- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Hi and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Tips, where every episode we discuss and dissect an episode of Lost in Order while we drink.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: We are lost.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: We haven't done that in a while, have we?
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: No.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I'm Lisa.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: And today's episode is the season two finale, both parts of Live Together Dailone.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: What are you drinking today?
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: I'm having my very, very strong coffee.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: And I added a little bit of mudslide to it.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Good morning to me.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: I have some red wine, some Shiraz, but I didn't want to dirty another cup.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: So I threw it in my Star Wars coffee.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Well, Alex's Star Wars coffee mug.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Well, what's his is yours, what's yours is yours.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: You know how that goes.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Crush the resistance.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: Sums it up, right?
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: And rule the galaxy.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: I find that so fitting in this day and age.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Like, what's it say?
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Crush the resistance.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Can you see?
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: I think we I think we need to change that and say crush the oppressors.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: And then the inside, I don't know if you can see it.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Rule the galaxy.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: I see.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: How'd you like the episode overall?
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Overall, I have to say it was okay.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: I I'm not gonna lie, I did have a little bit more like the last two or three episodes.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: I said, this is really getting good.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: So I really had higher hopes for it.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: It kind of left me.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Oh god.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: It left me anti-it was very anticlimatic for me.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: And it left with me with so much more questions.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: I expected questions.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: I really did.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Don't get me wrong.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: I expected it to be like, ooh, ooh, but it left me with so many.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: I was like, it wasn't even fun anymore.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, now I'm disaggregated.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: Like by the end of part one of the season finale, I'm like, if these motherfuckers aren't dead already, I'm gonna kill them all because they're driving me up the wall.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Like, I was just like, because it was just so many fucking questions unanswered.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: I was like, I was like, it I because I I think a good cliff hanger leaves you with some satisfaction, and then more questions.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: This was left me with like yeah.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Okay, it's like a wet dream without coming, without having, without busting.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: So it was horrible for me.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Tokyo Toki then.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: And you thought it was gonna be a lock episode.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: I was also wrong.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Were you happily surprised?
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: I was happily surprised and kind of disappointed in myself.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh yeah, I should have seen it.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Like fucking Desmond just came back.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: I'm like, when did I see it?
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: You seem to know it was Desmond on the boat, so I know because I was like, What the hell?
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: I missed that one.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: I um I'm like, hello, Desmond just came back, and they never gave him his backstory, so I think it was kind of obvious it would have been him.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: But they tricked me with him, with Locke walking off into the sun, like off the beach.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: So, but no, disappointed.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: But I like Desmond.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: I was hoping I was waiting for him to come back.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Like I knew he was coming back.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: I just didn't know when, knowing lost, it would have been like the series finale.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: It would have been like, oh, by the way, remember him from like 6,000 episodes previously.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: But yeah.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Fucking loss.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Let's do flashbacks.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Ready?
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: Desmond is released from a military prison and dishonorably discharged from the British Army's Royal Scots Regiment.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: His possessions are returned to him, including a copy of Charles Dickens' Our Mutual Friend, and a photograph of him with a woman.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: He tells the guard that he's saving the book to be the last thing he reads before he dies.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Outside the prison, he is met by a sinister businessman in a limousine.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Who later we find out is Charles Whidmore.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: At that point, we don't know.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: And we also find out before we go on, but the flashback is and I felt like I was missing something.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Is Charles someone that I should know from previous episodes?
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: Was he mentioned anyway?
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: You should recognize the the last name, but not necessarily.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: So the last name I should have recognized, and I feel like that and something like was clawing at the back of my head, my brain.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: I was like, I feel like I should.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: There's some characters I'm like, oh should I miss that one.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: But him, I feel like the name, I was like, so you'll tell me later.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: Um, so Charles Whidmore is also the father of Desmond's estranged girlfriend, Penelope.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Whidmore reveals that he had intercepted all of Desmond's letters to Penelope, and that she was soon to be named, I'm sorry, and that she was soon to be married to another man.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: He offers Desmond a large sum of money to stay away from her.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: No contact, no clothes, no post.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: And when Desmond asks why he would accept such a deal, Widmore tells him that he will accept because he is a coward.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Sometime in 2001, Desmond arrives in the United States where a stranger buys him a coffee.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: I was excited to see her.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: And so this is now number three.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: And I thought about you.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: He tells her that he needs money to obtain a boat to win back his honor in a race.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: The race is a solo sailing trip around the world and it's sponsored by Charles Whidmore.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: He shows her the pamphlet.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: He wants to beat him at his own race and win back the love of his life.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Desmond adds that he still has no boat, and Libby reveals that she has a boat that belongs to her husband, David.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: And Desmond's middle name is David.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: Is it?
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: I was wondering why she it was kind of like there were certain certain things that were said and done, and I was like, is there something I'm missing?
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: And like I felt like we should have known the name of something.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Well, it said when he's uh uh dishonorably discharged, they say his full name.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: For name.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: So that was a little click.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: His full name is Desmond David Hume.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: But like but David Hume.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: Cheeky, okay.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: Cheeky name.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: I respect you.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Lost Writers, for keeping us on our toes.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Uh her husband had wanted to sail the Mediterranean, but wasn't able to, and died the previous month.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Libby wanted uh Desmond to have the boat, and the boat was named after her, the Elizabeth.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: Desmond protests, but when she insists, he gratefully accepts, and he says that he shall win this race for love.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: So there you go, another connection.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Not just Libby meeting someone, but the boat.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: The reason he's even on the island.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: And I was like, oh, he they missed each other by one fucking day.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: I was like, what a brain fuck that would have been.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: It's almost kind of um like um I'm I can't I can't really think of the word, but like it was Libby's boat, and it appears as Libby is being buried.
- 7:56SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Like that's when it that's when it comes back.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: It's almost like she's still there in some sense.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: Later in Los Angeles, Desmond is preparing to run the steps of the sports stadium, the Tour de Stade, where Jack, a stranger, arrives to do the same.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: Penelope arrives unexpectedly, having tracked Desmond down and confronts him.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: She asks him sarcastically whether he has read the book Our Mutual Friend, and why he didn't write to her.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: But Desmond does not answer.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: She reveals she hasn't yet set a date for her marriage.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: Desmond tells her he'll be back in a year, but she asks, why not now?
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: She then asks, What is he running from?
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: And Desmond says that he has to win the race sponsored by her father to regain his honor, which is which is what he is running to.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: The timeline isn't super clear.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: But you could kind of guesstimate, you could ballpark it.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: We learned that Desmond was dishonorably discharged from the army or from the military.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: He spent time in prison.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Um he has a connection to somebody named Widmore, whose name we have seen on the island.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: Remember on the pregnancy test?
