Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_06]: because I believe them.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_06]: I believe everything he said.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_06]: My main job was to make sure he got home safe because if anything happens to him, all the dreams and things that we talk about is out of the window.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_02]: That lack of belief for yourself and more believe in somebody else is what allows your dream to die.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's how people have control over you.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_06]: I felt like when she put me into that, that was God telling me again, is you gonna speak of this time?
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: You would have not said a word about nothing that happened with you with Diddy.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: Had you not been added in the lawsuit by Cassie?
- 0:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm not going to let nobody do that to my mother or nobody do that to my sister or nobody do that to my daughter.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: You did time in prison.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: You was with him for nine years.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like you didn't have a choice.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody else had the heart to step up.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody else can't what was happening to it.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_02]: What has been your biggest lesson that you learned about business, marketing, life, working with pub, then you know, rock was what would you say the biggest lesson you learned in that in that period?
- 1:07[SPEAKER_06]: Honestly, it's a lesson that I don't like, but it's a lesson that needs to be learned.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_06]: And that's
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: I know you want to watch this next video, but listen, if you are an entrepreneur, business coach, business consultant, or a small business owner who has a story and wants to learn how to create multiple strings of income from your story, I need you to text me right now.

- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: I have been an author for over 12 years, I've written 10 books, four of them have been best sellers, and I've sold over 100,000 books.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: But I've also helped a lot of my clients, take their expertise and put it into a story, then create multiple streams of income from that.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I wanna help you do the same thing.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: So text my book to six, four, six, six, eight, seven, four, one, five, two.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: I, let's go back to the video.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: So welcome to another awesome episode of Inside the Vault with Ascash, the greatest money mindset show on the planet.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: Today's show is a special show we got Roger Bonds in the building, a high level sales strategic and cultural marketing, best known as I was some people being no him.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: as Denny's long-time head of security, but some may not know that he was the head of Sarak Boy's South, where he helped drive millions of barrels of Sarak Vaka through territory-based execution, influence marketing, and loyal driven distribution.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: His expertise sits at the intersection of street-level promotion, regional grand domination, cultural credibility, high-value sales,
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: understands how products actually move, how trust converts to transactions, how most brands fail outside of theory.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: He is the author of the upcoming book, Bonds, and we're going to talk about that.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm excited to have him in the building.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_02]: Roger Bonds is in the building.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: I love you.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I appreciate you, bro.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I think for a couple of reasons, man, like I think number one, you know, just kind of getting it out there, like a lot of people have seen you recently, and you know, the redemption, ditty documentary,
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of people kind of don't understand who you are, you know, what you represent, where you come from, you come from my hometown, I'll tell you all the men what I see.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: But before we even get there, for those who don't know, man, who is Roger Bons?
- 4:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'm a master, I'm a master, molecular, you know what I'm saying?
- 4:12[SPEAKER_06]: And when I say master, I say I've been marketing all my life, you know what I'm saying?
- 4:16[SPEAKER_06]: We've been marketing, growing up in the Harlem, growing up on the streets, and I just sat back and took that to it when I had the opportunity to take those same values, the same principles and I said, damn, if I put this into
- 4:32[SPEAKER_06]: So rock it that particular time, but just not so rock anything that I do to has to do with selling something.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_06]: I say it'll be successful.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_06]: So when I say who's Roger Barnes, I'm a jack of all trade.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: Talk a little bit about like how sort of like the streets prepared you for being able to market, right?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: Because I feel like
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I, I've always had this thing like I grew up in the St. Nicholas, I was a project on 29th of a new, I grew up in an era where, you know, I was surrounded by drug dealers, I was surrounded by, you know, people who just got money.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I learned, I didn't have like mentors for real.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like I learned the art of selling.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: I've learned marketing.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: I learned strategic negotiations even from drug dealers, luckily for me, my OGs kept me out the street.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: I played basketball, why not, you know, having a career in banking and all that good stuff that allowed me to use the same skill set to be successful in corporate America.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: talk a little bit about that like, you know, you know, you growing up, you know, talk a little bit about your history, but like how, how did what you saw in the streets help, you know, as you, you know, as you started working in, you know, like basically easy.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_06]: If you sit back and you analyze, what, what, what went on in the streets when it was congested.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody had work, you know what I'm saying?
- 6:01[SPEAKER_06]: So it's the same thing when you're dealing with the liquor business.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_06]: And I tell people that all the time, people say yo, but there's so many different brands out there.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, but what's going to separate the boys from the men?
- 6:12[SPEAKER_06]: The same thing that separates you on the block.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 6:15[SPEAKER_06]: Who got the best work is one thing, right?
- 6:18[SPEAKER_06]: But it's not about who got the best work all the time.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_06]: It's about who got the best people, who got the best marketing.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_06]: And back in the days, we didn't call it marketing.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_06]: Because we all basically had the same work.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_06]: You had red top, you had green top.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_06]: I had yellow top, but guess what?
- 6:37[SPEAKER_06]: We got the work from the same connect.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_06]: You don't say it, but if you act as a female, or if you act as a cracker, that, or if you act as a cocaine, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that,
- 7:03[SPEAKER_06]: Simply because it's convenient.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:06[SPEAKER_06]: We all live broad stuff simply because we know if we go to that block, they're gonna be outside.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_06]: Raving it, going to somebody else's block, who got better work, but when you go there, they're not dead.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:18[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what we did.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_06]: I make sure every day we beat that blocker.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_06]: It's not gonna be a day that nobody's not dead.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:28[SPEAKER_06]: So I knew that I wasn't that early.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:33[SPEAKER_06]: make sure it's convenient.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_06]: Make sure you put it like and people want continuous comes.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_06]: So I did the same thing with sarah.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_06]: I sat back and I watched puff and he had sarah boys, which was meek meals, Rick Ross, him, and it might have been a couple of, it was some woman that was involved.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_06]: I think to Raji.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_06]: P-Hancing got involved in it, and Cassie got involved in it, you know, Lord, London got involved in it.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_06]: So I sat back and watched.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_06]: And one thing I noticed was that it wasn't really nobody from the South that was on a B level or a C level.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody that he was dealing with was on the A level.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_06]: So when I moved to Atlanta, I said, hold up.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_06]: I said, I'm gonna come up with something because I'm gonna tell you the truth.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_06]: The first conversation me and him that had was, you're not gonna make the same money being with me, being with Sarah.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_06]: I looked at him kind of crazy.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_06]: He was like, no, no, you know, you know, honestly, the white people ain't gonna pay you and you ain't underneath my payroll, no more.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_06]: So in one way I agree with him, another way I said, I speak to those bullshit, but I said, okay.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_06]: So now, because even he asked me, he said, yo, what made you come up with Sarah, I'll brace up.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_06]: When you told me that you wasn't going to pay me the same money that I was making, I said yo, I'm from Harlem.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_06]: I'm a figure it out.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_06]: So what I figured out was that for me being with him on an everyday basis like that, I had to put value with that.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_06]: You had a lot of people saying they would survive when they was this than the other.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_06]: But if it came from Roger Bond, somebody that we know is STEM, then it's going to mean a lot.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_06]: So that's what I did when I came down to the South.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_06]: And I named it to rock myself, but it wasn't just the South.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_06]: I had a fully crew.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 9:26[SPEAKER_06]: I had a New Jersey crew.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_06]: I had a New York crew.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_06]: I had a Lana crew.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_06]: I had a California crew.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_06]: So it was what it really was was a bunch of B marketers.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_06]: A bunch of C status people.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_06]: And I gave them a chance.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 9:43[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, they helped me move.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_06]: They helped me move throughout.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_06]: But at the same time, you have promoters in the Lana.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_06]: You have promoters in South Carolina.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_06]: You have promoters who just needed that little help.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_06]: That little push being a part of something and they could go from here to the sky.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_06]: So it was like one hand washing the other.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_06]: Whereas when you dealt with the original Sir Rock boys, you had to be that person already.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 10:11[SPEAKER_06]: So I've been people and people fed me.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: And so just a bad track a little bit though, right?
