- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Which accounted for eighty percent of the religious based hate crimes.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Who do you think we're targeted, Joos? Why?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Because they own all the media, they own all the
- 0:23Speaker 2: insurance company, they and all the businesses, and if you
- 0:26Speaker 2: ask Marjorie Taylor Green, they also control the laser beams
- 0:30Speaker 2: that come down from the satellite and light up our
- 0:33Speaker 2: wildfires here in California.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And now Handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:40Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Hey, good morning everybody. It's Monday morning, December eighth.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Unfortunately, we were not able to celebrate December seventh, Pearl Harbor.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Day, which we normally do.
- 0:54Speaker 2: And I normally go to synagogue where the rabbi for
- 1:00Speaker 2: Torah Torah Torah. That, by the way, is a that's
- 1:05Speaker 2: a historical joke.
- 1:07Speaker 3: And why is that?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Because, of course, the Torah is the five Books of Moses,
- 1:14Speaker 2: the Old Testament, which is used in synagogue all the time.
- 1:17Speaker 3: And Torah Torah Torah.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Was the coded name that the Japanese used to radio
- 1:25Speaker 2: back to Japan that the December seventh attack was successful.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Torah Torah phil Handle jokes always historical, never hysteric.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Very well said, handle jokes right on point, never funny,
- 1:43Speaker 2: understood though. All right, good morning everybody, let's do it
- 1:48Speaker 2: will There you are half screen, greatly appreciated. Good morning,
- 1:53Speaker 2: you're good morning, Sir Kono. There you are here I am,
- 1:56Speaker 2: and Neil.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Good morning, There you are.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Are.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Amy. What is that that's written on your sweatshirt?
- 2:03Speaker 2: You always have something written I can't see that, believe,
- 2:08Speaker 2: I believe, as in the.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Back of football helmets during games.
- 2:14Speaker 5: No, it's in Christmas season.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Huh huh, got it.
- 2:20Speaker 5: It's full on Christmas over over.
- 2:22Speaker 2: For the first time, first time in my life. I'm
- 2:25Speaker 2: getting a Christmas tree. I'm actually, yeah, I've never done
- 2:28Speaker 2: that before. Christ Yes, that's very funny. What we're going
- 2:33Speaker 2: to do. Actually, are two trees, one the traditional Well,
- 2:37Speaker 2: first of all, let me say hello, Amy, good morning,
- 2:39Speaker 2: good morning, and that's I think everybody. I do believe,
- 2:44Speaker 2: and and anything written.
- 2:48Speaker 3: On her going.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Okay, Actually I conflated Amy with an I do that
- 2:54Speaker 2: all the time because both names start with an A.
- 2:57Speaker 3: And now christ tree talk.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Two Christmas trees, one traditional Christmas tree in my front window.
- 3:07Speaker 2: It's going to be a real Christmas tree. We're shopping tomorrow,
- 3:10Speaker 2: and I had no idea how much money.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Just a Christmas tree costs. Holy moly, big, I think
- 3:18Speaker 3: nine foot.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Oh that's going to be. That's gonna be what about
- 3:21Speaker 5: three hundred bucks?
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yeah? That I can't stand it, I really can't.
- 3:24Speaker 6: And then then in the late fifty to get rid
- 3:27Speaker 6: of the rodents.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yes, and then the well said, and then the lights
- 3:31Speaker 2: outside the house, the white lights that are going to
- 3:34Speaker 2: come in and come on, guys, it is so expensive
- 3:38Speaker 2: to be Christian during Christmas. Jews do a minora, a
- 3:43Speaker 2: little tiny candlabra and you electricity. It's one light, one match,
- 3:50Speaker 2: and you stick eight candles on it and you are done.
- 3:54Speaker 3: That's it. Welcome to Hanika, all right.
