- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's almost famous podcast. We're here today to discuss all
- 0:10Speaker 2: the latest happenings in Bachelor Nation. But before we get
- 0:13Speaker 2: into that, Ashley, last time we spoke, it was just
- 0:17Speaker 2: a few days before the festive holidays. How was your Thanksgiving?
- 0:23Speaker 3: It was wonderful. How is yours?
- 0:26Speaker 2: It was great. We did the Bloody Mary Bar, which
- 0:29Speaker 2: was a blast. A lot of neighbors showed up. I mean,
- 0:33Speaker 2: the house was the house was packed.
- 0:35Speaker 3: You hosted one of the bloody man.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Oh no goodness, okay, no, just down the street here.
- 0:41Speaker 2: That was It's such a good idea in the morning
- 0:44Speaker 2: to have this. It's kind of a good warm up.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's early, you know, the kids get to play with
- 0:50Speaker 2: their friends before they go play with their cousins. It's
- 0:53Speaker 2: a great way to wear them out. When he was
- 0:55Speaker 2: a star at it, she's been a star for the
- 0:57Speaker 2: last few days. We came back here, had a big,
- 1:01Speaker 2: big early dinner, like lunch dinner, like a two thirty,
- 1:05Speaker 2: and then just chilled out the rest of the day.
- 1:07Speaker 2: It was awesome. It was great. That is awesome, relaxing day.
- 1:10Speaker 3: So I have a question for you.
- 1:11Speaker 4: You were talking on the other podcast about how you
- 1:16Speaker 4: always have the.
- 1:16Speaker 3: TV on and you have you know, football on.
- 1:19Speaker 4: But Jess is really particular about when you screen time.
- 1:24Speaker 3: How do you have her? How do you deal with that?
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah? So, I mean we didn't have any TV on
- 1:30Speaker 2: when we were eating, that was all just separate. But afterwards, well,
- 1:35Speaker 2: typically Winnie is at this point so distracted on the
- 1:40Speaker 2: floor with somebody doing like a book. It's not like
- 1:44Speaker 2: she's sitting there glued into the TV.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Okay, So that's my question, Like on lazy days like Thanksgiving,
- 1:52Speaker 4: is that considered screen time if they're like doing other stuff.
- 1:56Speaker 2: No, because they're not focused, like I mean, at least
- 1:58Speaker 2: in our household. I'm guess it's different for every family,
- 2:01Speaker 2: but for us, I think it's a little bit of
- 2:04Speaker 2: the laxed like mindset of Okay, the TV's on, but
- 2:08Speaker 2: when he's not watching it, she's actually like has her
- 2:11Speaker 2: back turned to it, and so somebody is engaging her
- 2:13Speaker 2: in something other than the TV the whole time. I think,
- 2:17Speaker 2: like the by definition here it would be, is a
- 2:21Speaker 2: screen the source of entertainment for Winny or not? If
- 2:26Speaker 2: the screen's the source of entertainment, and we can tell
- 2:29Speaker 2: it's a source of entertainment. Then it's typically like, let's
- 2:32Speaker 2: pull her out, take her upstairs with the screen's not on.
- 2:35Speaker 2: If it's on and she's doing her own thing, not
- 2:38Speaker 2: even a problem, like totally.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Cool, Okay. So that's always like my debate.
- 2:43Speaker 4: I'm like, if I'm watching a show that's for me
- 2:46Speaker 4: and they're just like playing around the living room, is
- 2:49Speaker 4: that like fine? Is this considered their screen time for
- 2:52Speaker 4: the day? Because that makes me feel guilty, and then
- 2:54Speaker 4: it makes me feel like I can ever watch TV
- 2:56Speaker 4: for myself.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Sure, relaxed during the weekend.
- 2:59Speaker 2: No, I mean like at night when I'm giving Winnie
- 3:04Speaker 2: the bottle, I have the TV on when he's not
- 3:07Speaker 2: watching it, but it's on.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Yeah, you mean dedicated screen time.
- 3:11Speaker 2: She's yeah, she's gluing in. She like if you're if
- 3:14Speaker 2: the boys sat next to you and we're like, mom,
- 3:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna watch this, Yeah, I'd say that's it. But
- 3:19Speaker 2: it just a glancing like look, or there's a noise
- 3:22Speaker 2: that goes on and she checks it out like not
- 3:24Speaker 2: a problem. And it's kind of fun because at this
- 3:28Speaker 2: point I can tell she so easily could get addicted,
- 3:32Speaker 2: just like we do as adults. She'd get a dick
- 3:34Speaker 2: to the screen. She loves like pulling my phone if
- 3:38Speaker 2: I have it sitting on a counter or something and
- 3:40Speaker 2: holding it.
- 3:41Speaker 4: It's the phone and the iPad that I've found to
- 3:44Speaker 4: be the issues.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean so I think I think that's by
- 3:48Speaker 2: our definition, how we're doing it. And I kind of
- 3:51Speaker 2: plan on doing it this way for as long as
- 3:54Speaker 2: we possibly can until it gets weird for her. But
- 3:58Speaker 2: I would rather, you know, ask her to play with
- 4:03Speaker 2: something that's not a screen or a toy on the
- 4:06Speaker 2: ground and do that with her. I mean it's a
- 4:08Speaker 2: little harder, yes, for me, because I don't get to
- 4:09Speaker 2: necessarily just chill out. But I don't know as a
- 4:12Speaker 2: parent if you just get to chill out too often
- 4:15Speaker 2: during the days.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Hey, Hayden doesn't let us.
