Transcript
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: If you felt lonely, isolated, disconnected, with an empty feeling inside and just yearning for more, knowing something is missing, then this podcast is for you.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: So here's your host, Joe Mittigan.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Hello and welcome to We.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Have you ever reached a point in your life where you finally felt ready to move forward?
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: But you were confused because you no longer knew what moving forward was supposed to look like?
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Maybe you spent years working towards a particular life.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: You had a dream, you had plans, you had expectations about who you were supposed to become, what success would look like, and what would finally make you happy.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: And then something began to change.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Not necessarily in the world around you, but in the world within you.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: The things that you once wanted don't seem quite as important anymore.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: The things you once feared, losing, don't seem to have the same power over you.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: And the life you spent so many years trying to create is beginning to feel different from the life your heart is calling you to live.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: And quite honestly, if that's happening to you, that can be really confusing.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Believe me, I understand.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Because for perhaps the first time in your life, you actually feel ready, you know, ready to grow, ready to change, ready to become the person you were created to be.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: But you're not entirely sure who that person is going to be.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: And maybe that's exactly where your spiritual awakening begins to take you.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: You see, I spent much of my life believing that discovering my purpose meant figuring out what I wanted to do with my life.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: What I wanted to accomplish, what I wanted to achieve, what I wanted the world to think of me.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: But the more I began healing the child within me, the more I started realizing something extraordinary.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe my purpose was never about creating the life I thought I wanted.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Maybe it was about allowing my higher power to guide me towards a life I never could have imagined.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: And those are two very different ways of living.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: One is built around control, the other is built around trust.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: One asks, how do I make my life become what I want it to be?
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: The other asks, who is my higher power helping me become?
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: And what am I being called to do with the life I've been given?
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: And the second question can change everything.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Because when you begin following our higher power's guidance, we may discover that our old definition of success no longer fits.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Our relationships begin to change, our priorities change, and the way we see other people begins to change.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: And perhaps most importantly, the way we see ourselves truly begins to change.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: We begin realizing that we don't have to spend the rest of our lives becoming who the world told us we should be.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: We can begin becoming who we were spiritually created to be.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: And here's something I've been discovering along my journey.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Being confused doesn't mean necessarily we're going in the wrong direction.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it simply means we're entering a part of our lives where we never experienced before.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: The life that isn't being built around us by our old fears, our old expectations, and our old need to prove ourselves to the world.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: A life being built around love, faith, purpose, passion, and the extraordinary possibility that our lives can become something far greater than we've ever imagined.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: But there's another part of this awakening that I believe is especially important.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: As we begin creating a whole new world within ourselves, we also begin changing the world around us.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Because when we become more loving, we bring more love into our relationships.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: When we become more peaceful, we bring more peace into our families.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: When we begin loving with purpose, we inspire other people to begin searching for their own.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And when we allow our higher power to help us heal, we begin discovering that our healing can become part of humanity's healing.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: And for me, that folks is when our journey begins moving from me to we.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: And perhaps that's the greatest discovery of all.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: That creating a whole new world for ourselves isn't about separating ourselves from the world.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: It's about becoming someone who can bring more love, more hope, and more healing into it.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: So today I want to talk about what's happening when we finally feel ready to follow our calling, even though we're still confused about where it's leading us.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: I want to talk about trusting our higher power when the life ahead of us looks nothing like the life we could have imagined.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: And I want to explore how discovering our true purpose can become the beginning of an entirely new way of living.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Because maybe, just maybe, we don't need to know exactly where we're going.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Maybe we simply need to trust who is guiding us.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: And maybe the beautiful new world you're searching for doesn't begin somewhere outside of us.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Maybe it begins with the person we're becoming within.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: My name is Joe Mittica, and this is we.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: Welcome everybody.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the We Podcast around the world.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: And it's a great night here in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: It's fun to be on the podcast, and I've got some really cool stories to tell you tonight.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: I've had some great conversations with some really powerful people that I'm going to share with you.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: I've got another one of my stories towards the end of the podcast, like I always do.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: That is it's a good one.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: It's a following my knowing story.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: It's kind of a self-described wish it was one way, happened another way, kind of a heartbreak and a massive discovery all in the same story.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: So it's a powerful one, and you're going to want to stick around to hear it, that's for sure.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: It's got an amazing amount of spiritual growth in it.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: And the ultimate experience that I'm going to be telling people is people are watching you.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: And just remember that when I tell this story, because the story at the end of this podcast, it's really, really powerful.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: So I'm continuing on the series about our development of guidance systems.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I'm at the place of knowings now.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: And before I talk about that, I want to welcome people from around the world, Norway and Canada, United Kingdom, two new countries, the Netherlands and Mexico.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Welcome, folks.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the We Podcast.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: Vietnam, India, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Nigeria, Malaysia, South Korea.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Quite honestly, only to name a few.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Those are the countries that we are ranked in top positions.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: And I say we because, folks, this is a we.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: The we community is literally expanding around the globe, and it's expanding because we're all on the same path.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: We're all spiritual warriors.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: You couldn't make it on a podcast like mine if you aren't.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: You know, you just couldn't.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: And I honor that all the time in folks.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: I really, really do.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: And I hope you can honor it in yourself.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: You know, I talk about self-esteem.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: I talk about self-worth.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: I talk about personal integrity.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: I talk it about it a lot.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Because as each one of us grow into a grander us, I believe that's what life purpose is.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: I really do.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: Now, living your purpose is something different than your actual initial life purpose.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: I believe living our life purpose is about becoming the best you you can possibly be.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Created in God's image, right?
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: Obviously, God's image wouldn't be the little, small, soft-spoken, afraid to talk, afraid to stand up.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: You.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: It's going to be the you that is full of confidence.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: It's going to be the you that's full of courage.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: It's going to be the you that sees yourself as a true spiritual warrior.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: And in the seeing and identifying yourself as that, that isn't an ego-based anything.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Quite honestly, folks, that's more of a sacred understanding than a public expression.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: It just is.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Your self-description of yourself isn't anybody's business except your own, quite honestly.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: And though, as you live that, as you live from a place, you will naturally live from a place that will vibrate differently, and folks around you will interact with you differently, and people will see you differently as you see yourself differently.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: And that's why I always ask people, when was your first conscious thought?
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: And for those of you in recovery, trust me, you were probably on a spiritual path way before you actually sought any type of recovery.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: And we're going to talk about that a little bit further here.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: We really are, because personal awareness and recovery work, they're different things.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Recovery is a deeper, grander, more intense experience of life's challenges and getting over some life challenges and truly expanding into a grander you.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: But you don't have to hit a bottom to start a spiritual path.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: And 95, 98% of you on here, you'll never get to a bottom.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: You don't have to get to a bottom.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: You're already on a spiritual path.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: And, you know, addiction and recovery and all that concept that isn't even part of your world.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: It's just not.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: But I like to talk about both ends of the spectrum.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: And I like to talk about the darkest of the dark and the grandest of the grand.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: And today, by the end of my story, I'm going to tell you kind of the end result for myself living in a very grand place.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: To be honest with you, it's humbling.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: I have the words to explain it, though sometimes I still look at myself and I say, How the heck did this happen?
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: Like, how did I make it to this place?
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: And the place I'm talking about is a communion with a power greater than myself, that it's palatable.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: It's like literally, there's times I'll be in my car and it really literally feels like a power greater than myself is in the passenger seat with me.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: And that level of communion was never sought.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: I wasn't looking for it.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: All I wanted to do is stop hurting.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: And so that's why my experience, and I share my experience, strength, and hope here all the time.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: My experience and the hope I share today in the how I got to it, the cool life I live.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: And this whole title, literally having a life you couldn't imagine.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, talk about a perfect fitting for me.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, I couldn't have ever imagined this.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: It wasn't even in the dream book, if you will.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Global podcast, you kidding?
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, I didn't even know what a podcast was.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: So, but here we are, and we're together, and we're gonna, you know, continue to share this message because the truth of the matter is, I don't have anything to teach you.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: I'm not here to teach anything.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: I'll show you what I did, but as you heal the depths of yourself, you just start remembering a grander you.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: The question is, as you start remembering that you, do you know what to do with it?
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: And one of the things that I'm doing here on the We podcast is I'm coming up with I'm finding solution, I'm finding long-term support places I can send people.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: And the the podcast that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, and I'm gonna mention for a while, Dad's in recovery.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: I actually had the opportunity to speak with Brandon today, and I'm gonna share in depth what he had to say, and I'm gonna share my goal about podcasts, because I believe that everybody out there that's got a message, that's got a passion, that just wakes up in the middle of the frickin' night saying, you know, I just want to tell somebody something what's in me.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Well, a podcast is a great way to do it.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: It really, really is.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And I've got some really cool news on that topic, which I'm gonna get to in a second.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: But it's just amazing.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: I have to tell you, I'm in a lot of gratitude today.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: I am excited to say that, you know, I've been on my sacred silence five or six hours a day with no external stimulus.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: I work puzzles as I've been telling people.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: And for new people, what I'm talking about is people always ask, and I've been asked, like, Joe, how do I hear my higher power?
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: Like, how do I know what it is?
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: Well, your higher power is kind of the quiet voice inside of you.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: And it's the voice that's going to be all inclusive.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: Your ego voice is gonna be more shame-based or guilt-based.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be, I'm not good enough, or they're not good enough, I'm too fat, or they're too stupid, I'm too not smart enough, or they're all idiots.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: You know, it's shame of self or guilt projected on somebody else.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: It's one or the other.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: And most of us are buried in our own thoughts, and we don't even know we're buried in them because it's the only thing we know.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Well, what sacred silence does, the practicing of silence, is where you get yourself in a position, you kind of breathe into it, and it's not really meditation.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Meditation is a different technique where you're really trying to calm your voices through breath and through relaxation.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: This is not that.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: This is more you just sit and you observe your voices, you do.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: And if they get real aggressive, and if they get real clear, write them out one bullet point at a time.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Whatever you hear yourself saying, write it out on a piece of paper and then sit long enough to where you can start hearing a quieter voice.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: And that quieter voice is going to be all-inclusive.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: It's going to be a voice that sounds something like an all-possibility voice.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: It's going to be something about a we can do it, or maybe we can, or hopefully we will, or it's going to have all-inclusive supportive adjectives associated with the voice.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Now, again, it's one thing to hear it, it's another thing to follow it, it's another thing to have your life guided by it.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: And, you know, those are all different steps of the spiritual awakening process.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: But we have to first be taught that it's inside.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: And that's what the major thing that the Wii Podcast is about.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Folks, I honor the reason the Wii Podcast got started for a lot of different reasons.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: But one of the primary reasons, on a spiritual sense, is I wanted to honor the massive percentile of humanity now that considers itself more spiritual than religious.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: And it's not a judgment of good or bad.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: Everybody's on their own path.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: And just so everybody knows, you know, I have nothing against religion in any way, shape, or form.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Some of my closest, dear-hearted friends are really strong Christian folks.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: My closest family member has been a Catholic his whole life.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: And these structures, these more traditional structures, have worked for these people, and it works for them.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: They're peaceful, loving, kind human beings, and they live the principle of those structures, of those societies.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: What is it?
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: That there's one God and you follow in love.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: All modern day religion, all modern day religion is there's one God, monolithic God in love.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Now I will challenge each and every one of them and all of us.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: Are you following the foundation of your religion?
