- 1:01Speaker 4: So is that a dog? What's that? Is it a dog?

- 1:26Speaker 8: outside of that, look, she's Wednesday, fellas, as we're saying
- 1:29Speaker 8: on the podcast, two more sweeps ago until the end
- 1:32Speaker 8: of the year. For us, it's getting pretty sad now.

- 1:53Speaker 6: I think I have one day a week where I
- 1:54Speaker 6: feel like I'm behind or chasing my tail next today,
- 1:57Speaker 6: but I'm grateful to be here with you fellows.
- 1:58Speaker 1: You know what I mean. It's all g see. I
- 2:00Speaker 1: reckon you'd probably at five days a week where I
- 2:02Speaker 1: think you're behind. Hey, mog, what's coming up on the
- 2:08Speaker 1: show today?
- 2:08Speaker 4: Man?
- 2:12Speaker 6: What's happening on the Big show with old Mogi?
- 2:15Speaker 8: That was pretty good on the Old Buttons here from
- 2:17Speaker 8: Pugs and just want to flag that with everyone.
- 2:19Speaker 6: That was good stuff, just so I screwed up later, Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 6: what would that happen?
- 2:23Speaker 8: Hey, Today we've got a huge interview with Tom Sainsbury,
- 2:27Speaker 8: who's got a TV show version of his podcast coming out,
- 2:31Speaker 8: Small Town Scandal, Mogi's Top Five. Today we're going to
- 2:35Speaker 8: be doing podcasts man. Hopefully the Big Show features. People
- 2:38Speaker 8: are going to be riveted by that. And then next
- 2:41Speaker 8: up Fellas. I had a hell of a night last month,
- 2:43Speaker 8: oh old mogie here ran into his hall pass. Ah okay,
- 2:49Speaker 8: got a hall pass? Yeah, ran into mine last night
- 2:52Speaker 8: and it was something else let me tell.
- 2:54Speaker 1: You far out. Also, you chanced shortly to win one
- 2:58Speaker 1: hundred dollars worth of rebigers to get Rid to call
- 3:00Speaker 1: us on an eight hundred haducky.
- 3:01Speaker 4: This is the Strokes last night.
- 3:04Speaker 2: The Hiarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio Hdarchy.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Both of them. More on The Hidarcky Big Show thirty
- 3:10Speaker 1: minutes past four this Wednesday afternoon with Kezy Megan or
- 3:13Speaker 1: Pugsar Fellas.
- 3:15Speaker 8: Last night I had a hell of a night. Oh yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 8: I I ran into my hall pass.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Ah, so hall pass. Being the one person you're allowed
- 3:26Speaker 1: to sort of have an affair.
- 3:28Speaker 8: With you and your you and your partner generally, well,
- 3:31Speaker 8: you know, you have an agreement efforts. If you're on
- 3:34Speaker 8: the off chance that I run into this person, usually
- 3:37Speaker 8: it's got to be a celebrity.
- 3:38Speaker 4: It's got to be a well known person.
- 3:39Speaker 8: It can't be your neighbor, yeah right, or Kate from
- 3:42Speaker 8: the office from work.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah, well no, that's not my hall past, Kate.
- 3:48Speaker 8: It's got to be somebody famous. Otherwise, you know, there's
- 3:51Speaker 8: too much for a chance of having. So it's got
- 3:52Speaker 8: to be something that is just so unlikely it will
- 3:55Speaker 8: really never happen. Yeah, but if you did run into them,
- 3:58Speaker 8: the idea is that you're partner would be sweet with it, and.
- 4:01Speaker 1: They were up for it. Your hall pass was up
- 4:03Speaker 1: for it.
- 4:03Speaker 8: Your pass is well, that's the thing, because there's one
- 4:05Speaker 8: thing that you run into your hall pass, it's completely
- 4:07Speaker 8: another thing that the celebrity is going to show the
- 4:09Speaker 8: slightest bit of interest in you. And I don't mean
- 4:11Speaker 8: you kezy yeah, but you know the worldly the you.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Well, it's just the royal you.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Yeah, the royal you. Thank you.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Let's just say so, I'm still so happy from last night.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Let's just say Mark, you just quickly before we get
- 4:24Speaker 1: to last night. Let's say Margot Robbie. I do, yes, right,
- 4:29Speaker 1: A bump into Margot Robbie and I just said her, hey, Margo,
- 4:31Speaker 1: just so you know you're my hall pass. She doesn't
- 4:34Speaker 1: then have to go, okay, well let's gues No, that's right.
- 4:36Speaker 6: Yeah no, but she would be stoked though if you
- 4:38Speaker 6: said that, Margot Robbie.
- 4:40Speaker 8: If that doesn't work, I'll be shocked. But yeah, she'd
- 4:43Speaker 8: never get anything done.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Who's yours? Pogson?
- 4:47Speaker 6: You remember that TV show I was talking about yesterday,
- 4:49Speaker 6: I Love La with Rachel Sennate. Oh yes, yeah, I
- 4:52Speaker 6: mean celebrity crush pass. It makes sense.
- 4:54Speaker 1: No, I thought your celebrity crush was the actor who
- 4:57Speaker 1: played Velma on the Scooby Doo. Yeah, no, you're right,
- 4:59Speaker 1: lind the Adeline Linda Carlin who's also on the Penguin.
- 5:04Speaker 6: No, oh, she's not different actress. But I see the confusion.
- 5:09Speaker 8: Anyway, Fellas, I was out and about last night. I
- 5:12Speaker 8: went to a little bar here that's just around the corner.
- 5:16Speaker 8: I was just having this quite drink with somebody, a
- 5:20Speaker 8: work drink. That person left and I was just finishing up.
- 5:24Speaker 8: I had a jug left, so you sat.
- 5:26Speaker 1: There by yourself, drinking into like a super jug.
- 5:28Speaker 8: Yeah, just finishing it off because you don't want to
- 5:30Speaker 8: waste it.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Was it like a situation where your workman was like
- 5:35Speaker 1: you were coming back with a full jug and then they.
- 5:37Speaker 8: Were like yeah, exactly, yeah cool, but fellas, let's not
- 5:42Speaker 8: get off topic. It's not about the jug anyway. I'm
- 5:46Speaker 8: sitting there and then there's a bit of a murmur
- 5:48Speaker 8: that goes through the bar and you can sort of
- 5:51Speaker 8: feel the presence of someone's comment and I turn around
- 5:54Speaker 8: alarm and behold and a small group of people's coming.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Yeah it's my hall pass. Holy cow.
- 5:59Speaker 8: And I think to myself, well, now's my chance. Yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 8: but I was also very aware of the fact that
- 6:06Speaker 8: you know, your partner says, oh yeah, it's fine, but
- 6:09Speaker 8: they didn't think there's actually going to be an opportunity.
- 6:11Speaker 8: So I quickly got on the phone called my wife
- 6:13Speaker 8: and she was like, yeah, sure, that's fine.
- 6:16Speaker 5: Wow.
- 6:18Speaker 4: She was like yeah, go for it.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Okay, go for it.
- 6:20Speaker 8: She was like yes, So that was I was like, oh, thanks,
- 6:23Speaker 8: thanks babe, we'll see you later.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I guess.
- 6:27Speaker 8: Anyway, I think now's my chance, So I need a
- 6:31Speaker 8: bit of carriage. I scale this jug and then I'm
- 6:35Speaker 8: straight over there and I have a yarn.
- 6:37Speaker 4: She's at the bar ordering.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, how do you start things?
- 6:42Speaker 6: Oh?
- 6:42Speaker 8: I said, what are you drinking there? I recommend the
- 6:45Speaker 8: super jokey. She didn't know what that was because she's
- 6:51Speaker 8: not from New Zealand. So I'm now I'm explaining jugs
- 6:55Speaker 8: to her, just explaining jugs. Yeah, to your hall park,
- 6:58Speaker 8: to my hall pass. Anyway, I've got, you know, a
- 7:01Speaker 8: couple of beers of me, so I'm pretty charming. I'm like,
- 7:03Speaker 8: you know when you play Paul, when you've had just
- 7:05Speaker 8: the right amount of beers. I'm in the Goldie like zone.
- 7:08Speaker 8: I'm just the right amount of charming. So we sit
- 7:10Speaker 8: down and we just sort of chat the night away,
- 7:14Speaker 8: and one thing leads to another, and it was a
- 7:17Speaker 8: hell of a night of passion, Fellas.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Really one hell of a night of passion.
- 7:21Speaker 8: So look for all those people out there that think
- 7:24Speaker 8: it's not possible that you're never going to get your
- 7:26Speaker 8: hall pass, that you know, what are the chances of
- 7:28Speaker 8: it happening. There is a chance of it happening. It
- 7:30Speaker 8: can happen. It happened to me, So keep on dreaming.
- 7:34Speaker 8: Well done man, And not only was it just the
- 7:36Speaker 8: hall past, there was more than one person involved.
- 7:38Speaker 4: What an I feel like?
- 7:44Speaker 1: Who is the hall pass?
- 7:45Speaker 4: Oprah Winfrey and Steadman.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I'm so stokedy you man, that's so great.
- 7:58Speaker 6: I'm over the moon outside for a moment from Smitten Sweeten.
- 8:06Speaker 2: The Whodichy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 8:09Speaker 2: in week days at four on Radio Hodachy.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Harvey, Danger on the Huducky Big Show twenty one minutes
- 8:14Speaker 1: to five this Wednesday afternoon with Keezy, Moggie and Old
- 8:16Speaker 1: pugsn and it's time for the Big Reburger Regift.
- 8:24Speaker 8: You're good on the old the wheels A what do
- 8:28Speaker 8: you call those pugs and pegs?
- 8:30Speaker 4: Ah? That's you. You hear what Mogi said.
- 8:32Speaker 1: He said you're good on the wheels, Keezy, There's a
- 8:35Speaker 1: sentence that doesn't make sense. He was trying to say,
- 8:37Speaker 1: you're good at running the buttons and stuff pokes.
- 8:39Speaker 4: You know? Yeah? Do you bring this kind of energy
- 8:42Speaker 4: when you're dj.
- 8:44Speaker 6: My energy is garbage when I'm DJing.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Want to be there, fellas. I could just get back
- 8:50Speaker 1: to the Big Reburger Regift, which is a huge campaign
- 8:54Speaker 1: we're running.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Congratulations on naming that.
- 8:57Speaker 8: The sort of segment we've got as well, the Reburger regift,
- 9:02Speaker 8: Yeah on the wheel. Things that make no sense.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Well, it was either that or the Reburger redial.
- 9:08Speaker 4: That's good. Yeah, but it also doesn't really make None
- 9:10Speaker 4: of them makes sense.
- 9:11Speaker 1: The way this competition works is you call us on
- 9:13Speaker 1: eight hundred Hodarchy, We ask you what you do for
- 9:16Speaker 1: a crust, and then Pugs plays a Reburger sting. You
- 9:20Speaker 1: then have to copy it and you'll get yourself one
- 9:23Speaker 1: hundred dollars worth of Reburger. Let's go to the first person,
- 9:26Speaker 1: get a nick.

