- 0:02Speaker 1: Life Audio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Hey Ainsley, thanks for joining me.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Hey Michael, thank you for having me.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Angeley Earhart, co host of Fox News Channel Spots at Friends,
- 0:11Speaker 2: and hosts of Fox Nations, Ainsley's Bible Study, and the
- 0:15Speaker 2: author of the new book America I'm So Glad You
- 0:18Speaker 2: Were Born, illustrated of course by Cambarnes Releases Junior Second
- 0:21Speaker 2: Thories under Kids. It's a picture book that celebrates America. Ainsley.
- 0:24Speaker 2: This is not your first children's book. I've enjoyed others
- 0:27Speaker 2: as well. What inspired you to write this book, America
- 0:30Speaker 2: I'm So Glad You were born? And why does this
- 0:31Speaker 2: message resonate so strongly right now in the nation.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Well, it resonates now because we're about to embark on
- 0:38Speaker 1: America two fifty our birthday, our anniversary. So we're a
- 0:42Speaker 1: young nation two hundred and fifty years ago, just a
- 0:45Speaker 1: few generations back, our founding fathers were writing the Declaration
- 0:49Speaker 1: of Independence in the Constitution and informing America and fighting
- 0:52Speaker 1: for America. So we want to teach our children about
- 0:56Speaker 1: our values, our core mission, what their mission was. We
- 0:59Speaker 1: want to live by their standards, and this is an
- 1:02Speaker 1: opportunity for us to share that with children and teach
- 1:06Speaker 1: them all about America and what freedom really means. And
- 1:09Speaker 1: the book was inspired because my third children's book was
- 1:12Speaker 1: called I'm so Glad you were born. It's something my
- 1:15Speaker 1: mom used to say to us on our birthdays, and
- 1:17Speaker 1: I no longer have my mom here, and that came
- 1:19Speaker 1: out when right before she was dying. So it ended
- 1:23Speaker 1: up being being really sweet and very special, and it
- 1:26Speaker 1: was successful, and a lot of people love to say
- 1:29Speaker 1: that to their children now, which makes me thrilled. Look
- 1:32Speaker 1: at my mother's words are living on in the lives
- 1:34Speaker 1: of other people. And a birthday is very important, you know,
- 1:37Speaker 1: Jesus's birthday was important. All of our birthdays are important
- 1:40Speaker 1: because we were created in His image and we have
- 1:43Speaker 1: God has a big plan for our lives. And my
- 1:46Speaker 1: daughter God blessed me so much the day that she
- 1:49Speaker 1: was born, and so on her birthday I always tell her,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm so glad you were born. In fact, go I
- 1:52Speaker 1: tell her that all the time. But then when we
- 1:55Speaker 1: were talking about ways to celebrate America two fifty, I thought,
- 1:59Speaker 1: what a great way to tell children, we are so
- 2:02Speaker 1: glad America was born. So it's called America, I'm so
- 2:06Speaker 1: glad you were born. Some of the themes are still
- 2:09Speaker 1: in this new book, like bang the drums loudly and
- 2:12Speaker 1: blow the brass horn and scream I'm so glad you
- 2:16Speaker 1: were born, those kinds of things. But it's children and
- 2:18Speaker 1: a parade, and they have their instruments because we used
- 2:21Speaker 1: to have dance parties in my apartment with my daughter.
