- 5:36Cowboy on YouTube says hail the gods and hello from Wyoming.
- 5:39Dang, all the way out there in beyond America's heartland, man,
- 5:43you're in, you're in, as they say, God's country or the gods
- 5:46country. All right, so now that all that,
- 5:49that housekeeping stuff is out of the way, I have two guests,
- 5:52two guests lined up for us here today, 2 very esteemed men in
- 5:55the community respectively. So welcome to the show.
- 5:59We've got, we've got Blake Russell here of Scalded Works
- 6:05returning to the show just just after a recent appearance here
- 6:09on the show. So welcome to the show here,
- 6:12Blake. Hey.
- 6:13Welcome. Can you hear me?
- 6:15Yep, can hear you nice and nod and clear.
- 6:17And then we also have Patrick Walsh, who is in the the
- 6:23Highland Spiritual Group community over there on Facebook
- 6:27and a good friend and brother of mine.
- 6:28So hail and welcome to the show guys.
- 6:30Hail Patrick. Thanks for joining.
- 6:34You might have to unmute yourself there, Patrick.
- 6:36I think I may have or I can ask you to unmute because there we
- 6:41go. Try that now there.
- 6:43We go. There you are.
- 6:44Perfect. Awesome.
- 6:46All right, guys, how's everybody doing tonight?
- 6:51Good. Not too shabby, thanks for
- 6:54asking. That's great.
- 6:56I'm doing well too. And I'm also I'm I'm glad to
- 6:59have you guys here. Let me get some things set up
- 7:02here that I need to get set up. So Blake, you didn't you, you
- 7:08didn't know this, but obviously here Patrick is.
- 7:14And but but you had asked to come back on the show here to
- 7:20kind of kind of do a recap of some of the things that we may
- 7:24have not gotten a a chance to to touch on last, last show.
- 7:30And there's Josh W from the the the the Norse fox creation says
- 7:35hello from North Carolina. Hail to you and welcome to the
- 7:39show. Josh W thanks for being here.
- 7:44So yeah, anyways, I'm going to do my best to keep up with the
- 7:47comments, but Blake, if you want to kind of give us a little bit
- 7:50of a, a recap of of what we were talking about last time, Sir.
- 7:55Yeah, I believe we were talking, I believe we were talking about
- 7:59the troubles of the of explaining our terms to other.
- 8:06People who are. In the esoterical or Pagan field
- 8:10that are not even or Norse Pagan or Astra true.
- 8:15Yeah, so we were talking like, you know, using terms like weird
- 8:19or like phrase or philia or some of these other like terms that
- 8:25are very native or log weird, right, native, native terms.
- 8:29But to heathenry that when you start throwing them around to
- 8:32other people who are not heathen, that kind of
- 8:36communication barrier can can make it kind of challenging,
- 8:40right. Hello there, Luna.
- 8:42Hail to you, Patrick, you I don't know if you heard or
- 8:46listen or or watch that last episode with with Blake and I,
- 8:49but that's kind of what we were talking about.
- 8:50You know, 'cause he he ran into some kind of like situations or
- 8:54scenarios where, you know, he's used to using certain terms.
- 8:59Like we were just talking about things that are pretty native to
- 9:01heathen conversations, weird or log Filia, you know, some of
- 9:08these other terms and stuff. Have you ever had those types of
- 9:12experiences yourself, Patrick, where you know, you knew what
- 9:15you were talking about, but the people around you were kind of
- 9:17like, say that again, can you dumb it down for me or can you
- 9:20explain it or have you anything like that happen in your
- 9:25interactions with people? Yes, absolutely.
- 9:29I keep hearing echo. Is that showing up in the live
- 9:32here? No, not on our end.
- 9:36Awesome, happened here. So anyways, yes, absolutely yes,
- 9:39I have encountered that, especially with sharing my path,
- 9:43my passions and my interest, especially Highline.
- 9:47That's definitely more alone. How have you have you been able
- 9:53to, to kind of help bridge the gap with people, you know, So,
- 9:56you know, giving people like a word and then they do, I've
- 9:59never heard that word before. How do you explain it?
- 10:01And how does that help? How How can you help give people
- 10:05like a sense of belonging to a conversation when at times it's
- 10:09it may be seeming like we're talking over their heads or
- 10:12talking outside of their understanding of things?
- 10:15I do my best to explain it in layman's terms and a way in the
- 10:19context that it can understand and appreciate it.
- 10:23Now, a bulk of those people will hear you, but then just kind of
- 10:29look at the back of their head, whereas other people keep asking
- 10:33questions and endeavor further into that interest.
- 10:38So it's really just a process, you know, explain yourself the
- 10:41best that you can and then follow up with those who are
- 10:45interested and dive deeper into the set of topics.
- 10:52I I found the second as well, like of the latter part always
- 10:57seems to be the be the case over where I'm at.
- 11:01I've always found people just absolutely just interested in
- 11:04what, what I have to say and, and they ask me questions about
- 11:10it and they're always, they're always like, they're like
- 11:13children almost like when you tell them stories that that wide
- 11:16eye of wonderment kind of look to their face.
- 11:21Yeah. What about?
- 11:24Yeah, go ahead. No, go ahead.
- 11:28No, I was to say like, what, what, what, what about when
- 11:32maybe the term that you're using, they have their own idea
- 11:35of it. And sometimes that idea of what
- 11:38you're saying is off, you know, like the first thing I think of
- 11:41is, is how often sometimes we hear like the word weird get
- 11:46compared to fate, you know, 'cause it's, it's, it's probably
- 11:51the closest thing that, that most people that aren't heathen
- 11:54would find a relation with. But it's not exactly the same as
- 11:58as the concept of fate. It's a bit deeper than that, you
- 12:01know what I mean? Yeah.
- 12:04So yeah, I, I do run into that problem sometimes, but I do have
- 12:10to sometimes we'll have to throw out that word fate to give an
- 12:15example. But I do also say it's like
- 12:19fate, but it's a whole lot more. It's also encompasses your own
- 12:25choices that you have. And like I described it last
- 12:31time, I see it as a like a Rd. filled with like obstacles and
- 12:36crossroads and everything and the road.
- 12:39You can't control where it leads to, you can't control what the
- 12:42obstacles are, you can't control what the crossroads look like.
- 12:47But you could choose which direction you go on the
- 12:49crossroads or how to deal with the obstacle itself.
- 12:57Right. So that's not, it's not that the
- 12:58fate is, is like set in stone that you're just, oh, it's just
- 13:02I'm, I'm fated to suck at life. You know, it's well, there's a
- 13:05choice to be made here and where where fate kind of intervened
- 13:10or, or, or made things happen or, or landed at a certain point
- 13:13that you still have the, the, the, the, the weaving of of that
- 13:17to, to, to take place. You know, like you still have to
- 13:20be present with that. Yeah, yeah.
- 13:22Fate is like the external factors that have take place.
- 13:25Well, the the choices you make or your own personal, you know,
- 13:31it's your own personal stuff. It's like that's like you
- 13:37control, you can control. Oh, we lost you there for a
- 13:46second, Blake. Oh, there we go.
- 13:49Try that. OK, Try starting over again
- 13:51there. OK, I was.
- 13:52I was saying that. What fate is, is basically the
- 14:00external factors that we can't control, and weird encompasses
- 14:07both that and the choices that we make and how we react to
- 14:10those to fade itself in a way. And I can't hear what you're
- 14:23saying. Yeah, I hit a button that didn't
- 14:25touch This, this this new setup, guys learning curves, right?
- 14:28You're seeing it live, really happening.
- 14:30It's it's I'm not, I'm not pantomiming.
- 14:32I'm not asking you to read my lips.
- 14:34This is not part of the live experience.
- 14:38But what is part of the live experience is like when you hit
- 14:41a button and it doesn't quite, it doesn't quite do the thing.
- 14:45You don't, you don't hit the spot.
- 14:46So you got, you got, you got to, you got to finagle it a little
- 14:49bit, you know, sometimes hitting the spot, sometimes you got to
- 14:51go back to it. That's what she said.
- 14:54But anyway, see that's. What?
- 14:57That's what Control alt delete is for.
- 15:00That's what that's why we have post edit guys.
- 15:03No, this is a live show. So you get to see it all
- 15:06happening in real life. And then you know, if you missed
- 15:07the live show, you can go back and watch it on my Patreon for
- 15:11just a dollar a month and you get to to rewatch it and laugh
- 15:14it all over again. So Patrick with with weird and,
- 15:20and the concept of, you know, it, it being kind of like fate,
- 15:22but also that you're not just fated to have whatever was dealt
- 15:27to you. Like you have a you have a, a
- 15:29hand in this, in this, you know, deck that you're dealt in a way.
- 15:34Like you have to play the cards. You can't just hold them and and
- 15:38not do anything with them, you know?
- 15:40Harass the new hand. Or or yeah, I mean, but that's
- 15:43part of it, right? Like you, you know, OK, well,
- 15:45this is AII need a different hand.
- 15:46So you got but you got to do something with you.
- 15:48You can't just be like, well, I hope the hand turns out
- 15:50differently or I'm just stuck with this hand.
- 15:53No, you're not. You can cash, you can change
- 15:54them out, you can cash them and you can do whatever it takes to
- 15:57to, to to make the difference, right?
- 16:01Absolutely and. Yeah, go ahead, man.
- 16:08It it really hits on a deep level too, because a lot of
- 16:12things happen to us outside and inside our control.
- 16:18And now ultimately the die is cast.
- 16:21What is happening is happening. But again, what matters most in
- 16:26my opinion, is how we choose to approach it.
- 16:29And this is a lifelong practice. This is something that's not
- 16:33done in a matter of hours, days, or even weeks or months.
- 16:37It's a lifelong journey of path. And there's going to be plenty
- 16:41of times that we take three steps back and five steps
- 16:45backward. And that serves as the purpose
- 16:48is to know, you know, yes, things are happening the way
- 16:51they are. And sometimes we need practice.
- 16:55We need more hardships or setbacks to really humble us and
- 17:00really put us in a position that we may not feel very comfortable
- 17:04being in, but ultimately it's serving a purpose.
- 17:10That's a keen observation. You know, kind of have, like
- 17:13Luna says, like there's a control, you know, we can't
- 17:16control what happened at the beginning of things.
- 17:18And then we also have can't we? We can't control where the
- 17:22ending of things land, but we have the in between the, the
- 17:27present, everything that's happening.
- 17:28So we we control how we get from point A to Point C or what
- 17:33happens along the way. You know, the beginning and the
- 17:36end are set, but what happens in the middle is up to us real
- 17:42quick. Rebecca is just chiming in says
- 17:44where is everybody from? We got a Washington State viewer
- 17:49to from Rebecca Ferris over here on Facebook watching.
- 17:52So Rebecca, I'm in Middle Tennessee.
- 17:55Blake. I am from Athens, AL in central
- 17:59and central North Alabama. St.
- 18:05Louis, MO's the best reference I can give.
- 18:07I'm literally about 30 miles north of Saint Louis.
- 18:11Yeah, Patrick's in. Missouri, I'm from, I'm from,
- 18:13I'm from near Huntsville, AL Basically, it's the Silicon
- 18:17Valley of the South, actually. Oh, man, look at you, Silicon
- 18:21Valley of the South. OK, well, Patrick, Patrick could
- 18:23tell you where he's from, but he's from Missouri, so he
- 18:26literally would have to show you, 'cause that's the Show Me
- 18:30state, right? Right, Patrick?
- 18:32You got it right. We got whispers from Midgard,
- 18:36says Hailer. ACR got the docker everyone good
- 18:40day to you too. Whispers from Midgard.
- 18:42Thank you for tuning in and watching Josh W sorry there.
- 18:46Josh W we got here is in North Carolina.
- 18:49Josh West and his his partner Tanya.
- 18:53They will be at the Viking experience coming up and I think
- 18:56it's March just just a couple of months away.
- 19:00So if you look at the Viking experience out there in North
- 19:02Carolina, you can check out all what's going on out there.
- 19:06And Josh W will be out there with his business, him and his
- 19:09partner's business, the the Norse fox creations.
- 19:14That's OK Luna, we understood we got you punctuations.
- 19:19She said she forgot, she forgot a she forgot a punctuation.
- 19:23Oh, parentheseses. We're we're not going to, we're
- 19:25not going to Ding you for that one, Luna, It's OK.
- 19:27We're not the very least. Yeah, I, I, I, I, I was talking
- 19:31on mute before. So I think we everybody gets a
- 19:33pass. And Luna is a very great friend
- 19:36of mine too, just the FYI, very fundamental part of my group.
- 19:40A great friend and just want to thank you Luna for being here.
- 19:44Appreciate you. Yeah, thanks, Luna, who's from
- 19:46Michigan, and yeah, she's very, very present and welcoming new
- 19:49members to your Highland group there.
- 19:51Patrick, Michael Thacker's in the mountains of Kentucky.
- 19:57Very nice. Little bit, little bit of
- 20:00everything. Little people from all over the
- 20:02place. Rebecca says.
- 20:05Rebecca has a question. Sorry, what do you do and how do
- 20:10you respond when Christians approach you?
- 20:15And oh, there you go, Patrick. We got you back here, buddy.
- 20:22So anyways, Rebecca was asking what do you do or how do you
- 20:25respond when Christians approach you and want to pray over you?
- 20:30I have them knocking on my door all the time and it is so
- 20:34aggravating and I don't know or I don't want to be rude or
- 20:38anything. Blake, do you want to you want
- 20:43to take you want to answer in your own way?
- 20:45I'm sure that between the three of us, we'll have similar, maybe
- 20:48different answers. So well.
- 20:50I can't hear. Can you hear us, Patrick?
- 20:54I hear you. I just can't hear Jesse.
- 20:58Oh. What about now?
- 21:02Can you hear him? Yeah, we can hear you.
- 21:04I can hear. You.
- 21:04I can hear you. OK.
- 21:06Can you hear him, Jesse though you?
- 21:08Can just watch. I can hear you too, Patrick.
- 21:11Tell him I can hear him. He can hear you.
- 21:16I can't hear him damn it all. Tell him to try to rejoin.
- 21:21Tell him to try to to. Try to try to rejoin.
- 21:24Yeah, I will. I'll be right back, guys.
- 21:26All right. Let me just do this.
- 21:36Go ahead, Blake. All right, well, it depends on
- 21:40how I use a common joke. If somebody says have you found
- 21:45Jesus kind of moment. I always I always do this.
- 21:49No. Why don't you come in and help?
- 21:50Come in and help me look for him.
- 21:52Is he lost? Yeah.
- 22:00But usually somebody asks me to pray over them.
- 22:02I'll be like, yeah, sure, you can pray if you want to, but as
- 22:07long as I can do my thing with you.
- 22:12Right. Fair.
