Early Monday morning, chaos erupted at the Bertie-Martin Regional Detention Center in North Carolina when inmates overpowered guards, taking two hostage and briefly seizing control of parts of the facility. With only three officers on duty amid 88 inmates, the situation quickly escalated, prompting a full law enforcement response.
