- 0:01Speaker 1: The Blaze in Confused. Podcast is rated M for marijuana
- 0:04Speaker 1: no minors, but your audience is only I keep getting nest.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Is it Joel or Joel? Does he look like at Joel?
- 0:11Speaker 1: Do you.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Get asked that way? Too white to be at Joel.
- 0:15Speaker 2: It's just the whitest guy I've ever met my life.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Look at him. I was Joel as of recently when
- 0:19Speaker 1: I DJ'ed on Cinco de Mayo for five hours. That
- 0:22Speaker 1: makes sense. Can you believe that the whitest person you've
- 0:25Speaker 1: ever met DJ'd with mostly Spanish music for five hours? Yeah?
- 0:30Speaker 1: And you pulled it off. You pulled it off. I
- 0:31Speaker 1: pulled it off. I prepped my ass off for it, though.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I was very nervous, so I made sure I.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Was prepared something to look into all right down the road,
- 0:38Speaker 2: maybe later tonight after the episode. But I saw your
- 0:42Speaker 2: promotional video or whatever you did online for that right,
- 0:45Speaker 2: and I was like.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I think that song is not Mexican, though, and I
- 0:49Speaker 1: looked it up. It's not. It's not Mexican. What song
- 0:51Speaker 1: was it? I forget what you're putting your promo, but
- 0:54Speaker 1: it was like a you know, I think it was
- 0:56Speaker 1: a remix of maybe Cubans, it doesn't matter. Spanishish is
- 1:03Speaker 1: a Mexican. Oh you know what, It's funny. I had
- 1:06Speaker 1: a thing, super white, a co worker, a woman that
- 1:10Speaker 1: we both know, came in uh that day, the day
- 1:14Speaker 1: of shincott to Mia, and she goes, well, you know
- 1:16Speaker 1: you can't play bad bunny, right because she's Puerto Rican.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And it's like, well, wait a second. Puerto Rican people
- 1:21Speaker 1: don't celebrate shinko tomyo. I don't think that's how it works.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Well, I'm sure they do, also, I don't know do they.
- 1:28Speaker 2: American Americans celebrate everything. We take credit for everything, you know,
- 1:32Speaker 2: we make it a party.
- 1:33Speaker 3: We're the we're the last people to try to figure
- 1:36Speaker 3: this out amongst ourselves ourselves.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Wait wait, wait, so Shinco to Mayo is only for
- 1:41Speaker 1: Mexican only for me?
- 1:43Speaker 2: Well, it's a Mexican holiday. Yeah, really quick, it's not
- 1:45Speaker 2: a Puerto Rican holiday.
- 1:48Speaker 3: No, it's like do Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving?
- 1:52Speaker 1: American thing? No, it's an American day.
- 1:57Speaker 2: That's a different country of box anyway. Can you look
- 2:02Speaker 2: that up really quick?
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:03Speaker 2: What is sinco te mayo? Tell us let's all learned
- 2:07Speaker 2: to get Definitely a Mexican holiday one percent. I know
- 2:10Speaker 2: that not Puerto Rican. Definitely not Puerto Rican. Joel Well,
- 2:15Speaker 2: I kind of remember learning this in school now.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Cinco de Mayo an annual holiday that commemorates the Mexican
- 2:21Speaker 1: Army's unexpected victory over the French Empire in the Battle
- 2:25Speaker 1: of Puplea. Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 3: A lot of people think it's the Mexican Independence Day
- 2:33Speaker 3: and it's not.
- 2:34Speaker 2: It just celebrates a victory. Okay, yeah, so it's Mexican
- 2:38Speaker 2: Victory Day.
- 2:39Speaker 1: This you don't know about this. It's a year or
- 2:41Speaker 1: you were born eighteen sixty two. Shut up, you're a dick.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I just I just want to know if Bad Bunny
- 2:50Speaker 1: was acceptable for Cinco Tomyo. I say yes, I say
- 2:53Speaker 1: Yesira Shakira is a Colombian. I think Shakira is more
- 2:57Speaker 1: than acceptable on Cinco to Mayo. You know why because
- 3:00Speaker 1: those hipstone live baby. Ever, they don't God old baby.
- 3:04Speaker 1: When you talk like that, you make a woman go man.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I don't think those are the words.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Are those awards if you're drinking and dancing and celebrating,
- 3:15Speaker 3: I don't.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I think the line gets blurred. I think it's all right. Yeah,
- 3:18Speaker 1: I think it's a holiday for everyone. Yeah, of course
- 3:21Speaker 1: he took it upon himself to look up the song
- 3:23Speaker 1: that I was playing in the promo only because of
- 3:26Speaker 1: the song is in a movie called Chef with John Favre.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Never saw.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Oh really, it's very good, you should watch it. But anyway,
- 3:34Speaker 2: they they have this song playing and it's all Cuban themed, like.
- 3:37Speaker 1: The food and stuff. So I just know that because
- 3:38Speaker 1: of that, and it was I don't know if it
- 3:40Speaker 1: was that particular song, but it was, well that's what
- 3:43Speaker 1: I put on the promo thing. Then yeah, that's what
- 3:44Speaker 1: it was, and that's Cuban. Look it up by Santana's Cuban?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Is the original song Carlos Santana's Cuban? I don't know,
- 3:53Speaker 1: let's look it up. Is Carlos Santana Cuban? Learn a
- 3:59Speaker 1: lot on this podcast. It's very educational. No, Carlos Santana
- 4:03Speaker 1: is not Cuban. He is Mexican American. Okay. But that song, though,
- 4:07Speaker 1: is Obova Cuban question mark No, is not strictly a
- 4:15Speaker 1: Cuban song that was deeply rooted in Cuban musical traditions. Yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 1: because the rhythm is a chat cha cha look at
- 4:24Speaker 1: you judge of me just because the rhythms are chat
- 4:26Speaker 1: chat chayah. Santana is Mexican, So you're good. I'm gonna
- 4:30Speaker 1: call you out on your ship. That's all You're sitting there.
- 4:32Speaker 1: He's like, hang on a second, this song is a
- 4:34Speaker 1: chat chat cha this.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Songa anyway, it was just because it was in that movie.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Hey, Blake Dannon's back by the way, Yeah, Blake Danni
- 4:46Speaker 1: joining us again. I love you guys.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Well, just a little context, because I'm not gonna assume
- 4:51Speaker 3: that anybody watched or watched that anybody listened to the
- 4:55Speaker 3: last podcast I was on, or I'm not gonna assume
- 4:58Speaker 3: that anyone listens to your your dumb podcast at all.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I do the same thing, Yeah, same. I met somebody
- 5:05Speaker 1: yesterday that came up to me, Bernie, Hello Bernie, and
- 5:08Speaker 1: Bernie says, I love the podcast, and I think my
- 5:11Speaker 1: response was something along the lines of, oh my god,
- 5:13Speaker 1: you listen to that?
- 5:16Speaker 3: So I am, you know, a friend of you, guys,
- 5:18Speaker 3: but not just some random dude to just stop him
- 5:21Speaker 3: by to you guys, must have had a cancelation because
- 5:23Speaker 3: you're having me back.
- 5:25Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, this was planned. I had
- 5:28Speaker 2: desperation move see what happened. Here's the thing is that
- 5:32Speaker 2: we've had a couple of repeats, and those people are
- 5:35Speaker 2: stand ins, you know, not a stand in. Tyler Rothrock
- 5:38Speaker 2: is a stand in. He's a he's available to us all.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He's just a media and that's great, funny.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Ye.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah, he can be on any time filler. Yeah, yeah,
- 5:45Speaker 1: but no, we we are just kind of exactly, we're
- 5:49Speaker 1: circling back through our list and and bringing back Yeah, right,
- 5:53Speaker 1: I think it's fun. Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 3: So I was uh uh in radio in the Allentown
- 5:59Speaker 3: market for like thirteen years on the two rock stations
- 6:02Speaker 3: in town.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Not at the same time. No, that wouldn't be allowed
- 6:05Speaker 2: to know. Yeah, uh but uh uh worked with you Becker. Yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 2: never worked with you, Joel, thank god. Now wait no, no, no, no,
- 6:14Speaker 2: I would have been in diaper. It's probably no offense.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It takes a strong person to still be friends with
- 6:19Speaker 1: him after him being employed with them. The fuck up.
