- 1:26Speaker 2: Welcome into it all, Willie Wednesday.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Here on July twenty second, SCC Media Days in full effect.
- 1:34Speaker 1: This sport's program brought to you by Central Texas Sports Medicine.
- 1:38Speaker 1: We've got a big show lined up. We're gonna hear
- 1:41Speaker 1: from Mike Elko, we are going to hear from Marcel Reid.
- 1:45Speaker 1: We are going to hear from Kaylin to Boor. We
- 1:48Speaker 1: are going to hear from Tory Edwards as she gets
- 1:53Speaker 1: ready to play in the AUSL playoffs that are at
- 1:59Speaker 1: Davis Dye in tomorrow night and then Saturday, Sunday and
- 2:04Speaker 1: if needed, Monday. As far as what is going on
- 2:12Speaker 1: with the tournament there, She's been doing lots of games
- 2:18Speaker 1: as a broadcaster, but she gets to play on her
- 2:20Speaker 1: home field again. So we will talk with Tory Vedallas
- 2:24Speaker 1: coming up here in the first half hour of the show.
- 2:27Speaker 1: But first let's get to the sports headlines. As lots
- 2:33Speaker 1: going on, some of it having to do with SEC football.
- 2:40Speaker 1: We will hear from Kaylin to Board as Alabama does
- 2:45Speaker 1: not have a quarterback and that is the question of
- 2:49Speaker 1: the day for all the Alabama fans and the head
- 2:52Speaker 1: coach that Keelan Russell and Austin Mack are in a
- 2:56Speaker 1: competition going into fall camp. It's going to lead to
- 3:00Speaker 1: a tough decision, yes, because one will play and one
- 3:06Speaker 1: will leave. Now, they won't leave immediately, and they may
- 3:10Speaker 1: play in a couple three games, but at some point
- 3:13Speaker 1: in time whoever loses the quarterback competition there is going
- 3:17Speaker 1: to decide to leave Alabama because you're not going to
- 3:26Speaker 1: have the runner up there stay with the program. It's
- 3:33Speaker 1: just not how it happens anymore. Also, today Pete Golden
- 3:41Speaker 1: was on the stands and meeting the press and said
- 3:47Speaker 1: that not really anything, no problems with him and Lane
- 3:54Speaker 1: Kiffen after leaving LSU and then Golden getting the and
- 4:00Speaker 1: not following him to LSU. So the interesting note from
- 4:08Speaker 1: that today was that he purchased one of Lane Kiffin's
- 4:13Speaker 1: houses in Oxford, Mississippi.
- 4:16Speaker 2: So how about that.
- 4:19Speaker 1: That's not the first time that's happened, it won't be
- 4:22Speaker 1: the last.
- 4:24Speaker 2: But you see that.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Those guys still have a pretty decent relationship. John Summer,
- 4:33Speaker 1: al new Florida head coach, talking about his quarterback battle
- 4:40Speaker 1: between Aaron Filo and Trammel Jones Junior.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Well, let's not cast.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Any shade on these guys before they've ever done anything
- 4:51Speaker 1: for Florida really, but the comment is they don't have
- 4:57Speaker 1: to be Tim Tebow. Florida hasn't had a Tim Tebow
- 5:04Speaker 1: since Tim Tebow, so of course they don't have to
- 5:08Speaker 1: be Tim Tebow. I mean they ran they basically, Florida
- 5:14Speaker 1: had a guy that they thought was going to be,
- 5:19Speaker 1: you know, the next coming, and now he's playing for
- 5:23Speaker 1: the Baylor Bears.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So you don't know.
- 5:30Speaker 1: What the future holds other than you know, probably one
- 5:35Speaker 1: of those guys we'll check out.
- 5:39Speaker 2: It's just kind of the way it goes.
- 5:42Speaker 1: But to say that you don't have to be Tim Tebow,
- 5:46Speaker 1: it's certainly good because I would think that you would
- 5:51Speaker 1: just want to find somebody that could be DJ Lagway,
- 5:56Speaker 1: who wasn't terrible for Baylor. I mean for Florida. It
- 6:01Speaker 1: just that you know, had some health issues. But a
- 6:08Speaker 1: two year starter nineteen starts, forty one yards, twenty eight touchdowns,
- 6:16Speaker 1: twenty three interceptions, Well, let's see if the Big twelve
- 6:22Speaker 1: can put out the cornerbacks that can intercept the ball
- 6:26Speaker 1: like that. So I think he'll probably be better at Baylor.
- 6:32Speaker 1: But Florida still trying to find a guy to replace him.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Let's see who else is What's going on is the uh.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros one last night? How
- 6:49Speaker 2: about that?
- 6:51Speaker 9: Now?
- 6:52Speaker 1: The Rangers did it with a tend to nothing victory
- 6:55Speaker 1: and the Astros held on and won five to four.
- 7:02Speaker 1: But no, excuse me, it was not five to four.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Let me go back. I'm thinking of the previous day
- 7:08Speaker 1: where the Astros just held on, but it was ten
- 7:13Speaker 1: to nothing for the Rangers, and the Astros came out
- 7:16Speaker 1: on top with a five to three victory. Josh Hater
- 7:24Speaker 1: got his eleventh save of the year EMI with his
- 7:29Speaker 1: best pitching performance and lowered his ERA to five point
- 7:33Speaker 1: sixty nine for the Astro six and four now, but
- 7:37Speaker 1: he only gave up one run and the time that
- 7:41Speaker 1: he was out there and looked much better for the Rangers.
- 7:45Speaker 1: The Rangers Rocker got the victory three and eight now
- 7:51Speaker 1: with a four point one to three ERA and first
- 7:56Speaker 1: save of the year for Gonzales as the Rangers take
- 8:00Speaker 1: him back over first place from Seattle and the Astros
- 8:06Speaker 1: are three games back. So the Rangers are fifty one
- 8:09Speaker 1: and fifty. The Mariners, who have lost one game now
- 8:14Speaker 1: and lost first place are fifty one and fifty one
- 8:18Speaker 1: and the Houston Astros are now forty nine and fifty four.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Today they will see the Rangers.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Run out Tyler Alexander to match up with Anthony Kaye
- 8:38Speaker 1: against the White Sox. White Sox tied in first place
- 8:42Speaker 1: with Cleveland, so two first place teams going at it,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and then one more game for Houston and Miami Sandy Alcatra,
- 8:52Speaker 1: who's pitching much better this year against Pete Lambert, who's
- 8:55Speaker 1: been the astros most consistent starter. So the Astros are
- 9:00Speaker 1: the favorite tonight and the White Sox are the favorite tonight.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Kind of surprising there, but.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Still a couple weeks from now, the Rangers are going
- 9:12Speaker 1: to host Seattle, I believe, coming up shortly. As let
- 9:19Speaker 1: me take a look at their full schedule coming up here.