- 22:13Yeah, it's a compromise. Yeah, I mean, that's, that's one
- 22:18way of looking at it for sure. I'm I'm the type of person who
- 22:22if, if anybody, I don't care what their religion is, if they
- 22:26want to pray over me. I am the type of person who, if
- 22:33I believe in my gods and my goddesses and my veytir, my
- 22:36whites, my spirits, my ancestors, if I believe in all
- 22:39these forces that exist in the seen and unseen, then I would be
- 22:47remiss if I discounted or discredited the existence of one
- 22:51other deity or being. So if, if, if you're, if you're
- 22:54a Christian that approaches me and wants to quote UN quote,
- 22:57pray over me, then by all means, I'll, I'll, I'll gladly accept
- 23:03all of the blessings that are that are out there from, from
- 23:06any deity that wishes to be engaged.
- 23:09Now do I do I believe that your Christian God will do anything
- 23:16for me? Probably not just because we are
- 23:19opposed to one another in our you know what I'm saying Like
- 23:23everything as as a former Christian myself, you know
- 23:25anything, everything from the Christian doctrine abhors pagans
- 23:29and heathens. It's it's oil and water.
- 23:32So I. Think the effort on that though.
- 23:34I think that that the Christian God would actually still bless
- 23:39us regardless. OK.
- 23:43Yeah. I will.
- 23:44It's like just like how our gods will bless the the Christians
- 23:48regardless. OK, Patrick, what about you?
- 23:55I kind of agree with that, Blake.
- 23:58It's tough. Jesse, you've heard me talk
- 24:03about this several times is intentions.
- 24:07Like there is times I was about to have a surgery and I was a
- 24:10Pagan and so I'm Pagan obviously, but I asked for
- 24:14prayers on my own personal page and people outside my faith
- 24:20offer their prayers and I accepted it.
- 24:24It's just, I think like that energy and that love transcends
- 24:30any practice or faith. It's just who you are as a whole
- 24:35and what you offer, what you stand for.
- 24:40OK, that sounds almost like you know, what's the whispers from
- 24:44Midgard says. You know, I let them pray.
- 24:47I'll even bow my head with them be engaged in the moment with
- 24:50them. You know, show so show some, I
- 24:53guess, respect, reverence. I mean we are we are talking
- 24:55about our dealings with the divine, our interactions with
- 24:58the holy, what with that perception, with that, you know
- 25:01how that manifests itself to different people.
- 25:05There is AI think a a due amount of of benevolence and reverence
- 25:09that to be given to the holy in whatever form it takes, and I, I
- 25:13I'm not I'm not ashamed to to to do that either.
- 25:17Yeah, go. Ahead my My challenge is though,
- 25:19is the opposite when Christians ask me to pray.
- 25:25For them or just like. Like in the context say like my
- 25:31my family's Christian, of course.
- 25:32And sometimes I always dread getting asked to lead the prayer
- 25:37for over the say the blessing over the meal because I'm
- 25:42tempted to give the heathen blessing over the meal and not a
- 25:47not a Christian blessing over the meal.
- 25:52Has that ever happened for you? How like have you been out of
- 25:54family get together and they ask you to pray and you and you
- 25:57don't give a Christian blessing of the meal or or has that ever
- 26:01happened? It's been a long time since I
- 26:03was asked, but I've always, I've always politely denied because I
- 26:08was like, you do not want me to do that.
- 26:10Yeah, right. I mean, I'll, I'll do it, but
- 26:13it's going to be done my way. And you might not, you know.
- 26:16Yeah. I don't want, yeah, sorry, go
- 26:19ahead. I don't want disrespect anybody
- 26:23in their own house though. Right.
- 26:28So my question would be, again, I'm I don't know you on a
- 26:31personal level at all, but hypothetically, how do you think
- 26:36they would handle offering your intentions and your own blessing
- 26:41that you see fit? Rephrase that, will you?
- 26:47Sorry so. You're fine.
- 26:49So basically hypothetically, if you're given the opportunity to
- 26:53give your own heathen and take. I think he froze.
- 27:01Oh. I think what he was, I guess
- 27:05everything like with what Patrick was saying is like, you
- 27:07know, our intentions or the intentions behind was being
- 27:11said. Let's give him a chance to try
- 27:12and and rejoin. And in the meantime, I'll catch
- 27:14up. On some comments.
- 27:18So Luna said you're welcome. Yeah, The Viking Experience is
- 27:24March 21st, 22nd, 21st through the 22nd and the 28th through
- 27:30the 29th. So it's two weekends, so you
- 27:33guys can just find it online. Just look up the the Viking
- 27:36experience in North Carolina and you'll find details about that.
- 27:43Ha, ha. Can you hear me now?
- 27:46Yeah. We're having, you know, this is
- 27:47this kind of just, I guess, you know, part of the part of the
- 27:49experience nowadays with, with remote screen experiences, you
- 27:53know, sometimes people. I want to move him off here just
- 27:57till we get him back. Cowboy from Midgard says I
- 28:01always tell them in the nicest way to oh, sorry.
- 28:06Cowboy on YouTube says I always tell them in the nicest way to
- 28:09go away. Yeah.
- 28:10So I mean, sometimes people, everybody's different.
- 28:12You know, you're going to get different responses from
- 28:14different people. Sometimes people just don't feel
- 28:16comfortable with having another faith or, or belief or anything
- 28:23pushed upon them. So praying over somebody or
- 28:25praying on somebody might seem a bit pushy and that makes people
- 28:28feel uncomfortable. So respect that, you know, and,
- 28:31and Rebecca, to answer your question, you know, how we
- 28:33respond and how we deal with things with people is, is, is
- 28:36what's worked for us. You know, maybe it's it's
- 28:39something that you're having to find a way to to deal with
- 28:41yourself, But definitely, you know, don't necessarily take our
- 28:46word for for it, right? I mean, find what's if, if, if
- 28:49it if it makes you uncomfortable, then just be kind
- 28:52and upfront and say, Hey, I appreciate the thought, but I
- 28:55would rather you not or, or something along those lines.
- 28:57You don't have to be ugly about it.
- 29:00Voodoo Vikings says I just tell people that Jesus makes great
- 29:03tacos over at the taqueria. Jesus.
- 29:07Jesus. Yours too, huh?
- 29:12Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:14Well, it depends. Also, he also made some great
- 29:16churros too. Oh.
- 29:18Man, some, some. Hey, you can't.
- 29:20You can't knock a good mole, let me tell you.
- 29:23I think he also makes good lasagna over over at the Greek
- 29:27plate, or that's Italian. Close, but I mean, they're
- 29:31neighbors, you know? Yeah, I don't know of a Greek
- 29:34lasagna, but. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:37Where are they? Where are they?
- 29:38Agree. I don't know of much Greek
- 29:39dishes. So, so Rebecca was raised
- 29:44Jehovah's Witness. That's a, that's a, that's a
- 29:46wild sect of Christianity left when they were 14.
- 29:52So it's been hard to listen to all the Christian teachings at
- 29:55all. I listen to them and, and all,
- 29:57but when I ask them questions, they answer my questions with a
- 30:01question. I know exactly how that is.
- 30:04I was raised in a very cult, cult like Christian themed
- 30:11environment growing up. I know what that's like to be
- 30:14faced with. If you, you know when things are
- 30:16questioned, to be answer a question with a question.
- 30:20It's it's super frustrating to share a story similar with
- 30:26Rebecca, says Michael Thacker. He was at a he was at a store
- 30:31lately and a guy wanted to give me a Bible.
- 30:36He declined. And he asked if I didn't believe
- 30:38in Jesus and then started preaching out of text.
- 30:46Yeah. Oh, here he comes.
- 30:47Here. Jesus Christ.
- 30:48God damn. Hey now, we've been talking
- 30:52about Christianity. You always over here invoking
- 30:54invoking their their their main guy.
- 30:58Look at me. By Odin's beard, by by Loki's
- 31:01tanked or something, you know? What?
- 31:04Who should not be named? Yes.
- 31:06Who shall not be named Voldemort?
- 31:08Yeah, Harry. Potter just now.
- 31:11So yeah, I know you're on that kick, Yeah.
- 31:15Anyways, Blake, to go back to what I was asking you, how do
- 31:21you think your, your people and your family would handle you do
- 31:27your own opening prayer for a meal or anything like that based
- 31:32on your intentions? Well, I I really honestly don't
- 31:37know that because I had never attempted that.
- 31:40I've always declined, as I previously said, that I don't
- 31:45want to disrespect anybody out of their own home either.
- 31:49So that's the reason why I don't do that.
- 31:53My, my family knows about my, my heathen ways right now, all
- 31:58except for my one of my grandmothers who I don't think
- 32:01she knows, but she might. Who knows?
- 32:05Because a lot of my aunt, I think I have an aunt or uncle or
- 32:10cousins that follow me over on Facebook.
- 32:13So they know. And I think my birth mother
- 32:16knows somehow. But even though I don't talk to
- 32:19her as much but that's all I can speculate right now.
- 32:25But my my dad, my mom, and my grandmother on my mom's side all
- 32:29know that I am Pagan. And my grandpa, my grandmother,
- 32:35my grandmother who knows that I'm Pagan, knows it in the I
- 32:38told her in the most despicable way I could out of anger.
- 32:44I I did in response to something and I regret that, but it's
- 32:49done. Yeah.
- 32:52And but they support me no matter what, so I'm blessed in
- 32:55that much. And thank you for answering
- 32:58that. It's.
- 33:01I've had experiences too, with my, with my own, you know, blood
- 33:05family in the past. You know, I, I've learned a lot
- 33:10since since I did this. What I'm talking about, what I'm
- 33:12about what I'm about to tell you right now.
- 33:13But you know, my parents knew that I was heathen years ago
- 33:18because they asked me and I couldn't lie to them.
- 33:20And I said, no, I don't, you know, believe the way that you
- 33:23brought me up. I found something else.
- 33:25And when they, they, they probe and they ask, I had to tell
- 33:27them, you know, well, that obviously was, was met.
- 33:32I shouldn't say obviously, because not all situations are
- 33:35the same. But my parents did not respond
- 33:40with an accepting way about it. So when I go and visit them, you
- 33:45know, thereafter I'm like, well, at least I don't have to hide it
- 33:49anymore. And I would wear shirts that
- 33:51said heathen on it. I carried my hammer outside of
- 33:54my garments and I was very I wasn't shy about what I believed
- 34:01in in their very home. And I, you know, later on it was
- 34:08like, you know, how rude, like how disrespectful of you to, you
- 34:13know, So what you believe, what you believe, don't bring that
- 34:15into our house and flaunt it is what it felt like to them.
- 34:18And I got it. You know, I had to like, examine
- 34:21the situation. I got to go.
- 34:22Yeah, man. You know, that would be like,
- 34:24you know, if I invite people who are not heathen over to my house
- 34:27and they come in, you know, you know, quoting Bible verses and,
- 34:31and, and openly displaying their Christianity, it's like, I don't
- 34:35care that that's what you want to believe in.
- 34:36That's what you find, you know, a resolve or or you're you know,
- 34:40you feel comfortable with, but you know you don't have to come
- 34:42in my house and and and be all flaunty about it.
- 34:45And you know I. I I don't mind.
- 34:48To me, I don't mind them when they come in if they do mind,
- 34:51because I try to lead by example to them that I'm accepting of
- 34:55theirs in my own home and that but I don't, but I still respect
- 35:01their home enough. And I I had to have stopped
- 35:05wearing my shirt that says heat. And I think, I believe that it's
- 35:07the same shirt that you have. It was a grim Frost shirt.
- 35:12Yep, grim frost. Yep.
- 35:14Does your Does yours come with the holes as well?
- 35:19Well, mine was a no. I I mean, except for my neck and
- 35:22my two arms and where I put my body through like it came with.
- 35:25Yeah, but besides that, no. I mean, I've, I've somehow, I've
- 35:29got holes in mine in in the front somehow, but oh.
- 35:33Dang. But I do wear my millionaire out
- 35:35in public around them. But it's not a big millionaire
- 35:38anymore, it's a small millionaire.
- 35:41Yeah, well, in public is one thing.
- 35:43You know what I mean? Like I, you know, not
- 35:46everybody's the same and not every situation's the same, but
- 35:48I, I wouldn't go back. Like both of my parents are,
- 35:51are, are past now, but my sister lives in their, in their home.
- 35:54And I wouldn't, I wouldn't return to that place and I
- 35:57wouldn't go back with, you know, my hammer hanging out and a big,
- 36:00you know, heathen shirt that says, you know, till Valhalla or
- 36:03anything like that. Like I wouldn't do that anymore.
- 36:05And and I I shouldn't have done that to begin with.
- 36:07It was neither, neither me like near me, neither me either.
- 36:11I may wear some of the band shirts and stuff because they
- 36:13probably don't know what they are, but I still do.
- 36:17Again, I do wear my millionaire to my grandmother's house.
- 36:21I go there to my mom's house, but it's a small one.
- 36:26It's a tiny one. It's very hard to see see if you
- 36:28can't if you don't get up on close to it.
- 36:31And that's why I've always I've, I've actually downsized that for
- 36:38a reason, because I didn't want to just be that ostentatious
- 36:43about it with those big, big millionaires everybody has.
- 36:47Oh yeah. Any feathers or anything like
- 36:48that? Yeah, yeah.
- 36:51With my family, I feel very grateful and often don't mind me
- 36:54sharing. This, but yeah, please go ahead.
- 36:58Going back to when I first felt start following high lung is my
- 37:03parents beautifully enough were very very supportive of what I
- 37:09was doing and they knew full well that I was on my own
- 37:12practice, on my own path. They didn't ask questions and I
- 37:17respect that cause a lot of it would go over their head.
- 37:20But even still they know I was battering myself meeting great
- 37:26people and continue to do so every day.
- 37:28But funny story here is when I got back home from my first
- 37:33Heinlein ritual back in 2020, I changed my profile picture and I
- 37:39had my whole high lung gear on. I had my face pain.
- 37:44And then one of my uncles, one of those newborn Christian
- 37:47types, you know, if you know, and he left the comet, he's like
- 37:53Patrick, you need to come to Jesus.
- 37:55He's this all these, you know, attack on me.
- 37:59And I told my dad about this. He's like, that's messed up.
- 38:03I'm like, wow, my dad hardcore, the Roman Catholic.
- 38:07It's like, yeah, that's messed up.
- 38:11It's just like he he's just so my my parents.
- 38:16I love them very much for very several reasons.
- 38:20But just to have them again, they don't follow my path.
- 38:25That they respect it. Do they wish to know more?
- 38:27No. Yeah.
- 38:28But if on the off chance they do, I'd be more than happy to
- 38:31share what I have to share. But even still, it's that
- 38:34coexistence and that understanding, that unspoken
- 38:38rule of like, hey, if it doesn't harm the cows.
- 38:44Well, I mean, and, and to that point, you know, I would say
- 38:46like my, my inlaws are, are definitely not heathen.
