- 1:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't really have a prediction.
- 1:16Speaker 3: No, you shouldn't. I still have a bump in the
- 1:18Speaker 3: back of my head from third grade where Michael Mesidi.
- 1:21Speaker 4: My favorite part of growing up curseh it's Richie Campanella.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Michael.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Madi, Vincent Benatoula.

- 1:48Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:49Speaker 4: So just so you know, the look on your face
- 1:50Speaker 4: is speaks he speaks volume. Yeah, how does it feel
- 1:53Speaker 4: to be like me?

- 2:02Speaker 1: dot com.
- 2:04Speaker 3: All right, welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 2:08Speaker 3: at Jilles Stadium, getting ready for the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I'm getting all these suggestions and where to go to
- 2:15Speaker 3: eat on the strip, so thank you for that. Talking
- 2:20Speaker 3: coordinators today, Alex van Pelt and DeMarcus Covington Wade in
- 2:25Speaker 3: uh and of course we're going to be doing picks
- 2:28Speaker 3: Duson Evan'll be bye later. Right now, it's Paul, it's Alex,
- 2:31Speaker 3: it's me, it's Matt and the booth, and we'll be
- 2:34Speaker 3: here for the next two hours talking Patriots and whatever
- 2:37Speaker 3: else comes to mind.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Alex looks like she's ready for Nashville.
- 2:41Speaker 6: This is not a Nashville out Texas outfit. Someone's ex
- 2:45Speaker 6: from Texas. Like the George Street song. Okay, I have
- 2:49Speaker 6: to clarify because I don't want people to think I'm
- 2:52Speaker 6: like a Nashville cowgirl. I'm like a Hook'm Texas.
- 2:55Speaker 3: But why wouldn't you be in Nashville.
- 2:57Speaker 6: Calgary, because we're playing with Nashville.
- 2:59Speaker 3: That's why I'm saying you should be in Nashville, cowgirl.
- 3:02Speaker 6: Do they have cowgirls or is it just like aspiring singers?
- 3:07Speaker 3: Yeah, they sell the cowboy boots up and down the street.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Okay, today ten women that walk up and down the
- 3:15Speaker 4: streets are dressed like that.
- 3:16Speaker 7: Oh yeah, no, they have like.
- 3:22Speaker 3: It's a big it's.
- 3:23Speaker 6: Alex went to Texas two weeks ago, made it her
- 3:25Speaker 6: whole personality.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's turned into a big destiny, right, thank you. Yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 3: they all come in, they got their little skirts on, in.
- 3:36Speaker 6: Their boots, Amazon boots, you know.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Just living it up, living a dream, being somebody else
- 3:41Speaker 3: for a couple of nights. Cool.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Yeah, not a ton takeaways from the coordinators that you preface.
- 3:49Speaker 4: They were both good. They were both solid, but you know,
- 3:52Speaker 4: just kind of.
- 3:53Speaker 3: I was in meetings, so I couldn't, you know, listen live.
- 3:56Speaker 3: But from what I heard, I mean, Alex van Pelt
- 3:59Speaker 3: was glowing about booty.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Uh.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Okay, that he's been outstanding in you know.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Well maybe like tone aside, like from the tweets, it
- 4:11Speaker 6: was like very glowing.
- 4:12Speaker 4: All the coach I didn't mean, I didn't take it
- 4:14Speaker 4: as anything out of the ordinary. To be honest with you,
- 4:16Speaker 4: I think all the coaches have been very complementary of
- 4:18Speaker 4: Booty's work ethic. From a tough start through the spring
- 4:23Speaker 4: and into the summer, he's practiced much better. He's become
- 4:27Speaker 4: a part of the offense. I think that's sort of
- 4:30Speaker 4: like to me, maybe I didn't think it was as
- 4:31Speaker 4: glowing as as you did, because to me it was
- 4:35Speaker 4: kind of old like it. That's been the theme that's
- 4:39Speaker 4: been going on now, I would say for the last
- 4:42Speaker 4: maybe three weeks. You know, Booty's transformation from sort of
- 4:46Speaker 4: afterthought to regular part of the offense has been talked
- 4:51Speaker 4: about by Mayo, by certainly by Van Pelt.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And they could be encouraging him, like, you know, keep
- 4:57Speaker 3: it up.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, he's he's making plays.
- 5:00Speaker 3: And then Drake May's decision making is outstanding.
- 5:06Speaker 8: He said, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think he he didn't
- 5:10Speaker 8: say that he was disappointed, but I think like sense
- 5:13Speaker 8: that he was disappointed not to see the trans you know,
- 5:16Speaker 8: the transition from the London game to the Jets game
- 5:19Speaker 8: because he didn't get to play enough to see like
- 5:22Speaker 8: that kind of stuff.
- 5:23Speaker 4: But yeah, he did. He mentioned the decision making being improved.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yep. And do we have any more clarity on where
- 5:31Speaker 3: Drake may is in his protocol?
- 5:33Speaker 9: No.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Van Pelt was very adamant about that, not getting into
- 5:37Speaker 4: any of the injury stuff, and I think he like
- 5:41Speaker 4: someone even asked him to anticipate him doing more today
- 5:43Speaker 4: and he said, well, he hasn't met with the He's
- 5:45Speaker 4: meeting with the personnel this morning, so I don't even
- 5:48Speaker 4: think they know yet where he stands in the protocol. Okay,
- 5:52Speaker 4: but he was listened as limited yesterday. That's an update.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yep.
- 5:56Speaker 4: We got the injury report at four o'clock yesterday. He
- 5:59Speaker 4: was out there, he did some stuff as Mayo said
- 6:03Speaker 4: he would, and he was listened as limited. I thought
- 6:05Speaker 4: that maybe he'd be a DNP on the practice on
- 6:08Speaker 4: the official report, but he wasn't. He was as limited.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I think that's another good sign.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Yep, that is a good sign. So we'll see what happens.
- 6:15Speaker 3: We'll see when Evan comes back from practice today, if
- 6:18Speaker 3: there's any more news, you know, if the media has
- 6:22Speaker 3: picked up on anything or you know, Gerrod does not
- 6:25Speaker 3: speak on Thursdays, right, so we won't hear from him
- 6:27Speaker 3: until tomorrow morning. But you know, you can only hold
- 6:31Speaker 3: out hope at this point.
- 6:34Speaker 4: So and I have hope. Yeah, I think there's a
- 6:36Speaker 4: chance he could play.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Yeah, we talked about yesterday about you know, who actually
- 6:39Speaker 3: gives the Patriots a better chance of winning, Jacoby Pressaid
- 6:42Speaker 3: or Drake May. And it's it's kind of a toss
- 6:45Speaker 3: up there. I mean, there's no definitive right answer there.
- 6:48Speaker 3: But I just want to see May out there, just
- 6:51Speaker 3: just to keep the progress going. I think the Tennessee
- 6:54Speaker 3: Titans defense poses some really challenges for him, especially when
- 6:59Speaker 3: it comes to decision making, and I want to see
- 7:01Speaker 3: how he does.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm kind of interested in seeing the Tennessee defense
- 7:05Speaker 4: period because yeah, I don't know, I like to see
- 7:10Speaker 4: how legit it is. Yeah, you know, how much of
- 7:13Speaker 4: it is sort of circumstantial. They you know, they're one
- 7:16Speaker 4: and six.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I'm sure our offense is that, you know, they to
- 7:19Speaker 3: test to see how legitate.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Well, that's true, you know, you know, I'm just I'm
- 7:24Speaker 4: looking they you know, that's some of the teams they've played,
- 7:26Speaker 4: like they've played Chicago and that was Caleb Williams's first game, right,
- 7:30Speaker 4: you know. They played the Jets, an offense that's really
- 7:33Speaker 4: struggled all year. But I'll give that one as a
- 7:35Speaker 4: legit because they have weapons and that's it. You know,
- 7:37Speaker 4: they had Rogers, they have good wide receivers. So I'm
- 7:40Speaker 4: that one's I would say in the plus column. They
- 7:42Speaker 4: played the Packers without Jordan Love. That was a Molik
- 7:46Speaker 4: Willis game. They gave up thirty. Then they then they
- 7:50Speaker 4: played the Dolphins without Tua. Then they played the Colts
- 7:53Speaker 4: and I'm not sure who played that game. I'm not
- 7:56Speaker 4: sure if that was a Flacco game or a Richardson game,
- 7:59Speaker 4: to be honest. You know Buffalo and Detroit the last
- 8:02Speaker 4: two weeks thirty four and fifty two.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Yeah, so maybe they're not as good as we did.
- 8:07Speaker 4: So I'm kind of curious to see what they look like. Yeah,
- 8:10Speaker 4: and I just had that like in front of me.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I didn't memorize that stuff.
- 8:13Speaker 3: But it's good to look into that.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, little context if you will. Yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 4: number one ranked defense, but is it going.
- 8:22Speaker 3: To the yep and and of course, congratulations to the
- 8:27Speaker 3: Los Angeles Dodgers for being world champs. And what a
- 8:31Speaker 3: meltdown by the Yankees.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Made the top of the fifth Run on a Loop Forever.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it was good to see. Although my guy,
- 8:40Speaker 3: he just took his eye off that ball.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Judge, he loves, he loves Aaron Judge.
- 8:44Speaker 6: I was happy for Mookie. I hate like you guys,
- 8:46Speaker 6: I hate both teams, but I always root for Mooie Bets.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Yeah, everybody kind of pushed back on my Dodgers hate.
- 8:52Speaker 4: I don't the Dodgers at all, and people were like,
- 8:55Speaker 4: why do you hate the Dodgers.
- 8:56Speaker 6: I don't know anyone from.
- 8:58Speaker 4: L A like that whole Steve Garvey smarmy kind of
- 9:03Speaker 4: that's what I grew up with. I didn't didn't care
- 9:05Speaker 4: for it.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Did you guys see the guy who tried to pry
- 9:09Speaker 6: the ball out of Mookie Betts's Did you see the
- 9:12Speaker 6: update on that? It was Gronk's friend from All.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's old news.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Excuse me.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I know he was on the k Adams Show and
- 9:19Speaker 3: he was talking.
- 9:19Speaker 6: About it yesterday or this morning. I didn't okay, I
- 9:22Speaker 6: didn't see this till this morning.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Yeah, this is yeah, but.
- 9:24Speaker 4: It was after the show. We didn't know that.
- 9:27Speaker 3: During the show, he was talking about how he knew
- 9:29Speaker 3: the kid he played on the club team at Clara
- 9:33Speaker 3: Club hockey team and he was a maniac back then.
- 9:36Speaker 3: And she's like, oh, if you think he's a maniac,
- 9:38Speaker 3: then he must have really been a maniac for sure.
- 9:41Speaker 3: But yeah, you know, giving these guys any type of
- 9:46Speaker 3: positive press I think is bad. You know, like I'm
- 9:50Speaker 3: not being an old fart by saying you can't be
- 9:54Speaker 3: you know, reaching out and getting involved with athletes. You know,
- 9:58Speaker 3: like if you're in Broadway, do you walk up on
- 9:59Speaker 3: the stage and like, you know, interact with the You
- 10:03Speaker 3: just don't do that, like you're there as a spectator.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Keep it that way, like.
- 10:07Speaker 6: They got that karma.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Yea yeah. But like if you were like at a
- 10:10Speaker 4: basketball game and you have floor seats, right and a
- 10:13Speaker 4: guy was inbound on the ball and you just reached
- 10:15Speaker 4: out and knocked it out of his hands, do you
- 10:16Speaker 4: think that would be okay?
- 10:17Speaker 3: No, see you later.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Like it's the same thing, right, Like you would never
- 10:22Speaker 4: see that in a basketball game. Let's hope knock on.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Would we never see it?
- 10:26Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 10:27Speaker 4: You know, and I didn't see a lot of examples.
- 10:30Speaker 4: But just if anybody wants to try to normalize this
- 10:32Speaker 4: as well, you know, they're doing what they need to.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Like that's crazy, yeah, because that was way above and beyond.
- 10:38Speaker 3: It's like, you know, and everyone's like same scenario basketball game.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Every once in a while, the player goes into the stands,
- 10:45Speaker 3: you know, going for a loose ball. You know what
- 10:47Speaker 3: if like you go in the stands and the guy
- 10:48Speaker 3: gives you a rabbit punch in the back of the head,
- 10:50Speaker 3: It's like, you just can't do that. So I don't.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I don't like, you know, making these guys out to
- 10:56Speaker 3: be anything more than they are, which is idiots.
- 11:00Speaker 4: So there you go, and they got they.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Got yep, they and their team lost and their team lost.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Good. It's unbelievable. It was unbelievable how they melted down
- 11:12Speaker 4: in that.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, good. All right, So now the Red
- 11:19Speaker 3: Sox should be motivated to spend some money because you
- 11:22Speaker 3: can actually win a World Series. That's what if you
- 11:24Speaker 3: buy some good players.
- 11:25Speaker 4: That's my hope. And that's kind of why I was like,
- 11:27Speaker 4: you know, all right, so I'm glad these two teams
- 11:30Speaker 4: made it, but I don't have any faith.
- 11:33Speaker 3: But you know, so Wan Soto is going to be
- 11:36Speaker 3: a free agent, and you know, the Yankees are in
- 11:38Speaker 3: the mix, the Mets are in the mix, and now
- 11:40Speaker 3: they say Toronto's why aren't the Red Sox in the
- 11:42Speaker 3: mix for want Soto? Like why is that? Like, I
- 11:46Speaker 3: know they have a lot of lefty hitters, but he's
- 11:48Speaker 3: a good one.
- 11:49Speaker 6: I feel like the Red Sox the last couple of
- 11:50Speaker 6: seasons have kind of decimated their like powers as a
- 11:55Speaker 6: place free agents want to go to. Like you talk
- 11:58Speaker 6: to a lot of the Latin American guys, the guys
- 12:01Speaker 6: that come out of Central America, et cetera, and they're like,
- 12:04Speaker 6: it's the Yankees and the Red Sox, Like those are
- 12:06Speaker 6: the teams you want to play for.
- 12:08Speaker 7: And is it still that way?
- 12:10Speaker 6: I don't know, but it just seems.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Like it's not that way if they don't pay.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Like Mookie is a guy that, in my opinion, should
- 12:17Speaker 6: have been a Red Sox for life, Like that guy
- 12:20Speaker 6: should be in Boston for life. And just ever since
- 12:23Speaker 6: that happened, it's just been one thing after another that
- 12:27Speaker 6: I'm like, what are we doing? Are we even the
- 12:28Speaker 6: Red Sox anymore?
- 12:29Speaker 4: And I think they've just decided that we can make
- 12:33Speaker 4: money without winning at that level, So why not make
- 12:37Speaker 4: more money?
- 12:38Speaker 6: Yeah, buy some more teams.
- 12:40Speaker 3: If that's the reason, then we need an ownership change
- 12:43Speaker 3: because that's not how they always used to be.
- 12:45Speaker 4: They Yeah, they didn't win those titles by doing that.
- 12:49Speaker 4: You know, like the foundation of sort of the breaking
- 12:53Speaker 4: of the curse was Johnny Damon, Manny Ramirez, Kurt Shilling,
- 12:58Speaker 4: Pedro Martinez, you know, Keith Folk. You know, big money,
- 13:03Speaker 4: either trades or free agent acquisitions.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Do you think if I sold my Super Bowl rings
- 13:07Speaker 3: I could afford to buy the Red Sox.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Probably need a little more than that.
- 13:11Speaker 3: I could.
- 13:12Speaker 4: I could put mine up as collateral.
- 13:13Speaker 3: For you to help.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Yeah, although, okay, well has MLB gone the way of
- 13:17Speaker 6: other leagues accepting like private equity?
- 13:19Speaker 7: Know, we could probably get a group together.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Oh, MLBS had minority owners for a long time. Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 3: they've got Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 4: You missed that. Alex probably can get a group together.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, private private equity, Yeah, we can do.
- 13:34Speaker 7: We'll do some fun I don't know.
- 13:36Speaker 6: If you're interested in investing in Friday and I series
- 13:39Speaker 6: a round by the Red Sox will fund me link
- 13:43Speaker 6: just right next to the go fund link for Paul's car.
- 13:47Speaker 4: A little knowledge about everything.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I know.
- 13:49Speaker 7: I know my finance bro.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Okay, right, so that's baseball. So now we're moving back
- 13:58Speaker 3: to football.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Baseball.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Huh, Now we're moving back to football. We had our
- 14:02Speaker 3: first UH practice participation report yesterday, any anything that we
- 14:10Speaker 3: need to talk about there.
- 14:12Speaker 4: There was a lot of people on it for both teams.
- 14:17Speaker 4: The d nps for the Patriots were Christian Ellis, Bedarian Lowe,
- 14:22Speaker 4: and Jacquelin Roy. Ellis with an abdomen injury, Low ankle
- 14:28Speaker 4: and shoulder.
- 14:29Speaker 3: So the shoulders knew because the ankle was what he.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Had and roy is a neck. But then they had
- 14:37Speaker 4: one two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve,
- 14:41Speaker 4: thirteen players listen, that was my Mike Francesa. One yeah right,
- 14:45Speaker 4: three thirteen radio thirteen players listed as limited. The Titans
- 14:51Speaker 4: had a lot of guys that did not practice in
- 14:54Speaker 4: some big names Tyler boyd, Amani Hooker, Tony Pollard, uh To,
- 14:58Speaker 4: Andre Sweat, Lagerious Snead, Jeffrey Simmons, although Jeffrey Simmons was
- 15:03Speaker 4: rest but those are big, big names for the Titans
- 15:07Speaker 4: and those guys didn't practice yesterday, so would.
- 15:09Speaker 3: You say he's in a better position right now as
- 15:11Speaker 3: a franchise the patroons of the Patriots.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Patriots, Patriots, Why Drake May?
- 15:16Speaker 7: Yeah, single handedly exactly.
- 15:18Speaker 6: And if you asked me six weeks ago, I'd probably
- 15:21Speaker 6: say the Titans.
- 15:22Speaker 4: But yeah, I would just I would say the Patriots.
- 15:25Speaker 4: But it's all about Drake May. I don't necessarily think
- 15:29Speaker 4: they're any further along in the rebuilding process than the
- 15:32Speaker 4: Titans are. They both have first year head coaches that are,
- 15:36Speaker 4: you know, learning their way and trying to figure things out.
- 15:39Speaker 4: But I do think will Levis does not look like
- 15:44Speaker 4: me has the amount of potential that Drake May has shown.
