- 2:22Speaker 1: I'm from a ZEUSA, and I started doing this fourteen
- 2:26Speaker 1: years ago for my niece's wedding, and I just kept
- 2:29Speaker 1: doing the damn thing.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Can I get away?
- 2:33Speaker 5: Well?
- 2:36Speaker 2: And me DJ Karaoke, that's my name, Carieoke, Hey, and.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Me DJ Sean.
- 2:47Speaker 6: I don't really know how I got here, but it
- 2:50Speaker 6: pays the bills and I gotta keep doing it.
- 2:54Speaker 7: Everybody on the floor.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Feels good to see you guys here. This is awesome
- 3:01Speaker 5: and hey.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Thanks for doing that warm up exercise for me. I know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I can't talk to people unless we do that first.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I know you said, please, I need it.
- 3:11Speaker 7: I need it. Do it unless we get some.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Neo did it?
- 3:16Speaker 5: That was Chris Brown?
- 3:19Speaker 1: My god, do I mix those guys up? Two thousand
- 3:22Speaker 1: and eight was a crazy year.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I will say forever that's our fly Meat of the
- 3:26Speaker 2: Moon by Frank Sinak.
- 3:27Speaker 4: It really is exactly that's crazy. Chris Brown will live
- 3:31Speaker 4: forever in weddings.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Just that song.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'll say that no matter what he does.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Guys. It's really epic to be able to talk to
- 3:41Speaker 5: you guys right now.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Goodness freaking gracious.
- 3:45Speaker 4: It is totally awesome, and I feel like we should
- 3:48Speaker 4: hear a little bit more about each other.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go in more depth of those.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I blobbed a little bit, but I want to
- 3:54Speaker 1: hear the rest of you guys say your deal.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 4: So I'm DJ Diggity Dog also known as Rick Klein,
- 4:03Speaker 4: and I am a wedding DJ. I've been doing it
- 4:08Speaker 4: for about fifteen years and now I do almost exclusively
- 4:11Speaker 4: gay weddings and unions and it actually rocks my ass,
- 4:15Speaker 4: Like it's totally cool.
- 4:17Speaker 5: It's badass.
- 4:18Speaker 4: It's you know, I'm getting everybody's bussy popping and it's
- 4:21Speaker 4: just so much fun.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Man, that's so beautiful.
- 4:24Speaker 7: Can I ask, are you gay yourself?
- 4:26Speaker 4: I have experimented and I'm continuing to do so. All right,
- 4:29Speaker 4: haven't made a statement yet, but I'm loving what I'm
- 4:32Speaker 4: feeling and I'm gonna keep going with it.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Cannot wait to see that statement. I am really excited
- 4:37Speaker 5: to announce it.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I always feel like I'm going to make a big
- 4:40Speaker 4: announcement that is going to change everyone's perception to me.
- 4:43Speaker 4: But I'm in the usually in the middle of a
- 4:45Speaker 4: gay wedding when I have a microphone, so it doesn't
- 4:47Speaker 4: feel like the right time, and many ways it's the
- 4:49Speaker 4: perfect time.
- 4:50Speaker 3: But sure, but it's always their time.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Exactly what I mean?
- 4:55Speaker 4: Exactly if I came out and said hey, I'm coming out, well,
- 5:00Speaker 4: they might say, hey, this is our big.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Day or is that Whitney Houston.
- 5:04Speaker 5: I'm coming out?
- 5:05Speaker 8: Hi?
- 5:06Speaker 5: Hi, Okay, slay mama, and tell us more about you.
- 5:11Speaker 2: What my name is Karaoke? Yes, my parents literally named
- 5:16Speaker 2: me Karaoke. That is on my birth certificate.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Can I ask you last name Oki or the first
- 5:23Speaker 1: name one name?
- 5:24Speaker 3: My last name is key karaoke key. Yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 5: No, so your name is carryo key.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Key Oh carryo kay, carryo, carry on my wayward.
- 5:36Speaker 6: Say they'll be piece when you are done.
- 5:40Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I am a singer. I love to sing.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Released one EP about ten years ago, and since then,
- 5:52Speaker 2: I am a father of five kids in Chatsworth, California.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Pay my bills.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Do win the dirty God good.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Work as a wedding DJ. I love it so much.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Dirty God's good work.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Got dirty God's good work. Amen Jesus, Lord God's good work.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Oh you're Christian kinda, so I released one EP.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I'm kind of Christian, love the Lord kinda.
- 6:21Speaker 7: Sing hey one foot out.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Yes, that's how I am. But I love saying. I
- 6:27Speaker 3: love to try to sing. I'm trying. I'm trying to
- 6:30Speaker 3: bridge that gap between wedding DJ and wedding singer.
- 6:34Speaker 2: But it's hard as but I I love djaying.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I love Games.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I try to bridge that gap too, between a little
- 6:43Speaker 2: bit of games.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I love the cha cha slide.
- 6:46Speaker 2: That's where I really started realizing that I love DJing.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I don't understand tech, and that's what's hard for.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Me about DJing total.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So I get a playlist. My older son JP helps
- 7:01Speaker 2: me with the playlist. We connect that playlist before. And
- 7:04Speaker 2: a lot of DJs come from my throat because I
- 7:07Speaker 2: don't do a lot of mid mixing. But I am
- 7:11Speaker 2: a personality. I'll sing live, I'll play live. I'll do
- 7:15Speaker 2: a lot of family interviews. We'll get into this. There's
- 7:18Speaker 2: a lot of different types of DJs. But I really
- 7:21Speaker 2: am good for MCing and with weddings. It's really good
- 7:28Speaker 2: to basically have someone coordinate the night, and that is
- 7:32Speaker 2: where my strengths lie. In the weddings. I coordinate the speech.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I could coordinate and basically stage manage the whole night
- 7:38Speaker 2: of events. People hire me when there's a lot to
- 7:40Speaker 2: get through in reception. So I'm really good with the music,
- 7:44Speaker 2: really good with personalities.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I got it all.
- 7:54Speaker 5: I feel like I just read your book.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I also am an author.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Well, you know, it's funny that you say authors, because
- 8:03Speaker 1: I want to introduce you to the American authors.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Didn't I found the girls love. It is great for
- 8:18Speaker 3: cocktail hours.
- 8:21Speaker 5: Oh, you guys rock. You guys are crazy funny.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah, So I'm an author singer.
- 8:31Speaker 5: I'm kind of Christian.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I'm never gonna look back.
- 8:37Speaker 9: Oh, oh please, don't say now.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Imagine the brand and groom are walking away.
- 8:49Speaker 7: They just got married and.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Groom. Here we have in this.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Great nation full of American goddamn authors.
- 8:59Speaker 3: The way they.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Walk down that aisle, you know they're gonna live happily
- 9:02Speaker 1: ever after.
- 9:02Speaker 7: Folks, it's matrimony.
- 9:05Speaker 1: It's gorgeous, and I better see you on the dance floor.
- 9:10Speaker 6: You guys are so good at this. You guys are
- 9:12Speaker 6: really so good at this. It's crazy.
- 9:15Speaker 1: What's what the hell is up, newbie? Why don't you
- 9:17Speaker 1: tell me about your Tell me what's.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Inside that body that's talking?
- 9:22Speaker 4: What does that even mean? Tell us what's inside the
- 9:25Speaker 4: body that's talking about?
- 9:26Speaker 1: I want to hear about your moves like Jagger, they
- 9:29Speaker 1: like something.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Goddamn hell, you guys, let me see your earthquake. Come on,
- 9:33Speaker 5: let's see it.
- 9:34Speaker 6: You guys are crazy and wild. It's crazy for me
- 9:37Speaker 6: to hear this because I've been in the DJ game
- 9:40Speaker 6: for six to six months to a year. I've done
- 9:42Speaker 6: three weddings and they don't like me. It's really tough
- 9:46Speaker 6: for me to feel like I'm winning when I do it.
