Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, Welcome to Tea Time with Amy and Bevre.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yeah, we are.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Back episode number two.
- 0:10Speaker 3: So you mentioned perspectives last time and how we look
- 0:13Speaker 3: at things and you know, kind of in that route
- 0:16Speaker 3: in our last video and something that I don't know
- 0:18Speaker 3: if I've mentioned this before, but something that's changed for me.
- 0:20Speaker 3: And of course my office is closing August thirty first,
- 0:24Speaker 3: but something has changed for me as like.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I'm not going to work anymore. I'm going to see
- 0:28Speaker 2: my friends. And so before I.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Would always say I'm going to work. Well, when you
- 0:32Speaker 3: say that, how does that feel.
- 0:41Speaker 1: For me?
- 0:41Speaker 2: I recognize that I was.
- 0:44Speaker 3: It worked to me felt like I'm going to work,
- 0:49Speaker 3: and it's like, how would my client feel, Oh, I'm
- 0:52Speaker 3: going to work. Kyle Seas was talking about his daughter Vivi,
- 0:56Speaker 3: and he was talking about like what if we talked
- 0:58Speaker 3: about our grandkids or our kids, like like like it
- 1:01Speaker 3: was our job. Oh, I'm gonna go, I'm going to work,
- 1:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna go see I gotta go take care of
- 1:07Speaker 3: some things like how would that feel to together person,
- 1:10Speaker 3: even to my clients? And it's recognizing that that's not
- 1:15Speaker 3: even true. It's it was a perspective thing. Change your perspective.
- 1:19Speaker 3: How do you shift it? Well, you're gonna that's an
- 1:21Speaker 3: inside job. We can give you guys all kinds of pointers,
- 1:23Speaker 3: but really a lot of this stuff. It was a
- 1:26Speaker 3: perspective shift for me just to be like, I'm going
- 1:28Speaker 3: to see my friends, because every single person that comes
- 1:30Speaker 3: into my office door, we have great conversations or we
- 1:34Speaker 3: have a great interaction or maybe something you know, there's
- 1:37Speaker 3: always there's always an ebb and flow.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Maybe that the person's extra quiet because.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I needed that quiet because I because I'm doing something
- 1:44Speaker 3: and it puts me more into a meditative space when
- 1:47Speaker 3: it's silent, but also being open like that. And then
- 1:51Speaker 3: the more that I'm just being myself, the more information
- 1:54Speaker 3: is flowing in to do different things. We Like I said,
- 1:56Speaker 3: I'm closing my doors on August thirty first, and.
- 1:59Speaker 2: I've got these different things that are coming through.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Like I saw a person just recently and and I
- 2:03Speaker 3: was guided to do different things to this person.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I was not trained and massage like all these things.
- 2:08Speaker 3: And she's like, she says, I really see you being
- 2:10Speaker 3: able to teach others how to teach these things because
- 2:14Speaker 3: you've done things that no one else has done. For
- 2:17Speaker 3: that person, you know, just different ways of working things.
- 2:19Speaker 3: And it's and it's like I told her, the more
- 2:21Speaker 3: that we tune into each other, we're going to present
- 2:23Speaker 3: things differently. Anyways, things are going to be different because
- 2:26Speaker 3: it's what that person needs or what we need in
- 2:28Speaker 3: that moment, because we're.
- 2:30Speaker 2: There for that ebb and flow.
- 2:31Speaker 3: There's there's that just the balance and harmony that flows
- 2:35Speaker 3: together the whole time. One more we're or can flow
- 2:38Speaker 3: the whole time over together. Even if you're angry, there's
- 2:40Speaker 3: still something that's transpiring from the situation. But really noticing
- 2:45Speaker 3: our perspectives on things and then asking ourselves if we
- 2:49Speaker 3: have a feeling that's bad about something, asking within ourselves,
- 2:53Speaker 3: how can we perceive this differently.
- 2:55Speaker 2: That would make me feel good about doing it?
