- 0:00.you are listening.
- 0:00Listening to the prepared patient podcast with Dr.
- 0:04Jennifer GNC, where we discuss what it really takes to heal your body.
- 0:09With the symbol tools we source is a mindset to get you there.
- 0:13I am determined to show you the reality of navigating the medical space as a patient caregiver and loved ones.
- 0:21So you can be empowered and take back the most precious and important asset of your life, which is your health.
- 0:28Let's get ready.
- 0:30Comfortable and get started I just realized that I never really discussed it and I know some people are going to watch this and they're going to be like, Oh my God, like, you know, that's not true.
- 0:40And so on and so forth.
- 0:41So I have receipts.
- 0:42I'm going to be sharing my screen so that I highly encourage that you head over to our YouTube channel to look at the screen.
- 0:49I'm going to try to show you the screen here, but again, I'm just doing this.
- 0:54I'm not a tech person, so I'm just going with the flow.
- 0:57Also if you want to listen to the audio of this.
- 1:01Live of this session you can also head over to our podcast the prepared patient podcast to listen to the audio As you are cooking driving cleaning because this is an important topic I don't know about you this food that I'm about to discuss or this nut.
- 1:16It is a nut I'm about to discuss I used to love I used to eat like a zillion time and not knowing how Damaging this nut was to my health and not knowing how this particular food was keeping me sick You until I did some research, And I will move it out of my diet and I will move it out of my diet by accident.
- 1:35It's not like I knew.
- 1:37And then as I will move it from my diet and I cut other things out of my diet, I started feeling better.
- 1:42And then I went into researching it and knowing that part of our, Institute of Functional Medicine, They have an elimination diet.
- 1:49Once you eliminate these, particular foods, healings start happening.
- 1:53So I'm going to talk to you about it, and I also want to show you why it is so carcinogenic.
- 1:59Not because I said so, that's according to international cancer research, and also that's according to other research.
- 2:06Organizations.
- 2:06so let's get into it.
- 2:08If you are new to my platforms, you've never heard of me.
- 2:11I've seen me and you just Like just scrolling around and poop, you know, you found me.
- 2:16My name is Dr.
- 2:17Jennifer Genti.
- 2:17I am a functional medicine doctor and the root cause doctor.
- 2:21So what do I do?
- 2:21I help my patients identify the root causes of the symptoms so they can have a clear pathway and a roadmap to healing the bodies by eliminating the symptoms.
- 2:32So not only they know what's causing the problem, they also have a solution as of what they need to do to Eliminate and regain their bodies, brain, health, and just live life, If that sounds like you, then you need to work with somebody like myself because I believe the first step to healing your body anybody.
- 2:51The first step to eliminate your symptoms, any symptoms, it doesn't matter if it's just, you know, your hair is falling out, if you have slight headaches, or if you have a little bit of acne, or your hormones are out of whack, it doesn't matter.
- 3:03The first step is to really identify the root cause.
- 3:06And if you are currently working with a doctor that is not focusing on root cause investigation.
- 3:11Then I highly encourage that you change doctor, because if you don't know what's causing it, you will not know what you need to do to fix it.
- 3:18And of course, part of my goal is to use food as medicine.
- 3:21So you're going to see me promoting food.
- 3:23I don't believe in, you know, restrictive eating.
- 3:26I don't believe in, you know, yo yo dieting.
- 3:29I don't believe in any of this stuff.
- 3:30You need to feed your body the food, foods.
- 3:33that it needs, And you also need to identify what your body's loving or what's helping your body versus what's hurting your body.
- 3:41So in my programs, I help my patients incorporate in food as medicine by giving them recipes, By literally, again, study the food, not only the healing potentials of the food, but how those foods can potentially help.
- 3:56many of my patients.
- 3:57So I give them recipes.
- 3:58I help them troubleshoot, you know, any discomfort them I get from the food so that they can have a sustainable program.
- 4:05That's going to help them heal, continue on these journeys, not just for three months, six months, nine months, but continue on these journeys for them to feel the best.
- 4:12So today I am going to talk about again, something that is controversial.
- 4:17If you are listening to this, you're watching this or you, you know, on YouTube, or you're here with me on Instagram or Facebook, you might have a different point of view.
