- 0:07Speaker 1: Where the plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:11Speaker 1: The Bitch Hour two of Off the Bench Live from
- 0:14Speaker 1: the Mercedes Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:39Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in nour number two of Coach
- 0:42Speaker 3: t b here on this Tuesday morning. I like how
- 0:45Speaker 3: every time we play that rejoined, Jordan's like, tonight science.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Well, I don't get it, Jordan. I told you we're
- 0:52Speaker 4: not sheep.
- 0:52Speaker 5: Look, we're not sap.
- 0:55Speaker 6: It should say questions sign you'll flat out tonight, we
- 0:58Speaker 6: don't flat out deny it.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, it's just the flat out denied sciences.
- 1:02Speaker 5: I just can't. I can't get jiggy with that.
- 1:03Speaker 7: Now, were not bad science, Yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 5: You know, it's it's levels to it. You know, you
- 1:07Speaker 5: don't want to be a quack with it. But you
- 1:09Speaker 5: also got to be like, you know, maybe alcohol does
- 1:13Speaker 5: clean out wounds.
- 1:14Speaker 4: You know, maybe it does.
- 1:15Speaker 5: You know, there's a couple of some things out there
- 1:17Speaker 5: that you can say it does.
- 1:19Speaker 2: You can use context because we deny bad science. When
- 1:21Speaker 2: I say bad science, I mean like the science where
- 1:25Speaker 2: they're trying to tell you something. Yeah, and they don't
- 1:29Speaker 2: want questions. Yeah, and they don't want the questions. They're
- 1:32Speaker 2: just like, yeah, this is it, Well, why why is
- 1:35Speaker 2: that it?
- 1:35Speaker 7: Just do it? Yeah, that's the that's the science.
- 1:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you just you gotta just respect further research. Don't
- 1:40Speaker 5: just be don't believe everything.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I guess you weren't a big listener when we had
- 1:43Speaker 2: this whole Indian Mound argument that lasted multiple weeks.
- 1:47Speaker 5: I'll be sleeping a little bit, you know, early, little
- 1:51Speaker 5: early a listener.
- 1:53Speaker 3: All right, let's go ahead and get into a little
- 1:56Speaker 3: OTB mailbag.
- 1:59Speaker 5: I help this special delivery from the bench.
- 2:01Speaker 4: And look it is marked most urgent writing to you.
- 2:05Speaker 5: What the is the internet.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Hashtag? Oh TB mail bag? Can we get a good
- 2:20Speaker 3: station beef? Going on with a f R since he
- 2:23Speaker 3: took credit for the steak you sent JJ during yesterday's interview, Oh.
- 2:29Speaker 4: I didn't hear that.
- 2:30Speaker 6: I gotta I gotta go back and listen that that
- 2:33Speaker 6: can't be real the judgment.
- 2:35Speaker 4: We have to go listen. This guy can belying, be real.
- 2:37Speaker 4: He did not take credit for this.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Now we should believe it, just so we get mad.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Let's start some beefs.
- 2:42Speaker 5: I mean that camp not gonna lie. I did do
- 2:45Speaker 5: an fr yesterday.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Yeah, what happened? Did he take credit?
- 2:50Speaker 5: Decided he did talk about a steak. I'm not gonna
- 2:53Speaker 5: make claims on who cleaned the stake, but there was
- 2:56Speaker 5: a steak brought up. Yes, there was a stake brought up.
- 2:58Speaker 4: All up.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to go back and listen to this because,
- 3:02Speaker 3: believe you me, we pull there was one person that
- 3:07Speaker 3: sent him a full meal from Flemings, and Flynn is
- 3:12Speaker 3: the one that did it.
- 3:13Speaker 4: It was not Moscona.
- 3:15Speaker 3: If he know Stitch yet, if he's took credit, if
- 3:18Speaker 3: he took any like, because how did you even know
- 3:20Speaker 3: about it? If he took any credit. We got receipts
- 3:23Speaker 3: got him. We got receipts with the order on him.
- 3:26Speaker 3: We got receipts with it being delivered at the front desk,
- 3:28Speaker 3: and we got receipts getting the information from the right people,
- 3:33Speaker 3: and we got receipts from the head coach himself.
- 3:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I was trying to write a little note on it,
- 3:38Speaker 2: like hey, send it with him. So this is this
- 3:39Speaker 2: is through door dash, Hey you know TMO TV. Blah
- 3:42Speaker 2: blah blah, I thought you deserved a steak.
- 3:45Speaker 7: But you can't do it on there. You can't write
- 3:47Speaker 7: like an actual note.
- 3:48Speaker 4: It's a digital And that's why we had had to
- 3:50Speaker 4: like digital.
- 3:51Speaker 7: Thank you know that. It's like you got to put
- 3:53Speaker 7: in a cell phone, NU where to text it to you?
- 3:55Speaker 3: And we had we we knew what room he was in,
- 3:57Speaker 3: but we didn't want to like I just felt like
- 4:00Speaker 3: I felt like a step too far.
- 4:01Speaker 6: Also, we gotta understand this is from nookie in the
- 4:04Speaker 6: chat love my guy. I don't know if I don't
- 4:08Speaker 6: know if he's the most reliable source.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Is he too close to the case.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Yeah, he's only too close to the case.
- 4:15Speaker 4: I'm gonna city to turn in his badge.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it didn't happen.
- 4:20Speaker 6: I'm gonna give him that.
- 4:21Speaker 3: No.
- 4:21Speaker 4: No, I believe in you, brother, You've been here since
- 4:23Speaker 4: day one. I believe in you.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I'm not gonna Christian Bale and you like tat just
- 4:28Speaker 3: did I believe in you?
- 4:29Speaker 4: Sir?
- 4:31Speaker 3: Uh hat to go to b mailbag is hester less
- 4:37Speaker 3: gritty in his old agents. He got power controlled blinds
- 4:40Speaker 3: from Kate Ze in his backyard instead.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Of choosing Craik option. Oh that's a great question.
- 4:48Speaker 3: They're they're so easy, they're they're like literally all jokes
- 4:52Speaker 3: aside go South, great question, by the way, Like it's
- 4:55Speaker 3: the remote is in like our top drawer, like where
- 4:58Speaker 3: the keys and wall? You know, Hey, everybody's got the
- 4:59Speaker 3: top or like the remotes in there. And I don't
- 5:02Speaker 3: even have to point it, Like I go, I opened
- 5:03Speaker 3: the drawer and I just hit down and it's like
- 5:07Speaker 3: it's ten to fifteen feet away from the screen and
- 5:09Speaker 3: just you hear like the little buzz. I'll lose a
- 5:13Speaker 3: little grit. I'll I get it. But it is very convenient.
- 5:17Speaker 8: Look, it's all about working smarter, not harder. So I
- 5:20Speaker 8: don't like that, you know, not for grit. You know,
- 5:23Speaker 8: usually grit is like harder, not smarter at all. But
- 5:27Speaker 8: there are some modern conveniences in life.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Yeah, Jacob's taking a complete advantage of And yes, so
- 5:34Speaker 2: he is forty, so are you. I am a fresh forty.
