03Speaker 4: Like, I mean, it's like, y'all know that meme of
- 2:02:06Speaker 4: the dog sitting in a cafe. This is fine. And
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: everything's on fire around though. Yeah. Like, let's just hope
- 2:02:15Speaker 4: the Chicago defense steps up against Philadelphia next week. Anyway.
- 2:02:20Speaker 5: That's actually a good transition to where next week. What
- 2:02:21Speaker 5: do you got, Talon?
- 2:02:23Speaker 3: Oh, yes. Let's start talking about the week three games.
- 2:02:29Speaker 3: And I'm just going to put this out here for everybody.
- 2:02:33Speaker 3: So we are doing the predictions and I'm going to
- 2:02:35Speaker 3: be keeping the prediction tab going through two weeks. There
- 2:02:41Speaker 3: is a two way tie at. in this pickums, there
- 2:02:46Speaker 3: is myself and Nova. We have correctly predicted 20 of
- 2:02:52Speaker 3: the 32 games and we have a five game lead
- 2:02:56Speaker 3: over Brandon Nova. What do you have to say about that?
- 2:02:59Speaker 5: Nothing. I really don't. That's not indicative on us.
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: It's not indicative on us. It's just that Brandon doesn't
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: know how to pick games.
- 2:03:09Speaker 4: So no, to be fair, to be fair, First of all,
- 2:03:14Speaker 4: I didn't know we were making a competition out of it. Otherwise,
- 2:03:16Speaker 4: I would have been drastically different over these first two weeks.
- 2:03:19Speaker 4: I played underdog the first two weeks, honestly. Second of all,
- 2:03:24Speaker 4: we would have played serious. I got you. I'll make
- 2:03:27Speaker 4: up this five-game gap in no time.
- 2:03:29Speaker 5: We're counting on it. I was not the one that
- 2:03:33Speaker 5: brought it up. Talon brought it up.
- 2:03:35Speaker 2: I did bring it up, and also, hold on a second.
- 2:03:39Speaker 3: I'm going to do my fancy French narrator for Brandon
- 2:03:43Speaker 3: because he'll be catching up to us in no time. 2,000
- 2:03:49Speaker 3: years later.
- 2:03:50Speaker 4: I don't know about that one, buddy, because speaking of 2,000
- 2:03:55Speaker 4: years later, it's probably going to take 2,000 years for
- 2:03:57Speaker 4: this Atlanta offense to catch up to Green Bay.
- 2:03:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:04:01Speaker 3: Okay, let's... Yeah, let's... All right, let's let me have
- 2:04:08Speaker 3: it for this Thursday because I will... Because I'll be
- 2:04:12Speaker 3: telling you guys this. I'll be casting my Pokemon tournament
- 2:04:16Speaker 3: on Thursday while I am watching this game live. So I'm.
- 2:04:23Speaker 2: Just excited to see competent quarterback.
- 2:04:25Speaker 3: Play on Thursday from my team because, again... I have
- 2:04:31Speaker 3: hooked my train onto the Michael Penix wagon, mostly because
- 2:04:35Speaker 3: I'm left-handed like Michael is.
- 2:04:38Speaker 2: But I like what he does.
- 2:04:42Speaker 3: And this was a very impressive stat before his injury
- 2:04:46Speaker 3: last year. He had the lowest interception percentage in the
- 2:04:53Speaker 3: league at 1.1% last year. So by intercept, I mean,
- 2:05:00Speaker 3: interception worthy passes. So out of every pass he threw
- 2:05:06Speaker 3: only 1.1% of them were categorized as could be intercepted
- 2:05:13Speaker 3: or were intercepted because he did throw three. And if
- 2:05:16Speaker 3: I'm not mistaken, two of them were in that 30
- 2:05:18Speaker 3: to nothing dropping at the hands of the Panthers and
- 2:05:21Speaker 3: that 30 to nothing shutout that we don't talk about.
- 2:05:26Speaker 3: I just got to remember which game was the other
- 2:05:30Speaker 3: interception because he didn't throw one against Tampa.
- 2:05:32Speaker 2: He didn't throw one against– oh.
- 2:05:34Speaker 7: Wait, no.
- 2:05:37Speaker 3: Wait, I think it was Washington in week four, and
- 2:05:39Speaker 3: then he didn't throw another interception for the rest of
- 2:05:41Speaker 3: the year.
- 2:05:41Speaker 2: But needless to.
- 2:05:42Speaker 3: Say, I am riding with my Falcons.
- 2:05:47Speaker 2: Brandon, let me have it.
- 2:05:52Speaker 4: It's definitely Green Bay. You're playing in Lambeau. Like, you're
- 2:05:57Speaker 4: coming off with a QB who is allegedly ready for,
- 2:06:02Speaker 4: you know, full action play. And you're... The only thing
- 2:06:10Speaker 4: you have going for your team is B. John Robinson.
- 2:06:15Speaker 4: That's it. That is the Atlanta Falcons. I think Green
- 2:06:18Speaker 4: Bay wins this. It might just be about like a touchdown,
- 2:06:20Speaker 4: but I think Green Bay wins it.
- 2:06:23Speaker 5: I actually never got to bring this up during the
- 2:06:25Speaker 5: middle of Talents, right? But I want to fuel the
- 2:06:27Speaker 5: fire even worse.
- 2:06:28Speaker 3: Oh, God damn it.
- 2:06:31Speaker 5: Do you guys know about the YouTuber Tub Frog?
- 2:06:35Speaker 4: No.
- 2:06:36Speaker 3: Never heard of him. Okay.
- 2:06:37Speaker 5: Well, they're a rising NFL, you know, recapper, NFL YouTuber.
- 2:06:41Speaker 5: And I watched their recap today. And do you know
- 2:06:44Speaker 5: what he said when he was recapping Panthers Falcons?
- 2:06:49Speaker 3: I'm assuming you're going to tell me, and then I'm
- 2:06:52Speaker 3: going to hate this guy even further, and then I'm
- 2:06:55Speaker 3: going to go watch the recap and hate him even more.
- 2:06:59Speaker 5: He said that the Falcons are not going to do anything,
- 2:07:01Speaker 5: that Bijan's the new age, Barry Sanders, and that they
- 2:07:04Speaker 5: should trade him, because what are you going to do?
- 2:07:10Speaker 3: I mean, here's the thing, though. Barry Sanders wasn't traded.
- 2:07:12Speaker 3: Barry Sanders retired. So the guy's already wrong. The guy's
- 2:07:19Speaker 3: already an idiot. Like, look, I get the comparison for
- 2:07:28Speaker 3: Bajon to modern day Barry Sanders. I get that.
- 2:07:31Speaker 2: I respect that.
- 2:07:33Speaker 3: But again, Barry Sanders wasn't traded. Barry Sanders retired from Detroit.
- 2:07:40Speaker 3: He didn't get traded out of Detroit. He didn't get
- 2:07:43Speaker 3: released from Detroit. He said, I don't want to play
- 2:07:47Speaker 3: football anymore. So this, what was it? Tub frog.
- 2:07:53Speaker 5: Yeah. Tub frog. Yeah.
- 2:07:54Speaker 3: You're an idiot.
- 2:07:59Speaker 5: Anyway, my pick is the. Packers. I don't think it
- 2:08:00Speaker 5: would be close at all.
