Transcript
- 0:08Are you here for the story? Yes, there are wolves. Yep, witches. Uh, no trolls. Oh wait, I take that back. It's not a real troll though.
- 0:23Romance? You bet. Epic. Enemies to lovers. Romantasy kind of romance, eventually. But it starts with a girl, and a secret, and an integrated campus, although the humans are clueless.
- 0:38Why am I reading this for free to people? Because a lot of people listen to audiobooks instead of read, but audiobooks can be expensive to produce and acquire and I wanted this story to be available to people who can't read due to time constraints or other challenges.
- 0:54You can, of course, buy the books if you want. All seven books in the Curse of the Hybrid series are available in print and ebook. I plan to read about an hour every week.
- 1:05The first installment will be up soon, so hit that follow button now so you never miss a chapter. And now, a brief excerpt.
- 1:14“Okay, spill. What’s your age.” “Fourteen.” Lynn lifted her hands as if she was saying a prayer, then picked up a pen. “You are a freshman then.” “Mmm, not really. I was homeschooled.” “Home-schooled?” Lynn said it like she’d never heard of such a thing. “Yes.” “For how long?” “Forever.” It wasn’t worth mentioning that she’d gone to high school for one day. Lynn might be able to figure out where she’d come from.
- 1:48Lynn put her pen down. “You’ve never been to a formal school?” “No.” She guessed Lynn wouldn’t count gymnastics or martial arts or pottery class and she didn’t need to know about those anyway. Lynn leaned back in her chair. “I guess we’ll just have to get you tested. We might have to put you with some younger kids so you can get caught up.” “But they already tested me.” “Who did?” “The high school. My mom was going to let me go to high school but they didn’t know what grade to put me in so they made me take the SAT.” “And,” Lynn said, “What did you get?”
- 2:24That's it for now. Until next time. And I am your storyteller.
