- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous. It's Lalakent.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Welcome to Untraditionally Lala hibbabs. It is Lalakent with Easton Benningham.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Depressing why they were better, the bonuses were better with what?
- 0:17Speaker 4: Oh, well, we have sensitive rats, sensitive little rats among us.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Who went and cried cried. I'm still so hung up
- 0:32Speaker 2: on this documentary. You guys that we watched what last
- 0:36Speaker 2: week with Dina, Yes, little fucking Dina. I mean, obviously
- 0:43Speaker 2: everybody is obsessed with like cults, right.
- 0:47Speaker 5: Yeah, and they're like.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Real, They're freaking real and alive. And I don't even
- 0:53Speaker 2: understand how one starts a cult. How could you be
- 0:56Speaker 2: so persuasive because I want these things and the leader
- 1:01Speaker 2: of the cult, and I'm like, if I were to
- 1:03Speaker 2: go and say this to people, they would look at
- 1:07Speaker 2: me like I'm insane and be like she's a weirdo.
- 1:10Speaker 2: This is what I've gathered about cult leaders. They know
- 1:14Speaker 2: who to target, which is something that I don't think
- 1:19Speaker 2: I possess.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I don't know that I have it in me.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I wasn't born with this or i'ven't experienced these types
- 1:28Speaker 2: of things in life where I can examine human behavior
- 1:33Speaker 2: and go that's the perfect target, which I think is
- 1:37Speaker 2: what cult leaders have conquered.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I mean, in the Mormon religion, they tell you to
- 1:45Speaker 3: like door to door what are they called again, missionaries,
- 1:48Speaker 3: missionaries to attack the homes with recently divorced, recently moved in,
- 1:57Speaker 3: or recent deaths in families, because that's when you're your
- 2:01Speaker 3: most vulnerable, yes, and that's when they come in and
- 2:04Speaker 3: it's like wow, So this just is like.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Weak.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yeah, And I mean that some would argue that the
- 2:13Speaker 2: Mormon religion is not a cult, it's a religion and
- 2:16Speaker 2: a religion only.
- 2:18Speaker 5: But I mean, like the.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Charles Manson who was like had his cult and like
- 2:26Speaker 2: got people to murder people. And then there was that dance,
- 2:30Speaker 2: the Dancing with the Devil. It wasn't Kate, I can't
- 2:34Speaker 2: remember exactly what it was, but these two sisters, one
- 2:40Speaker 2: of them just got so deep into this guy, uh,
- 2:44Speaker 2: this guy's cult religion where it was like a religion.
- 2:48Speaker 2: But also they brought in management company and it was
- 2:53Speaker 2: filled with dancers and they lived there and then they'd
- 2:56Speaker 2: go out and get jobs. And if you give more
- 2:59Speaker 2: money to the church, he will bless you by bringing
- 3:02Speaker 2: you more money. But then with more money. The church
- 3:05Speaker 2: wanted more money, and they fall into this cycle where
- 3:08Speaker 2: they like cut out their families. The most recent documentary
- 3:11Speaker 2: that we watched is on Netflix called Trust Me the
- 3:14Speaker 2: False Prophet.
- 3:15Speaker 5: There it is so.
- 3:16Speaker 2: If you guys remember Warren Jeffs, it was Keep Sweet,
- 3:20Speaker 2: pray and obey, and it dives deep into the lives
- 3:25Speaker 2: of these FLDS women who are the wives and just
- 3:32Speaker 2: I guess a part of this cult which I'm going
- 3:35Speaker 2: to call it that they call it a religion, but
- 3:36Speaker 2: it's fucking weird and sinister and disgusting and dark. But
- 3:41Speaker 2: who are a part of Warren Jeffs And he was
- 3:45Speaker 2: the prophet? Yes, I think the F starts for fundamental
- 3:48Speaker 2: or something like that. It's like how it started. I
- 3:51Speaker 2: think orig young, this is how it originated. So we
- 3:56Speaker 2: turn on this documentary and like I said, Warren Jeffs,
- 3:58Speaker 2: obviously we all know when to because he's a fucking pedophile.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Right, And.
