- 0:47Speaker 4: The Sports Shock Show. I'm the sport Shock Wayne Gandy.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Happy New Year. If I haven't seen you, you know,
- 0:54Speaker 4: I carry that a little longer than others, you know,
- 0:56Speaker 4: when I see people. Uh, it's a little running joke
- 0:59Speaker 4: you use for the first couple of weeks of the
- 1:02Speaker 4: year if it's my first time encountering you. So, if
- 1:04Speaker 4: this is the first time you tuned in to the
- 1:06Speaker 4: show this year, which is our second show of twenty
- 1:11Speaker 4: twenty five, good morning to you and happy twenty twenty five.
- 1:16Speaker 4: The NFL season has come to an end for the
- 1:22Speaker 4: regular season, and now we get to what they call
- 1:26Speaker 4: Super while Card Weekend, and all that means is they
- 1:30Speaker 4: have dragged the game into next Monday night. As simple
- 1:35Speaker 4: as that it's the same big Mac. They're just using
- 1:41Speaker 4: chicken patties, that's all. And it's still you know, it's
- 1:46Speaker 4: just not to all beef patties. It's two mystery meat
- 1:50Speaker 4: chicken parts on the sesame seed bond, that's all it is.
- 1:56Speaker 4: It's the same thing, and they just call it the
- 1:58Speaker 4: chicken Big Mac. But it's wildcard super Wildcard. We can.
- 2:02Speaker 1: We gotta stress that.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Well.
- 2:04Speaker 4: They're just gonna drag the Vikings and the Rams game
- 2:07Speaker 4: next Monday night in La. What a game last night
- 2:13Speaker 4: between two division opponents and the Lions and the Vikings
- 2:18Speaker 4: in the NFL did a great job of learning that
- 2:24Speaker 4: the one way to keep a lot of fans engaged
- 2:28Speaker 4: in a last week scenario is to put a lot
- 2:34Speaker 4: of division opponents together. That means rivalry, that means views,
- 2:40Speaker 4: even regardless of the record. People will tune in to
- 2:44Speaker 4: division games, regardless of the record, a lot of times
- 2:47Speaker 4: you can get that view, so you can kind and
- 2:50Speaker 4: I think that's going to be the format they're going
- 2:52Speaker 4: to continue to use create as many Yesterday it was
- 2:56Speaker 4: the Commanders versus the Cowboys, it was Packeders versus the Bears,
- 3:01Speaker 4: Lions versus the Vikings, the Bucks, New Orleans, Falcons, Panthers,
- 3:11Speaker 4: and on and on and on around the league. It
- 3:14Speaker 4: was a lot of division at Jets, Dolphins. It looked
- 3:18Speaker 4: like all around they tried to create as many might
- 3:21Speaker 4: have been all of them when I look at it,
- 3:22Speaker 4: I haven't really thought to look at all of the games,
- 3:25Speaker 4: but it seems that the ones that's what eight nine
- 3:29Speaker 4: games right there, we're all division games, which makes people
- 3:32Speaker 4: come out because regardless of the record, someone like the Broncos,
- 3:38Speaker 4: you put the Broncos versus the Raiders, you get people
- 3:41Speaker 4: out because that's the vision game. They want to see
- 3:43Speaker 4: the Chiefs. You know, the Chargers want to beat the Chiefs.
- 3:46Speaker 4: They're division champs. So we will see how this playoff goes.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Already the coaching carousel had before I get it that
- 3:58Speaker 4: a couple of tipping my hat too. I like to
- 4:01Speaker 4: salute the Saints and the Panthers. Yesterday the Panthers did win,
- 4:09Speaker 4: but both teams played to win. Both teams played with
- 4:13Speaker 4: a lot of excitement. You know, both of those games.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Remember in those scenarios, whoever if the Bucks lose and
- 4:24Speaker 4: the Falcons win and the Falcons was engaged, I think
- 4:28Speaker 4: someone because I was at that game, someone right before
- 4:31Speaker 4: overtime told them the Bucks won, and on that drive
- 4:35Speaker 4: they were it looked like they were just trying to
- 4:36Speaker 4: get the game over let them score. But until then
- 4:40Speaker 4: it was back and forth. It was body both body
- 4:42Speaker 4: blow for body blow. But both teams when I watched them,
- 4:47Speaker 4: because they had the they had the Bucks Saints game
- 4:52Speaker 4: on the television while the Falcons and the Panthers are playing,
- 4:57Speaker 4: so you was sitting there able to see what both
- 5:00Speaker 4: of them. But both teams playing hard. And another tip
- 5:04Speaker 4: of my cap to that Detroit Lion helmet last night?
- 5:08Speaker 4: Wasn't that thing Cole That Matt Black? I mean that
- 5:12Speaker 4: Matt powdered Blue. Somebody even call the guys from they
- 5:16Speaker 4: don't call.
- 5:16Speaker 1: The listen man.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Since you guys aren't busy for the rest of the season,
- 5:22Speaker 2: can you help us out over here? Let us borrow
- 5:25Speaker 2: that machine does those helmets? Yeah, that was a nice
- 5:31Speaker 2: helmet last night. So kudos to the Lions and that
- 5:36Speaker 2: hell mint. But the playoffs get to start. Black Monday,
- 5:40Speaker 2: as they used to call it. You don't really hear
- 5:42Speaker 2: about it too much, which is typically the Monday after
- 5:45Speaker 2: a season is over for coaches getting fired started yesterday
- 5:50Speaker 2: with Gerrod Mayo four one thirteen, first year up in
- 5:55Speaker 2: New England. I mean Big Kenny is here. I mean,
- 5:59Speaker 2: come manchie greg is in the studio today as well.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Big Kenny says that on the radio into the studio
- 6:08Speaker 2: today the local radio here one of the announcers, and
- 6:13Speaker 2: Big Ticker is the voice of the Falcons, and he
- 6:19Speaker 2: is the voice of He's the actual game in game
- 6:23Speaker 2: voice of the Hawks. He's kind of like the music
- 6:28Speaker 2: for the Falcons. You said he alluded to that Gerard
- 6:33Speaker 2: Mayo was fired because he lost them the first pick.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Let's start there. Now, how does a coach lose you
- 6:46Speaker 2: the first pick by winning a game? Well, had they won,
- 6:52Speaker 2: what was the coach supposed to do to make sure
- 6:55Speaker 2: they lost?
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I'm not sure.
- 6:57Speaker 4: He started the backup quarterback wreck the third guy. Yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 4: the guy there, I didn't even know his name and
- 7:03Speaker 4: I didn't other other than.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Smack a ball. How somebody's saying or or trip a guy.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I'm saying, you hear people make that statement, but the
- 7:12Speaker 2: coach made them lose their pick by and and go
- 7:17Speaker 2: ahead with your statement.
- 7:18Speaker 4: I'm saying, how do you how do you play something
- 7:20Speaker 4: like that or a coach, do you think. And I've
- 7:23Speaker 4: been on some some sorry losing teams. I can confess that,
- 7:28Speaker 4: like I spent fifteen years and uh probably eleven of them,
- 7:34Speaker 4: we're on teams that were never going anywhere. But even
- 7:40Speaker 4: in those kind of situations, there is no the coach
- 7:45Speaker 4: doesn't come in there and tell you some speech and hey,
- 7:49Speaker 4: we're gonna go out on the field today, command you.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Look, I want you to go out there and lose
- 7:54Speaker 1: this game. Don't you give me no effort?
- 7:56Speaker 2: And sir, I don't want people out here to think
- 7:59Speaker 2: that I'm dismissive with gathering information.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He didn't allude to this, said this quote unquote.
- 8:08Speaker 2: And that was the last part that the first part,
- 8:10Speaker 2: first part with this which which confused me even more
- 8:14Speaker 2: than the second part, because the second part is always
- 8:17Speaker 2: the easiest part to try to put in a story,
- 8:24Speaker 2: especially in sports, right, But the first part where he
- 8:27Speaker 2: was like, well, all I can do is replace all
- 8:29Speaker 2: the starters. Yeah, I got to give him a play,
- 8:32Speaker 2: well every thirty thirty seconds, I got to give him
- 8:36Speaker 2: a play to run, yes, and hope and hope they
- 8:39Speaker 2: operate like backups today. That's that's so in the second.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Part of Big Tigger statement alluded to the firing with
- 8:48Speaker 4: centered around that Gerard Mayo was black.
- 8:54Speaker 1: No, no, that is incorrect. If he did not allude
- 8:57Speaker 1: to it. He said that's to say legit.
- 9:00Speaker 2: No, no, he quoted quoting because he said it like
- 9:04Speaker 2: vert batim, like they lost the first round pick by
- 9:09Speaker 2: winning the game, and his melanated complexion. So they got
- 9:14Speaker 2: the black man out of there, and they'll probably hire
- 9:19Speaker 2: the white guy Vrabel, who used to be a Patriot.
- 9:22Speaker 2: And the only reason I bought it up once I
- 9:27Speaker 2: arrived at studios because one I never really listened to
- 9:31Speaker 2: radio because they say stuff like that on it.
- 9:33Speaker 1: And two, no one else in media.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Could say that, even no one white could say that,
- 9:40Speaker 2: even about that situation. They could never say, no, he
- 9:43Speaker 2: got fired because he was black.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Well, I would say that draw Meo is a true Patriot.
- 9:50Speaker 4: He's a gentleman who played for the Patriots. His coaching career,
- 9:55Speaker 4: from where he started to where he ended up this
- 9:58Speaker 4: year as the head coach, has been through the Patriots organization.
- 10:02Speaker 4: He was a position coach, then he was the DC,
- 10:05Speaker 4: then they made him the head coach. The Patriots people
- 10:09Speaker 4: are saying it's not the Patriots.
- 10:10Speaker 1: What that is what they do.
- 10:12Speaker 4: The Patriots have also fired other guys that they have
- 10:16Speaker 4: promoted up within a year, And when we come back
- 10:21Speaker 4: from break, we'll talk about some other coaches that are
- 10:22Speaker 4: on the hot seat.
- 10:23Speaker 1: But Mike Rabel.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Most likely was the guy they wanted to get last year.
- 10:32Speaker 4: And Mike, Mike just wanted to catch a breath for
- 10:36Speaker 4: a second, like you see a lot of coaches doing now,
- 10:40Speaker 4: like a Sean Payton when he left the Saint j
- 10:44Speaker 4: he went, let me breathe for a second and then
- 10:46Speaker 4: I'll go back. But Rabel, and I wouldn't be surprised
- 10:50Speaker 4: if Rabel don't doesn't put Mayo back at DC.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Well, if that's what he wants to do, now, No,
- 10:56Speaker 2: how come he just can't be Somebody was like, I know,
- 10:58Speaker 2: y'all not gonna keep great kool aid, and then they
- 11:00Speaker 2: were like, no, we ain't gonna keep great.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Then the Carolina Panthers fired Fred Fred right, Frank right,
- 11:06Speaker 4: Frank right, like fourteen games into the season last year.
- 11:10Speaker 4: And then the Broncos fired their coach about two years ago,
- 11:13Speaker 4: like on Game ten.
- 11:16Speaker 1: But what's something like that? What was he your brother? No,
- 11:20Speaker 1: he was a coach Frank Frank Rank is white. But
- 11:26Speaker 1: we'll be back to sports right after this mute. You
- 11:31Speaker 1: need to backing the cap free. You're beating me. Yeah until.

