- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Welcome to Chap Souls Podcast.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: I am Ryan.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: I'm here with Adam Kimmel.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Talked to him a couple months ago, met him at Madison.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Just got excited right from the get-go.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Asked him to come on a show.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: And you know, we talked about let's go down the this rabbit hole here, and this is what we're gonna do.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: You know, it's funny when we first did talk, you were there for a private investigation, and I didn't know that you had been to the Madison Seminary way before I purchased it.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Like, how long back was it again that you had been there?
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Uh, I think 19 years ago was my first time I went there.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: So the one thing that got me excited about this discussion, a lot, well, there's gonna be a lot of topics, but you said something really interesting.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: You're like the haunting has changed, it isn't the way it used to be, you know.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Like how the Madison Summary would have been 19 years ago.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: And I was saying, yeah, even back uh 2016, 10 years ago, like the building feels different, you know, like these hauntings evolve.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: But you are probably one of the farthest back.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: What's 19 years from now?
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: That's like oh god, dude.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: 2006, 2007, right?
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: That's in that because I don't know how early people were investigating the seminary, because you know, with the former ownership, you had to know someone who knew someone who knew someone to get in there, you know.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Right, and it was a different ball field, uh ball game, and we talked about this stuff too, all these locations, how the hauntings evolved, and we can get into that.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: We don't have to start with that, but there's a lot of good discussions on that, you know.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, it definitely is.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Um, we're just gonna start a little generic right from the beginning.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: I know you're out there all the time on TikTok and stuff, and to be honest with you, I started watching on TikTok a couple years ago.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: I'm like, this dude is crazy.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Stuff you're saying, I'm like, this dude's off the wall.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: But the more I talk to people, the more I talk to people, the more I do these podcasts.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: You're right on cue here.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Well, I think no, it's interesting, and you and you're in the same lineup, dude.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: It was it was refreshing to talk to you when I had the chance when you're at Madison.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: It's that here's the way I look at the breakdown.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: All right, we all get into the paranormal at some point, via however.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: It could be from being haunted as a child, watching TV shows.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter your origin, the longer you're in the game, you start asking very, very odd and advanced questions.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: It's not black and white.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: When you first get into the paranormal, it's it's very black and white.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh, you're not even really thinking about like, holy shit, I just saw that shadow person.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: What is that?
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: It's it was more the excitement, I saw a shadow person up on that floor, oh my god, and that was the end of it.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: And we just talk about how exciting the experience was of seeing it.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: But then you the longer you're in it, you start breaking down the mechanics.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Like, what the hell did I actually see?
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: What is that disembodied voice?
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: How is EVP phenomena even work?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, you you you you become like this, like uh you just become tortured after a while, and what seems radical actually I think is leading in the right direction to finding the answers.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: So some of it seems crazy though.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: I get it, trust me.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: On some of these lives that I've done, you know, you asked, you actually, I wrote some of the things down in these notes that I had.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: You you actually said uh what uh what are spirits uh in one of the things, and it is it is a very commonly asked question because you know, the one privilege I have of owning the locations, Madison Seminary, Fairfield County Infirmary, and helping uh, you know, with Indiana State Sanitarium, Billy Creek, Sarcelon, and on, you get to see how big the community is.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Because I think when I first got into this, you only think there's like a few ghost hunting teams.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: There's I used to come in and think, man, we're like the first team that's ever done this place.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: We're gonna tell the owner, oh, we show all the all of our evidence.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: What they don't realize is they are there are hundreds of teams that have traveled before you and hundreds that are gonna be after you.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Um, but we all ask that question, what are spirits?
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: And when I'm saying about the teams that are coming through, the different perspectives, when I have the opportunity to sit down and just listen to some teams.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Some teams come in and they're super scientific, like no bullshit.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: It is all science.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: We need to back it up with um, you know, stat statistics, data, all that stuff.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Then you got other teams that are like, we just go by feel and experience, and that's how we catalog it ourselves.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Or you have some teams that are extremely religious.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Now, what is going on with all these different perspectives is the filter of how they investigate.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: So when you ask every individual group that same question, you know, you ask the scientific group, uh, what are spirits?
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: And they're like, it's the exchange of energy, the law of conservation.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: We are an energy source, and when we pass away, we just become this little blip of energy, maybe an orb, you know, it contracts into a little ball, and that's those things we see that is the remnants of that energy.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: If you ask the religious team, uh more than likely they'll say, Well, we're talking to demons.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And then my follow-up is, Well, if you're that religious and you believe in demons, why are you doing this?
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Wouldn't you want to stay away from that shit?