- 4:26And I always tell my listeners, my viewers, if whatever you're doing is working for you, continue, because I focus on what cause Identify the root causes, because I focus on helping very sick people, These things are not just things that I These are the things that when I kind of eliminate them, people feel well.
- 4:48And I, again, as I mentioned at the beginning of this, video, beginning of this live, I didn't know this was causing more problem, than good until I actually identified.
- 4:57And there's a lot of stuff I'm going to say here today that might be shocking to you.
- 5:02so this whole thing started because a patient asked me, she said, Dr.
- 5:06J, how come you don't like peanuts?
- 5:09What is your thing against peanuts?
- 5:11What is it that you always giving nuts, peanuts, a bad rep?
- 5:15That's the question.
- 5:16Because again, as I am looking at people's food journal, because that's one of the documents I have my patients complete, before they come to me, completely before they come to me.
- 5:26So I'm looking at the food and sometimes I see peanut butter, nut butter, peanuts, like, because it's such an easy and convenient snack.
- 5:35Option that we all like out of convenience.
- 5:37We just buy it.
- 5:38We put it on apples.
- 5:40We use celeries.
- 5:42We use quite healthy vegetables because the patient was like, well, I do use healthy vegetables with the nuts that that's not the point.
- 5:49So it's like me eating a salad.
- 5:51The salad is healthy.
- 5:52And then I started adding croutons and cheese and that salad came from being healthy to very unhealthy.
- 5:58So again, if whatever you're doing is working for you, continue now for my patients, because they pay me to collapse time, they pay me to give them the solutions that you know that they need for them to heal the bodies.
- 6:12I eliminate peanuts.
- 6:14I do not promote eating nuts.
- 6:17At all.
- 6:18If you are trying to fix or heal your body, telling you, it's a game changer.
- 6:22At the beginning, when I started doing this, I started eliminating nuts because, you know, I went to school and I learned everything and in functional medicine, I started getting rid of nuts.
- 6:31People were doing well, but I never understood why.
- 6:33So today I'm going to show you why, why we need to eliminate nuts.
- 6:38If you're on this journey and you're trying all of the things and nothing is working for you and you are frustrated and you are anxious and you're like confused, Look at your diet.
- 6:48Look at your diet.
- 6:50What is it that in your diet you can eliminate today?
- 6:53If you're eating nuts, I would love for you to just put it as one of the things you need to eliminate.
- 6:58I don't eat nuts.
- 6:59My patients do not eat nuts, And nuts are very moldy.
- 7:02Yes, they have mold, which I'm going to show you here again.
- 7:06If you're watching this on Facebook and Instagram, you might not be able to see the slides, but I'm going to show it on my, YouTube, what I'm talking about, but not have a lot of mold.
- 7:16And when I tell people.
- 7:17You know, when patients come to me and they have mystery illness, like, I don't know what's wrong with me.
- 7:22I've seen all the doctors.
- 7:24I've done all the testing.
- 7:26They tell me the results are normal or the results are abnormal, but they have no solutions for me.
- 7:31I am a mystery.
- 7:32Always look at mold.
- 7:34Always look at mold.
- 7:35And mold is not one of those fungus that you can see.
- 7:38You don't have to live in a musty basement.
- 7:40You don't have to live in a water damage building.
- 7:43You don't have to have a leakage, uh, in your bathroom or your fridge to have mold.
- 7:47Majority of the mold that a lot of us are getting are from food, food and nuts and grains happens to be a huge piece to you getting mold into your body.
- 7:57So peanuts contain toxin producing fungus called aspergillus flavors, which is the name of aflatoxin.
- 8:05Afritaxin comes from peanuts.
- 8:07We don't eat peanuts.
- 8:08So afritaxin is a mold species, which I'm going to show you, show you as you're looking at the slides.
- 8:13It has been recognized since 1960.
- 8:16In 1960, when more than a hundred thousand turkeys died on a poultry farm in England, and the English were just like confused.
- 8:25Like, Oh, I don't understand.
- 8:27But they realized that they were feeding.
- 8:29the turkeys, peanuts, corn, like contaminated crops and they were dying and they were dying.
- 8:35So what did they do?
- 8:36They took part of the crops, they were feeding the turkeys.
- 8:39And research state.
- 8:41So aflatoxin has been in existence since 1960.