- 38:49They don't know the first thing about it.
- 38:51They're, they're very, you know, they're, they're the boomer
- 38:53generation. They, they are, they're very,
- 38:55you know, conservative Christian types.
- 38:58But you see over here above, right up here, this, this the
- 39:02Midgard musings plaque right over here, right over my
- 39:06shoulder. It's, it's got, it's got matches
- 39:09that are burnt into the bind rune of, of, of Midgard musings,
- 39:12the double mono's bind rooms. You know, these are matches that
- 39:16were burned and glued to a plaque that were made by my
- 39:19father-in-law, who is a, again, boomer generation, conservative
- 39:23Christian type, doesn't know the first thing about what I do, but
- 39:26respects what I do and knows what something like that would
- 39:29mean to me. And he made that for me out of
- 39:32his own. You know, he took the time, he,
- 39:35he got the materials, he and he made that for me.
- 39:38And he's got something else that's that's further up out of
- 39:40frame. That's a Mjolnir done the same
- 39:42way burned matches. Patrick, you've seen it.
- 39:45Because. You've been here, you know what
- 39:47I'm talking about. I couldn't show.
- 39:48I could have to show my expression when you said that
- 39:51because I have mercy of that. It's very beautiful.
- 39:55And it's from a family member who's not heathen but who
- 39:57respects and doesn't infiltrate or try to sway, persuade me or
- 40:01sway me in anyone direction. I am very fortunate to have my
- 40:05have my mom, my adopted mom, because she, she isn't heathen
- 40:12either, but she very, very much, I mean, she's very much
- 40:16Christian, but she is very, very asking you questions about my
- 40:22belief system. And so far my answers have
- 40:26gotten a lot better over the years, you know, explaining it
- 40:30and explaining the animistic side of things.
- 40:34And she is like just blown away by how clear things are to her
- 40:40and it makes sense to her the what I believe in but she still
- 40:44does says she doesn't accept it completely but she does.
- 40:49She will accept the fact that this makes sense.
- 40:54And that's so damn beautiful. And again, I hope that I'm
- 40:57interjecting here, but just like what people outside of our faith
- 41:02and practice really see the harsh realities to a lot of
- 41:06other people. It's not devil worshipping.
- 41:10We don't acknowledge that figure, that archetype, that
- 41:14that person. Right.
- 41:16It's well there. There's not a singular, there's
- 41:18not a singular devil. Devil in the Bible mentioned,
- 41:21anyway. No, it's not, but a lot of
- 41:24people do see it like you can't believe in God without the devil
- 41:28and so on and so forth. I'm like it's very polarizing,
- 41:31but I'm not going to dive into that semantics there.
- 41:34But all the same though, just that awareness not beatable
- 41:38experience. Be a family friend, Co worker,
- 41:43those rare few who are like. I don't completely understand
- 41:48what you're saying but I know it's not as dark and abysmal as
- 41:53many people and their former self had a portrayed and it's a
- 41:58very beautiful experience. Got another former Catholic
- 42:03Whispers from Midgard. They said they were raised
- 42:05around Catholics or I get, sorry, not maybe, maybe not a
- 42:08former Catholic. I, I, I, I misrepresented there.
- 42:12They were raised around Catholics, but was encouraged to
- 42:14find your own path. Their grandma had them read some
- 42:18Bible verses, but she was OK if it didn't stick.
- 42:24So that's, you know, that's giving the, the, the person a
- 42:26chance to be educated about something, but to find their own
- 42:29way. And we got another Sarah O'Brien
- 42:33on YouTube says that they had a Christian friend ask them to
- 42:36pray for her and family last night very recently prayed to
- 42:44air for rain or she prayed for, to air for rain for them.
- 42:51And she just appreciated the prayer.
- 42:53So, you know, they grew up Christian and they know to just
- 42:58let them pray and, and bow, you know, like show that respect.
- 43:02I think that's, you know, it's a beautiful thing when, when, when
- 43:052 differing beliefs can, can be be civil towards one another.
- 43:12And, and you know, like, yeah, I'm not trying to convert you
- 43:14or, or, or switch your mind or change your mind.
- 43:16But, you know, let's, let's, let's both consult our, our
- 43:19divine, you know, figures. Let's both consult our sacred
- 43:23beings and and you know, I don't say channel that energy, but you
- 43:28know, it's all from from the same source.
- 43:32You know what, what name you want to put to it.
- 43:34It's all coming from the same source.
- 43:37I think. You know, Yeah.
- 43:39You go back far enough, it all originates from the same place.
- 43:43And coming from sorry, go ahead, Blake, go ahead.
- 43:46I was I was saying that most religions are are formed from
- 43:52the climate that they are in. Oh, for sure, yeah.
- 43:55Your environment absolutely informs your worldview.
- 43:58Absolutely. That's how that's how like Odin
- 44:00had been had absurd tier as the chief deity.
- 44:04There was a a need, a greater need for him to be that be that
- 44:09chief deity up in the north compared to mainland Europe.
- 44:16That's an interesting take on it for sure.
- 44:18You know, Crystal Dawn on Facebook says it helps not
- 44:23having local friends. So no one really has any
- 44:26problems. I guess that's one way of
- 44:27looking at, you know, you don't have people that getting
- 44:30offended by then you ain't got to worry about it.
- 44:33And. I was going to say, being part
- 44:36of the High Lung tribe and following them and being among
- 44:41many great people, you know, something I respect immensely
- 44:45about the opening ceremony to their rituals is, you know,
- 44:51remember that we all are brothers, all people and beasts
- 44:57and trees and stone and wind. And those words resonate very
- 45:02deeply with the me and many other people because a lot of
- 45:07people come from different backgrounds, celebrate different
- 45:10Sabbaths, holidays, holy tides, and collectively we're honoring
- 45:16the sacred we all come from the one great being that was always
- 45:22there before people lived and named it.
- 45:26And that really, again, it hits on a very deep root up this
- 45:31great tree. And those roots may spread out
- 45:36in various different ways, but all the same, we come to that
- 45:40great tree, that great understand, that great life
- 45:44experience that we're all trying to endeavor to understand,
- 45:48learn, and grow from. Yeah, yeah.
- 45:53It's a beautiful example that we see here.
- 45:55Sorry, sorry, Blake, I'll let you get in just a second.
- 45:57I just want to acknowledge there's there's there's some
- 45:59dialogue going back and forth between we got Sarah O'Brien on
- 46:02YouTube and Whispers from Midgard.
- 46:06You know, there was a typo made, you know, where, where Sarah
- 46:09said they prayed to air for rain.
- 46:10There was a typo. And she's oh, excuse me, I'm not
- 46:12a very good typist, but there's still this sentiment, there's
- 46:14this shared, you know, kindness in the comments here between
- 46:19these two folks, you know, saying, Hey, you know, I hope
- 46:21the people that are that are ill feel better, you know, sorry for
- 46:25this hardship. You know, and there's this,
- 46:26there's such kindness being shown in the comments, guys and
- 46:29gals. So thank you for being kind to
- 46:31one another and for not, you know, raising a fuss over a
- 46:34typo. Why'd you pray to air for rain?
- 46:36She's the physician of the gods. Why would you do that?
- 46:38Blah, blah, blah, right. No, no need for that.
- 46:40And you guys are doing great by by being so kind.
- 46:44So I do just want to, you know, kind of just give a, a
- 46:47acknowledgement of thanks to to whispers from Midgard and Sarah
- 46:51for, for, for showing their kindness in the comments.
- 46:53So good, good, good on you there.
- 46:55Thanks for bringing that to our attention too.
- 46:57That's that's early. Nice to see these comments
- 46:59because I can't see them. But yeah, having that.
- 47:02Yeah, they're just flashing up. They're just like flashing where
- 47:04I see. Yeah, yeah.
- 47:06You know, and I don't want to ignore people because it's, you
- 47:09know, they may be on a device and stuff, but I'm, you know,
- 47:12like a phone, like a lot of you guys are.
- 47:14So maybe you don't see it, but I do want to acknowledge it.
- 47:16We do have a lot of comments that are coming up.
- 47:18So in between our conversation, I'm trying to moderate as best I
- 47:20can. Thank you, Randy.
- 47:22It is a nice plaque, Blake. I'm not sure if I took you 2 off
- 47:25track there with your next thought.
- 47:27Did you have something you were going to?
- 47:28Yeah, I. Was going to be I was I was
- 47:30going to say something to Patrick here about Haylong.
- 47:34My mom likes Haylong. Haylong.
- 47:37Does that introduce her to her? She she likes the whole, that
- 47:41whole vibe, that whole mentality that the, the chanting and stuff
- 47:46that she was listening to with me one time going down the car
- 47:48and she said this is actually pretty good that.
- 47:51Bad ass. And speaking and Speaking of hey
- 47:55Long, Yakov Loons, the drummer from How Long, is going to be in
- 48:00Huntsville in May. I'm so jealous and I hope to be
- 48:06there. I got the play for him last
- 48:08year, I got the play just by myself for him last year and
- 48:11that was a lot of pressure for me, but I hope I get to do that
- 48:15again. We're doing the same thing that
- 48:17we did for our All Star event last year.
- 48:19We're doing a like a belting event, been doing the whole
- 48:23drumming weekend thing and that's going to be so awesome.
- 48:26Now I'm going to be I, I get the day off of on the on the ninth
- 48:31for that Friday, that Friday. So I'm doing the whole weekend
- 48:34non-stop. So remind me again, have you
- 48:38been to one of his workshops before?
- 48:41Yes, last year. I'm extremely jazz, Jacob again,
- 48:47stick for a personal hand experience.
- 48:49Yeah, yeah. And not to showboat or brag or
- 48:52anything, but I've got to hang out with Hilo three times and
- 48:57they're very great people. Jacob, especially he They're all
- 49:01very down to earth. Oh yeah, to.
- 49:03Talk to and something. He's a big nerd.
- 49:06He's a big, he's a big music nerd as well.
- 49:08He'll talk about drones with you all day.
- 49:12And I'm actually the works that tried to work out a payment plan
- 49:16of sorts to buy one of his drones.
- 49:18And I just I would love him a little bit more to have one of
- 49:21his works Department of Practice.
- 49:23But again, going back to the highline I Could Talk by, Jesse
- 49:27knows this. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:30Well, the me and him, me and me and Blake here attended our our
- 49:35both of our first high lung rituals at the same time.
- 49:39Like I was my first and it was his first and we were at the
- 49:42same venue. Like we've been talking online
- 49:45back and forth for for how however long.
- 49:47And then the first time he and I met in person was at a high lung
- 49:51ritual at the same high lung. We're both our first time.
- 49:53So we we got our we got our proverbial cherries popped
- 49:56together. Yeah, I wish we we should have
- 49:59planned. I wish we had planned that out
- 50:00where we're just like sitting next to each other.
- 50:02I'll be kind of. I was going to ask that too.
- 50:04Like how far apart were you guys?
- 50:06He was behind me a bit. I was.
- 50:07I was. I mean how?
- 50:08About 3 rows. I like what what 4-5 rows behind
- 50:12you? I think so is this like Aga kind
- 50:15of thing or like what a side seating or what?
- 50:16Because I Jesse, forgive me if I asked you before, but the the.
- 50:21They had, they had a front, they had a front pit and it was like
- 50:24a amphitheater. All for.
- 50:26The rest of it leveled. It wasn't like elevated like a
- 50:28theater. Amphitheater yeah.
- 50:31So like every, every row behind you got higher and higher and
- 50:34higher as you got towards the back.
- 50:37So so I was, I was in the very last row before the pit, before
- 50:43the standing room. So I was as close to the stage
- 50:45as I could get without being in the standing room.
- 50:48And the only reason for that was my wife was there and and she
- 50:52she wanted to be comfortable. So being in the standing room
- 50:55only space which she couldn't sit was, was kind of out of the
- 50:59question. But I mean, I was, I mean, I
- 51:00could I could reach out almost and and touch the stage.
- 51:04I was the the standing room, not a.
- 51:06Bad view in that house. There was not a bad view in that
- 51:09place. No, no, not, not at all.
- 51:11That's special. That's special.
- 51:13And the sound was just amazing. It was like I was right next.
- 51:17I was right over the speaker, the the right speaker and I was
- 51:21feeling every beat of the drums just hitting me like I passed.
- 51:26I'm like, dude, this is awesome. I'm.
- 51:31Going to get. Caught up some little highlight
- 51:33birds here wearing out. Yeah, the shirts I bought when I
- 51:37first hung out them. Take away from.
- 51:41The street too much to talk about high lungs.
- 51:43But you guys both showed up with your high lung gear on?
- 51:46You did no. Show me again.
- 51:47I didn't see it. Show them Blake.
- 51:49This is a tour T-shirt from. Yeah, I got the same.
- 51:52I got the same shirt. Turn around, turn around, show
- 51:55on the back. It's got the oh.
- 51:59Hell yeah. Yeah.
- 52:01That's awesome. I.
- 52:02Think I think the back of my shirt has the tour dates on it.
- 52:05Yeah, same mine. I got that one as well.
- 52:08This is the same one. It has the same emblem on the
- 52:11back of my shirt. I think it does.
- 52:13Yeah. And Jesse and I, we have some
- 52:16special high lung encounters too.
- 52:19One artist part of the band or the tribe.
- 52:24Jesse made a few videos about this artist.
- 52:29And. I have the honor and privilege
- 52:31of undertaking something very special.
- 52:34So after hanging out the high lung, I believe it was my first
- 52:40or second time, but Mira Seti, you know, Jesse made some very
- 52:47awesome videos about a couple of her videos and she really loved
- 52:51it and appreciate it. And I have the honor of passing
- 52:54a message on to Jesse. And I think it was far the
- 53:00mountain, my first experience the there we go there it is.
- 53:09It's just so special. You know, he never got to meet
- 53:12the the person yet. But again, carrying that that
- 53:18journey and that undertaking was very beautiful.
- 53:23And to be in the position to carry on that was just beyond
- 53:26amazing. I wish I would have known.
- 53:29I would have been, I, I wasn't hanging out with the owner of
- 53:32the meter at the time before then, but if I was like I am
- 53:36now, I probably would have got to go gotten to go to the after
- 53:39party because they had it at the metering and I actually get to
- 53:43touch the artwork that Kai did on the wall of the metering in
- 53:47Huntsville. Yeah, Kai painted a whole
- 53:51freaking wall of the metering. Yeah, it's it's.
- 53:54The warriors, the warrior sail. Yeah.
- 53:56And it's very. And I was like, they better
- 54:02frame that or something with they leave if they ever leave
- 54:04that place out of the mill. Wall down and bring it with them
- 54:08or something. Damn, yeah.
- 54:10Well, they almost lost their spot.
- 54:12The meter almost lost their spot last year because they were
- 54:15their production, their. Yeah.