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: So prior to, so you did sarak boys, so almost like a decade, right?
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like you were part of, or you, you led the marketing, which is how you sold millions of barrels of sarak.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_02]: Prior to that though, you worked about nine years.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: 10 years.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: Had a security.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: So talk a little bit about that transition, like what was, and we talked about it in the book, bonds, loyalty, lies, and the life that almost killed me.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: What was that, like, why was that transition, like, why did you transition from had a security and then now you're like, yo, I want to, you know, I want to do something someday?
- 10:53[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm going to tell you real.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_06]: If you, if you think back to back then, my conversation with him was because of diabetes, right?
- 11:01[SPEAKER_06]: I had got diabetes, so the doctor had told me he said, you know, you can't keep doing what you're doing.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_06]: You can't keep eating that food that you eat and traveling and waking up and doing this that other.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_06]: To me, it was a strategic move because I was tired of being around them.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it was a real talk, it became a dreadful day every day.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_06]: Something that became that was so great traveling all over the world.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_06]: that's supposed to be like, oh, this is, this is it.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_06]: It became dread, dreadful, you know.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_06]: It became, you know, watching him every day, doing the things he was doing, saying the things he was saying.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_06]: He became in reality.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_06]: It became from a person hero.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 11:46[SPEAKER_06]: Because growing up in Harlem, you know what I'm saying?
- 11:49[SPEAKER_06]: Him being black, him being young, him being rich.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_06]: Me watching him treat white people the same way he treated black people when it came to where he was supposed to be at.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_06]: Like I remember one time specific, I think we was in the world of hysteria in France and we was in the elevator and elevated stopped on the floor and
- 12:14[SPEAKER_06]: She got ready to get on the elevator, but then she seen us and she stopped and he stepped from the back and said what I'm not supposed to be on this elevator and I had to respect for him because of that all that went away.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_06]: The more and more time I was with him, you know what I'm saying?
- 12:31[SPEAKER_06]: As we hit our 40s, because we like a two, three-year difference at age.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_06]: So as we hit our 40s, I said, okay, we did all the bullshit.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_06]: We getting ready to calm it down now.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_06]: We getting ready to get this money.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_06]: We would have the conversations about the young getting ready to calm down, getting ready to do this.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_06]: But I noticed that when his kids became of age,
- 12:53[SPEAKER_06]: it was like a second breath of him.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_06]: And the same shit we was doing back then, we were starting to do all over again.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 13:03[SPEAKER_06]: And that's where the unhappiness came to me.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_06]: Me being a father, I started seeing stuff like, you know, he had daughters now.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_06]: So I started seeing a lot of different things that I didn't agree with.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_06]: but I couldn't move it that particular time because it wasn't financially right for me.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_06]: So when I caught Diabetes, I said, this is gonna be the excuse.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_06]: Rave it in me, having to sit down with them and tell them, yo, I'm trying to leave him and him getting better because I've noticed in the video.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_06]: So if I sit in, tell me you're already feeling what you're doing, I don't want to be around you no more than that.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_06]: It's not gonna be like yo, I got to sit down.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_06]: I respect that.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_06]: I got something else we do.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_06]: That's not going to happen.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_06]: What's going to happen is you all, you're gonna go do what you're gonna do now being in jail for as long as I was in jail.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_06]: Then now spending the next 12 years with you.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_06]: It's like, how much what else can I do?
- 13:55[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 13:56[SPEAKER_06]: So when I got the diabetes, that was my way out.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_06]: I had always stayed in contact with people in the office, always stayed in contact with people in the other part of his business.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_06]: because they always wanted to talk to me because I was always with him.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_06]: So I found out that job had opened up as a rock and they said, yeah, we got ambassador to job that's just opened up in New York.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_06]: So I sat down, you know what I'm saying?
- 14:20[SPEAKER_06]: I hit him on a blackberry back then broke everything down to one of the doctors said,
- 14:25[SPEAKER_06]: And he came back to me and said, yo, you know, I usually don't move people from, from this type of job to my executive staff.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_06]: He said, but I'm, I'm, I'm gonna let you do it because you're sick and this down the other.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_06]: So deep down the side, if you look at the face value, it was because of diabetes, but deep down the side.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: It was because man, I, I, I, I, I, what, what, what, what he's going through right now?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I foreseen it 10 years ago, 15 years ago.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't want to interrupt you, mom.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know Ash Cass is giving on some heat.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: but I just wanted to stop because I know a lot of you are looking to start grow or scale your business in 2026 are.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: You're probably either looking for some extra capital to be able to put into hiring, marketing, delegating, things like that and I hope you grow or you're here because you're looking to learn how to add more revenue to my bottom line.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're either looking to start a six-figure funding company part-time or you're looking to add funding as a service where you help small business owners.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: get access to the Capitol just like I do.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: We'll listen.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing a three-day free mastermind won't teach you how to leverage AI to get funding, CQC, click qualified Capitol as easy as one-two to be listened if you're interested because you know that you want to make these next six, much, and best six months.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: All you have to do is go to getthebag, flipthebag.com and I'll see you there completely free.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: Can I wait to see you back to that episode?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I ain't want to be a part of it.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: What do you say?
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: Because I hear, you said, you did time in prison.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: You was with him for nine years.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like you didn't have a choice.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm being around, you know, that type of energy.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: What do you say to the people who are overly critical of you?
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: You're not saying, I mean, you know,
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: you know, silence is golden.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: And some people, I mean, your reputation let's just say as somebody who is highly respected in the streets.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: Some people may look at you at the documentary and be like, nah, you know, I can't believe bonds is talking when I say to those people.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna be real to you.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_06]: I've lost some friends like real talk.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_06]: I've lost people that I thought was real friends Simply because they might call somebody else that we consider friends.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and they're gonna assemble bonds Maybe somebody with you.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_06]: No, man, they gotta make a talk and y'all that they can speak in it, but
- 16:55[SPEAKER_06]: Somebody might say, what is he talking about?
