- 0:27One we are here attic brewing. It is absolutely jam packed here
- 0:32for labor of love Wrestle John. I'm super excited to be here
- 0:37Mania weekend and the reason I'm here because your boy's broke
- 0:40and I'm a bum and I can't afford anything.
- 0:42So I snuck in with this handsome fella and huge thank you once
- 0:46again to labor of love for having us and letting us record
- 0:48these as well as attic brewing. You guys make amazing beer.
- 0:51I left it over there. I I swear I'm I'm still
- 0:54drinking. The cream ale is fantastic, but
- 0:57I'm here today with. It's Alex Watt.
- 1:00Some call me the kilowatt. I am the HIBC, the head bitch in
- 1:07chart. Can I swear on that?
- 1:08Absolutely. OK.
- 1:11Some call me the daddy. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:13Some, some say thick. It's a it's a select few, but
- 1:16some call me a thick daddy. It happens, It happens, right?
- 1:19You can't take that away from me.
- 1:20I'm not. I don't hate it.
- 1:21Some say Poppy. I don't know.
- 1:24What is your current goal in life?
- 1:27My biggest goal in life right now honestly, is to grow high
- 1:32tension wrestling slowly but surely.
- 1:34My philosophy is, you know, slow and steady wins the race, but I
- 1:39also have like a goal that's in tandem with that, which is to
- 1:45maintain a work life balance with that, not to get completely
- 1:48lost in it and to maintain the enjoyment of it and the passion,
- 1:53you know? Absolutely.
- 1:55Well, what are you currently doing to achieve that goal?
- 1:59I'm being more open with my communication, I'm delegating
- 2:03more, I'm trusting more people. That's a big part of it.
- 2:08I'm also talking to myself a bit more positively and reminding
- 2:13myself like, it's not a competition.
- 2:17Like just do your thing at your own pace, as well as working
- 2:22with other great people, like labor of love, like they're
- 2:24instrumental. The collaboration is just out of
- 2:28this world with these good people.
- 2:30Those labor of love already has that that vibe that we that
- 2:35you've tried to like, that has been there since.
- 2:37Can't believe Frog has been there.
- 2:38High tension. I feel at home.
- 2:40I feel like I'm on a high tension.
- 2:41Show it meshes really well. Not like Dylan Mesh, he's a
- 2:44piece of crap. I mean, go bears.
- 2:46Always go bears. We bleed black and gold, baby,
- 2:49you know what I mean? But what is holding you back are
- 2:52a distraction. Time, time is a big thing.
- 3:00Just Full disclosure, the older I get, the more I realize things
- 3:05about myself like, you know, unmedicated ADHD and, and, and
- 3:11learning how to understand what that is and manage it as well as
- 3:16other like, you know, mental struggles and stuff.
- 3:19And trying to balance that out and learn that and, and be able
- 3:23to manage my time when it's, it's a huge distraction at
- 3:27times. Sometimes I'm not motivated to
- 3:30do the things I'm passionate about and, and that sucks.
- 3:33So again, it's, it's time management I think is key.
- 3:37But I do struggle with it. Yeah.
- 3:40Who or what motivates or inspires you?
- 3:43You I appreciate that and and that's authentic.
- 3:47It's it's you, it's it's Billy Avery, it's Laura who is
- 3:52instrumental in almost holding my hand.
- 3:55The goat. She is she Laura Crane, it's her
- 3:59gimmick name, but instrumental in holding my hand through
- 4:02things in in a sense and helping me manage my time and organize
- 4:06an agenda in order of things that have to get done.
- 4:11And it's people like Ethan Wilde and Brian Ace who behind the
- 4:15scenes are just wonderful people who deserve the opportunities
- 4:19that I'm trying to provide. And they inspire me, you know,
- 4:23they absolutely do. What are you grateful for and
- 4:26are you currently happy? Oh boy.
- 4:31To get real dark. It might though, because I'm
- 4:36great. I'm grateful for the human
- 4:38connection that I have with people.