- 9:50Speaker 1: too bad.
- 9:52Speaker 4: That's too bad.
- 9:53Speaker 1: That's good, nick, that's good. Hey, Pugs is going to

- 10:38Speaker 4: Jace.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Do you have that little knob on the steering wheel men,
- 10:43Speaker 1: the knob that you put on the steering wheel of
- 10:45Speaker 1: a forklift so you can spin the wheel round really fast?
- 10:48Speaker 7: Of course?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Jase. A little bit of forklift chat there,
- 10:53Speaker 1: all right, Jas, Pugs is going to play a sting.
- 10:55Speaker 1: If you can copy it, you get yourself one hundred
- 10:57Speaker 1: dollars with a reburger. Here we go.

- 11:03Speaker 1: Yuh, good work, Jason, one hundred bucks with the reburger

- 12:29Speaker 1: tell you what another successful Reburger regift.
- 12:32Speaker 4: It's a gym, absolute gem.
- 12:34Speaker 6: Do you think we're making it too easy, like we
- 12:36Speaker 6: should like maybe encourage a little more competition or just
- 12:41Speaker 6: or are they just that good?
- 12:42Speaker 4: I don't want to get in the way of a
- 12:44Speaker 4: man's or a woman's reburger we're going to avoid it
- 12:47Speaker 4: fair enough.
- 12:48Speaker 2: The Hdarchy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Kezy Tune
- 12:52Speaker 2: in on Radio.
- 12:55Speaker 1: You two the Fly on the Huckey Big Show Wednesday
- 12:57Speaker 1: afternoon with Kezy, Murgie and pugsn time minutes to five o'clock,
- 13:01Speaker 1: which means it's time to talk Telly.
- 13:04Speaker 5: What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue?
- 13:11Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, fellas.
- 13:20Speaker 8: Last night I watched Formula One. It's a movie. It's
- 13:24Speaker 8: on Apple. You can rent it if you like, but
- 13:27Speaker 8: it's also available there if you've got a subscription. It
- 13:30Speaker 8: stars Bread Pitt and it goes for two hours and
- 13:34Speaker 8: thirty six minutes.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Really the Formula one movie done.
- 13:36Speaker 8: Two hours and thirty six minute also got Havy Bardim,
- 13:39Speaker 8: who I love usually, but not in this this movie.
- 13:44Speaker 8: Now you've reviewed this Pig Sam before it and you
- 13:48Speaker 8: didn't like it?
- 13:49Speaker 1: Could you tell?
- 13:50Speaker 4: And my opinion is this movie sucks?
- 13:55Speaker 1: I thought because you were enjoying the first.
- 13:56Speaker 4: And I did enjoy it, but it still sucks.
- 13:59Speaker 8: Yeah, there's nothing about Brad Pitt is He's had a
- 14:03Speaker 8: bit of work done. I will say that for him,
- 14:05Speaker 8: he's had a bit of work down the old face
- 14:07Speaker 8: isn't moving like it used to. But it's a story
- 14:09Speaker 8: of an old guy who used to be a Formula
- 14:12Speaker 8: one racing driver and his former teammate played by Javier Bardem,
- 14:18Speaker 8: comes to get him to be in the second seat
- 14:20Speaker 8: on his struggling Formula one team. So when your team
- 14:23Speaker 8: is struggling, who do you get a sixty three year
- 14:26Speaker 8: old dude? Brad Pitts. Brad Pitts and so it's ridiculous.
- 14:31Speaker 8: It is really is a huge commercial. It's genius in
- 14:35Speaker 8: that sense that they get a chance to plug every
- 14:37Speaker 8: bear and every you know, big brand watch and all that.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Sort of stuff. But it's Brad pitt Man.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Brad pitt Is Orlando Blooming or am I thinking.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Of that was another driving movie from that video game? Yeah, So.
- 14:52Speaker 8: The first night we watched our last night, we had
- 14:54Speaker 8: an hour and a half to go. We watched it
- 14:57Speaker 8: for two hours and we got about fifteen minutes into
- 15:02Speaker 8: the car the final race of the season. Yeah, and
- 15:06Speaker 8: I paused it and had looks up. My brother called
- 15:08Speaker 8: me and I had to look at how much time
- 15:09Speaker 8: was left, and there was still another thirty five minutes left.
- 15:11Speaker 8: So somehow I don't know, It says the running time
- 15:14Speaker 8: is two hours thirty six. I think it's four and
- 15:15Speaker 8: a half hours. Wow, it certainly feels like it, but
- 15:20Speaker 8: I give it. I give it three start. I recommend
- 15:21Speaker 8: it because it's movies star as Brad pitt has now
- 15:25Speaker 8: entered Robert Redford's territory. He's just a big ass movie
- 15:29Speaker 8: star and he gets to wander around Ben Brad.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Pitt, which is pretty sweet.
- 15:34Speaker 8: It's recommend for me, and I wish I had a
- 15:36Speaker 8: seen it on the big screen because I would have
- 15:37Speaker 8: watched it in one sitting instead of what is going
- 15:40Speaker 8: to be three sittings. I still haven't finished it, and
- 15:43Speaker 8: it would have been great on the big screen. The
- 15:45Speaker 8: way it shot is really cool. It's done by the
- 15:46Speaker 8: guy that did Top Game, Maverick looks pretty amazing. I
- 15:49Speaker 8: mean I don't care about car racing. No, Yeah, I
- 15:53Speaker 8: like Brad pitt Man. He has some col closes coll
- 15:55Speaker 8: closed in it.
- 15:56Speaker 6: Can I just say that was my favorite thing about
- 15:58Speaker 6: it was the way it was shot right. The way
- 16:00Speaker 6: that they got the cameras onto those cars is unbelievable
- 16:03Speaker 6: and that was by far, well for me, the best
- 16:05Speaker 6: thing about it.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure. Yeah, and for me, Brad pitt So
- 16:10Speaker 4: three Busiest.
- 16:11Speaker 8: I think I think you might as well watch it.
- 16:13Speaker 8: You're not gonna love it, but I don't think you
- 16:16Speaker 8: gotta hate it. And it's you know, it's big, stole
- 16:19Speaker 8: Hollywood movie making stuff, and I think there's some appeal
- 16:21Speaker 8: in that.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Yeah, right, Okay, it.
- 16:23Speaker 8: Could have been an hour shorter one hundred percent, but
- 16:25Speaker 8: that would have been an hour list that they could
- 16:27Speaker 8: have put more ads and for products.
- 16:29Speaker 4: To be fair formula one.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I've done it really well since taking it over from
- 16:32Speaker 1: Bernard Bernie Ekelstein, who was kind of very old school
- 16:35Speaker 1: and very much like, you know, this is this is
- 16:38Speaker 1: for the wealth, this is a sport for the wealthy,
- 16:40Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah. And then Drive to Survive comes out.
- 16:43Speaker 1: They very much open it up. They you know, start
- 16:45Speaker 1: sharing lots of cool clips on Twitter, and you feel
- 16:48Speaker 1: like you know all the drivers now, and then they
- 16:50Speaker 1: make a blockbuster movie and get bread put to hop
- 16:53Speaker 1: back in the saddle up. Yeah, they're doing all the
- 16:55Speaker 1: right things for me. Yeah, ABS quite easily become like
- 16:58Speaker 1: an old fashioned thing that nobody cared about anymore.
- 17:01Speaker 8: Yeah, it's pretty cool to see the behind the scenes
- 17:03Speaker 8: stuff in this film. And how they do wind tunnels
- 17:06Speaker 8: and all the all the other all the things that
- 17:08Speaker 8: go into it that you'd have no idea about. It
- 17:11Speaker 8: is a hell of an investment that they're putting in
- 17:14Speaker 8: and it's also a hell of an investment that you'll
- 17:16Speaker 8: be putting in with your time trying to get through
- 17:18Speaker 8: this movie. But as I say, three busies.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Three busies out of five I watched Location, Location, Location.
- 17:23Speaker 4: I loved it. UK.
- 17:26Speaker 1: You know what I like about this that none of
- 17:27Speaker 1: the New Zealand shows do. At the end of the show,
- 17:30Speaker 1: They've got young couples, They've taken them to see three
- 17:33Speaker 1: different houses each. At the end of the show, the
- 17:36Speaker 1: host calls the real estate agent of the house and
- 17:39Speaker 1: puts the offering and then they buy the house. Every
- 17:42Speaker 1: single New Zealand home based show they just sort of
- 17:46Speaker 1: finish and go will they buy the house of see
- 17:49Speaker 1: you next week, whereas they actually do the bastering and
- 17:52Speaker 1: the deal and you see them buy the house in Stoke.
- 17:54Speaker 1: They are so some of New Zealand shows should try
- 17:57Speaker 1: to do more of it, leaving me bloody unsatisfied. Pugs
- 18:01Speaker 1: Are you coming up? After five o'clock? An interview with
- 18:04Speaker 1: Tom Sainsbury plus the next installment of Mogi's Top Fives.
- 18:09Speaker 2: The Hurdiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hurdarchy.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yes, it is the Hidarcky Big Show for the sementeenth
- 18:15Speaker 1: of December twenty twenty five, which is a Wednesday. And
- 18:18Speaker 1: you listen to the Hucky Big Show, brought to you
- 18:20Speaker 1: by Reburger.
- 18:21Speaker 6: Seven good times and good food dining and or take
- 18:23Speaker 6: away Reburger today.
- 18:25Speaker 7: Before produced, direct your attention to this nut swad. You'll
- 18:30Speaker 7: see the bullshog times and good food and it's with
- 18:37Speaker 7: your lord you dining four Toker Worlds rebuilding if you
- 18:43Speaker 7: deserve this nuke sword soon.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Certainly is yum. And of course Hoidy Jay not here
- 18:52Speaker 1: this week fellas he's officially already on holiday. He is
- 18:54Speaker 1: by go for them today.
- 18:55Speaker 8: It was in good spirits, It's great, very I'm thrilled
- 18:58Speaker 8: for him, absolutely lutely thrilled.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Why are you having a good holiday? Frowning now?
- 19:03Speaker 1: Apparently he spent.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Up tight last night because he had it.
- 19:07Speaker 8: He did a post in the on Instagram bet his
- 19:08Speaker 8: soup and his cheese toasty and you said to him
- 19:12Speaker 8: something really nice. So it looks young man and he
- 19:14Speaker 8: was like, shut up, keysy man, Well, I.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Can tell the story if you want, but it was
- 19:19Speaker 1: that was pretty much the gist of it. He spent
- 19:23Speaker 1: most of yesterday apparently making a tomato soup, right, and
- 19:26Speaker 1: then put a photo on the Instagram that looked like
- 19:28Speaker 1: pumpkin suit, which would have taken it did look like
- 19:30Speaker 1: pumpkin suit. I would have taken him three hours to
- 19:32Speaker 1: make the soup and four hours to upload the photo.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I commented, saying, glad to see you making the most
- 19:37Speaker 1: of your holiday, and he said, wow, Keezy, yes, this
- 19:41Speaker 1: isn't the only thing I've been doing, you know, my
- 19:43Speaker 1: money for my wife and my daughter to be on holidays.
- 19:45Speaker 1: And I was just like, I'm actually just joking around.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Can I also say?
- 19:48Speaker 6: I replied to his story as well, and I said,
- 19:51Speaker 6: can you please tag a Hodacky Big Show on inter
- 19:53Speaker 6: when you post these, just because the people want to
- 19:55Speaker 6: see the gold that you put it out? And he said,
- 19:57Speaker 6: are you taking the purse pug Son?
- 19:59Speaker 1: Yeah, man, which I wasn't you You were You're always
- 20:02Speaker 1: taking the past part that's it was probably stoned, which
- 20:06Speaker 1: would explain the paranoia.
- 20:08Speaker 4: You don't think everybody's attacking them for full sides.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yeah right, and spent an entire day making soup.
- 20:14Speaker 7: Hey.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Coming up next Moggi's Top fives. Today we go for
- 20:17Speaker 1: the top five podcast you've listened to them twenty twenty five?
- 20:21Speaker 4: Yes, speaking of podcasts.
- 20:22Speaker 1: A little later on as well, Tom Sainsbury coming in
- 20:25Speaker 1: to discuss his podcast, which has been turned into a
- 20:27Speaker 1: TV show. Holy Hecker for that though you got the
- 20:30Speaker 1: killers Smile like you mean it on the Huducky Big Show.
- 20:33Speaker 2: For the Hierarchy Big Show week days from four on
- 20:36Speaker 2: Radio Hurdarchy.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Hid like a Hole on The Hidarcky Big Show thirty
- 20:39Speaker 1: minutes past five o'clock this Wednesday afternoon with Kezy Moggi
- 20:42Speaker 1: and pugsn And it's time for another edition.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Of Moggie's Top five Dooge to do.
- 20:49Speaker 1: That's right, so, Mogi, we've done top five TV shows
- 20:52Speaker 1: for twenty five and movies?
- 20:54Speaker 4: Is that what we've done?
- 20:55Speaker 8: Jesus feels like so many more For some reason, we
- 20:57Speaker 8: should do top five of our top five.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Yeah, we might get to five today.
- 21:01Speaker 8: Yes, we're doing top five podcasts of the year for
- 21:05Speaker 8: each of us. I'm going to do mine in this break.
- 21:07Speaker 8: I've done a sort of a different measurement. These are
- 21:11Speaker 8: pretty much just podcasts that I always listen to. Yeah, okay,
- 21:15Speaker 8: so if it comes out, I listened to it, do
