- 2:05Speaker 6: I was about to say something I'm not allowed to say.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 2:08Speaker 6: Game one of the World Series is tonight. I saw
- 2:11Speaker 6: an interesting stat about.
- 2:14Speaker 5: How boring?
- 2:15Speaker 6: No, from the NLCS, which I thought was pretty crazy.
- 2:18Speaker 6: So the 2025 NLCS was against the Dodgers and the Brewers, right?
- 2:25Speaker 6: The 2026 NLCS was Dodgers and Brewers. 2025 NLCS, it
- 2:33Speaker 6: was a sweep. 2026, it was a sweep.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Oh yeah, but the other way. In 2025, right?
- 2:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:38Speaker 6: 128 at-bats, 2026, 128 at-bats.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Really?
- 2:43Speaker 6: That's likely to remain the same sweep. 32 hits in 2025,
- 2:45Speaker 6: 32 hits in 2026.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Now that's different. Maybe they used the same script from
- 2:57Speaker 5: last year.
- 2:59Speaker 9: Yeah, I know.
- 3:00Speaker 6: 250 average in 2025, 250 average in 2026. On base percentage,
- 3:03Speaker 6: 347 in 2025, 2026, 347. So they flipped the script
- 3:08Speaker 6: upside down?
- 3:11Speaker 5: Yeah, they just changed the name.
- 3:12Speaker 6: Yeah, except the Brewers won this year. Last year was
- 3:16Speaker 6: the Dodgers.
- 3:17Speaker 5: That's pretty weird.
- 3:18Speaker 10: What team won this year?
- 3:20Speaker 5: What? The one you just said.
- 3:22Speaker 9: The Brewers.
- 3:23Speaker 5: The Brewers.
- 3:24Speaker 10: Sorry, I was about to share. Did you see that
- 3:26Speaker 10: other fun fact about the Chargers? You know how they've
- 3:29Speaker 10: been sucking. Oh, now football.
- 3:32Speaker 9: Yeah, football.
- 3:33Speaker 10: And how they had like, the last time they had
- 3:36Speaker 10: a streak like this with no wins was when Harbaugh
- 3:40Speaker 10: was the quarterback for the team.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Oh, really?
- 3:42Speaker 9: Yeah, the same amount of losses.
- 3:43Speaker 10: That's right.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Back in 2015, the Milwaukee Brewers, they sold this timeless ticket.
- 3:48Speaker 6: Have you seen anything about this story?
- 3:49Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, dude.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 6: So it was $ 1, 000, and it was a voucher that
- 3:54Speaker 6: was redeemable at any future game, including the World Series, which.
- 3:59Speaker 5: They pointed out that, hey, when we.
- 4:01Speaker 6: Go to the World Series someday, you're going to get
- 4:03Speaker 6: the best available seats. So 11 years later, after this
- 4:07Speaker 6: guy bought this timeless ticket, The Brewers are now in
- 4:12Speaker 6: the World Series, game one tonight. Hundreds of those holders
- 4:15Speaker 6: showed up to cash in And got stuck with crappy
- 4:19Speaker 6: seat locations.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Oh, that's mean.
- 4:21Speaker 6: So the team president admitted that the club botched the
- 4:24Speaker 6: internal logistics and said, quote, did not live up to
- 4:28Speaker 6: the spirit of the program. So these timeless ticket holders,
- 4:31Speaker 6: they will get seats for games one and two and
- 4:35Speaker 6: another free redemption in a future season. So they're trying
- 4:39Speaker 6: to make good on it.
- 4:39Speaker 5: I mean, at least they get to be there.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Yeah, that's pretty generic.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Yeah, still a pretty good deal.
- 4:42Speaker 6: Dude, $ 1, 000. For two World Series games and now a
- 4:47Speaker 6: third that you can use for a future season?
- 4:50Speaker 5: I wouldn't even really care where the seats were, to
- 4:53Speaker 5: be honest. I'd be stoked to be there.
- 4:55Speaker 10: Yeah, but if you're promised that selection.
- 4:58Speaker 6: You know what's cool is former players, and I forget
- 5:01Speaker 6: how long you have to be in the league to
- 5:03Speaker 6: get this. It's not super long, but all former Major
- 5:07Speaker 6: League Baseball players have a pass that they can go
- 5:09Speaker 6: to any game, any city, any stadium, and just go
- 5:13Speaker 6: up to the ticket window, and they're given two tickets
- 5:15Speaker 6: to that game.
- 5:16Speaker 5: And it's always in the best available seat.
- 5:18Speaker 6: So, you know, you got dugout seats that were unused
- 5:23Speaker 6: or whatever.
- 5:23Speaker 5: They'll give that former player those unused. Yeah, it's pretty cool.
- 5:26Speaker 5: At any game or their own team's game?
- 5:29Speaker 9: No, any game.
- 5:30Speaker 6: It's from Major League Baseball. It's not from the team
- 5:32Speaker 6: they played for.
- 5:34Speaker 10: Former players on social media sharing like the whole process
- 5:37Speaker 10: of doing it.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 6: There was one guy and he was like a lower
- 5:39Speaker 6: level player, but he played long enough that he got
- 5:41Speaker 6: the pass.
- 5:42Speaker 5: He's like, I've always wondered, does this really work? And
- 5:44Speaker 5: so he and his wife were going to the stadium.
- 5:46Speaker 5: They're like, all right.
- 5:47Speaker 6: And he got to the ticket window. They're like, yep,
- 5:49Speaker 6: let me.
- 5:49Speaker 5: See some ID. Show the ID. He's like, oh, here
- 5:51Speaker 5: we go. Here's my tickets.
- 5:53Speaker 9: So cool.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 5: I thought that was pretty cool. Who do you have?
- 5:57Speaker 5: World Series.
- 5:58Speaker 9: I got the Brewers.
- 5:58Speaker 5: They've been the best team. That's the easy option. Yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 6: I mean, the AL just seemed so weak. This entire time.
- 6:04Speaker 6: And it'd be cool for the brewers.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Now, in how many, though, if you want to be fun? Five.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Brewers in five. Okay. Yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 6: I'm saying brewers in five. I would ask Jeff G.
- 6:12Speaker 5: but I don't know where the hell he went.
- 6:13Speaker 9: He knows a lot about that stuff.
- 6:14Speaker 5: It's closer than I thought.
- 6:15Speaker 9: They are a negative 160 to the race plus 140.
- 6:17Speaker 9: You can explain.
- 6:18Speaker 5: That, right, Greg?
- 6:19Speaker 9: Yeah, that's what Greg was going to say. Meaning that
- 6:21Speaker 9: if you put $ 100 on the race, you get 140 back,
- 6:22Speaker 9: but you'd have to lay 160 on the brewers to
- 6:23Speaker 9: get that 100 back.
- 6:29Speaker 4: That doesn't seem like a very good deal.
- 6:31Speaker 10: Well, that's the idea.
- 6:32Speaker 6: Because they're the favorite.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Got it. Go, go, go. Go, go, go. Go, go, go.
- 6:41Speaker 9: Go, go, go.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Go, go, go.
- 6:43Speaker 8: Go, go, go.
- 6:43Speaker 9: Go, go, go.
- 6:44Speaker 11: Go, go, go.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Go, go, go.
- 6:46Speaker 9: Go, go, go.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Go, go, go.
- 6:47Speaker 9: Go, go, go.
- 6:49Speaker 6: Sammy, just in case you were wondering, today is officially
- 6:53Speaker 6: Slap Your Coworker Day.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 6:55Speaker 9: Let's celebrate.
- 6:57Speaker 5: It's allowed and encouraged. All right, so.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Consequence-free, you get to slap any co-worker that you want.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Who's it going to be?
- 7:07Speaker 4: Seabass.
- 7:08Speaker 5: Seabass?
- 7:09Speaker 2: She didn't even have to think about it.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Now, is that because it's so sexy? Oh, look at
- 7:14Speaker 5: her face.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Sammy, it's foreplay and you know it.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Is it the sexual tension? Yeah, you didn't even hesitate
- 7:19Speaker 5: at all. I didn't know if that had changed. I
- 7:23Speaker 5: know it used to be the case.
- 7:24Speaker 6: Because we brought that up at one point, like we're
- 7:25Speaker 6: going to have National Slacker Co-Worker Day and Seabass was like, well,
- 7:29Speaker 6: what is it?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Like, oh, yeah, there's.
- 7:32Speaker 12: Just a benefit for him.
- 7:34Speaker 9: Because I said, yeah, let her do it. But then, like,
- 7:36Speaker 9: I need something out of this. Not just let her
- 7:37Speaker 9: do it.
- 7:37Speaker 4: But are you into it at all? You know what
- 7:39Speaker 4: I mean?
- 7:40Speaker 9: I'm not one of those.
- 7:41Speaker 12: I don't want to do it if he's into it.
- 7:42Speaker 5: I mean, yes, that would be so hot.
- 7:46Speaker 6: All right, your celebrity birthdays. Ryan Reynolds is 50 years
- 7:49Speaker 6: old today. You got Weird Al Yankovic, who's 67. Robert
- 7:54Speaker 6: Turillo from Metallica is 62. Emilia Clarke from Game of
- 7:59Speaker 6: Thrones is 40.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Nick Bosa for your 29ers, Greg. He's 29 today.
- 8:06Speaker 6: And then Dwight Yoakam, the country star, is 70.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Your porno birthday today is Slim Thick Vic.
- 8:15Speaker 6: And today's birthday girl has been passed around more than
- 8:18Speaker 6: a joint at a Cypress Hill concert. 384 fine films,
- 8:23Speaker 6: including Backstage Pass to Slim Fix Ass.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Hell yeah.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Also, G-Spot Grinding Girl Boss.
- 8:30Speaker 6: Cool. She was in Butt Plugged and Pounded, Volume 1.
- 8:34Speaker 6: Filming Our First Fling. Hungry Bunnies Get a Massive Carrot.
- 8:40Speaker 6: She was in Ass-Sisted Living Nurse Does Anal. Oh, no.
- 8:44Speaker 8: Oh, no.
- 8:45Speaker 5: And then who can forget her unforgettable role.
- 8:47Speaker 6: In Black Babies in My White Wife, Volume 3. That
- 8:53Speaker 6: is Slim Thick Vic, who is 35 years old today.
- 8:56Speaker 6: And that is your porno birthday and your celebrity birthdays
- 8:59Speaker 6: here on The Woody Show.
- 9:01Speaker 5: The Woody Show. I like that very much.
- 9:06Speaker 9: All right.
- 9:07Speaker 5: We're checking in with Greg Gorey. Hi. Who's got us
- 9:11Speaker 5: treading these headlines. What do you got there, Greg? Well,
- 9:13Speaker 5: the Brewers host the race tonight, 8 p.m. Eastern in
- 9:16Speaker 5: Milwaukee for a fall classic that guarantees a first-time champion.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Milwaukee swept the back-to-back champion Dodgers in the NLCS, while
- 9:23Speaker 5: the Rays took down the Guardians in six. So game one,
- 9:26Speaker 5: under the roof at American Family Field. Two of baseball's
- 9:29Speaker 5: cheapest payrolls playing for the biggest trophy in baseball.
- 9:33Speaker 6: It's weird how that worked out, like right before they
- 9:35Speaker 6: go into this whole collective bargaining thing. Salary cap and everything.
- 9:39Speaker 6: It's weird how that just.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Randomly worked out.
- 9:42Speaker 9: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 9:44Speaker 5: The last baseball. Exactly. Total chance.
- 9:46Speaker 13: Another thing to add to the conspiracy theorist list.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Dude, I'm starting to be one of those people that
- 9:51Speaker 6: believes everything's fixed.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Yeah. It depends on, on the situation, but there are
- 9:57Speaker 5: certain games. I mean, probably no way, no way. But
- 10:00Speaker 5: I feel myself sliding into that territory. We're talking about
- 10:04Speaker 5: billions of dollars.
- 10:05Speaker 9: Yeah. Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 6: Always follow the money. And people have been telling me
- 10:09Speaker 6: that forever. And you, I think like you, uh, you,
- 10:12Speaker 6: you don't want to believe that you don't, you want
- 10:14Speaker 6: to believe better.
- 10:15Speaker 11: Right.
- 10:15Speaker 5: Yeah. Always. That's human nature.
- 10:17Speaker 6: It just seems like more and more. It turns out
- 10:20Speaker 6: that there's a reason there's a thing. There's a reason
- 10:23Speaker 6: that people say that.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Follow the money.
- 10:25Speaker 10: Look at that Nathan Fielder documentary about Theranos and stuff
- 10:29Speaker 10: like that. And they're like, oh, I'm starting to believe her.
- 10:31Speaker 10: I'm like, well, she had billions of dollars at stake.
- 10:36Speaker 10: Wouldn't she lie all day? She was worth, at the time,
- 10:39Speaker 10: I think like $ 4 or $ 5 billion.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Insane. Well, MLB is heading toward a labor shutdown that
- 10:45Speaker 5: could threaten the next season. The current labor agreement expires
- 10:48Speaker 5: December 1st. Team owners pushing for a salary cap that
- 10:51Speaker 5: would limit how much teams can spend on players, but
- 10:54Speaker 5: the players' union says, no way, we will not agree
- 10:57Speaker 5: to that.
- 10:57Speaker 9: Yeah, of course not.
- 10:57Speaker 5: See, that's not necessary.
- 10:58Speaker 6: We have two teams who have some of the lowest
- 11:01Speaker 6: payroll who were just in the World Series, this most
- 11:03Speaker 6: recent World Series, guys.
- 11:05Speaker 5: So this lockout could start December 2nd.
- 11:07Speaker 9: Look, look.
- 11:11Speaker 5: Meanwhile, the Bears beat the Patriots 30-24 at Soldier Field
- 11:15Speaker 5: last night on Thursday Night Football to go to 5-2.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Caleb Williams had 308 yards, a couple touchdowns, and Patriots
- 11:22Speaker 5: quarterback Drake May had a couple touchdowns as well. Some
- 11:25Speaker 5: good games this weekend, including the 49ers Falcons. You got
- 11:29Speaker 5: Bengals and Ravens and the Chiefs and Seahawks, so that'll
- 11:32Speaker 5: be good. Also, veteran actor Tom Skerritt has died. You
- 11:36Speaker 5: probably know him best as Viper in Top Gun or
- 11:39Speaker 5: maybe Captain Dallas in Alien or the MASH movies that
- 11:42Speaker 5: he did. He also had a role on Picket Fences
- 11:45Speaker 5: where he won an Emmy for playing Sheriff Jimmy Brock
- 11:48Speaker 5: And I didn't know this, but before he was an actor,
- 11:50Speaker 5: Tom Skerritt was in the Air Force. And that's why
- 11:52Speaker 5: he was such an advocate for veterans outside of work. Yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 5: I hadn't thought about that, dude, forever. Or, like, seen
- 11:58Speaker 5: his name in anything forever until that headline popped up.
- 12:01Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, damn. And I didn't know how old
- 12:03Speaker 5: he was. He died of natural causes at age 93.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Well, and God bless him, but he's one of those
- 12:08Speaker 4: guys that's like, he was still alive?
- 12:10Speaker 5: Really? See, I would have thought he was 70. Oh, really?
- 12:13Speaker 9: To me, he always looked older. In The Last Top Gun?
- 12:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I don't know, was he? I don't think so.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Not in the, no, not in the recent one.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Because they brought a bunch of those guys back.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think Tom Skerritt was in it.
- 12:25Speaker 5: I don't know. I think I might be the only
- 12:26Speaker 5: person in America who didn't see that new Top Gun. Well,
- 12:29Speaker 5: it ruled.
- 12:30Speaker 9: Really?
- 12:30Speaker 4: You don't love America then?
- 12:32Speaker 5: No, he wasn't. I guess I'm a hardcore communist. Now
- 12:35Speaker 5: this I don't fully understand, but it does freak me out.
- 12:38Speaker 5: So J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, Citibank, and Wells Fargo
- 12:42Speaker 5: are now restricting third-party AI agents, and Morgan Stanley is
- 12:46Speaker 5: blocking them altogether after this Axios report came out and
- 12:50Speaker 5: said that banks detected agents logging into customer accounts, sometimes
- 12:54Speaker 5: with the customer's own credentials, And occasionally doing things that
- 12:58Speaker 5: nobody asked them to do.
- 12:59Speaker 6: See, that's what we're talking to Rich on tech about. Yeah,
- 13:02Speaker 6: so you have these AI assistants and you can go, oh,
- 13:05Speaker 6: move 100 bucks from my checking to my savings account.
- 13:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:09Speaker 6: And you're just giving access to your financials and your
- 13:12Speaker 6: accounts to these AI. I told Rich and I just
- 13:16Speaker 6: don't see how that is a smart thing.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't trust it.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 5: He said he's all for it. Well, yeah.
- 13:24Speaker 4: He says it has limits that he put on it,
- 13:26Speaker 4: but I don't trust those either.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Right. Right.
- 13:29Speaker 6: If it could just do things on its own, why
- 13:30Speaker 6: couldn't it just work around a limit?
- 13:32Speaker 5: Yeah, right.
- 13:33Speaker 10: Like I said, when we talked to Rich, I set
- 13:34Speaker 10: up something totally separate, away from all my regular accounts,
- 13:39Speaker 10: just so I could play with it, just see how
- 13:40Speaker 10: it worked. But it's pretty incredible. As long as it's
- 13:43Speaker 10: doing good things, like adding more money to your.
- 13:45Speaker 5: Account, cool. Yeah, please. Well, they say that some of
- 13:48Speaker 5: them are calling the bank's call centers regularly. One executive
- 13:51Speaker 5: says the situation is horrifying because banks can't tell an
- 13:54Speaker 5: authorized agent from a rogue agent.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Now, most banks have settled on read-only access, which means
- 14:01Speaker 5: that AI can look at your money but not move
- 14:03Speaker 5: it around or do stuff on your behalf.
- 14:05Speaker 6: Question for people who work in, like, a customer service
- 14:08Speaker 6: type role or, like, have you gotten a phone call
- 14:11Speaker 6: from one of these agents where, you know, I hear about, oh,
- 14:14Speaker 6: you can have your AI agent or have AI call
- 14:18Speaker 6: the bank phone company for you and negotiate your cell
- 14:22Speaker 6: phone bill.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Right.
- 14:23Speaker 4: That sounds good.
- 14:24Speaker 6: When you work at the cell phone company, hello, thank
- 14:28Speaker 6: you for calling.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Is it a voice like this? Hi, I'm an AI
- 14:33Speaker 5: agent on behalf of customer. How does that sound?
- 14:35Speaker 9: I think it sounds a little bit better.
- 14:37Speaker 5: What's the interaction sound like?
- 14:38Speaker 4: Do they know?
- 14:40Speaker 5: The one conversation I had that lasted about 10 minutes
- 14:43Speaker 5: and I now- a year later, realized it was AI.
- 14:47Speaker 5: And it was so bizarre. And I should have said
- 14:50Speaker 5: at the end, are you a human?
- 14:51Speaker 4: Was it the funeral home?
- 14:52Speaker 5: It was the funeral home. And it was so elaborate.
- 14:56Speaker 5: And then after, quote, talking to it, it had an
- 15:00Speaker 5: actual human call me back about 10 minutes later. So
- 15:02Speaker 5: I'm convinced that was AI. And I should have asked
- 15:05Speaker 5: right out of the gate.
- 15:06Speaker 6: I booked a hotel for a trip that we're doing
- 15:09Speaker 6: over the holidays. And I had a question for the
- 15:13Speaker 6: hotel that we booked. So I called and man, you
- 15:16Speaker 6: cannot get a person. You could talk to their virtual
- 15:20Speaker 6: AI assistant. But the minute you start, you know, what
- 15:24Speaker 6: is your name?
