- 0:09Speaker 1: Advice and they were alone. Naughties, Welcome to the Naughty
- 0:17Speaker 1: but Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter. It's Wednesday,
- 0:22Speaker 1: and I'm in a really good mood today, despite the
- 0:24Speaker 1: fact that our dear, dear friend Donnie Meetscham will not
- 0:28Speaker 1: be with us today. But it's a nice reason why
- 0:31Speaker 1: he can't be here. Donnie's moving apartments today, Isn't that lovely?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Donnie's got a fair bulousting apartment in l A and
- 0:38Speaker 1: today was the only day that he could move, So
- 0:41Speaker 1: boo hoo, No Donnie, but we're so excited. Donnie send
- 0:44Speaker 1: us a picture of the new place. He's doing so
- 0:47Speaker 1: well in l A. People that have followed our journey
- 0:51Speaker 1: together over the last few years know that Donnie was
- 0:55Speaker 1: here in New York and then moved out to l
- 0:57Speaker 1: A to get a fancy job in radio, and now
- 1:01Speaker 1: he's doing so well. He's got a new apartment. So
- 1:03Speaker 1: it's all thrilling news. But it does mean that it's
- 1:06Speaker 1: just us today, naughties. But don't worry. We've done it before.
- 1:10Speaker 1: We know how to do this. We've got tons of gossip,
- 1:13Speaker 1: so sit back and let's get to it. What time
- 1:17Speaker 1: is it, my friends? It is tea time big story.
- 1:22Speaker 1: At the top of the show, Megan Markle is making
- 1:24Speaker 1: headlines again by slamming the label Duchess Difficult, saying that
- 1:31Speaker 1: she actually makes a choice to be grounded. It's a fascinating,
- 1:36Speaker 1: fascinating interview that she's doing, and she's really pushing back
- 1:40Speaker 1: over these rumors that started to swirl in about two
- 1:44Speaker 1: thousand and eighteen when she was given the nickname by
- 1:48Speaker 1: the British tabloids Duchess Difficult, because of her behavior like
- 1:55Speaker 1: sending emails at the crack of dawn and even causing
- 1:59Speaker 1: aids to quit. So and Negan turned up in the
- 2:01Speaker 1: Royal family. In the Royal Circles, she worked at a
- 2:04Speaker 1: different pace to most of the other members. She came
- 2:09Speaker 1: in as a Hollywood actress as somebody very very successful
- 2:13Speaker 1: and demanded things to be done a certain way, and
- 2:17Speaker 1: that is what led her to be called difficult. So
- 2:21Speaker 1: in the latest episode of her podcast called Quote Appending
- 2:27Speaker 1: the Angry Black Woman Myth, the Duchess discusses the need
- 2:33Speaker 1: for her personally to set boundaries. Now, Miss Dea has
- 2:37Speaker 1: taught us a great deal about this myth that there's
- 2:40Speaker 1: angry black women out there, and whenever somebody a woman
- 2:44Speaker 1: of color, he's assertive, says what they want, they are
- 2:49Speaker 1: treated in a very different way than somebody like Mia,
- 2:52Speaker 1: a white man. So it is an interesting concept. The
- 2:56Speaker 1: Duchess says the following quote, You're allowed to set boundary,
- 3:01Speaker 1: You're allowed to be clear. That does not make you demanding,
- 3:06Speaker 1: that does not make you difficult. It makes you clear.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Isn't that interesting? So let's unpack that and go over
- 3:13Speaker 1: it again. What she's saying here is you are allowed
- 3:15Speaker 1: to set your boundaries and you are allowed to be
- 3:17Speaker 1: clear about what you want. I like that. So as
- 3:20Speaker 1: well as being a fabulous gossip columnist, I'm also a
- 3:23Speaker 1: self help author and this is something we talk about