- 16:57[SPEAKER_06]: And he said, but now you're like, I just, I lost a friend from here, you know what I'm saying?
- 17:01[SPEAKER_06]: And he told another friend of mine, now you don't understand what bonds meant uptown.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_06]: You understand, your, his name was gold.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_06]: Like, you know, when he came through, it's out of the, now Nick is just talking different.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_06]: But I look at it like,
- 17:16[SPEAKER_06]: I look at it like what what what what what are you going to be what what do you want to leave here like some people say I want to leave legacy some people say I want to leave my kids money just then But yeah, I want to leave all that too But one of the things that really started getting into me because my son was in cost rate because I had daughters because I got a daughter in the music industry was nah
- 17:40[SPEAKER_06]: I want them to be like, nah, my pipes stood up when it counted.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 17:45[SPEAKER_06]: So that meant more to me and that started meaning more to me than whatever somebody else said because when I sat back, I said, what did I say?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_06]: I said everything that somebody else already said.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_06]: I said everything that this woman already said in court.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_06]: And if you honest with you, I didn't say nothing.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 18:05[SPEAKER_06]: Cassie put me into the lawsuit.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 18:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'm sitting back there.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_06]: I'm getting the phone calls the next day.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yo, yo, yo, you've seen it, you've seen what?
- 18:14[SPEAKER_06]: I ain't never seen it.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_06]: Yo, yo, Cassie, she went dead and she put you in the lawsuit.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_06]: So I tell people I say damn, I was mine in my own business.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 18:23[SPEAKER_06]: Doing my rock boy thing.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_06]: She put me into it.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_06]: So now once you put me into it, it's even two things that can happen.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_06]: I can stay silent.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I could speak up now.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 18:34[SPEAKER_06]: So I always think like whatever you meant to do some way from a fashion God is going to bring it to you.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_06]: You could duck it this way.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_06]: You could go to the left.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_06]: You go to right.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_06]: He's going to bring it back around to you.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_06]: So I felt like when she put me into that that that was my that was God telling me again.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_06]: is you're going to speak up this time, you ain't speak up before, you ain't saying that before.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 18:58[SPEAKER_06]: So I felt like because my daughter's was big now, I said, okay, this is my time, you speak up.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_06]: And then I tell people all the time, I say, yo, I love dating in 2012, right?
- 19:08[SPEAKER_06]: And I say him and Cassie been to give all the way to 2018.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_06]: She didn't put this lawsuit into a 2023.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_06]: Why all this time, she could sit there and say, oh, bonds is the one that helped me.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_06]: So why you worrying about what I said, people say, yo, but you was dead, you was just that another.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_06]: But why you think this girl only mentioned me all the way up to 2023?
- 19:34[SPEAKER_06]: She didn't mention nobody else that's around them to this day.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_06]: because nobody else had the heart to step up.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody else cared what was happening to her.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_06]: So instead of y'all just reditlin' me and saying, yo, he said this, he said that.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_06]: Now he stood up because I know that all of us one thing we all got is a mother.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 19:53[SPEAKER_06]: We might not have systems.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_06]: We might not have honest, but we all got a mother.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_06]: So if this was happening to your mother, would you want somebody to say something?
- 20:01[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_06]: Would you want somebody to speak up?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_06]: And that's how I deal with myself.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'd be like, I'm not going to let anybody do that to my mother or nobody do that to my sister or nobody do that to my daughter.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_06]: So that's the only thing that I say to them and I say once again,
- 20:23[SPEAKER_06]: Did you see any statements from me in this federal trial?
- 20:26[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_06]: Did you see anything that you
- 20:30[SPEAKER_06]: with say bonds brought to the table that these people ain't already know.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_06]: I sit up there and I talk about him beating him Cassie.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, the whole world seen that.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 20:39[SPEAKER_06]: I sit up there and talk about him and Kim having problems in situations.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_06]: The whole world know that.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 20:47[SPEAKER_06]: Whole world know Kim Cutham.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_06]: Whole world know he messed up Kim knows.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, what else can you sit there and tell me that bond said the only reason it means so much
- 21:00[SPEAKER_06]: And that's where I leave it at.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, and I respect that.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: And what about so, so talk a little bit about you know, you talk about just sunbeating and carcerated.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: I know I've you know, just just understanding your story a little more.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: All of the things day in day out that you've done to protect.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you know, you know, as a head of security, like you're putting your literally putting your life on the line for someone, right?
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and promises were made to you.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: Um, some people might say, you know, you had a situation with your son and, you know, you're talking now because, you know, he didn't keep his word as to like, you know, the situation.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_06]: And to that, I might say, I'm, and, and, and.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_06]: you write.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_06]: Some people might say that, but not all everybody says that.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody does not know the story says that.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_06]: And guess what?
- 21:59[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not what's telling me 100% wrong.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 22:03[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not going to sit here and say, yo, me talking and have nothing to do with that.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 22:08[SPEAKER_06]: One thing about me, I'm a be a man, be straight up.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that had a lot to do with it.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_06]: But that's not my
- 22:18[SPEAKER_06]: to me, the type of person he was.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_06]: It's like me and you, me and you get into situations.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_06]: And we all know puff our situations throughout the years.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_06]: And we was living in LA.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_06]: So we always have situations in the club where a shield would be outside, a stuff like that.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_06]: But...
- 22:36[SPEAKER_06]: with the way that a person think and a person move, we always made it home safe.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_06]: And then when you make it home safe, that's when a narcissist I call them or a person is manipulative, I sit there and tell you damn, yo, yo, I could never get up hundred million dollars and not taking you, you know what I'm saying?
- 22:58[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we're in this together, you know what I'm saying?
- 23:01[SPEAKER_06]: So now, some people might say, okay,
- 23:05[SPEAKER_06]: but then when you fund the streets, the one thing a street do or one thing that a person has lived through the streets, the only thing we got is our work.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 23:14[SPEAKER_06]: The only thing we got is our loyalty.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 23:17[SPEAKER_06]: So whereas it might be a nine to five do who's used to that.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 23:22[SPEAKER_06]: He might be used to reporting the work and the boss telling them something and he don't adhere to it.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, boom, boom.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm from the streets.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_06]: So when you sit there and tell me that.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_06]: That's in the back of my mind, your word is your bond.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_06]: Your word is your bond, you know what I'm saying?
- 23:37[SPEAKER_06]: And then when you, I don't have the things that you have, I'm holding on to what you say and I'm not worrying about nothing.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_06]: Like a lot of people say, you know, why when you was with them, you didn't do this, you didn't do that, you didn't do this.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_06]: And I tell them I say, because I believe them.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_06]: I believe everything he said.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_06]: So I felt like I didn't have to do this.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't have to do that.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_06]: My main job was to make sure he got home safe because if anything happens to him, all the dreams and things that we talk about is out of the window.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_06]: So guess what?
