- 1:13Speaker 3: I have a teenager, guys. I'm sorry. Yeah, I hope
- 1:16Speaker 3: we can provide like content that people want to see.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Let us know what you want to know, what you
- 1:21Speaker 3: want to see. We plan on sharing that you know
- 1:24Speaker 3: what out of that event.
- 1:27Speaker 2: We can't wait. We booked it fourteen.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Months ago, so the fact that it is finally a
- 1:34Speaker 3: month away, I can I'm so excited. I'm very excited.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I'm just wondering, like do the listeners want? Is like
- 1:41Speaker 3: tracking down the Hallmark celebs.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Do they want? Like, I'm not gonna be that person.
- 1:47Speaker 3: You're not gonna be like.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Hygienk music behind me as I like, don't, don't, don't,
- 1:52Speaker 2: don't don't. Maybe we can be like Christmas Jammy's creeping
- 1:56Speaker 2: around the corner. I was gonna say, maybe we could.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Borrow Jody's like cape and hat for maybe we need
- 2:02Speaker 3: a wig.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Maybe we need a wig. I'll wear the black one.
- 2:08Speaker 3: You can wear the heiress and the handyman one. Okay, hey,
- 2:12Speaker 3: jump into our girls go on Hallmark Facebook group. Not
- 2:17Speaker 3: a whole lot of people talking about this collection of movies.
- 2:20Speaker 3: It makes me really wonder how many people have Homemark
- 2:23Speaker 3: plus hmm. Or maybe they're just not interested in the
- 2:28Speaker 3: Jaine mysteries.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't. I don't know the answer to that.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I think we'll have a we should take a poll
- 2:35Speaker 3: on our Instagram story. I was gonna do that and
- 2:37Speaker 3: in our Facebook group, but I was also thinking we
- 2:39Speaker 3: might have a better idea when the Groomsmen come out
- 2:45Speaker 3: and see how many.
- 2:46Speaker 2: People are talking about that.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Yeah, because people not even really talking about Love on
- 2:49Speaker 3: the Danube a whole lot either. No, but that post
- 2:52Speaker 3: on our website. They're curious, they're curious, They're curious about it.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 2:58Speaker 1: We will be reviewing all three Groomsmen movies here on
- 3:01Speaker 1: Girls Gone Hamewark. We did drop a full schedule October
- 3:04Speaker 1: November December, including Fall Countdown to Christmas, Miracles of Christmas,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and just a tiny bit of Hallmark Plus content. We
- 3:13Speaker 1: are two people trying to do it all, but the
- 3:15Speaker 1: grooms Wind is included in our upcoming reviews.
- 3:19Speaker 3: What is missing from it is the Mistletoe murders.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Correct, Aura, a Tea Garden is missing. We're not doing
- 3:27Speaker 1: the Jonathan Bennett finding Mister Christmas. We're also not doing
- 3:30Speaker 1: the Cherry Lane trilogy right, and we are also not
- 3:33Speaker 1: doing there's another four Christmas movie release that we're not doing.
- 3:37Speaker 2: We just can't. We can't do it all. We can't
- 3:39Speaker 2: do it all. There are not enough days in the week.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Here's my thought, though, the Cherry Lane movies will come
- 3:45Speaker 3: to linear.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe it'll be like a Christmas in July drop.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Yeah. I think if we just put a pin in those,
- 3:52Speaker 3: I they're gonna come to the Hallmark channel either in
- 3:55Speaker 3: July or they will show them next count on the
- 3:58Speaker 3: Christmas But I think it's gonna be lie yeah, and
- 4:02Speaker 3: maybe we'll review them then if there's a movie that
- 4:05Speaker 3: we are missing, you are dying to hear a review
- 4:07Speaker 3: for there are months after December was an email let
- 4:10Speaker 3: us Yeah. I always feel weird about like putting out
- 4:12Speaker 3: a review for a Christmas movie after countdown the Christmas ends,
- 4:16Speaker 3: But then I forget that a lot of people like
- 4:18Speaker 3: DVR these or I watched them on I was gonna
- 4:21Speaker 3: say Hallmark Movies now on Hallmark Plus or whatever. Also,
- 4:26Speaker 3: I think you need to keep in mind that a
- 4:27Speaker 3: lot of people are listening to reviews having not just
- 4:29Speaker 3: immediately watched the movie, or they're listening to reviews for
- 4:32Speaker 3: movies that they.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Have watched in the past.