- 15:48Speaker 4: And I know it's only been a couple of games,
- 15:50Speaker 4: and you know, I'll be fair about this. I won't
- 15:53Speaker 4: just be Johnny Homer. Will Levis had a couple of
- 15:57Speaker 4: games last year as a rookie where I'm sure that
- 16:00Speaker 4: Titans fans were very excited. Yeah, And the one that
- 16:03Speaker 4: sticks out to me is that Monday night game in
- 16:04Speaker 4: Miami late in the year. He played really, really well.
- 16:08Speaker 4: I think he had another game one of his first
- 16:09Speaker 4: starts he threw four touchdown passes. So Levis has shown flashes,
- 16:14Speaker 4: but I think the body of his work is not
- 16:18Speaker 4: overly encouraging if I'm a Titans fan.
- 16:21Speaker 6: Also, I think that that big game was right after
- 16:23Speaker 6: his girlfriend left him for Morgan Wallen, so I wonder
- 16:25Speaker 6: how much that had to do with.
- 16:28Speaker 3: It.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Is Alexandra comes with that, right?
- 16:32Speaker 5: She went to.
- 16:35Speaker 6: Guest and then conveniently broke up with Will Levis, and
- 16:39Speaker 6: then he went off, I'll show you Morgan.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Then he got depressed about it. In the off seasons.
- 16:46Speaker 4: I would be upset to that would happen.
- 16:49Speaker 6: I'd have to ask him. But I'm just this is
- 16:51Speaker 6: all speculation, right, what?
- 16:53Speaker 4: What? What's the time sound?
- 16:55Speaker 3: I thought Morgan Wallen was a man?
- 16:57Speaker 5: I'm sorry he is?
- 16:59Speaker 6: The country is the girlfriend?
- 17:02Speaker 7: Her name is Ga, girlfriend's.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Story went to concert as his guest and Va evidently
- 17:11Speaker 4: has left Will Levis.
- 17:12Speaker 6: It was that friendly park, the Frienway Park concert.
- 17:15Speaker 4: So in fact, you know.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I did not well, you know it's not speaking of
- 17:21Speaker 3: speaking of girlfriends. Bill's ex dressed up for as kill
- 17:25Speaker 3: Bill for Hallow No way, that was I thought that
- 17:28Speaker 3: was great.
- 17:29Speaker 4: This is not like you to not know that.
- 17:31Speaker 5: I didn't know this.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I know.
- 17:32Speaker 6: I followed Linda on Instagram too, I haven't been on
- 17:35Speaker 6: social media a lot.
- 17:36Speaker 3: And she had a group picture from Nantucket, I assume
- 17:38Speaker 3: with her friends and she was Uma Thurman from Hell. Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 6: I love that in Nantucket too.
- 17:45Speaker 7: I love that what I I love.
- 17:48Speaker 3: That was close?
- 17:49Speaker 10: I was close.
- 17:51Speaker 7: I love that she's still.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Then apparently she got mad at people from for calling
- 17:57Speaker 3: her out on the internet.
- 17:58Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, what do you expect? Like, yeah, I
- 18:00Speaker 4: agree with that, YE liked, but I see, I find
- 18:10Speaker 4: it funny that she did it. I thought it was
- 18:12Speaker 4: kind of, you know, kind of interesting, kind of cute.
- 18:15Speaker 4: And then she got you know, some people I guess,
- 18:18Speaker 4: you know, as Fred said, you know, called her out
- 18:20Speaker 4: on it, and then she got really mad. I was like, okay,
- 18:24Speaker 4: now not like now, I'm like, what are we doing
- 18:27Speaker 4: right that you have been prepared that people some people
- 18:32Speaker 4: are going to be team Bill and they're gonna.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Well, they probably got nasty with her because you know,
- 18:37Speaker 3: I guess he bought the house that she's living in
- 18:39Speaker 3: right now, so so so why would you want to
- 18:41Speaker 3: kill him? But it's all in fun, It's like a joke.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Well, his current girlfriend also recently had to clap back
- 18:51Speaker 6: at the haters because I guess some Boston radio station.
- 18:54Speaker 6: Some girl was like, I'm unfamiliar with the show.
- 19:00Speaker 7: I don't listen.
- 19:03Speaker 6: You could not, you could not be two kinds of.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Things that I knew that you did to.
- 19:08Speaker 7: The radio station.
- 19:09Speaker 3: You don't have to listen. It's all over the internet.
- 19:11Speaker 6: That's how I well, that's how I found out about
- 19:13Speaker 6: it too, from the internet.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:15Speaker 6: But her calling that girl out and being like, oh,
- 19:18Speaker 6: I could go be a Bridgewater State cheerleader and then
- 19:22Speaker 6: she was like, oh yeah you could.
- 19:23Speaker 7: Like I thought that was funny.
- 19:24Speaker 3: That's good. And then Bill, you see what build it
- 19:27Speaker 3: fun fact? Okay, so why don't you know this? He
- 19:29Speaker 3: posted on yout on Instagram a support for her, like
- 19:35Speaker 3: doing the bear claw. I guess they're the Bridgewater States
- 19:38Speaker 3: the Bears.
- 19:38Speaker 6: Yeah, And he's going like, yeah, yeah, that's funny.
- 19:42Speaker 4: So fun fact that the girl I just want to wait,
- 19:45Speaker 4: that was critical of Bill's girlfriend. Yeah, used to work here.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Really, Yeah, that's right. Hmhmm. It's just a fun.
- 19:54Speaker 6: Team winning or team Jordan's.
- 19:55Speaker 3: It's just a fun fat team Jordan's.
- 19:57Speaker 4: I would be on this particular I am in.
- 20:00Speaker 7: This particular too.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Yeah. I also like now chileading as hard as you know,
- 20:08Speaker 4: my mom was heavily involved in pop Warner chilling. So
- 20:11Speaker 4: I have, you know, a lot of respect for it,
- 20:14Speaker 4: and I don't. I think a lot of people that
- 20:18Speaker 4: maybe don't care about it. It's fine if you don't
- 20:21Speaker 4: like it. You don't have to like it, but you
- 20:22Speaker 4: don't have to criticize it. Yeah, and Winnie, I think
- 20:26Speaker 4: was being very critical of something that she didn't really
- 20:29Speaker 4: have any knowledge.
- 20:30Speaker 6: Didn't because Bridgewaters. I mean, I know that Bridgewater State.
- 20:32Speaker 6: It's always been very good at cheerleading. But I have
- 20:35Speaker 6: a lot of cheerleader friends. So okay, Yeah, that's why
- 20:40Speaker 6: you should know what you're talking about before you open
- 20:42Speaker 6: your mouth.
- 20:43Speaker 3: I hear the philosophy department is second to me.
- 20:46Speaker 6: Well, I mean.
- 20:49Speaker 7: Jerry said on that one, But all right.
- 20:52Speaker 3: H eight five five pass five hundred is the TPX
- 20:55Speaker 3: hotline podcasts at Patriots dot com. Is the email address
- 21:02Speaker 3: we have an apology to Paul. Yesterday we had an
- 21:05Speaker 3: emailer say that.
- 21:06Speaker 4: I'm just going to go out yeah and say that's
- 21:08Speaker 4: not necessary he had Paul.
- 21:10Speaker 3: He asked Paul for some career advice and Paul blocked him. Uh,
- 21:14Speaker 3: now he's calling back or writing back and says he
- 21:17Speaker 3: wants to apologize. Not sure whose account I actually DM,
- 21:21Speaker 3: but it is what it is, so it may not
- 21:23Speaker 3: have been you. Paul.
- 21:24Speaker 6: I didn't know you even had an Instagram.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Well I do, but I can't. No, no, it's not
- 21:30Speaker 4: a burner. I think it's my full name. I think
- 21:32Speaker 4: it's actually Paul dott Perol. But like I never I've
- 21:35Speaker 4: never used it.
- 21:36Speaker 6: Yeah, we should make you like, but I count up
- 21:39Speaker 6: for you.
- 21:40Speaker 3: He says, now that I'm asking the right person, do
- 21:42Speaker 3: you have any tips on journalism and how you got
- 21:44Speaker 3: into the industry and working for the team. I'd also
- 21:46Speaker 3: like to hear the rest of the crew store if
- 21:48Speaker 3: you have time. We don't.
- 21:49Speaker 4: My number one a piece of advice would be to
- 21:53Speaker 4: find another vocation.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Well, I know, I actually do you know? I I
- 21:57Speaker 3: do a lot of While we talked to young people
- 22:00Speaker 3: who are trying to get into the industry, the first
- 22:02Speaker 3: question I have is give me your definition of sports journalism,
- 22:06Speaker 3: because that's important these days it's changed.
- 22:08Speaker 4: My variation of that is why do you want to
- 22:11Speaker 4: be a sports journalist?
- 22:14Speaker 3: Right?
- 22:15Speaker 4: You know? Like the one of the best pieces of
- 22:18Speaker 4: advice I got when I was growing up is someone
- 22:20Speaker 4: said to me, why do you know, why do you
- 22:23Speaker 4: want to be a sports writer, because that's what I
- 22:25Speaker 4: you know, I wanted and you know, and I I answered,
- 22:29Speaker 4: is because I really enjoy writing. And then he said, stop,
- 22:33Speaker 4: that's the right answer because his feeling was so many
- 22:36Speaker 4: people that want to get into sports media because I
- 22:39Speaker 4: love sports, right, Which is great to be passionate about
- 22:43Speaker 4: the topic that you're you're you're going to be in,
- 22:45Speaker 4: but you need to be passionate about the elements of
- 22:48Speaker 4: the job, right. So I always felt like that was
- 22:51Speaker 4: a really good, definitely piece of advice that I got.
- 22:53Speaker 3: When I was a little kid. I oh, someday and
- 22:56Speaker 3: when I grow up, I'm going to work at disney World.
- 22:59Speaker 3: And now I realized that that wouldn't have been a
- 23:01Speaker 3: good idea because you know, I wanted to work this
- 23:05Speaker 3: I could go on the rides.
- 23:07Speaker 7: That's not what happens when you want to go to
- 23:10Speaker 7: games for free.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Right, right? Yeah, And we are going to Nashville, So
- 23:15Speaker 3: we do have people I know from all over the
- 23:19Speaker 3: country who are Patriots fans who are going to Nashville
- 23:22Speaker 3: because it is a good destination city to go to
- 23:24Speaker 3: a game. We have some recommendations for food. Peg Leg
- 23:29Speaker 3: Porker is one and Ed Lee's this person who is it,
- 23:38Speaker 3: Let's see, it's junior. I don't know, but he says
- 23:42Speaker 3: that's the best barbecue. But it's a twenty five minute
- 23:45Speaker 3: walk from Broadway. Martin's, he said, is good, which is
- 23:50Speaker 3: probably where I'm going to end up. But he says
- 23:54Speaker 3: barbecue in Nashville is overrated. He says you're better off
- 23:58Speaker 3: going for the tacos or text mechs. He says, they
- 24:01Speaker 3: do that really well there, and he mentioned st Ayejo,
- 24:05Speaker 3: which is a twenty minute walk from Broadway, and Redheaded
- 24:08Speaker 3: Stranger phenomenal and unique taco spot in the East.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 24:14Speaker 6: See, I never knew Nashville to be like for barbecue either.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Oh really in Tennessee, Memphis, Memphis. Oh that's true. Yeah,
- 24:22Speaker 3: And then he says, although.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Nashville hot chicken sandwiches different, thank.
- 24:26Speaker 3: You for bringing that up. He says, although not the
- 24:28Speaker 3: chop spot, Bolton's in the East has the best hot
- 24:31Speaker 3: chicken there you go, and Butcher and Bat in the
- 24:33Speaker 3: East is considered one of the best restaurants. Lastly, you
- 24:36Speaker 3: should try Daddy's Dogs when you're at the game on Sunday,
- 24:40Speaker 3: Get the Big Daddy.
- 24:41Speaker 7: Oh yeah, and.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Also get the Big Daddy.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Some information about the party at the Live Oak.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Person said it was a four minutes away from Broadway.
- 24:52Speaker 3: This person says that's misleading. It's actually a twenty five
- 24:56Speaker 3: minute walk from the main area of Broadway.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Excuse me, So right there, so some get you a bib.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Yeah, just some recommendations for people going to Nashville. I
- 25:08Speaker 3: think I'm going to go to Martin's.
- 25:10Speaker 4: That's a a Paul and Fred thing.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot going on at that Big Daddy's
- 25:14Speaker 1: hot dog place.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Yeah, we go to We'll go to a place and
- 25:17Speaker 4: we enjoy it. Yeah, and then people tell us about
- 25:20Speaker 4: eight other places yep, and say, yeah, but we just
- 25:23Speaker 4: got we went to that p is what we do.
- 25:26Speaker 7: What you like, you know, if you know, you like it,
- 25:28Speaker 7: if it's not broke.
- 25:29Speaker 4: That's why I'm not making fun of Fred. I know
- 25:31Speaker 4: if I was, if I was going, i'd be going
- 25:33Speaker 4: with it.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I can't get good ribs here, so I'm gonna go
- 25:36Speaker 3: there and they have good ribs. Yeah, so there you go.
- 25:39Speaker 6: I'm with it.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Big Pig Barbecue is pretty good.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Big Pig.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay, up in the North Shore.
- 25:46Speaker 6: I just had Terry Blacks.
- 25:47Speaker 3: I'm like ruined, ruined.
- 25:51Speaker 6: Terry Black's barbecue in Austin, Texas.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, never been to Austin.
- 25:59Speaker 6: Well, if you ever go to a U T game,
- 26:01Speaker 6: go to Terry Blacks.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Go to a UT game.
- 26:04Speaker 6: When you were there, we didn't go because Georgia was playing.
- 26:07Speaker 7: Uh that was two weeks ago.
- 26:09Speaker 6: Georgia was in town. So it was insane and we
- 26:11Speaker 6: aspired to go to a tailgate.
- 26:13Speaker 7: But it was so crazy that.
- 26:16Speaker 3: All right, Martin writes in from Quebec City. I've heard
- 26:20Speaker 3: you say a couple of times that you really don't
- 26:22Speaker 3: want to end up with the first overall pick because
- 26:24Speaker 3: we'd be stuck with it, and that the sweet spot
- 26:26Speaker 3: would be something like top seven. Other than all the
- 26:30Speaker 3: losses needed to get the first pick, are there any
- 26:32Speaker 3: other reasons why this wouldn't be a good thing for
- 26:35Speaker 3: the team.
- 26:36Speaker 4: No, I had no problem with it. They get the
- 26:38Speaker 4: first pick if it ends up that way. I'm just saying,
- 26:41Speaker 4: you don't have to have it.
- 26:42Speaker 3: You don't have to have it, And if you do
- 26:44Speaker 3: have the first pick and you don't need a quarterback,
- 26:47Speaker 3: you could end up overpaying for a guy who's not worth.
- 26:49Speaker 4: It, but you could also trade it. You could for
- 26:52Speaker 4: someone who does need to someone who does need a quarterback,
- 26:54Speaker 4: and maybe get some extra picks. Yeah, I don't really
- 26:57Speaker 4: have much fear of getting stuck with it, quote unquote,
- 27:00Speaker 4: but I'm just saying, not needing a quarterback allows you
- 27:04Speaker 4: to finish, you know, to get the fourth pick or
- 27:07Speaker 4: the eighth pick, And what's the big difference really? You know, Now,
- 27:10Speaker 4: obviously you want to have as high a pick as
- 27:12Speaker 4: you can organically. You don't want to have to root
- 27:15Speaker 4: for losses or anything like that, right. I want to,
- 27:18Speaker 4: you know, bring up something that you brought up yesterday
- 27:20Speaker 4: in the show, Fred, because you were, as usual with
- 27:23Speaker 4: a feel for the league ahead of the her. Wow,
- 27:26Speaker 4: what you remember when you asked me the question, like,
- 27:28Speaker 4: what about you know, just seeing Anderson tweet about the
- 27:32Speaker 4: Patriots potentially being buyers right at the trade deadline, and
- 27:35Speaker 4: you said, what about a tackle? You know, is there
- 27:38Speaker 4: some way maybe a tackle? You used Tyrone Smith as
- 27:40Speaker 4: an example, and I said, yeah, I mean I would
- 27:43Speaker 4: definitely be interested in that, but that'd be kind of
- 27:45Speaker 4: hard then, don't you know? A couple hours later, a
- 27:48Speaker 4: starting tackle gets traded from Jacksonville and Cam Robinson. So
- 27:53Speaker 4: you know, I'm not saying that I would have, you know,
- 27:55Speaker 4: bang down the door to get Cam Robinson. Obviously, Minnesota
- 27:58Speaker 4: has an urgency. They're five and two. They picked him up.
- 28:01Speaker 4: They lost their starting tackle and Christian Darisaw so they
- 28:04Speaker 4: made a move. But that's exactly the kind of trade
- 28:07Speaker 4: that you were talking about. Yeah, but I'd have been
- 28:09Speaker 4: interested in that.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Sure, as long as he can stay beyond this year.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Yeah, And I don't know for you know, I don't
- 28:15Speaker 4: know all the details of his contract. But even if
- 28:17Speaker 4: you you pick him up and then you have them
- 28:20Speaker 4: for half a season and you can sort of if
- 28:22Speaker 4: it's the money's right, yeah, you sell them on it
- 28:24Speaker 4: and see if you can.
- 28:25Speaker 3: And we're talking, it just be good to have him
- 28:28Speaker 3: here this year so that Drake can have a fair
- 28:31Speaker 3: shot at you know, being evaluated.
- 28:34Speaker 4: It would help. Yeah, Yeah, And you know, Vederian Lowe
- 28:37Speaker 4: is he's done okay filling in, He's miss He's missed
- 28:41Speaker 4: half the games, and I just think that you need
- 28:45Speaker 4: you need better, you need some mo Yeah. I would
- 28:49Speaker 4: either want a young guy that they drafted that they're
- 28:52Speaker 4: grooming to try to get there, or I would have
- 28:56Speaker 4: done the Fred route and either signed somebody in the
- 28:59Speaker 4: off season or look to acquire someone now. But you know,
- 29:03Speaker 4: I just thought that was interesting that freddie again ahead
- 29:06Speaker 4: of the curve, as always sniff Brian Robinson.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Brian Plymouth rites in before this year, we'd have heard
- 29:14Speaker 3: from the GM by now because Bill was head coach,
- 29:18Speaker 3: GM chief cook and bottle washer. Even if Bill wasn't answering,
- 29:22Speaker 3: he at least had to face the music. Wolf has
- 29:25Speaker 3: been absolutely silent. Do you think we will get some
- 29:28Speaker 3: availabilities from Elliott or others on the leadership team, especially
- 29:32Speaker 3: with Luce going, rumors percolating and heading into the trade deadline? Please, Paul,
- 29:37Speaker 3: please let the others respond before pointing out some hole
- 29:39Speaker 3: in my question.