- 5:40Speaker 2: A couple of days, shout out to my birthday too,
- 5:43Speaker 2: on the summer solstice, longest.
- 5:46Speaker 7: Daylight of the year.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I like that today now, last Friday was summer Solstice,
- 5:52Speaker 2: which was my birthday. It's pretty will my wife has
- 5:56Speaker 2: her birthday pretty much six months to the day opposite
- 6:00Speaker 2: of mine.
- 6:00Speaker 7: She's December nineteenth, so.
- 6:01Speaker 2: It's my dad and we always kind of say, because
- 6:04Speaker 2: we're like complete opposites on a lot of things. If
- 6:06Speaker 2: she she's gonna turn left, I would definitely turn right. Yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 2: And so her birthday usually falls on the shortest day
- 6:13Speaker 2: of the year the year, so yeah, it's.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Uh, you always got to one up everybody go.
- 6:22Speaker 6: Your birthday so far has been my favorite office birthday,
- 6:25Speaker 6: and the reason is so many people brought Matt sweets.
- 6:29Speaker 7: Yeah, he left like before.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Half of them just for everybody else.
- 6:33Speaker 6: So like me, Moose and Jordan's who don't care about ourselves,
- 6:37Speaker 6: we ain't sweets like all day on Friday.
- 6:39Speaker 7: It was actually I.
- 6:39Speaker 9: Don't care about I don't know how I got the
- 6:42Speaker 9: straight right there, George Sweety.
- 6:51Speaker 5: The cookies look good.
- 6:53Speaker 4: He's gets on that.
- 6:56Speaker 7: Don't pull that. It wasn't me.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Don't be the guy I really wanted to call him,
- 7:00Speaker 4: But I love this one.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Would you take losing in the College World Series to
- 7:06Speaker 3: Arkansas next year? But you beat Tennessee in the College
- 7:09Speaker 3: World Series in twenty twenty seven, so you lose in
- 7:12Speaker 3: the Championship Series to Arkansas and O six, but you
- 7:15Speaker 3: would beat Tennessee in twenty seven, I mean to guarantee
- 7:21Speaker 3: another national championship.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you don't lose Arkansas, I means you
- 7:27Speaker 2: beat Arkansas the Championship Series.
- 7:29Speaker 4: But then you make But then you would beat Arkansas
- 7:31Speaker 4: lose to Tennessee.
- 7:32Speaker 3: If I lost the National Championship Series, I would rather
- 7:36Speaker 3: be to Arkansas than the Tennessee.
- 7:38Speaker 7: Tennessee I would agree with that.
- 7:39Speaker 5: Tennessee easily has the worst fan.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Tennessee fans got like, you know, good at baseball, Like
- 7:46Speaker 3: you know they got I don't want to like disrespect
- 7:48Speaker 3: they got.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Look they got to a point respect.
- 7:50Speaker 3: But now they're finding out, Oh this is really hard
- 7:53Speaker 3: to stay at this level and not dip down. Oh
- 7:55Speaker 3: this is real. Oh that's We're not a blue blood,
- 7:59Speaker 3: We're just good.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what they're funny.
- 8:01Speaker 6: So many people are like, oh, well, Tennessee is the
- 8:04Speaker 6: new standard of college baseball because they had two years
- 8:06Speaker 6: of hotness. I'm not going to mention anybody. Brandon Walker,
- 8:09Speaker 6: but the other day him a team Bob we having
- 8:11Speaker 6: an argument. He's like, hey, Johnson's not as good of
- 8:13Speaker 6: a coach as Tony Vittello, get out of here.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Man. Vittella had one run.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Yeah, let's see what I said the other day. He
- 8:18Speaker 4: had a run.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I'm not saying he won't make another one, but right
- 8:20Speaker 3: now he has a run. Like getting to Omaha is great.
- 8:24Speaker 3: It is not the standard. Like when we were in school,
- 8:27Speaker 3: Smoke went to Omaha a couple of times.
- 8:30Speaker 4: And he didn't last very long. That is not the
- 8:32Speaker 4: standard here.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Getting to Omaha is okay, let's talk part of the price.
- 8:39Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a step.
- 8:41Speaker 2: But if we beat them in the Championship Series in
- 8:43Speaker 2: two years, that means they made it.
- 8:44Speaker 7: I would rather them not even make it. And we
- 8:46Speaker 7: don't like Tennessee. And let me get this straight, don't
- 8:51Speaker 7: get it twisted.
- 8:52Speaker 2: It's not like one of these we hate Alabama because
- 8:54Speaker 2: they went on a run and they beat us a lot.
- 8:56Speaker 2: We don't hate you because you're good and because you've
- 8:59Speaker 2: beaten us.
- 9:00Speaker 7: We just hate you because you're very hat it's just annoying.
- 9:06Speaker 5: And everybody, all the bulls, they got some type of
- 9:08Speaker 5: bowl in their name, orange, like every little count some
- 9:11Speaker 5: type of bowl or denimal orange.
- 9:13Speaker 7: Yeah, so don't get it twisted, Tennessee.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It's not like billboard material that they hate us because
- 9:18Speaker 2: they ain't U type situation. Now we hate you because
- 9:21Speaker 2: you just nobody likes you.
- 9:23Speaker 7: Really go home?
- 9:24Speaker 4: Hashtag o TOB mailbag.
- 9:25Speaker 3: What's the most agreed upon scientific fact that you deny?
- 9:31Speaker 3: I question? I question, what is in aerosol sunscreen all
- 9:36Speaker 3: the time?
- 9:37Speaker 4: Again?
- 9:38Speaker 7: Is it just the aerosol?
- 9:39Speaker 4: Mostly the aerosol?
- 9:40Speaker 3: Yeah, but also if it can block the sun, which
- 9:44Speaker 3: is pretty powerful. Don't know if y'all know that, Like,
- 9:47Speaker 3: what's really in sunscreen?
- 9:49Speaker 4: Now?
- 9:49Speaker 3: There's better certainly companies that do it and try to
- 9:51Speaker 3: do it in the most natural way that you can.
- 9:54Speaker 3: But again, and look, I the sun can do some
- 9:59Speaker 3: real damage. I know that as well. But I'm just
- 10:01Speaker 3: asking ask the questions. You know, what is that really
- 10:05Speaker 3: putting into your body?
- 10:06Speaker 7: So you're okay, a little bit more okay with the lotions.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's more of the aerosols that concern you a
- 10:12Speaker 2: little bit. Yeah, huh, that's interesting, Okay, I can buy that. Yeah,
- 10:18Speaker 2: my question. There's a lot of things I question. I
- 10:20Speaker 2: guess a.
- 10:22Speaker 7: Lot of it.
- 10:23Speaker 2: A lot of food science, processed food. There's a lot
- 10:26Speaker 2: of things out there that uh, you know, big companies
- 10:30Speaker 2: tell you it's good for you. That is just absolutely
- 10:33Speaker 2: dog poo for you. Carbon dating certainly all the Indian
- 10:37Speaker 2: mounds definitely millions years old.
- 10:40Speaker 4: How do we know?
- 10:41Speaker 2: It's like one of those things that they tell you
- 10:43Speaker 2: is true and then like nobody.