- 2:08:03Speaker 4: All right.
- 2:08:04Speaker 3: So I, again, I mean, I I'm riding with Penix
- 2:08:09Speaker 3: this week. I, again, I, I think you guys can
- 2:08:12Speaker 3: agree though.
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: The offense will look more competent than it has in
- 2:08:15Speaker 2: the last two weeks.
- 2:08:18Speaker 5: They'll only hit the red zone two times. Calm down.
- 2:08:23Speaker 2: But we haven't hit the red zone once.
- 2:08:25Speaker 5: That's the joke.
- 2:08:28Speaker 3: Oh, my goodness. Brandon, I think I might be getting
- 2:08:33Speaker 3: too old. You might have to take me around the back.
- 2:08:38Speaker 4: Come on, old yeller.
- 2:08:43Speaker 3: All right, moving on. Let's go to the next game
- 2:08:47Speaker 3: on the list, which is the Los Angeles Chargers at
- 2:08:51Speaker 3: the Buffalo Bills. How quickly is Buffalo going to murder
- 2:08:55Speaker 3: the Chargers?
- 2:08:58Speaker 4: Very, very quickly.
- 2:08:59Speaker 5: The better question is, will the Bills defense suffer again?
- 2:09:04Speaker 2: Not against this Chargers team, if you ask me.
- 2:09:08Speaker 4: No, I don't know. I think Chargers put up a
- 2:09:14Speaker 4: little bit of a fight, but then it's just one
- 2:09:16Speaker 4: of those situations where, you know, Chargers are going to
- 2:09:19Speaker 4: score 14 points and then just turn around and take
- 2:09:21Speaker 4: a nap again.
- 2:09:21Speaker 5: Look, we're not going to end three games in a
- 2:09:25Speaker 5: row 26-14, okay?
- 2:09:27Speaker 4: I never said 26-14. I just said they scored 14
- 2:09:29Speaker 4: and called a nap.
- 2:09:31Speaker 3: Could you imagine if that game actually does end 26-14?
- 2:09:34Speaker 3: We'd all call out.
- 2:09:35Speaker 5: The NFL for, like, alluding. or whatever the word is.
- 2:09:44Speaker 4: Colluding?
- 2:09:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:09:47Speaker 4: Foreshadowing.
- 2:09:49Speaker 5: If this ends up being 26 to 14, I don't
- 2:09:52Speaker 5: know what we're going to tell you guys.
- 2:09:55Speaker 2: I think Nova should eat his hat.
- 2:09:58Speaker 5: I can't even eat hats.
- 2:10:00Speaker 3: That's the joke.
- 2:10:03Speaker 4: Look, I'm sorry. If our buddy can turn around and
- 2:10:07Speaker 4: eat a piece of shoe... on Twitter over a Pokemon prediction, then,
- 2:10:14Speaker 4: you know, I think Talon can cut off a piece
- 2:10:15Speaker 4: of his hat. So it's doable.
- 2:10:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I do think the Bills win, but I am
- 2:10:21Speaker 5: really afraid that, you know, the Bills are going to
- 2:10:24Speaker 5: repeat the Josh Allen-Codwell script because the defense can't defend.
- 2:10:26Speaker 3: But, you know.
- 2:10:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:10:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:10:31Speaker 3: Next game on the predictions. Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals.
- 2:10:37Speaker 5: Wrong team.
- 2:10:40Speaker 3: Wrong team.
- 2:10:41Speaker 5: It says it's the Browns, no?
- 2:10:43Speaker 4: Yeah, it's the Browns.
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: Oh.
- 2:10:47Speaker 4: Oh, fuck.
- 2:10:47Speaker 5: I wrote it wrong. Hall opener for the Browns. Oh, right.
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: I forgot.
- 2:10:55Speaker 3: Yeah, because Deshaun Watson, Brandon's favorite quarterback of all time,
- 2:11:00Speaker 3: is starting this game, most likely.
- 2:11:02Speaker 4: I'm going to burn your car down.
- 2:11:13Speaker 5: Bro tried to save himself from his own misery. He
- 2:11:15Speaker 5: gets roasted.
- 2:11:18Speaker 4: Literally.
- 2:11:18Speaker 3: I mean, I think I know who Brandon's picking, right?
- 2:11:27Speaker 4: Carolina.
- 2:11:29Speaker 5: Carolina.
- 2:11:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's Carolina by two scores.
- 2:11:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm kind of riding with Carolina, but I would
- 2:11:39Speaker 3: not be surprised if Shador plays in this game if
- 2:11:42Speaker 3: Deshaun shits the bed.
- 2:11:43Speaker 4: We said that last week and look what happened.
- 2:11:48Speaker 3: But again, I mean, Deshaun didn't shit the bed. I mean,
- 2:11:53Speaker 3: he played so well that fuck. Oh, that fucking TJ
- 2:11:56Speaker 3: Houshman Zada. And I can't believe I pronounce his last
- 2:11:59Speaker 3: name correctly. He was trying to insinuate that Deshaun Watson
- 2:12:03Speaker 3: looks like a more competent quarterback now than he did
- 2:12:06Speaker 3: with Kevin Stefanski.
- 2:12:11Speaker 5: Why do I agree?
- 2:12:12Speaker 4: Why do.
- 2:12:14Speaker 5: I agree?
- 2:12:16Speaker 4: It's not a very strong take, but it's, it's, it's doable.
- 2:12:20Speaker 5: All right. Now we can go on to Talon's mistake.
- 2:12:23Speaker 5: You wanted to see the Bengals at home?
- 2:12:25Speaker 4: Nope.
- 2:12:25Speaker 5: They're on the road at Akers for San Diego. It's
- 2:12:27Speaker 5: Bengals Steelers.
- 2:12:29Speaker 3: Give me the Bengals on the road.
- 2:12:31Speaker 4: Give me the Bengals on the road.
- 2:12:34Speaker 5: Do I want to be the first one to strays away?
- 2:12:36Speaker 3: Well, technically, I'm already the first one because you guys
- 2:12:41Speaker 3: both picked Green Bay and I picked Atlanta.
- 2:12:44Speaker 5: Because my thing is, do we see the Steeler BS
- 2:12:48Speaker 5: happen again? Because for some reason, the Steelers always consistently
- 2:12:51Speaker 5: beat the Bengals no matter what happens or no matter
- 2:12:53Speaker 5: how good the Bengals look. And you know what? I
- 2:12:57Speaker 5: think it happens again. The Steelers are going to BS
- 2:12:59Speaker 5: their way into a win that they shouldn't have won.
- 2:13:01Speaker 3: They're going to do it.
- 2:13:02Speaker 5: I'm picking Pittsburgh. Ooh, all right.
- 2:13:07Speaker 3: All right, let's get through some of these weaker games then.
- 2:13:11Speaker 3: And again, we apologize, but we don't apologize because these
- 2:13:15Speaker 3: games are probably going to be horrible to watch, even
- 2:13:17Speaker 3: for the local markets.
- 2:13:19Speaker 2: First up, Jets and Lions. I don't think that's a
- 2:13:25Speaker 2: weak game.
- 2:13:25Speaker 4: I don't think that's going to be a weak game either.