- 8:44It is a mold.
- 8:45Mold is not visible to your eyes, like you're not going to see mold.
- 8:49It so happens that many of us are doing a lot of the things we never consider molds.
- 8:53I mean, I don't blame you because as a doctor practicing in a conventional space, I never tested my patients for mold.
- 8:58But if you know me and you've been in my world, you know, I'm a big component of detoxification.
- 9:03And mold happens to be one of the things you need to detox, Mold happens to be one of the things there's mold in everything the grains and I can do a whole Facebook Instagram live and YouTube and podcast about why I don't eat grains and I don't promote my patient Grains in my patient's diet just like I'm telling you.
- 9:20I do not promote nuts Peanut, nut butter, anything that has nuts in it, we don't promote because of the mold.
- 9:26So aflatoxins are labeled as human carcinogens.
- 9:31What does that mean?
- 9:31It promotes cancer.
- 9:33I saw a patient two weeks ago and according to the patient, he was, he was very healthy.
- 9:37He's like, Dr.
- 9:38J, I don't understand.
- 9:39I exercise every day.
- 9:41I read the labels because I follow one of the gurus and you know, like those pioneers in functional medicine.
- 9:47So that this follow.
- 9:47This person, you know, podcast and YouTube channel, like the poor patient is doing everything he was supposed to do.
- 9:54Woke up one day with abdominal pain, went to his doctor and found that he had liver cancer, liver cancer.
- 9:59Like what?
- 10:00Yeah, liver cancer.
- 10:01And he was like, I don't understand.
- 10:03I'm healthy.
- 10:04Like all my physical exams were normal every year.
- 10:07Normal.
- 10:08How did I get this cancer?
- 10:09So as I am helping this patient identify the causes of a liver cancer.
- 10:16They found a nodule on his liver.
- 10:18And we found that it had mold.
- 10:19You have to do a mycotoxin bundle.
- 10:22You have to do a mycotoxin test, which is a UN test.
- 10:24We do a lot in my practice.
- 10:26So I'm not literally telling you you have mold.
- 10:28I'm showing you on this test.
- 10:30The species that you have, the colonies that you have, and where you are getting it from.
- 10:34And this patient was really happy in eating nuts.
- 10:38Because again, it's convenient, Nuts has, you know, good, fat, Like, it helps with this, it helps with that.
- 10:44So when we read the research on nuts and Dr.
- 10:47Google, we think it is healthy.
- 10:49So he was like, literally when we look at his food journal, like when I look at his food journal, because again, that's one of the documents that has my patients to submit to me before they come to my clinic, besides the intake form, there was like peanuts.
- 11:01Peanuts.
- 11:02Like there was like, you know, this healthy snack with the dry cranberries.
- 11:06How do you call this?
- 11:07But a lot of nuts.
- 11:08So I'm like, do you know that nuts have mold?
- 11:12Do you know coffee has mold?
- 11:13He was like, no, I didn't know that.
- 11:15I thought I was eating healthy.
- 11:16No.
- 11:17So aflatoxin are labeled as human carcinogens that have been found to cause liver cancer in animals and also humans.
- 11:25According, that's according to the environmental trust website.
- 11:28It's not me.
- 11:29I'm not putting this thing out of, you know what, I'm just literally telling you because I do the research.
- 11:34After toxins are not considered a problem in the United States.
- 11:37So meaning that it is a problem in other country, but not here.
- 11:40Because the FDA is allowing that the drug industry, the farmers to like put a little bit of aqua after toxins right in the food.
- 11:49It's not so there are so many casinogens.
- 11:52There are so many toxins that are banned in other country, but here in the United States, they are not.
- 11:57That is why we cannot heal our bodies.
- 12:00That is why we are so sick.
- 12:01That is why the treatments that used to work are not working anymore.
- 12:05That is why the medications are increasing.
- 12:08That's why we have 20 medications for one condition, so in many developing countries, aflatoxins poses a serious risk.
- 12:16But in the United States, peanuts, peanut butter and other foods that may contain aflatoxins undergo rigorous testing.
- 12:24The FDA is allowing companies to allow that 20 BPP, which is 20 parts per billion in our foods.
- 12:31That is, I don't know about you.
- 12:33That's a concern, Like low level of aft taxane.