- 10:44Speaker 5: You can't question it, like what they say the smart stuff.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like all right, yeah, how can those could
- 10:50Speaker 3: have been pushed together in like seventeen nine?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Oh carbon puts it, you know, in between thirty five
- 10:55Speaker 2: and forty thousand years ago?
- 10:56Speaker 7: Yeah, I aint, But how do you know?
- 11:01Speaker 4: T bobs punching the air in Chicago right now listening
- 11:03Speaker 4: to this, and.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I don't really have any scientific facts to back that question,
- 11:07Speaker 2: just like just common sense.
- 11:09Speaker 7: And reason.
- 11:11Speaker 6: Deep really, yeah, you're you're a sheep. You know, anybody
- 11:17Speaker 6: even dug it up? What if that's just the hill? Yeah,
- 11:20Speaker 6: that's what that's. That was the question, like this out
- 11:25Speaker 6: and freaking livings. Then we got this giant hill. Okay,
- 11:28Speaker 6: it's just the trash dun't Okay.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Some guy named Randy built that to do some dirt
- 11:33Speaker 3: bike ramp stuff.
- 11:34Speaker 6: Thousand years from now, that's gonna be the story and
- 11:36Speaker 6: they're gonna be like living still Louisiana like the dirt
- 11:39Speaker 6: bike Capitol sure was still right here.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Nobody's gonna know where the hell that came from.
- 11:43Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:44Speaker 2: The question, I think how we got to the question
- 11:46Speaker 2: and the hills was it's like it's the oldest man
- 11:48Speaker 2: made thing, blah blah blah. And I'm like, it's a
- 11:50Speaker 2: hill like and it's made of dirt, right, so the
- 11:54Speaker 2: dirt is old? Yeah, how can you tell that dirt?
- 12:00Speaker 2: He got to a long line of question. Yeah, we did,
- 12:02Speaker 2: like whole hours, you know, long time to make.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Uh hash that go to be mail bag. I know
- 12:10Speaker 3: Flynn bought some on It cards this weekend. Do you
- 12:13Speaker 3: think that brand has long term value?
- 12:17Speaker 7: Oh? No, well on IT brand.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I mean it could be because if they continue to
- 12:23Speaker 2: be one of the only college sports. But I know
- 12:27Speaker 2: there's some other There's some like Bowman, there's some other
- 12:30Speaker 2: big brands out there that are tapping in and doing
- 12:33Speaker 2: some university and college stuff.
- 12:37Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 12:38Speaker 2: It sounds like a pretty hard market to be successful
- 12:40Speaker 2: in since like two companies.
- 12:42Speaker 7: Pretty much own everything. So I guess their.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Market value would be to build their brand and get
- 12:47Speaker 2: to sell the tops or panini. That's what you know
- 12:52Speaker 2: that's what I would do. But I mean they got
- 12:54Speaker 2: some cool looking cards.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I hadn't seen a whole lot of Yeah, I just
- 13:00Speaker 3: I've literally only seen the ones you brought in.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't seen many of them either, But I think,
- 13:05Speaker 2: like you think they like, it's just all COLLEGI correct
- 13:08Speaker 2: this if I if I'm wrong there, correct, that's in
- 13:10Speaker 2: the chat here. But I'm pretty sure it's all university
- 13:13Speaker 2: college and it's very you know, it's the only people
- 13:16Speaker 2: I think making them outside of Tops and Panini.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, this is from William. This has been bugging me
- 13:23Speaker 3: for years. I've been nagged at by who Jacob Ester
- 13:27Speaker 3: reminds me of. It's good guy Greg Meme guy, Good guy,
- 13:32Speaker 3: Greg Meme Guy.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Gosh, I wish I knew that was good Greg guy Greg.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Let's seeho this is?
- 13:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I got a little bit more hair than Greg,
- 13:46Speaker 3: but yeah, a little.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Bit, a little gritty picture, a little bit.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Never seen that meme though, meme games must be really bad.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Never seen that one. This's gotta be like early twenty ten.
- 14:00Speaker 3: O TB mail bag. Who was the most underrated player
- 14:05Speaker 3: that either one of you ever played with? It could
- 14:07Speaker 3: be college or pros. This one hit me up on
- 14:09Speaker 3: Twitter verse, so they really want to know the answer.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Uh so my most play with so many and this
- 14:17Speaker 2: one's gonna some people might roll your eyes because he
- 14:20Speaker 2: was highly thought of, but he's not as highly thought
- 14:23Speaker 2: of as he should be. Who you're gonna say, yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 2: you can think you Jordy Nelson. Jordy Nelson, wide receiver,
- 14:30Speaker 2: Green Bay Packers. Currently just a straight up farmer in
- 14:35Speaker 2: Kansas right now?
- 14:36Speaker 4: Really?
- 14:36Speaker 7: Oh yeah, oh yeah, a farmer. Yeah yeah.
- 14:39Speaker 2: So him and his wife, they owned a bunch of
- 14:41Speaker 2: that their their families owned a bunch of farmland.
- 14:43Speaker 7: He bought some more farmland. Man, they just farm up there.
- 14:45Speaker 4: That's a good one.
- 14:46Speaker 6: We have talked about Jordi off the air, and you're
- 14:48Speaker 6: just making me like him more like Nelson highlights.
- 14:52Speaker 7: After the ship.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I remember one the wide receiver cor would always get
- 14:55Speaker 2: together in the off season, and one time he brought
- 14:57Speaker 2: them down to their farm and it was funny because
- 14:59Speaker 2: you had like, you know, James Jones and Donald Driver,
- 15:02Speaker 2: Greg Jenians all putting like the big.
- 15:04Speaker 7: Arm glove on, you know how.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Hands. Oh yeah, they were doing all that stuff. They
- 15:11Speaker 2: put him through the farmer combine for sure. But yeah, man,
- 15:15Speaker 2: one of the most underrated players to me in the
- 15:18Speaker 2: history of the NFL.
- 15:20Speaker 7: Wow. Well, I mean I'm very.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Biased, no, I know, but like a guy that never
- 15:24Speaker 2: gets brought up in any of the conversation. And of
- 15:26Speaker 2: course he like you know, he had a huge receiver,
- 15:28Speaker 2: like a great receiving course, so he wasn't like the
- 15:30Speaker 2: only guy.
- 15:31Speaker 7: So he had gaudy.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Stats in like spots and times, but it got spread
- 15:36Speaker 2: around so much that never had like some super super
- 15:40Speaker 2: gaudy season long stats. But man, a guy that nobody
- 15:44Speaker 2: wanted to cover nobody, I don't care who you are
- 15:47Speaker 2: on defense, and a guy that was deceptively fast. People
- 15:52Speaker 2: took bad angles at him all the time. I don't know,
- 15:54Speaker 2: because he was like a long legged, like white guy.
