- 0:00Exodus Chapter 9 let us pray our Father, who's higher, who's
- 0:06greater, who's better, who's everything to us.
- 0:09God, we get out of our own way, out of our own understanding.
- 0:12God would give you center stage. We love you Father.
- 0:15We thank you for all of the many blessings you've already poured
- 0:18out upon your people. Thank you God, we pray for the
- 0:21strength of the underground church.
- 0:23We pray for the strength of the ekklesia, the called out ones.
- 0:27Lord, all of your people who are called by your name throughout
- 0:30all of the world. God, I pray you'll strengthen us
- 0:33for this hour, God, strengthen marriages, strengthen families
- 0:37in this hour. God, for such a time as this,
- 0:39help us not to shrink back in fear and be cowards, God, but
- 0:43help us to ascend the hill. We look up, we see our Maker, we
- 0:47see the one who created everything, God, and we receive
- 0:51our salvation. We receive our marching orders.
- 0:54We thank you God for giving us life and life abundant.
- 0:57We thank you God for all of the many things that you do for us.
- 1:01Lord, thank you for health. Thank you for food.
- 1:04Thank you for clean drinking water.
- 1:05God, I pray for those that are struggling today in addiction.
- 1:09Lord, break the chains of addiction from off of them.
- 1:13God, Break the suicidal spirit, God, from off of this
- 1:16generation. God, I pray for the woman who's
- 1:19struggling to make the decision to keep life.
- 1:21God, we pray for the sanctity of life.
- 1:24Lord, I pray she chooses life. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 1:29for husbands and wives to be reconciled.
- 1:31I pray in the name of Jesus for the prodigals to come home.
- 1:34Bind the enemy, God, from off of our families, from off of this
- 1:39ministry, God, bind the enemy from off of our workplaces.
- 1:42God, bind the enemy, God, from every single demonic attack that
- 1:47comes our way. Lord, I pray that we press in
- 1:50hard to you. Lord, we rely on you.
- 1:52God, give us a force field all around us.
- 1:55Lord, form a hedge of protection all around us.
- 1:58God, let us be bulletproof all the the way to the end.
- 2:00Father, I pray that it'll be you and you and you alone, Lord,
- 2:04that we're after and we press after that.
- 2:06We want God more than we want our next breath, more than our
- 2:10next heartbeat in our chest. God, we want you.
- 2:13Lord, we eat sumptuously upon your flesh.
- 2:16We drink your blood to take God. We eat the bread of life.
- 2:20We drink the water of life. God, it is you and it is you
- 2:23alone that we are here for. So God, hide me, hide my words
- 2:27and hide my thoughts. Lord, you get the center stage.
- 2:30You teach us, Lord, Holy Spirit, fill us today.
- 2:33And Holy Spirit, come and have your way.
- 2:35God, wreck us today, wreck all of our doctrine and theology.
- 2:39God, break it all down in the name of Jesus, Lord, and build
- 2:43us back up in your infallible, inerrant word.
- 2:46We thank you, God, for everything that you do and
- 2:49everything that you've done. Jesus Christ, the same
- 2:51yesterday, today, and forever. Father, we love you and it's in
- 2:55Jesus Christ holy and precious and powerful and awesome name
- 2:59that I pray men. Well, let's start in verse one.
- 3:09Then the Lord said unto Moses, go in unto Pharaoh and tell him,
- 3:13this is what the Lord the God of the Hebrews says.
- 3:16Let my people go that they may serve me.
- 3:21So here, God's not playing games anymore.
- 3:23He's already sent the lice. He's already sent the flies.
- 3:27He has already sent the frogs. He's turned the staff into a
- 3:30snake. He's turned the water into
- 3:32blood. Friends, God has done so many
- 3:35powerful signs and wonders and miracles and plagues that you
- 3:39would think that Pharaoh will be done playing games with God and
- 3:43hardening his heart. But let's see how it goes verse
- 3:462. For if you refuse to let them
- 3:48go, will hold them still. 3 Behold, the hand of the Lord is
- 3:55upon your cattle, which is in the field.
- 4:00Upon the horses, upon the donkeys, upon the camels, upon
- 4:05the ox, and upon the sheep. There shall be a grievous
- 4:09Moraine. This was a pestilence.
- 4:11This was a plague upon the livestock.
- 4:14This was the first time you see death enter in from this point,
- 4:20from here till this point, friends, you have seen there has
- 4:25been this degree of escalation. And now we're going to see death
- 4:30enter in and it'll start with all the cattle with this Moraine
- 4:36for and the Lord shall sever between the cattle of Israel and
- 4:42the cattle of Egypt, and there shall nothing die of all that is
- 4:46the children of Israel's. So in the land of Goshen all is
- 4:49well, but here in the land of Egypt it's going to be
- 4:53catastrophic loss of livestock. 5 And the Lord appointed a set
- 5:00time, saying to Morrow, The Lord shall do this thing in the land.