- 2:58Speaker 3: As long as this, you know, it's intemporal, and that's
- 3:02Speaker 3: something that's warking other people.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yep, I've been I've been having recently. I go through
- 3:08Speaker 1: these phases. And I came through the phase again of
- 3:12Speaker 1: questioning where I'm at with my life, where I'm working,
- 3:18Speaker 1: Why am why am I not more fully into my
- 3:22Speaker 1: coaching like all the things I've just been sitting and
- 3:26Speaker 1: swirling in that and the frustration and the irritation not
- 3:33Speaker 1: with life, but with myself has come up. And so
- 3:40Speaker 1: I'm in a Mastermind group and so I asked my
- 3:44Speaker 1: mentor coach. You know, I'm not asked her, but I'm
- 3:49Speaker 1: telling her this is the way I'm feeling. And and
- 3:52Speaker 1: she's like, well, I said, And don't get me wrong,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I really enjoyed my job. I did. I like it.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It's like interesting, it's so much variety. There's so many people,
- 4:07Speaker 1: you know, I get to be around that I wouldn't
- 4:10Speaker 1: have been around if I would have not taken this job.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And and so, and then there's some good things that
- 4:16Speaker 1: are coming up with the organization that I work for
- 4:20Speaker 1: that's going to be beneficial for our community. And that's
- 4:26Speaker 1: She's like, okay, So you're meeting a lot of people, right,
- 4:30Speaker 1: And I said yeah. She's like, okay, So give yourself
- 4:36Speaker 1: a deadline maybe next July. Let's say July twenty twenty six.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And in the meantime, just enjoy the journey and meet
- 4:50Speaker 1: the people and have the conversations, because when that day
- 4:53Speaker 1: comes that you're not there, you have all these people
- 4:57Speaker 1: that know you, and you have all these people you
- 4:59Speaker 1: have contacts with and and you're you're creating these these
- 5:07Speaker 1: other experiences through where you work, and so they're going
- 5:10Speaker 1: to remember you and if and it's okay. She she's like,
- 5:15Speaker 1: it's just it's where you're at for now, and utilize
- 5:19Speaker 1: the information you're gaining to help you when you decide
- 5:24Speaker 1: to make do something different. And I'm like, thank you.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I just needed that. It was just it was like
- 5:29Speaker 1: a maybe a five minute conversation, and all I needed
- 5:34Speaker 1: was just somebody to flip a switch in my brain
- 5:36Speaker 1: to go, look what you're gaining from this? And so
- 5:43Speaker 1: I had to change my perspective with what I had
- 5:47Speaker 1: been swirling in. And this is the thing I coach
- 5:51Speaker 1: people on this stuff, Like I give people different perspectives
- 5:57Speaker 1: about their life circumstances and all that. But what happens
- 6:01Speaker 1: with us is we get stuck in our own mind
- 6:06Speaker 1: and emotions and we say, and it's not when I'm
- 6:10Speaker 1: in the heavy emotions of what we would call negative emotions,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I'd call that like mud mucking guck. I didn't feel
- 6:17Speaker 1: like it was in that. I was just swirling in
- 6:20Speaker 1: a space where it was uncomfortable. I couldn't see, I
- 6:25Speaker 1: couldn't get myself to see differently, and I just needed
- 6:28Speaker 1: somebody outside of myself, outside of my story to look
- 6:32Speaker 1: in and go, well, what if you did this? And
- 6:34Speaker 1: I went, oh, yeah, that's great.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Right, It's like sometimes we need that. So we need
- 6:41Speaker 1: that person who's standing over here with no attachments to
- 6:45Speaker 1: listen and flip the switch for you. And that's life experiences.
- 6:54Speaker 1: We can do that with any of our life experiences
- 6:56Speaker 1: in the past or in the present. Shift the way
- 7:01Speaker 1: we are perceiving things. It changes like the entire experience totally.
- 7:08Speaker 3: And the thing is if we can't get there because sometimes,
- 7:11Speaker 3: like you were just saying, sometimes we can't get there
- 7:12Speaker 3: because we are in our own stuff. And if we
- 7:14Speaker 3: have people that we can talk to that are a
- 7:19Speaker 3: match for us with these conversations and then can help elevate,
- 7:24Speaker 3: they're going to have a different perspective and they are
- 7:25Speaker 3: going to give me something else.
- 7:27Speaker 1: You know.
- 7:27Speaker 3: When you're telling me this story, what I see is
- 7:30Speaker 3: like you're and I and I would say you're a butterfly.