- 4:40That is probably the one of the most the things I've most come
- 4:44to cherish as an adult. Am I happy?
- 4:49I used to think that happiness was like a thing that I could
- 4:52obtain. And then I've come to realize
- 4:54like I only find happiness in moments.
- 4:58And these are moments where we're doing something cool or
- 5:02where I'm connecting with somebody on a genuine level.
- 5:05And those are the moments that I try to have more frequently.
- 5:08But as a baseline, like I, I don't experience happiness all
- 5:13the time, but there is a level of contentment and I'm OK with
- 5:18that. Yeah, absolutely.
- 5:20Where can people find or support you?
- 5:23Support. I mean, you can find me at Real
- 5:26Kilowatt on all social media. Definitely support high tension
- 5:30wrestling at high 8 whoops at high tension HTW.
- 5:35It's been a while since I've done these things again on all
- 5:39social media. Check us out, you know, look for
- 5:43future shows and check out our friends and partners.
- 5:46Absolutely. All right, we'll see you guys on
- 5:48the next one. A5 questions ABJ WrestleMania
- 5:51weekend, we're out. for that post credits scene.
- 6:36We we go back. We do.
- 6:38We go way back. We go back like spinal cords and
- 6:41seats, you know what I mean? But I want to ask, I want to ask
- 6:44you is what when it comes to recapturing your love for this
- 6:49business and what you want to accomplish in this business and
- 6:52stuff like that, where, where do you like, what is your overall
- 6:56pool of like when it comes to booking talent, looking for
- 6:59storyline things and fixtures? What do you drive that from and
- 7:03what is what like? What is your biggest muse when
- 7:05it comes to like inspiration for that?
- 7:09If I if I pull away from the collaboration and I pull away
- 7:12from the people bringing me good ideas or character based ideas,
- 7:19typically I base it off somebody's character and I go
- 7:23what would this person do or what would they do in this
- 7:26situation? So usually all of my stories I
- 7:29come up with are based off the characters I want to book and
- 7:33what they would do in the world that I create.
- 7:36Now that weren't a thing, I would probably just RIP off
- 7:40movies all the time. Yeah, so I'm going to, I'm going
- 7:43to, I'm going to double up on this one.
- 7:46Who is a character in the world of the independent wrestling
- 7:49that you love to play with inside your universe the most.
- 7:53Like, you look at their character, you're like, oh man,
- 7:55how can I, how can I tweak them and use them to my liking?
- 7:58Because I like, I already like what they bring and I would like
- 8:01to challenge them with something different.
- 8:06I mean, the first thing comes to mind is Doctor Ethan Wilde.
- 8:09Oh yes, yes, his new like it's not new but his new layer is so
- 8:15good. It's he took what he already had
- 8:18from Leapfrog and he added something to it.
- 8:21Like as a team, I think we all came up with this Wild LLC
- 8:25concept and he built upon it. We gave him some tools to add to
- 8:30it, such as we gave him Luca Mancini and and Dylan Mesh and
- 8:36then we we we've started to build upon that.
- 8:39I got to get him for five questions today.
- 8:41That's going to happen. Absolutely.
- 8:43So yeah, he's probably the top one, although everybody we play
- 8:46with at High Tension Wrestling. Consensually.
- 8:50Consensually, they're absolutely amazing and fun to do so.
- 8:55Yes, absolutely. All right, we'll see you guys
- 8:57next time. Please go check out High Tension
- 8:59Wrestling's YouTube page. We worked very hard on it.
- 9:03There's a lot of great stuff there, man.
- 9:05All of Camp leapfrogs back catalog is there.
- 9:07You have to check that out. It's it's so good, as well as
- 9:10all the high tension stuff as well.
- 9:11It's all there. It's all fantastic.
- 9:13Go support it. It's absolutely free.
- 9:15So if there's no excuse, go watch it, check it out until the
- 9:18next time we're out of here. That's awesome.
- 9:21Sick dude, thanks.