- 2:13:29Speaker 4: I would like to see the Jets finally figure out
- 2:13:33Speaker 4: how to close out a game for once and actually
- 2:13:35Speaker 4: look how played he's in doing it. But at the
- 2:13:37Speaker 4: same time, Jameer Gibbs exists.
- 2:13:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, honestly, I'm picking the Lions in this
- 2:13:47Speaker 3: game mostly because Aaron Glenn's returning to Detroit. You don't
- 2:13:52Speaker 3: think Dan Campbell wants to, you know, have some fun.
- 2:13:56Speaker 3: I'm not going to say they're going to run up
- 2:13:59Speaker 3: the score on Aaron Glenn, but you don't think Dan
- 2:14:03Speaker 3: Campbell wants to You know, be like, you know, you
- 2:14:06Speaker 3: had your chance to stay with us and you took
- 2:14:09Speaker 3: a head coaching job.
- 2:14:10Speaker 2: So now I'm going to kick your ass.
- 2:14:14Speaker 5: You say that until you see the Lions secondary happen again. However,
- 2:14:19Speaker 5: I think the Lions do run away with this game,
- 2:14:22Speaker 5: but do not be surprised at this sense of ugly.
- 2:14:26Speaker 4: Like a 9-3 game?
- 2:14:29Speaker 3: No, ew.
- 2:14:31Speaker 4: Ew, no. That'll never happen with this one.
- 2:14:32Speaker 5: No, I imagine like a 20-20 tie to a Lions'
- 2:14:35Speaker 5: last-second field goal. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the result.
- 2:14:37Speaker 4: What? I think that one's pretty strong.
- 2:14:42Speaker 5: Because apparently the Jets can contest now.
- 2:14:47Speaker 3: Yeah, um.
- 2:14:50Speaker 5: Like, I don't think they're going to win, but they
- 2:14:52Speaker 5: can somehow compete now.
- 2:14:54Speaker 2: I'll say this.
- 2:14:55Speaker 3: If the Jets do shock the Detroit Lions and win
- 2:14:59Speaker 3: that game, we might have to start talking about them
- 2:15:02Speaker 3: as a potential contender in the AFC East this year.
- 2:15:06Speaker 4: Let's not go too crazy. Let's not go too crazy now.
- 2:15:12Speaker 4: All right.
- 2:15:12Speaker 5: From one New York team to another Titans Giants at
- 2:15:16Speaker 5: East Rutherford, New Jersey.
- 2:15:22Speaker 3: I apologize to the greater East Rutherford, New Jersey, the
- 2:15:26Speaker 3: state of New Jersey, the state of New York, the
- 2:15:29Speaker 3: area of long Island and everything between there and Nashville.
- 2:15:39Speaker 4: This one could go either way. Honestly, it really could. Yeah.
- 2:15:44Speaker 5: That's the worst part.
- 2:15:46Speaker 4: If it's not Philadelphia playing a trap game, it's Tennessee
- 2:15:49Speaker 4: playing up. And if it was Tennessee playing up, now
- 2:15:52Speaker 4: you got them going to the fucking Giants as an
- 2:15:55Speaker 4: away game. And the Giants have Jameis Winston. It would
- 2:15:59Speaker 4: hurt my league neighbors. I'm just like, I don't understand
- 2:16:02Speaker 4: this NFL season.
- 2:16:03Speaker 5: Fuck it.
- 2:16:04Speaker 4: I'm going Tennessee. You know what? I will, too.
- 2:16:09Speaker 5: I mean, unless Jameis Winston has a comeback in, because
- 2:16:12Speaker 5: who has to be real? Jameis Winston, for as fun
- 2:16:14Speaker 5: as he is, he always has these wild games where
- 2:16:16Speaker 5: it's like either really good or really terrible. There's no in-between.
- 2:16:18Speaker 5: But I think the Titans will be too much.
- 2:16:22Speaker 3: And guess what? I'm going to say this is that game.
- 2:16:26Speaker 3: I'm taking the G-Men.
- 2:16:28Speaker 4: Wow.
- 2:16:31Speaker 5: This is what Jameis Winston does to a man. He
- 2:16:34Speaker 5: plays so wildly inconsistent that this is what's going to happen.
- 2:16:40Speaker 5: It's like, which Jameis Winston are you going to get?
- 2:16:43Speaker 2: I'm going to say.
- 2:16:47Speaker 3: It's going to– I'm going to take Jameis this time.
- 2:16:52Speaker 3: Moving on to another game that is– I apologize to
- 2:16:58Speaker 3: the Kansas City area, the Miami area, the South Florida area,
- 2:17:06Speaker 3: because this is going to be a bloodbath.
- 2:17:09Speaker 2: Kansas City at Miami.
- 2:17:10Speaker 5: Keep in mind this is a Miami home opener.
- 2:17:15Speaker 4: Keep in mind that I also mentioned in our chat earlier,
- 2:17:18Speaker 4: or sorry, it was our pre-recording, that I have Patrick
- 2:17:21Speaker 4: Mahomes in fantasy football, and I've never made such a
- 2:17:23Speaker 4: quicker QB change from Hurts than Mahomes in my life.
- 2:17:28Speaker 3: No, you didn't say fantasy.
- 2:17:30Speaker 2: That's not against.
- 2:17:31Speaker 3: Me, is it?
- 2:17:32Speaker 4: No, it is not against you. I do not have Mahomes,
- 2:17:34Speaker 4: and I have Mahomes in only one league.
- 2:17:37Speaker 3: Thank God I don't have to deal with my homes
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: this week in fantasy.
- 2:17:42Speaker 5: I'm looking this up right now because I can actually
- 2:17:43Speaker 5: check it.
- 2:17:46Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I do not have my homes in in
- 2:17:48Speaker 4: our league. I will say though, in our league, I
- 2:17:55Speaker 4: have Jared golf to start.
- 2:17:57Speaker 3: So, yeah, but I, I mean, I'll say this though.
- 2:18:02Speaker 2: You're one on one and I'm two and oh, I
- 2:18:06Speaker 2: guess it was a one or less too. I don't
- 2:18:12Speaker 2: want to answer that question.
- 2:18:13Speaker 4: My one loss was to Nova because my team shit
- 2:18:16Speaker 4: the bed. Saquon got hurt, G & T got bottled up,
- 2:18:19Speaker 4: MHJ didn't have any catches, and they're matching in Seattle,
- 2:18:23Speaker 4: and that was all she wrote for me. And then
- 2:18:27Speaker 4: I had Trey Tucker on my bench.
- 2:18:30Speaker 5: You want to talk about bench forwards? I had Chase
- 2:18:32Speaker 5: McLaughlin on my bench. He has back-to-back 18-point games.
- 2:18:36Speaker 2: I mean, that's possible, but Nova, you're picking Kansas City,
- 2:18:39Speaker 2: I assume?
- 2:18:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:18:41Speaker 5: I imagine that the networks that aren't local are going
- 2:18:44Speaker 5: to switch from this game. The CBS network is going
- 2:18:46Speaker 5: to switch off if they're not local.
- 2:18:48Speaker 3: Or they're going to be like the Falcons-Panthers game and
- 2:18:51Speaker 3: start playing the audio of the Jets-Packers game instead of
- 2:18:55Speaker 3: the Falcons-Panthers audio.