- 6:23Speaker 1: He was such a whiny bitch, you know what, Yeah,
- 6:27Speaker 1: because you have a coffee machine in the office. Please,
- 6:31Speaker 1: But it wasn't even like that. And he's like, this
- 6:32Speaker 1: is going here again. He keeps bringing up the story
- 6:35Speaker 1: about the coffee machine that I brought a coffee machine
- 6:38Speaker 1: to work and insisted that it went in the office
- 6:40Speaker 1: that we shared. Okay, that's a shared space. I don't
- 6:44Speaker 1: drink coffee. Doesn't drink mind you. Here's the one thing
- 6:47Speaker 1: that I did notice and I did remember about this.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Then all of a sudden, everybody in the office was like, oh,
- 6:52Speaker 1: there's a carrig back here. I'm going to use this.
- 6:53Speaker 1: And then all day long, random people, all day long, was.
- 6:58Speaker 2: This over at the hall on the mountain, the at
- 7:01Speaker 2: the top there, the same room we shared. Yeah, oh
- 7:03Speaker 2: that's awesome. Yeah, okay, where your desk was? That's virgil
- 7:07Speaker 2: and oh cool.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You know what, And another thing I want to point
- 7:09Speaker 1: out about that, well, yeah, these motherfuckers didn't even want
- 7:13Speaker 1: to give me a desk. I had to share a desk.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So you know what, if I'm gonna share a desk,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna bring my own damn coffee maker. That's what
- 7:18Speaker 1: I'm telling Fine, Yeah, yeah, that's great, it's fair, right, Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 1: they should be thanking me because I brought the coffee
- 7:23Speaker 1: maker for everybody who use the ridiculous ship you and
- 7:27Speaker 1: I got into in that that radio station over the years. Now,
- 7:30Speaker 1: you guys work together again, Yeah, not really together? Is
- 7:34Speaker 1: this work? But well? Yeah, this is work? Yeah again
- 7:38Speaker 1: being his friend is work? Good? No, all friendships at
- 7:42Speaker 1: work as they say they are. Yeah. No, I'm happy
- 7:45Speaker 1: we do this show. It's a lot of fun. It's
- 7:47Speaker 1: a nice creative outlet for me. Yeah, you feel creative?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Not really. It shouldn't start the show. Do you think
- 7:54Speaker 1: I kept, like, you know, looking over to you, thinking, geez,
- 7:56Speaker 1: when are you gonna start this thing? Are you gonna play?
- 7:58Speaker 4: Oh?
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah, come ova the opener. Well it's not Cuban, I'll
- 8:02Speaker 1: tell you that though.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Blazed and Confused podcast with Becker and Joel the trivia
- 8:08Speaker 4: podcast where truth, theory and THC glide. Let's spark your curiosity.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And light up some knowledge.
- 8:18Speaker 4: They Blazed and Confused Podcast with Becker and Joel starts now.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Now, So there's structure to this. We're not just hanging
- 8:26Speaker 3: out and bullshitting. There is structure. It's been a while
- 8:29Speaker 3: since you've been on. Yeah, you were one of the
- 8:31Speaker 3: you were one of the very first guests. Wasn't he
- 8:33Speaker 3: like like four or five or something? Do you remember
- 8:35Speaker 3: your episode number?
- 8:36Speaker 1: No?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Something you should always have ready. Okay, I want to
- 8:39Speaker 2: tell a lot of people about Sorry, it's an episode
- 8:43Speaker 2: whatever of this great podcast. Sorry guys, now, that's fine,
- 8:46Speaker 2: but it was early on, but things have changed here. Yes,
- 8:50Speaker 2: he was probably like episode.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Ten.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say he's probably in the first time.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Yeah, there is you know, there was production and there
- 8:58Speaker 3: was things we did. Yeah, but now we have actual
- 9:01Speaker 3: like features and stuff. Yeah, we're gonna do some random thoughts,
- 9:03Speaker 3: which is just shit. I think about one. I'm stone
- 9:05Speaker 3: during the week, things that piss us off. And then
- 9:09Speaker 3: we get into trivia, and then we have the Munchi minute,
- 9:11Speaker 3: which you probably were a part of last time. I
- 9:13Speaker 3: remember that, and I'm gonna want you guys input about that.
- 9:16Speaker 3: By the way, we have something crunchy or I have
- 9:18Speaker 3: like a snack cake type thing. So we got to
- 9:19Speaker 3: figure out what we want to eat later. Decisions get
- 9:23Speaker 3: so hungry because I'm bringing up the food already.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Yeah, Becker.
- 9:26Speaker 2: By the way, that's my good friend Joel Blake. Dannon's
- 9:28Speaker 2: on the podcast. Okay, thanks for being here, man. Yeah,
- 9:31Speaker 2: you guys doing what's going on?
- 9:33Speaker 3: I don't know, man? This ninety eight degrees today. Yeah,
- 9:38Speaker 3: well so we're in uh, I mean, this is on
- 9:40Speaker 3: iHeart right, so people listening all over the place. Eastern Pennsylvania,
- 9:45Speaker 3: mid May, and my car peaked at one oh one today.
- 9:51Speaker 1: It was a little hot. I will say though, yesterday
- 9:53Speaker 1: I drove the Jeep with the top down and I
- 9:55Speaker 1: did think to myself, Wow, there's nothing better than this
- 9:58Speaker 1: feeling right now. Makes it all worth it, It makes
- 10:01Speaker 1: it all worth it. Why are you laughing? No, it's
- 10:04Speaker 1: sponsored by Jeep. No, it's very much so not sponsored
- 10:07Speaker 1: by Jeep. But it could be Jeep. If you like that,
- 10:09Speaker 1: mister Jeep, we would love If you're looking for a Jeep,
- 10:11Speaker 1: go to Jeep dot com. Yeah, sure, got to look
- 10:14Speaker 1: at that. Joel loves his Jeep. I talk about it
- 10:17Speaker 1: all the time. I do love my Jeep. Yeah. I
- 10:18Speaker 1: think that I'm going to be one of those that
- 10:20Speaker 1: drives a Jeep for the rest of my life. Is
- 10:21Speaker 1: that bad? I think it might be bad for Joel.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It's always Jeep season, all right, Get off the commercials.
- 10:29Speaker 1: You're laughing. I'm being serioush No, I know you love
- 10:31Speaker 1: your Jeep.
- 10:32Speaker 4: I do.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It's funny because he's got this Jeep and he asked him, like,
- 10:36Speaker 2: you got off roading or anything in this thing. He's like, no,
- 10:41Speaker 2: not using the vehicle for what it's for.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I did go off roading in the other jeep I had,
- 10:45Speaker 1: and this is my second range. Would you go into
- 10:47Speaker 1: some grass or something by accident? No, wise guy. I
- 10:51Speaker 1: went to the deserted town in Pennsylvania, Centrailia. Oh cool,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you go there. Yeah, it's weird. It's very weird, but
- 10:57Speaker 1: very cool. There's like one house left or yeah, there's
- 11:00Speaker 1: a handful of houses left, and there's still like the
- 11:03Speaker 1: fire department town hall. Thing. Very strange. But I did
- 11:07Speaker 1: take the jeep up there twice. Here's the problem about
- 11:09Speaker 1: off roading and the jeep that I discovered very quickly.
- 11:12Speaker 1: You need off roading tires. What a scam that is?
- 11:16Speaker 1: I have the all season tires. Well, it's not like
- 11:19Speaker 1: I went in a new season that wouldn't be included
- 11:21Speaker 1: in the all season tires. Yeah. So I thought I
- 11:24Speaker 1: was good to go. But I the first time, I
- 11:26Speaker 1: was okay, it was a little rough. The second time
- 11:28Speaker 1: I got stuck. Not only did I get stuck, but
- 11:30Speaker 1: I got stuck for like a long time. Wow, Like
- 11:33Speaker 1: the jeep was stuck there for like upwards of an hour,
- 11:36Speaker 1: i'd say. And I went with my neighbor in my
- 11:39Speaker 1: apartment building, the old apartment building at the time, there
- 11:41Speaker 1: was actually there was two of us from the apartment building.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, take some joints, we'll go up
- 11:46Speaker 1: to Centralia, you know, off road the jeep with my
- 11:49Speaker 1: all season road tires. It didn't work, and then I
- 11:52Speaker 1: got stuck in the mud and it came to the
- 11:54Speaker 1: point where I really thought that I was gonna have
- 11:56Speaker 1: to like call for help. Yeah wow, Which how does
- 11:59Speaker 1: that work? If you're like in a deserted town in
- 12:02Speaker 1: the middle of nowhere and you got a call for help,
- 12:05Speaker 1: do you get like arrested them? To a horror movie?