- 4:19Speaker 4: So we really do enjoy like our seven to nine
- 4:23Speaker 4: o'clock like family TV time, especially now you're like a
- 4:27Speaker 4: Christmas movie.
- 4:28Speaker 3: But Hayden won't do it. Dawson is wow.
- 4:32Speaker 4: He will want to snuggle like hug you for two hours.
- 4:36Speaker 3: While you bond over a movie and that is so odd.
- 4:39Speaker 4: We love it so so much, and at almost four,
- 4:44Speaker 4: I think it's totally appropriate and it's cool. Like Jared
- 4:48Speaker 4: and I like will bond over our favor things. I
- 4:49Speaker 4: still predominantly keep him in like nineties oriented TV full
- 4:54Speaker 4: houses our go to.
- 4:55Speaker 3: I pretty much basically don't consider for house screen time.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Because it is so wholesome and lesson oriented that I'm like, well.
- 5:05Speaker 3: How does this even count?
- 5:07Speaker 4: But he that's really fun. But that Hayden, like we
- 5:11Speaker 4: have like maybe twenty minutes. If he has a snack
- 5:13Speaker 4: in a movie for twenty minutes, then it's like, all right,
- 5:16Speaker 4: I'll take him upstairs or downstairs or whatnot.
- 5:18Speaker 3: But he's just like, hello, family, what's play?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, And that's fun. It is, and it you know,
- 5:25Speaker 2: it's I have to in those moments, you know, Colts
- 5:29Speaker 2: Game's on, I'm glueden and she's up in my business.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I have to remember like this, I'm going to be
- 5:35Speaker 2: a lot happier being on the floor with her in
- 5:39Speaker 2: four years and I am like checked out only watching
- 5:43Speaker 2: the game, like hey, little baby girl, get away from me,
- 5:46Speaker 2: Like that's crazy. So I we just kind of do it,
- 5:50Speaker 2: and it's nice my parents are out here, when Jess's
- 5:52Speaker 2: parents are out here. You know, we do have a
- 5:54Speaker 2: lot of visitors because we live far away. You know,
- 5:58Speaker 2: you can kind of pass her off too to play
- 6:00Speaker 2: with somebody and they're ye, so down. Yeah, Like we
- 6:04Speaker 2: only have one, so it's a little different for us.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Here's here's the two of them. Yeah, close the door,
- 6:11Speaker 4: we have alone time. It is a huge, huge difference,
- 6:14Speaker 4: you know what. We're both kind of at a crappy
- 6:16Speaker 4: stage with like the couch and the baby because Hayden
- 6:20Speaker 4: and you, I'm sure they'll still tumble off the couch
- 6:23Speaker 4: and you still have to worry about that. Yeah, like
- 6:25Speaker 4: if I PLoP him on my bed, oh he get
- 6:27Speaker 4: a concussion?
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, he could break his neck falling off my bed.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I mean, we've had close calls and it's the scariest
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't know if you even know.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Hayden fell off the bed and then Dawson had fell
- 6:37Speaker 4: off the couch when he was this age.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It's the scariest thing. It rocks your world. Like we
- 6:42Speaker 2: we haven't had a fall yet, but we've had a
- 6:45Speaker 2: close call. Like, oh my gosh, she started crawling all
- 6:48Speaker 2: of a sudden. We never knew she could. And now
- 6:50Speaker 2: she's at the edge and you know, both of us
- 6:53Speaker 2: are diving like ten foot across the floor like you
- 6:56Speaker 2: know the athletes we once were. Yeah, it's scary and
- 6:59Speaker 2: it will rock you. Your heart rate will raise and
- 7:02Speaker 2: you won't forget it. And so we have we've been
- 7:05Speaker 2: very cautious of this now. Yeah, and little babies are
- 7:09Speaker 2: just everywhere, like they just tumble around and roll around
- 7:14Speaker 2: and contort themselves.
- 7:16Speaker 3: And exactly contorting.
- 7:19Speaker 2: It's it's it's a lot of fun. But it's been great.
- 7:22Speaker 2: And I haven't traveled in weeks. Now, that's awesome. I'm
- 7:25Speaker 2: so happy for you. Yeah, I'm feeling very very much
- 7:28Speaker 2: like caught up centered, got some good winny is good
- 7:33Speaker 2: winning time and means so yeah, life's life's fun. And
- 7:37Speaker 2: then we'll pick it back up again here for a
- 7:39Speaker 2: little bit before Christmas, and then we'll come back afterwards
- 7:43Speaker 2: and next year will be a lot slower for me,
- 7:46Speaker 2: not professionally, I don't want to say that, but it's
- 7:49Speaker 2: going to be a lot slower with travel. That's my goal. Okay,
- 7:52Speaker 2: how do I make that happen with gold?
- 7:54Speaker 3: I don't know. I was like, how are you not
- 7:55Speaker 3: going to slow up professionally?
