- 1:14Speaker 4: And we live out here in the desert. We have
- 1:16Speaker 4: cameras around the house. Plus every window, every door is alarm.
- 1:20Speaker 4: In addition, I an old lady, I wear a panic
- 1:24Speaker 4: button around my next day and night. Why if I
- 1:27Speaker 4: fall down here in my apartment is the side of
- 1:29Speaker 4: their house. I press the button, they come and rescue me,
- 1:33Speaker 4: or the fire department comes and rescues me. How come,
- 1:36Speaker 4: Nancy with the sick old lady? You know you don't
- 1:39Speaker 4: have any of these precautions.
- 1:40Speaker 1: That's a good point. Do you have an Apple Watch?
- 1:43Speaker 4: I do not have because I can't. I have on
- 1:45Speaker 4: a landline, I can't may have low vision marks navigate
- 1:49Speaker 4: the Apple Oh the good.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Thing with the Apple Watch if you fell, it will
- 1:53Speaker 1: automatically call for help.
- 1:54Speaker 4: It knows you for Okay, all right, that's better than
- 1:57Speaker 4: what I have. I could wear it in the shower.
- 2:00Speaker 4: You know what my son said to me when I
- 2:02Speaker 4: told Michael wearing in a shower. He said, he feels
- 2:05Speaker 4: so sorry for any fireman got to see me naked
- 2:07Speaker 4: in the shower.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I bet you a million firemen have seeing you naked
- 2:12Speaker 1: through the coming.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Who you're kidding now, you know, Mark, I'm in the shower.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I know I have to worry about falling. I have
- 2:19Speaker 4: to worry about being naked in the shower.
- 2:21Speaker 1: All right, you're making everybody sick. You got to stop.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Id kidding.
- 2:26Speaker 2: No.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You know the good thing about that Apple Watch if
- 2:28Speaker 1: you fall, take a real fall, it will automatically call
- 2:32Speaker 1: for help.
- 2:33Speaker 4: I know it's better than what I have because I
- 2:35Speaker 4: can knock myself unconscious and then I can't pressure.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Yeah, well the Apple Watch would call. In fact, if
- 2:40Speaker 1: you take a big fall, it says it's going to call,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and unless you stop it, it makes the call. All right, Mara,
- 2:46Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Well, let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 2:49Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark, that's Mike. I forget the context. On
- 2:55Speaker 2: Monday you mentioned mrv Griffin and Mike Douglas and got
- 2:58Speaker 2: me thinking about those two great old shows. You know,
- 3:01Speaker 2: they were on the air between the two of them
- 3:03Speaker 2: like forty five years and I went to IMDb and
- 3:06Speaker 2: was looking up there guest list. It's unbelievable. I mean,
- 3:09Speaker 2: from Jackie Mason, that Jane Fond, Charles Nelson, Wiley, I mean,
- 3:12Speaker 2: Mike Douglass had John Lennon co host with him for
- 3:15Speaker 2: a week, which is you know, in today's day and age,
- 3:18Speaker 2: you couldn't have a more diametrically opposed at least looking
- 3:21Speaker 2: you know, characters, Mike Douglas and John Lennon and also
- 3:25Speaker 2: people forget that Dinah had a show back then.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Day was on. Yeah, you know, I was talking about
- 3:31Speaker 1: Di Cavot once about this because he was famous for
- 3:33Speaker 1: having the biggest names in the world, names nobody else
- 3:36Speaker 1: could get, like Katherine Hepburn and Marlon Brando and orson,
- 3:40Speaker 1: all these unbelievable and he said, this is a couple
- 3:42Speaker 1: of years ago. He said, he can't do it today
- 3:45Speaker 1: because who would those names be today. There's nobody today
- 3:48Speaker 1: that's a big star to everybody.
- 3:50Speaker 2: It's true.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like Bad Bunny, he's a big, big star.