- 9:49Speaker 6: I'm just trying my best up there, and it feels
- 9:51Speaker 6: like it's an uphill battle every time.
- 9:54Speaker 7: Why do they get mad at you?
- 9:55Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 9:56Speaker 6: I just feel like like my timing and my playlists
- 9:59Speaker 6: just don't hit. My timing in my playlist just do
- 10:02Speaker 6: not hit. And people just don't don't feel like they
- 10:06Speaker 6: connect with me. And what happens is people don't go
- 10:08Speaker 6: out to the dance floor, and the brides start crying,
- 10:11Speaker 6: and then the grooms start.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Talking, well, what are you playing? Bro Okay, my god, you're.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Gonna learn brides cry at everything that part of the act.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Yeah, show me the music that's playing inside that body.
- 10:25Speaker 6: Okay, this is one of my favorite songs and it
- 10:28Speaker 6: does work. I feel like this is my hit. When
- 10:31Speaker 6: I play this, people go.
- 10:35Speaker 5: Brown eyed girl. People love people love when I play
- 10:39Speaker 5: Brown Eye Girl.
- 10:39Speaker 4: I'll tell you there's a certain age group that does
- 10:41Speaker 4: love it at every wedding.
- 10:43Speaker 6: So I'm playing primarily twenty five and thirty thirty year
- 10:46Speaker 6: olds getting married.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Okay, and I and.
- 10:50Speaker 5: And so when this song comes on, people go mild.
- 10:55Speaker 5: So turn this off, turn this off, turn this off.
- 11:00Speaker 3: It off, turn it off, turn it off.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Hold on, turn it off real.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Turn that off.
- 11:05Speaker 3: So Kenya, because we have a request.
- 11:07Speaker 5: So quickly.
- 11:09Speaker 1: So actually, we need you to cut that.
- 11:10Speaker 7: Ship off right now.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Turn it off or I rip your ead. So here's
- 11:18Speaker 4: my note for you.
- 11:19Speaker 5: But sorry, turn.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Off at the top of the mine.
- 11:24Speaker 5: So it doesn't sound like you're turning it off. Sounds
- 11:26Speaker 5: like you're singing along.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Turn it off. So let me tell you something, man,
- 11:31Speaker 4: just a little piece of advice. You might want to
- 11:32Speaker 4: write this down if you have a piece of pen
- 11:34Speaker 4: and a piece of paper nearby.
- 11:37Speaker 5: I could use my phone.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Okay, well, I don't know if you can based on
- 11:40Speaker 4: turning that song off. Listen, let me tell you right now, bro.
- 11:44Speaker 4: That song is for children to dance to their aunts to. Okay,
- 11:48Speaker 4: So if you don't see children, if you don't see ants,
- 11:50Speaker 4: then it's not going to happen.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Or specifically, if their ants die and they want to
- 11:54Speaker 2: dance to their ants, like in celebrated.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Memorial in honor of their ants.
- 12:00Speaker 5: So that's kind of what you should keep an eye
- 12:01Speaker 5: out for that. Yeah, okay, But.
- 12:03Speaker 1: However, this song is quintessential and it is a necessary
- 12:07Speaker 1: part of every wedding for when everybody young wants to
- 12:11Speaker 1: go do something else and you gotta distract the old
- 12:14Speaker 1: people or somebody made something the dad's upset. If the
- 12:18Speaker 1: dad father of the bride is upset, you gotta whip
- 12:21Speaker 1: out that brown eyed Girl faster than you can even
- 12:24Speaker 1: think about it.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I think I only played brown Eyed Girl once and
- 12:27Speaker 2: it was a wedding where these mashed potatoes were so good,
- 12:30Speaker 2: so people went back for a second helping a mashed potatoes.
- 12:33Speaker 3: So I needed more on.
- 12:34Speaker 2: My playlist, so I went, let's play something that's just
- 12:37Speaker 2: like another round of dinner.
- 12:38Speaker 3: So I played that song.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Something important to note too, is that that song originally
- 12:43Speaker 4: did it was brown Skin Girl, and that's a real thing.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Is that real brown skin girl? Than changing to brown
- 12:50Speaker 4: eyed Girl? I think a good move.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I think a good move as well. I want to
- 12:54Speaker 1: talk about another song that is a staple to the
- 12:57Speaker 1: old people community getting those guys on the dance floor.
- 13:01Speaker 7: It's so important and I think you're gonna.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Know what it is.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Oh, this is Hotel California. This is good. I've never thought.
- 13:12Speaker 1: To play this, and this is a believe it or not,
- 13:15Speaker 1: a staple of the wedding DJ community, and every time
- 13:18Speaker 1: it comes on, you think, why are they playing this?
- 13:20Speaker 2: I think I played this when I couldn't get them
- 13:23Speaker 2: to stop eating those mashed potatoes.
- 13:25Speaker 4: So I said, get up, and you played this huge
- 13:28Speaker 4: and gay weddings this song right now because it feels
- 13:31Speaker 4: like what it's like to be in the closets.
- 13:35Speaker 3: And it takes a while to keep going.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Yeah, honestly, it's a two minute opening. I know this
- 13:39Speaker 6: song very well. So I've just got a couple questions.
- 13:43Speaker 6: If you guys turn it off, turn it off, turn
- 13:45Speaker 6: that off?
- 13:46Speaker 5: Do you guys?
- 13:47Speaker 6: Do you guys like how you guys feel like you
- 13:49Speaker 6: have a science behind your playlist? Like are you guys
- 13:51Speaker 6: have it all planned out? Are you guys improvising in
- 13:54Speaker 6: the moment? Like what's going on?
- 13:56Speaker 4: There's the standards, right, everyone has a standard that they're
- 13:59Speaker 4: going with. One has a couple songs that need to
- 14:02Speaker 4: be on a playlist. I like to give the bride
- 14:05Speaker 4: and the groom, or the bride and the bride of
- 14:06Speaker 4: the groom and the groom, or.
- 14:07Speaker 5: The married person and the married person.
- 14:09Speaker 4: I like to give them opportunities. They get ten songs
- 14:12Speaker 4: they request, otherwise I cover everything else.
- 14:15Speaker 3: You give them ten slots.
- 14:16Speaker 4: They get ten slots and they can put in whatever
- 14:19Speaker 4: they want. Usually it's that's incredible nyan Cat theme song
- 14:22Speaker 4: or some other weird shit that I don't understand. They've
- 14:25Speaker 4: requested niane Cat theme song. Yeah, they played nian Cat
- 14:28Speaker 4: theme song.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Almost.
- 14:29Speaker 1: What are you marrying?
- 14:30Speaker 5: Dorks? You know what? I don't see a social class? Okay,
- 14:36Speaker 5: I never.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Said dorks were a social class.
- 14:38Speaker 5: I get dorks.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I want to know you got into this? Oh god,
- 14:43Speaker 3: we know it.
- 14:44Speaker 5: We know it. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Presenting Spencer and even my god theraver as boyfriends.
- 14:56Speaker 5: I hate that shit.
- 14:57Speaker 6: So they won it for their song down the Aisle, yeah, wsle.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Al and turned it off by wait.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Speaking of dorks, I want to know you sound like
- 15:09Speaker 2: you got into this in a funny way.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Well, I got into this, and.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You need a hilarious way. I don't know if it
- 15:15Speaker 1: was hilarious for they, but people were sure, we're laughing.
- 15:19Speaker 1: So I showed up to my niece's wedding expecting to
- 15:23Speaker 1: be just a guest, right, And then so she hired
- 15:28Speaker 1: this DJ, and this DJ didn't know what he was doing.
- 15:31Speaker 1: He was so overwhelmed. And then my niece, she's a
- 15:34Speaker 1: bit of a fire brand, right, She's a bit of
- 15:37Speaker 1: a hothead, Okay, And so everything was going wrong, the
- 15:41Speaker 1: cake was wrong, the groom was screaming at her, everything.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Was going wrong. Soon to be husband with screaming at her.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Oh, already husband by this point, because we're at the reception.