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, so I didn't remember that.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: No.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: I never would have on the pregnancy test, it was like Whidmore Labs or something like that.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: That was something.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: No, I never I never remembered it on my own.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Um and Libby, it's not like official, but you could probably guess that maybe after her husband died, maybe that's why she was in the institution.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: I feel like she had a breakdown, which you know, yeah.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: That's why that's I wrote that in my notes too.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: And the woman that plays um Penelope, I totally have a girl crush on her.
- 10:07SPEAKER_01: So she's played in I don't remember her last name.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Vulgar, Vulgar, or something like that.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: She always plays like a badass character.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: Like, did you see the librarian?
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: I love the librarian movies and the TV show.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: So she was in the first movie as the librarian's like guardian, like protector.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: And she just I like badass chicks, so she's always a badass chick.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: And then, do you see that other show?
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: It was only for one season, The Catch?
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: No, she was like Jewel Thief, can artist kind of anyway.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so I got I'm like, oh, I hope she stays in the series because I like her.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: Girl Crush.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, so now these are the on island flashbacks because we just saw what led him up to getting to the island.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: So I this is is this the first episode where you have a mix of off-island flashbacks with on island flashbacks?
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: It might be.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: I saw something.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: Yay! I can probably points a good girl.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: During the boat race around the world, Desmond is caught in a heavy storm.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: He goes into his cabin, puts his book in a plastic bag for protection, and takes it with him.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: He is knocked unconscious.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: He washes up on a shoreline, dazed, and sees a figure in a yellow hazmat suit.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: A man collects him from the beach and brings him inside the swan station.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: This man asks Desmond if he is him.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: As a test, he asks Desmond the snowman joke, but Desmond does not understand.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: The man reveals himself to be named Kelvin Inman.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Did you recognize him?
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: I recognize him, yes.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: From where?
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: Isn't that the I want the boy?
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: Like he's one of the he's one of the others.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: Wait, no.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: No, he's not.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: Brain fart.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: No, that's what I thought when I first like at first I'm like, is that no, it's not.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: Um, but of course, I was like, wait, where is he?
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: But I know his face, I don't remember where I saw him know his face.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Up until up until this point, um like when we first meet Desmond, he talks about Kelvin.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Like, you only hear like what Kelvin said.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: And when we when we saw him previously, we only knew him by his last name.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: He was in the we saw him in Said's flashback.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, yes, the guy, the American.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: Shit, I knew there was something.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: No, for a half second, when he first, when you first saw him, I was like, oh, is that I'm like, oh no, that's not him.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: And then I'm like, that's the American.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that's the one that gave him the money.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Yes, and said Said on his way.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: Then because what did they call him the American or something like that?
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Maybe knowledge him that way, or I don't know.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: He's like that way, the flashback.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: I think in the synopsis, I think he was called anyway.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: But yeah, fuck.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: Back to my original point.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: It's like that listen, everyone's connected to everyone.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: So no, it's just the odds no.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: No.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: That's why I still think they're all dead.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: If not, they should be, because they drive me crazy.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Desmond asks about the boat, but Calvin says that no boat was found.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: The beeping starts and he enters the numbers, and Desmond asks him what that was for.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Just saving the world, he replies.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: He then enlists Desmond at I'm sorry.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: He then enlists Desmond as his Swan Station partner after showing him the Swan Orientation film.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Desmond asks why there are missing parts in the video, and Calvin replies that his old partner Radzinski has edited the film.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Calvin adds that he is wearing the yellow suit so that he does not get infected.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: He then shows Desmond a vial of vaccine and an injector, and instructs him to inject himself every nine days because he was outside for a long time.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: After living with him for about two years, Desmond saw Kelvin trigger a fake lockdown many times, and one day, Desmond did it himself under Kelvin's instructions.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Kelvin then continued his project of painting the map seen by Locke with detergent.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: So now we know how the map got there.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: So it wasn't part of it Swan Station.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: You're low again.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: He revealed that his partner, Radzinski, was the one who figured out how to trick trigger fake lockdown, and that it was also he who had the idea of creating the map.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Desmond was getting impatient with the fact that Redzinski invented everything, yet he does not know what happened to him.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Kelvin reveals that Radzinski had killed himself with a shotgun while Kelvin was asleep, leaving a stain on the ceiling.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Kelvin only had 108 minutes to bury him.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: Desmond then complains that he has not left the hatch since his arrival, but Kelvin reminds him of the quarantine and the hostels.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Desmond has not been outside for two years and asks if he can go out, saying that he was in the army, but Kelvin once again reminds him that he was kicked out because he couldn't follow orders.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: Kelvin says that he left his army because men followed his orders.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: But then he joined the Dharma initiative, and Kelvin adds that Des must follow his orders and stay inside to push the button.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: So Desmond left the army because he couldn't follow orders, and Kelvin left the army because people did follow his orders.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: So we don't really get like much but two men from the army in this hatch.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: And Kelvin admits that he joined the Dharma initiative.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: So I don't know if that means anything to you.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Sometime later, Desmond wakes to the sound of the alarm.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Only 45 seconds are left, and Kelvin is nowhere to be found.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: He enters the numbers and notices an open entrance to an underground lever.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: He finds Kelvin drunk under the unknown floor access to the control room with the key just above a lock marked caution system termination.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: Kelvin says that he couldn't do it.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: Des is intrigued by the key and the lock.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: Kelvin explains that this is the only other way out.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: It's the fail safe.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: And behind the wall is the source of electromagnetism, geologically unique.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: He also claims that the incident had been a leak from the source.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: So now the charge builds up, and every time we push the button, it discharges it before it gets too big.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Desmond does not understand why a human has to push the button every 108 minutes, and Kelvin then questions whether Desmond himself would have the courage to release the pressure using the failsafe, using an analogy of blowing a dam.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: One day, Desmond notices that the hazmat suit has a large chair in it while Kelvin is preparing to go outside.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: Desmond realizes that he had been deceived about the quarantine.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: A realization that was quickly confirmed after he followed Kelvin outside and saw him remove the suit.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: As he continues following Kelvin, eventually they arrive at a cove.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: There, Des sees his sailboat, almost completely repaired, at which point Kelvin announces he was aware of Desmond's presence as he was a spook for ten years.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Desmond confronts him and becomes increasingly emotional.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: While Kelvin resignedly admits he had been going outside to repair Desmond's boat to leave the island, screw the button, man, who knows if it's even real?
