Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: I put with Alexi Napola and Marissa Patton an iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Ola, Hi, guys, how's everyone? So Marathon will not be
- 0:11Speaker 2: with me here today because she's having a fabulous time
- 0:15Speaker 2: on a cruise with her hobby in Europe.
- 0:17Speaker 1: She's actually renewing her vows Peter, Hi.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Put fouer Mariso, did you hear that? But we're missing
- 0:25Speaker 2: you and it's not going to be the same without you.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Peter will try to fill in for you, and it's
- 0:31Speaker 2: going to be a lot of fun because I've actually
- 0:33Speaker 2: never co hosted with my son Peter. I've never done
- 0:35Speaker 2: a podcast with him. So wa Mohamed, Let's see how
- 0:38Speaker 2: it goes for us. You guys be the judge of it.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I hope you like it. I think that a good
- 0:43Speaker 2: question to start off would be, what do you think
- 0:46Speaker 2: is the best piece of advice that I've.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Ever given you?
- 0:50Speaker 3: I wish I would have taken all of your advice,
- 0:53Speaker 3: but unfortunately that's not how it works. You know, I've
- 0:58Speaker 3: had to, you know, go through a lot of hardships
- 1:01Speaker 3: and you learn, unfortunately. But I always had your little
- 1:04Speaker 3: voice in my head, like, don't do that, Peter and
- 1:08Speaker 3: English or Spanish it Spanglish, so you always guided me
- 1:14Speaker 3: in the right direction, even though my actions never you know,
- 1:18Speaker 3: really matched with it. But as the years have progressed
- 1:22Speaker 3: and everything, I'm very grateful for your advice. I know
- 1:25Speaker 3: you only meant the best and stuff right.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Well, I think as a mom, right and especially being Latina,
- 1:32Speaker 2: I feel that we're always giving advice and you know,
- 1:36Speaker 2: whether you take it or not, it's just about you
- 1:38Speaker 2: listening and then realizing. You know, I realize also that
- 1:42Speaker 2: you have to go through it yourself because I actually
- 1:44Speaker 2: had to do.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The same thing. My mom gave me a lot of
- 1:47Speaker 1: advice that I didn't.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Take at the time, and after looking back, I was like, oop,
- 1:53Speaker 2: like I wish I would have listened to my mom.
- 1:56Speaker 2: And I can think of like one thing, you know,
- 1:59Speaker 2: specifically like my mom when you know your mom, you know,
- 2:03Speaker 2: and my mom, which is your aguela, would always tell
- 2:06Speaker 2: me as many times as you want, like you can
- 2:10Speaker 2: get married and divorced as many times as you want.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Thank you for finishing this sentence.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Okay, so you even remember my mom's advice, of.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Course, but you see it so it's thinking in because you.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Know what I like, who you married so you can
- 2:26Speaker 2: have and you didn't have children, So basically, Peter's just
- 2:30Speaker 2: finishing the line so you can get married and divorced
- 2:32Speaker 2: as many times as you like, even though we like
- 2:34Speaker 2: it to be one. But who you have children changes
- 2:38Speaker 2: your entire life, and there will be part of your life.
- 2:40Speaker 1: For your entire life.
- 2:43Speaker 2: And I think that we know that because you know,
- 2:46Speaker 2: your father still plays you know, a big role, you know,
- 2:50Speaker 2: in our lives. So, like we said, that was one
- 2:52Speaker 2: of the advices that I think of my mom all
- 2:53Speaker 2: the time. And it's true, you know, you it's somebody
- 2:56Speaker 2: when you have children, it really changes your life and
- 2:59Speaker 2: you really you adopt him and his family as your
- 3:02Speaker 2: family as well.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And I'm glad.
- 3:05Speaker 3: You'd say, well.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I didn't take it.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I married your dad, but in a good way, because look,
- 3:11Speaker 2: I have two beautiful children. I have you and your brother,
- 3:14Speaker 2: you know, And that's how I see it. It's it's
- 3:15Speaker 2: actually like how you see things, right, You can see things.
- 3:18Speaker 1: However you want to see them. But no, I don't
- 3:22Speaker 1: think she's.
- 3:24Speaker 2: No because you know, we worry about right, which is
- 3:26Speaker 2: like what I worry about with you two now.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's like you know, yes, you're super in love and
- 3:30Speaker 1: you get married and blah blah blah.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But then you have kids and it's really forever, like
- 3:34Speaker 2: your relationship might not work out, but once there's children involved,
- 3:37Speaker 2: everything changes. And I think that that's you know, a
- 3:41Speaker 2: very good advice, you know, but again, you never I
- 3:43Speaker 2: never took it.
- 3:44Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:44Speaker 2: It's kind of like, oh, you know, I'm in love,
- 3:46Speaker 2: I'm still gonna get married, I'm still gona have kids
- 3:47Speaker 2: and whatever. But you know, at the end, it's kind
- 3:50Speaker 2: of like, you know, you pay for everything, like by
- 3:53Speaker 2: a bordeaux, you know, and you learn from it. It's
- 3:56Speaker 2: really not in a way like I know back then,
- 3:58Speaker 2: you know, the parents used to say that like oh,
- 3:59Speaker 2: you know, like you're going to pay for it, But
- 4:01Speaker 2: you know, I like to see it like a life lesson,
- 4:03Speaker 2: you know, and you learn from it. And I think
- 4:05Speaker 2: that you you do listen to my advice.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And maybe not at the moment right when.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I tell you, but I feel like, you know, it's
- 4:13Speaker 2: it's somewhere in there and it's like it sings in
- 4:15Speaker 2: and I think and you know, in the last year,
- 4:17Speaker 2: for example, you've been listening to it.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You know.
- 4:20Speaker 3: We have a small, close type family, so I don't
- 4:27Speaker 3: just take it as advice. I take it as everything
- 4:30Speaker 3: speaking to you just some you know, I think that.
- 4:33Speaker 2: We're like in a relationship now, you know where you're
- 4:35Speaker 2: obviously older, so we're like we're friends and I give
- 4:38Speaker 2: you advice, you know, not only as your mother, but
- 4:40Speaker 2: like as a friend, as a woman.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Like somebody that she doesn't set me down on the
- 4:44Speaker 3: counch to be like Peter. No, we talk, we go
- 4:47Speaker 3: to lunch. It's completely different.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Right, the dynamics are have obviously changed because with age
- 4:54Speaker 2: and maturity, and you know, we we've established that my mom,
- 4:58Speaker 2: you know, so my mom was just like kiatrist and
- 5:00Speaker 2: you know that Peter, we missed her so much because
- 5:03Speaker 2: my mom was so therapeutic, Like she would be talking
- 5:06Speaker 2: and giving us advice and therapy without us even realizing it.
- 5:09Speaker 2: So we literally had like our free psychiatrists the whole time,
- 5:12Speaker 2: you know, giving us, giving us advice. But even my mom,
- 5:15Speaker 2: as a psychiatrist, knew that even though people paid her
- 5:18Speaker 2: to give her such good advice, she would give it
- 5:21Speaker 2: to me for free and I wouldn't take it. So
- 5:23Speaker 2: with some moral of the story that we have to
- 5:25Speaker 2: go through like our own life, lessons and learn from
- 5:27Speaker 2: it ourselves.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So that was my mom.
