- Chandler: Welcome back to Run After Cast, the College Football Podcast. We're back with another Thursday prediction and pick'em episode for you guys. I'm here as always with Aaron. Aaron: It's me. Chandler: And Ryan. Ryan: Hey guys. Chandler: And just to recap how this episode works, short and sweet, we go through each game of the weekend that we're gonna be watching. We're gonna have Ryan and Aaron guess the lines and the overunder. I'll tell them what it is and we'll go over our score predictions for each game. But first, I have a little Would You Rather for you guys. I had a little gym conversation today with one of my buddies. Not these two, because they weren't there. So I had to go Aaron: Ha ha ha ha ha. Ryan: I was there. Chandler: I had to go talk to an Alabama fan about this. So the would you rather situation is would you rather for three hundred and sixty-five days ride It's a Small World at Disney World once every four hours during park operation hours or not watch any football for a whole calendar year. or have any contact with football. Like you can't like have conversations about it. You can't like watch recaps, can't do anything. Like you can't do any of that. But like you still get your salary, but you have to be within four hours of that window of riding that ride or your time resets. Ryan: D do I have to travel to Disney World every single time or do I have a it's a small world here? Chandler: No, you ha you are in Disney World. Like you have you live down there for Ryan: Twenty four seven. Chandler: you live down there twenty four seven and you have to that your only job throughout the year, er like all amenities, food, water, all that's paid for, all you gotta do is make sure that you ride that ride once every four hours or your time resets. Ryan: How much do I make? Chandler: Whatever your normal salary is. Ryan: I'm unemployed. Chandler: So nothing. Well let's pretend you let's Ryan: Okay. Aaron: So you're doing it for the love of the the love of the world. Chandler: pretend you make a hundred thousand dollars a year. Ryan: I would write as a small word for a hundred thousand dollars. What I gotta write it like three times? It's not that bad. Chandler: three times a day, twenty four s like y three sixty five seven days a week, you have to be in that park. Ryan: It's really not that bad. If college football wasn't even on the other end, I'd probably still do it. Aaron: I you know, Chandler: Okay. Aaron: I'm the deal here. The my job is every four hours. I just gotta show up in line, you know, play like a mobile phone game or watch TikTok while I wait, ride the ride. I won't even be paying attention to it. I'll have it tuned out. I Ryan: There's no way. Aaron: have toddlers. I don't listen to anything now. And it's like you just ride it. I'm getting paid. I'm just hanging out. Yeah, that's like. Chandler: But see like you could really drill into this Aaron: Way better than a job. Chandler: and like it could like three hundred sixty five days a year, it's gonna be really tiring at some point to go there every single day and ride this. Like you're gonna have no like your day is centered around this every single day. Aaron: I just I just get a tent and just Yeah. I just live there. Ryan: We can just go you could eat, you could go to the gym, go back and ride it again, I could ride Space Mountain. Chandler: Yeah, but you miss that four hour window, your your year resets. Aaron: You ever been stuck in an airport for a weekend? Like, I've I've slept on the flo Yeah. But Chandler: Not three hundred sixty five days. Aaron: for a couple days, you're just sleeping on the floor and you're living this like partially homeless life. I I'm that's where I'm going in my headspace where I'm like, I could find a corner in the park where people don't really check. Chandler: No, you can like Ryan: Mind it. Chandler: you can sleep at like a normal place outside of park hours. Like you don't you're not stuck in the park. Yeah. Aaron: see, I was gonna do it as a homeless man. so I mean, to not watch football Ryan: Like you just have to go into the park. Chandler: You just have to Aaron: for a whole year, that's tough. That's rough. Ryan: This should be a Mr Beast thing. Mr. Beast, do this. Aaron: I'm gonna need more than a hundred thousand dollars, though. If Mr. Beast's behind it, you know. Yeah, two million dollars and I I live in Disney Chandler: Okay, that Aaron: for a year, I'm here. But I just I don't think I'd give up football. It's like Ryan: I don't mind it. Yeah, I get I get to go to Disney and I get money. No. Aaron: my favorite hobby. Chandler: But Ryan: I could watch football and then on it's a small world. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: There's no way. I can just walk on, ride it, I'm good for the day, good for four hours. I go home and watch a football. Chandler: That was my hypothetical. I I had a Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: we were talking about going to Disney and then we were also talking about college football. And then me not having a lot of brain cells, thought Aaron: Like you can only have one. Chandler: about that. Ryan: Give me another one. Chandler: that's all I got. I do have something else for you though. Illinois versus Ohio State. Ryan: Okay. Okay. All right. Chandler: What do you think the overunder in line is? Ryan: What do I think the line is? I think Ohio State is gonna be favored by 26 and a half, and the over-under is gonna be 52 and a half. Aaron: Ooh, I'm right there with ya. I've got Ohio State favored. 27 and a half to over under 56 and a half. Chandler: The line is twenty six and a half Ohio State's way and fifty three and a half over under. Aaron: Really, a little low scoring. Ryan: We talked about this one at the gym. Cameron asked me the other day Chandler: Ha ha ha. Ryan: and I said I don't have to do this for a few days and he said no do it right now and then I guessed it. And he told me it was right. So he shouldn't have just told me the answer. Yeah. But I mean, Illinois's not a pushover. They Caiton Houser at quarterback. He's done pretty well. He's seventy four percent completion percentage and eight touchdowns. So he's pretty consistent. But seven of those touchdowns were to Colin Dixon, the receiver. And he has the most receiving touchdowns in the country with that seven. But they've only played UAB, Duke, and Southern Illinois, and they lost to Duke. So that's really bad. And Julian Sane is on Ohio State. One of the best QBs. You got Jeremiah Smith, best receiver of our generation. Maybe a hundred years. I don't know. And two great running backs. The Jackson two instead of the Jackson five, you know, because there's both Bo Jackson and you know I'm saying. Yeah. All right. But I mean, Illinois, Chandler: Shh. