- 0:00Speaker 1: It is so much more than just a card store.
- 0:04Speaker 1: That's a place to buy gifts with people that you would.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Love cool stuff.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Yep, all right, I've got a couple of things for
- 0:10Speaker 2: Walter to watch. First of all, we gotta look at
- 0:16Speaker 2: another look at the new Running Man movie.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Oh I heard you playing that? Yeah, it opens on
- 0:21Speaker 3: November fourteenth.
- 0:24Speaker 2: And I have to be careful here because the Federal
- 0:27Speaker 2: Communications Commissions they think that you're all, you know, nine
- 0:31Speaker 2: years old and have never heard these words before.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So yeah, you know, I've been thinking about the show
- 0:39Speaker 3: for the next thirty days. Everyone in the country is
- 0:41Speaker 3: trying to murder me. It's over the top action in
- 0:50Speaker 3: this new.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Trailer, and it's crazy, right, people on these games never
- 0:58Speaker 1: come back.
- 0:58Speaker 2: We have no choice. We need money for a doctor.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Now. Welcome to the Running Man.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Contestants will be hunted for thirty days. Anyone can't kill you,
- 1:13Speaker 3: that is, Let's see.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I can't remember Coleman Domingo.
- 1:22Speaker 3: He is the host of the Running Man TV show.
- 1:25Speaker 3: William H.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Macy's in there, Michael Sarah, Josh Brolin, who is who
- 1:32Speaker 2: is like Coleman Domingo's boss. He's running the show, and
- 1:36Speaker 2: of course the the star of the movie, Glenn Powell
- 1:40Speaker 2: as the Arnold Schwarzenegger character.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Sounds to me like they're going to take this concept
- 1:45Speaker 1: and make it a good movie.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I think so.
- 1:47Speaker 2: It's it's more based on the book, the Stephen King
- 1:51Speaker 2: book as opposed to.
- 1:53Speaker 3: That original movie. But lead, dare you bill? That's Richard Dawson.
- 1:57Speaker 1: You know the original one was it was marginal, it
- 2:01Speaker 1: was it was not great, it was okay.
- 2:03Speaker 3: But you know, but yeah, and Lee Pace is also
- 2:07Speaker 3: in it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: He plays this masked character who's kind of a badass.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And when you think about it, Lee Pace is a
- 2:13Speaker 2: perfect choice because he's like six foot crazy.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I've been watching him in Foundation, that thing on Apple.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's really good.
- 2:22Speaker 3: He's good in that.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Another thing that's this is like four minutes, I want
- 2:28Speaker 2: to say, the first episode of the fourth season of
- 2:33Speaker 2: Strange New Worlds.
- 2:34Speaker 3: They showed this.
- 2:34Speaker 2: To folks at New York Comic Con a couple of
- 2:36Speaker 2: weeks ago, and now they've released it on the internet
- 2:39Speaker 2: and you can just you just watch.
- 2:41Speaker 1: It, sir.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I'm getting a calm signal.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Okador signals erratic, but it seems to be coming from
- 2:47Speaker 1: inside the storm.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It's amating, sir. A ship is stuck inside the storm.
- 2:54Speaker 3: That's what the signal's saying. Take us closer, Erica, keep
- 2:58Speaker 3: your foot on the brakes under sid have to Now.
- 3:04Speaker 2: The producers of the show said, yeah, we know that
- 3:07Speaker 2: season three was a little uneven, not great.
- 3:10Speaker 3: You know, we promise season four is better.
- 3:15Speaker 2: So you're going to get an entire season four and
- 3:17Speaker 2: then a truncated six episode season five, which is currently
- 3:22Speaker 2: in production. So season four is done shooting, but they're
- 3:25Speaker 2: just doing all the special effects. So you can go
- 3:28Speaker 2: and watch that first four minutes of that episode.
- 3:31Speaker 3: People just can't suggest signal origin is a booy side
- 3:33Speaker 3: of the storm booie, it's a starship distress booy. But
- 3:36Speaker 3: I can't get a lock on the signal and you
- 3:38Speaker 3: can watch it's it's rather pretty.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Are most of the same people? Oh yeah, yeah, the
- 3:43Speaker 1: whole cast is so a lot of a lot of
- 3:45Speaker 1: those they started out as kids, and so this episode
- 3:48Speaker 1: they're looking for a place at a rest home.
- 3:51Speaker 2: No, not quite yet, quite yet, but I'm going to
- 3:55Speaker 2: direct you to our YouTube channel right now for this
- 3:57Speaker 2: next bit of item.
- 3:59Speaker 3: All up, Drew Strusan, you don't know that name.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Oh, I've read this, Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 2: But you would recognize his work. Go ahead, Dustin or Dawson.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Put that put that up.
- 4:11Speaker 2: He is the King of the movie posters, is what
- 4:15Speaker 2: they call him. He has died seventy eight years old.
- 4:19Speaker 2: News was confirmed earlier this week. Decades of illustrative work
- 4:25Speaker 2: crafting theatrical posters for some of the most iconic pop
- 4:28Speaker 2: culture hits of all time. That one there, we have
- 4:30Speaker 2: the Indiana Jones poster, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Let's hit another one, the thing. Yeah, that's a great poster.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You've seen that one before, of course. And let's hit
- 4:40Speaker 2: Back to the Future as well. That's another one that
- 4:42Speaker 2: you know, those are all iconic. He did a lot
- 4:47Speaker 2: of movie posters and book covers and so just go
- 4:53Speaker 2: and look up Drew Strusan's struz An. He probably did
- 4:58Speaker 2: a movie poster of your favorite movie.
- 5:01Speaker 3: More than likely.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Let's see, in this age of AI, I know people
- 5:08Speaker 2: in the comic book industry are concerned, and they should be.
- 5:13Speaker 2: But DC Comics and Marvel Comics have both come out
- 5:16Speaker 2: and said they will never support genitive AI in artwork
- 5:21Speaker 2: or writing for them. Man So and Jim Lee has
- 5:24Speaker 2: officially made that statement. Marvel said us too. But I
- 5:29Speaker 2: would have liked it if Marvel would have stepped up
- 5:31Speaker 2: a little a little bit more than that. Bain the
- 5:36Speaker 2: villain Batman, he appeared in a series. It was like
- 5:41Speaker 2: twelve issues, so it was like a whole year. I
- 5:44Speaker 2: remember reading this a series called Nightfall.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Back.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Let's see what year was this, ninety four?
- 5:51Speaker 2: I remember reading it ninety three to ninety four, And
- 5:54Speaker 2: this is the legendary story where Bain first appears and
- 5:58Speaker 2: he's the guy who breaks Batman's back and Batman has
- 6:02Speaker 2: to recover and it takes me a year. So Batman
- 6:04Speaker 2: gets a replacement to take over the jobs in Gotham,
- 6:11Speaker 2: and that that character became Azrael. But it's it's a
- 6:16Speaker 2: great read. I would suggest you read it. But if
- 6:18Speaker 2: you don't feel like reading, don't worry. Just wait a
- 6:20Speaker 2: little bit. Sometime next year, Nightfall will be adapted into
- 6:25Speaker 2: an animated movie, like a three parter. Just wait for
- 6:29Speaker 2: you can just wait for that. I would go ahead
- 6:31Speaker 2: and read it, honestly, read it again. It's quite good,
- 6:35Speaker 2: so enjoy that when it comes out