- 2:18:59Speaker 5: Chiefs fans, I hope you're happy.
- 2:19:00Speaker 3: I think they'll be happy, but... I don't know which
- 2:19:05Speaker 3: one of these two teams are going to be happy.
- 2:19:07Speaker 3: Houston and Indianapolis.
- 2:19:11Speaker 5: All we know is that one of these two teams
- 2:19:12Speaker 5: are going to go 0-3. Potentially. They don't tie.
- 2:19:16Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to say Indy is going to go 0-3.
- 2:19:23Speaker 4: Nova?
- 2:19:24Speaker 5: I got the Texans. I do agree with Talon.
- 2:19:31Speaker 4: I think Indy wins it.
- 2:19:34Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:19:35Speaker 5: I mean, if the Texas defense doesn't show up, sure.
- 2:19:37Speaker 5: Because that's what's been happening.
- 2:19:40Speaker 4: I haven't showed up yet.
- 2:19:43Speaker 3: I mean, the Texas defense couldn't show up and they
- 2:19:46Speaker 3: still win like 27-24 last second field goal by Kaimi Fairbairn.
- 2:19:55Speaker 3: I mean, the real question is how many Texans employees
- 2:19:59Speaker 3: on the sideline are going to get hit with a
- 2:20:00Speaker 3: pie in the face by Blue?
- 2:20:05Speaker 2: Who?
- 2:20:08Speaker 5: Oh, the mascot. Oh, right. Yeah.
- 2:20:10Speaker 4: I love their mascot.
- 2:20:12Speaker 3: Oh, he's hilarious.
- 2:20:14Speaker 4: I love him. I hope whoever is in his mascot costume,
- 2:20:19Speaker 4: I hope he makes big bucks because that man does
- 2:20:21Speaker 4: his job very well.
- 2:20:23Speaker 2: Yes, he makes good money.
- 2:20:25Speaker 3: I still think Freddie Falcon is better, not because I'm
- 2:20:29Speaker 3: a Falcons fan, but last time I checked, Blue has
- 2:20:32Speaker 3: him bungee jumped off of the roof of Lucas Oil Stadium.
- 2:20:36Speaker 5: Brandon, what did you do?
- 2:20:38Speaker 4: What?
- 2:20:41Speaker 5: I think Brandon messed with your audio signal again.
- 2:20:45Speaker 2: You know, what I said was.
- 2:20:49Speaker 5: We heard the bungee cord part where you cut off.
- 2:20:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I haven't seen Blue Bungie jump off of Lucas
- 2:20:56Speaker 3: Oil Stadium's roof before, so Freddie Falcon is better for
- 2:21:00Speaker 3: that and that alone.
- 2:21:04Speaker 5: Where do we go next? Sure, let's save Brandon for last.
- 2:21:07Speaker 5: Let's do Seahawks Commanders.
- 2:21:12Speaker 2: If it was Jaden Daniels, I.
- 2:21:16Speaker 3: Might have been crazy enough to say Washington wins this game,
- 2:21:21Speaker 3: but It's Marcus Mariota. I can't pick Mariota over Drew Locke.
- 2:21:28Speaker 3: And I can't even believe I said that phrase out loud.
- 2:21:32Speaker 4: I can't pick Marcus Mariota over JSN.
- 2:21:38Speaker 5: Why do you guys not believe in Drew Locke?
- 2:21:42Speaker 4: It's fine with Drew Locke. This is just going to
- 2:21:45Speaker 4: be the JSN show again.
- 2:21:46Speaker 3: Sure.
- 2:21:51Speaker 5: I'm picking the Seahawks, too. Don't worry.
- 2:21:53Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. No, for sure. Yeah, no. You're high as
- 2:21:56Speaker 4: a kite if you're not.
- 2:21:57Speaker 5: I will say, though, this game does have upset material.
- 2:22:02Speaker 3: Again, if Jaden Daniels was starting, I probably would have
- 2:22:05Speaker 3: picked the Commanders to win.
- 2:22:09Speaker 5: I just think that dark side defense is just going
- 2:22:10Speaker 5: to be too much for Marcus Mariota.
- 2:22:12Speaker 4: Probably.
- 2:22:15Speaker 3: Probably. But speaking of a bird, let's talk about Arizona
- 2:22:22Speaker 3: and San Francisco.
- 2:22:24Speaker 5: Dude, how?
- 2:22:25Speaker 4: Does this even need to be talked about?
- 2:22:29Speaker 5: No, we skipped over a team.
- 2:22:30Speaker 4: What do you mean? We skipped over.
- 2:22:34Speaker 5: Yes, we skipped Patriots-Jaguars.
- 2:22:37Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you wanted to save Brandon's team for that.
- 2:22:39Speaker 3: Hey, you said save me for last.
- 2:22:41Speaker 5: Yeah, last in the window.
- 2:22:42Speaker 4: Oh, that's fine. I don't care. Yeah, no, anyway. Niners. Niners.
- 2:22:48Speaker 4: Niners and Broken Birds. Who wins?
- 2:22:52Speaker 5: I have the Patriots.
- 2:22:55Speaker 4: Hold on. Hold on. I'm so confused right now. There's like...
- 2:23:01Speaker 4: Talon and I have one book in our hands, and
- 2:23:05Speaker 4: we're on one page of this, and Nova is on
- 2:23:09Speaker 4: a different chapter.
- 2:23:10Speaker 5: Okay, I screwed that one up royally.
- 2:23:15Speaker 4: Uh.
- 2:23:18Speaker 4: Birds, substation.
- 2:23:21Speaker 5: I'm taking the Niners, though. Okay, I'll just take the
- 2:23:23Speaker 5: Niners and I'll play along.
- 2:23:25Speaker 3: Okay, now we go to the other book. New England
- 2:23:28Speaker 3: and Jacksonville. Nova's taking New England. I'm assuming Brandon's taking
- 2:23:34Speaker 3: New England.
- 2:23:41Speaker 4: Brother, I actually don't know. I really don't know. I
- 2:23:48Speaker 4: honestly would not be surprised to see Jacksonville win this one.
- 2:23:52Speaker 5: Same.
- 2:23:54Speaker 4: One, because if our offense does not get it together,
- 2:23:57Speaker 4: then we will lose this game. 100% we will lose
- 2:24:03Speaker 4: this game if we cannot develop an offense this game.
- 2:24:07Speaker 4: And if we slow start, if we have a cold
- 2:24:10Speaker 4: start to this game inside of Florida, haha, funny, funny, then...
- 2:24:16Speaker 4: then Jacksonville is going to run all over us. Like
- 2:24:18Speaker 4: they're like, they are. Trevor Lawrence has looked really good. Yeah.
- 2:24:21Speaker 4: I mean, even though he kind of looked like a
- 2:24:23Speaker 4: little mid against Denver, but to be fair, most players
- 2:24:26Speaker 4: who play, who are not used to mile high stadium,
- 2:24:28Speaker 4: don't really do that. Well, historically anyway, I just, if
- 2:24:34Speaker 4: we don't get an offense together, Jacksonville wins this game.
- 2:24:36Speaker 4: Jacksonville is actually favored to win this game. But I, I, I,
- 2:24:42Speaker 4: I would like to go out on a limb and
- 2:24:44Speaker 4: say that Patriots come out with a victory on the road.