- 2:24Speaker 1: We had a big bucket tupperware of all those you know,
- 2:28Speaker 1: the tambourines and the drums and all the things that
- 2:31Speaker 1: the little children love to play with and the symbols,
- 2:33Speaker 1: and we would run around our apartment playing music and
- 2:36Speaker 1: having a dance party, and so we wanted to incorporate
- 2:39Speaker 1: that in the first book. So that's incorporated in this
- 2:41Speaker 1: book as well. And the little Girl, the little girls
- 2:44Speaker 1: and the little boys in the book are on the
- 2:47Speaker 1: floats and on the parades, and they're because we have
- 2:49Speaker 1: memories of doing that when we were little. For Fourth
- 2:51Speaker 1: of July at the beach or this one street in
- 2:54Speaker 1: South Carolina and Spartanburg. I have great memories of decorating
- 2:58Speaker 1: the floats and the cars and at the beach, they
- 3:02Speaker 1: everyone gets in the back of pickup trucks. The kids
- 3:04Speaker 1: do and they have super soaker guns and everyone lines
- 3:07Speaker 1: the streets and then the kids are in the back
- 3:08Speaker 1: of the trucks and they shoot all the adults that
- 3:10Speaker 1: are sitting in their beach chairs along the side of
- 3:14Speaker 1: the street. That happens at a little beach in South Carolina.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That's always fun. It's just the blast for the adults too,
- 3:21Speaker 1: because it's just cute to see the little kids get
- 3:23Speaker 1: so excited. So that's incorporated in the book. The Stars
- 3:26Speaker 1: and the Stripes and banging the drums and Land of
- 3:29Speaker 1: the Free and Home of the Brave. Their message is
- 3:32Speaker 1: about the military and messages of voting, how important it
- 3:36Speaker 1: is to vote and have that voice, and to live
- 3:39Speaker 1: in a republic. And we don't live under a king.
- 3:41Speaker 1: We had to kick the king out and we no
- 3:43Speaker 1: longer wanted to be under the king's rule. And so
- 3:47Speaker 1: thanks to George Washington and the Continental Army, we are
- 3:50Speaker 1: a free nation. Anything can is possible, and all your
- 3:54Speaker 1: dreams can come true here.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Like you said, it tackles a lot of issues in
- 3:58Speaker 2: just a few pages. It emphasizes equality, celebrates freedom of speech,
- 4:01Speaker 2: freedom of worship. It also has this line I think
- 4:04Speaker 2: is really good. Not everyone has to agree all the time,
- 4:07Speaker 2: So share your ideas and I will share mine. Why
- 4:11Speaker 2: was that important to include the ability to disagree without
- 4:14Speaker 2: you know, being enemies.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Well, I'm raising my daughter in New York City and
- 4:17Speaker 1: I'm the conservative. So that's the line that's important in
- 4:21Speaker 1: this house because we love all of the children, and
- 4:23Speaker 1: we love all of their parents, and many of their
- 4:24Speaker 1: parents might disagree with me politically. But one of my
- 4:28Speaker 1: closest friends at my daughter's school, her daughter's one of
- 4:30Speaker 1: my daughter's best friends and her closest friends, and the
- 4:34Speaker 1: mom and I disagree, and she always laughs and she says,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you know, I never watched Fox News. I watched it
- 4:39Speaker 1: this morning, and I did agree with this. I didn't
- 4:41Speaker 1: agree with that, but she I remember introducing her my
- 4:45Speaker 1: fiances Sean Hannity, who comes on at night and he
- 4:47Speaker 1: is very, very vocal about being a conservative. And she
- 4:51Speaker 1: met him and she said, I tell all of my
- 4:53Speaker 1: liberal friends, he's so nice. Can you believe him? No?
- 4:56Speaker 2: Night.
- 4:57Speaker 1: So I think the message there is we do we
- 5:00Speaker 1: are unified under the red, white and blue, under the
- 5:02Speaker 1: stars and stripes, and we are unified in this country
- 5:05Speaker 1: it's called the United States of America. So we have
- 5:09Speaker 1: much more in common than we don't, and we need
- 5:11Speaker 1: to learn to get to a point in our country
- 5:13Speaker 1: where we are united and we understand each other's gifts
- 5:16Speaker 1: and talents, and we could think differently, but that is
- 5:19Speaker 1: ultimately what makes America great.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Amen of that, amen of that, it also celebrates the
- 5:23Speaker 2: beauty of the country. It's spylights, inventions and opportunities, celebrates soldiers,
- 5:27Speaker 2: law enforcement. You said that it also celebrates the diversity
- 5:30Speaker 2: of the people. I think that's really good. And of
- 5:31Speaker 2: course you live in New York City. You live in
- 5:33Speaker 2: a very diverse city. It emphasizes that Americans are of
- 5:36Speaker 2: every color and creed. Why was that important? I think
- 5:40Speaker 2: probably it's similar to the other answer you gave me.