- 3:26Speaker 1: a lot, setting boundaries and being clear. If you don't
- 3:30Speaker 1: want to do something, say no. If you do want
- 3:32Speaker 1: to do something, say yes. How many times do we
- 3:35Speaker 1: sort of sit in the middle. I have friends that
- 3:37Speaker 1: invite me out for drinks or colleagues, and sometimes I
- 3:40Speaker 1: just don't want to go. I want to go home.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I want to sit on the couch. I want to
- 3:44Speaker 1: watch House with Dragons, and I'm quite clear, I'm like
- 3:47Speaker 1: yes no. Old Rob used to always be well, maybe
- 3:51Speaker 1: sort of let's figure it out later. Now I'm clear,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and life is actually much much, much easier. So she's
- 3:58Speaker 1: saying that, and she's saying, if you do that, if
- 4:00Speaker 1: you said a boundary, say what is acceptable and what
- 4:02Speaker 1: is unacceptable to you, that does not make you demanding. No, no, no,
- 4:06Speaker 1: and it does not make you difficult at all. What
- 4:09Speaker 1: it makes you is clear. The Duchess said that she
- 4:12Speaker 1: makes a choice to be grounded because things are going
- 4:15Speaker 1: to be said no matter what you do. Certainly in
- 4:18Speaker 1: her case, things are going to be said. She said
- 4:20Speaker 1: that she was watching a Katangi Brown Jackson, the first
- 4:24Speaker 1: black woman to serve on the Supreme Court, be sworn
- 4:27Speaker 1: into the bench, remembering how the judge showed restraint at
- 4:32Speaker 1: her hearing. She certainly did, and she said, you do
- 4:35Speaker 1: make a choice to be as grounded as possible because
- 4:40Speaker 1: of all the things that are going to be said
- 4:42Speaker 1: no matter what you do. So I think she's making
- 4:45Speaker 1: really valid points here. Often making gets people very angry
- 4:48Speaker 1: on this podshat cast in general, not just on the show,
- 4:52Speaker 1: But I think here she's making a really really valid point.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Maybe if she had been a man, we wouldn't have
- 4:59Speaker 1: been talking about her like this, and dare I say,
- 5:02Speaker 1: maybe I want to hear what you think here. If
- 5:05Speaker 1: she wasn't a woman of color, maybe we wouldn't have
- 5:07Speaker 1: been talking about her in the way we do, which
- 5:10Speaker 1: brings us to our whole question of the day, because
- 5:12Speaker 1: what you think is the most important thing on this show.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Megan Marcos slams the duchess difficult label, saying I have
- 5:20Speaker 1: made a choice to be grounded. This is a choice.
- 5:24Speaker 1: This isn't an accident, This isn't something that just happened
- 5:27Speaker 1: when she joined the family. She decided I'm going to
- 5:31Speaker 1: be grounded. I'm gonna make a choice. Doesn't make me difficult,
- 5:35Speaker 1: doesn't make me demanding. It makes me clear. Isn't that interesting.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I've worked for a lot of really really famous, successful people,
- 5:43Speaker 1: j Lo, Diddy, bon Jovi, you know them. All the
- 5:46Speaker 1: ones that I enjoyed the most were the ones that
- 5:49Speaker 1: were the most clear. Jennifer Lopez is clear. She says yes,
- 5:53Speaker 1: she says no. They are the only two answers. Any
- 5:55Speaker 1: other answer is a terrible answer. Yes and no are
- 6:00Speaker 1: the two answers, And that is who Megan is. Do
- 6:02Speaker 1: you think she's right? Do you think she's right? Here.