- 4:05Speaker 2: While he's in prison and locked up, he's still feeding orders, right,
- 4:09Speaker 2: And he tells everyone a part of his cult, you
- 4:15Speaker 2: are not allowed to get.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Married any longer and no more babies, which means no sex.
- 4:22Speaker 1: That is the order he gives.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Well, now there's video of him just sitting in a
- 4:29Speaker 2: prison cell, not doing anything. He's just standing there like
- 4:33Speaker 2: a vacant human. And so these people are operating as
- 4:39Speaker 2: if they don't even know how to function because their
- 4:41Speaker 2: leader has told them to stop doing everything and has
- 4:44Speaker 2: stopped communication.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So cut to where we are now.
- 4:49Speaker 2: With this new doc and I believe Emily Simpson, who
- 4:53Speaker 2: has legally Burnett covered this up and down from like
- 4:56Speaker 2: a legal standpoint of what happened.
- 4:59Speaker 1: This woman Christine.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Marie, who is just a character, okay, and so sweet
- 5:04Speaker 2: and you can tell, just warm and fuzzy, and she's
- 5:06Speaker 2: had experience with like falling into a cult, and she
- 5:11Speaker 2: she was like a ventriloquist at one point.
- 5:14Speaker 5: She had a lot going on and she's a pageant girl.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Pageant girl, just a character in the best way. So
- 5:21Speaker 2: she decides that she and her husband Tolga, are going
- 5:24Speaker 2: to make a documentary and basically what she wants to
- 5:27Speaker 2: do is shed light and destigmatize FLDS. Women really go
- 5:31Speaker 2: in with cameras, boots on the ground. She gets a
- 5:34Speaker 2: house on the pro on the UH in the same
- 5:37Speaker 2: area that this house is on, which is Samuel Bateman's house.
- 5:46Speaker 2: What she uncovers takes her into a very different direction
- 5:51Speaker 2: with her documentary. So basically, Samuel Bateman has come into
- 5:56Speaker 2: the picture. He's got multiple wives. He has convinced three
- 5:59Speaker 2: men to not only give him their wives, but their
- 6:02Speaker 2: daughters whose summer underage. Samuel is saying that he has
- 6:07Speaker 2: gotten word because they haven't heard from mortgages, haven't heard
- 6:11Speaker 2: from more So, now he is is saying that he's
- 6:15Speaker 2: had direct communication, direct communication, saying he is the new prophet.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I thought he was the mouth of the prophet because
- 6:25Speaker 3: he wasn't speaking the false prophet.
- 6:28Speaker 2: He comes in and says that he is the new prophet.
- 6:31Speaker 1: He got the call.
- 6:32Speaker 5: That's what he said, the call. I would be lying
- 6:34Speaker 5: if I said I wasn't. You're right, I forgot about that.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yes, so tolden Christine walk into this house and these
- 6:45Speaker 2: women who are like clearly.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Very young in.
- 6:51Speaker 2: The documentary, they have to AI, so they blur their
- 6:53Speaker 2: faces and then they put.
- 6:54Speaker 1: AI over them. Wouldn't have no.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I think it made the documentary so much better better
- 7:00Speaker 2: because you're watching them talk and it's so fucking weird
- 7:03Speaker 2: to watch them.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 3: No, when the girls like face would turn in her face,
- 7:06Speaker 3: her head is this way, but the face is straight
- 7:08Speaker 3: out of you.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And so creepy.
- 7:13Speaker 2: But they're talking Christine and Tolga to they're gaining the
- 7:19Speaker 2: trust of these women and also this guy, I'm Samuel.
- 7:22Speaker 5: That's the number one person they have to gain.
- 7:24Speaker 2: And the one thing that we can all agree on
- 7:28Speaker 2: is any cult leader is the highest level of a narcissist. Okay,
- 7:33Speaker 2: and Samuel Bateman, we see it in real time, his narcissism.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Like he's so excited that there are cameras of their documentary.
- 7:40Speaker 3: We talk about him asking them to watch him just
- 7:43Speaker 3: run in the mountains. Just something's a little off with
- 7:48Speaker 3: that guy, just Phil running in the mountains.
- 7:50Speaker 6: Cool?