- 15:25Speaker 5: What is your email? I would just like to speak
- 15:26Speaker 5: to an agent. All right. Well, first, let me start
- 15:28Speaker 5: with your name. Guest. You know, just, oh, my God.
- 15:33Speaker 9: Guest.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Do you have a last name? Yeah.
- 15:36Speaker 6: It's like, well, give me a few in a few words.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Tell me about what you're calling about today. Question about
- 15:42Speaker 5: the resort. Yeah, yeah. What can I help you with? Agent, please. Bitch,
- 15:47Speaker 5: just give me a real person. Thank you for calling.
- 15:48Speaker 9: Goodbye.
- 15:49Speaker 5: And just like disconnect, disconnect. There's no way to navigate.
- 15:52Speaker 9: Oh, well, no.
- 15:54Speaker 10: The way to navigate it is you get your own
- 15:57Speaker 10: agent and it'll find like some random- a customer service
- 16:01Speaker 10: number or an email to reach somebody.
- 16:04Speaker 4: You got to fight fire with fire.
- 16:05Speaker 9: Yeah, dude. It's the only way. Agent against agent.
- 16:08Speaker 5: I was so frustrated. Which I've done.
- 16:11Speaker 9: The trip?
- 16:11Speaker 5: No, I almost canceled staying at this place. Out of principle,
- 16:15Speaker 5: I might. Forget it. Yeah, F you.
- 16:16Speaker 4: I'll try to play ball and it'll have no idea
- 16:19Speaker 4: how to help me.
- 16:20Speaker 6: So I recently got some new insurance and my old
- 16:24Speaker 6: insurance company, they were super difficult to get a hold of.
- 16:27Speaker 5: I had Allstate. I had Allstate forever.
- 16:30Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 16:31Speaker 6: And they became so impossible to get on the phone,
- 16:34Speaker 6: get a human for regular questions and stuff that was
- 16:36Speaker 6: more pressing too. It's like, okay, Hey man, I'm, you know,
- 16:39Speaker 6: renewing on this, but I need to make sure that
- 16:41Speaker 6: I have, anyway, trying to get ahold of these people
- 16:44Speaker 6: couldn't do it.
- 16:45Speaker 5: And so I go, forget it.
- 16:46Speaker 6: And so I switched to somebody else and ended up
- 16:49Speaker 6: getting a better deal. But now all of a sudden
- 16:52Speaker 6: the office that I was trying to get ahold of, man,
- 16:54Speaker 6: they're all over me. Oh, well, we'd like to work.
- 16:57Speaker 6: I mean, Hey, if I have this much trouble getting
- 16:59Speaker 6: you on the phone in a situation that's not like
- 17:02Speaker 6: an emergency where I have a claim or I've been
- 17:04Speaker 6: in an accident or whatever, I can't imagine what it's
- 17:07Speaker 6: like dealing with you guys when I have an actual issue,
- 17:09Speaker 6: an actual claim, or I actually need somebody on the
- 17:13Speaker 6: phone right now. You're just not available. So that to
- 17:17Speaker 6: me is a deal breaker, so I'm out.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 17:19Speaker 5: I get it. It's the same thing with this hotel.
- 17:22Speaker 6: If I can't get a hold of anybody for a
- 17:24Speaker 6: basic question, what leads me to believe that I'm going
- 17:26Speaker 6: to have a good experience at this resort or at
- 17:29Speaker 6: this hotel?
- 17:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:32Speaker 5: They don't care enough to talk to you even before
- 17:34Speaker 5: you get there.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Oh, they'll take your money.
- 17:36Speaker 5: They'll take your money. Now that you're there, are they
- 17:38Speaker 5: going to help you out?
- 17:39Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 17:40Speaker 5: In my never-ending quest for knowledge and not wanting to
- 17:42Speaker 5: look things up.
- 17:43Speaker 8: All right.
- 17:44Speaker 5: When did we start calling them AI agents? Give me
- 17:46Speaker 5: a time. Like, was that like a month ago?
- 17:48Speaker 9: No, no agents.
- 17:50Speaker 10: They've been around almost a year now, but, uh, people
- 17:53Speaker 10: are starting to adopt them more and more. So you usually,
- 17:56Speaker 10: you have your AI where you go and talk to it,
- 17:59Speaker 10: like your web browser.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:01Speaker 10: But then you have, uh, now you have agents where
- 18:05Speaker 10: they just work on a, like a certain thing for you.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:08Speaker 10: So like I have, I have an agent. That's like
- 18:12Speaker 10: set up for alerts. So like the moment, like, I
- 18:16Speaker 10: know Google's had this feature before, but the moment that
- 18:19Speaker 10: they say racing canes is opening up at this date
- 18:22Speaker 10: at this time, it's going to alert me.
- 18:24Speaker 5: You had an alert for that.
- 18:25Speaker 9: Yeah. But like anytime, anytime. Yeah.
- 18:28Speaker 10: But anytime, like I think of something I can just
- 18:31Speaker 10: verbally tell it, say, Oh, Hey, set up an alert for.
- 18:34Speaker 10: You know, if, you know, you see something on the
- 18:37Speaker 10: Internet about Greg Gorey, you know, again, that's not a
- 18:40Speaker 10: new idea. That's a small thing. Or have like an
- 18:43Speaker 10: agent set up to send out emails to like try
- 18:45Speaker 10: to reach somebody. And I go, oh, if this if
- 18:48Speaker 10: this person doesn't reply by Wednesday, set up a follow
- 18:52Speaker 10: up email and then change the subject line and then
- 18:55Speaker 10: it will send the email.
- 18:56Speaker 5: Right. But I thought we called that notifications.
- 18:58Speaker 8: Right.
- 18:59Speaker 5: You know, like when do we call it an AI agent?
- 19:01Speaker 10: Well, it's like it's sending the email for me and
- 19:04Speaker 10: it's writing the email for me.
- 19:05Speaker 6: Notification is one thing. Agent is where it's an assistant.
- 19:08Speaker 6: It's actually doing something for you. It's carrying out a task.
- 19:12Speaker 6: And that's an AI agent. That's the AI agent.
- 19:15Speaker 4: And to Greg's original question, I would say in the last.
- 19:18Speaker 5: six months yeah a few months right okay well you're
- 19:21Speaker 5: hearing it more and more yeah yeah now i hear
- 19:23Speaker 5: it all the time and i thought when do we
- 19:24Speaker 5: start calling it ai agents.
- 19:26Speaker 10: It's been a while like people are buying like a
- 19:28Speaker 10: year ago they're buying like these apple uh mini computers
- 19:32Speaker 10: they set up these agents and now it's just like
- 19:35Speaker 10: on your phone.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Something new for you to learn yeah i know i
- 19:37Speaker 5: know because i like i've used chat gpt where i'll
- 19:40Speaker 5: ask it a question and i treat it like google
- 19:42Speaker 5: But I don't say, oh, that's my AI agent.
- 19:44Speaker 1: No.
- 19:44Speaker 6: Because that's not your AI Oh, it's not.
- 19:48Speaker 5: Okay.
- 19:49Speaker 6: No, that's just AI. The AI agents was actually doing
- 19:53Speaker 6: things for you. Like you will tell it, Hey, again,
- 19:55Speaker 6: send the email on Wednesday.
- 19:57Speaker 5: Okay. So we're kind of like giving it human attributes
- 20:01Speaker 5: by calling it an agent.
- 20:02Speaker 6: Yeah, because it's becoming your assistant. You used to hire
- 20:05Speaker 6: a personal human, personal assistant.
- 20:08Speaker 5: Okay. That's what it is, except it's AI. Got it.
- 20:11Speaker 5: Got it. Well, you guys are going to be sad
- 20:13Speaker 5: about this. And I, meanwhile, am wondering, why did it
- 20:15Speaker 5: take so long? But the cookie chain crumble is closing
- 20:18Speaker 5: down dozens of locations. It's about time. At least 57
- 20:22Speaker 5: locations have closed. Go out of business. Yeah, right. They
- 20:25Speaker 5: have 55 franchises listed for sale. Crumble first opened up
- 20:29Speaker 5: and sold their overrated and childish looking land cookies back
- 20:33Speaker 5: in Utah in 2017. I think they're good.
- 20:36Speaker 6: The only one I think is no good is their
- 20:38Speaker 6: chocolate chip, which I, you know, that's my favorite cookie.
- 20:40Speaker 5: Exactly. And if you can't do that right as a
- 20:42Speaker 5: cookie shop, what are you doing?
- 20:42Speaker 4: Well, they're not cookies. They're like a dessert, but they're
- 20:45Speaker 4: not cookies. No, they're like muffin tops.
- 20:47Speaker 5: No, they're cookies. They're cookies.
- 20:49Speaker 4: They don't look like cookies.
- 20:50Speaker 5: They're big cookies.
- 20:51Speaker 4: They're delicious.
- 20:52Speaker 6: It's like saying that those, you remember the ones that
- 20:54Speaker 6: used to sell at the mall, the cookie place at
- 20:56Speaker 6: the mall, the cake place?
- 20:57Speaker 5: They look like a pizza.
- 20:58Speaker 14: The Mrs.
- 20:59Speaker 9: Fields?
- 20:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 9: Oh, those are awesome.
- 21:01Speaker 4: But those are at least the thickness of a cookie.
- 21:03Speaker 4: These are like domed.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Yeah. That's because they put a bunch of icing on them.
- 21:07Speaker 10: Yeah, they're fluffy.
- 21:08Speaker 5: They're iced cookies.
- 21:09Speaker 4: I'm kind of with you, Greg.
- 21:11Speaker 5: It bums me out that you like them, Woody. It
- 21:13Speaker 5: makes me.
- 21:13Speaker 9: Why?
- 21:14Speaker 5: Because it's just so... Because some of them are really good.
- 21:16Speaker 5: It's so not like you because you hate potlucks because
- 21:19Speaker 5: you're worried about kids' booger hands. Crumble Cookies looks like
- 21:22Speaker 5: you got a group of four-year-olds together. But it wasn't four-year-olds.
- 21:25Speaker 5: And said, hey... put some decorations on these cookies. I
- 21:28Speaker 5: don't care how they look. It's reminiscent of a child
- 21:33Speaker 5: helping out for a potluck. That's what they look like.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Two things. Number one. And you're a mental eater. You
- 21:38Speaker 5: should not like them. Two things. Number one, it wasn't
- 21:41Speaker 5: four-year-olds making them. Number two. It looks thick.
- 21:44Speaker 6: You think this thing's going to be around long enough
- 21:46Speaker 6: for me to figure out like, you know, oh, this
- 21:48Speaker 6: doesn't look great.
- 21:49Speaker 5: It's a Reese's peanut butter cup, whatever crumble cookie.
- 21:52Speaker 6: It's got big old chunks of Reese's peanut butter cup
- 21:55Speaker 6: on there, like a peanut butter flavored kind of icing
- 21:58Speaker 6: and chocolate fudge, whatever. Dude, that thing's going in my
- 22:01Speaker 6: mouth so quick. I'm not going to look at it.
- 22:03Speaker 5: You say that you don't like lamb because it reminds
- 22:05Speaker 5: you of furry meat. Yes. You should look at a
- 22:07Speaker 5: crumble cookie and it should remind you of a child
- 22:10Speaker 5: helping out for a potluck.
- 22:11Speaker 4: A sticky lamb.
- 22:13Speaker 5: It should be a mental hang up of yours and
- 22:15Speaker 5: it's not.
- 22:16Speaker 6: It doesn't sound like it's going to be an issue
- 22:17Speaker 6: because they're going away.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:19Speaker 9: It's your favorite thing. American business is going out of business, Greg.
- 22:22Speaker 5: Yes, that's what I said.
- 22:23Speaker 6: And this is what happened when you have any of
- 22:25Speaker 6: this trendy stuff. You had the cupcakes, the gourmet cupcake things, sprinkles.
- 22:30Speaker 5: That was big for a minute.
- 22:31Speaker 4: They expand too fast. They fly too close to the sun.
- 22:35Speaker 6: And when you're so one-dimensional like that, your cupcakes, you're
- 22:38Speaker 6: just cookies.
- 22:39Speaker 5: You're just whatever it is.
- 22:40Speaker 9: You gotta pivot, man.
- 22:41Speaker 4: They expand too fast.
- 22:42Speaker 15: I think it got taken down really by TikTok and
- 22:45Speaker 15: most people posting what's actually in the cookies.
- 22:48Speaker 4: What?
- 22:48Speaker 15: Their ingredient list is crazy. We were talking about Soda
- 22:52Speaker 15: and stuff. It's nothing compared to soda. But I think
- 22:54Speaker 15: those videos of like what's actually in.
- 22:56Speaker 5: One cookie is like 4,000 calories.
- 22:58Speaker 9: Yeah. And then the ingredients list is like 40 things long.
- 23:01Speaker 5: People don't eat that stuff?
- 23:02Speaker 9: We can't pronounce.
- 23:03Speaker 4: No, that's why it's exact.
- 23:04Speaker 5: I haven't, dog. They're good. They're gross.
- 23:07Speaker 6: I mean, I'm not surprised that a lot of them
- 23:09Speaker 6: are closing and going away.
- 23:10Speaker 5: Again, just too one dimensional. It's just oversaturated.
- 23:12Speaker 16: It's a fad.
- 23:13Speaker 5: And they still have over a thousand stores nationwide.
- 23:15Speaker 9: So don't worry.
- 23:16Speaker 5: They're not like in danger of shutting down tomorrow. Finally,
- 23:20Speaker 5: new movies and theaters this weekend. You got Morgan's Hero
- 23:22Speaker 5: and Object of Lust, Sacha Baron Cohen heading back as
- 23:25Speaker 5: Ali G. Who is I?
- 23:27Speaker 4: So excited.
- 23:28Speaker 5: So classic Ali G doing that, quote, documentary. Who is I?
- 23:31Speaker 5: With people who don't know what's going on.
- 23:33Speaker 4: And I think this one is about him hanging out
- 23:35Speaker 4: with conspiracy theorists. So it's going to be great.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Oh, that'll be good. Also, Clayface, the DC origin story, R-rated.
- 23:43Speaker 5: It's about an aspiring Hollywood star who gets his identity
- 23:46Speaker 5: stripped away by some scientific experiment. And I read that
- 23:50Speaker 5: Batman does not make an appearance in this. Don't expect it.
- 23:54Speaker 5: A movie called Clara and the Sun. That's with Jenna
- 23:57Speaker 5: Ortega and Amy Adams. It's about a robot girl designed
- 24:00Speaker 5: to help out a grieving family.
- 24:03Speaker 9: Oh, yeah. I like the trailer.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Like an alien agent, right?
- 24:05Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 9: I like the trailer for it.
- 24:08Speaker 5: It's awesome. And then the precious movie. Everybody seems to
- 24:10Speaker 5: be talking about this drama called Fjord. About a Romanian family.
- 24:14Speaker 5: They move to Norway and get their kids taken away.
- 24:16Speaker 3: All right.
- 24:16Speaker 5: That sounds fun. Yeah, that sounds like a fun time.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Good weekend family movie. Let my wife and I get
- 24:20Speaker 5: a sitter for that one. Yeah, go see Fjord. We'll
- 24:23Speaker 5: pay a sitter. We'll go out to a nice meal.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 5: And then go see a real fun movie. Well, that's
- 24:28Speaker 5: what's going on, Woody. All right. Thank you very much,
- 24:29Speaker 5: Greg Gorey.
- 24:30Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 24:35Speaker 6: Shout out to Todd checking in on the text over
- 24:39Speaker 6: to 2297. Says, about to go kayak fishing and get
- 24:42Speaker 6: me a hot piece of bass.
- 24:44Speaker 5: Get it.
- 24:45Speaker 8: Nice.
- 24:45Speaker 17: Rip.
- 24:45Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying? No.
- 24:46Speaker 5: Come on, Todd. Yeah. Rip.
- 24:50Speaker 16: Menace.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yes.
- 24:51Speaker 9: Some food news.
- 24:52Speaker 5: Oh, rip.
- 24:54Speaker 6: Subway is bringing something back. The Fritos chicken enchilada sub.
- 24:59Speaker 9: I want to know. I haven't been to Subway in over.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Me neither.
- 25:02Speaker 10: 13 years.
- 25:03Speaker 6: You're talking about crumble cookies, seeing how a bunch of
- 25:05Speaker 6: those are going away and whatever. It's like, man, I
- 25:08Speaker 6: haven't thought about Subway. I haven't been into a Subway
- 25:11Speaker 6: in a long time. I'm not a Subway hater. I
- 25:13Speaker 6: know there are people like Greg who don't like Subway.
- 25:16Speaker 6: I do like Subway.
- 25:17Speaker 5: It's just that... Yeah. Cheese and olives. Cheesy little cheese.
- 25:21Speaker 9: Oh, you want cheese?
- 25:22Speaker 10: Here's a triangle.
- 25:24Speaker 4: It's so tiny.
- 25:26Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Greg gets so mad. Like, can I get some jalapenos?
- 25:31Speaker 8: Sure.
- 25:31Speaker 5: And they go, one, two.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Like, that's it. And then olives.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Oh, same thing with the pickles.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Like, maybe put olives that I can actually. Yeah.
- 25:40Speaker 4: But you asked for mayo and that thing is covered.
- 25:43Speaker 5: And then 14 pounds of lettuce. Yes.
- 25:45Speaker 9: I'm a Jimmy John's guy. And then. And then Jersey Mike's.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Jersey Mike's, I think, because it's the closest to my house.
- 25:53Speaker 14: Yep.
- 25:53Speaker 5: And it's also really good.
- 25:55Speaker 4: It's so good.
- 25:56Speaker 5: Firehouse is awesome. Firehouse is good.
- 25:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 25:59Speaker 5: What do you mean it's okay?
- 26:01Speaker 4: I way prefer Jimmy John's and Jersey Mike's.
- 26:02Speaker 6: You know, I haven't been to Panera in a long time.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 26:07Speaker 12: That's kind of a different type of sandwich.
- 26:08Speaker 9: If you want a bread bowl.
- 26:10Speaker 6: If you're down for a sandwich, I would consider, if
- 26:13Speaker 6: I'm thinking, that would be in my rotation of consideration.
- 26:16Speaker 5: But I haven't been there in a long time. Subway's
- 26:18Speaker 5: been forever. I like all of them, to be honest. Yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 5: they're all good. Just in my power rankings. That's what
- 26:23Speaker 5: I'm saying. I don't dislike any of them. Right. I
- 26:27Speaker 5: think Subway's a good go-to.
- 26:29Speaker 6: Anyway, so the Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub is back.
- 26:32Speaker 9: What does that even mean?
- 26:33Speaker 6: So it's rotisserie-style chicken, enchilada sauce. Crunchy Fritos right in
- 26:38Speaker 6: the sandwich. And you get this chipotle sauce, Monterey cheddar, lettuce, tomato,
- 26:45Speaker 6: red onion.
- 26:46Speaker 4: No, thank you.
- 26:46Speaker 5: That sounds good. It seems like it would be good
- 26:49Speaker 5: in a bowl.
- 26:50Speaker 9: Yeah, I think it's.
- 26:51Speaker 4: A strange combo.
- 26:52Speaker 5: Oh, Sonic, when you used to get the Frito pie?
- 26:54Speaker 9: Dude.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Yeah, dude. Or like... What do they call it? Walking.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Walking tacos.
