• Roc: What's up everyone? Welcome back to your swap podcast. I'm Rock. And as always, I got Chris, aka Dub on. Today we're heading into week four of the NFL. So we're gonna run through some Thursday night football, talk some games this upcoming weekend, Sunday slate. And you know, we got playoff baseball on us. We're gonna talk some Yanks. And we got a nice little start bench cut to end the end the pod. So I mean, let's get into this thing. C-Dub: Hey, it's this is gonna be like our college minute, but it's our baseball minute. And it's gonna be a minute, right? Damn, what a game last night. I'm wearing my Roc: Yeah. Baseball man. Yeah. Yeah. Dude. C-Dub: hat right now. You're wearing your hat. We didn't even coordinate this. We Roc: No, we didn't. C-Dub: did not even coordinate this. Schlit, dog, Ben Rice, dog. Roc: Dog. C-Dub: I mean, it's just I think it's this this is more emotional for me, just seeing some guys that you don't think of as the Yankee stars stepping up. Like, just look at Volpey and Lombard out there. Like I saw like a I saw like a like a meme today, like show this to a Yankees fan in the beginning of the year and they're gonna they're gonna ask you what's going like what happened. But they are electric. They're electric. I mean I know we're looking for some big guns to get back. But dude, Roc: They're C-Dub: I just love this team. Roc: the Yank obviously outside Schlitler and obvious and outside Ben Rice, two studs. Boston boys, too, by the way. So that's just even better. Even better C-Dub: Even better. Roc: that there's their dog in the Red Sox right now. Our five through nine batters last night got on base eleven times with two RBIs. That's like huge. Outside of we don't have judge, we don't have stand right now, obviously. But C-Dub: Or jazz, right? Roc: no, but Jazz Jazz is playing is just Lefty lefty matchup, they benched him for Volpe. So but our f C-Dub: That's true, that's true, that's true. Roc: our five through nine, if if your five through nine is getting on based ten, eleven times double digits and doing their job, more than doing their job, I expect us to win every single night. And Ben Rice, insane, crazy game. Six RBIs, that grand slam in the eighth was so sick. It was just a dagger. It was C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: the dagger to what was already already dead. And slit a hundred and twenty pitches. C-Dub: D I was gonna talk about that. Did you see did you see the did you hear Roc: You wanna talk about a ho You wanna talk about h a horse, dude? C-Dub: did you hear on the broadcast the last Yankee to do that? It was like it was like Roc: No, was it was it Gibson we're talking about? C-Dub: CC and like I don't even remember the year. But dude. Roc: Dude, I I'm sitting there watching the game. I'm like after the six, he's at like one five, one six, and he just struck out whoever it was, and I was like, Okay, six solid innings. Obviously it's playoff baseball. I don't really care about how many pitches you throw, but you get get do the job, get your job done, get out of there, ten K's, nine K's, six innings, whatever he had to do. And then they bring him back out for the start of the seventh. I'm like, what is going on? Get the first batter out, next guy lets up a base hit, and I was like, all right, pull him. Hundred and twenty pitches though. That's that's that's like legendary stuff right there. C-Dub: To tip your cap. And it's but the problem is with all these great Yankee moments, it's one of those moments where you you you rip off two losses in a row and no one remembers that. Cause I remember last that's what I'm saying, like remember that when Judge the Judge moment? Roc: Yeah, I know. Like the the judge What the judge bomb against the Blue Jays when he hit it off the foul pole or whatever and everyone's like, dude, we're back, we're back. It's gonna be the moment and then we go out and lose game and then we go out we C-Dub: Yeah, remember that moment? I forgot when that game happened, but I knew something with Judge happened. Roc: and then we go out and lose game six the very next day and it's C-Dub: You lay an egg! Roc: like, yo, we did all that for nothing. Like all these moments for no reason. But C-Dub: Yeah. Yeah. Roc: We got Freed on the bump tonight. He's gonna do his job. Hopefully we close this thing out and we head on to the next C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: round against the race. Yeah. C-Dub: Speaking of schedule, Steelers at Browns, you know what this game is? This is a scheduled Tomlin loss. Roc: Really. Coming off a big win. C-Dub: If Tomlin was coach if Tomlin was coaching this team, this is the biggest biggest letdown spot for that team. Yeah, dude. Offense putting up Roc: Coming off big win. We got Steelers in Cleveland. C-Dub: putting up like Rogers putting up damn near three hundred. Steelers at Br yeah. Roc: Yeah, Steelers in Cleveland. Yeah. Pittsburgh favored two and a half, over under thirty eight and a half. I I mean winner, winners atop the AFC North, at least for the the the first next three days. C-Dub: Yeah. And I'm not saying that I'm I I I may abstain from you know what I'm gonna make a pick. I might I'm gonna abstain from making any egregious remarks just based on my track record here. But I mean I like I like the Browns in this spot. Roc: I'm saying it quietly, I do too. Honestly. C-Dub: I I do s I like the Browns. I mean, but I'm saying that just so my friends are Steelers fans. Maybe I'm a jinx. Maybe I'm a good jinx. If I just root against them, they put up crazy numbers. Roc: I I think this is I don't know what the weather's supposed to be like tomorrow. And I just think I have a feeling obviously Vegas is telling us with the thirty eight and a half over under. They think it's gonna be one of those good old fashioned AFC North football games where it's just gonna be defense, defense, muck it up, some dirty games, dirty, ugly football. So that's what I'm expecting. And I really think the Browns have like a legit like top five to seven defense. Like they're they're pretty good. C-Dub: I agree. Roc: So if you get The Deshaun that you've gotten the last two weeks, Browns looking at a three game win streak and sitting at top of the division. That's that's that's a shocker, I'd say, to to most of us out there. C-Dub: It would be quite a shock. I completely agree. But yeah, no, I'm I'm I'm gonna pick the Browns but very quietly in the spot. Roc: Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you on that. I'm gonna lean Cleveland and I it's so low. C-Dub: And I for the over under, I would go over. Just because that's the whole thing, if you pick the under here, you're a sicko. Like you're Roc: Yeah. I again I don't know I don't know what the weather's supposed to be like. Like last week in the Giants game it was whatever, nor'eastern and it was downpouring and the over under was thirty eight. This C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: if this is just a normal Thursday night in Cleveland where it's like mid fifties, sixties and no actual conditions and you just have it that low, it's just like all right, we got some we got some dog water football offense going on. C-Dub: You know what? I'm just looking I'm looking this up right now. Roc: Few few plays that I got for tomorrow. Not final. Yeah, we go on dub. C-Dub: Cleveland. Cleveland. Supposed to be tomorrow supposed to be eighty one. No rain. Roc: So they just think these offenses suck. They don't Vegas does not trust these offenses whatsoever. C-Dub: But the problem is I think both of them are coming off solid showings. Like the br Deshaun had a solid showing. Roc: I mean, at least for the Steelers, Steelers defense was legit. And Deshaun in the fourth quarter showed up. I think it's more just maybe their def both teams' defenses. Like Cleveland's C-Dub: Yeah, but yeah. No, you're right. Roc: defense is is really good. And then obviously Steelers, Watt, Ramsey. I think that's just kind of what Vegas is telling us. Few plays C-Dub: Yeah. Yeah. It Roc: I like for tomorrow. Not finalized yet, but I like Denzel Boston, thirty plus receiving yards. Jalen Warren, eighty plus total yards. C-Dub: I love Warren. I love Warren this spot. Roc: And Deshaun Watson one plus passing touchdown. C-Dub: I have one play that I like so far. I haven't really dug my teeth in. I'll have more tomorrow. But a guy that I do like, I'm pulling it up right now. 