- 4:34Speaker 1: So I don't think a review needs to necessarily drop
- 4:37Speaker 1: immediately after the airing of a movie to be relevant.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Let us know what you think on all of that.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Let us know your thoughts on dropping movies outside of
- 4:45Speaker 1: the season in which they've premiered, et cetera.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Uh yes, are we ready to move on to talk
- 4:52Speaker 3: about the Jane Mysteries Too much to lose?
- 4:54Speaker 2: Can I tell you?
- 4:55Speaker 1: First of all, I turned on Hallmark Plus to watch this,
- 4:58Speaker 1: and I I opened up the Jane Mysteries like collection
- 5:02Speaker 1: and I just hit play because I had watched the
- 5:04Speaker 1: other two, and it started playing.
- 5:07Speaker 3: The Jane Mysteries. Inheritance Lost the very first movie, which
- 5:10Speaker 3: I didn't know. I mean I I didn't know. I
- 5:14Speaker 3: didn't have the names of these movies memorized, let's be serious.
- 5:16Speaker 3: And so I'm watching it and at the very beginning
- 5:18Speaker 3: of that movie, Steven who's on our shows up and
- 5:21Speaker 3: she doesn't know who he is, and he like introduces himself.
- 5:23Speaker 3: I'm like, maybe this is a flashback, and then he's
- 5:26Speaker 3: like telling her about the death of her uncle and
- 5:28Speaker 3: how her inheritance is his detective agency. And I was like,
- 5:32Speaker 3: I think, perhaps I'm watching the wrong movie.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Why did you get in here? Five minutes?
- 5:37Speaker 3: Oh?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Okay, okay, So then I did watch the correct movie.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yeah, but I was like, oh, I kind of want
- 5:42Speaker 3: to go back and watch the Jane Mysteries or so
- 5:44Speaker 3: do you.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Are you ready?
- 5:47Speaker 3: For a synopsis I am while preparing for the children's
- 5:52Speaker 3: hospital Gala, Jane de Silva investigates the disappearance of a
- 5:57Speaker 3: journalist who vanished after winning a game with Detective John Cameron.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Jane uncovers a dangerous world of blackmail and fraud.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Marco Dephemia returns as a director, having directed all four
- 6:11Speaker 1: of the Jane movies along with The Heiress and The Handyman.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Neil Kimmel is back as the scriptwriter. She penned all
- 6:19Speaker 3: of the Jane movies except for Murder at Mosby.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Jody Sweetened plays Jane to Silva. Fun fact.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Jody wrote her memoir Unsweetened, a memoir published in twenty ten.