- 15:56Speaker 2: He just like under It didn't look like he was
- 15:58Speaker 2: running fast, but man, he was covering round and could
- 16:01Speaker 2: catch everything. Strong farmer strong Yeah literally.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Uh. In college, I'll say Dick Dixon was probably the
- 16:12Speaker 3: most underrated. I know, he held like every record before
- 16:15Speaker 3: Mason Taylor, but I still never felt like Richard Dixon
- 16:19Speaker 3: got the love that he should have, Like he changed
- 16:22Speaker 3: the tight end position. I think in a lot of
- 16:23Speaker 3: ways for LSU because he was really like a combination
- 16:27Speaker 3: Y and F where l should really only had y
- 16:29Speaker 3: tight ends with their hands in the dirt, and Richard
- 16:31Speaker 3: was kind of the first one that could kind of
- 16:33Speaker 3: flex out do some F stuff and so certainly.
- 16:36Speaker 7: Certainly one of the best that Lshu's had.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I think, yeah, top three without question.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Had some unfortunate injuries and stuff like that they d
- 16:43Speaker 2: especially when he was in Detroit. He was I think
- 16:46Speaker 2: as a rookie in Detroit. By the end of training again,
- 16:50Speaker 2: undrafted rookie, he was running with the ones at full back.
- 16:55Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Yeah, like just an h back.
- 16:57Speaker 7: Yep, and then got hurt.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Yeah, comes back the next year, Yeah, doing the same
- 17:01Speaker 2: thing fourth preseason game, at the end of the fourth
- 17:03Speaker 2: preseason game, yep.
- 17:06Speaker 7: I think, same injury, right, injury.
- 17:08Speaker 3: So so I go dig Dixon into LSU and I
- 17:10Speaker 3: go Vincent Jackson in the NFL.
- 17:12Speaker 4: VJ was a good duge.
- 17:15Speaker 3: He had some great years in Tampa as well, but
- 17:17Speaker 3: it never felt like he got put in that conversation,
- 17:20Speaker 3: even though every year he had a thousand.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Yards incredible teammate.
- 17:24Speaker 3: UH grew up until he was middle school age in
- 17:27Speaker 3: Leesville Louisiana.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Military bratt.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Yeah, and so then moved to Colorado right before he
- 17:35Speaker 3: goes to high school.
- 17:36Speaker 4: And that's how he ends up at Northern Colorado played
- 17:38Speaker 4: basketball there as well.
- 17:40Speaker 3: J was a great player, such a good I mean,
- 17:42Speaker 3: would do the dirty stuff too, and no other number
- 17:45Speaker 3: one receiver really wanted to do. And he always kind
- 17:47Speaker 3: of he had like an undrafted free agent mentality even
- 17:50Speaker 3: though he was the second round pick.
- 17:51Speaker 4: So yeah, I'll go VJ.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Guy, I'd go LSU days.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Yeah, Brett Helms, Oh that's a good one.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Our center, ye in two thousand and seven. I think
- 18:03Speaker 2: two thousand and eight was his senior year. Yeah, one
- 18:07Speaker 2: never got the accolades that he deserved. But in my opinion,
- 18:11Speaker 2: and of course I didn't study him, and I'm a
- 18:13Speaker 2: biased guy again, but the best college center in the
- 18:17Speaker 2: year two thousand and seven never got kind of a
- 18:20Speaker 2: fair shake in the NFL went undrafted.
- 18:24Speaker 3: What have Like when we left LSU and O seven,
- 18:28Speaker 3: if you would have said, give me a guy that's
- 18:30Speaker 3: gonna play eight years guaranteed in the NFL, I would
- 18:33Speaker 3: have said, Brettelms, no doubt.
- 18:34Speaker 2: And I saw that so much in the NFL too,
- 18:36Speaker 2: guys that were You know, Brett wouldn't overly sized height
- 18:39Speaker 2: wise or anything like that, but at the position he played.
- 18:43Speaker 2: So there are so many centers I saw come through
- 18:45Speaker 2: the NFL that fit his mold.
- 18:48Speaker 4: We had and Nick Hardwick was our center.
- 18:49Speaker 3: He was the same size and same like grip streams
- 18:52Speaker 3: and stuff as brettelm J C.
- 18:54Speaker 7: Treader Corey Linsley, I.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Played with Dan Copen and Denver. He was kind of
- 18:59Speaker 3: built just like that he Brady Center in New England.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Yeah, same building.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they all kind of fit that mold.
- 19:06Speaker 2: But man, he was such a good player that they
- 19:09Speaker 2: probably the most the rowdiest grip strength you've ever seen
- 19:14Speaker 2: in your life. But yeah, he was a great player
- 19:16Speaker 2: and didn't get his fair shake in the NFL.
- 19:18Speaker 7: I think he has injuries too.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Yeah, that was your right, and look it's hard to
- 19:23Speaker 4: make it.
- 19:24Speaker 7: You have that right perfect time.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Timing and a little bit of luck.
- 19:29Speaker 2: He probably didn't probably healthy, he'd probably be the first intel.
- 19:31Speaker 2: He probably didn't choose the right path when he chose
- 19:34Speaker 2: his free agent destinies.
- 19:38Speaker 7: That's also, yeah, you do have to get in the
- 19:39Speaker 7: right situation.
- 19:40Speaker 2: You have to have good guards, like we always we
- 19:41Speaker 2: were able to fit in a guy like that, a
- 19:44Speaker 2: smaller sized but intelligent and strong center because we had
- 19:49Speaker 2: two pro bowl guards on the side right, so they
- 19:51Speaker 2: could they could cover up right some more space. But
- 19:57Speaker 2: then they get to the guy. Then they get to
- 19:58Speaker 2: a situation where like I can I'm so good at center.
- 20:01Speaker 2: If they get that experience, like you can put you know,
- 20:04Speaker 2: some rookie guards around me right anyway?
- 20:07Speaker 3: Good question hashtag go to the mail bag. Did you
- 20:10Speaker 3: see the picture of t Bob at Omaha? He cannot
- 20:13Speaker 3: escape the tiny hands and feet accusations. Now there's photo evidence.
- 20:17Speaker 3: It is what it is. I mean, I love our guy,
- 20:20Speaker 3: he's my boy, Love him to death, to the core.
- 20:23Speaker 3: He's got tiny hands and tiny feet.
- 20:25Speaker 7: At some point you gotta, like some point you.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Just got to know thyself. Look, I.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Talk about all the time I measured five eleven at
- 20:33Speaker 3: the combine. I'm not five eleven. I'm five to ten. Like,
- 20:36Speaker 3: I don't try to steal inches there, I just not.
- 20:39Speaker 3: I don't know how I got it that day I did.
- 20:40Speaker 3: I'm five to ten and I'm good with it. He's
- 20:43Speaker 3: got nine inch hands, he's six y ford. You know
- 20:47Speaker 3: it's okay though he looks great.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Yeah, at some point you just can't like, it's not
- 20:51Speaker 2: the camera angle.
- 20:53Speaker 4: He doesn't always care the camera.
- 20:55Speaker 7: It's just the camera. I'm I'm the skybbe.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 5: I never seen it. Well, I never understood the joke
- 21:02Speaker 5: until I seen that picture and then like ta bob
- 21:04Speaker 5: pat hoofs like he was like a horse. So I
- 21:07Speaker 5: was like, oh damn, this is this is what they mean.