- 15:54Speaker 1: So it's bad news for everybody. So she goes up
- 15:57Speaker 1: to the DJ booth and she really takes it out
- 16:00Speaker 1: on him.
- 16:00Speaker 7: She really unloads on this guy.
- 16:02Speaker 1: He was an unfair target of her aggression, and so
- 16:06Speaker 1: he leaves.
- 16:07Speaker 7: He decides it's not worth it.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Sure, And so what happened on the dance floor was
- 16:11Speaker 1: there was a power vacuum, right, And so I decided, well,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I'm a guy. I got ears, I got a mouth,
- 16:18Speaker 1: I got two hands, and I think I know what
- 16:21Speaker 1: makes a party. So I stepped up to that DJ
- 16:25Speaker 1: booth and this is what I did. Okay, asks you dance.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I need ants. I need uncles, I cousins. I need
- 16:37Speaker 1: women and children. I need our nation's veterans. I need
- 16:41Speaker 1: our nations people who were never serving the war. I
- 16:45Speaker 1: need the people who were drafted in Vietnam and light
- 16:47Speaker 1: about it.
- 16:48Speaker 7: I want all the doctors.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Is there a doctor on the plane.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I need every single one of you on the dance
- 16:54Speaker 1: floor right now.
- 16:56Speaker 3: If you're an uncle, grab the bride's friend.
- 16:59Speaker 7: If you're an ant grib the groom's friend, and.
- 17:02Speaker 3: I want you crazy.
- 17:05Speaker 2: What I love about you is you almost you almost
- 17:08Speaker 2: are like like saying the.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Groups of a plane boarding for you ask.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Like you ask like the vets, the women with children,
- 17:16Speaker 2: group B, group A.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Well, it's important to make sure everybody at the wedding
- 17:21Speaker 1: feels like they're included, you know. And I'm just a
- 17:25Speaker 1: party guy. I follow the party and the party follows me.
- 17:28Speaker 1: So and some people say I saved the wedding. Some
- 17:32Speaker 1: people said it was really loud when I took over,
- 17:35Speaker 1: so mixed reviews.
- 17:36Speaker 7: But I got the bug and.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Now I DJ under the name DJ Uncle Todd, and
- 17:42Speaker 1: I go all across Orange County.
- 17:46Speaker 7: No, Huntington Beach one of them.
- 17:49Speaker 5: So Orange County, AZUSA and Huntington Beach.
- 17:52Speaker 2: To be honest, let me tell you something. As a
- 17:54Speaker 2: kind of Christian, I go to those places all the time.
- 17:57Speaker 7: Those are the places.
- 17:58Speaker 1: If there's a farm house, wedding venue, or a cafeteria
- 18:02Speaker 1: of some sort, you bet your ass I'm there, and
- 18:04Speaker 1: I'm picking up the pieces of a broken brine.
- 18:06Speaker 4: And how you found in your music? I mean it
- 18:08Speaker 4: sounds like it feels almost intuitive. It feels like you
- 18:11Speaker 4: naturally found that.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I'll tell you exactly what I do. I go to
- 18:16Speaker 1: i m dB, I type in works animation, and I
- 18:20Speaker 1: go to the end credits of every animated movie.
- 18:23Speaker 5: That's a lot of work, my man.
- 18:26Speaker 3: But man, you get some come on between the O
- 18:29Speaker 3: C and AZUSA.
- 18:35Speaker 5: We got.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Too many djos happen.
- 18:40Speaker 7: Well, let's see if they work as a mashup.
- 18:42Speaker 5: Okay, you go, you do yours first, and then it
- 18:47Speaker 5: will go into my Oh no, no.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Okay, now what's happening with yours?
- 18:53Speaker 3: Okay, I'm gonna play myne.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Po.
- 19:01Speaker 7: Wow, that's a tough mashup.
- 19:03Speaker 3: It doesn't work. Woo.
- 19:07Speaker 5: You guys are so good at this. That was a
- 19:09Speaker 5: flawless that's a kind of Christian.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I love the Rascal Flats. They're so Christian. And Jason,
- 19:15Speaker 3: it's awesome.
- 19:17Speaker 5: Okay, I just thought of a crazy game.
- 19:19Speaker 6: Maybe you guys, like, what if we give each other
- 19:22Speaker 6: scenarios and play the song you'd play in that scenario.
- 19:25Speaker 4: That's awesome. That sounds like a freaking blast. And he says,
- 19:28Speaker 4: you're bad at this.
- 19:29Speaker 5: I don't feel confident in it. I don't feel confident
- 19:32Speaker 5: in it. You're probably good at this if you have
- 19:34Speaker 5: just like that.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Can we start?
- 19:35Speaker 2: Can we start wedding scenarios and then build up like,
- 19:39Speaker 2: let's let's start like father daughter dance, Like I want
- 19:41Speaker 2: to know what your guys' go tous are.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Well, So this is interesting because we usually don't get
- 19:46Speaker 4: to choose those, right, Yeah, but I bet I bet
- 19:49Speaker 4: we all have opinions like.
- 19:52Speaker 6: Dream fada, you play your favorite, this is your scenario,
- 19:56Speaker 6: your father daughter dance scenario.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Or like one of your fas, your faves.
- 20:01Speaker 7: Well, I have one pulled up.
- 20:02Speaker 1: If anybody, if you if you got okay, so if
- 20:06Speaker 1: the bra, if the if the father or the daughter
- 20:09Speaker 1: forget to turn in a request or something happens to them,
- 20:12Speaker 1: or I just think they're wrong. I like to play
- 20:14Speaker 1: something that sort of implies that the dad and the
- 20:17Speaker 1: daughter are in.
- 20:17Speaker 7: A romantic relationship.
- 20:19Speaker 1: And whoa way, because that's what Okay, these songs are
- 20:22Speaker 1: all right, Uncle Todd? No, no, oh no, I'm getting
- 20:27Speaker 1: my phone turned off.
- 20:29Speaker 7: Hold on, oh here, we know you.
- 20:33Speaker 2: You're insecure, don't know it far, you're turning heads.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I'll say, I'm not a I'm not a weirdo. It's
- 20:42Speaker 1: hard to find a song that's about appropriate for a
- 20:45Speaker 1: dad and a daughter to dance to that's also kind
- 20:48Speaker 1: of sweet or emotionally charged.
- 20:49Speaker 5: In the White Whale. It's really tough the White Whale.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I'm dying now.
- 20:55Speaker 4: I have had dad's call me and sit down with
- 20:57Speaker 4: me and say, hey, I need a list. I'll send
- 20:58Speaker 4: him twenty and they say, you think I want to
- 21:00Speaker 4: fuck my daughter. It happens all the time.
- 21:02Speaker 1: You guys are freaking idiots.
- 21:04Speaker 5: There's so many options. Okay, okay, well, why don't you
- 21:07Speaker 5: go point dexter?
- 21:13Speaker 7: Is that other song star?
- 21:14Speaker 5: Yeah, isn't she lovely?
- 21:18Speaker 4: And you're gonna stand by babies crying on the dance floor.
- 21:21Speaker 3: You always just go into the intro. My son JP
- 21:24Speaker 3: always cuts that part out.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Okay.
- 21:28Speaker 2: If anything, I think this is a basic choice. This
- 21:30Speaker 2: is like getting a black coffee.
- 21:31Speaker 3: With half and half.
- 21:32Speaker 5: I think it's basically.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Isn't she love and then I cut it out? Nice thing?
- 21:40Speaker 3: It because I'm trying to sell my one ap anyway.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Trying to sell an EP.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not too bad, all right. I like it.
- 21:46Speaker 4: I like the initiative, but my weddings are a little different.
- 21:48Speaker 4: So we're usually going with something a little like this.