- 29:41Speaker 4: I think that people have me so have me so wrong.
- 29:46Speaker 4: That's a great question. That's a great question.
- 29:48Speaker 3: I don't think that he There are some teams where
- 29:51Speaker 3: the GM talks regularly, right, does Yeah, I don't think.
- 29:56Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I don't think I need that myself.
- 29:59Speaker 4: But the trade deadline, you don't need to hear from
- 30:02Speaker 4: the guy who finish. I was.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Just gonna say, with the trade deadline coming up, I
- 30:10Speaker 3: would think this might be a good week to make
- 30:13Speaker 3: him available, well, or.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Monday, yeah, or after the trade deadline. Yeah, but around
- 30:18Speaker 4: I don't need him this week. I need him after
- 30:20Speaker 4: the trade deadline.
- 30:21Speaker 3: So, and I don't need him every week, No, I don't.
- 30:24Speaker 6: Maybe how do we acquire someone instead of dealing oushe? Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 6: come in, talk about why you wanted the sky, why
- 30:30Speaker 6: you made the move.
- 30:31Speaker 4: But Brian makes a really good point. And I'm not
- 30:33Speaker 4: just saying that because he was expecting me to jump
- 30:36Speaker 4: on him in the past trade deadline leading up to it,
- 30:42Speaker 4: when it happened in the aftermath, you're hearing from the
- 30:46Speaker 4: decision maker in Bill Belichick that's not the case anymore.
- 30:49Speaker 4: So I think you do need to adjust a little bit.
- 30:52Speaker 4: And we haven't heard from Elliott since training camp.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Yeah, Josh and Turner's fall. Oh look at this? Look
- 31:01Speaker 3: at this?
- 31:02Speaker 7: Look who's back from the locker room?
- 31:05Speaker 3: What was the mood where the player's friendly to that?
- 31:08Speaker 11: None of them looked.
- 31:09Speaker 7: Like Derek Henry Hay Mike.
- 31:11Speaker 6: What was it like in the locker room?
- 31:16Speaker 4: Hay Mike?
- 31:17Speaker 6: What was it like in the.
- 31:21Speaker 5: All right, are you supposed to be drew Bledsoe came back.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Actually, you look a little like a guy that was
- 31:32Speaker 4: in the stands on Sunday. I don't think it's only
- 31:35Speaker 4: ninety four.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Ninety four. We got your two and Drew blood Cell.
- 31:38Speaker 5: We're ready, We're gonna. I think we'll make the playoffs.
- 31:41Speaker 5: This year hasn't been a great start, but I'm feeling.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Pretty good, only because you're a stickler for the detail. Yeah,
- 31:46Speaker 4: that's actually ninety five.
- 31:48Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, I had to. I've been waiting
- 31:53Speaker 5: for this wig. I've had it for a while and
- 31:54Speaker 5: if you can see party party in the back, business
- 31:58Speaker 5: up front, but I had to hang on to this one.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Five and eleven and ninety five.
- 32:02Speaker 6: Is that the wig you are Brady video?
- 32:04Speaker 5: Yes? It was very good, very good. I Alex, this
- 32:07Speaker 5: has been with me for a long time. I couldn't
- 32:09Speaker 5: let this wig go away.
- 32:09Speaker 4: So the Brady Brady, I won't forget you.
- 32:12Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it's aut right, it's a beautif right, I know,
- 32:16Speaker 5: I won't sing, don't worry, that's beautiful.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Did Evan dress up? Should we be expecting anything.
- 32:22Speaker 5: From I don't. I don't know, and he might be
- 32:24Speaker 5: keeping it. Uh.
- 32:25Speaker 7: Last I heard from Evan, he seems like the button
- 32:27Speaker 7: up type to me.
- 32:28Speaker 4: He was on Playbook yesterday and John Rook asked them
- 32:31Speaker 4: what his favorite candy was, and Evan's response was why
- 32:36Speaker 4: really in the spirit he did not.
- 32:38Speaker 5: I have to say, my glasses are fogging up. So
- 32:40Speaker 5: I have a newfound respect for our pre game.
- 32:44Speaker 3: What is like? It's not hot?
- 32:45Speaker 5: He I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.
- 32:48Speaker 5: I guess we're lucky your readers ever.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Get fed up, And I agree with Fred, it doesn't.
- 32:54Speaker 4: It's not overly warm even today, it's it's unseasonably warm
- 32:57Speaker 4: here in in Foxboro, the door of any degrees.
- 33:01Speaker 5: I just got some uh some news that my son
- 33:04Speaker 5: in high school has some hives on his face and
- 33:06Speaker 5: he's on his way to the doctor right now. So
- 33:07Speaker 5: I don't know if that has to do with the heat.
- 33:09Speaker 3: But Paul to his son's got accepted into Citadel.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Oh really, yeah, Citadel.
- 33:15Speaker 3: So your son has hives?
- 33:20Speaker 12: I mean, you know, wow, you know, you know, I'm
- 33:24Speaker 12: very like torn about the I'm incredibly proud of this
- 33:31Speaker 12: is what he wanted to do, but obviously incredibly scared too.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Is that I think he's an officer.
- 33:38Speaker 4: So we'll see the other school the other schools that
- 33:40Speaker 4: he applied to, we haven't heard back from yet. The
- 33:43Speaker 4: Citadel is one of the early could They have ruling admissions,
- 33:47Speaker 4: so even like early early Action comes out quicker than
- 33:52Speaker 4: most of the other schools. So he hasn't heard from
- 33:54Speaker 4: the others. Maybe when we get all the financials, he
- 33:56Speaker 4: might change his mind. But we'll see.
- 34:00Speaker 5: There you go. Where's the Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina.
- 34:04Speaker 3: I think that's great coastal.
- 34:06Speaker 4: He's also one of the schools close to Carolina down there,
- 34:10Speaker 4: the University of South Carolina High Point. So there's a
- 34:14Speaker 4: lot of elon. There's a lot of schools he hasn't
- 34:16Speaker 4: heard from yet. You guys know, that's where he's going
- 34:18Speaker 4: down to Carolina somewhere. Did not apply to a single
- 34:22Speaker 4: school within New England.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Away, I'm leaving you did.
- 34:29Speaker 4: I'm very very excited for t J. I am very
- 34:33Speaker 4: very proud.
- 34:34Speaker 5: That's cool, and I'm hopeful my son's hives aren't a
- 34:36Speaker 5: big deal.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Speaking of hives, watched I'd watch your face.
- 34:43Speaker 5: That strap my wife. It's definitely smelling a little basement
- 34:49Speaker 5: giving you a hair brush for But if you stay
- 34:52Speaker 5: tuned for the second half of the show, it's reversibly also.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Two separate blood so shirty of that vintage classic. I
- 35:02Speaker 4: had a white and a and a blue.
- 35:05Speaker 5: Yeah, well, stay tuned for the second half. I'll switch
- 35:08Speaker 5: up for you guys. You want a real locker room.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Report, Yes, let's let's get to the locker.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Yeah. I talk to rookie Willie mc ginnis. Not just kidding.
- 35:14Speaker 5: I'll stop the.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Bit nou wearing a ninety.
- 35:19Speaker 5: We heard no. Vindarian Low came in and talked a
- 35:22Speaker 5: little bit about you know, the offensive line coming in,
- 35:25Speaker 5: coming in together, and you know, just I mean, it's
- 35:27Speaker 5: just the same thing every week. Now, it's consistency. It's
- 35:29Speaker 5: you know, trying to play good fundamentals and consistently do it,
- 35:33Speaker 5: snap in, snap out. So I am. He came and talked,
- 35:36Speaker 5: so I thought that was a good sign that he
- 35:38Speaker 5: should maybe be able to play. You know, usually those
- 35:40Speaker 5: guys are hidden. My grease was pressing him, but he
- 35:42Speaker 5: couldn't get it, couldn't get it out of them.
- 35:44Speaker 4: I have long since put that aside the whole If
- 35:49Speaker 4: he talks, he plays. There's been way too many examples
- 35:51Speaker 4: of both ways. They talk, they play, they talk they
- 35:54Speaker 4: don't play. So I now ignore that. But what I
- 35:59Speaker 4: don't ignore is ankle now and shoulder on the.
- 36:05Speaker 5: Injury, shoulder, knees and toes.
- 36:07Speaker 4: Yeah, so not good.
- 36:09Speaker 5: He's been dealing with a lot, he said. I mean
- 36:10Speaker 5: he's had a knee problem, he's had an ankle problem.
- 36:12Speaker 5: Now he's got a shoulder problem. Was there something else?
- 36:14Speaker 4: And I felt like when Gerard was asked about it yesterday,
- 36:17Speaker 4: you and I talked about this when we're going back
- 36:19Speaker 4: and forth to the press conferences. I thought Mayo sort
- 36:22Speaker 4: of you know, he was asked, you know, you know
- 36:25Speaker 4: how comforting it is to have that same group and
- 36:28Speaker 4: you know the possibility of keeping them together. And I
- 36:31Speaker 4: was really lukewalmar.
- 36:32Speaker 5: Right, right, I know that's yeah.
- 36:34Speaker 4: I mean yeah, I mean that's the idea. You'd like
- 36:36Speaker 4: to think you'd have five guys that could, you know, start,
- 36:39Speaker 4: But it didn't seem like overly confident.
- 36:41Speaker 5: No, it wasn't the vibe of like, hey, we finally
- 36:42Speaker 5: got our five in there for another week, like.
- 36:44Speaker 4: I think you'll probably try to give it a go.
- 36:47Speaker 4: Venerian Lowe will try.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Low will give it.
- 36:50Speaker 5: He'll give it a go. Marcus Jones too heard from him, Uh,
- 36:54Speaker 5: you know, wants to return a punt return of punp
- 36:57Speaker 5: for a touchdown. He felt like he let the guys down.
- 36:59Speaker 5: I wanted to yeah, and he said, you know, there's a.
- 37:02Speaker 4: Good chance in this game.
- 37:03Speaker 5: I don't know if you caught Pelgrino, but I guess
- 37:05Speaker 5: Pelgrena really wants him to to take a you know,
- 37:07Speaker 5: pick six back because if you just got to get
- 37:09Speaker 5: his hands on the ball there playing cornerback, he's you know.
- 37:12Speaker 4: He had the pick in the end zone against Houston.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Remember the reflection. It was like in the planet of
- 37:18Speaker 4: the end zone and flying out and he starts running
- 37:20Speaker 4: and someone I would blame them if I remembered who
- 37:24Speaker 4: Someone's like, what is he doing? And I'm like, what
- 37:26Speaker 4: do you mean? What is he doing? That's the best
- 37:27Speaker 4: offensive play they have? Get the ball on his hands.
- 37:30Speaker 4: I you make fun of me when I say this.
- 37:33Speaker 4: I I legitimately believe he's the most electric return guy
- 37:37Speaker 4: in the league. I think he's that good with the
- 37:39Speaker 4: ball in his hands. So if he gets an interception,
- 37:42Speaker 4: absolutely I agree with Peblo Greno. He's a threat to
- 37:45Speaker 4: take it back anytime.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Yeah, last last point, Drake was in the longer room,
- 37:48Speaker 5: so you know it looks like he'll be.
- 37:51Speaker 4: That I'm going to say, is a good sound.
- 37:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I just didn't see him, but yeah, brief.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Yeah, so what's any sense of the mood?
- 38:00Speaker 5: I was a little quieter today, just not as busy.
- 38:02Speaker 5: You know, sometimes there's days where it seems like all
- 38:04Speaker 5: the meetings end at once and everybody comes walking in
- 38:06Speaker 5: at once. But it was a little bit more sporadic today.
- 38:09Speaker 5: Some of them why why not? Why not? What about
- 38:13Speaker 5: my look?
- 38:14Speaker 4: I like the scruff you have going with ike.
- 38:18Speaker 5: I was gonna go to get a mustache. I thought
- 38:19Speaker 5: that might really complete the look.
- 38:22Speaker 4: But you definitely need to go tea with that.
- 38:24Speaker 6: That's all right, that's the one little patch though.
- 38:28Speaker 5: It Okay, that's right, I'll keep it up up.
- 38:32Speaker 3: It's getting a little hot on no socks emails the show.
- 38:34Speaker 3: He says, Deuce grow up?
- 38:39Speaker 5: Ma Was that because I was commenting about the glasses
- 38:41Speaker 5: flogging up? Oh?
- 38:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 38:43Speaker 5: Was that what it was?
- 38:44Speaker 4: Yes?
- 38:44Speaker 3: How dare you? Joshould Turner's falls mask writes in Out
- 38:50Speaker 3: your Way, he says, Stourbridge. You've been to Sturbridge, the
- 38:56Speaker 3: village b BT smoke house, really good englacement.
- 39:02Speaker 6: I do agree very much. I would say best barbecue
- 39:04Speaker 6: in the state.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Really, Yes, okay, I know where Sturbridge is, right off
- 39:09Speaker 3: of the turnpike.
- 39:10Speaker 5: Yeah, the village there. Yeah, old colonial thing.
- 39:13Speaker 7: I did that for a fifth grade field trip.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Churning butter and the like.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Thank you, Matt. I always appreciate when I've got a
- 39:20Speaker 4: chocolate of you.
- 39:24Speaker 5: It's a good show to Hey, it's Halloween candy.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Though, Let's see what else do we have. I don't
- 39:35Speaker 3: want to do an overrunder. Why not? Not not yet?
- 39:40Speaker 3: Adam and Adam and Virginia writes him. He says evans
- 39:45Speaker 3: recent tweet got me thinking of what kind of Monte
- 39:49Speaker 3: sweat like. Addition, the Patriots could make it the deadline,
- 39:52Speaker 3: I was wondering about Brown's left tackle Jedrick Wills. Normally
- 39:56Speaker 3: I'd say there's no chance they let him go, but
- 39:58Speaker 3: given their financial catastrophe with Watson, they may not be
- 40:01Speaker 3: in position to give him the big money extension to
- 40:04Speaker 3: likely command when his deal ends this year. Is this
- 40:08Speaker 3: at all realistic? And would you have interest? I think
- 40:10Speaker 3: this is the sweet spot.
- 40:11Speaker 4: I would have interest in it. I don't know. I
- 40:13Speaker 4: don't know what Cleveland situation is, what they're what they
- 40:16Speaker 4: think for him. But that's the kind of Yeah, that's
- 40:20Speaker 4: the kind of guy. I mean, you have a good,
- 40:22Speaker 4: proven commodity that's not you know, thirty five years old.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, part of the rebuild.
- 40:29Speaker 4: That's the Fred theory from yesterday.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Yep.
- 40:32Speaker 5: Do you think they have interest in or do you
- 40:35Speaker 5: think that they have interested in trying to stick with
- 40:37Speaker 5: the guys that they brought in initially to you know,
- 40:40Speaker 5: kind of prove that we believe in these guys and
- 40:42Speaker 5: you know, for better or worse, maybe you know, maybe
- 40:44Speaker 5: against better jazz position.
- 40:46Speaker 4: They didn't do that. They didn't bring anybody in.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Oh, I know, they still seem like they believe in
- 40:51Speaker 5: it though, you know, and so does it? Does it
- 40:53Speaker 5: if you go out and get somebody? Does it?
- 40:55Speaker 3: I know?
- 40:55Speaker 5: Well that's that's what that's kind of what I'm asking. Like,
- 40:57Speaker 5: I think we would all be on board for them
- 40:59Speaker 5: acquiring another I mean, they just depth alone. I mean,
- 41:01Speaker 5: Vederian Low has been no matter what you think of
- 41:03Speaker 5: him as a player, he's been banged up. He hasn't
- 41:04Speaker 5: been able to be consistently out there. So so for
- 41:07Speaker 5: that reason, yeah, it makes sense. But I also wonder
- 41:10Speaker 5: if they're just like, if we could just get our guys.
- 41:12Speaker 5: We really do believe in it, and we want to
- 41:14Speaker 5: show people that we had a plan and that it's gonna.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Okay, it's it's kind of hard to show people you
- 41:19Speaker 4: have a plan when your current line includes a guy
- 41:22Speaker 4: that was on someone else's practice squad three weeks ago.
- 41:25Speaker 4: You know, it's not really much of a plan.
- 41:28Speaker 13: No.
- 41:28Speaker 5: I mean, I hear you're saying, I'm just asking Scott Peters.
- 41:31Speaker 4: That's Scott Peters, right. I give Scott Peters a ton
- 41:34Speaker 4: of credit for, you know, holding it together, but this
- 41:39Speaker 4: is not a plan.
- 41:40Speaker 13: No.
- 41:40Speaker 5: I just I'm just curious that they look at it
- 41:43Speaker 5: the same we do the same way. You know, people
- 41:45Speaker 5: on the outside look like it's been really bad, and
- 41:47Speaker 5: you know, you think you have a chance to acquire
- 41:49Speaker 5: somebody like Minnesota did yesterday. Like, you know, that's something
- 41:53Speaker 5: makes sense to us. But maybe I just wonder if
- 41:55Speaker 5: it makes the same sense Fred.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Was on it.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Yeah, Claara Wites said, who everyone he ever? I mean,
- 42:01Speaker 3: do you guys think the two games against the Bills
- 42:03Speaker 3: being kind of close together is more likely to be
- 42:06Speaker 3: a positive or a negative for the Patriots, especially considering
- 42:10Speaker 3: how difficult it's meant to have the same O line together.
- 42:13Speaker 3: Ps Alex looks fantastic as what with handsome deuces, all
- 42:19Speaker 3: distinguished Fred. There's a lot of attractive over there today.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Evan wasn't back when I email, but I'm sure he
- 42:25Speaker 3: looks great too.
- 42:29Speaker 4: I don't I don't think it. The one thing that
- 42:32Speaker 4: could matter about Buffalo is sort of the notion that
- 42:37Speaker 4: a week eighteen game, right, they might not mean anything for.
- 42:40Speaker 5: Buffalo, especially with just one. By now it seems like
- 42:43Speaker 5: Kansas City's they keep the pace, they might run away
- 42:46Speaker 5: with that home field advantage. And then I don't know
- 42:49Speaker 5: if either of those games are really a.