- 9:24Speaker 1: They are going to host Seattle after Chicago, so this
- 9:34Speaker 1: last game against the White Sox tonight, then they'll play
- 9:37Speaker 1: four games against Seattle, they'll play three games at leading
- 9:42Speaker 1: Tampa Bay, and then they'll play Houston. So a pretty
- 9:47Speaker 1: tough stretch for the Texas Rangers. For the Houston Astros,
- 9:54Speaker 1: not quite as the same kind of schedule coming up.
- 9:59Speaker 2: As Houston. Who I think we have the game on
- 10:01Speaker 2: it night, don't we.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Let's see here twenty second, Yes, the Astros at six
- 10:06Speaker 1: forty for pregame.
- 10:08Speaker 2: The Astros.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Will finish Miami, then they'll go to the White Sox,
- 10:16Speaker 1: three games with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and
- 10:22Speaker 1: then the Texas Rangers in Houston Friday, July thirty first,
- 10:28Speaker 1: so all these teams starting to play each other a
- 10:30Speaker 1: little bit. The Astros will host Seattle in mid August.
- 10:36Speaker 1: They will they still have to play the Yankees. Three
- 10:41Speaker 1: games at the Yankees followed by three games at New York.
- 10:44Speaker 1: That's a long time in the Big Apple. And then
- 10:48Speaker 1: the Astros have a two game series in September with
- 10:53Speaker 1: Seattle and let's see if they play.
- 10:56Speaker 2: The Rangers again.
- 11:00Speaker 1: They do not, so in the next month the Astros
- 11:04Speaker 1: are going to play all but the two games they
- 11:05Speaker 1: have left between Texas and Seattle. That'll be pretty interesting
- 11:11Speaker 1: to see what happens with that. So but we will
- 11:15Speaker 1: have the Astros report coming up at four forty. It'll
- 11:20Speaker 1: probably break up the time on the podium for Mike
- 11:24Speaker 1: Elcho before we get to the Q and A session,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and then the Rangers reports coming up in five forty,
- 11:32Speaker 1: so that'll be everything we need to see on a
- 11:39Speaker 1: busy day for the Rangers and the Astros. Grab a
- 11:44Speaker 1: couple more headlines before we run to break here. The
- 11:52Speaker 1: Boston Red Sox fifteenth straight win.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I don't know what happened. They're going along great. They
- 11:59Speaker 2: were terrible, just like I had them.
- 12:02Speaker 1: But now they've matched the record for most consecutive wins
- 12:06Speaker 1: in their history, which was nineteen forty six when Ted
- 12:13Speaker 1: Williams came back from World War Two. Now that is
- 12:16Speaker 1: crazy if you haven't done anything since Ted Williams came
- 12:21Speaker 1: back from World War Two. Bobby Wittes is going to
- 12:27Speaker 1: the IL and then one North thing. I think it
- 12:33Speaker 1: was a week and.
- 12:34Speaker 2: A day ago.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Maybe it was two days ago, Maybe it was two
- 12:39Speaker 1: weeks when we had heyesus ortis on and I called
- 12:44Speaker 1: my shot and I thought, I said that. I thought
- 12:46Speaker 1: Spain would beat France in the semifinals and then win
- 12:51Speaker 1: the World Cup. Tremendous football and probably got a lot
- 12:58Speaker 1: of new fans without all the poor play that Portugal
- 13:07Speaker 1: had postmatch, very poor sportsmanship. And then we turn it
- 13:13Speaker 1: around and unfortunately Argentina the exact same way. So it's
- 13:21Speaker 1: very difficult to have something that good get spoiled. But
- 13:28Speaker 1: the opportunity were there for to be even a little
- 13:30Speaker 1: bit better. I didn't think Argentina, other than the magic
- 13:35Speaker 1: of MESSI could do much to to get at Spain
- 13:39Speaker 1: and they couldn't do it. At the time I made
- 13:43Speaker 1: that call, I don't Spain had not allowed a goal.
- 13:46Speaker 1: They allowed one in any match that they played in
- 13:52Speaker 1: the World Cup. And that kind of domination leads to
- 13:56Speaker 1: you being world champs. Kind of reminded me of the
- 14:01Speaker 1: Chicago Bears and their defense in nineteen eighty five. If
- 14:06Speaker 1: you're just so good at it, defense can still go
- 14:11Speaker 1: out there and.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Win you championships.
- 14:14Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna run the break. We're gonna hear
- 14:17Speaker 1: from Chip about it all. Is it a is it
- 14:20Speaker 1: a live spot with Chip on Anco?
- 14:22Speaker 3: No?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Just okay, all right, and.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Then we come back. We'll be waiting to hear from
- 14:27Speaker 1: Tory Vedallas. She is out meeting the press there at
- 14:31Speaker 1: Davis Diamond, getting ready for practice tonight at six o'clock
- 14:36Speaker 1: and getting ready for her Cascade to take on the
- 14:42Speaker 1: Bandits tomorrow night at eight o'clock, when the softobore world
- 14:48Speaker 1: turns their eyes to Brian Collins station, We'll back one more.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Chip Howard Sports Talk after handcoming.
- 14:54Speaker 10: Shirts, It's Scott Clinton and all Willie Wednesday is a
- 14:58Speaker 10: sports country stat Wednesday afternoons at four point thirty on

- 15:40Speaker 13: Mischar Thank you, thank you so much for joining us
- 15:42Speaker 13: with one of the frustrations for me as this effort
- 15:45Speaker 13: to create this villainous perspective like we're the ones that
- 15:49Speaker 13: shouldn't be listened to and we just need a common
- 15:52Speaker 13: sense explanation and so we had ten really ten common
- 15:55Speaker 13: sense issues. That's how it was labeled common sens improvement.
- 15:58Speaker 14: I'm a big fan for that in a bigger The
- 16:00Speaker 14: way I described it was like I said, we need
- 16:03Speaker 14: to write the cores drinking, blue collar h explanation.
- 16:09Speaker 5: That's my history.
- 16:11Speaker 13: I mean, yeah, I grew up with the fathers a welder.
- 16:14Speaker 13: So let's just not the lawyers and legislators write this.
- 16:18Speaker 13: Let's just be really clear on like we want everybody
- 16:21Speaker 13: to have the same set of rules, not state by state.
- 16:26Speaker 13: That seems a simple principle. It doesn't have to be everything.