- 21:18Speaker 8: you know what I mean? Yeah, My absolute go to
- 21:21Speaker 8: is I've Got because I'm a pretty heavy podcast consumer
- 21:26Speaker 8: and so yeah, I get through a lot. But there's
- 21:29Speaker 8: a lot that I listen to every single day. Honorable
- 21:32Speaker 8: mention here, Well, Bill Burr. I used to be a
- 21:35Speaker 8: huge fan of Bill Burr the Monday Morning podcast, but
- 21:38Speaker 8: he's recently got over his anger issues, so he's not
- 21:41Speaker 8: as he's sort of sort of lot as childhood trauma,
- 21:44Speaker 8: so he's not as funny and angry as he used
- 21:45Speaker 8: to be anymore.
- 21:46Speaker 4: So I'm losing interest.
- 21:48Speaker 1: There because he used to listen to that on iHeartRadio. A.
- 21:51Speaker 8: Oh look, I've been listening to that podcast for over
- 21:54Speaker 8: twenty or almost twenty years, so yeah, I Heeart Radio.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Yeah. Day one, Day one, I'm a day one. Coming
- 22:02Speaker 4: At number five is The b Way c oh Wow,
- 22:07Speaker 4: formerly hosted by Jason Hoyt and now hosted by Laane
- 22:12Speaker 4: Dylan Cleaver and old mate There Forward Just about Cricket.
- 22:17Speaker 4: I Love a bit of cricket Chat. Acc podcast with
- 22:19Speaker 4: acyc podcast half an hour.
- 22:21Speaker 8: It is comes out weekly and they sort of moan
- 22:23Speaker 8: about what's going on in crickets. I love I love
- 22:25Speaker 8: listening to the moon coming in. At number four, What
- 22:28Speaker 8: a lad it's a sports podcast James Marshall. James Marshall, yep,
- 22:33Speaker 8: he's assistant coach at the Crusaders used to play for Wellington.
- 22:38Speaker 8: Ninety minute chats with a huge rugby rugby union chat
- 22:42Speaker 8: players primarily and then other sports people.
- 22:45Speaker 4: That's on iHeartRadio.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, Actually I remember listening to his Yarn
- 22:50Speaker 1: with Charlie Gubb.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Back in the day.
- 22:53Speaker 8: One of the most hilarious conversations I have ever heard.
- 22:56Speaker 8: I still remember where I was. I was in Bunnings
- 22:58Speaker 8: listening to that podcast with my headphones on, just crying laughing.
- 23:03Speaker 8: I just remember being stood in the aisle at Bunning's
- 23:06Speaker 8: just dying laughing, which is weird. I don't remember always
- 23:08Speaker 8: watching any other podcasts. Number three it's rugby league podcasts.
- 23:12Speaker 8: This Warrior is Life tied with Mad Monday. Oh wow,
- 23:16Speaker 8: because I listen. I love my rugby league, Keyzy. This
- 23:20Speaker 8: is one of yours. You do Mad Monday, but This
- 23:22Speaker 8: Warrior is Life and yours as my Warrior's content every
- 23:25Speaker 8: week when the season is on, obviously doesn't exist during
- 23:28Speaker 8: the year outside of that.
- 23:30Speaker 1: That's right, And I'd say This Warrior is life. Those
- 23:32Speaker 1: boys we've met quite a few times, lovely fellas, do
- 23:34Speaker 1: a good job, really get into the nitty gritty. Yeah,
- 23:36Speaker 1: whereas Mad Monday with myself and I a Stuart Diahin
- 23:40Speaker 1: would have been Hurley. We kind of get die as
- 23:42Speaker 1: very much in the New Ye, but we like to
- 23:45Speaker 1: kind of take the person a wee bit and be
- 23:46Speaker 1: a bit more laid back with it.
- 23:48Speaker 4: That's right.
- 23:49Speaker 8: This time you've got you know this, This Warrior is life.
- 23:52Speaker 8: It's well and Brad and Fonds. One of them is
- 23:57Speaker 8: a sports reporter, one of them is an Australia and
- 24:00Speaker 8: really knows the stuff, and the other guy is just
- 24:02Speaker 8: an absolute mongrel like me who knows nothing.
- 24:04Speaker 4: But it's nice hearing them voices opinion. It makes me
- 24:07Speaker 4: feel smart. Well, you have one of.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Those people in the room right asking the questions you're
- 24:10Speaker 1: thinking of.
- 24:10Speaker 8: You do, yeah, absolutely do. Coming in Number two is
- 24:13Speaker 8: the Agenda podcast. Oh wow, the acc again.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Every single day I listened to that.
- 24:16Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 24:17Speaker 8: I'm actually I'm actually not happy this week because they
- 24:19Speaker 8: haven't been doing one and there was no chat about
- 24:21Speaker 8: them not doing one. Actually, maybe they might have done
- 24:23Speaker 8: on today. So there's been a lot of caravan podcasts
- 24:26Speaker 8: coming out from there to fill the gap, which is bullshit,
- 24:31Speaker 8: you human, it's not on. It's a free podcast, so
- 24:33Speaker 8: I need it every single day.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Well, that's the weird thing, right with podcasts and radio
- 24:36Speaker 1: shows too, I guess is you get very used to
- 24:38Speaker 1: your routine. My habits listening to certain things, and as
- 24:41Speaker 1: soon as that's not there or things are different, For example,
- 24:44Speaker 1: Ody j is not there, it can mix up your flow.
- 24:48Speaker 8: For the fuman I get it and Cavin in number one.
- 24:51Speaker 8: I've just listened to this one. And this is different
- 24:52Speaker 8: in the sense that it's a seasonal one. It's called
- 24:55Speaker 8: Kelly Tultan's Final Treasure Hunt. Kelly Taultan obviously did Kelly
- 24:59Speaker 8: Tear's Aquarium. Very interesting thing there. He put everything on
- 25:03Speaker 8: the line, so he mortgaged his house to build that.
- 25:06Speaker 8: He was the first person in the world to come
- 25:08Speaker 8: up with that idea of having a glass tunnel with
- 25:10Speaker 8: a travelator and an underwater so that you could feel
- 25:13Speaker 8: like you were going scuba diving without going scuba diving,
- 25:15Speaker 8: so he wanted to bring that to the people. So
- 25:18Speaker 8: he knew that he would be he'd be all good
- 25:21Speaker 8: if they could have one hundred thousand visitors in their
- 25:24Speaker 8: first twelve months. They managed to knock that off in
- 25:27Speaker 8: about four months, three or four months, wow. And he
- 25:29Speaker 8: was there to shake the hand of that one hundred
- 25:32Speaker 8: thousand customer. And from that point on, and you is
- 25:35Speaker 8: going to be finding you would be able to buy
- 25:36Speaker 8: his family a new house or that sort of thing.
- 25:40Speaker 8: He was forty seven years old. He went to bed
- 25:42Speaker 8: that night and he didn't wake up. He had a
- 25:43Speaker 8: heart attack and slept that.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Oh, really good.
- 25:45Speaker 1: After the four months were done.
- 25:47Speaker 8: That day he shook the person's hand, went to bed,
- 25:49Speaker 8: didn't wake up. Prior to that, that's prior to that.
- 25:53Speaker 8: He's also he made his money from treasure hunts. He
- 25:56Speaker 8: would go out find old shipwrecks and track them, use
- 26:00Speaker 8: their logs to track where they sunk. And we get
- 26:03Speaker 8: people to pay him to go and do these diving expeditions.
- 26:07Speaker 8: Absolutely fascinating stuff. I didn't know anything about the bloke
- 26:10Speaker 8: at all. It is brilliant. Give that lit a great
- 26:13Speaker 8: New Zealander that you don't really know much about You
- 26:15Speaker 8: just think it's some overpriced aquarium, but it's so much
- 26:18Speaker 8: more than that.
- 26:18Speaker 1: One hundred percent, Yesmogi, because he used to hang out,
- 26:21Speaker 1: he used to go diving with Bob Rainbow's End Feelers.
- 26:29Speaker 1: What was the name of that podcast.
- 26:30Speaker 8: Though, Mogi, Kelly Talton's Final Treasure Hand.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Nice check it out and we listen to all those
- 26:36Speaker 1: on iHeartRadio.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Of course.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I think shar was also on that expedition. Shah, yeah,
- 26:40Speaker 1: shut up good on Pugs.
- 26:46Speaker 2: The Hurdichy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy tune
- 26:49Speaker 2: in week days and four on Radio Hodaki Collective Soul.
- 26:52Speaker 1: On the Hidarky Big Shirts Wednesday afternoon, twenty seven minutes
- 26:55Speaker 1: past five o'clock, we've got Tom Sainsbury a chat with
- 26:58Speaker 1: him coming up short the disclosure. I came in early
- 27:02Speaker 1: today to have a young to Tom Sainsbury's on tight
- 27:05Speaker 1: schedule there.
- 27:06Speaker 8: And I wanted to set it out because he's got
- 27:09Speaker 8: this new TV show does Small Scandal, and I've been
- 27:14Speaker 8: a huge advocate for that podcast. I mean, he makes
- 27:18Speaker 8: a TV show and does he cast ile.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Make in it?
- 27:21Speaker 8: Nah Ah, No he doesn't. So you can talk to him. Yeah, okay,
- 27:27Speaker 8: all right, I'll talk to him. I can ask a
- 27:29Speaker 8: question on your behalf if you want. All right, I'll
- 27:34Speaker 8: tell you what I know what you do?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Like, okay, just to cheer you up. Yeah, the day
- 27:37Speaker 1: Big Show from like three years ago. Ah, this is
- 27:40Speaker 1: the best of the big Show moment, Pugson, What have
- 27:42Speaker 1: you got for us?
- 27:43Speaker 4: Feeler?
- 27:44Speaker 6: This feel feels This is about some marital issues you have.
- 27:48Speaker 4: NonStop.
- 27:50Speaker 6: That person on the text machine is going to be
- 27:51Speaker 6: stoked that we chucked into my wife.
- 27:54Speaker 1: But this next bit is basically you.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Having a really rough sleep and your wife really not
- 27:57Speaker 6: respecting your wishes.
- 27:59Speaker 5: What terrible you were saying? Oh hear, how absolutely filthy
- 28:04Speaker 5: you were with your fiance this morning? Wow, how like
- 28:09Speaker 5: you were so filthy you were almost close to calling
- 28:12Speaker 5: off the engagement.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I mean what I did was just a small anecdote
- 28:16Speaker 1: about our sleeping situation.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Oh no, really, I've never seen you seething like that before. Well,
- 28:24Speaker 5: I feel out through the glass against the wall there
- 28:29Speaker 5: and just shattered the glass. People were looking in from
- 28:33Speaker 5: the angry You were shouting so loud that people in
- 28:36Speaker 5: the office were looking out and seeing what the hell
- 28:38Speaker 5: was going on because they could sound glass.
- 28:41Speaker 8: Yeah, I was scarpering, was like Godzilla was coming to
- 28:45Speaker 8: town or something like that. I've never seen that side
- 28:48Speaker 8: of you, key, and I've got to say I don't
- 28:49Speaker 8: like it.
- 28:50Speaker 5: No, right, I didn't feel safe safe?
- 28:53Speaker 1: Yeah, well, how about I'll tell the story and then
- 28:55Speaker 1: people could make up their mind.
- 28:56Speaker 4: As to how angry I was. No, I think that's enough.
- 29:01Speaker 1: So I had a bad sleep last night, right, which
- 29:04Speaker 1: you guys can relate to you guys always have bad.
- 29:06Speaker 4: Sleeps, an absolute rock.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, basically terrible sleep. Couldn't go to sleep, saying
- 29:13Speaker 1: like two am, I just messaged my fiance's phone. She'll
- 29:16Speaker 1: read it in the morning, just saying hey, in the morning,
- 29:18Speaker 1: let me sleep in a bit.
- 29:19Speaker 5: Because sorry, say that again. You message your partner at
- 29:23Speaker 5: two am in the morning because.
- 29:25Speaker 4: You out of this next to him. So I lie
- 29:31Speaker 4: next to us. I missed it. You I know she'll
- 29:32Speaker 4: read it in the morning.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Morning. Hey, don't wake me up in the morning. I'm
- 29:36Speaker 1: going to try and sleep in for an extra half hour.
- 29:40Speaker 5: So just hold it there, Hold it there for a second, keezy,
- 29:44Speaker 5: why easy couldn't sleep and at two am in the morning, goes,
- 29:50Speaker 5: I'm going to message my partner to tell her that
- 29:53Speaker 5: I'm not sleeping very well and not to wake me
- 29:56Speaker 5: in the morning. So there he goes, I don't of
- 30:00Speaker 5: the dial tones, don't changs the text next to his
- 30:04Speaker 5: lovely fiance's head. No, not stir blary bluary eyed, going
- 30:13Speaker 5: oh god, it's.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Caezy, she says.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Right next to her, she calls me CAZy as well.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I missed it right, and then it's like okay, and
- 30:23Speaker 1: then so I finally get off to sleep. She wakes
- 30:26Speaker 1: up in the morning, reads the text obviously and goes, oh,
- 30:28Speaker 1: fair enough. So she doesn't open the curtains like she
- 30:30Speaker 1: usually word blah blah blah. She sneaks out and just
- 30:32Speaker 1: for she's about to go to work.
- 30:33Speaker 4: So what you said that? You could hear her tip
- 30:35Speaker 4: cone across the room and she was sobbing because she
- 30:37Speaker 4: was so scared about waking you up. I didn't.
- 30:40Speaker 1: So she tiptoes out of the room and just she
- 30:42Speaker 1: gets through the four it just about she's about to leave,
- 30:45Speaker 1: stops back in the bedroom, opens the door in a
- 30:47Speaker 1: very loud manner, and then.
- 30:50Speaker 4: Loudly open the door.