- 42:51Speaker 4: Four or five game lead in the division and have
- 42:53Speaker 4: it all wrapped up.
- 42:55Speaker 5: And then they got to go to New England the.
- 42:57Speaker 7: Last game snowing, and like.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, terrible.
- 43:00Speaker 5: It feels like rest Josh Allen, you know, coming here
- 43:03Speaker 5: with an away game.
- 43:04Speaker 4: But otherwise, like the proximity of those two games that
- 43:07Speaker 4: I don't think has much of an impact on them.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Yeah, mal wrights in, he gives your outfit a ten
- 43:13Speaker 3: out of ten dues.
- 43:15Speaker 5: Right, A bro ninety five Patriots him. I should have
- 43:19Speaker 5: done my research. That's that's why I feel like I failed, because.
- 43:22Speaker 4: Now what's the difference? See if you can thing?
- 43:26Speaker 5: Do I have the soccer striping on this one? I
- 43:27Speaker 5: think was that.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Elvis on the shoulder and numbers numbers on the shoulders
- 43:33Speaker 4: and ninety four.
- 43:34Speaker 3: Justin says, loving Alex's outfit, but Mike has easily taken
- 43:38Speaker 3: the cake.
- 43:39Speaker 5: It's a mullet wake partner.
- 43:45Speaker 3: Who come?
- 43:46Speaker 5: I feel kind of like PFT comments are though, wearing sunglasses,
- 43:49Speaker 5: having big PFT with the bullet.
- 43:52Speaker 4: To hand, and Alex is back now talking about things
- 43:56Speaker 4: that I have no knowledge part.
- 43:59Speaker 7: Of my take.
- 43:59Speaker 5: Guy Okay, he's the funniest guy.
- 44:01Speaker 3: I don't know what what Gary's meaning here. He says,
- 44:04Speaker 3: Milton is the backup quarterback Sunday, right, So who was
- 44:07Speaker 3: the third emergency quarterback?
- 44:09Speaker 13: No?
- 44:10Speaker 3: If May plays, uh sets the backup May.
- 44:14Speaker 4: I think you're saying if May doesn't play, but then
- 44:17Speaker 4: you don't have a third quarterback. That's funny. It could
- 44:19Speaker 4: be like most of the other teams, it'll be Paul.
- 44:22Speaker 4: I think it would be Hunter, Henry, get your hands
- 44:24Speaker 4: under a butt, Hunter Henry throwing a lot of passes
- 44:26Speaker 4: a practice, but evidently been doing that all season.
- 44:30Speaker 5: He would always he'd hop in like the when they
- 44:32Speaker 5: do some of those competitions like trying to hit the
- 44:34Speaker 5: crossbar or trying to hit the you know, garbage bag.
- 44:37Speaker 6: Do you think it's more like actually practicing just in
- 44:39Speaker 6: case or more just like he No.
- 44:40Speaker 4: I think the fact that he's been doing it all year,
- 44:43Speaker 4: which I just learned yesterday, probably just tells me it's
- 44:48Speaker 4: it's what you said. He just kind of likes, you know,
- 44:50Speaker 4: playing around.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Around jeff in Canada rites in. I do believe that
- 44:55Speaker 3: the listeners could get behind a GoFundMe for Paul's new
- 44:58Speaker 3: car campaign. However, it would need to have a permanent
- 45:01Speaker 3: bumper sticker that reads, Hank, if you love InSync.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I actually do like InSync.
- 45:07Speaker 3: As for the game, because the team has been cautious
- 45:10Speaker 3: already with Drake out of day one and they're two
- 45:13Speaker 3: and six, it would seem odd to rush him back
- 45:15Speaker 3: to play in a meaningless game against the Titans and
- 45:18Speaker 3: risk a setback. Let him sit and maybe we even
- 45:21Speaker 3: see some Joe Milton in this game just because it
- 45:24Speaker 3: would be fun.
- 45:25Speaker 4: No, So why oh, I would just say this, like,
- 45:30Speaker 4: why if he plays, does that meaning he was rushed
- 45:33Speaker 4: back because there's only one way he can play, and
- 45:37Speaker 4: that's if he's cleared by depend symptom free right, and.
- 45:42Speaker 5: From like Giardi's tweet today, it doesn't sound like it
- 45:45Speaker 5: was a very like. It didn't sound like he really
- 45:47Speaker 5: had symptoms, and that was what Gardy was kind of
- 45:50Speaker 5: implying of. Didn't sound like he was suffering from a concussion.
- 45:53Speaker 5: It was kind of like he got popped and probably
- 45:55Speaker 5: didn't pass the test. But it just doesn't seem like
- 45:57Speaker 5: he's you know, in the dark room. I just a situation.
- 46:00Speaker 4: I don't have any idea about any of that. I
- 46:02Speaker 4: always take these things at face value. If a guy's
- 46:05Speaker 4: you know, deemed to have suffered a concussion, he suffered
- 46:08Speaker 4: a concussion. But if he's also deemed to be cleared,
- 46:12Speaker 4: I don't look at it as any better or worse
- 46:16Speaker 4: chances of another one coming.
- 46:18Speaker 11: Now.
- 46:19Speaker 4: I understand that when you get a concussion in general,
- 46:22Speaker 4: you're more susceptible to, you know, ensuing problems. They say,
- 46:27Speaker 4: that's what they say, right, But I'm not necessarily sure
- 46:30Speaker 4: that if I sufferre a concussion on Monday, I have
- 46:35Speaker 4: less of a chance if I wait two Mondays to play,
- 46:37Speaker 4: as opposed to one.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what I mean, And if you can play,
- 46:41Speaker 5: there's only nine games left in the season. These are
- 46:44Speaker 5: gold for him and this experience that he needs, and
- 46:46Speaker 5: he needs to play these teams and he, you know,
- 46:47Speaker 5: needs to get experience on the road. And I mean
- 46:50Speaker 5: it's with this this be like his first standard road
- 46:53Speaker 5: game as a starter. I would guess, right, right, I mean,
- 46:56Speaker 5: they know he's in England, but that's the road first
- 46:58Speaker 5: kind of yeah, but it's like kind of special circumstances.
- 47:00Speaker 5: You're there early. I mean this one, you're going in Saturday, right, Like,
- 47:04Speaker 5: I mean, you know, I know it's not Oh my god,
- 47:06Speaker 5: how does he deal with it? But it's just checking
- 47:08Speaker 5: boxes exactly.
- 47:09Speaker 3: And that's why I want him to play. Just the
- 47:12Speaker 3: more he plays, the better he'll have.
- 47:14Speaker 4: I'm just self experienced. I wanted to play because I
- 47:16Speaker 4: watch more fun.
- 47:17Speaker 3: I know me too, Robert writes in from Bellingham. I
- 47:20Speaker 3: just want to back up Paul and his dislike of
- 47:22Speaker 3: the Dodgers. I had the unfortunate experience of having to
- 47:26Speaker 3: live in l A for a couple of years. I
- 47:27Speaker 3: arrived in twenty eighteen, the year that Red Sox beat
- 47:30Speaker 3: them in the World Series. By striking out the world's
- 47:32Speaker 3: biggest chowed Manny Machado. I'll never forget their local news
- 47:36Speaker 3: complaining about what a dump Fenway is and how the
- 47:39Speaker 3: visiting team dug out smell like.
- 47:40Speaker 4: P Oh, that's accurate. I can tell you from being
- 47:43Speaker 4: in it.
- 47:44Speaker 3: I guess they hate historic landmarks. They literally complain about
- 47:48Speaker 3: this on their sports segment. They have an air of
- 47:50Speaker 3: superiority that makes any LA team fun to beat. Besides,
- 47:54Speaker 3: everyone knows that New England Sports is far superior to
- 47:58Speaker 3: LA sports. Thank god, I don't have to live in that.
- 48:00Speaker 7: Hellscape any of our LA colors.
- 48:04Speaker 6: But to talk about the scent of anywhere in Boston
- 48:08Speaker 6: compared to LA is just.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Fenway Park is among the most But it smells well.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Certain areas, I mean.
- 48:18Speaker 4: They one of them is the one he's talking about.
- 48:21Speaker 4: That vision I was talking about.
- 48:22Speaker 3: It's bad they used to have the troughs there in.
- 48:25Speaker 5: The Bathroomah oh yeah, yeah, it's right a passage.
- 48:28Speaker 4: I mean, there's nothing like that storage that comes up
- 48:30Speaker 4: from the dugouts when it's raining. When it rains a lot.
- 48:32Speaker 6: You see the concert footage recently of the rained out concerts,
- 48:35Speaker 6: and it's just all people in the tunnels and it's
- 48:37Speaker 6: just flooding like a waterfall.
- 48:39Speaker 4: That's not normal. I don't know, no, but the yeah,
- 48:44Speaker 4: the Boston, the Boston sports fan you know, the whole
- 48:47Speaker 4: Boston sports scene. I mean LA is not even not
- 48:50Speaker 4: even close. They're not even in the top hundred only
- 48:53Speaker 4: in the playoffs.
- 48:54Speaker 5: It's so different paratively, I know, it's so different. It
- 48:56Speaker 5: never made me mad. I mean even when the Celtics
- 48:58Speaker 5: are playing the Lakers in the finals and like oh eight,
- 49:00Speaker 5: like it never upset me. Like they just they don't care.
- 49:03Speaker 5: They get on the bandwagon and there's a lot, but
- 49:05Speaker 5: there's not the Felger and maz out there. There's none
- 49:08Speaker 5: of that kind of dynamic. It's you know, a team
- 49:10Speaker 5: gets good and then you know there's always diehards for
- 49:12Speaker 5: each team. There's Kings have diehards, the Dodgers have Diard are.
- 49:16Speaker 7: The best fan base of any LA fan base.
- 49:19Speaker 3: I mean, look at the LA Rams. It's like they
- 49:21Speaker 3: win the Super Bowl and like no.
- 49:23Speaker 6: One came, I know, and now it's just right back
- 49:25Speaker 6: people in Saint Louis do they even care anymore?
- 49:27Speaker 3: Right? You want to play a who am I game?
- 49:31Speaker 4: Sure?
- 49:31Speaker 3: So the way this works is I start giving you hints.
- 49:35Speaker 3: You can blurt out your answer at any time, but
- 49:39Speaker 3: once you are wrong, you cannot. You're out for that round.
- 49:42Speaker 4: So careful.
- 49:49Speaker 5: How do you say that?
- 49:51Speaker 3: First? One? I only won one Super Bowl with the Patriots,
- 49:55Speaker 3: so that could be a lot of people, right, I'll
- 49:57Speaker 3: move on. Two. I was drafted by three professional sports teams,
- 50:02Speaker 3: one NFL team and two Major League Baseball teams.
- 50:08Speaker 4: Lay correct? Correct?
- 50:12Speaker 3: I did not know time, next person. My twelve year
- 50:15Speaker 3: career spanned three teams, all in the a f C,
- 50:19Speaker 3: twelve years all in the AFC. Three teams. I played
- 50:23Speaker 3: in the backfield at Penn State. Eight. My lone Super
- 50:29Speaker 3: Bowl win came with the Baltimore Ravens in two thousand.
- 50:35Speaker 5: I figured the coach no damn it SA State.
- 50:40Speaker 3: I was drafted in the eighth round by the Patriots
- 50:43Speaker 3: in nineteen ninety two.
- 50:47Speaker 4: Twelve year career, so this is the era, Well, this
- 50:50Speaker 4: is the era. Twelve year career.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Yep, was it at Penn State.
- 50:56Speaker 4: Out of Penn State, played his whole career in the
- 50:59Speaker 4: AFC and won a Super Bowl with the two thousand
- 51:02Speaker 4: and I assume this is a Patriot.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Yep.
- 51:05Speaker 4: He was drafted in the eighth round, and he ended
- 51:06Speaker 4: up on the Ravens two thousand Super Bowl winners.
- 51:11Speaker 3: Parcels cried when he got hurt.
- 51:13Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Sam Gash, Sam Gash, Yeah, uh no points there,
- 51:20Speaker 4: you know, Fred gave it away.
- 51:21Speaker 3: I was elected to six Pro Bowls, all with the Patriots.
- 51:27Speaker 3: My final season with the team was in two thousand.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Bruce Armstrong correct.
- 51:35Speaker 3: And last one. My career spanned the course of six teams,
- 51:39Speaker 3: including a stop in Europe. While with the Patriots, I
- 51:45Speaker 3: attempted a total of one pass. I finished my college
- 51:50Speaker 3: career as the all time leading passer in University of
- 51:54Speaker 3: Washington history. And finally, I won a total of two
- 51:59Speaker 3: Super Bowl rings while with the Patriots. Deamon Hewart is korrect.
- 52:05Speaker 4: And then I thought it was Damon Hewart after the
- 52:07Speaker 4: second one. But I wasn't sure that he only attempted
- 52:10Speaker 4: one pass.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought he did more than that.
- 52:13Speaker 4: I did too.
- 52:14Speaker 3: Question for Alex. My wife and I just moved to Ludlow. Oh,
- 52:18Speaker 3: and I wondered if you had any tips on restaurants
- 52:20Speaker 3: we should prioritize. My wife is also from South Hadley
- 52:24Speaker 3: and said that the youth soccer scene that Ludlow was
- 52:26Speaker 3: pretty intense and wanted to know if you could verify
- 52:29Speaker 3: this very intense.
- 52:30Speaker 4: All the stories hours could tell, very intense.
- 52:33Speaker 6: Oh, we're talking about earlier like what got you into sports?
- 52:36Speaker 6: And honestly, it was like we're wanting to do this
- 52:38Speaker 6: as a career and it was kind of seeing how
- 52:40Speaker 6: our community rallied around the soccer teams.
- 52:43Speaker 7: It was pretty cool.
- 52:46Speaker 6: Prima Veda is the answer. It's on E Street, really good,
- 52:50Speaker 6: authentic Portuguese restaurant. There's a new spot that just opened too.
- 52:56Speaker 6: It's called like Barbarrito. I've been wanting to check out.
- 52:59Speaker 6: I would I would start with those two.
- 53:01Speaker 3: Okay, but Primavera, Primavera, all right. JM writes in Fred,
- 53:07Speaker 3: I didn't know Zolac was going to be joining you
- 53:09Speaker 3: on the show today. Deuce is a dead ringer.
- 53:11Speaker 5: I've gotten that before.
- 53:13Speaker 4: He has he can't confirm roundheaded.
- 53:16Speaker 5: I mean I don't, I don't. I don't have Scott's height,
- 53:19Speaker 5: but I do have his round head, okay. And the glasses.
- 53:23Speaker 5: I think the glasses helps it.
- 53:26Speaker 6: Just burp loudly and make just strange bodly noises.
- 53:32Speaker 3: Well, he'll be on the bus and you know, be
- 53:34Speaker 3: quiet and you'll just hear. Oh, he's just like wail,
- 53:38Speaker 3: you know, like for no reason, what is going on?
- 53:44Speaker 5: It's not going on.
- 53:46Speaker 3: Christian is l a on the t and the tp
- 53:48Speaker 3: X hotline. What's up? Christian? Are you out of going
- 53:51Speaker 3: to the parade?
- 53:52Speaker 4: You?
- 53:53Speaker 5: Thank you?
- 53:55Speaker 4: Hey?
- 53:55Speaker 14: So, So my question is, could we talked about what
- 53:58Speaker 14: journalism would you guys really do? For example, would you
- 54:01Speaker 14: guys go into Tennessee? Do you typically get there a
- 54:04Speaker 14: couple of days early where you can you have to
- 54:06Speaker 14: gut where you're gonna work. Maybe you get to go
- 54:08Speaker 14: and you know, check out the pity or do you
- 54:10Speaker 14: guys stay a couple of days half towards that work?
- 54:14Speaker 3: You guys, when we go where you say on a trip,
- 54:17Speaker 3: but he said no, for Tennessee, we would go on
- 54:19Speaker 3: Saturday and leave immediately after the game.
- 54:21Speaker 4: Yeah. In football, you're in and out of a city
- 54:25Speaker 4: in a day. Really, you get there typically the day
- 54:30Speaker 4: before a game and you leave either after the game
- 54:32Speaker 4: that night or the next morning. Now, obviously baseball it's
- 54:37Speaker 4: you know, the whole schedule is set up in series
- 54:40Speaker 4: and road trips. So you might have three straight three
- 54:43Speaker 4: game trips and you might go on a road trip
- 54:45Speaker 4: and be in Chicago, Kansas City, and you know, Dallas,
- 54:50Speaker 4: you know, and three three straight weekends. But football, you're
- 54:54Speaker 4: in and out now.
- 54:55Speaker 3: The exception to that is if you have a West
- 54:57Speaker 3: Coast game, you might leave on a Friday to kind
- 55:00Speaker 3: of get adjusted to the time change.
- 55:02Speaker 4: And if you have back to back West Coast trips,
- 55:04Speaker 4: sometimes the team stays out there, so you'd be out
- 55:06Speaker 4: there for a week. We've done We've done.
- 55:09Speaker 7: That in Miami a couple Miami.
- 55:12Speaker 4: We've gone early, Miami, Arizona, We've done some extended stays.
- 55:16Speaker 5: Remember that practice.
- 55:17Speaker 3: I think Miami went went early because Linda wanted to early.
- 55:20Speaker 3: I think that's why we want to see.
- 55:22Speaker 5: Her kill Bill uniform talking early up.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Josh is in Dallas. What's up, Josh?
- 55:29Speaker 11: Everyone?
- 55:30Speaker 15: I know it's Thursday, so we got a really hurried
- 55:32Speaker 15: but you are right, Titans week two and and but
- 55:36Speaker 15: I wanted to relish in the Jets win a little
- 55:38Speaker 15: bit longer. I'm not sure if you saw Mike Greenberg's
- 55:42Speaker 15: comments earlier in the week, but he said something along
- 55:44Speaker 15: the lines of he's obviously a big Jets omer that
- 55:47Speaker 15: this is like the biggest colossal failure in sports history
- 55:50Speaker 15: or something like that, And I was just curious what
- 55:54Speaker 15: you guys thought how this season affected Aaron Rodgers' legacy
- 55:58Speaker 15: long term. I think we've seen a lot of Hall
- 56:00Speaker 15: of Fame athletes and in any sport go to a
- 56:03Speaker 15: different team and maybe just kind of have a mediocre
- 56:06Speaker 15: season and retire. But him kind of being at the
- 56:09Speaker 15: center of all of the organizational dysfunction as well as
- 56:13Speaker 15: the expectations going into the season, I feel like really
- 56:16Speaker 15: affects what his legacy is going to be. And to
- 56:19Speaker 15: make it Patriots related, if Bill were to coach next
- 56:21Speaker 15: year and something similar to happen with some sort of
- 56:24Speaker 15: organizationational power struggle and bad expectations, how that could affect
- 56:29Speaker 15: his legacy too.