- 5:06You would think that this would be enough for Pharaoh to say,
- 5:09OK, stop, make it stop, y'all go get from me, get from here.
- 5:18But he does not. 6 And the Lord did that thing on the Morrow,
- 5:24and all the cattle of Egypt died, but the cattle of the
- 5:29children of Israel did not die, not 17 And Pharaoh sent, and
- 5:35behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead.
- 5:40And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the
- 5:43people go. So look at how Pharaoh time and
- 5:47time and time and time and time again, he's given chance after
- 5:50chance after chance after chance, and he will not let the
- 5:54people go. And God is going to have his
- 5:57way, regardless of what man has to say. 8 And the Lord said unto
- 6:08Moses and Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the
- 6:12furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it towards heaven in the sight
- 6:17of Pharaoh. 9 And it shall become small dust in all the
- 6:22land of Egypt, and shall be a boil, breaking forth with blames
- 6:27upon man and upon beast throughout all the land of
- 6:30Egypt. So here you're going to see that
- 6:32Moses is going to grab some of the ashes and throw it up in the
- 6:37air, and it's going to cause many boils and sores and pussing
- 6:42wounds to happen within all of the land of Egypt.
- 6:46And you're going to see a lot of this mirrored and modeled in the
- 6:49Book of Revelation, friends. You see so many of these plagues
- 6:54and so many of these bowls and so many of the seals that come.
- 6:58And you can also see God's long-suffering giving kindness
- 7:02upon mankind, as He gives them chance after chance after chance
- 7:06after chance to repent and to make it right.
- 7:09But how many times have we seen that Pharaoh's heart was
- 7:12hardened? 9 In it shall be becomes small
- 7:19dust in the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil, breaking forth
- 7:22with blames upon a man and upon beast throughout the land of
- 7:26Egypt. 10 And they took ashes of the furnace, stood before
- 7:30Pharaoh, Moses sprinkled it up towards heaven, it became a
- 7:35boil, breaking forth with blames upon man and upon beast. 11 And
- 7:39the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the
- 7:43boils, for the boil was upon the magicians and upon the
- 7:47Egyptians. 12 The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he
- 7:50listened not to them, as the Lord had spoken to Moses.
- 7:55So you can see here that time and time again he's given a
- 7:58chance, and time and time again his heart is hardened, and God
- 8:02reveals that. 13 And the Lord said to Moses, rise up early in
- 8:07the morning, stand before Pharaoh, say to him, this is
- 8:11what the Lord God of the Hebrews says, Let my people go, that
- 8:18they may serve me. So if you can only imagine this
- 8:21scene where you have Moses and Aaron and they're coming unto
- 8:27Pharaoh's court, they're asking for an audience.
- 8:31They told him what their request was.
- 8:35Moses and Aaron were like a prophet and a God unto Pharaoh.
- 8:42Pharaoh is looking down upon them from his high position and
- 8:46we see the staff get turned into a snake.
- 8:50We're seeing the water get turned into blood.
- 8:53We're seeing Moses hand leprous and then clean again.
- 8:58We're seeing flies and frogs and lice.
- 9:01We're seeing the cattle die. We're seeing boils all over
- 9:05every single person in Egypt. We're seeing the land of Goshen
- 9:09spared, and you would think all of this would be enough for
- 9:13Pharaoh to finally throw in the towel and to admit defeat and
- 9:18allow them to leave on their own terms.
- 9:21But let's see how it goes. 14 Four I will at this time send
- 9:33all my plagues upon your heart and upon your servants and upon
- 9:37your people, that you may know that there is none like me in
- 9:40all the earth. So God Almighty is omnipotent,
- 9:43omniscient, and omnipresent. He's the only one.
- 9:46There is no one who is higher than God Almighty. 15 For now I
- 9:52will stretch out my hand, that I may strike, and all the people
- 9:56with pestilence, and you shall be cut off from the earth.
- 10:00So God is done playing games. He's about to bring this
- 10:04judgment of hail and fire upon the land. 16 And in very deed
- 10:10for this, 'cause I have raised you up for to show in you my
- 10:14power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the
- 10:18earth. And we're still talking about it
- 10:20today. We're still talking about the
- 10:24Exodus today, friends. And God wants to call you out of
- 10:28bondage, friend. This is synonymous to a lot of
- 10:33the things that we go through in life, things that have ensnared
- 10:37us into slavery and bondage. And God wants us to have our
- 10:42Exodus moment where we completely annihilate all the
- 10:47opposition and give God all of His due honor and glory and
- 10:53power over our lives. 17 As you exalt you yourself against my
- 11:00people, that you will not let them go. 18 Behold, tomorrow
- 11:06about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail,
- 11:11such as has not been in Egypt since the foundation of it, even
- 11:15until now. 19 Send therefore now and gather your cattle and all
- 11:20that you have in the field. For upon every man and beast
- 11:23which shall be found in the field shall not be brought home,
- 11:27and the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
- 11:31So this was a massive amount of heavy hail that was going to
- 11:38come down and would end all life of anyone caught outside in the
- 11:44open. 20 He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants
- 11:52of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses.