- 54:18Kind of low so they because the elevator situation they're
- 54:22fixing to get that fixed by the way, but they finally because
- 54:26they're me storage area is down below because the floors can't
- 54:32support the way the. That'll do it.
- 54:38All right, let me catch up on some comments.
- 54:39So none of my family's understanding it all of my
- 54:41heathen ways. I'm OK with that, though.
- 54:43Not only think that it sucks is none of them talk to me.
- 54:49This is Rebecca again. So, yeah, it, it's, it's not
- 54:52uncommon for, you know, to have that, that disconnect between
- 54:55family, especially when it comes to beliefs.
- 54:57It's, it's, it's a, it's a tough reality that a lot of us are
- 55:01facing. You know, Crystal Dawn says that
- 55:05they got a Bible from their grandmother every Christmas.
- 55:09And I give it away to people who want that type of thing.
- 55:13You know, I still have my, my great grandmother's Bible.
- 55:17I'll never get rid of that, that, that, that that's still a
- 55:19sacred family heirloom. You know what I mean?
- 55:23I I keep it, you know, I don't. It's, it's it's sacred because
- 55:28it's a family heirloom. My great grandmother was, was 98
- 55:31years old when she passed away and I still remember her.
- 55:35And, you know, so that's, yeah, exactly.
- 55:40It is to you. Yeah.
- 55:42And I heard it that you choose. To give it away to anyone who
- 55:45pursues that faith. I love that respect that you
- 55:48give someone who can appreciate. But all the same though, is me.
- 55:51I'm a sentimental person. Very, very sentimental.
- 55:55If my mom or my dad gives me something Catholic or Christian,
- 56:00I'll keep it very close to my altar.
- 56:02Yeah. It's just, it's I look past the
- 56:06practice, I see them as who they are.
- 56:10They love me, they care of me. It's just like we're going back
- 56:13to talk about prayers. Like I see many of my friends
- 56:17and family who ask for prayers and I do.
- 56:20So I'm like sending healing energy, sending love and light.
- 56:24And it's very loosely translated, but I'll say though
- 56:29we separate and our practice, but we unify and our struggles
- 56:36and our accomplishments. Yeah, I do the same thing as
- 56:40well as with my Reiki as well. I'll send Reiki to people that
- 56:44for that love and light and that energy.
- 56:48Sure. We've got a great question that
- 56:51Michael Thacker posted about 12 minutes ago.
- 56:54So Michael, if you're still watching, sorry that we got to
- 56:56this a little bit late, but he asks, do you guys believe that
- 57:01long distance can affect Frith negatively?
- 57:10May I? Patrick, yeah, you want to go
- 57:12first? Absolutely.
- 57:14In my personal experience, strictly based on that, no
- 57:20'cause Jesse, you don't go with this.
- 57:24Me and you, we live five hours and 30 minutes on a good day
- 57:28apart and we first met. We never met each other.
- 57:35I just saw you on YouTube again. I've told the story numerous
- 57:39times, but I don't get tired of saying it.
- 57:40It's this. I saw you, I experienced you,
- 57:44and then I got to know you. And for the longest time we
- 57:48didn't get to meet in person. But then Gosby praised 2021 or
- 57:532022 arrived and I finally got to see you.
- 57:57And then the next year and then the next year is just.
- 58:02So yeah, again, to answer that, no, I don't believe so.
- 58:05But I could easily see how it could potentially damage.
- 58:10But also it's going back to the engagement with the individual
- 58:16and that could vary wildly. It's just like any relationship,
- 58:20be it spiritual, romantically, professionally, distance could
- 58:25easily very well play a role. But again, going back to the
- 58:29meat potatoes, from what I was trying to say, in my personal
- 58:32experience, no, I don't. And I'm very happy to say that.
- 58:35And you know, to show that. I'm going to bounce off of this
- 58:41one here and say that I I again, as Patrick here said that I
- 58:49don't believe that it does. It doesn't negatively affect
- 58:52Frith as long as you are able to put the work into it as both
- 58:56parties put into the work in that relationship over the
- 58:59distance. That's only when that's when it
- 59:02still remains the strongest. But if no other y'all just say
- 59:05we're going to our separate rate, we're we're going far away
- 59:10and then all of a sudden y'all don't talk to each other as
- 59:13often or don't talk to or speak to each other or write or call
- 59:18at least a few times. You know then that Friv can die.
- 59:26Yeah, I think I would. I would add to what you both
- 59:29have said with with the sentiment that distance is not a
- 59:37thing that can impact Frith just the same as closeness, right?
- 59:46So, so long distance, short distance, you know, the, the,
- 59:49the road between friends is, is frequently walked.
- 59:51You know what I mean? And there's there's something in
- 59:53the hall of mall about this where you know, long is the way
- 59:56and winding is the road. You know, you know, like that
- 1:00:00whole thing. But when it when it comes to
- 1:00:02Frith, right, First of all, it has to be established.
- 1:00:06With, with the understanding of what Frith really is.
- 1:00:11This is a hot topic at least in, in, in the, the local
- 1:00:14communities that I'm connected with.
- 1:00:17There's been stuff I think shared recently online about,
- 1:00:21oh, this is what I think Frith is.
- 1:00:22And I go, listen, Frith is what it is.
- 1:00:26It's not what you think it is. It's not what I think it is.
- 1:00:28It's not what he or she or they think it is.
- 1:00:30It is what it is. Let's stop with this, you know,
- 1:00:34let me, let me come up with my own idea of this.
- 1:00:36No, it is what it is. And what it is is this.
- 1:00:42Yeah, yeah. Understand what what what it
- 1:00:43meant in an, in an arch heathen or an old ways concept, right.
- 1:00:47Frith meant kinship. It meant inviolability, like
- 1:00:51sacred inviolability, reciprocal inviolability.
- 1:00:53I have to protect you because you're my kins person.
- 1:00:56You're my kinsman, my kinswoman. I have to be at your side.
- 1:00:59I have to protect you regardless of whether I like you or not.
- 1:01:03You are my kin and I am oath bound.
- 1:01:06I am, I am Frith bound with you. It it was more about security
- 1:01:10and protection than it was about love and peace and everything
- 1:01:13that people like to try and associate it with nowadays.
- 1:01:16So if the if, if the rudimentary and and by the way, if, if, if
- 1:01:20people are looking for an understanding of what Frith is,
- 1:01:23you have to there's no question. You have to read the culture of
- 1:01:27the tootens by by by by grown Beck Vilhelm Groenbeck, volumes
- 1:01:34one and two. You have to read it.
- 1:01:35It's it's fundamental reading. You have to read it.
- 1:01:38It's free if you if you Google it, there's APDF online.
- 1:01:40You can read it for free. You don't have to buy the
- 1:01:43culture of the Tutens. But if you want to understand
- 1:01:46what Frith is from a from a real Archie, then you know pre
- 1:01:51Christian dramatic person's worldview.
- 1:01:54That's essential reading. It's essential knowledge, but
- 1:01:57anyway, going back to like, it has to be established first and
- 1:02:00foremost. So once it's established, the
- 1:02:02distance doesn't really matter because your, your understanding
- 1:02:08of what Frith means doesn't. And that doesn't make a
- 1:02:12difference about what the distance is.
- 1:02:14You know, I'll make a way, I'll find a way to, to make good on
- 1:02:17my Frith with this person and their Frith with me like and,
- 1:02:20and, and it's reciprocal. You know, it's not a one way St.
- 1:02:25Yeah, it it's understood and it's realized and it's and it's
- 1:02:29a social construct that it that exists between people that are
- 1:02:33existing in a kinship relationship.
- 1:02:37So I don't think that it's yeah, I don't yeah, I don't Yeah,
- 1:02:39that's fine. I don't think that it's really
- 1:02:41distance bound or or not bound. I think that, you know, once
- 1:02:45it's established and it's and truly established that the
- 1:02:48distance doesn't make a negative or or whatever impact.
- 1:02:51So, yeah, go ahead, Patrick. And I want to say it will be
- 1:02:54tested. Sure, yeah.
- 1:02:56Long distance. Or short term, it's always going
- 1:02:59to be tested and what's important is going back to the
- 1:03:03roots and being real with yourself.
- 1:03:06And the other party will last. And those are questions you need
- 1:03:10to ask right away. But consider that like Jesse, in
- 1:03:14a way. Talk to one-on-one here.
- 1:03:17I'm very grateful we've met long distance because I feel like
- 1:03:21that was like the test, so to speak, like really seeing where
- 1:03:26this is going to go. Like we chatted for a little
- 1:03:29bit, became friends on Facebook, and then it just took a life of
- 1:03:33its own. And that's my personal opinion.
- 1:03:36It's the best way it could have gone, you know, from a distance.
- 1:03:39And though we live 5 1/2 hours away from each other distance, a
- 1:03:46lot of times, Jesse speaking one-on-one here again, is it
- 1:03:50feels like you live like 5 minutes away from me.
- 1:03:53A lot of the time. Your spirit is with me.
- 1:03:57And that's something that could be Avon sought after.
- 1:04:00But again, it has to be organic. And you can't chase after it.
- 1:04:05You can't pursue it too hard. It this meant to be?
- 1:04:07It's meant to be. Yeah, you have to nurture it,
- 1:04:10right? Like it like anything.
- 1:04:12Just like any plant or any kind of like relationship really.
- 1:04:15Yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree. So let's see what else we got.
- 1:04:22Speaking of prayers, Rebecca Ferris is following up on
- 1:04:26prayers. Is there any way that I could
- 1:04:28get a prayer for my health? I haven't been feeling very well
- 1:04:33at all. I have vascular issues,
- 1:04:36seizures, and all week my body is just not having it.
- 1:04:41Thank you. If so, otherwise I'm just going
- 1:04:45to sit and listen Rebecca again, this is this is a comment that
- 1:04:50that Rebecca posted a little while ago.
- 1:04:54So I'm, I'm, it's probably about 15 minutes.
- 1:04:56So, Rebecca, if you're still here, thank you for, for this
- 1:05:00comment and thank you for, first of all, you know, kind of being
- 1:05:05vulnerable in, in, in this context, you know, I mean, we're
- 1:05:08here talking, we, we, we, we guys 3 here know each other, but
- 1:05:12we're also streaming live publicly.
- 1:05:14And you know, to come forth and to and to be vulnerable like
- 1:05:17this in this way is, is very courageous, I would say I.
- 1:05:22Respect them, Italy. Yeah.
- 1:05:24So whatever I can offer in, in, in, in, in, in terms of, you
- 1:05:32know, healing and, and comfort for you, for your
- 1:05:36courageousness, I, I would, I would be happy to, to send that.
- 1:05:46I'll light some Paula sounds out for her.
- 1:05:49Thank you, Patrick. And thank her for again, like
- 1:05:54Jessie said, having the courage to be vulnerable, feeling aware
- 1:05:58and feeling and feeling safe to share with us.
- 1:06:02I myself very humbled and very grateful to be part of this
- 1:06:07first live stream for Mick Art Musings, but also this being
- 1:06:11company with Blake, my brother Jesse and all of you guys
- 1:06:16participating. It is great and we've been going
- 1:06:20for an hour or so now. We're going to keep rolling.
- 1:06:22If if either one of you gentlemen need to drop or you
- 1:06:25want to drop it, by all means go right ahead.
- 1:06:29I'm going to keep trucking along here.
- 1:06:30We got a few more comments to go through.
- 1:06:31Thank you, Patrick for that. Crystal Dawn is responding, I
- 1:06:35think to to to Rebecca. It says, of course I will light
- 1:06:38some instance for you before I go to bed tonight and I hope
- 1:06:40that you feel better Say man, this is what I'm talking about
- 1:06:42guys and gals. I'll say, I'll say Reiki as well
- 1:06:45and. Everything.
- 1:06:46Thank you. Thank you, Blake.
- 1:06:50Actually, I'm actually in the process of doing it right now.
- 1:06:52I can do it like subconsciously that's.
- 1:06:56What's up? That's what's up, yeah, she
- 1:06:57says. I've also had a a mini stroke or
- 1:06:59two since last year. Tried my hardest not to let it
- 1:07:02get me down, even though I'm having a, or having to, to, to
- 1:07:07relearn a lot of the runes and such.
- 1:07:11And it stinks, but I'm getting them through slowly and surely.
- 1:07:15Rebecca, I got to give you props.
- 1:07:18The runes are a lifelong study anyway.
- 1:07:20And the runes are mysteries. You know, that's what rune
- 1:07:23means. Rune are our mysteries are, are
- 1:07:25these secrets, you know, so the symbols, the, the staves, the,
- 1:07:30the, the symbology, you know, whatever you want to call them
- 1:07:33are, are, yes, they, they are lessons.
- 1:07:35They are things to be learned and memorized and recited or
- 1:07:37whatever. It's a lot and and with the the
- 1:07:40attacks of of the mind that that a stroke can can, can impart the
- 1:07:47fact that you're still here and, and chatting with us and, and
- 1:07:50everything and being a part of this is a testament to the
- 1:07:53resilience of your spirit. So it's very good.
- 1:07:56You're on the right path. I just have to say this.
- 1:07:59I mean, despite what you're dealing with, again, I don't
- 1:08:03know you on a personal level by any means, but it just, you're
- 1:08:07doing good. You're doing fantastic.
- 1:08:10Face your feelings, embrace it and ask for help.
- 1:08:13It's a great step in the right direction.
- 1:08:16And again, not to sound like a record, but I'm very happy you
- 1:08:19feel safe and sharing that with us.
- 1:08:23It's it's very honorable. And I'll be doing my very best
- 1:08:27to keep your name and my heart and upon my altar this evening.
- 1:08:31And I wish you the very best. And thank you, gentlemen, for
- 1:08:36being so kind with your with your, with your words and with
- 1:08:40your thoughts. There's some back and forth, I
- 1:08:43think looking like with between Rebecca and Crystal about the
- 1:08:46Bibles. And they were, they were like
- 1:08:47dollar store, you know, or Dollar Tree fines or whatever.
- 1:08:51But let's see, Rebecca had a Russian neighbor from the old
- 1:08:56country, but she, her dad passed away, gave her Bible.
- 1:08:59Yeah. So, some more heirloom things.
- 1:09:04I'm going to hop off screen, but I'll be very much hearing what
- 1:09:07you're saying. Yeah, yeah, sure, man.
- 1:09:08Do you think? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:10If it was something like that, yes, of course I would keep it.
- 1:09:12But the Dollar General Bible she gives me is hoping I'll convert
- 1:09:15back. Yeah.
- 1:09:16So there's intent behind those actions.
- 1:09:18You know, there's there's intention with, with getting
- 1:09:21something that is, is is not, you know, an heirloom or
- 1:09:24whatever. It's, it's it's it's got like an
- 1:09:26ulterior motive, right? Yeah.
- 1:09:28So I mean understanding that the spirit behind what is being done
- 1:09:31or the intention behinds what's being done.
- 1:09:34Crystal Dawn says, I'm glad that you explained what Frith was.