- 21:57Speaker 4: And do they ask for this, yes, most dances.
- 22:07Speaker 7: I can see it now.
- 22:09Speaker 3: The daddy's putting.
- 22:10Speaker 1: His arms on the top of the daughter, and the
- 22:12Speaker 1: daughter's putting her hands on top of the dad.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Mommy, don't know. Daddy's getting hot. There's a father in
- 22:18Speaker 5: the song.
- 22:21Speaker 7: It's a song that explicitly mentions fathers. I'll give you that.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Nobody can argue with that, and nobody can take that
- 22:28Speaker 1: away from you.
- 22:29Speaker 5: By man, that's right.
- 22:30Speaker 4: And it crushes, it slays the boots down house Mama,
- 22:35Speaker 4: So dad, they.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Usually do this right when the bread is out right,
- 22:39Speaker 2: like the salads are coming out.
- 22:40Speaker 5: Yeah, we usually do the father answer the bread comes down.
- 22:46Speaker 5: I'll tell you why.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Here's something doing something on the hole you're singing it, Yeah, daddy,
- 22:52Speaker 4: here's the thing. If I start the night like that,
- 22:56Speaker 4: where the fuck are we going?
- 22:57Speaker 1: It kind of feels like we're heading into a beat
- 23:00Speaker 1: sm horror wedding after this.
- 23:02Speaker 2: And you know what, I know you're not selling anything,
- 23:05Speaker 2: but I'm buying exactly.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 23:07Speaker 6: I feel like that you guys have inspired me, like
- 23:11Speaker 6: and it really I think you guys will love my choice.
- 23:19Speaker 5: Is this layla? No? Is this yoda? Yeah? Weird al Yoda?
- 23:28Speaker 7: My man, you're bad at this?
- 23:30Speaker 5: What you're not? You're not even funny at this? You're
- 23:34Speaker 5: just bad at what do you mean? You know?
- 23:38Speaker 1: I was suspecting that you'd be like an insecure Mozart type,
- 23:42Speaker 1: that you'd actually be really good at this.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Turn it off, turn it off.
- 23:50Speaker 5: The best part is coming up the best part. That's
- 23:57Speaker 5: my favorite line. That's awesome.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a wedding DJ. Don't pick songs were the
- 24:00Speaker 4: best parts forty seconds in. That's my advice.
- 24:02Speaker 5: That stuff.
- 24:03Speaker 3: You gotta start with it.
- 24:04Speaker 7: Oh man, Okay, how about a different way?
- 24:06Speaker 1: Did you do yours? You did your talk about a
- 24:09Speaker 1: different scenario? Okay, scenario and this is one of my
- 24:13Speaker 1: favorite scenarios. One of my favorite things that happens in
- 24:16Speaker 1: a wedding. It's when because the girls, they're a fragile bunch.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Right, fragile.
- 24:24Speaker 1: It requires a delicate balance to keep all the bridle
- 24:28Speaker 1: party in check because you never.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Know what they're scream hard.
- 24:34Speaker 1: So this girls and presenting keep going yes and thank
- 24:37Speaker 1: you for checking me my cha. Okay, so picture this.
- 24:46Speaker 1: We're two hours into the scenario. Into the non the
- 24:50Speaker 1: scenario two hours into the reception and relations between the
- 24:54Speaker 1: maid of honor and one of the bridal party are
- 24:56Speaker 1: breaking down.
- 24:57Speaker 7: And they're breaking down fast.
- 24:59Speaker 1: You can They're about to talk about something real on
- 25:02Speaker 1: the dance floor. You need all those girls out there
- 25:05Speaker 1: right now, break that fight up.
- 25:07Speaker 3: What do you play?
- 25:08Speaker 2: Oh, this is the best scenario. When I tell you,
- 25:11Speaker 2: I mean this, I can play this game for literally
- 25:14Speaker 2: six hours.
- 25:16Speaker 6: So your scenario is, get all the girls on the
- 25:19Speaker 6: dance floor now.
- 25:20Speaker 3: But consider the motivation behind it.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, consider the stakes.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Your stakes are really high. This could be friendship ending
- 25:27Speaker 1: unless you get all those girls on the floor right.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Now, maybe the last night of their life or the
- 25:32Speaker 4: beginning of coming over.
- 25:33Speaker 5: What their problems were exactly?
- 25:35Speaker 3: Okay, I don't want a big brain this.
- 25:37Speaker 5: But how old are they there?
- 25:40Speaker 1: I want to say average age. I can't tell how
- 25:42Speaker 1: old a woman is because they're all beautiful.
- 25:44Speaker 5: To me.
- 25:45Speaker 4: The oldest wedding that i've the oldest wedding that i've
- 25:47Speaker 4: i've DJ'ed, they were twenty six.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Okay, weird people are getting married so young lately.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, they gotta stop, I think, I mean, just for
- 25:56Speaker 1: their sake, just for everybody's saying, get married when you're
- 25:59Speaker 1: forty five. That's what I've learned. None of you can
- 26:02Speaker 1: handle it. Everybody's got hormones still raging. People say your
- 26:06Speaker 1: your brain developed, finishing is developed when you're twenty five.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I don't buy it. I think you need another twenty
- 26:11Speaker 1: years to keep on cooking. I'll tell you what I'll play.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I might have to call my son JP for this one.
- 26:17Speaker 7: I'll tell you what I play, and it's it's this.
- 26:24Speaker 5: Oh, this is a big one.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Okay, so this is tried and true.
- 26:27Speaker 5: Pink is the godmother of weddings.
- 26:29Speaker 4: She is.
- 26:31Speaker 1: If Pink is the godmother, Bruno Mars is the godfather.
- 26:35Speaker 3: They could run this whole thing to me.
- 26:38Speaker 2: This song, to me, this song to me is like
- 26:41Speaker 2: a balloon to a birthday party exactly.
- 26:45Speaker 5: And you can tell, you can tell.
- 26:46Speaker 7: If Pink were there, she'd be up in the air.
- 26:48Speaker 7: She'd be doing aerial.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Song, flip it around with those thighs.
- 26:52Speaker 7: I love that, Pink. I tell you what that was?
- 26:54Speaker 5: Great? Not yet?
- 26:57Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, well you guys keep thing. I'll keep playing.
- 27:01Speaker 5: Oh I got one, you got we're bringing the girls together.
- 27:04Speaker 7: We're bringing the girls together.
- 27:05Speaker 4: All right, Yeah, this is what I say. All right,
- 27:08Speaker 4: I say, put your petty differences aside. I say, all right,
- 27:12Speaker 4: because I'm obvious about it, and I look, it's I
- 27:15Speaker 4: always like to say it. I like to I like
- 27:17Speaker 4: to call it like it is. And I say, put
- 27:19Speaker 4: that petty difference aside and hang out with your siss and.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Sissy that wah.
- 27:31Speaker 1: For the girls.
- 27:32Speaker 5: This is for the girls. Come on, girls, This one's
- 27:37Speaker 5: for the girls. This is for the girls.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Because it seems like it's technically for girls, but it's
- 27:51Speaker 1: not really for.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Girls, right, I mean girls hear it when I play it.
- 27:58Speaker 5: That's great.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Okay, I got one.
- 28:01Speaker 5: Get to the course. Yeah you can as you the chorus.
- 28:04Speaker 5: Oh you're not even following your own cardinal rule. Rules
- 28:07Speaker 5: are meant to be broken.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Alright.
- 28:11Speaker 7: Wow, this one takes a while to get to it.
- 28:13Speaker 5: Listen. That one doesn't always work.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Carry I got one.
- 28:17Speaker 5: I got one.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Uh, this one is using their state of mind. I
- 28:20Speaker 2: texted in my son JP from Chatsworth.
- 28:23Speaker 3: This is one.
- 28:26Speaker 6: Oh, this will get this because they're pissed, right, I
- 28:29Speaker 6: got I've gotta girls do it well.