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: Yes or no.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: And if you're following it, great.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: You know, you hear this different idea of people will go into a Christian church and they kind of they have a spiritual awakening, you know, they get reborn.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Well, how do you live the reborn?
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: It's simple.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: You leave church, you get out there in the world, it's simple.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Whatever action step you're doing, just real simple.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Would Jesus do what I just did?
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Yes or no?
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: And probably if you just went home and cussed out your wife because she burnt your dinner, or you just nagged at your husband because he drank too much, or you just scolded your kid because you got frustrated, that's probably not the action step Jesus would have taken.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: It's just not.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Is that a bad thing?
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: No.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: Because when we hear our bigness, what do we want to do?
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: We want to step back, we want to hear the reactionary patterns, we want to step back, we want to write down the voices, and that's where we go into discovery based on our big reactionary patterns.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: The how-to, every big voice in your head has a hurt in your belly, period.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: Now, do you have to heal the hurt to get rid of all the voices?
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: But do you have to get rid of all the voices to live a cool life?
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: No, most people don't.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: Most people live cool lives and they still have those voices.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: But they're taught, they teach themselves how to live with glass full voices instead of being guided only in glass empty voices.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: And that brings me to kind of the sequence that we've been working through these last podcasts, you know, the development of guidance systems.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Like, how do you make a decision on your Tuesday morning or your Saturday afternoon or your Wednesday at lunch?
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: How do you make that decision?
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Well, there's some part of you in you making those decisions.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: The question is, how?
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: And I was literally at breakfast this morning with my son.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: My niece stays with us a lot.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: We live closer to her high school.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: She got to be there like before seven o'clock in the morning.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: So we're up with the chickens, or we're up with the roosters.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: And my youngest son and I, because my youngest son does, he's homeschooled.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: So afterwards, we go to breakfast.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: And I've always been in conscious conversation with my sons.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: I am.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: And we're sitting there, and what I'm getting ready to say isn't judgment, it's just the truth.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: And we look around and we see people, and I saw a gentleman walk in, and he just kind of sat down and he looked kind of frumpy.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: He didn't look like he's a very happy guy at all.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: And I said, and I was kind of projecting, but you know, quietly with my son.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: And it just gave me the, it helped me help my son understand what it means to be unconscious.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: And I didn't know this person.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: I wasn't, I didn't, I wasn't projecting it onto this literal man, but I just used this man's, I watched this man's behaviors, and I was saying that most, a huge percentage of people are just unconscious.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: They live in repeat.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, literally, it's deja vu every day, it's groundhog's day every day.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: And literally, in a waffle house in the morning, when you see the waitresses, hey John, you want the same breakfast?
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, four or five different people came in.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Now, Mike, I'm not judging in any way, shape, or form, but they've got a pattern called life.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: And a lot of people in the unconscious world, they don't know that they don't know.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: They can't hear their thoughts.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Everybody on this podcast, you know you can hear your thoughts.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: You're conscious people.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: You wouldn't be able to make it through a podcast like this if you weren't.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: And I'm not judging an unconscious person as better or worse.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: I'm not.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: I just was saying to my son that the unconscious world out there, they're basically on repeat.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: They do reactionary pattern after reactionary pattern.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: Most things that they do is for addiction satiation somehow, some way.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: And what is addiction satiation?
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: They consume things because it tastes good.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: They take action steps because it feels good.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: They do whatever they want to do because the action step satiates them.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I was sitting there watching this particular gentleman and He had some type of Diet Cola type beverage, which is a sweet beverage at 6 45 in the morning.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: And, you know, anybody that's drinking a sweet drink at six o'clock in the morning, they're doing it because they're craving the sugar.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Well, that's a type of addiction satiation.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: Good or bad?
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: No, just factual.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: And I was sharing it with my son so that, you know, we just have conscious conversation.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Well, from unconscious to conscious is when you start, when you realize you can hear your thoughts.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: And in the beginning of that process, you hear your thoughts.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: When you really start listening to them, most of the thoughts you have are fear-based.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Afraid of losing what you have, afraid you're not getting what you want.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: 98% of our thought patterns, 98% of our action steps are based on those two thoughts, especially in the glass-empty world.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: We move from glass-empty voices to glass full, more of an all-inclusive voice, more of an all-possibility voice, more of a glass-building, glass-honoring, glass full voice.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: You go from glass full voices.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: My last podcast, you go from glassful voices to being more guided by your heart.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: I shared the story on the podcast that was actually launched this morning.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: This podcast I'm doing right now, I'm doing it on the 27th.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: It won't be launched until the 29th.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: But the podcast today that got launched today, it talks about how I followed my heart for the very first time.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: Led me right into a brick wall.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: It did.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: But I followed it.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: And one of the single largest confusions that people get is they live in the delusion.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: They live in the made-up belief system that says, well, if I'm following a power greater than myself, then my external world is going to be exactly what I want it to be.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: False it.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: That's not what it's for.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: That's not what it's about.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: And in that particular example right there, even though I wanted to get involved with this woman, I wanted to.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: She didn't with me.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: I still care about this woman today, 25 years later, literally.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Have the same feeling 25 years later.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: It doesn't mean that I got what I personally wanted from my humanity because I didn't.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: But it doesn't mean the feeling wasn't there.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: And that particular experience led me more into my heart, led me deeper into my heart.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: And the ultimate spiritual experience I had during the week or two of Princess Diana dying back in the late 90s was I had a conscious awakening that our spirit and our light is in us coming out, not from the outside in.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: Most people, when they pray, they pray to the universe to fill them with light.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: Well, the truth of the matter is you're already full of light.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: You are a spiritual being.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: You are an enlightened light being, having a human experience.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: And through that particular heartbreak, emotions that it catapulted me into, the end result, is that I had an awakening where literally eventually I became very autonomous because I became my own spiritual source.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: Now, this is back in the late 90s.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: So when we're following a grander guidance system, the whole idea of following that grander guidance system is not necessarily to satiate your humanity's desires.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: It's about your higher power guiding you into experiences so that you can grow and become the grandest you.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: Now, sometimes you get exactly what you want, sometimes you don't.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: And that following of my heart, I didn't get the girl, that's for sure.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: But I gained a much grander sense of myself.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: I healed very deep parts.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: I had a little boy in me for 22 months, but that said over and over, but she said she loved me.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: But she said she loved me, but she said she loved me, as this young woman is, you know, in the normal dating scene.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: And that little boy in me, the four-year-old in me, basically, he was neglected his whole life by the world and by myself.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: Well, through that experience that I didn't get in my external world, I could hear him clearly, and I was able to embrace him in a way that I never could.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: And that particular experience, my four-year-old, a spiritual experience in therapy, going deep into myself.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: I saw myself as a four-year-old.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: And my dad took me to the lake with his girlfriend, a female friend, even though he's married.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: And we're going to talk about that here in a little bit.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: And they lost me, literally.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: So I'm standing there having this memory as four years old.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I'm standing in knee-high water, crying, looking wanting my mommy.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I have all this memory.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: And for the longest time I had that memory in therapy and everything.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Well, because of this particular experience, that I didn't get what I wanted in the external world.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: I didn't get my humanity's desire, which was to get the girl and have a relationship.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: It forced me deeper into myself.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: And then eventually, as if an act of God, literally, I kept in my meditation and in my journaling and in my communing with my little kid.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: I kept waiting for the little kid to come to me.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: And then after a year or so, I realized it's not the little boy's job to come to the adult, it's the adult's job to go to the little boy.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: And that happened.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: When I did that spiritual experience, deeply emotionally connected, grieved for weeks and months, that part.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: And eventually that little boy and me healed, the four-year-old and me healed, because I didn't get the girl.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: So as we're following a higher purpose, following your heart, following your glassful voices, or following your knowings, that I'm going to talk about later, they are different.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: It's all following a grander you, somehow, some way.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: But we kind of do it at different levels of spiritual evolvement, if you will, spiritual development, if you will.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: And the biggest, the single largest step of awakening is going from unconscious to conscious.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: And then the process of enlightenment, the more we become consciously aware of our inner selves, and the more we heal the deeper parts of ourselves, the grander the availability of our higher self just becomes the natural consequence.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: Because, and that's why I say all the time, I'm not teaching you anything.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: I'm going to help you remember everything, but I'm not teaching you because your higher power is already in you.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: And whether you know it or not, that doesn't matter.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Doesn't just because you don't know what's in there doesn't mean it's not in there, because it is.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: And people say all the time, well, Joe, if it's in there, why can't I follow it?
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: Well, you can't follow it, you can't hear it, you can't feel it, you can't sense it, because there's so much suppressed emotion and unconscious barriers between you and a power greater than yourself that you just don't know.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: Well, I can tell you literally, spiritually, humanity is waking up.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: The feminine side of humanity is waking up faster and faster every day.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: It just is.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: So the veil between you, the gap between you and a power greater than you is getting thinner and thinner and thinner.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: And that's why the We Podcast is literally exploding around the world, because it doesn't matter where you are in the world, we're all humanity.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: I don't care if you're in Vietnam, South Korea, or Atlanta, Georgia, we're all human.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: And we all have a feminine side of self.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: And in that feminine side of self are your emotions and your communion with your spiritual essence.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: The challenge is since 98% of us, 99.9% of us grew up in eras of time where our emotional sense of self, our emotional growth, our emotional availability wasn't honored.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: Well, where'd all that emotion go?
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's right.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: It got stuffed inside, building those layers.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: Well, the inner child work, the healing of the depths of stuff basically helps emote suppressed emotion.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: And as we get all that emotion out, the glass empty voices that were created because of the suppressed emotion goes away.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: And the only thing then eventually left is an inner you that feels really good and a higher power you that's just there, and you can feel it and you can hear it.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: And that's quite honestly, folks, where I live 99% of the time.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: Because I'm so unique and special, no freaking, no way.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just practicing that.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: I've been doing it forever.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: My first conscious thoughts were in 1989 or something.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: My spiritual awakening where my alcohol and drugs were removed was February the 20th, 1994, long time ago, and been on this type of path, emotional growth path, for 35 years, 36 years, more than half my life.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: That's why I can explain it so well, but it's not unique to me.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: And I've literally sponsored people, supported people that, you know, out of nowhere, they kind of hear the God thing going on in their head, they think they're nuts, they start feeling some feelings in their belly, they don't even know what the heck it is.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: A couple just conversations, and you know, one girl basically she had a teenager that was mad because her dad was never there, and a six or seven, eight-year-old inside of herself that just never got heard, and with just a little bit of connection, a little bit of communion.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: I mean, she's feeling great.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: And that's where most people are.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Most people are not guided to heal the depths of their stuff, they're just not.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: And so I talk about it all the time because that's where my path was: the emotional growth.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: And emotional growth then leads us into human transformation.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: And as you transform your humanity, then you tend to want to give back differently.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: And that's where this podcast, Dad's in Recovery, is such a powerful thing.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: So I say that because these men are just people, they're just like me.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: I mean, they're just like you, anybody out there.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: And I got to talk to Brandon today, and he told me his story.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna re-reference this a lot because it's a podcast out there that is it's just a long-term support for dance.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: And that's not me, that's not what the We podcast does.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: I'm an awareness podcast.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: These people are long-term support, and I'm gonna come across others.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: My intention is hopefully to inspire 10,000 of you, and then we'll go to 20, then we'll go to 50, then we'll go to 100,000 podcasts that you decide to do with your message.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: Where will it go?