- 7:51Speaker 2: They go up because he has I mean, it's in
- 7:54Speaker 2: what Colorado Springs or is Colorado City or something.
- 8:00Speaker 1: We kicked him out. He used to see them all
- 8:02Speaker 1: over Saint George, Utah.
- 8:04Speaker 3: The Walmarts target. Because I didn't not a lot of
- 8:09Speaker 3: people know this. Still I'm pretty sure it's still true.
- 8:13Speaker 3: The higher the swoop on the head.
- 8:15Speaker 1: The closer to God.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Baby Well is the number one wife number two of course.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Because they're closer to God, they're directly associated with the prophet.
- 8:24Speaker 1: They're the number one.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yes, the running I can't get out of my mind Easton,
- 8:30Speaker 2: That's what he literally says to told guy.
- 8:32Speaker 4: And he's in fogg jeans and whatnot and just running
- 8:36Speaker 4: like he is doing parkour in the mountains.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Rock to rock jumping and what the hell.
- 8:45Speaker 1: He comes up the hill, he's like, did you get it?
- 8:47Speaker 1: Because maybe we should retake it. He goes again, he
- 8:50Speaker 1: goes again, Oh my gosh.
- 8:53Speaker 5: And then that white jacket, the white jacket.
- 8:58Speaker 4: You guys, this man is so If you have not
- 9:00Speaker 4: seen this documentary, this man is so fucking insane that
- 9:05Speaker 4: they're sitting in his living room as like, all of
- 9:08Speaker 4: these women just stare at him.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Some of them look discussed. Some of them you can't.
- 9:13Speaker 2: They can't hide what they're are, like, not my profit.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Some of them are questioning.
- 9:19Speaker 2: The wheels are turning, but they've been it's been embedded
- 9:23Speaker 2: in their minds.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You don't question, you have questions, put them on the shelf.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Later date, later date, Tomorrow, you ask, and tomorrow never comes. Oh,
- 9:32Speaker 2: but you do see the wheels exactly. You do see
- 9:35Speaker 2: the wheels turning. But they're just like talking about how
- 9:38Speaker 2: much they love Sam and what he's done for them
- 9:42Speaker 2: and how you know, with them being so close to him,
- 9:45Speaker 2: they get to go to the highest kingdom of heaven
- 9:48Speaker 2: and this is the life that they chose. They've been saved,
- 9:51Speaker 2: and he's just sitting there and talking about how he
- 9:55Speaker 2: wants to be the most influential person in the world.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he he wants the Queen. They end up
- 10:02Speaker 2: doing a music video Tolga. His background is in making
- 10:06Speaker 2: music videos. So these girls get all dressed up and
- 10:10Speaker 2: start singing, and then he arrives Samuel because his goal
- 10:17Speaker 2: is to make this music video that the Queen of
- 10:19Speaker 2: England will see and she will come to his house.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And be one of his wives. Like that's his goal.
- 10:27Speaker 2: And then they have like this vision board and they've
- 10:31Speaker 2: already got two Bentley's and like a jet or a
- 10:33Speaker 2: range drover, but he wants like private jets and things
- 10:36Speaker 2: like that.
- 10:37Speaker 1: So he's just like driving.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Around this podunk town in Bentley's and in like this
- 10:41Speaker 2: white jacket that I think might be dor I don't know.
- 10:44Speaker 5: It's horrendous. It's so bad. It's like his anytime he
- 10:50Speaker 5: has something nice to do, white jacket on.
- 10:52Speaker 2: White jacket comes on and while they're doing the music video,
- 10:56Speaker 2: because as you guys, if you haven't seen the dog
- 10:58Speaker 2: so as Christina told her. Doing this doc, they now
- 11:04Speaker 2: have confirmation that this guy is involved in sexual activity
- 11:09Speaker 2: with under told him in the I.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Had to give so and so my my wives and
- 11:16Speaker 3: it was like the younger ones, and he was like,
- 11:17Speaker 3: and it's just hard.
- 11:19Speaker 2: God told him, because God told him that he needed
- 11:22Speaker 2: to watch his younger wives have sex with another man.