- 1:09:37I'm not heathen and was too embarrassed to ask.
- 1:09:40Listen, everybody that may be watching this, you know, I, I, I
- 1:09:43get we, we make it people that are not necessarily heathen.
- 1:09:47No question is a dumb question. Please feel free to ask.
- 1:09:51This is not this is not a space and this is not none of the
- 1:09:56people here are are going to shame you for for asking
- 1:09:59questions, myself included. If I have anybody on here that
- 1:10:03that tries to be that way, I'll I'll catch it real quick and
- 1:10:06I'll and I'll cut it down. So everybody here right now is
- 1:10:09just definitely not like that. So feel free to ask any
- 1:10:13questions that you may have. One of my guilty pleasures in
- 1:10:17life though is I would like to would actually just own a Bible
- 1:10:22like but it would be like like original Latin Bible like an old
- 1:10:25one. Oh, really?
- 1:10:28I would just just just to have on my bookshelf just that
- 1:10:31because I'm kind of I'm kind of like a book ward a little bit.
- 1:10:34Well, not as much, but I do like to get I collect books a little
- 1:10:38bit so. I see that.
- 1:10:42Yeah, I couldn't read the Latin, but even if I couldn't read it,
- 1:10:44I'll just be like, I have it there, you know, because.
- 1:10:49I could fake my way through. Some of those old Latin Bibles,
- 1:10:53they're so beautifully done. Oh, for sure.
- 1:10:56I mean, and they have like some have artwork in them.
- 1:11:00Oh yeah, You got to think like what was put into it, like the
- 1:11:02work that was put into. Oh yeah.
- 1:11:05Describe it in that calligraphy or the the artwork and
- 1:11:08everything it's beautiful. Just acknowledge Randy real
- 1:11:12quick says culture of the tootens is good.
- 1:11:13It's organized in a way that builds on itself, which makes it
- 1:11:18fairly easy to read. And when it comes to academia
- 1:11:20guys and gals, that I think is one of the biggest hurdles that
- 1:11:25people find hard getting over is the unreadability of academic
- 1:11:31work. It's so tedious and it's so
- 1:11:34uninteresting, right? Culture of the Tootens, as Randy
- 1:11:36points out again, it builds on itself.
- 1:11:39It is, it is, it is written in a way that that makes it easy for
- 1:11:43the non academic to to follow. So you know, essential reading
- 1:11:46aside, it's, you know, don't be deterred by the fact that it's 2
- 1:11:49volumes. Oh my God, I can't think about
- 1:11:53reading 2 pages or or let alone 2 volumes.
- 1:11:56It is, just Google it like you can find APDF online that that's
- 1:12:00free and scroll and you'll see just how readable it is.
- 1:12:05But it's hard to. It's hard to find the actual
- 1:12:06physical copy of that though. Last I checked I think Amazon
- 1:12:12had some copies, but I don't know what they're going for,
- 1:12:14what the prices are. A lot of times those academic
- 1:12:16works tend to run up the the the bank as it as it will as it
- 1:12:23will. Yeah, it's on my.
- 1:12:24It's also on my reading list as well, but I haven't gotten
- 1:12:27around to it. Let's see what else here.
- 1:12:32So Rebecca says after my last mini stroke I honestly forgot
- 1:12:35what Frith was. And thank you for explaining it.
- 1:12:38Well, I'm glad that you were here to be a part of the
- 1:12:42revisiting of that concept. It is a deep one as it were.
- 1:12:48What else we got here? If anyone who wants to add me,
- 1:12:51they always my kindred in my life near or far.
- 1:12:54So Rebecca's kind of putting it out here.
- 1:12:56Guys, please and everybody please, you know, when, when
- 1:12:59stuff like this is shared or posted, please be respectful of
- 1:13:02the person. I don't want people, you know,
- 1:13:04creeping on people for, for, for for unnecessary reasons.
- 1:13:08But when somebody says, hey, feel free to add me, they're
- 1:13:10doing so because they feel comfortable.
- 1:13:12So please be respectful when doing so.
- 1:13:14But the invitation is there. And Rebecca, I just want to
- 1:13:17interject here upon you, gentlemen, is my mental health
- 1:13:22Highland group. You know, Rebecca, you have a
- 1:13:24place here. If you see to join us, you're
- 1:13:27going to be among very great people, great, great friends of
- 1:13:30mine and mutual, you know, supporters if you feel so
- 1:13:35inclined. You're more than welcome in my
- 1:13:38group and you'll have the best intentions and support.
- 1:13:46Thank you, Patrick. I'll be sure to so so Patrick's
- 1:13:50group is what is it? What?
- 1:13:51I think you recently renamed it to Hylung Tribe.
- 1:13:56Hylung, what? Was it?
- 1:13:58I don't think I renamed just eight time recently, but it's
- 1:14:00the Hylung Metal Holes Sport group.
- 1:14:03OK, I'll, I'll I need. To rename it though, that's a
- 1:14:06great idea. It's a long one.
- 1:14:07Well, no, I don't think. I don't think it was.
- 1:14:09But anyway, yeah, I'll, if you guys are so Rebecca, you know,
- 1:14:14you're on my obviously you're watching on Facebook.
- 1:14:17I tagged the group. I tagged Patrick's group in my
- 1:14:19recent post announcing that he's that he's joining this live
- 1:14:24stream. So if you go to that post in the
- 1:14:25event, the live stream event, you'll find the tag group that
- 1:14:29he's talking about. Just send the request to join,
- 1:14:33answer the basic, very basic questions to to, to add, to be
- 1:14:36added. And yeah, you'll, you'll be,
- 1:14:38you'll be there. It is a great space.
- 1:14:41It is a safe space. A lot of good people there.
- 1:14:43Just it's also an admin of this group, so you're in good company
- 1:14:47right off the bat. Also for Rebecca that may not
- 1:14:51have seen we got some viewers on YouTube, Sarah O'Brien, one who
- 1:14:55says that they will pray for you and that hope that they hope
- 1:14:58that things improve, you know, for you.
- 1:15:02So you got folks across the platforms that are acknowledging
- 1:15:06this and coming together in solidarity for you.
- 1:15:10So she says, Rebecca says y'all got me crying in a good way.
- 1:15:13Thank you all for the support man.
- 1:15:14That's what that's what it's about man.
- 1:15:16You know what I'm saying? Build each other up there there.
- 1:15:19You know, there's there's too much destruction, there's too
- 1:15:22much, there's too many walls being put up everywhere.
- 1:15:26Let's build some bridges, guys and gals, right, Let's let's
- 1:15:29build those bridges like some instance for Rebecca too.
- 1:15:36Michael Thacker's is is joining in solidarity as well for
- 1:15:40Rebecca. Your ancestors watch over you.
- 1:15:42That's beautiful, you know, and, and a lot of times that's,
- 1:15:46that's, that's, that's what it takes.
- 1:15:48At least that's a start. You know to, to to know that
- 1:15:51people are that are there for you.
- 1:15:56You know the the the book Jesse mentioned has an excellent
- 1:15:59section on Frith as well. Yes, sorry guys, just catching
- 1:16:02up on comments. Rebecca's they'll be right back
- 1:16:074 minutes ago. Crystal Dawn says I may not be
- 1:16:11Christian, but damn I love the art in old bibles and
- 1:16:14cathedrals. It's amazing.
- 1:16:16Look, you don't have to be. Christian to.
- 1:16:17Appreciate it. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:16:19Like that's just like, I don't have to be, you know, I'm a
- 1:16:24metal head, but but damn it, I appreciate the the the
- 1:16:27composition of some of of classical music and and and and
- 1:16:31opera. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:16:32Like I like the extreme music type sides of things, but I can
- 1:16:36appreciate talent and art when it when it.
- 1:16:39I was born and raised on bluegrass, so.
- 1:16:43So you. I can still play, I can still
- 1:16:45play bluegrass still. And I like know like nearly
- 1:16:48every song that I was taught and picked up so.
- 1:16:52Beauty is beauty. All right, Blake, let's.
- 1:16:54Hear it? Yeah, man.
- 1:16:55Pull out that banjo, man. You're talking about toggle harp
- 1:16:58this and toggle harp that and drum this and drum that.
- 1:17:00I want to hear that jaw harp and that banjo baby, you know?
- 1:17:03But upon that though. I have a banjo, but I have a
- 1:17:06guitar. Upon that, though, being raised
- 1:17:10from the Catholic, I'm very grateful for MyHeritage, my
- 1:17:14upbringing for a couple reasons. And one most important is
- 1:17:18something I respect about the Catholic faith, aside from the
- 1:17:22Christian faith. Again, personal observances here
- 1:17:25is with Catholics, they hold a high sense of reverence and the
- 1:17:30Catholic mass as a kid bored me to death, but as an adult and
- 1:17:37especially as a Pagan, it's that sense of reverence.
- 1:17:43Oh yeah, just like, OK, we're creating our sacred space.
- 1:17:47You have people create sacred face with fire, with
- 1:17:51frankincense, just saying, you know, but again, the Christians,
- 1:17:57again personal authorization. I I recently got a chance to
- 1:18:01attend a Catholic Mass. Yeah, that's true.
- 1:18:05I recently other other, you know, like again that's blaming
- 1:18:09that dissing, but other ones like, you know, dancing, playing
- 1:18:14the guitar and all that jazz like.
- 1:18:16The tambourine. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:18:17Like, no, no, we're good. We're good.
- 1:18:19I'm not. I hear a piece out.
- 1:18:21But like Catholic Mass though, it's like, OK, you come.
- 1:18:26As you are. I, I, I recently got a chance to
- 1:18:30by the way, Voodoo Viking says that some of the recent Amazon
- 1:18:34copies are going for around 30 bucks for for culture of the
- 1:18:38tootens, I believe. Well, thanks.
- 1:18:40That's not at all. Yeah.
- 1:18:42And there's John Deason. Great to see you too, John.
- 1:18:44John is a great fella here in the Middle Tennessee area.
- 1:18:48I believe he's he's kind of close to like the Dixon
- 1:18:51Clarksville, TN area. He's he's kind of up a further
- 1:18:54bit north of of me, but I've I've met him and and some of the
- 1:18:59my recent firewood, my campfirewood is thanks to Jon
- 1:19:02Deason here. So good seeing you here, Jon.
- 1:19:05Thanks for tuning in. But yeah, no, I, I did, I got a
- 1:19:08chance to recently attend a Catholic Mass because a friend
- 1:19:13of our family who has been very involved with just some, some
- 1:19:20recent inner family dealings, one of my wife's friends from
- 1:19:24high school, his grandmother had passed away and his mother, they
- 1:19:30are, they are, they are from Louisiana.
- 1:19:32But I mean, I'm talking they're, they are Cajun as fuck, right?
- 1:19:38No, no, no disrespect. But I mean, like his mom.
- 1:19:41It's, it's, you know, she, she, she's got that, that Louisiana
- 1:19:44Cajun thing going on with, with her accent.
- 1:19:47Yeah, man, just and, and their, they had invited us all to come
- 1:19:52to, to Mass one night. And it was, again, it wasn't a
- 1:19:58funeral, it wasn't awake, it wasn't anything like that.
- 1:20:00But they invited us to come to Mass and my wife had never been
- 1:20:04to Mass. My bonus kid had never been to
- 1:20:07Mass. They didn't know what they were
- 1:20:09in for. I had.
- 1:20:10And I said, listen, you're gonna, you're, this isn't like
- 1:20:12your normal Southern Baptist church.
- 1:20:15You're gonna be doing some work. You're gonna be sitting, you're
- 1:20:17gonna be kneeling, you're gonna be standing, you're gonna be
- 1:20:19kneeling, stands up, down, right.
- 1:20:23But man, like when, when they, when they start it all and when
- 1:20:25they go through the procession and you smell the frankincense
- 1:20:28in the cathedral. I mean, and, and you and you
- 1:20:31behold the ritual theater of what they're doing.
- 1:20:36It's, it's, it's I, I mean, like, like Patrick, what you
- 1:20:39said, you know, like it kind of tugs on your heart when
- 1:20:42especially viewing at it through a Pagan lens.
- 1:20:44Like This is why I've said for so long, like these Catholics
- 1:20:47like it, it's, it's paganism, but they're in denial because
- 1:20:52they're pagans in denial. They, they just, they just don't
- 1:20:55want to call it that, you know, praying to the paints, you're
- 1:20:57praying to the gods. OK, call it something else, but.
- 1:21:01Are they in denial or are they just confused?
- 1:21:04I mean, I don't know, like, I think they're, I think they're
- 1:21:06convicted. I think they're convicted enough
- 1:21:08to to say what they're saying. But I'm like, OK, well, if
- 1:21:10you're, if you're praying to the Saints, isn't that just another
- 1:21:12name for the gods because you got these different embodiments
- 1:21:15of divinity, You know, whatever. I don't know, I'm not trying to,
- 1:21:21but that was my whole thing. Like Catholics, they're just
- 1:21:23pagans in and out. Go to a Mass, attend the
- 1:21:26Catholic Mass and tell me differently.
- 1:21:30You know, everybody's opinions are different, but but hey, you
- 1:21:33know, it is what it is that that's my.
- 1:21:36See those? It's great to see those
- 1:21:39observations when you're in the my state to appreciate it again,
- 1:21:43twitch their own. You know, different strokes,
- 1:21:45different folks. We all see things differently,
- 1:21:47and that's what makes this universe very beautiful and
- 1:21:51challenging. Yeah.
- 1:21:54So Rebecca is in a kindred that is, I guess in Washington.
- 1:21:59It's called Odin's Peaks or Odin's.
- 1:22:02Yeah, Odin's Peak. They have a lot of outdoor
- 1:22:05activities, very heathen. Sacred Grove veneration is very
- 1:22:08heathen. So to be outdoors and to have
- 1:22:11sacred space held outdoors is a very heathen approach.
- 1:22:15But Sarah just can't get, can't do the cold.
- 1:22:18It's hard for me to get out. In general, I try to do what I
- 1:22:22can, but sometimes it feels like it's not enough.
- 1:22:26I love learning. It might be challenging, but if
- 1:22:30it's boring, it's no fun for me. Well, spice it up again, within
- 1:22:38reason, you know, this brainstorm, that thing kind of
- 1:22:42thing. Just think about it like there
- 1:22:44are ways that you could potentially help it.
- 1:22:47There isn't, there isn't anything that is not enough, you
- 1:22:51know, You know, double negative aside, everything.
- 1:22:58If, if you've done it in that moment, it's enough, It's
- 1:23:03acceptable. It's it's been put into the
- 1:23:07ether, it's there. I'd love that.
- 1:23:12Yeah, yeah. You come, you come, you come
- 1:23:15forth to do what you can with the best of what you got.
- 1:23:18You know, you give everything you got and if the, if the best
- 1:23:20is what you got is, hey, I can give you 5 minutes because my
- 1:23:24body, my, my, my joints, my, this, my, that I can't handle,
- 1:23:26but I'm gonna give you everything I got.