- 5:30Speaker 2: So my dad, for example, my dad would always tell
- 5:32Speaker 2: me like I had to have a degree, no matter what.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I had to graduate, you know, from college, and I
- 5:40Speaker 2: had to have a degree because a degree was so important.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So my dad always really reiterated the fact that a
- 5:47Speaker 2: woman must have a career and be self sufficient and
- 5:52Speaker 2: that would really be you know, life changing. And you
- 5:55Speaker 2: never knew, you know, because obviously back then, you know,
- 5:57Speaker 2: your parents always wanted for you to be married forever,
- 6:00Speaker 2: but really not as a career. You know, they wanted
- 6:03Speaker 2: to maybe will want to be a stay at home
- 6:05Speaker 2: mom and a housewife. You still have to have a
- 6:08Speaker 2: degree and something to fall on. So I think that's
- 6:12Speaker 2: the best advice that my dad gave me, and I
- 6:16Speaker 2: totally took it.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I regret not going to law school because.
- 6:18Speaker 2: My father passed away and I was accepted into law
- 6:22Speaker 2: school and everything, but I had the conflict that I
- 6:24Speaker 2: didn't know that I wanted to, you know, be an
- 6:27Speaker 2: attorney and work all these hours and maybe not spend
- 6:30Speaker 2: as much time with my kids. So I just decided
- 6:32Speaker 2: to get my master's in special led and have a
- 6:34Speaker 2: career where I can, you know, take my kids to
- 6:37Speaker 2: school in the morning, spend more time with him, have
- 6:39Speaker 2: summers off. So that was a personal decision, but my
- 6:43Speaker 2: father always the best advice was like, you have to
- 6:46Speaker 2: go to school and have a degree, which I also
- 6:49Speaker 2: told you.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I feel like all the advice that A will, A,
- 6:53Speaker 1: Nancy and my dad gave me.
- 6:56Speaker 3: And I'm sure I'll give some of it to my
- 6:58Speaker 3: kids one day.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I hope.
- 6:59Speaker 2: So, I hope so, because you know, all we as
- 7:01Speaker 2: parents do is, you know, we try to protect you
- 7:04Speaker 2: and save you.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And and I think.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Especially us, like Latina moms, I think we're a little
- 7:09Speaker 2: bit more overbearing, aggressive one in the delivery or in
- 7:14Speaker 2: the advice right because someone we passionate.
- 7:18Speaker 1: We're very passionate, you know.
- 7:21Speaker 2: And I think that and that it shows I have
- 7:24Speaker 2: some of the questions that I feel like, you know,
- 7:28Speaker 2: some of the people listening to us and that have
- 7:30Speaker 2: been watching you, you know, and been watching me you
- 7:33Speaker 2: know on TV and the Housewives, and have been watching
- 7:36Speaker 2: you since you were a young boy. Every teen experience
- 7:40Speaker 2: is growing paints. But do you resent the fact I
- 7:43Speaker 2: think we've talked about this, like you and I sometimes
- 7:45Speaker 2: do you resent the fact that you had to grow
- 7:48Speaker 2: up on national TV because honestly, it was something I
- 7:52Speaker 2: wanted to do, and you were still a young boy,
- 7:54Speaker 2: and I never really asked you and your brother I
- 7:56Speaker 2: kind of did. I said, oh, you guys want to
- 7:58Speaker 2: be on the show.
- 7:59Speaker 3: I was cast for a show, and I was the
- 8:02Speaker 3: one that recommended it to you.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Like, hey, you told me about it, and I.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Already knew all of that entailed, and I was already casting,
- 8:11Speaker 3: doing the casting for a TV show, and I knew
- 8:13Speaker 3: everything that was going to come with that. So since
- 8:16Speaker 3: the beginning, I honestly never had a problem. And I
- 8:21Speaker 3: had to model and made for the camera and commercials, editorial,
- 8:24Speaker 3: all this stuff, so it really it made no difference
- 8:29Speaker 3: to me, honestly, right, No.
- 8:31Speaker 2: You were pretty comfortable with it, you know. I think
- 8:33Speaker 2: also though you were really young and you didn't know.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I remember when this talk came about the show. My
- 8:39Speaker 2: concern was that it was going to open our lives
- 8:43Speaker 2: to be so public, and with that a lot of
- 8:47Speaker 2: things from maybe our past or our family's past was
- 8:49Speaker 2: going to come out. And since I had always raised
- 8:52Speaker 2: you in a way to protect you from all that,
- 8:55Speaker 2: I said, well, maybe now's the time to have the
- 8:57Speaker 2: conversation with you and tell you a few things you
- 8:59Speaker 2: didn't know about our family because I was afraid that
- 9:02Speaker 2: it was going to come out. So that's what was
- 9:04Speaker 2: holding me back. But truthfully, you know, I never asked
- 9:09Speaker 2: you or your brother. Your brother was only thirteen years old,
- 9:11Speaker 2: whether you know, it was okay, and I mean not
- 9:15Speaker 2: that at that age you would have really, you know,
- 9:17Speaker 2: had like power over me. But I think if you
- 9:20Speaker 2: both would have said no, like we hate it, we
- 9:22Speaker 2: don't want to be part of this, then maybe I
- 9:24Speaker 2: wouldn't have done it. But you know, because already as
- 9:29Speaker 2: growing up as teenagers, it's tough to be on a
- 9:31Speaker 2: show like that, you know. And sometimes I feel like, well,
- 9:35Speaker 2: you know, you don't resent me, That's what I want
- 9:38Speaker 2: to know.
- 9:38Speaker 3: I think you're just different Bread And honestly, it doesn't matter.
- 9:42Speaker 3: He loved it. He was young, and he loved dressing up.
- 9:45Speaker 3: He yeah, he was like, yeah, I'm on a TV show,
- 9:47Speaker 3: what's up?
- 9:48Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 9:49Speaker 2: So he still loves it, by the way, and Frankie
- 9:51Speaker 2: is a favor. He's always been like that kid that
- 9:54Speaker 2: loved the camera, that you know, that loved people, that
- 9:57Speaker 2: loved expressing himself and.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I thought it was fun. To be honest,
- 10:05Speaker 3: I got I mean, it's a great platform. So whatever
- 10:08Speaker 3: you're doing, whether it was music, modeling, baseball, whatever it was,
- 10:13Speaker 3: I saw it as something cool. There's some kids get
- 10:15Speaker 3: nervous or this. What are they going to think? Oh
- 10:19Speaker 3: I didn't. Me and Frank you were just like, we're
- 10:22Speaker 3: just not like that, and we were could have been
- 10:26Speaker 3: anything TV show, And I.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Mean I felt the same, And as a parent, I
- 10:30Speaker 2: did it, you know, thinking it was going to be
- 10:32Speaker 2: something good and positive for both of you. And I
- 10:36Speaker 2: think as a parent, you know, as long as you
- 10:38Speaker 2: when you make the decisions that it's always you know, something
- 10:41Speaker 2: positive about it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: That's that's why I did it.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I thought it was going to be something good for
- 10:45Speaker 2: our family and for us. Like you said, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 2: you were an athlete, you were modeling, you know. I
- 10:50Speaker 2: thought it was going to be a great platform for
- 10:52Speaker 2: you and your brother the same. Your brother liked to
- 10:54Speaker 2: sing and and perform and do all that kind of stuff.
- 10:58Speaker 2: So I really did it for those reasons. I had
- 11:01Speaker 2: the magazine at the time. I thought it was a
- 11:03Speaker 2: great platform as well. But you know, sometimes it doesn't
- 11:07Speaker 2: always turn out that way right, and sometimes, like everything
- 11:11Speaker 2: in life, there's pros and there's cons.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean the only ones that are opposed to
- 11:15Speaker 3: doing the show always are the husbands. And I think
- 11:17Speaker 3: we all know that.
