- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's Mark Simone. Welcome to the bonus segment for
- 0:03Speaker 1: you podcast listeners. Well give you an extra show. Thank
- 0:06Speaker 1: you for being a podcast listener. You can also listen
- 0:08Speaker 1: live ten to noon every Monday through Friday. What a
- 0:13Speaker 1: week it's been. What a week? So yeah, Mom, Donnie,
- 0:18Speaker 1: not a great week for the Democrats. But but doesn't
- 0:22Speaker 1: mean much of anything. Everything will change by the midterms. Democrats,
- 0:27Speaker 1: you know, they're never really happy, they're never really gloating.
- 0:30Speaker 1: They've always got some explaining to do. Look at this
- 0:32Speaker 1: George Clooney giving an interview. I don't know why he
- 0:36Speaker 1: keeps talking about politics. It is the worst thing you
- 0:38Speaker 1: could be talking about. He says he has no regrets
- 0:42Speaker 1: on Remember he introduced Biden at that big rally in
- 0:47Speaker 1: Los Angeles. He brought Biden out. He gave you a
- 0:49Speaker 1: boost for Biden, a big rally to promote him. And
- 0:53Speaker 1: then Biden, of course, was a total vegetable in the debate.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So then Clooney wrote an op ed saying Biden had
- 0:58Speaker 1: to get out. He was the first one to turn
- 1:01Speaker 1: on Joe Biden, big public, big star, turning on him.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Everybody thinks he got permission from Obama. Or was told
- 1:09Speaker 1: to do it by Obama. He wouldn't have done it
- 1:11Speaker 1: on his own. But he pushed Biden out of the race,
- 1:15Speaker 1: so he admits. He says he has no regrets about that.
- 1:17Speaker 1: He admits Kamala Harris was a big mistake, big mistake,
- 1:22Speaker 1: he says. I think the mistake with it being Kamala
- 1:24Speaker 1: is that she had to run against her own record. Well,
- 1:28Speaker 1: it's the same record that Biden had. It was the
- 1:30Speaker 1: Harris Biden administration. So he said, no regrets about pushing
- 1:36Speaker 1: Biden out. But Kamala Harris wasn't the right choice. But
- 1:40Speaker 1: you know, so if you're upset about Mom Donnie, all right,
- 1:42Speaker 1: don't feel bad. We got through Deblasi. We got through
- 1:45Speaker 1: eight years at de Blasio. Democrats are never happy. They're
- 1:48Speaker 1: not happy now. They're not going to be happy with
- 1:49Speaker 1: Mom Donnie. It's going to be an absolute nightmare for them.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Speaking of Obama, his wife Michelle Obama, of course, the
- 1:55Speaker 1: former First Lady, said it was very tough on her,
- 1:59Speaker 1: being the first black first Lady. It was very tough
- 2:03Speaker 1: on her. It was a particularly white hot glare under
- 2:08Speaker 1: the what is that the hell is she talking about?
- 2:10Speaker 1: She got a pass on everything. It was so nervous,
- 2:14Speaker 1: tiptoeing around her all the time, putting her on every
- 2:16Speaker 1: magazine cover. Everybody was so deferential to what is she
- 2:19Speaker 1: talking about? It was tougher on her than anybody was.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Take a look of what Malania Trump goes through. You
- 2:25Speaker 1: want to see what tough is. Look at what my
- 2:28Speaker 1: Milania Trump has to battle from the press and from
- 2:31Speaker 1: everybody else. But these Democrats are never happy. Here's Stephen
- 2:34Speaker 1: Colbert doing an interview bashing his own network. He said, Trump,
- 2:39Speaker 1: the fact that CBS made a settlement to him is
- 2:42Speaker 1: totally damaging the reputation of CBS. What was the reputation
- 2:48Speaker 1: of CBS fake news? That was the That was the reputation. Now,
- 2:53Speaker 1: the person that's been sent in there to clean up
- 2:56Speaker 1: CBS News is Barry Weiss, who was with the New
- 2:59Speaker 1: York Times for years. She's a Democrat New York Times type,
- 3:03Speaker 1: but she's not for corrupt media. She's not for fake news.
- 3:07Speaker 1: She wants it all to be fair and balanced, and
- 3:10Speaker 1: that's why she had to leave the New York Times
- 3:11Speaker 1: and that's why they brought her into cleanup CBS News.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Make it fair and balanced. Well, you've seen these stories
- 3:18Speaker 1: about her traveling with bodyguards all of a sudden, Well
- 3:21Speaker 1: it's not only true, but apparently CBS needs an even
- 3:24Speaker 1: bigger security detail to guard her. They're looking for bodyguards,
- 3:28Speaker 1: they're advertising for them. They're looking for ex Navy seal types.