- 6:29Speaker 1: This Weekly called it explosive, and Ian Line described it
- 6:32Speaker 1: as brutally honest as she shares her journey through addiction
- 6:34Speaker 1: and recovery.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I'm kind of interested in listening to it because that's
- 6:39Speaker 3: how I consume books. But yeah, I'm kind of She's
- 6:43Speaker 3: very open about she's living us as a sober person,
- 6:48Speaker 3: as a sober person now, but she's very open about
- 6:51Speaker 3: and she's on her fourth husband and how she she's like,
- 6:55Speaker 3: I'm done, this is it? Yeah, I know she is
- 6:59Speaker 3: a frequent ish guest on a talk show you listened
- 7:03Speaker 3: to regularly. Anyway, I kind of want to listen to.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I think I do too. Added to the list.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Next year twenty twenty five. Stephen Who's Our plays Detective
- 7:13Speaker 3: John Cameron. We've discussed how much we really enjoy him
- 7:17Speaker 3: in this dry gruff detective role. And as I look
- 7:21Speaker 3: through his resume, I saw that he has appeared in
- 7:24Speaker 3: several of the Ruby Herring Mysteries. Hmm, and I wonder
- 7:27Speaker 3: if those are worth checking out. I need listeners to
- 7:31Speaker 3: weigh in. Is it the same Stephen Who's are We're
- 7:36Speaker 3: getting hair in these movies? I had heard in our
- 7:41Speaker 3: Facebook group that they loved him there, Oh Piping hot
- 7:46Speaker 3: Tea Girls Gone hamemark at gmails dot com. Email us
- 7:48Speaker 3: your thoughts on Stephen Who's are on the Ruby Hearing Mysteries? Uh?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Paris Jefferson returns as Sadie Da Silva.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Serry Miller plays Irene slash Ida. Cherry has ninety eight
- 8:01Speaker 3: acting credits, having appeared in Family History Mysteries, Buried Past,
- 8:06Speaker 3: five More Minutes, as well as Shane's Mom and signed
- 8:09Speaker 3: Sealed delivered the vows we have made.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Remember how great she was in that role.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yep. Miller will appear in the forthcoming Hot Frosty on Netflix,
- 8:18Speaker 3: also starring one Lacy Schebert.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Troy Blendelle plays Edgar Samon. Troy has fifty one acting credits,
- 8:25Speaker 1: which include from Friend to Fiance, Returned to Christmas Creek,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and A Nutcracker Christmas for Homark. Are you familiar with
- 8:32Speaker 1: any of those movies? Wasn't A Nutcracker Christmas? The Christmas
- 8:37Speaker 1: in July?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Drop?
- 8:39Speaker 3: That was Operation Nutcracker? Oh?
- 8:41Speaker 2: I apologize then the answer is no?
- 8:43Speaker 3: Okay. Victoria so Wall plays Margaret. Victoria has fifteen acting credits,
- 8:48Speaker 3: and outside of one episode of The Good Witch, this
- 8:52Speaker 3: is her first movie for Hallmark. She has also appeared
- 8:55Speaker 3: in the series Why the Last Man, which probably needs
- 8:59Speaker 3: to be added to our BINGO card. At this point,
- 9:01Speaker 3: it's been a frequent flyer. Monica Rodriguez Knox plays Sophie.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Monica has eighteen acting credits, including a recent appearance in
- 9:08Speaker 3: Hallmark's Falling in Love in Niagara. Jessica Beehan plays Angela
- 9:12Speaker 3: with eighteen acting credits. She has appeared in several Hallmark
- 9:16Speaker 3: esque projects, However, this is her first Hallmark movie. James
- 9:20Speaker 3: Jeris plays Craig. This is his first project for Hallmark. Hey,
- 9:24Speaker 3: Kiwi the Cockatil plays Perry the Parrot. I like the
- 9:27Speaker 3: alliteration on both of those. I tried to see if
- 9:31Speaker 3: Kiwi the cockatail, Kiwi the cocka teal cockatoo not. I
- 9:38Speaker 3: think cockatial. There's two different kinds of birds. I think
- 9:40Speaker 3: cockatil is a bird. I was looking to see if
- 9:43Speaker 3: they have like an Instagram, a social media presence, could
- 9:47Speaker 3: have put in anything. What was your first impression of
- 9:59Speaker 3: too much to I'm so sorry, but this is the
- 10:01Speaker 3: weakest of the bunch.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Oh, I like your game show, Thank you.
- 10:09Speaker 3: My first impression is was Stepan, who's our listening last week?
- 10:13Speaker 2: When we said take your shirt up? Listen? That as
- 10:17Speaker 2: the only highlight in this movie for me.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Wow, this was the out This was the what's the word?