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: Believing he could have left the island a long time ago, Desmond becomes enraged and throws himself at Kelvin, accidentally smashing his head against the rock and killing him.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: After the shock subsides, Desmond quickly takes the failsafe key from Kelvin and sprints back to the hatch, where the countdown has already reached zero.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: The hieroglyphs are locked in on the timer and system failure alarms are in effect.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: As Desmond struggles to remain calm enough to input the number sequence, the entire hatch visibly shutters, while metallic objects begin flying toward the magnetic wall area.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: The shaking and alarms end as Desmond finally enters the full sequence, resetting the timer.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Desmond sits drinking alcohol with the gun at a table in the hatch, possibly considering suicide.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: When he opens the book Our Mutual Friends in preparation to read it, he discovers an envelope containing Penelope's letter.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: The letter had been written before he entered prison.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: In it, she explains that she has hidden the letter in the one place you return in a moment of great desperation, which explains why she had asked about the book at their encounter at the stadium.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: The letter was a message of love and hope in the midst of despair, and ended with all we really need to survive is one person who truly loves us, and you have her.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: I will wait for you.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Always.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: He mutters and shouts, it's all gone.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: The letter enrages him, and he begins to throw about the contents of the hatch.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: At that moment, he hears the sound of someone else screaming in despair and pounding on a wall.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: That person is Locke pounding on the hatch after Boone's death.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Loc looks up the hatch entrance and turns a light into the hatch window, placating Locke and calming Desmond from thoughts of suicide.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: He smiles in happiness.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Okay, so now this is like real time.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: We're gonna go into real time.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: With the arrival of the sailboat during Libby and Anna Lucia's funeral, Jack Sawyer and Saeed then swim to the vessel with guns and discover a drunk Desmond inside the cabin.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: That night on the beach, he reveals that he had attempted to sail towards Fiji, but although he followed a good compass bearing and was making good running for two weeks, he still found himself back to the island.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: He adds that we are stuck in a bloody snow globe.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: There's no outside world, there's no escape.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Desmond finally asks Jack if they are still pushing it, to which Jack replies with a smile with a smile, yeah, we're still pushing it.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: Said recounts to Jack his suspicions about Michael and his plan for Walt's rescue.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: The arrival of Desmond's boat inspires him to ask Jack to use it for a secret flanking mission maneuver on the others' camp before Jack and the rescue mission arrive.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: There, Saeed would make up a fire and black smoke would arise so that this time they would know we are coming.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: What'd you think of his plan?
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, it wasn't much of a I mean, there's only so much details you can have before you know what's going.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think it was a decent.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: Starts to a plan because not like they surveyed the whole area, they can detail it from beginning to end.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: I think it was a great plan.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: The fact that he had a plan, that's one.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: So like you got to be.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: But he thought ahead, right?
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: So um fucking Jack later on.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm looking at him like, dude, really?
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Really, dude?
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: But go ahead.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Jack, Kate, Michael Sawyer, and Hurley prepare themselves for the rescue trek across the island.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: Kate argues that the others are not who they say they are.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: They are not hillbillies, but Michael replies that he knows what he saw.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: They leave.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: At her tent, Claire is about to do the weekly injection to Aaron, but Desmond interrupts saying that she's wasting her time.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: He says that he shot himself with that every nine days for three years.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Then they talk about Aaron's dad who left Claire and the baby alone.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Said goes to Desmond to ask for his boat as he wants to get off.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: Shit is so fucking small and my glasses are downstairs.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Said goes to Desmond to ask for the boat as he wants to get to the other side of the island quickly.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Desmond asks if Saeed is going to see the hostels.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: Said doesn't know who he's talking about and Desmond and Desmond reflects that ignor ignorance is bliss.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: Desmond gives the boat to Saeed but won't be the pilot for the sailboat.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: Said asks Jinn who refused who refuses, saying he is not leaving Sun.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Sun has other plans and tells Jin that they won't be apart because she is coming too.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Said packs a gun and some ammo on the small boat.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Said is surprised to see Sun accompanying Jin, but Sun says that he needs someone to translate and at least two people who know how to sail.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: The next day on the boat, Sun bomb What?
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: You know my you know my my theory.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: There we go.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: More alcohol.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: I like the part when he's when um when she mentioned like you need two people how to sail.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: He was like, David did it.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: She's like, and look what that look what I left him.
- 24:47SPEAKER_01: I said Devin.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: Desmond.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: We all know.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Is that mudslide?
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Hello, lover.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: Um so I like her more and more.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: Not that I never, I not that I never disliked her, yeah.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: But every time I'm like, girl, tell them.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: Like, girl power.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: She has that quiet strength that shuts people up in a heartbeat.
- 25:14SPEAKER_01: They're like, uh, uh, and Jim was like, up, you heard her.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: The next day on the boat, Sun vomits from morning sickness.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: Said Jen and Sons see the remnants of a giant statue on a shoreline of a four-toed foot.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: So that reminded me of like the old, I can't remember.
- 25:37SPEAKER_01: I don't know, it's like um in the movies, they always have like the like the titans and all those other mythos Greek and Roman mythologies, and the and coming into the land, they have like these humongous, unbelievable sty giant statues of their gods and whatever.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: It gives you an idea how big the titans really are and all the other fun stuff.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: I can't no no particular movie, but that reminded me of that of these statues and the gateway of their land.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: It was like and then the four-toe thing kind of creeped me out too.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: But they That's what Saeed said.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: He said, I don't know what's more disquieting, the fact that the rest of the statue is missing or that it has four toes.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Soon after, Sun Jin and Said arrive at the other's camp.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: When Saeed climbs up to the camp to investigate, he discovers that all the huts are abandoned.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: He approaches the adar the Dharma station at the camp and discovers only a rock wall behind the door.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: This led to when I saw this scene, it led me to like want to curse Jack out.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: I think um as far as when it happened and when it's written, it's slightly different.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: But we'll get to it.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: On the way across the jungle, Sawyer encounters a doll, but Kate prevents him from touching it, saying that it was a trap of Rousseau's and that they it would trigger a net.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Sawyer then talks about the misunderstanding of Jack saying that he and Kate got caught in a net.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: And Kate asks him, Since when do he and Jack talk about her?
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: Suddenly the party encounters a large bird, much like the one from the from Exodus Part 2, and Hurley believes it squawks his name.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Michael tries to shoot it, but his gun has no ammo.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Michael is shocked and Jack says that he forgot to load it.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: Michael is suspicious.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: That night, the group has made camp.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: Sawyer offers a Dharma Nutra bar to Hurley, who refuses, stating that he is not hungry.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: Michael seems to be deeply troubled by what happened earlier with the gun.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Jack sneaks up on him and asks him if he is alright.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: Jack then helps him Jack then helps him getting firewood.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: Michael thanks him for risking his life for his boy.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Jack replies, Live together, die alone man.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: In the morning, Sawyer theorizes on who are the others.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: Dharma folks, aliens?
