- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Curious question for you, what's the home screen on your phone?
- 0:34You know, we all have our phones and they are with us all the
- 0:37time, all the time. We all know we carry our phones
- 0:41all the time and we have that beautiful home screen that is
- 0:45right in front of us and we can pick and choose anything we want
- 0:49on our home screen and we can change it as much as we want to.
- 0:52And it represents something to us.
- 0:55Every time we open it, we see it.
- 0:56So what is the home screen on your phone?
- 1:01Have you looked at it lately and really consciously looked at it
- 1:03and said, why do I have this on my, my, my phone?
- 1:07Now, the reason I'm bringing this up is because it's an
- 1:09excellent opportunity to give yourself programming every time.
- 1:15Now, you think about how many times in a day you pick up your
- 1:17phone. You think about how many times
- 1:19in a day you're working with your phone, utilizing it,
- 1:23talking on it, whatever it might be.
- 1:25And that home screen is completely and totally
- 1:28accessible to your eyes all the time.
- 1:31So whatever you have put on it is is programming you.
- 1:36So I change mine often. It's like I like to rotate mine.
- 1:41I put things on it, pictures that I've shot during the day,
- 1:45like if it's one of the beautiful flowers, the chickens,
- 1:49family members, whatever it might be, I change it around a
- 1:51lot. But I often have messages to
- 1:54myself on there, especially if I'm working on something that I
- 1:57want to remember and I want to keep it to, you know, front of
- 2:00mind, top of mind. I, I will make sure that I am
- 2:05utilizing that available screen as something that I can use for
- 2:09my programming. So often a great question that I
- 2:15have used in the past, I haven't had to use it really recently,
- 2:18but for quite some time I would change the font.
- 2:21I would go in, I would make a graphic and then on my computer
- 2:25and then I would take a screenshot of it and I would use
- 2:27that as my thing. And the question would be, who
- 2:31do you choose to be? So I was speaking directly to
- 2:34myself. I'd read the question, who do
- 2:36you choose to be? And in this moment, I would read
- 2:40that and I'd say, God, all right, I need to be better at
- 2:43this. I need to be kinder.
- 2:45I need to be softer. I need to be slower.
- 2:47I need to be more thoughtful. And it would shift me right away
- 2:50because the message was right there.
- 2:52And that phone with me all the time was really helpful in the
- 2:56process of doing it. So if you think about the
- 3:00questions you want to ask yourself on your phone and
- 3:02utilizing that screen because it's so powerful, you really can
- 3:06gain a lot of programming time, but you have to think about what
- 3:11you want it to be. So the the real simple
- 3:14challenge, the real simple aspect of this today is figuring
- 3:19out what do you want to program in?
- 3:21Do you want to stop yourself from eating snacks?
- 3:25OK, that's a great question to ask yourself on your home screen
- 3:28of your phone. How much sugar are you going to
- 3:31consume today? The it's like the phone is
- 3:35asking you the questions. How much time will you take for
- 3:39yourself today? How much reading will you get
- 3:41done today? How many pictures will you take
- 3:44today? What kind of things are you
- 3:47going to accomplish today? All of those things are like
- 3:51great ways to start to put the attention back on what you want.
- 3:56How many steps are you getting today?
- 3:58Did you jump rope today? That's one that I just had
- 4:01recently. Did you jump rope today so that
- 4:04I can start to remind myself of these things.
- 4:07You can use it to utilize it to put your goals up there.
- 4:11If you really want to stay honed in and focused on your goals,
- 4:14then make it so that that that that that time, that space that
- 4:18is a constant reminder of your goals.
- 4:21I wouldn't recommend using it for all of them at once.
- 4:23What I would do is pick and choose two or three and put them
- 4:26on there. One, if it's really focused and
- 4:29you really want to make sure you're focused on it, I would do
- 4:31it that way. But I definitely, definitely
- 4:34would tell you utilize this space because that space is
- 4:37valuable. It is great space to use because
- 4:42you're going to see or your eyes are going to be on it probably
- 4:46no fewer than 50 times throughout the day from the time
- 4:49you wake up. And it's probably a hell of a
- 4:52lot more than that for most people, but it's right there and
- 4:56it's able to be utilized. So ask yourself what questions
- 5:00do I want to ask myself and put on there?
- 5:03What photos do I want to incorporate into it?
- 5:06Do I want to put a better version of myself out there?
- 5:08If you're trying to get healthier and you see yourself
- 5:10looking a certain way in older pictures and you want to get
- 5:13back to that weight or that look, put it on your home screen
- 5:16so you know you're like, that version of me does not eat cake
- 5:19or cookies or something else. Whatever it might be, make the
- 5:23choice because I promise you it will help you immensely when you
- 5:27do. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:29you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:31Bye.
