- 2:34Speaker 3: over a sixty two year old woman who had been
- 2:36Speaker 3: lying in the roadway after a hit and run in
- 2:39Speaker 3: Highbla Valley on September twenty third. She had been struck
- 2:43Speaker 3: by a black Mercedes before officers arrived, and the officer
- 2:48Speaker 3: involved in that is now on restricted duty while the
- 2:51Speaker 3: investigation is ongoing. A thirty five year old man is

- 3:48Speaker 2: All right, thanks Chili. Coming up next, an inspirational quote
- 3:52Speaker 2: to get us all going on this Friday morning and
- 3:54Speaker 2: get us in the right head space as we head
- 3:56Speaker 2: into the weekend together. Chil's going to read our morning
- 3:59Speaker 2: mindset next. More great eighties songs like that coming up
- 4:03Speaker 2: on our Best of the Eighties weekend starting today at
- 4:05Speaker 2: five o'clock with ninety seven point one Wash FM. It's
- 4:08Speaker 2: Toby and Chilly in the Morning. I'm kiddoshe it is
- 4:10Speaker 2: time now for our morning mindset, And.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Because it's Friday and it is our Best at the
- 4:14Speaker 3: Eighties weekend, I'd like to choose a song from the
- 4:17Speaker 3: eighties to.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Inspire us all.
- 4:19Speaker 3: And Sweet Dreams is a song by the Eurythmics, and
- 4:22Speaker 3: in that song, she says, I travel the world and
- 4:26Speaker 3: the seven seas. Everybody is looking for something, no matter
- 4:30Speaker 3: who you are or where you come from. This reminds
- 4:33Speaker 3: us that everybody's on their own journey they're searching for
- 4:35Speaker 3: something that matters to them, whether it's happiness, success, love,
- 4:39Speaker 3: or purpose. You're not alone and wanting more or striving
- 4:43Speaker 3: for your goals. So let's remember that and ask ourselves
- 4:47Speaker 3: what are we searching for? Sweet dreams and eurhythmic say,
- 4:50Speaker 3: I travel the world and the seven seas. Everybody is
- 4:54Speaker 3: looking for something. And you can find that quote if
- 4:58Speaker 3: you follow us on inste Graham WASHFM or on our
- 5:02Speaker 3: Facebook page.
- 5:03Speaker 4: We post it every day. So thank you so much.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I love that you can share it with somebody that
- 5:07Speaker 2: may need that quote as well. On this Friday morning.
- 5:09Speaker 2: All right, coming up next, the way the Commanders play
- 5:12Speaker 2: football may be changing because of AI. We'll tell you
- 5:16Speaker 2: about that next. Toby and Tilly in the Morning, ninety
- 5:19Speaker 2: seven point one wash FM. I'm kiddoshe Friday morning in DC.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Is AI the worst thing that could happen to the
- 5:26Speaker 2: game of football?
- 5:27Speaker 3: Well, I don't know. Do you want accuracy? Because if
- 5:30Speaker 3: you say yes, maybe it won't be so bad. The
- 5:32Speaker 3: reason we're talking about is because Roger Goodell, who is
- 5:35Speaker 3: the commissioner for the NFL, he recently got together and
- 5:38Speaker 3: is talking about how AI could assist with officiating because
- 5:44Speaker 3: as technology improves, you know, with all the camera angles available,
- 5:48Speaker 3: we could have more computer involvement and rely less on
- 5:53Speaker 3: human referees who have an almost impossible job, if you
- 5:57Speaker 3: think about it, of keeping an eye on twenty two
- 5:59Speaker 3: giant men right for every single play. And so that's
- 6:03Speaker 3: why Goodell is like, Okay, how can we get more
- 6:06Speaker 3: calls right?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Well, you only hate a bad call when it's against
- 6:09Speaker 2: your team, That's true. So otherwise you get away with
- 6:12Speaker 2: something You're like, hey, okay, well it looks like it
- 6:14Speaker 2: was Maybe.
- 6:14Speaker 3: We're both football fans, right. What is your thought when
- 6:17Speaker 3: you hear that this could be happening?
- 6:18Speaker 2: I think it's a terrible idea because the game has
- 6:21Speaker 2: already been so slowed down by stopping every five seconds
- 6:26Speaker 2: for something. I feel like the computer will Ai'll be
- 6:30Speaker 2: going off every okay, one second saying so we're not
- 6:33Speaker 2: going to get the game done.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Okay, So you want to keep relying on those human eyes.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yes, championships have been won and lost because of human error,
- 6:40Speaker 2: and I.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Don't trust every rest.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I feel like there's some biases and some favoritism going on.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I think technology, if it's going to get it right
- 6:48Speaker 3: and go down to a technicality and that wasn't a
- 6:51Speaker 3: first down or wasn't a touchdown?
- 6:53Speaker 4: Then bring it on, Robot.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I think we have a debate going here and we'd
- 6:57Speaker 2: love for you to join that debate. So open up
- 7:00Speaker 2: the iHeartRadio app right now. Make sure you're listening to
- 7:03Speaker 2: ninety seven point one WASHFM. You're going to see a
- 7:05Speaker 2: red microphone. How do you feel about this? Is this
- 7:08Speaker 2: a good idea or a bad idea? Tap that red microphone?
- 7:11Speaker 2: Leave us a message. It comes directly here to the studio.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Well you do that. Chili's going to work on Top
- 7:15Speaker 2: Stories and we'll also line up more music for your
- 7:17Speaker 2: Friday morning drive in. Next on WASHFM, Sara McLachlin is

- 9:48Speaker 3: can cut their risk of death and heart disease by
- 9:51Speaker 3: up to forty percent. Researchers found that even modest daily
- 9:55Speaker 3: activity can have a major positive effect on overall health forecasts. Today,

- 16:27Speaker 2: out of work. We'll share that story with you next.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Great nineties throwback for you on this Friday Morning with

- 16:36Speaker 2: kidd o'she On Friday mornings, we like to share a
- 16:39Speaker 2: really nice story with you that puts you in a
- 16:41Speaker 2: good mood. It's our feel good Friday story.
- 16:43Speaker 3: So in Montgomery County there's a new center that opened
- 16:45Speaker 3: up to help federal workers who many have suddenly found
- 16:48Speaker 3: themselves out of a job. And since it has opened
- 16:51Speaker 3: on October ninth, that hasn't been that long. Over two
- 16:54Speaker 3: hundred people have come by Mobilize Montgomery Federal Workforce Center.
- 17:00Speaker 3: It's in Wheaton, and they're looking for support and a
- 17:03Speaker 3: way forward. What makes this a really special place is
- 17:06Speaker 3: that a lot of the staff have been in the
- 17:07Speaker 3: very same shoes. They were federal government workers. They worked
- 17:11Speaker 3: in federal jobs, they faced the same struggles. They're there
- 17:14Speaker 3: to guide former federal employees through some tough times, helping
- 17:18Speaker 3: with everything from updating your resume to exploring new career paths,
- 17:22Speaker 3: all with understanding and care and county leaders know how
- 17:26Speaker 3: hard losing a federal job can be, especially after years
- 17:28Speaker 3: of service, and they're determined to help people get back
- 17:31Speaker 3: on their feet. So this center in Wheaton shows just
- 17:35Speaker 3: how powerful community support can be when life throws those
- 17:38Speaker 3: unexpected curve balls your way. If you want more information
- 17:42Speaker 3: those who are affected by the federal government shutdown can