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: like They just can't let Ohio State s establish the run. Like in the first half of Texas, they were getting five or six yards a pop whenever they wanted. Illinois just gonna have to like control the clock, keep their offense on the field to waste time, make it not look that bad so that Ohio State can go go score a lot of points. So just don't put your mane on Colin Dixon and you should win again. You've won the best the past ten. Chandler: Whoa, he's been doing good this year. Ryan: So forty five thirteen, Ohio State. Aaron: We're very similar thinking here. I I'll go ahead and say my number. Forty five fourteen. going Ryan: Right there. Aaron: Ohio States. Yeah. I I just I I think Illinois gonna play well, but I think Ohio State, I think y'all know i this is ride or die for the rest of the season. Like you've got to play your best all the way through. You have a high caliber loss, but now you're counting on Texas to run the gambit, so that loss looks good at the end. So you need to shore up every weakness, every game needs to count for y'all. So I think you just come in strong. I think you're you're not letting off in any way. So I think it's just gonna come out high points and Illinois going to get two and that's that's game over. Chandler: I like it. I have it at forty one to twelve. Aaron: So we're we're all in the ballpark there. I think we all see a similar game. Chandler: We're all in the ballpark. I I really Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: want to see them put up forty plus in conference play. Because last year they Ryan: Time. Chandler: didn't do that a whole lot. They were they beat up on the smaller teams and they didn't didn't get up into the forties, the fifties a lot in in regular season normal games. So I want to see that offense, you know, get momentum and keep momentum throughout the season. Okay. Next we have Texas versus Tennessee. Aaron, take us away. Aaron: Mm. So I have this going six point Chandler: Also, Aaron: five. Chandler: three hundred and fifty two dollars for the lowest ticket in the in the stadium. That's insane. Aaron: Ooh, that's a lot more than a hot dog in a drink. Chandler: So now take us away. Sorry. I saw that as I was looking at the line, I was like, holy bully, Aaron: So, yeah. So, yeah. Ryan: Hot dog. Chandler: that's a lot. Aaron: That's a that's an expensive ticket. And for that, I think you'll get to see Texas at a 6.5 favorite with the over-under at the bog standard 55.5. Ryan: I think Texas is going to be favored by seven points and I have the over under at fifty six and a half. Chandler: line is tighter than both of y'all's the line Aaron: Really? Chandler: is four and a half and the over under is fifty five and a half. Ryan: Interesting. Aaron: So normally when I'm doing my thoughts here of like building a line, I think of like, are they giving it a field goal or a touchdown? And then are they taking like I normally consider a home field advantage a three point either way for whoever's favored. So to Ryan: Formula. Aaron: me, a four point five is like they favored Texas by a touchdown, but they're giving that three points of home field advantage to Tennessee. But that to me Hey Chandler: sitting in bed at night running formulas in his head to how he can get better at picking lines. Aaron: It's the life of an A D D O C D man. Ryan: Yeah, it's it's what we do. Aaron: yeah. To me, that's crazy. Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: That's I I just am not really seeing why they have this so close. I get Tennessee's a capable team. I'm not coming after Tennessee as hard as I normally do. But Texas has proved some metal here. It's early season. We've seen a couple mistakes out of them, sure. But this is a this is a high scoring team. So I have this going. Texas playing solid, strong football. Scoring 37 to 17. Like I don't see it as that close. It's Ryan: So Aaron: not going to be one of Tennessee's four or eight wins this season. Ryan: For Tennessee, I mean, it is at home, but they're the less tested team. They've only played Furman, Georgia Tech, and Kennesaw State, while Texas has played and beat Ohio State. But Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: Tennessee, you know, yeah, they have things going for them. They're at home. They have Fayian Brandon, who's a really talented freshman quarterback, and Deshaun Bishop at running back. But a huge issue is that Ethan Davis is now hurt. And I think people overlook that a little bit because h he's like a big threat in the passing and the running game. So he's out of there now. Cause he had block and he'd go out and catch some passes. So that's not good. But if you're Texas, I mean you just need to pressure phasing Brandon. And it should be pretty easy because they have a good D line. And if they protect Arch and they get Hollywood Smothers and Relique Brown a lot of touches, they should win this game pretty good. give me Texas thirty eight to twenty four. Aaron: So you're seeing a similar gap that I'm seeing. Yeah. Ryan: Yeah. I don't think it's gonna be that close. Chandler: I'm gonna go I'm gonna go thirty-five twenty-eight. Field goal kickers are getting no reps. Ryan: I like it. Chandler: They probably will. It's probably a horrible pick. But thirty-five twenty eight. Let's do some round numbers in the score. Aaron: Well, we'll see. We'll see. And Tennessee fans, I know you're gonna you're gonna mention stuff in the comments. And that's fine. You deserve to. Just know. Chandler: Especially that strength and conditioning coach. Ryan: Yeah, you have