- 11:27Speaker 2: He goes, do you know how hard that was to
- 11:29Speaker 2: watch someone else screw in your wife? And it's like,
- 11:32Speaker 2: oh my god, you can't believe that this is real.
- 11:36Speaker 2: So Christina ends up becoming an informant for UH, for
- 11:40Speaker 2: the FBI.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Doll they turn in that.
- 11:43Speaker 3: That's when she's like, we have to turn this in
- 11:46Speaker 3: because it's evidence when he said that and they were
- 11:48Speaker 3: in the car, and this is where it's I just
- 11:51Speaker 3: have a problem with Well.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I'm going to get to that because obviously this UH
- 11:56Speaker 2: Samuel Bateman, he knows exactly what he's doing. I think
- 12:00Speaker 2: he's pretty well versed in the law. Because Christine, what
- 12:06Speaker 2: they needed from her was to get him pictured with
- 12:10Speaker 2: his wives. So they have each wife that was in
- 12:13Speaker 2: the music video come and sit on his lap. He
- 12:16Speaker 2: misses every underage one, and he says to Christine, yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 2: we're not gonna do that, because that's what took Warren
- 12:21Speaker 2: Jeff's down is he had the photos with the underage kids,
- 12:26Speaker 2: so we have boards mission on that cut to how
- 12:30Speaker 2: he gets caught is fucking wild. And what's even more
- 12:36Speaker 2: wild is that when Christine and Tolgar are taking all
- 12:41Speaker 2: of this audio to the FBI and local police, it's
- 12:47Speaker 2: still not enough.
- 12:48Speaker 5: Yeah, they're like, we physically or you need video evidence.
- 12:52Speaker 3: It's like, well, you need video times to prevent and
- 12:56Speaker 3: this is what we have to prevent.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Well, it's happening already.
- 12:59Speaker 2: They can't prevent anything, but they can step in because
- 13:01Speaker 2: it's like, let's just use common sense. At this point,
- 13:04Speaker 2: common sense does not exist when it comes to you,
- 13:09Speaker 2: not at all. You either have to record, have have
- 13:16Speaker 2: video evidence. Just audio could be here. Say it's not enough.
- 13:21Speaker 2: You have to have video evidence, or you have to
- 13:25Speaker 2: have one of the underage girls come forward and say
- 13:29Speaker 2: that this has happened. But even then, even then it
- 13:33Speaker 2: can still be used as hearsay. I would say, the
- 13:35Speaker 2: strongest evidence is like what you see with your own
- 13:38Speaker 2: eyes and hear and like obviously This guy's no dummy.
- 13:41Speaker 5: He knows the drill.
- 13:42Speaker 2: He saw exactly how Warren Jeffs went down. He said,
- 13:44Speaker 2: how do I do what Warren Jeffs did? But I
- 13:47Speaker 2: don't get caught. He knows it front to back. Something happens,
- 13:52Speaker 2: and I hope you guys watch this documentary.
- 13:54Speaker 5: It's so good.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Where he loads up a truck with his main wives.
- 13:58Speaker 2: And keep in mind one of his main wives is
- 14:01Speaker 2: named Naomi or something like that.
- 14:03Speaker 5: They call her.
- 14:04Speaker 2: No, she's probably wife number five. She ain't even the
- 14:07Speaker 2: head bitch in charge. And actually she rocks with this man.
- 14:12Speaker 2: She knows where all the bodies are buried, and she
- 14:15Speaker 2: the way she looks at him is craziness.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Craziness.
- 14:19Speaker 2: She ends up leaving them, and you see her later
- 14:21Speaker 2: in little short shorts and she's just in a normal life.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Oh she she's very pretty, honestly, very pretty.
- 14:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:40Speaker 2: So he loads his wives up into this truck and
- 14:42Speaker 2: then a trailer and puts a bunch of the underage
- 14:44Speaker 2: ones in the back of the trailer, only two, but
- 14:47Speaker 2: there were other wives in the back of the trailer,
- 14:50Speaker 2: and a cop sees little hands hanging out of the
- 14:54Speaker 2: fucking trailer because it wasn't locked.
- 14:56Speaker 1: They were holding the.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Hanging. Hey like, if you're.
- 15:03Speaker 2: The profit toilet and there was a toilet in there,
- 15:06Speaker 2: how far were these people going?