- 7:57Speaker 5: But you're also going I have no You'll figure it out, Okay, Hey.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Let's dive in the headlines. A weird switch because I'm
- 8:16Speaker 2: just in a good mood from the holidays, relaxed mood
- 8:18Speaker 2: and good mood, cheerful mood. But we do have some
- 8:21Speaker 2: big headlines today that we need to cover. Bachelor Nation's
- 8:25Speaker 2: Carl Waddell. She gets candid about dating after ending engagement.
- 8:31Speaker 4: So she entered her engagement over the summer and now
- 8:35Speaker 4: she is like trying to get back in the dating pool.
- 8:38Speaker 4: She had this funny moment where she makes fun of
- 8:41Speaker 4: herself in this Instagram reel about how she's attempting to
- 8:45Speaker 4: get back out there. She said that there was this
- 8:48Speaker 4: cute guy that she saw at a bar. She thought
- 8:50Speaker 4: they were making eyes at each other. She was with
- 8:53Speaker 4: her sister in law and her brother, and she thought that,
- 8:57Speaker 4: you know, she would give her number to the guy,
- 9:00Speaker 4: but not write down her name because she didn't want
- 9:02Speaker 4: him to google her without getting to like meet her
- 9:05Speaker 4: in prison. So they left the bar and then she
- 9:09Speaker 4: goes back in with a piece of paper with her
- 9:11Speaker 4: number on it. And then he's not at the table anymore,
- 9:14Speaker 4: but his friends or family they're still there. He must
- 9:17Speaker 4: have gone to the bathroom or something, and instead of saying, like, hey,
- 9:21Speaker 4: I thought that guy that you were with was cute,
- 9:23Speaker 4: she literally like stood in front of the table and
- 9:25Speaker 4: then ran outside, ran back outside and just totally chickened out.
- 9:31Speaker 4: So she's making fun of herself, feeling like she's like
- 9:33Speaker 4: back in elementary school again. At the end of it all,
- 9:38Speaker 4: her sister in law actually went back in gave the
- 9:40Speaker 4: guy her number and he never called.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Well, yeah, he probably didn't know who it was.
- 9:48Speaker 2: No, he's like, I have a random number from this
- 9:50Speaker 2: human that I didn't see meet or whatever. Here's what
- 9:55Speaker 2: I'm taking from this. Celebrities they're just like us. You know,
- 10:01Speaker 2: they get nervous, they run from tables. They're not as
- 10:05Speaker 2: smooth as maybe we like to imagine them to be. Carly.
- 10:11Speaker 2: You're not alone in this funny, awkward behavior. Goodness, it's awkward,
- 10:16Speaker 2: but you're not alone, and it's wonderful that you got
- 10:18Speaker 2: a little nervous.
- 10:20Speaker 3: It's really you know, it's kind of fun.
- 10:22Speaker 4: It's more fun hearing your friends do it than it
- 10:25Speaker 4: is you having to go and take the leap of faith.
- 10:29Speaker 2: But I think in the day and age of Instagram
- 10:32Speaker 2: in social media, Ashley, I watch, I mean, this is
- 10:36Speaker 2: One of the reasons why I've backed off so much
- 10:39Speaker 2: from social media is I watch it, I'm like, goodness,
- 10:41Speaker 2: everybody is more fit than me. Everybody's smoother than me,
- 10:45Speaker 2: they dress better than me. It seems like they're driving
- 10:48Speaker 2: fancier cars because they're obviously making so much more money
- 10:50Speaker 2: than me. That's my mind.
- 10:52Speaker 4: That's not as like, it's not like as appealing as
- 10:55Speaker 4: you think. I think that like your humbleness, your groundedness,
- 10:59Speaker 4: just the that you're like a guy's guy is way
- 11:02Speaker 4: more attractive than trying to be smooth.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, but it makes me envious. And so when we
- 11:07Speaker 2: hear these kind of stories where we're like, oh, yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 2: Carly stood at a table awkwardly while the parents probably
- 11:12Speaker 2: looked up at her and was like hello, and she's like,
- 11:14Speaker 2: that makes me smile because.
- 11:16Speaker 4: If you see somebody as approachable and beautiful as Carly,
- 11:20Speaker 4: I would have been like, Hi, what's up?
- 11:22Speaker 3: Like, what are you thinking?
- 11:23Speaker 2: You're trying to talk to my husband?
- 11:25Speaker 5: Yeah, he wasn't responsive.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. We didn't even think of that. It's like, oh, yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 3: maybe he's dating somebody.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and they were sitting there too. It's funny speaking
- 11:38Speaker 2: of dating we have a really great couple coming out
- 11:41Speaker 2: of Bachelor in Paradise this year that we are catching
- 11:43Speaker 2: up with Bachelor in Paradise's couple Alex and Andrew. They
- 11:47Speaker 2: detailed their biggest fight in Ashley. It's over what I
- 11:51Speaker 2: think is still the most common thing couples fight about today, finances.
- 11:56Speaker 4: So funny, this is one thing that Jared and I
- 11:58Speaker 4: can't relate to at all. We have always been so
- 12:02Speaker 4: good discussing finances.
- 12:04Speaker 3: What about you?