- 24:11[SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna give 100% to this situation.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 24:14[SPEAKER_06]: Because I've noted the end of the day, it's gonna be worth it.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_06]: So when it wasn't worth it and I seemed to take the personality was,
- 24:22[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't feel no way about saying the things that he did, saying, saying what he did to me, I felt a certain way about my son because now you're not just playing with my life.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_06]: Not when I sit back and throughout these years, I've seen you speak up.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_06]: I've seen you make certain moves for other individuals, you know what I'm saying?
- 24:42[SPEAKER_06]: And then now that with my son is in a situation where we all know, you're strong and this is Africa, we all know that you're strong enough to pick up the phone.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_06]: I'm with you.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_02]: But also don't know.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: Can you share a little bit about like the situation with yourself?
- 24:56[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, well, in 2011, my son was locked up in the Mibia, Avuga.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_06]: He was charged with a murder charge, right?
- 25:06[SPEAKER_06]: No witnesses, no weapons, no gun was found, no witness.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_06]: Just the fact that he was from America.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_06]: Just the fact that him and a cold defendant, which I don't know, but him and the friend of his was supposed to have a meeting with a guy down there, right?
- 25:21[SPEAKER_06]: And they never had the meat.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm gonna say this, my son never went to the meat.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_06]: It was a man in there to say, yo, the light's going on.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_06]: He never went out.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_06]: She told the police, she said the time that you saying this is happening.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_06]: He was in his room.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_06]: My son was in the room with the maid.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_06]: So she know he was in the room.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_06]: They did away with all that and said, you're the former America.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_06]: They came down here.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_06]: They didn't.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_06]: He didn't go to trial until 13 years later.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_02]: 13 years.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_06]: 13 years.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: He gives a lesson.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: And he's 27.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_02]: For 13 years.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_06]: He sent me jail for 13 years.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_06]: It wasn't until 2023.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_06]: He blew a trial.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_06]: He blew a trial with no witnesses, no nothing.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_06]: It was, it was nobody, nobody said they could say he did it.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody, no gun, no nothing, no fingerprints, no nothing.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_06]: He blew a trial simply being black and being from America, right?
- 26:17[SPEAKER_06]: Not only did he blow a trial,
- 26:20[SPEAKER_06]: The judge was so prejudiced down there, right, which is a white victim, a white judge, which people were saying, you know, how did that happen?
- 26:27[SPEAKER_06]: Because when you think about judges, you think about maybe 115 judges and three of them might be white.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_06]: So they say, how you end up getting a white judge?
- 26:37[SPEAKER_06]: How you end up getting a white victim?
- 26:38[SPEAKER_06]: How you end up getting a white D8 in Africa?
- 26:41[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 26:42[SPEAKER_06]: But it happened.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 26:44[SPEAKER_06]: And the judge didn't give him no time served.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_06]: So when he gave him 29 years in 2023, he told him it starts now, which is illegal, especially for an American.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_06]: You got to treat American a certain way.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_06]: You know, that regardless of what you all do, but for me talking to so many lawyers down there, even if he was from the Mibia, if you do, you get, you get, uh,
- 27:11[SPEAKER_06]: Every day that you serve is a day in jail, so you get credit for that.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_06]: So for him and say that my son was there for 14 years and he's not giving him no credit, that's ludicrous.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_06]: So that's what we fight now.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_06]: So to go back then, and which part knew about because me and him was in Paris when my son got locked up in 2011.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_06]: And our flu straight from Paris and I went to Africa and we dealt with that.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_06]: While I was with him, we were talking about it, you know what I'm saying?
- 27:38[SPEAKER_06]: But as soon as I stopped being with him, it was like out the window, you know what I'm saying?
- 27:43[SPEAKER_06]: Then it was times with me and we were talking and he would be like, okay, we're going to do everything and I'll probably get him home.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 27:49[SPEAKER_06]: Let's get him home.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, how much money you need this that hour and then these things to get pushed to the side pushed to side so yeah I did have my feelings about that But is that the only reason why I spoke up?
- 28:01[SPEAKER_06]: No the only reason I spoke up was one because she put me in it and then too I really felt like this was God bringing it back around to me and I want to make a difference because I That's one thing I'm against I put my mother in that situation.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_06]: I put my sisters in that situation and I don't feel no way about it
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_02]: So for clarity, um, you would have not said a word about nothing that happened with you with Diddy had you not been added in the lawsuit by Cassie.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_06]: Had I not been in the lawsuit.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_06]: I wouldn't have said enough.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't have said it.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: And so, so for those who don't know, literally, you were added in a lawsuit.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then Cassie mentioned your name in the last only one though.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: So I only have a bodyguard.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody else's name is in there, but you nobody else's name is.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_06]: And I hadn't been with them.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_06]: and 11 years and still remember that one incident.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, wow.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: And in that incident that you put in there was you covered to her rescue or?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it was a party that they had on Sunset Boulevard.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_06]: I thought it was maybe the Golden Globes or one of those.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not gonna hold me to it.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_06]: Might have been one of the Marvelwood, but they always have them events right there on Sunset.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_06]: it was a black tie affair.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_06]: So I remember she was talking to Johnny.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_06]: I felt Johnny right.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_06]: I think his name.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_06]: He was the, he was a big time manager back then.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_06]: He had Danny became and all that other stuff.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_06]: So he was always wondering why Cassie career never took off.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_06]: So she was talking about him and getting ready to ask him about management and all that and puffs sort.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_06]: And he just went crazy.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_06]: You know, he grabbed the snatched up through on the ground.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_06]: And I seen it.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_06]: And I ran up the block.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_06]: And I said, yo, what you doing?
- 29:52[SPEAKER_06]: And I grabbed him up off him through the side.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_06]: Try to throw her in the car.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_06]: He went around the car.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_06]: Whole bunch of shit.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_06]: He tried to kick us, stomping all that shit on this car.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_06]: But
- 30:07[SPEAKER_06]: for somebody that you don't want to be helped.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I helped her that night.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't just help her.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_06]: I helped him.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 30:17[SPEAKER_06]: My job as security is I'm helping both of you.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_06]: I'm helping you from stopping getting your ass whip, but I'm helping him for not getting locked up.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 30:26[SPEAKER_06]: Now once we get inside the car, you know what I'm saying?
- 30:29[SPEAKER_06]: She's acting up, he's acting up, but we in the car.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_06]: We get to the house.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_06]: I don't have no control over what goes on in that room.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_06]: And Puff is the type of person that once he see you getting the middle of that, like that, he's not going to do nothing else in front of you, he's going to do it behind you.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_06]: So that's for all the people that say, oh, but this was going on, this was going on.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_06]: No, if they went on, they didn't go on on my watch.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: All right, all right, got it, got it.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: And so now, you know, fast forward, you, you're out of that situation, you find a reason to, you know, to say, you know what, this is my exit, the diabetes happened, you know, I'm doing, I'm doing sarak boys, talk a little bit about, you know, was there, was there support, right?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, selling millions of, I know for me, when I think about sarak,
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: for a long time, did he got all of the credit for that?