- 56:33Speaker 4: I mean, as much as I would like to see
- 56:36Speaker 4: it really hurt Aaron Rodgers' legacy, I don't think it will.
- 56:40Speaker 4: I mean, I think everything you said, Josh is absolutely right.
- 56:43Speaker 4: I think he's been terrible and I think he's a
- 56:45Speaker 4: big part of the reason why it's failed. And I
- 56:48Speaker 4: saw something that our buddy rich Semini, who we had
- 56:51Speaker 4: on the show on Sunday, Mike can't take you seriously,
- 56:56Speaker 4: rich Semini has did a pretty thorough breakdown of like
- 57:00Speaker 4: sort of the last three weeks of just utter chaos
- 57:06Speaker 4: that has completely unraveled the entirety of the Jets season,
- 57:10Speaker 4: putting it all on Woody Johnson and obviously Rogers, and
- 57:15Speaker 4: comparing it to like, was it the twenty eleven Eagles
- 57:18Speaker 4: and you know some of those Washington teams that Daniel
- 57:21Speaker 4: Snyder tried to buy, and just this is right on
- 57:25Speaker 4: par with any of the biggest failures in recent NFL history.
- 57:31Speaker 4: You know, when you load up and win, win in
- 57:33Speaker 4: the offseason and get all that stuff and it just
- 57:35Speaker 4: doesn't work out. I think there's a lot of examples,
- 57:38Speaker 4: and Fred will be on board with this. There's a
- 57:41Speaker 4: lot of examples of great players, Hall of Fame players
- 57:45Speaker 4: that went to another team late in your career and
- 57:48Speaker 4: it was a disaster and no one else, you know,
- 57:51Speaker 4: no one ever talks about EMMITTT. Smith's year with the Cardinals.
- 57:54Speaker 4: No one really ever talks about Johnny unit Is finishing
- 57:57Speaker 4: with the Chargers with the Rams, right, Like, I think
- 58:00Speaker 4: that this ultimately will be a blip on the radar
- 58:03Speaker 4: for Rogers. I hope it's not because I don't like
- 58:07Speaker 4: Rogers and I'd like to see this sort of stick
- 58:09Speaker 4: to him a little bit more. But my guess is,
- 58:12Speaker 4: you know, it's the Jets. Ten years from now, people
- 58:15Speaker 4: are going to say Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers one
- 58:18Speaker 4: of the all time greats. They're not going to say
- 58:20Speaker 4: Aaron Rodgers. You know, he was a bum with the Jets,
- 58:24Speaker 4: just like Brett Favre. Yeah, you know, well a lot
- 58:27Speaker 4: the stink of the Jets doesn't stick with Brett Farr,
- 58:29Speaker 4: the stink of him, you know, swindling the state of Mississippi.
- 58:32Speaker 5: But that's just funny with Farvest, Like he didn't have
- 58:35Speaker 5: any success with the Jets, and then he went to
- 58:37Speaker 5: Minnesota and had like what's in the NFC Championship with him?
- 58:39Speaker 5: But I think he'll all just point to the Jets now,
- 58:42Speaker 5: you know, like Ers are.
- 58:43Speaker 3: Going back Jets. A lot of people are going back
- 58:45Speaker 3: to Rogers's career with the Packers have said they should
- 58:48Speaker 3: have been better.
- 58:49Speaker 4: Of course they should.
- 58:50Speaker 3: Yeah, she got more and now we know why they weren't.
- 58:53Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a dink.

- 1:01:06Speaker 16: now me it's next for residential delivery only.
- 1:01:12Speaker 9: Good morning, you know, just like every Wednesday. You know
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: I always tell the players that's when it's an opportunity
- 1:01:22Speaker 9: for us to change the page, which we have done,
- 1:01:25Speaker 9: Like we wrapped up all the Jets stuff, went through
- 1:01:27Speaker 9: the corrections, and now it's all about the Titans, which
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: I think is important. You know, when I look at
- 1:01:32Speaker 9: that team, it's a team that they're really in a
- 1:01:35Speaker 9: similar situation as us. You know, they have good players,
- 1:01:39Speaker 9: they have a good scheme. They just haven't been able
- 1:01:41Speaker 9: to put it together as far as a record is concerned.
- 1:01:44Speaker 9: Now I'm saying that, I mean they have talent all
- 1:01:46Speaker 9: across the board. Like you look at their defense, it
- 1:01:49Speaker 9: just starts with the front. They have a lot of
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: good players up front, and it starts with Simmons, and
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: he's one of those guys that's a huge disruptor. You
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: go to the second and third level, you see a
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: lot of guys with speed and flying around. I would
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: also say they're a little bit unpredictable as far as
- 1:02:05Speaker 9: the play calling on the defense side of the ball,
- 1:02:06Speaker 9: which is a huge challenge for us, and as I
- 1:02:09Speaker 9: always say, we have to be able to see the
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: same picture through the same set of goggles. Moving on
- 1:02:16Speaker 9: to the offense again, you know a little bit of
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: uncertainty at the quarterback spot, which is always difficult to
- 1:02:22Speaker 9: prepare for teams that you know that have that uncertainty
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: at the quarterback spot. They have two different skill sets
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: and saying that they've both won games in this league
- 1:02:31Speaker 9: when you look at their running backs, to me, it's
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: a fantastic one two punch. Expect to see both of
- 1:02:39Speaker 9: those guys and they can hurt you in the run game.
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: They can also hurt you in the past game. And
- 1:02:43Speaker 9: they also have some big bodies up front. There's no
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: question you know, as you go through the film, like
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: you know, Zero Ridley, there's no question why he was
- 1:02:52Speaker 9: one of the top free agents and everyone wanted an
- 1:02:54Speaker 9: opportunity to have them on their roster. You know, this
- 1:02:58Speaker 9: is a guy who is heavily targeted. At the same time,
- 1:03:01Speaker 9: he's opened a lot on film. Sometimes doesn't get the ball,
- 1:03:04Speaker 9: but he is opened a lot on film. And that's
- 1:03:06Speaker 9: going to be a challenge. And we talk about marrying
- 1:03:08Speaker 9: up the rush and the coverage, and that's what we're
- 1:03:10Speaker 9: going to continue to preach, you know, for our team.
- 1:03:13Speaker 9: For ne EP, it's you know, I think it's pretty
- 1:03:16Speaker 9: clear how we have to win games, and I think
- 1:03:18Speaker 9: it starts with the turnover battle first of all, and
- 1:03:20Speaker 9: we had some opportunities last week. Not to harp on those,
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: but we have to take advantage if we want to
- 1:03:26Speaker 9: get out of Tennessee with the win. Defensively and offensively,
- 1:03:29Speaker 9: we have to continue to protect the ball. Even though
- 1:03:31Speaker 9: we are one of the top teams in the league.
- 1:03:34Speaker 9: As far as protecting the ball, we've had the football
- 1:03:37Speaker 9: on the ground way too many times. Even though we
- 1:03:39Speaker 9: recovered those fumbles, it's just been way too many times.
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: And so those are things that we have to clean up.
- 1:03:44Speaker 9: I'm sure there'll be a lot of questions about Drake.
- 1:03:47Speaker 9: Drake is in the protocol or he's in the protocol,
- 1:03:49Speaker 9: and he will be a limited participant today in practice.
- 1:03:53Speaker 9: So in saying that, yeah, he will throw the ball
- 1:03:56Speaker 9: at times in practice today, but he will be limited.
- 1:03:59Speaker 9: There are people a lot smarter than me as far
- 1:04:02Speaker 9: as clearing people with concussions, and we'll lean on our
- 1:04:07Speaker 9: medical professionals and also the NFL league policy as far
- 1:04:11Speaker 9: as getting him ready to play. I do have confidence
- 1:04:14Speaker 9: that you know, as soon as if the league says
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: he's ready to play, that he will be able to
- 1:04:18Speaker 9: go out there and operate. In saying that, I feel
- 1:04:21Speaker 9: very comfortable putting Jacoby in there as he is a
- 1:04:26Speaker 9: professional and always stays ready, as you could see from
- 1:04:30Speaker 9: the last game. So however that plays out, we'll see.
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: But excited for another opportunity to go out there and
- 1:04:35Speaker 9: continue to get better. And I said, you know, as
- 1:04:38Speaker 9: we continue to progress, you know, as this season goes on.
- 1:04:40Speaker 9: We want to be better as the season goes on
- 1:04:43Speaker 9: and be one of those teams that no one wants
- 1:04:45Speaker 9: to play at the end of the year. And that's
- 1:04:46Speaker 9: our goal.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: I know, he said, But you said at half times
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: you saw Drake and said he wanted to play, and
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: you seen him, and what's his spirits like?
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: And how does he look to you?
- 1:04:57Speaker 9: Yes, spirits are good. The spirits are good. They were
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: good after the game. He actually threw a couple of
- 1:05:01Speaker 9: dimes even after the hit, so uh he was he
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: was upbeat.
- 1:05:06Speaker 14: Logistically, what are some of the challenges create how they
- 1:05:09Speaker 14: this type of situation?
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: What a two weeks to be in search of the
- 1:05:11Speaker 9: quarterback com I mean, we treated as any other injury.
- 1:05:15Speaker 9: And I would say like having a veteran quarterback like
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: Jakobe kind of kind of puts us at ease.
- 1:05:19Speaker 11: Can you kind of clarify who kind of flagged the
- 1:05:22Speaker 11: hit to be chat it.
- 1:05:25Speaker 9: Was from up top, the spotter. Yeah, it was the spotter.
- 1:05:29Speaker 11: And and you said, like Drake at halftime was kind
- 1:05:31Speaker 11: of like.
- 1:05:33Speaker 17: He was.
- 1:05:36Speaker 9: That's from my understanding, and when I spoke to him,
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: he seemed like he was okay. But again, like like,
- 1:05:41Speaker 9: I'm not an expert in evaluating head injuries, and the
- 1:05:44Speaker 9: spoter identified it, and we just at that point lean
- 1:05:48Speaker 9: on the league and their policy. You know what step
- 1:05:52Speaker 9: he's in, And I'm not sure exactly what step he's in,
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: but I know he will be at practice to.
- 1:05:59Speaker 11: That if he gets clear.
- 1:06:02Speaker 10: Concern.
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: Yeah, I don't want to get into like if he
- 1:06:06Speaker 9: gets cleared. I mean, as you guys all know, like that,
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: stuff can change in a single minute, and so it's
- 1:06:12Speaker 9: difficult to to kind of get into that, Uh, if
- 1:06:14Speaker 9: he gets cleared. We we do have practice players of
- 1:06:21Speaker 9: the week. I'll give them to you. Yeah, I'll give
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: them to you on Thursday.
- 1:06:24Speaker 10: Where is it stand with the wide receiver group, especially
- 1:06:27Speaker 10: after last Sunday?
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: And what's the confidence level kind of right now?
- 1:06:31Speaker 9: Again, you know, every week it's its own weekend. You know,
- 1:06:33Speaker 9: we had a great meeting this morning, a great team
- 1:06:36Speaker 9: meeting this morning and pretty much you know you have
- 1:06:39Speaker 9: to clean You have to clean those things up if
- 1:06:41Speaker 9: you want to be a good football team. And they
- 1:06:43Speaker 9: understand that. And I would also say that those guys
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: have caught thousands or tens of thousands of balls over
- 1:06:50Speaker 9: their career. And I'm not talking about the NFL. I'm
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: saying like even from a little kid, and to me,
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: it's just about continue to push forward and look if
- 1:06:57Speaker 9: your hands, if you don't have the confidence in your hands,
- 1:06:59Speaker 9: what can you You got to ask yourself the question
- 1:07:01Speaker 9: what can I do to help our team win, whether
- 1:07:03Speaker 9: it's you know, blocking or whatever. And they come in bunches.
- 1:07:06Speaker 9: So I think those guys will be okay.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: Challenge for Alex help you in terms of having uncertainty
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: around the quarter guys in the game when.
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: That you do the difference.
- 1:07:17Speaker 9: Yeah, I would say there are core concepts in general
- 1:07:20Speaker 9: that all of the quarterbacks have to know, especially on
- 1:07:24Speaker 9: early down. I would say, as soon as you know,
- 1:07:27Speaker 9: even though Drake will be a limited participant today, hopefully
- 1:07:31Speaker 9: as we continue to go forward the plays like we
- 1:07:34Speaker 9: have to see where how the how the process goes,
- 1:07:37Speaker 9: but hopefully we get to a point in the week
- 1:07:39Speaker 9: where we can just kind of, you know, iron out
- 1:07:42Speaker 9: the details on who's the quarterback.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: World of deligated question, but I hope you get your
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: take on the trade of job.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: This year.
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: How you see kind of the password the cover that.
- 1:07:54Speaker 9: Yeah, Look, Josh is one of the first guys that
- 1:07:58Speaker 9: you know, I spent a lot of time watching a
- 1:07:59Speaker 9: lot of film when he was in college and we
- 1:08:02Speaker 9: have you know, we still have a great relationship. I
- 1:08:04Speaker 9: think it's it's better for both of us. And look,
- 1:08:07Speaker 9: I wish him nothing but the best, but I think
- 1:08:09Speaker 9: it's I think it's best for both teams.
- 1:08:11Speaker 13: Drives related to that, do you feel compelled in any
- 1:08:14Speaker 13: way ahead.
- 1:08:15Speaker 18: Of the trade deadline to have individual conversations with players
- 1:08:17Speaker 18: or address it in a larger of the team meeting.
- 1:08:20Speaker 9: To me, like, you know, the guys in there understand
- 1:08:22Speaker 9: professional football and they understand this time of the year.
- 1:08:25Speaker 9: I would say from our perspective as an organization, we're
- 1:08:27Speaker 9: always trying to get better, whether that's to bring players
- 1:08:31Speaker 9: in or audition through subtraction, and we have to both
- 1:08:33Speaker 9: look in the short term and also in the long term.
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: If you guys.
- 1:08:36Speaker 18: Are in sorts of you know, your organizational trajectory your rebuilding.
- 1:08:41Speaker 18: Would you be reluctant to deal away guys might have
- 1:08:45Speaker 18: valued other teams, but are a lack of better directly
- 1:08:48Speaker 18: program guys, you know, like good influences in your opinion,
- 1:08:51Speaker 18: than the lock row.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08:53Speaker 9: Look to us, it's always like we're in the business
- 1:08:55Speaker 9: of bringing in good players and keeping our good players.
- 1:09:00Speaker 9: I think you bring up an interesting point as far
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: as like the culture guys, and I do think that's important.
- 1:09:05Speaker 9: I also would say I think it's important with the
- 1:09:06Speaker 9: coaches as well to bring in guys that really believe
- 1:09:08Speaker 9: in the culture and where we're trying to go, So
- 1:09:10Speaker 9: that definitely we take those things into consideration.
- 1:09:12Speaker 13: You anticipate there being more moves or players trade about
- 1:09:16Speaker 13: thee roster finals.
- 1:09:17Speaker 9: Union, I'm sure. I mean, they'll always be moved throughout
- 1:09:19Speaker 9: the league. Again, I'm not sure how active or and
- 1:09:23Speaker 9: Active will be.
- 1:09:26Speaker 17: Back to quarterback if Drake can't go and you do
- 1:09:29Speaker 17: start Jacoby, But is there any consideration bringing another quarterback
- 1:09:33Speaker 17: or do you expect to.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: Be at the backup.
- 1:09:37Speaker 9: Yeah, I expect Joe Milton to be the backup if
- 1:09:39Speaker 9: Drake can't play.
- 1:09:41Speaker 10: A pay Kaden Wallace returning to practice this.
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: Week Kaden Wallace will not be at practice this week.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: So I thought of.
- 1:09:48Speaker 18: Marcus Jones and what mints He's a special ty them
- 1:09:52Speaker 18: the defense, but a big and both weapons.
- 1:09:54Speaker 9: Can he be a specialistic Yeah, Marcus, even though he's
- 1:09:57Speaker 9: a defensive player, he's one of the most explosive players
- 1:10:00Speaker 9: in the league when he has the ball on his hands.
- 1:10:02Speaker 9: And I would say even if you go back throughout
- 1:10:05Speaker 9: the course of the season, there were times where he
- 1:10:07Speaker 9: was very close to popping one and saying that it's
- 1:10:10Speaker 9: not all about Marcus, I would say those guys that
- 1:10:12Speaker 9: block for him have also done a good job. Even
- 1:10:14Speaker 9: on that big return, you know, Hasty threw a block
- 1:10:17Speaker 9: that really took out three people and allowed him to
- 1:10:19Speaker 9: really turn the corner. So looking forward to keeping that goal.
- 1:10:23Speaker 18: Just to go back to the trade that life first
- 1:10:25Speaker 18: one for you and Elliott and the chairs that you
- 1:10:27Speaker 18: guys are in now so sup for you.
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: It's it's super for us.
- 1:10:30Speaker 18: Covered How often are you having conversation with him about
- 1:10:35Speaker 18: guys who white Dell calls, that made the proms, has
- 1:10:37Speaker 18: fielded those types of things.
- 1:10:39Speaker 9: We speak every day, We speak every day. I try
- 1:10:42Speaker 9: to give him, you know, part of our game plan
- 1:10:44Speaker 9: on the football side, and we talk about the roster
- 1:10:46Speaker 9: every single day.
- 1:10:47Speaker 18: Is like the draft and that you know, you guys
- 1:10:48Speaker 18: pre open Elliott's got, you know, the final say when
- 1:10:51Speaker 18: it came to who was being picked.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Is at the same case now with the trade them.
- 1:10:55Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, look, we look at the players, his
- 1:10:57Speaker 9: staff looks at the players, the coaches look at their
- 1:10:59Speaker 9: individual position, and we make a decision that's best for
- 1:11:03Speaker 9: the for the organization.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: He learned about Chris.
- 1:11:05Speaker 13: J andzalas you know, through like that game and said
- 1:11:08Speaker 13: that he didn't know, you know, going into the season.
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: Just coulda playmore.