- 16:28Speaker 13: It just has to be in key.
- 16:30Speaker 12: Areas XX live weekdays from eight to eleven on the zone.
- 16:51Speaker 1: You can't know home if you're going on the hill.
- 16:53Speaker 15: All the bridge you washed out at the bottom of
- 16:56Speaker 15: the hill, a big greeks up and the little greeks
- 16:58Speaker 15: level blown. Car on with aday longer.
- 17:04Speaker 10: That's all.
- 17:06Speaker 15: That's a little longer, zid the line to singing and
- 17:17Speaker 15: doing the loves.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Welcome back to Chip Howard's sports talk Here on a Wednesday.
- 17:22Speaker 1: It's an all Willie Wednesday, uh, Chip and I listen
- 17:29Speaker 1: to Willie and Talk sports every Wednesday. So even when
- 17:32Speaker 1: he's not here. If it's Wednesday, I'm gonna bring up
- 17:35Speaker 1: to Willie Nelson. Now, some other people may not play
- 17:39Speaker 1: Willie Nelson on Wednesdays, and but that's okay, that's okay.
- 17:45Speaker 1: We are waiting for Tory Vidallas to get done with
- 17:48Speaker 1: some interviews over on campus as obviously it's a popular
- 17:53Speaker 1: time for her with her team and uh them having
- 17:58Speaker 1: an opportunity to get to play at home.
- 18:03Speaker 16: The h.
- 18:09Speaker 1: We are also going to have John Clindon in coming
- 18:14Speaker 1: up in the second hour. He was at Conference USA
- 18:18Speaker 1: Media Days yesterday and I'm gonna have him come on
- 18:23Speaker 1: and we're gonna talk a little bit about sam Houston
- 18:26Speaker 1: State as they get ready to start.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Another season in Conference USA.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I think they're they're like the third most senior team
- 18:36Speaker 1: in Conference USA now, which is kind of hard to believe,
- 18:40Speaker 1: but you know, that's that's where it is that you know,
- 18:45Speaker 1: you can have a situation where that quickly, you know,
- 18:52Speaker 1: with all the movement that's going on, I mean, the
- 18:55Speaker 1: wack has like a completely different name now that this
- 19:00Speaker 1: moving and going in and out of conferences leads to
- 19:04Speaker 1: the fact that, hey, you don't know what the opportunity
- 19:08Speaker 1: is going to be for your team going forward, but
- 19:11Speaker 1: you're still in one of those leagues where it gives
- 19:15Speaker 1: you an opportunity if you can win the Power Five,
- 19:20Speaker 1: that you can go out there and maybe have a
- 19:23Speaker 1: shot at the playoffs if you can be good enough
- 19:27Speaker 1: and you can earn that one spot. So that'll be
- 19:32Speaker 1: something that we'll talk about coming up in our number two.
- 19:35Speaker 1: We're a week away from the NFL training camps for
- 19:39Speaker 1: the Dallas Cowboys to open. You know, if they had
- 19:42Speaker 1: opened today instead of a week from today, I would
- 19:47Speaker 1: have been it would been great to hear Jerry Jones
- 19:50Speaker 1: lie about stuff because you know he would be opening
- 19:54Speaker 1: his mouth, so lives would have come out a lot
- 20:00Speaker 1: of talk about is it now or never for.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Dak Prescott, And the interesting.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Thing is it's never, and I don't mean never that
- 20:17Speaker 1: they're going to win. It's never that as long as
- 20:21Speaker 1: the contract.
- 20:22Speaker 2: He has.
- 20:25Speaker 1: And how quarterback play is so important in the league,
- 20:30Speaker 1: he ain't going anywhere.
- 20:33Speaker 2: How many years left he got on this deal there five.
- 20:37Speaker 17: I think he'll be a free agent after twenty twenty nine, yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 17: twenty eight, twenty eight, okay, so not going anywhere anytime soon,
- 20:50Speaker 17: and he'll get resigned by the Cowboys.
- 20:52Speaker 1: At that point in time, you don't let quarterbacks get away.
- 20:58Speaker 1: More proof, not only did the Seattle let their quarterback
- 21:05Speaker 1: get away, they go from being a Super Bowl contender
- 21:13Speaker 1: with I'm speaking of the Minnesota Vikings to hey, we're
- 21:16Speaker 1: going to give it to basically a rookie, a guy
- 21:19Speaker 1: hadn't played any and Seattle goes and wins the whole trophy.
- 21:22Speaker 2: They win the Super Bowl and then they get sold
- 21:25Speaker 2: for nine.
- 21:26Speaker 1: And a half billion dollars billion. But blah blah b
- 21:29Speaker 1: a billion dollars. They went out and got a good quarterback.
- 21:35Speaker 1: And that's just how this league is now. Question marks abound.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I don't think that the Houston Texans are going to
- 21:46Speaker 1: make a change at quarterback because he was bad in
- 21:52Speaker 1: playoff games. That's only reserved for the Dallas Cowboys. It
- 22:03Speaker 1: doesn't really matter about you know, if CJ. Stroud can
- 22:09Speaker 1: or can't do it or whatever, because there's the Texans
- 22:14Speaker 1: and you're not going to carry the cachet of being
- 22:18Speaker 1: the Texans quarterback outside of Greater Houston that you are
- 22:23Speaker 1: when you're the Dallas Cowboys quarterback. Now, Davis Mills played
- 22:28Speaker 1: pretty good football last year, so here's a guy who
- 22:39Speaker 1: beat Buffalo, beat Tennessee, beat Jacksonville, and then lost to Denver.
- 22:50Speaker 1: So he put that team, gave them enough offense on
- 22:55Speaker 1: a defensive minded football team to advance, but they couldn't
- 23:01Speaker 1: win if you didn't have good offense. The flip side
- 23:05Speaker 1: of the coin was the Dallas Cowboys, who I should
- 23:09Speaker 1: call him the Alice Cowboys because there was no d
- 23:12Speaker 1: in Dallas last year. So the Texans need to be
- 23:16Speaker 1: better offensively and the Cowboys need to be better defensively.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Is it easier to do one or the other. It
- 23:24Speaker 1: might be easier to improve your defense than it is
- 23:30Speaker 1: to improve the offense. Because I don't think that CJ.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Stroud is bad, and I think that's why, you know,
- 23:39Speaker 1: he gives you an opportunity that you can forget the
- 23:46Speaker 1: playoff game, because that playoff game was as about a
- 23:53Speaker 1: poor performance as you would could see in the playoffs.