- 1:23:28And if all you've got is that, then, hey, that's what you've
- 1:23:32done. And, and I think the gods
- 1:23:34recognize that. I think your ancestors recognize
- 1:23:36that. I think everything that you go
- 1:23:38into with your spirit fully integrated, you know, you, you,
- 1:23:42you come to it with purity, you come to it with genuineness.
- 1:23:48You know, like it, it's going to show itself real quick.
- 1:23:52Just let Rebecca know. Sorry, Patrick, I'll let you
- 1:23:55chime in. So to answer your question,
- 1:23:57Rebecca, myself and Blake over here, Skaldick Works are on
- 1:24:02YouTube. Blake is a musician, so his
- 1:24:04channel is Skaldick Works. They're and, and, and my channel
- 1:24:10is Midgard Musings. Patrick doesn't have a channel
- 1:24:12on YouTube because he's not really putting content out here
- 1:24:16per SE in that fashion, at least not yet.
- 1:24:19So him, Blake and I, you know, we, we, we share content on our
- 1:24:24YouTube channels when and as we can.
- 1:24:26Patrick is primarily on Facebook, but hopefully then.
- 1:24:29I also I also have a secondary Facebook account as well we call
- 1:24:34Sacred Roots Holistic Services. Sacred Roots.
- 1:24:38Holistic Services. I think I've seen that before.
- 1:24:43Let me see if I can find it on here.
- 1:24:51It's, it's got a longer name than that, but it's.
- 1:24:53Let's see. Yeah, if you can't find it right
- 1:24:59now, yeah, go ahead and post it down in the comments if you can.
- 1:25:02Otherwise I'll add it to the post.
- 1:25:08Some well-being. Yeah.
- 1:25:12Is it on your link tree? Have you added it to your link
- 1:25:14tree or no? No, I was separately free for
- 1:25:18that. It's, yeah, Sacred roots,
- 1:25:20holistic service and spiritual guidance, actually.
- 1:25:28OK. And that's that's where I do all
- 1:25:29my my healing, my healing work and my room readings and stuff.
- 1:25:35OK, did you post it down below? Let me see, yeah.
- 1:25:43Edit to the comments if you want to to Blake.
- 1:25:45Otherwise, we'll we'll we'll add it later.
- 1:25:49Yeah, I'll, I'll, I'll play here.
- 1:25:50It's. I'm on this.
- 1:25:58I don't have to. I don't have to find it.
- 1:25:59Let me see if. I can, that's OK.
- 1:26:02OK, so I did get me off. Yay.
- 1:26:05OK, there we go. I'm going to log into my
- 1:26:08Facebook here and we can see if I can find this.
- 1:26:11Awesome. What's up there?
- 1:26:13Kevin Dunn on Facebook just. Kevin Dunn.
- 1:26:17Yeah, Kevin. Kevin, come back.
- 1:26:22Come. Back it's like home alone, you
- 1:26:25know Kevin, what would you do to.
- 1:26:27A little jerk. He says I'm there with you
- 1:26:29Patrick. Kevin knows Patrick I guess.
- 1:26:32Or y'all know each other? Yep.
- 1:26:35A recovering Catholic, he says. He's got.
- 1:26:43Yeah, Buddha, Viking says. Raised Catholic and his father
- 1:26:50is in the Grand Knights of the Knights of Columbus down there
- 1:26:54in Louisiana. Great group.
- 1:26:56Yeah, they do good things. They really do recovering.
- 1:27:02I don't I don't know how to send this so.
- 1:27:06That's all right, man. If you put it, there's a comment
- 1:27:13section on on where we're where we're streaming from.
- 1:27:16If you couldn't. Find it by the tried.
- 1:27:20It's like so Mike, so while you're doing this, by the way,
- 1:27:23anybody that that's this will be this will be annotated in in the
- 1:27:27after show notes too. So Blake, you know, is
- 1:27:29mentioning the site or a page that that he does holistic
- 1:27:33healing room, Reiki room readings this and that it'll be
- 1:27:37it'll be shared after the the show as well, in case you miss
- 1:27:40it here in the the live stream. I'm gonna send it directly to
- 1:27:44you here. Paste.
- 1:27:45OK, there we go. Yep, I got it.
- 1:27:48I'll put it down here in just a second.
- 1:27:50Let me get to Michael Thacker's comment says.
- 1:27:54Hate to ask this on the current happy topic, but what symbolism
- 1:27:59should be avoided besides the obvious swastika?
- 1:28:05He's asking due to getting 2 tattoos a while back and them
- 1:28:10getting the wrong attention. Oh boy that's tough one.
- 1:28:17I like the toughness though. I like it.
- 1:28:19I like the toughness. What room what?
- 1:28:21What symbols should be avoided flat out?
- 1:28:27Anybody want to? I think I have.
- 1:28:29I think I have one in mind. It's the debris, Black sun.
- 1:28:34The black sun symbol, yes. Not to be confused with the with
- 1:28:38the Slavic sun wheel sun wheel Slavic symbol because the that's
- 1:28:42that's two different things. They may look similar, but they
- 1:28:45are not. Yeah.
- 1:28:47The Black Sun? Yep.
- 1:28:49There's a lot more, there's a lot more little staves around
- 1:28:51that one around Black Sun than the the Slavic 1.
- 1:28:55Yep, you're good, Patrick. You just the foot in Othala.
- 1:29:05The foot, yes, the boots on the Othala room yeah.
- 1:29:08So Othala with a wing if it if it if it looks like it's got
- 1:29:11feet kicking off at the bottom stave XNA on the follow OA.
- 1:29:19Just go with a straight Othala. Don't do the Othala with wings
- 1:29:23or boots or whatever they call it.
- 1:29:25That's a big one. There's a.
- 1:29:26Five room. It has an axe like a canas.
- 1:29:34The camera's messing me up right now.
- 1:29:38You want to draw it? You got a paper I remember.
- 1:29:42What it looked like. I just know there's the X, and I
- 1:29:50regret even talking about it because I can't recall it, but
- 1:29:54it's originally it's a Catholic symbol for the reborn of Christ,
- 1:29:58but it looks very much like a fine rune and a certain aspect.
- 1:30:01So it's acts again, I have to share with you every time.
- 1:30:07But yeah, what is it called? Come to mind to a void.
- 1:30:13What is it called Reborn of Christ?
- 1:30:20I'm going to try to draw it here.
- 1:30:24Well. This this can take too long.
- 1:30:27That's. OK, I another one's called the
- 1:30:31the wolf's angle wolf's angle is is is basically a an Aquas rune.
- 1:30:39So the rune that has like that, it's a straight axis with with
- 1:30:46with one thing going this way and the other one going the
- 1:30:48other way. It's a wolf's angle, Wol FSANGEL
- 1:30:57wolf's angle and then a line going through the middle of it.
- 1:31:00That's a that's, that's a, that's one that's, you know, you
- 1:31:04shouldn't appropriate in, in in any sort of heathen context.
- 1:31:09It's not a heathen symbol. They they quote Adam Sandler's 8
- 1:31:13Crazy nights. That's a technical foul.
- 1:31:16Yeah, yeah, I would say like the S S bolts obviously like double
- 1:31:23solu, double Solu runes are are are clearly alt right, you know,
- 1:31:30fascist symbology. Unless you put unless you put
- 1:31:34them in something like like a meaning like between the couple
- 1:31:38characters. It's tough to, it's tough to
- 1:31:40though, because like even with the swastika, because the
- 1:31:42swastika is a sun wheel, it is a, it is a Hindu symbol.
- 1:31:46It. Predates what the Nazis
- 1:31:48appropriated it as. So let's just be real like it
- 1:31:51it, you know, but but if you put that on you, if you wear it,
- 1:31:54obviously people are going to. Well, there's also.
- 1:31:58There's also a version called the Three.
- 1:32:00The three fought is A33 sided version of that.
- 1:32:07Yeah. But I don't think that's, I
- 1:32:09think that's a little bit more less challenge challenged.
- 1:32:17It's tough when you talk about symbols, you know, because even
- 1:32:19the tee waz rune tears rune, the the tee waz rune has been
- 1:32:24appropriated by Nazis in the past and, and, and the algaes
- 1:32:29has been appropriated by Finland.
- 1:32:32You know what I mean? Like that's been appropriated as
- 1:32:34well. Like, but but like blatant
- 1:32:40misappropriations. Oh, the peace symbol.
- 1:32:46Yeah, you got algaes on a circle, but you, you put you,
- 1:32:49yeah, you put you, yeah, you put the peace symbol.
- 1:32:50Like you invert it and you've got the peace symbol, but you
- 1:32:53got algaes in a circle like. This is the opposite of peace in
- 1:32:57my personal opinion. You think so?
- 1:32:59Oh, I know. So my, again, personal
- 1:33:01experience, you know, UPGI think it is.
- 1:33:04It's just this is unified peace, you know, connected to the
- 1:33:10sacred. This again, as a teenager, as a
- 1:33:15kid. Oh, peace, man.
- 1:33:17Yeah. Now it's like no peace, little
- 1:33:20rocket peace. Yeah.
- 1:33:21Exactly. No.
- 1:33:22What? I found a weird word.
- 1:33:25I had a Christian person I used to go to a Bible school as a kid
- 1:33:30that my teacher there would say that the they turned the cross
- 1:33:35upside down and broken the arms. OK, there was like a form of
- 1:33:46satanic symbol or some of that. I'm like grief.
- 1:33:51Welcome to the South, people. They'll make anything satanic if
- 1:33:54they want to. Yeah.
- 1:33:57All right. So Crystal Dawn says maybe
- 1:34:00they'll attend one of the Saint Louis Basilica's masses someday
- 1:34:04just to see. I, I visited once and was in awe
- 1:34:08of the building. So a basilica, yes, that's
- 1:34:11that's obviously would be a a Catholic holy site and and the
- 1:34:17one in Saint Louis, the Saint Louis Basilica apparently has
- 1:34:20some pretty impressive architecture maybe or.
- 1:34:24I might have to go visit there. Yeah.
- 1:34:27There's there's one, there's one, I'm not sure if it's
- 1:34:29Catholic or what a church it is, but it's like the oldest church
- 1:34:33in downtown Charleston. And we, we were, we were on the
- 1:34:41bus tour. They were showing that as well.
- 1:34:43You could, you could. I don't.
- 1:34:44Not sure if we could got into it, but you can see that you
- 1:34:47were showing that they had the doors open where you can see
- 1:34:50straight to the to the back stained glass window.
- 1:34:53Yeah. There's a lot of.
- 1:34:59Oh, sorry. Go ahead, Blake.
- 1:35:01There's a lot of different denominational churches in
- 1:35:05downtown Charleston. Sure there are.
- 1:35:09It's a melting pot, Luna. Luna says that they're up there
- 1:35:12past their bedtime and but I must surrender to the Z's and
- 1:35:18goodnight, yes, goodnight to you Luna.
- 1:35:19Thank you for being. Here.
- 1:35:20In case we missed your comment, you get to watch this later.
- 1:35:24Thank you for being here. Let's see, let me Scroll down a
- 1:35:29little bit more if I can find it.
- 1:35:32Here we go, John, Jason says. Here in a second.
- 1:35:35Jesse. Jesse cracked the Catholic code.
- 1:35:38I don't know about that man, but you know, Patrick may have
- 1:35:45disappeared. Isn't St.
- 1:35:48Brigid and the Goddess Brigid. Brigid.
- 1:35:54Brigid. Yeah.
- 1:35:55Brigid. Or the sacred goddess of the
- 1:35:56goddess Brigid and the Saint Brigid the same entity.
- 1:36:00I can't. I can't.
- 1:36:02Say that's very complicated. I think I think they're based
- 1:36:11off the same, but. Maybe I I would have to come
- 1:36:17back and and and research. It more yeah, because I've heard
- 1:36:24of some, I have heard different wild stories about that one that
- 1:36:27I don't, I haven't dialed down into that rabbit hole yet.
- 1:36:32More to come on that Crystal Dawn.
- 1:36:34I'll, I'll try to maybe find a better answer for that.
- 1:36:38I don't. I can't say for sure.
- 1:36:40Names, you know, to, to say that that a name is is the same as
- 1:36:45another name is, is a stretch unless we have our historical
- 1:36:50documentation to to to to tie the two together.
- 1:36:53You know what I mean? And and you're, you're, you're
- 1:36:55asking about heathens here, a, you know, Celtic question.
- 1:37:02This is also true, you know, having, having the two names be
- 1:37:08similar, you know, Brigid as a goddess is, is not found in the
- 1:37:12Germanic pantheon or, or, or, or culture of things.
- 1:37:18Yeah, Rebecca went to an Episcopalian church once.
- 1:37:24They all started flopping around and speaking some weird some
- 1:37:32weird start and and speaking some weird language.
- 1:37:35I guess younger it it freaked me out.
- 1:37:38That doesn't sound Episcopalian. That sounds Pentecostal.
- 1:37:41But what do I know? I'm not an Episcopalian.
- 1:37:43Never have been to an Episcopalian service.
- 1:37:45But but but speaking in tongues seems seems very Pentecostal.
- 1:37:51Yeah, Voodoo Vikings says you don't say that to Catholics.
- 1:37:57It don't end well. Oh, yeah, being being pagan's in
- 1:38:02denial. Yeah.
- 1:38:04I say it loosely. I'm not trying to stir any
- 1:38:06feathers. Well, or maybe I am.
- 1:38:10Maria. Maria bakes to venerate.
- 1:38:15OK. Oh, Maria, that's that.
- 1:38:17That's Randy's Randy's life. Randy's significant other.
- 1:38:21Maria bakes to venerate. Hey, welcome back, Patrick.
- 1:38:23Good to have you back. Yes, Maria Morrow bakes to
- 1:38:27venerate. Can't beat fresh bread, man.
- 1:38:32I'll tell you what, you really can't.
- 1:38:34You cannot beat fresh. Bread.
- 1:38:35Absolutely. Let me tell you, I will.
- 1:38:38I will show up to your house ready to to do anything you ask
- 1:38:42me if I smell freshly baked carbs in out of coming out of
- 1:38:46your window. You can, you can, you can.
- 1:38:48You can beat it when you before you before it's baked.
- 1:38:52Yeah, they said. They said that baking is
- 1:38:55venerating. Is baking.
- 1:38:57Sorry, baking is venerating the gods to be baked.
- 1:39:02Is that venerating the gods too? Or are we talking about two
- 1:39:05different things? What kind of are we talking
- 1:39:06about? That's what I'm saying.
- 1:39:07Are we, what are we talking about here?
- 1:39:09Are we baking bread or what are we baking over here?
- 1:39:11No, I I know what you're saying, Crystal.
- 1:39:13I know what you're saying, Crystal.