- 21:09Speaker 2: But you do think it's a camera angle situation at first,
- 21:13Speaker 2: and you believe that everyone's got a bad picture here
- 21:16Speaker 2: and there.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Well, it just has really big legs, so it just
- 21:19Speaker 5: makes its big. He's just got a big body with
- 21:21Speaker 5: little feet, so it makes it.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just yeah, we have do we have the picture?
- 21:26Speaker 4: Kah kyla. I don't care about that. I thought you're
- 21:33Speaker 4: pointing to the picture like now I'm not going to
- 21:36Speaker 4: break Never did you see Tops?
- 21:38Speaker 3: Apparently Matt c says Tops is going to be taking
- 21:41Speaker 3: over the rights to the NFL and NBA cards starting
- 21:44Speaker 3: in twenty twenty six from Panini.
- 21:45Speaker 7: Yeah, so they're getting a license.
- 21:46Speaker 2: So if like Tops, they can't put the logos they
- 21:50Speaker 2: can put like you know, Green Bay or New Orleans,
- 21:53Speaker 2: they can't put Saints or Packers. Now, I think that
- 21:55Speaker 2: fluctuates every year. I don't know if they're taking it
- 21:57Speaker 2: solely away from Panini or they're both going to have it.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I don't know what the NFL gains by only letting
- 22:02Speaker 2: one of them have it. You know, NFL is all
- 22:05Speaker 2: about that shield taking that money. But I think a
- 22:08Speaker 2: lot of people were disappointing the Top stuff because like
- 22:12Speaker 2: Jaden and Cad signed.
- 22:15Speaker 3: And to be honest, the cards don't like some of
- 22:20Speaker 3: them look good, but it's not because of the uniform.
- 22:23Speaker 3: The uniform looks like a bad photoshop on some TOPS
- 22:26Speaker 3: cards because you have to take all logos off. It
- 22:30Speaker 3: looks like somebody went into one of those apps where
- 22:32Speaker 3: you scrub on it and then deletes like you know
- 22:35Speaker 3: it deletes like whatever's on there. So like this discolored
- 22:39Speaker 3: a little bit, and now you can't see t Bob,
- 22:42Speaker 3: which we're watched St Bob and the team photo celebrating
- 22:48Speaker 3: there in Omahall. But if you really just zoom in there,
- 22:51Speaker 3: you can see, yes, Tata is doing right now. Yeah,
- 22:55Speaker 3: just defeat don't look great and typically right elongates everything
- 23:03Speaker 3: like black makes it look smaller, white makes it look
- 23:05Speaker 3: a little bit bigger on camera.
- 23:08Speaker 6: He's got some hoofs like the guy next to it,
- 23:11Speaker 6: much smaller looking feet.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're right that like the big legs make worse,
- 23:17Speaker 2: But it does kind of look like he's at like
- 23:20Speaker 2: the local fair, at one of those funny mirrors.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Oh my goodness.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm so glad though that T Bob was there,
- 23:29Speaker 3: had a great time.
- 23:30Speaker 4: He was living his best life.
- 23:32Speaker 7: On the camera. A lot of camera.
- 23:35Speaker 3: I can't even imagine how many people were probably coming
- 23:37Speaker 3: up to T Bob and stopping him. I mean, and
- 23:39Speaker 3: he probably, knowing t talked to every single one of
- 23:42Speaker 3: them and gave them like his time. He is incredibly
- 23:45Speaker 3: good with that. So happy for a boy, glad glad
- 23:48Speaker 3: to see some content as well. I think he's gonna
- 23:51Speaker 3: thrive out there amongst the people, and if you want
- 23:54Speaker 3: him to do a studio show, he's gonna crush that.
- 23:55Speaker 7: How many moffatisms do you think he was given?
- 24:01Speaker 3: Yeah, poor Ben Mince heard every single get your piss hot,
- 24:06Speaker 3: crank that mother f and diesel womp womp as he Yeah,
- 24:13Speaker 3: he got all that too. All right, we'll take that
- 24:17Speaker 3: break more otb when we come back. You're way of
- 24:19Speaker 3: one of four five ESPN boundariesepter Ben Now te Bob's
- 24:25Speaker 3: power never runs out ever, not like at his house,
- 24:28Speaker 3: like through his body just doesn't run out. But one, okay,
- 24:34Speaker 3: we don't have that kind of energy. Nobody does. But
- 24:38Speaker 3: if your energy goes out, you know who can help you.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Poodrous whole home generator. When your power goes out. Ours
- 24:45Speaker 3: dead on Sunday about four or five minutes. But it
- 24:49Speaker 3: was four or five minutes where a pretty important baseball
- 24:53Speaker 3: game was on. But you know what kicked on immediately,
- 24:56Speaker 3: the whole home generator. It is the ultimate peace of
- 24:59Speaker 3: mind during storm season here in South Louisiana. Go to
- 25:03Speaker 3: the website today, get everything started, have them come out
- 25:06Speaker 3: and give you that quote that we talk about Boudros
- 25:08Speaker 3: Electrical dot Com.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Every single Monday morning, my generator at my house kicks
- 25:14Speaker 2: off for about five minutes. That's like the weekly maintenance
- 25:17Speaker 2: for it to just run its engine, be ready for
- 25:19Speaker 2: anything that happens. And every time I hear that motor,
- 25:22Speaker 2: I just like breathe a sigh of relief because I
- 25:24Speaker 2: know my house is protected, my families protected.
- 25:26Speaker 7: Are stuffed is protected.
- 25:27Speaker 2: So if you want that protection, especially going to a
- 25:30Speaker 2: hurricane season. Go to Boudro's Electric Electrical dot Com see
- 25:33Speaker 2: all they can help you. That's two two five three
- 25:35Speaker 2: zero zero nine three eight nine.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Welcome in to the best morning sports this show around
- 25:52Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Esther and t Bob.
- 26:02Speaker 3: The best part about that question that we got during
- 26:05Speaker 3: mailbag about underrated. It was a great question because I
- 26:09Speaker 3: always love giving love to guys and I'm like, they
- 26:12Speaker 3: were better than they get credit for. It almost went
- 26:15Speaker 3: with Eric Weddle. He was on the All Decade Team.
- 26:17Speaker 3: I still feel like Eric Weddle doesn't get enough love.
- 26:19Speaker 6: For I don't retirement because the Rams and needed his
- 26:23Speaker 6: safety and they won the Super.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Bowl towards Peck in the Super Bowl kept playing.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Yeah, That's why I had to preface my answer like
- 26:28Speaker 2: Jordan Nelson, like yeah, I know everyone knows he's great,
- 26:31Speaker 2: but he was like great.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Great, Yeah, right.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Shout out to Eric Weddle, who's the head coach at
- 26:35Speaker 3: Rancho Bernardo High School, Broncos there about like two minutes
- 26:39Speaker 3: from my house when we lived out there.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Great high school.
- 26:42Speaker 2: He's built a pretty nice little program over there.
- 26:45Speaker 3: He has They were a big school that wasn't very
- 26:47Speaker 3: good and he's like he should be better.
- 26:51Speaker 4: You got a lot of people to choose from, and
- 26:54Speaker 4: Eric's one of those.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Dude's hardest working guy in the building, like almost like annoying, like, hey, Bud,
- 26:59Speaker 3: I want to want to at work here one day,
- 27:00Speaker 3: can you stop?