- 30:51Speaker 5: She managed it, my teenagers, She just shocked.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I don't know how you do it and then opens
- 30:56Speaker 1: the door, comes over, stop, stop, stop, A little.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Kiss on the cheek and good day. I love you.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Stomp stomps on.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Back out of the room, slams the door again. So
- 31:05Speaker 1: it was a lovely gesture. But I specifically asked not
- 31:07Speaker 1: to be woken up. Yeah, she stomps in, wakes me up,
- 31:11Speaker 1: tells me she loves me. What's that about?
- 31:14Speaker 4: Yeah, well I know what i'd do. What i'd call it? Man,
- 31:19Speaker 4: it's all over?
- 31:19Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 31:20Speaker 4: Yeah, now you cannot have that? Well can you have
- 31:22Speaker 4: specifically told her you do not want to be waken up?
- 31:25Speaker 4: What does she do? She wakes you up to do?
- 31:27Speaker 2: What?
- 31:28Speaker 8: Tell you she loves you? I mean, that is worthless garbage.
- 31:33Speaker 5: And I was going to say you didn't actually finish
- 31:35Speaker 5: the story that you were telling us.
- 31:37Speaker 4: I did not.
- 31:37Speaker 5: I feel like I did because you said, oh, well,
- 31:40Speaker 5: porn Hubbard is then.
- 31:46Speaker 1: What a terrible, terrible radio show that is?
- 31:49Speaker 4: What's that l show? Gold Man?
- 31:51Speaker 1: That doesn't other people want?
- 31:52Speaker 7: God?
- 31:53Speaker 1: It's it's weird to think that every show we've ever
- 31:55Speaker 1: done is available to listen back to.
- 31:57Speaker 4: You can literally go back to our first radio Yeah.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Ll we'ver get your potties from radio.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Every single one we've ever done is there, which is
- 32:05Speaker 1: a scary thought. Now Hey, coming up next though, Tom
- 32:08Speaker 1: Sainsbury chatting about his new TV show, Small Town Scandal.
- 32:13Speaker 2: The Hururarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hurdarchy.
- 32:17Speaker 1: It is The Hurdarchy Big Show Wednesday afternoon with Kezy
- 32:20Speaker 1: Moggi and pugsarn and also Feelers joining us in the
- 32:22Speaker 1: studio a very special guest, beloved New Zealand comedian Tom Sainsbury.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Welcome, Hello, Hello, hello, and hello listen.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Do you feel beloved in New Zealand?
- 32:31Speaker 8: Tom?
- 32:32Speaker 3: That's such a good word, the beloved one. I do,
- 32:34Speaker 3: actually know.
- 32:35Speaker 7: I do.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Whether I'm deserving it of it or not, you know,
- 32:38Speaker 3: that's another question, but I do.
- 32:40Speaker 4: I'm sensing imposters and drome. Tom. How long have you
- 32:42Speaker 4: been feeling like this?
- 32:43Speaker 3: Probably my you know? Do we want to get into
- 32:46Speaker 3: it so, you know, last six years old?
- 32:50Speaker 1: Maybe if we had a longer interview, Tom, I do
- 32:52Speaker 1: understand that you're in here because your Small Town Scandal
- 32:55Speaker 1: podcast has been turned into a TV show and if
- 32:58Speaker 1: I'm right in saying the podcast actually won some awards
- 33:01Speaker 1: and did quite well last year, was.
- 33:03Speaker 3: It it was last year. Yeah, so one podcast of
- 33:05Speaker 3: the Year and comedy podcast, So I believe was that crazy?
- 33:10Speaker 4: What are you?
- 33:11Speaker 3: It was crazy? It was crazy.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Also I wasn't here for it. I wasn't here to
- 33:16Speaker 3: receive the award. So the whole thing was just this
- 33:18Speaker 3: abstract kind of vibe, right that my producer had to
- 33:21Speaker 3: kind of collect it. But yeah, it's incredible.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Because have you I'm not familiar with your podcast background.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Was that your first kind of full blown podcast that
- 33:29Speaker 1: you've been a part of.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Yes, it was my very first one. So I've done
- 33:32Speaker 3: so many guests on interview ones. And the producer of
- 33:35Speaker 3: the Wonderful Sam Collins, was like, pitch me your podcast ideas.
- 33:39Speaker 3: He thought I was going to do like either a
- 33:41Speaker 3: comedy one or like a chatty one. And I was like, right,
- 33:44Speaker 3: I've got this idea. I can't even remember that Tom,
- 33:47Speaker 3: that Tom of yesteryear pitching this idea where I was
- 33:49Speaker 3: going to do a parody podcast, true crime podcast where
- 33:52Speaker 3: I'm playing awfully characters. That was a different person, right, Okay,
- 33:56Speaker 3: but I pitched it and he said let's do it,
- 33:58Speaker 3: and then it happened.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Yeah, Because and how does it feel like obviously Pugs
- 34:02Speaker 1: and I and Muggie as well. We work our asses
- 34:04Speaker 1: off in radio and slogwa with the podcast. We haven't
- 34:07Speaker 1: really got many awards, and then you've sort of just
- 34:09Speaker 1: come and well half wal Waltston. You did Waltz until
- 34:13Speaker 1: I saw it. I do more of a fox trot.
- 34:14Speaker 6: Actually, I didn't even accept the awards.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Didn't accept the award.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Doesn't care it.
- 34:18Speaker 3: I did a grape vine in right, Okay, accepted the award.
- 34:22Speaker 3: How do I feel about that? Look, my imposters. You
- 34:26Speaker 3: know I'm suffering from imposter syndrome, so that's kind of
- 34:29Speaker 3: taken over. So I don't think I'm smugging anyway.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Right, Okay, I can't imagine you're being smug.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Actually, whenever I get smug, it happens. Occasionally something comes
- 34:40Speaker 3: along the universe. Just throw something at me.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Yeah right, okay, boom. But your podcast has now been
- 34:46Speaker 1: turned into a TV show thanks to Sky Originals The
- 34:49Speaker 1: Zealand on air as well. Is it the same story
- 34:52Speaker 1: of the podcast or have you tweaked it?
- 34:54Speaker 3: It's been tweaked by necessity and also has been tweaked,
- 34:58Speaker 3: so it's a little bit more surprising for everyone that's
- 35:00Speaker 3: listening to don't you don't work at all?
- 35:02Speaker 4: You don't know it?
- 35:03Speaker 3: All the highlights are from and then too, And we've
- 35:06Speaker 3: got a whole new cast as well.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah right, okay, because and did you stick with the
- 35:09Speaker 1: forty characters? Because that is a lot of characters to
- 35:12Speaker 1: do voices of, But it's even harder to act and
- 35:15Speaker 1: remember how their mannerisms and all that stuff.
- 35:17Speaker 3: So I'm not so We've got a cast of other people,
- 35:19Speaker 3: So I'm just playing the lead in the TV show.
- 35:22Speaker 3: We talked about it, but it was just be a
- 35:24Speaker 3: logistical noteman of having the whole whole crew sitting around
- 35:27Speaker 3: while I get my prosthetics and I work on Yeah exactly,
- 35:30Speaker 3: Let's just get someone else to play those roles.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Right, That's probably a good idea because I was picturing
- 35:34Speaker 1: you trying to have to play forty different characters. The
- 35:40Speaker 1: Natti Professor, you know, I mean, and Eddie Murphy. He's
- 35:43Speaker 1: obviously the goat of playing different characters, but he only
- 35:45Speaker 1: plays a maximum of six, you.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Know, he does, but he does do dinner, he does
- 35:49Speaker 3: do dinner scenes.
- 35:50Speaker 1: But everyone, yeah exactly, which is just cutting edge film.
- 35:54Speaker 1: We'll be back with more. Tom Sainsbury after some Guns.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Roses The Darchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Guns Roses on The Darkey Big Show. It is Wednesday afternoon,
- 36:10Speaker 1: the seventeenth of December twenty twenty five, and earlier today
- 36:14Speaker 1: I came in a little early to have a chat
- 36:16Speaker 1: with beloved comedian Tom Sainsbury, who's got his podcast which
- 36:20Speaker 1: is a small Town Scandal and it has been turned
- 36:22Speaker 1: into a TV show. We now continue that fantastic chat
- 36:26Speaker 1: right now, Tom Sainsbury. What's next for Tom Sainsbury?
- 36:31Speaker 3: Next? So twenty three? Good question? Next year twenty three?
- 36:34Speaker 3: Sex is all about me and a microphone all over
- 36:36Speaker 3: Australia and New Zealand and the UK.
- 36:39Speaker 4: So lots of live touring right UK as well?
- 36:42Speaker 1: Is that the you've been to the UK before and
- 36:44Speaker 1: done that?
- 36:44Speaker 3: I've never been. I've been to the UK, but I've
- 36:46Speaker 3: never performed there.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Wow, how does that feel? Because certainly for me personally,
- 36:51Speaker 1: the UK and comedy is like the mecca of comedy?
- 36:53Speaker 4: Is that the same for you?
- 36:55Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 36:55Speaker 1: You got a terrified look.
- 36:58Speaker 3: We're keeping out so I've got someone to taking care
- 37:00Speaker 3: of it, but we're keeping you know. It's you know,
- 37:02Speaker 3: ninety seat one hundred and twenty seat venues, so it
- 37:06Speaker 3: will keep it. But also when you've got an online presence,
- 37:10Speaker 3: you can work out how many people are kind of
- 37:12Speaker 3: watching weird people live and then you take all the
- 37:14Speaker 3: information you sell it to a big pharmaceutical companies. You
- 37:17Speaker 3: make a whole bit of money over there.
- 37:19Speaker 1: So you make most of your money and sort of
- 37:20Speaker 1: selling people's data.
- 37:23Speaker 3: But you can work out who lives in the UK
- 37:25Speaker 3: and you can kind of target.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Then you're right, and so do you have quite a
- 37:29Speaker 1: UK following them? Because I've seen the breakdown of my
- 37:31Speaker 1: videos of like oh thirty people watched, twelve of them
- 37:33Speaker 1: were in Australia.
- 37:34Speaker 3: You know, so you can, but you don't know, like
- 37:37Speaker 3: I imagine that three caurism and the just expect kiwis.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Yeah right, okay, so you'd be leading into the expact
- 37:43Speaker 1: community a wee bit, I think so, yeah, right, Tom
- 37:46Speaker 1: Sainsbury Mike Minogue, you worked with him in the past
- 37:49Speaker 1: on Wellington Paranormal. He can't be with us presently, but
- 37:52Speaker 1: he did write me a question to ask you. Yes, Tom,
- 37:56Speaker 1: when it comes to the podcast, did you find it
- 37:59Speaker 1: easier to play forty different characters because you're so two
- 38:01Speaker 1: faced in real life.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I want to say, yeah, yeah, good physical good question.
- 38:13Speaker 3: He knows me, man, he knows me, he knows me
- 38:16Speaker 3: so well. And the answer is sadly yes, yes.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Are you going to do it another season of the podcast?
- 38:21Speaker 1: Like looking back at how much work it was to
- 38:23Speaker 1: do all the voices and.
- 38:24Speaker 3: Stuff, it's I am definitely gunning. There's an idea. I'm
- 38:27Speaker 3: a really good idea of course for the fourth season.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Yeah right yeah, so hopefully.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Yeah right, okay, and it is it like obviously because
- 38:35Speaker 1: I know you've had you know, you've had different people
- 38:37Speaker 1: working on Adam Pormatter who works for the ACC for
- 38:40Speaker 1: a while he's now left. You know, it was quite
- 38:42Speaker 1: an editing juggle, like in terms of production.
- 38:46Speaker 3: So they so I just come in and record the
- 38:49Speaker 3: voices and then the record you know, the sound engineer
- 38:52Speaker 3: has to kind of take everycent because because I just
- 38:54Speaker 3: do a character at a time, so they have to
- 38:56Speaker 3: kind of cut out he really little bit of dialogue
- 38:58Speaker 3: and put it together and put all this bells and
- 39:00Speaker 3: whistles on it. So it's massive Adam genius.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he did a bloody good job there. Once again.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Tom Sainsbury's new show Small Town Scandal. It's officially debuting
- 39:09Speaker 1: on TV TV screens across New Zealand thanks to Sky
- 39:13Speaker 1: New Zealand Originals. It's going a premiere on Neon Sky
- 39:16Speaker 1: Comedy on Monday, the ninth of February at eight thirty pm.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Anything else you'd like to say before people watch it?
- 39:22Speaker 4: There?
- 39:22Speaker 3: Tom, You can also listen to the three seasons of
- 39:24Speaker 3: the podcast on iHeartRadio Boom.
- 39:26Speaker 1: That's how you do it, Tom Sainsbury, thank you so
- 39:28Speaker 1: much for joining us on The Hudcky Big Show.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Thank you for having me.