- 11:19Speaker 2: But I mean as a child, as a teenager, you
- 11:22Speaker 2: were okay with it. It's not like my mom made
- 11:24Speaker 2: me do it.
- 11:25Speaker 3: No. I mean eventually, you know, it kind of gets
- 11:27Speaker 3: annoying you oh hell ives, oh like your son. So
- 11:31Speaker 3: after a while, you know, kind of gets annoying. But
- 11:34Speaker 3: that it comes with it. You know, your pros and cons.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Any little thing you do, you know you have to
- 11:41Speaker 3: double think what you're doing and what you post and
- 11:44Speaker 3: all that. And I definitely made a mistakes when I
- 11:47Speaker 3: was younger and I didn't think about any of that,
- 11:50Speaker 3: and that was definitely difficult for me. And it took
- 11:53Speaker 3: me a while to kind of like grow up and
- 11:57Speaker 3: you know, get some sense into my head. But you know,
- 12:01Speaker 3: so I would say that was the most difficult part
- 12:03Speaker 3: for sure. And then as life starts to get more
- 12:07Speaker 3: serious and intense and problems come about, those problems become public,
- 12:12Speaker 3: so you know, all the worst things like that kind
- 12:17Speaker 3: of just like intensifies it. A lot more people come
- 12:20Speaker 3: up to you, you know, and something, oh, Lex, how
- 12:22Speaker 3: are you feeling? You know, It's it's a lot, but
- 12:25Speaker 3: it makes you stronger. And I feel like once you
- 12:29Speaker 3: persevere and you're able to go through that, people see that,
- 12:32Speaker 3: and there's people out there that need to hear that
- 12:35Speaker 3: or are in similar situations.
- 12:37Speaker 2: So but it's something as a mom that I've always
- 12:39Speaker 2: like thought too, like, well, maybe if I wouldn't have
- 12:41Speaker 2: done the show, like you know, your lessons wouldn't have
- 12:45Speaker 2: been so public, or maybe those things wouldn't have even happened,
- 12:48Speaker 2: you know, as a result of the show, and as
- 12:49Speaker 2: a result of our family being more public, sometimes they
- 12:53Speaker 2: kind of like pick on us or like, you know,
- 12:55Speaker 2: they make things worse instead of better. And I think
- 12:59Speaker 2: that that's why it's so easy for me to talk
- 13:00Speaker 2: on these topics that we're going to talk about today,
- 13:02Speaker 2: as far as you know, Hayley Beaber and Jonah Hill
- 13:07Speaker 2: and the other things we're going to talk about today,
- 13:09Speaker 2: because you know, all these people are growing up in
- 13:12Speaker 2: the public eye and now with social media, there's no secrets,
- 13:16Speaker 2: and everybody's just like made it a point to be
- 13:19Speaker 2: oversharing and to you know, take o their personal lives
- 13:23Speaker 2: you know, onto social media.
- 13:25Speaker 1: You know, at least they pay us for it. I'm kidding,
- 13:27Speaker 1: but it's true.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I mean it's kind of like, you know, I feel
- 13:29Speaker 2: like if you want to be like, if you want
- 13:31Speaker 2: to be so public.
- 13:32Speaker 1: About it, then just having a reality show, right.
- 13:34Speaker 3: I don't know, but like it's ridiculous when you see
- 13:36Speaker 3: all these successful, happy people whatever they want to just
- 13:40Speaker 3: post it on the Instagram and all this.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Right, Well, I think funny about our family now that
- 13:44Speaker 2: you say that, is that, for example, one a reality show.
- 13:47Speaker 2: But we're I'm pretty I'm pretty private when it comes
- 13:50Speaker 2: to like social media. On Instagram, I post the minimal
- 13:54Speaker 2: and we're going to be talking about that today, you know,
- 13:56Speaker 2: as far as the other topics we're going to talk about.
- 13:59Speaker 2: And people are like, but you're so open, like on
- 14:01Speaker 2: your show when you're in a reality show, and like,
- 14:03Speaker 2: why don't you like post more on social media?
- 14:05Speaker 1: And I said, because I don't like it. I don't
- 14:08Speaker 1: enjoy it.
- 14:08Speaker 2: And I mean, I think a lot of the social
- 14:10Speaker 2: media now is like is a fraud and it's fake.
- 14:13Speaker 2: And I've spoken to Marisol about this and other times
- 14:16Speaker 2: you've done the podcast, and it's something that I'm not
- 14:18Speaker 2: comfortable about yet. You put the camera in front of me,
- 14:21Speaker 2: like when we're doing the show, and I'm so genuine
- 14:24Speaker 2: and transparent and just you know, and just honest. And
- 14:29Speaker 2: that's a different, you know, a different platform or I guess,
- 14:32Speaker 2: you know, than social media.
- 14:35Speaker 1: So I've always wanted to ask you that.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I know we've talked about it sometimes before, but I
- 14:40Speaker 2: just want to make sure that you don't resent me.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I know when sometimes in your life that things have
- 14:46Speaker 2: happened to you in a way you're like, mom, that's
- 14:48Speaker 2: because I was on the show with you.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, on the show. I mean probably would.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Have not done that kind of attention.
- 14:56Speaker 2: And usually, by the way, it's negative attention, right, because
- 14:59Speaker 2: nobody wants to read about or hear about how great
- 15:01Speaker 2: you're doing in life and how successful you are and
- 15:04Speaker 2: how you know, people just like to hear like the
- 15:06Speaker 2: bad news.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Unfortunately, that's what it is, right.
- 15:09Speaker 2: You grow thick skin, and you know, and like you said,
- 15:13Speaker 2: you know, through pain and life lessons and maturity and
- 15:16Speaker 2: all that, you just you know, you it's growth. I mean,
- 15:19Speaker 2: like that's what happens. And you've been doing this for
- 15:22Speaker 2: a long time, so it's kind of like okay, so okay,
- 15:25Speaker 2: who cares what else?
- 15:26Speaker 1: I mean?
- 15:26Speaker 2: You know, it's just like you know, you handle it
- 15:28Speaker 2: pretty well done, you do. Some people don't believe me,
- 15:33Speaker 2: and there's some like you know, older people that don't
- 15:35Speaker 2: handle it very well.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Just our family history. You think of reality TV show
- 15:40Speaker 3: is going to make me flinch?
- 15:42Speaker 1: Okay, it's just right. Well, my life has been like
- 15:45Speaker 1: a telling overla.
- 15:46Speaker 3: So we know that it is on TV. So I think, right,
- 15:51Speaker 3: you have a lot of stories, stories, but a lot
- 15:54Speaker 3: of insight to give to people, and if it wasn't
- 15:57Speaker 3: for the show, you.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Wouldn't, right, right, So with that you take the good
- 16:03Speaker 1: and the bad. And that's like what I say.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Okay, Well, you know, I'm sharing my life and I'm
- 16:07Speaker 2: being vulnerable and I'm opening up my life and you know,
- 16:10Speaker 2: different things that have gone through in my life and
- 16:12Speaker 2: hopefully I can inspire people and help people, and that's
- 16:15Speaker 2: why I do it. And you know, when when I
- 16:18Speaker 2: don't have that story anymore, nothing good to offer, then
- 16:21Speaker 2: you know, I'm just I guess it'll be the time
- 16:22Speaker 2: that I won't do it anymore, because you know, I
- 16:25Speaker 2: feel like I have a responsibility as a public person.