- 10:26Speaker 2: This was the cream of the crop for me.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I just did not find the story that compelling. I mean,
- 10:33Speaker 3: I think I watched it like four times, still laughing
- 10:36Speaker 3: at my game show sound effect. That's the only that's Look.
- 10:40Speaker 3: I'm not good at puns. I'm way too literal for them.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I never come up with them.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Whenever someone does it I'm like, oh, so I didn't
- 10:49Speaker 1: actually think the pun work in this movie was all
- 10:51Speaker 1: that great. Yeah, However, I did like that they staged
- 10:57Speaker 1: this fake game show in Flash.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I thought that was fun. Okay, it was fine.
- 11:05Speaker 3: It was fine, Okay, I mean, we need to talk
- 11:08Speaker 3: about you just skimmed right over this shirtless scene.
- 11:12Speaker 2: It was great. What more do you want to say? Well,
- 11:14Speaker 2: take your shirt off more, Steven. Here is what I
- 11:17Speaker 2: was thinking.
- 11:18Speaker 3: It's a real rare treat that we get a shirtless
- 11:21Speaker 3: dude in the Hamewark right, And I was like, oh,
- 11:23Speaker 3: wait a minute, is this what we're doing over on
- 11:26Speaker 3: Hallmark Plus.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Now we don't have a TVG rating, so we can
- 11:31Speaker 1: do whatever we want.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Maybe I don't.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest, I don't think so. Hallmark doesn't
- 11:37Speaker 1: want to lose that family friendly label. He was changing
- 11:41Speaker 1: his clothes, I know he was, and he was just like,
- 11:45Speaker 1: let me stop shirtless to have this conversation with you.
- 11:49Speaker 3: It's just funny. I thought, maybe they're just pushing the
- 11:52Speaker 3: boundary on Hallmark Plus a little bit. Perhaps, I look
- 11:56Speaker 3: I like eye candy.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:58Speaker 3: So I loved it, and I thought it was real
- 12:02Speaker 3: funny considering last week you were calling so hard for him.
- 12:06Speaker 2: To be I mean, less us set it once.
- 12:10Speaker 3: You Know what I really liked in this movie is
- 12:13Speaker 3: that the last two Jane reviews, I didn't really understand
- 12:16Speaker 3: Jane's role at the Foundation and what the foundation did. Remember,
- 12:20Speaker 3: I was like calling her a PI or a detective
- 12:23Speaker 3: or like whatever she is. Well, they she kind of
- 12:26Speaker 3: mentioned it again in this movie.
- 12:28Speaker 2: They take on cold cases.
- 12:30Speaker 3: It's a foundation for riding wrongs. Uh huh so yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 3: cold cases or like people who are in trouble for
- 12:40Speaker 3: things that.
- 12:40Speaker 2: They shouldn't Innocence Project Hallmark Edition.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Exactly exactly for me, this is kind of a wish,
- 12:48Speaker 3: but it's here. I think there's more potential to explore
- 12:52Speaker 3: cold cases than like current missing person cases.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Well, and that's how the first movie. That was the
- 13:00Speaker 3: angle of the first movie, right, that boy was a
- 13:02Speaker 3: deadly prescription. Yes, correct, good job, thank you. I never
- 13:05Speaker 3: would have gotten there.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Yeah. I kind of like that better.
- 13:09Speaker 3: So do I. Because Jane is not a skilled professional,
- 13:13Speaker 3: she's an amateur hour. She's like me trying, like literally
- 13:19Speaker 3: me who has zero skills in solving.
- 13:23Speaker 2: A case detective skills.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Sure, And I'm like out on the streets, like following.
- 13:28Speaker 1: People like no that I mean you and Goldieberry and
- 13:31Speaker 1: Hannah Swinson.