- 12:36Again, Afro axin is a mold, Aflt.
- 12:38Taxine is mold af flott.
- 12:40Taxane is mold.
- 12:41You probably never heard of it,'cause again, your doctor's not checking you for mold.
- 12:44They don't believe in mold.
- 12:46Even if you had to do a LabCorp script, laptop script like this, you probably not gonna get the current, the current results because mold can is not identified through blood.
- 12:57It is identified through a urine test.
- 13:00your kidneys are overwhelmed trying to filter toxins.
- 13:03So whenever you do a urine test, mold is going to come out, The mycotoxins, the toxins produced by mold is going to come to your urine.
- 13:11So if you're going to tell me, well, Dr.
- 13:12J, I believe you.
- 13:14I thought I had mold, although I didn't see it at my house, My basement is clean.
- 13:18I have a brand new house.
- 13:19I don't understand, like, I'm healthy.
- 13:20I spend a lot of money buying organic peanuts.
- 13:22Organic nut butter.
- 13:23I have no mold.
- 13:24I don't know what you're talking about.
- 13:26I highly encourage you to do a urine test.
- 13:28You come to me with a urine test and show me that your mycotoxins are zero for aflatoxin B1.
- 13:36Then we're going to talk about you not having mold.
- 13:38You're going to say, well, Dr.
- 13:38J, I've been eating nuts forever.
- 13:40I don't, I feel great.
- 13:42I mean, I've never had issues with nuts.
- 13:43As a matter of fact, I feel really good when I eat nuts, I get that a lot.
- 13:46Like, how come it's, it's, it's clean.
- 13:48One ingredient.
- 13:49That's the point.
- 13:50The point is when you can, when you eat something that is prone to cause inflammation, It's, it's going to pile up the more toxicity, the more toxins you have, the higher toxicity level, the more you're going to experience and the higher risk it's going to be.
- 14:04Many people have disease that are brewing at the cellular level, but they don't feel it.
- 14:09May I remind you when you have symptoms.
- 14:12When you feel the symptoms, or you have the signs, of something going wrong with you, these things are already happening intracellularly, instead of yourselves months ago, So if you have a rash, you have acne, and you're like, oh my god, I have acne, you didn't just get the acne the day before, the night before, the month before.
- 14:29Your liver has to be very overwhelmed.
- 14:31You have your toxicity level has to be and severely high for you to have rash for you, for you to have toxins coming to your pores, when I talk to the patients like, well, I, I've been eating nuts.
- 14:40I don't understand, like I was good.
- 14:42I felt good.
- 14:43But how come you have liver cancer?
- 14:45Why is this liver cancer is coming from?
- 14:46I don't know, because the toxins are piling up, piling up, piling up because we live in a busy world, we don't have time to sit and listen and take notes.
- 14:55And how do we feel today?
- 14:57We get up, we go to work, we take care of our families.
- 15:00We get a paycheck.
- 15:01We run a business that we on go, go, go, go, go.
- 15:03So we really have, we don't have time for self care for many people.
- 15:07Self care is going on vacation.
- 15:08No, self care is not taking a vacation.
- 15:11Self care is a daily practice, It's not getting your nails done.
- 15:15You know, that's me nails done or going to the spa once in a blue moon, getting a massage that is not self care.
- 15:22Self care is the new medicine.
- 15:24That is our daily practice.
- 15:26We're connecting with yourself.
- 15:27How am I feeling today?
- 15:28As I am talking to this patient who just newly diagnosed with liver cancer, as we're going back, because there's always signs, whether you believe it or not, there's always, always signs.
- 15:37We don't just get up and have liver cancer.
- 15:40Liver cancer, cancer in general, takes 14 years.
- 15:44To develop.
- 15:45So I'm talking to him.
- 15:46How is your health back?
- 15:47I was always active.
- 15:49I was an athlete.
- 15:50So as we are getting deep into the investigative process is that you know what I used to have stomach issues, but I just took some Tylenol.
- 15:58I used to have stomach issues.
- 15:59I just I was able to get with like, you can tell there was some things happening because his physical exam, this basic, very physical exam, like very basic, like very basic blood tests, CBC, checking your cholesterol, and that's it, you know, have diabetes type thing was normal.
- 16:17Like he never really took time to investigate.