- 13:17Speaker 9: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 13:20Speaker 9: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 13:22Speaker 9: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 13:26Speaker 9: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 13:29Speaker 9: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 13:32Speaker 9: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 13:35Speaker 9: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 13:39Speaker 9: a positive. I knew I needed more tools in my
- 13:42Speaker 9: toolbox to take care of these little girls that had
- 13:45Speaker 9: just lost their mother. It's time for me to be
- 13:48Speaker 9: that father that I knew I could be. I think
- 13:50Speaker 9: just being that good role model as well. That model's
- 13:54Speaker 9: good behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 13:57Speaker 9: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 14:00Speaker 9: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 14:03Speaker 9: and watching your kids be happy.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Never stop being a dad. That's dedication. Find out more

- 14:19Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job. Wayne Gandy.
- 14:24Speaker 7: The Jock of the Day is sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA
- 14:27Speaker 7: dot com The sleep you deserve at a price you
- 14:29Speaker 7: can afford. No, no, no, Now it's time to present
- 14:33Speaker 7: the Jock of the Day on the Sports joction.
- 14:35Speaker 11: It's taken it to a completely different level.
- 14:38Speaker 2: This year where we highlight an appolyte that has taken
- 14:41Speaker 2: their game to the next level.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Sports Socks show.
- 14:59Speaker 4: This boy shock, Wayne Gann'll like to tell y'all who's
- 15:03Speaker 4: the news. Stop reporting things that are obvious. Hey, they
- 15:10Speaker 4: reported they called a second Homeland Security agent over in
- 15:14Speaker 4: Utah selling drugs that had been seized as evidence.
- 15:19Speaker 2: And I was like, what what is going A minute? Wait,
- 15:22Speaker 2: a minute, hold on sports jock. I'm unwilling to believe
- 15:27Speaker 2: that the man who was charged with watching the drugs
- 15:31Speaker 2: that nobody was going to be aware of but him,
- 15:34Speaker 2: because he's watching the drugs put to himself, Wow, drugs
- 15:39Speaker 2: are loocrit him. Maybe I'll take these drugs that nobody's
- 15:44Speaker 2: watching but me and sell them.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Oh I laughed. There was the money caught the second guy,
- 15:50Speaker 1: the first guy. I must have told Tony, they got us.
- 15:55Speaker 1: What do you mean, I'm all the way out in Utah,
- 15:58Speaker 1: you down there in Miami. What you mean they got us?
- 16:01Speaker 1: It's a scheme that we we we launched.
- 16:03Speaker 2: The game in every border movie and that's made about
- 16:09Speaker 2: the border, the custom agent that's dirty.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And we've all known a dirty custom agent. Am I right?
- 16:17Speaker 1: Am I right? We've all every movie, we've all known
- 16:21Speaker 1: a dirty custom major. Yeah. I mean people have made
- 16:24Speaker 1: careers of writing these man.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Everybody everybody know that guy. Everybody know that guy. I'm
- 16:30Speaker 2: telling you, everybody know the dirty border age. Everybody know
- 16:34Speaker 2: the dirty t s A guy. We all know that guy.
- 16:37Speaker 1: They have to exist.
- 16:38Speaker 4: They've been written about too many, too many, too many
- 16:41Speaker 4: times not to exist.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, some people get those jobs just so we can
- 16:47Speaker 2: get stuff through airports. A Super wild Card Weekend for
- 16:52Speaker 2: the NFL coming on starts off on Saturday. I want
- 16:56Speaker 2: to ask questions about Super wild Card Weekly, superco Super
- 16:59Speaker 2: Super kind of like the Super wall marks. Right now,
- 17:03Speaker 2: we've we've seen super uh affixed to something so many
- 17:09Speaker 2: times and it be just the regular stuff.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Why we keep falling for Super?
- 17:14Speaker 4: Why do we keep falling for the same reason that
- 17:17Speaker 4: Coke keeps redesigning the can and pouring the same thing
- 17:21Speaker 4: in it.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And we're go get the band New Coke and the
- 17:25Speaker 1: Cobalt blue.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Christmas time they put Santa Claus on.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It and we got audition, Yeah, adition Coke? Okay, because
- 17:34Speaker 1: I mean when they say super you like that. But like, yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 1: I mean it's the same bud like sec Edition, you know.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And when you drink that, Yeah, when you drink that,
- 17:48Speaker 2: when you drink that Razor back beer, it has a
- 17:50Speaker 2: certain su wee, trust me, trust me, it has a
- 17:55Speaker 2: certain sue uh.
- 17:57Speaker 4: So Super wild Card Weekend, we were talking about coaches
- 18:01Speaker 4: being fired and we both agree. Gerrard Mayo he was
- 18:08Speaker 4: on my list to bring up today anyway without it
- 18:12Speaker 4: having to do anything with racism and more of the
- 18:15Speaker 4: direction of the team. A lot of teams, the trend
- 18:19Speaker 4: has been finding offensive minded head coaches when you have
- 18:25Speaker 4: a young quarterback. That's the kind of the direction that
- 18:31Speaker 4: you have seen to be the trend. Uh, if you
- 18:34Speaker 4: don't already have a top notch offensive coordinator, like the Lions.
- 18:39Speaker 4: How many times over this year have you heard their
- 18:42Speaker 4: offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is really only still there because
- 18:46Speaker 4: that's where he wants to be, right He's been offered
- 18:49Speaker 4: head coaching jobs for the last couple of years. He
- 18:51Speaker 4: just wants to be and win. I guess with this
- 18:54Speaker 4: Lion's team, but that's what they want to do. They
- 18:58Speaker 4: want to and that's why I said with the Raiders
- 19:02Speaker 4: and Antonio Pierce, he's in the same to which situation
- 19:05Speaker 4: is a Gerard Mayo? If we're gonna draft this quarterback
- 19:11Speaker 4: with the whatever pick they had, I think that what
- 19:14Speaker 4: they have, like third fourth pick they pick.
- 19:17Speaker 1: They've gone to number four. They went from number one
- 19:20Speaker 1: to number.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Four, Yeah, which still puts them valuable for number one
- 19:25Speaker 4: or two ranked quarterback.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was reported this morning that's way different.
- 19:31Speaker 2: One in four is way different.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Well, you usally can get Shader Sanders or cam Ward Yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 4: which neither.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I don't think there's something.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Gonna be somebody gonna start on day one, as you feel,
- 19:42Speaker 4: is the unicorn the great players. They put up some
- 19:46Speaker 4: big numbers, but you don't have that unicorn feeling right
- 19:50Speaker 4: now about them. But in that case, a lot of
- 19:56Speaker 4: times they like to put a head coach that has
- 19:59Speaker 4: an offense of mine, Yes, Denver with Sean Payton, Yes,
- 20:05Speaker 4: bo Nick's kind of situation, even if you get them
- 20:08Speaker 4: the year before. In your mind, okay, I'm gonna get
- 20:10Speaker 4: me a high round quarterback. I don't need an offensive
- 20:13Speaker 4: minded coach to go with them. So I would say
- 20:18Speaker 4: Antonio Pearce is on the hot seat. I wouldn't be surprised. No, No,
- 20:23Speaker 4: I wouldn't be surprised.
- 20:24Speaker 2: And I just thought that that comment this morning was
- 20:26Speaker 2: a little bit short sighted and that there's a lot
- 20:30Speaker 2: of opposing evidence that that just.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Doesn't befall UH coaches of color.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I know, And most coaches don't get to the end
- 20:41Speaker 2: of the season to get fired, you know. Robert sla
- 20:45Speaker 2: he got fired on his way to the locker room
- 20:48Speaker 2: for the half. Like you know, they played the first
- 20:50Speaker 2: half and then he was on his way and they
- 20:53Speaker 2: no hold on, sir, sir, let us talk.
- 20:55Speaker 4: To The Saints fired their coach mid season this year, right.
- 21:02Speaker 1: In the shower. This dude we had. He was in
- 21:06Speaker 1: the shower with the team about to get coaches.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Those coaches don't count. Some people got didn't even get
- 21:12Speaker 2: to Thanksgiving. Oh, that's what I'm saying. They were already fired,
- 21:16Speaker 2: already fired.
- 21:18Speaker 5: So that's it.
- 21:19Speaker 1: And that's how I got fired game I think seven.
- 21:21Speaker 4: And that's why I remember the Denver coach that one
- 21:25Speaker 4: year they hired him to come out there with Vic
- 21:28Speaker 4: Vangio or something. In about week ten he was, he
- 21:33Speaker 4: was out of there. They fired him with like four
- 21:36Speaker 4: more years of his contract. It was some That's what
- 21:39Speaker 4: I'm saying.
- 21:39Speaker 1: They be getting them out of there and paying them
- 21:41Speaker 1: to leave.
- 21:41Speaker 2: So they fired jimbo Fisher for Texas and m right
- 21:45Speaker 2: after they just gave him an extension, did like hours.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Like the EQ still drive all the contracts.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Right he was. He was celebrating his extent when they
- 22:00Speaker 2: called him and fired. They were out to dinner celebrating
- 22:03Speaker 2: the extension and they were like, hey man.
- 22:06Speaker 1: About that. We don't rethink o. We were we were
- 22:11Speaker 1: tooling some numbers. I take the seventy million and listen,
- 22:15Speaker 1: it's not you. He thought they thought he thought they
- 22:17Speaker 1: were pranking him. Yeah, gotta be a prank. I know
- 22:20Speaker 1: you're not gonna give me seventy million to leave, to leave,
- 22:24Speaker 1: we'll be back right. They take that kind of money
- 22:27Speaker 1: and lead tatous.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Want to fight me, man, because I came up over night,
- 22:39Speaker 6: John Boy, Wayne Board of the sports John Hill with
- 22:42Speaker 6: Wayne Gambias coming up next.
- 22:46Speaker 12: Ever tried balancing a dozen eggs in one hand, or
- 22:48Speaker 12: hopping on one foot, or maybe juggling cats while riding
- 22:51Speaker 12: the unicycle. Sounds ridiculous, right, but guess what. That's exactly
- 22:56Speaker 12: what texting while driving is like. Your human brain only
- 22:59Speaker 12: has the capacity to focus on one thing at a time,
- 23:02Speaker 12: So when you're behind the wheel, give driving your undivided attention.

- 23:50Speaker 14: care at fifteen years old.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Her life was full of uncertainty.
- 23:55Speaker 14: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 24:00Speaker 15: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 24:03Speaker 15: I had this hole in my heart and I never
- 24:05Speaker 15: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 24:08Speaker 15: my mom asked to adopt me, that hole was closed.
- 24:11Speaker 15: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 24:13Speaker 15: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 24:16Speaker 15: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I am whole.
- 24:22Speaker 15: I'm finally enough, just as I am.