- 3:58Speaker 2: So in the meantime, we've got two One Honika bush
- 4:03Speaker 2: is going up and the other Christmas tree Honka bush
- 4:06Speaker 2: will be blue and white lights. And there is a menora,
- 4:10Speaker 2: a lighted manora at the top where the star usually
- 4:16Speaker 2: is placed.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So I'll put that up. I just can't.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I cannot believe how expensive Christmas is.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Are you guys going to get a mench on the bench?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Oh, that's very funny. An elf on the shelf on
- 4:30Speaker 2: the elf.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Yeah, there really is a bench on the bench.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I know, you know, I've seen it. I've
- 4:36Speaker 2: seen it. We don't have a bench for it. It's
- 4:40Speaker 2: it's just so expensive.
- 4:41Speaker 6: Max asked last night if we have an ELF on
- 4:44Speaker 6: the shelf because we're putting stuff up, and I said, no,
- 4:47Speaker 6: we have a stealth ELF on the shelf and you
- 4:50Speaker 6: can't see it unless they.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Come from Holland. And then there is an ELF made
- 4:55Speaker 2: in Delft.
- 4:57Speaker 4: I'm not familiar with that location, but I'm sure it's funny.
- 5:01Speaker 3: It is it actually is actually that.
- 5:03Speaker 5: I think everybody at Holland is yes, no, no, death.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Is definitely I think it's Holland. I think it's the
- 5:10Speaker 2: Netherlands in any case. So there's that that we put
- 5:14Speaker 2: to bed and the other thing. Uh And this is
- 5:17Speaker 2: what Michelle sent. We're still waiting for more money to
- 5:22Speaker 2: come in for our fifteenth annual Pastathon. A lot of
- 5:26Speaker 2: it won't come in until Christmas because those giving machines
- 5:30Speaker 2: are being collected and it looks like we're going to
- 5:33Speaker 2: raise more money. As of the end of Pastathon our broadcast,
- 5:39Speaker 2: we were at one million, two hundred and eighty nine
- 5:42Speaker 2: twenty dollars. Oh, man, Yeah, we have to hit one
- 5:47Speaker 2: point three million in order to beat last year.
- 5:50Speaker 5: No, we already beat last year.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Oh did we?
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:53Speaker 5: No, it was one. It was one. We rounded up,
- 5:56Speaker 5: so it's one point two eight nine. Right now, we're
- 5:59Speaker 5: therety thousand dollars ahead of last year.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Got it?
- 6:03Speaker 2: And our rec eard year was twenty twenty three, one
- 6:06Speaker 2: point three million dollars, eighty one thousand pounds of pasta
- 6:09Speaker 2: and Michelle said in this email for Michelle, because she
- 6:12Speaker 2: ran the whole thing, expecting things to actually go down
- 6:16Speaker 2: this year because of the economy, but KFI listeners came
- 6:20Speaker 2: through KFI Listener. Since twenty ten, we've raised almost ten
- 6:26Speaker 2: million dollars nine point eight million, over a million pounds
- 6:29Speaker 2: of pasta and sauce for Katarina's Club. And the money
- 6:32Speaker 2: that Neil and I raised for our.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Event is no, no, there's a no.
- 6:40Speaker 2: There's a reason I'm saying this is it was actually
- 6:43Speaker 2: jokingly good to say, hey, did we haven't act at
- 6:46Speaker 2: auction at all? So the auction that we raised that
- 6:51Speaker 2: private barbecue at my house with Neil and I broadcasting
- 6:54Speaker 2: there is at forty one thousand dollars right now for
- 6:58Speaker 2: that auction event, and we are still talking to people.
- 7:01Speaker 2: There are still balls being juggled in the air as figure.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Is there more people?
- 7:10Speaker 3: I know, same number of people.
- 7:12Speaker 2: But what they're doing is they're outbidding each other, still
- 7:16Speaker 2: not as to win, but as to simply see how
- 7:19Speaker 2: much money can be raised for our auction item.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Oh you should throw in something a little extra to
- 7:25Speaker 5: incentivize them.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Oh we've thrown in plenty to incentivize them.
- 7:28Speaker 5: A picture with the bill handle.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we have thrown in a knife set worth
- 7:34Speaker 2: a couple thousand dollars, really high end, Gormet said, a
- 7:37Speaker 2: year's worth of Zelman's. And the event is going to
- 7:43Speaker 2: be insane catering by Anaheim White House, And if you've
- 7:48Speaker 2: never had catering by the White House, it's insanity.