- 28:35Speaker 5: This is so good.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Meanwhile, I'm going the Old People bus is leaving in
- 28:39Speaker 2: five minutes because we're out of winery usually, and they
- 28:43Speaker 2: test to take them down.
- 28:44Speaker 6: The hill, and just going off of that, I feel
- 28:46Speaker 6: like this song that it's gonna capture. Okay, ready your pause,
- 28:52Speaker 6: I play.
- 28:55Speaker 5: Oh my god, No.
- 28:57Speaker 1: If I'm a girl and I'm fighting with my brand
- 29:00Speaker 1: this place, I want to punch her in the base.
- 29:02Speaker 7: I want to drag her by the hair, and I
- 29:03Speaker 7: want to get her on the dance floor and I
- 29:04Speaker 7: want to kill her.
- 29:05Speaker 3: I want to find a man that we both like,
- 29:07Speaker 3: and I want to use.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Him between us.
- 29:09Speaker 3: I want to kiss him.
- 29:09Speaker 5: I want to kiss him absolutely. You know what I'm playing.
- 29:13Speaker 5: When you finish, I push.
- 29:14Speaker 4: You out of the side and I play this, We're
- 29:20Speaker 4: getting everyone together, the world unites on super bass, and because.
- 29:23Speaker 2: He did such a bad job at that, I'm pushing
- 29:25Speaker 2: you with that and I'm playing this.
- 29:28Speaker 3: This is to find gravity the Glee version.
- 29:31Speaker 7: And since that sucks, and since that sucks ass, I'm
- 29:33Speaker 7: playing this.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Oh this good girls, and then I have to repeat it.
- 29:39Speaker 2: The old people bus is leaving now.
- 29:42Speaker 7: And once again it does have to go down there.
- 29:45Speaker 1: H So you get on that bus, get that wine,
- 29:49Speaker 1: take that last stipp of wine and you better get
- 29:51Speaker 1: down there.
- 29:52Speaker 4: Okay, I got something, I got a scenario. I'm loving
- 29:55Speaker 4: these scenarios. They're really fine.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Again, can play this game for four hours.
- 30:00Speaker 4: So literally, So here's the deal. Here's my song scenario
- 30:05Speaker 4: right now.
- 30:06Speaker 5: It's the cake. The cake's being cuts. That promotes eating.
- 30:11Speaker 4: We need a song that promotes having a good time
- 30:13Speaker 4: cutting the cake because this is gonna be in a
- 30:15Speaker 4: lot of videos. So you're seeing this social everywhere. So
- 30:19Speaker 4: what is the song that you're playing. Well, they're cutting
- 30:21Speaker 4: that cake and maybe this is the type of the
- 30:23Speaker 4: wedding where they rub the cake on each other's faces,
- 30:25Speaker 4: they feed each other, everyone gets messy.
- 30:27Speaker 5: You don't want a song that makes them dance. You
- 30:29Speaker 5: want a song that promotes standing.
- 30:31Speaker 3: That adds to it.
- 30:32Speaker 5: What's twist?
- 30:33Speaker 3: Okay, they're cutting the cake.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Meanwhile, it's a small cake because the guests have a dippin'
- 30:39Speaker 2: dots box.
- 30:40Speaker 5: Oh yeah, gay, it's good.
- 30:41Speaker 3: So the guts go to diget the dipbuts dip dots.
- 30:45Speaker 2: This has happened to me all the time, where the
- 30:46Speaker 2: guests look for the Christians kind of Christians too, which
- 30:50Speaker 2: is my Mike guy tell and I'll tell you what.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I have an answer to this, to cutting the cake scenario,
- 30:56Speaker 1: because and I don't want to alarm anybody, but I'm
- 30:59Speaker 1: pretty funny. I'm kind of known as the funny uncle.
- 31:02Speaker 1: So as soon as that cake knife is coming out,
- 31:05Speaker 1: I'm blasting this. And when it gets chorus, you'll hear
- 31:12Speaker 1: why it's good?
- 31:15Speaker 3: Oh no, see you looking round? My kids up.
- 31:20Speaker 5: These words.
- 31:23Speaker 6: That is so good. I feel like I've got a
- 31:26Speaker 6: perfect one to follow.
- 31:27Speaker 3: That tiptoe here comes wait time.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I'm in the masterpiece, masterpieces piece.
- 31:35Speaker 5: You should be rolling me.
- 31:38Speaker 1: We have to wait till the dorus to wait ready,
- 31:40Speaker 1: because you're gonna laugh when you hear it.
- 31:42Speaker 5: We have to wait.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I love this chorus, just for the clips.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Talk to me, We'll get you.
- 31:51Speaker 3: It's a tagline, you're saying.
- 31:53Speaker 5: The song is playing.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm talking over it.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I'm making sure that people know that it's gonna be ready.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Hold that knife, keep on open, cake the ocean now cut.
- 32:04Speaker 5: That is so great.
- 32:06Speaker 6: I feel like I've got a perfect, perfect follow up,
- 32:08Speaker 6: and hopefully you guys will like this one.
- 32:14Speaker 7: What's happening here?
- 32:19Speaker 5: What is this? This is? Have you now?
- 32:24Speaker 6: The last song on Megan Trainer's twenty twenty album Myself.
- 32:29Speaker 1: You are so out of your depth. Oh I triggered Siri.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Your horrible song triggered Siri?
- 32:35Speaker 5: What what's wrong with it?
- 32:38Speaker 1: I just don't know what to feel. I don't know
- 32:40Speaker 1: where I am. I don't know who I am when
- 32:42Speaker 1: I listen to this.
- 32:43Speaker 4: I don't touch Meghan Trainer with one hundred foot pole
- 32:45Speaker 4: at my weddings. We don't do it. We don't go
- 32:47Speaker 4: near Meghan Trainer. Turn this off, please, I'm trying. Can
- 32:50Speaker 4: I tell you what I do.
- 32:54Speaker 7: So hard to listen to?
- 32:56Speaker 6: I just wait for it. This my favorite parts when
- 33:03Speaker 6: she says stay with me for now.
- 33:05Speaker 7: Oh my god, that's anti climbacy.
- 33:07Speaker 6: So you guys don't think Megan Trainer's whole career is
- 33:09Speaker 6: trying to become a wedding person.
- 33:11Speaker 3: That's I didn't even know that was your argument for
- 33:13Speaker 3: this whole thing.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Look, I know that a Megan Trainer can work.
- 33:18Speaker 7: Come on, lips are moving? Are you kidding me? Come
- 33:21Speaker 7: to your future?
- 33:24Speaker 5: But let me tell her.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Wouldn't she love it? If I said that she was
- 33:28Speaker 4: perfect for weddings?
- 33:29Speaker 5: Wouldn't she love that? Which is why I'm not going
- 33:30Speaker 5: to do it.
- 33:31Speaker 3: That's so fucking true.
- 33:32Speaker 4: She would love it. All right, I gotta play this side. Okay,
- 33:35Speaker 4: this is a cake song that I like to play.
- 33:36Speaker 4: They're cutting the cake and this is the music they
- 33:39Speaker 4: like to Usually this works for every wedding I'm doing.
- 33:53Speaker 4: They're getting the knife out, they're hanging out, and I'm saying,
- 33:56Speaker 4: ladies and gentlemen, get ready for this.
- 34:00Speaker 5: This feels kind of Christian.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's give it a second. Okay, sorry, they're
- 34:09Speaker 4: getting ready. You don't want the lyrics to pop.
- 34:13Speaker 9: You wanted me calling me a yeah.
- 34:17Speaker 7: I don't know what moment did they cut?
- 34:19Speaker 3: Six the beaches in the Teaches.
- 34:22Speaker 5: Of Teaches cut?
- 34:27Speaker 2: Okay, here's mine. Mine's a little bit of a non secretary.