- 24:49Speaker 1: And now back to the sports, John Wayne Gandy in
- 24:57Speaker 1: the RADZ. You got this.
- 25:19Speaker 16: Then we go left and then we go right, and
- 25:22Speaker 16: then we go left, and then we go right, and
- 25:25Speaker 16: then we go left and then we go right, and
- 25:29Speaker 16: then we go left.
- 25:30Speaker 1: And then we go right, and then we got up. No,
- 25:34Speaker 1: that's how they do it at the game. Welcome back
- 25:40Speaker 1: to this the Morning, Morning, Morning Show.
- 25:50Speaker 2: It's the Morning Show, Early morning, early early, think a
- 25:55Speaker 2: little earlier than that early morning Sunday. Just came out
- 25:58Speaker 2: just scared. I want to show you're putting bags and stuff,
- 26:04Speaker 2: illegal stuff. You're gonna be out there with that Utah.
- 26:08Speaker 17: Security.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Come on, man, y'all put on swag server and then
- 26:11Speaker 1: you expect from like it ain't a bag of out
- 26:15Speaker 1: in the building. Are we pretending now? Is that what
- 26:20Speaker 1: we're doing?
- 26:20Speaker 2: In twenty twenty five, we have alfle grape and orange
- 26:24Speaker 2: juice specific here the strange we got apple grape man
- 26:28Speaker 2: orange juice and passion fruit dragon breath.
- 26:33Speaker 4: But good morning till you command you, Greg, I have
- 26:36Speaker 4: him playing the sounds of Atlanta. Yes, I went to
- 26:40Speaker 4: the Atlanta game yesterday against the Panthers. The Panthers won
- 26:44Speaker 4: in overtime. A good game, Bryce Young Uh, finally starting
- 26:48Speaker 4: to look like he was draftable, still hasn't gotten too.
- 26:54Speaker 4: I was the number one pick, but he is looking like, Okay,
- 26:57Speaker 4: they drafted him one round. He got drafted in kind
- 27:01Speaker 4: of play. But if you've never been to an Atlanta
- 27:06Speaker 4: sporting event, and I don't care whether it is the
- 27:08Speaker 4: Falcons Hawks, it could be the PGA Championship over in
- 27:14Speaker 4: East Lake. They're gonna swag and surface.
- 27:17Speaker 2: And I was going to say, is the Atlanta Saturn
- 27:21Speaker 2: game dream game?
- 27:23Speaker 1: No matter where you go, it's they gonna party.
- 27:26Speaker 4: They're gonna give you a concert.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Is the Atlanta music playlist also attached to an Atlanta mindset.
- 27:36Speaker 2: It seems like there is never for Atlantics. There's never
- 27:42Speaker 2: a bad place to sweat. I mean, hey man, I'm
- 27:45Speaker 2: sorry about your grandmama. Thanks bruh. You know I got
- 27:47Speaker 2: that swag and that right down on the side. We're
- 27:51Speaker 2: gonna miss you, granted swag, it's her and they turning
- 27:56Speaker 2: Aza orange right in gelse. Granny would have understood, you
- 28:05Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. And that's it seems like there
- 28:08Speaker 2: is a a a mindset that goes with the music.
- 28:12Speaker 4: There's something that triggers and that's what we were talking about.
- 28:15Speaker 4: For people who the sound and that's where they not
- 28:18Speaker 4: only grew up, but where they still live. When you
- 28:25Speaker 4: drop certain songs from there, they they own it. And
- 28:30Speaker 4: the song so far that you're playing Comanchi are songs
- 28:34Speaker 4: that the Atlantean. Yes, even if they moved here from
- 28:39Speaker 4: somewhere else where, they have dropped and stopped telling people
- 28:43Speaker 4: I'm from here. They own Atlanta. They've been here so
- 28:46Speaker 4: long because you have an expiration date. You're talking about
- 28:50Speaker 4: you moved here to go to college in eighty seven, right,
- 28:55Speaker 4: and you still here, but you're still telling people you
- 28:58Speaker 4: from Fresno.
- 29:00Speaker 1: No, you've been here forty five.
- 29:02Speaker 17: Nah.
- 29:04Speaker 2: West, I'm so West Coast bro. It must be the
- 29:09Speaker 2: west side the West. Oh, I'm so West Coast bro.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Hello West oh Man Firings. One last thing I really
- 29:20Speaker 2: we've talked about. Antonio appears with the Raiders. Be interesting
- 29:23Speaker 2: to see what happens and all this could happen by
- 29:26Speaker 2: the time of the show. Uhrop Mao is already off
- 29:30Speaker 2: the board.
- 29:31Speaker 9: We have.
- 29:33Speaker 4: Brian Dable with the Giants. One just came through. Okay,
- 29:39Speaker 4: see big Kenny, I'm telling you.
- 29:40Speaker 18: Hold on.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Doug Peterson, Oh yeah, yeah, Doug.
- 29:43Speaker 4: He was back on my chopping ball for the Jags
- 29:47Speaker 4: Doug Peterson experiments.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Do we need to put our that's two years? That's
- 29:53Speaker 1: two years right?
- 29:55Speaker 2: Uh?
- 29:57Speaker 1: Yes, this was the second year there right in Jacksonville.
- 30:01Speaker 19: We might need we might need to do this made
- 30:04Speaker 19: the playoffsky and the last yeh, we might need to
- 30:07Speaker 19: do this like a telethon, like just half people calling
- 30:10Speaker 19: and let us know why.
- 30:11Speaker 1: We're on air.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Who's getting I said within the minute hour and a half,
- 30:15Speaker 2: it's happening, right, It's literally happening right. Yes, in the
- 30:18Speaker 2: morning meeting. Yes, Hey, what's going on this morning?
- 30:21Speaker 20: Mean?
- 30:21Speaker 4: This is where you go in there you getting player
- 30:23Speaker 4: evaluations and exit physicals right now for all the teams
- 30:27Speaker 4: that is not making the playoffs. This is how Monday
- 30:29Speaker 4: morning goes for you. Yeah, have a team meeting with
- 30:33Speaker 4: the coach about this time, because I want to be
- 30:36Speaker 4: right here all day, so we need to It's one
- 30:38Speaker 4: of the few days that coach telling you to meet
- 30:40Speaker 4: start at seven.
- 30:41Speaker 2: He really wanted you to at six because I'll be
- 30:44Speaker 2: gone by as soon as I used to get I'll
- 30:47Speaker 2: be gone BYEP thirteen.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Yeah, by step thirteen.
- 30:50Speaker 4: Especially especially if I'm a free agent now you got
- 30:53Speaker 4: some free agents that don't even come to this meeting.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Really, well, I'm not.
- 30:59Speaker 4: I'm not your property anymore.
- 31:02Speaker 2: But in that in that case though, I'm going, Yeah,
- 31:05Speaker 2: some guys just won't even show up to today, especially
- 31:07Speaker 2: on this Torontald like a like a Tyreek Hill his
- 31:12Speaker 2: interview yesterday after the game, talking about I'm out.
- 31:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't expect he would show up this morning.
- 31:18Speaker 2: What we're talking about, especially if you're gonna get pulled out,
- 31:24Speaker 2: you know.
- 31:25Speaker 19: In this case, like with Gerari Mao, it was it's
- 31:28Speaker 19: gonna be like right after the game, right right when
- 31:32Speaker 19: the clock hit zero, the news came out. So does
- 31:35Speaker 19: it make a real difference whether it's right after the
- 31:39Speaker 19: game or it's, you know, the next morning. Oh well,
- 31:42Speaker 19: typically the coach knows the night after. A lot of
- 31:46Speaker 19: them know the day before. In these situations, Dropped Mayo
- 31:50Speaker 19: being part of the fabric of the Patriots, none of
- 31:56Speaker 19: this is a surprise to him.
- 31:57Speaker 1: He knows how it goes.
- 31:58Speaker 4: He would have went in taking the job knowing it
- 32:02Speaker 4: was a short spoon.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Everything.
- 32:06Speaker 21: You know.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Sometimes it's when you bring an outsider in he's not
- 32:09Speaker 4: already plugged in. Draw Mayo might have taken. That's why
- 32:13Speaker 4: I said you never he might have taken this job.
- 32:16Speaker 4: He was qualified, but it's not necessarily the guy wanted.
- 32:22Speaker 4: But I have such a great relationship with the Crafts.
- 32:25Speaker 4: I'll hold down the ship until we get this thing right.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Ain't no need to going out of blowing another couple
- 32:31Speaker 4: of dollars. We'll just give you a little pay increase
- 32:34Speaker 4: you get us through the next twelve. People for some
- 32:37Speaker 4: reason don't understand that bridge. Sometimes you just got to
- 32:40Speaker 4: bridge some together. Every higher is not really meant to
- 32:45Speaker 4: be the higher that turns the franchise around. You don't
- 32:49Speaker 4: think the Raiders hired Antonio Peers as the guy that
- 32:53Speaker 4: was going to get them back to prominence like you did,
- 32:57Speaker 4: like a John Gruden hiring. I'm not saying that Antonio,
- 33:00Speaker 4: you couldn't do it. I'm saying, but they hired John
- 33:03Speaker 4: Gruton to turn the program around. You know, you not
- 33:06Speaker 4: necessarily hire Antonio Pierce. And Antonio Pierce seems like a
- 33:10Speaker 4: gerroid MAO where he's in with the organization right, not
- 33:15Speaker 4: just he's a you know, some coaches and some staff
- 33:18Speaker 4: members just are always at that team. They never get fired.
- 33:24Speaker 4: They're always they're a team guy right right, corporate guy
- 33:28Speaker 4: the next thing, you.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Know, he's the GM.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, kind of. They run it like that kind
- 33:34Speaker 2: of institution. It's not a revolving door. So we'll find
- 33:39Speaker 2: someplace for your always always.
- 33:42Speaker 1: So if you're not doing good, over.
- 33:44Speaker 2: If the next coach don't want you to go back
- 33:46Speaker 2: to your position, yeah, we'll put you at food and baverage.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll be over something. You'll be over something at
- 33:52Speaker 1: the same at the same pay scale. Yeah.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it ain't like that changes. We'll just let you run.
- 33:58Speaker 2: We'll let you be a team in bass. We'll do
- 34:00Speaker 2: something until the next coach comes by. So we got
- 34:03Speaker 2: Doug Peterson off the board for the Jags.
- 34:05Speaker 22: We have.
- 34:07Speaker 4: Jerrod Mayo off the board for the Patriots. I just
- 34:11Speaker 4: said the Giants haven't fired Dable yet, have they?
- 34:15Speaker 19: That just came through that they are staying Brian Dable
- 34:19Speaker 19: and Joe Shane the GM are staying.
- 34:22Speaker 4: Okay, So the Giants have made their decision, and.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Right now the two of them are standing in a
- 34:27Speaker 2: hallway somewhere at the Giants headquarters, like, man, I can't
- 34:30Speaker 2: believe it either, Bro. They whispering, they whispering. I thought
- 34:35Speaker 2: we would come bro. I thought we would come home.
- 34:37Speaker 2: That is oh man, we're still here. So you have
- 34:40Speaker 2: those anyone else I'm missing any other job that's on the.
- 34:47Speaker 4: That you can really see in question? Uh will it
- 34:51Speaker 4: be the Titans?
- 34:53Speaker 19: Possibly because they got one that's now you know, may
- 34:58Speaker 19: wouldn't go okay if we get a quarterback whatever, we
- 35:01Speaker 19: have a new coach, bring them in the tyan, that
- 35:04Speaker 19: kind of thing. And worre is Cleveland with their coaching.
- 35:08Speaker 19: I read that, Uh he was coming back, Stefanski, Uh,
- 35:13Speaker 19: he'll be back.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Okay, trying to stay a little stable right there for
- 35:17Speaker 4: a minute. Well, when we got two off from one
- 35:21Speaker 4: solidified and a couple of more questions, Mark, we'll see
- 35:23Speaker 4: what happens before the end of the show.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I know a couple of them dudes
- 35:29Speaker 1: who got fired or probably like Man, they kept their
- 35:32Speaker 1: job in New York.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Man, I should have been able to keep my job. Man,
- 35:38Speaker 2: and the Jets have to make a decision on the
- 35:39Speaker 2: head coach. That is a job that's opening. Yeah, I
- 35:42Speaker 2: forget that's already open because they fired their coach. They've
- 35:45Speaker 2: had They interviewed Rex Ryan.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Sexy Red Block, they interviewed Rabel too, and Ron Rivera. Yeah, now, now,
- 35:56Speaker 1: now you like me some sexy Rex if anybody don't
- 36:00Speaker 1: get the job.
- 36:02Speaker 2: And again I'm talking about somebody with some familiarity, know
- 36:05Speaker 2: how to run things, sexy REXI now, but who else?
- 36:11Speaker 1: Who else? Well?
- 36:15Speaker 2: You know Ron too? He two shirt buttons up to
- 36:19Speaker 2: the top. That's that's the problem with Roan Rivera. He's
- 36:22Speaker 2: a football guy that buttons his shirt off. He's a
- 36:25Speaker 2: football guy, but he buttons his shirt.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Up to the top.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Anywhars a tie you know, one of him sport coachs
- 36:31Speaker 2: in the locker room.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Dudes.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Come on, man, you know, come on, man, I don't
- 36:35Speaker 2: know if that's that's not us. I'm saying that's that's
- 36:39Speaker 2: part of the team, but that's not us. And then Vrabel,
- 36:44Speaker 2: you're too You're to New England for you know what
- 36:47Speaker 2: I'm saying. Chowder's red, you're you got red chowder.
- 36:52Speaker 1: We don't know nothing.