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it was like, yo, you see what he did with Shah-Jar?
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: You see what he did here?
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: Was this a port?
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 31:33[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I mean, I'm gonna tell you what it was.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_06]: It was jealousy.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what came in the play.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_06]: And when I say that, people look at you like you crazy, people be like,
- 31:43[SPEAKER_06]: Craig with the fuck right now, you know what, ain't gonna be jealous of you, he's worth at that time, maybe 800 million above all, you not worth nothing is that other.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_06]: But I tell people it's bigger than the money.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 31:55[SPEAKER_06]: Like I had actually one of his best friends coming to me, I see your you need to stop mentioning homie name a little bit more.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_06]: And I said what you're talking about and now when certain people come to you and tell you stuff You know what they didn't think of that on the own.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah You don't say it so I'm gonna go what you talk about now you know me and home He was talking and he just felt like you know you you feel like it's yours and I'm like You know that that sounds like the most ludicrous thing Yeah, you know I'm saying because I'm mentioning his name every chance that I get you know Say, but it just got to a point when we would be out
- 32:29[SPEAKER_06]: when people were he would like go to take a picture and people would be like y'all can bonds getting that picture and he'd look like you know what I'm saying or when we go into a place together the DJ might be like your rock boy boss and the building boom boom and he started looking like you know what I'm saying and it came to a point where
- 32:47[SPEAKER_06]: He would actually get jealous over that.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_06]: And he actually told me one day when we was arguing about some money, right?
- 32:55[SPEAKER_06]: And then this, see, that's what I said.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_06]: It's so many different angles with puff.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_06]: I booked them for years.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 33:02[SPEAKER_06]: If you wanted them to be in it, I was next to them.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_06]: You had to go through me to get to them.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 33:07[SPEAKER_06]: Average person in the books might get 20%.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 33:11[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe if you were...
- 33:13[SPEAKER_06]: what Prof was getting booked, you'll get 10%, you know what I'm saying because it's worth so much money.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_06]: I took it to the point where yo, just give me 5%, you know what I'm saying?
- 33:23[SPEAKER_06]: And it was the argument there to get the 5%, and I'm like, damn, I'm booking to the point where one day he told me, see yo, you shouldn't even worry about that, I made you.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_06]: You made me so so I so I heard that and I said yo, what you say and he was like Now nothing nothing but in the back of my head I said this to get just said he made me Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, so I was born before you made me my name was ringing belt matter fat Don't you remember the reason you rocking with me is because my name was ringing bells of time You know, I'm saying because at that time it was about who you was being security
- 33:57[SPEAKER_06]: It wasn't all the stuff that you get now when you get secured.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_06]: It was about yo.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_06]: I got a moving shake, I got a moving shake for people that other people who know and being that I was in jail so long being because I called the body.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_06]: Being that I was moving around.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_06]: It was like, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_06]: What's up?
- 34:20[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'
- 34:26[SPEAKER_06]: He got to a point where he believed that people failed him and it never was the fear of you It was the fear of the people around you before me.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_06]: It was wolf.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 34:39[SPEAKER_06]: So it's like no you you got the wolves around you and you're not even realizing the wolves is keeping the people Walk so yeah, do I feel it?
- 34:47[SPEAKER_06]: Do I feel a certain way?
- 34:49[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care what at first I did care what people say
- 34:52[SPEAKER_06]: But now I'm at the point where I've been able to get with them.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_06]: People don't know what I went through them.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_06]: People don't know what was promised to me.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_06]: Then people don't know the loyalty and the lies.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_06]: And everything else, they don't most kill.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_06]: Life that all was going to fall.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_06]: They don't know that.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 35:06[SPEAKER_06]: And that's the reason for the book.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 35:08[SPEAKER_06]: To explain all that.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_06]: But the main reason for the book is not even to tell about puff.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_06]: That's it.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_06]: It's to tell.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_06]: the youth.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_06]: It's the tell-dos that just came on from jail because see, my fault too is when I listen to people say, why you stayed so long?
- 35:26[SPEAKER_06]: what I try to tell people now is don't stay long.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_06]: Don't stay so long to the point where you can't do nothing else.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_06]: Don't stay so long that you get in your 40s and you like them, but I can't do nothing else.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_06]: It's like standing in the marriage when you know in the first two, three years we ain't gonna make it, but then you get divorced 20 years later.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_06]: And it's like damn, I just wasted by the buck.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_06]: You don't say, I'll be the first one to admit, I kind of knew that this wasn't going to work.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_06]: I kind of knew it was going to go, we was going to go, but I thought I would have an exit plan.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_06]: Then it comes to the point where you do it so long, there is no exit plan.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_06]: And that's where I fucked up that.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: And so,
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's a lot the impact and I appreciate, you know, I appreciate, you know, that you're telling the story because, you know, again, when we look at your life now, like you've been through a lot of sandals, you learned a lot, you had a space right now where, you know, again, you did a rock voice 10 years.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_06]: And even with the wrong, even with the wrong ways of going back to your question, it was no support there.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_06]: You would think that after so many, we were moving cases, you know, saying, I got that ambassador the year one, two years in a row.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_06]: from actually sarak, not puff, but from sarak, right?
- 36:45[SPEAKER_06]: Because they know, you could watch the numbers.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_06]: In marketing, you watch the numbers, you watch the graph, will we suddenly know that?
- 36:52[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, our numbers is all of a sudden it's going up and fully.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, all of a sudden it's going up and Alabama.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_06]: All these B cities that nobody else was paying attention to, that's what I paid attention to.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_06]: I paid attention to the cities that nobody else paid attention to.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_06]: But you gotta always remember, you gotta on-market and off-market, right?
- 37:11[SPEAKER_06]: So now Atlanta, you're going inside the club, you're gonna pay $300 for a bottle of syrup when it was at its height.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_06]: You're gonna pay $250 to $300, right?
- 37:22[SPEAKER_06]: So you go to Alabama who don't have the clubs, like you go to North Carolina, who might now have the clubs that Atlanta has, New York has DC at where they going, they're going to the liquor store.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_06]: they're going to the liquor store to buy the liquor and then they're going back to the crib or they're going back to a little shimding where they have a party.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_06]: So now if you're somebody there that's how you going run up the numbers.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 37:47[SPEAKER_06]: And that's why I say the street taught me that.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_06]: But I can't sit in line and say,
- 37:53[SPEAKER_06]: Puff it.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_06]: Puff it didn't teach me nothing because you'd be a fool to be underneath somebody like that and not learn.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 38:01[SPEAKER_06]: So a marketing game I took from the street then I took the part that he showed me business wife and I put them together and that's how we came up with that.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_06]: And I was in my feelings because they would ask me, oh, I puff don't never mention us.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_06]: Why puff don't never say that in the boss or rock way south.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_06]: So I had to keep moving and keep going even though I didn't have no support.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_06]: I had to act like we was getting support Yeah, I had to act like I would be on the phone with him and we would be you know He said we could do this we could say I was doing all that on my own because I knew it the end of the day The only thing that people really care about is the numbers.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_06]: They don't care how you got the numbers They just look at the numbers
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: What would you say?