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's we don't ever well justin I
- 12:09Speaker 2: have a very like we set. I'd say this is
- 12:14Speaker 2: actually a good note that was given to us, and
- 12:16Speaker 2: I think it's a very like Christian Church note. Early
- 12:21Speaker 2: on our relationship we went through like couples counts or
- 12:23Speaker 2: premarital counseling, and I think, you know, the idea of
- 12:27Speaker 2: boundaries and clear communication is helpful in any relationship. But
- 12:31Speaker 2: that was one of the words given to us is hey,
- 12:33Speaker 2: sit down and discuss like these four major things and
- 12:36Speaker 2: figure out how you're going to do it before you
- 12:38Speaker 2: intern into marriage. And then if you have to adjust
- 12:40Speaker 2: along the way, great, but talk about it when you do.
- 12:43Speaker 2: And so before we ever got married, we were like Okay,
- 12:45Speaker 2: here's how we're going to do this. We're gonna have
- 12:46Speaker 2: one shared bank account that we both put money into
- 12:50Speaker 2: every month. We're also going to have our own separate
- 12:53Speaker 2: bank accounts that you operate on and I operate on
- 12:57Speaker 2: because she runs her own business, I run my own business.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Crossing those two things together will get so confusing and
- 13:04Speaker 2: like misconstrued. And so our shared account is will we
- 13:08Speaker 2: pay all of our stuff out through, like all of
- 13:11Speaker 2: our life expenses, dinners, all that stuff, and then our
- 13:15Speaker 2: individual accounts, Like if Jessica wants to go to the
- 13:17Speaker 2: store and go on a shopping spree, she doesn't have
- 13:19Speaker 2: to check with me because she is responsible for her
- 13:22Speaker 2: own account. And it actually works out great for us personally.
- 13:28Speaker 2: We run that through by having separate credit cards and
- 13:31Speaker 2: then a shared credit card, and so things that are
- 13:35Speaker 2: shared are paid for collectively. Things that aren't. And she
- 13:38Speaker 2: needs to go buy more stuff for her skin studio,
- 13:41Speaker 2: go do it. It's fine, It's it's your business. But
- 13:45Speaker 2: we talk about a lot. We check in once a month,
- 13:47Speaker 2: and but I am in charge of our collective finances
- 13:53Speaker 2: mostly because yeah, yeah, investments, bill, you know, bills, all that,
- 13:58Speaker 2: because mostly I I'm well, one, I'm at my computer
- 14:01Speaker 2: more often, she's you know, obviously working on people. And
- 14:06Speaker 2: then two I just enjoy it, I think, And so
- 14:08Speaker 2: it was kind of a hey, yeah, you do that,
- 14:11Speaker 2: and then we kind of go over it every month
- 14:14Speaker 2: together on where our investments are and all that.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Oh that's good, we just have I don't get into it,
- 14:22Speaker 4: but it's like, thank God for a good accountant and
- 14:25Speaker 4: some good financial advisors because I'm like, I think I
- 14:30Speaker 4: understand the summary of what you guys are talking about,
- 14:33Speaker 4: but just like think goodness that.
- 14:34Speaker 3: You're really educated on it, because I don't want to.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Jared's a little bit more interested in it.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so it works, But I think the point is,
- 14:43Speaker 2: however you want to do, yes is clear communication. Okay,
- 14:47Speaker 2: so they had a.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Fight over this, Well, they didn't really have a fight
- 14:51Speaker 4: over anything very specifically.
- 14:53Speaker 3: They're just saying this is when they do bigger it.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Often will have to do with this, which is actually
- 14:59Speaker 4: like super interesting to me, being that they've only been
- 15:01Speaker 4: together for about six months.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I'd say it's a good sign.
- 15:04Speaker 4: It is good sign. It means that they're taking it
- 15:06Speaker 4: very seriously, like they are. If they're talking about each
- 15:09Speaker 4: other's finances at six months, I feel like they're planning
- 15:12Speaker 4: a real future together.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's amazing. The worst thing I mean,
- 15:18Speaker 2: but I feel like Alex during Paradise right didn't she
- 15:22Speaker 2: wasn't in a big was it her that had the
- 15:24Speaker 2: big student debt that was going to get paid off?
- 15:27Speaker 4: So they use all the money that they won, yeah,
- 15:29Speaker 4: for her student loans, which she has nothing anymore. And
- 15:31Speaker 4: she's really, you know, obviously feels very freed by that.
- 15:35Speaker 4: But and she says that because that's paid off, they're
- 15:38Speaker 4: able to invest. And she said that she never even
- 15:42Speaker 4: imagined herself being able to do that because she thought
- 15:44Speaker 4: she was going to be burdened by the student loans
- 15:46Speaker 4: for so long.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Mm hm.
- 15:48Speaker 4: So now that is something that they kind of talk about.
- 15:51Speaker 4: So he's kind of like, I'm just doing well, I
- 15:53Speaker 4: know what I'm doing, like, and then she is kind
- 15:56Speaker 4: of like, I want to be retired by this point.
- 15:58Speaker 4: And then he's like, that's not really gonna happen anymore.
- 16:02Speaker 4: This is like not happening right now. People aren't retiring
- 16:04Speaker 4: at like your dream age. And then she said, like
- 16:09Speaker 4: none of them hold really grudges over it. At the end,
- 16:12Speaker 4: of the argument, they'll be like laughing and saying I
- 16:15Speaker 4: love you. But right now she's very focused on saving
- 16:20Speaker 4: for her future, sitting for their future, and they're not
- 16:25Speaker 4: really they're not really.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Afraid to talk about this stuff.