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: And and you know, and I don't say these things to the teams.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: I'm not here to be the I am not Judge Dredd here.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: I I listen to everybody, I don't criticize anyway.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Uh, any tactic of investigating is fine for the individual.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: I have my own, you know, opinions, as you do.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Uh, it's just interesting to listen to that.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: So, you know, it is a loaded question.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: There was another question you had that I really liked.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: All right, because we're just jumping, let's just let's just put the gloves on, let's get into this shit, dude.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Let's just jump in and the the different dimensions question.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: I don't hear about this a lot.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: You you'd said, and I'm taking your stuff and I have my stuff here, but you said, are there different dimensions?
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: You know what is such a can of worms right now with paranormal investigations is the disclosure of aliens, right?
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: We get this big disclosure, and I was like, oh shit.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Because trust me, I've been on the alien train for a while.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: I'm like, there's just no way this the universe or universe is wherever we're in, is just too big.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Uh, it can't be that randomized.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: There has to be something out there.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: But well, if there is a disclosure and they're saying they are here among us, well man, we got to really reevaluate what a shadow person is.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Uh, because that could be an interdimensional being, those could have been aliens from the beginning observing us and just realizing that hey, those ghost hunters are crazy.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: They're gonna mistake you for a ghost and you can spy on them rather easily.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: You can even get caught on camera and they don't know it's you.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: That really raises a question.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Maybe we are overlapping with a bunch of shit with the dimensions.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Perhaps, you know, one interesting theory I heard about that stuff is the past, present, and future all happening at one time.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: And when we're interacting with spirits that we think, it's that it's bleeding over.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: You know, when we hear a disembodied voice and it says hello, we may be bleeding over to the past or bleeding over to the future, and they've heard our disembodied voices, and we're just all interacting with each other, you know.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: These were great questions you asked because, like, this is that seasoned advanced thinking that it will keep you up at night a little bit.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: It doesn't the nostalgia for the game isn't gone, but no, it becomes a little more chaotic, you know.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Like, it's like, whoa, this is a little more in-depth.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, like you talked about, there's three different types of people, you know, scientific, feeling, religion.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: Now, are we ever gonna find the answer?
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: But what we gotta look at does any of that overlap?
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: Maybe that's where the start.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think the way I look at it, you know, in our time right now, okay, we had the Victorian era, and they were messing around with this stuff.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Actually, you know, people have talked about these things for a long, long time spirits, ghosts, all this stuff.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: The Victorian era opened the door with them really trying to communicate with spirits.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: And, you know, you got Edison creating the telephone to the dead.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: You had Tesla talking about this stuff as well.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: Actually, he was talking more about aliens with his energy work.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Um, but with what the tools we have in our hand now are, we are making some advances, but I'm not exactly sure if we're there yet that we can make that break.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: It may take another hundred years.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: I don't think it will always be a forever mystery.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Um, I think humanity is too curious that we are gonna keep chiseling away at it till we get it.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: The way that I try to contribute to the game, uh, of like solving, now I could sit here and just come up with all these theories, ideas, blah, blah, blah, but I I've learned that maybe I am not good enough to finish the game.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: It's like a big puzzle.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And the one thing I've done with the properties is uh, you know, I love watching people come in.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: There's so many new people, there's a whole new generation getting interested.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: They have their own ideas, their own uh way of doing it.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: And I like getting those people excited because the next breakthrough may be with one of those individuals.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: So we need, instead of having such a toxic community, which we do exist in, but again, humanity's toxic.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: We could be a part of the sewing club, and I bet they're brutal.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: No, Betty, you can't sit at our table.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's brut it's brutal wherever you go.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: But what I've learned about that toxicity is I try to be a little bit of the beacon of the light.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: You bring people in.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Hey, people are gonna be shit regardless, but be a part of this community, uh, help work on the puzzle.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: We can figure this out because these are some very, very important questions.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: My backstory is I dropped out of college for this shit.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: I dropped out of five years of political science, international security, and counterterrorism.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: I was uh I had a five-year ride at Slip Rock University, and one EVP, and to any kids watching this, college is a don't don't do it, just get right into the workforce, make some money.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: But I jumped out of that, and one EVP, I dropped out of college.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: I had six uh credits left to go to Washington, D.C.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: for an internship.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: That EVP, because I've always been a science nerd, was like, whoa, because I used to make fun of the shows.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: I thought these shows were bullshit.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: And once you start getting the evidence on your own, and this is why I love skeptics.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: I love I am not gonna be that guy.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Well, tonight Billy's Billy's a skeptic, but he's gonna believe.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: No, Billy can be a skeptic as long as he wants because you need to stay skeptical as long as you can, because the point of no return will come.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: You will see that shadow person, you will hear that disembodied voice, you will get something that tips you over the edge, and then you're on a show like this talking with us.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: Like there's a no point of return.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: All right, let's talk about equipment here.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: Talk about how we're making advances, and this is where my debate is gonna start coming in.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: It's one reason why I created it.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: Is the equipment we are using helping or hurting the paranormal field?