- 3:53Speaker 1: He's the hottest selling recording yardist, but half the population
- 3:57Speaker 1: never heard him. And right, so the star that everybody
- 4:01Speaker 1: would know or want to hear right now, there isn't
- 4:03Speaker 1: There isn't.
- 4:04Speaker 2: As much social media. They don't really have to do
- 4:06Speaker 2: those things.
- 4:07Speaker 1: You know.
- 4:07Speaker 2: That's the other thing, you know. You know, back in
- 4:09Speaker 2: the day, even Jane Fine had to go on the
- 4:11Speaker 2: Mert Griffin Show to get you know, you know, a
- 4:13Speaker 2: movie talked about or whatever.
- 4:15Speaker 1: She was like, yeah, that's the other thing. You used
- 4:17Speaker 1: to go on those shows. You had to plug something.
- 4:18Speaker 1: But right, yeah, all right, Mike, thanks for calling. It's
- 4:22Speaker 1: a big problem today because they take right here at iHeart.
- 4:26Speaker 1: We have the five, six seven biggest radio stations in
- 4:29Speaker 1: the world right here on this floor now. Right over
- 4:32Speaker 1: there's Power one oh five Breakfast Club, and down there
- 4:35Speaker 1: is Light FM, and over there is the Z one hundred,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and they each have the biggest names for their audience
- 4:40Speaker 1: coming up here every morning to do these shows. But
- 4:43Speaker 1: for these three stations don't know who the hell those
- 4:46Speaker 1: guests are down there because it's not their format. They
- 4:49Speaker 1: don't know those artists, and down there they don't know
- 4:52Speaker 1: who's on this station because it's all splintered. There's nobody again.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Bad Bunny is this big because you can get he's
- 5:00Speaker 1: the biggest music star in the world. But when he
- 5:02Speaker 1: suddenly shows up at the Super Bowl, you know, sixty
- 5:05Speaker 1: percent of America don't know who the guy is. It's
- 5:09Speaker 1: the same thing with well and everything. Even television. Nobody
- 5:13Speaker 1: watches the same show. Every time you talk to oh,
- 5:15Speaker 1: have you been watching Royal Palm? And I don't know
- 5:19Speaker 1: what it is. You're not watching it. Every time they
- 5:21Speaker 1: tell you about a TV show, you never heard of it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You know, if this free years ago, everybody watched Seinfeld
- 5:27Speaker 1: talked about it. The next day, everybody watched Cheers. But
- 5:31Speaker 1: if you took the ten top biggest streaming shows today,
- 5:35Speaker 1: eighty percent of America's never seen them and they don't
- 5:37Speaker 1: even know what they are. It's and you can't just
- 5:40Speaker 1: watch them. You know, when they tell you got to
- 5:41Speaker 1: watch this series, I do. You've got to watch it. Okay,
- 5:45Speaker 1: how many it's twelve seasons, but you got to start
- 5:48Speaker 1: from the beginning. You must watch from the beginning. Who
- 5:50Speaker 1: has time to watch all this stuff? Hey, the president
- 5:53Speaker 1: of Netflix was under fire. Oh no, it's the president
- 5:59Speaker 1: of Instagram. Because they have this algorithm where they train
- 6:03Speaker 1: you to keep watching, like they just waste all your time,
- 6:06Speaker 1: keep watching and it's ruining kids. And he testified. He said,
- 6:11Speaker 1: it's the same as Netflix or any streaming service. It's
- 6:14Speaker 1: just binge watching. It's not our algorithm. People are in
- 6:17Speaker 1: the habit of just binge watching. They just can't stop anymore.
- 6:20Speaker 1: They're not disciplined, like the said, Well, it could be,
- 6:22Speaker 1: but hey, you know who will ask. We'll ask Ronda Sheer.
- 6:24Speaker 1: She'll be with us next, the great TV star, fashion star.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Nobody better on social media will get to Ronda Sheer
- 6:31Speaker 1: next on seven to ten wor
