- 0:05Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus at the ten yard line. Second to eight
- 0:08Speaker 1: free wide receivers now in motion as Bumpus left to right,
- 0:12Speaker 1: Julius Jones a single setback Matt pump fakes looking at
- 0:14Speaker 1: the goal line. He throws it into the end zone.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Touchdown Seahawks. It's Michael Bumpas with a diving kitchen the
- 0:21Speaker 1: end zone. Our ten yard touchdown reception for Bumpas and
- 0:25Speaker 1: the kid out of Washington State has found himself a
- 0:29Speaker 1: place on this team. Powered by Seahawks dot Com turner
- 0:32Speaker 1: in motion. Russ from the Shotguns hands into Carson. He's
- 0:36Speaker 1: got a first down, he gets to the goal line.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Does he get it in touchdown? Seahawks Great. Pushed by
- 0:44Speaker 1: the Seahawks up front, DJ Fluker leading Carson into the
- 0:48Speaker 1: end zone and man is he fired up? As the
- 0:52Speaker 1: Seahawks from six yards out, Carson in the offensive lineman
- 0:56Speaker 1: just say we're gonna take this over on fourth down, Unch,
- 1:00Speaker 1: Carolina fans heading for the exits. What of folks? This
- 1:04Speaker 1: is Michael Bumbas Hawk Talk Recap edition along with my
- 1:06Speaker 1: producer Nasa Shelby. The Hawks are eleven and three, went
- 1:11Speaker 1: onto the road and good old North Carolina Charlotte got
- 1:16Speaker 1: her done. The Twelves were deep. Panthers were lacking a
- 1:20Speaker 1: lot of support out there, but it didn't matter. These
- 1:22Speaker 1: guys were focused and they beat the Panthers thirty to
- 1:24Speaker 1: twenty four. I wouldn't call it a statement win, but
- 1:28Speaker 1: it was still convincing, because that's the thing. Man, it's
- 1:30Speaker 1: the final scores thirty to twenty four, but that was
- 1:33Speaker 1: not how the game was going. The Seahawks were smacking them.
- 1:35Speaker 1: It was thirty to ten. They played with offense, defense,
- 1:39Speaker 1: all sides of the ball. It was great to see. Obviously,
- 1:42Speaker 1: we'll get into it. They made a late comeback. We
- 1:44Speaker 1: had to let guys injured, but no, it was great
- 1:46Speaker 1: to see. Not necessarily you said, not a statement game,
- 1:48Speaker 1: but they got there, kind of got their mojo back,
- 1:50Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Yep, they got their swagger back.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Here are the main takeaways from that game. The Seahawks
- 1:54Speaker 1: bounced back in a big way. The final score was
- 1:56Speaker 1: not addictive with the game how the game went, but
- 1:58Speaker 1: the Seahawks were dominating forced slight. My guy Nast was
- 2:01Speaker 1: talking about the Seahawks created three turnovers on defense and
- 2:04Speaker 1: almost had a pick six. Young Ugo. I'm still kind
- 2:08Speaker 1: of torn in between that. I talked to Pete about
- 2:10Speaker 1: that play. He cut the ball two feet down. He
- 2:12Speaker 1: says he's a bang bang play. He doesn't disagree with
- 2:15Speaker 1: the call, but he can also see how we would
- 2:18Speaker 1: think that that was a pick six. Well, I think
- 2:21Speaker 1: what he thinks is also or not necessarily. Pete thinks
- 2:23Speaker 1: what I think is that because they ruled it a
- 2:26Speaker 1: touchdown on the field and it happened, so bang bang.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I know officials are better about this day and age,
- 2:31Speaker 1: letting plays finish out. I thought he got one two.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I think he got the two feet down, and I
- 2:36Speaker 1: know they say you have to kind of add another
- 2:37Speaker 1: football move on top of that. It's tough to see
- 2:40Speaker 1: see the rookie not getting his touchdown, but he's still
- 2:43Speaker 1: smooth with it. It was the balls on the ground.
- 2:44Speaker 1: He scooped that up and gets in the end zone.