- 2:24:49Speaker 3: And I will be joining suit. I will actually say
- 2:24:53Speaker 3: New England barely beats the Jaguars in this game.
- 2:24:58Speaker 2: I mean, it'll be tough.
- 2:25:02Speaker 3: Don't get me wrong. But I think New England could
- 2:25:05Speaker 3: potentially pull out the shock upset of this week. Meanwhile,
- 2:25:11Speaker 3: since we're in the state of Florida because of Jacksonville,
- 2:25:15Speaker 3: the Minnesota Vikings have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- 2:25:20Speaker 5: Who would have seen my opinion change of the Buccaneers?
- 2:25:21Speaker 5: I think the Vikings blow out the Bucs.
- 2:25:25Speaker 4: Blow out the Bucs with Carson Wentz?
- 2:25:27Speaker 5: Yes.
- 2:25:29Speaker 2: I mean, I'll say Minnesota wins. I don't know about
- 2:25:31Speaker 2: a blowout.
- 2:25:32Speaker 4: I will also say Minnesota wins, but I think blowout
- 2:25:36Speaker 4: is probably your hot take of the session. No.
- 2:25:41Speaker 5: Okay, there's my ruffling of feathers done.
- 2:25:44Speaker 4: This is a hot take at the session. All right.
- 2:25:49Speaker 2: Well, now, Brandon, let me ask you a question. What
- 2:25:53Speaker 2: was your thoughts on Quaquavel?
- 2:26:00Speaker 4: It's a really bad design.
- 2:26:01Speaker 5: Why are we bringing Quaquavel up?
- 2:26:07Speaker 4: I feel like there's a point to this. I'm kind
- 2:26:09Speaker 4: of scared to ask.
- 2:26:10Speaker 2: Because the next game, we're going to Rio!
- 2:26:13Speaker 4: That was my.
- 2:26:15Speaker 5: Second.
- 2:26:16Speaker 4: You ruined it. Boo, Talon, boo.
- 2:26:21Speaker 5: Oh, man. You're horrible for this one.
- 2:26:23Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 2:26:24Speaker 5: Hold on.
- 2:26:25Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 2:26:25Speaker 5: I actually thought you were going somewhere else with that one.
- 2:26:30Speaker 4: Nope.
- 2:26:31Speaker 5: It's mine. So Ravens Cowboys and the rumors are that
- 2:26:35Speaker 5: this is the real game, but apparently the field conditions
- 2:26:37Speaker 5: are really bad. So there are rumors that they could
- 2:26:39Speaker 5: move this back to AT & T Stadium. I am
- 2:26:42Speaker 5: buying into the Ravens. I'm hoping that last week was
- 2:26:45Speaker 5: just a fluke. I hope the Cowboys defense shows up
- 2:26:48Speaker 5: again and doesn't cover the receivers. I'm hoping Tez Walker
- 2:26:51Speaker 5: shows up. I'm hoping Derrick Henry actually has his carries.
- 2:26:55Speaker 5: I'm hoping Lamar Jackson isn't afraid to use his legs
- 2:26:57Speaker 5: because apparently that's another thing. I hope the Ravens beat
- 2:27:00Speaker 5: the Cowboys and expose that defense again.
- 2:27:04Speaker 3: I'm not surprised that Nova's picking his Ravens. Honestly, Brandon,
- 2:27:15Speaker 3: I think it's safe to say this one might actually
- 2:27:17Speaker 3: be the toughest game to pick of the week.
- 2:27:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I could probably get behind that one.
- 2:27:31Speaker 3: I mean, look, I want Baltimore to rebound from that
- 2:27:36Speaker 3: debacle on Sunday. And yes, I'm calling a debacle. I mean,
- 2:27:42Speaker 3: do I want Dallas to lose?
- 2:27:45Speaker 4: Yes. I will answer the question for you.
- 2:27:49Speaker 5: Yes. I have a relative who's a Cowboys fan.
- 2:27:53Speaker 3: My parents are Cowboys fans.
- 2:27:56Speaker 4: Both your families are psycho.
- 2:27:59Speaker 5: Luckily, it's just one person. It's no one else, luckily.
- 2:28:12Speaker 3: What is the line right now for this game, Brandon?
- 2:28:15Speaker 3: It's Baltimore 3.5 or is it Dallas 3.5? It's Baltimore 3.5.
- 2:28:17Speaker 3: Baltimore 3.5.
- 2:28:18Speaker 4: It opens at 52.5.
- 2:28:28Speaker 5: Why do I have a feeling that's going to go over?
- 2:28:29Speaker 3: It'll definitely go over. I will take Baltimore to win,
- 2:28:34Speaker 3: but I would not be surprised if Dallas backdoor covers.
- 2:28:42Speaker 5: It's just these Brandon lovers.
- 2:28:47Speaker 4: I have to record it and take that up. In
- 2:28:58Speaker 4: all honesty, I definitely echo the thinking here. If Baltimore's
- 2:29:04Speaker 4: defense doesn't have a fire lit under their ass about
- 2:29:08Speaker 4: getting lit up by the Saints, then they're definitely going
- 2:29:13Speaker 4: to lose this game to Dallas. But I would like
- 2:29:19Speaker 4: to put faith in the defensive mindset of Jesse Minter.
- 2:29:24Speaker 4: and hope that he basically says, hey, put up, shut up,
- 2:29:29Speaker 4: or go home. And I would like to see Baltimore
- 2:29:33Speaker 4: win this game in a pretty convincing fashion. I would
- 2:29:35Speaker 4: like to see them do to Dallas what the Giants
- 2:29:40Speaker 4: did to Dallas, except with fewer points by Dallas.
- 2:29:44Speaker 5: I'd love that, too. Don't worry.
- 2:29:48Speaker 4: I think Baltimore wins this game, but I think it's
- 2:29:50Speaker 4: a one-score game.
- 2:29:52Speaker 3: You'd also like it so that you have something to
- 2:29:55Speaker 3: talk about next week with how much of a Cowgirls
- 2:29:59Speaker 3: fan you are.
- 2:29:59Speaker 4: God, I'm going to light your car on fire and
- 2:30:04Speaker 4: your job on fire.
- 2:30:08Speaker 3: Well, Nova, I've gotten him to light my car on
- 2:30:11Speaker 3: fire twice. What can I say that I'll get the
- 2:30:14Speaker 3: third one?
- 2:30:17Speaker 5: Getting you to talk about Raider Saints. Which has suddenly
- 2:30:25Speaker 5: become an interesting game.
- 2:30:27Speaker 4: So we suddenly went from Rio and taking Nova's pick
- 2:30:31Speaker 4: to talking about Jack Del Rio. So... Oh, yeah.
- 2:30:38Speaker 3: Mmm, this game. Oh, this game, this game, this game,
- 2:30:46Speaker 3: this game. Yeah.
- 2:30:52Speaker 2: Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. I'm picking the Saints.
- 2:31:01Speaker 3: Ooh.
- 2:31:02Speaker 4: I know that one was difficult for you, wasn't it?
- 2:31:07Speaker 5: The hard part is just how good are the Raiders
- 2:31:09Speaker 5: are compared to the opponents they faced.