- 38:45Speaker 1: Hi.
- 38:46Speaker 20: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generational race car driver, and
- 38:48Speaker 20: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 38:50Speaker 20: fast as possible. My grandpa it was the reason why
- 38:53Speaker 20: my dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud
- 38:55Speaker 20: to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was
- 38:57Speaker 20: diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in
- 38:59Speaker 20: the road for us. I've learned a lot on this
- 39:01Speaker 20: journey with my Grandpa, Lou and the memories of my
- 39:04Speaker 20: Grandpa will always be with me. It's important to notice
- 39:06Speaker 20: if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with

- 39:47Speaker 26: And now back to the sports, John Wayne Gandy between
- 40:11Speaker 26: log one say you can see a sports jaint. I'll
- 40:15Speaker 26: shing even.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Big Janney, welcome back to this one shock show. This
- 40:20Speaker 1: one shock Wayne again.
- 40:22Speaker 4: D We'll get back to the NFL in a minute,
- 40:25Speaker 4: which means that we might be reporting on another coach fire.
- 40:30Speaker 1: In a minute.
- 40:32Speaker 9: Job.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I'm just saying that it's happening so fast in the
- 40:35Speaker 2: matter of good time. Yeah, you know some dudes right
- 40:39Speaker 2: now are head coaches. And then by the end of
- 40:41Speaker 2: this show, but end of the segment, have you looking
- 40:44Speaker 2: for a job?
- 40:45Speaker 4: Derek Rose a big flowers shop opening Roses Flowers Shop.
- 40:50Speaker 4: I don't know it was this a pop up or
- 40:53Speaker 4: is uh something that he is going to continue? Uh,
- 40:57Speaker 4: it was a I saw a couple of pictures. It
- 40:59Speaker 4: was hot in so it looked like it was money
- 41:02Speaker 4: laundering at first, because we do know that the flower business,
- 41:08Speaker 4: they kind of are only the necessity. You ever been
- 41:12Speaker 4: in the flower shop, It's the only thing that's in
- 41:15Speaker 4: there is the flowers, the vases and workers. They don't
- 41:20Speaker 4: have no friends, they don't have nowhere to sit, and.
- 41:22Speaker 2: That's not the flower delivery place. The people just got
- 41:27Speaker 2: like a cash register and some pictures of stuff you
- 41:31Speaker 2: can order. They don't even have the real flowers in there.
- 41:34Speaker 4: But their Rose has been honored, which is surprising to me,
- 41:39Speaker 4: I must say, very surprising. But the Bulls are going
- 41:45Speaker 4: to retire his number from his time playing there the MVP.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Remember he won the MVP in his third season, which
- 41:58Speaker 4: made him the youngest person think to ever win the
- 42:01Speaker 4: m v p uh. But from that point on to
- 42:06Speaker 4: the injury, we didn't really see much of Derek Rose.
- 42:13Speaker 4: And definitely we didn't see much of the their MVP roles. Guys,
- 42:21Speaker 4: where do you see this set? This is not a
- 42:24Speaker 4: hate saying no, no, no, do you see because sometimes
- 42:28Speaker 4: you can see and you can see why a person
- 42:31Speaker 4: got in, you can see why a person didn't get in,
- 42:33Speaker 4: and you can see a person on the fringe. I
- 42:37Speaker 4: always talk about a here. I'm always like a Joe Johnson.
- 42:42Speaker 4: It's one of those guys on the fringe. I can
- 42:44Speaker 4: see why they don't put him in. I can see
- 42:47Speaker 4: why they would based on certain players. You do, did
- 42:50Speaker 4: you think Derrick Rose because the Bulls only have like
- 42:53Speaker 4: four or five retired jersey and now see for their history.
- 42:57Speaker 2: First I see that it was a pop up flower shop, okay.
- 43:00Speaker 2: And the second thing is when I heard they were
- 43:03Speaker 2: retiring his number, first thing I did was question it.
- 43:06Speaker 2: And then I reflected on something that you said often
- 43:09Speaker 2: on this show when it comes to us questioning why
- 43:12Speaker 2: a person gets certain accolades and benefits from an organization,
- 43:18Speaker 2: and I started to go, well, maybe he's around the team,
- 43:22Speaker 2: maybe he does a lot in the community. Maybe it's
- 43:25Speaker 2: one of those intangible things that we don't see. We're
- 43:29Speaker 2: thinking about his performance on the court, and not only
- 43:33Speaker 2: did he have that, but there are so many other
- 43:36Speaker 2: things that come along with it with him in the organization,
- 43:39Speaker 2: because outside of that, I would still have those questions.
- 43:42Speaker 4: Yeah, Rose who was the Chicago native, played eight seasons
- 43:46Speaker 4: with the Bulls, played I think, I want to say,
- 43:48Speaker 4: fourteen seasons overall through the NBA and was the youngest MVP.
- 43:57Speaker 4: A lot of times, when you get your honor with
- 44:00Speaker 4: a team, it's longevity, like a you Donald's haslam if
- 44:09Speaker 4: the Miami Heat announced that, and it's like, why you
- 44:12Speaker 4: should have just took the one off of him four
- 44:15Speaker 4: years before he retired, already been there twenty years, So
- 44:18Speaker 4: it becomes that, or you win championship.
- 44:21Speaker 1: So even though Lebron James was only there like four
- 44:25Speaker 1: or five years, he brought Cleveland.
- 44:28Speaker 4: You can you know Miami, Miami, he's doing retires number
- 44:33Speaker 4: I'm saying, because you had no one would really question
- 44:35Speaker 4: will you bring me championships? Or you was here for
- 44:38Speaker 4: the most of your career kind of thing. It equals
- 44:43Speaker 4: out with Roses eight years, them first three to five
- 44:48Speaker 4: years truly dominating, and then it just became is he
- 44:54Speaker 4: healthy enough to play now?
- 44:56Speaker 2: Now?
- 44:57Speaker 1: Limiting his minutes things like that.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Something that I think is interesting in sports that is
- 45:02Speaker 2: not the same process in other forms of entertainment is
- 45:09Speaker 2: a Derek Rose can come in and in his first
- 45:11Speaker 2: three to five years be a dominant youngest to ever
- 45:14Speaker 2: win the MVP player, and then after that everybody's questioning,
- 45:18Speaker 2: uh is he like he never did any of that
- 45:22Speaker 2: other stuff. These musical artists that we're playing this morning
- 45:26Speaker 2: can come out and make the one hit the Swagserf,
- 45:31Speaker 2: and may be good in people's heart's minds for eternity.
- 45:36Speaker 2: They don't have to prove anything else. All he got
- 45:38Speaker 2: to come up with is the swag surf and we good.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Why isn't that enough for Derek Rose? Like the first
- 45:45Speaker 2: in history of anything is notable and maybe that's reason
- 45:50Speaker 2: enough they feel to retire. So I mean, but here
- 45:53Speaker 2: I am still questioning that.
- 45:55Speaker 4: So well, it just sheffles the debt because each and
- 45:58Speaker 4: every time you do it, just like the end the
- 46:00Speaker 4: hall of fame of any sport, the further you open
- 46:07Speaker 4: the envelope of who you let in, then other people
- 46:10Speaker 4: get to throw their name up on the board. So
- 46:14Speaker 4: now you have someone like a what was his name,
- 46:17Speaker 4: Jocquen Noah, be like, well I was there for fourteen
- 46:22Speaker 4: years or something like, you know that kind of thing.
- 46:26Speaker 4: It becomes a little bit of that. Derek Rowe, I
- 46:30Speaker 4: have no problem, it's just that when it really was
- 46:32Speaker 4: once I saw that they only had four.
- 46:34Speaker 1: People whose numbers retired, wondering why him? I know, Scotty
- 46:40Speaker 1: and Mike, and.
- 46:43Speaker 4: It was one other, the one other, Bob Love and
- 46:46Speaker 4: Jerry Sloan, and Jerry Sloan was the one I knew.
- 46:48Speaker 4: I didn't know Love, but I knew the Sloan.
- 46:50Speaker 1: And I remember Bob Love but had forgotten Jerry Sloan.
- 46:54Speaker 4: So you take that and then you think all the
- 46:55Speaker 4: other people that have come through there, and then we
- 46:57Speaker 4: get to Derek Rose.
- 46:59Speaker 1: It seemed like to make you want to what why
- 47:01Speaker 1: are you?
- 47:03Speaker 2: But that was and again, the only thing that backed
- 47:07Speaker 2: me off of that stance was reflecting on what you said,
- 47:10Speaker 2: a lot of times, with these athletes, it's more than
- 47:13Speaker 2: what they do when they're playing.
- 47:15Speaker 1: And so I attributed lifelong. I mean, he's from from
- 47:18Speaker 1: this and that's what I was.
- 47:19Speaker 4: About to say. The key the last Domino had just
- 47:23Speaker 4: been that he was from Chicago. Yeah, oh yeah.
- 47:25Speaker 1: And now now I'm going to carry this forward in
- 47:29Speaker 1: this area.
- 47:30Speaker 4: It could have been it could have been a totality
- 47:32Speaker 4: of his Yeah, contribution all the way back to high school.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Yeah, could have had their mind.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Hey could have had some folks because it's always it's
- 47:42Speaker 4: always great to have a hometown anything connected to you.
- 47:47Speaker 1: And you know how Chicago politics is. Hey, look y'all