- 39:36Speaker 2: in weekdays at four on Radio Hdarchy.
- 39:39Speaker 1: That's right, it is the Hudarcky Big Show for Wednesday,
- 39:41Speaker 1: December seventeenth, twenty twenty five.
- 39:43Speaker 4: It's almost Christmas.
- 39:45Speaker 6: What bells?
- 39:48Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 39:48Speaker 1: Good stuff?
- 39:49Speaker 7: Hey.
- 39:49Speaker 1: The Big Show is brought to you by rebig Year.
- 39:52Speaker 6: Grave Earthy Street Food freishly made with rebig Year.
- 39:57Speaker 10: It's to sorry, I really need help. I just I
- 40:03Speaker 10: just I think it's really important that everyone knows just
- 40:06Speaker 10: how delicious Reburger is. Because obviously there's stop pangrafted and
- 40:12Speaker 10: I release load of fries and my hate I just
- 40:15Speaker 10: know that people know and they're changing the game because
- 40:18Speaker 10: it's sorry.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I mean we've touched on it before, Mergie, but that
- 40:23Speaker 1: is a waste of police time and resources. Yeah, calling
- 40:25Speaker 1: them to tell them about Rebigger.
- 40:27Speaker 4: But I get it.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I disagree.
- 40:29Speaker 4: You think that's all g one hundred percent?
- 40:31Speaker 1: Man? Are you kidding me?
- 40:33Speaker 6: Re Bigger Man, it's crave with his street food. And
- 40:36Speaker 6: I think of all people that should be trying to
- 40:38Speaker 6: get it outa you two.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Who's mentally unhinged, the pog. So could I put it
- 40:42Speaker 4: to you the.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Rebigger call me nuts? Okay, nuts ches, nuts pugs, I
- 40:50Speaker 1: mean Mogi and pugs.