- 1:11:11Speaker 9: I guess you know, for me, like what Gonzo is
- 1:11:14Speaker 9: doing is what we fully expected them to do.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:11:18Speaker 9: The funny thing, Look, he's a quiet guy, but he's
- 1:11:20Speaker 9: a competitor. Did you you listen to the micd up?
- 1:11:22Speaker 9: That's the most you're gonna get from that guy. But
- 1:11:25Speaker 9: he's a guy that goes out there and plays hard
- 1:11:27Speaker 9: every day, and he's a great competitor.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: And now great moments in history.
- 1:11:37Speaker 17: Andrew used to go to the same gym as Andy
- 1:11:39Speaker 17: Hart right now and run over here. So we'd see
- 1:11:42Speaker 17: him every morning before work. So he said one day
- 1:11:45Speaker 17: at the gym. There's this guy and there was a
- 1:11:47Speaker 17: boxing one of those big boxing bags and the guy
- 1:11:50Speaker 17: was like hitting it really hard and grutting and whatever
- 1:11:53Speaker 17: and like making a big scene. And he was like
- 1:11:55Speaker 17: six point thirty in the morning, like what is this
- 1:11:57Speaker 17: guy doing? So he was about to go to Andy
- 1:11:59Speaker 17: and be like check out this guy. And then all
- 1:12:02Speaker 17: of a sudden, Andy, as soon as the guy was done,
- 1:12:05Speaker 17: Andy went over and he started doing the same thing
- 1:12:09Speaker 17: to the bag and Andrew. Andrew was like, he was like,
- 1:12:13Speaker 17: I was literally like seconds away from being a heye, check.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: Out this guy. So that's part of Andy's routine that
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: he never really told us about a heavy bag. We
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: didn't know that that was something he uses, the heavy bag.
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: And Andrew was about to make fun of the other guy, so.
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: He must have to stand really close with those short Yeah,
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: that's another great moment from back here on Patriots Unfiltered
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: eight five five Pat's five hundred is the Ace ticket

- 1:13:14Speaker 4: Now on the road again.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: I'm surprised back then they didn't actually make the players
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: where reverse. I want to save money.
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: Bro makes it easy. It's a little thicker though.
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: You know who was the owner when they wore that
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: shirt one, James worthline. Who was the owner when they
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: wore that.
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: Well, you just bought it, baloney Sandwich Carrol.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: Yeah, this is good. I don't need these uniforms back though.
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: He's just not He's not good for me. Uh.
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: Tim writes in It's such a relief to know that
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: guys like Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Judge, and Garrett Cole can
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: rack up as many regular season accolades as they want,
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: but they will always choke when the lights are brightest.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: I never had a doubt that the Jets would crash
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: and burn this season, and I never thought that the
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Yankees had any chance at this World Series. Those are
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: two soft teams.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: Yeah, so there you go. New York is, sirat Fred, New.
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: York is soft.
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: How's your Judge now?
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: I like Aaron Judge.
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: Did he break out of his slumpet on.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: A little bit in the last couple of games too late?
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: He dropped a routine ball I saw play, where as
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: routine a play as I've ever seen a Major League
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: baseball player not make.
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, And kind of the same thing with the
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: was it Cole didn't cover first on that on that one.
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: A comedy of errors the whole the whole inning that
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: you get off hit and then Judge dropped a fly ball.
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: Then there was a ground ball to show it. They
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: threw a third and vulte we threw it into the ground.
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: So Bassis loaded no Out's up five to nothing. He
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: strikes out Otani, strikes out No he struck out Gavin
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: locks for the first out. Then he struck out Otani
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: and he's got Mookie Betts and he hits this little
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: dribbler to first base.
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: But I had a lot of spin on he.
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: Cole didn't cover first, so all we had to do
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: was run four more strides and he's out of this.
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: Basis loaded no outs with no runs and they're up
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: five to nothing. The game's over because he was pitching
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: lights out and he didn't. He didn't cover first, so
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: now it's five to one. Freeman singles into to make
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: it five three turn and doubles into five to five.
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: You loose.
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: Yeah, you cost him probably another inning that he would
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: have been able to pitch easily.
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: I just couldn't stay up. I turned it off after
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: five nothing. I said, all right, they're gonna win.
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: And then I woke up.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: I said, hey, Alexa, who won the Yankees game last night?
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: And she told me and I was like wow, and
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: she's like, yeah, that's what happened. I love.
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: My wife gets mad at Alexa Ca. We have the
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: voice activated lights and stuff in the house and like
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: she she doesn't do it like Leona. Just pick Alexa,
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: like she'll.
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: Get you know, like that's how I voiced text will yeah, yeah.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: Yell it.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: Like he can hear it.
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: Just turn here. I'm sorry.
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: Uh, Kyle and Pembroke's mad at me because I didn't
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: do his over under game and I skipped over it
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: to do who am I? So I'll do his over undergame.
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: Well good for you, Kyle.
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Kyle says Fred. Please don't ignore it, please, Okay,
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: I won't. I will not be ignored Drake May total
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: touchdowns twenty four and a hey what Drake May total
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: touchdowns twenty four?
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: And a hey, under under?
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: I mean for the season.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: Oh wait, well he's got five.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: Yeah, but there's only left six.
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: He's got six right, five touchdown passes in a touchdown
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: runs game.
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: Oh, okay, total for runs.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: So that's six. He's got nine games left. Yeah, it's
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: not a bad number.
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: No, well, it's making me think. Now, first, I kind
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: of I'm going to say for just to have fun.
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: I don't know, I'm gonna say under.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna say under nder.
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: He got six and three games.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Drake May passing yards three thousand point five, So
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: you get the hook.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: Three thousand?
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: Yeah, how many you got?
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: Now that on your I'll take the under on that.
- 1:17:20Speaker 5: I think so too.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: He's got five hundred and sixty four Oh.
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: Geez in three games he's got so he's doing about
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: two hundred. Nah, I don't think so.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: Yeah, so he needs another twenty five hundred in nine games.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: Do the math.
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: Game?
- 1:17:40Speaker 5: No, you do it less than three hundred though?
- 1:17:42Speaker 12: So yeah?
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: Yeah, but are you not crazy?
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: I just don't think he's gonna play all the games. Right.
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: Oh, I hate when you say that.
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: Gonzo interceptions three and a hay under.
- 1:17:52Speaker 5: Yeah, they don't throw on him, it's too good.
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: Yeah, they've thrown at him quite a bit.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: Patriots pass catchers with five hundred receiving yards two and
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: a hay.
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: Oh geez, and a under with two of them under.
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll say they'll have one.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but if he goes if Drake, if you said
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: Drake over three thousand, then maybe you have to consider that, right.
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: Steve how many five hundred, five hundred yards? Oh yeah,
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: I'll take the over.
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: Stevenson rushing touchdowns nine and a hay, how many.
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: Five? Yeah, you could say, I'll say over that.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: Yeah, Stevenson rushing yards nine hundred and fifty.
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: Over on that too. Yeah, he's got four hundred and
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: twenty two.
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: Yeah, he's gotta get going.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: And nowadays, you know, with seventeen games, thousand yard seasons
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: aren't really what they used to be, you know, No, yeah,
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: you know now, I think fourteen hundred is kind of.
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: Kind of the same with three thousand threat yard passing seasons, right, Like,
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: didn't that.
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: Eight thousand nothing thousand, four thousand bench? Yeah exactly, I
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: mean that seventeen game, you can get five thousand.
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: Yeah, wow, that's crazy, which a couple of people did
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: right now.
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: I don't think anybody did it last year though. The
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: yards has kind of been going down with the you
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: know the cover two yeah two deep too high safety.
- 1:19:16Speaker 5: Look, you don't know what you're talking about, Tony.
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: And boundary safety, post safety.
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: You know you can't just say words.
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: Tony and Potter uk Uh, Tony says, loving Mike's look today.
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: Would you rather look right there, look at that?
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: Wow?
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: Win another four? Would you rather win another four games
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: but see little progress? Or win no more wins but
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: the shackles are off and the team pushes the limits
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: on O and D to try schemes, plays, et cetera,
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: with no pressure on them, with no pressure on them
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: not coming off like the wins.
- 1:19:55Speaker 5: Yeah, me too. I don't know some of these questions.
- 1:19:57Speaker 4: I feel like I see little progress in the wins,
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: but progress, But I don't care if the shackles are off.
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: If I'm not winning any games, I haven't made any progress. Yeah,
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: I want to win some games.
- 1:20:07Speaker 5: Hard, that's like the like logically, it's hard to with
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: some of these questions. How does this all happen like
- 1:20:12Speaker 5: they lose a bunch of games, but they're thrown all.
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: Over the place. Well, Tony says, for me, I'm no win,
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: but understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the team from
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: just trying things, this will help the team better understand
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: the gaps and the squad and who they want to
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: offer contract extensions to. So that's his opinion. Okay, and
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: back is Evan Evans. Evan, I'm a little disappointed that
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: you didn't wear a costume, or maybe that is that's
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: supporting exactly.
- 1:20:55Speaker 11: I'm just dressed as Kyle Shanahan. I have great news, guys,
- 1:21:00Speaker 11: Drake May back at Patriots practice on Thursday and participating
- 1:21:05Speaker 11: in front of the media today. So we're making steps.
- 1:21:09Speaker 11: We're making. It certainly looks promising, leading off drills, doing
- 1:21:17Speaker 11: doing one thing.
- 1:21:19Speaker 5: So let's go. I'm not.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: Let's take time for our pick.
- 1:21:25Speaker 11: Let's not get too carried away just yet. But he
- 1:21:28Speaker 11: is uh, he was back out there and looked look
- 1:21:31Speaker 11: pretty good in the ten minutes that we got to
- 1:21:33Speaker 11: watch him throw the ball against are So that.
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: Must have really lifted the spirits of the media cord.
- 1:21:39Speaker 11: It certainly lifted my spirits for I can't speak for.
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: Everybody, but guys like visibly excited.
- 1:21:44Speaker 13: But.
- 1:21:46Speaker 11: There's no cheering in the press box. There's no cheering
- 1:21:49Speaker 11: in the press box this time. But yours truly was
- 1:21:52Speaker 11: a little giddy on the inside for sure, very excited.
- 1:21:55Speaker 11: I'm cheering, uh to see that and to see that
- 1:21:58Speaker 11: even if you know this week doesn't happen, it doesn't
- 1:22:00Speaker 11: look like it's going to be a long term issue
- 1:22:04Speaker 11: for him. And I should also just mention I know
- 1:22:06Speaker 11: we obviously Drake's the story, but they had perfect practice
- 1:22:10Speaker 11: attendants out there today, So Vederian Lowe is back, Drake
- 1:22:14Speaker 11: was back, and jacquin Roy, who popped up on the
- 1:22:18Speaker 11: injury report yesterday as a d MP, was out there
- 1:22:22Speaker 11: for media access to practice. The one guy that I
- 1:22:26Speaker 11: would say looked pretty limited was Christian Ellis. You know,
- 1:22:29Speaker 11: he looked like he was spectating today from.
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: What we charts, coming off a good game.
- 1:22:36Speaker 11: Yeah, but that's it, Okay, unseasonably warm, just incredibly warm
- 1:22:43Speaker 11: out there.
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: Fred, Guys, I'm talking media now, guys, short sleep.
- 1:22:47Speaker 11: Short, short, short, stighty degrees.
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: Fred.
- 1:22:51Speaker 11: We're looking at uh, but no flipping, no no dogs
- 1:22:55Speaker 11: slipp no dogs out that I saw that I saw,
- 1:22:59Speaker 11: but definitely U training camp outfits, you know, polos and
- 1:23:03Speaker 11: khaki shorts, sunglasses, maybe some sunglasses, sunblock hopefully sunglasses. Do
- 1:23:10Speaker 11: you have to wear the sunblock? That's a good point nine.
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: Time the Meati contingent has gotten bigger, the same or smaller.
- 1:23:18Speaker 11: I would say bigger since Drake May was named the starter.
- 1:23:23Speaker 11: I have noticed, especially on Wednesday, is when it's gerad
- 1:23:26Speaker 11: and quarterback on the same day. Press conferences have been packed.
- 1:23:31Speaker 11: I would say, not quite you know, Dynasty era packed,
- 1:23:35Speaker 11: but definitely a lot more busy than what it was
- 1:23:37Speaker 11: at the beginning of the year.
- 1:23:38Speaker 5: Okay, we'll step back today. Yesterday was so full available.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: I agree with that on Wednesdays. Wednesdays are packed to
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: the gills, but I think it's less.
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: I think.
- 1:23:50Speaker 5: You got that right.
- 1:23:51Speaker 11: I do also think you notice and that they were
- 1:23:54Speaker 11: on the road last night, but you notice when the
- 1:23:56Speaker 11: Celtics or the Bruins are in town that night and
- 1:24:00Speaker 11: they're playing a home game that night, then there's a
- 1:24:02Speaker 11: lot less media here on those days because they're going
- 1:24:05Speaker 11: to go cover the TD Garden. Yes, and you have
- 1:24:10Speaker 11: the champs, so you know that you get.
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: Me in trouble you you.
- 1:24:18Speaker 7: Full buffet, but it's like five bucks you have to pay.
- 1:24:22Speaker 11: I don't know about the Bruins, and know the Celtics you.
- 1:24:24Speaker 5: Have to pay. I don't remember, and the Celtics I
- 1:24:29Speaker 5: thought I think it was ten bucks. Yeah, I remember correctly.
- 1:24:33Speaker 4: I ever remember paying for the Bruins, and that's probably
- 1:24:35Speaker 4: the one team that I covered more, certainly more than
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: the other two.
- 1:24:39Speaker 6: I don't remember having to pay for the Bruins either.
- 1:24:41Speaker 4: I remember paying for.
- 1:24:44Speaker 11: Yeah, I know Celtics one hundred percent.
- 1:24:46Speaker 6: And the Celtics get like the step simbling spread compared
- 1:24:50Speaker 6: to the Bruins. Like the Bruins have a popcorn machine,
- 1:24:52Speaker 6: candy like even up.
- 1:24:54Speaker 7: In the Halo, they have a whole thing like.
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: Celtics can't see the ice from up there.
- 1:25:01Speaker 7: But you know what happened to me on the ninth
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: floor ones covering the Bruins.
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: A drunk fan stumbled into the press box and was
- 1:25:09Speaker 6: just sitting next to me and Bridget Prue with a beer,
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: just like cheering didn't get the hints. No, it's certainly
- 1:25:17Speaker 6: because I would have been tweeting about it. But no,
- 1:25:19Speaker 6: he just like didn't understand that he wasn't supposed to
- 1:25:22Speaker 6: be there, and he asked me and Bridget and said like, hey,
- 1:25:25Speaker 6: am I going to get in trouble for being over here?
- 1:25:27Speaker 7: And I was like, I mean yeah, but like I'm
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: not the snitch, like do you?
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: But it was you. I got kicked out of the
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: ninth floor once.
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: So I did that once.
- 1:25:38Speaker 11: Why was that, dude?
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: Well, I was working for Clintis actually, and I was
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: with with Jimmy Murphy and you know, not paid or anything,
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: but but I was this cameraman quote unquote, and he
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: was just like, just come up sit there. So I
- 1:25:50Speaker 5: would just, you know, go up until they kicked me out.
- 1:25:52Speaker 5: But I'm a producer, I need to know. But then
- 1:25:55Speaker 5: I had to sit in the media room and it's
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: not fun to sit in the media room watching the
- 1:25:58Speaker 5: Bruins game.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: Yeah. I was there once and that's where we were
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: doing like the fifty to fifty thing. Yeah, so we
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: were with like a youth group and so we're sitting
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: on the ninth floor. Once you're done with that, that's
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: where you watch the game from. And you know, they
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: just have like a curtain that sort of separates everybody.
- 1:26:17Speaker 4: So I walked over and I wanted. I want to
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: say ahead of the fellows. Yeah, you know, like the
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: people that Stevie Conroy, a guy that I worked with
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: it for one hundred years. So I was like, I'm
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: gonna go say hello. So I just I walked over
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: and sit down and I'm talking to Steven that all
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: of a sudden, like maybe like fifteen minutes later, a
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: guy comes up. Ten minutes later, the guy comes over
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: and goes, excuse me, sir, you're supposed to be do
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: you have a credential? Like, oh no, don't you know
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: that's what?
- 1:26:46Speaker 11: Don't you know from my shows?
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: So I was I was escorted out of the out
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: of the media hour.
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: Don't you love getting treated by like a second class citizens?
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: Oh no, no, no, the guy was totally right.
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: I wasn't.
- 1:26:56Speaker 4: I didn't belong there. I just, you know, say the
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: fellas one like you from Morale.
- 1:27:01Speaker 11: I need an explanation of what just the wig, just
- 1:27:04Speaker 11: all of it.
- 1:27:05Speaker 5: I don't know. I just thought I've been waiting. I
- 1:27:06Speaker 5: meaned to wear this wig and because I love it
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: so much, it's see.
- 1:27:10Speaker 7: Do you recognize the wig?
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: Evan?
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: No?
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: I was from uh from I won't forget you, Brady
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: I used to his keen.
- 1:27:16Speaker 11: Eye, gotcha, you're wearing your bloods of Jersey.
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I try to be a nineties Patres fan.
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: I was gonna be a ninety four, but then Paul's like,
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: wrong Jersey Deuce and.
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: I have all people you know? And now who's the
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: stick with the details on the uniform? That's the ninety
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: ninety six.
- 1:27:30Speaker 11: I disappointed.
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: I was trying to stick like thirty years per second,
- 1:27:33Speaker 5: you know, blitz second year. Hey there, Paul, Oh my god,
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: Paul on the weekend?
- 1:27:42Speaker 7: That was that was too short? I put it back.
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: The Golden Girl, that's the Golden Girls.
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I am.
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: How does the song the mother?
- 1:27:50Speaker 11: Thank you for friends?
- 1:27:53Speaker 4: Who's been when I was Sophia?
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: And these are all from ever your friends? Tell us
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: about your friends?
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: Who's the blonde? They're all peaberty guys.
- 1:28:03Speaker 11: So just where are they now?
- 1:28:05Speaker 10: In full disclosure?
- 1:28:06Speaker 11: I do?
- 1:28:07Speaker 4: She singles shoot out of text to all of them today,
- 1:28:10Speaker 4: I said, so if this goes on the air, like,
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: no one's going to be upset, right, that's so.
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: They all look the most happy of everybody to be
- 1:28:17Speaker 5: doing it, Like, did you organize it? Organize?