- 6:05Speaker 1: She's not difficult, she is clear. Oh. I can't wait
- 6:10Speaker 1: to see your results, so don't forget to vote. Go
- 6:15Speaker 1: to our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob or facebook
- 6:18Speaker 1: page and Aughty Gossip and be sure to check back tomorrow.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Oh it's a heavy topic today, isn't it. I can't
- 6:23Speaker 1: wait to see what your answer is. Hey, Moving along,
- 6:27Speaker 1: James Cordon is finally admitting that he was wrong over
- 6:31Speaker 1: the restaurant du Bacle. So days after insisting that he
- 6:36Speaker 1: hadn't done anything wrong, anything wrong on quote any level,
- 6:40Speaker 1: Cord and finally addressed the restaurant drama. And he was
- 6:44Speaker 1: sort of meekily shamefully admitting that he deeply regretted being
- 6:49Speaker 1: so rude to the restaurant's staff. He said the following,
- 6:54Speaker 1: when you make a mistake, you've got to take responsibility.
- 6:59Speaker 1: And so did finally finally take responsibility. He had been
- 7:04Speaker 1: dubbed the most abusive customer in this restaurant it's called
- 7:08Speaker 1: Belfazar in New York City in its history. So his behavior,
- 7:12Speaker 1: he said, was rude, wrong and gracious. And he said
- 7:16Speaker 1: it was his father who was sitting in the audience
- 7:19Speaker 1: with his mother. So Malcolm and Margaret, Hello, hellower Low.
- 7:22Speaker 1: They were in the audience, and James said it was
- 7:25Speaker 1: his dad who told him he needed to face up
- 7:28Speaker 1: and stand up to all this criticism and admit he
- 7:32Speaker 1: was wrong. So if you don't know this story, what
- 7:35Speaker 1: happened is he was at a restaurant Belfas Are on
- 7:38Speaker 1: Spring Street here in New York. If you come to visit,
- 7:41Speaker 1: go and see it. He said, it's one of his
- 7:43Speaker 1: favorite restaurants. He said, I genuinely love it there. If
- 7:46Speaker 1: I lived in New York, I would go every single
- 7:49Speaker 1: day if they would let me in. So he's still
- 7:51Speaker 1: been a bit of a comedian here, I get it.
- 7:53Speaker 1: So during a meal with his wife, they brought the
- 7:56Speaker 1: wrong order, and she does have serious food allergies, so
- 7:59Speaker 1: we should point that out too, because that's quite serious.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And ultimately he started to get really disrespectful and made
- 8:06Speaker 1: a rude comment about cooking it himself. He said, I deeply,
- 8:12Speaker 1: deeply regret that, and insisted that he does have such
- 8:16Speaker 1: respect for wait staff, although not on that day. He
- 8:19Speaker 1: went on to say, the team at the restaurant was
- 8:21Speaker 1: so great and that's another reason why I love it there. Now,
- 8:26Speaker 1: he wanted to make clear that he did not shout
- 8:28Speaker 1: to scream or call names or use horrible language. But
- 8:32Speaker 1: he did do something wrong. So sometimes you don't think
- 8:36Speaker 1: you're a problem if you're not screaming and shouting. But
- 8:38Speaker 1: he said, you know, I was rude. I was rude.