- 12:08Speaker 1: Right there?
- 12:08Speaker 4: You know?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Was the I think there is Centralia? We don't go there? Well,
- 12:12Speaker 1: I think there is. Isn't there a movie about Centralia
- 12:15Speaker 1: that's a horror movie? Probably probably go oh yeah, yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 1: there is, and it's pretty popular too. I can't think
- 12:22Speaker 1: of the name of it. Oh, I want to see it.
- 12:23Speaker 1: If you know the name Silent Hill? Is that? Oh? Yeah,
- 12:25Speaker 1: so I don't know that was there?
- 12:28Speaker 3: I saw that about that. I've always wanted to go
- 12:29Speaker 3: to Centralia. It's been on my bucket list. And ah, Joel,
- 12:32Speaker 3: take you never went never.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I love it. I think it's very cool. I watched
- 12:35Speaker 1: like videos of this ship for years and years and
- 12:37Speaker 1: years online on YouTube, and I was always after my
- 12:39Speaker 1: parents would take me there when I was a kid,
- 12:41Speaker 1: and they never did, so there was always a breezon
- 12:44Speaker 1: to go. Yeah, and I still feel like, I don't know,
- 12:46Speaker 1: it's deep, it's cool.
- 12:47Speaker 3: They paved over the famous graffiti road though, right, it's
- 12:52Speaker 3: just like I haven't been up there in quite some
- 12:53Speaker 3: time and they got rid of that. That was the
- 12:54Speaker 3: first time I'd ever been up there. I was going
- 12:56Speaker 3: to Canobles for like the first time.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. It's right by cables.
- 13:00Speaker 2: So if you're looking for some family fun, stop by
- 13:02Speaker 2: Centralia on your way to can There's any hotel there
- 13:07Speaker 2: by the way, so you can't stay the.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Movie by the way, Yes, indeed it is called Silent Hill, Okay,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I saw that. Yeah, for all the out of town
- 13:16Speaker 1: or is, go to Centralia. It's great. I think the
- 13:18Speaker 1: reason why Centralia became a deserted town is like they
- 13:21Speaker 1: started burning their their their garbage underground and it sparked
- 13:26Speaker 1: up some old like coal mine and then all of
- 13:28Speaker 1: a sudden there's like toxic fumes burning below ground, and
- 13:32Speaker 1: the ground started like caving in in parts of the town.
- 13:34Speaker 1: And to this day there's still like smoke that rises
- 13:37Speaker 1: from the ground. So I guess like it's really not
- 13:40Speaker 1: safe to be at either for long periods. So that's
- 13:45Speaker 1: another reason why I'm like, man, what would happen if
- 13:47Speaker 1: I would have had to call for help? Like what
- 13:49Speaker 1: did they come to get? Like? Did they still alone? Yeah?
- 13:56Speaker 1: Good luck kid? No, speaking of ship, you still have
- 13:59Speaker 1: bird shit on your window? I know I thought about that.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I saw somebody yesterday. They're like, oh, they listened to
- 14:04Speaker 2: podcast and they were like, oh, does he still have
- 14:06Speaker 2: that bird shit on his window? I'm like probably, And yeah,
- 14:08Speaker 2: here we are again speaking of a bird shit and
- 14:11Speaker 2: washing and things I should have done. I spent all
- 14:14Speaker 2: afternoon yesterday Sunday pressure washing this back patio.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I've never messed with a pressure washer ever, but I
- 14:21Speaker 1: used to think, looking at other people pressure washing, that
- 14:23Speaker 1: looks satisfying, That looks like fun. I can get down
- 14:25Speaker 1: with that, Like that looks like the choy. That looks
- 14:27Speaker 1: like it's not fun. No, it is not fun. I
- 14:30Speaker 1: thought it was fun for five freaking minutes, and then
- 14:32Speaker 1: the rest of the time I thought, this is awful.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I'm miserable. I want to go inside it. Well, first off, like,
- 14:37Speaker 1: so I got a I have like a used somebody
- 14:40Speaker 1: gave me a used electric pressure washer. So it's not
- 14:44Speaker 1: even like a pressure washer that has set on balls,
- 14:47Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's not like a real
- 14:48Speaker 1: gas one. I feel like, first off, like I need
- 14:50Speaker 1: to get a real gas one second off, the handle
- 14:52Speaker 1: of this thing leaks like a motherfucker. So I mean,
- 14:56Speaker 1: it's a good thing that I picked the hottest day
- 14:57Speaker 1: of the year thus far to do it, because it
- 14:59Speaker 1: was like a billion degrees out and it didn't feel awful.
- 15:01Speaker 1: But the next thing, you know, I'm like drenched. I'm
- 15:03Speaker 1: like there's mud everywhere, and uh, I had to spend
- 15:06Speaker 1: like five ten minutes on every brick out here. It's
- 15:09Speaker 1: a brick patio. I got not even halfway done, and
- 15:12Speaker 1: it still looks like shit out there. And you have
- 15:14Speaker 1: a moss issue, rights, Yeah you get, you get a
- 15:17Speaker 1: good one. It's going to be satisfying. You think, is
- 15:20Speaker 1: it just because it was a shitty used one? I
- 15:22Speaker 1: think I don't know. I really don't know. I don't know.
- 15:25Speaker 2: You do you know much about moss? Though, no, he
- 15:28Speaker 2: said that the person who sold the house to him
- 15:31Speaker 2: that it was like part.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Of the Yeah. She was like, she was like, oh, well, yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 1: you got to keep this. This is decoration. I'm like,
- 15:38Speaker 1: I don't think it's decoration. It looks like, yeah, it
- 15:41Speaker 1: looks like mold. Yeah, it's just growth. I don't think
- 15:44Speaker 1: moss is mold. Now it looks like fucked up grass
- 15:47Speaker 1: that's growing on the patio. It looks weird, it looks
- 15:49Speaker 1: weird stained. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So then I'm like there
- 15:52Speaker 1: with a shovel. I mean, it was some hard labor
- 15:55Speaker 1: out there yesterday. I was there with a shovel, scraping
- 15:57Speaker 1: that shit off, like scrape, scrape, and then i'd pressure wash.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I set a hard cut off for seven pm yesterday.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I must have went out there at like three point thirty. Wow. Yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and I got halfway done.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Oh man, what the hell? It's fun to think of
- 16:11Speaker 2: you with a shovel. Why I don't know, or just
- 16:14Speaker 2: you doing manual labor? Why I don't know, because usually
- 16:18Speaker 2: hire people for things like that.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I know, Well, the whole time I'm thinking I'm gonna
- 16:21Speaker 1: hire somebody to do because they, dude, they make pressure
- 16:23Speaker 1: like pressure washing companies a thing. Yeah, they're out there.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I'm just gonna hire them. And they have the Baalgy
- 16:29Speaker 1: pressure washers that would get this shit done in five minutes.
- 16:31Speaker 1: And maybe look at that fucking bird shit off your
- 16:33Speaker 1: window too, looking at it a new homeowner, This is
- 16:36Speaker 1: what we're gonna hear. Yeah, I know, over and over again.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I told him, I'm like, you know, you're gonna have
- 16:40Speaker 2: to deal with this all the time. And he was like, oh,
- 16:44Speaker 2: just dude, maybe it'll come back next year. I'm like,
- 16:46Speaker 2: it probably come back sooner than that. You just got
- 16:48Speaker 2: to keep cleaning it up, you know, maintaining.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Let's do some rapid round. Blake, are feeling smart today
- 16:53Speaker 1: or what's ah? No, yeah, we don't either. I'm a
- 16:56Speaker 1: good company. Yeah, we're all very dumb. All right, Well
- 17:00Speaker 1: you're not very dumb. I wasn't put on a spot
- 17:02Speaker 1: the last time.
- 17:03Speaker 2: No, that's a new feature. You must have been on
- 17:06Speaker 2: early early on. Yeah, we wrap it round thing that
- 17:10Speaker 2: we do. You get ten questions in sixty seconds.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Okay, all right, ready are you? Oh? Yeah? All right?