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: What has been your biggest lesson that you learned about business, marketing, life during that?
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a now called at the 20 year span of work with Puff.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: Then, then, you know, so rock boys, what would you say is the biggest lesson you learned in that in that period?
- 39:03[SPEAKER_06]: Honestly, it's a lesson that I don't like, but it's a lesson that needs to be learned, and that's to put yourself first.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, okay.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 39:12[SPEAKER_06]: Because the whole time that I was doing that, I always thought about how it would affect somebody else.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_06]: I always thought about how it would help.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_06]: I love a promoter or hybrid, because I always feel like I was took him care.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_06]: So everything that I did, I did for other people to try it, for it to help them.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_06]: You ain't got the money you don't worry about it.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to get it done.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 39:36[SPEAKER_06]: And nobody cares.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 39:38[SPEAKER_06]: So the biggest lesson I learned, which I should learn from him.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_06]: because he told me that lesson from day one, I don't care about nobody else but myself, you know what I'm saying?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_06]: And when I say myself, I don't mean that he don't care about his family and stuff.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_06]: I mean that he just cares about his family and his preservation first and I didn't.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_06]: So that's the one thing that I learned.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: So just kind of playing devil's advocate though, if you look at
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: this lesson that you learned from him and how he kind of worried about himself, things that that nature.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: But if you're looking at where he is right now, it kind of looked like, you know, that boomerang, just kind of that karma boomerang kind of came around, what, what,
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know, would you say that like that type of lesson, you know, it didn't look like it worked out for him.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: I guess it's what I'm saying.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: And so, and so, you know, the fact that you have, you know,
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: kept a lot of secrets, you know what I'm saying, whether it's the streets, whether it's with him or whatever the case may be.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then now you're at a space where, you know, you know, like you said, God gave you this, you know, second chance, if you will, to to go to Iraq boy, but now even now with Cassey pulling you in a lawsuit and in the book coming out.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: When you, your message to the youth, right?
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: When you're like, you know, Natta, you're going out, you're speaking, your guys come home, you know, what is one message that you wanna give to them?
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, as it relates to loyalty, right?
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: And what I mean by that is, you know, a lot of times, there is like blind loyalty.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes there's loyalty to the wrong people.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: Right, where we live, I know for myself like, I mean, we're from the same place.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: So we live by certain codes, right?
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: And so at the end of the day, like regardless of, and I, I'll even say myself right now, right?
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm in an entrepreneurship space where
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of suckers shit to happen in my space, you know what I'm saying?
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: And regardless of a lot of that suck the suckers stuff that happen, I still have to move a certain way, right?
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like I've had situations where I know it came back to me that there's certain people that were trying to block me from doing something.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: That took money out my pockets, that took money out my family pocket, whatever, and you know, I'm not a, you know, I'm not in the streets.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I can't handle it the way the streets would handle it, right.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: And so I just got it, I just got to eat it.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: But then when it, when it come back around when it's like a level of like your vengeance or I could, I could get people back or whatever.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: I still live by a cold that's like, no, you know what?
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I ain't even gonna play that game and I looked out for people who I shouldn't have looked out for.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: You're gonna say that's so for me, someone will hear that and be like, you know, that's blind loyalty.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, why would you be loyal for somebody?
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this is your opportunity to get back.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: I guess my question to you is like, you know, you know, the youth coming up, especially when we hear all this like this young thugs stuff, the gunner stuff, the, you know, 21 side of it's saying after streets, like all of that is happening, like what do you say to the youth, like what's the true narrative?
- 43:15[SPEAKER_02]: Is it below you?
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: No matter what is it,
- 43:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know, don't give blind loyalty is it remove yourself from certain situations once you see somebody's character like what's the lesson that you that you that you give it to them.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_06]: I think what you just said is a little bit of everything.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 43:36[SPEAKER_06]: You got to put yourself in your family first.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 43:40[SPEAKER_06]: That's one thing that I learned.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_06]: The second thing that I learned is loyalty.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_06]: And when you say loyalty, loyalty to what?
- 43:47[SPEAKER_06]: Do you owe that person more loyalty than you owe your family?
- 43:51[SPEAKER_06]: Then you owe your loved ones?
- 43:52[SPEAKER_06]: Then you owe yourself.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 43:55[SPEAKER_06]: and pull yourself away from a situation.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_06]: So it goes back to all of those things happening at the early time.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_06]: Because a person sends you signs.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 44:05[SPEAKER_06]: We choose the ignore the signs looking at the bigger picture, you know what I'm saying?
- 44:10[SPEAKER_06]: And to answer your question about people that you got to deal with that you know did you wrong?
- 44:16[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes they're more powerful than you.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes you need them to get where you're going, but mentally you gotta put them in that box.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_06]: And you gotta say yo, I don't forget what that person did, but I'm not gonna let them change me or I'm not gonna carry that misery around every day, because they still live in a life while you miserable.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_06]: But when it comes back around,
- 44:42[SPEAKER_06]: I remember we're having last time, so I got them up in that box.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_06]: A lot of times what happens is we let time, we forget.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying like, and I tell people that all the time, like I had a rapper and he was like, um, Matter of fact, my daughter, my daughter, which sings before she got a deal, she was saying, but that person wasn't, wasn't dealing with me, just that lover.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_06]: So I had to tell her, I said, that's life.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_06]: you know what I'm saying?
- 45:10[SPEAKER_06]: You can't get mad at somebody who didn't give you a shot when you was nobody and then now when you start looking like you're going to become somebody that same person now got time for your phone call.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_06]: You can't hold that in because this is that's business.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 45:26[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying, but you just got to put them in that box, you know what I'm saying?