- 13:33Speaker 3: It drives me crazy.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Okay, here's another reason why I think the cold Case
- 13:37Speaker 1: angle is better because I know it's a running joke,
- 13:40Speaker 1: but like, how many people can die in the presence
- 13:43Speaker 1: I happen to note, like someone very close to my
- 13:46Speaker 1: family was murdered. That is a unique situation. I don't
- 13:50Speaker 1: think many people are aware of murder happening around them. Yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 1: constantly in the way that like we said, like the
- 14:01Speaker 1: Curious cater or the hand someone's always dying this way.
- 14:04Speaker 1: This stuff happened in the past. Someone's not dying every
- 14:06Speaker 1: month on you.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and make her more of an internet sleuth, mmm,
- 14:11Speaker 3: you know, doing the hard work on the Yeah. The
- 14:14Speaker 3: person doesn't need to be somehow connected to you. These
- 14:16Speaker 3: events don't necessarily need.
- 14:17Speaker 1: To happen in and around you all the time, exactly
- 14:21Speaker 1: as a level of believability, exactly.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Two other things I liked. I have to admit I
- 14:28Speaker 3: do enjoy Jody Sweetens singing in these movies.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, she's got a great voice, she really does.
- 14:34Speaker 3: I think it's fun, and I like how they change
- 14:38Speaker 3: it ever so slightly in each movie. The style of music, yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 3: which she's performing or whatever. And there was one real
- 14:51Speaker 3: LOL moment for me in this movie and this It's
- 14:55Speaker 3: when Detective John is changing his clothes and Jane jody
- 14:59Speaker 3: As says like, I'm here to give you fashion advice
- 15:02Speaker 3: or something like that. And I just got a real
- 15:05Speaker 3: chuckle out of that. Because we've talked about the wardrobe
- 15:08Speaker 3: choices for her.
- 15:09Speaker 2: I thought she I thought it was much better in
- 15:11Speaker 2: this movie.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Yes, but in this one particular scene that looked like
- 15:15Speaker 3: she was wearing like a two piece matching set that
- 15:17Speaker 3: looked like pajamas. But I think we're a regular outfit.
- 15:22Speaker 1: A lot of pencil skirts in this movie, did you notice?
- 15:25Speaker 3: I did notice? I mean on the women.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Yes, we did not get who'sar in a pencil skirt?
- 15:38Speaker 3: All know?
- 15:39Speaker 2: It was the nan has has the what do we
- 15:41Speaker 2: call these? I don't know what those are called.
- 15:45Speaker 3: When they make me sweat a little bit, it was like,
- 15:49Speaker 3: b those that be.
- 15:52Speaker 2: He's got the abs for it's all inste.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Speaking of abs, side note, I saw an instagram from
- 16:01Speaker 3: one bj Britt, who is going to be yeah in
- 16:05Speaker 3: the Groomsmen and on our cruise.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Speaking of people you'd like us to hunt out.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Look, I want to put it out there because in
- 16:12Speaker 1: case anybody at Hallmark or a Hallmark adjacent listens to this,
- 16:18Speaker 1: we are absolutely not going to be those people. No,
- 16:21Speaker 1: we're going to be the most well behaved members of
- 16:23Speaker 1: those cruise.
- 16:24Speaker 3: So bj puts out this video on his Instagram. It's
- 16:28Speaker 3: like it's I don't know if it's a real or what,
- 16:31Speaker 3: but like he's got a kind of a low cut
- 16:33Speaker 3: shirt on and he's smiling. He's got this great smile
- 16:37Speaker 3: and it's kind of slow motion. And can you please
- 16:39Speaker 3: read my comment that I left from our Girls Gone
- 16:42Speaker 3: homemark accounts?
- 16:44Speaker 2: Okay, hold on, anyone else, peep those pecks.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Sorry, I cracked myself up at six Sturt this morning,
- 16:51Speaker 3: but it was a nice little window into his chest.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I'm just reading the other comments, one from James Vaughn, who's.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Jonathan Bennet's husband, Oh says, look at you.
