- 0:00Hello there. Have you had a day that was so packed with action that your heart,
- 0:05head, and soul feel exhausted at the end of the day?
- 0:08I had one of those yesterday, but it was strangely peaceful.
- 0:14There was too much happening. Loved one in pain, visitors, work,
- 0:19car confusion, dog needs attention.
- 0:22But do not feel sad for me. The entire time I was under his wing, safe and protected.
- 0:27My brothers and sisters in Christ interceded, and God made miracles happen.
- 0:33For those of you who believe in predestinate, please do not read this as anything
- 0:37outside of a creator's love for us.
- 0:40I am not sure how prayers work if God already planned the outcome.
- 0:44I also do not know that he would change his mind just because we prayed for something.
- 0:49So let's park that for a second and look at it this way.
- 0:54God knows what is best, and he puts the prayers in the hearts of the ones that intercede.
- 1:01The outcome is always favorable, even though it may not seem like it at that moment.
- 1:07Quote, Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,
- 1:13believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
- 1:18End quote. Mark, chapter 11, verse 24.
- 1:22To articulate this thought clearly, I have to tell you what happened this morning.
- 1:27I had to rush a loved one to ER. I prayed and asked my brothers and sisters in Christ to pray.
- 1:34They prayed and a peace came over me and my husband that transcends any explanation.
- 1:39To top it all, the outcome was
- 1:42a miracle, the best solution to what could have been a worse situation.
- 1:47We are blessed.
- 1:49God's ever-protecting wings took us into his fold and comforted us.
- 1:55He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall take refuge.
- 2:00His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
- 2:04Psalm 91, verse 4 But sometimes it feels like prayers do not work,
- 2:11because the outcome is not favorable.
- 2:14We are drowned in sorrow and hurt from the scene.
- 2:19From our understanding of right and wrong. It does not mean prayers do not work.
- 2:25The strength that comes from God's presence cannot be minimized.
- 2:29We were fortunate to be waited on by Christ's loving nurse.
- 2:33He was telling us about how much more atheists suffer when they are going through similar situations.
- 2:39One last thought on this topic. Per John, Jesus wept when his friend died,
- 2:45and in Luke, when he foresaw the suffering of Jerusalem.
- 2:49Quote, now as he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it. End quote.
- 2:56Luke chapter 19, verse 41.
- 2:59Quote, Jesus wept. End quote.
- 3:03John chapter 11, verse 35. God hurts for us because he loves us.
- 3:09When we are going through pain and suffering, he is with us.
- 3:14He has to let the outcome be what it needs to be for our good, not the greater good.
- 3:20He did not sacrifice us like he did his son.
- 3:23We are free and our outcomes are always good even though to the scene it appears bad.
- 3:29Trust in him and bask in his love. God bless you.
- 3:34Dear God, thank you for the prayer warriors you placed in my life.
- 3:38Bless them and open their hearts to the love you have for them.
- 3:42May they cherish the closeness with you and the freedom to come to you with
- 3:46petitions that only you can fulfill.
- 3:49May they bring you abundant glory. Amen.