- 5:42Speaker 2: But why was that important to celebrate the diversity in
- 5:44Speaker 2: this children's books?
- 5:45Speaker 1: Because we're all God's children. And I teach my daughter
- 5:47Speaker 1: that she's never heard me single anyone out because of
- 5:50Speaker 1: the color of their skin ever, And I mean, I
- 5:53Speaker 1: never make a comment about that. I want her to
- 5:55Speaker 1: see everybody equally, and I don't even want that to
- 5:58Speaker 1: be a big deal. Now there are his street lessons
- 6:00Speaker 1: there that I will teach her and we will talk
- 6:03Speaker 1: about that. And with we've already talked about the idea
- 6:07Speaker 1: we couldn't believe that people actually end slaves, and that
- 6:10Speaker 1: they didn't believe that we were equal. But we are,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and everyone was created by God, and that's something that's
- 6:15Speaker 1: taught in my home. But I think the astronauts. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: remember when the artem is two astronauts, when they were
- 6:22Speaker 1: interviewed and what they said. I think, to the female,
- 6:26Speaker 1: what was it like to be the first female to
- 6:28Speaker 1: go farther than anyone else? What was it like to
- 6:30Speaker 1: be the first African American to go farther than anyone else?
- 6:33Speaker 1: And he said, obviously it's groundbreaking, and obviously I'm so
- 6:36Speaker 1: blessed and thankful to be a part of this. But
- 6:39Speaker 1: I can't wait for our country to get to a
- 6:40Speaker 1: point where that's not even a question, where it's just
- 6:43Speaker 1: you're a human being, and you're an American who went
- 6:45Speaker 1: farther than anybody else. And that's what my generation longs for.
- 6:49Speaker 1: That's definitely what the younger generation longs for. I'm a
- 6:52Speaker 1: New Yorker. I have friends of all colors, you know,
- 6:56Speaker 1: everyone all different socioeconomic backgrounds, and that's just America. Anything
- 7:02Speaker 1: is possible, Anything is possible if you work really hard,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and those astronauts are some of the smartest in their class.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Their dad moms are so proud of them, and they
- 7:10Speaker 1: are Americans. And look what they've done for America. You know,
- 7:13Speaker 1: we're winning the space race against China and they did
- 7:16Speaker 1: that for us.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And that's the did a good job picking pod great astronauts.
- 7:19Speaker 2: How badly but inspired. Victor Glover's one of the people
- 7:21Speaker 2: you're talking about. He's so inspiring. You've created a book,
- 7:24Speaker 2: of course, that appeals to both kids and adults.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yea.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I can imagine many, you know a parents reading this
- 7:29Speaker 2: book and learning something as they're reading it. What do
- 7:31Speaker 2: you hope families take away while they're reading this threat
- 7:33Speaker 2: while reading this book.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Angsley, I hope that they are able to read the
- 7:37Speaker 1: book with their children and realize all the positive aspects
- 7:41Speaker 1: of living in this great nation, and that the children
- 7:44Speaker 1: walk away feeling very happy and pleased and blessed and
- 7:47Speaker 1: grateful to be here in America, and just a reminder
- 7:50Speaker 1: that we all need to go back to that childlike
- 7:52Speaker 1: faith with you know, Jesus even talks about how special
- 7:56Speaker 1: and precious the children are because they have that child
- 7:58Speaker 1: like faith and to read a book with your child,
- 8:00Speaker 1: there's nothing better. It's you're transported into a different land
- 8:06Speaker 1: and their imaginations run wild. And open up all the
- 8:08Speaker 1: pictures and sit on each picture for a little bit
- 8:11Speaker 1: and let them point out what they love and which
- 8:13Speaker 1: child in the pages that they can relate to, because
- 8:16Speaker 1: there are children of all walks of life on every
- 8:18Speaker 1: single page. And we did that so that we could
- 8:21Speaker 1: so that every child, as a child, you're attracted to
- 8:24Speaker 1: the child that you can relate to. And so like
- 8:26Speaker 1: my daughter picked outfits for the one her character that
- 8:29Speaker 1: looks more like her, and she helped with the drawings
- 8:32Speaker 1: and helped just with color. She wanted it. She wanted
- 8:36Speaker 1: this book for the little girl to grow all older.