- 15:08Speaker 1: He was a boarding.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Mission, so he's digging a hole in dirt and putting
- 15:12Speaker 3: the toilet over it.
- 15:13Speaker 5: And it's just an outhouse with a toilet. That's what that's.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Either way, if you're telling the.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Idea what that is, I can tell you right now.
- 15:20Speaker 3: They were planning to be off a grid, but at
- 15:24Speaker 3: least have a toilet, but it would just go.
- 15:26Speaker 5: And that's what I mean to off grid.
- 15:29Speaker 2: There is one woman because Christine goes in one day
- 15:32Speaker 2: before Bateman haul's ass with this trailer that's not closed
- 15:37Speaker 2: and she Christine talks to the girls in front of
- 15:40Speaker 2: Bateman about happiness and consent and if you don't want
- 15:45Speaker 2: to do something, you can say now, And just like that,
- 15:48Speaker 2: one of the women comes over to Christine's.
- 15:50Speaker 3: She she came over and she started to do like
- 15:53Speaker 3: breaking small little chores so she could feel like it
- 15:58Speaker 3: wasn't weird because she felt like she needed to. And
- 16:01Speaker 3: that's when Christine walked away to her and was like,
- 16:03Speaker 3: do you like, there's everything okay?
- 16:04Speaker 5: And that's when she spilled because she was just like
- 16:07Speaker 5: going over there.
- 16:08Speaker 1: And he becomes a heavy foreman too.
- 16:10Speaker 5: No love her. I wish you would get out of
- 16:13Speaker 5: the definitely.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I think she.
- 16:19Speaker 5: What was that guy's name, it's.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Like a Morone that is such a Mormon name. Morone
- 16:25Speaker 2: I the biggest Mormon name. I knew a few Morona
- 16:29Speaker 2: is back in Salt Lake.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Yeah, marone I. They locked this guy up.
- 16:35Speaker 1: This Samuel, your kids.
- 16:39Speaker 5: It's like, what are you doing?
- 16:40Speaker 3: Man?
- 16:41Speaker 2: He handed over his underage children to this man. And
- 16:46Speaker 2: even though like he showed up and said this happened,
- 16:51Speaker 2: keep in mind some of the kids, some of the women,
- 16:55Speaker 2: even if they weren't underage, still very young. The false
- 16:59Speaker 2: prophet Samuel said that God told him that these wives
- 17:04Speaker 2: had to watch their dad have sexual encounters.
- 17:09Speaker 1: That is disgusting.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Yeah, they had to watch their dad do like with
- 17:13Speaker 5: his other wives. Right.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Yes, I don't know what's going on in those rooms,
- 17:17Speaker 3: but all I know is sad, sad sound.
- 17:20Speaker 1: So at the end, they're planning a raid.
- 17:24Speaker 3: On three locations because he like they call it a
- 17:28Speaker 3: blue house and a greenhouse, and like the greenhouse is like.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Only women MARONEI and men.
- 17:35Speaker 3: In the Colt or the FLDS can't go to that house.
- 17:38Speaker 3: They're only allowed at the Blue House. It was just
- 17:41Speaker 3: and then they had their warehouse, yeah, where they like
- 17:46Speaker 3: kept all their shit.
- 17:47Speaker 2: But they're in here knowing that a raid is happening.
- 17:52Speaker 2: And these women are like, if someone comes through the door,
- 17:55Speaker 2: I'm blasting them with my AK forty.
- 17:58Speaker 5: Seven, Like get the guns. I was like, sweetheart, it.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Goes from like these women who are like cooking and
- 18:05Speaker 2: cleaning to like assassinators.
- 18:08Speaker 4: It's a fucking wild If you have not watched it,
- 18:12Speaker 4: your mind will be blown. Each episode is an hour,
- 18:15Speaker 4: you guys, there's four episodes. We watched every episode.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Oh we watched it all in one night. And not
- 18:21Speaker 5: only that, I had a dream about it.
- 18:24Speaker 4: M M that you that I was begging you to
- 18:26Speaker 4: do something and all this shit was going down.