- 45:31[SPEAKER_06]: You got to let them know, like, okay, I see because you still could be turning down some money by acting funny with them.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_06]: They still that person.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_06]: They still get money.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_06]: They still can open doors that you can't open.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_06]: So you just got to play with them.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_06]: When I say play with them, I mean, you just got to put them in that box.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_06]: I know that they're not there for this.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_06]: They're there for that.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what I tell them all the time.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: And that's good perspective though because I think that you know again, like even even from a co perspective, like I've seen that I've seen people have these opportunities, let's just say, but because of emotions, right, because they take things personal or emotions or whatever, um, they lose those opportunities, right.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: How do you, um,
- 46:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know, how do you get to a space where you manage emotions and separate sort of like the streets from, you know, like, like the rules of the streets don't work in business or work in corporate America per se.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: They work, but they don't.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: And so, you know, you know, this times where like certain, like certain people would play with you if it was the streets.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: right now you get on the internet or now you're doing business like people feel like they could they could talk to you or play with you how do you manage that emotion or how do you manage that i'm not going to call it rage but you know some sounds it's like go well like who you let's say like like like like you don't even know what type of animal i am for real you don't
- 47:10[SPEAKER_06]: It's funny, because you know, I had a friend that just asked me, he's your man, I'll be watching your Instagram, he's your man, I get kudos to you.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_06]: He said, because I heard that dude, I'm not heard it, but I've seen that dude say this and say that, I can do that shit, Joe.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_06]: And it all comes with maturity.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_06]: And all come, you gotta remember the same way people come in me about puff.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_06]: I gotta sit there and remember, you won't even know puff.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying so when you say this and you say that I got to remember you don't know what the conversation You don't know what the promise is you don't know what the talks.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_06]: You don't know nothing Yeah, so you got to remember that when you're dealing with that and then you made a choice You know I'm saying you made a choice if you're gonna be in the street you're gonna be in the street But you can't have one foot in and one foot out.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_06]: It don't never work.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_06]: We've seen it in the many times
- 47:56[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 47:57[SPEAKER_06]: You can have one foot in one foot out and still get a hundred years because that one foot that you had out.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_06]: So it's like, okay, if I'm gonna do business and I'm gonna do corporate like it's so many people, man, this is my word.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_06]: I had to do, I had to do the host a lot of parties there and he said, yo, I was in the barber shop of a day.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_06]: He said, um, I don't, you know, gangster looters, that was easy and then I said, yeah.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_06]: He said, yo, he was talking about you over there.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_06]: I said, where are you saying you want him to have a beef back in the days?
- 48:24[SPEAKER_06]: I'm fine.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_06]: He said yo, that he said y'all.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_06]: So rock, where he bonds?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_06]: He said yes, rock, where he bonds?
- 48:30[SPEAKER_06]: So you got to remember that you crossing over.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_06]: Like that's yesterday.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_06]: Don't nobody want to hear about that.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_06]: So you got to be the person that don't want to hear about that.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the person that can make the transition.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_06]: One thing that I could say,
- 48:46[SPEAKER_06]: as being security, right, puff with say when he had these means, he would be like, no, don't leave such a such in there.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_06]: Now, bonds could go in there.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_06]: That bond sitting there with them.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_06]: And then when he would come back again, me and then people would be talking.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_06]: And he'd be like, late, don't want you to get what you're always talking about.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 49:03[SPEAKER_06]: No, we're just kicking it.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_06]: Because you got to know how to turn it to that person that's dealing with that situation.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_06]: Like if a person if I don't sit there and tell the person I've been locked up if I don't sit there and tell the person I had a murder charge there never know Yeah, because I'm not gonna open my mouth and just from my vocabulary and the way I talk Oh, yeah, he from Says it's such not you not gonna know that so if you make that transition you gotta take everything that comes with that transition
- 49:31[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 49:32[SPEAKER_06]: It's like a paper gangster.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_06]: You got to realize it's gangsters in corporate world That was a percentage of just paper gangs all the more gangster than in the gangster with the gun Exactly understood you know if you want to risk your life you will go out there and wait for them after work And all that but then what we call civilians
- 49:48[SPEAKER_06]: So if they surveillance, you don't say that mean to take a run right back in that building, call 911 and you're going to get 100 years.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_06]: So it's up to you.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_06]: So if you choose to go on this side right here, this is what you're going to do.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_06]: But if you choose to be in a street being a street, but you can't do both.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_06]: I chose to go corporate.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_06]: So I had to swallow, because you go through the same things, because I didn't go to college for being a marketer, right?
- 50:11[SPEAKER_06]: So I dealt with the doos that went to college and everything doing the behind the door shit.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_06]: and everything and I'm like, oh, why the fuck, why do they do that?
- 50:20[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 50:21[SPEAKER_06]: Because I'm still in the street mentality saying we don't do that and I had to realize now, we're not in the street.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 50:29[SPEAKER_06]: We incorporate.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_06]: So I would say like,
- 50:32[SPEAKER_06]: Forget those people that's just talking.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_06]: Realize they don't know you realize they don't know the people that's in there And then just stay on a track.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_06]: You got and then honestly Honestly, and this is not for TV.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_06]: I never like that You got to put God at first Like you got to put God first because God is gonna be your Calm and down methods.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying like when I get to that point
- 50:56[SPEAKER_06]: I just start praying.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 50:59[SPEAKER_06]: And it's just, and it just calms you down.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 51:02[SPEAKER_06]: It's the same way when I was in solitary confinement.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm sitting in there for 23 hours a day, right?
- 51:07[SPEAKER_06]: And when they put you in there, the walls that's talked to you because you stuck in a little room and your heart is beating bad fast and you looking around and the flap on the door is closed and it's nothing going on.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_06]: It's only one person you could talk to.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_06]: And that's God, you know what I'm saying?
- 51:23[SPEAKER_06]: And after 20, 30 minutes, your heart is still slowing down.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_06]: You stop being so, and be honest with you, it was times that they opened the door for me to go to the yard.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_06]: And I'd be like, yeah, I ain't going out.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_06]: I'm standing in the room for 24 hours of the day.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_06]: And it don't bother me.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_06]: And that's because I got right with God.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what you got to do.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_02]: No, love that, love that.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_02]: Puff is home today, calls bonds, would you think the first thing he's saying to you is?
- 51:53[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I said it, yeah.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_06]: You know, that was some bullshit that was on, you know what I'm saying?
- 51:59[SPEAKER_06]: But to be honest with you, if he uses the time to think, you know what I'm saying?
- 52:06[SPEAKER_06]: And the back of his head, I would say the same thing like, if me and somebody was into, somebody who's with me for 10 or 12 years.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying now we used to give over 20 years, but we was together every day 10 years.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we lived together in Beverly Hills.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_06]: We lived together here.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_06]: So my room was downstairs.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_06]: This room was upstairs.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_06]: So this is somebody that hears everything, knows everything, done everything.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_06]: So in the back of my mind, I'm saying, I shit that he talked about was enough.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 52:38[SPEAKER_06]: So me, that's me, myself, if I'm gonna be mad enough about it, I'm gonna be like,
- 52:44[SPEAKER_06]: I was wrong, you know what I'm saying?
- 52:47[SPEAKER_06]: And we sit down and talk about it.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_06]: It ain't nothing that, it ain't nothing that you could do for me now.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 52:55[SPEAKER_06]: And people say yo, if I was to say yo, he got X, Y, Z for you, would you take it right now?
- 52:59[SPEAKER_06]: I wouldn't take it.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_06]: And that's the honest, the goodness truth, because now I feel like it's dirty money.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 53:05[SPEAKER_06]: It's like blood diamonds.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 53:08[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like it's dirty money.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like if you gave it to me now, it's not coming from your heart.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_06]: you know what I'm saying where's before I would have felt like it came from your heart.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_06]: So if you got on the phone and said yo, what the fuck is your problem?
- 53:19[SPEAKER_06]: I would explain to him exactly what my problem and I would hope he would be mad enough to say, okay, you right, I just want to hear what you just want to say.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: When you think about, you know, this new book.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_02]: and your mission and where you want to take your life and your mission and what you want your legacy to be, what does the next 5, 10, 20 years look like for bonds?