- 17:08Speaker 3: I wonder if he's gonna be on the cruise.
- 17:10Speaker 2: He's got to be right.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Oh, that'd be so fun. Do you ever watch their
- 17:13Speaker 3: content like he posts videos? Because Jonathan Bennett is like
- 17:17Speaker 3: a Carnival cruise ambassador and so he posts like funny videos.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Sorry I got distracted there. I think I'm done with
- 17:24Speaker 3: my likes, so I just have one more. Last week,
- 17:29Speaker 3: you mentioned that you wanted to see a little more
- 17:31Speaker 3: forward progress with Wendy's rolling her eyes.
- 17:36Speaker 2: It's in my wishes, but go ahead.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Well, I actually thought we got some for it's a series.
- 17:43Speaker 3: They cannot get them together. They're Ross and Rachel. I
- 17:45Speaker 3: don't know what you want from them. They wish they
- 17:48Speaker 3: were Ross and Rachel jan it's the Ross and Rachel prototype, right,
- 17:52Speaker 3: it's the will they are won't they obviously? I mean
- 17:55Speaker 3: Tom and Goldie finally got together, but it took.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Them a while.
- 17:58Speaker 1: They had a real they're like arguing back and forth
- 18:00Speaker 1: where he doesn't want it to go put herself in danger,
- 18:03Speaker 1: and he's like, I just need you to be safe.
- 18:05Speaker 1: They're like yelling back and forth at each other. But
- 18:08Speaker 1: she's like, I'd love to be safe so I can
- 18:09Speaker 1: go on many dates with you. Yeah, And then, like
- 18:12Speaker 1: he had clearly told his niece, she's like, you're right,
- 18:14Speaker 1: she is pretty.
- 18:16Speaker 2: It's a fondu wishous so you can yell at me.
- 18:18Speaker 3: No. Look, I appreciate the attempt at the if we're
- 18:23Speaker 3: gonna call that flirting? Did you say him given in
- 18:26Speaker 3: the eyes when he's like shirtless and changing his clothes.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Yes, I did.
- 18:30Speaker 3: But I'm getting zero chemistry from these two. We just
- 18:34Speaker 3: watched The Real West and talk about the fire a
- 18:39Speaker 3: masterclass in on screen chemistry. Yeah, So I'm like, is
- 18:43Speaker 3: it is it what they're working with here or do
- 18:48Speaker 3: these actors just can't convey that or what's happening because
- 18:54Speaker 3: I'm out at this point. I'm just like over rooting
- 18:57Speaker 3: for them, Like I get what you mean, Like this
- 19:01Speaker 3: is a series and we kind of have to string
- 19:03Speaker 3: it all along just so we can like keep tuning
- 19:06Speaker 3: in to see if they're gonna but like I'm I'm
- 19:09Speaker 3: over it. Yeah, I actually really liked this movie. I
- 19:11Speaker 3: was like, I could watch three more Jane Mysteries after
- 19:14Speaker 3: this one. I probably could too, but you need more.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I need something one of my wishes.
- 19:22Speaker 3: I was literally screaming at the screen it's bika boo, mmm,
- 19:30Speaker 3: I knew what you figured it? A password was oh yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 3: When Perry's like biek a boo big a boo. Oh yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 3: She's like what could the password be? And then they're
- 19:38Speaker 3: like ida tells her. It's just like, oh, she always
- 19:41Speaker 3: loved her games. It would definitely be something obvious, and
- 19:43Speaker 3: Perry's like, peek.
- 19:44Speaker 2: A boo, Let's play peek a boo. I'm like, oh
- 19:46Speaker 2: my god, Jane, get the past her.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Jane is not a detective ding ding Ding That's really funny.
- 19:53Speaker 2: So didn't you think though this movie.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Had way too many characters in it?