- 3:32Speaker 1: They want somebody who can bench four hundred pounds and
- 3:35Speaker 1: looks great in a suit. Now, seriously, they're looking for
- 3:39Speaker 1: a lot of bodyguards for her. In fact, if you're interested,
- 3:42Speaker 1: it's contact. What you do is you just go to
- 3:45Speaker 1: jobs THEFP dot com, jobsthefp dot com if you want
- 3:50Speaker 1: to be a bodyguard for Parry Weiss, the new head
- 3:53Speaker 1: of CBS News. Now, why all this security, apparently a
- 3:57Speaker 1: lot of it is that she's been getting death threats
- 3:59Speaker 1: all over the place for her strong support for Israel.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You know, The New York Times is anti Israel as
- 4:05Speaker 1: you can get, and sixty Minutes had been very very
- 4:08Speaker 1: anti Israel, CBS News very anti Israel. Well, she's cleaning
- 4:12Speaker 1: that up. And the fact that she's supporting Israel has
- 4:15Speaker 1: caused her to get all kinds of death threats. And
- 4:17Speaker 1: that's why these it's not just a bodyguard. You'll see
- 4:20Speaker 1: her surrounded by ten bodyguards when she goes to an event.
- 4:24Speaker 1: These Democrats are not happy people. You know, when Elon
- 4:28Speaker 1: Musk bought Twitter, he got rid of the fake news,
- 4:31Speaker 1: the bias. Twitter was very biased. If you were a conservative,
- 4:35Speaker 1: you got shadow band. They would fix the algorithms so
- 4:39Speaker 1: nobody saw your feed. Well, Elon Musk came in and
- 4:41Speaker 1: fixed that. Everybody was equal. They looked for both sides
- 4:45Speaker 1: in an argument, both points of view, and liberals hated that,
- 4:49Speaker 1: so they all ran away from Twitter and they formed
- 4:53Speaker 1: their own Twitter. It's called Blue Sky. It's the Democrat Twitter,
- 4:56Speaker 1: it's the liberal Twitter. They don't want to hear any
- 5:00Speaker 1: opposing point of view. So they all moved over to
- 5:02Speaker 1: Blue Sky and it became very, very very big. There's
- 5:05Speaker 1: millions and millions. That's you know, if you don't see
- 5:07Speaker 1: your much liberal stuff on Twitter anymore, it's because they're
- 5:10Speaker 1: all on Blue Sky. So it got so big Blue
- 5:14Speaker 1: Sky that well a lot of the conservatives thought they'd
- 5:18Speaker 1: better go join it and start tweeting over there. But
- 5:23Speaker 1: they don't like that at Blue Sky, so they're blocking accounts.
- 5:26Speaker 1: If you're a conservative, they don't just shadow man you,
- 5:30Speaker 1: they actually block your account. You're blocked. Guess what The
- 5:32Speaker 1: most blocked account is at Blue Sky the white House.
- 5:37Speaker 1: The white House. Actually the second most blocked account, Number
- 5:41Speaker 1: one is jd Vance. I don't think Donald Trump is
- 5:43Speaker 1: on it, but jd Vance is on it. He's been
- 5:45Speaker 1: blocked by hundreds of thousands of users. The White House
- 5:49Speaker 1: has been now blocked by hundreds of thousands of users.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Biggest on blue Sky AOC She's got over two million followers.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Mark q Ubans are two million followers. A very left
- 6:02Speaker 1: wing sort of guy. Hey, they did this a big
- 6:07Speaker 1: The Travel Report Travel trends, the most beautiful new Fall destination.
- 6:13Speaker 1: What's the trendiest destination trendy No, it's not Spain, it's
- 6:18Speaker 1: not Grease. Trendiest destination right now travel destination new Haven, Connecticut,
- 6:25Speaker 1: New Haven, Connecticut. Yeah, I have no idea. Well, it's
- 6:28Speaker 1: a quick short drive, you know, not short, but it's
- 6:32Speaker 1: held a lot easier in getting to Grease. It's like
- 6:34Speaker 1: two hours from Manhattan if you drive, if you're lucky,
- 6:38Speaker 1: two hours by train. It's the They say the college
- 6:42Speaker 1: town allure of Yale and all that, but it's really
- 6:46Speaker 1: the pizza capital of the world. Frank Peppi's and Sally's
- 6:49Speaker 1: and all of that that could have a lot to
- 6:51Speaker 1: do with there's a lot of one. It says craft
- 6:53Speaker 1: breweries and coffee shops and jazz and indie music venues.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I don't know a lot of places have that. We
- 7:00Speaker 1: got a shoe, We've got a Broadway level theater, the
- 7:02Speaker 1: Schubert Theater. I know, we got twenty of them here
- 7:04Speaker 1: in New York. And if you want to try the
- 7:06Speaker 1: great New Haven Pizza Frank Peppi's and Sally's and these
- 7:10Speaker 1: pizzas that you've heard about, you don't have to go
- 7:12Speaker 1: there anymore. There's a Frank Peppy and a Sally's in Stamford.