- 16:29Speaker 2: To do that, you know, And that's like what I
- 16:31Speaker 2: try to tell you too. So my social media is
- 16:33Speaker 2: very like boring. It's just like whatever. I don't really
- 16:35Speaker 2: care for it, and I tell you to, you know,
- 16:37Speaker 2: to post as little because you know, unfortunately people only
- 16:40Speaker 2: want to make a comment like something mean and bad.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I'm like, and I've always had the rule, if you
- 16:45Speaker 2: have nothing to say nice, then don't say it. I'm
- 16:56Speaker 2: another question for you, Like, I don't even know if
- 16:59Speaker 2: I've ever asked you this, do you what was your
- 17:01Speaker 2: reaction that we're talking about a little bit about everything.
- 17:05Speaker 2: What was your reaction when you saw cocaine Cowboys?
- 17:09Speaker 3: We were always trying to like get the when I say,
- 17:12Speaker 3: we as me and my dad, and I was really
- 17:14Speaker 3: the only one that supported it. My mom supports will
- 17:17Speaker 3: always support them. You know. Well, I don't know about
- 17:20Speaker 3: the story. I don't yeah, yeah, yeah, well we can
- 17:23Speaker 3: get into that after you just happened to be part
- 17:25Speaker 3: of it. So but so basically, no.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm just like, how did you feel when you saw that?
- 17:33Speaker 2: Because you're we're talking about about youth growing up as
- 17:38Speaker 2: a teenager on national TV, but then now your father
- 17:42Speaker 2: comes out on Netflix without anybody knowing by the way,
- 17:45Speaker 2: when I saw the trader with myself and I dropped
- 17:47Speaker 2: to the floor. So how did you feel? What was
- 17:50Speaker 2: your reaction when you saw cocaine cowboys?
- 17:53Speaker 3: Zero reaction?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Really?
- 17:55Speaker 3: Since high school? Oh your dad, Pete? Your dad? Is they?
- 18:01Speaker 3: Since ninth grade, it's been like this, so it came
- 18:05Speaker 3: out everyone already knew, Oh it's Peter's dad. Oh, they
- 18:09Speaker 3: already knew half of the stories.
- 18:11Speaker 1: You know, But how did you feel? Seeing like you're the.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Only thing that made me feel a different type of
- 18:16Speaker 3: way was finding out all these stories and putting all
- 18:20Speaker 3: these like puzzle pieces together that were like not there.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Had all these questions in my head when I grew up.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Why did I go to Spain? Why was I here?
- 18:30Speaker 3: Why did we move here? Why wasn't why wasn't my
- 18:33Speaker 3: dad at my baseball games? Why was you know? So
- 18:36Speaker 3: all these things I just didn't understand while growing up.
- 18:39Speaker 3: And I would see like other families and this and that,
- 18:42Speaker 3: and I was like, I was just I always told you.
- 18:45Speaker 2: That your dad was in school, he was like in
- 18:48Speaker 2: a ten year program in college.
- 18:50Speaker 1: No five year program.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Yeah, And then I start like so little by little
- 18:55Speaker 3: watching it you know, I started to hear all these
- 18:57Speaker 3: stories and I'm like, WTF, and basically, were you ashamed that?
- 19:08Speaker 1: For example?
- 19:09Speaker 2: I was like, like, I've said this before, Like I
- 19:12Speaker 2: was ashamed before about that story about you know, about
- 19:19Speaker 2: many things in my life have been ashamed, and I
- 19:20Speaker 2: think being on my reality show has helped me talk
- 19:25Speaker 2: about a lot of things that I felt uncomfortable and
- 19:27Speaker 2: ashamed about before, you know, in my family and about
- 19:30Speaker 2: decisions that I had made and how I had lived
- 19:32Speaker 2: my life. But now after your brother's accident that I
- 19:36Speaker 2: started writing my book, which is not finished by the way,
- 19:39Speaker 2: When I started writing things down, it was therapeutic and
- 19:42Speaker 2: actually felt better, and I said, wow. I'm like, so
- 19:44Speaker 2: I've gone through like all these things in my life
- 19:47Speaker 2: and I've gone back up and I've come back even stronger,
- 19:51Speaker 2: and I've been a great mom and doing good and
- 19:53Speaker 2: being good, you know. And I was just kind of
- 19:55Speaker 2: like a victim of falling in love with somebody that
- 19:57Speaker 2: happened to have that life, which, by the way, I
- 19:59Speaker 2: don't know about it. To me, a lot of the
- 20:02Speaker 2: stuff was new too. I was like, what.
- 20:04Speaker 3: A lot of people come up to me, They're like, hey,
- 20:06Speaker 3: your dad's a gangster. But you know who the real
- 20:09Speaker 3: gangster is, your mother.
- 20:10Speaker 1: And I'm like, yes, but yeah, I don't really consider
- 20:14Speaker 1: myself that I do.
- 20:16Speaker 3: But you're real and you held it down, and yeah
- 20:18Speaker 3: I did. People really took that into account and noticed that,
- 20:23Speaker 3: you know, and yeah.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I'm always going to hold it down. And even when
- 20:26Speaker 2: things are terrible, like you see a smile, put on
- 20:31Speaker 2: my red lipstick and I go out there and I
- 20:33Speaker 2: figure it out, and you know, and and I fight
- 20:36Speaker 2: for everything I have because that's that's how it is.
- 20:39Speaker 1: You know, you have to do that. That was another
- 20:40Speaker 1: advice my my parents gave me.
- 20:42Speaker 3: But I was never seen.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Never let people see what you're going through. You go
- 20:46Speaker 2: through it on your own. You put that smile on
- 20:48Speaker 2: your face and you go out there and you do
- 20:49Speaker 2: what you have to do.
- 20:51Speaker 3: But we were always pushing waiting for someone to pick
- 20:54Speaker 3: up the project. So as soon as it happened, it
- 20:56Speaker 3: was like dream come true and we were ready to go.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I mean, I think it was. I thought it was
- 21:01Speaker 1: important for him to say so out of the story.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I didn't like that he didn't get paid for it,
- 21:04Speaker 2: or that, you know, it took advantage that way. Again,
- 21:09Speaker 2: him being you know what else or whatever. But you know,
- 21:12Speaker 2: I've always like I wanted to ask you that, like,
- 21:14Speaker 2: how do you feel like? You know, we're besides that,
- 21:18Speaker 2: you know, we're on this reality TV show, and then
- 21:20Speaker 2: your dad, you know.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Has Ya he's on Netflix.
- 21:24Speaker 1: A docuseries, you know on Netflix.
- 21:27Speaker 2: So it's like, okay, like you know, not Peter, you know,
- 21:31Speaker 2: because you know your mom and dad you know this,
- 21:34Speaker 2: but you know, like I want to see how how
- 21:35Speaker 2: you felt.
- 21:36Speaker 1: So you're You're good with it, You're.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Even though there's terrible things that I wish never happened,
- 21:41Speaker 3: but another day, it's your family and that's your blood
- 21:44Speaker 3: and they love you no matter what, and so you should.
- 21:48Speaker 2: You should love your father, you know, unconditionally. You know
- 21:50Speaker 2: that that that's what it is.
- 21:52Speaker 1: But we're not. That's not the conversation.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I just wanted to know how you felt when you
- 21:57Speaker 2: saw I was surprised because this was something that he
- 22:00Speaker 2: talked about and that I went and I did an
- 22:02Speaker 2: interview kind of to like support. They wanted to interview me,
- 22:04Speaker 2: and I said, of course, I do you want anything
- 22:05Speaker 2: to help you out?