'Cause I don't w I don't I don't I don't wanna lie if the li ch if the line changed from what I saw earlier. I like I like Fannon over four receptions. His lines at f his lines at Roc: He's he's been Deshaun's guy. C-Dub: his lines at four and a half. I would probably just take over four. But I mean, he is he's his guy. I also don't mind Denzel Boston's yards. Roc: That's what I took. Or that's what I want to take. Not sure yet. Yeah. Austin's Nah, you're good. Yeah. Yeah. C-Dub: Did you say that? I'm gonna keep it a stack. Yeah, I wasn't listening, I was looking at Fannon, but I I agree. I agree. That's good. Roc: So I mean both going with the Browns, we'll we'll find out. I think it's gonna be like a sneaky good game tomorrow, honestly. So C-Dub: I agree. I agree. Roc: hopefully we just get some good football and it's it's a good prime time game. C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: Next, we got Cardinals at Giants on Sunday. Arizona's favored by two and a half with an overunder of 44 and a half. Dub, what do my my first thought is time sticking for Jameis. He needs to go out there and look a little bit better if he wants to keep the starting job. I know Harbaugh already said it's it's Jameis's job right now. We're just bringing in McCarthy just Just for good backup plan and to strengthen our total team and our total position quarterback room. But he's gotta look a little bit better. I don't think the weather's not gonna be an issue this time, so there's not that excuse. So I really wanna see Jameis just play a little bit better and be able to push the football downfield, maybe get neighbors going a little bit. I I really C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: feel bad for him because he's one I think he's like one of the elite receivers in the league and he's a an actual stud, but he's just he's been unfortunate with injuries and his quarterback going down and he just hasn't really been given the best quarterback play his first through his first two and a half, three years. So I want to see Jameis go out there and just look better. And I C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: want to see the Giants get a pass rush going. It's I know we bring it up every single week, but come on. At at some point, even though Burns is out C-Dub: Against this against against this team, I think you could. I really think there's a shot here. Roc: I I I really hope so. The cards have allowed five sacks so far this season, so I mean C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: teams have been getting to Bursette. Can we please just I don't know if you have to dial out more blitzes, whatever C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: it is, yes that leaves the secondary, which is already weak for us, in a vulnerable spot, but just just get a little bit of pass rush and try and get get home. C-Dub: Yeah, no, but speaking of Brissett, you you could disagree with me. I think Jameis and Brissett kinda have similar playstyles. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: I think this is a game where you can really compare Jameis to like a similar ish talent. And granted, I think you might be able to make the argument that over the past few weeks, I think the Cardinals offense has been more explosive. Roc: Yes. C-Dub: I don't think that's crazy to say. Roc: No, I agree. C-Dub: But I think it's a very s it's a very good spot to compare Jameis to a middle of the pack quarterback and see really where he falls. Roc: Well, when I think of when you think of Jameis, you think of like gunslinger, he's gonna go out there, he's gonna throw for a lot of yards, but also throw for a lot of picks, throw for a lot throw for a lot C-Dub: I and can run. And can run. Roc: of touchdowns. And that's just not what we've seen from him these last two weeks. So yes, thinking about the old Jameis, the old Jameis show, the normal Jameis that we think of. Like when you hear Jabbo, you think, C-Dub: Yes. Roc: okay, like, yes, then I him and Spursett, I think, are very similar because Jay Brizzy, he goes out there and he he slings it. He slings it. C-Dub: I completely agree. No, th he slings rock. Roc: He puts the ball in harm's way, but sometimes it it works out, sometimes it doesn't. He's fun he's fun to watch. C-Dub: when you have his top two targets, you should be do putting the ball in harm's way for them. That's the only way you're gonna win on this team. I mean Roc: The their weapons are legit. C-Dub: and he is a starter, he's trying to win as much as people ha were shitting on the Cardinals. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: He's playing out there and they're all playing out there. So I mean if if Jameis doesn't put up comparable stats to Brissett, I think it's time to have deeper conversations. Roc: I I I agree. Jeremiah Love had his like first like breakout type game last week. They got him going running the ball and catching the ball. So Giants gotta make sure to focus in on him, I think, is priority one. And then it's McBride and Wilson and Harrison. But I I really think you gotta focus on Jeremiah Love first because he's I he's the most explosive guy on that team. C-Dub: Yeah, I I mean I'd put I'd I'd put him and McBride in the similar category. Just yeah. Roc: Yeah, one A, one B. I I mean McBride's stud. A hundred plus catches, tw twelve hundred yards, double digit C-Dub: W Workhorse. Roc: touchdowns, he's a stud. C-Dub: Yeah. Yeah, he is. That's all I got in that game. wait, gotta p make my pick. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: I'm gonna be honest, Rock. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: I think the Cardinals win this. Roc: Really? C-Dub: D what do you think? Roc: All right. C-Dub: Like 'cause I'm trying to think objectively as a podcast, trying to say Roc: In no and I would C-Dub: who I think is going to win based on the team that is out there. Roc: I would no, I would I'm gonna a hundred percent agree. I'm not agreeing with the the pick, but I I'm gonna agree on like your reasoning. And I I personally C-Dub: If we if we get a classic Jameis if we get a classic Jameis, I will give us the win, but from what I've seen these past two weeks, I do not believe that we have the offense to stick around with their offensive weapons. Roc: I personally think that we are the better football team. Yes, Brian Burns going down sucks. It it sucks and it's gonna pay dividends. It's gonna show. It's it it will show. I think that's why the Cardinals are favored in this game. I think that's I think that's the only reason why. Obviously Dart's been out, but and that's a different story. But I think if Burns doesn't get hurt last week, it's a pick game. Maybe Giants favored it because they're at home. I think we're the better team overall, and I wanna see us the Get Najee going like they did last week against the Titans. Him and Scat back do a little one two, take the pressure off each other, take the pressure off Jameis. And I wanna see us control the game. Just like we did against Dallas. Keep that Cardinals offense off the field 'cause like you said, they're a little bit more explosive than than us. And I really think we're gonna go out there and get the win. I think we I think we realize, especially after seeing the Eagles lose, the NFC East is up it it's really it's up for Anyone. It it's not if the eagles C-Dub: No, it is. It is, you're right. Roc: started off three and and they looked good, it'd be like, all these injuries, like okay, maybe we'll sneak in with a wild card, like if we can get to eight, nine wins. The the NFC East is it's up for grabs. Anyone can really get it. And I think if if we can we have a favorable schedule, Cardinals and then Commanders, if we can get get one or two of these next games and we start off three and one, maybe even four and one, it's not crazy to Like say we we can get it. So I think that's gonna fuel them. And I'm taking the Giants. C-Dub: I I res I I mean, I want to, but again I j my mind just keeps going back to the Jameis that we've seen. Roc: Yeah, and that that's fair. That's C-Dub: Like how I just can't confidently I just can't confidently Roc: That's no, that's that's totally fair. I mean I'm I'm gonna put my I'm C-Dub: Trust me, I'm I'm gonna bet on the Giants. Like an i the idiot I Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: am. But I I think Arizona's pr I don't know if I think it's gonna be a close game regardless. And I think and I Roc: I think it'll be a good game. I think it will be a sneaky fun sneaky fun game for the first early window. C-Dub: Yeah, over under forty four and a half. Roc: I don't don't really know if I like that over, honestly. C-Dub: I have no idea where to go with that. Roc: Again, it it's tough 'cause the Giants offense just hasn't looked great, but that weather last week is a a big factor in it. So C-Dub: But then you said again, you said Cam Ward at the end of the game was slinging rock, you said that! You said it. Roc: No, he was I they he was slinging he was slinging rock, but did they score? They ended the game with seven points. So so it's like C-Dub: No, they they I completely agree with you, but Roc: so I he looked like he was fine. He was he was able to pass the ball around, move the ball around, but they at the end of the day they still didn't score. So C-Dub: The why weren't we? The why weren't