- 26:59Speaker 6: Like a walking taco type thing where you have like
- 27:01Speaker 6: a little bag of Fritos and they open it up
- 27:03Speaker 6: and they dump chili and stuff in it.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Cheese.
- 27:06Speaker 9: Yeah, dude.
- 27:07Speaker 14: See?
- 27:07Speaker 4: That's good.
- 27:08Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 27:09Speaker 5: What was the one to talk about? The Frito burrito?
- 27:11Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 5: That was bomb.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Did you guys do that?
- 27:13Speaker 5: They don't have that anymore, do they?
- 27:14Speaker 9: Not that I know of.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Did you do that as kids? Like crush up like
- 27:18Speaker 4: either potato chips or Fritos in your sandwich?
- 27:20Speaker 18: No.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Oh, I did.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Oh, you put Doritos. Yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Oh, in what?
- 27:24Speaker 5: In a sandwich.
- 27:24Speaker 4: What kind of sandwich?
- 27:25Speaker 8: I mean.
- 27:26Speaker 5: All of them?
- 27:27Speaker 4: Okay, because we would do potato chips in our peanut
- 27:29Speaker 4: butter and jelly.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Oh, really?
- 27:30Speaker 9: Yeah, you put Lay's in there.
- 27:33Speaker 5: It's good.
- 27:33Speaker 6: If you're a sub-club member, you get buy one, get
- 27:37Speaker 6: one free footlongs October 27th through November 8th.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Hell yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 5: All right, that's a good deal.
- 27:44Speaker 6: Menace, I know how much you love Walmart and Sam's Club.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:48Speaker 6: So Walmart CEO just laid out this new combined Walmart
- 27:53Speaker 6: Plus and Sam's Club Plus membership. So it's $ 120 a year,
- 27:58Speaker 6: and that's about $ 100 less than what you would pay
- 28:01Speaker 6: if you got them both separately. With free delivery from
- 28:04Speaker 6: both stores, a Peacock or Paramount Plus subscription, and $ 0. 10
- 28:08Speaker 6: off per gallon at more than 17,000 stations. So they're
- 28:12Speaker 6: bundling Walmart Plus and Sam's Club into like one.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Mega bundle?
- 28:17Speaker 5: Yeah, one membership.
- 28:18Speaker 9: I like that. I, uh.
- 28:20Speaker 10: I never shot this out, but what I do love
- 28:22Speaker 10: about Sam's club, do you, uh, do you ever go
- 28:25Speaker 10: where you can just scan and go everything? So you
- 28:28Speaker 10: scan all your items. As you're shopping, you can just
- 28:32Speaker 10: pay for everything.
- 28:33Speaker 5: And then just walk out?
- 28:33Speaker 9: And then just walk out.
- 28:34Speaker 5: It's pretty cool.
- 28:35Speaker 6: Technically, the Sam's Club is closer to my house than
- 28:37Speaker 6: Costco is, but I've always been such.
- 28:38Speaker 5: A Costco guy. Yeah.
- 28:40Speaker 4: I haven't been to Sam's Club.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Because Costco has the things that I like.
- 28:42Speaker 8: Same.
- 28:43Speaker 6: So I'll go to the Costco. I should go over
- 28:45Speaker 6: to Sam's.
- 28:46Speaker 9: You got to be like me, dual membership, dude. I'll
- 28:48Speaker 9: check it out.
- 28:49Speaker 4: But my mom is a huge Sam's Club person and
- 28:51Speaker 4: just sent me two jackets, beautiful jackets, for a total
- 28:56Speaker 4: price of $ 15.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Wow.
- 28:57Speaker 9: For two people.
- 28:59Speaker 4: A trench coat was $ 9 and this cute like barn
- 29:02Speaker 4: jacket was $ 6.
- 29:03Speaker 10: Dude, going back to Walmart.
- 29:06Speaker 5: I know, I know.
- 29:07Speaker 6: You know what I did see at Costco the last
- 29:09Speaker 6: time I was there, they did have a person, like
- 29:11Speaker 6: I didn't get to scan everything myself and do it
- 29:13Speaker 6: that way.
- 29:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 6: But they did have a person who was going through
- 29:16Speaker 6: the people as they're waiting in line. They had the
- 29:18Speaker 6: scanner and they would scan everything as you're standing there.
- 29:21Speaker 6: And they make it super quick.
- 29:24Speaker 5: So that was cool.
- 29:25Speaker 10: Uh, speaking about Walmart though, uh, you know, I ride
- 29:27Speaker 10: or die for Walmart.
- 29:28Speaker 5: I love it.
- 29:29Speaker 10: But the one by our radio station, I feel like
- 29:32Speaker 10: I've already lived GTA six for some reason.
- 29:34Speaker 4: That one is so mega depressing.
- 29:37Speaker 10: It is crazy in there because I've been in there also.
- 29:40Speaker 10: I don't like it I don't like it because it's
- 29:42Speaker 10: not like a brand new one from the ground up
- 29:45Speaker 10: it's like they took over like some old sporting goods store.
- 29:49Speaker 9: It's very depressing and the lighting is so It's so bad.
- 29:51Speaker 10: It's so dark in there. You should consult with them.
- 29:54Speaker 10: It's right next to a highway entrance, too, so it's
- 29:56Speaker 10: not like local people in there. And, dude, again, I
- 29:59Speaker 10: live GTA 6 every time I go in there.
- 30:01Speaker 5: You should pull them aside and say, look, I got
- 30:03Speaker 5: a few tips for you.
- 30:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 30:04Speaker 9: Like, how do you work here every day?
- 30:06Speaker 5: A simple improvement with just the lighting. Yep. 877-44-WOODY.
- 30:09Speaker 6: You can text us over to 22987. Time's running out
- 30:11Speaker 6: on this, too, guys.
- 30:16Speaker 5: It's October, and you know what that means.
- 30:21Speaker 1: It's Menace's birthday month.
- 30:25Speaker 5: The countdown is on.
- 30:27Speaker 6: All right, Menace's birthday month.
- 30:32Speaker 5: Just checking in, Menace.
- 30:33Speaker 9: Yes.
- 30:33Speaker 5: We're kind of getting down to the nitty-gritty here.
- 30:36Speaker 8: We are.
- 30:36Speaker 5: Kind of the end of things. Where are we at?
- 30:39Speaker 10: Well, if you want to enter to win that TCL television...
- 30:44Speaker 10: today's the day you got to do it you got
- 30:46Speaker 10: to go to our instagram at the woody show on
- 30:48Speaker 10: instagram and enter to win because uh time is ticking
- 30:53Speaker 10: on that well it's the deadline uh the deadline yep
- 30:56Speaker 10: today's the day Do it. And then also, we're going
- 31:00Speaker 10: to gear up to the next one. We're going to
- 31:03Speaker 10: give away that trip to London, the Extreme Weekend trip
- 31:06Speaker 10: to London for Raising Cane's.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 31:08Speaker 6: I got to check in with Jeff G. He's been
- 31:11Speaker 6: going back and forth. You know, they're always a pain
- 31:12Speaker 6: in the ass on this stuff with us. Yeah, I'm
- 31:15Speaker 6: Like we were able to do the extreme weekend trip
- 31:17Speaker 6: to Dubai.
- 31:17Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 31:18Speaker 6: And now all of a sudden it's like the, the
- 31:20Speaker 6: people that are in charge of these different departments, they
- 31:22Speaker 6: have amnesia and like, wait, we don't do that.
- 31:25Speaker 5: What is this? Who are you?
- 31:26Speaker 9: A trip?
- 31:27Speaker 5: What is that?
- 31:28Speaker 9: So wait, we've never given away a airplane.
- 31:31Speaker 5: No, we do it all the time.
- 31:32Speaker 6: But again, I think they have amnesia, these same people
- 31:35Speaker 6: in these different departments, the legal department, the promotions department
- 31:39Speaker 6: or whatever.
- 31:39Speaker 5: I think it's just, so where are we at Jeff?
- 31:41Speaker 13: It's like, Well, we've kicked it up a notch to
- 31:44Speaker 13: someone more important. So hopefully that'll help push.
- 31:46Speaker 9: It across the goal line.
- 31:48Speaker 13: So, yeah, I mean, basically our corporate legal sucks.
- 31:50Speaker 9: You know what I mean?
- 31:51Speaker 15: Locally, everybody's doing their jobs. They're doing fine. But, you know,
- 31:54Speaker 15: we got to create a sense of urgency for our
- 31:56Speaker 15: corporate legal. But we should be fine.
- 31:58Speaker 5: Yeah, because their whole job is to say no.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:00Speaker 13: So we should be okay.
- 32:01Speaker 10: We can't give away an airplane ticket and a hotel
- 32:04Speaker 10: night stay.
- 32:04Speaker 5: They don't say why. Yeah. Why? There's never an answer.
- 32:07Speaker 6: They're not even saying no. They're just saying we're not sure.
- 32:10Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 32:10Speaker 4: They're not claiming deep vein thrombosis again or whatever from
- 32:14Speaker 4: being in a plane so long.
- 32:16Speaker 13: And I'm like you, Woody.
- 32:17Speaker 15: I was like, yo, can't you just copy and paste
- 32:18Speaker 15: the stuff from last year?
- 32:20Speaker 5: Put the updated information in it.
- 32:22Speaker 13: I'm like, it's basically the same thing.
- 32:24Speaker 5: And they're like, I got one.
- 32:26Speaker 9: Word of reply.
- 32:26Speaker 5: No.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Wow.
- 32:29Speaker 8: What?
- 32:30Speaker 6: So on just copy and pasting, not on doing it.
- 32:33Speaker 5: We're going to do it. Here's the thing. We're going
- 32:35Speaker 5: to do the promotion.
- 32:36Speaker 9: I'll just give it away on my Instagram.
- 32:37Speaker 5: It's fine. No, no, no. We're going to be fine.
- 32:40Speaker 5: We're going to do it. Yeah. But like, this is
- 32:43Speaker 5: just par for the course. Yeah. Everything's got to be difficult.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Part of what makes it exciting.
- 32:47Speaker 5: They want to make us sweat. It's what makes it exciting, Menace.
- 32:49Speaker 6: It's like when Greg gets to the restaurant with a reservation,
- 32:51Speaker 6: they tell him it's going to be 20 more minutes.
- 32:54Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 5: God, man.
- 32:55Speaker 6: That's what makes it, it's part of the fun. and
- 32:58Speaker 6: you would think after all these years and all the
- 33:01Speaker 6: different things and we've done a lot of similar things
- 33:04Speaker 6: whether it be the extreme weekend trip to Dubai which
- 33:08Speaker 6: I think is way more extreme than this yeah it
- 33:11Speaker 6: is for sure because this one you have more time
- 33:14Speaker 6: on the ground yeah there's even like a you have
- 33:17Speaker 6: a full 24 hours in London yeah which is way
- 33:20Speaker 6: more than what we had on the ground in Dubai
- 33:22Speaker 6: yeah we had 12 we got that all figured out
- 33:25Speaker 6: but again I think it's just amnesia I think they
- 33:28Speaker 6: do it because if they don't, they don't look busy.
- 33:32Speaker 5: Right yeah yeah they can't.
- 33:33Speaker 15: Justify yeah you have to have an 18 email chain
- 33:37Speaker 15: you know to justify.
- 33:38Speaker 19: Yeah so i have ai that can write it all
- 33:40Speaker 19: up for me yeah so we are we are doing
- 33:42Speaker 19: it it's going to be the extreme weekend trip to
- 33:44Speaker 19: london for raising canes you just gotta like uh we'll
- 33:48Speaker 19: keep you up as of right now the idea is
- 33:50Speaker 19: to start doing the giveaways on monday like the uh
- 33:52Speaker 19: the qualifying starting on monday okay that's that's.
- 33:55Speaker 10: Where we're at right now awesome uh yeah All right,
- 33:58Speaker 10: another update I had. I got a call yesterday from
- 34:01Speaker 10: K1 Speed about doing a little meetup.
- 34:03Speaker 5: Oh, the indoor kart racing thing?
- 34:05Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 34:05Speaker 5: Fantastic. That's cool. Okay.
- 34:08Speaker 10: And then also next week, I have the George Lucas
- 34:13Speaker 10: field trip.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Oh, for the George Lucas Museum. Yeah, yeah. All right. Well,
- 34:17Speaker 5: there you go.
- 34:17Speaker 6: There's the Menace birthday month update.
- 34:20Speaker 10: Pay attention to our Instagram at the Woody Show on Instagram.
- 34:23Speaker 5: Birthday's coming up, guys.
- 34:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 9: Countdown is on.
- 34:26Speaker 5: Less than a week away.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Menace's birthday month.
- 34:29Speaker 20: Sponsored by the letter L for loser and by the
- 34:33Speaker 20: number zero, the official percentage that a grown man with
- 34:35Speaker 20: a birthday month could ever be cool.
- 34:43Speaker 6: I had to go to the grocery store and get
- 34:45Speaker 6: stuff to make a casserole.
- 34:46Speaker 4: So you made this?
- 34:47Speaker 5: I did.
- 34:48Speaker 4: I'm very impressed.
- 34:49Speaker 5: I did.
- 34:50Speaker 6: And my wife and kids walked in as I was
- 34:52Speaker 6: making it, and both kids looked at me and go,
- 34:54Speaker 6: what the hell are you doing?
- 34:55Speaker 4: And why?
- 34:56Speaker 5: You're in your apron.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Do you smell burning toast?
- 34:59Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 34:59Speaker 5: All right.
- 35:00Speaker 6: So for Menace's birthday month, it's been a lot of
- 35:04Speaker 6: food being brought in.
- 35:06Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 35:07Speaker 6: And we were talking about casseroles, and Menace just seems
- 35:09Speaker 6: to have this thing against casseroles.
- 35:12Speaker 7: Right.
- 35:12Speaker 6: And so I'm like, man, I don't know if it's
- 35:14Speaker 6: the word that's kind of throwing him off because I
- 35:16Speaker 6: know a lot of the stuff that's in the cast rules,
- 35:18Speaker 6: he's a fan of.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Yeah, rules.
- 35:19Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just the way it's put together, what it's called.
- 35:22Speaker 6: And so far, batting average really good.
- 35:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 35:25Speaker 5: He has been a fan.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Yeah, sevens and eights.
- 35:28Speaker 6: Enchilada stack, right? That was the first one that Jeff's
- 35:32Speaker 6: wife made.
- 35:32Speaker 10: I got all the ones that I wanted.
- 35:34Speaker 6: And then Gina, what was the second one?
- 35:36Speaker 9: Chicken and rice.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Chicken and rice, which Gina made. That was really good.
- 35:40Speaker 4: And then I did the cheesy potatoes.
- 35:41Speaker 5: Loved that.
- 35:43Speaker 6: The hash brown casserole, cheesy potatoes, whatever you want to
- 35:46Speaker 6: call it.
- 35:46Speaker 5: We've had them on the wheel. We are going to
- 35:47Speaker 5: spend the wheel one more time.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Yes, tuna noodles.
- 35:51Speaker 6: To finish out Menace's birthday month and the wheel of casseroles.
- 35:56Speaker 10: Yeah, now it's the wheel of garbage because it's all
- 35:58Speaker 10: the ones I don't want.
- 35:59Speaker 5: Dude, so.
- 36:01Speaker 6: The last time we spawned, it landed on sweet potato casserole.
- 36:06Speaker 5: God. Now, why do you say ugh? Because I hate
- 36:08Speaker 5: sweet potatoes.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 36:10Speaker 6: So here's the thing. I'm not a super huge fan
- 36:14Speaker 6: of like mashed sweet potatoes. I do like sweet potato fries.
- 36:18Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 6: Sweet potato fries are good, but they got to be
- 36:21Speaker 6: well done. Sweet potato like mash or sweet potato casserole
- 36:25Speaker 6: in general, Menace, I'm with you.
- 36:26Speaker 5: I avoid it. Or just as a side dish, a
- 36:28Speaker 5: sweet potato. You don't like that? No.
- 36:30Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 36:31Speaker 9: They're so versatile.
- 36:32Speaker 5: They're so perfect. This is a recipe. This is my
- 36:34Speaker 5: mom's recipe. I hit her up.
- 36:36Speaker 6: I go, hey, can you send me the sweet potato casserole?
- 36:38Speaker 5: She goes, oh, yeah. What are you doing with it?
- 36:40Speaker 5: Got to make it for work, mom. Long story.
- 36:42Speaker 9: We're having a potluck.
- 36:43Speaker 6: Anyway, so I got the recipe. I think there's a
- 36:48Speaker 6: chance that Menace really likes this.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Oh.
- 36:50Speaker 5: And I'm going to tell you why. Well, go ahead. It's-
- 36:52Speaker 5: I mean, there are the sweet potatoes in there. All right.
- 36:56Speaker 6: But then also, okay, there's got the marshmallows on top.
- 36:59Speaker 6: There's brown sugar. There's cranberry.
- 37:03Speaker 5: Okay.
- 37:03Speaker 6: Because you like that when you make your little cocktail weenies,
- 37:06Speaker 6: there's a can of the cranberry like you would use
- 37:09Speaker 6: for that in there. And then quick oats. So that's
- 37:13Speaker 6: what kind of makes it like bind a little bit.
- 37:15Speaker 6: So it's not like just like just really runny sweet potatoes.
- 37:19Speaker 6: And then, of course, then you got the marshmallows on
- 37:21Speaker 6: the top.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:22Speaker 5: You just took a bite.
- 37:23Speaker 9: I will say this.
- 37:25Speaker 10: It is layered with so much other stuff that I
- 37:29Speaker 10: can't even.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Taste the sweet potato.
- 37:30Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 37:31Speaker 9: So that's why it's awesome because you can't taste the
- 37:35Speaker 9: sweet potato.
- 37:35Speaker 13: You can smell the brown sugar and it smells so good.
- 37:38Speaker 4: This is insane.
- 37:40Speaker 5: This is so good. Good. I would never have thought
- 37:43Speaker 5: to put cranberry in this. In fact, that hint of
- 37:46Speaker 5: tartness is awesome. Here's the thing.
- 37:48Speaker 6: When my mom sent me the recipe, I was like,
- 37:51Speaker 6: there's cranberries in this.
- 37:53Speaker 5: I had no idea.
- 37:54Speaker 6: And she goes, yeah, this, this smells and tastes like
- 37:57Speaker 6: my childhood because when we'd have, you know, uh, Thanksgiving
- 38:00Speaker 6: or there was like, uh, some kind of winter meal, like,
- 38:04Speaker 6: you know, something like that. She would, she would make
- 38:05Speaker 6: this and, uh, And I was the same man. I'm like,
- 38:09Speaker 6: sweet potato, no thank you. She goes, just try it.
- 38:12Speaker 6: It's marshmallows. And I tried it. I'm like, this is good.
- 38:16Speaker 4: This is like a sweet potato crumble.
- 38:18Speaker 5: This is excellent.
- 38:19Speaker 12: Tastes like a pie.
- 38:20Speaker 4: It's really good.
- 38:21Speaker 10: Because when you said sweet potato casserole, I was just
- 38:24Speaker 10: imagining just straight up sweet potato.
- 38:26Speaker 5: Can you believe I made this?
- 38:28Speaker 4: This is insanely impressive.
- 38:29Speaker 12: All by yourself, you made this?
- 38:30Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Nice.
- 38:31Speaker 9: Woody, I need this recipe.
- 38:33Speaker 4: Very good.
- 38:34Speaker 5: I had to call my mom twice.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Oh, my God. I hate sweet potato casserole, and I
- 38:37Speaker 4: need this recipe.