- 16:19So if you have discomfort, you have pain, you have something that you didn't have before, don't just brush it off as nothing.
- 16:27Your body's trying to tell you, Hey, you need to reconnect here.
- 16:30We need to, we need to get, we need to identify, like, you need to pay attention to me but just be like, oh, I just pop some Tylenol.
- 16:37I'll just take some an acid.
- 16:38It's the food you ate before.
- 16:40I'll just like, you know, whatever.
- 16:42Numb it.
- 16:43Don't do that.
- 16:43So long term exposure to aflatoxins, which is long term con con consumption of peanuts, all nuts related.
- 16:52Even supplements have nuts, It doesn't have to be peanuts, like the physical peanuts or the peanut butter.
- 16:56Anything.
- 16:57If you read the ingredients, this product was made in a factory that also process nuts.
- 17:02That means you and the products that you are ingesting can also have cross contaminants.?
- 17:08So long term exposure, some of the symptoms you can experience.
- 17:11Again, we're talking about mold being in the nuts, Food allergies.
- 17:15Or food sensitivities, which I'm going to do a whole Facebook about that, because I am tired of people telling me they are allergic to food when it's really food sensitivities.
- 17:25So food sensitivities that did you used to eat apples?
- 17:28And then now you eat apples.
- 17:29Your stomach is hurting you.
- 17:30What food did you used to eat?
- 17:32And now you eating is like, Oh, I can't tolerate this anymore.
- 17:36That's sensitivities.
- 17:37autoimmune reactions, like I have lupus, I have RA, I have, you know, multiple sclerosis, I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, I have diabetes, not autoimmune, like what autoimmune conditions that you are diagnosed now, it's just autoimmune is on the rise.
- 17:52Like, one out of five patients of mine have autoimmune, like autoimmune colitis.
- 17:57IBD, irritable bowel disease.
- 17:59That's autoimmune.
- 18:01Inflammation.
- 18:02Inflammation in your joints.
- 18:03Inflammation in your brain.
- 18:04Inflammation in your gut.
- 18:05Inflammation in your heart.
- 18:07That's like weak immune system, Damage to your digestive organ.
- 18:11Why?
- 18:11Because we eat the stuff, it goes to your gut.
- 18:13So, what do you think is going to be damaged first?
- 18:15Irritated?
- 18:16Your digestive system like possible chronic health conditions, like high blood pressure, diabetes, like you name it, fill in the blank.
- 18:24The biggest threat of your symptoms really is people not knowing that.
- 18:28they could possibly get liver cancer.
- 18:30And as we know, when you do a CBC, right, you do a BMP, complete metabolic panel, you look at the liver enzymes.
- 18:37Most often those liver enzymes are not elevated, but that doesn't mean like the liver is working the way it's supposed to.
- 18:42That is why I'm a firm believer we collectively need to, all of us need to, detox four times a year.
- 18:48Make it simple for yourself.
- 18:49Just detox.
- 18:50Decrease your toxicity level.
- 18:52Always evaluate the food that you're eating because we never know.
- 18:55So there's a difference between peanut allergies, because I get that question a lot.
- 18:59I'm allergic to nuts.
- 19:00Are you allergic to nuts?
- 19:01Or do you really have sensitivity to nuts?
- 19:03Or is it because you are reacting to nuts because of the mold?
- 19:06So when you have allergies, it's a constant instant reaction.
- 19:10Like, your throat is swelling up, your, you know, your tongue is swelling up, like you can't breathe, you're about to die, we need to give you some epinephrine, or just give you some steroids, give you some Benadryl, give you something to kind of decrease the inflammation.
- 19:22That is allergies.
- 19:23When you have mold from nuts, the most common signs and symptoms you're going to get are stomach issues, digestive issues.
- 19:30Why are you going to have the bloat, you're going to have the gas, you might have some constipation or diarrhea because, you know, of the, we call it constiparia because the enterocytes that are dying from the water in the large intestine.
- 19:41So now you have like things coming out and you have intestinal lining.
- 19:45So I'm telling you, if you want to really feel your best.
- 19:48And you are eating nuts right now.
- 19:50Again, I know it's a popular, you know, thing.
- 19:53It's very controversial.
- 19:54Some people would just tell me, well, I do well on nuts.
- 19:56That's okay.