- 18:28Speaker 5: I walked in the house and it's Samuel.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Bateman floating because he's the prophet, you know, because he's God.
- 18:33Speaker 3: But he had like four naked women and I just
- 18:36Speaker 3: turn right and it's my mom, sister and the girls,
- 18:39Speaker 3: and Lor.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Goes east do something and I woke up.
- 18:43Speaker 3: I was like, whoa, this really has a had a
- 18:47Speaker 3: headlock had me in a headlock.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Oh my god, I'm dying. It's just here's the thing.
- 18:54Speaker 2: It's so entertaining, but so fucking sad because this man
- 18:57Speaker 2: does end up going getting locked up.
- 19:00Speaker 1: And there are still women.
- 19:02Speaker 2: And a lot of the young underage girls went to
- 19:05Speaker 2: trial and testified, but some of the like old timer
- 19:09Speaker 2: FLDS women who were involved with Samuel, still think he's
- 19:11Speaker 2: the prophet and will not engage in like any communication.
- 19:14Speaker 2: You cannot tell them anything. That level of brainwashing. You're
- 19:18Speaker 2: obviously in it from the time you are going to
- 19:21Speaker 2: you're a child. I'm going to remind you of something again.
- 19:25Speaker 2: FLDS is not LDS. But we're touching tips, guys, we're
- 19:27Speaker 2: touching tests.
- 19:28Speaker 5: They're talking.
- 19:29Speaker 2: My mom used to let me in Easton go to
- 19:33Speaker 2: the LDS church with my grandma, my dad's mom.
- 19:36Speaker 5: That's because because.
- 19:38Speaker 1: We just is like you go other little kids.
- 19:40Speaker 5: I know.
- 19:41Speaker 3: But how funny my mom and dad were like, all right,
- 19:43Speaker 3: kick them to church and.
- 19:43Speaker 1: My mom have wine. Yeah, we'll go have wine on
- 19:46Speaker 1: a rooftop.
- 19:48Speaker 2: But mom said, you were three years old and you
- 19:51Speaker 2: came home and there was a matching game and you
- 19:54Speaker 2: had to put it in order of what you were
- 19:56Speaker 2: supposed to do first, which was like baptism baptism, then
- 20:00Speaker 2: you go on a mission, and then you.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Mary it in the temple like kids. There was like
- 20:05Speaker 3: a whole thing.
- 20:06Speaker 2: But Mom saw that you came home with it and
- 20:08Speaker 2: she never sent us again.
- 20:10Speaker 1: She was like, the fuck that, I will be.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Damned if you start ingraining the things into my kids at.
- 20:18Speaker 1: The age of three.
- 20:20Speaker 2: There were a lot of things that I did though
- 20:21Speaker 2: that I didn't even realize were like a part of
- 20:23Speaker 2: the Mormon Church, like Young Women's and then you would
- 20:25Speaker 2: connect with like you'd clean and cook and stuff. There
- 20:31Speaker 2: was this place called the Lionhouse, which I'm pretty sure
- 20:34Speaker 2: was owned by the church, that one of my friends
- 20:35Speaker 2: had a birthday party at. I guarantee you I want
- 20:38Speaker 2: to know what happened.
- 20:39Speaker 5: What.
- 20:40Speaker 2: So I was in charge. We cooked and cleaned perfect.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Just like you guys were supposed to be doing right
- 20:47Speaker 5: in the LDS church.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Yes, and we had to dress up really nice, damn right.
- 20:51Speaker 2: And I remember I was in charge of dishes. And
- 20:55Speaker 2: you know when you're a kid, like when you tell
- 20:57Speaker 2: someone you have to go to the bathroom, you're like
- 20:58Speaker 2: kind of embarrassed, not even not even number two, Just
- 21:01Speaker 2: like it even at school.
- 21:02Speaker 1: You're nervous, right, So.
- 21:04Speaker 2: I'm washing the dishes and I have to go to
- 21:06Speaker 2: the bathroom so badly, and the woman is next to
- 21:08Speaker 2: me who like works there, and she's like teaching me
- 21:10Speaker 2: how and I had to go so bad that I
- 21:11Speaker 2: pete on the floor.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Oh no, not only dishes, but moping, and I had.