- 38:38Speaker 5: Yeah. It's good, right? Yeah, it has the texture of
- 38:42Speaker 5: pumpkin pie.
- 38:43Speaker 6: What are you giving it, man? It's on a scale
- 38:44Speaker 6: of 1 to 10. That is a 9.5. Wow!
- 38:47Speaker 10: That's a high score.
- 38:51Speaker 9: It's because you can't even taste any sweet.
- 38:55Speaker 10: Potato in it at all.
- 38:56Speaker 5: That is so damn good. Call my mom later. That
- 38:58Speaker 5: was a success real quick.
- 39:00Speaker 4: That'd be a cool thing.
- 39:01Speaker 5: See if she picks up. Hi, honey. Hey, Ma. Hey,
- 39:05Speaker 5: we're on the air. We're on the air.
- 39:07Speaker 6: I just want to let you know the sweet potato
- 39:09Speaker 6: casserole was a hit.
- 39:10Speaker 5: Menace just tried it.
- 39:11Speaker 6: He gave it a 9.5, and this is the one
- 39:13Speaker 6: that he was the most angry about having to try.
- 39:16Speaker 12: No, Menace, I'm flattered.
- 39:20Speaker 5: He hates sweet potatoes. He hates them.
- 39:22Speaker 9: Yeah. And I can't taste it, so that's why it's good.
- 39:25Speaker 6: He said it's good because he can't taste the sweet potatoes,
- 39:27Speaker 6: and I was telling him, it's all the other stuff
- 39:29Speaker 6: that you like, but... sugar, there's the quick oats in there,
- 39:32Speaker 6: which my mom was very certain to point out to me, hey,
- 39:34Speaker 6: make sure they're the quick ones.
- 39:36Speaker 5: Oh, okay. Because you can eat them.
- 39:38Speaker 6: You can screw that up and you got to do
- 39:40Speaker 6: like you mix the dry ingredients with a knife so
- 39:43Speaker 6: it stays crumbly.
- 39:45Speaker 5: So it doesn't get too. Yeah. There are a lot
- 39:47Speaker 5: of instructions, Menace. And the cranberry is magical.
- 39:50Speaker 12: You followed them well then, honey.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Yeah, thank you.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Easily the best one I've ever had.
- 39:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:55Speaker 5: So a 9.5, Ma.
- 39:56Speaker 3: 9.5.
- 39:56Speaker 6: Woohoo!
- 39:56Speaker 5: I know. That made my morning.
- 40:02Speaker 9: All right.
- 40:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:03Speaker 6: My stepfather's like, why are you wasting your time with
- 40:06Speaker 6: making casseroles?
- 40:07Speaker 3: Nice.
- 40:09Speaker 5: Don't you have other things you should be doing? I
- 40:10Speaker 5: just wanted to give you the update. I love you.
- 40:12Speaker 5: I appreciate it.
- 40:13Speaker 7: I love you, too.
- 40:14Speaker 5: Have a good one.
- 40:15Speaker 14: All right.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Bye.
- 40:16Speaker 11: Bye.
- 40:16Speaker 5: All right. There's my mom.
- 40:18Speaker 9: Nice.
- 40:19Speaker 4: I love that.
- 40:19Speaker 9: Highest rated so far.
- 40:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:21Speaker 4: The one you were so scared of.
- 40:23Speaker 9: I know. I know. Well, I do have to spin
- 40:26Speaker 9: the wheel of garbage this time, though.
- 40:28Speaker 5: You know what? I didn't even try it. Oh, my God.
- 40:31Speaker 5: Yesterday after I made it.
- 40:32Speaker 9: Oh, beforehand?
- 40:32Speaker 6: No, because I just put it in the casserole. I
- 40:34Speaker 6: baked it, and I put it in the refrigerator so
- 40:35Speaker 6: I could bring it in, and it looked all nice today.
- 40:37Speaker 4: It's unbelievable.
- 40:38Speaker 5: I just housed that.
- 40:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Greg was like, I'm only going to have a
- 40:41Speaker 4: couple bites.
- 40:41Speaker 5: I'm just going to have a bite. It's so good.
- 40:44Speaker 5: All right, go ahead. Spin the wheel of casseroles. Here
- 40:46Speaker 5: we go. All right.
- 40:50Speaker 9: Tuna.
- 40:51Speaker 5: Tuna.
- 40:52Speaker 18: Tuna.
- 40:53Speaker 17: Tuna.
- 40:53Speaker 8: Tuna.
- 40:54Speaker 5: Tuna.
- 40:55Speaker 6: Tuna.
- 40:55Speaker 5: Tuna.
- 40:55Speaker 6: Tuna.
- 40:59Speaker 9: That helps.
- 40:59Speaker 5: I'm saying, like, you were not excited. There's no way
- 41:01Speaker 5: that would not be too naive. Too naive.
- 41:03Speaker 7: There's no way.
- 41:04Speaker 5: All right, let's do it.
- 41:06Speaker 9: It's going to land. Oh, yeah.
- 41:09Speaker 5: You know what? It almost had to.
- 41:11Speaker 4: But another great one.
- 41:12Speaker 6: It's the green bean casserole.
- 41:15Speaker 5: The classic.
- 41:16Speaker 6: All right.
- 41:16Speaker 9: You guys finally make it.
- 41:18Speaker 5: Well, this is Greg. This is mine. I will make
- 41:20Speaker 5: it awesome. Greg is going to make this one. He's
- 41:22Speaker 5: going to make it awesome. We've done it two times before.
- 41:25Speaker 4: I know.
- 41:25Speaker 5: I'll make it the way I normally do it. And
- 41:26Speaker 5: I think the trick, and a lot of people don't
- 41:29Speaker 5: do this, they don't drain the green beans enough.
- 41:30Speaker 4: That's insane.
- 41:31Speaker 5: You've got to put them in a towel and squeeze them.
- 41:33Speaker 9: It's been pure liquid.
- 41:34Speaker 4: Yeah, they need to be bone dry.
- 41:36Speaker 5: Right.
- 41:36Speaker 6: So Menace has been a hater. Well, he doesn't like vegetables, period.
- 41:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:40Speaker 6: We've given him a couple different green bean casseroles. The
- 41:43Speaker 6: first one he tried wasn't right. It wasn't right.
- 41:46Speaker 5: To be fair, it was not great. It was a milkshake.
- 41:49Speaker 6: Now, Gray's going to make this other one, and this
- 41:51Speaker 6: will conclude the wheel of casseroles. Unfortunately, you know, we
- 41:54Speaker 6: might have to make a tuna noodle casserole at some point.
- 41:57Speaker 4: No, just for fun.
- 41:57Speaker 5: Just to try it. Nah, dawg. No, just to try it.
- 41:59Speaker 5: Look what happened today. Exactly. You tried something that you
- 42:02Speaker 5: thought you would hate, and you loved it. Exactly. You
- 42:04Speaker 5: might love tuna. You'll clean eggs and ham out. Did
- 42:05Speaker 5: you hear how happy that made my mother? Why do
- 42:08Speaker 5: you want to deny her happiness?
- 42:09Speaker 4: Yeah, why do you hate what he's not?
- 42:10Speaker 10: Yeah, but why? Let's leave on a high, dude.
- 42:13Speaker 9: It will be.
- 42:14Speaker 5: Seinfeld it.
- 42:15Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 42:20Speaker 6: A couple things I want to share with you. Things
- 42:22Speaker 6: I saw online that I thought were either.
- 42:24Speaker 5: Funny or interesting. Or both. It could be both. It
- 42:27Speaker 5: could be funny and interesting. All right. This is just cute. Yeah.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Let's start with Kiao. And I've seen these before.
- 42:35Speaker 6: You ever see some of the videos where wives or girlfriends,
- 42:39Speaker 6: they have their boyfriends or husbands do the order at
- 42:41Speaker 6: the Starbucks.
- 42:43Speaker 5: And it's for things that don't really exist.
- 42:45Speaker 6: They always have these crazy names.
- 42:47Speaker 5: Yeah. This is.
- 42:48Speaker 6: It's somewhat like that. This chick filmed herself coaching her
- 42:52Speaker 6: boyfriend at the drive-thru speaker, insisting that he tell the
- 42:56Speaker 6: worker that the order is to go. Now, they're in
- 42:59Speaker 6: the drive-thru. So, of course it is. Yeah, this poor bastard.
- 43:03Speaker 6: In a small Sprite to go.
- 43:05Speaker 5: In a small Sprite, please. Darren, it's okay?
- 43:08Speaker 11: Yes.
- 43:09Speaker 21: Yes.
- 43:10Speaker 5: To go. To go, please. You are getting dropped.
- 43:13Speaker 6: You do realize that, right?
- 43:15Speaker 5: I was not the one saying that. She's telling me
- 43:18Speaker 5: what to order.
- 43:19Speaker 21: All righty.
- 43:23Speaker 5: That'll be it.
- 43:24Speaker 9: All righty.
- 43:24Speaker 17: All right.
- 43:26Speaker 9: You do realize that, right? I'm sorry.
- 43:28Speaker 6: I should have said it's involving a fun accent.
- 43:31Speaker 5: You're a driver, right?
- 43:34Speaker 4: I do.
- 43:35Speaker 10: Just tell me the instructions.
- 43:36Speaker 7: I do.
- 43:37Speaker 5: I'll read them.
- 43:38Speaker 6: So the butterfly effect. Explain the butterfly effect to everybody,
- 43:41Speaker 6: Greg Gorey.
- 43:42Speaker 5: Well, essentially it's if one small event can kind of
- 43:45Speaker 5: change the course of history by.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Just- Affecting each one coming up behind it.
- 43:50Speaker 5: And had that original thing not happened, nothing else would
- 43:53Speaker 5: have happened.
- 43:54Speaker 6: So I saw this and I'm like, wow, that's crazy.
- 43:57Speaker 6: Because I think about that stuff from time to time.
- 43:59Speaker 6: Had this not happened, I would have never met this person.
- 44:02Speaker 6: Not meeting this person would have meant blah, blah, blah.
- 44:04Speaker 5: Yeah. It's a wonderful life, right?
- 44:08Speaker 6: As if George Bailey never was born, what would the
- 44:12Speaker 6: world have looked like? How things would have been different, blah, blah, blah, right?
- 44:15Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:16Speaker 5: Same kind of thing.
- 44:16Speaker 6: Anyway, this account on Instagram, Poor Choices Show is the
- 44:21Speaker 6: name of the account. Poor Choices Show, like poor, P-O-U-R.
- 44:27Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 44:28Speaker 6: And the video, it's like this ridiculous butterfly effect. It
- 44:33Speaker 6: could be the most ridiculous one in history. The entire
- 44:36Speaker 6: origin story of YouTube, Sounds like somebody just made it up.
- 44:42Speaker 5: Right.
- 44:42Speaker 6: But this is how things could have been different.
- 44:45Speaker 17: First, 9-11 happens. Fast forward to Super Bowl 36. Irish
- 44:49Speaker 17: band U2 performs a tribute to the victims during the
- 44:51Speaker 17: halftime performance. But U2 wasn't the original choice. Janet Jackson was. However,
- 44:56Speaker 17: after the attacks, the NFL wanted to set a different tone.
- 44:59Speaker 17: And U2 was selected because they had already incorporated a
- 45:02Speaker 17: tribute performance to their elevation tour. Jackson would return two
- 45:06Speaker 17: years later to perform with Justin Timberlake, which led to
- 45:08Speaker 17: the infamous wardrobe malfunction. When a young man named Jawid
- 45:12Speaker 17: Kareem couldn't find a video of the incident online, he
- 45:16Speaker 17: and his friends decided to create a video sharing platform
- 45:19Speaker 17: known as YouTube. So if 9-11 never happened, Janet would
- 45:23Speaker 17: have performed at the 2002 halftime show and a different
- 45:27Speaker 17: show would have taken place in 2004. And Kareem and
- 45:30Speaker 17: his friends would have never been inspired.
- 45:32Speaker 5: To create YouTube. Wow. 9-11 created YouTube.
- 45:35Speaker 17: That's such a weird thing to say.
- 45:38Speaker 7: Weird.
- 45:38Speaker 5: Isn't that weird?
- 45:40Speaker 6: Maybe they would have come up with the idea for
- 45:42Speaker 6: some other thing they were trying to find and weren't
- 45:43Speaker 6: able to find it.
- 45:44Speaker 5: But when you think about that. It's pretty nuts. The
- 45:47Speaker 5: way it actually went.
- 45:48Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 45:48Speaker 5: It did lead to that. That's weird. That's weird.
- 45:51Speaker 10: And the first video they ever put up. was a
- 45:53Speaker 10: video of them at the zoo.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:55Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 45:55Speaker 4: Very unexciting.
- 45:56Speaker 6: Didn't they try to sell that as an NFT or something?
- 45:59Speaker 4: I wouldn't be surprised.
- 45:59Speaker 9: I think so.
- 46:00Speaker 10: I don't know if they did or somebody did.
- 46:02Speaker 5: Somebody did. I have a slight beef with YouTube, and
- 46:05Speaker 5: I still haven't gotten the premium, which I think I
- 46:08Speaker 5: should pull the trigger on that. But I watch YouTube
- 46:11Speaker 5: on the TV, like I mirror it onto the TV,
- 46:13Speaker 5: and now it's doing this thing where it says, like,
- 46:16Speaker 5: you know, add 40 seconds, and then it counts down
- 46:18Speaker 5: to zero, and then I hit skip, and it goes
- 46:21Speaker 5: to another ad. I'm like, come on.
- 46:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it'll say one of two or two of two.
- 46:25Speaker 5: No, it's just like the whole ad and it's in yellow.
- 46:27Speaker 5: So it's counting down and then it turns white and
- 46:30Speaker 5: it says skip. And then I hit skip and it
- 46:33Speaker 5: goes to another ad. That doesn't happen to me. Really? Yeah.
- 46:36Speaker 5: You want to know why? Because I paid for the premium.
- 46:39Speaker 5: I'm telling you, dude, it's worth it. If you're watching
- 46:42Speaker 5: enough YouTube. It's all I watch. Okay, then it's totally
- 46:45Speaker 5: worth it. Okay, I'll do it.
- 46:46Speaker 6: Because there's so many ads otherwise. And it's always at
- 46:48Speaker 6: the most inopportune time.
- 46:50Speaker 5: Right.
- 46:50Speaker 6: Right in the middle of, like, someone's trying to make
- 46:52Speaker 6: a point. And right before they get to their point,
- 46:54Speaker 6: stupid YouTube ad.
- 46:56Speaker 10: Another thing that's always bugged me about YouTube, because it's
- 46:58Speaker 10: owned by Google, and, you know, you have your Google calendar,
- 47:02Speaker 10: when trailers come out, like, Hey, just have a little
- 47:05Speaker 10: button right there to let me add it to my
- 47:08Speaker 10: Google calendar. Like, oh, I want to watch that movie
- 47:10Speaker 10: when it gets released.
- 47:11Speaker 9: Because sometimes. That's kind of cool.
- 47:12Speaker 13: That's a pretty good idea.
- 47:13Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 47:14Speaker 5: Google. Hello.
- 47:15Speaker 2: You owned everything.
- 47:16Speaker 9: Okay.
- 47:17Speaker 5: So they're doing that. Put it all together. Yeah.
- 47:19Speaker 6: So YouTube is hiding the dislike button.
- 47:23Speaker 9: What?
- 47:24Speaker 6: Yeah, so they killed the public dislike count back in 2021,
- 47:28Speaker 6: and now the platform is testing burying the dislike button altogether.
- 47:32Speaker 6: The like button, that's going to stay front and center
- 47:34Speaker 6: where it's always been. The same burial already happened on
- 47:37Speaker 6: Shorts a few months ago.
- 47:39Speaker 5: So soon, you know, if.
- 47:42Speaker 6: There's a terrible video and you tell the terrible video
- 47:44Speaker 6: that it's terrible... It's going to require you to leave
- 47:46Speaker 6: a comment instead of just pressing a button.
- 47:49Speaker 9: Okay.
- 47:50Speaker 4: Say it to my face.
- 47:52Speaker 6: Well, you won't be able to just push the button.
- 47:54Speaker 6: You'll have to leave a comment saying, I don't like it.
- 47:56Speaker 5: Unfun.
- 47:57Speaker 9: Tell them why you don't like it.
- 47:59Speaker 6: Stupid.
- 47:59Speaker 5: 877-44-WOODY.
- 47:59Speaker 10: Send us a text over to 22987. The Friday Fail Stories.
- 48:01Speaker 5: The Woody Show.
- 48:13Speaker 6: Before I get to the official fails, I mean, this
- 48:17Speaker 6: is a fail, but I see what happened. The Atlanta Falcons,
- 48:20Speaker 6: did you see anything about this Atlanta Falcons thing?
- 48:22Speaker 5: Yeah, that logo?
- 48:23Speaker 6: Yeah, so they set their 1966 throwback logo, which is
- 48:28Speaker 6: a black falcon.
- 48:30Speaker 5: It's over this red, white, and black, and gold stripe thing, right?
- 48:34Speaker 6: And they set that as their profile picture on social media,
- 48:37Speaker 6: and right away... The comments started rolling in. 15 million views.
- 48:42Speaker 6: People saying things like, I did not see this coming.
- 48:47Speaker 5: The Bird Reich. I give this a 9 out of 10. Oh, dude.
- 48:54Speaker 6: And then they quietly switched it back to a red
- 48:56Speaker 6: helmet picture. So here's what they posted.
- 48:58Speaker 9: Oh, boy.
- 49:01Speaker 5: That's no good. I mean, it's from 1966. It was
- 49:04Speaker 5: a different time, guys.
- 49:06Speaker 4: Yeah, closer to World War II.
- 49:08Speaker 6: So it looks a lot like the old Nazi banner
- 49:11Speaker 6: or whatever.
- 49:13Speaker 9: I mean, it's not great.
- 49:14Speaker 5: Usually when there's controversy over ads and people say, oh,
- 49:18Speaker 5: I see this, I see that.
- 49:19Speaker 9: I think, no, you don't.
- 49:20Speaker 5: This one yeah.
- 49:22Speaker 4: It's pretty i give it a nine out of ten
- 49:25Speaker 4: come on I.
- 49:27Speaker 5: Mean, the comments are very clever. The comments are fun,
- 49:29Speaker 5: but it's a whole bunch of nothing. Yeah, I mean,
- 49:31Speaker 5: that's why I say so. It's not the exact same
- 49:33Speaker 5: bird at all. It's just their social media logo.
- 49:36Speaker 10: And it is just an old style logo. That's all
- 49:39Speaker 10: it is.
- 49:39Speaker 9: You guys are idiots.
- 49:42Speaker 5: You guys who? Anybody who's complaining about it. Oh, okay.
- 49:45Speaker 5: I was going to say, you guys.
- 49:48Speaker 6: I'll admit, I saw it and I wasn't getting until
- 49:51Speaker 6: I went into the comments and I went, oh!
- 49:54Speaker 5: It didn't jump out to me right away. If you
- 49:56Speaker 5: have to be told, it's not a problem.
- 49:58Speaker 6: It didn't jump out to me right away. I didn't go, oh,
- 49:59Speaker 6: that looks very Nazi Germany-ish.
- 50:03Speaker 5: Very Bird Reich. I'm sorry, Bird Reich.
- 50:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I didn't... It didn't stick out to me right away.
- 50:10Speaker 6: Then I got into the comments, of course I always do.
- 50:12Speaker 5: Like, what are people mad at?
- 50:14Speaker 7: Oh!
- 50:15Speaker 5: And then I saw the.