- 1:39:14Don. Yes.
- 1:39:16Because here's the thing. When when you get into the
- 1:39:19kitchen, when you put ingredients together in a bowl
- 1:39:23or a pan or this or that, right? What are you doing?
- 1:39:27It's alchemy. You're you're mixing elements.
- 1:39:29It's magic people. It's you, you're, you're, you're
- 1:39:33conducting a a spell when you when you put this together and
- 1:39:37that together and boom, what happens?
- 1:39:38You, you, you, you create something out of base elements.
- 1:39:43It it is it's magic and so. And some of the same spices and
- 1:39:47and herbs are are used in baking and cooking are actually used
- 1:39:51also in herbal remedies. Rosemary.
- 1:39:56Sure. I know.
- 1:39:58I know of a the woman who my Reiki teacher, my Reiki master,
- 1:40:03she runs a apothecary and tea shop here locally in town that
- 1:40:09also has sells like crystals and all the other wee, wee stuff.
- 1:40:13But yeah. And a lot of these ingredients
- 1:40:17have terpenes. If anyone who enjoys cannabis
- 1:40:22offers very healing properties. And that's outside cannabis too.
- 1:40:27You know, you have different, you know, foods, different
- 1:40:31plants that offer healing properties like lavender.
- 1:40:35It's wonderful for sleeping, relaxing, you have basil, you
- 1:40:42have time, you have multiple different things that so many
- 1:40:45purposes too. It's it's very pitiful.
- 1:40:47And baking. Again, hats off to anyone who's
- 1:40:50baking. I can't just.
- 1:40:53Save my own life. But that is a that is a
- 1:40:56dedicated. It's a size.
- 1:40:58Really. It really.
- 1:40:59Is yeah, in a way I can, I can, I can mean I can whip a mean
- 1:41:02thing. I can, I can whip up a mean dish
- 1:41:04in the in the kitchen. I can't bake to save.
- 1:41:06My like some scrambled eggs with the Worcestershire sauce maybe?
- 1:41:10Perhaps. Yeah.
- 1:41:11Oh yeah. Oh yeah.
- 1:41:12I'll give you some Gordon Ramsay level scrambled eggs, baby, You
- 1:41:15know what I'm saying? Don't ask me to bake cookies
- 1:41:18because I'll bake you a cookie. I'll put, I'll put.
- 1:41:20Instead of 12 cookies, you'll have one giant sheet pan of a
- 1:41:22cookie that you'll have to eat. So like Brownie?
- 1:41:26Cookie Cake. I can make, I can make a mean
- 1:41:29pork Stew. I can make a mean pork Stew.
- 1:41:32And that's what we've we've kind of dubbed that artificial yellow
- 1:41:36bloat kind of dish. OK.
- 1:41:40Because it turned out what so well, the first year I was like,
- 1:41:44well, we're doing this again next year.
- 1:41:45But we did not end up doing it again next year, this year
- 1:41:48because we we have the finances, of course, but you know.
- 1:41:53Sure, sure. Well, Rebecca's asking that, she
- 1:41:56says I got to write these down or I'll forget the time I go to
- 1:41:59look. Unless someone can message it to
- 1:42:01me. Rebecca yeah, this, this, this,
- 1:42:04this live stream is is recorded. You can rewatch it.
- 1:42:06But if it makes it easier for you, if you want to, I'll just
- 1:42:11put my information out here. If anybody wants to reach out to
- 1:42:14me directly and ask a question, emailing me is the best way.
- 1:42:18So my e-mail address is midgard.musings.tn.liketennesseesomidgardmusingstn@gmail.com.
- 1:42:31Or you can DM me on my socials, you know, so I have a Facebook
- 1:42:34page. Obviously you're watching this
- 1:42:35on. I have my YouTube channel, but
- 1:42:37my, my link tree link is posted. So all of my socials are linked
- 1:42:39there. If you want to DM me on my
- 1:42:41socials, that's fine. But my, my preferred method of
- 1:42:45contact is, is to e-mail me midgardmusingstn@gmail.com.
- 1:42:50Ask me anything. If you're looking for something
- 1:42:52that you don't want to, you know, just say, hey, there was
- 1:42:54something we were talking about on this live stream and and I'm
- 1:42:57looking for information about XYZ.
- 1:43:00I mean, I get back to you right away.
- 1:43:02May take me a day or two to get back to you, but I will respond.
- 1:43:05So there is that. Also, Rebecca has a joke.
- 1:43:14Why do people in Greece like waking up at dawn?
- 1:43:17Why do they don't? Cause dawn is tough on Greece.
- 1:43:25Get out of here. Come on, get out of here.
- 1:43:28Damn it. Dang it.
- 1:43:37Oh, goodness. That's good, Rebecca.
- 1:43:38That was great. Jesse, tell the wife you sharp
- 1:43:41good there today. Oh, OK, I like.
- 1:43:43That. One, so this, this is one if
- 1:43:47you, if, if you're dramatic heathen, you know, there's a,
- 1:43:50there's another name for the spirits of, of the land and it's
- 1:43:56white and it's spelled Wight. But it sounds like you're saying
- 1:44:01the, the, the, the color, the absence of color white, but it's
- 1:44:04white. So another name for, for the
- 1:44:06dramatic spirit of, of anything is white.
- 1:44:09So land White, House White, you know, and, and the joke was,
- 1:44:13what do you call a heathen who thinks that the land spirits are
- 1:44:19above the gods? Blake, what do you call those?
- 1:44:26Any idea? Sorry I I was doing something.
- 1:44:31Else oh so so so so so. What do you call a heathen who
- 1:44:34thinks that the land spirits are above the gods?
- 1:44:43I do not know about that. 10 White surprised.
- 1:44:47Oh, oh, that's, that's, that's funny.
- 1:44:53I didn't keep that. Beautiful.
- 1:44:56Yeah. Mike Glass just broke.
- 1:44:57So about sight, we're like a broke try.
- 1:45:01Yeah. You're ready.
- 1:45:02So dude, what the heck you doing over there?
- 1:45:05We're just live streaming over here.
- 1:45:07Yeah, last like. Three weeks.
- 1:45:09This ain't that serious, my guy. What average?
- 1:45:12They they don't make him like they used to.
- 1:45:13I could hate. That though, they don't.
- 1:45:17Booty Viking asks. We all should.
- 1:45:19Should all of us recovering Catholics start a group of our
- 1:45:21own? I don't know sure why not.
- 1:45:24Why don't you? Why don't you start one voodoo
- 1:45:25Viking? If I.
- 1:45:28Cathaholics Anonymous kid. I love that heck.
- 1:45:34Dude Blake showing up clutch with the with the with the with
- 1:45:37that man. Alcoholics Anonymous.
- 1:45:40Alcoholics. Anonymous for 12 years.
- 1:45:44Years all right Bad. Golly, Michael Thacker says this
- 1:45:50is this has gone back to one of his his things about symbols.
- 1:45:53He says, for the record, I got a Volknut and Horns of Odin, the
- 1:45:57Triskelion like the like the like I.
- 1:46:00I have the horn triskelion as well over my mule near.
- 1:46:03I show that to you the last in the last episode.
- 1:46:05Yeah, and I have a Volknut on my chest.
- 1:46:07I I get like the Volknut can like OK, so we we know that the
- 1:46:12Volcan it's been it it appears on some rune stones.
- 1:46:18You know, whether it's inherently heathen, old ways,
- 1:46:20heathen, pre Christian or not, but but I have a valk nut on my
- 1:46:24chest. I'm I'm not ashamed to say it
- 1:46:27was my devotion. It was my dedication to Odin.
- 1:46:30Now that comes with its own thing and that's that's a that's
- 1:46:34a that's a conversation for another's time.
- 1:46:35I'm. Very, very wayward about that
- 1:46:38because as something I will have to say, do deep research before
- 1:46:41I did that. Yeah, well, I did research and I
- 1:46:46and I committed and I and I, I'm, I'm in it now.
- 1:46:49So it's, you know, it is. Yeah, that's the reason why I'm
- 1:46:53very careful about the symbols I put on my body.
- 1:46:57Rebecca says that they have runes on their chest that say
- 1:47:02truth, runes on your chest that say truth.
- 1:47:06So I'm assuming we're talking about runic characters that
- 1:47:09spell out the word for truth. Perhaps they get crap all the
- 1:47:15time for it. Or even if my hammer is showing,
- 1:47:18I get yelled at for being Aryan Nation.
- 1:47:25Wow. So I just reply to them to go
- 1:47:27read a book and educate themselves.
- 1:47:30I think that this is very indicative of the area that a
- 1:47:34lot of people are in. This, this is this is an example
- 1:47:36of why in North America, at least in the United States
- 1:47:40specifically, not every place is as accepting or as welcoming to
- 1:47:47symbols as others. Clearly in Washington.
- 1:47:50Or as now. Or as knowledgeable or, or
- 1:47:53whatever, I mean like perfect, like to, to have runes carved on
- 1:47:57you or to have a, a, a, a, a mule near carrying like have it
- 1:48:02on your body to, to, to, to have it be related as, as something
- 1:48:07of, of an alt right hate group is unfortunate.
- 1:48:12It's it's the reality in some places, but it's unfortunate.
- 1:48:15And I'm sorry that you're having to go through that, Rebecca.
- 1:48:18It is because unfortunately with this day and age prior to the
- 1:48:24origins of the ruins, Yeah, again, going back to Naz
- 1:48:30Germany. I've been watching
- 1:48:32documentaries. Can't explain why but I realized
- 1:48:38I was like oh very much off topic there but it's fine.
- 1:48:41It's not. Only actually on topic.
- 1:48:44It's just. Hank Booty was, you know.
- 1:48:48Christian and well, sorry Catholic.
- 1:48:52I was trying to appease Catholic churches and his endeavor I
- 1:48:58guess, but was very much uttering paganism at the same
- 1:49:04time. Well, he also, he also, he also
- 1:49:09had a lot of the influences of Guido von List, who was an
- 1:49:14occultist. So you have the Armanden runes
- 1:49:18that, that Guido von List. And that's a whole thing in and
- 1:49:23of itself. If you want to look at the
- 1:49:24history of, of what Guido von List discovered through dreams
- 1:49:29and through ecstatic states of, of this and that and his whole
- 1:49:32runic system, it is a mind blowing discovery.
- 1:49:37If you want to go down that route to say that the Nazis were
- 1:49:40socialists and that they were, you know, on the, on, on the,
- 1:49:43the far left. I, I, I don't, I don't use this
- 1:49:47platform to discuss semantics of, of political agendas and
- 1:49:51things. So I'm just going to leave your
- 1:49:52opinion at that Voodoo Viking. And we can discuss it offline
- 1:49:57privately if you want to, but I'm not going to, I'm not going
- 1:50:00to, I'm not going to go down that path just for the sake of,
- 1:50:04of everyone's audience. Jon has a Raven tattooed, I
- 1:50:10guess they always get looked down on when it's shown why it's
- 1:50:14a bird or birds. Like why, why, why would a Raven
- 1:50:18be looked down upon? There is always a time to
- 1:50:20educate after I explain my beliefs like, you know, like,
- 1:50:23like what, what what is wrong with people that you're going to
- 1:50:25put some sort of derogatory negative twist on a spirit of
- 1:50:31nature like a freaking bird. At the very least it's a bird.
- 1:50:35Like come on. Like get.
- 1:50:37Well, maybe they're not. Maybe they're not looking down
- 1:50:39upon them for the image, but for the tattoo itself.
- 1:50:45That's what I mean. Maybe, maybe, maybe just.
- 1:50:51Yeah, just like we live in the South, in the South, a lot of
- 1:50:56people here are just so diehard. They're admit that they look as.
- 1:51:01Yeah, yeah, people with tattoos, like, oh, you're going to hell.
- 1:51:04Whatever. OK.
- 1:51:05Oh, yeah. All right.
- 1:51:06Crystal Dawn, thank you. You have to go to.
- 1:51:08It's past your bedtime. I know it is late.
- 1:51:10And for those of you hanging around chilling out, you know,
- 1:51:13Blake and and Patrick, thank you all.
- 1:51:15Wish you the best, too. There.
- 1:51:17Crystal Dawn, thank you for being here.
- 1:51:20Let's get Patrick back on here. There he is.
- 1:51:23Oh, my God damn. That's all right.
- 1:51:27And then we got Kevin that says Latin Mass will make you feel
- 1:51:32like you're in a time machine. Catholic Mass does it.
- 1:51:36It kind of puts you in a state of mind that recalls, you know,
- 1:51:41something of, of an ancient or, or older way.
- 1:51:45Like I could, I could agree with that.
- 1:51:48Well, certainly without a doubt, yeah.
- 1:51:50Voodoo Viking says that the peace symbol is the flag symbol
- 1:51:54for nuclear deterrence. Yeah, given, given the fact of
- 1:52:02when it rose. Reading that.
- 1:52:07Yeah, I mean, like I said, you know, like it when it happened,
- 1:52:10like when, when the peace symbol, when the peace, when,
- 1:52:12when it, when it, you know, look at what was happening in the
- 1:52:16country, look at what was happening in the world.
- 1:52:18It was, it was, it was iconic. You know, So to, to, to, to use
- 1:52:22that symbol and to make it a thing, appropriate it maybe for
- 1:52:27their own vision, I guess. Could be.
- 1:52:32Oh, Jesus. Wow.
- 1:52:33Yeah. OK, let me read this one.
- 1:52:37So Rebecca Ferris says, to be honest, I left the Skinhead
- 1:52:39movement 20 years ago and had waited 20 years to get bolts
- 1:52:45covered. I was young and, well, didn't
- 1:52:49really know what I was getting into at first.
- 1:52:52When my mother before she passed away, she told me to read a book
- 1:52:58and educate myself. Long story short, I did.
- 1:53:02Then I cussed a few of the skinheads out before I left the
- 1:53:06group. Best choice I ever made.
- 1:53:09Then I started studying the runes and old ways and learned a
- 1:53:12lot. I gave my kids, who are now 25
- 1:53:15and 23, the choice of a youth group at a Baptist Church or
- 1:53:22study heathen ways. My kids are smart, so they
- 1:53:25studied both for a long while. Then when they were ready, they
- 1:53:30both chose the heathen path. I also just found out I'm going
- 1:53:36to be a grandma of twins. Congrats.
- 1:53:39Wow, that's amazing, Rebecca. You know, we all, we, we, we do,
- 1:53:44we make decisions sometimes in our youth through influence of
- 1:53:49others, through, through informed visions of, of, of
- 1:53:52things at the time, you know, and we have to go back, we have
- 1:53:54to, you know, revisit those, those things.
- 1:53:56And it sounds like you did so, so good on you for realizing,
- 1:54:02hey, man, this was not a good move, you know, and then giving
- 1:54:06your children and future generations a chance to learn on
- 1:54:13their own right, be informed and, and, and find their own
- 1:54:16way. So that's great.