- 41:01Speaker 8: I give myself over this break?
- 41:02Speaker 1: Oh right?
- 41:03Speaker 4: Yeah? No drinking, no darts, no Reburger.
- 41:07Speaker 9: Right what about I'll be working on my laptop that
- 41:11Speaker 9: brings some joints.
- 41:14Speaker 4: That's too joyful?
- 41:15Speaker 5: Ah?
- 41:16Speaker 8: Yeah, so you're looking forward to it, You guys are
- 41:18Speaker 8: going to be ripping.
- 41:19Speaker 4: It to the Reburger.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Well, as you guys know already, every year on Christmas Day,
- 41:24Speaker 1: my family sits down and indulges in a sort of
- 41:27Speaker 1: last Supper style set.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Up of Reburger. Yes.
- 41:30Speaker 1: We spread it all out on the table there and
- 41:32Speaker 1: we sort of sit it all in a line and
- 41:35Speaker 1: just eat Reburger, Yes, and just discuss the fact that
- 41:38Speaker 1: it is crave worthy street food and it's freshly made.
- 41:41Speaker 4: So we've been doing that for about ten years now. Wow.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Ten years. Yeah, I hard to believe.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, which is crazy because rebeg has only been
- 41:49Speaker 1: around for like three right, guys, This queen's the Stone Age.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yeah man, they love Reburger the.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Whole Key Big Show weekdays from four on Radio powder.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Finger on the hod Hockey Big Show Wednesday evening with