- 16:32Speaker 4: She said that she was always imagining that somebody was
- 16:35Speaker 4: going to be the one to take over finances, to
- 16:39Speaker 4: be like a little bit more serious.
- 16:40Speaker 3: About it, to be more of the you and the relationship.
- 16:43Speaker 4: And she says that they are both very much on
- 16:48Speaker 4: the same page, like neither of them are super versed
- 16:51Speaker 4: in it.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think that's where you said, then
- 16:54Speaker 2: you need to quickly find people that are talented at it.
- 16:57Speaker 2: And it's going to be a big life expense, expensive
- 17:00Speaker 2: to have an accountant. It's expensive of these things.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Our accountant is worth everybody.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be worth it in the end, because one,
- 17:07Speaker 2: you're not getting a bill in four years. That's like, hey,
- 17:11Speaker 2: in twenty twenty five, you owe this many back taxes
- 17:15Speaker 2: with fines. It's you know, I think it's a fascinating topic.
- 17:20Speaker 2: And obviously there's people a lot more well versed than
- 17:23Speaker 2: I am on it. But I do love that they're
- 17:25Speaker 2: having these conversations and that they're trying to navigate it
- 17:29Speaker 2: and that they're talking about retirement.
- 17:32Speaker 4: I know, like they're so promising, Like this is amazing,
- 17:35Speaker 4: They're gonna get married.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Let's go. Speaking of Bachelor in Paradise married couples, A
- 17:41Speaker 2: Bachelor in Paradise alum Mari Peppin reveals every single cosmetic
- 17:46Speaker 2: procedure she's had.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I love this.
- 17:51Speaker 4: I went through and did an Instagram reel with my
- 17:54Speaker 4: sister nine months ago about this.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Lauren is hilarious. Like Lauren has everything time.
- 18:02Speaker 4: The only thing that she's actually like gone to sleep
- 18:04Speaker 4: for is her nose job, but lots of stuff at
- 18:07Speaker 4: the medspot. And Mari is admitting to basically similar things
- 18:12Speaker 4: so that she wanted to get a brass augmentation when
- 18:14Speaker 4: she was twenty one.
- 18:16Speaker 3: It was too.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Expensive so she didn't do that, but she did end
- 18:19Speaker 4: up getting them at twenty seven. She also has had
- 18:25Speaker 4: filler in her lips and in her underreyes, but now
- 18:29Speaker 4: she's just doing them and her lips. She's doing p
- 18:34Speaker 4: RF in her underreyes now, which is it's kind of
- 18:37Speaker 4: like a collegen booster can also help with dark circles
- 18:40Speaker 4: and brightening. I am going through this and Ben Stobba
- 18:44Speaker 4: was like, what are you doing? I love the transparency stuff.
- 18:48Speaker 4: It's such a thing on Instagram to be transparent about
- 18:50Speaker 4: what you've gotten done. Thanks to Kylie Jenner. She really
- 18:53Speaker 4: we love Kylie for that anything else that she's done.
- 18:57Speaker 4: She's done botox and the massaters. Those are your jaw
- 19:03Speaker 4: muscles and you could put them there for aesthetics and
- 19:07Speaker 4: TMJ relief.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I need to do it creates it you. No, you don't.
- 19:12Speaker 3: You're a guy.
- 19:13Speaker 4: You want your jaw muscles to be big and wide,
- 19:17Speaker 4: just like Jared.
- 19:18Speaker 3: You do have TMJ.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yeah. I need to figure that out because it's starting
- 19:21Speaker 2: to hurt.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Really.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Jess does a buckle massage at her studio. It really helps. Yeah,
- 19:27Speaker 2: and I do. I wear a night guard every night.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Oh you do wear a night gard.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but she has this buckle massage. It's like an
- 19:33Speaker 2: inner mouth massage. It always helps.
- 19:35Speaker 3: You can get a little bit, Ben a little bit.
- 19:38Speaker 4: But like, as a guy, and like I'm you know,
- 19:40Speaker 4: speaking as like I am an aesthetics nurse practitioner or whatever,
- 19:44Speaker 4: but I am not. I would not do that as
- 19:47Speaker 4: a guy because you want your job to be wide
- 19:50Speaker 4: and strong.
- 19:51Speaker 3: I do it.
- 19:52Speaker 4: I love my massador botox so much. It really creates
- 19:57Speaker 4: a totally different face for me. I look like so
- 20:00Speaker 4: much more feminine and like narrow because that's what it does.
- 20:03Speaker 4: It'll narrow your draw because without it, of course I
- 20:07Speaker 4: like my face without it too, but it's a lot boxier.
- 20:10Speaker 4: It goes from like square to a little bit more hearty. Okay,
- 20:15Speaker 4: what about what about you?
- 20:17Speaker 5: Ben?
- 20:19Speaker 3: I mean, I know, like we got done.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yeah, we have some bachelor people, some men that definitely
- 20:25Speaker 2: have done their stuff. It's not at all on my radar.