a physical team with the Derek Aaron: Saturday. Come back. Ryan: Owing steroid strength program, so Aaron: Alleged Derek Schaefer. Ryan: Well. Either Chandler: Ha ha Ryan: that or you can't count, so pick one. Aaron: That's true. Chandler: Right, now we have Oklahoma and Georgia. Brian, where do you see this going? Ryan: I see Georgia as a twenty-one point favorite and the overunder at forty six and a half. Aaron: That's quite a strong favorite. I have him a little less. I'm giving him a two touchdown here. 14.5 George's way with 46 and a half. I agree with you on the over-under. This is a defensive game. Chandler: It is Georgia by fourteen and the over under Aaron: Ooh. Chandler: being forty-four and a half. Ryan: I mean, that's surprising. Aaron: so they even have a lower scoring than we see. Ryan: Yeah, I mean, that's surprising. Georgia is the way better team here. Oklahoma has the worst offense in college football. They call it offense because it's offensive for me to watch. And Georgia's Aaron: Ha ha. Ryan: over here running drills during their game. And Kirby's Aaron: I did see that. Ryan: not Kirby's not done. He's he's mad he's not winning championships, you know? And this is gonna be a bad game. Georgia's defense is always really good, and they literally just have to contain Centenya and maybe like Rocky Beers a little bit. And that shouldn't be a problem for because they're always really good. John Mateer couldn't hit him if they're running routes on air. But give me Georgia 100 to nothing. Aaron: This is Ryan's hundred and nothing of the week. I like it. I I I do. I I'm not going that bold. I have this game going thirty four ten Georgia's way. I I I just don't I I do think Oklahoma can have some defense that can show up. I just don't see their offense really wrangling it together. I I see maybe one lucky one getting through. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: I have thirty four fourteen. Ryan: Ooh, they'd have to score two touchdowns. Might be tough. Aaron: Okay. Yep. Chandler: Sure. Aaron: The and you know, they Chandler: It is gonna be tough. Aaron: didn't quite do it against New Mexico last week, so Sorry, Oklahoma Chandler: Okay. Aaron: fans. Ryan: Yeah, I'm sorry. Chandler: Moving on down to a Big Ten special. We have two defensive powerhouses. Iowa at Michigan. Aaron, take us away. Number seventeen versus number eighteen. Aaron: So we got home advantage. Michigan hasn't given us a lot this season. Michigan fans, I know you're gonna come. You all show up. Chandler: Not a lot of points either. Aaron: Not a lot of points. I still think it's gonna go Michigan's way, and I have it going 5.5 towards Michigan. But this is a defensive game. So over-under to me is low, and I've got it at 40.5. Ryan: Well, I was in the same boy. Chandler: Ha ha ha. Aaron: Whoa. We had a weekend. Ryan: Yeah Yeah, no, I wasn't Hoyd. It's family Hoyde to speak. No. Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: Wild weekend for sure. Ryan: Yeah, I wasn't saying boat here. I think team up north's gonna be favored by like three. Yeah, very low over under forty point five. Chandler: Five and a half Michigan's way, Mr. Aaron. Aaron: Ooh Ryan: Wow, he guessed them that's You're so good. Chandler: And the over-under is 38 and a half. Aaron: Whoa, they Ryan: Mm. Aaron: so they're really seeing it low scoring. Yeah. Chandler: baseball score, you know, they're they're seeing a lot of points being scored. And you know, I don't mind it. Aaron: I don't either. And Chandler: I think they have plenty of data points to keep this over under below. Aaron: I see this as a like I said, this is a defensive game because Michigan has shown us defense. Iowa's shown us defense. Both, I would say very good. offensively, different story for both teams. I see this as a close game. I've got it twenty one seventeen, but give me the scrappy Iowa for the win. Ryan: You know, Aaron, I love that. Team up north is terrible. Their offense is atrocious, but they always have a pretty good defense and their D line's pretty good. But I was very, very sneaky. They usually are pretty scrappy, but they have a pretty sound defense as well. That's what they're known for, having a good defense. So I think this is gonna be a lower scoring game like we talked about. But yeah, give me Iowa. Sixteen to thirteen. Chandler: Give me Iowa twenty to seventeen. Aaron: So you're right there with me. We got a one point difference in our guess. That's very Chandler: Mm. And you know why? Because I'm never going to pick Michigan to win a game. Aaron: I understand Ryan: Especially this year when they suck so bad. Aaron: that. But no, I there is something. There's a magic to Iowa that they're not going to do it every game, but they I think they are the definition of a trap game team. Like you could it doesn't you don't know when it's gonna show up, but when it does, it it up it's an upset. Ryan: Yeah, and they're not gonna do it against Ohio State, but they can do it against Team of North. Chandler: Okay. Moving down the list, we have Texas A and at LSU. LSU coming off a heartbreaker at Ole Miss. How do you see this going? Ryan: I think LSU's gonna be favored by nine points. And give me the over-under at 53 and a half. Aaron: I'm right there with you, like always. I got LSU favored at eight and a half with fifty two point five as the over under. sh wow. I went Ryan: I should've done a half. I should've done a half. Aaron: I went with two field goals and home field advan advantage is my Chandler: His his algorithm is or his formula is working. Ryan: Good Aug. He has Chat GPT in his head. Chandler: And the over the over under is fifty one and a half. Aaron: Fifty one. Okay, so they see it low scoring. Chandler: Two one and a half. Yes. Ryan: Okay, through a question in this game, which Marceau Reed shows up? Marceau Reed's really good until he actually has to do anything. But I really like that he has Mario Kraber and even Isaiah Horton a little. He has weapons, yet he seems not to get it done. He seems not to be able to hit them in crucial situations. He's just very inconsistent. He's the definition of like a high low guy. So who's gonna show up this week? He usually can't