- 50:17Speaker 5: The old-timey German thing. Yeah, fail. All right, time for
- 50:22Speaker 5: your Friday fail stories. Here we go.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Fail.
- 50:51Speaker 9: All right, ladies.
- 50:58Speaker 6: And gentlemen, boys and girls, it is time for your
- 51:01Speaker 6: Friday Fail Stories.
- 51:04Speaker 5: All these people thought they.
- 51:07Speaker 6: Had the perfect plan, the plan that can never go wrong,
- 51:09Speaker 6: but then somewhere along the line it went from being
- 51:11Speaker 6: a great idea to.
- 51:13Speaker 5: One big staking, mega, uber, ultra.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Okay.
- 51:32Speaker 4: A little rocky.
- 51:32Speaker 9: It had a cool melody to it.
- 51:33Speaker 6: But we're going to start with one from Washington, D.C.,
- 51:37Speaker 6: where at the Pentagon, there is this globe. But it's
- 51:40Speaker 6: not just any globe. This thing is like 30 inches tall.
- 51:43Speaker 6: It's from the 1930s.
- 51:45Speaker 8: Oh!
- 51:46Speaker 6: It's one of only two that belong to President Eisenhower,
- 51:51Speaker 6: the guy who ran D-Day. And it still has his
- 51:54Speaker 6: actual markings on it from World War II. So it's
- 51:58Speaker 6: literally priceless. And normally the only people allowed to even
- 52:01Speaker 6: touch it are trained museum curators, the professionals.
- 52:05Speaker 5: They're trained on how to touch them.
- 52:06Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 52:07Speaker 5: And move it because it's 90 years old. They know
- 52:10Speaker 5: how to put on those white gloves.
- 52:11Speaker 6: Anyway, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, he saw this and
- 52:15Speaker 6: he's like, I want that in my office.
- 52:17Speaker 9: Oh, boy.
- 52:18Speaker 6: Now, the only people who should be touching it or
- 52:19Speaker 6: moving it, again, this 90-year-old thing, are these professional curators,
- 52:22Speaker 6: but they weren't available right then and there on the spot,
- 52:24Speaker 6: so his staff moved it.
- 52:26Speaker 5: Gotta have that globe now. It never made it to
- 52:28Speaker 5: the office. They start carrying it down the hall. They
- 52:31Speaker 5: dropped it.
- 52:32Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 52:33Speaker 5: My God.
- 52:34Speaker 6: It hit the floor, punched a hole clean through the
- 52:37Speaker 6: shell right around Antarctica, snaps the whole ball right off
- 52:41Speaker 6: the metal mount thing. Now, why weren't the people who
- 52:45Speaker 6: should be moving this stuff available?
- 52:47Speaker 5: Why?
- 52:47Speaker 6: Because they're all still furloughed from the last government shutdown.
- 52:50Speaker 5: Really? From the last one?
- 52:53Speaker 6: Still?
- 52:54Speaker 11: Guys?
- 52:54Speaker 4: Anyone?
- 52:55Speaker 10: That reminds me of that old-timey viral video of that
- 52:58Speaker 10: guy who's showing this old recording of a record where
- 53:03Speaker 10: it was like a cylinder back in the day. It's
- 53:05Speaker 10: from the early, maybe 1800s.
- 53:08Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 53:09Speaker 10: And his hands are shaking so much, and then he
- 53:11Speaker 10: just drops it.
- 53:12Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 53:13Speaker 9: He's like, this is one of a kind.
- 53:14Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 53:16Speaker 6: Next up, a story out of Utah where the road crews,
- 53:18Speaker 6: they were doing some highway constructions, cones, you know, set
- 53:20Speaker 6: up to slow people down for the work zone. But
- 53:22Speaker 6: this chick ended up slamming into the back of another car,
- 53:25Speaker 6: caused a pileup and the death of a 66-year-old man.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 53:29Speaker 6: She was distracted and told the officers at the time
- 53:33Speaker 6: right there at the scene, hey, this is my fault.
- 53:35Speaker 6: So was she calling someone? Was she texting?
- 53:37Speaker 8: Nope.
- 53:38Speaker 6: According to the data they pulled from her phone, she
- 53:40Speaker 6: was watching porn at the time of the accident.
- 53:43Speaker 7: Oh.
- 53:43Speaker 5: She was porning that much. She was porning while she
- 53:46Speaker 5: was driving full speed.
- 53:48Speaker 4: You wouldn't think that from a lady.
- 53:49Speaker 6: 65 miles an hour right into the back of this car.
- 53:52Speaker 6: This dude in the other car died. She was arrested,
- 53:55Speaker 6: taken to fail jail, vehicular homicide charges.
- 53:58Speaker 9: She probably wasn't just watching.
- 54:00Speaker 4: So maybe she didn't have any hands free.
- 54:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:04Speaker 6: This is from Miami, where this dude, he was working
- 54:06Speaker 6: for a company that manages beach equipment services along Miami Beach,
- 54:10Speaker 6: and he was busy installing Vice City beach chair ads
- 54:13Speaker 6: for GTA 6's big marketing blitz.
- 54:16Speaker 5: Sweet, yeah.
- 54:16Speaker 6: And because you are legally required to post everything you
- 54:20Speaker 6: do and everything you think.
- 54:21Speaker 5: On social media, right? Absolutely. By law, you buzz. He
- 54:24Speaker 5: posted a video of them before the official launch date.
- 54:28Speaker 6: It goes viral. Now, Rockstar Games, who makes GTA, is like, dude,
- 54:32Speaker 6: what the F?
- 54:33Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 54:33Speaker 6: They got pissed, and now this guy's looking for work.
- 54:37Speaker 6: GTA 6 cost him his job, which I have a
- 54:40Speaker 6: feeling GTA 6 might be costing a lot of people
- 54:44Speaker 6: jobs because they're not going to go in. They're going
- 54:46Speaker 6: to be sitting around. I saw something about that.
- 54:48Speaker 4: Is that the 19th?
- 54:49Speaker 5: I think so.
- 54:51Speaker 6: There was a story I had about how much it
- 54:54Speaker 6: was going to cost. Yeah, Grand Theft Auto 6 drops
- 54:58Speaker 6: on Thursday, November 19th, and some economists believe 1.5 million
- 55:04Speaker 6: people will play hooky on launch day. Most of them
- 55:07Speaker 6: 18 to 30 years old, and it will cost businesses
- 55:10Speaker 6: about $ 1 billion in lost productivity.
- 55:13Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 55:14Speaker 21: God.
- 55:15Speaker 5: A billion dollars.
- 55:16Speaker 4: Do you think there's going to be blackout dates? You
- 55:18Speaker 4: are not calling out this day, or don't come back.
- 55:21Speaker 5: I wonder.
- 55:21Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know. They don't do that for
- 55:23Speaker 6: the day after the Super Bowl.
- 55:25Speaker 3: Right?
- 55:25Speaker 5: Yeah. Maybe.
- 55:28Speaker 9: Some people would be like, you know what? I ain't
- 55:30Speaker 9: going to have this job no more.
- 55:31Speaker 5: Bye.
- 55:31Speaker 9: She's going to quit.
- 55:33Speaker 6: This next one is from Pennsylvania. This woman, she had
- 55:34Speaker 6: a job as a supervisor, got busted stealing 48 EBT cards.
- 55:39Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 55:40Speaker 6: Which she activated using other recipients' birthdates and social security numbers.
- 55:45Speaker 6: She ran up $ 20, 000 in charges on 270 different transactions.
- 55:49Speaker 5: She was hungry. Ask me how she got caught.
- 55:51Speaker 2: How she got caught.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Well, you see, guys, the cards weren't reaching the people
- 55:55Speaker 5: they were intended for.
- 55:56Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 55:57Speaker 5: And they're wondering, hey, where's my EBT? So they investigate.
- 56:00Speaker 6: It turns out this bitch had been given the EBT cards,
- 56:03Speaker 6: pins included, to her drug dealer as payment for crack.
- 56:09Speaker 5: It's called trade. It's a mess.
- 56:12Speaker 6: She was caught on video withdrawing 20 bucks in grocery
- 56:15Speaker 6: shopping with that.
- 56:16Speaker 5: She was arrested.
- 56:17Speaker 6: She was taken to fail jail, felony theft and fraud charges.
- 56:22Speaker 5: Don't ask me. Talk to my crack dealer. Crack. All right.
- 56:27Speaker 5: This is by far my favorite story. Of the week.
- 56:31Speaker 6: This one is so good. It's from Colorado, where there's
- 56:35Speaker 6: a court case playing out. This tourist from Mexico, his
- 56:39Speaker 6: name is Salvador. He was staying in Aurora, Colorado. And
- 56:44Speaker 6: the cops showed up early one morning to serve a
- 56:47Speaker 6: warrant to a different, unrelated man who was just staying
- 56:51Speaker 6: in the same building.
- 56:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 56:53Speaker 6: So they're outside. They're on the loudspeaker, you know, barking orders.
- 56:57Speaker 6: They bark the orders in English.
- 56:59Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 56:59Speaker 5: And then they did it again in Spanish.
- 57:02Speaker 6: They were warning the residents, the people in the building, hey,
- 57:05Speaker 6: we're here. There's a police dog on premises. That would
- 57:09Speaker 6: give people warning, whatever, telling people, you know, to come out,
- 57:13Speaker 6: you know, come out of the building. Anyway, mispronounced the words,
- 57:17Speaker 6: mistranslated commands. It resulted in just complete gibberish on the
- 57:21Speaker 6: converting it to Spanish part. So more specifically, what he
- 57:25Speaker 6: heard was, Because Salvador, dude, he's just their visiting dog.
- 57:29Speaker 5: He only speaks Spanish. So he didn't know what to do.
- 57:31Speaker 5: He was confused.
- 57:32Speaker 6: Because what he heard translated to, fart, please.
- 57:38Speaker 5: Fart the wood.
- 57:40Speaker 6: And we have a police fart entrance wood.
- 57:43Speaker 5: That's how it. Oh, wow. So you can see where
- 57:46Speaker 5: he's like.
- 57:46Speaker 21: What?
- 57:47Speaker 5: What do I do with that? Wait.
- 57:51Speaker 4: So what's fart in Spanish? Because it's got to be
- 57:53Speaker 4: like perro or perro.
- 57:55Speaker 13: Perro is dog.
- 57:56Speaker 9: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's got to be like fart.
- 57:57Speaker 13: And fart is pedo.
- 57:58Speaker 4: There we go. How did I know?
- 58:01Speaker 13: So there's a pedo, pedo, pedo.
- 58:03Speaker 6: And we have police fart entrance wood. And this other
- 58:08Speaker 6: officer could be heard. The other officer thought he was
- 58:11Speaker 6: saying something else. He really said, you just ordered the
- 58:14Speaker 6: taco plate.
- 58:16Speaker 5: Dude.
- 58:19Speaker 6: So again, there's poor Salvador, man. He's here visiting, doesn't
- 58:22Speaker 6: know what to do. So the police and the canine
- 58:24Speaker 6: stormed inside.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Oh my God.
- 58:26Speaker 6: And they found, they arrested the guy that they wanted.
- 58:29Speaker 6: He was hiding in the basement, but one of the
- 58:30Speaker 6: dogs in the whole process bit poor Salvador on the arm.
- 58:34Speaker 6: And then he was also arrested because he failed to
- 58:36Speaker 6: comply with the police orders.
- 58:37Speaker 7: With farting?
- 58:38Speaker 6: Yeah, because, you know, fart police, fart the wood. We
- 58:42Speaker 6: have a police fart. Entrance wood.
- 58:44Speaker 5: Wow. You just ordered the taco plate.
- 58:46Speaker 9: I thought translators were so much better these days.
- 58:48Speaker 4: Yeah, just use your phone.
- 58:50Speaker 6: Yeah, so he got arrested for failing to comply. Got
- 58:52Speaker 6: bit by the stupid police dog. So the charge, you know,
- 58:56Speaker 6: was later dropped. But this is why it's in court.
- 58:58Speaker 5: Oh, my God. So translation fail.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Fail.
- 59:01Speaker 5: The fart police are here.
- 59:03Speaker 13: We need to get those guys Duolingo or something.
- 59:07Speaker 6: There's your Friday fail stories. We have menace on the scene.
- 59:14Speaker 6: Delivery driver appreciation week.
- 59:17Speaker 14: I think he's here.
- 59:18Speaker 9: Oh, are you kidding me with the timing?
- 59:21Speaker 5: He's here.
- 59:22Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 59:23Speaker 5: The timing on that is crazy.
- 59:24Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah.
- 59:26Speaker 21: Hey, so we're a radio station. We're giving away extra prizes.
- 59:29Speaker 2: To delivery drivers.
- 59:30Speaker 21: It's Delivery Driver Appreciation Week.
- 59:33Speaker 10: You want to come up, we spin a wheel, and.
- 59:34Speaker 5: Then you can win a prize. Gift card.
- 59:36Speaker 21: You want to go down?
- 59:38Speaker 5: Come on down. Come on down. All right.
- 59:41Speaker 15: Awesome.
- 59:42Speaker 1: All right.
- 59:42Speaker 5: We'll see you in a minute. Okay, cool.
- 59:44Speaker 6: Yeah, that was taking forever, man. We kept checking in
- 59:48Speaker 6: with Menace, and he's like, dude, waiting, waiting, waiting. What
- 59:55Speaker 6: was the text, Greg? Somebody had texted over.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Definitely not a fan of this. Delivery Driver Appreciation Week.
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: It says, as a delivery driver myself, you are the
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: kind of customers that I absolutely hate.
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: What, the ones giving you a nice tip and an
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: extra gift card?
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: It's like, why can't you just come out to the
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: street and meet me, you lazy mother effers? Gonna have
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: me walking around the entire block looking for a damn
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: red sign. F you guys. F you guys.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: Okay, well, number one, You're getting a tip. Number two,
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: the reason we want you up here is so we
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: can give you another gift card. Also, number three, maybe
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: this job is not for you. For example, I know
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: I'm not cut out for a job where the customer
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: is always right. Where like no matter what happens, you
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: have to be like super nice to everybody. So I
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: don't have a job like that. If this is an
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: issue for you as a delivery driver where you actually
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: have to bring the delivery to the door of the
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: place that ordered it, maybe delivery driver is not for you.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: Maybe you're a more taxied guy.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: Yeah, drop off and get out.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: Yeah, you never get out. Oh, here's our guy.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: What's up, man?
- 1:01:03Speaker 12: How are you?
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: How are you? Welcome, welcome.
- 1:01:05Speaker 9: Over right here.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: All right. What is your name, sir?
- 1:01:08Speaker 9: My name is Manuel.
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: What is it?
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: Manuel.
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: Manuel.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: Manuel.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Oh, Manuel.
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: Well, hey, thank you for bringing the delivery. How long
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: have you been a delivery driver? How long have you
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: been doing it?
- 1:01:24Speaker 9: Today.
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: No, not just today.
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: How long have you been delivering? Working, delivering food.
- 1:01:31Speaker 9: I am working four years, five years.
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: Well, look, this is just a way to say thank you.
- 1:01:39Speaker 5: You got a tip.
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: The tip is going to be how you normally get it.
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: But we also have a wheel here. We have all
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: these gift cards as a way to say thank you.
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: So you spin the wheel and whichever one it lands on,
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: you get the gift card. So you spin the wheel
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: to the left, like toward you.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:01:54Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: Here we go. Just give the wheel a spin there.
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: Yep.
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: There you go.
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: Just spin it. There we go.
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: There we go. All right.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: Good spin.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: Nice strong spin. There's all kinds of stuff on there.
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: All the gift cards that we've had the entire week.
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: The Target, the Amazon, the Arco gas card, the Visa,
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: the Visa cash card.
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: It's on there.
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: Big money, big money, big money. Big money, no whammies.
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: Awesome. You got the $ 100.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: It's a $ 100 Visa gift card.
- 1:02:36Speaker 9: Okay, thank you so much, guys.
- 1:02:38Speaker 20: Thank you.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: Don't share that with anybody else you know.
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: Awesome.
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: Nice, that's hot, yeah.
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: So, hey, just before you leave, I've been pointing it out.
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: I taped the little receipt to the front in case
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: there's any issue. You'll have the receipt for when we
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: paid for it, and they'll make sure that you have
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: your $ 100.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Enjoy.
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: And thank you so much.
- 1:02:58Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: I mean, we appreciate you. There he is. Dude, a
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: hundred dollars worth it.
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: Nice.
- 1:03:06Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: So yeah, medicine is working out all the, uh, he'll,
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: he'll work out all the, uh, the, the party. See, Yeah,
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: we're the dicks. Yeah, you mother effers. Look how that
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: worked out. Gave him $ 100.
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: Look how that worked out for him. That's great. You're
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: the customers I hate. Yeah, man. You suck. I'm so sorry.
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: So, in Quebec... there was a drone that delivered McDonald's.
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: There was like nuggets, fries, dipping sauce. Oh, and alcohol
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: in this delivery.
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: Yes, please.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: Delivered through the cell window of an inmate in prison.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: Yes, they do this from time to time.
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: And this happened about three o'clock in the morning.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: And yes, he ate it.
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: So one of the guards, I guess, was doing his rounds,
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: saw the inmate was drunk, saw the McDonald's leftovers in
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: his cell. Also, let's note that this went down in
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: the special handling unit, which is supposed to be Canada's
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: most secure prison unit.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: Sounds like it.
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: These are for inmates too dangerous for maximum security.
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: Whoa.
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: That exists?
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: And yet you're able to fly a McDonald's delivery drone.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: And a handle of vodka.
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:04:15Speaker 6: Right in through the window. If the drone can fit through,
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: how can the prisoner not fit out?
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: That's a good question.
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: Right. You know?
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 1:04:23Speaker 6: I mean, maybe it just hovers out there just enough
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: so you can stick your hands out and grab it,
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: I guess.
- 1:04:29Speaker 10: I did see a drone operator just recently.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: He was.
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: Oh, no, they just did an attraction of somebody... just
- 1:04:37Speaker 10: recently in the news, some guy entered Soldier and they
- 1:04:41Speaker 10: were able to pick him up via drone. That's going
- 1:04:44Speaker 10: to be a thing where he can get prisoners out
- 1:04:45Speaker 10: for sure.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: Yeah, that's pretty cool. 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: Send us a text over to 22987. We'll take a
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: quick break. More Woody shows next.
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: Hang on.
- 1:04:54Speaker 18: The Woody Show.
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: We'll be right back.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: Great.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: The Woody, Woody, Woody Show. All right, time to play
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: today's dumbass contest.
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: And today's dumbass contest is the DUIQ.
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: All right, DUIQ time.
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: Seabass, explain the game to everybody, please.
- 1:05:14Speaker 9: I ask a very drunk person very easy questions that
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: every functioning adult knows the answer to. So the game
- 1:05:20Speaker 9: is not answering the questions. The game is to guess
- 1:05:22Speaker 9: whether the person is so drunk that they will or
- 1:05:25Speaker 9: will not be able to answer the questions. So if
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: you can guess whether they get it right two times
- 1:05:28Speaker 9: out of three, you win.
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: All right, that's how you play the DUIQ. We go
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: to the phones to get a contestant.
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: 877-44-Woody. Everybody else just play along wherever you are. Let's
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: go to the phones and say hi to Bobby. Bobby!
- 1:05:43Speaker 9: Bobby! Hey, what are you doing?
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: What's up, man?
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: No.
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: How are you?
- 1:05:47Speaker 9: You, no. Bobby!
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: All right, DUIQ, before we get to the questions that
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: actually count toward winning a prize, Seabass has a little
- 1:05:54Speaker 6: clip here for us that we're going to listen to
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: to get a better idea just how with it or
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: not with it this drunk person is. And who is
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: this drunk person, Seabass?