- 22:06Speaker 1: Why not?
- 22:07Speaker 2: And they asked me some questions and then seven eight
- 22:10Speaker 2: nine years later, it's on it's a Netflix, so like
- 22:13Speaker 2: for me, and it was kind of like at the
- 22:15Speaker 2: same time that our show had come back season four,
- 22:17Speaker 2: so I was like, Okay, I wasn't waiting for this
- 22:21Speaker 2: or expecting this, but then again, you know, yeah, neither.
- 22:25Speaker 1: My life is like that, so that's fine.
- 22:26Speaker 3: No. It was the reason why I say I was
- 22:28Speaker 3: really happy is because finally something paid off for him, because.
- 22:32Speaker 2: A lot of times people never have that chance, never
- 22:35Speaker 2: have that opportunity. So I'm happy for him that he
- 22:38Speaker 2: got to say his story. Yeah, well, speaking about what
- 22:42Speaker 2: we want to know about, do you want to know
- 22:44Speaker 2: anything about Hailee Berry?
- 22:46Speaker 3: Hailee Berry?
- 22:46Speaker 1: Wait no, Hailey Bieber? Sorry, missus Bieber, missus Bieber.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Okay, well, apparently they are Auandola of a first trap
- 22:58Speaker 2: if she's doing what she's posting bikini picks, Like what do.
- 23:01Speaker 1: You think that happened?
- 23:02Speaker 2: For example, she posted the pic of like the little
- 23:04Speaker 2: teeny waity bikini and then she deleted it moment like instantly.
- 23:10Speaker 2: People want to say it's because he's controlling and he
- 23:12Speaker 2: made her like take it off, like oh yeah, Gita,
- 23:14Speaker 2: so you know, like.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Deleted, Yeah, she was going to the story would be completely.
- 23:22Speaker 2: With a Canadian Canadiano. But you know, I don't want
- 23:26Speaker 2: to think that. I don't want to think why are
- 23:28Speaker 2: we always blaming other people? So why are we blaming
- 23:32Speaker 2: Justin bab for telling her like, take it off, take
- 23:36Speaker 2: it down, because he's controlling, you know. Sometimes you know,
- 23:39Speaker 2: maybe she had a shot or she had like too
- 23:41Speaker 2: much to drink, and she was feeling some sort of
- 23:44Speaker 2: way so she posted like you know that that picture
- 23:46Speaker 2: and then she's like and then you're feeling like insecure
- 23:48Speaker 2: and you're like, oh, let me delete it, right. I mean,
- 23:51Speaker 2: that's how That's how I want to see it. But
- 23:53Speaker 2: I feel like Laine, like they're always looking for a problem.
- 23:56Speaker 2: They're like, oh, he's it's you know, it's just In
- 23:59Speaker 2: Baber that Like he's so controlling, he made her take
- 24:01Speaker 2: it off, take it down. I mean, I feel like
- 24:05Speaker 2: Kaylee Beaver's had it really difficult as far as being
- 24:07Speaker 2: married to Justin because I felt like everybody loved Selena
- 24:10Speaker 2: Gomez so much. Okay, she was never gonna like be
- 24:13Speaker 2: Selena and she was never going to get receive that
- 24:17Speaker 2: love that everyone had with Selena and Justin when they
- 24:21Speaker 2: were together.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I mean, they were always in the friend group between
- 24:24Speaker 3: like Candle Justin David Candle, He's he's slept with all
- 24:29Speaker 3: of her friends and little Mary and Haley.
- 24:31Speaker 1: They ask her, that's what I always say.
- 24:36Speaker 3: I've never heard that one.
- 24:37Speaker 1: We say it, okay here in Miami, that's what I
- 24:40Speaker 1: say my friend group.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Okay, well I don't want to hear it, but.
- 24:43Speaker 1: That's what it is.
- 24:46Speaker 2: But yeah, but again, you know, I think that you
- 24:50Speaker 2: know that she's young, she's a model.
- 24:52Speaker 1: This is what she does.
- 24:53Speaker 2: You can have a change of heart, a change of
- 24:55Speaker 2: you know, the moment, and you're like, oh shit, like
- 24:57Speaker 2: I shouldn't have posted that, let.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Me delete it. But I don't.
- 25:00Speaker 2: And I think that it's because he's controlling, you know,
- 25:03Speaker 2: And I feel like she has a lot of pressure.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Like all her friends are like posting half naked pictures,
- 25:08Speaker 2: you know what I mean, even like you know, Gomez
- 25:10Speaker 2: was like posting pictures of like her boobs. So it's
- 25:13Speaker 2: kind of like, you know what, me, all my friends
- 25:15Speaker 2: are doing the same thing that are my age, So
- 25:17Speaker 2: let me be a little bit more provocative.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. I just think we should just
- 25:22Speaker 1: get rid of the Instagram.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Truthfully, I would give it up right now? Can anybody
- 25:26Speaker 2: come just shut down the whole thing? No, I don't
- 25:29Speaker 2: need it, you know. I think it's like a lot
- 25:30Speaker 2: of these girls need the validation. You know a lot
- 25:33Speaker 2: of people on social media. That's what they're looking for.
- 25:36Speaker 2: That's validation. Get get it, get Haley. What do you
- 25:38Speaker 2: think they're going to tell Haley? Oh my god, you're
- 25:40Speaker 2: so high? Oh my god, the emoji, the file.
- 25:42Speaker 3: It's how many privileged girls that go to good schools
- 25:47Speaker 3: come from good families. They have all the connections, they
- 25:51Speaker 3: could do whatever they want, but nothing makes them feel
- 25:54Speaker 3: better than looking like woll now.
- 25:56Speaker 1: But really, well, you know, it's a very sad thing
- 26:00Speaker 1: for me. It's a very sad thing.
- 26:01Speaker 2: And instead of coming out with more apps and more
- 26:04Speaker 2: stuff like that, they need to find a way shut
- 26:07Speaker 2: them all down because no boil. I can't like honestly,
- 26:11Speaker 2: it just makes me like very sad. So of course
- 26:23Speaker 2: I follow Sophia Regatta, and Sophia and Joe are going
- 26:30Speaker 2: their separate race. I get you know, is it a
- 26:34Speaker 2: seven year rich? I think in those are we agreeing
- 26:37Speaker 2: that the seven year itch exists? Went between Sophia and Joe,
- 26:40Speaker 2: It obviously did, because they're announcing that they are separating.
- 26:45Speaker 2: I did find it strange though, And you see that's
- 26:48Speaker 2: where people are looking at the fact that he said,
- 26:51Speaker 2: you know, Felicuo Sophia and the picture was a blurred picture.
- 26:55Speaker 1: That's kind of like a sign.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I didn't see the picture either, but now I'm looking
- 26:59Speaker 2: at it and it's like a blurry. It's kind of
- 27:01Speaker 2: like it was in the past. It's kind of like
- 27:03Speaker 2: an indication. Oh deeople.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Still he knew exactly what he was doing.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Look at Shakira with Jimmy Butler. Now, so who knows
- 27:11Speaker 3: what Shakira.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I love about Shakira.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Jimmy Butler came with some news today in me see
- 27:21Speaker 2: men Ganta.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Uh uh yeah, so let's see what what Sophie gets
- 27:28Speaker 3: gets into, you know, different different in her life, you know.