- 51:22Speaker 26: shock Wayne again.
- 51:24Speaker 1: David, can you put that away?
- 51:25Speaker 22: Man?
- 51:25Speaker 4: This is a morning show. I don't know why you
- 51:27Speaker 4: crumbling herbs this morning. We already had breakfast.
- 51:31Speaker 1: You don't need no nerves or nothing. I was gonna season.
- 51:37Speaker 4: The coffee. US Olympics bronze medalist Fred Curly arrested it
- 51:46Speaker 4: down in Southweak.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Now.
- 51:47Speaker 4: I did some investigative work on this, and my best
- 51:52Speaker 4: friend is a law officer in South Florida. And when
- 51:56Speaker 4: I over last year's that he's been there. He's been
- 51:59Speaker 4: a law officer for about fifteen years now. A lot
- 52:04Speaker 4: of times when I come to this mic, I want
- 52:06Speaker 4: to come informed, especially when it comes to law enforcement,
- 52:10Speaker 4: and he I feel it has always been fair and
- 52:13Speaker 4: neutral because he's not a lifer. He played ball with
- 52:16Speaker 4: me at Auburn. He went to the NFL for three years,
- 52:20Speaker 4: so it's not like he's a lifer that's going to
- 52:22Speaker 4: be just jaded. One way, talk to him about this
- 52:27Speaker 4: Fred Curly situation that happened where Fred was walking to
- 52:34Speaker 4: his car. You can catch the video, and law enforcement
- 52:39Speaker 4: was that telling him that he had to hold up
- 52:43Speaker 4: or he couldn't go in a certain direction. Fred took
- 52:46Speaker 4: offense to that, swiped the officer's hand away, and then basically,
- 52:52Speaker 4: as they said, resisted the rest so to be fair,
- 52:59Speaker 4: and I even suggest it to my friend, like, hey man,
- 53:02Speaker 4: when you retire, so we can start running a campaign
- 53:07Speaker 4: to go to we can start at high schools and
- 53:12Speaker 4: educate people on the process of being arrested, because I
- 53:20Speaker 4: watch these tapes and I'm always about the safety of everyone,
- 53:26Speaker 4: and sometimes the knowledge that you can gain can help
- 53:30Speaker 4: you be safer, because it seems like Comanche, seems like
- 53:35Speaker 4: Big Kenny. People think that they have some other kind
- 53:40Speaker 4: of rights. Yes, in these situations when the first thing
- 53:46Speaker 4: is you can't resist the rest. Is that not implanting
- 53:54Speaker 4: in your head like once they go to arrest you. Now,
- 53:58Speaker 4: once we sit here talking and you're trying to get
- 54:01Speaker 4: your information of why, when and where and all that,
- 54:04Speaker 4: but once the cop goes to arrest you, right, you
- 54:09Speaker 4: cannot resist.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Do I have that wrong?
- 54:12Speaker 5: No, it is.
- 54:15Speaker 1: It is a crime.
- 54:18Speaker 22: Now now.
- 54:22Speaker 4: He can be charmed with this one thing before that,
- 54:25Speaker 4: So he had me to tell everybody to go to
- 54:29Speaker 4: what he called the what was it the matrix.
- 54:36Speaker 5: Of force.
- 54:37Speaker 4: Police use of force matrix is what you can google
- 54:42Speaker 4: police use of force matrix and it kind of gives
- 54:47Speaker 4: you an outline of how each step even in the
- 54:53Speaker 4: arrest where they we have taken away the chokehold, we've
- 54:56Speaker 4: taken away the knee in the back. You saw the
- 54:59Speaker 4: off is all trying to grab an arm. But then
- 55:03Speaker 4: you saw the officers execute where they all backed up,
- 55:06Speaker 4: where they all had decided so you don't want to
- 55:08Speaker 4: be arrested. We see everybody back up and we're gonna
- 55:12Speaker 4: tase you and we're gonna tage you and stuff. Even
- 55:18Speaker 4: the part where they are allowed if you're resisting arrests,
- 55:21Speaker 4: because there was another part in there where one of
- 55:23Speaker 4: the officers was trying to punch the gentleman curly and the.
- 55:29Speaker 1: Lower part of his back.
- 55:31Speaker 2: That that's the old school that is legal when you're
- 55:35Speaker 2: existent resisting arrests.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very old school.
- 55:38Speaker 4: It's kind of like a kidney punch. He's trying to
- 55:40Speaker 4: get you to give in to the arrest. So when
- 55:45Speaker 4: you watch the video and you think that's not legal,
- 55:48Speaker 4: And that's why I was like, man, you know what
- 55:49Speaker 4: people need to be I think we could say one
- 55:52Speaker 4: of people hassle because people attack and resist arrest on
- 55:58Speaker 4: the side or even home when people come to get them,
- 56:02Speaker 4: as though there werein their rights.
- 56:04Speaker 2: And well, see, first of all, i'm surprised that some
- 56:08Speaker 2: of this were. One of the charges he got charged
- 56:11Speaker 2: with was strong armed robbery. I'm not sure where that
- 56:16Speaker 2: charge came from.
- 56:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not sure where that one came from.
- 56:19Speaker 2: But we've all resisted arrest, am I right, We've all
- 56:25Speaker 2: been in situations where.
- 56:26Speaker 1: No, no, most of us have.
- 56:29Speaker 4: I've never been arrested.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Most of us have. Yeah, okay, so we've all been
- 56:35Speaker 1: there per se.
- 56:38Speaker 12: And this is the thing.
- 56:39Speaker 2: The rights that you think you have, obviously you're unaware of.
- 56:46Speaker 2: And then when they get to the point where they
- 56:48Speaker 2: say we're going to arrest you, you're still trying to
- 56:51Speaker 2: try your case on the side of the road. A
- 56:54Speaker 2: very good lawyer said to me once, never has your
- 56:58Speaker 2: case out on the side of the road, behind the car,
- 57:03Speaker 2: in the hallway wherever they're arresting.
- 57:05Speaker 1: You just get arrested and go to jail. We'll work
- 57:08Speaker 1: it out in court.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Now, I'm one of the best to getting people out
- 57:13Speaker 2: of situations once we get to court. But you making
- 57:16Speaker 2: it worse before you get there is going to ruin everything.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Just go to jail once they have you. Now, some
- 57:23Speaker 2: of the people that can get away from going to jail,
- 57:26Speaker 2: that's a different thing. But a lot of times we
- 57:28Speaker 2: think we have rights that we do not have, and
- 57:31Speaker 2: we're trying to No man, I can no, man, you can't.
- 57:35Speaker 2: And the system will assume that they know the law
- 57:39Speaker 2: better than you because they're trained in the law. So
- 57:42Speaker 2: once they say you're under arrest, you have to go
- 57:46Speaker 2: other things we don't know that. We have to present
- 57:48Speaker 2: our license, we have to step out of the car
- 57:49Speaker 2: in the state of Georgia by law.
- 57:51Speaker 4: And that's why I was saying, Command Gie. It would
- 57:54Speaker 4: differ by state, but it still would be an education
- 57:56Speaker 4: to yes, to pull the veil over so things I
- 58:00Speaker 4: think people think they have.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Yeah, people, I ain't got to show you nothing.
- 58:04Speaker 4: And I told him, I told him, I I go
- 58:07Speaker 4: more with I don't know anything, missed, officer, So take
- 58:11Speaker 4: me down to the station.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Oh see, and I'm my my line brother was a
- 58:16Speaker 2: criminal justice major. So just by proximity, I'm kind of like.
- 58:22Speaker 4: A long saying this as we go to break even
- 58:23Speaker 4: with the Tyreek Hills situations. Everybody had an opinion, but
- 58:27Speaker 4: nobody really ever talked about what is your real right?
- 58:34Speaker 4: Because I assume once you let down the window until
- 58:37Speaker 4: the officer walked away, you can't let the window back,
- 58:42Speaker 4: and then some people don't know that's not true. You
- 58:44Speaker 4: ain't never gotta let your window down. And that's why
- 58:46Speaker 4: I was telling, man, we need to do a little
- 58:48Speaker 4: around the country tour baby and educate some people.
- 58:51Speaker 1: Police use they are sovereign citizens and they just that
- 58:59Speaker 1: that that stuff.
- 59:01Speaker 4: That's maybe since Fred, one of the bruns, he thought
- 59:04Speaker 4: he was sold and that when that taser hit him, though,
- 59:08Speaker 4: did y'all see him?
- 59:09Speaker 1: Hey, I'm a show, fuck got him? May got a mistress,

- 59:31Speaker 6: Dambidius coming up next.
- 59:33Speaker 1: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 59:36Speaker 7: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 59:40Speaker 7: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 59:43Speaker 7: have life insurance.
- 59:44Speaker 24: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 59:46Speaker 24: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 59:49Speaker 24: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What
- 59:51Speaker 24: about you will you be leaving benefits or Bill's. When
- 59:54Speaker 24: I was forty with a kid in college and Bill's
- 59:56Speaker 24: piling up, I was worried how my family was survival
- 59:58Speaker 24: without me. That's what I'm in in the apointment with
- 1:00:00Speaker 24: the insurance informant. Information gives you power and life. Insurance
- 1:00:03Speaker 24: gives your family security no matter what stage of life
- 1:00:06Speaker 24: you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry about
- 1:00:09Speaker 24: whether I'll leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?

- 1:00:33Speaker 28: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 1:00:36Speaker 28: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is often
- 1:00:40Speaker 28: laced into illicit drugs and used to make fake versions
- 1:00:43Speaker 28: of prescription pills. You can't see it, taste it, or
- 1:00:47Speaker 28: smell it. Suppliers mix fentanyl into their products because it's
- 1:00:50Speaker 28: potents and cheap, and the dealer might not even know.
- 1:00:54Speaker 28: Keep yourself and others safe by knowing the real deal

- 1:01:47Speaker 4: Welcome back to this one Shock Show. I'm the Swart
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: Shock Wayne Game. A good morning telling you on this
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: first Monday here of twenty twenty five.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Glad to be here with you. Happy New Year to
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: you all.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: If you missed any of that first hour, you can
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: go to Apple Podcasts, Amazon Podcast, Audible, Desert, iHeartRadio or Spotify.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: After the show, comand you, Greg will upload us a
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: lot of giggles and laughs. In that first hour of
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: the show. We talked about some coaches being fired, a
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: lot of coaching jobs open the New York Jets, the
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: New England Patriots. Now the Jacksonville Jaguars are open for
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: business as well with their recent firing. And when we
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: say recent, we talked about forty five minutes ago getting
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Doug Peterson.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Still he's still sitting in his old office, rubbing his
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: head like man, Trevoral Trevalon is gonna be on the
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: hot seat next year too. It's gonna be kind of
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: a do a die, come on, because you're in that
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: He's in that paradox of Damos Winston, because everything you
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: do good, like you show me half a game of
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: why you do on one pick and then the other
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: half of the game you make me think why did
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: they draft you? And you know the coach on the
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: way out to Da't pointed him like still here and
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: he tried not to make eye contact.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: So coaches being let go free agency, people making big statements.
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: What we're happening with Aaron Rodgers was that yesterday the
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: last time we will see Aaron Rogers.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: You got a fifty to fifty sense. It didn't seem
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: like I was done.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: It sounded like I will wait to see the opportunity
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: and not in one of those I don't know how
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: to retire, but maybe one of two teams that just
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: need to plug a quarterback. You can land in a
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: spot like a Sam Donald where you have talent. They're
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: not building talent, they just need some money to use
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: the talent. It's a good situation for him, but I
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: didn't get the vibe of completely. I got what he said, well,
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: he would think about it, but some of that thought
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: is who is presenting him. He's not going to go
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: to a team similar to Zeke Elliott. And that was
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: so classy. That was so classy by the Cowboys to
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: be able to say, hey, this might be your last
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: year or two, so don't let us hold you up.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: We'll let you go.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: If somebody didn't go into the playoffs, want to pick
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: you up in time. At least you had that opportunity.
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: I thought that was great for them to do that
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: for him. And that's where you are in your career,
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: Aaron Rodgers, if he's going to play another year or two,
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: he's going to try to find him a Peyton Manning
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: Tom Brady type situation where the talent is there and
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: they just need somewhere.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: And they don't have a quarterback already. I think yesterday
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: when I saw the game.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Part of what I.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Imagined I was saying was Aaron Rodgers saying, I'm gonna
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: go down with my boots on. I'm gonna go out
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: with my guns blazing. This is why I'm one of
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: the greats. If I wanted to keep doing it, I
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: probably could. I mean, I don't think he would just
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: say right there on the spot, man, I have done
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: with this. If I want to do it, I will.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: I still can't. You just saw that there, and I'll
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: talk to you when I talk to you.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Unless he just goes to.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Like Buffalo or Detroit somewhere, that is you know I'm saying, right,
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: I mean, unless he falls into that kind of situation.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: I really don't see him struggling because each and maybe
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: it was because he was with the Jets, but each
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: time I saw him take the field this season, he
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: had that Ah, man, why did.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I should have just I could? I was done? I
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: was asking, you know, I could have been done, and
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: here I am again.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: So we have that mystery of what Aaron Rodgers will do.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: Another mystery we have that has fallen upon us is
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: coming from the Miami Heat. Jimmy Butler, Jimmy Buckets down
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: in Miami last week basically being suspended for interviewing talking
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: to the media that basically he didn't want to be there,
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: and the great pat Riley and the power broker that
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: he is with the Miami Heat just started the process,
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: which is suspension. And anyone would tell you that you
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: don't want a player on your team that doesn't want
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: to be there. That's not how you can win. You're
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: you're better off trying to win without that component, even
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: if it's suspension or benching him or just telling him
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: not to come. Then to have someone with that kind
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: of strength on your team where each and every pass
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: you had a question whether he's in it or not.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: And so Jimmy Butler right now, and I think some
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: of that is this is the last year on his
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: guaranteed contract. He's thirty five, thirty six years old. To me,
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: he's kind of like Zekiel elliet Is why I brought
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: it up. I got a year or two.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Left and this team, and that's the story that's come out.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: But now now akin to the Cowboys.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: And the relationship they had with Zeke, I think that
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Jimmy Buckets has been in Miami and been serviceable enough
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: for them that they could have sat down and been
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: on some Hey man, Jimmy really want to go. And
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: you know it's not you, it's not We'll just let's
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: work that out. Do you or do you think they
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: like he's acting like he's being held hostage or something
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: like he had to He's in some sort of abusive
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: situation where he had to. You know, I saw my chance.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: The window was cracked and I started screaming for help.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: I want to start my journey now. So it because
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: like we're gonna just count. We're gonna talk about it,
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: and I want to go now.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: I want to go.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: I'm friends with guys around the NBA. There's two or
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: three jobs I know that they're looking for, and I
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: let you hold it. I can't both jobs gonna get up,
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: they're gonna get filled field. Yes, before you let me go,
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: And I want to go now. And you still and
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: you still on the trade deadline. I don't want to
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: be around in February. I want to leave now.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: You're still on some wee can work it out. But
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: about the good time, yeah, we had some good times.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: I mean, you know, maybe we just need to fall
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: in love again.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: That's where you are, because he even made a statement
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: that he wants to find his joy or he's not
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: having fun something like that. He said, I think this
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: is just trying to force a trade before the deadline.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: And when they started talking like that, they already seen somebody.
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: So I can get to the Lakers, or I can
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: get to the Knicks, I can get to those three
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: or four contenders that just need me.
- 1:09:28Speaker 19: Well, it was shown that well a life of trying
- 1:09:31Speaker 19: to read into his line of thinking, because he hasn't
- 1:09:35Speaker 19: made until then, not a lot of public statements, but
- 1:09:39Speaker 19: with him dyeing his hair a different color like okay green,
- 1:09:44Speaker 19: so oh, he wants to get traded to the Celtics Purple,
- 1:09:47Speaker 19: he wants to get traded to the Suns blue. He
- 1:09:50Speaker 19: wants to get traded to the Warriors. So he's that's
- 1:09:54Speaker 19: so the story came out about what teams he's interested
- 1:09:57Speaker 19: in getting traded to.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: Now, Jimmy, did he say no? That was his passive
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: aggressive I guess symbolism, uh, signals of where he would
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: like to go. The different colored hair in his and
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: and he's thirty eight thirty seven, thirty six right and
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: been in the league. How many years I'd say four fourteen,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: ain't he ain't he passed? Different colored hair? Jimmy, kn't
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: we that? That seems like that's out of the a
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Jah Morant Kyrie Irving book. I mean, Jimmy, you've and
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: that's all of this is confusing me because he's always
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: been more of a uh.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Straight up and down, straightforward.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: Well that was the Chicago Bull Jimmy Jimmy, but the
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: Miami Jimmy Miami a little more looker.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Yeah, he a dippy guy. He going to Miami a
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: dipperent guy down there. That what you say?
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: He finally kind of his personality, Jay seems to be
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: kind of like a Ammon Shomper, kind of eclectic. Andre
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: three thousand, Yes, yes, definitely see what I'm bad?
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: What do you call it? Yes? Him?
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: And you know Elon Musk in the back smoking some zar.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: Right, tell me, Frank, you'll know what the hot site.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: It's a pig who don't fight. But Jimmy, we got
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: a spot here in the A for you don't. We
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: got a spot right here in the A. The shoot
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: guard we got we got a great spot where we
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: need a veteran leadership to pass on to a very
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: young team, and and with the current lineup that we
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: have here now this you think he and Trey could
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: get along. That would be why I would want to
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: bring him to Rain Trade.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: Rain Trade.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: Maybe choking one of ain't. I ain't in favor of violence.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: I'm just saying if he grabbed him, maybe that'd be helpful.
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: Because I think that the thing, the component that Trey
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: is missing is wherever you go, however, you're going to
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: have to balance playing with another superstar. Until you find
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: that balance, you can't win in the NBA by yourself.
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: Right that those days are gone. That's why half of
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: the ratings are down because you got super team, but
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: you left twelve teams without any kind of star power.
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: So fans only come to the game when the super
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: team come right when all the talent, when everybody just
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: had two stars per team.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: NBA ratings is going up.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Now four guys on each team, Dame Dollar and Jannis
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: is on one team.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: That kind of thing happened. Now you're cutting out, So
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: who's Portland Strips superstar? Without Zion on the court. For
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: the Pelicans, who is the draw for you to want
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: to go see? The Hornets still don't have anybody because
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: they all went to congregate together and that's why the
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: ratings down. So if the people who wants to see
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: we only want to see who plays Charlotte.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Because they don't have anybody but made his half red yet,
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: so we don't need him coming here reluctantly.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: Because it's not just about the production. It's about the magnetism.
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: It's you know, it's something that's that's the star thing.
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: It's something about in any profession, some people just has
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: that charisma, that intrigue that people.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Want to see.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: And LaMelo Ball, even though he is putting up numbers
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: and things like that, he doesn't seem to have that
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: about his game that draws people to want to see
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: it like that, We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show.
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: Rather, don't go away more of the Sports Jock Show
- 1:14:14Speaker 6: with Wayne dam Vidia's dumbing up next.