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: How big will it get?
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: That doesn't really matter.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: It isn't about where it goes and how big, it's about you following the inner you that is telling you to do it.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: And in next week's episode, I'm gonna speak at length.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: I came across a man named Bill Bronson, and Bill has a company called Podwork Studios.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: And lo and behold, if you're some type of you know, person out there and you want to have kind of a formal podcast and you don't know what the heck you're doing because you're an attorney, or you're a doctor, or you're a professor, or you're whatever, well, I'm gonna make sure you have all the information for Bill's stuff.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: That's what he does, literally.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna tell his whole story next week at length, but you know, I'm really happy because I hope that I can send 10,000 people to Bill, and Bill can help 10,000 of you start a podcast.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Because each one of you have a message inside of you.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: And for there's probably 50,000 of you or a hundred, there's so many people downloading the podcast.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: I don't know, my numbers could be completely skewed.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: Could be 100,000 of you start a podcast tomorrow.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: The great news is technology allows it.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: And all of you, literally all of you, have a book inside of you.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: You do.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: And you probably have the same voice as I do if you haven't written it already.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: It's well, I don't know how and who's gonna read it, and I don't know what to say.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: All of those, I get it.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: I had every one of them.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: And when you really understand that the creation of something you're putting out into the world has nothing really to do with the world receiving it, the glory comes in you creating it.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: The feel good comes from you doing what you need to do to create and write the book.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: Let those expressions come out.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Now, if people read it, great.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: It's a great feeling coming all the way back.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: Visit my website, joemitica.com.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: Download my book, filling the void.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: Finally got it.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: Click, click, you get it.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: Told that story before.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: I could not, for the life of me, get these folks to get the freaking email concept out of the way.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: You want me to be on my list?
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: I'm sure there's a place to do it.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: You'll get all sorts of cool stuff in the future.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: You do not have to give me your email address to download the book, Filling the Void.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: And it's a free download right on your computer.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: Eventually, you want it in hardback, you'll go to Amazon, you buy it like every other book.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: And so a lot of you have a book inside of you.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: And there's all sorts of, I don't have one yet, but I eventually will have a place.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: I'll point you right in this direction.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: Go to this company and this group, they can help you write your book.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: I got people.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: I just haven't talked to them yet.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: Because my ultimate goal is to create a podcast where 100 million people a month download this message.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: I'm an awareness podcast, but each one of you need to need some type of support as you become the grander you.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: If you're the person that's in a really dark spot and you can't stop drinking or you can't stop drugging, you're gonna probably need some online, you know, recovery something.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: I haven't got one of those yet, I'm representing, that I'm gonna point to.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: Soon, I will.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: Sooner or later, I'll find one that I'd be able to mention right here.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: But for the others of you, I want to help you find places where you can be supported in writing your book.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: You can be supported in starting your podcast, you can be supported in learning how to be a cook or whatever it is you want to do.
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna have it's full circle for Joe.
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: Bring awareness to your higher power, help you write down all the glass empty voices that are keeping you from living your higher purpose.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: And then the living of the higher purpose would be start a podcast if that's what you want to do, or write a book, or whatever the it is.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: That's the living of it.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: Well, I had the opportunity to speak with Brandon today.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: And Brandon and Cliff are the two hosts of Dad's in Recovery.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: And Dad's in Recovery, basically, the design is it both of these men are dads.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: Both of these men have been in recovery for a period of time, alcohol recovery, you know, all different stuff.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: And their hard hearts, their higher power, just said to them, we want to support dads.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: It's fantastic.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: And I want you to hear me.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: You don't have to be recovering alcoholic 12-stepper on, you know, in your fourth year to listen to this podcast.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: No, just the dad or a mom, it doesn't matter who, right?
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: And you'll see when you listen that you'll either listen to it for a while, connect, and go back, or you won't, which is fine.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: You know, it's the same thing here at the We Podcast.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: But if you never knew about it, you won't even know to search for it.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: Well, this particular, these guys, they are passionate about sharing a message, sharing recovery, supporting dads over over and over and over with just dads in connection, right?
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: With different ideas and different supports and just the whole thing.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: It's a powerful deal.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: So I'm going to be using that as an example because each one of you, there's somebody right now listening that you've been thinking about starting a podcast and you want to start moms for recovery.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: Or I don't know, your titles.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: But I know if I can start a podcast, folks, anybody can start a podcast.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: Now, dad's in recovery, these guys, they just figured it out as they wanted to.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: They had the time, they had the wisdom.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: They didn't.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: I just asked Brandon.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: I said, Did you ever do a podcast before?
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: He laughed.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: No, we just absolutely bulldozed it through and figured it out, which is great.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: Now, people that are going to work with Bill, PodWorks, Studios, those are people that are that need more of a structure, that need more of a format, that need more of a not a handheld, because you know, the bill's a business.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: But the end result is it's kind of a plug and play, where with Brandon and Cliff, they plugged and then they had to figure it out as they go.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: So as I'm talking to Brandon today, I hear his story.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: You know, it's a great story.
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: And I don't really repeat somebody else's story, but Brandon was telling me that he was the triple whammy.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: And his triple whammy was drugs, alcohol, and sex.
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: So his addictions were drugs, alcohol, and sex.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: And he was talking about how he's got a passion, a dream, this whole because I guess sexual addiction is not, you know, it's such a supposedly a stigma, which I'm gonna talk about that concept here in a second, this whole stigma nonsense.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: But there's not a whole lot of recovery centers specific for sex addiction.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: And he's got a real passion for that.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: And I'm not gonna tell his story, but soon I will, because he's writing a book.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: And when he comes out with the book, I'm gonna make sure I know the title.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: I'll tell his story in detail.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: But the reason I'm bringing this up is because for this man, he's been a writer his whole life, he works in productions, he does research and then writes, he writes about it, the reviews and stuff forever.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: He's now many years sober, he's out of all of his addictions, he's married, he's got two kids, and his passion is to talk about this concept of sexual addiction and remove the stigma around it.
- 40:49SPEAKER_00: And I'm thinking, I guess I'm just so far removed from most of the world.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking, who in Christ's name truly believes they have the right to criticize another human being's behavior pattern and label it a stigma?
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: If I was cussing right now, I'd be cussing at whoever's labeling anything.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: All I can tell you, there's a proverb somewhere, you probably don't want to throw rocks when you're living in a glasshouse.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: Anybody that has a less than favorable, delusional, made-up nonsense, hateful perspective of somebody that honestly and openly admits they're powerless to something, shame on you, is all I can say.
- 41:37SPEAKER_00: Now, it's none of you people, it's not.
- 41:39SPEAKER_00: Is there a society of people out there that do it?
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, maybe so.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: That's why, quite honestly, I'm guided to get on stages.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: Because the facts of the matter are people that have high propensity for addiction, powerlessness.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: The only way you get over powerlessness is surrender.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: And when you surrender, what are you surrendering to?
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: You're surrendering to a power greater than yourself, the whole divinity concept, which I talk about all the time.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: And people that weren't powerless and weren't in addiction, they would have never had the opportunity to then wouldn't their lives would never be forced to surrender something.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: And it's the people that live from that surrendered place.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Surrender means there's a power greater than you guiding you, not your ego guiding you.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: And it's challenging in the beginning.
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: Our ego wants to be in control, our ego wants to make decisions, our ego wants to believe that it knows everything perfect.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: Well, that's a falsehood.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: Your ego doesn't.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: Our power does.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: And I remember when it happened for me, I was you know, many years into sobriety, into whatever.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: And I'm sitting there, and it was outside of a movie theater.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: I'd go to dollar movies, and I remember sitting there thinking, because the first step is we admit we're powerless.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: The second step in the program is we come to believe that a power greater than ourselves can restore us to sanity.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: And I remember thinking, I was sitting there kind of daydreaming, and I said, now which would I rather have guide me?
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: Me and me.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: My ego voice that has just absolutely created a train wreck of a life, or a higher power voice that is connected to all that is, that is connected to the power that created the stars and the fish, that's created to the power that created the ants and the trees and all humanity.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: Who would I rather have guide me?
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: Who would I rather have help me make my decisions on a Tuesday morning?
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: My glass empty, hate filled ego, or a power greater than myself?
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: Now, you know, when you describe it like that, of course, you'd automatically think, yeah, that higher power thing, I'm going for it.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: I was a slow learner.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: I just was.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: That took me a couple, two or three days before I said, no.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: I'm not, I'm gonna learn this higher power concept.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: And I did.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: And that really, in that moment, it really didn't take three days, but I had contemplated it for three days and I kind of had this experience, and I kind of just woke up to, yeah, I'd rather be guided by the power, the essence of all that is, because your higher power, folks, that's in you, the spirit that's in you, created in God's image, that part is in connection with all that is.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: The same divinity in you is in me.
- 44:34SPEAKER_00: That's the communion, that's the we.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: And that whole that's why the we podcast is literally exploding around the world because I speak into the microphone.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: The man is doing the speaking, but my higher power is doing the talking.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: And wherever you're listening around the globe, you're listening and you're connecting, and your higher power is connecting to what I'm saying.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: And that's where two or more are gathered.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: God is there.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: Well, the two or more in this example is my voice going to your ears anywhere around the planet.
- 45:06SPEAKER_00: And that's why we are the generation of change, because with a click of a button, 50,000 people can hear this message on Thursday.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: A million people.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: The We podcast, folks, we are getting closer.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: I'll find my numbers here soon.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: We're getting close to a million downloads.
- 45:23SPEAKER_00: We're not a year old yet, and that's because of all of you.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: And it's just a powerful thing.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: And why it's so humbling for me is because years ago I thought I was the only one because I wasn't exposed out into the world of people that were on spiritual paths.
- 45:42SPEAKER_00: Well, we are a force.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: We are.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: We are the reality, are the conscious warriors that are the people going to change humanity, people that are healing humanity now.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: Everybody that gets on Dads of Recovery and listens to Brandon and Cliff, Brandon and Cliff were guided by their higher powers to make that podcast.
- 46:05SPEAKER_00: And anybody that goes there, you're getting their overflow.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: And you go there and you learn and you feel supported, and then you tell somebody else that's how the we is built in this particular case, one podcast at a time.
- 46:20SPEAKER_00: My intention, my hope is to inspire 10,000 people to start podcasts, whatever your topic is.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: And you know, I don't know what your passion is.
- 46:29SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: Whatever your passion is, build a podcast around it.
- 46:34SPEAKER_00: And like Bill said, a podcast isn't about the numbers, it's about the exposure, it's about the number of people you can help, the number of people your message helps.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: And the bottom line, the more you put it out there, the more people will come to it.
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: And does it really matter how many people?
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: No.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: No.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: What matters is you're following you.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: And does that mean you're going to do it forever?
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: No.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: I mean you might, but you might be guided to do a podcast and have 10 episodes.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: That's fine.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: Whatever you're guided to do.
- 47:13SPEAKER_00: And folks, the glory is in the following of the guidance in you.
- 47:17SPEAKER_00: That's where the grace comes, not whether people listen or not.
- 47:21SPEAKER_00: The people listening is the cherry, not the cake.
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: Every day I feel a passion to share behind this microphone.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: I do it because it feels good.
- 47:34SPEAKER_00: You know, I've said it over and over.