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: We've got Brian, and I surprisingly found him technically on
- 1:06:06Speaker 9: the clock.
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: Oh, alright.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: You're out here drinking beer, but you said you're supposed
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: to be at work.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:06:11Speaker 20: I do security, but, uh, mostly I do artwork for, uh,
- 1:06:16Speaker 20: for money. Well, the thing is, is that you picked
- 1:06:18Speaker 20: the post that no one actually checked. or comes to
- 1:06:25Speaker 20: visit you. They're usually the solo post where you work alone.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: So now you're going to show back up to work
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: to like clock out?
- 1:06:32Speaker 9: Incredibly drunk.
- 1:06:33Speaker 20: But the best thing is, is that there's no one
- 1:06:36Speaker 20: there to say that I was drunk. That's how you
- 1:06:39Speaker 20: know you got a good post.
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: That's the key to success, right?
- 1:06:42Speaker 9: Amen. So that's life hacks, right? Yeah, get a job
- 1:06:47Speaker 9: in security. I see these, especially in our hours, driving around,
- 1:06:50Speaker 9: and there's just some dude sitting in a booth doing nothing.
- 1:06:54Speaker 10: Yeah, but they had those things now for a long
- 1:06:57Speaker 10: time where there's sensors around the building where they have to.
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: QR code it?
- 1:07:00Speaker 9: Yeah, they have to- Ew.
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: Yeah, they give you a check-in. They give you a smartphone.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: That's so fun.
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: We got to do those old-timey key things. I think
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: we have that on this building. You'll see little QR
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: codes by doors. It's not a QR code.
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: It looks like a little silver button, almost like one
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: of those little button batteries. And I see them walking
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: around taking the fob and kind of touching it to
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: that to check in. All right, so that is Brian. Now, Bobby, again,
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: you just have to guess if Brian's going to get
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: these correct.
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: Yes or no.
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: Two out of three times in order to be the winner.
- 1:07:29Speaker 6: Are you ready for question number one?
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: Yeah, let's do it.
- 1:07:33Speaker 18: All right.
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: D-U-I-Q.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: What famous artist cut off his own ear?
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: Yes for Menace and Sammy. Menace went to art school,
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: kind of.
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: I'm tempted to go triple yes.
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: I'm thinking triple yes.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: Really? I'm tempted, but I'm not going to. Why not?
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: Let's do it.
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: Go crazy.
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: I'm doing it. All right, Greg, keep it crazy. I'm
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: going triple yes. I'll say no for Brian.
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: Yes for both Menace and Sammy, although Menace is still
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: staring at his paper.
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: He's probably drawing. Second guessing.
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: I'm going yes for just the lady, Sammy.
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: All right. So just for Sammy. Yes. And then no
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: for Menace and for Brian. All right. So what do
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: you say, Bobby? Do you think he's going to get it?
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: For Brian, no.
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: Brian.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: All right. Question number one, DUIQ.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: What famous artist cut off his own ear?
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: Menace. Menace.
- 1:08:29Speaker 9: I'm trying to, I'm writing down an extra thing.
- 1:08:31Speaker 10: I'm like, I'm trying to say, does he have, did
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: he have syphilis from a whore and then he went
- 1:08:36Speaker 10: crazy or did he drink absinthe and then he went crazy?
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: That wasn't the question. Who was it?
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: Inconsequential.
- 1:08:41Speaker 10: Yeah, but Galileo.
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: Galileo. The famous artist. Known whore person.
- 1:08:47Speaker 10: Is that the map this time?
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:08:49Speaker 9: I totally forgot who it was.
- 1:08:50Speaker 13: Sorry, I'm blanking.
- 1:08:52Speaker 9: And I, dude, I took art history like crazy.
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: Sounds like it.
- 1:08:55Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:08:56Speaker 10: But I'm blanking right now. And it's like, it's so.
- 1:09:00Speaker 10: obvious and so easy too.
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: Sammy?
- 1:09:03Speaker 9: Picasso.
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: Picasso?
- 1:09:04Speaker 10: No, I know that for sure. It's not Picasso.
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: I mean, Sammy's closer, technically.
- 1:09:10Speaker 9: 100% she is.
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: Why is Picasso so close?
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: Well, because it's an artist.
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: Yeah, not Galileo. Roughly the same.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: What famous artist cut off his own ear?
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: Vincent?
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: Van Gogh. Damn it.
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: Van Gogh.
- 1:09:24Speaker 9: I remember as a kid, everyone was like, oh, it
- 1:09:27Speaker 9: makes him so interesting.
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: No, he's just a stupid psycho.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Yeah, he was obsessed with his girlfriend.
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: Weird.
- 1:09:31Speaker 9: Was it the chick that he cut his ear off for?
- 1:09:34Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:09:35Speaker 9: That's the chick thing is like the cute romantic version. Oh,
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: there's another version? Oh, yeah. According to his own Vincent
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: Van Gogh Museum, intense emotional distress, declining health, a bitter
- 1:09:47Speaker 9: argument with fellow artist Paul Gauguin.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: And bitches.
- 1:09:50Speaker 9: Yeah, I thought he was schizophrenic.
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: Yeah, that too. And mental health. He's an epic maniac.
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: He's not a genius. All right. All right.
- 1:09:56Speaker 6: So Bobby said that he would not get this one right.
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: Let's see if you have your first point here on
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: this round of the DUI.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: What famous artist cut off his own ear?
- 1:10:05Speaker 9: Beethoven? Shout out to Beethoven, even though he can't hear.
- 1:10:08Speaker 9: That's legit, like, you know.
- 1:10:11Speaker 20: Dedication for whoever he did that to.
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: Oh, my God. I said triple yes. You want to
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: be my latex salesman. Oh, God. That's not a bad.
- 1:10:20Speaker 9: That's technically kind of a good guess because Beethoven, of course,
- 1:10:23Speaker 9: went deep very early. Yeah.
- 1:10:25Speaker 12: He's not an artist.
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: Well, you got a point here, Bobby. You're in good
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: shape going into question number two.
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: DUIQ.
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: Café du Monde is most famous for what menu item?
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: Triple no. I'm sure Menace has been to this place.
- 1:10:39Speaker 9: It's so touristy. Café du Monde is most famous for.
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: What menu item? He must have gone to this place.
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: He has.
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: We've been there. I must say.
- 1:10:48Speaker 6: He and I have been there. You out there.
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: I've been to this place with Menace.
- 1:10:53Speaker 9: If there's a tourist trap in a city, Menace has
- 1:10:55Speaker 9: been there. That's the one.
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: We've been there, Menace.
- 1:10:58Speaker 8: Café du Monde is most famous for what menu item?
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: I'm going to say, even with that, no to Menace.
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: Really?
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: No to Sammy by the look on her face. I'll
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: say yes to no.
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: No.
- 1:11:10Speaker 6: No.
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: Triple no. Triple no. What am I thinking? I don't know.
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: Triple no.
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: You're saying triple no? Everybody's saying triple no? All right, Bobby,
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: what do you think? Yes or no?
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: I'm going to say no for Brian, but if Menace
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: gets it, I want to see his spelling of it. Oh,
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: that's a good question. Yeah, okay. Good request. All right,
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: question number two, DUIQ.
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: Café du Monde is most famous for what menu item?
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Menace.
- 1:11:33Speaker 10: It's powdered sugar baguettes.
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: Powdered sugar baguettes.
- 1:11:38Speaker 10: I guess I got it wrong because of genius.
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: Sigh.
- 1:11:42Speaker 10: Yeah, gave it away.
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: Sammy.
- 1:11:44Speaker 12: Croissants.
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: Croissants.
- 1:11:46Speaker 9: You were just so close.
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: Not bad guesses.
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: No, Menace was so close.
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: I mean, it begins with a B.
- 1:11:51Speaker 9: How do you spell baguette, by the way?
- 1:11:53Speaker 10: Baguette's a B-A-G-E-T-S.
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: Oh, beignet.
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: There you go. You remember going there, Menace?
- 1:12:00Speaker 9: Yeah, I've been there, and then I've had the Disney
- 1:12:02Speaker 9: version a hundred times.
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: And they have the chicory coffee, right? That's like a very.
- 1:12:06Speaker 9: If he had said coffee, I might have given him...
- 1:12:09Speaker 9: I would have still pushed harder, but.
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:12:11Speaker 11: I just realized where we're talking about. I have their
- 1:12:13Speaker 11: coffee in my kitchen right now.
- 1:12:15Speaker 12: And I have the beignet mix.
- 1:12:17Speaker 20: Oh, my God.
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: What do you mean you realized the place? They said
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: the name of the place.
- 1:12:21Speaker 8: Café Du Monde is most famous for what menu item?
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: Café Du Monde.
- 1:12:26Speaker 12: I haven't heard it said out loud. I just see it.
- 1:12:28Speaker 9: And I sort of anglicized it pretty hard there just
- 1:12:31Speaker 9: to be extra clear about what I was talking about.
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: I was like, Café Du Monde. You whited it up? Intentionally, yes.
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: All right, so Bobby says that our drunk friend will
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: not get this one right, and if that is the
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: way it works out, he'll be the winner of this
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: round of the DUIQ.
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: Café Du Monde is most famous for what menu item?
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: An ice cream?
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: Sherbert?
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: Ice cream.
- 1:12:51Speaker 9: Okay, well.
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: There you go, Bobby. Quick and easy work with that one.
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: You are the winner here on the DUIQ.
- 1:13:00Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:13:01Speaker 9: They do have a coffee ice cream, Greg and Menace.
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: And Woody. Bobby, hang on one second, man. We'll get
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: all your information. There he is. Bobby, everybody. We love you,
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: Woody Show. In fact, beignet is French for bump or lump.
- 1:13:17Speaker 5: Let me get a fried lump. Yeah. You know what?
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: That is fun.
- 1:13:21Speaker 10: And I've been to all these places, not because, oh,
- 1:13:24Speaker 10: I think I'm too cool, so I'm not going to
- 1:13:26Speaker 10: go travel somewhere and not go to the spot. Because
- 1:13:29Speaker 10: it's a quote-unquote tourist trap.
- 1:13:32Speaker 9: You still hit me on that one.
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: Yeah. But I didn't read nothing.
- 1:13:35Speaker 9: That's for damn sure.
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: All right. Question number three.
- 1:13:38Speaker 5: Question number three. D-U-I-Q.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Who founded the Church of Scientology?
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: Oh. Oh.
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: Oh, I know this.
- 1:13:46Speaker 6: I only remember it from the commercial. Back in the day,
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: like old school, like when I was a kid commercial.
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: There was a big volcano in the commercial.
- 1:13:56Speaker 9: Oh, double hint.
- 1:13:57Speaker 10: Triple hint.
- 1:13:59Speaker 9: I'll give you a triple hint. The volcano is also
- 1:14:00Speaker 9: on the cover of the book.
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: They love volcanoes.
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: What do you mean by they?
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: Who founded the Church of Scientology?
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: Who founded the Church of Scientology? By they, I mean
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: you people.
- 1:14:11Speaker 6: I'm going to say, again, no for Brian. Yes for
- 1:14:17Speaker 6: Sammy and then no for Menace.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: I agree with that one. Only yes to Sammy. So
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: you better get this.
- 1:14:24Speaker 9: My brain chambers have not been open this morning.
- 1:14:27Speaker 6: Your brain chambers have not been open this morning.
- 1:14:30Speaker 9: Somebody texted in that they predicted that Menace and Sammy
- 1:14:33Speaker 9: would sweep today. I knew the answer.
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: Open your chambers.
- 1:14:38Speaker 9: The chambers aren't open.
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: Alright, so question number three. D-U-I-Q.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: Who founded the Church of Scientology?
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: Menace, I'm sticking with you. All right. It's L.
- 1:14:50Speaker 9: Ron Hubbard.
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: Oh, maybe the brain chamber is open. What did you say, Sammy?
- 1:14:56Speaker 12: Tom Cruise.
- 1:14:57Speaker 9: Tom Cruise.
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: Sammy!
- 1:14:59Speaker 11: I just knew I didn't know the answer, so I
- 1:15:01Speaker 11: wrote it down really fast and then sat here commenting.
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: Dianetics by L.
- 1:15:03Speaker 9: Ron Hubbard.
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: And I always thought his name was L. Ron.
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 1:15:07Speaker 10: Dude, do they still have the boat?
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: I just remember those commercials.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's still sales.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: Does it?
- 1:15:12Speaker 9: Oh, really?
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:14Speaker 10: Yeah, we should give away cruises.
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: That would be cool. First name, speaking of beignets, Lafayette. Lafayette.
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: Lafayette Ronald Hubbard.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: That's a name.
- 1:15:22Speaker 9: Nice. I've been there. Lafayette.
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: All right, question number three, DUIQ.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Who founded the Church of Scientology?
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: It was a.
- 1:15:30Speaker 9: Famous actor, Tom Cruise.
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:15:33Speaker 20: They seem legit if you're looking for something to believe in.
- 1:15:37Speaker 9: There's no real right answer.
- 1:15:39Speaker 10: Dude, Sammy, she should get a point for that.
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: Half a point.
- 1:15:42Speaker 9: You people are idiots. Security guards that drink on the job,
- 1:15:48Speaker 9: it's the demo of Scientology people.
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: They're going to get you.
- 1:15:50Speaker 9: People with no real purpose in life, looking for something
- 1:15:54Speaker 9: to do.
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: Scientologists love them.
- 1:15:56Speaker 6: I just remember they were on the street corners asking
- 1:15:59Speaker 6: me if I want to find out how clear I was.
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: And I got to hold that. The metal cylinder thing?
- 1:16:05Speaker 6: Yeah, I was supposed to hold. I never did it,
- 1:16:07Speaker 6: but they were really trying to talk me into it.
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: I wanted to do it.
- 1:16:09Speaker 9: To see how clear you were.
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: Or how stressed.
- 1:16:13Speaker 10: They said I wasn't clear.
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: We got some dad jokes coming up. We'll encourage you
- 1:16:22Speaker 6: to call in with your dad jokes.
- 1:16:25Speaker 5: 877-44-WOODY. Always fun.
- 1:16:28Speaker 9: Love it.
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: Depending on who you ask, right, CBass? You know what?
- 1:16:31Speaker 9: It gets better every time.
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: Every time. I thought this was weird. I don't know
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: how this could be true.
- 1:16:38Speaker 6: Let's see if you can figure it out. Looking at
- 1:16:40Speaker 6: the most streamed rock and metal artists of all time
- 1:16:43Speaker 6: on Spotify. Linkin Park is at number one.
- 1:16:47Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:16:48Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 1:16:49Speaker 6: They have a five billion stream lead over number two
- 1:16:54Speaker 6: on the list.
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: Which is.
- 1:16:56Speaker 9: I'd say Guns N' Roses.
- 1:16:58Speaker 5: I would say Metallica? Queen.
- 1:17:01Speaker 6: Queen at number two. All right, so Linkin Park, Queen
- 1:17:06Speaker 6: at number two. The Beatles are fourth. Metallica, you mentioned,
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: is seventh. Rolling Stones are like number 18. Who do
- 1:17:15Speaker 6: you think is third on the list, though? So if
- 1:17:17Speaker 6: Linkin Park is one... Queen is two. Beatles are fourth.
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: Who would fit nicely under that number three spot? And
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: I already told you, Metallica, Rolling Stones, they're off the table.
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: Is it going to be something like Elvis?
- 1:17:31Speaker 5: Or U2? Elton John. Paramore?
- 1:17:34Speaker 9: Yeah, like Elton John.
- 1:17:38Speaker 10: Who else in that realm? I would think like a
- 1:17:41Speaker 10: Warped Tour type band. It can't be too old because
- 1:17:44Speaker 10: old people don't use Spotify.
- 1:17:45Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: Arctic Monkeys.
- 1:17:48Speaker 8: Oh, really?
- 1:17:48Speaker 5: What?
- 1:17:49Speaker 9: Really?
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: No, I don't dislike Arctic Monkeys.
- 1:17:51Speaker 10: Is this worldwide streams?
- 1:17:53Speaker 5: Yeah, Spotify. Just overall Spotify.
- 1:17:55Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:17:56Speaker 5: Okay. What?
- 1:17:57Speaker 9: Strange.
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: Trillion years. That's so weird.
- 1:17:59Speaker 6: It's like when I see the Tame Impala glaze. That's
- 1:18:02Speaker 6: where those things, yeah. Where it's like, okay, they're playing
- 1:18:05Speaker 6: these big, big things, big stages. And okay, Tame Impala, fine.
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: But like, I wouldn't, like Arctic Monkeys, fine. I wouldn't,
- 1:18:14Speaker 6: I wouldn't ever think Number three, sandwiched between Queen and
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: The Beatles.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: You could have given me another week. I wouldn't have
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: come up with that.
- 1:18:22Speaker 5: Right? Give me another lifetime.
- 1:18:24Speaker 10: They've been around for a long time.
- 1:18:25Speaker 9: It might have been big on streaming before they hit big.
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:29Speaker 10: Kind of like, I don't know. Remember Tove Lo?
- 1:18:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I do.
- 1:18:32Speaker 10: She got like, it was like two billion streams before
- 1:18:36Speaker 10: she even got on the radio.
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: And Woody, is it just me or do you kind
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: of conflate the two? tame impala and cage the elephant
- 1:18:44Speaker 5: like i think they're kind of legally the same. No way. No? No.
- 1:18:48Speaker 5: I always think they're the same.
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: No, I don't. Hey, Greg, you know what song I
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: thought about because we both hated it so much?
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: Which?
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: I don't know why it popped in my head the
- 1:18:57Speaker 6: other day. I'm like, oh, I hadn't thought about that
- 1:18:59Speaker 6: song in years. Greg and I.
- 1:19:02Speaker 5: Hated this song so much. Which one? I got guns
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: in my head.
- 1:19:06Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: Remember this stupid song?
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: This had a major social media resurgence.
- 1:19:14Speaker 5: I even hated the name of the band, Strumbellas.
- 1:19:17Speaker 6: That's what they're called?
- 1:19:18Speaker 5: Yeah, so fruity.
- 1:19:20Speaker 9: This was so stupid.
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: Imagine you're a man. You tell everybody, hey, you're in
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: a band. Cool, dude. What's the name of your band? Strumbello.
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: What's your biggest hit? Oh, you know that song? You've
- 1:19:29Speaker 5: heard it.
- 1:19:29Speaker 9: I got guns in my head and I won't go.
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: And then next thing you know, your lunch money's gone.
- 1:19:35Speaker 9: Can we coin a term for that style of quote rock?
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: There was something. I saw something recently. Is it Queefrock?
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: I think that's accurate.
- 1:19:43Speaker 9: Because it's Weefrock hipster stuff that's like alternative, I guess.
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: The big social media thing was showing like somebody how
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: they look now at a reunion and then showing their
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: yearbook picture.
- 1:19:54Speaker 6: By the way, there's a lot of that stuff. There's
- 1:19:57Speaker 6: a lot of that stuff that I didn't mind certain
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: songs here and there.
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: But man, that... name in that.
- 1:20:05Speaker 6: Song yeah here's one there was a meme i saw
- 1:20:07Speaker 6: it said life is tough but at least we're not
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: living in the stomp clap hey era anymore it was
- 1:20:13Speaker 6: a it was a hipster guy looks like he works
- 1:20:14Speaker 6: at a modern barbershop or a place that sells you
- 1:20:16Speaker 6: a burger for 50 bucks it was a very specific
- 1:20:18Speaker 6: era with a banjo intentionally folksy i'm glad we're not
- 1:20:21Speaker 6: in the stomp clap hey era anymore.