get it done, and I think LSU's actually really good. I think Sam Levitt's good. I think the lights were a little too bright last weekend. I mean he played a team that like was just super emotional that they would do anything to win that game. And you can't really beat that kind of team, that kind of unity. So I am worried though that they don't have Tradez Green. They still have a lot of other weapons. I think their run game will be a little better because they're playing an easier D line this week. So I think LSU bounces back and I think they beat Texas Aidem thirty one to seventeen. Aaron: Okay. I have a different take on this. I said many times AM has their trash game. They have their loss. And after that, they tend to bounce back really strong. And after Elko's presser after the game, I felt confident that that team was going into overdrive to fix some of these mistakes. I agree, you never know which. A quarterback shows up, the good one or the questionable one. I think that LSU was full commit to prepping for the old miss game. They knew it was coming. Everything leading up to that game was prepping for that game. I don't think they were looking at AM as strong because all the focus was there. But if you you think AM, this has to be the game they've circled. This was their first big game. So I think they're prepped for A or L S U. Maybe a little bit more. And now with that, we gotta save our season. I think LSU might be just a little caught up in the emotions of everything that went down. I think you know that was a bummer. It was the one game you didn't want to lose. So I have this going A and M's direction thirty twenty four. Ryan: I could see it. If Marcel keeps the ball Aaron: Mm-hmm. Ryan: out of harm's way and they just keep that turnover margin more manageable, I I could see them like possibly pulling this game out, you know? Chandler: Give me Texas A and thirty to twenty seven. Aaron: Wow. Ryan: Ooh. Aaron: So you see it too. You see the you see the close game potential, but then keeping it together at the end because A<unk>M needs it. Ryan: She was just all says like Sam Levitt. Chandler: I think I think that if Marcel Reed can like just like Teal said, not turn the ball over four times like he did against Kentucky, and keep being a weapon with his legs, I mean that's a recipe for success. You just gotta put it together. If you can do that for four Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: Yeah. Yep. Chandler: quarters, not turn the ball over, and be an X Factor with your legs, they're win the game. Thirty to twenty seven. Okay. Ryan: Mm. That's true. Yeah. Tech CNN, they need to play their first game of all four quarters. Even Arizona State. Like you played a half, you know. Chandler: Now we go to the people that could be on a little bit of a hangover. We go to Ole Miss. Ole Miss versus Florida. How do we think that game's gonna go? Aaron: This is at Florida. And Chandler: In the swamp. Aaron: it's in the swamp. And I think Vegas is taking the hangover into consideration. So if I when I was putting this together, I saw it as a neutral game. Home field advantage puts it to a 2.5 Florida's direction. Close game. And I I I was like, Ole Miss should be favored. But I think they're going to go with Florida. Florida's on a heater. So's old Miss. But I see this is a high scoring game at fifty nine point five is the over. Ryan: Yeah, I thought Florida I thought it was around four, so Florida by four and sixty over under. I see it being a high score game. I do think it's funny some roll asked if they were on drugs. I did see that clip. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: Can't find this game. Ryan: Control F and then type in Florida? I'm just kidding, sorry. Chandler: Florida is favored by three and a half points. And the overunder Aaron: so we split it. Chandler: is fifty-eight and a half. And I Aaron: Okay. Chandler: I I I love somewhere else comment. Like Teal said, I mean, he was like, Man, there's some good drugs out there. I don't know how we are favored against that team. And I mean, I agree with him. I think it's gonna be two offensive teams that have shown to have some leaky defense. So it's gonna be whichever defense can button it down a little tighter and maybe win a turnover margin is who will win this game. Aaron: I agree. And since I'm kicking this off, I'll start my guest with my Mississippi State fan hat on, putting a lid on it right now. And I'm going to say Chandler: Ho ho ho ho ho Aaron: this is 100 to zero, Florida's way. Ole Miss can't show up because Chandler: Ha ha. Aaron: they cancel their football program. You know, that's how I see it as a Mississippi State fan. I'm going take the hat off now and I'm going to try to be as neutral as possible. But I have this game go in Florida. I I really look at it. I believe in Chambliss. I think he's an amazing quarterback. I like what Ole Miss is doing. I think they're solid, but I can't get what Louisville did out of my head. And Louisville doesn't have Jaden Ball. And watching Jaden Ball at Auburn and just how he's punching up through the line, the line's giving him holes to work with. Ole Miss is we've seen that as an issue. and I think Jaden Ball just finds holes to work through and grinds down that field. And I think it becomes a war of attrition. It's close. It's 34-31. Florida taken in the final drive. Ryan: See, yeah. I mean, I was kind of surprised when I heard Florida was favored here, but I like how Summerall handled it. I thought it was very funny. but I mean they came in and handled us last week, and both of these teams have very electric offenses. So yeah, I'm feeling a really high score game as well. And Florida is such a physical team. They have such a physical defense, and even their offensive line, they're all big and strong. They were just manhandling us. But Even though it was garbage time, they still allowed Auburn to score a lot of points against them. And Ole Miss is a very good D line, except in every game except for last week, their secondaries seem pretty vulnerable. But you gotta contain Jaden Ball. And I think Trinidad's amazing when he's able to turn it on. But it's kinda when he like brings up like