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: As the group is walking alongside a small river, Kate spots two others stalking them on the other side.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: They begin the short jungle skirmish.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Once again, Kate proving how useful she is.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: Because no one else noticed.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: But I think that was part of the reason they wanted certain people.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously, they had their reasons.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Like Hurley, I've still like I'm still like, why the hell did they want Hurley?
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, you go on and have something Jack does right after this, and I'm like, yeah.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Michael gets upset that at this, whereupon Jack confronts him about his betrayal.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Michael is forced to tell the truth, admitting that he killed Anna Lucia and Libby and let the false Henry Gale go, and led the rescue party based on instructions from the others so that he could free Walt.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: He says they gave him a list with the names of people who who he had to bring.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: Hurley wants to go back, but Jack then convinces the skeptical party to continue onward, revealing Saeed's plan.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Jack says that the others will kill them all if they think the survivors don't trust Michael.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: So right after the skirmish, and one of them got away, and Jack was like, No, let him go.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: And then he was like, Well, how do you whatever?
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: And it all came out.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: And notice Jack said his plan.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: Like in the scene, he was like, I have a plan.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: No, Jack, Saeed had a plan.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: But anyway, um, so when he let the other guy go and they didn't even try to, my initial thought was when he gets back to his camp, do you not think that's gonna affect possibly what they do and may affect Said's plan?
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: Like, does that don't you think that they may not know Said's there, but them not being there affects his part of the plan?
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: Like, they don't know now, they don't know anything.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: They don't know where they're at, they don't know what's going on.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: So I'm looking at him like, you really have no planning, no strategic sense of anything.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Like, he really shouldn't be the de facto leader.
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: Like, common sense would tell you, like, okay, no one can get away.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: Like, no one can know that we know.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: Like, they need to still think that we're not on to them.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: And by him getting away, obviously, we now know what they're gonna know, and their plan changes.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: Anyway, and as we see later on, because the scene where Said and them ended up looking at the huts happened, it's aired after this happens.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: I'm like, see, look, look.
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: I'm sure them not being there may or may not have anything to do with them letting the guy go.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, I was gonna piss that Jack for a minute.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm done.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: The group soon the group soon after stumbles upon an enormous mound of pneumatic tube containers, a capsule dump.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Sawyer finds amongst the containers, locks map to the Pearl Station.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: Jack C Sae Okay, wait, so in the video, I don't I don't remember if it specifically said where it was going, but it said you're gonna send it, it says you're gonna basically send it to us through the tube.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: And then you see a shitload, like hundreds of these journals, and it just like it gets shot out and it ends up there.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: Like I think they go just like Yeah, but I'm saying, but it's just like in the middle of nowhere and locks maps, so you know that that's exactly where those are coming from.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: At this point, I was like, oh, my thought was the idea that it's just an experiment was fake.
- 31:59SPEAKER_01: Like they're actually hitting the button for a reason and they're trying to lie to them to make them think that it isn't mean anything.
- 32:07SPEAKER_01: Did I say that right?
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: I think so.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: Like cause because after watching that that video at the Pearl Station, you're like, oh, the button is just an experiment, it doesn't mean shit.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile, back at the farm, them jotting down the experiment itself is just an experiment, it's just a it's it's a fake out.
- 32:26SPEAKER_01: Because obviously it goes kind of like everything's fine.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile, you know, the the place is about to explode.
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: Is that whole like, nope, no problems here, nothing to see here, people, as the building is burning.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: Like Yep.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: Jack sees Saeed Spoke signal unexpectedly far away.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: He confronts Michael, realizing that it was a double con as the party hears whispers and they are soon ambushed by the others who use stun guns, I'm sorry, stun darts and capture their entire party.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: Duh.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, let's just say you already know Michael is for whatever reason has been what's the one I'm looking for?
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: I can't think of the word.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: Compromised.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: So you already know that he's been covered, so you have to take whatever he says with a grain of salt.
- 33:15SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, it was just like or or could them letting the guy go set off plan B of their plan.
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Maybe they did have them to go through like anything you don't know because you fucked up, Jack.
- 33:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: The rescue party is brought by the others, including Alex, to appear.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: The polar ferry.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: This is the one that they talked about in the video.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: When they said and go to the polar ferry, so now we see the sign for it.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: They are gagged and tied, but Kate mumbles to Tom that she knows his beard is fake.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: Miss Clue inadvertently reveals his name as Tom, and Tom reveals her name as B.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: The false Henry Gale arrives in the motorboat and directs operations, revealing his status as their leader.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: No, I told you so or anything from you?
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: No, because honestly, as I'm watching it, I'm like, this was too easy.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: There's something else going on here.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: So I don't trust, even when I'm right, I don't trust it.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Back at the Swan Station, Locke's crisis of faith continues, and he tries to convince Echo to let the timer run down.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: John says that Echo doesn't want to be a slave, but the latter replies that he is a slave to nothing.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: Locke then says not to push the button, to which Echo replies, do not tell me what I can do.
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I noticed that I noticed the change in the wording and the same.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: It it's just it I love when you see them together because of their um duality.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: Locke then tries to destroy the computer with the Jesus stick, but Echo stops him.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: They fight and Echo locks him out of the hatch.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: Charlie discovers Locke weeping in the jungle and informs him of Desmond's return.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: Charlie adds that he pushed the button for too many times, referring to the fact that Desmond is crazed.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: Later that night, Desmond Locke asks Desmond what did one snowman say to the other, referring to the question Desmond asked when he first met, when they first met.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: And Desmond replies, Smells like carrots.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: Loc tells Desmond That's the thing I would say.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: I love that it's so fun.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: It's a funny joke.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: That's an Agnes joke.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: Locke tells Desmond about the revelations from the Pearl Orientation video that what happens in this one is a test, a psychological experiment.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: Desmond does not believe him, but Locke gives him the Pearl video.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: Desmond is curious, and together they decide not to push the button the next day.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: Why is Locke just walking around with the video?
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: Locke and Desmond trick Echo into leaving the computer room by triggering a false blackout.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: The electrical buzzing is still strongly present in the Swan corridor.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: Desmond and Locke rush into the computer room and lock Echo out with the false lockdown.
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: Echo leaves and notices the quarantine sign on the hatch's door.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: He asks Charlie how they blew up the door.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: Echo then returns to the hatch with Charlie and Dynamite.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: Charlie tries to convince Loc to open the door, but Desmond is sure that the blast door will hold.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: Charlie tells Echo that maybe it's an old computer connected to nothing.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: But Echo takes off Charlie's belt and throws it in the air where it is attracted by the magnetic wall.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: Charlie tries to leave as Echo sets and lights the dynamite fuse.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: Charlie runs to the corridor as the dynamite explodes and sends a fireball through the corridor.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: The blast door holds.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Desmond wants to open the door to see if they are hurt, but Locke says it could be a trick.