- 7:51Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 7:52Speaker 6: I should reach out to the people from Melissa's Produce
- 7:56Speaker 6: and see if they'll give a year's worth of garlic
- 7:59Speaker 6: and onions.
- 8:00Speaker 2: That would be very strong. And we combine that with Zelman's.
- 8:05Speaker 2: So we're still we're still talking. I mean, it's we've
- 8:08Speaker 2: never come close to that now. Granted it's uh, you know,
- 8:12Speaker 2: compared to other people, we've done much better. However, Uh,
- 8:15Speaker 2: it's it's a it's unique in its own way because
- 8:18Speaker 2: we can have more than one couple join us, for
- 8:20Speaker 2: more than one person join us, So there are some differences.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So it's not as impressive as it sounds. Except uh,
- 8:28Speaker 2: it's it's as impressive as it sounds. Okay, that goes down,
- 8:36Speaker 2: all right, Ready for some news on on on on
- 8:39Speaker 2: a Monday.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, come on, I'm patting you too, Neil. I'm
- 8:48Speaker 2: giving us both the credit. It's a good credit.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 8:52Speaker 2: It is time for handle on the news with Amy,
- 8:55Speaker 2: Neil and me lead. Sorry, the controversy regarding the second
- 9:03Speaker 2: video of that boat attack in the Caribbean by US forces.
- 9:09Speaker 2: First boat attack basically killed everybody drug boat and the
- 9:15Speaker 2: second attack, which we're not seeing video were of two survivors,
- 9:21Speaker 2: and we're getting two different views of this, two different descriptions.
- 9:26Speaker 2: The Republicans are saying, oh no, they were trying to
- 9:29Speaker 2: overturn the boat that was already a wash in water
- 9:32Speaker 2: that weighed thousands of pounds. They were to go to
- 9:35Speaker 2: overturn and take their radios which didn't exist, and I
- 9:39Speaker 2: guess take their weapons which didn't exist, and fight back
- 9:43Speaker 2: against aircraft that were flying at four hundred miles an
- 9:47Speaker 2: hour the attack aircraft. Now the Democrats are saying, it's
- 9:52Speaker 2: these two survivors that were clinging to debris fighting for
- 9:56Speaker 2: their lives when they were attacked. I gotta tell you,
- 10:00Speaker 2: I'm gonna lay politics aside. I tend to believe the former.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I don't think two guys swimming in the ocean we're
- 10:11Speaker 2: trying to overturn a boat of this size so they
- 10:16Speaker 2: could go and fight the armed forces of the United
- 10:21Speaker 2: States or continue the drug run. Sure, hope those drug
- 10:27Speaker 2: runners are okay, Yeah, well they yeah, they're not.
- 10:31Speaker 3: They're not.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Anyway, we're trying to get everybody's trying to get that video.
- 10:35Speaker 3: And the point the.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Kindagon is this morning. By the way, what's going.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Sounds like crap.
- 10:44Speaker 4: You're gonna have to type during the break, tighten the
- 10:46Speaker 4: string between the cans.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Uh. Yeah, there's something's going on with that connection. Good music,
- 11:00Speaker 2: Well play handle here, Good morning everybody. Monday morning, December eighth,
- 11:04Speaker 2: we continue more handle on the news, Amy Neil and me.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Who is what is the evil Empire? Apparently it's Europe.
- 11:16Speaker 5: The US government has published an annual national security strategy.
- 11:21Speaker 5: It's a thirty page document. This year paints European nations
- 11:25Speaker 5: as wayward declining powers that have ceded their sovereignty to
- 11:29Speaker 5: the European Union and are led by governments that suppress
- 11:33Speaker 5: democracy and muzzle voices that want a more nationalistic turn.
- 11:37Speaker 5: It also says that the whole of Europe faces civilizational
- 11:43Speaker 5: erasure through immigration that could render it unrecognizable in the
- 11:48Speaker 5: next two decades.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yeah. As crazy as this sounds, this is one of
- 11:52Speaker 2: those Trump administration moves, there really is another side to
- 11:58Speaker 2: this coin and I'm going to share this with you.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Not that it's not nuts, but it's not easy, it's complicated.