- 34:29Speaker 2: But this song just means a lot to be personally.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Okay.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I actually think this is a gorgeous cake cutting perfect.
- 34:40Speaker 7: I think this is sincere.
- 34:46Speaker 3: I just love that iPod nano ad that came out
- 34:49Speaker 3: I missed.
- 34:51Speaker 5: I we take a moment and talk about.
- 34:53Speaker 4: The nana most intuitive interface on any music player I've
- 34:56Speaker 4: ever seen.
- 34:57Speaker 1: The way I had to take my beefy thumbs and
- 35:00Speaker 1: sort of maneuver that little wheel and they kept making
- 35:03Speaker 1: it smaller and smaller every year.
- 35:05Speaker 2: And man, I missed the nanos good scenario.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Can I ask you guys a question about being a
- 35:14Speaker 5: d J? Yes, some issues here and there that come up.
- 35:17Speaker 4: What happens when you have to make some sort of
- 35:18Speaker 4: complicated an announcement that you feel like is personally directed
- 35:21Speaker 4: towards somebody else, When you feel like you're being used
- 35:24Speaker 4: as a tool, a conduit for one person to make
- 35:26Speaker 4: a comment on the way another person is enjoying the.
- 35:28Speaker 5: Web happen like how this happens?
- 35:31Speaker 4: Like when the bride comes up and says, can you
- 35:33Speaker 4: let everyone know that that they can't get thirds?
- 35:36Speaker 5: Because my uncle just got third.
- 35:38Speaker 1: It is so hard, it's so hard and so passive
- 35:42Speaker 1: as it is.
- 35:43Speaker 5: Where I fall apart. This is where I don't know
- 35:47Speaker 5: how to do it.
- 35:47Speaker 3: I mean hard we're doing we're playing games tonight. I
- 35:50Speaker 3: think we should all do this.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Ready, I'm going to give you a challenge and you
- 35:54Speaker 2: have to do it. Okay, Ready, So I'm going to
- 35:56Speaker 2: give you the challenges because ready, you have to you
- 36:00Speaker 2: have to you have to tell everybody to come on
- 36:03Speaker 2: the dance floor, but also you gotta tell the FIAT
- 36:07Speaker 2: to move behind.
- 36:08Speaker 3: You have to tell the Fiat that it's in front
- 36:11Speaker 3: of uh.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to tell the just married car. You
- 36:16Speaker 2: have to tell the Fiat to move because it's in
- 36:18Speaker 2: front of the just married car.
- 36:19Speaker 5: I got this exactly.
- 36:20Speaker 4: This is good, and I'm gonna say it in a
- 36:23Speaker 4: way that I don't have to exactly say it.
- 36:27Speaker 5: Okay, I'm gonna let the music to a little bit
- 36:31Speaker 5: of songer.
- 36:32Speaker 4: Okay, I'm gonna say, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for
- 36:34Speaker 4: everyone to get on the dance floor.
- 36:36Speaker 5: So everybody get on the dance floor.
- 36:38Speaker 4: And if you drive a Fiat, listen up to this song,
- 36:41Speaker 4: because I got some news for you.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Everyone on the dance floor.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Everyone on the dance floor, Hey, Fiat guy, listen up
- 36:46Speaker 4: right here.
- 36:51Speaker 5: That's good.
- 36:53Speaker 3: That sounds like that. This is why you're at the panelty.
- 36:55Speaker 1: It kind of turns you into an evil DJ. That's
- 36:59Speaker 1: kind of fun to play with. And let me tell
- 37:01Speaker 1: you I'm on the dance floor number one. Also, if
- 37:03Speaker 1: I'm driving a Fiat, I'm moving, my god.
- 37:04Speaker 5: Exactly, everyone's chuckling, but we're also like.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Baby every and if I'm davy, I'm going oh, evil
- 37:11Speaker 1: DJ got me?
- 37:12Speaker 3: Okay, now you give somebody else the challenge.
- 37:14Speaker 4: All right, okay, uncle Tod, Okay, here we go. Okay,
- 37:17Speaker 4: your challenge is you have just been told by the bride, yeah,
- 37:22Speaker 4: that you have to tell her mother she needs a
- 37:26Speaker 4: super home because she's too drunk.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Now, you don't necessarily need to use the song that was.
- 37:31Speaker 5: You don't have to use this. You could just use
- 37:32Speaker 5: your voice.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I know exactly the thing, because here's the thing
- 37:37Speaker 1: I have to deliver.
- 37:38Speaker 3: What what point of the night is it?
- 37:39Speaker 5: Again?
- 37:40Speaker 4: It is too early, so it's before cake. It's about
- 37:42Speaker 4: seven thirty.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Classic, classic, it's seven.
- 37:50Speaker 7: We have not cut the cake yet.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Mom is gonna miss the speeches, but her condition is unsustainable.
- 37:55Speaker 7: She's gotta go home. Correct, So this is a critical point, right.
- 38:00Speaker 3: He's gone in the background.
- 38:01Speaker 1: We have to well, no I haven't.
- 38:02Speaker 3: I have it. I have it.
- 38:03Speaker 1: So we have to make sure that this that the
- 38:07Speaker 1: vibes continue because it's way too early.
- 38:09Speaker 7: Once more, so I put on this.
- 38:14Speaker 5: Okay, it's always a good time.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So this captures my message, right, So I say, hey, guys,
- 38:23Speaker 1: it's still a good time. We're still having a good time.
- 38:27Speaker 1: But I think somebody's had a little too good of
- 38:30Speaker 1: a time.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Mary, I'm talking to you.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Mary, your condition is unsustainable for this point of the nine.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I know you love your daughter, and I'll tell you what.
- 38:40Speaker 1: We love you too. We love you too, Mary, and
- 38:43Speaker 1: we love the way you're dancing, and in some ways
- 38:46Speaker 1: we love the way you're throwing up. But your biological
- 38:49Speaker 1: clock is ticking, the biological clock of alcohol poisoning. So
- 38:54Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, Mary. We got a party bus
- 38:56Speaker 1: out for you. It is an ambulance, and you're gonna
- 38:58Speaker 1: get inside and we're gonna keep the party going.
- 39:01Speaker 7: Be a FaceTime.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Okay, Now I.
- 39:03Speaker 7: Need everybody on the floor. Everybody show me how you move.
- 39:09Speaker 5: It still kind of sounded like a plane announcement, which
- 39:11Speaker 5: I love.
- 39:15Speaker 1: The best announcements often due it was clear and it
- 39:18Speaker 1: was really good.
- 39:20Speaker 3: You didn't hide much.
- 39:22Speaker 1: No, I didn't.
- 39:23Speaker 5: I found it.
- 39:23Speaker 1: If you face the issue head on.
- 39:25Speaker 4: We can all see it. We can all see it.
- 39:27Speaker 4: You know, Mary's Mary's Wilin'. You know, so we can
- 39:30Speaker 4: all see it.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Mary's wilin challenge. Okay, I'm gonna give a scenario. Okay,
- 39:36Speaker 1: all right, all right, Christian, I want to no waight,
- 39:38Speaker 1: oh no, because you did Okay, we'll go this way.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, kiddo, I want to give you a softball. Okay,
- 39:46Speaker 1: because you're pretty new on here.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Absolutely all right, bumpers on in the bowling out.
- 39:52Speaker 7: All you need to do. The buffet is open.
- 39:57Speaker 1: But if you're getting seconds, but if you're done with
- 40:00Speaker 1: your meal, it is not yet time for seconds.
- 40:04Speaker 5: That's a big one.
- 40:05Speaker 7: This time for seconds.
- 40:07Speaker 3: This in my early career, was a hard thing to learn.
- 40:10Speaker 3: But once I learned it, it.
- 40:11Speaker 5: Was like it clicked. It clicked once.
- 40:14Speaker 3: This is like training wheels, this one, this one totally.
- 40:17Speaker 7: The buffet is open.