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: Desmond asks Locke why he wants to let the countdown go to zero.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: Is it because he has to look down the barrel of a gun to find out where he re what he really believes?
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: Locke said he already has done that and that he believed.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: He thought it was his destiny to get into this place and someone died because he was stupid enough to believe that I knew what I was talking about.
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: Locke tells Desmond that on the night that Boone died for nothing, he was sitting up there all alone yelling at the door when a light came on.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: He thought it was a sign that it was probably just Desmond going to the bathroom.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: But it was Desmond experiencing his crisis and turning on the light to see another human being above the hatched door in retrospect.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: Locke now took this supposed omen to be yet another example to doubt his earlier faith, while Desmond realized that Locke had saved his life as he was about to kill himself.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: Desmond asks Locke about the Pearl.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: Locke tells Desmond all about the notebooks, the TVs, the pneumatic tube, but Desmond thinks Locke has got it backwards.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: It's not them who are being monitored, but the people at the Pearl Station.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Desmond wants to see the pearl video, but there is no way to see it in the swan.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: Desmond asks Locke what else was down there?
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: Perhaps another computer.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Loc, you am I boring you?
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: I know this one is long.
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: I'm just my leg isn't working, so I'm just sitting here like trying to see if it's like if I'm sitting on a nerve or my nerves are just acting up.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: It's you know what the funny thing is, there's times where I'm like, my appendix don't work, but I'm in like awesome spirits, so I'm like, like I can make a joke of it.
- 39:26SPEAKER_01: Like great, more alcohol, great.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: You don't have to worry about walking unsteady because I can't walk steady anyway.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: Locke says that there was a printer that printed out numbers, lots of numbers.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: When Locke shows Desmond the log printout from the Pearl, Desmond discovers that the crash date of the ocean of the oceanic flight 18, September 22nd, is connected with the system failure entry in the log printout.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: That is the day he had accidentally killed Kelvin and did not enter the numbers in time.
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: Which means that Saeed could have been only a couple of days away from seeing Kelvin again.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: Had he lived.
- 40:17SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 40:19SPEAKER_01: Once again, too many coincidences for my liking.
- 40:23SPEAKER_01: But this has another big question for me.
- 40:26SPEAKER_01: This scene.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know what you're gonna say.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: Okay, now and you can maybe so if this happened, if him not hitting the thing in time caused the oceanic 815 to crash?
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: Hold that thought.
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: You already know where I'm going, don't you?
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: His conclusion is that this event is the cause of 815's crash.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: Oh he says, I think I crashed your plane.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: Okay, I think I slipped your battleship.
- 41:05SPEAKER_01: No, um so if this incident caused this crash, what did the incident cause?
- 41:16SPEAKER_01: The one that like did it cause another crash, a boat to shit, like that like what did it cause?
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: I feel like the connection is leading to another connection, and the fact that the incident is always just the incident makes me feel like is that where the others came from?
- 41:37SPEAKER_01: Like, did the crash, did the incident cause another accident, and that that's where the others came from?
- 41:44SPEAKER_01: Or as Kelvin called them, not Kelvin, Desmond called them the hostiles.
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: I'm assuming they're one and the same.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: That's why I'm assuming.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: Um interesting.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: Charlie wakes up with ringing in his ears.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: He finds Echo unconscious.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: Locke and Desmond continue to argue whether to push the button or not as the timer reaches close to zero.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: Their conversation becomes heated, leading Loc to smash the computer just as the countdown runs towards zero.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: You've killed us.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: You killed you've killed us all, says Desmond.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Locke replies, No, I've just saved us all.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: As the station is rocked by shaking and noise, Desmond opens the doors and finds the book he wanted to read before he died, our mutual friend.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: The fail-safe key is hidden in the book.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: He quickly tells Locke about the banging on the hatched exterior and that it was Loc that saved his life, so that he could now save his.
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: He is going to blow the dam.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: I'll see you in another life, brother.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, the timer reaches zero and flips into hieroglyphs as the system failure alarm progresses.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: Metallic objects begin to fly across the magnetic wall.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: No.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, the timer reaches zero and flips into hieroglyphics.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: As the system failure alarm progresses, metallic objects begin to fly across to the magnetic wall.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: Charlie revives Echo from the shock of the dynamite and tries to make his escape while Echo rushes into the control room, where he is met by a descent a despondent lock acknowledging his cataclysmic mistake, stating simply, I was wrong.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: Desmond turns the key while saying one last time, I love you, Penny.
- 43:41SPEAKER_00: He triggers the discharge, resulting in a flash of white and purple violet glow.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: After the discharge, a groaning noise is heard.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: The flash is visible by everyone across the whole island, which is engulfed in a bright white violet glow lasting nearly a minute that covers the entire sky, and by a loud, low droning sound, causing everyone to cover their ears in pain.
- 44:10SPEAKER_00: At the camp, during the discharge, Bernard moves Claire and Aaron to safety by avoiding the quarantine hatch door that falls from the sky.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: That was kind of like that buddy ha ha, but like okay.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: It felt like it was like a subtle ha ha fuck you.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: Like the fucking quarantine door is like is it it just almost killed you?
- 44:35SPEAKER_01: Like I think there's so many different it one, it didn't kill him, so does that mean there really no reason for a quarantine?
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: Is there's so many subtle nuances too?
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: They almost get killed by the fucking quarantine door.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: But yeah.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: After the discharge, the survivors are cleaning up the mess from the discharge when Charlie emerges from the jungle.
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: Bernard asks him what happened and if he was okay, to which a partially deaf Charlie tells him that he is fine.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: At the dock, Henry Gale closes the deal with Michael.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: Henry is not happy with the arrangement, but they got more than they bargained for when Walt joined them.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: Since he lived up to his word, Michael is given the boat and Walt and instructed to escape the island by following a bearing of 325 degrees to find rescue.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: Michael wonders whether that is all.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: He asks Henry how he knows he won't tell anyone about the island, but Henry replies that whether or not he tells people won't matter.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: Once he has left the island, he won't be able to come back.
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: Anyway, Henry believes that Michael won't tell anyone because if he does, people will find out what he did to get his son back.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: Michael is reassured that his friends would not be hurt as the deal's a deal.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: Finally, Michael asks Henry, Who are you people?
- 45:58SPEAKER_00: And Henry replies, We're the good guys.
- 46:02SPEAKER_00: As Michael is reunited with his son on the boat, Henry adds, Bon voyage, Michael.
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: Michael leaves.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: Jack, Sawyer, Kay, and Hurley stare at him, and Walt also sees the bound and gagged kneeling prisoners with guns pointed at them.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: The others also free Hurley, telling him that his mission is to tell the survivors never to come to the side of the island.