- 27:02Speaker 4: Stop?
- 27:03Speaker 3: But I guess when you're you know a guy that
- 27:06Speaker 3: played like every position in college and like a lot
- 27:09Speaker 3: of people said your position list, He's like, I can
- 27:11Speaker 3: play whatever you need me to do.
- 27:13Speaker 7: Yeah, And that's exactly someone did ask.
- 27:16Speaker 3: But somebody asked the same the same person to ask
- 27:18Speaker 3: on Twitter said Okay, now, who's the most overrated player?
- 27:22Speaker 7: Not going there, Jacob.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Hester May I'll give you maybe, maybe I will, maybe
- 27:30Speaker 3: I will.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Let me think about it and then think about give
- 27:34Speaker 2: us some time so I don't want to answer it.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Then there's, you know, gotta deal with some fallout, like
- 27:39Speaker 2: the Sharps.
- 27:43Speaker 7: Update.
- 27:43Speaker 2: We have an update.
- 27:46Speaker 6: They miraculously remember this morning. She got a lot of
- 27:55Speaker 6: happy belated it was it was I just had it
- 27:58Speaker 6: on the calendar wrong.
- 28:01Speaker 5: Shoot, yeah, I just wasn't on my phone all day.
- 28:03Speaker 5: I don't know it happens.
- 28:05Speaker 2: I was I was living was where my feet were.
- 28:09Speaker 3: A lot of people inside the chatt are saying they
- 28:10Speaker 3: feel bad for Mincy because of you know, he was
- 28:13Speaker 3: with T Bob all weekend. I don't, Uh, T Bob
- 28:17Speaker 3: is t Bob And that's what I love about T
- 28:19Speaker 3: Bob is he's going to be the same T Bob
- 28:21Speaker 3: by Mincy that he would be in front of the
- 28:23Speaker 3: new Pope.
- 28:24Speaker 4: He's got Chicago ties.
- 28:27Speaker 7: Uh.
- 28:28Speaker 3: And also, Mincy, my guy, you're from Louisiana and you
- 28:32Speaker 3: root for Old Miss.
- 28:34Speaker 4: I love you, but it is what it is.
- 28:38Speaker 3: You're from Louisiana and you don't root for Louisiana School. Sorry, sorry, Bud,
- 28:46Speaker 3: I wouldn't even care if you root it because he's
- 28:48Speaker 3: from Monroe.
- 28:48Speaker 4: If you rooted for ULM or tech U, l.
- 28:52Speaker 1: L I.
- 28:57Speaker 2: That live here from here, but went to Old Miss,
- 29:00Speaker 2: and of course.
- 29:02Speaker 3: People to like that's where they they don't go here,
- 29:05Speaker 3: they go to Ole Miss things.
- 29:07Speaker 2: It's okay, Like, if you know Ole Miss plays l
- 29:10Speaker 2: s U. Yeah, sure, cheer for Ole Miss. That's your
- 29:12Speaker 2: alma mater or whatever. You chose that path. But if
- 29:16Speaker 2: you got no dog in a fight, are we actively
- 29:19Speaker 2: cheering against l s U?
- 29:21Speaker 7: Didn't make any sense?
- 29:23Speaker 2: Uh?
- 29:23Speaker 3: Yeah, Mincey did good ole Miss. I'm just saying, like
- 29:26Speaker 3: he's from Louisiana. The only person that I allow that
- 29:30Speaker 3: is David Delugi because David's awesome, mancy.
- 29:33Speaker 4: You don't get the same.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Sorry, but he's not. Those who's not actively cheering against
- 29:41Speaker 2: l s U well, they're not even playing Ole Miss.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you're saying Mincey does Yeah, so it's already
- 29:46Speaker 3: a step too far.
- 29:47Speaker 7: Too far, seep, I'll let you have it too.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Did he I mean he was singing Backstreet Boys in
- 29:54Speaker 4: his ear?
- 29:55Speaker 2: Did we have like what was the word count? Was
- 29:57Speaker 2: one hundred percent to zero percent?
- 30:00Speaker 4: Say a word?
- 30:02Speaker 2: If it's the same video?
- 30:03Speaker 7: No, poor fellah. He brought a lot of views. It's good.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Uh, I don't know. Did I miss something?
- 30:14Speaker 3: Does Jacob have the same energy for the oh for
- 30:17Speaker 3: the Mayonnings because they're from Louisiana. Well see arch E
- 30:24Speaker 3: started from you know, he's from Missippi, went to ole
- 30:26Speaker 3: Miss and he got drafted by there. I've always said this,
- 30:30Speaker 3: it's a good question, William. I've always said this. Nobody
- 30:33Speaker 3: gets to pass in Louisiana outside of the Mannings.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Have you ever noticed that? Have you?
- 30:39Speaker 2: Like you can.
- 30:41Speaker 3: And look AT's real and look, Peyton's awesome, like one
- 30:43Speaker 3: of my favorite teammates I ever had. But like they're
- 30:46Speaker 3: the only people that can be from Louisiana go elsewhere
- 30:51Speaker 3: and come back and beloved in Louisiana.
- 30:53Speaker 4: It's incredible.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Like and I say this all the time, Like I
- 30:57Speaker 3: had teammates in high school, my boy John David Boodie,
- 31:01Speaker 3: he won two Rose Bulls at USC.
- 31:02Speaker 4: It was incredible college quarterback.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Like he was in Louisiana and everybody's like, well you
- 31:08Speaker 3: went to USC. He's like, hen he won two Rose Bulls,
- 31:11Speaker 3: Like yeah, but it was not for l Shoot, Yeah,
- 31:13Speaker 3: you know what I mean. Like think about like all
- 31:15Speaker 3: the people that are from Louisiana that went elsewhere and
- 31:19Speaker 3: you don't hear from him here in Louisiana.
- 31:21Speaker 4: Like we could go down the list.
- 31:22Speaker 3: I mean like Reggie Wayne and Eddie Lacy and Lane
- 31:26Speaker 3: and Collins ed Ree warg Dunn who's an incredible human
- 31:31Speaker 3: being and like builds houses, literal houses for families. I'm saying,
- 31:36Speaker 3: like it's just different from you know, people get mad
- 31:40Speaker 3: when you leave Louisiana. The Mannings are like the only
- 31:43Speaker 3: family I feel like they' ever like got to pass.
- 31:46Speaker 5: No, Well, I feel like, as somebody from here, I
- 31:49Speaker 5: think it's because they do give back, like Peyton Manning hast.
- 31:52Speaker 4: And war does, War done does as well, War done.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Public.
- 31:56Speaker 5: You know, they do the Manning Passing Academy. You know,
- 31:59Speaker 5: I've seen Peyton Manning owned money to colleges like he
- 32:01Speaker 5: gave he gave Sudden some money one year. So it's
- 32:04Speaker 5: like he's he's actively kind of I think you say,
- 32:07Speaker 5: still here, but you could tell Peyton Manning Steel has
- 32:10Speaker 5: his his finger prints on the state regard.