- 53:46[SPEAKER_06]: for shit if I got 20 years left.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_06]: God's will.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_06]: I'm saying God's will.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_06]: You're saying now I wanted to be that you know, I listen to like this, this made me go to the domestic violence.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_06]: So I, you know, I got my certification in the domestic violence.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_06]: I went back and got my certification and anger management.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_06]: I went back and got my certifications and things that.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_06]: I felt like it was my calling from the beginning.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_06]: And like I tell people, I don't talk about nothing that I've never been through.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 54:17[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm not going to sit in and just tell you book novels.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to put book novels along with experience.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 54:23[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm going to say,
- 54:25[SPEAKER_06]: What I want to do is stop that person from thinking that they not enough, right?
- 54:32[SPEAKER_06]: Because that's what I thought at the beginning.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_06]: I thought like, okay, yeah, I got a shot.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I've been in jail.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_06]: I got a shot.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_06]: This is all I can do.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 54:42[SPEAKER_06]: So I would tell the next person, first of all, that's not all you could do.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 54:47[SPEAKER_06]: I would let him know to believe in himself.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_06]: Because see, that's what that's how this whole thing got entangled, I didn't believe in myself.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_06]: I believe that somebody else more than myself, you know what I'm saying?
- 54:59[SPEAKER_06]: I believe that somebody else dreamed more than my dream, you know what I'm saying?
- 55:03[SPEAKER_06]: Because I let myself cut myself off or say, damn, my past is going to be my future.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, that's what I mostly tell a lot of the young dudes that I talk to.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_06]: And then the dudes that I talk to that come home from jail,
- 55:17[SPEAKER_06]: I let them know, yeah, you won't bump into a lot of different obstacles, right?
- 55:21[SPEAKER_06]: Unless you do something for yourself.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 55:25[SPEAKER_06]: Because at the end of the day, people don't care about your past, as long as you could bring in their money.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_06]: As long as you could bring in the money, they don't care what you did in the past.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 55:36[SPEAKER_06]: So at the same time that you were enriching yourself, you were enriching others.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_06]: So what can you do?
- 55:41[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 55:43[SPEAKER_06]: That you can become important, not only to your family, but to other people, to the world, and to the future.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 55:51[SPEAKER_06]: So that's what I tell the kids.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_06]: And when it comes to the girls, you gotta talk to them a whole different way.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 55:59[SPEAKER_06]: And I always tell the woman,
- 56:02[SPEAKER_06]: and it's kind of hard coming from a man perspective, but I always tell a woman that you gotta believe in yourself because Cassie, it's a man Cassie's out there.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_06]: It's a man Cassie's who wanted so bad that they were willing to go through those trials, triple laces, and belittle they self on a dream.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 56:24[SPEAKER_06]: But when you think about it, that's because they want the easy way out.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_06]: You don't say, because if you got talent and you willing to take the long road, you wouldn't care about a puff.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_06]: You wouldn't care about nobody else because you know that this is what you do.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_06]: But when you bump into people like that, that it enables them to take advantage of you.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to do this for you.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to give you this and you hope and know, believing yourself and believing God and then to come through.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, no, no, no, no, I think that's powerful because one of the things that I'm taking from this as well is that a lot of times, you know, that lack of belief itself and more belief in somebody else is what allows your dream to die, but then also that's how people have control over you by and while you think.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_02]: Man, and this is powerful, right?
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: While you think that you're sacrificing or you're sacrificing something for your dream, you're actually sacrificing the dream.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly, because even when I think about Cassie, right, to the point where, I mean, yes, she was able to get millions of dollars, let's just say, but at what cost?
- 57:41[SPEAKER_02]: at what cost and to the point where anybody who's ever gotten money knows that it's not really the money, you know what I'm saying?
- 57:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, all right, so now you've got money, but you never really was able to live out your dream, for being a star for your voice, for like, you know what I'm saying?
- 58:02[SPEAKER_02]: And so like, yeah, people knew you were not, you know what I'm saying?
- 58:06[SPEAKER_02]: Now, from a legacy perspective,
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: Your legacy, and I'm saying, Cassie now, like your legacy is built off of, it's connected to something negative.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, I just had a daughter.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_06]: So I say, okay, is my daughter going to grow up and she going here this or she going here that, but no, what means the world to me is all of the people that sit there and tell me, yo, I'm so happy you finally saying something.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_06]: I'm so happy you're talking because I think about her.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_06]: And I say she's going to be like, okay, he started out on this trail, but I tell people all the time, it ain't how you start.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's how you end.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 58:41[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what I want to end.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_06]: And I want the legacy to be about somebody who came from the streets.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 58:48[SPEAKER_06]: But somebody who understand like what you said 20 was having said the streets is over.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the streets is over.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_06]: And I think when you get to a certain age, you've got to accept that the streets is over.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_06]: So if you haven't made it by that age right then, you've got to say the same thing, the streets is over.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_06]: And this is what I want to be remembered of.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_02]: For sure, for sure.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: So A.B.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: Lissett and Man Barnes, loyalty, lies in a life that almost killed me, definitely a great read, definitely documentary,
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, you're like, that's one of the things, like, I'm honored that I was able to work on a book with you, but like your life really like reads like a documentary and I think I think that was one of the reasons why I felt like it was important to help push and get the story out there because to that point, right, like.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: In some ways, the world is connecting you to this whole situation where the true fish Roger Banz is bigger than that.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying when you think about the legacy that you've had and Harlem, the legacy that you had on the opposite side, like there is a life that people need to understand.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know, we're on the the the side of all right, like how can you use your story to be a blessing to others and now, you know, we want to see your on stages.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_02]: We want to see you, you know, talking more even you know, I'm saying great storyteller.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_02]: So, so potentially podcast coming out soon, potentially.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_06]: My thing is this I love having you involved in the book and it's been other people that came with you I could do this I could do that but nobody came with a concept like I wanted it to be different You know we all read about people from Holland we all read about the BMFs we all read about so Me being a street dude ain't nothing new.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know every good every city every got a street dude but
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_06]: What differentiates this book from everything else is that The lessons this in it.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_06]: You know it stops and tells you well, this is what you should have learnt from this Yeah, you know I'm saying which is different you know I'm saying because you taking a chance and people saying Damn, I was just looking for some shoot them up banging and banging up the whole time
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_06]: And that's why I say this is for the youth.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_06]: This is why I say this is for the person that came on from jail.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_06]: This is for the person that's in an office even because it's telling you how to deal with people that've been to all these type of things.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_06]: Because a lot of people that's corporate,
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_06]: It's not that they bad people.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_06]: It's just that they really don't know how to deal with a person like you.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_06]: So this book teaches you how to deal with that person.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_06]: This book teaches you about loyalty.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_06]: This book teaches you about lies.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_06]: But it tells you how to move on from it and how to deal with it.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_06]: So you know, that's that's what I wanted to get across.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what we did a great job in doing.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_02]: 1,000 percent.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say the book of bonds.com is where you're going to get the book.