- 17:18Speaker 1: I was born ready. Yeah, the game begins into three.
- 17:26Speaker 1: All right, Blake, what large dog breed is? Named for
- 17:29Speaker 1: a saint Bernard? Yeah, very good? Yes? What continents started
- 17:33Speaker 1: off as a British prison Antarctica? No? What what was
- 17:40Speaker 1: the first animal to be domesticated by humans? Horses? No?
- 17:45Speaker 2: What word starts and ends with the letter H and
- 17:48Speaker 2: comes after the song lyrics? It's raining men? Alalujah?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Yeah? What mythical bird burst into flames when it dies? Uh? Phoenix? Yeah?
- 18:01Speaker 1: What Japanese tree has pink flowers in the spring? Can
- 18:07Speaker 1: I call a friend? We'll come back to it. What's
- 18:10Speaker 1: the unit for measuring sound intensity or loudness decibels? Yeah?
- 18:15Speaker 1: What does the sailor see when they yell? Dar? She blows?
- 18:21Speaker 1: What is it? What does the sailors see when they
- 18:23Speaker 1: say there she blows? What a dumb fucking question that is?
- 18:28Speaker 1: I don't know what a whale I was gonna see that.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I don't know why I didn't. I don't know why
- 18:34Speaker 1: I didn't. What else do we miss? What number on
- 18:37Speaker 1: the pH scale is neutral? H? Zero? It's what we
- 18:45Speaker 1: learned last week? Under seven is acid? Remember the scale?
- 18:50Speaker 1: I think one is too or zero is too obvious? One? No? Seven? Oh? Ship? Yeah?
- 18:56Speaker 1: What does the abbreviation as a P stand for as
- 18:59Speaker 1: soon as possible. Yeah, real hard one there, Thank you,
- 19:03Speaker 1: chat GPT chat GPT. I feel good about that large
- 19:08Speaker 1: dog breed named after a saint. That would be San Bernard.
- 19:11Speaker 1: You got that one right.
- 19:12Speaker 2: What continent started off as a British prison guest Australia?
- 19:17Speaker 1: Oh man, I think I knew that. I knew that.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Did you know that, Joel? About Australia? Yeah? Uh no,
- 19:25Speaker 1: uh all right. What was the first animal to be dovesticated?
- 19:29Speaker 1: That was dogs? It was a toss up for me. Yeah.
- 19:32Speaker 1: You know what word starts and ends with the letter
- 19:34Speaker 1: H and comes after the song lyrics? It's raining men?
- 19:36Speaker 1: You got that? Holly Lujah? Joel? Can you spell hallelujah
- 19:39Speaker 1: without looking at the paper? No, don't look at it. No,
- 19:43Speaker 1: all right? Fine. Mythical bird that burst into flames, that
- 19:45Speaker 1: was a phoenix, the Japanese tree that has pink flowers
- 19:49Speaker 1: in the spring.
- 19:50Speaker 3: I got phoenix, right, want phoenix? You did this one
- 19:53Speaker 3: I didn't get.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I don't know. You get cherry blossoms?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Yeah, downtown Bethlehem, by the library, they have like a
- 20:00Speaker 2: whole bunch of moments.
- 20:01Speaker 1: So awesome are those ones that's smelling jizz I don't know.
- 20:07Speaker 1: You know that planet Google right now? Really? But you
- 20:09Speaker 1: know that plant that just like smells like you walk
- 20:12Speaker 1: in You're like, what is it? Yeah?
- 20:14Speaker 2: I know, but google it. What tree smells like? Semen?
- 20:18Speaker 2: It's an actual like it comes up. I swear to God,
- 20:20Speaker 2: I'm sure it will ask what tell us? What search
- 20:23Speaker 2: thing comes up? Is it like the first or second one?
- 20:25Speaker 1: The tree you're smelling is most likely the cali pear,
- 20:29Speaker 1: often called the Bradford pear. It's beautiful, white spring blossoms,
- 20:33Speaker 1: release of pungent odor, frequently compared to semen or rotting meat.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I never thought that because of the scent contains nitrogen
- 20:43Speaker 1: based compounds called uh amense that doesn't sound right, which
- 20:52Speaker 1: attract pollinating flies. So yeah, just trees there you go,
- 20:57Speaker 1: Just trees. They're called a calorie pear. Anyway. Anyway, you
- 21:01Speaker 1: got decibels for the sound intensity and all that stuff.
- 21:05Speaker 1: The rsh she blows. That's what sailors say when they
- 21:08Speaker 1: see a whale.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I should have gotten that one. Yeah, so like half
- 21:11Speaker 3: of them. I got like half of them. Yeah that's
- 21:17Speaker 3: not bad.
- 21:18Speaker 1: That's better than I would have done. We don't keep score, blake, Yeah,
- 21:22Speaker 1: we only keep score when Becker gets them all wrong. Yeah,
- 21:25Speaker 1: which is really fun for me. Over the weekend, a
- 21:28Speaker 1: bunch of us went on an e bike ride from
- 21:31Speaker 1: Bethlehem to Easton and back. You know.
- 21:33Speaker 2: It was a lot of fun. And we were coming
- 21:37Speaker 2: to a crosswalk and a car stopped for us to
- 21:41Speaker 2: let us go. We weren't in the road or anything
- 21:43Speaker 2: like that, and then a truck came flying into the
- 21:46Speaker 2: back of her. Oh, there was an accident right in
- 21:49Speaker 2: front of us.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Watched.
- 21:50Speaker 2: We were like whoa, because we were all stud and
- 21:55Speaker 2: they got out of the car and there. I was like,
- 21:56Speaker 2: you guys are all right, and they were like yeah, yeah,
- 21:58Speaker 2: like everyone seems fine. He was okay, yeah, wow, And
- 22:02Speaker 2: then we just kept riding. I'm like, we can leave, right,
- 22:06Speaker 2: I guess we just left. Well what are you supposed
- 22:08Speaker 2: to do?
- 22:08Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 22:09Speaker 2: We were witnesses, but it was obviously that guy's fault.
- 22:11Speaker 2: He drove into the back of her.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Yeah, as long as everybody's alive. I just thought it
- 22:15Speaker 1: was funny. I'm like, you guys think it's weird. We
- 22:17Speaker 1: just kind of left. That lady stopped for us, and
- 22:20Speaker 1: we just like deserted her. Actually, now that you say
- 22:22Speaker 1: that isn't that there might be a thing like leaving
- 22:25Speaker 1: the scene of a craving the scene of a crime
- 22:27Speaker 1: or crash. You were really involved? No, so yeah, I'll
- 22:34Speaker 1: tell you what though, you might have been involved because
- 22:36Speaker 1: the reason why the truck guy crashed is because he
- 22:38Speaker 1: was driving down the road and he said, is not
- 22:40Speaker 1: a bunch of people on fucking e bikes? And then
- 22:44Speaker 1: all of a sudden, pooh, yeah, e bikes, we just
- 22:46Speaker 1: don't do that. Me and my friends were on an
- 22:48Speaker 1: e bike ride and it was fun. What the hell
- 22:50Speaker 1: is at? A bunch of people brought beer and we
- 22:53Speaker 1: smoked joints. Are you allowed to Are you allowed to
- 22:55Speaker 1: do that? See that sounds like that sounds like risky
- 22:58Speaker 1: business over there. I don't know.
- 22:59Speaker 3: We're on rails, you know, drinking and riding Yeah on
- 23:03Speaker 3: e byke If that is illegal, which it is.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Is like I want to be motorcycle right, very slow.
- 23:10Speaker 1: It's just a bike with an engine. Area has a
- 23:13Speaker 1: bit of a motor so you get a little more oomph.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Sounds like a dui to me, do pedal yeah okay, yeah,
- 23:19Speaker 1: it has different levels and I put on the lower
- 23:21Speaker 1: end so I can still like actually do some work.
- 23:23Speaker 1: You do pedal, Yeah, but you can also not. And
- 23:26Speaker 1: I'm just put it like a throttle and just go.