- 24:00Speaker 1: But he's also like in year three, the instantaneous gratitude
- 24:06Speaker 1: and need for guys to be perfect. You come along
- 24:11Speaker 1: and it's like, hey, are you going to be able
- 24:19Speaker 1: to get it done? You're good as a rookie. Now
- 24:23Speaker 1: two years later, you're not getting it done. Well, there
- 24:27Speaker 1: still need to be some growth, You need to have
- 24:32Speaker 1: some patience, but he needs to be better next year
- 24:36Speaker 1: because quarterback in the NFL is as close to, you know,
- 24:42Speaker 1: the most important position in any sport, besides maybe the
- 24:47Speaker 1: starting pitcher, the number one pitcher for the Dodgers in
- 24:53Speaker 1: the playoffs, quarterback is it. You get the ball every
- 24:59Speaker 1: single snap. All right, we're gonna go to break right
- 25:04Speaker 1: now because when we can get Tory on, we want

- 29:06Speaker 22: Came this a good hearted wom I love that.
- 29:16Speaker 1: So Willie Wednesday here on Ship Howard Sports Talk. We're
- 29:19Speaker 1: waiting for uh, have Tory Vedallas come on? And obviously
- 29:23Speaker 1: TV and the press assembled out at David Diamond of Uh.
- 29:28Speaker 1: You know they've they've got probably the same kind of
- 29:30Speaker 1: questions that I want to ask her about getting to
- 29:32Speaker 1: come home. So, uh, we're gonna do a little bit
- 29:35Speaker 1: of a pivot. We're gonna hear from Marcell Reid today
- 29:37Speaker 1: at SEC Media Days, and then when we can get
- 29:40Speaker 1: Tory on, we will jump right to that. So here
- 29:44Speaker 1: is uh Aggie quarterback Marcel Reid.
- 29:48Speaker 22: Legal Hagingy mpt up Sports Draft Nation here in Tampa. Obviously,
- 29:53Speaker 22: team goals are at the top of your list. What
- 29:55Speaker 22: individual goals do you want to meet so those team
- 29:58Speaker 22: goals happen.
- 30:01Speaker 23: I want to go up and uh you know, passing
- 30:04Speaker 23: touchdowns and rushing touchdowns definitely ours, and completion percentage as well.
- 30:08Speaker 23: I think all that being said, I need I need
- 30:11Speaker 23: to eliminate the turnovers for sure.
- 30:14Speaker 3: It's been talked about and I know it. It's obvious.
- 30:17Speaker 23: So just that eliminated turnovers for myself and not making
- 30:20Speaker 23: bad plays worse front rule.
- 30:23Speaker 5: Chest Bouche with NBC thirty three in Baton Rouge.
- 30:26Speaker 24: Marcel, you've just absolutely dominated l s U pass almost
- 30:30Speaker 24: two games.
- 30:31Speaker 5: What works so well for you against L.
- 30:33Speaker 23: S U My legs, Uh no, but Elis is a
- 30:40Speaker 23: good team. But you know I have I have confidence
- 30:44Speaker 23: going in every game and it's fun getting being able
- 30:47Speaker 23: to play in a in a scene like that death Valley.
- 30:51Speaker 23: Get to go back this year. But you know there's
- 30:54Speaker 23: a new coach there now, I got some new players,
- 30:56Speaker 23: so we'll see.
- 30:56Speaker 3: How this one goes.
- 30:58Speaker 5: Right side and then passed it.
- 30:59Speaker 25: Up Rsel Alex Miller with the Brian College Station Eagle.
- 31:02Speaker 25: You talk about improving statistics. I'm curious if there's one
- 31:05Speaker 25: stat in particular that you guys really harp on as
- 31:07Speaker 25: quarterbacks at A and M.
- 31:10Speaker 23: I think completion percentage just kind of a universal one
- 31:13Speaker 23: for quarterbacks, and I think that's an important one to me,
- 31:17Speaker 23: you know, taking those for sure, for sure passes and
- 31:20Speaker 23: not passing them up for maybe it's just something that's
- 31:23Speaker 23: really important for me this year rowing the pass at
- 31:26Speaker 23: one back Andy Marcel Noah grossrom KEKs and how do
- 31:29Speaker 23: you describe the frustration of the final two games and
- 31:33Speaker 23: last season and maybe how they kind of fueled you
- 31:35Speaker 23: guys here heading into this fall. Yeah, definitely a frustrating
- 31:42Speaker 23: last two games, losing to Arrival and then losing the
- 31:44Speaker 23: first round of the playoffs.
- 31:45Speaker 3: It's not fun.
- 31:46Speaker 23: But I wouldn't say it's too much fuel because you
- 31:52Speaker 23: can't really take anything from last season and in this season.
- 31:54Speaker 23: But you know, there were two good teams and we
- 31:59Speaker 23: were a good team. But you know, the people we
- 32:00Speaker 23: had last year aren't the same people we have this year.
- 32:02Speaker 23: And I think we've had some improvements over the offseason.
- 32:05Speaker 23: We've got a new OC, I got a new quarterback coach,
- 32:08Speaker 23: So just continue to develop having that experience now and
- 32:13Speaker 23: just growing in my own character in my own way
- 32:15Speaker 23: of playing football. I think is going to be a
- 32:18Speaker 23: change this year for sure.
- 32:19Speaker 26: Snack Bruin pass at one back Justin Patrick Fox Sports
- 32:23Speaker 26: Radio Offens Colt, Florida, and going off those last two
- 32:25Speaker 26: games with the year, it just seemed you hit a wall,
- 32:27Speaker 26: like you just couldn't move the ball the same way
- 32:29Speaker 26: you had all year. So for you personally, what'd you
- 32:32Speaker 26: take from those games and what did you what were
- 32:34Speaker 26: you missing during those last year performances.
- 32:37Speaker 23: Yeah, just like how you said it, we weren't able
- 32:40Speaker 23: to move the ball, couldn't get the ball on the
- 32:42Speaker 23: end zone. I think we had maybe one or two
- 32:44Speaker 23: possessions in the Texas game where we could really move it.
- 32:48Speaker 23: Other than that, we were punting almost every possession. And
- 32:51Speaker 23: then Miami game, we moved it slightly well, got it
- 32:56Speaker 23: down the red zone a couple of times, but everybody
- 32:58Speaker 23: knew how the win was in that game. And uh
- 33:00Speaker 23: there's some misfield goals from both both ends, so you know,
- 33:04Speaker 23: couldn't really capitalize on that. But it was an unfortunate event,
- 33:07Speaker 23: and yeah we lost and got to move on from it.
- 33:11Speaker 26: Left side on the Ailford row Tyler Shall with KP
- 33:14Speaker 26: ticks and brand culture station.