- 2:31:12Speaker 4: So, I think this is going to kind of be
- 2:31:15Speaker 4: that test that gauges that because of how well the
- 2:31:22Speaker 4: QB performance has been from New Orleans. And if New
- 2:31:26Speaker 4: Orleans is a legitimate team, even though they're 1-1, if
- 2:31:35Speaker 4: they keep this trend going, then the Raiders are going
- 2:31:41Speaker 4: to lose pretty heavily, I think. If the Raiders are legitimate,
- 2:31:48Speaker 4: then the Saints lose their home opener. It opens up
- 2:31:55Speaker 4: as minus three New Orleans with a spread of 42. Okay.
- 2:31:58Speaker 4: So it's over under 42.
- 2:32:00Speaker 3: So it's a, so it's a general, it'd be a
- 2:32:04Speaker 3: pick them on a neutral field then.
- 2:32:06Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 2:32:07Speaker 3: Again, I'll, I'll take new Orleans in their home opener.
- 2:32:15Speaker 3: And maybe part of this is because I, I mean,
- 2:32:20Speaker 3: we were in New Orleans, Brandon. I'll say this. Look,
- 2:32:24Speaker 3: I may not like your team, but I like your city.
- 2:32:28Speaker 3: Your city was great. Like, I had crawfish for the
- 2:32:33Speaker 3: first time ever, and it was delicious.
- 2:32:39Speaker 5: I cannot speak for.
- 2:32:42Speaker 4: That. I think this is honestly a more difficult game
- 2:32:45Speaker 4: than the Dallas game. Yeah. Just because both teams are
- 2:32:51Speaker 4: being kind of really tested on how good they actually are.
- 2:32:55Speaker 4: New Orleans, in my opinion, plays like a team that
- 2:32:59Speaker 4: should be 2-0.
- 2:33:02Speaker 2: And they're a two-point conversion away from being 2-0.
- 2:33:05Speaker 4: And they're a two-point conversion away from being 2-0. So arguably,
- 2:33:09Speaker 4: I do see this as a team that could, like
- 2:33:11Speaker 4: a game that could be against two 2-0 teams. And
- 2:33:15Speaker 4: I also put a lot of And I'm a very
- 2:33:18Speaker 4: logistical person, you know, having been, you know, in the various,
- 2:33:22Speaker 4: you know, and being in like warehousing management and things
- 2:33:24Speaker 4: like that in the past, I'm a very logistic minded person,
- 2:33:27Speaker 4: especially when it comes to numericals and you just hard data,
- 2:33:30Speaker 4: you know, productivity and whatnot. Right. So I do put
- 2:33:33Speaker 4: a lot of faith in numbers to a certain extent. Right. Obviously,
- 2:33:39Speaker 4: you know, numbers don't tell the entire story and variables
- 2:33:43Speaker 4: do exist. However, looking at the matchup predictor, on ESPN's
- 2:33:49Speaker 4: site for this game. New Orleans has favored the win
- 2:33:52Speaker 4: this game 64.6%. I hate to interrupt.
- 2:33:58Speaker 5: You, but I'm going to make my pick now so
- 2:34:00Speaker 5: we don't take forever. I'm picking the Raiders!
- 2:34:04Speaker 4: I was going to say I would like to see
- 2:34:07Speaker 4: the Raiders win this game.
- 2:34:10Speaker 5: Let me believe in Clint Kubiak.
- 2:34:14Speaker 3: I mean, you can believe in Clint Kubiak, and you'd
- 2:34:18Speaker 3: be well within.
- 2:34:20Speaker 2: Your belief to do so.
- 2:34:22Speaker 3: I mean, again, I picked the Saints, and I mean,
- 2:34:31Speaker 3: I'll stick with it.
- 2:34:33Speaker 5: What's your final answer, Brandon?
- 2:34:35Speaker 4: No, that's the Raiders.
- 2:34:36Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:34:40Speaker 5: Let's kick off the primetime game, shall we?
- 2:34:44Speaker 3: Yes, the Rams and the Denver Broncos.
- 2:34:52Speaker 5: Keep in mind, this is the third game in a
- 2:34:53Speaker 5: row where Rams have the primetime game all in different days.
- 2:35:00Speaker 3: That is true.
- 2:35:01Speaker 4: LA opens up to minus 2.5. Here's what.
- 2:35:08Speaker 5: I'm going to tell you is going to happen. The
- 2:35:10Speaker 5: Rams are going to look like Super Bowl contenders the
- 2:35:11Speaker 5: first three quarters. And then they're going to pull out
- 2:35:14Speaker 5: the four-quarter comeback again. I'm going to go to the Broncos.
- 2:35:16Speaker 5: We got our own BS.
- 2:35:20Speaker 3: Nova is taking the Broncos in the Sunday night game.
- 2:35:25Speaker 5: And yes, I know I'm making an enemy of my
- 2:35:27Speaker 5: own city. I know.
- 2:35:28Speaker 2: I mean, maybe, maybe a little bit, but you never
- 2:35:34Speaker 2: know at this point.
- 2:35:35Speaker 5: I'm calling four-quarter comeback for the Broncos again.
- 2:35:40Speaker 3: Calling a fourth quarter comeback for the Broncos again.
- 2:35:46Speaker 5: It's their trap card.
- 2:35:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:35:47Speaker 5: All right. Well, I caught your wire system. What's going on?
- 2:35:59Speaker 2: No, I mean, again, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm just thinking
- 2:36:02Speaker 2: about this game and.
- 2:36:05Speaker 5: I'm worried because Brandon keeps cutting your wire off for
- 2:36:07Speaker 5: some reason.
- 2:36:08Speaker 2: Why does he have to keep cutting my wire? Beats me.
- 2:36:17Speaker 3: Yeah, beats me too.
- 2:36:20Speaker 4: I'm over here thinking pretty hard about this game myself. Honestly,
- 2:36:23Speaker 4: I think it's the Rams in this game.
- 2:36:26Speaker 5: Are we sure Ravens Cowboys and Raiders Saints are the
- 2:36:29Speaker 5: hard picks? I think this one might be the harder one.
- 2:36:31Speaker 4: Oh, no. No, I definitely have a harder time with
- 2:36:33Speaker 4: the Raiders game. I'm just over here looking at their data.
- 2:36:36Speaker 4: But no, I definitely think this is a Rams game
- 2:36:39Speaker 4: for sure.
- 2:36:40Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, I got to go with the Rams on
- 2:36:48Speaker 3: this one.
- 2:36:51Speaker 5: Don't come laughing at me whenever Broncos make the fourth
- 2:36:54Speaker 5: quarter comeback.
- 2:36:55Speaker 4: I will make sure to find this podcast and clip
- 2:37:02Speaker 4: that exact sound bit right there whenever the Rams win.
- 2:37:07Speaker 5: I don't know i i have to own up to
- 2:37:09Speaker 5: it but i'm just saying don't be surprised to do
- 2:37:11Speaker 5: it again because that's an ender motto i.
- 2:37:15Speaker 4: Know for sure so and so did we so nova
- 2:37:19Speaker 4: picked denver talent you also picked the rams right.
- 2:37:24Speaker 2: Yep i did Alright, awesome.
- 2:37:27Speaker 4: So where does that leave us at, Nova?