- 8:39Speaker 1: She said, Mamma, I wouldn't wear that outfit that I
- 8:41Speaker 1: wore in the first book. I wouldn't wear that in
- 8:42Speaker 1: the second. I'd be like, you know, change it a
- 8:45Speaker 1: little bit for her. But I just hope that it
- 8:48Speaker 1: brings families together, appreciation for country, appreciation for faith, and
- 8:54Speaker 1: that everyone walks away with a smile and at the
- 8:57Speaker 1: end of the book that they scream, America, I'm so
- 8:59Speaker 1: glad you were born.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yeah. I think this is a book that anybody, anybody
- 9:02Speaker 2: that left or I can read this book and appreciate it.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I don't think there's anything you knoweolo ideological about this book.
- 9:09Speaker 2: That's one thing I want to say. The book celebrates faith,
- 9:11Speaker 2: freedom of worship. Of course, you've been opened about your
- 9:13Speaker 2: own faith, Ainsley, When did your own personal faith become
- 9:16Speaker 2: real to you?
- 9:27Speaker 1: We always grew up in church, and we went to
- 9:29Speaker 1: a formal Episcopal church, and then we moved. We went
- 9:32Speaker 1: to a Lutheran church, the church my father grew up in,
- 9:35Speaker 1: and every Sunday we had to be in church, even
- 9:37Speaker 1: if we spent the night out. Mom and Dad would
- 9:39Speaker 1: pick us up on Sunday morning on the way to church,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and my friends would come with me or either I
- 9:43Speaker 1: had to go with them, so we were always in church.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I'm grateful to my parents for laying that foundation. But
- 9:48Speaker 1: then when I went to college, I started going to
- 9:50Speaker 1: a Baptist church because fifty percent of my sorority, they
- 9:53Speaker 1: were really strong Christians. They would invite me to the
- 9:55Speaker 1: Bible study and there was free pizza, so that didn't hurt.
- 9:59Speaker 1: But I also did all always loved the Lord and
- 10:01Speaker 1: had a place for him in my heart. But I
- 10:03Speaker 1: think I put him in a certain box, and I
- 10:05Speaker 1: would pull him out when I needed him and put
- 10:06Speaker 1: him back in, And you know, that was kind of
- 10:09Speaker 1: the way. I always loved the Lord and was very faithful,
- 10:13Speaker 1: but I wasn't always living the way I needed to live.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I was, you know, going out and drinking a lot
- 10:17Speaker 1: and living up, you know, like most college students do.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And I got so sick of it. And then I
- 10:22Speaker 1: watched my friends who weren't doing that. And there was
- 10:26Speaker 1: a really cute guy in my class and we used
- 10:28Speaker 1: to study together, and he wasn't doing that. His life
- 10:31Speaker 1: had changed. He used to be really wild and a
- 10:33Speaker 1: big partier, and his life changed, and so I wanted
- 10:37Speaker 1: to be like them. And I started going to church
- 10:39Speaker 1: and Bible studies and learning more about the Bible and
- 10:42Speaker 1: reading the Bible, and they were all so knowledgeable, and
- 10:45Speaker 1: I wanted more and more of it. And they took
- 10:47Speaker 1: me to a church that had praise and worship music,
- 10:49Speaker 1: and I was like, this is awesome, this is like
- 10:51Speaker 1: a concert. I've never been to a church like this,
- 10:54Speaker 1: or maybe I had with my friend Lindsay. She went
- 10:56Speaker 1: to a Baptist church. But I wasn't open to it.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I would kind of make fun of it a little bit,
- 11:01Speaker 1: which is horrible to say, but I always thought heymns
- 11:03Speaker 1: were the proper way to worship. And then in college
- 11:08Speaker 1: my life changed. In my mom, I remember her, she
- 11:11Speaker 1: was like, you know this church is is this a cult?