- 7:16Speaker 1: There's one in Fairfield, Connecticut. If you're in Long Island,
- 7:19Speaker 1: just wait, there'll be one near you pretty soon. Hey again, mom,
- 7:25Speaker 1: Donnie wins, far left socialist, communist, he wins, And everything's well,
- 7:31Speaker 1: that's the way the Democrats will go. Now, actually, things
- 7:33Speaker 1: will change by next year and you'll have to be
- 7:36Speaker 1: more towards the center. And that's why a lot of
- 7:39Speaker 1: people think Josh Shapiro, the Pennsylvania governor, have a good
- 7:42Speaker 1: shot because he's been towards the center. And keep your
- 7:45Speaker 1: eye in that fetterman. He's been a centrist, so if
- 7:47Speaker 1: you're far left, you're gonna have a problem. Now, Fetterman
- 7:50Speaker 1: has said that they'll try to move to the center,
- 7:54Speaker 1: like Gavin Newsom is now trying to be a centrist,
- 7:57Speaker 1: like a very centrist Bill Clinton, common sense Democrat. He's
- 8:00Speaker 1: trying to do that. But Fatterman points out, you can't
- 8:02Speaker 1: do this stuff anymore because the internet is forever, and
- 8:06Speaker 1: you could try to do that, but they'll just put
- 8:08Speaker 1: together miles and miles and miles, a video of you
- 8:12Speaker 1: in the past and all the crazy left wing things
- 8:14Speaker 1: you said. So not going to work anymore. Hey, what
- 8:18Speaker 1: the hell happened to Tucker Carlson. He's just gone completely
- 8:22Speaker 1: off the deep end, just crazy anti Semitic stuff on
- 8:28Speaker 1: his podcast from he put on one of the biggest
- 8:30Speaker 1: anti Semites in the world and gently questioned him, didn't
- 8:35Speaker 1: go after him, and why would you even give this
- 8:37Speaker 1: guy a for him anyway? And you know they'll argue, well,
- 8:40Speaker 1: he's not if you listen to the clips of him
- 8:43Speaker 1: over the last couple of years, he's the worst anti
- 8:45Speaker 1: Semite on earth. No business being given a forum. Tucker
- 8:48Speaker 1: Carlson did it. Now you get these outcasts who are
- 8:51Speaker 1: no longer working on a network. They've all been fired,
- 8:54Speaker 1: you know, the Megan Kelly, Don Lemon, Jim Acosta, Tucker Carlson.
- 8:59Speaker 1: So they do they do their own shows. You know,
- 9:01Speaker 1: they put together their own little podcast from their living room.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And I guess to get attention, you got to get coverage,
- 9:07Speaker 1: So they'll go do something crazy just to get attention.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Megan Kelly does it all the time, do anything to
- 9:13Speaker 1: get covered, to get some press. But a lot of
- 9:16Speaker 1: people think Tucker going way, way, way too far with
- 9:20Speaker 1: this crazy stuff, just over the top anti Semitic people
- 9:23Speaker 1: on the show, and it doesn't look good. It's really
- 9:26Speaker 1: really strange. Hey, Costco, if you're a big Costco fan,
- 9:30Speaker 1: they got the best hot dog in the world and
- 9:33Speaker 1: the best hot dog bun in the world. It's one
- 9:36Speaker 1: reason people keep getting their Costco membership card. You know,
- 9:40Speaker 1: they don't make a lot of money at Costco on
- 9:42Speaker 1: anything they sell. You can buy a million things in
- 9:44Speaker 1: there and they're not making a big profit. The real
- 9:46Speaker 1: money is from the membership card. You know, it's eighty
- 9:49Speaker 1: dollars a year or one hundred and twenty dollars. Well,
- 9:51Speaker 1: if you got ten million members or it's a ton
- 9:54Speaker 1: of revenue, so that's why that hot dog is still
- 9:57Speaker 1: like a dollar twenty five. They lose money on every
- 10:00Speaker 1: hot dogs sold, but it gets people in the store.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It's the best hot dog in the world and Costco
- 10:05Speaker 1: so they're trying to add to that. Now the food
- 10:09Speaker 1: court is going to have some new stuff. They're trying
- 10:10Speaker 1: to copy Dairy Queen. They started with a carmel brownie
- 10:15Speaker 1: Sunday that's only two ninety nine. You know, Dairy Queen
- 10:18Speaker 1: is absolutely delicious. A blizzard at Dairy Queen phenomenal. So
- 10:22Speaker 1: they tried to copy this and people have tested it,
- 10:24Speaker 1: tasted it, said it's pretty damn good. It's really as
- 10:28Speaker 1: good as Dairy Queen. But it's only two ninety nine.