we? Roc: exactly. Exactly. So that and I I said C-Dub: Why weren't we able to do make it mo go down the field? Roc: I said I said that. So that's why I think C-Dub: I know. Okay. Roc: just control the game with the run. I'm taking G Man. C-Dub: But we'll see how Roc: Yeah. Next game. C-Dub: it goes. Roc: Patriots at Bills. Buffalo favored by six and a half with a overunder of forty eight and a half. Pets need a win pad. They're we said they're falling apart. They're they're desperate. They're desperate. C-Dub: I I think to cover six and a half, the Patriots are gonna have to get in a whole new team. Roc: That's not crazy to say. That's not crazy. C-Dub: They're gonna have to get a whole new a whole entire new team. Just scrap everything. I mean, Roc: In Buffalo. C-Dub: in Buff Yeah, in Buffalo. I like the over here. Forty Roc: Three and a half. C-Dub: eight and a half. I like the over. and I think that's mostly the Bills doing heavy lifting. I'm gonna be honest. Yeah. We saw Roc: Bill's getting thirty plus by C-Dub: we saw that offense have an off game. They still were able to eek out a win. I expect them to be more polished. after dropping a dropping a A down game for them. and then you see how Joe Brady and Josh Allen talk like they're never complacent. I think they'll be I Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: think they'll be fine. I think it's just I don't see a world where the Patriots win this game unless they all get hypnotized and forget the these first three weeks. Roc: Yeah, I I I think obviously the Bills offense is gonna look a little bit better. I mean, a lot of bit better than last week. That was really just an ugly performance. C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: But I I I go back to it I again, Pat's look lost and May's now on the injury report again for his shoulder. He's talking about his shoulder, like I said. It's it's just a weird story 'cause he's he's C-Dub: You did call that. You did call that. It's Roc: he's saying like all the reports is that he's like fine and that he's not doing any treatment, but then he's Going to the mic and talking about his shoulder just without anyone questioning that he's just bringing it into the conversation. So obviously something's up and now he's on the injury report. So it C-Dub: play Big Booty Bot, I'd say that too. Roc: Yeah, I mean yeah, he's he's just not playing well, so he's he's bringing in the the injury excuse, I guess. But I C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: I'm not saying the Pets are gonna win by any means. All I'm saying is last year the Pets had a win in Buffalo. That was their like statement, like coming out party C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: when like I ever it was like I forget what week it was. It was might have been like week five or six also. And everyone was on the Bills at home. I I remember it was like the whiteout game for the Bills. They wore like their their winter jerseys and everything. And New England went in to Buffalo and came out came out with a win. And that was kinda like, whoa, like New England's here. Maybe they're better than we thought after the start. So Maybe they can get back on track by doing that again this year, but I yeah, no, I I I don't see it. I'm picking the Bills. C-Dub: But at the same time they had wins at that point in the season. They You don't have your you don't have your head coach saying, like, I'm scared for this team. At the Yeah. Yeah. Roc: Yeah. No, I I I'm going I'm going with the Bills and I I don't mind that overplay honestly. Forty eight and a half. If the Bills can get over thirty and then C-Dub: I think the Bills b I think the Bills get thirty five on their own. Roc: If the Bills get yeah, I mean if the Bills can get thirty plus and then Pasket seventeen, some garbage I I don't mind that. It's good low key a C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: sneaky, sneaky good play. C-Dub: Yeah. Now get Hamlin in there. Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: What up for Bobs? Roc: next. Cowboys at Texans in Houston. Houston's favored by two and a half with another over under of forty eight and a half. C-Dub: Alright. If I am a Texan, this is this is probably the scariest game of the year for you. Roc: Really? C-Dub: Yes. Cause this is a best against b this is a best against best. This is this is this this Roc: Do tell. Yep, I said strength or strength. C-Dub: is a this is a moment where I think the Cowboys they've scored twenty eight points in their past their past three games. Over twenty eight. I think they're still gonna get theirs. And then you're going against A bottom a bottom of the bottom defense against the Cowboys. So Roc: Defense. Yeah. C-Dub: I it rather it's can the Texans defense hold them hold this Cowboys team to low points. I think the storyline's more so can this Tex can this Texans offense do anything against one of the worst defenses in the in the league and it'll show. Roc: Yeah. I I said strength versus strength, obviously Cowboys O versus Texans D. And I said this plays for either team. Both sides can get like kind of a feel good or gain momentum. If Dallas's D somehow stops Texans offense, which isn't great, or Texans O can s put on some points against Dallas' defense, which sucks. You know what I'm saying? So I think this C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: is a good week. I don't know who it's gonna be, because honestly It it can go either way. Both Texans offense has looked bad and Cowboys defenses looked even worse. So I think it's a it's it's a spot where the other teams other team's side can get a little feel good momentum going. Yeah. Can yeah, you can get some yeah. C-Dub: Like a like a weaker the weaker unit gets some better momentum. I get what you're saying. I I trust more in the Cowboys offense getting more than 14 points against the Texans defense than I do. The Texans defense put it giving making the Cowboys score less than fourteen. And I don't Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: think we've ever seen the we I with this Texans team, I don't trust them to score fourteen points themselves. Unless Roc: Yeah. C-Dub: the defense puts them in incredible spots. But like last week. They had that one opening drive where they get the the the d the defense gives them the ball at the forty and they get no points. The opponent's forty. So it's Roc: Mm-hmm. Yeah. C-Dub: one of those where I I think the Cowboys are gonna get theirs eventually. It's gonna be all on Roc: Like it's inevitable. C-Dub: c can y it is. Can the Texans not as not as in score twenty eight points, but they're gonna get theirs. Roc: Mm-hmm. C-Dub: I just can the Texans offense do anything? Roc: I think the Texans offense obviously isn't great, but they should be able to get their run game going against the Cowboys. Every team's been able to run the ball against the Cowboys, realistically. So C-Dub: Yeah, no, for sure. Roc: I think if there's a way for the Texans to walk out of there with a win, it's gonna be that with them getting the run game going and kind of just controlling the game, keeping the Cowboys offense off the field, like the what the Giants did week one and just limiting possessions, it will just help in their f favor. And again they're their run game is looked atrocious, but if there's if there's an avenue for them to to get a win, it it's that. So I I don't know. C-Dub: I Roc: cover? Okay. I C-Dub: I'm I'm saying I'm saying the the boys cover two and a half. Roc: Okay. 'Cause I I I like I I'm not confident at all in this pick, like actually, like I wanna just say Cowboys, like outright. I'm just I'm just picking outright winners right here. I really wanna just say cowboys, but I think Houston being so desperate to get a win. Like we talk about them being own three. You you physically can't start off on four and expect to do anything. You can't. You physically can't. And the Cowboys defense C-Dub: But you physically you physically can't be O and four. You physically can't be that. And they might be that. Roc: Yeah, Cowboys defense is just so bad. I I C-Dub: They are. Roc: think Houston's just gonna lean on the run game. I think they're in shortened possessions. They get Nico Collins back and I'm taking Houston to get walk out of there with win. And Cowboys are gonna find a way to just lose it at the end of the game. Just a just a gut feeling. As fun as they are. And I and I love I C-Dub: I mean I should have talked I should have talked about Nico coming back, but Roc: love watching them play and just as fun as they are, I'm rolling with the Texans. C-Dub: Yeah. I shall talk about Nico coming back, but I don't think. I don't think. I mean, he's a great player, but let's see how much he does with Strat who hasn't been able to really get anyone open. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. Roc: See Yeah. C-Dub: Rams at Eagles next game. Rams Roc: Ramsay Eagles, yep. C-Dub: minus three. Over under forty three and a half. This is a textbook I'm an idiot game 'cause I look at that spread and I go, how is it not more? After the after the performance we just saw against the Bears. Their offense look catatonic. the Eagles I'm referring to. I think I think Saquon did not look good. Their offensive line as an extension of Saquon does not look good. It's Roc: Every year it's just since since Jason Kelsey's retired it's just been C-Dub: Yeah, and we're keeping unks around and they're hurt and they're not doing Roc: Depleting. C-Dub: well and this is this is the textbook. I don't understand how this game's three and a half or only three. I would expect this Roc: I might have a reason for why. C-Dub: why do you think? Roc: Sean McVay is one and six in his career versus the Eagles and 0-4 against Sirianni. So I think that plays a part into it. And it seems like every single time that these two teams go against each other, whether it's the regular season or the playoffs, it's always a one-score game and it's a great finish. Last year in the regular season, Eagles blocked the game-winning field goal and returned it for a touchdown, and they won 33-26. And then the year before that in the playoffs, it was a twenty-eight to twenty-two game, the snow game. When Stafford brought them all the way back and had that last final drive and just came up just short. Saquon went crazy. Again, their offensive line i isn't as good as it was when Saquon had that offensive player of the year year. But I think that's just why the line is so close. Kind of what we talked about last week with the Bengals and Steelers, how it was kind of a divisional game, so they're gonna it's gonna be like a field goal one score game. I think they these two teams just always play each other well no matter how one side's looking and how they've looked in the weeks prior. I think both teams and both coaches are gonna get their team ready to play the opposing squad this week. C-Dub: Sure, but we're talking about a team that just put up seven against a defense who's historically bad. Against the Bears, you know? Roc: yeah. No, no, I I I agree. C-Dub: Like I think those two teams b like you said it they've declined year after year. I I just don't see a world where this could be competitive. Roc: I r really think that they have a lot of holes and it's starting to show more and more now because they're not having those big Saquon chunk explosive plays. It's been twelve plus weeks since Saquon's ahead over a hundred yards rushing and their O line just Getting worse, depleting, depleting. They just haven't looked impressive ever. The C-Dub: No. Roc: this the last like calendar year. Even last year when they won double digit games, it's like they just don't look good. The game against the Titans didn't look good. Last Monday, QB sneak away from putting up zero points against a Chicago defense that is not great. And C-Dub: Not great. Roc: yeah, so I I'm rolling with the Rams here. They need a win. You get they can't start off one and three in the NFC West. That division's insanely tough. With Niners being three and Hawks, Super Bowl champs being two and one. C-Dub: Yeah, I mean and I think the line reflects that too, being three points. Roc: I think the only thing that holds this game back from it being just a good football game is the Niners injuries. Who's gonna end up playing and C-Dub: Always. Roc: who's not that they're they're three four starters got hurt last week. But so obviously that if they're if they're not playing then it could make it this make this ugly or make it not as good of a game. But C-Dub: Yeah. Roc: And I wanna see Bo and the Broncos offense actually have a complete game for all four th four quarters. I don't wanna see them just have to come back in the fourth and do their second half ordeal. I wanna see four quarters of good football played by them. C-Dub: Yeah. So I'm just ex excited to watch that matchup of Purdy and how good he's playing against this physical, tough, fast, head hunting Denver defense. So I I'm gonna lean, I'm picking the Broncos in this day. They have a soft spot on my heart with that defense. And I think we're gonna get four quarters of good offense from the Broncos, honestly. I think this is the week that they're gonna do it. C-Dub: I mean, it'd be cool to see it, but they haven't done it yet, and it's always at halftime. is.