- 11:13Speaker 1: Is this? I said, no, Mom, this is just how
- 11:16Speaker 1: God's feeding me. He feeds you with hems and you
- 11:19Speaker 1: feel so close to Him and and that's how you're fed.
- 11:23Speaker 1: But I'm fed in this church. And so now i
- 11:26Speaker 1: go to an Episcopal church. Sometimes I'll go to a
- 11:29Speaker 1: Methodist church. I'll go to a non denominational church. I
- 11:32Speaker 1: love a contemporary service. My fiance and I go to
- 11:35Speaker 1: an Episcopal church most Sundays. But we also love to
- 11:39Speaker 1: watch concerts Michael W. Smith. We love to watch because
- 11:42Speaker 1: we've become friends with him over the years and he's
- 11:44Speaker 1: just phenomenal and his concerts are with ccwine and are
- 11:48Speaker 1: so special to us. And that's just my story. It's
- 11:52Speaker 1: it's been great. I don't regret it. I live for
- 11:54Speaker 1: the Lord. I know that God's put me in this
- 11:56Speaker 1: position at Fox because I'm I'm not afraid to talk
- 11:59Speaker 1: about my and I'm bold and I give all the
- 12:02Speaker 1: glory to God.
- 12:03Speaker 2: How do you stay grounded spiritually while working in this,
- 12:06Speaker 2: you know, fast paced, high profile environment. Is that difficult
- 12:10Speaker 2: or have you found it easy?
- 12:12Speaker 1: You know? I live in a neighborhood where there are
- 12:16Speaker 1: a lot of My daughter goes to school with a
- 12:18Speaker 1: lot of like minded people. I work at Fox News.
- 12:22Speaker 1: A lot of my friends at Fox are conservative, and
- 12:24Speaker 1: we're raising our children the same way. All of my friends,
- 12:27Speaker 1: my daughter's friends, parents who I'm really close with, we're
- 12:32Speaker 1: all raising our kids the same way. We all go
- 12:34Speaker 1: to church on Sundays. For the most part. I have
- 12:37Speaker 1: an amazing Bible study of women from all over the
- 12:41Speaker 1: upper part of the city where I live, and we
- 12:44Speaker 1: have children of all different ages. So that's nice because
- 12:48Speaker 1: we're not there to necessarily talk about what this teacher
- 12:51Speaker 1: said at school, or the amount of homework they're getting,
- 12:53Speaker 1: or that this test or whatever. We're really there to
- 12:56Speaker 1: talk about the Lord, to read scripture, to unpack scripture,
- 12:59Speaker 1: and to pray. We go around the room and we
- 13:00Speaker 1: pray for each other and ask for prayer requests. We
- 13:03Speaker 1: pray for them throughout the week, and we say a
- 13:05Speaker 1: big prayer at the end, and we'll each take a
- 13:07Speaker 1: person and we pray for that person, and we're constantly
- 13:10Speaker 1: texting each other throughout the week different prayers because many
- 13:14Speaker 1: of us have lost our parents, some of them have
- 13:17Speaker 1: lost their in laws, some of them have lost one
- 13:20Speaker 1: of them lost for sister's husband. I'm from cancer, and
- 13:23Speaker 1: all of our children, you know, struggles that our children
- 13:25Speaker 1: go through, we share with each other. So I feel
- 13:28Speaker 1: like God has really put me in this bubble of Christians,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and I try to be kind and polite and speak
- 13:36Speaker 1: to everyone in the city that I come across because
- 13:39Speaker 1: I want to spread the gospel. I don't want to
- 13:40Speaker 1: just hang out with Christians. But I feel very protected
- 13:44Speaker 1: in New York, believe it or not, because I wasn't
- 13:46Speaker 1: about that. Moving here about.