- 20:30Speaker 2: It's just not something one if there was a health
- 20:34Speaker 2: benefit to it, if like I could get rid of
- 20:36Speaker 2: the grinding of my teeth or whatever that is, I'd
- 20:39Speaker 2: be like, oh, I'm interested. It's not that I look
- 20:44Speaker 2: at these dudes. I'm like, what in the world it
- 20:45Speaker 2: won My buddies would never let me live it down.
- 20:48Speaker 4: I don't even know who you're talking about, Like you
- 20:50Speaker 4: think that somebody has a little brotox like I don't.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I don't.
- 20:53Speaker 4: It depends on the lines. I don't as long as
- 20:56Speaker 4: you're not freezing yourself.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Who we're talking.
- 21:00Speaker 4: No name, no names, Like are we talking from like
- 21:03Speaker 4: decade ago or.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I think it's been a I think it's been an
- 21:08Speaker 2: ongoing theme for a decade.
- 21:10Speaker 3: No way, yeah, we can just that's so funny.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm again like, it's not here's my judgmental response
- 21:18Speaker 2: when I see it. It's nothing more than how are
- 21:21Speaker 2: your buddies letting you do this? It's not that I
- 21:22Speaker 2: like am like, oh no, I think you look good.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I do, But who are your friends? Because there is
- 21:28Speaker 2: zero chance I could do it and walk into a
- 21:32Speaker 2: football game with them and them not say something or
- 21:35Speaker 2: make me feel so silly.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Like you think that they're like that frozen and it's
- 21:40Speaker 4: just not well done for a guy. Really, I'm not
- 21:43Speaker 4: a fan. I don't need like I would never want
- 21:46Speaker 4: Jerry to get botox either. That would be like so weird.
- 21:49Speaker 4: But I'm just thinking like there's somebody or there are
- 21:51Speaker 4: people that have done it, so obviously that's super interesting.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Okay, what do you know a Jess gets done?
- 21:58Speaker 2: She doesn't get any bowtie?
- 22:00Speaker 3: Well, she does, she did any botox, she used to.
- 22:03Speaker 2: And because she has an eyebrow that was like lower
- 22:05Speaker 2: than the other or something, is that a thing?
- 22:08Speaker 4: Wait, she has one by nature that's lower than the other.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so she get it, but she doesn't one. She's
- 22:15Speaker 2: breastfeeding still, so she doesn't do anything she does. I
- 22:18Speaker 2: mean I don't. The only thing I know she does
- 22:22Speaker 2: at least, and she would obviously tell me right now,
- 22:25Speaker 2: is she blathers up with about eight different things every
- 22:29Speaker 2: night before bed, and then she tapes her face. This
- 22:32Speaker 2: has been a new Yeah.
- 22:33Speaker 4: And she told me she gave me the face tape,
- 22:35Speaker 4: which I loved the face tape for a minute, thinking
- 22:39Speaker 4: that it was helping with this sleep wrinkle that I
- 22:41Speaker 4: get overnight, because like if you put your face on
- 22:44Speaker 4: your pillow like this, then like you get this a
- 22:47Speaker 4: wrinkle by your nose because your cheek is like slamming
- 22:50Speaker 4: into your nose. Yeah, But then the tape didn't really work.
- 22:53Speaker 4: What actually really works is this amazing pillow that also
- 22:58Speaker 4: helps with like a neck and backpin of it.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I mean every night before bed she has
- 23:03Speaker 2: like four pieces of tape. And that's just the marriage.
- 23:07Speaker 2: It's a marriage. It's beautiful, it's wonderful.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Should I go through what I have?
- 23:12Speaker 2: I think, are you want to move on?
- 23:14Speaker 3: Do you think so?
- 23:15Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know what this all means.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I think you did tell us what you've had, I
- 23:19Speaker 2: would like.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Okay, So obviously I do botox in my forehead, only
- 23:22Speaker 4: need to do it like twice a year. I don't
- 23:25Speaker 4: know before has really trained to not move so much,
- 23:29Speaker 4: I guess because before botox, Holy crap, I have the
- 23:32Speaker 4: massive our talks.
- 23:35Speaker 3: And then I have my lips filled.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Do it like once every other year, like maybe like
- 23:41Speaker 4: once every year and a half. I also so then
- 23:45Speaker 4: the last time the last time I had then done
- 23:47Speaker 4: was was it was it two years ago? No, it
- 23:51Speaker 4: has to be a year ago. And then I have
- 23:53Speaker 4: my underreyes filled a little bit, just for like a
- 23:57Speaker 4: little di of it. I don't really ever have like
- 24:00Speaker 4: bad dark circles, but I haven't done that for two years.
- 24:05Speaker 4: And then I do have filler in my temples, which
- 24:08Speaker 4: I need to actually get evened out. They're a little
- 24:11Speaker 4: awkward right now, they're a little off. And then I
- 24:17Speaker 4: have the tiniest bit of filler right now and like
- 24:20Speaker 4: my like on my.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Cheekbone, like just a couple of little drops. And I
- 24:26Speaker 3: kind of go back and forth.
- 24:27Speaker 4: On what I do again and what I don't do again,
- 24:29Speaker 4: But I'm pretty happy with what I got right now.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Is there anything in the future you're planning on.
- 24:33Speaker 3: No, I wouldn't go beyond that. Okay, I also wouldn't
- 24:37Speaker 3: want like the cheek filler.