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: Big chorusy yeah that's awesome amen i got guns in
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: my head and they won't go Another telltale sign that
- 1:20:33Speaker 5: there's a band that Woody would hate if there's like
- 1:20:36Speaker 5: 25 people in the band. The worst. You know that.
- 1:20:39Speaker 9: Big chorus he sang when they sing the effing.
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: Some of the stuff, again, it's not just as a
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: blanket statement thing, but man, that song popped in my
- 1:20:48Speaker 6: head and I thought about... Greg, I thought about you immediately.
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: That's so nice. You know who I love? I love it.
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: I would love to have him as a guest on
- 1:20:56Speaker 6: this show at some point.
- 1:20:56Speaker 5: Jimmy Carr. Oh, he's the best. Do you like Jimmy Carr, Seabass?
- 1:21:01Speaker 5: He seems like the kind of.
- 1:21:01Speaker 9: Guy that you would- I saw him live in Manchester,
- 1:21:03Speaker 9: England about 15 years ago.
- 1:21:05Speaker 5: He seems like your kind of comedian. Yeah, no, he's.
- 1:21:09Speaker 9: Done a ton of stuff in the US, but even
- 1:21:12Speaker 9: more stuff. He's on every single UK comedy show. He's
- 1:21:14Speaker 9: hosted a thousand things over there.
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: Yeah, he's a comedian. He's always in a suit.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:21:19Speaker 5: Very proper gentleman.
- 1:21:21Speaker 9: Talk to someone about hair plugs, he's your man. He's
- 1:21:23Speaker 9: smarter than you.
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: But yeah, I love when he's just talking to the
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: crowd and the crowd throws something. His crowd work is,
- 1:21:30Speaker 6: I think, unbeatable.
- 1:21:31Speaker 9: Yeah, that was, again, even 15 years ago, that was
- 1:21:34Speaker 9: his challenge to the crowd.
- 1:21:35Speaker 5: Like, I'll take your heckles now, please. Yeah, he's great.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: He takes their texts. Like, he'll put up a big
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: screen and show their texts on the screen. Yeah.
- 1:21:43Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:21:43Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:21:43Speaker 6: So this is Jimmy Carr. I don't know how anybody
- 1:21:46Speaker 6: doesn't like Jimmy Carr, but he got a question, of course,
- 1:21:48Speaker 6: from the crowd about the whole Shane Gillis thing. And
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: here's what he said.
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: Shane Gillis, if that's what passes this controversy, great. The
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: weird thing about that is I say worse things than
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: that every day. And also, I think intent is much
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: more important than content. Shane is very clearly a lovely man,
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: and he's trying to make people laugh. That's a joyful thing.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: Look at the intent, not the content. Don't take it
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: out of context. He's a great f * * *
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: ing guy.
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: Great guy, great comic.
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: I think, though, the controversy probably means that you won't
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: be able to go to the gym for a while.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: I don't think that's going to be a massive.
- 1:22:41Speaker 5: Problem for him, lifestyle-wise.
- 1:22:45Speaker 6: I love that. Dude, Jimmy Carr is so funny. I
- 1:22:49Speaker 6: do get mixed up sometimes with Jim Jefferies.
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: The Australian guy. I do like Jim Jefferies, too.
- 1:22:54Speaker 9: I was behind Jim Jefferies in line to get Christopher
- 1:22:57Speaker 9: Lloyd's autograph. Whoa, lucky.
- 1:22:59Speaker 5: He's celebrities. They're just like us.
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: All right, we're going to take a quick break, and
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: then we'll come back, and we've got dad jokes on
- 1:23:05Speaker 6: the schedule.
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:23:07Speaker 6: All right, so dad jokes next. If you've got a
- 1:23:09Speaker 6: good one for us, give us a call, 877-44-WOODY. That's 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:23:15Speaker 6: Just dumb, simple, one-liner dad jokes.
- 1:23:17Speaker 5: That's it. Nothing fancy. The Woody Show. Issue with my
- 1:23:26Speaker 5: headphones here.
- 1:23:26Speaker 17: Hold on.
- 1:23:27Speaker 9: They're all crooked. How do you bump it?
- 1:23:30Speaker 5: Maybe the wire. Yeah, there's a wire that got cut.
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: There we go. All right. Who's ready for some dad jokes?
- 1:23:40Speaker 9: Hell yeah. 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:23:41Speaker 5: That's 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:23:41Speaker 18: All right.
- 1:23:42Speaker 5: And we'll go right to the phones. And everybody say
- 1:23:53Speaker 5: hi to Carlos. Hey, Carlos.
- 1:23:55Speaker 20: Hey, what's up?
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: What do you show?
- 1:23:57Speaker 5: What's up, man? What's your dad joke? Yeah, what do
- 1:24:00Speaker 5: you call a hippie's wife? What do you call a
- 1:24:03Speaker 5: hippie wife? What?
- 1:24:05Speaker 14: A hippie's wife is Mrs.
- 1:24:07Speaker 21: Hippie.
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: It sounds like Mississippi, guys.
- 1:24:12Speaker 9: It totally does.
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: All right, Carlos, thanks for the call, Carlos. Appreciate you.
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 1:24:17Speaker 9: Bye.
- 1:24:18Speaker 5: Bye-bye.
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: All right, you're welcome.
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: Let's go to, let's see here. Roy is up next. Roy,
- 1:24:25Speaker 5: what's your dad joke?
- 1:24:26Speaker 21: Okay, so police are investigating a shooting at a track meet.
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: They are?
- 1:24:32Speaker 21: The guy was shot with a starting gun and beaten
- 1:24:35Speaker 21: with a race baton. Police actually believe it's race related.
- 1:24:39Speaker 5: Oh! Oh! All right. Track and field, Josie.
- 1:24:46Speaker 9: Strong, right, Seabass? Guys, you can't put the pun in
- 1:24:48Speaker 9: the setup if you're going to use it in a punchline.
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: Oh, come on.
- 1:24:51Speaker 9: Hey, Roy.
- 1:24:52Speaker 5: Roy, thanks for the call, man. Appreciate you.
- 1:24:55Speaker 18: Bye.
- 1:24:56Speaker 5: All right, Seabass, show us how it's done then. All right.
- 1:24:59Speaker 9: From Truly Tasteless Jokes, great book. How can you tell
- 1:25:02Speaker 9: when a Polish woman's not wearing any underwear?
- 1:25:05Speaker 6: How can you tell when a Polish woman is not
- 1:25:07Speaker 6: wearing any underwear?
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: How?
- 1:25:09Speaker 9: By the dandruff on her shoes. Because I guess they're gross.
- 1:25:16Speaker 9: Not stupid, not gross. What was up with all the
- 1:25:18Speaker 9: Polish jokes in the 80s? That was hot.
- 1:25:20Speaker 5: Those were big. You can tell that?
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: Dude, my wife is really mad at the fact that
- 1:25:25Speaker 6: I have no sense of direction.
- 1:25:26Speaker 9: Oh, yeah?
- 1:25:27Speaker 5: So I packed up my stuff and write.
- 1:25:31Speaker 9: Speaking of direction, check this out. Why did the ram
- 1:25:36Speaker 9: run off the cliff?
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: Why did the ram run off the cliff, Menace?
- 1:25:40Speaker 9: It didn't see the E turn.
- 1:25:42Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:25:43Speaker 9: Did I say that right?
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: No, the U-turn.
- 1:25:46Speaker 9: E-W-E.
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: Oh, my God. Oh, the E-turn. You just made it
- 1:25:52Speaker 5: way better.
- 1:25:53Speaker 9: Yeah, that's a menace joke. Not a dad joke. I
- 1:25:56Speaker 9: punched it up.
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: Sure did. Totally punched it up.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: I'm curious what you thought it meant, because I don't
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: know what an E-turn is.
- 1:26:01Speaker 9: Why'd you pick that joke? Because of the direction.
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: What's an E-turn?
- 1:26:07Speaker 9: An E-turn?
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: Yeah, what would an E-turn be? If it was an E-turn.
- 1:26:12Speaker 9: E-turn would be left.
- 1:26:15Speaker 5: Why? Where did that turn come from? E-turn.
- 1:26:19Speaker 10: You haven't heard about E-turn?
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: You have?
- 1:26:22Speaker 10: You're just not up on it.
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: It's been a thing, Woody. It's been a thing for
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: like a year.
- 1:26:27Speaker 9: Everybody knows about E-turn, dog.
- 1:26:29Speaker 14: Come on.
- 1:26:30Speaker 9: You're sleeping on it.
- 1:26:31Speaker 5: I'm sleeping.
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: How did the hipster burn his tongue?
- 1:26:36Speaker 21: How?
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: He drank his coffee before it was cool.
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: Let's say hi to Dan. I don't know how you're
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: going to top that E-turn.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: I know, right? Hey, good morning, guys.
- 1:26:50Speaker 5: Why did the Avon lady walk funny? Why did the
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: Avon lady walk funny?
- 1:26:54Speaker 20: Why?
- 1:26:56Speaker 5: Because her lipstick. All right. Let's say hi to Gil.
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: What's good, Gil?
- 1:27:05Speaker 21: Hey, how's it going?
- 1:27:05Speaker 14: Here's a quickie.
- 1:27:07Speaker 21: My buddy Tony got mad at me and said, stop
- 1:27:11Speaker 21: saying my name backwards.
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: I looked at him and said, why not? Did you
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: get that one, Menace? Nope. You don't?
- 1:27:22Speaker 9: No, I didn't get it.
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: All right, Guild, let's try it again. One more time.
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: Go ahead. My buddy Tony got mad at me and said,
- 1:27:29Speaker 5: stop saying my name backwards.
- 1:27:32Speaker 7: And I looked at him and said, why not?
- 1:27:35Speaker 5: Why not? Tony backwards.
- 1:27:37Speaker 18: Why not?
- 1:27:38Speaker 5: Oh, I get it.
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:27:42Speaker 9: Thanks, man.
- 1:27:43Speaker 5: I appreciate you. Thank you for listening. Let's say hi.
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: Let's say hi to Martha. Hey, Martha. Hey.
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: Hey.
- 1:27:51Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: Dad joke. What do you got?
- 1:27:54Speaker 21: Why couldn't the kids get into the pirate movie?
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: Why couldn't the kids get into the pirate movie?
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: Why, Martha? Because it was rated R. You used to
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: work at a pirate store. Dude, I did.
- 1:28:05Speaker 10: Shout out to Hidden Blunder.
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: All right, you want to try another one, Menace?
- 1:28:08Speaker 9: Yeah, let's try this. Why did the toilet toll cross
- 1:28:14Speaker 9: the road?
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: Why did the what? Toilet toll? Sorry.
- 1:28:17Speaker 9: Why did the toilet roll across the road?
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: Why did the toilet.
- 1:28:21Speaker 9: Wait.
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: What's a toilet roll?
- 1:28:23Speaker 9: A toilet roll.
- 1:28:23Speaker 5: Oh, wait, why?
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: Oh, toilet paper.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:28:25Speaker 5: You didn't say paper.
- 1:28:27Speaker 10: I said, why did the toilet roll across the road?
- 1:28:29Speaker 5: Well, you said paper first. Oh, why did the toilet
- 1:28:32Speaker 5: roll across the road? Oh, is that it? So the
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: toilet itself rolled across the road? Or the roll of
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: toilet paper? We'll figure it out when we know.
- 1:28:41Speaker 9: Why.
- 1:28:41Speaker 10: I'll set it up differently.
- 1:28:42Speaker 5: How about this one?
- 1:28:43Speaker 10: Why didn't the toilet roll across the road?
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: Why didn't the toilet roll across the road?
- 1:28:50Speaker 9: We'll do it that way. Because he got stuck in
- 1:28:53Speaker 9: the crack.
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: What website are you getting this from?
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: Are these just like off the top?
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: Is this another E-turn?
- 1:29:05Speaker 9: Here, here, here. Greg, here. I wrote it down for you.
- 1:29:08Speaker 10: What's it say?
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: Oh, are you transcribing? Why didn't the toilet roll across
- 1:29:14Speaker 5: the road? Because he got stuck in the crack.
- 1:29:18Speaker 7: What?
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: Maybe copy and paste.
- 1:29:20Speaker 10: It's called the thinker.
- 1:29:21Speaker 9: Maybe why didn't the toilet paper roll across the road?
- 1:29:23Speaker 9: Because he got stuck in the crack.
- 1:29:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:29:25Speaker 9: Okay. Well, think about it.
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: Brian.
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: Brian. All that delay getting Brian.
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:29:32Speaker 21: So there's a guy, there's a guy with two left
- 1:29:36Speaker 21: feet and he walks into his shoe store and he says, Hey,
- 1:29:39Speaker 21: do you guys sell any flip flips?
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: All right, Mario, you're up next. Dad jokes. What do
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: you got for us? Why was Cinderella bad at soccer?
- 1:29:53Speaker 5: All right, there he is. There's Mario, everybody.
- 1:29:55Speaker 8: Hey!
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: All right, Mario, one more time. Why was... Cinderella so
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: bad at soccer. Why was Cinderella so bad at soccer? Why?
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: She kept running away from the ball. Okay.
- 1:30:09Speaker 9: By the way, just to say, why didn't the toilet
- 1:30:10Speaker 9: paper cross the road that way?
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: Did you find it? Yeah, I found out how it's
- 1:30:14Speaker 5: supposed to be set up. All right, so how's it go?
- 1:30:16Speaker 9: Why didn't the toilet paper cross the road?
- 1:30:18Speaker 5: Why? Because it was stuck in the crack.
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: Oh!
- 1:30:20Speaker 9: That way you get rid of roll, you get rid
- 1:30:22Speaker 9: of the actual toilet itself.
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: Interesting.
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: I'll consider that. Seabass, what else did you find over there?
- 1:30:30Speaker 10: Hey, do you know why Polish women can't use vibrators?
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: Why? They can't?
- 1:30:34Speaker 9: No, they chip their teeth.
- 1:30:35Speaker 5: I get it. Woody, what's the difference between a tire
- 1:30:37Speaker 5: and 365 used condoms? What's the difference between a tire
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: and 365 used condoms? Condoms.
- 1:30:50Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: What, Greg? One is a good year and one is
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: a great year.
- 1:30:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:30:54Speaker 5: Get that one. All right, Menace. Try it again.
- 1:30:57Speaker 9: All right. What's brown and sticky? What's brown and sticky?
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: He's going. See, that's the thing. You got to go
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: back to the basics. Let's tell us.
- 1:31:10Speaker 9: A stick.
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: Oh!
- 1:31:11Speaker 9: A stick.
- 1:31:14Speaker 21: A stick.
- 1:31:15Speaker 9: That one's so old that I made a parody of
- 1:31:16Speaker 9: that one. What's brown and sticky?
- 1:31:18Speaker 17: What?
- 1:31:18Speaker 10: My dildo.
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: I'm kidding.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Eww.
- 1:31:22Speaker 5: Nice.
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: Hey, what do sprinters eat before they race?
- 1:31:27Speaker 5: What's that?
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: Nothing. They fast.
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: Why are cats bad storytellers? Why? Because they only have
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: one tail.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: Eww.
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: What comes after 69? What's that? Mouthwash.
- 1:31:41Speaker 9: I get it.
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: Sammy.
- 1:31:43Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:31:44Speaker 5: Oh, boy.
- 1:31:46Speaker 12: What do you call a person who never farts in public?
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: Not Sammy.
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: What do you call a person who never farts in public?
- 1:31:51Speaker 3: What?
- 1:31:52Speaker 12: A private tutor.
- 1:31:53Speaker 5: Get it. Oh! All right, menace.
- 1:31:57Speaker 9: All right. All right. Why should you never date a banker?
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: Why?
- 1:32:05Speaker 9: I've been told they're too kinky.
- 1:32:09Speaker 7: What?
- 1:32:11Speaker 5: What? Why should you never date a baker?
- 1:32:14Speaker 6: What's happening today?
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: You're usually not this bad.
- 1:32:18Speaker 9: I have been told they are kinky. Too kinky.
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: What does that mean?
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: Show Greg the.
- 1:32:26Speaker 9: There's probably a word that's messed up here.
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: Why should you never date a baker?
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: A baker, baby?
- 1:32:32Speaker 7: A baker.
- 1:32:33Speaker 9: But kinky doesn't make sense.
- 1:32:34Speaker 5: I have been... They're too... Oh, my God. I get it.
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: Why should you never date a baker? I have been
- 1:32:40Speaker 5: told they're too needy.
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: A banker?
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: Oh, reading sucks. Oh, dude, reading sucks.
- 1:32:49Speaker 9: Those are tough words.
- 1:32:51Speaker 5: Yeah, we got to do an E-turn here. Look up
- 1:32:54Speaker 5: an E-turn.
- 1:32:54Speaker 9: It's a mathematical term about being an exit.
- 1:32:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:32:58Speaker 9: It's high-level thinking, Abel. Virginia.
- 1:33:02Speaker 5: Virginia, hi. What's your dad joke?
- 1:33:06Speaker 7: What do you call a cow with no legs?
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: What do you call a cow with no legs?
- 1:33:10Speaker 9: Sparky? Ground beef.
- 1:33:15Speaker 5: Thank you, Virginia. Let's see how Luis. Luis, you are
- 1:33:21Speaker 5: next up. Let's see here. Luis, what's your dad joke?
- 1:33:25Speaker 21: What do you call a dwarf cow?
- 1:33:27Speaker 5: What do you call a dwarf cow?
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: What?
- 1:33:31Speaker 13: Condensed milk.
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: How about this? Why should you never date a banker?
- 1:33:36Speaker 5: Why should you never date a banker? Why? Because they'll
- 1:33:39Speaker 5: lose interest as soon as they make their withdrawal.
- 1:33:41Speaker 9: That's a good one.
- 1:33:43Speaker 7: Menace?
- 1:33:45Speaker 5: One more chance at redemption.
- 1:33:49Speaker 9: I started arguing with my son in the elevator.
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: You did? Yeah.
- 1:33:54Speaker 10: Turns out I was wrong on all levels.
- 1:34:00Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:34:02Speaker 9: That's a good one. It would be hilarious if I
- 1:34:04Speaker 9: had a song.
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: There's your dab jokes.
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: That is too kinky.
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:34:08Speaker 9: Thank you, Menace.
- 1:34:09Speaker 5: That was amazing. Hey. I really truly enjoyed that. I
- 1:34:12Speaker 5: really did. I'm here for you. All right. We're going
- 1:34:15Speaker 5: to take a quick break. More Woody Show next.
- 1:34:16Speaker 9: Hang on. Wake up.
- 1:34:17Speaker 5: Wake up.
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: I didn't hear it the first time.
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: The Woody Show will be right back.
- 1:34:27Speaker 5: The Woody Show.
- 1:34:29Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, I'm a big sucker for fun facts.
- 1:34:33Speaker 6: I was like, oh, wow, neat. And we were mentioned
- 1:34:38Speaker 6: something about it here recently about like it was it
- 1:34:41Speaker 6: was the origin of some popular phrase.
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: I forget. Probably like which one it was. God bless
- 1:34:47Speaker 5: you or something.
- 1:34:48Speaker 6: No, I think we out here because it was like
- 1:34:51Speaker 6: one of those like like flesh out.
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:34:54Speaker 6: Oh, let's break a leg. Oh, break a leg was one.
- 1:34:59Speaker 6: There was also like the cut to the chase, you know.
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: So anyway, Sammy found this thing, origin of common phrases.
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: Everybody loves a good origin story.