- 33:15Speaker 27: You said earlier with confidence, you know, you feel like
- 33:17Speaker 27: you are one of the best quarterbacks in the nation.
- 33:19Speaker 5: How important is it to you to have that kind
- 33:21Speaker 5: of mindset? And then do you believe that you know
- 33:24Speaker 5: this team can go as you go?
- 33:27Speaker 23: Yeah, I mean, I think it's really important to have
- 33:28Speaker 23: that mindset. If you don't, you shouldn't be playing in
- 33:31Speaker 23: uh in in the country, you could shouldn't be playing
- 33:34Speaker 23: in college football, you shouldn't be playing the SEC. So
- 33:36Speaker 23: I've always had that confidence growing up. I've always played
- 33:40Speaker 23: with guys older than me, so I've never been afraid
- 33:42Speaker 23: of anybody. I've never been afraid of a name. I
- 33:44Speaker 23: always go out there and know what I'm capable of
- 33:45Speaker 23: and play the game that I love. So yeah, I
- 33:48Speaker 23: think I'm always gonna have this this confidence. I'm never
- 33:51Speaker 23: gonna let anybody tell me I can't do anything. And
- 33:54Speaker 23: I think this team's gonna be, this team's gonna go.
- 33:58Speaker 23: Yet obviously where I'm gonna like where I'm gonna be.
- 34:01Speaker 23: I think, you know, being a captain, now I have
- 34:04Speaker 23: a voice that these people are going to follow. And
- 34:06Speaker 23: then we have four other ones as well who have
- 34:09Speaker 23: done a great job this offseason of speaking up and uh,
- 34:12Speaker 23: just being able to lead this team and we have
- 34:15Speaker 23: the players to go do it.
- 34:17Speaker 3: We just have to buckle down and be consistent this.
- 34:19Speaker 5: Year third rule and then pass it one back.
- 34:23Speaker 28: Corey mos ABC Sports in Austin Marshall, I just want
- 34:26Speaker 28: to ask about something you mentioned earlier and having a
- 34:28Speaker 28: new OC, new quarterbacks coach. What's been the biggest transition
- 34:31Speaker 28: since losing coach Kline and is there something that he
- 34:33Speaker 28: may have taught you.
- 34:34Speaker 3: That you're still utilizing to this day.
- 34:36Speaker 23: Yeah, it hasn't been a crazy transition. You know, going
- 34:40Speaker 23: into every single offseason there's an install and everything, so
- 34:43Speaker 23: you got to learn new things every single year. But
- 34:45Speaker 23: I think the change this year was just, uh, you know,
- 34:47Speaker 23: we changed up our verbiage a little bit, and you
- 34:51Speaker 23: know that's always how it goes. People get your numbers,
- 34:53Speaker 23: so you gotta you gotta change it up every single year.
- 34:55Speaker 23: But yeah, nothing really jurassically different. I'm in the room
- 35:01Speaker 23: with coach Wiggins and my quarterback coach, coach Lynch a
- 35:04Speaker 23: lot this offseason, just trying to pick their brains a
- 35:07Speaker 23: little bit, let them pick mine, and so we're on
- 35:09Speaker 23: the same page. When it comes to each and every
- 35:12Speaker 23: weekend this year. So really excited for It's still gonna
- 35:15Speaker 23: be explosive, It's still gonna have a really great offense.
- 35:18Speaker 29: So yeah, looking forward to it. Stuck and rolling the
- 35:21Speaker 29: left then pass it up Donovan Bridge for t XA
- 35:24Speaker 29: and twenty four News. You guys are heavy favorites in
- 35:27Speaker 29: week one. What will you guys learn about yourselves in
- 35:29Speaker 29: that game? I think, you know, we'll learn a lot.
- 35:33Speaker 29: That's that's definitely like the We'll get the jitters out
- 35:36Speaker 29: in that game. No matter who the opponent is, we
- 35:39Speaker 29: still have to go out there and execute. So you know,
- 35:43Speaker 29: we're gonna see all the preparation that came through winter,
- 35:46Speaker 29: spring and summer and fall camp come out in that game,
- 35:50Speaker 29: and that'll tell you a lot about you know, I
- 35:53Speaker 29: think how the season's gonna go and definitely what we're
- 35:57Speaker 29: gonna have to clean up going into the weeks after.
- 36:00Speaker 5: Fourth row in the Aisle Travistonvill ESPN.
- 36:04Speaker 27: Austin Marcel, what are you most excited about with the
- 36:07Speaker 27: new offense this year and what do you see as
- 36:11Speaker 27: the biggest hurdle.
- 36:14Speaker 23: I'm really excited to get the bottom our receivers again.
- 36:18Speaker 23: We have some really good guys outside returning guys Ashton
- 36:22Speaker 23: about the Roman, Mario Craver and Terry Bussey, and then
- 36:26Speaker 23: Isaiah Horton coming in being that big X receiver is
- 36:30Speaker 23: a good pickup from the portal. I don't think there
- 36:34Speaker 23: is a you know, bro block or speed bump anything
- 36:37Speaker 23: in our offense. I think we have a lot of guys,
- 36:40Speaker 23: uh you know, O line might be what people talk about,
- 36:42Speaker 23: but we have our returning center who's been a center
- 36:45Speaker 23: for us for five years now and he understands the game.
- 36:50Speaker 23: He's been in Coach Cush's offense before, so he's able
- 36:55Speaker 23: to help out the people around him. And then we
- 36:56Speaker 23: also have some experience SEC guys that came in through
- 37:00Speaker 23: out the portal. So I think we're gonna be just fine.
- 37:03Speaker 23: There's nothing that really, you know, concerns me going into
- 37:06Speaker 23: the season. I'm just really excited to get play.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Front row here.
- 37:09Speaker 16: Marself traps from kpt X, your first quarterback to represent
- 37:13Speaker 16: A and M here since twenty nineteen. And Kellen, what
- 37:15Speaker 16: does does that mean something to you? And does it
- 37:17Speaker 16: mean something to you to be kind of stability in
- 37:20Speaker 16: a position that has been a little bit unstable for
- 37:22Speaker 16: the agg he's for almost a decade.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it means a lot.
- 37:25Speaker 23: Whenever you're a coach, uh, you know, it takes you
- 37:28Speaker 23: to do something to represent the team and yourself. I
- 37:30Speaker 23: think it's really important. And I'm also you know, representing
- 37:33Speaker 23: my family.
- 37:34Speaker 3: My faith.
- 37:36Speaker 23: You know, without God, I wouldn't be here at all.