- 21:16Speaker 2: To drive home in wet tights or car the.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Poor lion house.
- 21:25Speaker 5: Floor. They'll figure it out, But like what a metaphor
- 21:27Speaker 5: right for me?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Like later on in life, remember dishes.
- 21:32Speaker 5: To ping on the floor. What's the metaphor?
- 21:34Speaker 2: King on the lion house? I mean, I guess that's
- 21:38Speaker 2: more like territorial than anything. It should have been a shmarking.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I just think back on even my grandmother, and she
- 21:58Speaker 2: was such a loving Like when you're a kid and
- 22:01Speaker 2: there's not much going on in your life, of course
- 22:03Speaker 2: your grandma is like super loving. But I remember having
- 22:06Speaker 2: this like six four samoan boyfriend and we left. I
- 22:12Speaker 2: think we were at like outback steakhouse and we left
- 22:17Speaker 2: and I was in theater.
- 22:18Speaker 5: I had to go.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I had to go like rehearse or something.
- 22:21Speaker 2: So my boyfriend and I leave and apparently this is
- 22:25Speaker 2: what happened after is my and I love my grandma.
- 22:28Speaker 2: You guys, God rest her soul. You know, she didn't
- 22:30Speaker 2: know any better. She knows now she's up there, she sees,
- 22:32Speaker 2: she knows what's up.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Times are changing.
- 22:35Speaker 2: But she got like a little angst, I guess after
- 22:39Speaker 2: we had left, and Mom like asked her what was
- 22:41Speaker 2: wrong or something, and she was talking about me being
- 22:44Speaker 2: in theater and started like insinuating things, and my mom
- 22:47Speaker 2: kind of side eyes her and she's like, what are
- 22:49Speaker 2: you trying to say?
- 22:50Speaker 5: And she's gonna be gay?
- 22:51Speaker 1: You want your daughter to be a lesbian?
- 22:56Speaker 5: Did you see?
- 22:57Speaker 4: Because I was in theater? And by the way, Graham like,
- 23:00Speaker 4: you don't need to worry about that. I for sure
- 23:02Speaker 4: I have another one.
- 23:03Speaker 3: We have some family members in here I'm picking out
- 23:05Speaker 3: that might be a little closer way more worried about them.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Like I'm not worried because, like, I don't think there's
- 23:11Speaker 4: anything wrong with like doing anything that you want to do,
- 23:14Speaker 4: No doing you like, however, you a barm baby, you
- 23:16Speaker 4: do you baby?
- 23:17Speaker 3: If we're gonna add up something, this one makes a
- 23:20Speaker 3: little more sense to be lesbian than.
- 23:21Speaker 2: This than my daughter who's in theater, who just left
- 23:24Speaker 2: with her six or four hot tattooed boyfriends.
- 23:27Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, that all makes.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Sense, right, not saying that later down the line, I
- 23:32Speaker 2: didn't have experiences.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck. I now that Graham's is
- 23:38Speaker 1: up where she is, she don't give a fuck either.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:41Speaker 3: No, And she's probably thinking, Wow, misfired on that one.
- 23:45Speaker 4: If I met Hella for your whole life, you are misfiring,
- 23:49Speaker 4: you know, like even me in Easton with our sobriety journeys,
- 23:53Speaker 4: we were misfiring.
- 23:53Speaker 1: But at least we cleaned it up at least before
- 23:55Speaker 1: the end.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Right.
- 23:58Speaker 2: The other thing that Grandma said to Dad, my poor
- 24:01Speaker 2: dad is constant.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Well, I mean it doesn't come out on the day,
- 24:09Speaker 5: but I.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Guess we're a week We're a week late, all right,
- 24:12Speaker 2: but we're recording today, so let's talk about it.
- 24:15Speaker 5: My dad.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Today is the eighth anniversary of his passing. God rest
- 24:20Speaker 2: his soul. Maybe pour a little Perryer out for him.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Isn't there Phronsia? Wasn't that his whine of choice?
- 24:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:30Speaker 1: Fransia.
- 24:31Speaker 5: He loved a good box of Fronsia.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Who doesn't. This is like one of my first drinks
- 24:36Speaker 1: along with taka.