- 47:35SPEAKER_00: Do you make any money at the podcast?
- 47:37unknown: No.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: No, I don't.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: Do I care?
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: No, I don't.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 47:42SPEAKER_00: Because I'm not doing it for the money.
- 47:43SPEAKER_00: I'm doing it because it feels good.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: I'm doing it because I want to sleep at night.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: If I don't sleep, my higher power wakes me up in the middle of the night with 4,000 different creative ideas.
- 47:53SPEAKER_00: I never sleep.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm sleeping pretty good now because I'm able to share.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: And I can pretty much guarantee you there's a bunch of you right now listening to that, saying, Man, I thought I was the only one.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: Well, you're not, folks.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: I understand if you get awoken, I think that's the way to say it, in the middle of the night with inspirations.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: One technique, make sure you have pad and paper, not computers and all that, especially in the middle of the night.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: Write your inspirations down on a pad of paper, bullet point them if you have to.
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: Then the next morning, write, develop, do whatever.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: Just get it out.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: It's your higher power talking to you.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: And the more of us do it, the more of us will do it.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: And the more we do it, the more we heal.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: And the more we heal, the more we change everything.
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: And that's what the whole We Podcast is all about.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: And here in a minute, I'm going to tell the story.
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: I'm going to tell you and show you and literally explain in detail where and how the We came into play.
- 48:51SPEAKER_00: It's all in this next story.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: For everybody that's relatively new here, the We podcast is basically created because we are the generation of change.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: We are.
- 49:03SPEAKER_00: The four pillars of generation of change, technology, this, what right now.
- 49:08SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm here in Atlanta and you are all around the world.
- 49:12SPEAKER_00: Click of a button, you can hear my voice.
- 49:14SPEAKER_00: It didn't exist 20 years ago.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: It didn't really even exist 10 years ago.
- 49:18SPEAKER_00: Technology, powerful thing, generation of change.
- 49:21SPEAKER_00: Finance.
- 49:22SPEAKER_00: There's more money moving through the globe right now in one hour than 100, 150 years ago used to be in existence total.
- 49:28SPEAKER_00: The amount of money that is around the globe is it's bizarre.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: It's amazing.
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: Long-term caregivers, Cliff and Brandon, they are an example of long-term caregivers.
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: These men have full-time jobs, these men have full-time wives, these men have kids.
- 49:48SPEAKER_00: These men, I'm sure they're involved with their churches, whatever.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: I don't know that, but probably are.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: And they have a passion to share in a meeting like this, in this recovery, right there.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: That's considered a long-term caregiver.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: It just is.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: And then Generation Lamp.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: Our kids are coming in smarter, wiser, more connected than ever before.
- 50:08SPEAKER_00: And there's an entire world of people that have more money than month at younger ages than ever before.
- 50:15SPEAKER_00: You combine all of those four things together, and we have the real availability to heal all of the world's physical challenges, i.e., the continent of Africa not having water.
- 50:29SPEAKER_00: Visit my LinkedIn page.
- 50:31SPEAKER_00: You know, I was able to through a live stream, I met a millionaire guy out of Dubai who put a water system in, one of my caregivers.
- 50:40SPEAKER_00: I support two caregivers in Uganda.
- 50:42SPEAKER_00: And so what the Wii Podcast is about is I talk about those different phases of the generation of change.
- 50:50SPEAKER_00: And that's the other side of the spectrum.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: The spectrum that's dark and hurt and pain and you know needs emotional support.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: That's one side of the spectrum I talk about.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: But really, the grander side of the whole thing is how you give back.
- 51:06SPEAKER_00: You're at a place now that you've got more money than a month.
- 51:10SPEAKER_00: Your kids are launched, you're at a job you either like or you don't like, or you want to take a break, whatever it is, right?
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: But the giving back is you moving from living as your humanity, which is a gratitude pursuit, humanity living from humanity is you go out, you produce in the world, you receive back.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: In the receiving back, you get gratitude, and you know, we're on a gratitude trail, which is fabulous.
- 51:35SPEAKER_00: Gratitude list, the whole deal.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: I used to think that was the end point.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: Now I understand that's the launch point, which again takes me into my story.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: So here at the We Podcast, I want people to understand that living as your divine sense of self is it's the living of that inner you that has a passion to share out into the world.
- 52:00SPEAKER_00: Your purpose in life, become the grandest you.
- 52:04SPEAKER_00: How do you do that?
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: Through emotional discovery and spiritual transformations.
- 52:10SPEAKER_00: That's how you become the grandest you.
- 52:12SPEAKER_00: As you've reached those places of grander you, how do you live it?
- 52:18SPEAKER_00: The how to you live it part.
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: It's a whole podcast I did.
- 52:25SPEAKER_00: And but basically, how you live it is you ask, dear God, dear higher power, dear divinity, what am I supposed to do?
- 52:34SPEAKER_00: You know, how am I supposed to be guided?
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: In that process, it's the same as when you're asking for answers of the dark.
- 52:43SPEAKER_00: You can also ask your divinity to guide you in the light, guide you into your enlightenment, living of your light, the living of your enlightenment.
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: And how you know you're doing that, it's gonna be you're gonna be following your inspirations.
- 53:01SPEAKER_00: I have a whole keynote.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: And in my keynote, Man in the Microphone, I talk about the phases, and we go from a dream state to imagination, imagination to inspiration.
- 53:14SPEAKER_00: Imagination is of your humanity, your inspirations are of your divinity.
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: Cliff and Brandon, they were inspired to create Dads in Recovery.
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: Listen to it.
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: You can find it, it's on every podcast thing.
- 53:28SPEAKER_00: Now, Brandon, in addition to being part of that podcast, Brandon is now inspired to write this book around sexual addiction.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: And by the way, what is sexual addiction?
- 53:41SPEAKER_00: Sexual addiction is basically when your libido can't be satiated.
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: It can't be.
- 53:48SPEAKER_00: And you end up pursuing a life of satiation regardless of the behavior of the people around you.
- 53:55SPEAKER_00: And, you know, he tells his story about years ago, the different experiences he had, and you know, how basically, because of his powerlessness to that, he hurt a bunch of people.
- 54:08SPEAKER_00: And for him, it was just part of what happened.
- 54:14SPEAKER_00: And then what eventually kind of shifted it, he's in an experience, and he ends up being somewhere, and I don't remember the details of the story, but oh, oh, went on his bachelor party.
- 54:29SPEAKER_00: He's gonna get married.
- 54:30SPEAKER_00: Now, this is I don't know, 10, 12 years ago, 20 years ago, whatever it was, a long time ago.
- 54:34SPEAKER_00: And his fiance calls him up and caught him cheating on him.
- 54:40SPEAKER_00: She basically said, This is over, wedding finished, get out of the apartment in two days.
- 54:48SPEAKER_00: And to her credit, she called one of his friends to help him move his stuff out of her apartment.
- 54:54SPEAKER_00: Well, this new friend had somebody in recovery, a brother or something, who had a conversation with Brandon.
- 55:00SPEAKER_00: And this gentleman was talking about Brandon, you know, you need some help.
- 55:06SPEAKER_00: You need help.
- 55:07SPEAKER_00: Brandon's dad visited, I don't know, geography, he's West Coast.
- 55:11SPEAKER_00: I think dad was East Coast.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: And they said, kind of as a group of them, said, You need help.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: And they wanted him to go into a recovery center, a long-term recovery center.
- 55:23SPEAKER_00: And he said, I don't have the money for that.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: And his dad said, I'll pay.
- 55:28SPEAKER_00: His dad stood up.
- 55:30SPEAKER_00: And Brandon's response was, Well, dad, what if you pay all this money and it doesn't work?
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: And the dad said, We'll find the next step.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: We'll find the next answer.
- 55:42SPEAKER_00: And it was in that moment of love without condition from a father to his son that it kind of penetrated for Brandon.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: And Brandon tells the story beautifully.
- 55:54SPEAKER_00: And I share that because you can love somebody till the cows come home.
- 56:03SPEAKER_00: You can want them to get fixed until the cows come home.
- 56:06SPEAKER_00: You can help them, love them, fix them, protect them, tell them what to do, all of that.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: But until they're ready, your love does nothing.
- 56:16SPEAKER_00: Nada.
- 56:17SPEAKER_00: You can't fix them.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: You can't.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: Well, Brandon's dad wasn't there to fix.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: Brandon's dad was there to offer when the kid, and I don't know how old Brandon was at this time, 30s, was ready.
- 56:32SPEAKER_00: And the young man said, I'm ready.
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: And that's where the power of unconditional really, really is a powerful thing.
- 56:44SPEAKER_00: And you know, I hear these stories, and I know they relate.
- 56:51SPEAKER_00: I know there's people out there right now that you just can't get enough sexual libido.
- 56:58SPEAKER_00: You can't stop watching porn.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: You can't stop getting hooked up.
- 57:01SPEAKER_00: You can't.
- 57:02SPEAKER_00: What is the source of all of it?
- 57:04SPEAKER_00: Hurt little kid.
- 57:05SPEAKER_00: 100% a hurt little kid.
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: I had a massive libido.
- 57:11SPEAKER_00: Now I was never a prostitute person that I never never did that.
- 57:15SPEAKER_00: Never had to.
- 57:16SPEAKER_00: I just found women that had the same type of libido as me.
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: But all addictive behaviors, all of them have a source, and the source is a wounded little kid.
- 57:29SPEAKER_00: Now, do I know if Brandon got to the depths of his kid?
- 57:32SPEAKER_00: No, I don't know.
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: But I want you to hear me, folks.
- 57:35SPEAKER_00: If you're that person that you got a beautiful wife and a great relationship and fellas, and you just can't stop watching porn, please know there's nothing wrong with you.
- 57:44SPEAKER_00: You've got a hurt little kid inside.
- 57:46SPEAKER_00: And there are support systems out there that will help stop the behavior long enough so you can get to the hurt which is causing the behavior.
- 57:57SPEAKER_00: And anybody that goes into this stigma nonsense, you know what?
- 58:02SPEAKER_00: I'm done with that nonsense.
- 58:03SPEAKER_00: We are the generation of change.
- 58:05SPEAKER_00: And anybody that has the courage to come out and share intimately about stuff that they're ashamed of and embarrassed of and whatever, that takes pure courage.
- 58:17SPEAKER_00: And for those of us that lived in the dark forever, that's why I listened to, I was asked to put some in, some award group wanted me to put a podcast in.
- 58:28SPEAKER_00: You know, they want to give me some award.
- 58:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 58:31SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be we for us if I get it.
- 58:34SPEAKER_00: And I put the podcast in there when on the one that's August 11th, when I cry the whole time.
- 58:40SPEAKER_00: And I say right in the beginning, it was the day, August the 5th was the day I had to make the difficult decision to put my dog Zeus to sleep at 11 years old.
- 58:51SPEAKER_00: And I literally say right in the beginning of it, I say, you know what, folks, if I can tell a million people I'm hurting, you can tell one.
- 58:59SPEAKER_00: Well, if you're that person out there that can't watch, stop watching porn, it's time to get help.
- 59:05SPEAKER_00: And it isn't your wife's responsibility, fellas.
- 59:08SPEAKER_00: And you know, women, I know you do the same stuff, you do.
- 59:11SPEAKER_00: It's time to tell somebody.
- 59:14SPEAKER_00: Because as soon as you start telling somebody about the behavior pattern that you're buried in, it starts breaking the shame.