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: No, that's why I look like Paul is a rabbit
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: cross dresser.
- 1:28:26Speaker 19: This is just Paul on the weekend here. Now, just
- 1:28:28Speaker 19: know that about yeah, whenever he gets the old Lady
- 1:28:32Speaker 19: drag drag, that was a good that was, that was
- 1:28:37Speaker 19: a good party, that was. That was a banger, Alex,
- 1:28:41Speaker 19: that was a banger nickname.
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: It's the town Old Lady.
- 1:28:46Speaker 3: Could choose a costume. What would you address.
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: You already? I'm Kyle.
- 1:28:55Speaker 11: I'm not big enough for Connor McDermott.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:28:58Speaker 11: Probably something in football related though football, not like something
- 1:29:05Speaker 11: football related. I remember one year I went as coach
- 1:29:09Speaker 11: Taylor from Friday Night Lights like that one that was yours.
- 1:29:14Speaker 11: Yeah for the most part, you know, yeah, something like
- 1:29:17Speaker 11: that Bill Be you know, Kyle chair Zach Taylor.
- 1:29:22Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: Connie Brittain, bigger fan.
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: Why is that she looked like one of his friends
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: on the picture?
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: All right, well listen, it is that time of the week,
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: So Paul phillis in. And what happened last week? Because
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: I have no idea?
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: All right, so last week, Fred I had no idea.
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: Twelve and four win's the week again. He has a
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: he has a feel for the leak, Alex and you
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: know it's right behind at eleven and five.
- 1:30:04Speaker 11: Were always like the same, Paul ten and six.
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: And good week for me?
- 1:30:10Speaker 11: Not a good year.
- 1:30:11Speaker 5: Well I was, I was leading in.
- 1:30:13Speaker 10: The wo I would I would escalate that, escalate that.
- 1:30:23Speaker 4: That's right with the spread again Fred nine and seven.
- 1:30:29Speaker 10: Wow, this is gonna be bad, followed by alex.
- 1:30:31Speaker 4: At eight and eight, Paul at seven and nine, and
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: Mike and Evan at six and ten.
- 1:30:37Speaker 11: I don't know how I'm so bad against the spread,
- 1:30:39Speaker 11: but I'm somehow good straight.
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: Up because the spread is harder, I know, but like
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: it's it's.
- 1:30:45Speaker 11: A complete opposite, Like how does that even possible? All right? Anyways, sorry,
- 1:30:48Speaker 11: I digress.
- 1:30:49Speaker 4: All right, So the standings, I don't know why.
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: It's hard to understand.
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: Alexandra has moved into a tie for first with me
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: at seventy seven and forty six make up, followed by
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: Evan seventy six and forty seven. Just one game bad,
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: not bad, then Fred at seventy five and forty eight
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: and starting to get a little separation my seventy one
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: and fifty two.
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: A big week here with the spread.
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: Kersh stretches the lead sixty seven, fifty three and three,
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: followed by Mike sixty four fifty six and three, even
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: with the six and ten, Alex sixty two fifty eight
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: and three, and then Evan and I are tied in
- 1:31:32Speaker 4: the basement at sixty one fifty nine and three.
- 1:31:35Speaker 7: Money guys got the poop, don't make any money.
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, all right, So now we move to this
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: week tonight on the newsletter, I didn't come up with it.
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: Eight fifteen on Prime, the six and two Texans are
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: at the two and six Jets.
- 1:31:57Speaker 4: The Jets by one and a half. Lot of injuries
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: Stroud out no, but everybody else digs Collins. I think
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: they have some injuries on defense as well.
- 1:32:08Speaker 5: So I kind of prepare my picks at nineteen ninety
- 1:32:10Speaker 5: four style. But that's okay.
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: So this is a forfeit then, because the Texans didn't exist.
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: Well, we're gonna go with it. We're gonna go with
- 1:32:17Speaker 5: the Houston Oilers.
- 1:32:18Speaker 17: You know.
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: I just I think Jack Party is probably gonna be
- 1:32:20Speaker 5: out this year. Keep an eye on the young coach
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: Jeff Fisher, maybe making the uh making the since they're uh.
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: Of course, Pete Carroll. Pete Carroll like what he's doing
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: with the Jets, you know, Boomer Sison though on the
- 1:32:30Speaker 5: on the on the downslope. But I don't know what
- 1:32:32Speaker 5: you expect tonight. I'm gonna do every single one.
- 1:32:35Speaker 4: The start and ended up ten and six.
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: They ended up six and ten this year. Actually, uh
- 1:32:40Speaker 5: but I'll joke and aside. Uh man, it's tough because
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: Houston guy does have some injured receivers and you feel
- 1:32:45Speaker 5: like the Jets are falling apart. But I'm gonna take
- 1:32:48Speaker 5: the Jets at home. I'll lay the points. I don't
- 1:32:50Speaker 5: know why I didn't see this. I feel like they're random.
- 1:32:54Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like it was rock bottom for them
- 1:32:56Speaker 6: last week. So maybe only up from here. Maybe Jets,
- 1:33:01Speaker 6: but Houston covers.
- 1:33:04Speaker 11: I'm taking the Texans. I can't pick the Jets in
- 1:33:07Speaker 11: the game right now. I don't trust anything that's going
- 1:33:09Speaker 11: on with them. And I still think the Texans they
- 1:33:11Speaker 11: have Stroud. I mean they might not have all of
- 1:33:13Speaker 11: his weapons, but they have Stroud. So I'm taking the Texans.
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm with Evan. I think that team is quit.
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: I'll take Houston.
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's the thing. Are they gonna quit or not?
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: So I'm gonna take Huston because I think they are
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: I just think Rogers is a mess. I he's got
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: something wrong.
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: The injuries do concern me, though, so you never know. Okay,
- 1:33:36Speaker 4: Oh and what was the number one and a half?
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: Yeah? So Texans both ways, they're underdogs, right, so they're
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: gonna win. Correct one o'clock on Fox, the three and
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: four Cowboys are at the five and three Falcons.
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: Sorry, big head Heart texted me in the middle of
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: the show. Dallas ad Atlanta? You said, yeah, Falcons by.
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: Three, by three, get three, so it's toss up.
- 1:34:10Speaker 5: That's a tough one. Uh you know, I'm gonna go
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: with Atlanta at home. I'll lay the points.
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: I'll take the Cowboys Cowboys. Yeah, Okay, it's.
- 1:34:23Speaker 11: A tough one. Cowboys gonna stop turning the ball over.
- 1:34:26Speaker 11: So I'm gonna go at the Falcons at home in
- 1:34:28Speaker 11: this game.
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I just think Dallas is a mess. I will
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: take Atlanta and even though they can't seem to play
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: two good games in a row, but I think the
- 1:34:40Speaker 4: Falcons are better than that.
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: That's the problem with the Falcons. Do you trust them yet?
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: I don't trust I don't, but don't trust Dallas, right,
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: So I'm gonna take the Falcons. Can't trust CBS one o'clock.
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: The five and three Broncos in a rare road game
- 1:34:56Speaker 3: against the five and three Ravens Baltimore by nine.
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: No geez uh. You know Broncos won seven to nine
- 1:35:08Speaker 5: and ninety four this year, by the way. It's kind
- 1:35:10Speaker 5: of kind of the lull before they got back, you know,
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: John always seven and seven. You know, I'm gonna take
- 1:35:15Speaker 5: Baltimore to win, but I'm gonna take the points for
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: young boat Nicks. I think he's been playing a little better.
- 1:35:21Speaker 5: Just don't like the big.
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: Spread Baltimore slash Denver for me.
- 1:35:28Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm gonna do the same thing until Baltimore really
- 1:35:31Speaker 11: figures themselves out. I think that's a big spread.
- 1:35:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't lay that amount of points with that defense.
- 1:35:38Speaker 4: Baltimore's defense is a mess. I will do the same thing.
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: So again, what do the sharps know? Everyone here, including me, says,
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: what this point spread is too big? So what's going on?
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: Is there something that we don't know about this game
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: that they're giving the Ravens such a big point spread?
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: I'm asking you, Paul Parillo.
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: Oh no, I would just say the Ravens are a
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: lot better than the Broncos. But their defense is really
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: exactly so I have a hard time laying I have.
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: To say, unless there's the sharps, you know, this could
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: be a sign post game. But you know, unless the sharps,
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: you know, unless I know something I don't. So I'm
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: going to have to tell you that this is your
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: road dog points red lock of the week, definitely, So what.
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: Is the pick?
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: Ravens Denver?
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: Okay, after all that you're doing? Else?
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: Yes, what scares the hell out of me? One o'clock
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: on CBS, the two and five Dolphins are at the
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: six and two Bills, Buffalo by six.
- 1:36:49Speaker 4: Oh geez ah.
- 1:36:52Speaker 5: Yeah, Damn Marino thirty three years old. I mean, I
- 1:36:54Speaker 5: just I think he's on the back to end of it.
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: He really is.
- 1:36:57Speaker 5: You know, Buffalo has been to three straight Super Bowls.
- 1:37:00Speaker 5: Jim Kelly still got Therevan Thomas, I'm gonna go to Buffalo,
- 1:37:03Speaker 5: but I'm gonna take those points from Miami because I
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: think they're gonna they're gonna start to score a little
- 1:37:06Speaker 5: bit more with their real quarterback, Tua.
- 1:37:09Speaker 7: Yeah, they're right in for Tua.
- 1:37:10Speaker 6: Buffalo wins Miami maybe like a they just squeeze out a.
- 1:37:15Speaker 11: Cover Yeah, I'm gonna go Buffalo, Buffalo in this game.
- 1:37:20Speaker 11: I just I don't know about the Dolphins. I'm not sure.
- 1:37:23Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:37:24Speaker 11: They scored some more points week with two of back,
- 1:37:26Speaker 11: but I still like the Bills to roll.
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna take Buffalo both ways too. The Dolphins
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: defense has not performed very well. I'll take the.
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: Bills, Folks. This is your straight up upset of the week.
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: Dolphins both ways, both ways.
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: How we get the Dolphins? How do we get the
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: Dolphins back in the uh in the picture? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: take a pull off a road wind like that. That
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: might give him a little bit of a lift, I
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: would say so.
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: One o'clock on CBS, the two and six Saints are
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: at the one and seven Panthers.
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: What a game, New Orleans by seven and a half.
- 1:38:06Speaker 5: Oh geez, Well, the Panthers didn't exist in ninety four.
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: Don't worry, no no bid on this one. I'm gonna
- 1:38:12Speaker 5: take I'll take New Orleans on the road, but I
- 1:38:16Speaker 5: don't know. I'm gonna just take the points for Carolina.
- 1:38:20Speaker 5: I figure the a close game between two bad teams.
- 1:38:23Speaker 6: I'll just go New Orleans straight up.
- 1:38:27Speaker 11: Yeah, these are two bad teams. I think New Orleans
- 1:38:29Speaker 11: gets right though in this game, and I'm gonna take them. Yeah,
- 1:38:34Speaker 11: I'm gonna take them both ways.
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: I will take the Saints to win, but I will
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: take the points with Mike. Saints really blasted the Panthers
- 1:38:43Speaker 4: in the first game of the year. I think Carolina
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: remembers that a little bit. I don't know if they'll
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: have enough to do anything about it, but home Dogs
- 1:38:51Speaker 4: seven and a half.
- 1:38:52Speaker 5: I'll take it.
- 1:38:53Speaker 3: I will too Saints win, but do not cover. One
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: o'clock on Fox, the two and six Raiders are at
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: the three and five Bengals.
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: Bengals. Joe Burrow has called this a must win, emphatically,
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: must win Bengals by seven.
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: If Joe Burrow says it, then I'm gonna believe him. Certainly,
- 1:39:13Speaker 5: he's better than Jeff Blake and David Klingler were back
- 1:39:16Speaker 5: in nineteen ninety four. So I will lay the point.
- 1:39:19Speaker 5: I did some research. I did how much time is
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: seven minutes? I'll take since he both ways, please.
- 1:39:27Speaker 7: All take?
- 1:39:28Speaker 6: Since he to win Raiders, what's it spread again?
- 1:39:31Speaker 4: Seven?
- 1:39:32Speaker 6: Since he both ways?
- 1:39:36Speaker 11: Yeah, it's a it's a must win. But I'm gonna
- 1:39:39Speaker 11: take the Raiders to cover this point spread. The last
- 1:39:43Speaker 11: couple of weeks, they they've played games games close, So
- 1:39:46Speaker 11: I'm not gonna take the blowout. I'm gonna take Bengals
- 1:39:48Speaker 11: to win, Raiders to cover.
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna take the Bengals both ways. I think
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: the Raiders just stink.
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: Yeah, Joe Burrow going out on a limbs saying it's
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: a must win against one of the worst teams in
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: the league.
- 1:40:00Speaker 4: They've lost the other terrible teams this year.
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: Bengals do cover. Though, Bengals cover, I hate it, but
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: they do. One o'clock on CBS, the four and three
- 1:40:11Speaker 3: Chargers are at the two and six Rowns, big winners
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: last week, the Lack by one and a half.
- 1:40:19Speaker 5: I just love Jamis Winston so much. He's just so fun.
- 1:40:22Speaker 5: I'm gonna take Cleveland to win at home home dog.
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: Same Oh wow, two Brown picks.
- 1:40:34Speaker 11: I'm gonna take the Chargers. I feel like usually the
- 1:40:37Speaker 11: backup quarterback gets that one game where he has, you know,
- 1:40:40Speaker 11: his time to shine and then it comes back down
- 1:40:43Speaker 11: to earth. I'm gonna take the Charger.
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: Kyle Hamilton doesn't drop the pick this week. Yeah.
- 1:40:48Speaker 11: Plus, I'm just like, I'm not in on Jamis like
- 1:40:50Speaker 11: everybody else.
- 1:40:52Speaker 5: Did you see James quote the sky be the limit
- 1:40:54Speaker 5: when we put people on the moon.
- 1:40:56Speaker 11: He has too much fun for me.
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: Had he had three touchdowns no picks last week? So yeah, right,
- 1:41:01Speaker 4: which standard reason it's no touchdowns three picks this week?
- 1:41:04Speaker 4: I'll take the lack.
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: I will take the lack as well. Sunday at one
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: on Fox a lot of one o'clock games. The six
- 1:41:14Speaker 3: and two Commanders are at the two and six Giants.
- 1:41:19Speaker 4: Washington by four, Washington bar four.
- 1:41:23Speaker 3: I like that one.
- 1:41:24Speaker 5: I'm a little with the points. It's not like Dan
- 1:41:28Speaker 5: Reeves is still there coaching and the Giants shout out Aaron.
- 1:41:31Speaker 5: But I'll take Washington and uh what was four? And
- 1:41:36Speaker 5: I'll lay them. I'll lay them Washwash.
- 1:41:41Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm gonna take Washington both ways. I think the
- 1:41:43Speaker 11: Giants tink.
- 1:41:45Speaker 4: I think they do as well. I'm gonna take the
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: points though, because I'm a little concerned about that whole
- 1:41:50Speaker 4: Hail Hail Mary and the celebration and sometimes you get
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: a little bit of a that. I think Washington is
- 1:42:00Speaker 4: good enough to win the game on the road, but
- 1:42:01Speaker 4: I'll take the points.
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: Yeah, division game, I agree with Paul, But is there
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: a chance that like this is just one of those
- 1:42:08Speaker 3: magical seasons and the Cinderella Commanders get to the super Bowl.
- 1:42:11Speaker 4: Well, I don't know about the super Bowl, but you've
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: taking Washington both ways.
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: But the Giants cover that defense has.
- 1:42:19Speaker 4: Played really well, like the last I don't know, a
- 1:42:21Speaker 4: month or so for Washington.
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, So now we skip over the Patriots
- 1:42:29Speaker 3: at one o'clock and we go to four oh five
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: on CBS. The four and three Bears are at the
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: four and four.
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: Cardinals Evans frisky Cardinals by one and a half.
- 1:42:43Speaker 5: That's a fun game. That's that's a fun name day.
- 1:42:46Speaker 5: Uh yeah, maybe watching all of that in the post
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: game show, I'll take the I'll take the a Z.
- 1:42:51Speaker 5: Take the a Z at home Chicago a little you know,
- 1:42:55Speaker 5: similar thing. After losing like that, I feel like now
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: they got travel might be down a little bit.
- 1:43:02Speaker 4: Spread one more time for me one and a half Arizona.
- 1:43:07Speaker 6: I'll go with Arizona. That's it both ways. I mean
- 1:43:13Speaker 6: it's first one spread.
- 1:43:14Speaker 11: You know, this wasn't sure if.
- 1:43:20Speaker 4: Period she did do it earlier. She's crazy Jets.
- 1:43:24Speaker 6: Yeah, but I thought it and then I didn't correct myself.
- 1:43:27Speaker 6: So I'm just letting it happen because I don't want
- 1:43:28Speaker 6: to take back ju ju. But yeah, I'm rooting for
- 1:43:33Speaker 6: Chad Ryland down there.
- 1:43:34Speaker 11: How about how about our guy?
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: I'm actually really four weeks.
- 1:43:40Speaker 11: My theory is that Chad was in on the tank
- 1:43:42Speaker 11: and I appreciate him for it. I was grinding some
- 1:43:46Speaker 11: Bears tape this morning, getting ready for next week, and uh, Cale,
- 1:43:51Speaker 11: I didn't.
- 1:43:52Speaker 4: Expect to hear it on the show. I was grinding
- 1:43:54Speaker 4: some Beers tape this morning.
- 1:43:56Speaker 11: Yeah, and uh, you know, Caleb, But I think is
- 1:43:58Speaker 11: playing well, but a lot of it's it's Paul's thing,
- 1:44:01Speaker 11: Like a lot of his big plays are out of structure,
- 1:44:05Speaker 11: running around.
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:44:06Speaker 11: It's not enough on time for me right now with
- 1:44:09Speaker 11: his game. So I'm going to take my Cardinals because
- 1:44:12Speaker 11: I like the pesky Cardinals at home in this game.
- 1:44:16Speaker 11: I just want to see a little bit more actual
- 1:44:19Speaker 11: quarterback from the pocket.
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: Before you do your pick, Paul, I'm predicting you're picking
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: the Bears.
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: No, I'm taking Arizona because of what Mike said. I
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: think the the opposite of the Washington thing. I think
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: that's a tough one. Ye, that's a tough one to
- 1:44:31Speaker 4: just sort of blow off and get past.