- 24:38Speaker 4: I am really really not a fan typically of cheek
- 24:41Speaker 4: filler my, but I trust anything that my s dision,
- 24:46Speaker 4: my girly she's not an s dision, she's a nurse,
- 24:49Speaker 4: will suggest to me. And I was like, you know, honestly,
- 24:51Speaker 4: you could just do whatever you want, Just just say, oh,
- 24:57Speaker 4: chin filler, that's my big filling if I had But
- 25:00Speaker 4: so let's just go to the top of the conversation
- 25:02Speaker 4: really quickly. Then if I really could only do two things,
- 25:07Speaker 4: it would always be the forehead talks and the chin filler,
- 25:12Speaker 4: and then number three would probably be the jaw talks.
- 25:17Speaker 3: And that's it.
- 25:18Speaker 4: That's my go to lip filler craps. Now we're adding on,
- 25:23Speaker 4: but that is important every few years.
- 25:25Speaker 3: But I really don't.
- 25:26Speaker 4: It's over time the lips keep the collagen in them
- 25:30Speaker 4: from the filler. It's like a permanent scar kind of
- 25:34Speaker 4: in the best way. So even if I were to
- 25:37Speaker 4: stop doing it all together, my lips would naturally be
- 25:39Speaker 4: bigger than they were before I ever started.
- 25:42Speaker 3: And those are my four things. Okay, moving on, He's like,
- 25:45Speaker 3: can we get off of this cut?
- 25:48Speaker 2: No? I mean I'm listening. I don't know if I've
- 25:51Speaker 2: understood anything you just said, but I'm listening.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Your wife is in aesthetics.
- 25:55Speaker 2: She's an aesthetics, yes, but it's not I don't think
- 26:00Speaker 2: it's like that kind of thing. I don't know.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Well, she's gonna talks girl.
- 26:04Speaker 2: There, she's gonna she does the whole Jess runs a
- 26:08Speaker 2: whole system. She's great. Her little business is great.
- 26:11Speaker 4: She probably, I don't think, just looks no different than
- 26:14Speaker 4: once she started. But that's the whole thing.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Shout out to Higgy Skin.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Yes, Higgy skin.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Higgy Skin.
- 26:21Speaker 3: When did she change it from a year and a
- 26:23Speaker 3: half ago? Higgy Skin? Why did she switch?
- 26:27Speaker 2: Because this is a little bit of a catch your
- 26:29Speaker 2: name right, Higgins, Higgy higgy skins. Cute, it's cute and
- 26:34Speaker 2: you can you can use it for branding purposes for
- 26:37Speaker 2: future advancements in her business.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Okay, great, I love this.
- 26:43Speaker 2: She's a smart chick. She gets it. Chelsea Vaughn gets
- 26:56Speaker 2: Canada about an ongoing health issue she's been having. I
- 27:00Speaker 2: don't know if I knew this.
- 27:03Speaker 4: I saw this Instagram pop up on my feet, and
- 27:05Speaker 4: I'm not sure if I even follow her, but it
- 27:07Speaker 4: was definitely something that was getting a lot of traction.
- 27:09Speaker 3: On social media.
- 27:11Speaker 4: So she is officially moving out of New York City
- 27:14Speaker 4: for good. She kind of was debating this for a while.
- 27:17Speaker 4: She moved out and lived in Mexico City for a while.
- 27:20Speaker 4: She got in a new relationship, but now the relationship
- 27:23Speaker 4: is no longer, so she's moving out.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Of New York.
- 27:25Speaker 4: But she just said that there's like something going on
- 27:28Speaker 4: and she can't really figure out what it is. She said,
- 27:30Speaker 4: she's got blood drawn. She's doing a full blood panel
- 27:34Speaker 4: to see what's going on. She's been wearing a scarf
- 27:40Speaker 4: lately because all of her hair keeps falling out at
- 27:43Speaker 4: a very alarming rate. She did see a dermatologist in
- 27:46Speaker 4: New York and she's getting some answers, but she wants
- 27:49Speaker 4: to make sure that there's nothing going on that's deeper.
- 27:53Speaker 3: She's still waiting for the results.
- 27:55Speaker 4: She may have had them, but she hasn't reported it
- 27:57Speaker 4: on them yet. But yeah, her hair is like falling
- 28:00Speaker 4: out in different but like she's seeing like holes in
- 28:05Speaker 4: her you know, in her hairline or in her hair,
- 28:08Speaker 4: her head, and that's awful. She just said that she's
- 28:12Speaker 4: getting really self conscious and she's to the point where
- 28:15Speaker 4: she's she's just like embarrassed to go out without her scarf.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's tough, I mean, and we've talked about it
- 28:24Speaker 2: here when it comes to things like lime disease and
- 28:26Speaker 2: parasites and all those things. You know, it's weird in
- 28:30Speaker 2: today's medical world, how many mysteries there still are when
- 28:35Speaker 2: somebody's like, I don't feel good and my hair is
- 28:37Speaker 2: falling out, something's wrong, and how hard it is to
- 28:41Speaker 2: identify what it is it's going wrong. So I hope
- 28:45Speaker 2: for her sake she can figure that out. But it's
- 28:48Speaker 2: scary and it's frustrating, and you probably don't feel good.
