There are many signs that we’re progressing into the second phase of fall fishing and the most obvious is that the blackfishing has started fired up the afterburners. We’ve seen some really nice fish landed across the region, especially in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Striper fishing is evolving as well, with isolated pockets of great fishing (Canal, Aquidneck Island, Connecticut River) broken up with areas of slower action; the storm currently churning offshore should get some of these fish moving.