- 1:44:34Speaker 3: I just I agree. I think that's deflating. So I'm
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: gonna go with the Cardinals both ways. They cover the
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: point and a half.
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: Why do you think that I was gonna take the Bears.
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: Because I think you're out to prove two things.
- 1:44:45Speaker 4: Oh, I think that's already been proven. What the quarterback
- 1:44:48Speaker 4: can play.
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: Yeah, Caleb Williams can play. And also that I don't
- 1:44:51Speaker 3: I don't worry about that.
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: Oh no, I mean the Cardinals are four and four. Yeah,
- 1:44:54Speaker 4: they're they like right in the thicket that NFC West Race.
- 1:44:59Speaker 4: And I like Kyler Murray too. I think he can play,
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: despite the fact that everybody else throw him off. All right.
- 1:45:05Speaker 3: Four oh five on CBS the two and six Jaguars,
- 1:45:09Speaker 3: who may not win another game after beating the Patriots
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: against the five and two Eagles.
- 1:45:16Speaker 4: Philly by seven and a half, seven and a half
- 1:45:21Speaker 4: check some of course trading the tackle.
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: Eh.
- 1:45:24Speaker 5: I'm gonna take Philly to win one, but I'm gonna
- 1:45:26Speaker 5: take the points for Jacksonville. I think they'll be a
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: little spunky against the Eagles, who are hard team to
- 1:45:31Speaker 5: get a read on.
- 1:45:32Speaker 7: Philly.
- 1:45:33Speaker 11: Philly Yeah, I'm waiting for the Wheels to come off
- 1:45:39Speaker 11: in Jacksonville completely because last week they played the Packers
- 1:45:42Speaker 11: pretty close as well. I don't think it's this week.
- 1:45:44Speaker 11: I think Doug Peterson gets up for to face his
- 1:45:47Speaker 11: old team. So I'm gonna give the Eagles the win,
- 1:45:50Speaker 11: but the Jaguars cover.
- 1:45:51Speaker 4: Yeah, me too. I actually thought about taking Jacksonville outright,
- 1:45:54Speaker 4: but I'll take Philly. I'll split it and take the points.
- 1:45:58Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: I think the Sharps knows something here. Eagles both ways,
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: Eagles both ways. Four twenty five on Fox. The six
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: and one Lions are at the six and two Packers.
- 1:46:11Speaker 4: Any update on Jordan Love there, It.
- 1:46:14Speaker 11: Does sound like it's trending in the right direction.
- 1:46:16Speaker 4: Okay, because I know he didn't practice yesterday, but it
- 1:46:18Speaker 4: sounds like he's going to today.
- 1:46:20Speaker 11: According to that, I'd signed for Jordan Love to be
- 1:46:22Speaker 11: out there.
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: Detroit is favored by three and a half. Three and
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: a half And you said no, Jared Goff.
- 1:46:29Speaker 5: Yeah, well that was yesterday's practice because the tweet deck
- 1:46:31Speaker 5: threw me, you know, the the late that's the tweet
- 1:46:35Speaker 5: from yesterday, that's you tab that. I yeah, no, I know,
- 1:46:39Speaker 5: I just came across my feet. We'll see if he
- 1:46:43Speaker 5: practices today. He did not practice yesterday three minutes ago.
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: He's out of practice. Yeah, all right, were allowed to
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: have like a what if pick on this one.
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: I don't think there's any chance that GoF won't play.
- 1:46:55Speaker 5: If Yeah, okay, I'm just gonna go for it.
- 1:46:57Speaker 4: I think he's even injured.
- 1:46:58Speaker 5: I'm gonna go for it with Detroit lay the points.
- 1:47:01Speaker 4: But he could be maybe. I don't know. Detroit said,
- 1:47:06Speaker 4: who do you take?
- 1:47:06Speaker 5: I took the Detroit Lions.
- 1:47:08Speaker 4: The Detroit Lions, pack at home, pack at home for
- 1:47:16Speaker 4: out right?
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: Wait are they Yeah?
- 1:47:19Speaker 4: They're underdogs?
- 1:47:20Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna take the Lions.
- 1:47:26Speaker 11: I don't know, haven't been as sharp I feel like
- 1:47:29Speaker 11: the last couple of weeks, so I can take the Lions.
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to take the Lions too, both ways.
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna take the Lions. The way they're playing, momentum,
- 1:47:38Speaker 3: momentum is really you know, Yeah, I'm gonna take the Lions.
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: FO on Fox, the three and four Rams are at
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: the four and four Seahawks.
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: The lar by one and a half. One and a half.
- 1:47:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, right, I don't like. I don't like
- 1:47:56Speaker 5: Seattle being a home dog. But I know, you know,
- 1:47:58Speaker 5: the Rams have been got their guys back, they're playing better.
- 1:48:00Speaker 5: I'm gonna take Matt Stafford uh on the road. I
- 1:48:04Speaker 5: don't love it though, I don't love it.
- 1:48:05Speaker 11: Who owns in NFC West I think I think the
- 1:48:12Speaker 11: same thing, but I do not have the evidence last
- 1:48:16Speaker 11: because of.
- 1:48:16Speaker 5: That, some of those geno Smith throws that like it
- 1:48:20Speaker 5: all of a sudden looks like your thing where you
- 1:48:22Speaker 5: can't play again. Like, I don't get him. He's so
- 1:48:24Speaker 5: hot and cold, like like he would picked the Patriots
- 1:48:26Speaker 5: apart like he was on fire, and now now it's
- 1:48:30Speaker 5: like he's throwing ball straight to the other team.
- 1:48:31Speaker 6: It's weird, Arlar.
- 1:48:36Speaker 11: Yeah, I can't figure out either of these teams. I
- 1:48:38Speaker 11: feel like I picked them wrong every single week. But
- 1:48:41Speaker 11: I'm gonna go with the Rams here, and they've gotten
- 1:48:45Speaker 11: a couple in a row against Seattle, so maybe they
- 1:48:47Speaker 11: do have their number.
- 1:48:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to take the Rams just because I
- 1:48:50Speaker 4: think they're healthy for the first time since Week one,
- 1:48:53Speaker 4: and they looked like a different team as as a result,
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: I'll take the Lar.
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: Yeah, Stafford's playing well. I'm gonna go with the Rams
- 1:49:01Speaker 3: as well, eight twenty on Sunday Night, and be sure
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: Universo and Telexitos and Peacock and Peacock he formed four
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: Colts are at the five and two Vikings A.
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: Terrible Sunday night game. Vikings by five.
- 1:49:19Speaker 11: Joe Flacco in the Aianapolis Colts.
- 1:49:21Speaker 5: Joe Flacco, that's permanent.
- 1:49:23Speaker 11: He played in nineteen ninety four, right.
- 1:49:26Speaker 5: Actually, at this point it was thirty eight year old
- 1:49:27Speaker 5: Warren Moon playing for the Minnesota Vikings. But Marshall Falk
- 1:49:31Speaker 5: on his rookie Rookie of the Year campaign with the Colts.
- 1:49:35Speaker 5: I'm sure they could use him, but I don't know.
- 1:49:38Speaker 5: I don't feel great about either of these teams. But
- 1:49:40Speaker 5: I'll take Minnesota at home.
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: What was the SI.
- 1:49:47Speaker 7: Vikings?
- 1:49:47Speaker 6: Vikings?
- 1:49:50Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm gonna go Vikings both ways too. I do
- 1:49:53Speaker 11: think Flacco is spunky, but I just think the Vikings
- 1:49:55Speaker 11: are a good team.
- 1:49:57Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think it's the kind of defense that
- 1:49:59Speaker 4: bothers him. Pressure, a lot of pressure. Yep, doesn't move
- 1:50:02Speaker 4: as well. I'll take the Vikings both ways.
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: Yeah, me too, Vikings both ways. Monday Night, eight fifteen, ESPN, ABC,
- 1:50:10Speaker 3: ESPN two ESPN Deportes. Why is it not an ESPN plus?
- 1:50:14Speaker 3: I wonder four and four Buccaneers are at the seven
- 1:50:18Speaker 3: and oh Chiefs.
- 1:50:20Speaker 4: Chefs by eight and a half.
- 1:50:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna keep doing what I do, which is
- 1:50:25Speaker 5: taking Kansas City. Yeah, I guess I'll lay the points.
- 1:50:31Speaker 5: Of course, of ninety four, this was Joe Montana, Marcus Allen,
- 1:50:33Speaker 5: Marty Schottenheimer.
- 1:50:34Speaker 11: Of course, you know Joe Montanas trying to run up.
- 1:50:37Speaker 5: The Chiefs with some old guys, so not so much
- 1:50:40Speaker 5: Kansas City.
- 1:50:42Speaker 7: Casey, Casey covers.
- 1:50:46Speaker 11: Yeah, the Bucks have all sorts of injuries still right
- 1:50:49Speaker 11: at receiver. No, Mike Evans, no godwins. I'm going to
- 1:50:52Speaker 11: take the Chiefs in this game. Take them. I'll take
- 1:50:56Speaker 11: them both ways, prime time. I think they show out,
- 1:50:58Speaker 11: but they're not going to go seventeen enough, so they'll
- 1:51:01Speaker 11: they'll lose eventually. Yeah, I'm gonna take I think Buffalo
- 1:51:04Speaker 11: in a couple of weeks.
- 1:51:05Speaker 4: Yea, the I'm going to take the Chiefs to win.
- 1:51:09Speaker 4: I will take the points. So I thought, without all
- 1:51:11Speaker 4: those guys the Bucks offense, you know that your boy,
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: you know Bacon, he gave him a chance. Listen, he
- 1:51:18Speaker 4: gave him a chance.
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: The league's better with him in it.
- 1:51:22Speaker 4: No one really understands that. But I'm going to take
- 1:51:24Speaker 4: the points.
- 1:51:26Speaker 3: I will take the Chiefs both ways. I think they
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: have a breakout game this week, so you're going to
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: see the old Chiefs.
- 1:51:37Speaker 4: It's gonna happen one of these forty.
- 1:51:38Speaker 6: Points breakout game for the undefeated team.
- 1:51:41Speaker 4: Forty points offensively played well though, yeah, I mean sure, yeah,
- 1:51:45Speaker 4: seriously they haven't.
- 1:51:46Speaker 5: Seriously though seven team. It's like, sincerely, we.
- 1:51:52Speaker 4: Have experience with it. Twenty nineteen pages.
- 1:51:56Speaker 11: I was just say it's very twenty nineteen pagess.
- 1:51:59Speaker 4: I don't think they were very impressive.
- 1:52:02Speaker 3: The difference is their quarterbacks still loves the game. Wow.
- 1:52:07Speaker 5: Well he was upset.
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: He didn't want to be here.
- 1:52:13Speaker 4: I expect that out of Mic, not you, all right what,
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: I just.
- 1:52:17Speaker 3: Don't like this whole Raiders ownership thing. It's really clearly
- 1:52:21Speaker 3: not sitting.
- 1:52:21Speaker 4: Well, you gave me the clues.
- 1:52:24Speaker 11: They were right there in front of my He's posted
- 1:52:26Speaker 11: mob stories on his Instagram because of Giselle on the field,
- 1:52:31Speaker 11: Dixie Chicks lyrics because it's been two years.
- 1:52:34Speaker 6: Yeah, wife for thirteen and they have two children.
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: Why do you have to go to the internet.
- 1:52:39Speaker 5: Lance last, I know you.
- 1:52:41Speaker 3: Have to have a therapist. Talk to Alice Guerrero.
- 1:52:45Speaker 4: Why do you have to talk to they've kissed.
- 1:52:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm here, DM me Tom, I can talk to you.
- 1:52:52Speaker 4: I'll help you.
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: So anyway, so now we move Bashville. Now we move
- 1:52:59Speaker 3: back to one o'clock on Sunday. The two and six
- 1:53:01Speaker 3: Patriots are at the one and six Titans.
- 1:53:05Speaker 4: Uh, the Titans by three and a half, three and
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: a half.
- 1:53:09Speaker 5: Well, I'm gonna get optimistic. I think Drake's gonna play
- 1:53:13Speaker 5: and I like that, and I like the Patriots. I
- 1:53:16Speaker 5: think they'll be able to put it together this week
- 1:53:18Speaker 5: and just hopefully they can continue to build. Sounds like
- 1:53:20Speaker 5: they're going to get their offensive line back again, and
- 1:53:22Speaker 5: we talked about that. Love to get the run game going.
- 1:53:25Speaker 5: But I just I don't think it's gonna be easy
- 1:53:27Speaker 5: with this defense to Tennessee. I think they might have
- 1:53:29Speaker 5: to dominate the special teams and be careful with the turnovers.
- 1:53:33Speaker 5: Maybe try to get a takeaway would be great. It's
- 1:53:35Speaker 5: been a few games since they've had one of those.
- 1:53:38Speaker 5: So yeah, I'm gonna go Patriots plus three and a half,
- 1:53:41Speaker 5: and I'll say twenty twenty to sixteen.
- 1:53:47Speaker 6: Patriots twenty seven Titans twenty four contingent on Drake play,
- 1:53:55Speaker 6: and if he doesn't, I'll just eat it, eat it.
- 1:53:59Speaker 11: I believe Drake May is gonna play. I believe this
- 1:54:02Speaker 11: is gonna be a breakout game for the Patriots quarterback.
- 1:54:05Speaker 11: I thought he was on the way there against the
- 1:54:08Speaker 11: Jets towards having one of those types of games before
- 1:54:10Speaker 11: the injury. I think he wins. I think he wins
- 1:54:14Speaker 11: handedly twenty seven to thirteen Patriots, and Drake May is
- 1:54:18Speaker 11: the guy that'd be amazing.
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: I am taking the Patriots as well. I think that
- 1:54:23Speaker 4: they will win this game. Do you not think it
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: will be a high scoring game? Though, I'm gonna go
- 1:54:29Speaker 4: sixteen twelve Patriots.
- 1:54:31Speaker 11: That's probably one realistic. But I was wrong.
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: I get two offenses that struggle, Like you know, I
- 1:54:40Speaker 4: did never know turnovers could put some points on the board. Obviously,
- 1:54:43Speaker 4: the Titans turn it over a lot minus thirteen.
- 1:54:46Speaker 5: There's just something special about when you pick another team
- 1:54:48Speaker 5: to score twelve points. It's just a certain like little
- 1:54:50Speaker 5: twist of the knife that I'm.
- 1:54:52Speaker 4: Not even willing to say four field.
- 1:54:53Speaker 5: Goals, six safeties.
- 1:54:57Speaker 3: We're talking Booty Pop, Remandre Hunter, Henry Weapons. Patriots score
- 1:55:08Speaker 3: thirty one points in this game, and they're all from
- 1:55:10Speaker 3: the offense.
- 1:55:12Speaker 5: Crap, you could have.
- 1:55:13Speaker 3: Won twenty two. Patriots cover easily on the road.
- 1:55:19Speaker 7: I hope that's the score. But there's like a pick
- 1:55:21Speaker 7: six stone in there, just slightly because.
- 1:55:23Speaker 4: You know, I'll just bust this job. So you said
- 1:55:25Speaker 4: there was gonna be all wrong wrong, So yeah, Paige,
- 1:55:28Speaker 4: you were wrong.
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: We're all on the Patriots.
- 1:55:31Speaker 4: We're all on the Patriots. We all think Drake May
- 1:55:34Speaker 4: and we all think Drake May is gonna play right. Well.
- 1:55:36Speaker 5: Can I ask real quick though, how does the panel
- 1:55:38Speaker 5: feel different?
- 1:55:39Speaker 3: Twelve?
- 1:55:40Speaker 11: Thirteen to ten?
- 1:55:41Speaker 4: Do you think he played well in the London game?
- 1:55:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:55:46Speaker 4: How many points they score that day? Twenty right?
- 1:55:49Speaker 11: Sixteen?
- 1:55:50Speaker 4: Right again?
- 1:55:51Speaker 11: Yeah? I added four.
- 1:55:53Speaker 5: Question for the panel. How does it affect your view
- 1:55:55Speaker 5: whether it's Will leave os or or Mason Rudolph might
- 1:56:00Speaker 5: seems like there's some question right up.
- 1:56:01Speaker 4: It's a twenty three to twelve. If if Levis.
- 1:56:04Speaker 5: Plays has a sick craziness or not even a pick six, it's.
- 1:56:08Speaker 4: A I'm getting sacked. I'm just gonna throw the ball
- 1:56:11Speaker 4: over there and someone might pick it up and run
- 1:56:13Speaker 4: it in right. Yeah, four lost fumbles, and you know
- 1:56:16Speaker 4: it's not like he's getting blindsided as he's throwing his
- 1:56:20Speaker 4: lost fumbles at him trying to like lateral to people.
- 1:56:22Speaker 3: Yeah, he makes bad decisions, really bad.
- 1:56:24Speaker 11: Just I feel like it's a watered down version of
- 1:56:26Speaker 11: the Patriots, where you know, Levis is a better playmaker
- 1:56:29Speaker 11: than Rudolph Is, but he's got the volatility, whereas Rudolph
- 1:56:33Speaker 11: just doesn't move the ball.
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: So it's got a a couple more minutes. You heard
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: Alex van Pelt today, I did. I only read it,
- 1:56:40Speaker 3: so I didn't like hear the tone he was I
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: thought effusive about Booty and the decision making of May.
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: Would you agree, Yeah?
- 1:56:52Speaker 11: I would, And I think and you know, maybe not
- 1:56:55Speaker 11: so much the Booty praise, but.
- 1:56:59Speaker 4: I just read it.
- 1:57:00Speaker 11: I'm just telling you, okay, with with Drake, May, decisions
- 1:57:05Speaker 11: have not been the issue. You know, when he's run
- 1:57:06Speaker 11: into issues, it's been accuracy, ball placement, overthrowing guys, things
- 1:57:11Speaker 11: like that. I don't think I've ever really felt like, oh,
- 1:57:14Speaker 11: he's just not seeing it today. You know, I don't
- 1:57:17Speaker 11: see that from him at all, So it's it's good
- 1:57:19Speaker 11: to hear Van Pelt feels the same way and kind
- 1:57:22Speaker 11: of back that up because that's what it looks like
- 1:57:24Speaker 11: on film, is that seeing the field exceptionally Well, they
- 1:57:27Speaker 11: just have to work on his accuracy and get him
- 1:57:30Speaker 11: to be a little bit more consistent throwing the ball.
- 1:57:32Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:57:32Speaker 3: Okay, Well that'll do it for this edition of Patriots