- 37:37Speaker 23: So yeah, just happy to be in this position for sure.
- 37:41Speaker 23: As well as getting the captain's badge. I mean that's
- 37:43Speaker 23: something that you're coaching. Your teammates, you know, give you credits.
- 37:46Speaker 23: So yeah, I think I've worked to be in the
- 37:49Speaker 23: position that I'm in, and you know, this is just
- 37:53Speaker 23: the proof of what I put in.
- 37:54Speaker 16: For it for sure.
- 37:56Speaker 24: On the right third row, Hey, Abby Miller, the reflector
- 37:59Speaker 24: from Mississippi State.
- 38:00Speaker 5: The transferp has grown its popularity over the years. But
- 38:03Speaker 5: you chose to stay at Texas A and M Why
- 38:05Speaker 5: was that?
- 38:06Speaker 23: I don't think there was a reason for me to leave.
- 38:09Speaker 23: You know a lot of people, you know, may have
- 38:12Speaker 23: things outside of football that they got to worry about.
- 38:16Speaker 23: And you know, with nil nowadays, you know people will
- 38:20Speaker 23: leave for money and stuff, or the coaching situation might
- 38:23Speaker 23: not be good. But I think that you know, when
- 38:26Speaker 23: Elko came in. I saw his vision and I saw
- 38:29Speaker 23: that what he wanted to do with the program. So
- 38:31Speaker 23: I chose to stay then, and then Klin coach Klin
- 38:35Speaker 23: left took his job, which I respect because it's his
- 38:38Speaker 23: alma mater and he's want to be a head coach.
- 38:39Speaker 23: So Coach Wiggins is somebody that I've known about. He
- 38:43Speaker 23: coached a lot of good players at Alabama, so trusted him.
- 38:47Speaker 23: And then coach Lynch, who's my quarterback coach now, always
- 38:50Speaker 23: had a relationship with him while he was at Vanderbilt
- 38:52Speaker 23: being the offensive coordinator there. I went to school about
- 38:56Speaker 23: six minutes away from Vanderbilt, so known him for a
- 39:01Speaker 23: long time, got to understand him, come become close with
- 39:04Speaker 23: him and his family. So there's no reason for me
- 39:06Speaker 23: to leave. I had everybody that I needed in my corner.
- 39:10Speaker 23: And you know, like I said, I love my team,
- 39:13Speaker 23: I love College Station. There's there's no reason for it
- 39:15Speaker 23: to happen. So yeah, final question on the end, Mark,
- 39:19Speaker 23: So back here.
- 39:20Speaker 30: John Sokoloff the w G and O TV in New Orleans,
- 39:23Speaker 30: I want to ask you about your new left tackle,
- 39:25Speaker 30: Tyree Adams.
- 39:26Speaker 5: What have been your early impressions of him?
- 39:28Speaker 30: So far and what kind of you know, contribution or
- 39:31Speaker 30: a difference do you think he can make for the
- 39:33Speaker 30: Aggies and this offensive line.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Yeah, Tyree is I mean very light on his feet,
- 39:38Speaker 3: which I think is really good for a tackle.
- 39:39Speaker 23: He moves really well. He has the link, he has
- 39:42Speaker 23: the hands, and we joke around all the time. That's
- 39:45Speaker 23: one of my favorite guys. Tyree is awesome. Really excited
- 39:49Speaker 23: that he came to join Aggie Land and you know
- 39:52Speaker 23: he's gonna he's gonna protect me this year.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I know that for sure. He protects me in the
- 39:57Speaker 3: locker room. So really excited to have him on my side.
- 40:02Speaker 1: All right, that's the Aggie quarterback Marcel Reid as he
- 40:06Speaker 1: met the media today. We're going to hear from mikel.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Coe today as we are in a pretty good spot
- 40:16Speaker 1: today to hear the coaches. So when we returned, we
- 40:21Speaker 1: were going to hear a little bit of Kaylin de
- 40:23Speaker 1: Boor and we will break into that once we are
- 40:29Speaker 1: able to get former Aggie All American Tory Valdez on
- 40:33Speaker 1: the phone line as well. So more ship Hower sports

- 43:02Speaker 9: The Houston Astros have now won back to back games
- 43:05Speaker 9: against the Marlins, with last night being a five to
- 43:07Speaker 9: three victory. Houston started the game on the right foot,
- 43:10Speaker 9: with Jeremy Pania leaving the yard to lead off the
- 43:12Speaker 9: bottom of the first and Lucas Spence added another run
- 43:15Speaker 9: in the second with an RBI double. The Marlins did
- 43:18Speaker 9: cut into the deficit playing one in the fifth, but

- 44:42Speaker 6: All right.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Welcome back to Chip Howards Sports Talk here on a Monday.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I'm sorry and all Willy Wednesday. As we get ready for.
- 44:54Speaker 33: As we tax it a.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Listen in on Kaitlin de Boor the Alabama head coach
- 45:03Speaker 1: who lost their starting quarterback, their leading rusher, three of
- 45:09Speaker 1: their top four wide receiver targets, including one of them
- 45:13Speaker 1: who's here at Texas A and M. Six of their
- 45:15Speaker 1: top seven linemen, including one of them who's here at
- 45:20Speaker 1: Texas A and M. And he's got problems because he's
- 45:26Speaker 1: not Nick Saban. But the biggest problem is when you
- 45:31Speaker 1: didn't have a running back, you could average two point
- 45:33Speaker 1: eight yards of carry after contact and you average four
- 45:38Speaker 1: point one yards a carry on any rushing play not
- 45:42Speaker 1: counting sacks, you can't run the football. Alabama fans notice,
- 45:48Speaker 1: has Kaitlin de Borr noticed?
- 45:50Speaker 34: Hey, Caitlyn Jonathan Hoppey with WBrC in Birmingham, you mentioned
- 45:54Speaker 34: tried to up the physicality for the upcoming season. What
- 45:58Speaker 34: has that process looked like the off season and how
- 46:01Speaker 34: do you hope to see that play out in the fall.