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: I think it's hurting.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: I think false positives and people are believing and not the right thing.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: If I have to be real, like here's the thing.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: I think a lot we're we're like basically using, we're like cavemen with our equipment.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: That's the age we're in right now, right?
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: Here's the dilemma.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: Let me explain why equipment may be misleading investigations, getting these false positives.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: You are very familiar with the Madison Seminary.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: You know we have a haunting known as Sarah.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Was Sarah's room there back when you investigated?
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: Was it Sarah's room?
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, I think you'd said that.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: This is why, and I'm quite sure there'd be some owners that would love to capitalize on this.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: Like, I got a little demon child in my my building, and it's a haunted Sarah, all this shit.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: I question that haunting because I would love to know what team came in first before the Madison Seminary was even on the grid.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Some team had to come in to establish these hotspots that are eventually going to be talked about later.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: That first team that came in, what equipment were you using?
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: And please, God, tell me you weren't just a group of psychics going on feeling like I feel there's a Sarah.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: That would really throw me through a loop of just being pissed off and really talking shit.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: But what equipment did you use that night?
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: How were you investigating?
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: And how did you come to the conclusion that it was a definitive hit that there is a little girl named Sarah haunting in that specific room of the Madison Seminary?
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Were you using a bunch of REM pods?
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Were you asking your questions slow?
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: Were you asking your questions fast?
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: I don't even think the tactic of Estes method, which came from the Geinsteld experiment, even existed back when the, you know, this would have been established.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: You know, so what tactics were you using?
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Was it a bunch of BP lights going off right at a good sequence?
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Are you a girl?
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Are you a boy?
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: And then did it just line up right?
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: How did we come to that definitive conclusion?
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: I think that misleads a lot of hauntings at a lot of locations.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: You you get what I'm getting to in my grievances.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Is some of the equipment good?
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: I think the Ovelus is a piece of shit tool.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, when you look at it in theory, um, it's a database, right?
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Yes, it's like a 10,000, whatever X amount of words, and you're telling me you can fire this thing right up, and whatever word is said is a ghost talking to you.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: They they figured out like, if I put this X amount of energy into the device, I can get the word rabbit.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: But if I put this X amount of energy in, I can get the word road.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: You get what I'm saying?
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Like, what a piece of shit tool.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: I and I'm but here's the thing where I try to this is in my position, it is still you never get out of politics, it's social politics.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: I still have a lot of friends in my group, uh, my whole circle that really like the Ovelus, and I've got those that don't.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: So again, I listen to everybody.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: That's just my personal opinion from the breakdown, but it's yeah.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: No, I mean word banks, apps, I think they're all bullshit.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: That's my theory on it.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: I have friends that use apps, I have friends that use you know, ovulus.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: Have at it, you know.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: I'm game with it.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: If you want to use it, I'm not gonna take any credit for it.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: Trust me.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: When you sit there, are you with me?
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: And it goes outside, and you're like, Oh, you're outside next to you.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, you're next to me.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: Rabbit hole, oh, you're down the rabbit hole.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: Like, do you get twist anything?
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Yes, because every word becomes relevant, they think, right?
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: And it could just be okay, okay.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: The only way I could really defend the obelisk, this would have to be an experiment where you set an obelisk in a location for an X amount of time, and you allow whatever environmental energy or these floating EMF anomalies to trigger the device, and every word in that database goes off.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: That's also a far stretch.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: That's to be like, then you've seen every word used in the database, which means theoretically, theoretically, but not very strong, is that a spirit has understood how to manipulate every single word in that database?
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: You get what I'm saying?
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Like it's almost like taking the obelisk to a brand new location.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: Unless something's following you that is very advanced, because this gets like into the ghost adventures theory.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Why does the uh ghost adventures group get so much evidence?
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Regardless of what people think about Zach and what they've been doing, I would believe that they do have a lot of attachments following them, which means they will never, ever, ever again have an investigation where they're communicating with the domestic haunting.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: It's more than likely a foreign haunting that's following them and just contaminating their investigation.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: But what I'm getting at with that is if you do have these spirits that are following you, they must understand what you're using.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: They must understand when you pull out a digital voice recorder that you are trying to capture their voice in some form or another.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: And they may maybe tell other spirits how that works.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: And that's even like very soft thinking.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: It may not even work like that.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: We all assume there's the invisible people just hanging out, waiting for you when you come in the door.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Like, what the shit, dude?