- 1:18:16Speaker 2: or five years ago. We have to talk to Jared
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: what happened to Alex Leatherwood. He's only twenty six years old.

- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Ask him what he did?
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: Ask him what he did? The model she's thirty nine.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: Darryl Dixon from Walking Dead, Norman Ritas, this is really
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: his name is fifty six years old. Kate McKinnon, the

- 1:20:24Speaker 4: years of age. Kenny. With Super wild Card weekend coming up,
- 1:20:31Speaker 4: a lot of people, a lot of excitement, so we
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: can understand if you like to take a day off.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: No, no, I think I'm.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Gonna clock in the day with Julie Chin. Go report
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: on that Julie Club. Come come, let them know, go
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: into great detail and because the people have much the
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: need to be in fun. Our top story today.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Our top story this evening, Big Kenny clock in It
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: worked over time, Julie Chin. Okay, there we go.
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: Chick fil A has changed their recipe for the waffle
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: fries and Big Kenny. Wait, now it's upset. They said
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: they're they're changing to uh to make them crispy. They
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: want to be crispy longer. But a lot of fans
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: aren't happy. But they're supposed to be changing their recipe,
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: but what is it now? I guess so they can
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: stay under that heat lamp. I'm guessing.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: I'm confused about recipe because I thought the only thing
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: that made them waffle fries that you just cut them
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: in a waffle shape. There's I didn't think you had
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: to make anything with the potato special. You just cut
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: them in a waffle shape, drop them in the oil.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: That's the recipe French fries. You take kind of potato.
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: So maybe they're changing potato. Okay, maybe that Maybe they're
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: changing they changing the oil. That's because the oil is
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: very critical. Yeah, what kind of oil the preparation. But
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: they didn't specifically say, well, as a Chick fil A customers,
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: you just gotta go, and hey, what do you think
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: it is?
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: It's a mystery. Now we got to know.
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: For us uneducated like me and command you, I don't.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: I wouldn't necessarily know what to had they said anything,
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: you probably wouldn't have known. But for someone who like myself,
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: when I have a taste for fries, I go to
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: McDonald's first. Now I do like the waffle fries when
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: I just happened to be at Chick fil A. But
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: if I just want fries, where I just go and
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: order a large fry. I'll go to McDonald's.
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: I wonder if this like and I even tell them
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: I wait for some hot one because that's all I
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: want is.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Is a fry.
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: And I wonder it's just like professional sports where you say,
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: nobody who actually plays the game asks for these changes.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: Did the customers be like, hey man, excuse me, I'm
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: pulling around. Can I get some crispy or fry? Or
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: was this just something they were like, they don't last
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: long under the light. I would think it was that
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: let's try it this.
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: I think it's it's some kind of way that they
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: can cook them and they sus sustained longer already cooked.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Those are risky changes when when you just make it
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: based on trying to.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Edge out that extra point three seven proper you know
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: what I'm saying, And it's a dangerous game.
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: So you're a waffle fry what are you come on?
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: Which fries do you enjoy the.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Best out of out of any place at McDonald's.
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: Okay, but see, this is the thing.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: I almost feel ridiculous going to McDonald's for just the fries,
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: because with their new price adjustments, the fries costs as
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: much as a.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Commo meal. So I just but I really don't want
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: that chicken big mac.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying. I just I want something.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: I want to consume the whole meal. I don't want
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: to throw the chicken big Mac away. So I just
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: you know what, I'll go with waffle fries because I
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: can eat some chicken stuff with that.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: Yeah, you said that.
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: My sister and my mom were flitting a steak and
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: shaped sandwich a couple of weeks ago because they say
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: the price is so high. Now that's how frugal they are.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: And sports job. I don't know.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: Well, I want to ask. And you know, things been
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: all right for people around this table. Do you ever
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: get comfortable with it? No? I'm doing my my new
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: year out with the old inn, with the new kind
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: of stuff, donating the things that are gently used. And
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: I got like four pair of shoes I've been riding
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: around with for two weeks, like on some do I
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: really want to donate?
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Because then and that's wrong with them. I just haven't
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: warned them in a while. You should donate them.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: I'm going to donate them, but I'm just not comfortable
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: giving away shoes that don't have holes in the bottom
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: of them anymore. You should never give a shoe away
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: with a hole I'm saying. I'm saying giving away shoes
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: is new to me. I used to have to just
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: wear them until I had to buy new pairs. Now
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: I have pairs that I've yet to wear, and I'm
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: getting used.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: God is good. God is good. The sports stop shut
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: it out to this, don't bowl.
- 1:25:22Speaker 6: Wayne Board of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Gantius

- 1:25:31Speaker 5: overseas in the Middle East in Africa. Early on in
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: my career, I had a commander that taught our suicide
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: prevention training and the very next day he took his
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: own life. Ninety percent of suicide attempts involving a gun
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: are fatal. My way of continuing my service is to

- 1:26:00Speaker 31: nor me carve my path with data and drive, but
- 1:26:04Speaker 31: some people only see who I am on paper, the
- 1:26:07Speaker 31: paper ceiling, the limitations from degree screens to stereotypes that
- 1:26:11Speaker 31: are holding back over seventy million stars workers skill through

- 1:26:32Speaker 32: So we ask kids, what do you want your parents
- 1:26:35Speaker 32: to hear?
- 1:26:36Speaker 22: I feel sometimes that I'm not listening to I would
- 1:26:39Speaker 22: just want you to listen to me more often and
- 1:26:41Speaker 22: evaluate situations with me and lead me towards success.
- 1:26:45Speaker 17: We're not adults, so just just be there and like, listen.
- 1:26:50Speaker 17: I just want someone to ap too, and I just
- 1:26:52Speaker 17: feel like I'll be fine. Like if someone just hears
- 1:26:55Speaker 17: me talk and talk and talk and talk and talk
- 1:26:58Speaker 17: and talk.
- 1:26:58Speaker 13: And talk, you're doing it.
- 1:27:00Speaker 22: Anko joab and I don't think that's so. I don't know,
- 1:27:02Speaker 22: and I know sometimes we get into it. It's just
- 1:27:07Speaker 22: hard on both of us. But I'll try to understand