- 8:41Speaker 1: This is his quote. But the truth is I made
- 8:45Speaker 1: a rude comment and it was wrong. It was an
- 8:48Speaker 1: unnecessary comment, and it was ungracious to the server. I
- 8:54Speaker 1: love that James is doing this. I hate that he
- 8:57Speaker 1: was rude. But we've all had her off days, haven't we, here,
- 9:00Speaker 1: And so I can't judge somebody on the worst moments
- 9:04Speaker 1: of their life. I can't, and I shouldn't judge myself
- 9:07Speaker 1: and my worst moments. Even stop beating yourself up over
- 9:11Speaker 1: those moments when you were not your best. So we're
- 9:14Speaker 1: gonna forgive you, James, but I've got to say this
- 9:17Speaker 1: cannot happen again. Now we've heard a lot of rumors,
- 9:20Speaker 1: haven't we, that James actually just it is not that nice,
- 9:24Speaker 1: and that's what's making this story stick. So I love
- 9:27Speaker 1: the apology, and it's a full apology, a few days
- 9:30Speaker 1: too late in my opinion, but nevertheless, it happened. But
- 9:34Speaker 1: what James's problem is is. There's lots of other rumors
- 9:38Speaker 1: out there, said James, you need to suck it up
- 9:41Speaker 1: and be a good man and listen. Listen to this apology, James,
- 9:44Speaker 1: listen yourself and make sure it doesn't happen again. Okay,
- 9:49Speaker 1: this story is wild. So Cathy Hilton is claiming she
- 9:53Speaker 1: will not return to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
- 9:57Speaker 1: if the show keeps two bullies. Doesn't say their names,
- 10:01Speaker 1: but we know who she is talking about. It's Lisa
- 10:04Speaker 1: Redda and Erica Jane. She does not like either one
- 10:07Speaker 1: of those ladies, and they don't like her either. So
- 10:09Speaker 1: the Real Housewife franchise is based on people really manufactory
- 10:15Speaker 1: and manipulating narratives to suit their purpose. And Cathie Hilton,
- 10:20Speaker 1: who let me point out, is not even a cast member,
- 10:23Speaker 1: but she pops up on the show. She's not a
- 10:24Speaker 1: regular cast member, she's a friend of the housewives. So
- 10:27Speaker 1: she said she does not want to return if these
- 10:31Speaker 1: two ladies come back. She doesn't want to be back
- 10:35Speaker 1: on camera. She won't do it, even though her house
- 10:38Speaker 1: is full of cameras. She's sick of all of it,
- 10:42Speaker 1: so she doesn't want to engage anymore. But she did
- 10:45Speaker 1: manage to find TMZ look at that. So she found
- 10:49Speaker 1: TMC and told them she absolutely would not return to
- 10:53Speaker 1: the show she's been on the last three seasons if
- 10:56Speaker 1: the cast was completely the same. She explained, quote, there
- 10:59Speaker 1: are who bullies that intimidate a lot of the other girls.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Noticed she's now doing this for the other girls, not
- 11:06Speaker 1: for herself, and so that is what she's said. She
- 11:10Speaker 1: called them bullies. Lisa and Erica have been quite quite brutal,
- 11:16Speaker 1: saying that Kathy used the gay slur, lots of other
- 11:21Speaker 1: stuff they're saying. Kathy is absolutely denying all this and
- 11:26Speaker 1: even apologized on the show to Lisa. Has changed her
- 11:30Speaker 1: mind now said that she wished she hadn't apologized to
- 11:33Speaker 1: what do you think here? She'll be back. She'll be back.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Don't you think she'll be back? And brother, we're not
- 11:38Speaker 1: going to pick Kathy over Lisa and Erica. They're not
- 11:42Speaker 1: going to lose too. Maybe if it was one on one,
- 11:45Speaker 1: maybe Kathy would have a chance, but Lisa and Erica
- 11:48Speaker 1: are dominating this show. And let me remind you one
- 11:51Speaker 1: more time, we're not talking about Little House on the Prairie.