he has to overcome some kind of adversity like last year the Georgia game or last week against LSU when he turns it on. But I think that last week was such an emotional high that this game won't kind of seem as big to him and they're not really gonna be able to like up it as much. So I think Florida actually sneaks this one and forty two thirty eight. Chandler: riding with Trinidad. I have them not only taking the lid off this game, but having a double digit win here. I have Aaron: Okay. Chandler: them winning forty one to thirty one. And I just you know, I think they're gonna be clicking. I think they have a lot of momentum. Ryan: You know? Chandler: Until I see them that train slow down, they're gonna be riding high. Aaron: I I don't think that's a bad Ryan: You know, I don't hate Aaron: take. Ryan: Yeah, I don't hate it. I want that to happen. I just feel like this is a weird thing. They're trying to set set them up to drop this game. But I I want Olez to win this Chandler: Forty one thirty one. Ryan: game and I love Trinidad. Are you putting the lid? Aaron: I don't want Ole Miss to win. I don't I don't want him to Chandler: No, the lid's off. Aaron: lids off. No, I I don't want Ole Miss to Chandler: Q1 popped it. Aaron: win another football game for the rest of their season. But that that's Ryan: Key one's hurt. Key Wan can't play a full game of football getting hurt. Aaron: what I worry about is the health Chandler: That's what he popped. Aaron: of Keywan Lacey. So if he can't if he's not there to give some of that support or not able to go the whole game, I I do think that shifts it. And Trinidad is amazing and he will be Ryan: Hmm. Aaron: the life of that team right now. But I just think Florida's rolling. I think Florida's got something cooking. Ryan: I want it to stop though. I want Ole Miss to win this game. And I really like Deuce Alexander as well. I kinda like these guys. I like Cam Franklin. I like these guys in Ole Miss right now. Fun team to watch. Aaron: I do too. I I actually it's one of those that it's like if you're a fan of a team, you want to see your team bonding like this. Like this is a team that is fighting for more than just draft. They're not in placement. They're they're fighting as a team because they got done wrong. Chandler: Okay, next we have Oregon at USC. Aaron: Some may say one of the games of the week, if not the Ryan: Is it me? Aaron: game of the week. Ryan: I see USC as a three point favorite and giving the over under sixty point five. Aaron: See, I'm very close with you here, but I think the three point five goes in Oregon's direction. I think I see them as having a touchdown advantage, being knocked down for home field. And then I also agree sixty point five is over under. Chandler: It is Oregon's way. And it is three. Aaron: Woo. Ryan: You know, I don't think this has ever happened before. I think Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: this is the first time Chandler: And Ryan: we've split on the over under. Aaron: I I do think this is the first time we've split in all the weeks. Chandler: And the over under is sixty two and a half. Aaron: so even more than we thought. Chandler: So we got a barn Ryan: Okay, Chandler: burner in our hands. Ryan: I think this will be a good old school Pac-12 shootout. I've told y'all, Oregon, I don't like y'all. And I think you're a terrible football team. And it's all on the coaches. Y'all have some of the best talent ever, except for Dante Moore, but you can't do anything with it. But USC has a super good offense. They have Jaden Mayava and Caden Dixon Wyatt. But they actually have the worst defense I've ever seen. Their defense is like if you hired a blind security guard at a club. But except he actually ended up not being blind at all and he's just pretending so he can let everyone in for fun. But you give thirty five points to Rutgers, Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: who's the worst team in college football. However, I think Oregon isn't good enough to score that much on you anyway. So give me USC winning fifty three to forty two. Aaron: Okay. You know Chandler: That's a ninety point over under. I just want to put that out there. Holy Ryan: Yep. Chandler: moly. Ryan: Yep. Look at the defenses. They're not good. Aaron: Bar and burner. Yeah. Ryan, I agree with you here. I think both of these programs are loaded up with flour, sugar, milk, eggs, butter, but nobody knows how to make a cake out of it. So it's Ryan: Ooh, good rep. Aaron: it to me, I still see this as close. I see the lot of mistakes. I see a lot of turnovers this game. Just Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: just mistake after mistake, unforced error after unforced error. Still see a high score though. I still have it at thirty seven twenty seven, but I got it going USC's way. Ryan: Same, same. I like it. They are. Aaron: Is a man who disagrees. Chandler: Okay. play devil's advocate for Oregon here. Okay. I don't I don't wanna do it. Okay. But Dan Lanning and his program is backed up against a wall. They are sitting at ranked twenty in the AP poll. If they lose this game, they will probably be out of the top twenty five and their playoff hopes are slim to none. And I'm sure a lot of people around the country, including myself, would be happy to see them not the playoffs. But I don't think anybody in Oregon wants to lose this game. And I know they have to win this game. And I have them winning this game thirty eight to thirty one. Because we're gonna have to win this Ryan: See, but this Chandler: game. Ryan: but Lincoln Riley has to win this game. If he wants to stay as Chandler: Not as much though. Ryan: a head coach. Now we're gonna fire Dane Lanning. Chandler: He's ranked twelfth. Ryan: They don't expect to win a championship. They've never done it ever before. How could you expect to win a national championship if you'd never done it? Chandler: thirty eight thirty one. Oregon's Way. Aaron: No, I g I honestly I do see this game that this one could go either way because it's really Chandler: That is how it works. Aaron: gonna be Yeah. One team has to win. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: Oof. Aaron: So, but I I really do think it's going to come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes and whose defense can get a third down stop. And Chandler: I would take you one farther and whoever scores more points. Aaron: That's a good metric. I you know, I think more teams should try that. Like I think you win every game if you just score more points than the other team. Ryan: Yeah, I could see one of these teams winning. And whoever scores more points and keeps the other team score the least points is gonna win the game. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: Yes. Yes. I agree. Ryan: And that's gonna be USC. Aaron: I agree with you. Chandler: thirty eight thirty one. Go ducks. All right. Moving on to the third ranked Tigers in the country. Missouri at Mississippi State. Aaron: Am I up? No, I'm not. No, Chandler: Go for it. Aaron: I am. Yeah. I it's Mississippi State. I gotta take the lead here. this is Missouri at Mississippi State. Cowbells are full in full effect. You know, we get the benefit of cowbells. We didn't have them last week and we still won. I see this being favored towards Mississippi State now. I think people are seeing it. People believe in it. I don't think it's a big belief. I'm going six point favorite. They have a field goal over Missouri plus the three points for home field advantage. So give me that six points for Mississippi State with a over-under of 58.5. So a relatively high scoring game. Ryan: Yeah, I think Mississippi State is to be favored by seven with an over under fifty eight point five. Chandler: What's up guys? it is Mississippi Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: State by six and a half. And the over-under Aaron: Split again. Chandler: is fifty-five and a half. Aaron: wow, they have fifty five and a half a bog standard. That is Chandler: An Aaron standard, fifty five and a half. Aaron: That to me seems wild. Chandler: All right, Aaron. Tell us how Mississippi State's winning this game. Aaron: Mississippi State's winning this game. I got how how are they doing it? Kamario Taylor. And that's it. That's all we need. We got our nets defense making Chandler: Encompany by Davis Wade. Aaron: this stop. yeah. The Cowbells. That's music to him. You know, our team knows how to deal with that. Missouri hasn't shown us much this season. That's the fan cam we cut away. But no, I I like Missouri. Mizzou, I got no beef with you. But I gotta believe in Mississippi State here. I I just like I said, I'm gonna put my chips on the table under Camario every chance I get. I I just can't see the answer from Mizzou this week. I got this score going thirty four seventeen Mississippi State's way. Ryan: Think Missouri hasn't really looked that good to me. I like what they did against Kansas, but last week even they looked very vulnerable. And I just don't see them as a great team right now. But I also don't think they're gonna be able to contain Camario Taylor in this Mississippi State offense. And I don't think I've seen a anyone so far who has been able to do it until they prove me wrong. So I'm gonna continue to have to go with Mississippi State here. Also, Missouri is like The perfect, like you should be ranked twenty-five. So they're ranked a little high right now. So they have to lose this game to Aaron: Yep. Ryan: get back to twenty-five. So give me Mississippi State forty-two to thirty-one. Aaron: Okay, you got you got a very high scoring game, but I agree. Yeah. Keep Missouri State at the 25 rank. Ryan: I think y'all are gonna score a lot and they're gonna like you're gonna be like l play a little lax, you know, 'cause you're up by so much they'll get like thirty one. Aaron: Yeah, I can see it. Chandler: Give me I'm gonna put on my homer glasses here for Mississippi State. Thirty four twenty one Mississippi State blowing the lid off this thing. Ryan: And then you're putting Aaron: Yep. Ryan: it on. Aaron: And then I start wearing my Camario for Heisman shirt at that point. Chandler: I like it. Sponsored by Rack. Heisman campaign. Okay. Aaron: Sponsored by Rack, yeah. We'll chip in. Chandler: Now we have an absolute slobber knocker at Penn State. Wisconsin Ryan: Lobrador. Chandler: at Penn State. Ryan: I think Penn States can be favored here three and a half. And the overunder at forty six and a half. Chandler: Three and a half to the Badgers, huh? Yikes. Aaron: Well see I I saw what Ryan: What? No. Aaron: it's Ryan: Penn State. Chandler: No, I know, I'm saying they're only gonna be favored by three and a half to the Badgers. Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: Yeah, I see it as a touchdown with home field advantage, so I got it as ten point five going to pin. Chandler: Go style. Aaron: And then I got the over under at fifty point five. Chandler: Guy is tiled in. Unbelievable. Penn State is favored by 10. And the over-under is 44 and a half. Aaron: they got it as a real low scoring game then. Ryan: I see this as a low scoring game too. And I think this is an old school Big Ten game. I'm used to both of these teams just running the ball a thousand times. But Wisconsin has Danny O'Neill at quarterback this year, and they have some more downfield threats at Aaron: Mm-hmm. Ryan: receiver. So they've actually been a lot better in the past game recently. But Penn State hasn't been allowing a lot of points on them. But they also haven't played anyone yet. And even though Wisconsin lost so bad to Notre Dame. I think seeing that kind of talent on the field will help them do what they need to do to make this a physical game because they need to make it a physical game. They need to be able to run the ball, of course, because they can't put it on all on Danny O'Neill, but they need him to get utilized as well. So I think if they can contain James Peoples and the rest of the Penn State running backs from having these stupid, super explosive runs they've been having, then I actually think Wisconsin can take this game twenty four twenty one. Aaron: Ryan, I just want to say we're too similar. I agree a hundred percent with what you're saying. I had this game twenty-four-21 going Wisconsin's direction. I think I think getting Ryan: Ho ho ho ho upset. Aaron: punched in the mouth