- 42:04Speaker 1: time for Moggi's Top Five. Today's Top five is the
- 42:12Speaker 1: top five podcasts we listened to in twenty twenty five.
- 42:15Speaker 1: We've already had Moggi's. If you want to hear it,
- 42:16Speaker 1: listen to the Big Show podcast, which comes out at
- 42:18Speaker 1: seventh thirty tonight Sime for Pugsunt and myself. I'll go first,
- 42:22Speaker 1: pug Son. Okay, the number five podcast I listened to
- 42:26Speaker 1: to this year Bloken a bar. Oh yeah, it's four
- 42:29Speaker 1: hours of rugby league chat host ever at the end
- 42:32Speaker 1: of every week. Yep, Deanan Camp over there and AUSSI
- 42:35Speaker 1: a whole lot of good analysts and stuff, just fellers
- 42:38Speaker 1: like us rugby league tragics, and you can always find
- 42:41Speaker 1: the game you want to hear about. They timestamp them
- 42:43Speaker 1: and you can just listen to twenty minutes to chat
- 42:45Speaker 1: on that.
- 42:45Speaker 4: It's really good. I like that one as well.
- 42:47Speaker 8: Kezy, thanks man, I was listening to it yesterday. Din
- 42:49Speaker 8: and Kemp knows nothing about cricket. He admits he knows
- 42:52Speaker 8: nothing about cricket. You should hear him Babylon about cricket,
- 42:55Speaker 8: like he knows something really really shocking.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Mass just let's just talk about rugby league.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Following very funny.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Next up a number four Mad Monday. Yeah sack acc
- 43:06Speaker 1: podcast that I work for self Saucer, Self Saucer didn't,
- 43:10Speaker 1: don't actually.
- 43:11Speaker 4: Absolutely cover it in your own source, actually.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Listen to it. I just thought this was a nice
- 43:15Speaker 1: opportunity to plug some of the podcasts. I'm available because
- 43:17Speaker 1: I don't listen to any podcasts other than blocking a Bar. Yes, yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 1: and my number one, Yes, don't the only podcast. Yeah?
- 43:27Speaker 4: Next up, Hucky Big Show.
- 43:29Speaker 7: What is that?
- 43:30Speaker 1: Number three? Number three? Hucky Big Show?
- 43:32Speaker 5: Love it?
- 43:33Speaker 4: I don't know. I actually do listen to it on occasion,
- 43:36Speaker 4: just Outroy Bits.
- 43:37Speaker 8: Yeah I can't because I can't generally remember what we
- 43:39Speaker 8: talked ab Yeah right, sound a good look. I'm a
- 43:43Speaker 8: huge fan, very very good. Wait till you meet I
- 43:45Speaker 8: mean I've got notes.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Coming in at number two, Extremely Casual Gamers, which is
- 43:54Speaker 1: literally a video game podcast that I host. That one
- 43:56Speaker 1: New Zealand Best Entertainment Podcast award recently.
- 44:00Speaker 4: As the New Zealand Podcast Awards, which is it's pretty amazing.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I listened to that on iHeart Radio.
- 44:04Speaker 4: So good. Do you actually listen to it?
- 44:06Speaker 7: No?
- 44:06Speaker 4: I don't get good.
- 44:07Speaker 1: No, sometimes I do if I have to sort of
- 44:09Speaker 1: catch up on what we talked about last year. But
- 44:11Speaker 1: check it out. I feel like video games my number
- 44:13Speaker 1: one podcast. I listened to this, Yeah, I listened to
- 44:15Speaker 1: it on iHeart Radio. It's just the Hamers and Andy podcast.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, okay from over in Australia. They just radio
- 44:22Speaker 1: icons that I've listened to for years and years and
- 44:24Speaker 1: years out one of the reasons I got into radio, Yes,
- 44:26Speaker 1: and I like a lot of their philosophies and radio,
- 44:28Speaker 1: and they just do a really entertaining weekly podcast.
- 44:31Speaker 6: They're an institution at this point. Those two love them
- 44:34Speaker 6: to bits. Nice man, your point. Here we go bang
- 44:38Speaker 6: out the Gate. Number five extremely casual gamers. Really with
- 44:41Speaker 6: old Kezy. I don't listen to any podcasts. I love
- 44:46Speaker 6: this one and I listened to it on iHeart Radio.
- 44:48Speaker 6: I've been on it a couple of times. I've been
- 44:49Speaker 6: lucky enough to join the Fellers and fell it there
- 44:52Speaker 6: and yeah, really love it. Love gaming, love the chat
- 44:54Speaker 6: and also your guys dynamic. It's great.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 44:56Speaker 6: Number four Hoicky Big Show. I produced that podcast Wow
- 45:00Speaker 6: and You on iHeart Radio. I listened to it back
- 45:03Speaker 6: sometimes if we've had a really funny chat that day. Also,
- 45:06Speaker 6: just like to check in sometimes on how it's sounding.
- 45:08Speaker 6: The consistent I work really hard on the consistency and stuff,
- 45:11Speaker 6: so it's nice to check in with it.
- 45:12Speaker 1: You're a perficion try to try to since you've come aboard.
- 45:17Speaker 1: The perfection of our podcast is next level. Everything sounds great.
- 45:21Speaker 1: It content's a bit off, but the way it's all
- 45:23Speaker 1: put together is excellent.
- 45:24Speaker 6: Thank you hitting into number three now the Arinz.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Morning Report really wow.
- 45:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I love you know, getting my news from a
- 45:35Speaker 6: trusted source such as that, and they do really good,
- 45:37Speaker 6: bite sized catch up podcasts, and they also do an
- 45:39Speaker 6: Essentials Report, which is just like everything. I listened to
- 45:42Speaker 6: that on our radio obviously, but it's just a good
- 45:44Speaker 6: way for me to keep in touch with the world
- 45:47Speaker 6: with some what I mean, they might not be your
- 45:49Speaker 6: trusted news source, but.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Any other radio station, competing radio station podcast you want
- 45:55Speaker 1: to plug.