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Like, what a terrible existence! Like, but yeah.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say, you've been doing this for years.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: I mean, you can make a recording, put pauses in between it and say words, and just go into a location with whoever and say, Hey, I got this app, let's try it out.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: And it's just recording of I'm behind you.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Um, what I heard on I don't know which device it is, maybe it's the opposite of that, but like you can actually program when the statistical um like a statistical value of how often a word is said um due to uh EMF interference.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, put an obelisk next to a microwave, put it next to a refrigerator, see what happens, you know.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: I don't mean to be blunt on this, but like for out of the uh means for experimentation, do that, see what happens.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: They'll they'll go crazy, they'll just start like ripping words out and stuff.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: But you can program it to say more common words like demon, uh trapped, get out.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: So it's all I don't know, man.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: But that does get into a question you asked.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: I'm hitting your big four that's on this paragraph.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: It says, Okay, why does some stay behind?
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: And this gets into that question like, are ghosts really just hanging out?
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Are they sitting at these properties waiting for people to come in?
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Uh why does some stay behind?
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: And you know, the more I've thought about this is that let's uh this is my personal belief that you know, if you think about your grandparents, uh eventually the world passes everybody by.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Uh, I'm a millennial, right?
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: So to me, like the world kind of capped.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: I I the nostalgia of the world was like the early two like 90s, 2000s, early 2000s.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: That's the way like I still remember the world at its like most magical time.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: And now we just exist, we float through the world.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: But if you look at the people that came before us, uh they kind of get stuck in a certain time period.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Look at music, for example.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: There is a certain point where you peak on music, and and I don't give a shit who's listening right now.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Adam, that's so that's so not even true.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, it will happen to you eventually, to where your musical taste will peak.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: And when you get into your 40s or your 50s and you listen to this new music that's coming out, you're probably not gonna like it.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: You're not gonna be able to connect with it.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: You know, you're stuck in a certain time period.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: So I think spirits are the same way with the way things used to look, the way furniture was set up, the way the world was operating.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, my grandparents were the people that used to have the TV on top of the other TV because they don't want to get rid of their old TV.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: Uh and you walk into the house and it was like time capsuled.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: It was not modernized.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Now, maybe grandparents now, which we're getting older, have modernized a little bit more.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: But like you'd walk into their house and it was like, dang, dude, this is like you're walking back into the 60s, you know?
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: And I think with ghosts, they get comfortable with that and they don't why do why do hauntings peek off when you're renovating a house?
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: It's like you're disturbing what they remember.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: If they are there, they're trying to tether themselves to the last thing in this world they remember.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: If it's not family, if they're not ready to pass on, and we can get into that question, but like if they're trying to just stay a little longer and hold on to a memory that is fleeting, it's the that environment.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: They're they're remembering the things around them, and the minute you start changing that shit, oh dude, you have destroyed the last thing that they remember.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: And it's gonna get probably a little physical, perhaps, maybe poltergeist, maybe that's what's causing it.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: They're just angry.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: But have you seen that in Madison at all?
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, a lot of poltergeist, yeah.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Well, here's the interesting thing: I try to make it look like home to them, and I tell the spirits that.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: I say, uh, when I first bought it in 2016, crazy walking around, I was telling all the spirits this is your home.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: I'm just I'm gonna be taking care of it for a little while, but at the end of the day, this is still yours.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna do my best to recreate it to, you know, a turn of the century look all the way up into the 60s, you know, various different decorations, the best that I can do with the crew that knows the layout and the formula.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Um, I've also told spirits that they're they're free to leave if they want to.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing you know, when you hear these spirits that say they're trapped or they can't leave, I don't think that's a human thing that we're doing.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: I think either they're stuck in some kind of uh trauma that they're just communicating, they feel trapped.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: Even in death, they still feel trapped.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Even though, like in the asylum, when you go up there into the wing, all the doors are always open.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: You know, it's not like we're closing doors.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: That's actually a thing.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: We always keep all the doors open that you're free to go.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: I think if spirits do decide to stay there, their energy, their essence, whatever they are, it's because they're trying to hold on to a world that's no longer there, and this is their last battle front.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Because the minute you leave the seminary, man, the world has changed dramatically.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Like, what the hell is a sheets?
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: What the hell are these things with four wheels walking around or like driving around uh Corvettes and stuff, you know?
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, I have run into that though, and I but I think I've run into the reversal though.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: When I started getting the Civil War second floor wing furnished, I heard more disembodied voices, I heard like chatter between women, uh, heard the phantom footsteps.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: It's almost like it elevated the activity, but that also raises another can of worms.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: You're bringing in items that are not from that location and putting it in there.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Is that a foreign haunting I'm experiencing, or is it a mix of the domestic and haunted or the foreign like mixing, you know?
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: That's a tough one.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: Um, I was talking about it.