- 12:04Speaker 2: There's some moving pieces here. I'll do that at seven
- 12:07Speaker 2: o'clock coming up. But the bottom line is China and
- 12:12Speaker 2: Russia are our friends and Europe is our enemies.
- 12:17Speaker 5: Does the document say that or does it just highlight
- 12:19Speaker 5: the European Union.
- 12:21Speaker 2: It highlights the European Union as moving towards being our
- 12:24Speaker 2: enemy against us, and the only thing that's left doesn't
- 12:27Speaker 2: say anything negative about China Russia, So you have to
- 12:32Speaker 2: you have to extrapolate from that. But there is another
- 12:36Speaker 2: side of this because a lot of what Trump is saying,
- 12:39Speaker 2: He's absolutely right. What's going on in Europe now. The
- 12:42Speaker 2: only issue is do they remain allies or are they other?
- 12:47Speaker 2: Are they the other side of the line of our enemies,
- 12:49Speaker 2: and how far and how deep the enemy situation goes.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I'll talk more about that at seven o'clock. As I said,
- 12:56Speaker 2: it's not that simple, all right.
- 12:59Speaker 6: President Voladimir Zolenski, he's going to speaking of European leaders.
- 13:04Speaker 6: He's going to be meeting with key European leaders in
- 13:08Speaker 6: London today. They're basically looking, you know, talking with the allies.
- 13:13Speaker 6: They're planning their response to what our part has been
- 13:16Speaker 6: in the ongoing ongoing US push for Kiev to accept
- 13:22Speaker 6: concessions in peace talks. So big high level meeting follows
- 13:27Speaker 6: three days of talks in Florida where Zolenski's chief negotiator
- 13:31Speaker 6: push for changes to the White House plan, which is,
- 13:34Speaker 6: you know, let's face it is considered widely to accommodate
- 13:38Speaker 6: Central Kremlin fans.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It's the Russian plan.
- 13:42Speaker 2: It's basically what it is, straight out, this is what
- 13:45Speaker 2: Russia wants, and this is what the White House is
- 13:48Speaker 2: pushing for. And then you have the European leaders. And
- 13:51Speaker 2: that's part of what I'm going to talk about at
- 13:53Speaker 2: seven o'clock, that we have switched loyalties.
- 13:57Speaker 3: It looks like continueing.
- 14:00Speaker 5: On how much power does one man have? Apparently the
- 14:04Speaker 5: Supreme Court's going to weigh in on that. The Justices
- 14:09Speaker 5: will be taking a case being argued today that calls
- 14:12Speaker 5: for a unanimous ninety year old decision limiting executive authority
- 14:17Speaker 5: to be overturned. The case before the High Court involves
- 14:22Speaker 5: the Federal Trade Commission, and it's a ruling that dates
- 14:25Speaker 5: back to nineteen thirty five, when the Justices established that
- 14:29Speaker 5: presidents at the time it was Democratic President Franklin D.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Roosevelt could not fire the appointed leaders of the alphabet
- 14:38Speaker 5: soup of federal agencies. I guess that's the FDC without.
- 14:42Speaker 2: The cost see right, all the various EPA which are
- 14:45Speaker 2: created way does way later than that.
- 14:50Speaker 3: And does the president have the power to fire them?
- 14:53Speaker 5: And because he's been trying, Yeah, oh, I.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Know, he's trying to do everything. I mean, he's there's
- 14:58Speaker 2: no question he is pushing the bound. It's a presidential
- 15:00Speaker 2: power unlike any other president. And to his on his
- 15:05Speaker 2: side is a Supreme Court that is massively on his side.
- 15:10Speaker 4: But didn does predate him being in there?
- 15:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah, this is nineteen thirty five.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, no, no, no, but I mean this move has
- 15:17Speaker 4: been going on for a while to what not.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Really not real?
- 15:22Speaker 2: So the president can make a determination that the president
- 15:25Speaker 2: wants to make all determinations, that the president wants the
- 15:28Speaker 2: federal government to follow his dictates, and truly believes.