early on, sometimes that really helps a team. Like Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: w when you take that early loss and Notre Dame is a team that you should be okay losing to this year. I I I know Notre Dame hasn't gone up against super you know, top 10 matchup or anything like that. They're looking good. They've been consistent. You know, Ryan, you said they're going to be the most improved. yeah. And Wisconsin had some answers. Ryan: And it was close for a half. Yeah. And they were in close for a half. Yeah. Aaron: So I I I like that. And I haven't seen that same out of Penn State yet. I think they are still making some some early settle in moves. And I think Wisconsin comes in here prepared. I think this is a big one for them. Chandler: Okay. I have a different X factor here for you guys. I think the X factor in this Aaron: I'm ready for it. Chandler: game is gonna be the fact that it's on Peacock. Okay. And Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: with that being said, it's gonna be a low scoring game. So twenty four seventeen, but the Nittany Lions are gonna take care of business. James Peoples with two touchdowns and a hundred and thirty five all purpose yards. Aaron: Ooh, ooh, real specific call out here. I like that. Hey, I'm not gonna disagree with you here that it doesn't go that way, but I wouldn't Chandler: All because of Peacock. Aaron: because of Peacock, you can watch Star Trek and Football. Ryan: That's what I said though. If they contain if they contain John if if they can p if they if they if they contain James Peoples, Wisconsin wins. If they don't, Penn State wins. That's Aaron: Absolutely. Absolutely. Ryan: yeah, that was my whole thing. I think they're they'll make it physical and they'll hopefully contain them. Chandler: Okay, we go back to SEC Town, South Carolina at Alabama. Aaron: So I see this. Got Alabama home field. I had this as a field goal and a touchdown advantage to Alabama. Plus home field. Give me 14.5 Alabama with an over-under. Slightly under the bog standard at 55. Yep. Chandler: Double double home field. Ryan: Ha ha ha Chandler: That's weird weird little algorithm there. Aaron: give me fifty four point five on the over under. Ryan: I mean, holy alg. I mean I have I have Alabama as a fourteen point favorite in the over under fifty six and a half. Aaron: Okay. Chandler: Alabama at twelve and a half and the over under at Aaron: Okay. Chandler: fifty three point five. Aaron: All right. Ryan: Of course. Aaron: Pretty close. So Chandler: For tickets as low as nineteen dollars, you too can go watch this Aaron: Hey, Chandler: game. Aaron: that's hot dog in a train. So this game, I wrestled with this one for a while. Because people are dogging Chandler: Did you win? Aaron: South Carolina right now. No, I didn't. I'm too old. But no. I like South Carolina. I like Shane Beamer. I know that's a hard take right now. I think Alabama's in a downslope. I think we have not seen the answers we've needed to see out of Alabama. They have come back from the games, but they're games they shouldn't have had to come back from. South Carolina lost bad last week to Mississippi State. But I think that comes from just a general devaluing of Mississippi State in the preseason. People are kind of slow to catch up to the I think South Carolina comes in here. They tend to bounce back after a bad loss under Beamer. When they have one of those games, they come back strong. I got South Carolina taking this twenty seven twenty four. I know. Chandler: I knew it was coming. I knew it was coming. Ryan: I mean, I feel like you just like saying all the teams are upsets just in case, you know? Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: I mean, I don't like Alabama, obviously. But Alabama was actually able to run the ball pretty good last week. And that's kind of been their biggest issue for like this and last season, because Grub just sucks so bad. But they were able to fix that. And South Carolina's defense just isn't good enough to stop I don't think. But I do love Lenoris. And I wanna see them do well. I just think that Alabama has been giving up a lot of points, but they'll just be able to score even more. So give me Alabama forty-two to twenty-seven. Chandler: I have Alabama winning this game thirty-eight to twenty-seven. Aaron: I think completely valid takes. I disagree with them. I do. And I'm gonna stand by South Carolina taking this game. I I just Chandler: No. You you disagree with it. They're not valid. The cocks are coming. Ryan: You know, I don't hate it. I want it actually. Aaron: I think when we saw Alabama get the run game back, they were playing the curse team FSU. And FSU has done everything they can to lose games and help other team win. I I just see South Carolina when we were watching Mississippi State game, they played well. You know, it it was hard to stop Camario. I just really haven't seen that. I I think Keelon Russell has done really well this season. I think he is a pass threat, but I think South Carolina is able to bring the pressure and shut things down. Chandler: We've come to the conclusion of our journey. And we're going back to the plains at three fifteen. For the low price of sixty one dollars, you can watch this game. Vanderbilt at Auburn. Ryan. Aaron: Y'all still charging sixty one dollars? Chandler: Ryan, take it take us take us Ryan: Yeah, we're sold out. We're sold out. Chandler: take us to th through Auburn winning this game and what the score's gonna be. Ryan: I mean I hope we're favored by like seventeen and a half and the over under probably like like fifty three and a half. But I feel like that's not it. Chandler: Mm-mm. Aaron: I like your overunder. I think that's a real ambitious line. I see Aubert. Just a touchdown at seven point five. Favorite Auburn. Jordan Hare's Chandler: Pretty close. Aaron: doing a lot of work for you here. Chandler: So that home field is seven. Got it. Ryan: We gave us six points for Hope Field to her favorite by one. Aaron: No, no, I I saw it I saw it as you guys had a field goal advantage. Chandler: Okay. Auburn is favored by single digits. Nine and a half points. In the Aaron: That's two field goals. That's way