- 19:57Continue.
- 19:57Like I'm not here to have you stop what is working for you, but I'm just telling you the research are there, which the studies are there.
- 20:05And now I'm going to show you what I'm referring to.
- 20:09Let's see.
- 20:10So this is, I don't know if you can see this.
- 20:12Probably not.
- 20:13This is the mycotoxin bundle.
- 20:15Again, mycotoxin is from mold.
- 20:17If you're, I don't know, it's a little blurry.
- 20:19Ah, I thought I can show you, but it's not working.
- 20:23you see aflatoxin B1, I am going to, so part of my way of helping my patients investigate and identify the root causes of the symptoms is to help them do a toxicity bundle.
- 20:37I'm a firm believer toxins, you know, you have to have toxins in your body for you to have inflammation.
- 20:42What is toxins from the toxins from the food, toxins from the water that you drink, like toxins or just toxins, like toxins from your personal care products, toxins from your organic food, like toxins or toxins.
- 20:54So we do a toxicity bundle, which I highly recommend that every single human being, whether you're healthy or not, do because not only that's going to help you identify what, what things are growing intracellularly, but also which part of your health you need to pay attention to and how aggressive you need to be.
- 21:12Mold, again, I'm a mold expert.
- 21:14I'm specialized as a mold expert.
- 21:16I treat mold like nobody's business.
- 21:18And again, when I tell people you have mold, they're like, Nope, I don't.
- 21:22I'm like, Yeah, you do.
- 21:23No, I don't.
- 21:23Yeah, you do.
- 21:24No, I don't.
- 21:24Okay.
- 21:25So I want this to be a lesson to you as you are, you know, having your doctors help you figure out what's wrong with you.
- 21:33If you're not looking at mold, you're doing a big disservice.
- 21:36You're not, you're missing a huge part of your health.
- 21:39So I was going to show you how aflatoxin is very blurry.
- 21:43You might have to watch this on my YouTube channel, but if you're on Instagram, let me see if I can show you.
- 21:48you see how this aflatoxin B1, is a mycotoxin, produced by several strains of fungus, aspergillus virus, just like I said, and it's found in food.
- 21:59So that's a mold that is found in food, is found in food like cereal, corn, but here's the peanut, You see the peanut?
- 22:05and spices.
- 22:06And it is carcinogenic, It causes liver cancer.
- 22:10That's according to the International Agency of Research of Cancer.
- 22:16Not me.
- 22:17I'm not just showing up this.
- 22:18This is just the truth.
- 22:20So again, all my patients that have liver cancer, all of them, all of them.
- 22:24That is one thing I look for, I look for parasites, you know, liver flukes, parasites.
- 22:30And I also look for mold.
- 22:32Because if you don't know what you don't know, and since many, many of these people are, let's see more, you cannot see it.
- 22:39Sorry.
- 22:39I was going to show you on, I'm going to take a screenshot and then I'm going to put it in the Facebook and also Instagram.
- 22:44But if you're watching this on my YouTube, you should be able to see this.
- 22:47You should be able to see how you will get mold aflatoxin B1, not only from peanuts, you can also get it from tree nuts, rice, corn, cereal, and some spices.
- 22:57So it is very carcinogenic.
- 22:59That's why, again, if you're a patient of mine watching this, if, you know, besides me telling you the possible risk of you eating nuts, now you can see it on paper, Because the liver and the kidneys are very resilient, meaning that there's so much liver and kidney can take before they start, you know, being stubborn and before they start reacting back.
- 23:18And at the end of the day, you are in power.
- 23:21There's so much you can do on your own.
- 23:23You don't have to pay thousands of dollars and wait for it to work with a doctor.
- 23:26You can literally look at the food you're eating today.
- 23:29and eliminate.
- 23:31Look at the food you are eating today, because whatever you're doing today is not serving you.
- 23:35So what are we going to do?
- 23:37You got to eliminate, and then when it comes to investigating the root causes, you got to work with a doctor that believes in root causes, that dedicate their life and their studies and have helped so many people identify root causes.
- 23:49Because again, it is the first step to healing your body.
- 23:52If you don't know what's causing it, you're not going to know how to treat it.
- 23:55And knots, horns, are something that we don't do.
- 23:59We do not have in our meal plans that we give to our patients.