- 2:46Speaker 1: So it's still good to see him get his hands
- 2:48Speaker 1: on football. He had a nice little burst. He said
- 2:50Speaker 1: he scored six touchdowns as a senior at Oregon, so
- 2:53Speaker 1: we know that he has ball skills. Another takeaway, Russell
- 2:55Speaker 1: Wilson and his passing offense got back on track, and
- 2:58Speaker 1: Lockett got back on track. I think this is huge
- 3:00Speaker 1: for this offense going forward. You've seen as a locket
- 3:03Speaker 1: has struggled these past three games, this passing offense has
- 3:06Speaker 1: struggled these past three games. He's a catalyst. He's a
- 3:09Speaker 1: guy that keeps this thing moving. And he looked strong
- 3:11Speaker 1: and he looked healthy this game. Oh you can tell.
- 3:14Speaker 1: He looked explosive and what you see, he loved seeing
- 3:16Speaker 1: the deep passing game back at it. He I think
- 3:18Speaker 1: he had a reception for forty four yards. So you
- 3:20Speaker 1: love to see the big plays coming back and that
- 3:22Speaker 1: pass off and something that we've lacked really since that
- 3:24Speaker 1: Buccaneers game. Another takeaway, Chris Carson is a man amongst
- 3:27Speaker 1: the boys. I mean he's every week he seems to
- 3:30Speaker 1: get better and better. And you think about backs and
- 3:33Speaker 1: football players as a season goes along, as a game
- 3:36Speaker 1: goes along, either you're getting weaker or you're getting stronger,
- 3:39Speaker 1: and it seems like he's getting stronger. And one thing
- 3:41Speaker 1: I loved about the game yesterday and Chris Carson's Carson
- 3:45Speaker 1: Carson was his ball security. At no point did I
- 3:49Speaker 1: feel like that thing was lose. He had two hands
- 3:51Speaker 1: on the football going through the first level into the
- 3:53Speaker 1: second level and didn't shy away from contact. When you
- 3:56Speaker 1: have fumble wall sometimes you're like, you know what, I'm
- 3:58Speaker 1: gonna get down. I'm gonna get out of bounce. Thirty
- 4:00Speaker 1: two said, no, I'm not changing anything. I'm doing what
- 4:02Speaker 1: I do. Chris exactly exactly what you said. Chris does
- 4:05Speaker 1: what he does. He loves seeing that physical style of playing,
- 4:07Speaker 1: just how he conducts himself. And when her highly we
- 4:11Speaker 1: played coming in as he just runs over everybody in
- 4:13Speaker 1: the end zone, keeps his feet going on fourth down.
- 4:15Speaker 1: You just love to see it. And like you said,
- 4:17Speaker 1: he's not fazed by any of the fumbling stuff that's
- 4:19Speaker 1: behind him. He's got it rolling and he's really really
- 4:21Speaker 1: important to what we do on offense. Last second way
- 4:23Speaker 1: the Hawks overcame a lot of injuries. Ziggyanza didn't play,
- 4:27Speaker 1: just David Clowney didn't play. Milcol Kind just was out,
- 4:29Speaker 1: Chico Griffin was out. Then during the game there's a
- 4:31Speaker 1: point where Quandre rolled his ankle, Bobby Wagner rolled his ankle.
- 4:35Speaker 1: So you look out of that defense and you're missing one, two, three,
- 4:38Speaker 1: four or five six starters, So at one point you
- 4:40Speaker 1: had a rookie in LJ Cody Barton, Blair Amadi, am
- 4:46Speaker 1: I missing anybody probably, I mean the whole rookie classes
- 4:50Speaker 1: out there. I mean it, it was pretty wild man,
- 4:52Speaker 1: and that this kind of speaks to I think a
- 4:54Speaker 1: little of the comeback lay. You can chalk some of
- 4:56Speaker 1: that up to, like you said, when you're down six
- 4:58Speaker 1: starters in the NFL, six starters especially, and when Bobby's
- 5:02Speaker 1: not on the field. I mean, Bobby is he's our captain,
- 5:05Speaker 1: he's our leader, he communicates everything. So yeah, I mean
- 5:08Speaker 1: it was still impressive the fact that they got out
- 5:10Speaker 1: of there with all those injuries and how well they
- 5:12Speaker 1: played defensively early on, creating turnovers, getting after Kyle Allen
- 5:16Speaker 1: early on when they came into the game missing four guys.