- 32:12Speaker 4: I mean the family, you know, like go here. Yeah,
- 32:15Speaker 4: a lot of them still here.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why they they all went to Newman and
- 32:19Speaker 3: so I can't if you can think of another one,
- 32:22Speaker 3: let me know, I mean major apple White from Catholic High.
- 32:25Speaker 3: I don't ever hear anybody talk about him like locally.
- 32:28Speaker 7: Nope.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I gotta be honest with you, like besides them having
- 32:31Speaker 2: the man In Passing Academy in Louisiana and then especially
- 32:35Speaker 2: like pre Arch like coming onto the scene like I
- 32:40Speaker 2: almost would like you'd have to remind me that they
- 32:42Speaker 2: were from Louisiana.
- 32:44Speaker 7: Because yeah, yeah, I mean, but I'm not from Louisiana.
- 32:47Speaker 7: I'm crazy.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Was born to raise somewhere else, and I came here
- 32:51Speaker 2: and stayed right. So I'm kind of like the opposite, uh,
- 32:53Speaker 2: because I happen to like Louisiana. So but yeah, I
- 32:57Speaker 2: would always kind of forget that they were, like had
- 32:59Speaker 2: the Louisiana Ties because of you know.
- 33:01Speaker 7: They're so Tennessee.
- 33:03Speaker 2: You've played every you know in the NFL, I mean
- 33:06Speaker 2: years and years and years and other places in Tennessee
- 33:08Speaker 2: or miss blah blah blah. Then of course, like the
- 33:10Speaker 2: man in Passing Academy, it does remind you of that always.
- 33:14Speaker 2: And the arch coming up and playing a new and
- 33:16Speaker 2: I mean that did as well.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean they all played at Newman yep, I
- 33:20Speaker 3: mean Cooper and and Archie and.
- 33:23Speaker 4: They still live.
- 33:24Speaker 7: Was a long time ago though, Bud.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I know, I mean they're older than I am,
- 33:28Speaker 4: and I'm a man.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I was at Hubbard Middle School. I was balling a
- 33:33Speaker 2: Hubbard Middle School in Tyler, Texas.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Hubbard Middle School.
- 33:36Speaker 7: Oh yeah, the Hubbard Huskies.
- 33:38Speaker 4: I went to Ridgewood Middle School.
- 33:39Speaker 6: Shout out to the Raiders, the Huskies, a lot of
- 33:43Speaker 6: Huskies and Tyler, Texas.
- 33:47Speaker 3: True, there's not a lot of Raiders in Truthport Louisiana's true.
- 33:50Speaker 6: I mean my junior high was the Gators. Ain't a
- 33:52Speaker 6: gator and walker that I've seen somebody.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Probably there's a chance that a gator can be husky
- 33:59Speaker 3: and instead of husky in the wild, find this way
- 34:03Speaker 3: to Tyler.
- 34:04Speaker 4: You don't want to be the Roses.
- 34:06Speaker 2: I'm sure there was. I mean, there was lots of
- 34:09Speaker 2: middle schools out there. I'm trying to think of the
- 34:11Speaker 2: other ones. But yeah, Hubbard Huskies, you know, a big
- 34:15Speaker 2: time feater and at the time, roberty Lee Red Raiders.
- 34:18Speaker 2: But what was your high school mascot? It was the
- 34:21Speaker 2: Robert Lee Red Raiders, who had been previously the Robert
- 34:23Speaker 2: Lee Rebels. Of course I got changed and now it
- 34:26Speaker 2: is you know, we were known as Tyler Lee Red Raiders.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Now it's Tyler Legacy Red Raiders. A lot of name
- 34:33Speaker 2: changes happening over there in Tyler, Texas.
- 34:37Speaker 7: Who were the Wildcats? Basic? Just pretty basic?
- 34:40Speaker 6: I mean, how many people are the Wildcats? Like everybody's
- 34:42Speaker 6: the Wildcats?

- 36:26Speaker 3: Jayleen Collins retweeted, that's how I see it. Uh, Brian Kelly,
- 36:30Speaker 3: you're on the clock.
- 36:34Speaker 4: To go win. You're up, buddy, You're up a little
- 36:37Speaker 4: bit on the clock tag and Uh.
- 36:40Speaker 3: The thing I do love about b K is he
- 36:43Speaker 3: knows that, oh yeah, like he like he embraces that.
- 36:47Speaker 4: He doesn't try to run from it. And I know
- 36:49Speaker 4: a lot of coaches that would.
- 36:50Speaker 3: So we are excited though for everybody that LSU brought in,
- 36:54Speaker 3: I do think this roster looks completely different. But you're
- 36:58Speaker 3: only going to be as good as your signal caller
- 37:03Speaker 3: is how far your QB can take you.
- 37:06Speaker 7: Right.
- 37:07Speaker 3: It pains me to say this in front of present company,
- 37:09Speaker 3: but it is the most important position.
- 37:11Speaker 7: On the football field.
- 37:14Speaker 4: All right.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Now, You've got a dude, not a guy. You got
- 37:17Speaker 3: a dude in Garrett Nusmeyer, and I was looking this morning.
- 37:21Speaker 3: You know ESPN, they're already like it's crazy how early
- 37:24Speaker 3: it says. But there are like putting out their top
- 37:25Speaker 3: five quarterbacks for the draft, and well you got two
- 37:29Speaker 3: different you know, opinions here. But k Clubnick one Garrett
- 37:33Speaker 3: neus Meyer two is basically when you look at the
- 37:35Speaker 3: totality of all the talking heads, it is Kate Clubnick
- 37:39Speaker 3: from Clemson who you play in game number one at
- 37:42Speaker 3: the top, your quarterback right behind him at number two.
- 37:45Speaker 3: You're gonna have a Heisman Trophy level build and hype
- 37:51Speaker 3: and expected play in game number one between two guys
- 37:54Speaker 3: that have the best odds to go win a Heisman Trophy.
- 37:58Speaker 4: You're going to their place, right.
- 38:00Speaker 3: You both have weapons that are expected to be better
- 38:03Speaker 3: than the weapons you had the year before if you're
- 38:07Speaker 3: a quarterback, and if you enjoy great quarterback play week
- 38:11Speaker 3: number one and Little Death Valley has to be up
- 38:15Speaker 3: on the marquee in blinking lights because you're potentially getting
- 38:18Speaker 3: the two best right out of the gates.
- 38:20Speaker 7: I love how you call it Little Death Valley too.
- 38:22Speaker 7: It's great.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Is that is that a common term for this place?
- 38:26Speaker 2: I know what I don't even like giving them the
- 38:28Speaker 2: credit for that that way. I know, I don't even
- 38:31Speaker 2: like giving the credit for that name. But I guess
- 38:32Speaker 2: if you like put a little little in front of
- 38:34Speaker 2: it's great.
- 38:35Speaker 7: But you're right.
- 38:35Speaker 2: I mean, we go from I'm excited about this season
- 38:39Speaker 2: of college football because of the quarterback play we're going
- 38:42Speaker 2: to see all over the country. We went from two
- 38:45Speaker 2: seasons ago of having you know, really highly sought after
- 38:50Speaker 2: quarterback crop that went to the NFL this past year
- 38:53Speaker 2: a little bit down. You saw that with a you know,
- 38:55Speaker 2: the lack of you know, top round picks at quarterback.