- 24:37Speaker 5: I was very I know now I'm kind of putting alcoholics.
- 24:40Speaker 1: No, it's fine.
- 24:42Speaker 2: But on grandma's deathbed, Dad was over there because he
- 24:47Speaker 2: was just like a gem of a human.
- 24:50Speaker 1: And over there all day every day. She lives so close.
- 24:54Speaker 2: But she she said how sad she was, and Dad was,
- 24:58Speaker 2: you know, crying, obviously stated how sad he was too,
- 25:02Speaker 2: because your mom's my mom's dying, right, And she goes,
- 25:06Speaker 2: you're sad for a different reason. I'm sad because I'm
- 25:11Speaker 2: not going to see you in heaven.
- 25:13Speaker 5: I know. But the saddest thing is she thought she
- 25:16Speaker 5: was going to the third.
- 25:17Speaker 1: If she wasn't, is that the worst one?
- 25:19Speaker 5: I think that's the best.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Uh there's levels. One is good or three is good.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Two is the middle. But yeah, they can come.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Down, you can't go up.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Oh it's kind of like, uh but.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Again, they're both up there now and I know that
- 25:33Speaker 1: they're kicking it.
- 25:34Speaker 4: You know.
- 25:34Speaker 5: It's like there's no levels to heaven.
- 25:37Speaker 2: And this is what else I think about heaven if
- 25:39Speaker 2: I really really it's like Coco.
- 25:42Speaker 1: If I cross the exactly.
- 25:44Speaker 2: If I think highly of someone but they don't like
- 25:47Speaker 2: me in heaven, I can spend time with them, but
- 25:51Speaker 2: they don't have to spend time with me, because everything
- 25:53Speaker 2: works out you want to.
- 25:55Speaker 3: They're in their own life doing what they want to exactly.
- 25:57Speaker 3: But they're a part of mine.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I may not be a part of totally.
- 26:00Speaker 2: And I like to think that in heaven you get
- 26:02Speaker 2: to relive all of your best, happiest moments. A lot
- 26:07Speaker 2: of mine will involve drinking.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Oh I know, right, just a replay.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I hope yours is you dumping the champagne on you
- 26:15Speaker 3: and that would be my favorite in your Tupac. Holy shit,
- 26:18Speaker 3: you can never say anything to me again, Easton. You
- 26:21Speaker 3: can't say that.
- 26:22Speaker 5: Really.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Just pull that photo up. I go into immediate shame.
- 26:27Speaker 4: Oh god, you guys. I had the best time talking
- 26:29Speaker 4: about this very weird culty touching tips.
- 26:32Speaker 5: You know the's docking. They really are docking. You can
- 26:36Speaker 5: look that up. It's a little play onwards. I love it.
- 26:39Speaker 4: Thank you for listening to another bonus episode again that
- 26:42Speaker 4: documentary if you want to watch, which I highly recommend,
- 26:45Speaker 4: trust me.
- 26:47Speaker 2: The false prophet on blinks. The next one we're starting
- 26:50Speaker 2: is a little bit older. It's called Wild Wild Country.
- 26:53Speaker 5: M hmm.
- 26:54Speaker 3: But I do this one's also old. They made a
- 26:57Speaker 3: movie last year. It's called Last Breath. Yeah, have you
- 27:01Speaker 3: seen it? So it's a movie and a doc. We're
- 27:03Speaker 3: watching the documentary.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Okay, so good. Yeah.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Is it cult culting?
- 27:07Speaker 5: No, no, no, this is uh.
- 27:11Speaker 3: I can't remember the exact but they're deep sea divers
- 27:14Speaker 3: who like well then do like things for oil.
- 27:17Speaker 5: Oh mm hmmm.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Like they call them umbilical cords because they can't resurface.
- 27:23Speaker 3: They go they get dropped down on a pressurized bell,
- 27:27Speaker 3: so like they're down in there and then they drop
- 27:29Speaker 3: from there and they have umbilical cords they call them
- 27:32Speaker 3: where it has like oxygen heat and if that breaks,
- 27:36Speaker 3: you die.
- 27:38Speaker 5: And there's a doc about.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll watch that all right, guys, just talking about it.