- 13:49Speaker 2: A question for you, perhaps you are, of course co hosts.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Fox and Friends airs from six am to nine am
- 13:54Speaker 2: every weekday Eastern time. What does a daily schedule look
- 13:58Speaker 2: like for you in terms of bad time. I'm in
- 14:00Speaker 2: wake at time because most people are getting up around
- 14:05Speaker 2: the time. They're looking at you and all your co
- 14:09Speaker 2: hosts being you know, ready for the day. So I'm
- 14:12Speaker 2: just curious, what is what does a day look like
- 14:14Speaker 2: for you?
- 14:15Speaker 1: So I wake up at three point thirty in the morning,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and I sep four or five alarms on my phone
- 14:20Speaker 1: just in case, because I snoozed about two time and
- 14:24Speaker 1: I wake up immediately. My daughter loves to sleep with me,
- 14:27Speaker 1: so I'm a single mom, and so I let her.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Now she's ten years old. I know a lot of
- 14:32Speaker 1: doctors would say, don't let her do that, but we
- 14:34Speaker 1: read at night and we both go to bed at
- 14:36Speaker 1: the same time because I have to get up so early.
- 14:38Speaker 1: So it just works for me. I don't have a
- 14:39Speaker 1: normal schedule, and I have to do what just works
- 14:43Speaker 1: in this house for both of us. If not, I'll
- 14:44Speaker 1: end up putting her in her bed falling asleep. I
- 14:47Speaker 1: have to take my alarm and everything, my phone, plug
- 14:49Speaker 1: it in next to her bed, get my water, get
- 14:52Speaker 1: all my studies supplies because I'm studying for Fox and
- 14:54Speaker 1: Friends while she's reading her book. So it just works
- 14:58Speaker 1: for us. So we fall asleep together around nine o'clock,
- 15:00Speaker 1: and then I get up at three thirty. I take
- 15:03Speaker 1: I already have all my bags in the bathroom, my
- 15:05Speaker 1: clothes in the bathroom, and then I get ready in there,
- 15:08Speaker 1: go to work and I'm in the makeup and hair
- 15:11Speaker 1: chair at four thirty, do hair and makeup for the
- 15:14Speaker 1: next thirty thirty five minutes, and go upstairs. I'm in
- 15:17Speaker 1: my office for about fifty minutes by myself. I get
- 15:20Speaker 1: dressed in there. I keep all my dresses on my
- 15:21Speaker 1: high heels at work and pick out my outfit in
- 15:25Speaker 1: the morning, and then sit at my desk and I
- 15:27Speaker 1: will study for about forty five minutes of whatever's in
- 15:31Speaker 1: our rundown. They give us the list of whoever we're
- 15:34Speaker 1: interviewing the night before, so I can prepare those questions
- 15:37Speaker 1: and study those questions for about three or four most
- 15:40Speaker 1: of us, each of us have about three or four
- 15:42Speaker 1: interviews per show, so I'll study those in advance and
- 15:46Speaker 1: watch videos on that person or read about that person's story,
- 15:50Speaker 1: so I'm ready. In the morning, we get our talking points,
- 15:52Speaker 1: which is all ad lib So let's say we're ad
- 15:56Speaker 1: libbing about the conflict in Iran. We're ad libing about
- 16:00Speaker 1: Turning Point USA, their latest tour, whatever it is. I
- 16:04Speaker 1: need to study those topics, and I need to write
- 16:08Speaker 1: down on my folder the latest news, because obviously we're
- 16:11Speaker 1: in the news business. People are waking up. They want
- 16:13Speaker 1: to know what's new, so that when they go to
- 16:15Speaker 1: the water cooler. When they go to work, they're prepared
- 16:16Speaker 1: and they can talk about it if they're asked about
- 16:18Speaker 1: it at work. So I will. My system is I
- 16:22Speaker 1: have a Manila folder, old school. I get a lead pencil,
- 16:25Speaker 1: this brand that I like, and I'll write at the
- 16:28Speaker 1: top ron and I write the latest. I'll write under
- 16:31Speaker 1: that in a square, I'll write you know, turning Point USA.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And then on the next column I'll write, you know, America,
- 16:38Speaker 1: I'm so glad you were born Ainsley's children's book. And
- 16:41Speaker 1: then I'll write the top whatever it is. So that
- 16:43Speaker 1: that way, when I'm on set with the guys, I
- 16:44Speaker 1: put all of the articles that I've read inside that folder.