- 5:19Speaker 1: So hopefully a lot of those guys get healthy and
- 5:22Speaker 1: get back on track as we get into the stretch
- 5:24Speaker 1: run here the last two games. And it's nice. So
- 5:26Speaker 1: you said it, you can have all those guys album
- 5:29Speaker 1: and expectations don't change. You still expect these guys to
- 5:31Speaker 1: get it done. Big ups to the number twos who
- 5:33Speaker 1: came in and backed those guys up. Let's move over
- 5:36Speaker 1: to the top performers. Tyler Lockett eight receptions, it's one
- 5:38Speaker 1: hundred and twenty yards, one touchdown. He's now at nine
- 5:42Speaker 1: hundred and ninety four yards on the season. He's already
- 5:44Speaker 1: passed his single season career numbers. This guy disappeared for
- 5:48Speaker 1: three weeks and now he's back and he's at nine
- 5:52Speaker 1: hundred ninety four yards and he's missed three weeks. Could
- 5:54Speaker 1: you imagine what his numbers would have been if he
- 5:55Speaker 1: was a Tyler Lockett, the healthy Tyler Lockett that we
- 5:59Speaker 1: knew for six, six or seven weeks prior to that.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's the tough thing because after that Buccaneers game, he
- 6:05Speaker 1: was on pace to break every single record, now include
- 6:07Speaker 1: Steve Lars and that includes Dug Ball, non clues, Brian Blades,
- 6:11Speaker 1: Jackson and all those guys. He was on pace and
- 6:13Speaker 1: break all those records because he was with receptions and
- 6:15Speaker 1: yards and touchdowns. So it was tough to see him
- 6:17Speaker 1: go through that three week stretch, especially because he's still
- 6:20Speaker 1: dealing with stuff. I mean, people forget that flu was
- 6:23Speaker 1: That flu was real, man. That flu took it out
- 6:25Speaker 1: of him. He lost about ten pounds he said post games.
- 6:27Speaker 1: So he's still trying to get back to it. So
- 6:29Speaker 1: it's a shame that we didn't get to see that,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but you know, better late than never. Happy to see
- 6:34Speaker 1: Tyler back to where he's at. Next top performer, Russell
- 6:36Speaker 1: Wilson was twenty for twenty six, twenty eighty six shards,
- 6:39Speaker 1: two touchdowns with a QB rating of one thirty seven
- 6:42Speaker 1: point seven. The main thing I appreciate it from Russell
- 6:45Speaker 1: was no turnovers. This is the first time in three
- 6:47Speaker 1: or four weeks where he has not throwing the interception.
- 6:50Speaker 1: He got back to doing what Russell does efficient passing
- 6:53Speaker 1: the ball twenty for twenty six and making big plays
- 6:56Speaker 1: two touchdowns and a couple big throws down the field,
- 6:58Speaker 1: which we'll talk about later. The Seahawks eleven victory of
- 7:01Speaker 1: this season is also Russell Wilson's eighty six regular season win,
- 7:04Speaker 1: which ties him with the grade Tom Brady for the
- 7:07Speaker 1: most wins in the first eight seasons in NFL history. Again,
- 7:12Speaker 1: another week, another stat for Russell. I mean, it just
- 7:15Speaker 1: it's never ending. We know we're gonna get with Russell.
- 7:17Speaker 1: He plays a game, he's breaking some kind of record.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And the thing I love about that is Seahawks eleven victory. Okay,
- 7:23Speaker 1: first time the Seahawks have won eleven games in twenty fourteen.
- 7:27Speaker 1: And I was listening, I was watching some of the
- 7:29Speaker 1: twitter of some of our guys last night, and Quandre
- 7:31Speaker 1: Diggs tweeted something like, hey, man, I don't think I
- 7:34Speaker 1: don't won eleven games since either high school or like Peewee.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So it's just it kind of puts that into perspective.
- 7:40Speaker 1: And Pooda said the same thing. So it puts into
- 7:42Speaker 1: perspective for Seahawks fans out there to not take for
- 7:45Speaker 1: granted success in this run that the Seahawks have been
- 7:48Speaker 1: on since Russell and Pete have gotten together. Don't take
- 7:51Speaker 1: it for granted because it could be a lot worse.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Eleven wins seven to one on the road. That it's
- 7:55Speaker 1: hard to do in the National Football League. So it's
- 7:57Speaker 1: good to see and good to see Russell get back
- 7:58Speaker 1: on track. Hard to do in their doing it. The
- 8:01Speaker 1: Hawks and proved to thirty one and seven after a
- 8:03Speaker 1: loss with Russell Wilson as their QB. So safe to
- 8:06Speaker 1: say if they've taken l most likely they're not gonna
- 8:08Speaker 1: take two in a row. And that proved to be true.