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: That's a tough one.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: It's it's in it's inconclusive.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: It's hard.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: You can't you can only speculate.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was talking to one of your guides one time because I brought a group there two years ago, never really investigated before.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: They wanted to go there.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: Like, let's start with Madison, it's not that bad.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: It's not that scary.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's very easy.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: Um, we went there, it was nonstop all night.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: They were freaked out.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: I had someone leave.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Oh damn, dude, sorry about that.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: Like, I've been here so many times, it's been cool.
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: Then the next time I went there, I was talking to your guide, and they're like, Oh, you know, Adam brought some stuff over from a place that I think you're trying to buy, but had to be demolished.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yep, yep.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm like, Man, you can't be mixing that stuff in, like, right?
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, like you said, is it another spirit that's you know, fighting with another spirit, trying to take is it you know the alpha?
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Or is it like I I can see you know, it's it's hard, and we'll get into the doll attachments because I feel like we're on the same page.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Um, but getting into item attachments, it's like you know, you bring these items and you're assuming a lot of people think a ghost actually comes with the item.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: If anything, it's more like stone tape theory.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: And for anyone that's not familiar with stone tape theory, that is the theory that the concrete, the brick, the wood, the mortar, all the things around us that we see are absorbing the energy of this environment, us mainly, our voices are constantly being recorded.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: And this would later play what we may believe to be residual hauntings of the disembodied voices, the phantom footsteps.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: You know, it could all be projected from that.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: But I think 95% of the time, these items that you are bringing in are covered with residual energy.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: It's more of a question of what does that residual energy do to the environment you bring it into?
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: But yeah, we'll talk about like haunted objects.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know that's the debate I'm coming up.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: I don't want to give too much about that.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: My take on that, a lot of people know my take on it.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: But I think haunted objects are more realistic than haunted dolls.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: And my theory is like a haunted object, you talk about piano, you talk about desk.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: You know, if a desk has an attachment, it's because maybe that person wrote you know books on the desk.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: That was their best time in their life.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: Sitting down writing books or sitting down playing piano.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: Um, dolls, yeah.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: I can't sorry, I can't I can't buy any dog doll stuff.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: That's just me.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know why someone would have a doll and probably less than four percent might have an attachment to it.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: The rest are just just because they're old and creepy.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: I think the majority of a haunting on a doll is residual.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: It's let's say a child loved that doll dramatically, like you know what I mean.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Like, or that doll was in a house that experienced a lot of violence and trauma that's just stained onto the doll.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Does that mean there's an intelligence on the doll?
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: No, but someone had said I had a sensitive that came in once that said something really interesting about Maddie.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: Now, I don't know where Maddie came from.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: That's uh one of the dolls.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: So when I purchased, well, you knew Maddie was there at the time, right?
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: So it's like, what the dude?
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: I'm walking 2010 was the first time I was there, and of course, the ownership prior to this, they were not ghost hunters, they owned a nursery business.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: They just knew people like were crazy like us that wanted to go in, and we wanted to see if it was haunted, right?
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: So, of course, they uh they had said that you know, this is Maddie, she's a haunted doll that's here.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: She belongs to one of the spirits.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: I don't even think she was in Sarah's room the first time I was there, maybe the second time, and then I was told it was Sarah's doll.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: And it's like, how convenient, how convenient a place gets shut down.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: And this this ghost spirit, now it had to have been brought in by somebody because the seminary, the actual like department of health closes in '72 or so.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Like, then it shuts down, it sits vacant for a few years.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: The police department takes over.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: They're there from 1980 to 86-ish.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: And then they transfer to another department out here on Hubbard.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: It sits vacant from 86 to about 93 until the former ownership bought it.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: So we're in this time, like it's not from the it's not from any of the women that were senile here at the turn of the century.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Plus, also, we know it's a patty pack and play from the 1950s, so it cannot exceed the 50s.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: You get what I'm saying?
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Like, I can't point its origin.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: My explanation would be a team in the very, very beginning.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: It might have been the very first team that discovered Sarah, may have brought that doll that night and left it there.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: But there's no carbon footprint of their investigation or anything they did, you know.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: So we're not gonna know.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: We can only speculate on that.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: Um, he this the sensitive said though, because that doll gets so much attention that spirits would be drawn to that because of the attention it gets.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: And that was a small turning point to me.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: Because I'm not saying dolls are haunted.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: I think that is the stupidest gimmick for any location to say we have this huge room of haunted dolls.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: If the like, what is it, Robert the doll down in Key West, yeah, or you've got Annabelle.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: If it is so sought after by the public at large, then it is possible there could be an attachment to it simply because it knows there's gonna be a lot of people and the attention to it.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: But if you go to a goodwill and you just find a creepy ass doll on the counter, you're like, oh, I just feel like it's haunted.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: I don't know, no, I can't I can't get behind that.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Uh maybe a residual stain of energy, but I really doubt.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm like, I'm trying to come up with a scenario because I I would like to see.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm playing devil's advocate from all angles.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: Like maybe the doll consists of human hair, maybe the doll has human teeth in it.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: You know, I've seen some crazy contraptions of dolls.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: It it's a it's a very long shot, but I'm with you.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: I lean not towards that, you know.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, it has to be less than two percent.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: Less than two percent, yeah.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm not gonna rule it out completely because we're in the room of the unknown, but I'm with you on those numbers.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: That's pretty healthy to say 98% of the cases, just right now, no.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, because I bought an antique store, it's old.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, 40 years, I'm gonna be an antique and I'm gonna be old, so am I gonna be haunted?