- 1:27:49Speaker 18: White Man.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Already know what it is like. We still we stay.
- 1:28:06Speaker 18: Riding the roll, but we still found.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: I'm putting up at the club beat high beat campaign
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: on don't drink so meat fight man.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: This washed up show.
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: I'm just wash up wing can t Congratulations to Mike
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: Evans uh other Tampa Bay Bucks able to get uh
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: that last catch right before the game ended for his
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: eleventh season, tying Jerry rights. And whenever you can tie
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: someone like Jerry Rice in any category, uh, it means
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: that you're doing special things. His eleventh season of one
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: thousand receiving yards in a row got him a bonus,
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: uh as well something I I won't mention the bonus.
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: I'm quite sure most of you did follow it know
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: how much it is, but I just I was, I
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: turned on the television. I was listening to the two
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: commentators like two days ago before these games happened, talk
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: about guys and their incentive packages, and I kept thinking,
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: how I still don't like that thirty years later. Just
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: don't get this whole needing to discuss. You've made a conversation.
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: And I say that because basically, outside of sports, nobody
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: does that. Nobody does that. Nobody does that. Actually you can.
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: You can talk to people and they don't know the
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: payscale for the mayor. They don't know the payscale for
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: the governor. Outside of sports and entertainment.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: That's the because I've actually, when I was in corporate America,
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: would get a pay raise and management would go, hey,
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: just between me and you know, don't run around telling
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: everybody about the little raised thing, because then everybody'll be
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: coming up in the here talking about how much money
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: you're making more than And it used to be a
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: thing where and it still is in the rest of
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: the world that that is. And this is one they
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: even ask you, would you mind and can I release this?
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: You can sign a release. It's just public information.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:30:05Speaker 4: If one thing, if the player gets up to the
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: podium and wants to make some announcement, but you breaking
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: down the contracts and needing to make the financial part.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: Me is part of that target that goes along with guys.
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: You know, you put people already know from you know
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: that the money is coming right, but when you trigger
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: then remembering it, it makes Uncle Ted feel like I
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: can call you again now and now I know you
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: can't tell me. See last time you told me you ain't.
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: Had no money, but at the told me you got
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: three MILLI And then it make it even more awkward
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: with my coworker, who's it on some three meal, I only.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: Got one point seven and now we got to have
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: that conversation.
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I've always in a society where our most important
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: jobs don't even make six figures, like law enforcement, like
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: emergency workers, like school teachers and stuff like that. I've
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: just always thought that was just I'm not gonna apologize
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: for going out to make it, but I don't have
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: to put it in any kind of way to make
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: you feel some kind of way.
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: Yeah about your job, how I look at it.
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: And I don't know if you've ever had the what
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: I called an uncomfortable experience of being around some people
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: that I respect and admire and love and who work
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: very very very hard to earn a decent living, and
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: someone mentions how much you make playing around on your job,
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: and it's almost embarrassing, like you feel bad, like you've
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: almost wronged those people. Like man you know, really be
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: getting it in to make his money and I'm out
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: here just you know, Keiki Kaka, and I don't think
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: they should do that. In the NFL, it's obscene amounts
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: of money. In the NBA, MLB, Major League Baseball, it's
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: even more.
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: But it's truly as we have the twenty four hour
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: news cycle, they use every anything to keep something going.
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: You know, they really go to that part of the
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: human nature, that nosiness where they just continue to push
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: that button.
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: Right because there's no limit to the spectrum.
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: It'll be like he just signed a multi year, one
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: hundred and eighty three million dollar contract, but his mother's
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: on drugs.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: I wonder how this will affect their relationship.
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: When we started to show with a big ticker when
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: you can splash race keeps it going, it keeps a
- 1:32:41Speaker 4: compensation money. They just keep it from some kind of angle.
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: You you can't if we just say draw mail got
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: fired because he was four and thirteen, which ain't that's
- 1:32:54Speaker 4: not that, that's only ten seconds. What we're gonna do
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: with the next five minutes of this segment, Let's talk about.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Racist money and racist Let's find that other white coaches
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: who went for.
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: Job. Skip Bayless offered Fox Sports hairstylists this time around.
- 1:33:16Speaker 4: Remember the NFL network, it was the makeup artist. Here
- 1:33:22Speaker 4: it seems to be the hairstylist for Fox, who has
- 1:33:27Speaker 4: a lawsuit basically against each in every division that Fox
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: Sports is part of. Also has a cue Skip Bayless
- 1:33:36Speaker 4: of offering her one point five million to have sex
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: with him, according to a new lawsuit fouled in Los Angeles,
- 1:33:48Speaker 4: forty two page law suit seventy three year old Skip
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: Bayless Nachine Fragi. I'm not sure if I'm saying her name, No,
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: Sheen Faraji is her name. She's even saying that someone,
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: a Fox executive, Charlie Dixon, grabbed her buttucks at a
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: birthday party. Not sure when the timelines of all these
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: kind of different situations, it was like, it's a broad
- 1:34:21Speaker 4: timeline from even twenty sixteen up until now. But as
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: we know a lot of these cases, I can't say
- 1:34:29Speaker 4: I wasn't there, but the young lady seems to have
- 1:34:33Speaker 4: roped any name that she could into this story, all
- 1:34:38Speaker 4: the way down to another coworker, Joy Taylor. Not sure
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: if Joy said something or she's just saying Joy knows,
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: but it seems to be as similar to as I
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: said that what was that maybe eight years ago? Or
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: the makeup artist for the NFL network where she was
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: able to get Warren, Sab Marshall, fall, Donald McNab. A
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: lot of them came. So I guess we'll see how
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: this works out. One thing, as I always have felt
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: like with these stories, and sadly I know in capitalistic America,
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: so it won't happen, but it would love to be
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: where if you go out and you win these cases,
- 1:35:29Speaker 4: then sure, let's put this out there. But even if
- 1:35:34Speaker 4: you don't win, you cast this idea about people, so
- 1:35:43Speaker 4: and that person has to always walk around with that.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: Now, if you win it, you prove it, and you
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: make that person walk under that umbrella, then that's one thing.
- 1:35:54Speaker 5: But to just have it.
- 1:35:57Speaker 4: Humans don't just let the umbrella all the way They
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: just let it down a little bit, you know. They
- 1:36:04Speaker 4: don't just put it all the way back and store
- 1:36:06Speaker 4: it back in the right kind of bell Man, don't
- 1:36:11Speaker 4: let it all the way down. Some of it must
- 1:36:13Speaker 4: be true, skip, you know, that's how they knew that,
- 1:36:17Speaker 4: some of them to just lie. And that's why I
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: say that, like on both sides, men or women, that
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: whatever someone is saying about you, it should be something
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: that has already been through the court system and then
- 1:36:31Speaker 4: it can be brought to light. Doing it this way
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: is to lose, lose, And that's why a lot of
- 1:36:36Speaker 4: people settle, because they're rather just in the court of
- 1:36:40Speaker 4: public opinion, no healthy regardless, correct, So I might as
- 1:36:43Speaker 4: well just give you this and let it be a
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: short window, and.
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: Yet keep it quiet, and you go away, and now
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: you're bound from saying anything you can tarnish my image anymore.
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: Right to tell all have some Netflix movie cause now again,
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: in this twenty four hour news cycle, that's not hard
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: to believe it'll happen that someone will want to make
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: a new story or a documentary about something like this quickly.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: And there doesn't that right, There doesn't have to be
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: much supporting evidence at all. Quickly they will do this
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: to you as well.
- 1:37:19Speaker 4: Sadly, Sonny Smart, the father of Georgia coach Kirby Smart
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: passed away. The story that I read, you guys helped
- 1:37:29Speaker 4: me out if I'm missing something. After their game on Thursday,
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: remember Georgia versus Notre Dame. That game had to be
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: moved because of the terrorist attack from Wednesday to Thursday.
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: Kirby Smart, the head coach of Georgia, his dad fail
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: in transition to the game or after the game. He
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: had to go have hip surgery and he passed away
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: from complications during the surgery.
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: So that's Kirby Smart. I think his dad was maybe
- 1:38:10Speaker 4: about seventy five right in the but he died from
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: complications from that surgery. But I don't know if he
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: was at the Superdome when he failed or if he
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: was just intransit. But it had something to do with
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: the movement of the game, and not based on that
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: it was moved to the next day. I'm just saying,
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: you get that old and you know falling. Unfortunately, it's
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: something that you you know twice a child. It was
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: before the game, before the game happened.
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:38:40Speaker 4: Yeah, So I wonder if he knew. He probably he
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: probably knew he failed, but then noted he he knew.
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: And went to.
- 1:38:50Speaker 19: And went to see him and then I think he
- 1:38:53Speaker 19: passed after It was after the game and he went
- 1:38:57Speaker 19: to he went to see him after the game, and.
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: That's when he had passed. Okay, all right, So Dooles
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: is to the Smart family. Curberg Smart great coach up

- 1:40:12Speaker 1: How serious is youth vaping? Irreversible lung damage?
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: Serious?
- 1:40:17Speaker 25: One in ten kids vape serious, which warns a serious
- 1:40:20Speaker 25: conversation from a serious parental figure like yourself, not the
- 1:40:24Speaker 25: seriously no at all sports dad or the seriously smart podcaster.
- 1:40:28Speaker 25: It requires a serious conversation that has best had by you.
- 1:40:32Speaker 25: No seriously, The best person to talk to your child

- 1:40:44Speaker 26: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy, it's
- 1:40:57Speaker 26: wage log on. Say you can see a sports chant.
- 1:41:12Speaker 26: I'll sing even.
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: Big Janny, welcome back to this wort Shock show. I'm
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: the Sportshock wing Candy. Good morning to you the browns.
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: Uh who might be looking for but command you say?
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: Stevanski is is safe? Brian Dable is safe. Now Now
- 1:41:32Speaker 4: it's for the Giants. Doug Peterson is out as the Jags.
- 1:41:37Speaker 4: The Jets are already looking for Mike McCarthy. Where are
- 1:41:41Speaker 4: we with Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys? Are we giving
- 1:41:44Speaker 4: them thumbs up to come back, the thumbs down to leave?
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: Which one? Kenny big Kinny?
- 1:41:50Speaker 22: Uh?
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: You asking? What do I think? Yes, I would give
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: them the thumbs down.
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: Okay, what about you, Commands, You're the cowboy fan.
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: I would go thumbs down. But gonna blame Mike, I
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: said you. I'm not saying blame it. I'm the dead
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: man on that.
- 1:42:19Speaker 19: We have hit our ceiling. But Jerry likes him, and see,
- 1:42:23Speaker 19: and that's probably the most important thing that Jerry.
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: And the thing that offends everybody else is everybody else
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: that deserve to get fired getting fired.
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: How you still got your job, Mike McCarthy.
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: Well, Jerry knows that it is hard to find a
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: head coach that will let him pull strings. It's hard
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: to find a quality in which I about Mike McCarthy,
- 1:42:47Speaker 4: who is a Super Bowl champion winner with the Green
- 1:42:51Speaker 4: Bay as the head coach. It's hard to find a
- 1:42:55Speaker 4: coach that reflects your winning weight. Most time, to get
- 1:43:00Speaker 4: somebody to be the puppet master, it has to be
- 1:43:03Speaker 4: some hot shot offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator with no background.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: So you get someone that is okay, But you continuing
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: to do that, especially at Jerry's age, you don't have
- 1:43:17Speaker 4: time to be retraining. Too many more people go Jerry
- 1:43:22Speaker 4: like eighty three eighty four, right there. So some new
- 1:43:27Speaker 4: guy that's not gonna listen, I gotta it's gonna take
- 1:43:30Speaker 4: me two years to get him to understand the Jerry
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: Jones way. When it says coach press conference, that really
- 1:43:37Speaker 4: means Jerry Jones press conference.
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: So don't you say nothing, right, don't you ain't even
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: gotta come to that. But it's the coaching meeting.
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: Okay, I understand, that's what I'm saying, and I'll be there.
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: And I think that's the only reason Mike keeps his job.
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: That's Mike because of a Jerry Jones situation.
- 1:43:58Speaker 4: Austin Rivers, who long time to the son of Doc
- 1:44:01Speaker 4: Rivers but played in the NBA about ten years as well,
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: says two things. First, New Orleans is a football town.
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: Would you agree with that part? New Orleans is a
- 1:44:14Speaker 4: football town more than anything, more than anything else. Yes, okay,
- 1:44:19Speaker 4: that's what too. I played for him. They are a
- 1:44:21Speaker 4: football town. They're only competition is basketball. They don't have
- 1:44:25Speaker 4: a pro baseball team, they don't have an elite college
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: football program within the city.
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: Get they got an awesome Marty grown, awesome street party.
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: There's no outdoor basketball quite like that.
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: And he says.
- 1:44:43Speaker 4: It really, New Orleans doesn't help Zion because the food
- 1:44:51Speaker 4: is buttered and greasy. So basically Zion can't lose weight
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: because New Orleans butter in Greece is part of their recipe.
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: Well, and what have they voodooed his lips and make
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: them keep passing food through them?
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: You know, have you ever had a warm been yet? Yeah?
- 1:45:12Speaker 2: I have, sir, and I can understand now, I'm not
- 1:45:17Speaker 2: saying that don't have some basis of truth.
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: I'm just saying like, unless you've ever had.
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: A grilled oyster drenched in butter, it don't make no
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: sense with this man. Say, but if you've ever had
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: a grilled oyster, I'm talking about fresh off of flame
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: and it's dripped in butter. Then getting Zion out of
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: theirs when I'm just just open dropped on the basted based.
- 1:45:44Speaker 4: When I say based, I'm talking about like a mop
- 1:45:47Speaker 4: of a mopstick of butter.
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: They just dropped it and then it.
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: Had a little grill mark across it. And then when
- 1:45:54Speaker 2: you and then and see getsying out of the orders.
- 1:45:58Speaker 4: Man, never be And I have always said here on
- 1:46:03Speaker 4: the show, I tell people I've been combined the greatest
- 1:46:10Speaker 4: food city in America. When you loop it all together,
- 1:46:17Speaker 4: I'm not saying every month. I'm talking about it is
- 1:46:20Speaker 4: a food problem. You can't move there. You can come
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: up and think what is saying it's the problem because
- 1:46:31Speaker 4: half a block away from the twenty four chargill oysters
- 1:46:36Speaker 4: dripped in butter served with French bread is the beignet
- 1:46:41Speaker 4: shop that's dropping fresh beignets and then having a nerve
- 1:46:45Speaker 4: to cover it with white chocolate and powdered sugar, and
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: they make them donut.
- 1:46:54Speaker 2: When you just eat like seventeen, I'm and then go
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna slow down, man, you know i'ma slow down.
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna and then only only to get home and
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: somebody telling about they cooking some gumbo, cook some gumbo.
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: And then the nighttime falls and somebody go, hey, you
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: want to get some frozen alcohol.
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: Let's go get some frozen alcohol.
- 1:47:18Speaker 2: Why not?
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: And that's just one day, that's today, that's today.
- 1:47:22Speaker 2: Then tomorrow we wake up and uh, what are we
- 1:47:25Speaker 2: going to gorge ourselves on?
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: It's I know it's the summer time, but so that
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: its time they got me.
- 1:47:41Speaker 6: Shut John Boy Wayne Boor of the Sports John Show
- 1:47:47Speaker 6: with Wayne Gandia's coming up next.
- 1:47:52Speaker 18: Daves, what are you doing?
- 1:47:54Speaker 5: What?
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: I'm just rowing the lawn.
- 1:47:56Speaker 18: No, it's blazing hot and dry out here.
- 1:47:59Speaker 13: Don't you remember Smokey.
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: Bear says avoid using power equipment when it's windier dry.
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: Where'd you learn this? Oh, it's on smokeybear dot com