- 8:11Speaker 1: This weekend, he passed Drew Brees for the fifth for
- 8:13Speaker 1: fifth place and most passing years with the first eight
- 8:16Speaker 1: season NFL history, he's fifth. And he don't throw the
- 8:19Speaker 1: ball line so he's super efficient, and he throws bombs
- 8:23Speaker 1: down the field. When he gets loose, he gets loose again.
- 8:26Speaker 1: It's so we're so fortunate to see a Hall of
- 8:30Speaker 1: Fame career of happened before very Yes, I grew up
- 8:33Speaker 1: in La, so I got a sport. I'm sported. I
- 8:35Speaker 1: saw the Lakers win five championships. They win five, I
- 8:38Speaker 1: leave a later to go to college. Use man, they
- 8:41Speaker 1: won three. I leave La to go to college. They
- 8:43Speaker 1: win two. Then they haven't won one in like seven
- 8:45Speaker 1: to eight years. Like and I felt like I didn't
- 8:49Speaker 1: appreciate it. You know, yeah, I'm getting old. I looked back.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm like, man, I had a good man. Every year
- 8:53Speaker 1: the Lakers are in this hunt something. Appreciate what you're
- 8:56Speaker 1: seeing right here. Almost every year these guys are in
- 8:59Speaker 1: the playoffs. Only twice, I believe in Pete Carroll's tenure career,
- 9:02Speaker 1: they haven't made the playoffs. So this is just becoming
- 9:04Speaker 1: part of who they are and what they do yeah, man,
- 9:07Speaker 1: I mean success. The worst season under with Pete Carroll
- 9:10Speaker 1: and Russell Wilson was nine and seven. Nine and seven
- 9:13Speaker 1: was nine and seven. So just Hawk fans remember that,
- 9:16Speaker 1: enjoy the ride. Wins or wins. There's no beauty points,
- 9:20Speaker 1: there's no BCS, there's no RPI, none of that. At
- 9:23Speaker 1: the end of the day, wins what matters and the
- 9:24Speaker 1: Hawks keep doing it, yes, sir. Next top performer, kJ
- 9:28Speaker 1: Wright four tackles, two passes defended, two interceptions. Coming into
- 9:32Speaker 1: this game, he had three career interceptions and now he
- 9:35Speaker 1: gets two in a game, young kJ And what I
- 9:38Speaker 1: like about this is all week right myself included Pete Man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: play more nickel, play more nickel, middle of the fields,
- 9:44Speaker 1: wide open, and what they do Bobby has a pick,
- 9:48Speaker 1: kJ has a pick. Cut all that noise. We're gonna
- 9:50Speaker 1: stick with this base defense and there these linebackers are
- 9:53Speaker 1: gonna make play and you love seeing it too, because
- 9:55Speaker 1: that's again without Michael Kendricks too, who's in a great
- 9:57Speaker 1: fast coverage guy, a great guy getting out the quarterback.