- 16:47Speaker 1: The outside of the folder is like a cheat sheet.
- 16:49Speaker 1: It has all of my notes that I want to
- 16:51Speaker 1: say on air. And that way, when I'm sitting on
- 16:53Speaker 1: the curvy couch with my co anchors of Lawrence on
- 16:56Speaker 1: my right and Brian on my left, Lawrence will say
- 16:59Speaker 1: something about Iran, I'll look at my folder. I'll say, oh,
- 17:01Speaker 1: he didn't say this. I can say that. I'll say that. Brian,
- 17:04Speaker 1: I'll say something and that I have one more thing
- 17:06Speaker 1: to add. We might toss to a reporter. If the
- 17:09Speaker 1: reporter didn't cover everything on my sheet, then I can
- 17:11Speaker 1: add that after the reporter. And it's a it's playing tennis,
- 17:14Speaker 1: like we're all trying to hit back and forth and balance,
- 17:16Speaker 1: you know. We just don't want to dominate the conversation.
- 17:19Speaker 1: And sometimes if it's a topic that I really love,
- 17:23Speaker 1: they'll let me talk more about that. If it's a
- 17:25Speaker 1: topic Brian loves like a run, he loves foreign policy,
- 17:29Speaker 1: we'll let him talk more about that. And Lawrence loves
- 17:33Speaker 1: to talk about crime, and he loves to talk about
- 17:35Speaker 1: faith like I do, and so he'll, you know, he
- 17:38Speaker 1: might dominate that, but we just we work really well together.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I have fabulous co anchors, and we share sharing you
- 17:46Speaker 1: have to share when you have a multi anchor show.
- 17:50Speaker 1: And then the show is over at nine and so
- 17:52Speaker 1: right now I had an interview at nine thirty. I
- 17:57Speaker 1: rushed home. I had an interview at nine thirty for
- 17:59Speaker 1: a year show. And now I have this interview and
- 18:03Speaker 1: I after that, we'll go catch a flight because I
- 18:05Speaker 1: spend my weekends with my fiance, so it's my turn
- 18:09Speaker 1: to go visit him. So I'm going to visit hem.
- 18:12Speaker 1: And so that's it. That's and then I'll have the
- 18:14Speaker 1: week one. That's pretty much my day. Sometimes I'll stay
- 18:17Speaker 1: and I'll anchor out Numbered, which is at noon. Sometimes
- 18:20Speaker 1: I'll stay to do other shows. Brian sometimes on his
- 18:24Speaker 1: weekend show, he'll record certain segments of that at like
- 18:27Speaker 1: one o'clock on a Friday, so I'll stay for that.
- 18:30Speaker 1: It just really do have to be there Monday through Friday,
- 18:33Speaker 1: six to nine, no exceptions.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I need to hire you as my wife, coach, Jamesly,
- 18:37Speaker 2: that's incredible, that's unbelievable.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Well, I love it, Michael zad the rest of the
- 18:41Speaker 1: day with my daughter.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yet I'd go to her.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Well. I volunteered to school yesterday we made sandwiches for
- 18:46Speaker 1: the less fortunate. We made four hundred sandwiches, and I
- 18:50Speaker 1: was there with all the moms. And then we came
- 18:52Speaker 1: home from school. I took her to her orthodontis appointment,
- 18:55Speaker 1: I helped her with her homework, and she had a
- 18:58Speaker 1: play date and I was there for all of it.
- 19:00Speaker 1: So it's a great schedule to be a mom.
