  Speaker 2: It's not a quarterback draft outside of Mendoza, so you

  Speaker 2: don't have a ton of blue chippers, you know, in

  Speaker 2: a draft like this. But I think this is one

  Speaker 2: of those like real draft nerds kind of drafts because

  Speaker 2: it goes deep at several positions and I think you're

  Speaker 2: gonna see starters come out of the third, fourth, maybe

  Speaker 2: even into the fifth round at certain positions just to

  Speaker 2: add a depth, you know, type positions on the defense,

  Speaker 2: especially like Mike mentioned, edge, linebacker, safety, corner, tight end,

  Speaker 2: wide reliever. Yeah, they're they're just depth really into probably

  Speaker 2: early day three. I'm not saying that they're gonna be

  Speaker 2: like game changers, but you know there's gonna be guys

  Speaker 2: that get to that point in those positions specifically that

  Speaker 2: I think are gonna be you know, interior offensive line,

  Speaker 2: great center, and guard draft this year. You know, so

  Speaker 2: like that that's distraints now, is that the sex seed

  Speaker 2: There's six blue Chippers up at the top and everybody's

  Speaker 2: probably more depth in the draft than I gave it

  Speaker 2: not great. You know, those positions are a little bit weaker.

  Speaker 2: the top end talent, the blue chip type talent, but

  Speaker 2: I think that there's a lot of depth at certain

  Speaker 2: positions that the good evaluators are going to find starters,

  Speaker 2: you know, in the fourth round in a draft like this.

  Speaker 5: Yeah, that's also some players that are good atop the

  Speaker 5: draft aren't really the premium positions too.

  Speaker 1: I think that's what hurts it. But another year where.

  Speaker 5: Guys just test out of the roof, I mean it's

  Speaker 5: just amazing.

  Speaker 2: The Yeah, we can talk about that. I mean there's

  Speaker 2: some survivor bias there, Like there's only about a thirty

  Speaker 2: seven percent and participation rate. So all these players, all

  Speaker 2: these kids are getting you know, advised, like if you're
• 5:07
  Speaker 2: going to test poorly, then just don't test right and
• 5:09
  Speaker 2: and just kind of say, hey watch my tape.

  Speaker 3: You know. So well, they do get tested at the

  Speaker 3: private one on once, right they are.

  Speaker 2: Pro days, but like yeah they do, but those are

  Speaker 2: all hand times and it's just different.

  Speaker 3: Well even be on the pro day if the you know,

  Speaker 3: every team has allowed a certain amount of players to

  Speaker 3: come to their facility, do they put them on a

  Speaker 3: vertical No, No, they don't do that.

  Speaker 2: No, they'll measure them and they'll weigh them, but not

  Speaker 2: you know, the combine type stuff happens either at the

  Speaker 2: combine or the prode drill or no. No, they will
• 5:46
  Speaker 2: do private workouts or they'll put them through football stuff,
• 5:49
  Speaker 2: you know, like Rabele going down to LSU last year

  Speaker 2: and working out Will Campbell, but forty times and things
• 5:55
  Speaker 2: like that is this time of year and uh, you know,
• 5:58
  Speaker 2: the participation rate is really at the combine.

  Speaker 8: The even teams sending people is starting.

  Speaker 6: To Yeah, I got I hurt back. Like a lot

  Speaker 6: of teams are just skipping the combine.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's not a ton, but you know,

  Speaker 2: half a dozen maybe this year, and so you're just

  Speaker 2: getting to the point now where the only guys that
• 6:19
  Speaker 2: are testing are the guys that are going to run well.

  Speaker 2: And if you're not going to run well, then you
• 6:24
  Speaker 2: don't test. So you know you have that sort of
• 6:26
  Speaker 2: thing going on.

  Speaker 3: The averages are going up, correct, Yeah, yeah.

  Speaker 6: All right, Well what does that mean for the future
• 6:33
  Speaker 6: of the combine? If thirty seven.

  Speaker 3: Only participating, that number is probably going to go down.