- 10:00Speaker 1: So in kJ Man damn three interceptions his entire career
- 10:04Speaker 1: for him to get two picks in five plays, five plays.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I mean, think about all the games he's been in,
- 10:10Speaker 1: all the battles he's been, all the times he's been
- 10:12Speaker 1: in coverage. So it's always great to see a fan
- 10:14Speaker 1: favorite like kJ Right getting his hands on the ball
- 10:17Speaker 1: and his boy Bobby Wagner has got to throw him
- 10:19Speaker 1: under the bus. I just can't let him bathe in it,
- 10:22Speaker 1: you know, and his glory is two interceptions. He has
- 10:24Speaker 1: to get on him about the return skills. Man, they
- 10:27Speaker 1: wouldn't be boys if you did. That's just what boys do.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I told you during the game. I was like, oh man,
- 10:32Speaker 1: they're gonna be on Kj's head for that. And then
- 10:35Speaker 1: kJ said he had a dream that he had two picks.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And I'm a big I'm a big component of like
- 10:41Speaker 1: deja vo. I've had moments in football games where I'm
- 10:44Speaker 1: lined up and i know what's gonna happen because I've
- 10:46Speaker 1: dreamed it or I felt it before. So I'm a
- 10:48Speaker 1: big believer if you visualize it, it will happen. And
- 10:51Speaker 1: kJ obviously does a great job visualizing the attack and
- 10:54Speaker 1: making things happen. So big ups to the young man,
- 10:57Speaker 1: young kJ Right. Yeah, no, kJ Wright was killing it. Um.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Next guy, Bobby Wagner again. Of course, look Bobby another
- 11:04Speaker 1: date the obviously, if you see a stat line, just
- 11:07Speaker 1: expect double dig tackles from that guy. And then he
- 11:09Speaker 1: adds another big interception where he just kind of muscle
- 11:12Speaker 1: it from ripped it away. So Bobby's just doing this thing.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Bobby's doing the staying. Ten tackles, two passes defending, like
- 11:16Speaker 1: we said, one interception. He's second in the NFL and
- 11:19Speaker 1: tackles with one hundred and thirty nine behind Blake Martinez,
- 11:23Speaker 1: last top performer. The I want to say heart and
- 11:27Speaker 1: soul of this team, the heartbeat, some important organ on
- 11:31Speaker 1: this football team. It's mister Chris Carson. Twenty four carries,
- 11:34Speaker 1: one hundred thirty three yards, two touchdowns. It's not just
- 11:37Speaker 1: the stats, it's the way he does it. It's convincing.
- 11:40Speaker 1: It's not it's not okay, you got two big players
- 11:43Speaker 1: of fifty yard runs. It's I'm gonna run between these tackles.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna pick up these tough yards. Then I'll have
- 11:47Speaker 1: a twenty yard burst. I'm gonna pick up more tough tackles.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna bounce this outside. I'm gonna do this in
- 11:52Speaker 1: multiple ways. You can't just expect me to run north
- 11:54Speaker 1: and south. Now he showed he'll hit the brakes and
- 11:57Speaker 1: bounce it outside and turn on the jets as well.
- 11:58Speaker 1: He'll do all of it. Like you said, He'll get outside,
- 12:01Speaker 1: he'll run you over. He'll be patient when he gets
- 12:03Speaker 1: the ball. Sometimes it's not there. He's patient. He's reading
- 12:05Speaker 1: his offensive line in front of him, making smart plays
- 12:08Speaker 1: down the stretch and the end of the game. He
- 12:09Speaker 1: gets outside and has a presence of mind to slide
- 12:12Speaker 1: and keep a clock running. So Chris Carson, he does
- 12:14Speaker 1: it all, man, he does it all, and I love
- 12:15Speaker 1: to see a guy like Ham in locker room. He's
- 12:17Speaker 1: now at eleven hundred ninety rush yards for the season.
- 12:19Speaker 1: That's a new career high YEA. Since twenty eighteen, Chris
- 12:22Speaker 1: Carson has had twelve one hundred yard rushing games. That's
- 12:25Speaker 1: tied for the most in the NFL. During that spend,
- 12:27Speaker 1: he know he's tied with pretty sure, he's tied with
- 12:30Speaker 1: Ezekiel Elliot, Zekiel Elliot, and then he's a baller. Nothing
- 12:34Speaker 1: against twenty one. But Chris Carson needs a little more
- 12:37Speaker 1: love in this league. I feel like within this period
- 12:39Speaker 1: he's probably respected but on the outside with the media,
- 12:41Speaker 1: I don't think he gets enough love. Not enough people
- 12:43Speaker 1: will understand. Talk to defenses, talk to every defense after
- 12:47Speaker 1: a Seahawks game, and then I promise you they'll be like, hey, yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 1: that boy Chris Carson, he's a real deal. I mean
- 12:53Speaker 1: when they're telling you that from the ice tub, because
- 12:55Speaker 1: Chris Carson is just punishing everybody he doesn't get to
- 12:58Speaker 1: do with deserves. But we know how good Chris is
- 13:00Speaker 1: out here, so I'd love to see it as we
- 13:01Speaker 1: do wide receiver round up. Like we said, Tyler Locket
- 13:05Speaker 1: had eight for one twenty and a touchdown. Safe to
- 13:07Speaker 1: say he's back. He had eight receptions on nine targets
- 13:10Speaker 1: Josh Gordon. He may have only had one catch, but
- 13:13Speaker 1: that might be the I'd say, maybe the second or
- 13:16Speaker 1: third biggest catch on this team this year. Number one
- 13:19Speaker 1: obviously goes so Tyler Locket against the Rams. I'm sure
- 13:23Speaker 1: there's a two in there. But this catch Josh Gordon
- 13:26Speaker 1: made over his shoulder middle of the field with his
- 13:28Speaker 1: fingertips and still had to tuck the ball. And brock
- 13:32Speaker 1: Huart said it the best and had all that gravity
- 13:34Speaker 1: gravity this land on the football to wear up. It
- 13:36Speaker 1: could have easily popped out. We saw C. J. Prosies
- 13:39Speaker 1: had an incident during the game where he lands on
- 13:41Speaker 1: the ball and then popped out the fact that he
- 13:43Speaker 1: brought that thing and it made it look so easy.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I mean, it's just it doesn't look difficult for this
- 13:47Speaker 1: guy's beautiful to watch. No, let let's hear that play.