- 46:29SPEAKER_00: The rest of the prisoners are coming home with the others.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: Hurley looks at Jack, who with his eyes tells him to go.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: As Michael leaves on the boat, he looks one last time at an angry and betrayed Jack.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: Kate and Jack look at each other, not knowing what is going to happen to them.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: The captives are hooded by the others in preparation for transport.
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: Later that night, Charlie and Claire are near a fire.
- 46:59SPEAKER_00: Claire asks him what happened out there, and Charlie says that nothing happened.
- 47:04SPEAKER_00: Even though the sky turned purple and Charlie is hurt, Charlie and Claire reconcile, with Claire giving him a small kiss.
- 47:13SPEAKER_00: It only took two damn seasons.
- 47:18SPEAKER_00: Elsewhere in the Arctic Antarctic, two Portuguese speaking men are playing chess when one notices a flashing red light on a computer and a message on the computer screen reading Electromagnetic Anomaly Detected.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: How long has it been doing that?
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: asks one of the men.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: The other quickly opens a locked book and instruction manual.
- 47:44SPEAKER_00: That's it, isn't it?
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: We missed it again, one says, whilst the other quickly says, We didn't miss it.
- 47:50SPEAKER_00: An alarm sounds, so it's not a false alarm this time, the man asks, but the other one, agitated, replies, Shut up and call.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: One of them urgently makes a phone call with a phone that is a one-way direct to someone.
- 48:04SPEAKER_00: The phone rings somewhere.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: It is night.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: The receiving phone is on a bedside table with a photo on it that looks like the one of Desmond and Penny.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: A woman wakes and answers, Yes, the woman says.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: The man answers, it's us.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: I think we found it.
- 48:21SPEAKER_01: And the next episode ends.
- 48:24SPEAKER_01: Very interesting.
- 48:26SPEAKER_01: Um, so I remember I'm like, oh, she does say that it ends in Arctic and um Antarctica.
- 48:34SPEAKER_01: So I was like, oh, this is what they meant.
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: I was like, I expected something so much more crazy.
- 48:40SPEAKER_01: It was something quite simple.
- 48:42SPEAKER_01: Scientist.
- 48:43SPEAKER_01: Um, so in hindsight, Whidmore with the pregnancy tests, Whitboard Labs.
- 48:49SPEAKER_01: So obviously they're into science, there's some kind of laboratory.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: Um when um Desmond is showing Libby the book of the race, but he's saying that it's sponsored by Charles Whidmore.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: On the back, you see a picture of him, and all it says is like I think entreprene entrepreneur and philanthropist.
- 49:13SPEAKER_00: That's like all it says about him.
- 49:15SPEAKER_01: I couldn't see what it said.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: I just saw the picture of him and Kyle.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: But I it's funny, when they say that, if that's all they say, they're like, there's a deep shit, they're into some deep shit.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: Like you're like, wait, what?
- 49:28SPEAKER_01: Really interesting.
- 49:30SPEAKER_01: Um so when back to part one, when he was being discharged.
- 49:38SPEAKER_01: I know going way back.
- 49:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 49:40SPEAKER_01: And um he said that he's saving the books to it won't be the last thing he read before he died.
- 49:48SPEAKER_01: And the CEO was like, Well, that's all great, let you know you're gonna die.
- 49:52SPEAKER_01: And the look on his face, I was like, the look Desmond gave was kind of knowing, and I'm like, what the fuck?
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: So there's something, um, put down your notes that I need to like I made a mental note like that's weird, and we'll probably come out to like four seasons later that it meant nothing.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: But just in case it doesn't, mm-hmm.
- 50:16SPEAKER_01: Oh, here she goes again.
- 50:18SPEAKER_01: Um, hey, does Penny is she just is she only in flashbacks?
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: That she comes back more than once, right?
- 50:25SPEAKER_01: We see Penny this time we see Penny again.
- 50:27SPEAKER_00: Would you like me to do trivia?
- 50:29SPEAKER_00: I'll do trivia.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: First time does Penny come back.
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: Trivia.
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: This episode marks the first appearance of Penelope and Charles Whidmore.
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: I'm hitting you with a pillow.
- 50:40SPEAKER_00: You obviously didn't fucking listen to me.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: Did you hear what I just said?
- 50:47SPEAKER_01: No.
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: The first, yeah.
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: But I was already hitting you with a pillow by the time we started, though.
- 50:55SPEAKER_00: This episode was the first flashback episode of someone not on flight eight fifteen.
- 51:05SPEAKER_02: Interesting, that's a good point.
- 51:12SPEAKER_02: The first, I take it, but not the last.
- 51:17SPEAKER_02: Well But that doesn't forget.
- 51:29SPEAKER_02: I'm not I Okay.
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: According to Wait.
- 51:38SPEAKER_00: Well no, because Desmond wasn't on the flight.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: So if you have another Desmond flashback, that's another episode of someone who wasn't on 815.
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: Reread re reread the wording again for me.
- 51:52SPEAKER_00: The episode this episode was the first flashback episode of someone not on flight 815.
- 52:00SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: I still think there's more.
- 52:04SPEAKER_01: Fucking lost.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: Lost drives me crazy.
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, this episode is the first in which it is confirmed on screen that September 22nd, 2004, the air date of Lost Pilot is the date that the oceanic flight A15 crashed.
- 52:29SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: And it's kind of fun.
- 52:35SPEAKER_01: I think we just kind of assumed.
- 52:39SPEAKER_01: Or never gave it much thought.
- 52:41SPEAKER_01: Well, I I knew.
- 52:43SPEAKER_01: So I guess I mean, as you're in your case, as you were watching it.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 52:48SPEAKER_01: A hundred years ago.
- 52:50SPEAKER_01: Whatever the case might be.
- 52:52SPEAKER_00: Desmond refers to the others as the hostiles during this episode, and Kelvin also uses the term in a flashback.
- 53:00SPEAKER_00: This is the first time the name is used on the show.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: The first time does that mean Desmond just keeps calling the hostiles, or are they more flashbacks talking about the hostiles?
- 53:14SPEAKER_01: Do they call themselves the hostiles?
- 53:17SPEAKER_01: Or is there a flashback about the hostiles' backstory?
- 53:20SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: Or is it just Desmond calling the hostiles?
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: I'm not telling you.
- 53:26SPEAKER_01: And then I have another question, like not a question to be answered.
- 53:30SPEAKER_01: But okay, so in life, we always think, oh, there's a good side and the bad side.
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: You know, but that's and the but as adults, we all should recognize that that's a matter of perspecti of perspective.
- 53:45SPEAKER_01: Um so I'm wondering, like, we always say like the others are the hostiles, but like Henry Gale, what's his name?