- 11:54Speaker 1: We're talking about the Real house Wives. We're bad behavior
- 11:58Speaker 1: is rewarded. Now, I'm not saying Lisa and Erica have
- 12:01Speaker 1: been good girls. I'm not I'm not saying that. But
- 12:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying is they understand reality TV and this
- 12:07Speaker 1: is what the show is of Kathy. If you don't
- 12:10Speaker 1: want to be on a show that's full of drama
- 12:13Speaker 1: and screaming and people be manipulative, then you probably should
- 12:17Speaker 1: quit yourself, because that's what the whole basis of the
- 12:22Speaker 1: Real Housewives is all about. Hey, we have more news
- 12:26Speaker 1: now on Matthew Perry. This book it is I'm reading
- 12:30Speaker 1: it right now. There is so much, so much in
- 12:33Speaker 1: this book. So he told People magazine that several of
- 12:37Speaker 1: his relationships have failed because women who dated him were
- 12:42Speaker 1: only interested in his money. He's revealing the challenges of
- 12:48Speaker 1: trying to find true love when you're filthy rich. Isn't
- 12:52Speaker 1: this really interesting and something we've got to admit we
- 12:55Speaker 1: all do sometimes think about When I see a couples
- 12:58Speaker 1: out and I know that one is really really rich,
- 13:01Speaker 1: filthy rich, I love that word, and the other not
- 13:04Speaker 1: quite so I do sometimes I do sometimes wonder. So
- 13:08Speaker 1: he said, the next person that he finds he's dating
- 13:12Speaker 1: somebody at the moment and it's happy. But he said
- 13:14Speaker 1: when he was single, he said to himself, the next
- 13:17Speaker 1: person I find has to love me. They have to
- 13:20Speaker 1: love me, not just my money. So one of his
- 13:23Speaker 1: criterias is he would only date people who were financially
- 13:27Speaker 1: okay themselves. They didn't have to be as rich as him,
- 13:30Speaker 1: but they had to be self supporting. And he said
- 13:32Speaker 1: once he started to do that, things got really real
- 13:36Speaker 1: better for him in the dating world. At least, he
- 13:38Speaker 1: said it was a deal breaker because he used to
- 13:41Speaker 1: look around and say, are they here just for the money?
- 13:44Speaker 1: And several times he had to admit, yes they were,
- 13:49Speaker 1: which is not a fun thing to admit to yourself
- 13:52Speaker 1: or anybody else. Have you ever dated somebody because they're rich?
- 13:56Speaker 1: Has somebody ever dated you because you're rich? Brucess a
- 14:00Speaker 1: lot more money than I do. So when we first
- 14:01Speaker 1: got together, I had nothing, and so I think a
- 14:04Speaker 1: lot of people at first were suspicious. So let's put
- 14:06Speaker 1: it like that, we're a little bit suspicious, But after
- 14:08Speaker 1: twenty years I've been come on, now, I think the
- 14:11Speaker 1: answer is fine, which is, yes, I did marry him. No,
- 14:13Speaker 1: I'm joking. The answer is we're very, very much in love.
- 14:18Speaker 1: But what do you think when you see somebody in
- 14:20Speaker 1: no veryly rich? It's tricky, isn't it? You never think
- 14:25Speaker 1: about that? Do you think money is the solution to everything?
- 14:28Speaker 1: Matthew Harris said, it can be a real challenge when
- 14:31Speaker 1: you're looking for true love. This story is awful. Before
- 14:34Speaker 1: we get a break and Haitias X is claiming that
- 14:37Speaker 1: her son Homer is treating his half brother in a
- 14:42Speaker 1: hostile manner since her death. So Anne's ex, James Tupper,
- 14:47Speaker 1: is pushing back against her oldest son Homer and made
- 14:51Speaker 1: all this legal trouble over her will over her estate.
- 14:54Speaker 1: In new court documents that I've seen, Tupper has objected
- 14:59Speaker 1: to Homer's latest request to the court to expand his
- 15:04Speaker 1: authority over his mother's a state, citing poor treatment of
- 15:10Speaker 1: his brother Atlas. So it looks like the two brothers
- 15:14Speaker 1: are really fighting now over money over a state. Her
- 15:19Speaker 1: ex is involved in it. This is just so ugly.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Everybody make a will, make a will. It's your decision,
- 15:25Speaker 1: not anybody else. Is not your kids, not your partners.
- 15:29Speaker 1: It's your decision. Where all your money, where your state goes. Hey,
- 15:33Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:34Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome BAEd to the naughty but nice
- 15:40Speaker 1: rub shoot her. Hey, it's just us today, naughties. I
- 15:42Speaker 1: think we're doing great. How do you think Donnie's moves going.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I think he's probably very calm. Donnie doesn't get excited
- 15:49Speaker 1: or angry or frustrated. I think he's very very calm.