- 40:19Speaker 1: However, yes, you have already started sneaking at the buffet.
- 40:24Speaker 1: It is not yet time for seconds.
- 40:26Speaker 5: Looking at the cousins. We're looking at a cousin.
- 40:29Speaker 1: We're looking at a kid wedding. We're looking at the kids.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Oh, this is similar to the gluten one.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, okay, you don't need to use music if
- 40:37Speaker 2: you just want to do the announcer.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Maybe he's just bad with music.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Maybe he can.
- 40:51Speaker 7: Hear, he'll maybe he'll really deliver it on the talking.
- 40:59Speaker 5: He lit on now from the from from the DJ boot.
- 41:04Speaker 6: Apparently, Apparently, some people, apparently some people are having too
- 41:09Speaker 6: much food, and that wasn't the message. Apparently they are
- 41:13Speaker 6: having too much food and they need to stop.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Positive spin, positive spin.
- 41:17Speaker 5: They need to stop now.
- 41:20Speaker 8: So so maybe find yourself to the dance floor. Find
- 41:27Speaker 8: yourself to the dance floor, and make your way now
- 41:31Speaker 8: to the dance floor to dance. You gotta dance now.
- 41:42Speaker 5: The message wasn't dance dance.
- 41:45Speaker 3: They just served the food.
- 41:46Speaker 5: You have to dance now, no chop in the sound
- 41:49Speaker 5: of the silence.
- 41:51Speaker 6: I pre mixed this.
- 41:53Speaker 5: This was pre mixed.
- 41:55Speaker 1: This was Oh, I know what's gonna do?
- 41:59Speaker 5: That was That was time the way you wanted to.
- 42:02Speaker 6: It's time perfectly because it's all my favorite parts of
- 42:04Speaker 6: my song, the beginnings off.
- 42:11Speaker 5: Shut it off, no way, that was timed out. You
- 42:15Speaker 5: paused so long. I didn't pause. That was timed out.
- 42:20Speaker 3: In the eighties.
- 42:21Speaker 5: Shut it off. I'm trying.
- 42:22Speaker 3: DJ is not that hard.
- 42:23Speaker 2: You make it look really You make it look like
- 42:26Speaker 2: it's like if you make it look really hard, it
- 42:28Speaker 2: look really hard.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Off.
- 42:31Speaker 5: Okay, wait, what am I waiting for? Waiting? Just wait?
- 42:36Speaker 5: You make us wait every time. That's my favorite part. Okay,
- 42:39Speaker 5: give me something hard, all right? This is on Newbie okay, Okay.
- 42:43Speaker 2: The bride needs a phone charger and also a ride
- 42:45Speaker 2: to Reno. Give me it, Give me anything that's tough.
- 42:48Speaker 5: You want something hard, Okay.
- 42:51Speaker 2: You can group mind it because honestly, I don't trust
- 42:53Speaker 2: anything goes out here.
- 42:54Speaker 6: Mouth Okay, this is actually really hard, a situation that
- 42:58Speaker 6: I had to deal with and I did not hit Well.
- 43:01Speaker 5: You are the DJ and it's wounding down.
- 43:05Speaker 6: You need to get people off the dance floor, but
- 43:07Speaker 6: not in a way that says the wedding's over. It
- 43:10Speaker 6: means we're going to move to the just married car now.
- 43:13Speaker 6: But also the bride and groom have just had a
- 43:16Speaker 6: huge fight and you don't know if they need five
- 43:18Speaker 6: or ten minutes to figure it out before they get
- 43:20Speaker 6: to the just married car and are ready to present themselves.
- 43:23Speaker 6: So you both need to get people off the dance
- 43:25Speaker 6: floor and figure out if you need more time. The
- 43:28Speaker 6: announcement part is you figuring out coordinating with the bridesmaid,
- 43:33Speaker 6: the main girl, the maid of honor, if you can
- 43:35Speaker 6: get her across the dance floor to tell you if
- 43:39Speaker 6: they need more time or not.
- 43:41Speaker 7: Okay, so she needs to get the brides maid over.
- 43:44Speaker 2: I need to communicate in the middle of the announcement.
- 43:48Speaker 2: I need to communicate with.
- 43:50Speaker 6: The brides Yes, you need to tell everybody that we're
- 43:52Speaker 6: going to move to the just married car. But you
- 43:54Speaker 6: need to communicate with the bridesmaid if she needs more time,
- 43:57Speaker 6: and then, depending on her answer, either more time or
- 44:01Speaker 6: move people to the just married you ask for a
- 44:03Speaker 6: hard one.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Yeah, So this this challenge is contingent on somebody else
- 44:07Speaker 2: giving me new information in the.
- 44:08Speaker 6: Middle, and I want you can make a choice. Okay,
- 44:11Speaker 6: you know what actually look to me. I'll be the bridesmaid.
- 44:14Speaker 6: I'll tell you what she said to me.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Okay, okay, what she says to you, and then you're
- 44:18Speaker 2: either gonna tell me if they need more time inside
- 44:21Speaker 2: before I send them outside, or if they should stay
- 44:24Speaker 2: inside before I send them outside exactly.
- 44:25Speaker 1: But she's already started talking, so she can't yeah, yeah, yeah, yea, yeah, Okay,
- 44:29Speaker 1: this is good.
- 44:29Speaker 5: This is good, got it?
- 44:32Speaker 3: Got it?
- 44:34Speaker 1: Oh, she's got it, got it. I can tell this
- 44:36Speaker 1: is gonna be good. It's such a fine line to
- 44:40Speaker 1: be a wedding DJ. I can't even tell.
- 44:42Speaker 2: You because what we're about to see here is me
- 44:44Speaker 2: doing where you hold the audience or the guests in
- 44:48Speaker 2: your hand, and you kind of just use them to stall.
- 44:51Speaker 3: You use them as silly puddy. Right.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Well, Look, being a wedding DJ is the table is
- 44:56Speaker 4: made out of sticks and glue, and we're the table cloth.
- 45:00Speaker 4: We make the whole thing look and feel seamless. But
- 45:03Speaker 4: at the end side we know that the whole thing
- 45:05Speaker 4: is falling apart. The wedding planner is drunk, the groom
- 45:08Speaker 4: is high on mushrooms. It's a disaster, and the woman.
- 45:13Speaker 5: So is the groom.
- 45:14Speaker 1: For me, where's the group?
- 45:15Speaker 3: Okay, here we go.
- 45:16Speaker 2: So I'm I'm gonna stall until the bride and groom
- 45:20Speaker 2: figure it out.
- 45:21Speaker 3: And the bridesway tells me what's going on.
- 45:23Speaker 5: The bridemaid is either going to tell you.
- 45:24Speaker 3: To send him outside or keep them inside. Here we go.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Olivia and Josh have had a night. They have had it.
- 45:40Speaker 2: I can I get everybody out front. Let me see
- 45:42Speaker 2: those eyes. Come on, guys, Come on, god, oh guys,
- 45:47Speaker 2: let me see everybody. Come on to the front.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Let's go. Let me see them all better.
- 45:54Speaker 5: Bom to left.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Here we go, tell the right, let me to the left.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Put you magic in me.
- 46:04Speaker 2: More time, okay, more time. I want to see everybody
- 46:07Speaker 2: in the middle. Now we're gonna get the Maid of Honor.
- 46:09Speaker 2: She picked up the book today, so.
- 46:11Speaker 5: I'm gonna see moves.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Let's go. Let's go, sany go, Siany.
- 46:16Speaker 5: Go, Cisse go, sisterdos go go Si.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Cousin Joe go, Cousin Joe, cause Joe, Cousin Joe.
- 46:25Speaker 5: We need more time.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, here we go. We're gonna do a cango line.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 46:31Speaker 2: I'm a dangerous man with the money in my pocket.
- 46:36Speaker 2: So many pretty gooles a running, but believest.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Out, get them out.