- 46:02Speaker 27: Yeah, I think there's special I want to say. I
- 46:04Speaker 27: think there's a lot of physicality within our team. I
- 46:07Speaker 27: think there's just areas where it can be seen and
- 46:11Speaker 27: felt more. And I think again a lot of it
- 46:14Speaker 27: has to do with execution, but we have a lot
- 46:15Speaker 27: of physical players, you know. Right now, the things you're
- 46:18Speaker 27: controlling are the bodies, right, the explosiveness, the strength that
- 46:26Speaker 27: guys have, and that's where our guys are really. I
- 46:29Speaker 27: think there's a part earlier this season where we were,
- 46:32Speaker 27: or earlier in the winter where we were, you know,
- 46:35Speaker 27: kind of coming together with a lot of new faces
- 46:37Speaker 27: and understanding you know, where we were truly at. And
- 46:41Speaker 27: I think we not only have we closed the gap,
- 46:43Speaker 27: I think we've started to separate ourselves from what, at
- 46:47Speaker 27: least a number standpoint, what that's supposed to look like
- 46:49Speaker 27: and has looked like with past teams, whether it be
- 46:53Speaker 27: here or just our experiences of understanding what teams look
- 46:56Speaker 27: like across the country.
- 46:58Speaker 5: Coach w ff s B came tmos Dad. The quarterback
- 47:01Speaker 5: room obviously a big question this offseason. How is it
- 47:04Speaker 5: looking for you right now? And just having that competition
- 47:06Speaker 5: between those two guys.
- 47:07Speaker 27: Yeah, between Austin Mack and Keilan Russell, two guys that
- 47:10Speaker 27: we have a lot of confidence in.
- 47:13Speaker 5: They both have a lot of similarities.
- 47:16Speaker 27: I think probably when you look at their effectiveness as
- 47:18Speaker 27: a passer, I think things that they don't have, or
- 47:23Speaker 27: just the number of reps in game experiences, and so
- 47:26Speaker 27: there's a lot of things that are similar about them.
- 47:28Speaker 27: Their styles are going to be a little different, right,
- 47:31Speaker 27: You got six at least six to six, and you
- 47:34Speaker 27: know Keelan's not sure, he's six', three so they're both taller.
- 47:38Speaker 27: Quarterbacks austin probably a guy who knows the offense inside and.
- 47:45Speaker 5: Out we're trying to make sure he doesn't make it
- 47:47Speaker 5: and overthink.
- 47:48Speaker 27: Things not that he, is but just making sure that
- 47:52Speaker 27: he eats it simple like like he can and execute
- 47:55Speaker 27: play fast with his teammates And KEELAND i think has
- 47:58Speaker 27: come a long. Ways you, know him knowing and he's
- 48:01Speaker 27: made the comment him knowing what he knows now compared to.
- 48:03Speaker 5: What you know a year, ago and that's. Expected you,
- 48:07Speaker 5: know that's expected from both ends of it and what
- 48:09Speaker 5: you see in each. Guy stay on the front, row,
- 48:13Speaker 5: hey Coach Lindsay bonnard W aka out Of. Montgomery kind
- 48:16Speaker 5: of picking off backing off that first.
- 48:18Speaker 24: Question about the, physicality what do you say to the
- 48:21Speaker 24: naysayers and maybe also to people that Say alabama's.
- 48:24Speaker 5: Not the standard in THE sec?
- 48:25Speaker 16: Anymore what do you say to those people to silence
- 48:28Speaker 16: them and, say you, know we are still the standard.
- 48:30Speaker 5: Here, WELL i mean for us and this team this,
- 48:33Speaker 5: year we have to go out and we have to
- 48:35Speaker 5: get the job. Done we got to go out and prove.
- 48:37Speaker 27: IT i think you can look back to last year
- 48:40Speaker 27: and you don't just accidentally win seven out of eight
- 48:42Speaker 27: games in the, league go to a conference, championship win
- 48:45Speaker 27: a playoff game on the road without having a resiliency of,
- 48:50Speaker 27: toughness both mental and physical toughness about. You but we
- 48:55Speaker 27: understand also that there's an expectation that is different At
- 48:59Speaker 27: alabama and we signed up for.
- 49:01Speaker 5: That we're all about, that and we want to continue to.
- 49:05Speaker 27: Push to make sure that we reach the expectations that
- 49:08Speaker 27: we have first of all, internally AND i think that
- 49:10Speaker 27: will help everyone, else that, is the diehards and our
- 49:15Speaker 27: fan base appreciate what these guys are, doing the work
- 49:17Speaker 27: they're putting, in because they are definitely doing. That these
- 49:21Speaker 27: are guys that have high, character that want it, bad
- 49:24Speaker 27: that want to.
- 49:25Speaker 5: Continue to carry on the tradition of the program here
- 49:28Speaker 5: At alabama on the front row triggered in With way
- 49:31Speaker 5: thirty one In.
- 49:31Speaker 30: Huntsville just where have you Seen brian mature over the
- 49:35Speaker 30: last three years since coming in as a seventeen year old.
- 49:37Speaker 27: Freshman the maturity that he had in that he had
- 49:41Speaker 27: when he came in far exceeded WHAT i could have.
- 49:45Speaker 27: Imagined BUT i think the experiences that you just naturally
- 49:50Speaker 27: go through are what have led him to being able
- 49:53Speaker 27: to take the next. Steps you, know it's easy when
- 49:56Speaker 27: it's going, well but you know when you have, adversity
- 50:00Speaker 27: and especially when you're highlighted like he, is you, know
- 50:05Speaker 27: there's there's JUST i, mean we're all, human, right and,
- 50:08Speaker 27: uh you, know him being able to stay strong continue
- 50:13Speaker 27: to focus on what he needs to improve, on but
- 50:16Speaker 27: what he can control is just so. Impressive and, uh
- 50:20Speaker 27: you know one thing that he's just been able to
- 50:22Speaker 27: do this year that it wasn't because he wasn't trying
- 50:25Speaker 27: to do a year. Ago but between being healthier this
- 50:28Speaker 27: year in the off season and also understanding his body
- 50:32Speaker 27: better and actually a year older, too you, know he's
- 50:36Speaker 27: put on some weight AND i think that's, helped.
- 50:40Speaker 5: You, know in a lot of different. WAYS i think
- 50:41Speaker 5: helps with your, confidence helps with.
- 50:43Speaker 27: Your you, know your your your ability to, move your
- 50:46Speaker 27: ability TO i think it's going to help with his
- 50:48Speaker 27: ability out there in the field from a physicality standpoint.
- 50:51Speaker 27: Too and so he's just worked extremely. Hard he's been
- 50:55Speaker 27: as he's been as locked in as you could ever.
- 50:57Speaker 27: IMAGINE i help our people appreciate that about, him because
- 51:02Speaker 27: there are a lot of eyeballs on.
- 51:03Speaker 5: Him he signed up for, It he's great with, it
- 51:06Speaker 5: he embraces.
- 51:07Speaker 27: It he gives him his everything he has to his,
- 51:09Speaker 27: teammates he gives everything he has to the people that
- 51:12Speaker 27: he comes in contact.