  Speaker 3: And you know, I don't know what the percentage is,

  Speaker 3: but there's a handful of teams not even with a presence.

  Speaker 2: What does that mean for the event? Yeah, it's a
• 6:49
  Speaker 2: that's sort of another question I think, just you know,

  Speaker 2: in terms of big picture coming out of Indy that
• 6:55
  Speaker 2: that's on my mind is just.

  Speaker 8: You know, what's the future look like at the combine?

  Speaker 8: Is it reimagined?

  Speaker 2: Is there a way to incentivize the players to actually test,

  Speaker 2: you know what, what can they do to make that happen?

  Speaker 2: Because as of right now, they're at, like I said,

  Speaker 2: a thirty seven percent participation rate. But that's not even
• 7:13
  Speaker 2: them participating in all the drills, right that, Like the agilities,
• 7:18
  Speaker 2: like nobody does the agilities anymore, Like you don't the
• 7:21
  Speaker 2: I think one running back ran a three code. One
• 7:25
  Speaker 2: running back out of the entire class ran a three code.

  Speaker 2: And it's like if you look at the predictive stuff,

  Speaker 2: but the agilities in a lot of positions, you know,
• 7:35
  Speaker 2: edge rusher, you know, places like that. That's maybe the
• 7:38
  Speaker 2: most important drill out of all of them is how
• 7:40
  Speaker 2: they change directions and how quick they are, you know,
• 7:43
  Speaker 2: in terms of sinking their hips and you know that
• 7:45
  Speaker 2: sort of thing. And these players it's at the very
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: end of the workout they opt out, they don't do it.

  Speaker 2: So you know, there's even drills within the drills that
• 7:54
  Speaker 2: are that players are cutting. So we're seeing all these
• 7:57
  Speaker 2: like athleticism testing numbers and all these score and stuff

  Speaker 2: like that. And it's like just the forty and the
• 8:02
  Speaker 2: jumps and there's no agility. Well, it's it's great to
• 8:05
  Speaker 2: know that that guy's explosive, but like can he move?

  Speaker 2: Like can he cut? Can he you know? Can he

  Speaker 2: change directions? We you know, based off the combine numbers

  Speaker 2: little bit of you know, it's not a great receiver class,

  Speaker 2: but uh, there's there's a lot of good receivers I

  Speaker 2: think in this class. Now the question is, you know

  Speaker 2: who among those kind of Day two group has a

  Speaker 2: ceiling to them that is going to actually move.

  Speaker 8: The needle for a team like the Patriots.

  Speaker 2: Like I think that there's probably a lot of guys

  Speaker 2: that are going to be NFL receivers out of this class.

  Speaker 5: in different packages. They can be uncoverable guys who can

  Speaker 5: line up anywhere, or they can be big outside receivers

  Speaker 5: that you're hoping can can break some runs and you know,

  Speaker 5: not just be big body downfield contest to catch guys.

  Speaker 5: So I think that's what I'm trying to sort out

  Speaker 5: right now, is like to Evan's point, who not only

  Speaker 5: who has that potential maybe on day two three.

  Speaker 3: So when do the pro days start in the private visits?

  Speaker 2: skill sets, you know. I keep gravitating towards the you know,

  Speaker 2: bigger frames, you know, the guys on the outside that

  Speaker 2: you know, six three six' four type of receivers BECAUSE

  Speaker 2: i just look at How drake maythru to guys Like
• 14:23
  Speaker 2: Mac collins last, year And i'm, LIKE i just kind
• 14:25
  Speaker 2: of feel like you could get like a more, explosive
• 14:28
  Speaker 2: younger version Of Mac. Collins like that sort of feels
• 14:31
  Speaker 2: like the right type of, receiver especially if you're gonna
• 14:34
  Speaker 2: Bring digs back and have him be sort of the inside.

  Speaker 2: Guy you, know it really gets somebody on the outside
• 14:40
  Speaker 2: that can take the top off the defense and that

  Speaker 2: has a catch radius and has some size to. Him

  Speaker 2: that's Why i've gravitated Towards brasel so, much is because
