- Lucas: Hey Luna, ready for another episode of Learn Telugu with Fexingo? Luna: Yes, I am! I've been practicing my ordering food phrases from earlier episodes. Lucas: Good, because today we're going to build on that. We'll learn three new restaurant phrases. Luna: Nice. I always feel a little lost when I want to ask for something specific. Lucas: First up: to ask for the menu, say 'మెనూ ఇవ్వండి'. That means 'Please give the menu'. Luna: మెనూ ఇవ్వండి. Lucas: Perfect. Now imagine you want to order a specific dish. Let's say 'నాకు ఒక చికెన్ బిర్యానీ కావాలి' — 'I want a chicken biryani'. Luna: నాకు ఒక చికెన్ బిర్యానీ కావాలి. That's a mouthful but fun. Lucas: You got it. And finally, to ask for water: 'నీళ్ళు ఇవ్వండి' — 'Give water, please'. Luna: నీళ్ళు ఇవ్వండి. Simple. Lucas: Let's put them in a scene. Imagine we're at a restaurant. You'd say 'మెనూ ఇవ్వండి'. Then the waiter comes back, you order: 'నాకు ఒక చికెన్ బిర్యానీ కావాలి'. And you might also add 'నీళ్ళు ఇవ్వండి'. Luna: So: మెనూ ఇవ్వండి. నాకు ఒక చికెన్ బిర్యానీ కావాలి. నీళ్ళు ఇవ్వండి.