- 27:32Speaker 1: So yeah, listen, I'm very happy for Shakida.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I talk about her here all the time because we
- 27:36Speaker 2: love her, and I love that she moved to Miami
- 27:38Speaker 2: and then she's you know, dating different people because you
- 27:42Speaker 2: know what I mean, it's important, you know, as a
- 27:45Speaker 2: woman especially I feel like women. I mean, in this case,
- 27:48Speaker 2: I don't know she Sophia or Jodeja, Sophia or with
- 27:51Speaker 2: something mutual. We don't have any information at this point.
- 27:54Speaker 2: With Shakira, it was like her husband was cheated on her,
- 27:58Speaker 2: So you know, I haven't in that case, even though
- 28:01Speaker 2: people think I have. It was different and it was
- 28:04Speaker 2: with a different sex, so that doesn't county very different
- 28:09Speaker 2: and I prefer it that way, by the way. So
- 28:12Speaker 2: but in this case do not. You don't know who
- 28:15Speaker 2: left too, And sometimes that makes a difference. A lot
- 28:17Speaker 2: of times, I want to say it makes a difference
- 28:19Speaker 2: because you know, you feel as a woman, you feel
- 28:22Speaker 2: like you feel bad about yourself.
- 28:24Speaker 1: You know, your self esteem is affected.
- 28:26Speaker 2: And even though you're a mega superstar like Shakira and
- 28:28Speaker 2: you're beautiful and you have a great body, and you
- 28:30Speaker 2: can sing and and you have everything else going for you,
- 28:32Speaker 2: it makes you feel bad about yourself when a man
- 28:35Speaker 2: that you never expected that you love doesn't, you know,
- 28:38Speaker 2: it's a betrayal.
- 28:39Speaker 3: And it's between her and Jimmy. It's a thirteen year difference.
- 28:43Speaker 1: She likes him young.
- 28:45Speaker 2: I like that, Maita likes the young the young one,
- 28:50Speaker 2: Ladina Latina or everything.
- 28:53Speaker 3: They're saying that what went to the game, Like that's
- 28:57Speaker 3: when Jimmy started to play bad Game three against Boston.
- 29:01Speaker 3: So there's all these people Miami.
- 29:05Speaker 2: She went to the gate, Na, we're eliminating you because
- 29:10Speaker 2: Miami heat is.
- 29:11Speaker 3: The way the playoffs come. I'm sorry.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you can come to my house. We can watch together.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Here.
- 29:17Speaker 2: We'll be ruining for Jimmy and they able the point.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Oh my god, how much fun. But you know what,
- 29:22Speaker 2: So you know, some people are happy, like Shakira and Jimmy,
- 29:26Speaker 2: but then some other people are sad, like Sophia and Joe,
- 29:29Speaker 2: because no matter what, a breakup is always very sad.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Hopefully it's amicable. Maybe maybe they could get back together.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Look at Sylvester Stallone and and Jennifer Plumb then went
- 29:39Speaker 2: back together. No, Sophia has a son, Manolo. I think
- 29:43Speaker 2: he's thirty one or thirty two, like you, from her
- 29:46Speaker 2: previous husband. Uh now, actually she never married him, I think.
- 29:49Speaker 2: But it's the father of her son. And and with Joe,
- 29:54Speaker 2: she has no kids.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Maybe that was the problem.
- 29:56Speaker 2: You guys should have had kids, because they don't have kids.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Joe and so I don't have kids. I don't want to, regardless,
- 30:03Speaker 2: I wish some of the best. How do you feel
- 30:06Speaker 2: about what's going on with with Jonah and Sarah. I
- 30:10Speaker 2: know that she claims that Jonah Hill is a misogynist.
- 30:15Speaker 1: And how did you say that in Spanish?
- 30:19Speaker 2: No, missoni, no, nota It sounds like masoita, but that
- 30:27Speaker 2: would be a masacist. But this is the misogynist all
- 30:33Speaker 2: the land. People love to say that, by the way, anyways,
- 30:38Speaker 2: but a misogynist is a person who dislikes or despises
- 30:43Speaker 2: or strongly prejudiced against women. I mean, I think that's
- 30:47Speaker 2: like really hard words. You know what she was calling Jonah,
- 30:50Speaker 2: where again, she's just showing what what Sarah, what his
- 30:54Speaker 2: ex girlfriend is trying to show is his text, and
- 30:58Speaker 2: his text is stayed.
- 31:01Speaker 1: That he has boundaries, so you know, he's.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Trying to establish the boundaries in his relationship with Sarah.
- 31:10Speaker 2: The fact that she would go publicly on her Instagram
- 31:15Speaker 2: and take a screenshot of it and put something that
- 31:19Speaker 2: was so personal between her and Jonah, which was a
- 31:22Speaker 2: boyfriend at the time, I found that really rude, disrespectful
- 31:26Speaker 2: and immature.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Definitely.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I mean, you're young and way younger than me, but
- 31:30Speaker 1: how do you feel about that?
- 31:31Speaker 2: And to me, this has no words. I mean, I
- 31:33Speaker 2: can't just believe that somebody could do that, like that
- 31:35Speaker 2: should not even be allowed.
- 31:37Speaker 3: First of all, that's why I thought Jonah Hill was
- 31:39Speaker 3: in the right at first, because I saw her post
- 31:42Speaker 3: this and his text about the boundaries, and he was
- 31:45Speaker 3: being very quote unquote nice, a little bit passive aggressive
- 31:49Speaker 3: because that text, yeah, from Jonah to her, because he
- 31:53Speaker 3: came off as, hey, these are my boundaries, but they
- 31:55Speaker 3: were kind of like, hey, these are my rules.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Okay, So I'm going to read one of the text
- 32:00Speaker 2: from Jonah plain and simple. If you need the following
- 32:04Speaker 2: surfing with men boundary less inappropriate friendships with men to model,
- 32:09Speaker 2: to post pictures of yourself in a bathing suit, to
- 32:11Speaker 2: post sexual pictures, friendships with women who are in stable
- 32:15Speaker 2: places from your wild's recent past, beyond getting lunch or
- 32:18Speaker 2: coffee or something respectful.
- 32:20Speaker 1: I am not the partner for you.
- 32:22Speaker 2: If these things bring you to a place of happiness,
- 32:25Speaker 2: I support it and there will be no hard feelings.
- 32:28Speaker 2: These are my boundaries for romantic partnership, my boundaries with
- 32:32Speaker 2: you based on the ways these actions have hurt our trust.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Okay.
- 32:39Speaker 2: So, first of all, I think that she's misusing the
- 32:44Speaker 2: term boundaries. As a matter of fact, I feel like
- 32:46Speaker 2: nowadays in social media, a lot of people are just
- 32:50Speaker 2: misusing terms like gas lighting, like I tell you something
- 32:53Speaker 2: you don't like, Oh, you're gaslighting me.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I mean even in my friend group.
- 32:57Speaker 2: By the way, I feel like all these girls are
- 32:59Speaker 2: alway is like, you know, inappropriately using the terms. So
- 33:04Speaker 2: I mean, boundaries I think are very important in any
- 33:08Speaker 2: kind of relationship. You know, whether it's husband and why
- 33:11Speaker 2: for like family, you know the family dynamics. I mean,
- 33:15Speaker 2: there's boundaries, and there's reasons why there's boundaries, right, Boundaries
- 33:19Speaker 2: and a relationship are kind of like this. They help
- 33:21Speaker 2: each person figure out where one person ends and the
- 33:24Speaker 2: other begins. In short, boundaries help you define what you're
- 33:27Speaker 2: comfortable with and how you would.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Like to be treated by others.