- 53:55SPEAKER_01: Henry Gale, what's his real name?
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: Henry Gale, right?
- 53:59SPEAKER_01: That's like the actor's name?
- 54:02SPEAKER_01: No, like did they tell you?
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: Because we know he's not the real Henry Gale.
- 54:04SPEAKER_01: They don't tell what his name is, right?
- 54:06SPEAKER_01: Okay, so he's so he's Henry.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: The guy formerly known as Henry Gale.
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: Um, he said, we're the good guys, and I really think it's a matter of perspective.
- 54:15SPEAKER_01: Like, who de I don't know, it's just weird.
- 54:17SPEAKER_01: Like, what if they really are in the bigger picture?
- 54:26SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 54:27SPEAKER_01: You keep nodding at my c at my comments.
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: I feel like I feel like there's something that you're not telling me because I'm like, hmm, I'm getting no dialogue.
- 54:37SPEAKER_01: Hmm.
- 54:37SPEAKER_01: There's something I should know.
- 54:39SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 54:41SPEAKER_01: I'm about to make little notes on your tells.
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: This comment got no response from her.
- 54:47SPEAKER_01: This comment got a lot of response from her.
- 54:49SPEAKER_01: This comment got you should do that.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: Keep myself entertained.
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, so when Michael is leaving and he asks Henry who they are, and he says that they're the good guys.
- 55:05SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
- 55:07SPEAKER_01: Didn't I just tell you that?
- 55:10SPEAKER_00: Did you?
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: I was reading.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: I really I wasn't listening.
- 55:16unknown: Sorry.
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: So what you what do you find?
- 55:25SPEAKER_01: A huge monologue like ten seconds ago about the good guys and perspectives and bigger picture.
- 55:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: Alright, let's just go over some of the things in the episode.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: Like big things.
- 55:43SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 55:44SPEAKER_00: The fucking hatch.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: What do you think happened to it?
- 55:47SPEAKER_00: The sky turned purple, there was some kind of crazy noise.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: Everyone on the island could hear it.
- 55:55SPEAKER_00: What do you think happened?
- 55:59SPEAKER_01: Something with magnets.
- 56:01SPEAKER_01: An electromagnetic pulse.
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: It might have been an EMP.
- 56:05SPEAKER_01: It might be an EMP, but since there's no like electronic devices, really, other than you know, with not like there's an airplane or telephones or things that can be affected by it.
- 56:16SPEAKER_01: It might have been just an EMP.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, but Desmond, Locke, well, we saw Charlie and Echo are still unaccounted for.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 56:34SPEAKER_01: So any thoughts?
- 56:36SPEAKER_01: No, not at all.
- 56:38SPEAKER_01: None at all.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: I'll see next season.
- 56:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 56:42SPEAKER_00: Henry shows that he's kind of the one in charge as he gets on the boat and he's kind of like making the decisions.
- 56:52SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 56:52SPEAKER_00: So you felt like he was the one in position, but now you're feeling like I feel like I was proving right too soon.
- 56:59SPEAKER_01: Like that's too easy.
- 57:00SPEAKER_01: No, but I think all two I'm like, okay.
- 57:04SPEAKER_01: Alright, yeah, he's in charge.
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: But now you but now you're second-guessing that.
- 57:09SPEAKER_01: Only because Lost makes me do that all the damn time.
- 57:13SPEAKER_01: It's not really based on any rhyme or reason.
- 57:15SPEAKER_01: It's just like I just lose is giving me shell shock.
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: When when um when they're walking and Michael admits that he was the one who shot Anna Lucia and Libby.
- 57:34SPEAKER_01: At face value, it's so infuriating because you just like, oh, like Yeah, not knowing the bigger, not knowing what he's going through, your initial reaction is like, this son of a bitch.
- 57:47SPEAKER_01: No, absolutely.
- 57:48SPEAKER_00: Then, but then as a parent and you think about like we talked about this before, the choice that you would have to make for your child, how do you how do you choose?
- 58:00SPEAKER_00: Like there really isn't a choice.
- 58:03SPEAKER_01: No, I I think the important thing with like I said, the episode is not so much on what you choose, it's how you get to that decision.
- 58:13SPEAKER_01: Like we already know that, yeah, you're gonna pick your child, but if you have some kind of sense of pause, like oh shit, it shows that you still, you know, it's not like you're a malicious, evil sociopath, you know what I mean?
- 58:24SPEAKER_01: So I think in this case, which they don't see like initially Oh god.
- 58:31SPEAKER_01: No, I think eventually, maybe I think eventually, maybe they may try to be like, okay, his son, I get it.
- 58:42SPEAKER_01: I still hate him, but I get it.
- 58:44SPEAKER_01: But at this moment, you're like, you son of a bitch, and you can't fault anyone for feeling that way.
- 58:50SPEAKER_01: Because I think anyone feels that way.
- 58:51SPEAKER_00: They were at the dock and Michael is getting onto the boat.
- 58:55SPEAKER_00: He's like, Well, what's gonna happen to them?
- 58:57SPEAKER_00: Because you promised you wouldn't hurt them.
- 58:58SPEAKER_00: So you see that Michael still has some aspect of caring for them.
- 59:06SPEAKER_01: And I don't think he never didn't not care, but you have to care for your child more.
- 59:10SPEAKER_01: Like he didn't do it maliciously.
- 59:12SPEAKER_01: He his decision wasn't malicious or evilly based.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: So, like I said, maybe eventually they'll be like, okay, we kind of get it.
- 59:20SPEAKER_01: Like, once maybe once you're no longer in danger, you can reflect on the situation.
- 59:25SPEAKER_01: We're like, oh, okay, like listen, I hate that you did it, but I get it.
- 59:29SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, totally like, fuck you, Michael.
- 59:32SPEAKER_01: Go suck, go suck a bag of dicks.
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: Like the whole bag.
- 59:36SPEAKER_01: The whole bag at the pier.
- 59:40SPEAKER_00: The others have them basically bound and gagged, but they send Hurley back.
- 59:47SPEAKER_00: What do you think they're gonna do with Kate, Jack, and Sawyer?
- 59:56SPEAKER_00: What do you think they want them for?
- 59:58SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 59:59SPEAKER_01: Sexual exploitation?
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, that ain't cross my mind, you freak.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't know.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_01: I think maybe it's a it's a power play.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_01: Like these are probably you have you have Is that the is that the Hurley bird?