- 23:28Speaker 1: How fast can that thing go? I think for thirty
- 23:30Speaker 1: miles an hour or so? Really? Wow? Eight I think
- 23:34Speaker 1: it's like twenty eight. Yeah, you're taking that thing on
- 23:36Speaker 1: a trail. I don't go twenty eight miles per hour.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Likely crash into a tree, yeah, especially if we're partying
- 23:43Speaker 2: during that time. But again, if that's illegal, we definitely
- 23:46Speaker 2: didn't do that. If cops are listening, it sounds kind
- 23:49Speaker 2: of illegal to me.
- 23:50Speaker 3: I don't Anyway, you got some random thoughts to go
- 23:52Speaker 3: to speaking to cops and random thoughts?
- 23:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, hit the button, blazed and confused, random thoughts.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Blake reminded me when he showed up today that I
- 24:03Speaker 2: went to a party at Blake's house one time and
- 24:06Speaker 2: people were allowed to smoke weed, but in a closet
- 24:08Speaker 2: downstairs and then and the basement. Remember that, Yeah, well
- 24:13Speaker 2: somebody made up that role. I'm pretty sure you told
- 24:15Speaker 2: us to go into this room. But anyway, I'm in
- 24:17Speaker 2: there with a bunch of people I have I've never
- 24:19Speaker 2: met before, and there we're going around a circle about
- 24:22Speaker 2: like talking about what we do for a living and
- 24:24Speaker 2: how we know you, and I was like, oh, I
- 24:25Speaker 2: work with him at the radio station, and they were like,
- 24:27Speaker 2: oh cool.
- 24:28Speaker 1: And then this they get to this one guy and
- 24:30Speaker 1: he goes, I'm.
- 24:31Speaker 2: A cop, and I was like what, I like, you know,
- 24:37Speaker 2: exhaled and coughed, and I was like, Okay, get the
- 24:39Speaker 2: fuck out of here.
- 24:40Speaker 1: He's like, no, it's cool. I smoke. For the life
- 24:43Speaker 1: of me, I have no idea who that was.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Now.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I think maybe he was just fucking with you. Ah see,
- 24:49Speaker 1: that's all with me all these years. That's as well.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I mean, I'm doubting that maybe maybe he was with
- 24:55Speaker 1: somebody who I invite, you know what i mean, Like
- 24:57Speaker 1: he looked like a cop, I'll tell you. And what
- 25:01Speaker 1: does a cop look like? What they look like.
- 25:03Speaker 3: I didn't have any good friends that were police officers,
- 25:06Speaker 3: so I'm trying to think, you know, or trying to
- 25:09Speaker 3: think of friends that were married to one, like or
- 25:12Speaker 3: brought one.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I don't know either way. I show my pants that day,
- 25:16Speaker 1: that's great. Did you say something to me that?
- 25:18Speaker 4: Like?
- 25:19Speaker 1: Right then?
- 25:19Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure I walked out of there and I
- 25:21Speaker 2: was like, that guy is a cop. I was you
- 25:23Speaker 2: put me in a room with a guy that was
- 25:24Speaker 2: this setup or something, and I have no recollection of
- 25:27Speaker 2: this whatsoever too, So yeah, it was very funny. I
- 25:31Speaker 2: know a couple of cops. I invited one on the
- 25:33Speaker 2: show and he was like, and what's the show about?
- 25:36Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, it's this trivia.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Show and he's like, but you smoke weed and I
- 25:40Speaker 1: was like yeah, and he goes, I can't go on
- 25:42Speaker 1: man speak, which he's like, oh my god, yes, cop,
- 25:47Speaker 1: my god, No, it's nope, don't give it to him.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Oh man, Like he is no for like a year now, man,
- 25:56Speaker 1: I know, man, Oh is this triggering? Oh yeah, but
- 25:58Speaker 1: in a good way. It's okay, you can it blowed
- 26:00Speaker 1: on me. Blake just took out his vape and I
- 26:04Speaker 1: quit vaping a year ago. And I feel like a
- 26:07Speaker 1: drug addic because every time somebody takes one out, I'm like, really,
- 26:11Speaker 1: I mean, you've cheated, You've had some puffs, right like
- 26:14Speaker 1: you have. But however, though every time I do, I'm like, oh,
- 26:16Speaker 1: this is awful. How the hell did I do this?
- 26:19Speaker 1: I don't know, Like as soon as you stopped for
- 26:20Speaker 1: a couple of months, like I don't know However, now too, man,
- 26:23Speaker 1: I drank a little bit too much alcohol this past weekend,
- 26:26Speaker 1: and I caught myself thinking, I want a cigarette. Yeah.
- 26:31Speaker 3: See, that's the when you said that about about vape.
- 26:35Speaker 3: That was definitely the case with cigarettes. When you stop smoking,
- 26:38Speaker 3: they are disgusting and I can't go back. Yeah, these
- 26:44Speaker 3: things are tasty.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yeah they're tasty, but like not when you do it
- 26:47Speaker 1: all day long, all day long, every day. Yeah, day
- 26:50Speaker 1: in and day out, the thing would make me freaking nauseous,
- 26:52Speaker 1: and I would I would run off the three main
- 26:54Speaker 1: food groups nicotine, marijuana, and caffeine, the big three.
- 26:59Speaker 2: You and I used to seek outside and have cigarettes
- 27:01Speaker 2: every now and then, yeah, work, and Joel and I
- 27:02Speaker 2: did too.
- 27:03Speaker 1: You have to pull out. I don't know what you're
- 27:04Speaker 1: talking about. Oh, that's right, we've never smoked. You always
- 27:09Speaker 1: used to con everybody into coming outside to smoke a
- 27:11Speaker 1: cigarette with you. You know what everybody at work was
- 27:13Speaker 1: famous for like this. Well it's true though, everybody had
- 27:17Speaker 1: the secret cigarette with you, Like it was I'm gonna
- 27:20Speaker 1: smoke this with you, but don't tell anybody I'm doing this.
- 27:22Speaker 1: And we go out on that concrete slab in the
- 27:24Speaker 1: back at the back. Yep, yep, yep. I'm gonna smoke this,
- 27:29Speaker 1: but don't tell anybody that I smoked cigarettes.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I wanted to talk about this the other
- 27:35Speaker 2: day at work. So in our office building, when you
- 27:39Speaker 2: get on the first floor is a like a oral
- 27:42Speaker 2: surgery place, and then if you get in the elevator,
- 27:45Speaker 2: it goes up to the next floor, which is a
- 27:46Speaker 2: law firm, and then you get to the next floor,
- 27:48Speaker 2: which is the top floor. It's where I work for
- 27:50Speaker 2: my full time job at the ad agency. And what happens, though,
- 27:53Speaker 2: is when the doors open up the elevator, you are
- 27:55Speaker 2: in that business right There's it's just like you're there,
- 27:58Speaker 2: you have arrived.
- 27:59Speaker 1: And I texted him the other day about this. This
- 28:03Speaker 1: woman like came upstairs with a child and a stroller
- 28:08Speaker 1: that was screaming its head off and then continued to
- 28:12Speaker 1: walk around the office like as if it would be
- 28:16Speaker 1: a normal thing to do. Like she said, at one
- 28:20Speaker 1: point she got like deep into the office and somebody
- 28:22Speaker 1: went over and was like, can we help you. She's like, yeah,
- 28:24Speaker 1: my daughter's downstairs getting oral surgery. She's getting her wisdom
- 28:27Speaker 1: teeth out. So my other daughter or kid here needed
- 28:29Speaker 1: to take a walk. It's like, this isn't a walk.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I was like, this isn't a mall.
- 28:35Speaker 2: It's the quietest office you've ever been in in your life.
- 28:39Speaker 2: And this baby's just screaming at it. It's like crazy.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Wow.
- 28:44Speaker 3: She wasn't apologetic about it, like, oh, I didn't realize
- 28:46Speaker 3: how these are, Like.
- 28:48Speaker 1: She was put off by us, like asking her to leave,
- 28:51Speaker 1: like this isn't a normal place to be right now,
- 28:53Speaker 1: Like she was like a complete space cadet. It was
- 28:55Speaker 1: very strange. Wow anyway that happened. Wow, my thing with that, man,
- 29:00Speaker 1: your office is really not secure if any Tom Dick
- 29:03Speaker 1: and Harry can just walk right the hell in with
- 29:05Speaker 1: their screaming kid.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I think about it all the time, and I never
- 29:08Speaker 2: anyone but literally anyone can walk in. Sometimes people walk
- 29:11Speaker 2: in and there's nobody at the front desk or anything,
- 29:12Speaker 2: and they're just kind of like, yay, do you work here?