- 15:33Speaker 4: That this president does. I'm saying this predates Trump. So
- 15:36Speaker 4: I'm curious why would they?
- 15:38Speaker 2: No, not like this, nothing, nothing like this, nothing like this.
- 15:43Speaker 2: This is trying to get rid of birthright citizenship. Can
- 15:46Speaker 2: you imagine if Supreme Court gets the fact that Supreme
- 15:48Speaker 2: Court's even hearing that case is astound?
- 15:52Speaker 4: That's right.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Here's the point. How does the Supreme Court rule a constitution?
- 16:00Speaker 2: Does the president have the right to reinterpret the Constitution?
- 16:04Speaker 2: I think it all is predicated on jurisdiction thereof in
- 16:10Speaker 2: the fourteenth Amendment and just simply saying that native born
- 16:15Speaker 2: Americans aren't to be considered native born Americans if they
- 16:18Speaker 2: were born of people who are illegal. There is one
- 16:22Speaker 2: exception where native born Americans are not Americans, and that
- 16:25Speaker 2: is someone who is born of diplomatic parents.
- 16:28Speaker 3: They are not citizens of the United States, so it's.
- 16:33Speaker 2: You can go there if you want, if he wants,
- 16:35Speaker 2: and we'll of course talk about that big time.
- 16:40Speaker 6: All right, stop shining your radar at me. You got
- 16:45Speaker 6: Japan yesterday saying that Chinese fighter jets had aimed their
- 16:51Speaker 6: radar right at Japanese military aircraft into what they refer
- 16:56Speaker 6: to as dangerous incidents near Okinawa Islands, Japan's Okona Islands,
- 17:03Speaker 6: and Beijing is disputing this saying no, that's not but
- 17:07Speaker 6: Chinese navy spokesperson said that the Japanese aircraft had like
- 17:13Speaker 6: repeatedly approached and then disrupted what the Chinese were doing.
- 17:17Speaker 6: They had this, they had their navy out and there
- 17:19Speaker 6: were conducting these previously announced carrier based flight training stuff
- 17:24Speaker 6: going on, and they said, yeah, they kept shining their radar.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Is that an active aggression?
- 17:31Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's what they think.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Painting an aircraft with your aircraft, that's putting your radar
- 17:38Speaker 2: up and looking right at it is a precursor to
- 17:41Speaker 2: launching a missive.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah, launching a missile.
- 17:44Speaker 2: So the Chinese tartly, the Chinese deny, I mean they
- 17:48Speaker 2: deny everything, you know, So you know, I believe the
- 17:51Speaker 2: Japanese on this one, because I think the Chinese denied
- 17:55Speaker 2: doing it at all, and they go, oh and by
- 17:57Speaker 2: the way, they were in internation, they were in our
- 18:01Speaker 2: national waters over our sovereign, sovereign waters.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Going on, worse.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Spears could be realized on this one. The protective shield,
- 18:11Speaker 5: I didn't know there was one. There's a protective shield
- 18:14Speaker 5: around the Chernobyl nuclear disaster site in Ukraine, but it
- 18:18Speaker 5: can't do its job any longer of confining radioactive waste
- 18:23Speaker 5: because of a drone strike earlier this year. That's according
- 18:26Speaker 5: to the International Atomic Energy Agency. Ukraine says it was
- 18:31Speaker 5: Russia that carried out the strike at Chernobyl on February fourteenth.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Of course the Kremlin has denied that.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Yeah, who else is going to send the missiles?
- 18:39Speaker 2: Ukraine going to send the missile into a nuclear facility
- 18:42Speaker 2: that is leaking radiation like crazy, that blew up and melted.
- 18:47Speaker 3: By the way, France did build that huge dome.
- 18:52Speaker 2: If you ever look at a documentary doing that, they
- 18:55Speaker 2: built it and they rolled it over Chernobyl. The buildings is
- 18:58Speaker 2: really fascinating. Builllions of dollars spent on that.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Was it a lead or something.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a concrete metal. I don't know how if
- 19:08Speaker 2: there's lead in there, I have no idea. And if
- 19:11Speaker 2: it is, a superman can't come through and fly and rescue.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Yeah, all right.