- 38:58Speaker 2: But it's gonna circle back this year and we're gonna
- 39:01Speaker 2: have a lot of top quarterbacks. So's there's a lot
- 39:03Speaker 2: of arguments out there about you know, who's the best,
- 39:06Speaker 2: who's this and that, and a lot of it's just
- 39:08Speaker 2: all white noise right now, right Believe nothing of what
- 39:11Speaker 2: you hear in half of what you see like going
- 39:13Speaker 2: into the season, because there's gonna be a lot of talk.
- 39:15Speaker 2: There's gonna be a lot of arguments and it's but
- 39:18Speaker 2: what it is is these two quarterbacks are both great.
- 39:22Speaker 2: So there's I hate the comparisons between the two. You
- 39:26Speaker 2: look at you know, completion percentage. I think Garrett last
- 39:29Speaker 2: year sixty four point two percent completion, Kate club Nick
- 39:32Speaker 2: sixty three point four percent. So they're really tight. I
- 39:34Speaker 2: mean Garrett it's a little bit ahead on that. They're
- 39:36Speaker 2: kind of back and forth on different stats. You know,
- 39:38Speaker 2: Kate does a little bit, you know, has a little
- 39:40Speaker 2: bit more.
- 39:40Speaker 7: Here you the stats to me, all.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Right, looking at it, I would assume Garrett had more yards,
- 39:46Speaker 3: more touchdowns, less interceptions for Kate Clubnick.
- 39:49Speaker 7: Though.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Yeah, so Garrett had four thy fifty two passing yards,
- 39:52Speaker 2: Kate had three thousand, six hundred and thirty nine. But
- 39:55Speaker 2: not I said five hundred and twenty five attempts. He
- 39:58Speaker 2: had four hundred and eighty six ten, So I mean
- 40:00Speaker 2: it's I mean say Cade was two hundred and fifty
- 40:03Speaker 2: nine point nine yards a game, Garrett three hundred eleven
- 40:06Speaker 2: point seven.
- 40:07Speaker 3: So I mean an LSU quarterback averaging averaging over three
- 40:12Speaker 3: hundred yards.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Can we just like go back as as Tiger fans
- 40:16Speaker 2: and just think back, like close your eyes and think
- 40:19Speaker 2: back to the decade long drought almost of.
- 40:24Speaker 7: Not great offenses here at LSU, and just think about
- 40:29Speaker 7: where we are today.
- 40:30Speaker 2: We had two heights been winning quarterbacks and the six
- 40:34Speaker 2: years a third that's in the running, you know, which
- 40:37Speaker 2: I strongly believe if everything plays out the way, I mean,
- 40:40Speaker 2: there's always luck that plays into it.
- 40:42Speaker 7: You have to avoid injuries. The offensive line.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Really has to there's a lot of there's questions out there,
- 40:47Speaker 2: not as many questions this year as there has been.
- 40:49Speaker 7: Yeah, so I think everybody feels really confident.
- 40:51Speaker 2: And you see the preset the preseason accolades that kind
- 40:55Speaker 2: of mimic that they mirror that that theory that we
- 40:57Speaker 2: all have. He's got weapons all around him. They did
- 40:59Speaker 2: a great job in the off season in the transfer
- 41:02Speaker 2: portal filling out this roster, really shoring up the defense.
- 41:07Speaker 7: Uh, but we're.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Talking about going into a second year for a top
- 41:14Speaker 2: quarterback as a starter. He was known now as a
- 41:18Speaker 2: top quarterback after one year started. We talked about this
- 41:20Speaker 2: the other day too, going in the NFL, going from
- 41:22Speaker 2: year one to year two is the biggest jump a
- 41:24Speaker 2: quarterback can make in the NFL. Yeah, Now we're talking
- 41:27Speaker 2: about a kid that's going to go from first year
- 41:30Speaker 2: starting to second year starting. And I think and he
- 41:34Speaker 2: played great last year and there was things that he
- 41:37Speaker 2: did that you know.
- 41:38Speaker 7: There's no way.
- 41:38Speaker 4: Guy.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yeah, there's things that he did like that were already
- 41:42Speaker 2: big league stuff. He made NFL type throws and he's
- 41:44Speaker 2: been doing that since he's been here at LSU. But
- 41:46Speaker 2: he put it on the field, put it on the tape.
- 41:49Speaker 2: And so if he can continue to do that, what
- 41:51Speaker 2: I would see him make the biggest jump is not
- 41:53Speaker 2: having those lolls, those down those downtimes we talk about,
- 41:57Speaker 2: you know, A and M in the second half different
- 41:59Speaker 2: times of the year. Limit the mistakes never hit, those
- 42:03Speaker 2: lows always stay on a high and as what you'll
- 42:06Speaker 2: see from a quarterback that the more and more experience
- 42:10Speaker 2: you get, the faster you're going to get into that
- 42:13Speaker 2: air quote zone, that zone that everybody talks about, the
- 42:17Speaker 2: kids in the zone. He's in the zone, the thing
- 42:20Speaker 2: that nobody can explain what it really is. You get
- 42:23Speaker 2: there faster the more experience you have. So I am
- 42:25Speaker 2: like crazy excited to see what.
- 42:28Speaker 7: This offense can do.
- 42:30Speaker 2: I think it's going to be one of those It's
- 42:31Speaker 2: going to look a lot different than Jayden's last year,
- 42:34Speaker 2: but I think it's going to be one of those
- 42:35Speaker 2: offenses that as Tiger fans, we get the ball and
- 42:39Speaker 2: you almost have away expect them to.
- 42:40Speaker 7: Score every damn time, right.
- 42:42Speaker 2: I mean it was shocking watching Jayden play, like the
- 42:48Speaker 2: consistency they had. It didn't matter they got the ball
- 42:50Speaker 2: on their own one doesn't matter if I got it
- 42:52Speaker 2: on the other team's forty, Like the result was going
- 42:55Speaker 2: to be the same. I think, what has the potential
- 42:58Speaker 2: now they can't. I hope they're not listening into this,
- 43:00Speaker 2: you know, but they have the potential to have that
- 43:03Speaker 2: same firepower they have that and be able to provide
- 43:06Speaker 2: fans that same confidence.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe a different way, but same fire Sure. Yeah
- 43:10Speaker 3: the quarterback is not going to run for eighty yards yep,
- 43:13Speaker 3: you know against the Florida Gators. But it can still
- 43:16Speaker 3: be the same high powered offense, you know, a quick
- 43:19Speaker 3: slant boom one guy misses eighty yards like we saw
- 43:21Speaker 3: against Texas An you know, with Aaron AMers.
- 43:23Speaker 2: I don't want to like do the comparison Garrett versus
- 43:26Speaker 2: k just yet. I want to like get dive into
- 43:28Speaker 2: a little bit more. And it's unfair because they're both
- 43:30Speaker 2: great in their own right and have been so Like,
- 43:33Speaker 2: I don't want to belit a one right now until
- 43:35Speaker 2: like dive into the that that film a little bit.