- 28:53Speaker 2: But that's the update. We'll try to fall back up
- 28:55Speaker 2: on that.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Do you remember that girl that we had on who
- 28:58Speaker 4: went overseas to get like a month long treatment for
- 29:02Speaker 4: lime disease and has been ever since I was Daisy.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and Daisy went on and did a thing in
- 29:10Speaker 2: Germany that's becoming more and more popular for people with
- 29:13Speaker 2: lime disease. It's like it heats up the shells, the
- 29:16Speaker 2: lime shells breaks them up, and then you put in antibiotics
- 29:18Speaker 2: and it kills them.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Yeah, her body temperature went down to like seventy or so.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Yeah, So it's a really wild treatment, but it's working.
- 29:27Speaker 2: It's expensive, obviously it takes travel to go to it,
- 29:32Speaker 2: but it's also you need to know that that's what
- 29:35Speaker 2: you have going on before you can really go. And
- 29:39Speaker 2: lime disease is kind of hard to be you know,
- 29:41Speaker 2: it's not identified yet. There's so much there. Actually, it's
- 29:45Speaker 2: frustrating when it comes to lime disease. Hannah Ann shares
- 29:49Speaker 2: the gender and special meeting behind her baby's name. Just
- 29:53Speaker 2: kind of mentioned it, But congratulations to Hannah Ann and
- 29:55Speaker 2: her husband, football player Jake Funk, on the the birth
- 30:01Speaker 2: of their first child. They got married just an Italian
- 30:06Speaker 2: countryside last year if you missed that, but Ashley, they
- 30:09Speaker 2: did have their first baby. Gender and name.
- 30:13Speaker 3: He's a boy.
- 30:14Speaker 4: They never talked about on social media, whither's or a
- 30:16Speaker 4: girl or a boy. His name is Lucas James Funk.
- 30:20Speaker 4: He was born on November twentieth, and there's a special name.
- 30:25Speaker 4: There's a special meeting behind the name. He is Lucas because
- 30:29Speaker 4: they got engaged in Cobbos St. Lucas and James is
- 30:34Speaker 4: after Jake's dad who passed away a year or so ago,
- 30:39Speaker 4: and that was so sad to hear about. And she said,
- 30:42Speaker 4: Lucas James, you are dream come true. Will cheer you
- 30:44Speaker 4: on for the rest of our lives. We loved you,
- 30:47Speaker 4: big boy. He is so cute. And I loved seeing
- 30:53Speaker 4: Jake's face in the content that she posted when the baby.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Was coming out. It was hilarious.
- 31:00Speaker 2: We're very excited for the two of them. Obviously. This
- 31:03Speaker 2: is a couple that so many of us know and love,
- 31:07Speaker 2: and he's a former cult so we gotta love that guy.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I just gotta love him all right. Final headline of
- 31:17Speaker 2: today Crystal Nielsen. She shares an update after an incredibly
- 31:22Speaker 2: tough week in the nick You Ashlely, you and I
- 31:25Speaker 2: mentioned this during our last headlines, but we didn't have
- 31:28Speaker 2: much context yet. It kind of been kept quiet for
- 31:32Speaker 2: her own personal reasons. But we're gonna get a little
- 31:35Speaker 2: more information and we promised the listeners we'd follow up
- 31:37Speaker 2: with it.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:39Speaker 4: So she posted a really cute picture of the family,
- 31:43Speaker 4: thanksgiving them being, saying that after an incredibly tough week,
- 31:48Speaker 4: Rowan was discharged to the Nicky last night and we're
- 31:51Speaker 4: all home together at last. Emotions are hard to put
- 31:54Speaker 4: into words, trauma, grief, overwhelming, gratitude, all tangled together. Then
- 31:59Speaker 4: give him the bottom our hearts for every prayer message
- 32:01Speaker 4: and every little bit of love that you send our way.
- 32:04Speaker 4: We're being held by our family and close friends in
- 32:07Speaker 4: this amazing online community, and it is meant more than
- 32:09Speaker 4: you'll ever know during one of the hardest weeks we've
- 32:11Speaker 4: ever faced. But everyone now is healthy, stable, and home
- 32:14Speaker 4: and we're so so grateful, and now the gentle work
- 32:18Speaker 4: of healing begins.
- 32:21Speaker 3: I'm sure she'll kind of detail. I mean, maybe she won't,
- 32:23Speaker 3: but maybe she will.
- 32:24Speaker 4: But obviously something happened in the birth that was incredibly scary,
- 32:28Speaker 4: and we're just so glad everything has worked out and
- 32:31Speaker 4: everybody's doing well.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean she doesn't obviously have to yes', but
- 32:37Speaker 2: at all. I'd be lying if I said I'm not
- 32:41Speaker 2: interested or I know, curious, but I'm glad. I mean
- 32:45Speaker 2: that final note is is so valuable that everybody's home,
- 32:50Speaker 2: happy and healthy. That is a gift that we just
- 32:55Speaker 2: cannot ignore. Well, that's all the headlines we have for
- 32:58Speaker 2: you this week. We'll be back more this week with
- 33:02Speaker 2: some breakdowns of stories that are happening in the headline,
- 33:06Speaker 2: so stay tuned to listen to those. In addition to that,