- 2:37:30Speaker 5: Eagles-Bears, and I want to kick this off by saying
- 2:37:33Speaker 5: that Case Keenum could be starting for the Bears.
- 2:37:36Speaker 2: Case Keenum could be starting for the Bears.
- 2:37:40Speaker 5: And the only reason this is happening is because Tyson
- 2:37:42Speaker 5: Bajent is apparently in concussion protocol.
- 2:37:47Speaker 3: Of course he is.
- 2:37:51Speaker 5: Okay, I'm pretty sure this rule is not going to
- 2:37:53Speaker 5: apply to me as much as it applies to Talon.
- 2:37:55Speaker 5: I have different various thoughts. Well, we know Case Keenum's starting,
- 2:38:00Speaker 5: but which Case Keenum are we getting is where I'm
- 2:38:03Speaker 5: stuck at. Because if you get the Case Keenum that
- 2:38:05Speaker 5: doesn't play well, the Eagles win this by a landslide. However,
- 2:38:08Speaker 5: the Eagles have no offensive self-destruction. And this is in
- 2:38:11Speaker 5: Soldier Field, too.
- 2:38:15Speaker 3: This is in Soldier Field. But I'm picking the Eagles.
- 2:38:20Speaker 3: I mean, at least one has their starting quarterback. The
- 2:38:23Speaker 3: other one doesn't.
- 2:38:25Speaker 4: They're down to the third string.
- 2:38:28Speaker 2: On the road to victory.
- 2:38:35Speaker 5: Fine, I'll pick the Eagles.
- 2:38:39Speaker 2: All right, Brandon, do you want to do the chant
- 2:38:41Speaker 2: or should I do the chant?
- 2:38:43Speaker 4: Please don't.
- 2:38:44Speaker 3: Hey! A, G, L, E, S.
- 2:38:56Speaker 4: I will never do a Philly chain in any fucking sport.
- 2:39:01Speaker 5: Get ready to learn LeBron James, buddy.
- 2:39:04Speaker 2: Get ready to learn LeBron James, buddy.
- 2:39:06Speaker 4: Look, on that note, I don't give a fuck about
- 2:39:09Speaker 4: LeBron James. I'm more worried about the Jalen Brown revenge game.
- 2:39:16Speaker 5: Fair. How's it?
- 2:39:17Speaker 4: As a Celtics fan, I am more worried about the
- 2:39:18Speaker 4: Jalen Brown revenge game because that man's fixing to drop
- 2:39:21Speaker 4: 50 on us, and it's fine. He deserves it.
- 2:39:27Speaker 2: Yeah, he deserves it.
- 2:39:29Speaker 3: But with that untold, that is all the games for
- 2:39:35Speaker 3: week three.
- 2:39:36Speaker 2: So before we get out of here, guys, let's ruffle
- 2:39:39Speaker 2: some feathers.
- 2:39:42Speaker 5: I already did mine. Tell them to lead us all.
- 2:39:48Speaker 3: All right, I'm going to lead us off on this one,
- 2:39:50Speaker 3: and I'm going to say that.
- 2:39:57Speaker 3: Let me see. Which game can I royally piss people
- 2:40:01Speaker 3: off on?
- 2:40:02Speaker 4: Um....
- 2:40:14Speaker 5: While you think about that one, I'll repeat my pick.
- 2:40:17Speaker 5: I think the Vikings blow out the Buccaneers by at
- 2:40:20Speaker 5: least three scores.
- 2:40:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that one actually could happen, and that might actually
- 2:40:28Speaker 3: be enough to cost Todd Bowles' job.
- 2:40:33Speaker 5: I expect they're going to booze around Raymond James Stadium
- 2:40:35Speaker 5: as much as they were in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
- 2:40:39Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know.
- 2:40:41Speaker 4: Oh....
- 2:40:43Speaker 2: Brandon, that one might actually be a lot tougher.
- 2:40:46Speaker 4: Yeah, just a bit.
- 2:40:47Speaker 5: They coincide with one each other. Don't worry.
- 2:40:53Speaker 2: You know what? I will actually... I'll go this route
- 2:40:59Speaker 2: even though I picked them to win.
- 2:41:03Speaker 3: And Brandon, again, forgive me, Father, for I have sinned
- 2:41:07Speaker 3: on what I'm about to say.
- 2:41:08Speaker 2: I'm going to say Dak Prescott throws.
- 2:41:11Speaker 5: for at.
- 2:41:12Speaker 3: Least 400 yards against the Ravens defense.
- 2:41:15Speaker 5: What the hell, man? That's a bold take.
- 2:41:22Speaker 4: That's a really bold take.
- 2:41:24Speaker 5: Why do you hate me?
- 2:41:27Speaker 3: I don't know. All I know is that I'm going
- 2:41:30Speaker 3: to hate myself watching that game because we're going to be.
- 2:41:33Speaker 2: Forced, the three of us, to listen all game to.
- 2:41:41Speaker 2: Here we go!
- 2:41:44Speaker 3: God, I hate that fucking.
- 2:41:45Speaker 2: I fucking hate that cadence.
- 2:41:48Speaker 5: Wouldn't the real crowd blanket?
- 2:41:51Speaker 2: Why would they blanket?
- 2:41:53Speaker 5: Because they're cheering for either side. It's an international game.
- 2:41:59Speaker 3: Uh maybe but i i think the cap i forget
- 2:42:05Speaker 3: what was i i forget off the top of my
- 2:42:08Speaker 3: head but i remember the nfl had international rights.
- 2:42:13Speaker 5: Uh uh.
- 2:42:16Speaker 3: Yeah program for for 2026.
- 2:42:20Speaker 4: What is happening with your audio talon you're messing with
- 2:42:24Speaker 4: it brandon I'm really not. You started fading out. You
- 2:42:28Speaker 4: sound like an old-timey speaker for a second.
- 2:42:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:42:33Speaker 4: That was the first time I've heard that.
- 2:42:37Speaker 3: I wonder if you're hearing my dog scratching into her bed.
- 2:42:41Speaker 4: No, you actually sounded like you were talking through a
- 2:42:43Speaker 4: different device altogether. But anyhow.
- 2:42:49Speaker 3: You know, I gotta figure... I'll have to figure that out.
- 2:42:53Speaker 3: and everything, but I'm looking at the, the global market
- 2:42:56Speaker 3: program and, uh, yeah. Oh wait, Brazil, Brazil has lions, dolphins, Eagles,
- 2:43:07Speaker 3: and Patriots.
- 2:43:11Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:43:13Speaker 3: So it's possible that you could still hear Dax cadence, uh,
- 2:43:23Speaker 3: All right, Brendan, what's your take?
- 2:43:27Speaker 4: For, oh, God. Look, I had a brain fart. I
- 2:43:30Speaker 4: totally forgot where we were at.
- 2:43:32Speaker 5: Where were we?
- 2:43:34Speaker 4: It's been a long day, man. It's been a long day.
- 2:43:36Speaker 4: My day's been going since 5 o'clock this morning, Eastern time.
- 2:43:39Speaker 4: And it's 1130 now.
- 2:43:41Speaker 5: Hey, guess what? We're making history with this podcast. We're
- 2:43:43Speaker 5: going over two hours, 40 minutes in this recording.
- 2:43:45Speaker 4: Oh, Jesus. Look at that.