- 46:40Speaker 3: Now we're going outside. Olivia and Joe are leaving, folks.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Let's go cong the line. Come on, Cousin Joe, let's go.
- 46:46Speaker 2: We're taking my cousin line out. Time guys were headed outside.
- 46:49Speaker 2: We are seeing them. Bye to Olivia and Joe before
- 46:52Speaker 2: they finally lose their virginity because they're kind of Christians.
- 46:55Speaker 5: Let's go incredible, and you were watching.
- 47:01Speaker 7: You were walking on a tight woke, I wrote, but
- 47:04Speaker 7: you didn't let eye the.
- 47:05Speaker 6: Ren coll Oh boy, that I beefed it so much
- 47:12Speaker 6: harder than you did. You mastered that that was.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I didn't know I was competing with you.
- 47:16Speaker 6: That's not even No, it wasn't a competition. I just
- 47:18Speaker 6: had to go through that scenario. I played Prince one
- 47:21Speaker 6: of his slower songs and they just turned on me
- 47:24Speaker 6: like wild tip.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Yeah, because they can sense weakness in a DJ I
- 47:28Speaker 1: really can't really sense it, and they will come for you.
- 47:31Speaker 3: It's like hurting scared rabbits.
- 47:34Speaker 5: Yeah it is. It's exactly like that.
- 47:36Speaker 7: It's exactly like that.
- 47:37Speaker 5: I've learned.
- 47:38Speaker 6: You guys taught me. All you need is to be confident.
- 47:41Speaker 6: And if I'm confident, I can do it. All I
- 47:44Speaker 6: need is to direct them in the way and have confidence,
- 47:48Speaker 6: and that is so wonderful.
- 47:50Speaker 4: You also need to know how to use your equipment.
- 47:51Speaker 4: I would say that's one of the biggest things.
- 47:53Speaker 5: The board.
- 47:54Speaker 4: You need to know what kind of board, Which whish
- 47:55Speaker 4: board do you guys use? I use the Mac Super
- 47:57Speaker 4: Super eight in guys have that?
- 48:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I told you, guys, this is my biggest downfall
- 48:01Speaker 3: using an ox cord.
- 48:02Speaker 5: Right.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Yeah, that's tough. Well, I can one thing I can
- 48:08Speaker 1: say for sure. We all love weddings, we all love
- 48:12Speaker 1: doing it, and we're in it for the skin of
- 48:14Speaker 1: the game, for the skin of our teeth. We're in
- 48:16Speaker 1: it because we love love, and maybe we go around
- 48:20Speaker 1: and we give a little bit of advice to other
- 48:23Speaker 1: DJs who are doing.
- 48:23Speaker 7: It for the love of the game. They're maybe just
- 48:25Speaker 7: coming up.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Maybe maybe he can listen up. Yeah, i'd say, when
- 48:32Speaker 1: in doubt, there's only one thing you can tell people
- 48:35Speaker 1: to do.
- 48:38Speaker 4: Oh oh yeah, come.
- 48:42Speaker 3: On, guys, it solves all the life problems.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Y're walking away now, come on, I need everybody on
- 48:50Speaker 2: the floor.
- 48:51Speaker 1: There's only one thing you can do. I want you
- 48:53Speaker 1: to forget the fight you're having with her. I want
- 48:56Speaker 1: you to forget the fight you're having with him. I
- 48:58Speaker 1: want you to pick your up off the ground and
- 49:01Speaker 1: I want you to wheel her up onto the floor. Yes,
- 49:04Speaker 1: because there's only one thing to do, and that's dance.
- 49:07Speaker 1: We love fuck. Come on, we're in We're in love, folks.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Once again, it is not yet time for seconds.
- 49:13Speaker 5: Okay, that was inspired, That was that was incredible.
- 49:17Speaker 4: My My question for you guys before I answer the
- 49:20Speaker 4: question uh is uh uh, what do you guys? What's
- 49:24Speaker 4: your policy on flash mobs? Do you do all the
- 49:26Speaker 4: hassle of coordinating with whoever wants to run that flash
- 49:29Speaker 4: mob or what are you guys doing Are you guys
- 49:31Speaker 4: doing them or not?
- 49:33Speaker 5: I've tried. It does not go well.
- 49:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I say, you know what, You're gonna have to
- 49:37Speaker 4: use your own sound source because I'm not setting up
- 49:39Speaker 4: a flash mob for you.
- 49:40Speaker 5: Yeah. No, I have enough shit going on.
- 49:43Speaker 7: It's hands off, it is.
- 49:44Speaker 1: We cannot that whatever people have chosen as a flash
- 49:48Speaker 1: mob is of their own volition.
- 49:49Speaker 7: We gotta let them be their own funeral.
- 49:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I let them.
- 49:52Speaker 3: You can.
- 49:53Speaker 2: You can email me and I will help you prep
- 49:55Speaker 2: only twenty four hours before. Yeah, but if you start
- 49:58Speaker 2: prepping before, then my time starts. I just gotta start
- 50:01Speaker 2: my time.
- 50:02Speaker 5: You start, you start building like the Maid of Honor.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Literally, because the more that the that a flash moob
- 50:09Speaker 1: is prepared, the more you know it's gonna fall apart.
- 50:12Speaker 1: You know, you know that the emotional stakes are gonna
- 50:15Speaker 1: be too high, and the flash mob is not gonna work,
- 50:18Speaker 1: and it's gonna mean implications for the relationship in a
- 50:21Speaker 1: way that it should not. I think that's really smart.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Plan a day before if you're gonna do it, Yeah.
- 50:26Speaker 5: That is genius. Anybody else with advice?
- 50:28Speaker 3: All right, I got some advice. If you want to
- 50:31Speaker 3: be an author, a singer, a dad.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Anything, a DJ. You can be at all. I don't
- 50:39Speaker 2: do anything great. I do it all kind of good.
- 50:42Speaker 2: And that's okay. That is okay. America is full of
- 50:47Speaker 2: them like that, okay, And you can do that as
- 50:51Speaker 2: long as you keep dancing.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Come on, guys, we're going outside. We have she can't
- 51:00Speaker 2: go outside because there's a noise orderance ordance. So put
- 51:04Speaker 2: on these the silent disco headphones because we can't play
- 51:08Speaker 2: music outside past t at ten pm, and say goodbye
- 51:11Speaker 2: to Josh and Olivia.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Good night, y'all.
- 51:13Speaker 5: Wow, that's awesome. That's awesome.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:18Speaker 5: Well, my advice it would be simple.
- 51:20Speaker 4: Love doesn't always look like how you think it's gonna look,
- 51:23Speaker 4: not only from who you date or how you get married,
- 51:26Speaker 4: but what happens at your wedding. It might not be
- 51:29Speaker 4: the dream that you had when you were a kid.
- 51:31Speaker 4: It might not go perfect. Everyone might not stay sober,
- 51:34Speaker 4: everyone might not show up. Somebody might get sick, somebody
- 51:38Speaker 4: might get hurt, somebody might be sad. Try to throw
- 51:40Speaker 4: off the vibe. What I can tell you is, no
- 51:43Speaker 4: matter who you are, no matter who you love, you
- 51:45Speaker 4: gotta be honest. You gotta be upfront and whatever you are,
- 51:49Speaker 4: make sure you're not toxic. Ladies and gentlemen, let's give

- 52:16Speaker 3: Oh no, I hate that.
- 52:18Speaker 5: I feel good.
- 52:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I know we're big on endings, right, that's like
- 52:22Speaker 4: big for DJs. The ending is sometimes you're.

- 53:07Speaker 6: feeling that will't be recreated. So for the rest of
- 53:12Speaker 6: your life, remember your friends, your family, the feelings you
- 53:17Speaker 6: had carrying into this, the fun, the joy, the pain, everything,
- 53:26Speaker 6: and hold on to it just for a second. Everybody,