- 59:21SPEAKER_00: It starts bringing light in.
- 59:23SPEAKER_00: And the truth is, all behaviors like that are in your belly, they're in a hurt.
- 59:30SPEAKER_00: And why is it so important that 10,000 of us and then 20, then a hundred share on a podcast, are in a book, are in a whatever your passion is.
- 59:41SPEAKER_00: Those are just the two things that come to my mind.
- 59:44SPEAKER_00: I guess because those are the two things I do.
- 59:46SPEAKER_00: There's a hundred different ways to give back to humanity.
- 59:49SPEAKER_00: Because there are hundreds of millions of people that need your hope.
- 59:56SPEAKER_00: They need your experience, they need to know that if you can, they can.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_00: Period.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_00: Dad's in recovery.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_00: That's what these two men do.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_00: Brandon, you know, writing additional books, that's what he does.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_00: And each of you can have that same type of very cool giving back into the world experience by you following the grander you.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_00: And for most of us on this podcast, you're not in a deep dark spot.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying you're perfect.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying, you know, that you don't have your issues.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_00: I ask people all the time when was the last time you didn't drink for 30 days?
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_00: Most of you will say I've been drinking five years.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_00: But for the one person, you know, a lot of what I do here is for the one.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_00: I'll also ask right now, when was the last time you hadn't watched any type of pornography?
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: You know, and if you can't honestly answer, I'm not shaming or blaming.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_00: I'm not.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_00: I'm saying that, and it, you know, there's a whole world out there that says that's a sin.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not going there.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_00: It's none of my business what people call it.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_00: I don't really care what they call it.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_00: Bottom line, if you're doing a behavior like that, you got to hurt little kid inside.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_00: For a whole world of people, they don't call it addiction.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_00: But when the whole concept of sex equals love, no, it doesn't.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_00: Sex and love have nothing to do with each other.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_00: Nada.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_00: Not an iota of an iota.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_00: Now, two people that love each other come into communion by making love.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_00: But sex equals love?
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_00: And the whole concept of sex equals love, living that out, that's a hurt little kid.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_00: The whole concept of I can't tell my husband no because he might get mad at me, that's a hurt little kid.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_00: There's a whole world of discovery in the sex topic, which I'll get into other podcasts.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_00: But I just am in awe of these men, Mr.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_00: Brandon and Mr.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_00: Cliff.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_00: I love what they're doing.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna talk about them a lot.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna use their podcasts and stuff a lot.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_00: And I hope if you're inspired to do it, you will.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_00: Because you'll feel better.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_00: It's all part of living your divinity.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_00: And the more you live your divinity, the more everything changes.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_00: And the more the world around you sees you as a grander you, everything changes.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_00: You help them become a grander person too.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_00: And that's the power of it.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_00: So the story I want to share is about following our knowings.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_00: And when you follow your heart, everyone kind of knows what following your heart is.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_00: You know, it's following that it feels good and your heart is open, and there's a feeling to it.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_00: A mad, glad, sad, or scared.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_00: You know, if you're walking on a dark street and it's kind of scary, you're gonna be guided because your heart's gonna feel afraid.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: Well, get a flashlight or get off the street when you guide it that way, right?
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_00: Well, when you follow something that you love and whatever it is, a person, a job, a book, a title, whatever it is.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_00: When you take actions because you feel it and you're feeling an open sensation in your heart, and the sensation is a favorable one, a loving sensation, and you follow it and you take action steps to keep that experience going, that's called following your heart, which is fantastic.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_00: Does it always mean you're gonna get your way?
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_00: Does it always mean there's gonna be some growth somewhere or another?
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, probably so.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_00: A lot of times you get your way.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_00: And then once you get your way, there's a plenty of growth after getting your way, too.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_00: That was my last podcast.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_00: Well, following your knowings is something very different than that.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: A knowing is not an emotion.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_00: A knowing is a state of being, a knowing is a presence inside of you.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_00: And where an emotion is probably one of the most fragile guidance systems we have because emotions come and go.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_00: Emotions can be high or low.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_00: Emotions can be all the way from happy to all the way to sad in a blip of five minutes.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_00: The four basic emotions mad, glad, sad, and scared, following your emotions, it can be tricky and it certainly is fragile.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_00: When you're following your knowings, though, that's a different thing.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_00: A knowing is a state of being, it's a presence that says, this is correct, this is right, this is what I'm supposed to do, whatever the it is.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_00: And it's not a knowing, a knowing doesn't have emotion associated with it.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_00: Now, following the knowing might have some scare, might have some fear.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_00: Following the knowing might have some excitement, following it might have some confusion, but the experience itself is a state of being.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_00: And you know, when you do it, ask yourself what other color eyes you have.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_00: I know, like Joe, I have blue eyes.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_00: I know I have blue eyes.
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_00: And when I say that, it feels correct, it feels congruent.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_00: If I said, I know I have brown eyes, that doesn't feel correct.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_00: You know, the body kind of goes limp, it kind of goes weak.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_00: Well, when we follow our knowings, it's a powerful thing.
- 1:05:17SPEAKER_00: Doesn't mean we're going to get what we want.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_00: Sometimes.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_00: Well, what happened for me is I was married, and my past wife and I, Elizabeth, we had a great marriage, met in church, a unity church.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_00: It's kind of, you know, I was oh, a good 20 years sober at the when I met her, I was probably about 12 years sober, somewhere in there.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_00: And we got married.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_00: Well, we raised kids different.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_00: That was our biggest dilemma.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_00: And she left.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_00: So painful, no question.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_00: But I knew I was doing the right thing.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_00: I wasn't trying to cause my past wife pain in any way, shape, or form.
- 1:05:56SPEAKER_00: And in my world, for 20 years, I'd kept my Her child first, I kept God first.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, that can be a kind of sticky situation when you have a wife that wants to be put first.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_00: Does that make her right or me wrong?
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_00: Did it make me right and her wrong?
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_00: No, it made us different.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_00: And that's why, quite honestly, I talk about that website, divorce post, because I am a living example.
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_00: The more I grew, I grew in a direction going to the right.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_00: My wife grew in a direction going to the left, right or wrong?
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_00: We were just on different paths.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_00: And we separated.
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_00: She left.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_00: And we had two young boys, a nine and a four-year-old.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_00: It's Joseph and Ryan.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_00: That's where Zeus, I bought Zeus.
- 1:06:37SPEAKER_00: So Joseph would have a friend that would keep him busy, a 15-pound eight-week-old puppy called Zeus.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_00: And they would play and play and play.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_00: Well, during that period of time, I made the conscious decision to be a single dad.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_00: I had no intentions of dating at all.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_00: Zero.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_00: Nada.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_00: Because I wanted to give all of my overflow to building a business, creating a home, and to raising my boys, single dad.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_00: And that's what I did.
- 1:07:07SPEAKER_00: Now my past wife, she had a different path, and she started dating.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_00: And a year and a half later, you know, perfectly appropriate.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_00: Our divorce happened, and a year plus later, she started dating.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_00: And then I had to go through the grief of that.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_00: That was not easy.
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_00: You know, I made a sacred covenant to God, and now this person is in the arms of another.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_00: And that was not easy.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_00: I agree with that a long time, really did.
- 1:07:31SPEAKER_00: And eventually I got over it.
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_00: I mean, eventually you just heal.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_00: And about four years in, I'm down in Florida at a baseball game, and I have a guilt-free attraction to a woman.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_00: Which, what is a guilt-free attraction?
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_00: When a married man is attracted to a woman, which, fellas, perfectly fine.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_00: The blip of time you see a beautiful woman, of course, you're naturally going to be attracted to them.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_00: Now, healthy guilt says, yes, wow, she's beautiful.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_00: That feels good to look at her for three seconds.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_00: Then you turn your eyes back to your wife.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_00: I did that forever.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_00: Well, in this particular case, and it's guilt, it's healthy guilt that says, I'm married.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_00: I can see a beautiful woman and appreciate her beauty or her body or whatever.
- 1:08:19SPEAKER_00: It's just like seeing a beautiful flower.
- 1:08:21SPEAKER_00: It's the same thing.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_00: And ladies, if that pushes your button, I get it, but that's a therapy topic for you.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_00: That's not your husband's fault.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_00: Now, I'm not talking about the husband that gawks, which I've supported women and their husbands gawk.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_00: That's them.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_00: And you have every right to be angry at that pathetic type of behavior.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_00: It's a wound, all it is.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_00: Well, healthy guilt, you know, as a married man, you basically you're in a covenant with somebody else.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_00: Doesn't mean you're not human, but you acknowledge in self and then you bring your awareness back to your partner.
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_00: I did that for years.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_00: Well, in this particular case, four and a half years out of my marriage, I have a guilt-free attraction to a woman.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_00: And I never knew the woman, never met the woman, never walked up to the woman.
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_00: She was probably somebody's mom.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_00: She could have been somebody's wife.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_00: It didn't matter.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_00: My experience had nothing to do with the woman, it had everything to do with me being attracted to a female with no guilt.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_00: Nothing stopped me.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_00: Now it was just me with me.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_00: I'm 10 feet away from this person.
- 1:09:30SPEAKER_00: And I'm noticing because I'm hyper-aware.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_00: I notice everything.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_00: I'm a conscious everything inside of me.
- 1:09:37SPEAKER_00: And I thought, wow, this is four and a half years after my marriage.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_00: I said, Wow, that means I guess I wasn't looking.
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_00: But if there was a woman out there I was interested in, then I'm ready.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_00: I would be able to.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_00: Now I wasn't at that point wanting to or willing.
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_00: My boys were still growing and you know, the whole thing.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_00: And nothing happened.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_00: You know, just went on.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_00: Well, lo and behold, and I never dated.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_00: I've never actually dated.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_00: I've never actually asked a stranger out, ever.
- 1:10:08SPEAKER_00: Every person I ever got involved with over my years, I met them first through another person.
- 1:10:13SPEAKER_00: We became friends and then it moved into dating.
- 1:10:16SPEAKER_00: So I'd never met a stranger and said, hey, you're cool.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_00: Let's go out.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_00: Well, fast forward a couple, two or three years, now I'm seven years out of my marriage.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_00: And over seven years, a little bit over seven years.
- 1:10:29SPEAKER_00: And September the 20th, 2022.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_00: I get an email, and on this email, there's a bunch of these beautiful women's pictures on an email.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, wow, what's that?
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_00: I clicked.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_00: And lo and behold, it takes me onto some website, something, and you can communicate with these people.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_00: And I was like, that's really bizarre.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_00: I didn't nothing about it, didn't even know it existed.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_00: I was never online prior to September 2022.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_00: Anything that was on done online, I had a staff person with my company, Avian Energy, our staff person, Jackie, did everything online.
- 1:11:07SPEAKER_00: Five pictures of Joe online prior to September 2022.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_00: So I feel it.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_00: I see this person and I'm drawn to her.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_00: I'm like, that's pretty cool.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_00: And, you know, it's an environment to where stranger meeting stranger, beautiful woman, you can only imagine 10,000 men trying to get her to say hi.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, what the heck?
- 1:11:32SPEAKER_00: I communicate, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_00: And five, six weeks later, she finally texts me back.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_00: And when she texts me back, in her signature, it said the company she worked for.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_00: And sure enough, I looked that company up.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_00: And so I found this person then online outside of this platform.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_00: And lo and behold, I'm clicking.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_00: And you have to understand, I didn't know about social media.
