Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Listen to this, and I want to make sure I
- 0:02Speaker 1: explain this properly. I can't stand band aids on feet.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I wore a bandit on my foot about twelve to
- 0:12Speaker 2: fifteen years ago and still haven't heard the end of it.
- 0:16Speaker 3: I was injured, yeah, no, and rightfully so you were
- 0:20Speaker 3: a band aid.
- 0:20Speaker 1: But I was taking a picture of your foot that
- 0:22Speaker 1: day and I was like, whoa, whoa, And I remember
- 0:24Speaker 1: I took a picture of your foot. It was such
- 0:26Speaker 1: a great picture. And then when I zoomed in I
- 0:27Speaker 1: saw the mandate. Later I was like, whoa. So my
- 0:31Speaker 1: wife get this.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Get this.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So if you go to I have an Instagram page
- 0:36Speaker 1: called Unfugged Feet, and on that page it's mostly Kyle
- 0:39Speaker 1: and my wife and sometimes Peyton, right, and it's a
- 0:43Speaker 1: wonderful community of foot fans. And my wife, well, if
- 0:47Speaker 1: she goes and gets a pedicare, she'll tend to send
- 0:49Speaker 1: me pictures of her peticare and whatnot. And the other
- 0:52Speaker 1: day she sent me a picture of her feet and
- 0:55Speaker 1: she goes, I think my foot modeling career could be
- 0:57Speaker 1: over temporarily, and I was like, what are you talking about,
- 0:59Speaker 1: and zoomed in and there was a band aid on
- 1:03Speaker 1: her toe, no big toe, And I was like, I.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Was so mortified. So get this.
- 1:09Speaker 1: She's walking on the beach to the beach and she
- 1:12Speaker 1: slips on an ice cream scoop, a scoop of ice cream,
- 1:17Speaker 1: slips on the ice cream, bangs up her toe and
- 1:21Speaker 1: almost rips her toenail out.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:25Speaker 1: And so now it's like, that's a good eight nine months.
- 1:28Speaker 1: If her tonao falls out, that's a horrible, horrible that's
- 1:31Speaker 1: for me for a foot guy, I'm.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Like, long recovery.
- 1:34Speaker 3: She can have a band aid on.
- 1:35Speaker 2: For a while, I know.
- 1:37Speaker 3: And I didn't know what to do except send Kyle
- 1:38Speaker 3: the picture.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I was like, oh no, Blake's never going to hear
- 1:45Speaker 2: the end of this right now.
- 1:52Speaker 3: But reminded me of how Easton is scared of like mascots.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Easton is scared of mascots the way you're scared
- 1:58Speaker 2: of band aid on feet.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I know. And I was thinking about that kid.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Cavities, Oh my gosh, he's doing okay. Honestly, it was
- 2:06Speaker 2: a little rough. So we went the other day. He
- 2:09Speaker 2: had three cavities that needed to get filled, and they
- 2:11Speaker 2: asked me, did you want to book each one of
- 2:13Speaker 2: these separately or do we want to do each of
- 2:15Speaker 2: them together?
- 2:15Speaker 3: And I thought, in my head, does he.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Want three separate dentist appointments? No, like, let's just get
- 2:22Speaker 2: it all done at once. And I don't know, I'm
- 2:25Speaker 2: kind of maybe regretting doing that. So we were on
- 2:29Speaker 2: the way and this is like one of the rare
- 2:30Speaker 2: times that like, I got out of the house early.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I was kind of like, oh my gosh, we're going
- 2:34Speaker 2: to get there early. We could get started quicker. It's
- 2:37Speaker 2: going to be amazing. And we're just like jamming out
- 2:40Speaker 2: to he makes a little playlist and I loved his
- 2:42Speaker 2: little playlist, and we're just jamming out in the car
- 2:44Speaker 2: together and he said I always put GPS on it,
- 2:47Speaker 2: and he's very into maps, and he notices, Mom, you.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Just missed the turn. So I missed the exit on
- 2:55Speaker 3: the freeway. And I'm like, oh no, dang it, all.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Right, So it starts rerouting and it re routes to
- 3:00Speaker 2: something that I'm confused about, and so I get confused
- 3:03Speaker 2: and I missed the turn again, so I missed two exits.