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: I mean, right, right, right, right.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: Come on, man.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: So let's talk about Madison real quick because it's been bothering me.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: I talked to you a little bit about this.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: What the hell is up with the stories just popping up?
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: Um the what popping up, the stories, yes, the port, the portal in the closet of Sarah's room.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: One of that.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: So oh, so from as from what I've heard, back in the day, people had said that Sarah's closet was a portal.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: That's what we were told by former ownership.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: I honestly forgot about that for many years.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Uh, I'm not the biggest believer in portals, but I'll get into our experiment with portals.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Um, the question when it comes to portals, and this is what's so tough, and this is a huge debate question.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: This will get people fired up and fighting each other, is it's the chicken and the egg theory.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: What came first?
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: When you say portal, did the portal exist in that location before you came there?
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: Or did we create the portal by maybe thinning the veil by communicating heavily in that area?
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: But there's people on both sides of that argument.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Um, I guess how I feel about portals, if they exist.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Well, I think everything can be a portal.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: I because okay.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: What is a portal?
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: Because when you think of portal, something's coming through it, right?
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: These things would already exist in this plane, they wouldn't need a portal per se, unless you're thinking of something that tethers from one location to another, that would make more sense, but that's a whole different rabbit hole that may be not even relatable.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: So when it comes to portals, I do not stand on anything in Sarah's room.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: I know that there's something crazy going on in that area.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: I think it's self-induced.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: I think by us all communicating with something, uh, maybe we created the haunting there, but I will say there's something intelligent that that is there now that likes to bite back at times.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: Um, it's very, very smart.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: It knows when it wants to come out, it understands puppetry.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: But then Jeff Fenn and I got together, and uh, this gets into the mirror room that we created on the first floor on the opposing side of the caretaker's wing.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: It is a six by six by six cube.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: That's how the measurements came out um of mirrors.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: And it's it's based on something called a devil's toy box.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: I'm not a belie uh a big believer in demons.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: I was raised Catholic, I'm not very religious.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: Uh, never really, I just I can't really get behind the demon thing.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: I think if they do exist, they got more important things to do than try to to possess ghost hunters.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Why wouldn't you be trying to infiltrate the Pentagon or you know, places of high interest if you existed?
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: But with the mirror room, and this is a question I can ask you what do you know about facing mirrors at each other?
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: Suppose they create portals.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: I don't believe in that stuff, but right.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: I ask people this all the time.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: Why people say, well, that's bad, you shouldn't do that.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: But like, why is that a is that a wives tale or something that got spread down from the Victorian era?
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: I I want to do it for research because I said to Jeff, what what's let's try?
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: What would happen?
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: And and and here's where it comes down to the subjectiveness of the investigator, right?
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: Every investigation is open to the subjectivity of the user.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: You know, if you were to show me evidence from your investigation, I'm just observing it.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: I was not there.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: I don't know all the situation that was happening, all the circumstances, the different kinds of feels that were happening, and even some more of the evidence that hasn't been presented, right?
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: It's interesting the things that happen to people when they do Estes in there, when they do EVP recordings and stuff.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Is it because mirrors?
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: That's something they've said for a long time.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: Like mirrors shouldn't be facing each other, creates an infinity loop, all these things, these things travel to the mirrors.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: Again, if you interview Jeff or even just talk to Jeff, he'll say the same thing.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: We're sitting on the back porch, it's a 15-minute discussion.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: We're like, let's do it, let's see what happens, you know.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've had a lot of people that say they've experienced nothing in there, and I had a lot of people say that, like, man, their SS was crazy.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: Could that be the subjectivity of the user?
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: Possible, very possible.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: I think it's just like Sarah's room for detention because people are going to the devil's toy box.
- 32:33SPEAKER_01: Everybody's doing devil's toy box, everybody's doing Sarah's.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: So it's not the mirrors that created it, we're creating the haunting in there.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: So that would get into the portal idea, maybe that like we're creating these hot spots where spirits, well, again, we there's uh some investigators out there that think a spirit like Sarah's room, Sarah hangs out in Sarah's room the whole time, right?