- 29:15Speaker 3: You know, because I have two employers, full time and
- 29:20Speaker 3: part time, and in both cases I have a key card.
- 29:23Speaker 3: You have to have a key card to get in. Yeah,
- 29:25Speaker 3: there's none of that. No, man, you just come on
- 29:29Speaker 3: in there, you go.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I go back to them and say, listen, I'm not
- 29:31Speaker 1: coming back to your damn office until you figure this out. Okay,
- 29:35Speaker 1: that's even more of an excuse to work from home.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I don't feel secure exactly. You're welcome, You're welcome anyway. Anyway,
- 29:42Speaker 1: What else do you do? You have anything in your
- 29:44Speaker 1: going on in your head this week? Random thoughts? No, nothing,
- 29:48Speaker 1: there's always something, But I don't know. He talked about
- 29:51Speaker 1: it already with the home ownership. A pressure washer that
- 29:54Speaker 1: sets my red fine. I used to think I would
- 29:56Speaker 1: like pressure washing. I don't. No.
- 29:59Speaker 3: I think you just to get like an actual, good quality,
- 30:02Speaker 3: new pressure washer, and I think the satisfaction of it
- 30:05Speaker 3: might be there.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but still I don't want to do it all
- 30:07Speaker 1: damn day. If it takes all day, I don't want
- 30:10Speaker 1: to do it. No, like an hour and a half
- 30:12Speaker 1: maybe or an hour. He's like, I gotta smoke this
- 30:14Speaker 1: weed instead. Yeah. The previous owner told me, oh, honey,
- 30:16Speaker 1: it only takes fifteen minutes to cut the grass. Bullshit.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Oh my well, it took me at least like close
- 30:23Speaker 1: to an hour last week, and and again put in years. Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 1: but again because of this yard, like the flower beds
- 30:33Speaker 1: are freaking everywhere, and there's plants and trees and pots
- 30:36Speaker 1: of this and that everywhere. So like you, no, but
- 30:39Speaker 1: that's just it. You can't even mow in straight lines.
- 30:41Speaker 1: You got a zig zag around everything. It's such a
- 30:43Speaker 1: pain in the ass. And then again, just like the deck,
- 30:45Speaker 1: you know, I spent all day on a deck yesterday
- 30:47Speaker 1: power washing this thing. I'm done. I'm like, wow, this
- 30:49Speaker 1: looks like shit. I mowed the lawn a week ago.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I'm done. I walk around, I'm like, this doesn't even
- 30:54Speaker 1: look good, like like I missed parts. I missed parts
- 30:57Speaker 1: of it. And I was minded that growing up. I
- 31:02Speaker 1: think that my dad only made me mow the lawn
- 31:04Speaker 1: for like one or two summers, and then they got
- 31:07Speaker 1: tired of like I would mow it, and then they'd
- 31:08Speaker 1: walk around and be like, what about here? And what
- 31:11Speaker 1: about here? And you missed this spot? Yeah, so I
- 31:14Speaker 1: think that they gave up on making me moubble lawn.
- 31:17Speaker 1: What else you got more random thoughts? I was telling
- 31:20Speaker 1: my friend the other day about how happy I was
- 31:22Speaker 1: when I went over to my parents' house and they
- 31:23Speaker 1: still have a cookie jar on the on the counter
- 31:26Speaker 1: in the kitchen. I don't I never see cookie cookie
- 31:28Speaker 1: jars anymore. No, No, we should bring back the cookie jar.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Is that like really used to be a thing thing,
- 31:35Speaker 1: Like everybody had a cookie jar when I was growing up,
- 31:38Speaker 1: Like every house had a cookie jar. We don't hang
- 31:40Speaker 1: out with my family anyway that I can remember. The
- 31:42Speaker 1: senior citizens see cookie jars. True, I'm gonna get one.
- 31:47Speaker 1: What a random thing to say. I mean, just a
- 31:50Speaker 1: jar to put cookies in. Yeah, I can't just eat
- 31:53Speaker 1: them out of the bag. I don't know. You got
- 31:56Speaker 1: to put them in the jar. Maybe because they won't
- 31:58Speaker 1: you won't bring the jar on the couch with you,
- 32:00Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's well, that's not true.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Remember h Charles chips in the big tins and they
- 32:09Speaker 3: would get delivered, Yeah, potato chips.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Do you remember that? Do you remember that? No?
- 32:12Speaker 3: I had a friend who he always I thought that
- 32:15Speaker 3: was so extravagant, Like they had a delivery service. A
- 32:18Speaker 3: truck would come with this giant tin of potato chips.
- 32:22Speaker 3: It's kind of like a cookie jar of thing. Yeah,
- 32:27Speaker 3: And it was like a centerpiece on the table for
- 32:29Speaker 3: a while, and then I guess when it was empty,
- 32:31Speaker 3: the guy would take back the old tin and bring
- 32:33Speaker 3: you a new tin. Like people getting water delivered and
- 32:36Speaker 3: they like, man, that is like just luxurious.
- 32:40Speaker 1: I remember those delivery trucks driving around. Maybe you even
- 32:43Speaker 1: remember these, but they had like ice cream, like all
- 32:46Speaker 1: different kinds of like products on the side. It was
- 32:48Speaker 1: like ice cream, milk, dairy, I don't know. And they
- 32:52Speaker 1: would like deliver things to people's houses. You probably don't
- 32:54Speaker 1: remember this at all, but like this wasn't even that
- 32:57Speaker 1: long ago. It was like fifteen years ago.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I remember seeing those around, but I would always see that,
- 33:01Speaker 2: and I wouldn't I didn't know how you got connected
- 33:03Speaker 2: with that kind of thing. I'm like, people just come
- 33:06Speaker 2: and bring your shit. Now they do Amazon in twenty
- 33:09Speaker 2: twenty six. People bring your shit to you all the time.
- 33:10Speaker 3: I get Amazon delivered stuff whatever every day with the
- 33:14Speaker 3: subscriptions and the.
- 33:15Speaker 1: I talked about it on the radio the other day.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Amazon is rolling out this new feature in a couple
- 33:20Speaker 1: of markets called Amazon Now, which is thirty minute delivery. Wow. Yeah,
- 33:25Speaker 1: how much does that cost? Though? I don't know. I
- 33:27Speaker 1: don't know. You're gonna pay it, aren't you? Hell yeah, Well, honestly,
- 33:30Speaker 1: I'm already doing now. Like you order something on Amazon,
- 33:32Speaker 1: you order it in the beginning of the day and
- 33:34Speaker 1: it comes by like five o'clock at night. That was
- 33:36Speaker 1: pretty crazy. That's pretty crazy. I'm doing that multiple times
- 33:39Speaker 1: a week now. But but dude, they get you. They
- 33:41Speaker 1: get you. It's like, you have to spend twenty five
- 33:44Speaker 1: dollars on quote unquote qualifying items. So you go and
- 33:48Speaker 1: you need one thing. It's like, oh, I really need batteries.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I hope I can get batteries. Oh look, I can
- 33:52Speaker 1: get batteries by five o'clock towl. Oh, but I need
- 33:55Speaker 1: to spend up to twenty five dollars. And it's like,
- 33:57Speaker 1: here's recommendations, another stupid little shit that you don't need,
- 34:01Speaker 1: just so you can get your order up to twenty
- 34:02Speaker 1: five dollars to qualify for the same day delivery. So
- 34:05Speaker 1: maybe that's what they'll do for the for the Amazon now,
- 34:08Speaker 1: maybe that's how they get you.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I'm kind of addicted to the subscriptions, like anything I
- 34:12Speaker 3: can subscribe to, you know, uh, shampoo, Oh yeah, you
- 34:17Speaker 3: do all that, sponges, yeah, whatever. I have it all
- 34:20Speaker 3: all set and it's just all automatic. So almost every
- 34:23Speaker 3: day I'm getting something from Amazon. Like literally, it's like
- 34:26Speaker 3: Christmas every day, isn't it.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Yeah, they're rich.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Right, You're about to learn absolutely nothing. Go Blazed and
- 34:38Speaker 4: Confused podcast.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Ready, Yeah, Am I going first? Do you want to
- 34:42Speaker 1: go first? Sure? Okay, all right? Question number one? You
- 34:47Speaker 1: mean like you ask me going first? Yeah, definitely, that
- 34:50Speaker 1: will never really verify that, definitely that one.
