- 0:04Speaker 1: the day for me. How did she do that?
- 0:07Speaker 2: She?
- 0:08Speaker 1: Well, yes, So I went home on Tuesday and we
- 0:12Speaker 1: had that horrible snowstorm and my power was out, and
- 0:16Speaker 1: the power was out for quite a while. I don't
- 0:19Speaker 1: think it came back on until about four in the afternoon.
- 0:22Speaker 1: But we were getting kind of hungry, and uh, we
- 0:26Speaker 1: have a we fortunately we have a gas stove. But
- 0:29Speaker 1: you can't you can't. You know, usually there's electronic igniter,
- 0:34Speaker 1: but if you if that doesn't work, you have to
- 0:36Speaker 1: light it with matches. And we we're looking around for matches,
- 0:41Speaker 1: and we found a little book of matches from Katie's wedding. Yes,
- 0:44Speaker 1: little box of matches from a couple of years ago. Oh,
- 0:47Speaker 1: there they are at x ninety six dot com slash live.
- 0:51Speaker 1: What are they saying on them? Give love a chance,
- 0:53Speaker 1: Love finds a way. Oh, love finds a way. That's
- 0:56Speaker 1: it's like life.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Life finds away love dress.
- 1:00Speaker 1: In the park. There's there a dinosaur in So we
- 1:03Speaker 1: found that we had the We were able to light
- 1:05Speaker 1: the stove and my wife was able to make hot
- 1:08Speaker 1: corned beef sandwiches. Pastrami. I guess it was. You don't
- 1:12Speaker 1: have like a lighter, like a lighter probably somewhere. But
- 1:17Speaker 1: but but isn't it a much nicer story that we
- 1:20Speaker 1: used Katie's matches, Yes, Gina, we could, just could you
- 1:25Speaker 1: describe that lighter again? I have chicken, yeah, a little yes, yes,
- 1:30Speaker 1: I do have one of those. And I have a
- 1:33Speaker 1: big box of diamond matches as well. But Katie's matches
- 1:37Speaker 1: saved the day, which was the point of the story.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Of course they did. Yes, it is satisfying to light
- 1:45Speaker 2: a match, they like. It's a different kind of satisfying
- 1:49Speaker 2: than chicken.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I I always like to have a match instead of
- 1:54Speaker 1: a cigarette lighter when I was a cigarette smoker, because
- 1:56Speaker 1: I could light a cigarette in a windstore with a match,
- 2:02Speaker 1: which you can't do with a lighter a lot of times. Yeah,
- 2:05Speaker 1: there's a technique where you strike the match and then
- 2:07Speaker 1: you cup it in your hands to hide it from
- 2:10Speaker 1: the wind the lighter.
- 2:13Speaker 2: You'd burn your hand.
- 2:18Speaker 1: One of those, yeah, yes, I have one of those.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Some people matches are a little too satisfying. Yeah, oh,
- 2:24Speaker 1: that could be a problem. Yeah, And we kept that
- 2:28Speaker 1: little box of matches from Katie's wedding in the drawer
- 2:32Speaker 1: next to the stove like you do. Yeah, because it's
- 2:34Speaker 1: small compact. Can't put a big little lighter in there.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Just had them there and we had delicious sandwiches. Nice
- 2:42Speaker 1: and Katie saved the day.