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: Just waiting for someone to come in.
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: These spirits can, I believe, free roam throughout the building.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: Um, they can they could follow people, you know.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Uh then again, it's very ballsy to even say we're talking to the same Sarah.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: The Sarah you talked to on your night may have not been the same Sarah I was talking to on my night.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: You know, this could be the mimic theory of spirits just jumping in and out and they know the script.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: They know to be the perfect actress because they've heard the history over and over again.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: They've heard the theories we have about them, and they're like, Oh, we'll be this theory tonight.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, cool.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: But the same haunting that's happening with Sarah could be coming over to the mirror room because there's a heavy traffic going in there, just like you said, that's very, very, very plausible.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: All right, so new newest one I heard lately, Madison twins in the attic.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: That's new to me.
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: Okay, good.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: Here's the thing, and I'll say about this, and I get a lot of scrutiny for this because teams will come in and say this to me, like, you should know you're the owner.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: I don't exit interview teams.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: Right now, now here's this gets interesting to how we started this.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: I think hey, we're lagging a little bit.
- 33:57SPEAKER_01: You're good.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: Okay, all right.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: It was just glitchy here on mine.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: That you know, a haunting evolves after all this time.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: You were the haunting when you first walked in 19 years ago, and the haunting I experienced 16 years ago, or even before that was 2010, yeah.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, 16 years ago, it's different than it is now.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: So, what is being brought into a location?
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: What I can say is, you know, you have the foreign versus domestic haunting.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know what is domestic still there.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: It probably, if you think about like things get buried over time, think of it like layers of the earth.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: It just keeps getting buried, buried.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: It's still there, but you have to dig for it, right?
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: You got to peel these layers back.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: But every investigation, your investigation, my investigation, the thousands of investigations that have happened here are all creating sediment, a layer of the haunting that eventually is going to it's contaminating it, right?
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: It's contaminated, it's like going to a beach and leaving your trash there.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: And then we push sand back over it, we clean it up, but that trash is still there, right?
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: There's layers, layers, layers.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Um, someone that night may have experienced something, but then you got to debate was it an attachment that followed in there, or did you see two shadow people at the same time from opposite ends?
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: Because I've heard this where you know you get two shadow peeps there, and it's like, well, they're twins.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: I think I vaguely remember this now, someone talking about that.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've heard a thousand different things.
- 35:23SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: But that but that's the thing, that's not ground for law, and even we can't be the jurisdiction.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: I was telling the crew this that over time, there were a lot of people that did a lot of shit talking.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: That's not the Madison Seminary.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: I remember before you bought it, you changed the whole haunting.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: It's like, well, first off, listen, there are things happening, and if it happens enough, you know, or you know, the crew has has ex investigated that place a lot.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: We have dubbed a few rooms with names that helps us identify maybe situations that happened that were canon events.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: You know, you got the room we've called the mind warp room, but it probably had a name before we got there.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: We just call mind warp because there have been some interesting cases of people having very, very messed up situations or circumstances in there or experiences.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: You know, now again in 10 years, can the haunting evolve again?
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: We've already seen it, it's gonna happen.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: And when we're well long and gone, and someone's watching this podcast 100 years in the future for footnotes, they're gonna find this to be very interesting, but they're gonna be like, What the hell are they talking about?
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: Sarah's room.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: That's there's no Sarah, that's Joe Jolene or something, you know what I mean?
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, it yeah, but I mean, like you said, created hauntings, and that just doesn't go for room to room, that goes for the whole building.
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: So, what does make what does Mass Seminary have that the building down the street doesn't have?
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: You know, why isn't that it's because we're asking the questions, yes.
- 36:49SPEAKER_01: So yes, if a spirit wants to be heard, they don't go where people are asking questions.
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: Yes, so I mean they may not be attached to the building, but they're 100%.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: So here's here's what it comes down to, and I call this like open mic night, right?
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: You um you do have a domestic haunting, you had over 250 some women we know passed away in the seminary.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: The ledger book goes on and on.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of women that pass away in that building, right?
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: That'd be your domestic layer.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: So you would have an advantage going to the seminary and maybe experiencing something versus the neighbor, right?
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: Um, but you may maybe you get a lot of splash effect.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's just so close because the land was attached to that one time.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: Maybe the experience of their house, they just don't tell me.
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: You know, like if I actually maybe sat down with them, like, man, every every night we hear weird noises and footsteps, and it's probably a splash because of the radius of the seminary.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: But let's say we go to the other side of Madison right now.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: This is in Madison, Ohio.