- 34:53Speaker 4: That one.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Now, Blake, I come to you as a lifeline. Okay,
- 34:56Speaker 2: one time, he says, one time. I'm a little loose
- 34:59Speaker 2: on the rules.
- 35:00Speaker 1: One time, maybe three times. I really wanted to do
- 35:04Speaker 1: all music trivia since Blake was here, We're gonna do
- 35:06Speaker 1: that next time you come, Blake. But I'm but I'm
- 35:08Speaker 1: gonna start with a movie music question. Okay. The instrumental
- 35:14Speaker 1: album called Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. It became a
- 35:19Speaker 1: huge hit after what was used for the soundtrack of
- 35:23Speaker 1: what nineteen seventy three movie That's That's easy. I don't
- 35:27Speaker 1: know it. We're gonna go to him on the first question,
- 35:30Speaker 1: I don't know it. We need to make the rule
- 35:32Speaker 1: that you get one lifeline, because again, if you had
- 35:35Speaker 1: four lifelines and four questions.
- 35:37Speaker 3: One of the craziest horror movies of all time, especially
- 35:40Speaker 3: the backstory of the making of it.
- 35:42Speaker 1: See I was gonna put the horror movie in the question,
- 35:44Speaker 1: but I decided not to. I'll read it together. I'm
- 35:46Speaker 1: obsessed with like the backstory behind the movie. See, I
- 35:50Speaker 1: could give a fuck about the movie. I think the
- 35:52Speaker 1: album's cool. I just listened to the album last week.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I've actually never seen the movie the full Tubular Bells. Yeah,
- 35:58Speaker 1: it's neat, it's very cool. You wouldn't like it because
- 36:01Speaker 1: it's like Days of Future passed by the Moody Blues.
- 36:03Speaker 1: It's weird rock. You'd hate it. Breathe Deep, the Gathering Gloom.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's one of my favorite things to hear.
- 36:10Speaker 1: It's not triggering to me at all. Would you know
- 36:12Speaker 1: what movie it is? If like you heard Tubular Belts,
- 36:16Speaker 1: maybe he probably would. Can you play? I allowed to no,
- 36:19Speaker 1: No for legal reasons. I was trying. For my reasons.
- 36:23Speaker 1: I was hinting I was trying. The instrumental album called
- 36:26Speaker 1: Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield became a huge hit after
- 36:30Speaker 1: it was used for the soundtrack of what nineteen seventy
- 36:33Speaker 1: three movie.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Huge horror movie in the seventies. People were passing out
- 36:37Speaker 3: in the theaters when they saw it. There was all
- 36:40Speaker 3: this drama behind the scenes of the making of it.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Linda Blair.
- 36:46Speaker 1: She was a kid. All right. You gotta remember who
- 36:48Speaker 1: you got it wrong. It's the extracise. Yes, yes, man.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Wait, was I supposed to like, could you have said, hey,
- 36:57Speaker 3: I need a lifeline and I could have answered that
- 36:59Speaker 3: for him, Yeah, but he wouldn't like allow it for
- 37:01Speaker 3: some reason.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I was just you could have you could have done it.
- 37:04Speaker 1: But that's the first question.
- 37:05Speaker 3: That's my fault because I should have just been like, oh, extra,
- 37:08Speaker 3: that's okay.
- 37:08Speaker 1: That means I can just come to you next time. Yeah,
- 37:11Speaker 1: you're gonna need him for this one too. For this.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Let's see question two. I only saw The Exorcist like
- 37:19Speaker 1: three times my whole life. I've never seen it. Oh
- 37:22Speaker 1: my god. Is it long? I don't think so. Is
- 37:24Speaker 1: it longer than an hour and a half? Man, I
- 37:26Speaker 1: don't think so. You got to see it. He won't
- 37:29Speaker 1: ever watch. I wish you would. I wish you would
- 37:32Speaker 1: just get high and be like, I'm gonna see what
- 37:34Speaker 1: these guys are talking. You gotta get do you gotta
- 37:41Speaker 1: see it? Anyway, Let's do guess the year and another
- 37:45Speaker 1: movie question to hear what year did the first Shrek
- 37:49Speaker 1: movie come out? Oh? Man, I don't know what year
- 37:53Speaker 1: did the first Shrek movie come out. I was in school.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I think I feel like it was like nine, ten
- 38:00Speaker 1: ninety nine. I'm gonna say nineteen ninety nine. Wait wait,
- 38:08Speaker 1: I was gonna say nineteen ninety six. Correct Answers eight
- 38:12Speaker 1: two thousand and one. Oh wow, one geez, that's one
- 38:17Speaker 1: of those movies. I was just on TV, so I
- 38:20Speaker 1: watched it last week. I don't know it kind of
- 38:22Speaker 1: it's like I grewup it in the same category as
- 38:23Speaker 1: Polar Express. Of like the early two thousands animation looks
- 38:27Speaker 1: weird now like it obviously like it doesn't, but it's
- 38:30Speaker 1: weird because it doesn't look nostalgic. It just looks strange.
- 38:33Speaker 1: I think the animation on Shrek is better than Polar Express. Well,
- 38:37Speaker 1: Polar Express had a certain look to it. Yeah yea
- 38:39Speaker 1: yeah on purpose. Yeah yeah yeah. It was almost like storybook.
- 38:44Speaker 1: But it's weird though, because life animation. I don't know
- 38:47Speaker 1: how Toy Story, on the other hand, well, I guess
- 38:49Speaker 1: toy Story is Pixar, and Pixar is and Shrek, right,
- 38:52Speaker 1: Shrek is DreamWorks. I think, yeah, you might be right,
- 38:55Speaker 1: yeah yeah, But like Toy Story, I think stands at
- 38:57Speaker 1: tested time. Still, that's the best movie ever. Really, all
- 39:01Speaker 1: of those movies make me cry. I think Toy Stories,
- 39:03Speaker 1: the original Toy Story should win the award for the
- 39:05Speaker 1: best movie ever of all time, no questions asked. I
- 39:07Speaker 1: don't know about that. That and then the Brady Bunch movie. Second,
- 39:10Speaker 1: he's got really bad taste in movies. I like those
- 39:12Speaker 1: movies a lot. Though. The Brady Bunch movies are really good,
- 39:16Speaker 1: so good. Yeah, I used to watch them a lot. Anyway,
- 39:19Speaker 1: A question three? All right, two more questions that you're
- 39:25Speaker 1: not gonna get right, Great Doctor's office for the next category,
- 39:30Speaker 1: the familiar I chart with rows of letters. It's officially
- 39:35Speaker 1: known by what name? What do you call that? Oh?
- 39:40Speaker 1: I have no idea. The familiar I chart with rows
- 39:46Speaker 1: of letters is officially known by what name? I feel
- 39:50Speaker 1: like I just want to chime in all the ti
- 39:52Speaker 1: am I allowed to Well, I.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Technically haven't come to you yet, so I'm gonna go
- 39:57Speaker 3: to you for my life. That's a bad one, all right,
- 39:59Speaker 3: I take it back. I think I was just gonna
- 40:02Speaker 3: like like help and just say, like think about ocular.
- 40:06Speaker 3: I thought that that, but like, yeah, it's gotta be
- 40:13Speaker 3: something like that is there somebody's name involved.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's a blank chart and the first part
- 40:20Speaker 1: is a name blank chart. You're not gonna get that,
- 40:23Speaker 1: I have, I have no idea. These are hard. The
- 40:29Speaker 1: correct answer, of course, obviously, fucking dumbass, is a snelling chart.
- 40:33Speaker 1: I would never have known that it's any word snelling chart. Now,
- 40:39Speaker 1: that was his name snelling here, just like Abraham Snelling
- 40:43Speaker 1: or something. I don't know if it was Abraham, one
- 40:47Speaker 1: of those what a random pull for a first name
- 40:49Speaker 1: you were going to make Snelling? That actually doesn't sound
- 40:55Speaker 1: good at all. For some reason. It doesn't sound good
- 40:57Speaker 1: God naming children Abe Snelling. But then again, what name
- 41:04Speaker 1: would go good with snelling? That's not bad? Abe Snelling? Abe, No,
- 41:08Speaker 1: it did. It makes it sound like Abe is smelling something,
- 41:12Speaker 1: smelling snells Abe. I think it's gonna sound like that,
- 41:17Speaker 1: regardless of what the first name is. Sneller. We got
- 41:21Speaker 1: to look it up. Now, who what was his first name?