better than I thought. Chandler: To Vanderbilt, nine and a half points. Over under fifty five and a half. Ryan: I mean, that's just embarrassing. Vanderbilt's always been Chandler: Ha ha Ryan: terrible, and they were only not terrible for two years because they had Eli Stars and Pavia and Chandler: And the Pobster. Ryan: they're gone. Yeah. And they have that little five-star quarterback, and you almost lost to NC State, except CJ Bailey literally handed you a touchdown because he couldn't believe it. And I know it was garbage time, but we were kind of figuring something out on offense, even though it wasn't real, it was garbage time. But as long as DJ Durkin doesn't just purposely sabotage us again on defense, then we'll win this game. I actually can't believe it. It's like a joke that he actually almost knows exactly what the other team's gonna do and does the complete opposite. It's like last year how we were joking that Hugh Freeze called all the plays that he thought wouldn't work. Because how can you do that bad? I could call like cover two man every single time and tell the other team that I'm running cover two man every single time. And somehow someone on my team is going to make a play. But no, everyone's just always in the wrong position every single time, but a lot of third longs. So we need to win this game bad. Let us let us win this game. Thirty five to seventeen. DJ Durkin needs to re redeem himself. And if we don't do that, then we're done, 'cause this is probably the last game we have a chance to win if we don't win this game. Aaron: So this was the second game I spent so much time trying to figure out who I thought wins this. A lot of times I just I I feel a a strong answer. And you know, shoutouts to my wife for putting up, listen to my algorithm, while she played on her phone. And I I sat here and walked her through every single one of their Chandler: There's no no way that you have Vanderbilt winning this game. Aaron: I got to the end Chandler: All in the stream. Aaron: of this. They still let the stream. I got the Chandler: I'll end it here. Aaron: score 34-31. And I couldn't decide who wins. I Ryan: scoring 30 points at us! No! Aaron: I I see this game going 34-31, and I couldn't tell you, I could not come up with the answer of who wins. I think Chandler: We will pick one. Aaron: it give me Vandy then. Gimme Vandy. I think they're riding high. Ryan: They can't thir s they can't score thirty-four points. They can't score thirty four they can't score thirty-four points. They could put Chandler: Thirty-four thirty one Whoa Ryan: me out there and they wouldn't score thirty-four points. Chandler: Whoa, Aaron: I I'm gonna ride that Vandy nearly lost. They had a miracle. This is some divine intervention for them. I know. Chandler: thirty-eight or thirty-four thirty-one. If that happens, Ryan's not coming on the show Sunday night. Ryan: could play quarterback this weekend and beat Vanderbilt. Aaron: I'm not happy with this. I really tried to find a way. I know a little bit. but I really looked at this and I think aubert's in a downward. Chandler: Yes, you are. if this happens, if if if Vanderba wins thirty four thirty one. Ryan: Aaron, if this happens, you probably will never see me ever again. Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: It's a risk I gotta take. Chandler: The a you we're gonna it's gonna be a two man show for the rest the year. Brian's Aaron: Ha ha. Chandler: gone. Okay. Ryan: I don't know where I'll be, not here. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: I have this game I laugh. But I have Vanderbilt putting a lid on this thing. I have them covering. I have them sitting at a nice twenty four points. Ryan: Dude. Chandler: And Auburn scoring thirty one. Ryan: Like, I'll tell you, this this game Aaron: Dude, you're not that far off of what I'm seeing. Ryan: this game should be forty five to seventeen, but we suck really bad. So we're not gonna Aaron: I know. Ryan: score forty five points. Chandler: I hope you win by a million points, but I'm just I'm just rolling the dice here and I think it's gonna be thirty one twenty four. Aaron: I agree with you. Hey, I think there's a chance you guys score 34 points Ryan: Dude. Aaron: and Vandy scores 31 points. I I I I legitimately, I legitimately Chandler: Ha ha ha Ryan: Flip a coin. Flip a coin, Byrum. Aaron: I I wrestled with it for Chandler: Mm. Aaron: all day. And I even wrote here on my little notes you can see it. 34 31. Either way, Bandy went pushed. Chandler: Ha there's arrows. Okay. Aaron: there So yes, that's that is unfortunate. And I don't Chandler: So Aaron: think it'll happen, but it's just I can't let it go. I know, but it it's this one's from the guts, not the brain. Chandler: Yes you do, you just said so. So you do think it's gonna happen. Okay. So we have a lot of bold predictions. We have a lot of hot predictions. We have a lot of predictions that you're probably going to trail because you sim you think on the same wave as us. But regardless, in the comments to this videos Aaron: I hope not. I hope you're functional. Chandler: in in the comment of this video or anywhere you get your podcast, or in the comment of all the shorts that you're gonna see on Thursday and Friday, drop us your score predictions. Drop us how close you think we were. Drop us how think how far away you think we were. Engage, share it with your friends, your dogs, your postmans, your UPS man, your public sub sandwich person. Aaron: dumb all you want. Happens every week. but yeah, and the reviews, be nice to us. Or we cry. Yeah. Chandler: Say some nice things. Ryan: Yeah, we're just messing around. We're just messing around. Chandler: but all jokes aside, thank you guys for all the love and support. It's been great. We've grown so much. It's been a lot of fun to see the progress throughout March to now. We've we've already taken a lot of steps that we didn't think we'd be able to take, and it wouldn't be possible without you guys. So we appreciate it. And tune in Monday for our reaction to how the games went. And before then Aaron: Yeah, me and Chandler will both be there. And there's a chance Ryan won't. Chandler: But until then. Ryan: Bye bye.