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: We go to the other side of town, and we start having people investigate there.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: Like just tell ghost hunters, this place, uh, it's called the Brian, the Brian Theory, um, where you just tell people that it's haunted by a little boy named Brian, have investigators go in, and uh according to the theory, eventually they're gonna start getting answers of a ghost saying his name's Brian, things like that.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: You're getting an intelligent response.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: This could get into mimic, though.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: There could be a man named Paul there, but like shit, they don't even know my name is Paul.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: And even if I say Paul, they keep asking for Brian, so I'm just gonna be Brian.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: But if you were to go to those houses and heavily investigate it, I believe you can create any spot to be haunted because of its popularity.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: If you have a revolving door of people coming in and out of there, you're gonna have attachments that go into that place, they're gonna stay there for a little bit, they're gonna attach to other people, they're gonna leave, and it's gonna be this revolving door.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: Um, so really you could do it anywhere.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: One of my theories or my plans was to, you know, buy a house with no history to it whatsoever and just let the community investigate there and see what rules with it.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: With no no deaths there, no anything.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: That would be a very interesting experiment to see what happens.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: Let the community write the narrative, you know.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: I would start like a lot of people on the show like I'd love to own a Honda location.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: Well, just sit in your house, start asking questions.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: There you go.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: You already got one.
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: You'll have one.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: It's true.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: Because I think a lot of people are like, Oh, we don't investigate at our house, we investigate when we go out.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: Dude, that doesn't that gets into a lot of I've got deep questions here of like that stuff.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: It's like I don't know how to set it.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: Could you set boundaries for the dead?
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, maybe.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: That would come with like intent and uh uh you know, output of energy, maybe.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: Uh it's like the power of prayer.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: Like, regardless if anyone believes in religion or not, if you are putting that much power into a thought and you get a group of people praying in a room, yeah, weird stuff starts to happen because we are manifesting an energy uh to do that.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: Could you put those boundaries up and say, like, no, ghosts can't follow me home?
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: Things like that.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: I don't think it's always gonna work, if any.
- 39:51SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: Like, I think they're gonna follow you no matter what.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, but that was one of the questions I had here.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: It's like, it's controversial topics.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: One of the controversial topics was does protection work?
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: Uh, Beck and I went to Sheboygan, uh, Sheboygan Asylum up in Wisconsin for a tour.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: And uh I've never seen how other properties run.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: Like, literally, in my 16 years, I have stayed close to home to base.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: Like, I am a majority of the time either at the Madison Seminary or the Fairsfield County Infirmary, or I travel over to ISS to help with events we have going there.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: I don't travel outside of the network often.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: So I don't get I hear a lot of complaints from the community of their complaints of how other locations are running things, and there's other locations that people love.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: You know, I get like I could have a whole show called Paranormal Bartender.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: I can tell you at large what the community thinks of places, but we went to Sheboygan and this was very interesting.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: Um, and shout out to uh Frank, he was one of the guides there that night.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: We had to leave early and he he gave us a little private tour because we drove like 10 and a half hours.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: We were out visiting family in the area.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: But when we started that tour, about to the one tour guide said, if you have protection on, take it off.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: I was like, wow, that's interesting.
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: Like, not that I'm in that ballpark, I don't carry protection, but I'm like, holy shit, you try to do this in an area like in Ohio where we have a lot of traffic, you're gonna have a lot of irate people like, I'm not taking my cross off, I'm not taking my rocks off.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: Uh, and in the now, here's the uh power of like groups.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: It's like if you were to do an experiment and we all see the color red, and there's 20 of us that see the color red on the wall, but the 19 of us say, no matter what happens, say it's blue.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: What's interesting, what happens to that night, that last 20th person that's like the last one up, and it's like, dude, that's red, but everyone's saying blue.
- 41:37SPEAKER_00: I guess shit, I'll say it's blue.
- 41:39SPEAKER_00: And it was interesting how everyone surrendered their protection when people started doing it.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: Then things just weird.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: And the the lady goes, We're we're getting rid of this because this is a ghost town, which I was like, Oh shit, I just wanted a historical tour.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: I was like, Fuck, I did not sign up for this shit.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: But uh they did that, and I was like, Wow, very interesting.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: That comes onto a certain kind of belief.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: Like, does protection do that?
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: And I guess in their case, they do believe that would work, right?
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: That's the whole thing you're talking about protection, and you know, I don't have anything, I just believe my positive attitude and my belief right is what works, but it I do find it funny when people are like you can't follow me home.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: Like if I'm a spirit, that's an invitation, dude.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: Like, uh, let's get on.
- 42:26SPEAKER_01: We're gonna have some fun now.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: Uh so I mean, but if you believe that works, then I think that would because I think it's mind over matter, majority of the stuff, anyways.