- 41:23Speaker 1: Abraham Sneller? I think it was Abraham, I swear, Oh wow,
- 41:29Speaker 1: we were way off Herman Herman Herman Snelling. I was
- 41:34Speaker 1: close with a sort of Yeah, they're both kind of
- 41:36Speaker 1: like out of you know, left field type. I like that,
- 41:39Speaker 1: Abraham Herman, there's the he in the age anyway? Question
- 41:45Speaker 1: what four three four four four? Question four twenty what
- 41:51Speaker 1: it's a new category which you might not like. I
- 41:54Speaker 1: don't really care. Let's see if you can get it.
- 41:57Speaker 1: You don't care. You don't have to say that. The
- 41:58Speaker 1: category is family feud. Okay. Steve Harvey once asked name
- 42:04Speaker 1: something it might take a hundred year old man thirty
- 42:07Speaker 1: minutes to do. Can you pick the top answer? Put
- 42:13Speaker 1: on his pants? Put on his pants? Final answer really dirty? No,
- 42:20Speaker 1: I thought that too, Blake, But no, it's not that. No,
- 42:23Speaker 1: go to the bathroom, take a pee? Oh just pee? Yeah, man,
- 42:26Speaker 1: not even God, if it takes me a half hour
- 42:29Speaker 1: to take a piss, put me out of my visitor.
- 42:31Speaker 2: I was just gonna say, take two hours. Oh my god,
- 42:36Speaker 2: that's your whole day, you know, all your free time. Really,
- 42:40Speaker 2: just do me in, just shoot me.
- 42:42Speaker 1: How do old, really old people like that go to
- 42:45Speaker 1: the bathroom? That must be a wow. We should have
- 42:47Speaker 1: a really old person on our show. Ye, Hey, how
- 42:49Speaker 1: do you use the bathroom? All right? You learned a
- 42:54Speaker 1: lot with my questions, and I would love to point
- 42:56Speaker 1: out that you got them all wrong anyway.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Okay, question number one, Oh man, yours are kind of
- 43:04Speaker 2: easy because I've been giving you harder ones, but and
- 43:08Speaker 2: you gave me all that ship. All right, here we go,
- 43:10Speaker 2: learn a lot one, learned a lot. What device did
- 43:13Speaker 2: Galileo famously improve?
- 43:16Speaker 1: The telescope? Sure? Yeah? Final answer? Yeah, fucking wow. I
- 43:21Speaker 1: didn't think you'd get that at all. You don't even
- 43:23Speaker 1: like space or anything. You know why I know that?
- 43:25Speaker 1: It's because of a song. There's a song by Amy Grant.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Anybody remember Amy Grant? Anybody? Anybody? Yeah? I mean her? Yeah,
- 43:33Speaker 1: It's called Galileo. How does it go? It's like I'm
- 43:36Speaker 1: Galileo in the Spring of pot It like tells the
- 43:43Speaker 1: whole story. I don't remember what. People don't have to
- 43:45Speaker 1: like pay to listen to this. I don't remember what
- 43:47Speaker 1: the words are to the song. But I'm just telling
- 43:49Speaker 1: you that's the reason why I know. I think, like
- 43:51Speaker 1: everybody knows, Galileo did the telescope thing. Had another song
- 43:55Speaker 1: that was really big hit, like dude, baby baby yesterday, baby,
- 43:58Speaker 1: Where was I? Where was I? Where were walking around?
- 44:02Speaker 1: Who were you? Joel? Joel? Where were you? I don't know?
- 44:05Speaker 1: Where was I were you. I don't remember. I don't remember. No,
- 44:09Speaker 1: this is crazy. I'm having a brain far right now.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I was somewhere yesterday with two friends and dude, we
- 44:14Speaker 1: were out in public and that song was blaring out
- 44:16Speaker 1: of and I was like, oh my god, Amy Grant,
- 44:19Speaker 1: Baby Baby, And everybody's always says the same thing, Joe,
- 44:22Speaker 1: shut the funk up, like everybody hates that. I always like,
- 44:24Speaker 1: you know, in pointing out the various songs that are
- 44:26Speaker 1: coming from miles away. But anyway, Amy Grant, Galileo Telescope,
- 44:31Speaker 1: all right, educational podcast learning a lot question too. I
- 44:37Speaker 1: am good. It's hard to believe people are smarter because
- 44:42Speaker 1: of this show, you know what I mean? Teachers right, well,
- 44:47Speaker 1: I don't know about that, all right, that might be
- 44:49Speaker 1: a little extreme. Question number two, What mineral has replaced
- 44:54Speaker 1: lead and pencils? Hm? Hm oh? What mineral has replaced
- 45:00Speaker 1: lead in pencils? I want to know this slate slate
- 45:05Speaker 1: feels slate? Is slate? What you're right on? Or slate?
- 45:08Speaker 1: What the pencils made out of? Slate? A mineral? I
- 45:11Speaker 1: don't think it. When's the last time you wrote with
- 45:13Speaker 1: a pencil. There's a question A long time ago, A
- 45:15Speaker 1: long time ago. Next question, what's the best brand of
- 45:18Speaker 1: pencil and why is it? Taekwonder Roga. The name's great
- 45:22Speaker 1: because it's fun as fun to say. Was there a war? Tekond?
- 45:29Speaker 1: Is that something? War? A battle? A battle? Yeah? Maybe
- 45:35Speaker 1: that sounds right. Maybe I don't know what mineral has
- 45:38Speaker 1: replaced lead in pencils. I want to say slate. Is
- 45:42Speaker 1: slate a mineral? No it's not. I don't think it's
- 45:45Speaker 1: just a rock, yeah, something like that. There's a good question,
- 45:50Speaker 1: rock guy, I have no idea. I mean either, dude,
- 45:52Speaker 1: people are really into rocks. That's like a big thing.
- 45:55Speaker 1: I saw a lot of rocks outside here. I saw
- 45:59Speaker 1: a local show that was all like selling like little
- 46:02Speaker 1: crystals and rocks, and they have like a brick and
- 46:04Speaker 1: mortar store, and like, I can't help but think, I'm sorry,
- 46:07Speaker 1: but like, how do you people stay in business? Like
- 46:10Speaker 1: is there people running here all day long to buy
- 46:12Speaker 1: little crystals and rocks? And yeah, I guess I guess
- 46:16Speaker 1: there are. Or it's a drug front Walter, Yeah, right,
- 46:20Speaker 1: breaking bad. Anyway, what mineral has replaced pencils? You have
- 46:26Speaker 1: no idea? I think slate no graphite? Oh duh? I
- 46:33Speaker 1: knew that. If I did not, I know you got
- 46:36Speaker 1: it wrong, Captain obvious. Let's go to the next one.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Question three, What ocean surrounds Antarctica? What ocean surrounds Antarctica?
- 46:54Speaker 1: Hmm okay, so like there's seven oceans? Right? I need
- 47:05Speaker 1: it's getting serious because I'm getting sharpie wish she had
- 47:07Speaker 1: a pencil, Konda roga nice graphie one s we're retaining
- 47:13Speaker 1: this information? Yeah, speak for yourself a lot here anyway. Okay,
- 47:16Speaker 1: so it's not Atlantic, it's not Pacific, Indian probably not, yeah,
- 47:23Speaker 1: but maybe like maybe, uh, isn't there one called the Arctic?
- 47:27Speaker 1: I'm sorry, the Indian Ocean? Anyway, Sorry, it's not that
- 47:30Speaker 1: one because that one made me laugh. It's good Arctic Arctic?
- 47:34Speaker 1: What is it Antarctica? Isn't the Arctic ocean? And ocean? Yeah? Okay,
- 47:37Speaker 1: so then it's got to be that one, right, I
- 47:40Speaker 1: don't know would he ask that as a question? Okay,
- 47:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna say Arctic ocean? No, just called the Southern Ocean? What? Yeah?
- 47:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, isn't it? So what are the seven oceans?