- 19:58Speaker 2: That's every Hallmark mystery for me.
- 20:00Speaker 3: I really dislike it, dislike it, but is that every mystery?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Though? Do you gotta have a red hair? Lots?
- 20:10Speaker 3: But my brain just like short circuits, Like that's why
- 20:13Speaker 3: I've had to watch this movie, like telling you four
- 20:16Speaker 3: times since. I think I think the appeal of the
- 20:20Speaker 3: mystery series is like once you're this far and.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Like, we know Jane, we know I don't even know
- 20:26Speaker 2: that's detectives name?
- 20:27Speaker 3: Is it?
- 20:27Speaker 2: Mark John? John?
- 20:29Speaker 3: We know Sadie, Like we know these people, so we're
- 20:32Speaker 3: not getting to know them, and so I think maybe
- 20:35Speaker 3: that made me more open to understanding these characters. But
- 20:38Speaker 3: I will tell you that I don't have a memory
- 20:40Speaker 3: for names, So when they're talking about someone, I'm like, oh,
- 20:43Speaker 3: I don't I don't know who they're talking about you
- 20:45Speaker 3: need like a little cheat sheet on the screen. When
- 20:49Speaker 3: they're like Sophie is doing this, I'm like, which one
- 20:52Speaker 3: Sophie's well, because all those women, not that they kind
- 20:55Speaker 3: of look the same, but they all were women of
- 20:58Speaker 3: same age, same length of hair, different hair colors.
- 21:02Speaker 2: But still like I was like, who is this?
- 21:05Speaker 3: I agree, I am Drew, I am Danny.
- 21:08Speaker 2: We are not the same.
- 21:12Speaker 3: It's a TikTok No. I don't know that. I don't
- 21:15Speaker 3: know what the sound is from. It's just a TikTok trend.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 21:18Speaker 3: I have one more dislike, you've totally changed the segment name.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Straight up, I don't like it. Wish Wish wish. I'm
- 21:32Speaker 2: so sorry.
- 21:32Speaker 3: I have one more wish real missed opportunity with Jane's
- 21:38Speaker 3: dead mom storyline, Where did that go? Like I get
- 21:42Speaker 3: that you need like something in each like episode, but
- 21:46Speaker 3: there was like nothing, no, not even no mention of
- 21:49Speaker 3: it in this episode. And I just think it's unfortunate
- 21:53Speaker 3: because I thought that they teed it up really well
- 21:55Speaker 3: in Murder at Moseby, but it wasn't written by the
- 21:58Speaker 3: same person, and so I guess is like the directive
- 22:03Speaker 3: has to be like just add a little more heat
- 22:07Speaker 3: with these two because there's other there's no tie in, right,
- 22:10Speaker 3: there's no connection to murder at Moseby. Really, the only
- 22:15Speaker 3: way that we know that it's further along is like.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Jane and the detective are flirting. I forgot it's John. Yeah,
- 22:23Speaker 2: that's the only Yeah. This and Sadie's hair is.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Shorterer in whose hair Sadie?
- 22:30Speaker 2: She cut her hair? Oh, I didn't notice that.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Yeah, Sadie cut her hair. But other than that, there
- 22:34Speaker 3: is no connection. And so you are exactly right.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I because I didn't do the notes on this, I
- 22:40Speaker 1: didn't realize that they had a different writer. And it
- 22:44Speaker 1: makes perfect sense why they wouldn't have continued that storyline,
- 22:47Speaker 1: but real missed opportunity.
- 22:49Speaker 3: This series, for me is lacking like a through line,
- 22:52Speaker 3: something that's gonna connect it. That's why I say I
- 22:54Speaker 3: don't care about the uh huh John and Jane storyline
- 22:58Speaker 3: that much. I would have liked more of the mom like,
- 23:01Speaker 3: just some information. Let this be running in the background.
- 23:05Speaker 3: How about did you see that I have one and
- 23:08Speaker 3: it's a non traditional did you see that?