- 7:33Speaker 3: But maybe maybe it's maybe it's like a phoenix, because
- 7:35Speaker 3: that goes over and over and over again, right, it
- 7:38Speaker 3: creates and it dies, that creates, it dies. But I
- 7:41Speaker 3: saw you as like this this. You know, you're the
- 7:46Speaker 3: worm in the cocoon, but you're at a point now,
- 7:49Speaker 3: this new version, this new butterflies and.
- 7:52Speaker 2: To come out.
- 7:52Speaker 3: You've came through the cocoon phase many times, but you're
- 7:55Speaker 3: getting ready to come through another phase of it and
- 7:57Speaker 3: you're like ready to stretch out go. So it's like
- 8:00Speaker 3: it's gonna happen. Yeah, and I can see you're you're
- 8:04Speaker 3: are right now. It's so funny with my mind seeing
- 8:07Speaker 3: but I see like that it's opening and I can
- 8:09Speaker 3: see the butterfly it's coming out. The wings are all
- 8:12Speaker 3: wet and stuff still, but you're like, you're it's there's
- 8:15Speaker 3: a there's an opening. There's already the opening is already
- 8:17Speaker 3: there and you're about to walk through it. So that's
- 8:20Speaker 3: how things are changing so much for you. Yeah, which
- 8:23Speaker 3: is pricking awesome, But that's how it feels when you're
- 8:26Speaker 3: getting ready to go through another change. And that's the
- 8:28Speaker 3: thing to recognize, like because I because I have to
- 8:32Speaker 3: remind myself this bed, you're feeling this way again because
- 8:35Speaker 3: you're getting ready.
- 8:36Speaker 2: To go through another phase.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You're getting ready to spend some more stuff or you're
- 8:40Speaker 3: gonna totally transition the way you see things. And it
- 8:42Speaker 3: can be as simple as recognizing that no one really
- 8:46Speaker 3: can ever abandon you. You know, it could be as
- 8:48Speaker 3: simple as I don't have to control things anymore. The
- 8:52Speaker 3: only thing I need to control is make sure I
- 8:53Speaker 3: don't pop that person in the head of there.
- 8:54Speaker 2: When I'm dancing around in the grocery store.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And they're playing our jams, now, I will say they father.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Actually, and I told the story of recently, I was like,
- 9:04Speaker 3: you guys, you guys are really playing much better music now.
- 9:07Speaker 2: It doesn't feel like it's before.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I want to get in the store and get the
- 9:09Speaker 3: hell out because the frequency just felt it was rating
- 9:13Speaker 3: on me.
- 9:13Speaker 2: And it's like they shifted it.
- 9:14Speaker 3: And it's like they're like, yeah, ever since we did
- 9:16Speaker 3: the remodel, they changed the music.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I was like, well, this is great.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I know. I'm mean, you know what, happy people spend
- 9:22Speaker 1: more money.
- 9:22Speaker 3: They know that well see themselves. Was rushing me out
- 9:27Speaker 3: the door, so yes, I hear you.
- 9:29Speaker 1: This is why you have no offense to anybody who
- 9:33Speaker 1: is not an alcohol or doesn't enjoy alcohol. Alcoholic but
- 9:36Speaker 1: it doesn't enjoy alcohol. But when you're having auctions and
- 9:41Speaker 1: things like that, happy people spend more money. And that's
- 9:46Speaker 1: a benefit of having alcohol, I'm just saying, and happy
- 9:51Speaker 1: without the alcohol too. Just but people who are inebriated,
- 9:56Speaker 1: they if they're having a good time, I tell you.
- 9:59Speaker 3: What, they're a little more free with the with the
- 10:02Speaker 3: wallet another thing too.
- 10:07Speaker 1: But I was as you were saying that, I was
- 10:15Speaker 1: actually sitting in my chair yesterday and I was feeling
- 10:19Speaker 1: and seeing, like thinking about a butterfly and what they
- 10:22Speaker 1: go through and and the cocoon. And what it came
- 10:26Speaker 1: down to is as I was sitting there was just
- 10:29Speaker 1: just having that internal awareness and dialogue and all the things.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Is how am I feeling in my confidence? So when
- 10:41Speaker 1: we're when we're having these opportunities to blossom and a
- 10:50Speaker 1: door opens, how confident do I feel to step through
- 10:55Speaker 1: that door? How confident am I finally feeling to be Okay,
- 11:00Speaker 1: the cocoon is open? Am I gonna have trust and
- 11:04Speaker 1: faith that my wings are going to carry me?