- 19:15Speaker 6: Trump says he'll be involved in reviewing this Netflix Warner
- 19:19Speaker 6: Brothers deal. We've been hearing so much about proposed seventy
- 19:23Speaker 6: two billion dollar deal, and as you heard, there's some
- 19:27Speaker 6: more news that is coming out about that deal. There's
- 19:30Speaker 6: still a lot of back and forth. When we thought
- 19:33Speaker 6: it was kind of.
- 19:36Speaker 5: Accepted, right, but now Paramount has jumped in Paramount sky Dance.
- 19:40Speaker 5: They say they're making a hostile bid for Warner Brothers
- 19:44Speaker 5: and we'll go directly to the shareholders and offer thirty
- 19:47Speaker 5: dollars per share cash, which you can do.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Hostile bid is happening all the time.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Also, there's FTC involvement because the size of the market. Now,
- 19:56Speaker 2: keep in mind, they're paying eighty two billion in cash.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Seventy two billion, I think ten billion dollars are sucking
- 20:05Speaker 2: up in credit.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Number one.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Does Netflix really have eighty two billion dollars in cash? Well,
- 20:14Speaker 2: they have lots of cash, but I think they're going
- 20:15Speaker 2: to go out to lenders and they're going to try
- 20:18Speaker 2: to get big money for people to invest or. Major
- 20:22Speaker 2: institution is to invest in cash.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Not much is bill.
- 20:26Speaker 4: How is this not a monopoly?
- 20:28Speaker 3: It's not because there are other providers. Yeah, but there's who,
- 20:31Speaker 3: there's who.
- 20:32Speaker 4: There's pointconk But at what point you consume so much?
- 20:36Speaker 2: That's exactly what the FTC has to decide.
- 20:39Speaker 3: That's exactly the issue here.
- 20:42Speaker 2: And once it reaches critical mask, the government comes in
- 20:45Speaker 2: and says, no, you're not going to do it happens
- 20:47Speaker 2: all the time where the government says no, thank you.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Now, usually when you have conservative.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Conservative administrations in they're more their lacks about stopping these
- 21:03Speaker 2: major acquisitions. But still, I mean, you may be right,
- 21:06Speaker 2: this is so enormous. Who the hell knows which way
- 21:09Speaker 2: it's going to go?
- 21:10Speaker 5: All right, No more free lunch unless it's President Trump's birthday.
- 21:15Speaker 5: The National Park Service is offering free admission to national
- 21:20Speaker 5: parks on President Trump's birthday next year, which also happens
- 21:25Speaker 5: to be Flag Day, but it is eliminating free admission
- 21:29Speaker 5: to the parks on Martin Luther King Junior Day and
- 21:33Speaker 5: on June teenth, which is June.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Nineteenth, which is celebrating of the last group of slaves
- 21:42Speaker 2: that were freed, or we're told that we're freed.
- 21:45Speaker 3: So here is the question.
- 21:47Speaker 2: All right, I know that there is a new contest
- 21:51Speaker 2: that the federal government is now promoting, and that is
- 21:54Speaker 2: which face on Mount Rushmore will be eliminated to put
- 21:58Speaker 2: Trump's face on? Which way? Which way do you think
- 22:01Speaker 2: they're going to go? I say, Teddy Roosevelt?
- 22:08Speaker 6: How long before Christmas is no longer a national holiday?
- 22:13Speaker 4: But Trump's birthday is?
- 22:15Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, this is just fun. By the way, this
- 22:19Speaker 3: is just fun stuff.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Well, it is on Flag Day, it is.
- 22:23Speaker 3: That's true. It is on Flag Day. So how do
- 22:25Speaker 3: you interpret it?
- 22:26Speaker 2: And and I get that, all right, how do you
- 22:29Speaker 2: defend Juneteenth and Martin.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Luther King Day, which is a national holiday. That's a
- 22:37Speaker 3: tough one, all right.
- 22:40Speaker 6: Anyo, the dogs on skid Row, Let's focus on something positive.