- 13:49Speaker 1: With a flot on the left, here comes the Blintz
- 13:51Speaker 1: rush steps up as the Hawks pick it up, throw deep,
- 13:54Speaker 1: got a man out there, Chase Holy catfitch a cat
- 14:00Speaker 1: down of the twenty five yard line. Josh Gordon, timing
- 14:05Speaker 1: flung the end of his fingertips. Baby, what a catch
- 14:09Speaker 1: and welcome mister Gordon. A huge game of the Seahawks
- 14:14Speaker 1: in Carolina territory. A fifty nine yard reception. All right,
- 14:18Speaker 1: since we're talking about let's get under the hood school
- 14:20Speaker 1: coaches corner bump, you kind of talked about this this
- 14:23Speaker 1: specifics of the catch. But what went did that play? Simple?
- 14:26Speaker 1: I saw two high defense. I saw the guy streak
- 14:29Speaker 1: up the field, split the safeties, and then after that,
- 14:31Speaker 1: it's all disability and chemistry. Russell Wilson. Wilson, when I
- 14:36Speaker 1: saw him throw that football, the trajectory of the ball.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'm like, that thing shot straight up in the air.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, he's going deep. And now what's so
- 14:43Speaker 1: difficult about this catch is one, let's not forget you
- 14:46Speaker 1: have a helmet on. Okay, this thing has some weight
- 14:48Speaker 1: to it. It restricts your vision a bit. Are you're
- 14:51Speaker 1: running full speed, You're looking straight up into the sky
- 14:54Speaker 1: for this little brown thing in the air. You're trying
- 14:56Speaker 1: to pick up his velocity, all right, and then it's
- 14:59Speaker 1: out in front of you, so you're you're stretched out.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It's not a natural position. It's not a strong position
- 15:03Speaker 1: to be running and catch a football with your hands
- 15:06Speaker 1: straight out right now, you have the ball in your hands,
- 15:08Speaker 1: a fingertip catch, not even in your palms. Wasn't even
- 15:10Speaker 1: like a secured catch, a fingertip catch, and then you
- 15:13Speaker 1: bring it into your body quick enough to where once
- 15:15Speaker 1: you hit the ground you have complete control of it.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It was just a really athletic play from a really
- 15:21Speaker 1: athletic football player. Well, when I look at it, um,
- 15:24Speaker 1: we have a lot of talented receivers on this football team,
- 15:27Speaker 1: but that play right there, I think Josh Gordon's the
- 15:30Speaker 1: only person that makes that play with that full extension,
- 15:32Speaker 1: just his size, the body control, as you mentioned, the
- 15:36Speaker 1: long arms, and he was striding too. He was he
- 15:38Speaker 1: was hustling out, you know what I mean. So it
- 15:40Speaker 1: was yeah, that other than like you said, other than
- 15:42Speaker 1: Lockett's toe tap and then the other diving catch I
- 15:45Speaker 1: think he had against the Ravens. That that's probably the
- 15:47Speaker 1: best catch we've seen all season. Yeah, best catch we've
- 15:50Speaker 1: seen all season. And he makes it look easy. Then
- 15:51Speaker 1: he gets up like nothing like before. Yeah. Man, come on, man, man,
- 15:55Speaker 1: look look at my history. Man, I do this. I
- 15:57Speaker 1: was the next play he's been in. But the rest
- 16:00Speaker 1: of the receivers, all right, So you mentioned Josh Gordon,
- 16:02Speaker 1: What else do you see for those guys we get
- 16:03Speaker 1: DK had two catches for thirty six yards, one nineteen
- 16:07Speaker 1: yard touchdown, which was great because I think what he
- 16:10Speaker 1: needs to improve on is just attacking the football in
- 16:13Speaker 1: the air and how to attack it, meaning hand selection.