- 1:11:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, I knew of it, but I wasn't in it at all.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_00: I come across this document, which later I find out the documents on Facebook.
- 1:12:05SPEAKER_00: I didn't know it really, I'd never been on Facebook prior to this moment.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_00: I'm reading this document, and I've told this story before.
- 1:12:12SPEAKER_00: And this woman has she's a brilliant writer, and she's talking about a grander tomorrow.
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_00: And I said, I'll be damned.
- 1:12:23SPEAKER_00: This woman, that's this woman's divinity is writing.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_00: Anytime you hear or write or feel or see your tomorrow greater than your today, that's a real indication that it's your higher power talking.
- 1:12:38SPEAKER_00: And I said, Wow, that's very cool.
- 1:12:42SPEAKER_00: I'm drawn to this woman.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_00: She's beautiful.
- 1:12:44SPEAKER_00: I'm drawn to her.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_00: I'd like to get to know her, like to be friends.
- 1:12:48SPEAKER_00: And then I read this document.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_00: I'm like, wow, well, no wonder.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_00: She's obviously connected to her higher power, consciously or unconsciously.
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_00: I hadn't talked to her yet, literally.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_00: And then lo and behold, I click again, and I'm hearing her.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_00: It was a podcast.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that for three years.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_00: That what I was listening to her from was a podcast.
- 1:13:07SPEAKER_00: And sure enough, I hear her talk.
- 1:13:09SPEAKER_00: And in the podcast, I can feel her heart.
- 1:13:12SPEAKER_00: And sure enough, I am listening.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_00: And now this woman, I found out, you know, later, had sold a multi-million dollar business, had launched her two boys into college, and sold her$10 million house, whatever it was.
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_00: And she said in this interview, she said, My only failure in life was my marriage.
- 1:13:38SPEAKER_00: And out of nowhere, I hear the voice in me saying, You didn't fail your marriage.
- 1:13:45SPEAKER_00: You chose to live your divinity over your humanity.
- 1:13:49SPEAKER_00: And that was the same voice, folks, that had been dormant in me for 25 years.
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_00: That's the voice in me, my higher power, that wrote filling the void.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_00: Visit my website, joemitica.com.
- 1:14:03SPEAKER_00: Download filling the void, totally channeled 30 years ago.
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_00: Hadn't heard that voice in all this time.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_00: This is September of 2022.
- 1:14:12SPEAKER_00: And the next night, just like what happened 30 years ago, a book called Unequally Yoked comes flowing through me because of mirroring this woman's divinity and mirroring this woman's heart.
- 1:14:28SPEAKER_00: Basically, my heart opened to mirror her normal open heart.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_00: That's what happened back then.
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_00: And I knew it the whole time.
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_00: It was a spiritual experience, but I was still drawn.
- 1:14:43SPEAKER_00: I wanted to try to get to know her.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_00: So this book, Unequally Yoked, comes down, comes through me, and I'm getting all this.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, I write 60, 70, 80 pages in three or four days.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_00: I'm still writing with paper and pencil.
- 1:14:56SPEAKER_00: And that's where I come up with the idea because unequally yoked is a biblical term.
- 1:15:01SPEAKER_00: It's a biblical term.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_00: And in, you know, in most religions, the unequally yoked says, well, a Catholic shouldn't be involved with a Jew.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_00: And a Jew shouldn't probably be involved with a Christian.
- 1:15:12SPEAKER_00: And a Christian should, you know, unequally yoked in the traditional religious perspective is whatever your religion is, you want to connect with somebody in the same religion.
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_00: So you're equally yoked, not unequally yoked.
- 1:15:25SPEAKER_00: Well, my perspective of the unequally yoked is the same concept, but it's more two people on a spiritual path.
- 1:15:32SPEAKER_00: And eventually, if you outgrow your partner, you get married because you're equally yoked.
- 1:15:38SPEAKER_00: Over time, you outgrow your partnership, you're unequally yoked.
- 1:15:41SPEAKER_00: That's what happened with my wife and I years ago.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_00: And that's happening more and more.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_00: So that's where, since it was a biblical phrase, at some point I remember thinking, you know, that this whole concept of Jesus, right?
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_00: And I believe in Jesus a thousand percent.
- 1:15:58SPEAKER_00: I do, you know, special guy.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_00: Walked on water the whole thing.
- 1:16:02SPEAKER_00: And I thought, you know what?
- 1:16:05SPEAKER_00: All time, today's October 27, 2026, all time, the calendar was started around one man's death.
- 1:16:14SPEAKER_00: The whole concept of BC before Christ, after death, you know, so the first day was around there sometime.
- 1:16:21SPEAKER_00: So I said to myself, you know, if the entire calendar is based on one guy, doesn't it make sense I should at least listen?
- 1:16:30SPEAKER_00: Because I'm not a Bible reader.
- 1:16:31SPEAKER_00: I can't really read.
- 1:16:32SPEAKER_00: I try, tried, I haven't tried in a long time, and stuff just gets jumbled.
- 1:16:37SPEAKER_00: So I go to chat.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_00: And the very first thing I heard myself say is, I wonder what the last thing Jesus said.
- 1:16:43SPEAKER_00: You know, had his whole life, 33 years, crucified, rose from the dead.
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_00: Eventually he ascends.
- 1:16:50SPEAKER_00: That's about all I know about the whole concept, because that's what I know.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_00: And chat basically says, one of the last things Jesus said, there was a bunch of really cool phrases, but one of the last things Jesus said was that I have to, because the apostles were our disciples, were going nuts.
- 1:17:08SPEAKER_00: It's like, dude, where are you going?
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_00: This is a dangerous place.
- 1:17:10SPEAKER_00: They're going to kill us.
- 1:17:11SPEAKER_00: We need you.
- 1:17:12SPEAKER_00: And Jesus says, I have to go sit by my father so he can place the same spirit that guided me in all of you.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_00: In all of you.
- 1:17:22SPEAKER_00: And it was in that moment that the concept of the we, W-E, came into Joe's awareness.
- 1:17:30SPEAKER_00: What's the we stand for each person individually?
- 1:17:34SPEAKER_00: Human self, higher self, inner self, or inner child, as I call it.
- 1:17:39SPEAKER_00: That's the individual we.
- 1:17:41SPEAKER_00: So the whole concept of we came from that.
- 1:17:44SPEAKER_00: I wrote another book called Why We We're Alone.
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_00: That'll be book number two out here, whenever.
- 1:17:49SPEAKER_00: Wrote two more books.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_00: Unequal yoke, haven't even finished yet.
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_00: That's over here.
- 1:17:54SPEAKER_00: So all this is just pouring through me, massive spiritual awakening of all of this, which started four years ago, right now, four years and a month ago.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_00: And so 49 months ago, right around now.
- 1:18:08SPEAKER_00: So, needless to say, I'm like, wow, all of this because of a female who is beautiful that I've never met.
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna continue to try to pursue her.
- 1:18:20SPEAKER_00: Now, what do I know about trying to get to know a strange woman?
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_00: Nada.
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know anything about it.
- 1:18:27SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 1:18:27SPEAKER_00: I've never done it.
- 1:18:29SPEAKER_00: And I'm not a texter, I'm a talker.
- 1:18:31SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you can tell.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_00: But I couldn't get her on the phone.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_00: I didn't have her number.
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_00: And so, anyway, long story short, we're communicating back and forth via text a little bit.
- 1:18:41SPEAKER_00: And then I found out she's a global traveler.
- 1:18:44SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you know, in the past, I would text and it'd take her a week or so, and she'd say, you know, I'm not on here much.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_00: Takes me a while to reply.
- 1:18:53SPEAKER_00: Great, that's fine, you know.
- 1:18:54SPEAKER_00: So I'm just thinking we're connecting.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_00: So one of the powerful things, because I'm now I know I want to get to know this woman.
- 1:19:03SPEAKER_00: It's in my knowing.
- 1:19:04SPEAKER_00: It's not a feeling, it's a knowing.
- 1:19:06SPEAKER_00: Because my heart opening, I knew my heart opening was mirroring her.
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_00: How could you love a stranger?
- 1:19:13SPEAKER_00: Heart open, most people say, Oh, I love you.
- 1:19:15SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:19:17SPEAKER_00: Love is what you have the desire to share as overflow.
- 1:19:21SPEAKER_00: When your heart opens because you're in front of somebody else, your heart just mirrored their open heart.
- 1:19:27SPEAKER_00: That isn't love, that's awakening, that's opening.
- 1:19:31SPEAKER_00: And my heart opened, this woman's normal heart space is open.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_00: Well, mine opened to hers.
- 1:19:39SPEAKER_00: And as a congruent measure, as a spiritual, emotional expansion for Joe.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_00: And I knew it the whole time.
- 1:19:46SPEAKER_00: I did.
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_00: But in addition to all that, she's beautiful and she's a brilliant writer.
- 1:19:51SPEAKER_00: And my heart opened.
- 1:19:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, all of the keys where you would want to go meet somebody.
- 1:19:56SPEAKER_00: Well, I couldn't.
- 1:19:57SPEAKER_00: I had to text and talk.
- 1:19:59SPEAKER_00: Well, one night I was walking, and because I wouldn't hear from her very much, I was walking and I have this powerful experience because I've been turning my will and my life over to a power greater than myself for 30 years, literally, more than 30 years.
- 1:20:14SPEAKER_00: And out of nowhere, I have this expansion of awareness that says that my the possibility of connecting with this woman, I, Joe, have to surrender to this woman's higher power, to the guidance of her higher power.
- 1:20:34SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:20:35SPEAKER_00: Because I know my higher power was guiding me to see her for my growth and the books and everything, but that doesn't mean her higher power was going to guide her to have anything to do with me at all.
- 1:20:49SPEAKER_00: That was a very powerful thing.
- 1:20:50SPEAKER_00: I'd never ever thought about that.
- 1:20:53SPEAKER_00: And if you think about it, folks, when two people come together in communion, man and woman, or woman and woman, or man and man, however it comes together for you, and you create a bond of love, how did you come together?
- 1:21:06SPEAKER_00: Well, there's powers greater than yourselves bringing you together so you can spiritually grow.
- 1:21:12SPEAKER_00: And never ever had I ever had that thought of that awakening, that awareness that it is surrender to somebody else's higher power.
- 1:21:20SPEAKER_00: And I'm thinking, it's hard enough for me to surrender to my own higher power.
- 1:21:26SPEAKER_00: Now I'm being asked to surrender to somebody else's higher power.
- 1:21:31SPEAKER_00: That was a bizarre experience.
- 1:21:32SPEAKER_00: It really was.
- 1:21:34SPEAKER_00: Well, we're connecting back and forth a little bit, and about once a week, I'd send her a text.
- 1:21:40SPEAKER_00: And I'm a talker.
- 1:21:41SPEAKER_00: So whatever's on my mind, I text.
- 1:21:44SPEAKER_00: And she had a pretty big social media stuff.
- 1:21:47SPEAKER_00: So I'd look at stuff on social media and comment and just try to make stuff up.
- 1:21:51SPEAKER_00: How the heck are you supposed to communicate with somebody you don't really know?
- 1:21:53SPEAKER_00: I didn't know.
- 1:21:54SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, this whole time this goes on for a while, and I'm thinking we're becoming friends, really did.