- 46:02Speaker 1: They're the guys that did that Fellowship of the Ring podcast.
- 46:04Speaker 6: It's just basically five massive movie nerds, just a bunch
- 46:08Speaker 6: of mates, and they all sound really really British, and
- 46:10Speaker 6: they all sound like they've been friends for a billion years,
- 46:12Speaker 6: and they sound like they've gone from a bar talking
- 46:15Speaker 6: about films and like found a podcast studio and they
- 46:17Speaker 6: just do they research the ship out of every movie.
- 46:20Speaker 6: They do that an hour to two and a half hours.
- 46:22Speaker 6: And I've learned a lot about movies and filmmaking from
- 46:25Speaker 6: that po Right Movies Listen, Yeah, you get that.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Man, what's that all the right? Do you guys want

- 46:39Speaker 6: You guys might know it's Brook and Connor Maker podcast.
- 46:41Speaker 6: I've just been listening to them for years now. The
- 46:43Speaker 6: teammates that just started, they had a good dynamic, and
- 46:46Speaker 6: some other podcast guys put them together in a studio
- 46:48Speaker 6: and now they're just it's like listening to till of
- 46:50Speaker 6: your mates. Contagious laughter is my favorite thing about listening.
- 46:53Speaker 6: If you can make me laugh with your laughter, I'll
- 46:55Speaker 6: get around here, la based Yeah, yeah.
- 47:00Speaker 4: Ready to go.

- 47:41Speaker 4: Nineties?
- 47:42Speaker 1: And were you around when they started up.
- 47:44Speaker 8: I don't know if I was around when they start up,
- 47:45Speaker 8: but when this seminal album came out, which was that one,
- 47:48Speaker 8: I was definitely around, which we want to have been
- 47:50Speaker 8: ninety three to ninety four, but after that.
- 47:53Speaker 1: Now you listen to them again, this seminary opinion, this

- 48:04Speaker 6: to that band name coming into the world, you know
- 48:06Speaker 6: what I mean.
- 48:08Speaker 8: I don't know if I was around for when it fit.
- 48:10Speaker 8: I mean obviously everyone thought it was pretty funny. They

- 48:34Speaker 1: Man bugs bugyo me guys.
- 48:36Speaker 6: I'm keeping in the spirit of the time of year here,
- 48:39Speaker 6: the first of season, and this is Hooty jizz bought yeah,
- 48:42Speaker 6: because we.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Miss them so much. To get a bit of just
- 48:45Speaker 1: a little bit of the jizz.
- 48:46Speaker 6: And he still say rush please. He wrote a Christmas palm.
- 48:50Speaker 5: As I was saying, I was as sick as a
- 48:52Speaker 5: dog last night, pounding headache, sore throat, feverish, numb from
- 48:57Speaker 5: the waist down, chat pan at my pants, dribbling all
- 49:02Speaker 5: over the place. And often when I get into that
- 49:05Speaker 5: state monogia, I find it a very creative state to
- 49:09Speaker 5: actually be in, and it brings out the best in
- 49:12Speaker 5: me somewhere because it's like I'm in so much pain and.
- 49:16Speaker 2: You know, I keeping show with four on radio just interrupted.
- 49:24Speaker 8: It's a heightened state. You're closer to the you're closer
- 49:28Speaker 8: to the artistic plane.
- 49:29Speaker 5: Yes, it's a delirium.
- 49:33Speaker 4: You know what I mean.
- 49:35Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like when I wrote that Poe that poem
- 49:38Speaker 5: in Koobla Khan, one of the famous poems. But I'd
- 49:42Speaker 5: like to share that with you, if I, If I might,
- 49:46Speaker 5: the poem that I wrote last night.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Are you listening?
- 49:50Speaker 5: He's tuned out. Last Christmas, I gave you my heart Christmas,
- 49:58Speaker 5: the very next day you gave it away. This year,
- 50:02Speaker 5: to save me from tears, I'll give it to someone special.
- 50:07Speaker 5: Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very
- 50:09Speaker 5: next day you gave it away.
- 50:11Speaker 4: You've already read this one.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Oh that? Oh yeah, god, I see. Well that's the
- 50:18Speaker 5: first verse. Once bitten and twice shy. I keep my distance,
- 50:24Speaker 5: but you still catch my eye. Tell me, baby, do
- 50:28Speaker 5: you recognize me? Well, it's been a year. It doesn't
- 50:33Speaker 5: surprise me. Happy Christmas. I wrapped it up, and can
- 50:37Speaker 5: you guys shut up when I'm doing this? Happy Chris?
- 50:42Speaker 5: Can we stop please? Or I'll start again?
- 50:48Speaker 4: Can you start again?
- 50:49Speaker 5: Happy Christmas? I wrapped it up and sent it with
- 50:52Speaker 5: a note saying I love you. I meant it now.
- 50:56Speaker 5: I know what a fool I've been. But if you've
- 50:59Speaker 5: kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again. Oh
- 51:08Speaker 5: oh oh baby. A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
- 51:15Speaker 5: I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice. My god,
- 51:20Speaker 5: I thought you were someone to rely on me. I
- 51:24Speaker 5: guess I was your shoulder to cry on. Yeah, a
- 51:29Speaker 5: face on, a lover with a fire in his heart,
- 51:32Speaker 5: a man under cover. But you tore me apart. Oh
- 51:36Speaker 5: oh no, I found real love. You'll never fool me again.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Oh man, wait, oh oh oh baby.
- 51:50Speaker 8: Man, that was really good. That's sort of about. That's
- 51:53Speaker 8: sort of about. It's almost a tragedy, isn't it. A
- 51:56Speaker 8: love tragedy? Been in love and then a full in
- 52:00Speaker 8: a part and then you get sort of better and
- 52:02Speaker 8: twisted and horrible, and then you're sort of a real
- 52:04Speaker 8: bastard to them.
- 52:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:06Speaker 5: I think there was like a revenge passion there as well.
- 52:08Speaker 4: Yeah, hot and then hot. Yeah what I mean you think?
- 52:12Speaker 1: I mean you wrote the poem?
- 52:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:14Speaker 5: Wow. Sometimes it's it's hard to decipher exactly what the
- 52:18Speaker 5: lines mean keys.
- 52:19Speaker 1: But you wrote them.
- 52:20Speaker 5: Yeah, but I mean they come from a poetic place.
- 52:23Speaker 4: That's right. You're you're really just a lightning rod. It
- 52:27Speaker 4: just passes through you.
- 52:28Speaker 5: I'm a conjurit will you thank you?
- 52:30Speaker 4: Because there's a bit in there about people were in
- 52:32Speaker 4: tight eyes yeah, yeah, I like that.
- 52:34Speaker 5: Yeah, thanks man.
- 52:35Speaker 4: How'd you come up with that?

- 54:34Speaker 6: your travel. So I was like, you know what I'll do,
- 54:36Speaker 6: I'll go to my old bake Kez.
- 54:38Speaker 8: There was a lot of advice coming from Kezy to
- 54:41Speaker 8: the point where I actually thought Keezy had been to Vietnam.
- 54:44Speaker 4: That's right.
- 54:44Speaker 8: So I said when did you go? And he said,
- 54:46Speaker 8: I've never been. Yes, but I've done a lot of research,
- 54:49Speaker 8: and in fact you had because you knew the names
- 54:51Speaker 8: of loops and ship from walks.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Yeah. Because I ended up going to Cambodia after doing
- 54:55Speaker 1: research because of the difference in temperature at a certain
- 54:58Speaker 1: time of year, I wanted to go. It was to
- 55:00Speaker 1: be cold, right, I planned a whole trip and then
- 55:02Speaker 1: my wife was like, nah.
- 55:03Speaker 4: Too cold, too cold. So then I get behind that.