- 11:06Speaker 2: Right?
- 11:06Speaker 1: So I And so it's it's interesting but not interesting
- 11:10Speaker 1: that that you wouldn't say that, because I was just
- 11:13Speaker 1: thinking that yesterday. And uh, And I'm like, you know
- 11:18Speaker 1: what you have? You have so much? I have so
- 11:23Speaker 1: much in me so much information and knowledge, and I
- 11:26Speaker 1: will say wisdom in me that can help so many people,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and it's uh, it's a it would be selfish. And
- 11:38Speaker 1: I think we've had this conversation before, like a long
- 11:41Speaker 1: time ago. It would be selfish of me to keep
- 11:44Speaker 1: that to myself and not share it, not share the
- 11:49Speaker 1: information knowledge wisdom that I have within myself with other
- 11:53Speaker 1: people who are seeking the information to help themselves heal
- 11:57Speaker 1: and grow and expand and build their confidence and release
- 12:01Speaker 1: the shame and guilt and all the things. It's like,
- 12:04Speaker 1: that would be very selfish. And so it's kind of
- 12:08Speaker 1: my it's like my right, my responsibility. I'm not going
- 12:15Speaker 1: to say it's an obligation. I don't feel like it's
- 12:17Speaker 1: an obligation, but it's it feels like almost like a
- 12:20Speaker 1: responsibility that I have all this stuff in, all this
- 12:24Speaker 1: information inside of me, that it is my responsibility to
- 12:30Speaker 1: now share it. And they say that the place with
- 12:36Speaker 1: the most wisdom, information and knowledge is a cemetery. It's
- 12:44Speaker 1: all the stuff people have stored within themselves and never
- 12:47Speaker 1: shared it. That's like when you think about that, do
- 12:57Speaker 1: I want to go to my grave and never help others?
- 13:02Speaker 1: Like and I don't get me wrong. I help others
- 13:05Speaker 1: on a regular basis. They come to me. They know
- 13:07Speaker 1: what I do, and they'll just come and pose a
- 13:09Speaker 1: question to me or just talk to me in confidence.
- 13:13Speaker 1: They're like, I need to share something, but I I
- 13:16Speaker 1: don't know who to talk to. And I had a
- 13:20Speaker 1: lady just about a week and a half go She goes,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I feel safe with you, and I feel like you're
- 13:24Speaker 1: not going to say anything, and so can I share
- 13:26Speaker 1: something with you that I haven't told anybody yet? I
- 13:28Speaker 1: was like, uh, sure, shut the door, this was at work, Sure,
- 13:32Speaker 1: shut the door, sit down and I'll listen. I said,
- 13:35Speaker 1: do you want feedback or do you just want me
- 13:38Speaker 1: to listen? She goes, I just need to share this
- 13:40Speaker 1: with somebody because I haven't told anybody yet. No, that's
- 13:44Speaker 1: so good, A MEA, because I don't think I ever
- 13:48Speaker 1: and we'll go back to that part of it, but
- 13:50Speaker 1: it's I don't think i've ever.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I don't I've never asked the person do you want
- 13:54Speaker 3: me to just listen? Or do you want me to
- 13:57Speaker 3: share feedback? And that right there is huge for anybody
- 14:01Speaker 3: talking to somebody else instead of assuming that you think
- 14:03Speaker 3: that you know what they need. And so it's asking
- 14:06Speaker 3: because I have one person that she'll just wait me
- 14:09Speaker 3: tell me, bev. I don't need anybody to fix anything.
- 14:11Speaker 3: I just need I just need to be heard, and
- 14:13Speaker 3: I go okay, And so that's how she'll do it.
- 14:16Speaker 3: But you just presented another way that I can present
- 14:18Speaker 3: it to her so that it feels more at ease
- 14:22Speaker 3: and comfortable actually for both for both parties. Yeah, and really,
- 14:27Speaker 3: when you don't have to do if you just have
- 14:29Speaker 3: to listen.
- 14:31Speaker 2: That's easy. That's so easy. Just just just sit there
- 14:36Speaker 2: and listen.