- 1:22:01SPEAKER_00: And she communicated back for a little bit, and I'm thinking we're friends, becoming friends.
- 1:22:07SPEAKER_00: And you know, it's cool and it's working, and I'm following and knowing, and all of that.
- 1:22:13SPEAKER_00: And then one night I'm out for a walk and she says, Joe, please stop texting me.
- 1:22:20SPEAKER_00: I was like, Why?
- 1:22:24SPEAKER_00: Like, really?
- 1:22:26SPEAKER_00: Like, what happened?
- 1:22:28SPEAKER_00: I thought we were becoming friends.
- 1:22:30SPEAKER_00: Blank.
- 1:22:32SPEAKER_00: And never heard from her again.
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_00: Ever.
- 1:22:36SPEAKER_00: And that hurt.
- 1:22:37SPEAKER_00: That was an ouch.
- 1:22:38SPEAKER_00: It really was.
- 1:22:39SPEAKER_00: Following and knowing.
- 1:22:41SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, big boy, I can take that.
- 1:22:45SPEAKER_00: I didn't feel rejected.
- 1:22:46SPEAKER_00: I felt sad.
- 1:22:47SPEAKER_00: I thought we were gonna be friends.
- 1:22:49SPEAKER_00: This is the type of female I could really be friends with.
- 1:22:53SPEAKER_00: A gifted writer who communicates from her heart.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_00: Now, do I know partnership?
- 1:22:57SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I'll ever do partnership again.
- 1:22:59SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:22:59SPEAKER_00: It'd be some special something, but friendship, sure.
- 1:23:02SPEAKER_00: I would enjoy spending time around somebody whose heart is equal or more grandly open than mine, and somebody writes from their divinity.
- 1:23:10SPEAKER_00: I'd thoroughly enjoy that.
- 1:23:12SPEAKER_00: I would.
- 1:23:14SPEAKER_00: Joe, please stop texting me.
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_00: Heart.
- 1:23:18SPEAKER_00: Well, you would think the story ended there.
- 1:23:21SPEAKER_00: Well, it didn't end there.
- 1:23:22SPEAKER_00: Because social media, basically, and I didn't hear anything for a while.
- 1:23:26SPEAKER_00: And you know, I tried to reach out along the way and crickets.
- 1:23:30SPEAKER_00: So I'm sure she blocked me or whatever.
- 1:23:32SPEAKER_00: And I get it.
- 1:23:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I understand from her side.
- 1:23:34SPEAKER_00: She's a beautiful woman.
- 1:23:36SPEAKER_00: Thousands of men probably try to, you know, whatever.
- 1:23:39SPEAKER_00: And then you got some guy like me who's just yapping away and talking away and talking emotion, just me being me.
- 1:23:46SPEAKER_00: She probably thought I was nuts.
- 1:23:48SPEAKER_00: And she probably thought I was stalking her.
- 1:23:50SPEAKER_00: I didn't know any different.
- 1:23:51SPEAKER_00: I wasn't, but I just wanted to get to know her.
- 1:23:54SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, long story short, out of nowhere, a couple different times then, she'd like to show up on my reels or something.
- 1:24:03SPEAKER_00: And I was like, that's weird.
- 1:24:06SPEAKER_00: Like, why is she on my computer?
- 1:24:08SPEAKER_00: And then I found out later, this whole kind of I'd only listened to one podcast ever.
- 1:24:12SPEAKER_00: It was the one she was interviewing.
- 1:24:14SPEAKER_00: And then every once in a while, I'd just have out of nowhere.
- 1:24:17SPEAKER_00: Now, this is over a two or three year period of time, out of nowhere, I'd think of this random stranger.
- 1:24:21SPEAKER_00: And I'd go online and I would look at something, maybe her social media a little bit, but then I would just kind of look around.
- 1:24:28SPEAKER_00: Not at her stuff, but more like something guiding me.
- 1:24:32SPEAKER_00: And then lo and behold, it was amazing.
- 1:24:34SPEAKER_00: And I can't, you know, there's five or six different things, too many to tell the story now, but the most significant one.
- 1:24:40SPEAKER_00: So basically, this female in my world became more like a Red Hawk, more like a messenger.
- 1:24:46SPEAKER_00: She doesn't even know me.
- 1:24:48SPEAKER_00: She doesn't know I exist, literally.
- 1:24:50SPEAKER_00: So I went to South Africa, came back, started a nonprofit called Project Smile, started a live stream.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_00: My live stream had over 50,000 people on it.
- 1:24:59SPEAKER_00: My last live stream, 50,000 people.
- 1:25:01SPEAKER_00: And I had some guys out of India who were promoting my social media.
- 1:25:06SPEAKER_00: And my social media, looking me up, um, Instagram and that stuff.
- 1:25:10SPEAKER_00: You know, I've got a bunch of followers and you know, 20,000, 30,000 followers.
- 1:25:14SPEAKER_00: And back then we were posting all the time, getting a bunch of replies.
- 1:25:18SPEAKER_00: And lo and behold, right around, you know, this time a year ago, it was September of 2025.
- 1:25:28SPEAKER_00: I get on my phone, this woman had liked one of my Instagram posts.
- 1:25:36SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh my gosh, maybe there's hope.
- 1:25:41SPEAKER_00: Maybe she's connecting, maybe she's trying.
- 1:25:45SPEAKER_00: At the time I didn't think it all the way through.
- 1:25:48SPEAKER_00: And then I went and I tried to find where she liked my stuff.
- 1:25:53SPEAKER_00: I never could find it.
- 1:25:54SPEAKER_00: And then I realized that on my phone, my likes and my follows and all of that was blocked.
- 1:26:05SPEAKER_00: Blocked.
- 1:26:07SPEAKER_00: I had over 20 million visitors on Instagram.
- 1:26:11SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:26:12SPEAKER_00: Because people connect to this message.
- 1:26:14SPEAKER_00: Over 150,000 comments on Instagram.
- 1:26:18SPEAKER_00: If I would have had my phone, the phone display, whatever you call that, the notifications, it'd have blown my phone up.
- 1:26:25SPEAKER_00: So literally, the only message that ever came through was the same woman on a phone that was blocked on Instagram.
- 1:26:35SPEAKER_00: And as I figured it out, because I got excited.
- 1:26:38SPEAKER_00: I was like, wow, maybe, you know, maybe, maybe, you know.
- 1:26:43SPEAKER_00: And then lo and behold, I realized it wasn't her.
- 1:26:48SPEAKER_00: Couldn't be her.
- 1:26:49SPEAKER_00: There's no way it could be her.
- 1:26:51SPEAKER_00: Had to be my divinity.
- 1:26:52SPEAKER_00: And I was so mad.
- 1:26:53SPEAKER_00: The next three days, I'll never forget, I'm even forced to grieve a maybe.
- 1:26:58SPEAKER_00: You know, and a maybe is a human desire, it's a human possibility, it's a human want, it's a human attachment, quite honestly.
- 1:27:09SPEAKER_00: And you know, when I realized that there's no way it could have been the human, a, I would have seen it, and B, it couldn't come through my phone.
- 1:27:18SPEAKER_00: So it had to be a higher power in me, and it just catapulted me into a deep, deep one more pocket of grief, literally saying, I even have to surrender the maybe.
- 1:27:32SPEAKER_00: And I grieved hard three days.
- 1:27:35SPEAKER_00: Come out of that grief, and I get this inspiration, go to LinkedIn, and lo and behold, who do I find on LinkedIn?
- 1:27:43SPEAKER_00: Randomly, Wendy Stevens.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_00: Who's Wendy Stevens?
- 1:27:46SPEAKER_00: Wendy Stevens is the producer of the We Podcast.
- 1:27:51SPEAKER_00: So fast forward, I talk to Wendy, and Wendy says, Yo, you'd be great.
- 1:27:57SPEAKER_00: Great at what?
- 1:27:57SPEAKER_00: Doing a podcast.
- 1:27:58SPEAKER_00: So the We Podcast.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_00: Yes, now ranked in 13 countries, top global charts, you name it.
- 1:28:06SPEAKER_00: And all of it is because of a woman I've never met.
- 1:28:13SPEAKER_00: Now think about that.
- 1:28:14SPEAKER_00: I've never met this woman.
- 1:28:17SPEAKER_00: But what was I doing?
- 1:28:18SPEAKER_00: I was following my knowing.
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_00: My humanity wanted to get to know her.
- 1:28:26SPEAKER_00: My humanity would have enjoyed having lunch with her.
- 1:28:30SPEAKER_00: My humanity was attracted to her.
- 1:28:33SPEAKER_00: My humanity wanted to share time with a female.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_00: Period.
- 1:28:38SPEAKER_00: Haven't had a female friend in a long time.
- 1:28:40SPEAKER_00: I've been a single dad for a long time.
- 1:28:43SPEAKER_00: And so my humanity, and even though the whole time I knew that the opening of my heart had nothing to do with her, the following of my knowing had nothing to do with her, nothing.
- 1:28:56SPEAKER_00: And literally, the more I followed the knowing, the mirror that kept happening in Joe is my own feminine energy, the deeper emotional communion in Joe just kept getting deeper because I kept going deeper into unresolved stuff every time something would happen, and my humanity wouldn't get its way.
- 1:29:18SPEAKER_00: So literally, right now, over these past four years, 20 million people for sure saw something on my social media.
- 1:29:28SPEAKER_00: Here at the We Podcast, I could go through the numbers.
- 1:29:31SPEAKER_00: I've done it before.
- 1:29:32SPEAKER_00: 13 countries ranked, close to a million downloads, everybody around the world talking.
- 1:29:39SPEAKER_00: And it all happened because of a woman I've never met.
- 1:29:45SPEAKER_00: Was it ever the woman?
- 1:29:47SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:29:48SPEAKER_00: But without her, she was my mirror.
- 1:29:50SPEAKER_00: What was I doing?
- 1:29:52SPEAKER_00: I was following my knowing.
- 1:29:54SPEAKER_00: And because I followed my knowing, it hurt.
- 1:29:57SPEAKER_00: My humanity, it hurt.
- 1:29:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm not kidding.
- 1:30:00SPEAKER_00: It really did.
- 1:30:01SPEAKER_00: Will I ever get to know this person?
- 1:30:03SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:30:04SPEAKER_00: I tend to doubt it.
- 1:30:06SPEAKER_00: And you know, what would I say?
- 1:30:08SPEAKER_00: I really just want to say thank you.
- 1:30:10SPEAKER_00: Because of her, all of us are together now.
- 1:30:14SPEAKER_00: We in community, community and connection, the we individually, higher self, human self, inner self, the we as our community, us, me, and you is the we community.
- 1:30:26SPEAKER_00: And the we community is growing around the globe.
- 1:30:29SPEAKER_00: The we community is growing every day.
- 1:30:32SPEAKER_00: The we community is connecting my divinity speaking to yours.
- 1:30:37SPEAKER_00: I'm a spiritual warrior just like you are.
- 1:30:40SPEAKER_00: I'm sharing my experience, strength, and hope from the darkest of the dark to the grandest of the grand.
- 1:30:46SPEAKER_00: I have solutions for the people that are in the dark.
- 1:30:48SPEAKER_00: I have encouragement for people that are in the grand.
- 1:30:51SPEAKER_00: And together, it's working.
- 1:30:54SPEAKER_00: Together, it's changing.