- 3:07Speaker 2: So now he's like, Mom, we're gonna be late now.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And the good thing was is we were early enough
- 3:12Speaker 2: that like we were still on time to the appointment,
- 3:14Speaker 2: which I was like, this is great, no big deal.
- 3:17Speaker 3: All is well, don't worry.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So we sit down and he gets three shots of
- 3:22Speaker 2: novacane because he's got three cavities on like the right bottom,
- 3:26Speaker 2: the right top, and the left bottom, so they're all
- 3:28Speaker 2: in separate areas. So they start they start drilling, and
- 3:32Speaker 2: he was already kind of nervous. He's like asking me
- 3:34Speaker 2: to explain exactly what they do, and I was like,
- 3:35Speaker 2: let's let the dentists do that because I don't know
- 3:37Speaker 2: really how to explain it.
- 3:38Speaker 3: And he was like, how BIG's the drill?
- 3:40Speaker 2: You know, all the questions, and so they start drilling,
- 3:43Speaker 2: and it's fine for the first two. They basically the
- 3:46Speaker 2: first two almost all the way down. They start drilling
- 3:47Speaker 2: a third one and he feels it so that the
- 3:50Speaker 2: novacase did not actually kick in, and so he's like
- 3:54Speaker 2: and so they had to give him a fourth shot
- 3:56Speaker 2: of novacaine. And this is the first time he's really
- 3:59Speaker 2: had his mouth numb, you know, when you leave the dentist,
- 4:01Speaker 2: and it feels so weird. For yeah, So everything goes
- 4:05Speaker 2: smoothly after that. We leave and his his mouth, his numb,
- 4:08Speaker 2: like significantly numb. I don't notice till we get home
- 4:11Speaker 2: because he's in the back seat that he's full on
- 4:14Speaker 2: biting his lip and the bottom Like I look at
- 4:17Speaker 2: his his bottom lip is breathing. It almost looks like
- 4:20Speaker 2: he's got like a hair lip because he's like got
- 4:22Speaker 2: like a cut on his lip so bad because he's
- 4:24Speaker 2: been biting it. And then I open up the bottom
- 4:27Speaker 2: of the lip.
- 4:28Speaker 3: And it looks like Hamburger meet in there, like.
- 4:29Speaker 2: She's tearing it up, tearing it up. I was like, oh, buddy,
- 4:32Speaker 2: I was like, I know you don't feel what's going on,
- 4:35Speaker 2: but you you got to stop what you're doing.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Cut it out because it probably does feel weird. So
- 4:40Speaker 4: he's like, what is the sensations? Yeah?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah, And I was like, oh gosh, when the numbing
- 4:45Speaker 2: wears off, it's gonna be.
- 4:46Speaker 4: As oh my gosh, that feeling though, when you don't
- 4:49Speaker 4: get numbed up all the way. I don't numb easily.
- 4:52Speaker 4: And I tell my Dumis every time he's just so
- 4:54Speaker 4: you know, like, I'm gonna need you to double up
- 4:56Speaker 4: the dosage because it is the worst feeling ever.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Well, it's good to know now because like I feel
- 5:01Speaker 2: like he is going to maybe.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Need and they don't charge you for anything extra as
- 5:04Speaker 4: long as you tell him in advance, right, so just
- 5:07Speaker 4: to be I mean, you can't. It'sund like they're gonna
- 5:09Speaker 4: give you too much.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I will say. So he was such a trooper
- 5:12Speaker 2: after that, he was so like, he stayed really calm,
- 5:15Speaker 2: and he did such a good job that afterwards, I
- 5:17Speaker 2: was like, let's go get a toy at the store.
- 5:20Speaker 2: He got a little reward out of it, so it's all.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's all good now. And we have switched toothpastes, and
- 5:26Speaker 2: I have to say it's I'm so interested to see
- 5:28Speaker 2: because I go get my teeth clean in a few
- 5:30Speaker 2: weeks or so, and I'm interested to see if they, like,
- 5:33Speaker 2: notice any difference because I also switched to the special
- 5:36Speaker 2: toothpaste with the nano hydroxyp.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Like when you brush him see smiley.
- 5:43Speaker 2: All right, Okay, okay, I'll send you the toothpaste