- 1:35:08Speaker 5: I love these.
- 1:35:09Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:35:10Speaker 12: So do you guys want to play a game?
- 1:35:11Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:35:12Speaker 11: And I can say the phrase and then you guys
- 1:35:13Speaker 11: can guess what the origin of it is.
- 1:35:15Speaker 5: Maybe it came from.
- 1:35:16Speaker 20: Yes.
- 1:35:17Speaker 6: Now, Seabass, you can't be doing your whole Google thing.
- 1:35:19Speaker 5: I would never.
- 1:35:20Speaker 6: And then pretend to know like, oh, everybody knew that.
- 1:35:22Speaker 5: It never happens. No.
- 1:35:25Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:35:26Speaker 12: So the first one, bite the bullet. So did it
- 1:35:29Speaker 12: come from.
- 1:35:30Speaker 5: I think I know this one.
- 1:35:30Speaker 7: Oh, really?
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I think so too. I think I might.
- 1:35:32Speaker 12: Did you guys want to just say it or do
- 1:35:33Speaker 12: you want me.
- 1:35:34Speaker 9: To name things?
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: What do you think it is?
- 1:35:35Speaker 9: Is it not.
- 1:35:35Speaker 6: It's from like old timey war where they were doing
- 1:35:39Speaker 6: a surgical procedure out in the field. And so like
- 1:35:43Speaker 6: there was no like pain medication or whatever. So they
- 1:35:46Speaker 6: bite a bullet.
- 1:35:47Speaker 5: Or a strap. To try to grit through the pain
- 1:35:52Speaker 5: of what they were doing.
- 1:35:53Speaker 6: Were they using hacksaws and stuff to amputate.
- 1:35:55Speaker 5: Legs and things? Pour alcohol on it.
- 1:35:56Speaker 12: Yeah, you are correct.
- 1:35:57Speaker 10: It was before modern anesthesia.
- 1:35:58Speaker 12: They bit down on bullets.
- 1:35:59Speaker 5: Was that World War XI? Or even before that, like
- 1:36:02Speaker 5: Civil War, right?
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: I think it was World War L.
- 1:36:04Speaker 10: I thought it came from people that did magic, you know,
- 1:36:07Speaker 10: when they catch a bullet in their mouth.
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: Yeah, Penn and Teller.
- 1:36:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:36:10Speaker 5: So that's right?
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:36:12Speaker 5: You are correct.
- 1:36:13Speaker 9: Ding.
- 1:36:14Speaker 12: Okay, the next one. Steal someone's thunder.
- 1:36:17Speaker 4: Oh, I heard about this one.
- 1:36:21Speaker 9: Is it from Days of Thunder?
- 1:36:22Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: It's from the thunder noise they would make during a play.
- 1:36:28Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. Before they would applaud, they would make thunder noises. What? Yeah.
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: Are we on to something here?
- 1:36:33Speaker 12: You're close, but you're not there.
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: How do you make thunder noises?
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: With a metal sheet.
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: Or they would stomp on the floor, I think, right?
- 1:36:41Speaker 9: Tell us, Sam.
- 1:36:42Speaker 11: So, yes, Gina is mostly correct. In the early 1700s,
- 1:36:45Speaker 11: there was a playwright, John Dennis. He created a thunder
- 1:36:48Speaker 11: effect for his play. And it was with a metal
- 1:36:51Speaker 11: sheet device to simulate thunder. And then when his play closed,
- 1:36:54Speaker 11: he discovered that the rival theater copied his exact thunder
- 1:36:58Speaker 11: machine for production of Macbeth. And that's when he started
- 1:37:01Speaker 11: saying they stole my thunder.
- 1:37:03Speaker 5: So it wasn't the audience.
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: It was just the actual thunder machine.
- 1:37:09Speaker 9: Okay. All right.
- 1:37:12Speaker 12: Peeping Tom.
- 1:37:14Speaker 5: Well, I'm guessing it was a guy named Tom. And
- 1:37:17Speaker 5: his name was Tom.
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: The local perv named Tom.
- 1:37:19Speaker 9: Yeah, the local perv. Some perv in Paris or something?
- 1:37:22Speaker 12: I can give you options.
- 1:37:23Speaker 6: There was a guy, he was looking into someone's farmhouse,
- 1:37:26Speaker 6: and then somebody busted him, and it was Tom. Tom
- 1:37:31Speaker 6: from in town.
- 1:37:32Speaker 9: He was checking out chicks' ankles, you know?
- 1:37:34Speaker 11: Was it the legend in which a man named Tom
- 1:37:36Speaker 11: supposedly peeked at a lady while she was naked riding
- 1:37:40Speaker 11: through town?
- 1:37:40Speaker 9: Mm-hmm.
- 1:37:42Speaker 11: Or a royal pigeon named Thomas that spied on the
- 1:37:45Speaker 11: king's neighbors for breadcrumbs. Or a medieval king that hired
- 1:37:49Speaker 11: a spy named Thomas to watch his royal guests through
- 1:37:52Speaker 11: seabird holes in the castle walls.
- 1:37:54Speaker 5: No, I like the bird one.
- 1:37:55Speaker 9: I'm going bird.
- 1:37:55Speaker 5: I'm going eye holes. the King.
- 1:37:58Speaker 9: I like B.
- 1:37:59Speaker 6: Like the way she said it makes it seem like,
- 1:38:01Speaker 6: like the one we're supposed to take is the obvious,
- 1:38:04Speaker 6: the one with the, uh, the medieval, whatever the guy.
- 1:38:07Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:38:08Speaker 11: Well, you're all wrong because it was a, it's the
- 1:38:11Speaker 11: lady Godiva legend. So she rode her horse through the
- 1:38:16Speaker 11: town naked and, because she wanted her husband to lower
- 1:38:19Speaker 11: the heavy taxes.
- 1:38:20Speaker 12: On the townspeople.
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: But that's kind of on her.
- 1:38:22Speaker 20: Well, no.
- 1:38:22Speaker 11: So he said he would lower the taxes if she
- 1:38:25Speaker 11: did that.
- 1:38:25Speaker 12: So she said okay.
- 1:38:26Speaker 5: So he's like a cuck?
- 1:38:27Speaker 11: All the townspeople were told to stay. inside, close the
- 1:38:32Speaker 11: shades and everything like that.
- 1:38:33Speaker 18: And Tom.
- 1:38:34Speaker 11: could not resist temptation, and he peaked. So it's sort
- 1:38:38Speaker 11: of a legend thing, so I don't know if it
- 1:38:39Speaker 11: actually happened or.
- 1:38:40Speaker 5: Not, but that's what it says. Wait, so it was
- 1:38:42Speaker 5: his own wife?
- 1:38:43Speaker 4: That's weird.
- 1:38:45Speaker 12: No, Tom was a townsperson. Who wasn't supposed.
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: To look at a naked woman riding through town in
- 1:38:51Speaker 4: love life.
- 1:38:52Speaker 10: I thought it was his wife too, the way that
- 1:38:53Speaker 10: she said it.
- 1:38:54Speaker 12: Oh, sorry.
- 1:38:54Speaker 5: That's why it's like, oh, he's a cuck? Sorry. You
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: know what?
- 1:38:58Speaker 6: I'll do it, but you got to ride naked through
- 1:39:00Speaker 6: town so everybody else can see you.
- 1:39:01Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 1:39:02Speaker 9: That's what I thought.
- 1:39:02Speaker 5: We could start one. A Sammy story.
- 1:39:04Speaker 9: One where you get confused because she doesn't tell it properly.
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: I followed it, Sammy.
- 1:39:08Speaker 5: Good story. Anyway. Thank you.
- 1:39:10Speaker 8: Boom.
- 1:39:10Speaker 5: Fun fact. Origins of common phrases. Give me another one.
- 1:39:15Speaker 12: Under the weather.
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: Oh, Greg, you know this one.
- 1:39:17Speaker 5: I know this. So sailors in the old timey days,
- 1:39:20Speaker 5: when they weren't feeling good, they would go to the
- 1:39:22Speaker 5: very bottom of the ship because it had the least
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: amount of rocking back and forth motion. So then they say,
- 1:39:28Speaker 5: where's Sammy? Oh, she's under the weather, meaning at the
- 1:39:31Speaker 5: bottom deck.
- 1:39:31Speaker 4: You are correct.
- 1:39:32Speaker 9: That's how I knew that from Greg.
- 1:39:35Speaker 5: Good job, Greg. Thanks.
- 1:39:36Speaker 12: All right, the next one. Cutting corners.
- 1:39:39Speaker 5: Cutting corners.
- 1:39:40Speaker 9: I mean, isn't that just like cutting across where the
- 1:39:43Speaker 9: corner would be?
- 1:39:43Speaker 5: Yeah, it seems like. Instead of going all the way around,
- 1:39:45Speaker 5: you just kind of just go directly.
- 1:39:46Speaker 9: Why are they cutting corners?
- 1:39:48Speaker 5: Because you're taking a shortcut.
- 1:39:48Speaker 10: Is it with bread?
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: No, I mean like what's the literal, what were they cutting?
- 1:39:52Speaker 12: Here are your options.
- 1:39:53Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:39:54Speaker 12: Is it either bakers trimmed corners off cakes?
- 1:39:57Speaker 11: Dude.
- 1:39:58Speaker 9: What?
- 1:39:59Speaker 11: Is it medieval architects rounded every corner because right angles
- 1:40:02Speaker 11: were considered unlucky? Or carriage drivers steered tightly around turns
- 1:40:08Speaker 11: to save time?
- 1:40:09Speaker 5: Well, that third one's the most obvious one.
- 1:40:11Speaker 6: I would think that would be the most obvious, yeah,
- 1:40:12Speaker 6: because you're cutting the corner to save time.
- 1:40:14Speaker 5: Like gym class.
- 1:40:15Speaker 6: Which is what that phrase means. If someone's cutting corners,
- 1:40:17Speaker 6: they're either skipping on money, skipping on time.
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: But they were so dumb and superstitious. It's got to
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: be the right angle.
- 1:40:24Speaker 5: Yeah, but why did I think about baking? Yeah, that's weird.
- 1:40:26Speaker 5: Why are you always thinking about baking? I'm going carriage.
- 1:40:29Speaker 5: Also true. I'm going cake.
- 1:40:31Speaker 12: It is the carriage.
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:40:33Speaker 7: Nice.
- 1:40:34Speaker 12: Tightly around turns sometimes dangerously and it would tip it over.
- 1:40:36Speaker 5: By the way, Jenny, Sammy. Oh, so not to save time.
- 1:40:39Speaker 6: It was, that was our number two.
- 1:40:41Speaker 12: Well, it was. Yeah, it was to go faster and to, yeah.
- 1:40:43Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:40:44Speaker 4: Cut the corner.
- 1:40:44Speaker 9: Before they had bank corners like in NASCAR right in this.
- 1:40:47Speaker 9: Hell yeah, brother.
- 1:40:48Speaker 5: All right. We have time for one more. Give me
- 1:40:49Speaker 5: one more. The origin of this common phrase.
- 1:40:52Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:40:53Speaker 12: Let's do bite off more than you can chew.
- 1:40:55Speaker 9: Isn't that obvious?
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: All right. What does it, who does it come from?
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: Yeah. Somebody who choked?
- 1:41:02Speaker 12: Okay, so here are your options.
- 1:41:04Speaker 11: From chewing tobacco and taking a piece so large that
- 1:41:07Speaker 11: it causes a person to get sick. From a medieval
- 1:41:09Speaker 11: pie-eating champion who tried to swallow an entire wedding cake.
- 1:41:14Speaker 11: To impress the bride's family. Or a royal chef who
- 1:41:16Speaker 11: challenged guests to eat a whole roast boar without putting
- 1:41:20Speaker 11: down their fork.
- 1:41:20Speaker 9: Hell yeah.
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: I mean, that tobacco one's pretty interesting.
- 1:41:23Speaker 9: I like the pie-eating podcast.
- 1:41:24Speaker 13: Yeah, because they call it chew.
- 1:41:25Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: I'll go with that one. Me and Jeff will go
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: with that one.
- 1:41:29Speaker 5: I think the Hark who goes there medieval stuff is fitting. B. Yeah, bye.
- 1:41:35Speaker 5: I'll say tobacco.
- 1:41:36Speaker 4: Yeah, me too.
- 1:41:37Speaker 8: Bye.
- 1:41:38Speaker 12: Tobacco is the answer.
- 1:41:40Speaker 5: So good at this. God, it's so validating. All right. Well, cool.
- 1:41:47Speaker 9: I love those.
- 1:41:48Speaker 5: I like stuff like that. That's cool. I don't know
- 1:41:50Speaker 5: what you do with it. Nothing. Tell it at a
- 1:41:52Speaker 5: dinner party.
- 1:41:53Speaker 4: At Jeopardy. Do you let the cat out of the bag?
- 1:41:55Speaker 4: I thought it was because they go to the market
- 1:41:57Speaker 4: and think they were buying a pig, but it was
- 1:41:59Speaker 4: really a cheap cat.
- 1:42:01Speaker 9: And they wouldn't know until they got it home.
- 1:42:03Speaker 12: Right, yeah, exactly. And if you let the cat out
- 1:42:05Speaker 12: of the bag, then they knew.
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: That the secret was out.
- 1:42:07Speaker 12: That it was not a pig.
- 1:42:08Speaker 4: I love that stupid stuff.
- 1:42:09Speaker 18: The Woody Show.
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: After Hours voicemails.
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:42:17Speaker 20: 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:42:18Speaker 5: That's 877-44-WOODY. This guy called in with a high thought.
- 1:42:23Speaker 7: Okay, so I'm watching TV and these commercials for the
- 1:42:27Speaker 7: animal shelter keeps coming on. And the lady says that
- 1:42:32Speaker 7: these dogs, these animals, don't even know when their next
- 1:42:36Speaker 7: meal is going to be.
- 1:42:37Speaker 21: Like, of course they don't know when they're... How are they.
- 1:42:42Speaker 7: Going to tell you?
- 1:42:43Speaker 10: God, bitch, they don't talk.
- 1:42:45Speaker 7: But I just thought that was funny, and I.
- 1:42:48Speaker 9: Thought I should share that.
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:42:50Speaker 13: Love that.
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: Thank you. Bye.
- 1:42:51Speaker 9: Bye.
- 1:42:52Speaker 5: Not wrong.
- 1:42:54Speaker 9: Of course they don't know.
- 1:42:56Speaker 4: They never know.
- 1:42:57Speaker 15: Those commercials will guilt you into a donation quicker than
- 1:43:00Speaker 15: anything else in my book, man.
- 1:43:01Speaker 5: Those SPCA ones.
- 1:43:02Speaker 4: Whenever I see that, I'm like, couldn't the cameraman put
- 1:43:04Speaker 4: down the camera and give it some food?
- 1:43:05Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:43:07Speaker 5: Let's see. After hours, voicemail 87744.
- 1:43:09Speaker 6: Woody, this one apparently involves a fun accent.
- 1:43:13Speaker 18: Hey, guys. Just calling in to correct the oh-so-smart sea bass.
- 1:43:19Speaker 18: Catching up on the podcast. You guys, the DUIQ about
- 1:43:24Speaker 18: proof and alcohol percentages. Anyway, old sea bass says with
- 1:43:29Speaker 18: ever-clear grain alcohol that it can't.
- 1:43:33Speaker 5: Be more than.
- 1:43:35Speaker 18: Whatever the hell it was, 190 proof because anything more
- 1:43:38Speaker 18: will evaporate.
- 1:43:39Speaker 5: Well, that is true.
- 1:43:40Speaker 18: It will evaporate, but not instantly. Just like gasoline, you've
- 1:43:44Speaker 18: got to leave it in the sun. The correct answer is,
- 1:43:47Speaker 18: and I'm not 100% sure, it's either like 71% or 77%
- 1:43:52Speaker 18: alcohol is the highest percent you can produce with natural distillation.
- 1:43:59Speaker 18: To get anything higher than that, you have to do
- 1:44:02Speaker 18: it through chemicals and scientifically sea bass, not just some
- 1:44:07Speaker 18: old hillbilly with a pot still.
- 1:44:09Speaker 5: So anyway, she said the correct sea bass. He didn't.
- 1:44:12Speaker 5: He's a jackass. No, he didn't. Suck it.
- 1:44:15Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: Bye.
- 1:44:15Speaker 6: You know, it sounds like this guy has made some
- 1:44:18Speaker 6: moonshine in his time.
- 1:44:19Speaker 4: He knows what he's talking about.
- 1:44:21Speaker 5: And what part of Pittsburgh are you from, sir?
- 1:44:23Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 1:44:23Speaker 6: I can hear that Yinzer accent from anywhere.
- 1:44:25Speaker 9: I love it.
- 1:44:26Speaker 5: I love it.
- 1:44:27Speaker 9: I just looked it up, and I didn't beforehand. The
- 1:44:28Speaker 9: maximum proof for commercially viable bottled drinking spirits is 192 proof, 96% alcohol.
- 1:44:32Speaker 5: Thank you. What about that?
- 1:44:36Speaker 6: What is he saying? Without using any kind of chemical?
- 1:44:40Speaker 4: Eventually.
- 1:44:40Speaker 9: Well, yeah, you have to use a distillation column, which,
- 1:44:42Speaker 9: by the way, I know that because I did one
- 1:44:44Speaker 9: of my goddamn senior theses, bitch.
- 1:44:48Speaker 5: So I'm not wrong. You just misheard. Done.
- 1:44:51Speaker 9: Speak on it.
- 1:44:52Speaker 15: He was loose on his facts anyways.
- 1:44:56Speaker 9: 71, 77.
- 1:44:56Speaker 5: Uncap any alcohol. In the 70s. It'll eventually evaporate. I
- 1:44:59Speaker 5: get it.
- 1:44:59Speaker 9: I'm exactly right. Stay on business, Evath.
- 1:45:03Speaker 5: After hours voicemail. You want to stick with drunks?
- 1:45:06Speaker 8: Sure.
- 1:45:06Speaker 5: We get a lot of drunks that call in. 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:45:10Speaker 14: I got so drunk one time that I thought I
- 1:45:15Speaker 14: was in the same track neighborhood that looked like the
- 1:45:19Speaker 14: same track neighborhood of my friend's house and I just
- 1:45:23Speaker 14: walked into somebody's house. A completely different family. I threw
- 1:45:30Speaker 14: my bag onto the couch and sat down while they
- 1:45:34Speaker 14: were having dinner on their couch and was like, wow,
- 1:45:38Speaker 14: you guys really have changed the place. And the husband
- 1:45:43Speaker 14: and the son got up and escorted me onto the porch.
- 1:45:47Speaker 14: And I sat there until the cops came in. They
- 1:45:50Speaker 14: realized it was just a mistake and they.
- 1:45:52Speaker 9: Let me go home. Oh, that's sweet.
- 1:45:54Speaker 7: Okay, I love you.
- 1:45:55Speaker 6: Bye.
- 1:45:56Speaker 5: Bye. That's cute.
- 1:45:58Speaker 9: Now, according to Woody Justice, she should have been shot
- 1:46:00Speaker 9: on sight.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:46:01Speaker 9: That's the cattle doctrine, right?
- 1:46:02Speaker 5: Sorry, I don't know who you are.
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: You're my husband.
- 1:46:04Speaker 5: I want you to get inside. Yeah, and you play
- 1:46:06Speaker 5: with fire. You know what I mean? You're taking that risk.

- 1:49:01Speaker 9: Can't stop, won't stop.
- 1:49:02Speaker 5: Yeah, why save pleasure just for the weekend? Exactly. YOLO.