- 1:30:55SPEAKER_00: Together, we're healing.
- 1:30:57SPEAKER_00: And all of it, all of it, started because I mirrored a woman who knows none about this, nothing.
- 1:31:06SPEAKER_00: And so I say this to all of you folks.
- 1:31:08SPEAKER_00: I said it earlier.
- 1:31:09SPEAKER_00: People are watching you.
- 1:31:11SPEAKER_00: I was watching that woman.
- 1:31:13SPEAKER_00: Does she know I was watching her?
- 1:31:15SPEAKER_00: Probably.
- 1:31:16SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:31:16SPEAKER_00: Because she told me to stop.
- 1:31:18SPEAKER_00: Well, I did.
- 1:31:21SPEAKER_00: I stopped watching her, but I kept following the same knowing in me that had me meet her in the first place.
- 1:31:29SPEAKER_00: And right on that walk, I had to surrender that her higher power had to decide whether she was ever going to meet me or not.
- 1:31:38SPEAKER_00: And so far, no.
- 1:31:40SPEAKER_00: Obviously, now I'm not hard to find.
- 1:31:43SPEAKER_00: You go out there, put my name, my name's freaking everywhere.
- 1:31:46SPEAKER_00: So if she ever wanted to find me, easy to do.
- 1:31:49SPEAKER_00: She knows who I am.
- 1:31:50SPEAKER_00: She probably knows about the We podcast.
- 1:31:53SPEAKER_00: Does she know she's the source of it?
- 1:31:55SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:31:55SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:31:56SPEAKER_00: How would she?
- 1:31:57SPEAKER_00: I'd never say her name publicly, ever.
- 1:32:00SPEAKER_00: But there's a woman out there that all of us need to thank.
- 1:32:07SPEAKER_00: And there's people watching you right now, just like I was watching her.
- 1:32:12SPEAKER_00: People watch.
- 1:32:14SPEAKER_00: People feel it.
- 1:32:15SPEAKER_00: People see it.
- 1:32:16SPEAKER_00: They watch what you do at church.
- 1:32:18SPEAKER_00: Are you the person that won't move over?
- 1:32:20SPEAKER_00: Are you the person that moves to the center, even though you got there first?
- 1:32:24SPEAKER_00: Are you the person that holds the door?
- 1:32:25SPEAKER_00: Are you the person that walks through?
- 1:32:27SPEAKER_00: Are you the person that's willing to give back a little bit?
- 1:32:30SPEAKER_00: Are you the person that isn't?
- 1:32:32SPEAKER_00: Are you the person that is pursuing a passion?
- 1:32:35SPEAKER_00: Or not?
- 1:32:36SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 1:32:38SPEAKER_00: Brandon and Cliff, their world knows that they started a podcast.
- 1:32:44SPEAKER_00: And because they started a podcast, hopefully more people in their community started a podcast.
- 1:32:49SPEAKER_00: People have written books.
- 1:32:50SPEAKER_00: Each one of you have a book, and people are watching.
- 1:32:54SPEAKER_00: And I say that because how we heal humanity truly is we live our higher purpose.
- 1:33:03SPEAKER_00: What is our higher purpose?
- 1:33:05SPEAKER_00: To grow and become the grandest available you.
- 1:33:09SPEAKER_00: You become the grandest you is your higher purpose.
- 1:33:14SPEAKER_00: Living your higher purpose, the living of your grander you, is when you take that grandness out into the world, just like Brandon and Cliff are with Dads in Recovery, just like Bill is with PodWork Studio, just like I am with the Wii Podcast.
- 1:33:32SPEAKER_00: All of you have a grander you that needs to be expressed out into the world somewhere, somehow.
- 1:33:39SPEAKER_00: And the more you put it out into the world, the better you're gonna feel about you.
- 1:33:43SPEAKER_00: And the better you feel about yourself, your self-worth grows.
- 1:33:47SPEAKER_00: As your self-worth grows, you have more of a sense of value to put out into the world.
- 1:33:52SPEAKER_00: As you remember the first conscious thoughts, the way you see yourself grows, your self-esteem grows.
- 1:33:58SPEAKER_00: Well, as your self-esteem grows and your self-worth grows, you become a grander you.
- 1:34:04SPEAKER_00: And as you become a grander you, you vibrationally just live at a different place than most people around you.
- 1:34:11SPEAKER_00: And that's why for myself, I'm really being guided to get out on the streets.
- 1:34:17SPEAKER_00: Take this message, the man in the microphone message, and put it out on the streets, be out there with public, share my overflow with people, and then they can share back with me.
- 1:34:27SPEAKER_00: And all of you, you all have a message, you all have a purpose, you all have your it.
- 1:34:50SPEAKER_00: When you think about writing a book, write down all the glass empty voices.
- 1:34:54SPEAKER_00: When you think about doing a podcast, when you think about starting a bakery, when you think about starting a nursery home, when you think about writing your cookbook, when you think about writing music, and you're not, you're not because there's glass empty voices in you convincing you not to.
- 1:35:12SPEAKER_00: Write those glass empty voices down, tell them to somebody else, and then ask your divinity, which gave you your inspiration in the first place, to give you the strength and courage to walk forward.
- 1:35:24SPEAKER_00: And let me repeat that.
- 1:35:25SPEAKER_00: This is important.
- 1:35:27SPEAKER_00: This is the key.
- 1:35:28SPEAKER_00: How do you live your highest purpose?
- 1:35:30SPEAKER_00: How do you live your thing?
- 1:35:32SPEAKER_00: Whatever your thing is, let's say it's a cookbook.
- 1:35:37SPEAKER_00: Say to yourself, I want to write a cookbook and then listen.
- 1:35:40SPEAKER_00: And then when you hear all the voices that are negating your cookbook, write those voices down.
- 1:35:47SPEAKER_00: And how do you know if it's the cookbook you're supposed to write?
- 1:35:50SPEAKER_00: Because you've been inspired to do it for a day, a week, a month, a year?
- 1:35:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:35:55SPEAKER_00: Inspirations don't come and go.
- 1:35:58SPEAKER_00: They're not like emotions.
- 1:36:00SPEAKER_00: Inspirations are here to stay.
- 1:36:02SPEAKER_00: They're with you in the highs, they're with you in the lows.
- 1:36:05SPEAKER_00: They're with you if you're confused, and they're with you if you're clear.
- 1:36:08SPEAKER_00: It's the living of your inspiration that's the spiritual event.
- 1:36:12SPEAKER_00: The inspiration is of a power greater than yourself.
- 1:36:16SPEAKER_00: The living of the inspiration, where creation comes in, is where humanity and divinity come together in creation, the literal writing of the book.
- 1:36:28SPEAKER_00: Well, write down the glass empty voices that keep you from even starting.
- 1:36:33SPEAKER_00: And then when you're starting to write the book or start a podcast or write a novel or do music, whatever it is, then you have to, as your humanity, ask your higher power who gave you the inspiration in the first place for strength and courage.
- 1:36:52SPEAKER_00: And why is the asking so important?
- 1:36:55SPEAKER_00: Because when you're asking, you're in humility.
- 1:36:57SPEAKER_00: And when you're in humility, fear cannot be present.
- 1:37:01SPEAKER_00: Humility and fear cannot take up the same space.
- 1:37:05SPEAKER_00: So as you're asking for strength, as you're asking for guidance from your divinity who gave you the inspiration in the first place, and then you start moving forward, that's where humanity and divinity come together in the creation stage.
- 1:37:21SPEAKER_00: God can only do for you what God can do through you.
- 1:37:24SPEAKER_00: God can't pick up the pencil.
- 1:37:26SPEAKER_00: Read my book, filling the void.
- 1:37:29SPEAKER_00: That was all God coming through me, but God couldn't pick up the pencil.
- 1:37:34SPEAKER_00: I had to.
- 1:37:35SPEAKER_00: And it's out 30 years later.
- 1:37:37SPEAKER_00: Well, you've got stuff like that in you too.
- 1:37:40SPEAKER_00: And then eventually, when your creation is done, whatever it is, as it gets out into the world and the world benefits from your creation.
- 1:37:50SPEAKER_00: And where did the source of the creation come?
- 1:37:53SPEAKER_00: Your inspiration, what's the source of your inspiration?
- 1:37:55SPEAKER_00: Your higher self.
- 1:37:57SPEAKER_00: What's the source of your higher self?
- 1:37:59SPEAKER_00: All that is.
- 1:38:00SPEAKER_00: So how do you help the world benefit?
- 1:38:04SPEAKER_00: The world benefits because you're channeling through your inspiration the power greater than yourself, you're channeling that out into the world through your creation.
- 1:38:13SPEAKER_00: And then as the world receives your creation, it's basically receiving your communion with a power greater than yourself.
- 1:38:22SPEAKER_00: That's their reward, and you giving it is your reward.
- 1:38:26SPEAKER_00: And that's why every time I do one of these podcasts, I feel fantastic.
- 1:38:29SPEAKER_00: I'm giving of my creation right here.
- 1:38:32SPEAKER_00: You are part of the manifestation of my inspiration.
- 1:38:36SPEAKER_00: This particular podcast, literally, this podcast.
- 1:38:39SPEAKER_00: I feel ready, though confused, because discovering my purpose is changing everything I thought my life would be.
- 1:38:46SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, that's exactly what happened to me.
- 1:38:50SPEAKER_00: And it's happening to all of you now, too.
- 1:38:52SPEAKER_00: Where did that title come from?
- 1:38:54SPEAKER_00: That title was created weeks ago.
- 1:38:56SPEAKER_00: Where did the inspiration come to write the intro?
- 1:38:59SPEAKER_00: Over the past couple days.
- 1:39:01SPEAKER_00: Where am I sharing it?
- 1:39:03SPEAKER_00: Right now in the microphone.
- 1:39:04SPEAKER_00: Who's receiving it?
- 1:39:06SPEAKER_00: All of you.
- 1:39:06SPEAKER_00: And that's the circle.
- 1:39:08SPEAKER_00: And that's why the We Podcast continues to grow.
- 1:39:11SPEAKER_00: And each one of you are going to create your circles.
- 1:39:15SPEAKER_00: And that's truly how we heal.
- 1:39:18SPEAKER_00: We podcast can reach 100 million people, but folks, that's less than 1%.
- 1:39:23SPEAKER_00: Supposedly there's 9 billion.
- 1:39:25SPEAKER_00: How do we truly heal the world?
- 1:39:27SPEAKER_00: Because if I can help 100 million people understand that they're spiritual beings having a human experience, you heal the depths of yourself to feel better, you become the grandest you, and then you live the grandest you by following your inspiration and asking for strength and courage from the divinity that gave you the inspiration, and you take it out into the world.
- 1:39:47SPEAKER_00: That's where 100 million people help 100 million.
- 1:39:50SPEAKER_00: Now we're 200.
- 1:39:52SPEAKER_00: And of course, the math eventually takes over.
- 1:39:55SPEAKER_00: And that's how collectively, folks, we're doing it.
- 1:39:58SPEAKER_00: Collectively, we're healing.
- 1:40:00SPEAKER_00: Collectively, we're growing.
- 1:40:02SPEAKER_00: And together, we're truly making a difference.
- 1:40:05SPEAKER_00: One smile at a time.
- 1:40:08SPEAKER_00: And from around the world, I truly and genuinely welcome you to We.