- 15:52Speaker 1: And he doesn't have a lot of stuff. Donnie would
- 15:54Speaker 1: tell you this. He's like a nomad. He has a suitcase.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I don't know if he even has pots or pans.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I think he has a couple of pair of skinny jeans,
- 16:01Speaker 1: a bottle of vodka. I know, I know. It's probably
- 16:03Speaker 1: a simple move. Hey, Donny, if you're listening, you're lower
- 16:05Speaker 1: lower low. Hey let's get to the polls. Did you
- 16:09Speaker 1: sing along? Thank you very much. Lash Show, we talked
- 16:12Speaker 1: about fans thinking Kim Kardashian received a very telling birthday
- 16:17Speaker 1: gift from Pete Davidson. Are they back together? Let's have
- 16:20Speaker 1: a look. You said, yes, something's going on. Said no,
- 16:26Speaker 1: I'm going to actually straddle the boundary here because my
- 16:28Speaker 1: sources tell me they are still hooking up. They're not
- 16:32Speaker 1: a couple, they are seen each other. Do you call
- 16:35Speaker 1: it the booty call. I think that's what it's called,
- 16:37Speaker 1: a booty call. Wor Kim has a great booty. So
- 16:40Speaker 1: I'm hearing that they do still see each other although
- 16:44Speaker 1: they're not yet a couple. Don't forget to vote on
- 16:48Speaker 1: today's pole. Go to our Twitter page at Naughty Nice
- 16:51Speaker 1: Rob or our Facebook page. I'm be sure to check
- 16:55Speaker 1: back to morrow to hear your results. And now it's
- 16:58Speaker 1: time for a nice cist of the day and so
- 17:03Speaker 1: one in. In one of his last Instagram posts, Leslie
- 17:07Speaker 1: Jordans revealed that he had just purchased his first condo.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Sir Leslie passed away a few days ago. He was
- 17:14Speaker 1: just sixty seven. I knew him a little bit when
- 17:16Speaker 1: he was in New York. We would hang out. Oh
- 17:19Speaker 1: he was so devilishly naughty and funny. He told me
- 17:22Speaker 1: once that Angelina Jolie's ex Billy Bob has the biggest
- 17:26Speaker 1: penis in Hollywood. I know. He would just tell me
- 17:29Speaker 1: outrageous stories. He knew everything about Hollywood. I adored him.
- 17:33Speaker 1: But what makes me happy, and the reason this is
- 17:35Speaker 1: the nicest story of the day is he worked really
- 17:38Speaker 1: hard to be accepted in Hollywood, and he worked really
- 17:40Speaker 1: hard to make a living, and it wasn't until Will
- 17:42Speaker 1: and Grace and then really the pandemic. When he wrote books,
- 17:46Speaker 1: he became an Instagram star that he was able to
- 17:50Speaker 1: afford his own apartment. So in his late sixties he
- 17:54Speaker 1: finally bought his first apartment. He did a little video
- 17:58Speaker 1: where he sang that fabulous song, the theme song to
- 18:01Speaker 1: the Jeffersons, I'm moving on up to the east Side,
- 18:04Speaker 1: you know it. And so he was thrilled about this apartment.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Friends of his tell me that this was such joy
- 18:11Speaker 1: for him, and I'm so happy he managed to do it.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Before he passed, he knew he had made it. And
- 18:19Speaker 1: now if he's looking down, and I'm sure he is,
- 18:22Speaker 1: he'll be thrilled to know three of his books are
- 18:24Speaker 1: on the Top hundred list. And nicest the other day,
- 18:28Speaker 1: and now I'm naughtiest of the day, nor naughty. Bridget
- 18:31Speaker 1: moynihan is posting about relationships ending amid Tom Brady and
- 18:35Speaker 1: Giselle's marriage drama. So, Bridget moynihan, you still live in