- 10:30Speaker 1: It's going to be a lot cheaper now. The other
- 10:32Speaker 1: thing they're doing is trying to go after McDonald's. They're
- 10:36Speaker 1: putting together some McDonald's type products, taking them on and
- 10:39Speaker 1: they'll do it a lot cheaper. So there may come
- 10:41Speaker 1: a time where you'll go to Costco. Really you'll just
- 10:44Speaker 1: have the membership card just to go there and eat.
- 10:47Speaker 1: There's a lot of money to be made there on
- 10:49Speaker 1: that stuff. They speaking of food there's a donut place
- 10:53Speaker 1: in Los Angeles that's iconic. It's legendary. Randy's Donuts in
- 10:58Speaker 1: Los Angeles. You've heard about In and Out, which is
- 11:01Speaker 1: the big Hamburger chain in Los Angeles, and it's better
- 11:04Speaker 1: than any other chain. In and Out Burger phenomenal. They're
- 11:07Speaker 1: not coming to New York. People that begged them. They
- 11:09Speaker 1: don't want to come to New York. They just say
- 11:12Speaker 1: it doesn't work. Everything's too expensive in New York, the rent,
- 11:15Speaker 1: the taxes, they just can't make it work. But the
- 11:18Speaker 1: same thing in donuts in La is Randy's Donuts. It's
- 11:22Speaker 1: just iconic in Los Angeles. It's considered the greatest donuts
- 11:25Speaker 1: ever in Los Angeles. It's like the Peter Lugers of donuts.
- 11:28Speaker 1: They got thirty varieties. Well, they're finally opening in Manhattan.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I think it's this week. They're opening in Manhattan one
- 11:36Speaker 1: to eighty five Bleaker Street, corner Bleaker and McDougall. It's
- 11:40Speaker 1: as big as anything ever has been in Los Angeles.
- 11:42Speaker 1: If you watch the Tonight Show. I don't know if
- 11:45Speaker 1: anybody watches the Tonight Show anymore, but with Jimmy Fallon
- 11:49Speaker 1: has been doing a lot of stuff with Randy's Donuts.
- 11:51Speaker 1: But they're finally, for the first time ever coming to
- 11:54Speaker 1: New York. Now, the good news is, with all this
- 11:57Speaker 1: great food stuff coming everywhere, it'll be easier to lose
- 12:01Speaker 1: weight with ozempic and those type of things. There's like
- 12:04Speaker 1: five or six of these ozempic type drugs. Costco is
- 12:07Speaker 1: going to start selling them much cheaper, and President Trump
- 12:10Speaker 1: made a deal this week that Medicare will cover those drugs.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Medicare will now cover Eli Lily and Norvo Nordisk their
- 12:19Speaker 1: ozempic type stuff, the GLP one drugs and you know
- 12:23Speaker 1: those you get those ozmpic it's like twelve hundred bucks
- 12:26Speaker 1: a shot. It's very expensive. But they've made a deal
- 12:29Speaker 1: with these big drug companies. They'll get them for two
- 12:31Speaker 1: hundred and forty five dollars a month, one sixth or
- 12:35Speaker 1: one fifth the price, and start making them really really available.
- 12:39Speaker 1: If Medicare will cover then the remember a lot of
- 12:41Speaker 1: people the weight loss is very very good for some
- 12:44Speaker 1: medical condition, so it really is a great thing. What else, Hey,
- 12:51Speaker 1: speaking of eating, you know remember in your kid you'd
- 12:53Speaker 1: all get around the dinner table and the whole family
- 12:56Speaker 1: would eat. Nobody does that anymore. In fact, you used
- 13:00Speaker 1: to have a TV tray. You get set it up
- 13:01Speaker 1: in front of the TV and watch TV, and there
- 13:03Speaker 1: were TV dinners. Apparently that trend is coming back bigger
- 13:07Speaker 1: than ever, Bigger than ever. People don't want to be
- 13:10Speaker 1: They just want to watch TV or be on their phone.
- 13:12Speaker 1: They don't want to sit around at dining room table,
- 13:14Speaker 1: and dining room tables are out. In fact, TV trays.
- 13:17Speaker 1: A lot of companies now working on real, flashy and
- 13:21Speaker 1: innovative new type trays. It's the new trend. It's coming.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Don't fight it. Don't fight it. Why not you want
- 13:27Speaker 1: to be watching something when you eat? Hey, well, this
- 13:29Speaker 1: has been the bonus segment of the podcast. Thanks for listening.
- 13:32Speaker 1: You can listen live ten to noon any weekday, and
- 13:35Speaker 1: thanks for being with us. Take care, talk to you soon.