- 33:32Speaker 2: It's definitely a conversation that I think all couples and
- 33:35Speaker 2: all mature couples have. But boundaries are really not used
- 33:40Speaker 2: to tell the people what they can and they cannot do,
- 33:43Speaker 2: because then that would be controlling, Like you can't tell
- 33:46Speaker 2: the person you can't do this and you can't do that,
- 33:48Speaker 2: because that could be a little bit like manipulative and controlling.
- 33:54Speaker 2: That's right, But I feel like he was very clear
- 33:57Speaker 2: in telling her, Listen, I'm not the guy for you, Like,
- 34:00Speaker 2: if you want to do all these things, then I
- 34:03Speaker 2: can't be in a romantic relationship with you, right, I mean,
- 34:08Speaker 2: obviously she was already a surfer, and I guess if
- 34:10Speaker 2: you look at her Instagram, she already took bikini pictures
- 34:13Speaker 2: and surfing. And you know, I think the biggest problem
- 34:17Speaker 2: here is that if you already have those predisposed things
- 34:21Speaker 2: in your head, you should not be dating that, Like,
- 34:23Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Like if I don't want to,
- 34:26Speaker 2: you know, I feel like before you get into that relationship.
- 34:30Speaker 3: You should already have an idea of what to expect.
- 34:32Speaker 3: What you're getting into can change someone. So if you
- 34:36Speaker 3: see what she's doing this and that upsta, don't date
- 34:40Speaker 3: her or deal with it and talk about it. But
- 34:43Speaker 3: I mean, just for seeing Jonah Hill, no offense, Jonahill,
- 34:46Speaker 3: but you seem very insecure the way you act and
- 34:50Speaker 3: all these things about the go to the beach with her,
- 34:53Speaker 3: serve with her. It's not the end of the world.
- 34:57Speaker 3: So I think he's in security and his boundaries. He
- 35:00Speaker 3: really just wants to control her.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Okay, So you do have to make a lot of
- 35:06Speaker 2: sense what you're saying. Okay, and I'm glad that you're
- 35:09Speaker 2: saying something like that, right, because I'm more old school,
- 35:11Speaker 2: I'm more traditional, and I'm a little bit more mature obviously,
- 35:15Speaker 2: so with my relationships. I mean there's ways of course
- 35:17Speaker 2: saying things right, and I think like writing them down
- 35:20Speaker 2: like a to do list, you know. I think that
- 35:22Speaker 2: that's really like immature too and controlling and it could.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Come across wrong.
- 35:27Speaker 2: But it really bothered me that she goes on social
- 35:29Speaker 2: media to share this. So to me, a relationship is sacred.
- 35:32Speaker 2: It's between you and me, it's like between two people,
- 35:36Speaker 2: so like to say that publicly like that, to post
- 35:38Speaker 2: something like that, no.
- 35:39Speaker 3: One did you know who she was before she posted it? No, Well,
- 35:42Speaker 3: neither did anyone else, and that's why she did it.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Right.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Well, I think that that's the problem here too, right,
- 35:48Speaker 2: that he is the well known and you know, and
- 35:51Speaker 2: the actor and the celebrity there, and then she just
- 35:54Speaker 2: happened to be his girlfriend. And this is what she wants.
- 35:57Speaker 2: She started getting all this attention when she started dating him,
- 36:00Speaker 2: and now she she wants to take it to another
- 36:03Speaker 2: level and by doing something like that. But you see,
- 36:05Speaker 2: this is where I have a problem, like if you
- 36:09Speaker 2: have this kind of a problem, like, don't try to
- 36:12Speaker 2: make him look bad, don't try to make yourself look
- 36:14Speaker 2: good by making him look bad.
- 36:16Speaker 1: You know.
- 36:16Speaker 2: And I think a lot of women are really taking
- 36:18Speaker 2: advantage of like the woman's empowering thing nowadays.
- 36:22Speaker 1: And let me too, this whole movement, and let me
- 36:24Speaker 1: tell you something.
- 36:26Speaker 2: I'm like super like, you know, women, I'm all about
- 36:30Speaker 2: women and empowering women and all that, But you know,
- 36:33Speaker 2: I think that a lot of these women are really
- 36:35Speaker 2: taking it to a different like level, like why do
- 36:38Speaker 2: you have to do that?
- 36:39Speaker 1: Why do you have to put that and then make
- 36:41Speaker 1: him look bad?
- 36:42Speaker 2: No, you're immature and you're stupid, and you're handling just
- 36:45Speaker 2: really wrong. And it's really unfair to him because you know,
- 36:48Speaker 2: he has a career. You know, you're trying to picture
- 36:51Speaker 2: him in a way. Yeah, you're trying to picture him
- 36:54Speaker 2: in a way like he's abusive and manipulative and he's
- 36:58Speaker 2: affecting your mental health?
- 37:00Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? This text is affecting your mental health?
- 37:03Speaker 2: Omal I mean, how could you how can you take advantage?
- 37:07Speaker 1: And then the society is like okay with.
- 37:09Speaker 3: This, Yeah, so they take her side.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Yeah, because she's a woman, right, and oh my god,
- 37:14Speaker 2: you should like that should be a flag.
- 37:16Speaker 1: That's such a red flag, like you need to run
- 37:18Speaker 1: from a guy like this, Really you need to run.
- 37:21Speaker 2: No, my love, You're going to be many situations like
- 37:23Speaker 2: this where you learn, you need to learn how to
- 37:24Speaker 2: communicate and you know, and I think that he was
- 37:28Speaker 2: the mature one telling her, listen, I'm not the guy
- 37:30Speaker 2: for you. I support you in every way, but I'm
- 37:33Speaker 2: just not don't want to be in a romantic relationship
- 37:35Speaker 2: with somebody that.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Can make me happy because you know what, you know
- 37:38Speaker 1: what happens, Peter Kenna.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Pili konga, because all these things are going to hurt
- 37:43Speaker 2: and and you know, and disrespect the relationship. So he's
- 37:48Speaker 2: being honest and he's like, listen, if you you know
- 37:51Speaker 2: this is what I need, If you can give that
- 37:54Speaker 2: for me, then good.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Luck with with your life. And that's it. We're good.
- 37:57Speaker 1: You know.
- 37:58Speaker 2: I didn't see it in any negative way, but she
- 38:00Speaker 2: decided to turn it into Oh, I needed to talk
- 38:04Speaker 2: about this because it was affecting my mental health. All
- 38:07Speaker 2: these terms that they're using today, there's real mental people
- 38:10Speaker 2: with real mental health issues. I don't have mental health
- 38:13Speaker 2: issues exactly. So everybody's different. But what I'm trying to
- 38:18Speaker 2: say is that I think a lot of people are
- 38:20Speaker 2: using you know, these terms you know about mental health,
- 38:24Speaker 2: and mental health is a serious thing, and you're going
- 38:26Speaker 2: to tell me what badass excuse, like, oh, I had
- 38:30Speaker 2: to do it, I had to have to share with
- 38:31Speaker 2: the entire world, you know the boundaries you told me
- 38:34Speaker 2: because it was affecting my mental health in a negative way.
- 38:37Speaker 1: No, you're the negative one.