- 51:13Speaker 5: With you, KNOW i just love the. Guy i'm so
- 51:17Speaker 5: glad he's on our.
- 51:18Speaker 35: Side row Coach Whipman Clark todd one hundred point. Nine
- 51:22Speaker 35: it's safe to say with the run, game it is
- 51:24Speaker 35: one part offensive, line one part running. Back which half
- 51:28Speaker 35: of the run game have you seen the most improvement
- 51:30Speaker 35: out of throughout?
- 51:31Speaker 27: SPRINGBALL i would say the most. Improvement it's there's a
- 51:37Speaker 27: there's there's pieces to. IT i THINK i would add
- 51:39Speaker 27: in there the tight ends as, WELL i think can
- 51:42Speaker 27: really change what your run game or can help add
- 51:45Speaker 27: change to the change of your run. Game and Guys Caleb, Edwards, Marshall,
- 51:50Speaker 27: Pritchett Josh, ford guys like that who are a year.
- 51:54Speaker 27: Older caleb was just coming to us a year, ago
- 51:57Speaker 27: And alson gets thrown on the football. Field took some
- 52:00Speaker 27: reps all season, long But marshall understands things and his
- 52:04Speaker 27: physicality is.
- 52:05Speaker 5: Greater josh brings that.
- 52:07Speaker 27: Demeanor getting back to your, QUESTION i would, say you,
- 52:11Speaker 27: know all of our running backs haven't had a chance
- 52:13Speaker 27: to take those, reps mainly due to just injury status
- 52:18Speaker 27: that you, know AN ej in, Particular but there are
- 52:22Speaker 27: certainly things Like Daniel hill just body transformation because he's
- 52:28Speaker 27: been healthier this, Offseason Kevin riley continuing to grow and get.
- 52:32Speaker 27: BIGGER i think those areas have, happened BUT i would
- 52:36Speaker 27: say that the offensive line is the area Where i've,
- 52:39Speaker 27: seen you, know just us improving. Again we got to
- 52:43Speaker 27: go out there and improve.
- 52:44Speaker 5: It our guys know.
- 52:45Speaker 27: That but right, now all we can do is focus
- 52:47Speaker 27: on where we're, at and that's the summer. Months these
- 52:50Speaker 27: guys putting in the work. Individually we put the pads
- 52:52Speaker 27: on here in just a couple of, weeks rowing that
- 52:55Speaker 27: pass it.
- 52:55Speaker 5: Over, Okay Ryan fowler tied one point nine In.
- 52:58Speaker 26: Tuscaloosa, coach we talk a lot about different, positions BUT
- 53:01Speaker 26: i want to ask you to break down your special.
- 53:03Speaker 5: Teams, kicker, punter and return. Specials, yeah kicker.
- 53:07Speaker 27: Between talty And Lorcan, QUINN i think we GOT i,
- 53:11Speaker 27: know we have talented, players AND i think uh and
- 53:15Speaker 27: And connor is an extremely talented.
- 53:17Speaker 5: Player he's just uh you, know consistency at times.
- 53:21Speaker 27: And again he MADE i think the harder kicks at
- 53:23Speaker 27: times throughout the, year which shows his ability level and
- 53:26Speaker 27: also his, uh his his his ability from a mental
- 53:31Speaker 27: standpoint to. Recover and now he's just really honed in
- 53:35Speaker 27: on on making sure that, uh you, know he's more
- 53:38Speaker 27: consistent and. Steady lorcan uh has all the tools as,
- 53:41Speaker 27: well distance. Accuracy he's, Older, UH i can't say he's
- 53:48Speaker 27: got more experience uh being in stadiums like he's gonna
- 53:51Speaker 27: face in THE.
- 53:52Speaker 5: Sec SO i think that's gonna be something that he'll
- 53:55Speaker 5: have to work.
- 53:55Speaker 27: Through but both of THEM i feel have that ability
- 53:59Speaker 27: and AND, uh, well you know we'll have, one you,
- 54:02Speaker 27: know a guy that can get the job.
- 54:03Speaker 5: Done the punter situation will be. New you, know we
- 54:06Speaker 5: got some some guys Between Adam, WATFORD, Uh.
- 54:11Speaker 27: Alex And anderson that are all guys THAT uh have
- 54:16Speaker 27: have legs that can get the job. Done and then you,
- 54:19Speaker 27: know from a long snapper, standpoint we have a good
- 54:21Speaker 27: competition there and guys that are more than capable to get.
- 54:24Speaker 36: The job done Prob as, coach you mentioned the quarterbacks
- 54:31Speaker 36: are both capable and your coaching conversations through the, years
- 54:35Speaker 36: have you ever discussed playing two quarterbacks and has that
- 54:40Speaker 36: been something you may?
- 54:41Speaker 5: Consider and if, not why? NOT I i can't say
- 54:46Speaker 5: that we've intentionally gone. In you've had.
- 54:49Speaker 27: Injuries you've had uh times where guys maybe during a
- 54:54Speaker 27: season have at some point maybe five weeks IN u
- 55:00Speaker 27: just there comes a point where you know another guy
- 55:04Speaker 27: or change needs to. Happen that happened one. TIME i
- 55:09Speaker 27: REALLY i think it's best done when you have one
- 55:12Speaker 27: guy taking the snaps. Consistently But i'm not Gonna i'm
- 55:17Speaker 27: not gonna say that if we don't have a different, way,
- 55:21Speaker 27: uh that it was a failure and that it wasn't
- 55:23Speaker 27: done and handled. PROPERLY i think we've done a great,
- 55:26Speaker 27: job you, know doing what we can to, track to,
- 55:30Speaker 27: push to, evaluate to.
- 55:32Speaker 3: Teach.
- 55:33Speaker 27: Uh at the same, Time, uh these guys and so, ideally,
- 55:37Speaker 27: yeah we want to have the same quarterback start to.
- 55:39Speaker 27: FINISH i think you just from a leadership, standpoint it's
- 55:43Speaker 27: more comfortable that. Way guys know what to, expect both
- 55:46Speaker 27: the quarterback and the guys around, him you.
- 55:50Speaker 5: Know but we'll, see we'll see what happens as we
- 55:51Speaker 5: go through the both fall camp and the.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Season All, right That's kaitlin De boor and the guy
- 55:59Speaker 1: there Places Nick saban was always going to be up.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Again there's just no way around. It and the questions
- 56:09Speaker 1: will continue if he's going to get the job done
- 56:12Speaker 1: done or. Not tell you somebody who gets the job
- 56:15Speaker 1: done every. Time That's David Gardner's. Jewelers here's CHIP.