- 22:45Speaker 6: So you've got La the city cracking down on criminal
- 22:49Speaker 6: activity in skid Row. That's good, but it's not what
- 22:55Speaker 6: you think. It's criminal activity dealing with animals.
- 23:01Speaker 4: Dogs. So there's this new pilot program.
- 23:05Speaker 6: That is looking into getting officers about sixty officers from
- 23:11Speaker 6: Central Division as a matter of fact, that have been
- 23:13Speaker 6: trained with enhanced investigations about animal welfare and animal cruelty.
- 23:18Speaker 6: You know, there's some people that are there for whatever reasons,
- 23:21Speaker 6: but the animal.
- 23:22Speaker 2: And they don't treat their dogs very well. You know,
- 23:25Speaker 2: it's they just don't treat their dogs well. And animal
- 23:28Speaker 2: cruelty is coming in as a clime, which it is,
- 23:31Speaker 2: and I think people tend to ignore what happens on
- 23:34Speaker 2: skid row. A lot of people don't go into the
- 23:36Speaker 2: shelters because I don't think the shelters take animals, so
- 23:39Speaker 2: people stay on the streets. And it's rough being it's
- 23:43Speaker 2: rough being poor, it's rough being on skid row.
- 23:46Speaker 3: It's rough being a dog on skin on skid row.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Well, we had a leak at the Loof, as if
- 23:54Speaker 5: that huge heist wasn't enough, A water leak damaged several
- 23:59Speaker 5: hundred works in Lou's Egyptian department. I just went and
- 24:02Speaker 5: saw those in the museum in Paris. Between three and
- 24:07Speaker 5: four hundred works were affected by the league, which was
- 24:10Speaker 5: discovered back in late November. They were egyptologies, Egyptology journals,
- 24:17Speaker 5: and scientific documentations. So they're saying it wasn't the major stuff,
- 24:21Speaker 5: but it was still important.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I mean still you know you just love's having all
- 24:25Speaker 2: kinds of problems, mainly because it's French.
- 24:30Speaker 6: All right, Fernando of Venezuela. This is beyond me and
- 24:34Speaker 6: I'm not even a big sports fan. But he was
- 24:38Speaker 6: denied again induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
- 24:44Speaker 6: This comes fourteen months after his passing in October of
- 24:50Speaker 6: twenty twenty four. But just I mean, I mean, it's
- 24:55Speaker 6: almost thirty years out as it is at the end
- 24:58Speaker 6: of his pitching career.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Mere pitcher.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's hard to have I guess sixteen people
- 25:03Speaker 4: on this group of Contemporary Baseball Era committee. Uh but
- 25:09Speaker 4: and it comes up every three years or whatever.
- 25:13Speaker 5: But because he didn't get the five votes this time,
- 25:15Speaker 5: he can't even be on the ballot next time.
- 25:17Speaker 3: You need at least five. Yeah, and he couldn't get it.
- 25:20Speaker 3: He couldn't get it. So he did Mexico twenty thirty one.
- 25:25Speaker 3: I saw the first game he pitched that. I actually
- 25:28Speaker 3: was there when he debuted as a Dodger.
- 25:34Speaker 4: When you asked him to park your car or something.
- 25:37Speaker 3: I did not.
- 25:38Speaker 2: He didn't speak a word of English. I'm assuming he lived.
- 25:41Speaker 2: It was in the States for a bunch of years,
- 25:43Speaker 2: did he retire to Mexico.
- 25:46Speaker 3: I mean, he was from Mexico. I'm just curious if.
- 25:49Speaker 5: He moved out here, because remember, he was he was broadcasting.
- 25:52Speaker 2: The No, he was, he was broadcasting the game, yeh
- 25:55Speaker 2: with yeah he was for years and years he was
- 25:57Speaker 2: broadcasting game and on the Spanish version of the version
- 25:59Speaker 2: of the Dodgers broadcast. But I'm just curious to see
- 26:03Speaker 2: if he moved down to Mexico where maybe he was
- 26:06Speaker 2: bicoastal as they say, all right, guys, we are done.