- 1:50:02Speaker 26: time for the school board.
- 1:50:04Speaker 27: When we put a spin on light and sports and
- 1:50:07Speaker 27: how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne
- 1:50:13Speaker 27: Gandy the Master.
- 1:50:18Speaker 1: Come on, read, re read, red d o gay, hard
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: to come to do, make you want to play the
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: ball and you want to pull a load? That's what
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: you want?
- 1:50:53Speaker 5: Did you?
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: You keep on making the atmosphere right for is the
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: perfect just the perfect appens. I don't know what else
- 1:51:03Speaker 2: we need, sir, besides Ziba show.
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: Oh man.
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: And that's one of the best songs they play because
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: even once the DJ cuts the song, the whole stadium
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: is saying you here, and it's a It's a great
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: tradition down there.
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: Now they just need some winning to go along with it.
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: And did you know they pull out that song everywhere
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: they go.
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: They have that zoon.
- 1:51:31Speaker 4: But the NFL season is over. We are going to
- 1:51:34Speaker 4: roll into a big weekend of sports. When you talk
- 1:51:36Speaker 4: about football will be on Thursday with the college football playoffs,
- 1:51:42Speaker 4: Friday with the college football I mean, this money thing
- 1:51:45Speaker 4: is just a big thing in it because these days
- 1:51:48Speaker 4: games us to be on the same day. And what
- 1:51:50Speaker 4: happened to the respect of a man and a woman
- 1:51:53Speaker 4: having to get up to go to work. People got
- 1:51:57Speaker 4: to go to work these games and.
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: People find way to watch it.
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: It used to be a time when I thought to myself, boy,
- 1:52:05Speaker 2: if I could just make me some money, i'd be
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: And then you make a little money, you start thinking,
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: I hope people don't think.
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: I just care because we've gotten to a point where
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: nothing matters but the money. Like, I still care about
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: people having to go to work, but nobody else does.
- 1:52:21Speaker 4: It seems that they don't need all these games. And
- 1:52:23Speaker 4: that's what I'm saying. The Thursday game for the college
- 1:52:26Speaker 4: football playoffs is at night, the Friday game is at night,
- 1:52:30Speaker 4: and then the NFL comes in on Saturday. They got
- 1:52:33Speaker 4: a night game on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. So what
- 1:52:38Speaker 4: happened in the respect? It's not a holiday though it's football,
- 1:52:41Speaker 4: but it's not a holiday though. Look the only thing
- 1:52:45Speaker 4: that's why people are confused. You know how many people
- 1:52:47Speaker 4: was confused about what it was even I for two
- 1:52:51Speaker 4: or three different I like to bring honesty. I woke
- 1:52:55Speaker 4: up at least two days in the morning had remind
- 1:52:58Speaker 4: myself that it was not Monday or Sunday. Yes, so
- 1:53:05Speaker 4: I walked up like, no, today is not Monday.
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: Last Thursday was the most Sunday feeling this Thursday I
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: ever had in my entire life. But I mean, and
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: this is the thing. The only thing that suffers is
- 1:53:19Speaker 2: work productivity. People ain't gonna slack off party and they're
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: not gonna miss part of the game to try and
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: be ready for work. They just gonna struggle through work
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: and it's gonna be what it's gonna be at the job.
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: So but that's five memory this point, I know. And
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: that's what I'm saying. Look at the stuffs. The Super
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: Bowl says that the most lost productivity in American workforce
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: is the day after the Super Bowl. Okay, so imagine
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: six super Bowls in one month, that that atmosphere in
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: one month.
- 1:53:51Speaker 4: How you give that this week alone? You give Notre
- 1:53:55Speaker 4: Dame versus Penn State. You're giving me Ohio State verse
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: is Texas. And those games are at night.
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: Yeah, And if I wanted to resist, you put Super
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: in front of.
- 1:54:04Speaker 4: It, then you rode me in the Super wild Card.
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: I can't resist now it's Super. I would have I
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: would have went to bed on the regular.
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: You got games like Stealers Ravens at eight o'clock at night,
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: and then you run into Green Bay Eagles on Sunday night,
- 1:54:23Speaker 2: which means Monday morning. It's a total wash. That's all
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: I'm trying to make it too. I just, you know,
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: if I can hold on, if I cannot get caught
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: sleeping at work.
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: It is my goal today.
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: I don't know how they're doing it, but they have
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: no respect for the day worker, none at all.
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: Like everybody is off during the day.
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: And I don't know if you've ever had a point
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: of reference as a day working person, but those Monday mornings,
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: after those Sunday nights struggle. I'm serious. All you want
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: to do is not get caught sleeping. If I could
- 1:55:00Speaker 2: just make it through the day without, if I could
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: just not get fired, today, I feel accomplished.
- 1:55:06Speaker 4: I really did feel, especially after watching Mike Evans with
- 1:55:10Speaker 4: the Bucks break, that I really felt for say Kwan Barkley.
- 1:55:15Speaker 4: It even made it a worse situation that he didn't
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: tryed that he.
- 1:55:23Speaker 1: Reached a record too.
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: Yeah, five hundred touchdown.
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: Hundred touchdowns that I think only five or six people
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: have ever done.
- 1:55:30Speaker 4: And I was sitting there thinking, wow the moment, because
- 1:55:35Speaker 4: there is a time once you retire. You understand why
- 1:55:40Speaker 4: Eric Dickson wants to die before you see somebody break
- 1:55:44Speaker 4: his record. He's not saying somebody won't break it one
- 1:55:46Speaker 4: day of twenty one oh five, but in his mind,
- 1:55:50Speaker 4: similar to like I said, the Dolphins, those players they
- 1:55:54Speaker 4: seventy five eighty nine, they're hoping that by the time
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: somebody has a perfect season, they watching it from the cloud.
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: Right right, because it happened this this long, might as
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: well gonna ride it.
- 1:56:07Speaker 4: So and that's what forty years ago. You know, it
- 1:56:11Speaker 4: hadn't happened in forty and you're just trying to hold on.
- 1:56:14Speaker 4: And I guess I saw with Mike Evans and like
- 1:56:17Speaker 4: you said, and Rogers, even Geno Smith a couple of
- 1:56:20Speaker 4: other players, they did reach their goal and their incentives
- 1:56:23Speaker 4: and their records for certain things. For Saquon not even
- 1:56:28Speaker 4: roll it.
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: Down, now, was it his decision or the team's decision
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: not to roll the dice.
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: It looked like it was the team.
- 1:56:36Speaker 19: The team, But they kind of also look at it
- 1:56:39Speaker 19: with him because a clip went around winning right before
- 1:56:43Speaker 19: was announced that he wasn't gonna play. He had a
- 1:56:47Speaker 19: chance to get his career high for a game, for
- 1:56:49Speaker 19: a single game, and they said, you're thirteen yards away.
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: So we'll you can go back in if you want to.
- 1:56:55Speaker 19: He's like, no, I don't, I don't want to. I
- 1:56:58Speaker 19: don't I don't need the record, I don't need to
- 1:56:59Speaker 19: go back in. And so I think some people like
- 1:57:05Speaker 19: that may be used to maybe make him look better
- 1:57:08Speaker 19: that he's so humble.
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: I wanted to ask such thing as trying to as
- 1:57:14Speaker 2: trying to appear to be humble, because we're playing a
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: game where so many people are so self centered that
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: I want to be a team guy.
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: And while I'm in the battle. It's honorable and it's
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: it's all you go for it.
- 1:57:31Speaker 4: You play football, You go play football. This was within
- 1:57:35Speaker 4: your wheelhouse to me. You limit yourself. No records, don't
- 1:57:39Speaker 4: say everything. But when you right next to the record,
- 1:57:42Speaker 4: it's okay.
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 1:57:44Speaker 4: The drama and the satisfaction of the fans to see
- 1:57:47Speaker 4: you break a record is just exciting and honorable as
- 1:57:51Speaker 4: you bowing out.
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: Yeah, but if you're if you're, if you're pole.
- 1:57:56Speaker 4: Vaulting and you're sitting there tied with the record, the
- 1:58:03Speaker 4: fans are gonna want you at least try one more time.
- 1:58:05Speaker 22: Now.
- 1:58:05Speaker 4: You might not get it next time, but you're getting
- 1:58:08Speaker 4: more Take the lead to leap to see and that's
- 1:58:12Speaker 4: how I felt that. Everybody asked me, I said, it
- 1:58:15Speaker 4: was within a marginal amount of yards. That didn't feel
- 1:58:19Speaker 4: like you were pressing. You're just telling me you need
- 1:58:23Speaker 4: a hundred yard game. Basically, it's not. That's what we
- 1:58:26Speaker 4: go into every game trying to get you one hundred
- 1:58:28Speaker 4: yards minimum. You know, it's one thing that we unrealistic.
- 1:58:32Speaker 4: Oh you need one hundred and eighty yards.
- 1:58:34Speaker 19: Man, you had that all day with Adrian Peterson, he
- 1:58:37Speaker 19: needed two to eight in the last game.
- 1:58:40Speaker 1: They went for it. He was nine yards short, but
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: they went for You go for.
- 1:58:43Speaker 4: Records when you're that close. I understand the sentiment of
- 1:58:47Speaker 4: being honorable, but when you the closer you are, the
- 1:58:51Speaker 4: easier it is to go out and play. And we
- 1:58:53Speaker 4: are in the ocean.
- 1:58:56Speaker 27: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 1:59:00Speaker 27: It's time to wrap things up. On the Sports Junk
- 1:59:03Speaker 27: Show with Wayne Candy.
- 1:59:33Speaker 1: When you're outside of the club and you think I'm.
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: Go to my head shot above the truck shouted shouty
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: call the boats head, nosk, how knowscape brod Hollywood coat
- 1:59:54Speaker 2: for your size?
- 1:59:55Speaker 33: And again this much home just admitted to men par
- 1:59:59Speaker 33: as I I like to say, for all you be
- 2:00:01Speaker 33: out there mad at the credit guards, white fees, use cash.
- 2:00:05Speaker 33: I'm just saying that out loud, go get some cash
- 2:00:10Speaker 33: and pay the people.
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: How about that?
- 2:00:12Speaker 4: But no, my ocean candidate today is all those people
- 2:00:19Speaker 4: that sued Apple and one Apple having to pay out
- 2:00:23Speaker 4: ninety five million dollars for eavesdropping by Siri.
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: But I thought the whole purpose was Siri was supposed
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: to always be listening to you, to me, so I
- 2:00:36Speaker 2: could tell.
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: Her what I want. But she ain't supposed to. Her
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: order is to eavesdrop, right, but you ain't. You ain't
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: saying it. You ain't say but I gotta listen eavesdropping
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: is I'm listening? No, no, no, that's that's logical, that's
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: not legal. Ninety five million.
- 2:00:56Speaker 4: Dollars Apple is probably just one of those cases when
- 2:00:59Speaker 4: you talk about the big billion dollar corporations.
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: It's easy just to pay you to go away.
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: But the whole point of Siri and all those other
- 2:01:07Speaker 2: devices you use with voice commands is to listen.
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: For your voice.
- 2:01:12Speaker 2: Soon as you walk in, Siri turn on the light,
- 2:01:16Speaker 2: Alexa turned down the music.
- 2:01:19Speaker 4: They're listening.
- 2:01:20Speaker 1: That is called eavesdropping. So slap yourself.
- 2:01:25Speaker 2: You aren't supposed to hit me, say pull out some sighs.
- 2:01:30Speaker 2: So for that, you Apple lawsuit people.
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: Fuck the plank. And even though the show is over.
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: Bit Kenny, we still are not pulling outside of me.
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: It's a family show.
- 2:01:48Speaker 2: Is from command Greg Kenny, funny Man himself, the sports jock.
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: We hope you have a good afternoon. Peace, spin Pa
- 2:02:06Speaker 1: Pa sp