- 38:39Speaker 2: You're trying to make him look bad and look like
- 38:42Speaker 2: a negative person when it's really you. So my question
- 38:46Speaker 2: to you is like, how would you have responded or
- 38:48Speaker 2: reacted if you had a partner that was making you
- 38:51Speaker 2: do the same or similar demands as Jonah Hill. So like,
- 38:55Speaker 2: let's say you're dating a girl and then she would
- 38:57Speaker 2: tell you like, in order for you to have a
- 38:58Speaker 2: romantic relationship with me, you can't.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Do a B and C and X Y Z Oh
- 39:05Speaker 3: definitely since always.
- 39:07Speaker 1: You've had a lot of those women that I told
- 39:09Speaker 1: you that.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Of course, Mama, Well, first you need to follow why
- 39:15Speaker 3: do you only follow girls? Hey? Do you know this one?
- 39:18Speaker 3: You know this? They go through every single thing.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Well, because it kind of says a lot about you.
- 39:23Speaker 3: I know, but like this is this is years of
- 39:26Speaker 3: like Instagram and this, and I want something that's really
- 39:28Speaker 3: serious then and like sense of like respect.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Well that's timing. That's a good point too, then, yes,
- 39:37Speaker 1: and that's.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I think that Jonah and Sarah were only dating for
- 39:40Speaker 2: a year, But I think that after a year, I
- 39:42Speaker 2: think it's enough time, right where you can tell your partner, like,
- 39:45Speaker 2: you know what.
- 39:45Speaker 1: I don't like that you post these pictures.
- 39:48Speaker 2: I don't like I think that's a fair amount of
- 39:49Speaker 2: time because in the beginning you sound like a cycle.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Yeah, like you don't even.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Know the person you're right, But I think like after
- 39:55Speaker 2: a year there should be like this mutual respect, right
- 39:58Speaker 2: and communication where you can tell your part listen. You know,
- 40:01Speaker 2: I know you do this, but like it bothers me
- 40:03Speaker 2: a little bit. Now we're in a relationship, and you know,
- 40:06Speaker 2: I feel kind of uncomfortable that you're doing this, and
- 40:08Speaker 2: I know you're like, you know, going out with other guys,
- 40:11Speaker 2: because I mean, when you're like happily in love with somebody,
- 40:14Speaker 2: you don't have to be going out with other guys
- 40:15Speaker 2: or doing other stuff. I think that there's like, you know,
- 40:18Speaker 2: there should be mutual respect. Again, I'm like, what's good
- 40:21Speaker 2: for the geese is good for the gander. I'm not
- 40:23Speaker 2: saying the man could do it to the woman and
- 40:25Speaker 2: the woman. I think it's a fair thing. It doesn't
- 40:27Speaker 2: matter what your sex is.
- 40:28Speaker 3: It is.
- 40:29Speaker 1: But what would you do?
- 40:30Speaker 2: You would break up with the girl too? No, you
- 40:31Speaker 2: would say you were trying to talk to them. It
- 40:33Speaker 2: depends on how much.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Yeah, we would talk to them, Like, you're right, I
- 40:36Speaker 3: don't know any.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Of these girls. No, you don't know any of those.
- 40:42Speaker 3: They just happen to be there. I follow them, let
- 40:45Speaker 3: me go through, you know, follow all of them.
- 40:47Speaker 1: You would make changes.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Yeah, it doesn't mean anything to me. Do I care
- 40:51Speaker 3: who I follow? Do I know this? No? Follow and
- 40:55Speaker 3: follow them, follow them all if I have to.
- 40:58Speaker 2: That's what makes you If you were like a model,
- 41:00Speaker 2: and you would you know, post like pictures for models.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Different your career, your career. That's for example, Sidney Prauto,
- 41:09Speaker 3: she's your girlfriend, what are you gonna tell her? Hey,
- 41:10Speaker 3: I don't like those bikini pictures?
- 41:12Speaker 1: So would you go out with somebody like her? Like,
- 41:14Speaker 1: that's the question.
- 41:15Speaker 3: I've had that conversation where you know, you date someone
- 41:18Speaker 3: that's not used to this whole entertainment lifestyle social media,
- 41:22Speaker 3: so they're just they see it as something bad there.
- 41:27Speaker 3: They see it a completely different way than than we do. So,
- 41:32Speaker 3: you know, let's say I we're to date a girl
- 41:34Speaker 3: with two hundred thousand followers and she does Fashionova and
- 41:39Speaker 3: Celsius and all these things. She makes her money, she
- 41:42Speaker 3: has all her little platforms. I gonna hate on her
- 41:45Speaker 3: for having all that in bikini, you know what, that's
- 41:47Speaker 3: what she does. She's not doing it for She's not
- 41:50Speaker 3: just doing it for that.
- 41:51Speaker 1: That's her job.
- 41:51Speaker 3: That's her job if she's an a.
- 41:53Speaker 1: But you would be okay with it.
- 41:54Speaker 3: I would be okay with it, and I will support
- 41:56Speaker 3: it one hundred percent. But now if you're just you know,
- 42:00Speaker 3: Jane from down the street and you want to post
- 42:02Speaker 3: your ass to get forty seven likes, that's a whole
- 42:06Speaker 3: different story and I'm not okay with that.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Again, well, I think that that's why it's very important
- 42:11Speaker 2: for anybody that's entering a relationship.
- 42:14Speaker 1: And I didn't realize it when I was younger.
- 42:16Speaker 2: That was some other advice actually that my mom, you know,
- 42:20Speaker 2: and dad would give me.
- 42:21Speaker 1: You know, when you're young and you're just dating.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Obviously at seventeen and eighteen, it's like usually the man
- 42:26Speaker 2: you're going to marry or have a family with. But
- 42:27Speaker 2: once you're like in a certain time in your life
- 42:30Speaker 2: and that you know, a certain stage in your life,
- 42:33Speaker 2: you should be dating the kind of person that's who
- 42:36Speaker 2: you want to have a family and a life with.
- 42:38Speaker 2: So you're not going to be wasting your time with that.
- 42:40Speaker 2: So if that's I mean, I'm not in Jonah's head
- 42:42Speaker 2: or heart right now. So I don't know if he
- 42:44Speaker 2: was looking for like a serious commitment, you know, to
- 42:47Speaker 2: have a family and get married. But if he was,
- 42:49Speaker 2: then you know he figured out it wasn't going to
- 42:51Speaker 2: be her. But you shouldn't be looking for that.
- 42:53Speaker 3: It depends what you know, point you are in your
- 42:57Speaker 3: life and whether you're trying to settle down, whether you
- 42:59Speaker 3: just got to out of something seriously, you just want
- 43:01Speaker 3: to enjoy it, so you know right now. For example,
- 43:06Speaker 3: for me, whoever I end up dating, it's long term
- 43:09Speaker 3: and I have to see them, and.
- 43:12Speaker 2: You're going to look at their Instagram and please share
- 43:13Speaker 2: it with me so I can stop their Instagram obviously,
- 43:17Speaker 2: because you know there's no time to waste.
- 43:23Speaker 3: I what on me?
- 43:28Speaker 2: It's been a pleasant It's been so much fun that
- 43:31Speaker 2: we talk, apion. Did you like the experience? Did I
- 43:34Speaker 2: let you talk because I know I can talk a
- 43:36Speaker 2: lot of Yeah.
- 43:37Speaker 3: You go off. But one day I'll have my own
- 43:39Speaker 3: podcasts and I'll be your guests and you'll probably talk
- 43:42Speaker 3: it off the same way.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Okay, what It has been a lot of fun.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Yes, thank you for having me.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's my pleasure.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Take you okay, like we love you guys too.