- 14:36Speaker 3: You don't have to have an opinion, you don't have
- 14:38Speaker 3: to figure out how to fix it. You don't have
- 14:39Speaker 3: to figure out how to tune in so that information
- 14:41Speaker 3: can flow through you. You just sit with it and then
- 14:43Speaker 3: let whatever comes in. And when you're sitting like that
- 14:45Speaker 3: and that neutral space, if any advice needs to come
- 14:49Speaker 3: through that that person's needs, it's going to come through
- 14:52Speaker 3: you anyways.
- 14:53Speaker 2: So that's awesome. So thank you for the rest of
- 14:58Speaker 2: the story.
- 15:00Speaker 1: And she realized she wanted a safe space to be
- 15:03Speaker 1: able to do that, just to get it off of her,
- 15:05Speaker 1: so it wasn't the secret she was hanging on to
- 15:08Speaker 1: and it has to do with the transformation in her
- 15:11Speaker 1: own life, and she just wasn't ready to tell certain
- 15:13Speaker 1: people yet, and but she needed to tell somebody. I
- 15:17Speaker 1: told her, I said, you know what, that makes me
- 15:19Speaker 1: feel very I'm very honored that you even came to me.
- 15:22Speaker 1: That means a lot. So yeah, so people consense that
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know that you create, you can create a safe
- 15:32Speaker 1: space for them, and they have developed that trust within you,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and so it's like, be honored, be honored that they
- 15:44Speaker 1: do they feel that way about you, And this isn't
- 15:47Speaker 1: something I would even have thought would have thought that
- 15:50Speaker 1: way about me. So you never know, just saying you
- 15:54Speaker 1: never knew I'm.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Going before about you? Not sure in your stories.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I feel like you help people just by showing up
- 16:02Speaker 3: and being yourself because just by you just being yourself
- 16:05Speaker 3: and expressing that story, I gained information, so so did somebody.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Else watching this.
- 16:09Speaker 3: So to me, it's like all you have to do
- 16:11Speaker 3: is show up and be yourself, live the path that
- 16:14Speaker 3: you're learning.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Like that's that's it, You're doing it already. Yeah yeah, man,
- 16:21Speaker 2: oh man, oh man, you're so good.
- 16:25Speaker 1: You know, I do my best. It needs a moment, friends,
- 16:32Speaker 1: you never know what you're gonna say that's going to
- 16:35Speaker 1: spark somebody else with an idea or or a different
- 16:38Speaker 1: perspective or whatever it might be. You might just brighten
- 16:43Speaker 1: their day in ways that you had no idea it
- 16:45Speaker 1: would happen. So just go out and the people that
- 16:49Speaker 1: are going to connect with you are your people. Don't
- 16:52Speaker 1: try to appease everybody because it doesn't work. So with that,
- 17:00Speaker 1: be sure to share content if you have found that
- 17:02Speaker 1: this is helpful and beneficial for you and it resonates.
- 17:05Speaker 1: So you can find us on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, uh Speakers, Spotify, Google,
- 17:12Speaker 1: our podcast addic. So we're on many different platforms and
- 17:19Speaker 1: there are other people seeking this information, so please be resourceful.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Any final words.
- 17:25Speaker 3: We're all birthing into something that's new, and it's going
- 17:28Speaker 3: to feel unfamiliar, and I feel like a lot of
- 17:30Speaker 3: times we're trying to connect with our old patterns that
- 17:34Speaker 3: are familiar to those feelings. But just be okay and
- 17:37Speaker 3: know that we're just shifting through a lot of stuff
- 17:39Speaker 3: right now.
- 17:40Speaker 2: We're all butterflies, right We're all.
- 17:42Speaker 3: These yeah, these cocoons, and we're all birthing out into
- 17:47Speaker 3: something new. It's not going to be the last time,
- 17:49Speaker 3: and it certainly isn't the first time.
- 17:52Speaker 2: That's what. We're all here for each other.
- 17:53Speaker 1: So absolutely, and that is true. We're not here to
- 17:58Speaker 1: be to go through it alone. We're here for each other.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So all right, my friends, thanks for hanging out with us,
- 18:03Speaker 1: teach time with Amy and Bev, and we'll see you
- 18:05Speaker 1: next time.