- 16:16Speaker 1: How are my hands gonna be when I catched this football?
- 16:19Speaker 1: And as the season's gone along, he's seen him get
- 16:21Speaker 1: more and more comfortable making those big, big plays, especially
- 16:24Speaker 1: over the top. Malik Turner had three catches for twenty
- 16:26Speaker 1: six yards, which I was happy to see because he
- 16:28Speaker 1: did have a drop against the Rams. I asked Pete
- 16:30Speaker 1: even bringing that up, He goes, no, we knew he'd
- 16:32Speaker 1: be all right, but as a receiver, I feel for him.
- 16:35Speaker 1: So to see him come back and have three catches awesome.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Jacob Hollister three cats for twenty three. He also had
- 16:40Speaker 1: a drop, came back three catches awesome. Both of these
- 16:43Speaker 1: guys had three targets three catches after having dropped the
- 16:46Speaker 1: previous week. That means their mental toughness is crazy. C. J.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Prosie had a cast for ten yards. Jb our Boy
- 16:52Speaker 1: JB had a cast for nine. Chris Carson had one
- 16:55Speaker 1: cast for four. A. George Fan almost had a touchdown.
- 16:58Speaker 1: He caught that ball. Now he caught the ball that
- 17:00Speaker 1: was the second that might be the number four. You're right,
- 17:03Speaker 1: you are right that list because that was not an
- 17:05Speaker 1: easy football to catch. When he went on this route,
- 17:07Speaker 1: I go, oh, is that George Fan. I'm like, he's
- 17:08Speaker 1: running a deep rout and oh my goodness, he just
- 17:11Speaker 1: you know, maybe he's getting the receivers a little bit
- 17:13Speaker 1: more to work on getting those big feet in the
- 17:15Speaker 1: end zone. It's a lot different now, but that for
- 17:17Speaker 1: him a guy that size is moving that way to
- 17:19Speaker 1: get his hands on the ball underneath the football. It
- 17:21Speaker 1: was great to see. So it doesn't count in the
- 17:23Speaker 1: stat book, but it counts for the rest of us
- 17:25Speaker 1: because we all saw it. Yeah, he needs to put
- 17:26Speaker 1: that on his highlight tape, show his kids. Right. The
- 17:28Speaker 1: best thing we learned from this game, the Seahawks finished
- 17:31Speaker 1: a regular season with a seven one wrecking on the road,
- 17:33Speaker 1: which is the best Enfranchise history. Again, seven and one
- 17:38Speaker 1: on the road, it's very tough to do. All the
- 17:41Speaker 1: East Coast games that they have. They take care. They
- 17:43Speaker 1: take care of the road. Now, if they take care
- 17:45Speaker 1: of home, they were gonna set themselves up for a
- 17:47Speaker 1: great offseason. They Seahouse got the passing offense back on track,
- 17:50Speaker 1: and Tyler Lockett was a big part of that. Again,
- 17:52Speaker 1: if he's not bawling, if he's not healthy, if he's
- 17:54Speaker 1: not explosive, this passing game is gonna struggle bet last,
- 17:57Speaker 1: but not at least first place in the NFC West
- 18:00Speaker 1: with two games to go, you guys saw the Niners
- 18:03Speaker 1: lose last play to the Falcons. You saw the Rams
- 18:06Speaker 1: get beat up by the Cowboys. The Hawks took care
- 18:08Speaker 1: of business. They have clinched the playoff spot. Now it's
- 18:12Speaker 1: about getting that division and they take care of business.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Next two weeks they should be able to do that again.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Thanks for listening, it's been real. I'm your host, Michael
- 18:19Speaker 1: Bumpus along with my boy my dog Nasa Choby. We
- 18:23Speaker 1: will see you next time.