- 2:43:47Speaker 2: Well, again, there was a gigantic rant.
- 2:43:51Speaker 4: That took up about 25 minutes of that. Yeah. I think,
- 2:43:56Speaker 4: and I think this is a reasonable hot take. So,
- 2:44:01Speaker 4: even though I picked New England to win, right? I
- 2:44:07Speaker 4: would like to say that this is the hot take
- 2:44:09Speaker 4: where Drake May gets it the fuck together. And when
- 2:44:12Speaker 4: I say I think he gets it the fuck together,
- 2:44:14Speaker 4: I think he has four TDs against Jacksonville. And I
- 2:44:19Speaker 4: think one of those... I think one of those goes
- 2:44:22Speaker 4: to Romeo Dobbs.
- 2:44:24Speaker 5: Oh, my. I thought you were going to say one
- 2:44:26Speaker 5: was going to be on Travis Hunter.
- 2:44:29Speaker 3: Oh, I mean, hey, it could be Romeo Dobbs defended
- 2:44:32Speaker 3: by Travis Hunter.
- 2:44:35Speaker 4: I'll take that one. But yeah, no, let's let's. I
- 2:44:38Speaker 4: think that's a reasonable enough hot take there. Yeah. Yeah,
- 2:44:42Speaker 4: I mean, that it's kind of mild, but, you know,
- 2:44:45Speaker 4: it's with the way our offense has been looking since
- 2:44:47Speaker 4: like late last season that it's it's kind of hot.
- 2:44:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's something out there, but... It's something.
- 2:44:57Speaker 3: It's definitely something, but we get to enjoy more football
- 2:45:00Speaker 3: this week. We get to watch some quarterbacks return. We
- 2:45:05Speaker 3: unfortunately get to watch some quarterbacks not play. We get
- 2:45:08Speaker 3: to watch a third-string quarterback play three weeks in a row, guys.
- 2:45:13Speaker 5: Except now it's on a different team.
- 2:45:16Speaker 2: Except now it's on a different team.
- 2:45:18Speaker 5: And again, as.
- 2:45:21Speaker 3: I know I forgot to throw this in my rant,
- 2:45:23Speaker 3: but I'll say this. I, I don't want Cooper rush
- 2:45:26Speaker 3: on my team anymore, but I definitely don't want to,
- 2:45:28Speaker 3: I don't want him to die.
- 2:45:32Speaker 2: Like, you know how idiots are on Twitter.
- 2:45:35Speaker 3: Like, some people were saying that they would like, if
- 2:45:37Speaker 3: they had a, I remember seeing this stupid tweet and
- 2:45:40Speaker 3: they did with the bucks too, where they're like, if
- 2:45:43Speaker 3: they have one bullet and it's between for the bucks,
- 2:45:46Speaker 3: it was Anzalone and for Atlanta was Cooper rush and Hitler.
- 2:45:52Speaker 3: They would send Anzalone or Cooper rush.
- 2:45:56Speaker 2: To hell with the bullet. They'd actually let Hitler survive.
- 2:46:01Speaker 4: Jesus. Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:46:05Speaker 3: I think it's safe to say, as we end this podcast,
- 2:46:08Speaker 3: stay off of Twitter.
- 2:46:11Speaker 4: Never.
- 2:46:13Speaker 5: No, I agree with Alan.
- 2:46:15Speaker 4: Twitter is a very dark and toxic place. Stay off
- 2:46:18Speaker 4: of Twitter.
- 2:46:19Speaker 5: Only use your following page. Never check anywhere else. Thank
- 2:46:22Speaker 5: me later.
- 2:46:26Speaker 3: I mean, honestly, I think I've been checking out the
- 2:46:30Speaker 3: new NFL feature. On my feed.
- 2:46:34Speaker 5: I have not gone into that space ever. And I
- 2:46:39Speaker 5: don't plan to.
- 2:46:44Speaker 3: Yeah, so... I mean... It's definitely... Something on Twitter. I'll
- 2:46:54Speaker 3: just say that. That's probably easy enough to say... Like
- 2:47:01Speaker 3: with Twitter, but really, look, if I'm there, I reply
- 2:47:07Speaker 3: to some people. I like certain things. But other than that,
- 2:47:11Speaker 3: I stay off.
- 2:47:17Speaker 4: It. That's probably honestly the better thing to do.
- 2:47:20Speaker 3: Yeah um but outside of that i think that's a
- 2:47:28Speaker 3: good ending point for our episode guys hard to believe
- 2:47:32Speaker 3: that next week we're going to be recording our 10th
- 2:47:35Speaker 3: episode isn't.
- 2:47:35Speaker 4: It that's crazy.
- 2:47:38Speaker 5: Hopefully we don't do three hours No, we're going to
- 2:47:41Speaker 5: do four hours next week.
- 2:47:43Speaker 5: We're not going that far.
- 2:47:45Speaker 3: No, well, you got to remember, though, we have to
- 2:47:47Speaker 3: do four hours, and then we stop in honor of
- 2:47:50Speaker 3: Jaden Daniels.
- 2:47:54Speaker 4: Look, I'm just saying, if we're going four hours, you
- 2:47:56Speaker 4: just better be prepared to hear me snoring with how
- 2:47:58Speaker 4: late we do these.
- 2:48:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:48:01Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's definitely fair. But ladies and gentlemen, thank
- 2:48:06Speaker 3: you again for listening to us just talk about the NFL,
- 2:48:11Speaker 3: have a little bit of fun, have a little bit.
- 2:48:13Speaker 2: Of ranting, have a lot of ranting.
- 2:48:18Speaker 3: You know it's a bad day when Nova and I
- 2:48:21Speaker 3: are the angry people and Brandon's just sitting there twiddling
- 2:48:25Speaker 3: his thumbs and humming kumbaya and.
- 2:48:29Speaker 2: having a great day at our expense.
- 2:48:32Speaker 4: Absolutely. As I literally have been sitting over here in
- 2:48:36Speaker 4: the midst of all of this, doing homework and low-key
- 2:48:39Speaker 4: playing a game of Pokemon Champions here and there. I
- 2:48:44Speaker 4: managed to get a game in whenever Talon was ranting.
- 2:48:49Speaker 2: Think about that.
- 2:48:50Speaker 3: And the amount of times it took me to rant,
- 2:48:53Speaker 3: Brandon was able to play a Pokemon champions battle on
- 2:48:58Speaker 3: his Switch, mind you, because I don't think he did
- 2:49:00Speaker 3: on his phone.
- 2:49:01Speaker 4: No, it was on my phone. No, it was on
- 2:49:03Speaker 4: my phone. I'm on a 13-game win streak currently. So thanks, Talon.
- 2:49:08Speaker 2: Well, you're welcome on that.
- 2:49:10Speaker 3: But ladies and gentlemen, if you do like this podcast,

- 2:50:09Speaker 5: I don't think I can, honestly. I'll be in the
- 2:50:11Speaker 5: middle of class.
- 2:50:15Speaker 4: Look at that letdown.
- 2:50:19Speaker 3: I mean, the... I.
- 2:50:21Speaker 4: Mean, it.
- 2:50:22Speaker 3: It's out there. But, yeah, I mean, I will be
- 2:50:25Speaker 3: live for that game alongside something else that I'm doing