- 11:5521 And he that regarded not the word of the Lord left his
- 11:59servants and his cattle in the field. 22 And the Lord said unto
- 12:03Moses, Stretch forth your hand toward heaven, that there may be
- 12:07hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, on beast, on every herb
- 12:20of the field throughout the land of Egypt.
- 12:22So you can see here that there were those who actually followed
- 12:27after the instructions, and then there were those who took
- 12:31lightly upon it, and it caused them their life. 23 of Moses
- 12:36stretched forth his rod toward heaven, and the Lord sent
- 12:40Thunder and hail, and the fire ran along the ground, and the
- 12:44Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
- 12:47So can you see the lightning and the Thunder and the hail coming
- 12:51down on the land, and it is burning up the vegetation, and
- 12:56it's crushing even the trees and the cattle and the men?
- 13:0124 So there was hail and fire mingled with the hail, very
- 13:05grievous, such as there was none like it, And all the land of
- 13:09Egypt since it became a nation, they had never seen anything
- 13:12like this. There was no getting prepared
- 13:14for something like this. It was only by the mouth of
- 13:17Moses that they could learn what was going to happen. 25 And the
- 13:22hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt, all that was in
- 13:25the field, both man and beast. And the hail struck every herb
- 13:29of the field and broke every tree of the field.
- 13:32So this hail and this lightning and Thunder and the fire was so
- 13:37much so that it even broke all the trees down. 26 Only in the
- 13:41land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was
- 13:45there no hail. See how God supernaturally
- 13:48protects his people? And it's no different in our day
- 13:52and our our friends. We have the supernatural hedge
- 13:55of protection around us, friends.
- 13:58And I've never seen the righteous begging for bread. 27
- 14:02And Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron and said to
- 14:06them, I've sinned this time the Lord is righteous, and I and my
- 14:10people are wicked. Finally Pharaoh consents, but he
- 14:16will eventually retract this consent. 28 Entreat the Lord,
- 14:22for it is enough that there be no more mighty thunderings and
- 14:26hail, and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.
- 14:31So it looks as if God finally got a hold of Pharaoh's heart,
- 14:35and he's going to let him go. But we're going to learn how it
- 14:38ends. 29 And Moses said to him, As soon as I am gone out of the
- 14:43city, I will spread abroad my hands to the Lord, and the
- 14:46Thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail,
- 14:50that you may know how that the earth is the Lords Psalms. 24
- 14:56The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it.
- 14:58And we do not bow down to a false God or swear by a false
- 15:02idol. And we have clean hands and a
- 15:04pure heart. Friends, that is our call.
- 15:06Everything in the earth, all the inhabitants, every single thing
- 15:11that's in the earth is the Lord's dirty.
- 15:15But As for you and your servants, I know that you will
- 15:18not yet fear the Lord God. So Moses had the insight that
- 15:24God had given him, and he knew that Pharaoh was just wanting
- 15:27everything to stop. But he cared nothing for the
- 15:30Israelites. He cared nothing for God.
- 15:32He was thinking that somehow, some way, he could still keep
- 15:35control of God's chosen people. And it will never work out that
- 15:40way, friends, just so you know, even today, in this day and such
- 15:44a time as this, and for all time sake till the end of his story,
- 15:49God's chosen people will be there in the end.
- 15:52You can't do anything with them, friends.
- 15:55They have God's supernatural protection. 31 And the flax and
- 16:02the barley was struck, and the barley was in the year, and the
- 16:05flax was bald. 32 But the wheat and the rice, they were not
- 16:09stricken, for they were not grown up.
- 16:12So he's saying, even though your crops have failed, you have
- 16:15other crops that have not grown up yet.
- 16:18And so your heart will be hardened, because in your mind
- 16:21you will think we'll just survive off of the crops that
- 16:24are not here yet. 33 And Moses went out of the city of Pharaoh,
- 16:28and spread abroad his hands unto the Lord, and the thunders and
- 16:32the hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
- 16:3634 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the
- 16:39Thunder ceased, he sinned yet more and hardened his heart.
- 16:47He and his servants we'll end on. 35 In the heart of Pharaoh
- 16:52was hard, and neither would he let the children of Israel go.
- 16:55As the Lord had spoken by Moses, so Moses had the insight that
- 17:00Pharaoh was going to continue this on, that he was not yet
- 17:04ready to let them go. And Can you imagine Pharaoh
- 17:09losing his workforce? Here he was thinking that he
- 17:15could just take away the straw and have them keep the quota of
- 17:21bricks up and beat the taskmasters and deal with them
- 17:27even more severely and look at how it's all going for them.
- 17:31It'll never amount to anything good when we oppress God's
- 17:34people. I hope that you've been blessed
- 17:37by this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 17:39I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 17:42of you. I love you.
- 17:46We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 17:48God bless you.