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_01: It's only the Hurley Bird from here.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_00: Weird ass fucking van.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't understand whose van fucking sounds like that.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_00: That's horrible.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_01: I feel like that's that it was a power play.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_01: Like you have three people of strength in the group that they now have in their power.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_01: I think they picked those three and not Saeed, because let's be real, Saeed isn't a bit too much for them to handle.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_01: Like if they had all three plus Said, or two of them are Saeed, that may have been like, okay, wait, this is just a little bit too much.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_01: We want to keep our hand.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_01: I think they picked three of the sh people of strength that they know they can kind of keep under wraps, they can keep controlled, and still give the other the sense of the give the survivors a sense of oh shit.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_01: Um speaking of Saeed, we didn't know what happened.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_00: We don't know what happened with him, Jin, and son.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_01: So any thoughts on They're gonna come in and save the day.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, I mean not tomorrow, maybe not the next day, but they're gonna come in and save the day.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_01: I mean that was their purpose.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_01: They're in the right position to do it, so I don't see where else they're gonna I mean it's like where else are the writers gonna take it?
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_01: It's not gonna be easy.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_01: It's like a I think it might take maybe episode and a half to do it.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_00: Um the title of the episode is Live Together Die Alone, which has been a theme since season one.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_00: I mean I think that I can refer to subtle things like how Desmond says, like, oh you saved me so that I can save you because Desmond was gonna die alone.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_00: But because Locke was there, even though he didn't know Locke was Locke or it gave him hope.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_00: It was his new It was togetherness, he saw another person, he knew he wasn't alone, and that's what made him not do it.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_00: Um and then like whatever, really overt theories of they're all in this together and they need to, you know, whatever.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_00: But I don't know.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_00: I think I'm rambling.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_00: I concur.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, that I'm rambling.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_01: But no, about I thought about that.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_01: I was like, well, no, about your about your position, about your point of view.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_01: I was like, wait, that's not that didn't come out right.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_00: Cause we see a lot that when they're alone like Desmond was alone on the ship, but he had help from someone else and he didn't die.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_01: And then he had help from the ship, he had help getting the boat.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_00: But like but on the ship he got knocked unconscious.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_00: So had Calvin not found him, he would have died alone.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_00: Ah and then he lived with Calvin for like two or three years.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_00: Um so I don't know.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_00: I mean maybe it could re refer to him and Penny.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_01: Like how he wants to be with her, but alone he feels like or the whole fact that she said you'll never be alone if you know you have that one person that loves you.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_01: Uh huh.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: I think there's just so many different things.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_01: Some obvious, some roundabout.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know, it's a lot.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_01: But yet it all makes it it doesn't take much thinking involved.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_01: Like some of the stuff you're like, huh?
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_01: Wait, that hurts my brain.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_01: This was just I think this is like all this has so many different aspects to this.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_01: It's a lot of examples as to why the title or the title, yeah.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_01: Which comes first, the title or the episode?
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_01: Let me say something.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_01: It was a joke.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_00: Overall, season two.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_01: Better than season one.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_01: That's about it.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_01: That's where I'm at.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_00: If you had to guess where season three begins, what do you think?
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_00: Alright, forget it.
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_00: I'll save that question for later.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_00: Um, what do you think about Desmond after seeing a flashback of his?
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_00: Because we didn't know anything about him.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_00: He was just some crazy person in a hatch.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_00: Um aside from the run-in with Jack, we didn't know anything about him.
- 1:05:02SPEAKER_00: I never thought he was crazy, but um But crazy like for face value, you know, like this guy who's lived alone for who knows how long.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_00: I think he ran to help me.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, like considering he was totally like Yeah, no, yeah, but I liked Esmond.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_01: I liked his backstory.
- 1:05:22SPEAKER_01: Um it was those once again, it was it was an interesting backstory.
- 1:05:27SPEAKER_01: It gave you insight on him.
- 1:05:30SPEAKER_01: Nothing like, oh shit, expiring.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_01: No awe inspiring, like, oh, like nothing completely off left wing, kind of like that was not what I expected.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_01: Nothing of that nature.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_01: He's a normal human, he's just a regular guy, has ups and downs and left and rights, and uh a former fooch future father-in-law that sucked ass.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_01: He was an asshole or whatever.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_01: And it's funny how like, yes, he was just on the gist charged and he was in the he was in military jail, but somehow you still think the father's an asshole.
- 1:06:04SPEAKER_01: And I think the way they wrote that without saying it says a lot.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_01: Like that was your initial reaction.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_01: Like, on face value, guy in jail, here I'll pay you to stay away from my daughter.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_01: You think that's just a a person to take care of his family, but something about you're like, yeah, no, he's an asshole.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_01: I don't know what it was.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_01: But yeah.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_00: I forgot what I was gonna say now.
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_00: Um well anyway.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_00: So that's the end for season two.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_00: Season two is a wrap.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_01: I kind of just want to get through the next four seasons.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_00: Well we'll be back for season two.
- 1:06:48SPEAKER_00: Shut up.
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_00: I think you couldn't you couldn't even have like a cliff notes with this show.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_01: The cliff notes be as long as an action of that.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_00: We'll be back for season three and we'll probably be doing a um season two slash season three show.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_00: Like you know, just talking about overall themes and um predictions for season three.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_01: Fun times.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_01: So for me to get my predictions in order, I'm gonna have to drink a lot, get some shrooms in my system because lost is so off the walls, I gotta be fucked up to think about it.
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_00: That sounds like a good time.
- 1:07:35SPEAKER_01: To be fair, listen, disclaimer, I've never had shrooms.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_01: I've never I don't do drugs.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_01: Like I'm just just a disclaimer out there.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_01: I just talk it.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_01: I just talk shit.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_00: Anything, anything, you got anything else about this episode before we wrap it up?

- 1:08:03SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_01: Of course you're gonna have to go back to when you do the edits to listen to my points, but okay.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_01: I I know, I am completely missed that.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_00: My best.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_01: You had an act of this moment.
- 1:08:21SPEAKER_00: I was like I I was hearing you speaking, but like I wasn't like understanding.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_01: What do I why do I find that so funny?

- 1:08:44SPEAKER_01: You're a good friend.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_01: But you've had ample opportunity to rectify this behavior.
- 1:08:55SPEAKER_01: How have you not seen any other Godfather movies?
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_00: Anyway, very simply, actually, by not watching any of them.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_00: That's a problem.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_00: You must be shaved.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna put you in the town square.
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_00: You should come over here and make me watch them.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_01: Don't threaten me with the good times.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_00: I keep threatening you, and yet this good time seems not to be had, so I don't know what to tell you.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:09:23SPEAKER_01: At this point, I really foresee a a nice long road trip in my future.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_01: But last time I went away, you know what happened.
- 1:09:30SPEAKER_01: So now I'm like, I didn't I don't even want to go to the fucking store by myself because I'm afraid what might happen.

- 1:09:50SPEAKER_01: That sounds awful.