- 23:11Speaker 2: Okay?
- 23:13Speaker 3: There is not one single user or critic review for
- 23:17Speaker 3: this movie on IMDb.
- 23:18Speaker 2: It has been out almost a week.
- 23:21Speaker 3: You know, I had noticed that about last week too, actually,
- 23:23Speaker 3: when we were recording. I think it speaks to the
- 23:27Speaker 3: volume of Hallmark Plus viewers.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Also you know what I think?
- 23:32Speaker 3: Well, I was going to say, like, I sometimes feel
- 23:34Speaker 3: like people who are critical are more likely to leave
- 23:38Speaker 3: a review, and I think Hallmark Plus users might be
- 23:40Speaker 3: Hallmark super fans and therefore.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Less likely to leave a review. I also think this
- 23:46Speaker 1: is my last opinion on the subject, that the streaming
- 23:49Speaker 1: user is a younger demographic and the person who is
- 23:52Speaker 1: likely to leave an IMDb review is an older demo.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Me. No, I leave IMDb reviews. You do reviews. Okay, well, yes,
- 24:07Speaker 2: boomer are you? I'm not a boomer.
- 24:10Speaker 3: I'm gin xby me too.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Man, the skin of my teeth? Did you have any
- 24:16Speaker 2: did you see that? Yeah?
- 24:17Speaker 1: So I thought you would appreciate this one. Irene in
- 24:21Speaker 1: her text to Craig calls him Craig instead of Curly,
- 24:24Speaker 1: And to me, that was a real Donna saying Dave
- 24:27Speaker 1: moment when she's being attacked and held like hostage behind
- 24:31Speaker 1: the door and she's like, I'm fine, Dave. And David
- 24:33Speaker 1: Silver knew that was the clue that she was not.
- 24:35Speaker 3: In fact, fine, she's reverencing Beverly Hills nine er two
- 24:38Speaker 3: and zero. Yeah, if no one is familiar, But yes,
- 24:43Speaker 3: that was I remember that scene clearly.
- 24:47Speaker 1: We later learned that that happens because Irene wasn't the
- 24:49Speaker 1: one who wrote the message, so it wasn't like a clue.
- 24:52Speaker 1: But that's what I thought of in that moment, and
- 24:56Speaker 1: just a thought. There's a moment when the amateur sleuths
- 24:59Speaker 1: are in Irene's how and they refuse to turn on
- 25:02Speaker 1: the light, but they're straight up touching all of her
- 25:04Speaker 1: mail and unrolling it.
- 25:05Speaker 3: And granted they're like using tools to move it around,
- 25:08Speaker 3: and I thought, we're still disturbing evidence here. You can't
- 25:11Speaker 3: turn on the light switch with your elbow, but you
- 25:14Speaker 3: can touch over mount. Yeah yeah, why'd you rate this
- 25:20Speaker 3: two and a half stars?
- 25:21Speaker 2: Me too? Me too.
- 25:23Speaker 3: I had to go back and look at my other
- 25:24Speaker 3: ratings too, because of the three we watched, I like
- 25:28Speaker 3: to Murder at Bosby the best mm hmmm, followed by
- 25:32Speaker 3: a deadly.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Prescription I think that's what it's called. And then this one.
- 25:36Speaker 3: So I am gonna be honest, I have no idea
- 25:41Speaker 3: how I rated the other two and how this compared
- 25:44Speaker 3: in my ratings, because it's like an in the moment,
- 25:47Speaker 3: pure vibes decision. Of course, always I think I think
- 25:53Speaker 3: this series, and this is my opinion. I think the
- 25:57Speaker 3: series could do well. I think they need to change
- 26:01Speaker 3: up the writers and the directors on it. Okay, just
- 26:05Speaker 3: flip it on its head a little.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Bit, Yeah, shake it up. Yeah. Hey, thanks for.