- 1:54:23Voodoo Viking says Catholics took took.
- 1:54:29I think this may be back to the Brigid, Brigid Brigid comment.
- 1:54:33Yeah, yeah, one of the same because the Catholics took her
- 1:54:35as a form of conversion of the people.
- 1:54:37That tracks. You know that that's that makes
- 1:54:40sense. What did Kevin say when you when
- 1:54:45was your heathen baptism? When did you guys decide to
- 1:54:52become heathen? That's a great question, Kevin.
- 1:54:56Thank you for asking. I know it's 17 minutes ago, so
- 1:54:59maybe you're still here. I'm trying to catch up on
- 1:55:04comments. There he is.
- 1:55:05I just so so when was when you know, so you guys here like
- 1:55:12let's let's reflect a little bit.
- 1:55:13I'm trying to catch up on comments.
- 1:55:15These are almost 20 minutes old. When was your heathen quote UN
- 1:55:18quote baptism? When did you guys decide to
- 1:55:22become even? Who's going first?
- 1:55:30Blake. OK, I was waiting for everybody
- 1:55:35else to start, but. I was going to start, buddy.
- 1:55:38All right. Yeah, yeah, I was.
- 1:55:41I didn't want to be the first, the first one to suggest so.
- 1:55:44But since Jesse's the maestro here, my first time, I've
- 1:55:52explained, I've probably explained this once before on
- 1:55:54this channel or the podcast that I kind of followed the Barossa
- 1:56:01true path for a while. Kind of like, you know, I grew.
- 1:56:06Up. Yeah, many, many moves ago, I
- 1:56:12was listening to, I, I listened to, I was listening to.
- 1:56:15I still do listen to Aman. Marth got me into there.
- 1:56:22Then I watched a bit of the show Vikings, which I never did
- 1:56:25complete. By the way, the whole what I
- 1:56:29I've I've left it at season 3 for some reason that I haven't
- 1:56:33come season one season 3. Yeah, yeah, the, the first
- 1:56:42original season, the I've at season 3 I've, I have or, or I
- 1:56:48kind of like dipped out after that season.
- 1:56:52OK. So it was like going to season 4
- 1:56:56and I just hadn't caught back up.
- 1:56:58And so that kind of got me into interested into things as well.
- 1:57:05Then I started reading more into it and I was like, OK, this is
- 1:57:09pretty decent religion here. But for about 5 years, I guess
- 1:57:15it was from 2013 to to 2020, twenty, that I was like not
- 1:57:22inactive, I was inactive. I was just like saying,
- 1:57:25declaring that I was Pagan. And then 2020 is when I started
- 1:57:30really buckling down, looking inward and following the path.
- 1:57:34That's when I started doing my research, doing the reading,
- 1:57:38going to my first bloats and then getting involved in the
- 1:57:45community and stuff. And then here I am today.
- 1:57:51So very, very short. OK, well, here you are today
- 1:57:58doing some great things, talking with us here on the podcast.
- 1:58:01Thanks for sharing that your your origins, as it were.
- 1:58:05Patrick, you go next. I would go next but Wi-Fi is
- 1:58:10being very messed up right now. I thought any given moment I'm
- 1:58:15going to get kicked off from the live again so I'm scared to say
- 1:58:19anything. Well, you better hurry up then,
- 1:58:21damn it. All right.
- 1:58:22Damn it can't see the video it's.
- 1:58:25Not the same right now all. Right, all right, here we go.
- 1:58:29Here we go. Loki, show the fuck out.
- 1:58:33But anyways, so me me Patrick. Right on cue.
- 1:58:48Right the fuck on cue. Right the fuck on cue.
- 1:58:52He had to say it. He had to say look, he had to.
- 1:58:54I was out laughing over here. Nope.
- 1:58:57Geeks things, man. I mean, I'm laughing over here,
- 1:59:00but I'm also. But you said OK, right?
- 1:59:05Right. Yeah.
- 1:59:07It's just, it's just, it's funny, Kevin, I, I started off
- 1:59:14almost 10 years ago as a heathen.
- 1:59:17I, I, I've, I've had a Mulnar tattooed on my arm for, for
- 1:59:21almost 20 years before, since before I was heathen.
- 1:59:26But I, I, I found the heathen path right around the time when
- 1:59:29Vikings came out. I, I saw that there was pop
- 1:59:32culture that was putting attention to the whole thing.
- 1:59:37My ancestry is, is deeply rooted in, in, in Germanic.
- 1:59:42I, you know what, Patrick? You know what?
- 1:59:45You say the name, you say the name.
- 1:59:47And I and I go. You listen.
- 1:59:49You, you, you got to wonder. You got to, you got to go
- 1:59:51listen, you know, all right. We'll have the time, we'll have
- 1:59:55the chance. Get answer the question.
- 1:59:57Don't say the L word. Don't say good.
- 2:00:04Crash course here, but being born the way it was the way.
- 2:00:11I am what awesome and all. Thank you.
- 2:00:15It's just different, yes and awesome, without a doubt.
- 2:00:18But it's a very great question. It takes great time and energy
- 2:00:27to answer SO and do my best in this circumstance, but I've
- 2:00:34always been aware of something sacred, something meaningful.
- 2:00:40And not to play a pity card, but being born the way I am, more or
- 2:00:47less I can't accept it. I've been forced into this
- 2:00:51predicament. I never wanted to be in this
- 2:00:55situation but I've been given it and I'm doing my best.
- 2:00:58So anyways, this is my train of thought now.
- 2:01:12Yeah, what made you decide to go heathen?
- 2:01:14Thank you is my draw and pull to the sacred and that's this earth
- 2:01:25mother yard. The things we don't have to
- 2:01:30question or understand, they're provide to us, they offer what
- 2:01:39they do indiscriminately and that goes just as well as our
- 2:01:46well many friends and family members.
- 2:01:55So I. Poor fella.
- 2:02:04It's one of those nights. Yeah, Yeah.
- 2:02:06Just to answer your question there, Kevin, you know, I, I, I
- 2:02:11was in a, in a time in my life about a decade ago where, you
- 2:02:16know, my, my, my life lessons, everything that I was brought up
- 2:02:22in. I was, I was in a space or in a
- 2:02:25time where I was questioning a lot of things.
- 2:02:28The, the, the life, the path of my ancestors came to me through
- 2:02:32pop culture at the time, but it was, it was a seed.
- 2:02:34It was a seed that got planted and it forced me to investigate
- 2:02:38and learn more and and realize what the reality of this path
- 2:02:44was that it wasn't. The Internet gods do not agree
- 2:02:48with you, right? Now, but I'm bouncing back and
- 2:02:51forth, man. I'm like, all right, when he,
- 2:02:52when he drops off Dylan, you know it.
- 2:02:54Works out so thank you. But all my life I've been a
- 2:02:59black sheep and saying that I questioned things.
- 2:03:04I thought there's a greater purpose, a greater pool, a
- 2:03:07greater gravitation to each unique individual as who we are.
- 2:03:14So respectfully, I was raised as a Roman Catholic and then middle
- 2:03:20school, high school, started questioning things, advocating
- 2:03:22the Satanists. Well, terminology is very loose
- 2:03:26there. Jesse, I told you about this a
- 2:03:29few times, but I'll classify it as a spiritual Satanist.
- 2:03:33And ultimately though, that's what led me to the gods, cause
- 2:03:37spiritual Satanism wasn't about Satan, it was about Lucifer.
- 2:03:44It was about other archetypes. You know the Greek gods, you
- 2:03:48know the Roman gods, the Pagan gods, all the Mesopotamian gods,
- 2:03:53the cradle civilization before the world started.
- 2:03:57And that's where my heart truly lies, is before these became
- 2:04:02truly organized. And a lot of that can.
- 2:04:07So as myself, I've been born different before these became
- 2:04:11organized, but I'm still in that commercial state of developing
- 2:04:16and understanding myself. In fact, that really can
- 2:04:19coincide with a lot of us today and the past and the future.
- 2:04:24We're trying to figure things out.
- 2:04:26I try to figure myself out like, why was I Born This Way?
- 2:04:30Why is this happening the way it is?
- 2:04:33Again, these are questions I'm not asking myself, but we're all
- 2:04:36asking ourselves at some point or another.
- 2:04:39So anyways, already Long story short is I got the spiritual
- 2:04:45Satanism and then I eventually got to Norse paganism.
- 2:04:50Now this is back in like 2012 and I re entered into this path
- 2:04:58earnestly, wholeheartedly and late 2019.
- 2:05:04And you know like Blake what you were saying like watching
- 2:05:07Vikings experiencing Highline my first time and they share with
- 2:05:12them from a good friend of mine at the time.
- 2:05:16It just, it took us live and it just went from there.
- 2:05:21It just again going back to Highland reentry and Norse
- 2:05:26paganism. It's been nothing but a blessing
- 2:05:29without a doubt. And thank the God.
- 2:05:32So it's still part of this life right now, not getting kicked
- 2:05:35out. Just yet, but just.
- 2:05:36You know, we'll come and let's go.
- 2:05:38Ahead. Don't say it.
- 2:05:38Don't chase. It don't chase it.
- 2:05:41I still got, I still got listen, I still got comments that I'm
- 2:05:44trying to get from almost 30 minutes ago, guys.
- 2:05:46Sorry I. Just these four people.
- 2:05:47Walking over here yeah, Missouri or Misery or I believe, but
- 2:05:54thanks guys for. Yeah, we got to do, we got to
- 2:05:58do, you know, this is kind of it when, when we got people, you
- 2:06:00know, in different areas of the country.
- 2:06:03Thank you for sharing your, your origin stories.
- 2:06:05Patrick and Blake, real quick there Rebecca was asking, you
- 2:06:10know, like what rune books do you gentlemen read and which
- 2:06:13ones do you suggest? This is this is a topic that
- 2:06:16could be dedicated to a whole podcast or a whole thing without
- 2:06:19health. I have some that I can recommend
- 2:06:23to you, Rebecca. Again, my, my e-mail is
- 2:06:25midgardmusingstn@gmail.com. I actually did an interview with
- 2:06:30a guy who has one of my highly highest recommended books, one
- 2:06:36of which I own is called The Call Call of of the Runes, and
- 2:06:41the author's name is Walter Mcgrory MCGRORYI think you can
- 2:06:47find him on Amazon, but it's a Call of the Runes by Walter
- 2:06:50Mcgrory. The reason why I recommend it is
- 2:06:54because he, he goes into, into, into very detailed explanations
- 2:07:00of the etymology of the runic names in both the Norwegian,
- 2:07:08Icelandic and Anglo-Saxon rune poems, where these runes have
- 2:07:13been found in archaeological finds, the esoteric or magical
- 2:07:16meanings behind the runes, etcetera.
- 2:07:18It's a very it's, it's great for the the, the detailed or studied
- 2:07:23ruiner or ruinologist, but also for people that are just wanting
- 2:07:27to break the ice and find their way into rune study.
- 2:07:32It's it's readable, It's it's studyable.
- 2:07:34You can find a lot of good information.
- 2:07:36You can e-mail me if you want the link, but I'll try to come
- 2:07:38back after the live stream and post the link down in the
- 2:07:42comments after as well. If anybody has anything that you
- 2:07:48know that you want to say about rune books guys feel free to
- 2:07:52comment, but I'm going to try to breeze through these comments
- 2:07:54because we've been streaming live for a couple of hours and I
- 2:07:57want to try to I'm actually pretty soon here but.
- 2:08:01Yeah, with that said, I'm going to address you to specifically
- 2:08:07Blake. It's been a pleasure being part
- 2:08:12this live stream. With you.
- 2:08:14Oh yeah. Again, I don't know you're on a
- 2:08:16personal level if I'd like to, but hopefully.
- 2:08:19One day, hopefully one day, one day.
- 2:08:21Absolutely. But Jesse, I don't have to say
- 2:08:26it, but you know it. But out all you're watching this
- 2:08:30live stream. Thank you for supporting my
- 2:08:35brother. This man I've known for several
- 2:08:39years, He offers what he cans. He suffers just like all of us.
- 2:08:46We go through hard times, great, wonderful times.
- 2:08:50Even so, though, this man, he didn't ask me but in the
- 2:08:58comments after the fact, let's give some praise.
- 2:09:03A much needed love to this man to make this channel started
- 2:09:09despite his adversities, his setbacks and again celebrations
- 2:09:14too. Just his life.
- 2:09:16This man, he's come so far facing many adversities just
- 2:09:24like we do again, all who are watching right now, give some
- 2:09:29special love to this great man, my special brother who has
- 2:09:33helped me tremendously again and the best words of times and all
- 2:09:38you guys watching again, you could catch my link after this
- 2:09:43live stream. Join my group if you want to.
- 2:09:46But again, stay true to yourself.
- 2:09:50Keep challenging yourself asking those hard questions.
- 2:09:54And no, no question is stupid unless you don't ask it 'cause
- 2:09:58then you want to find the answer to it.
- 2:10:01Absolutely 'cause this'll get, this'll get aired on on the
- 2:10:04audio platforms too, you guys, you know, so, so for those that
- 2:10:07haven't watched this, if you're just listening to this for the
- 2:10:10first time, you know Patrick's group is going to be linked down
- 2:10:12below. Blake's social media over here
- 2:10:17is going to be linked also. Check them all out and thank
- 2:10:21you, Patrick for your kind words and thank you for the everybody
- 2:10:25that's that's here. I know, Patrick, if you're going
- 2:10:27to drop it is late on a Monday, you know, a lot of folks have to
- 2:10:30get up and work, myself included.
- 2:10:33I got I got, I got to be present at my at my day job.
- 2:10:35You know what I mean? Let's work.
- 2:10:38So I mean, I, I do want to just, you know, you don't have to
- 2:10:42stick around, but I am just going to kind of breeze through
- 2:10:44and thank you, Patrick, for your kind words.
- 2:10:46It is it is great. I appreciate it.
- 2:10:47And for everybody that's listening to this or watching
- 2:10:49this later on, you know, like check out Patrick's group guys,
- 2:10:53if if you're looking for a safe space, if you're on Facebook and
- 2:10:56you just you want to have a safe space that you can feel
- 2:10:59comfortable being yourself in Patrick's group is is a spot for
- 2:11:04you to be that it is Highland focused, obviously for for
- 2:11:09because of the name of the group, but it is not.
- 2:11:11Just Highline very laid back with that kind of thing because
- 2:11:14I have some very special AD meds and moderates for Sherry.
- 2:11:19Unrevelant information. But you know, it's just they
- 2:11:23they cry sometimes. We need some laughs and
- 2:11:26inspiration, some support. You know you come as you are.
- 2:11:29Absolutely. And thank you, Patrick, for
- 2:11:31creating that space for people to feel safe and, and
- 2:11:35comfortable to, to, to reveal their true selves in because
- 2:11:39it's a tough world out here, ladies and gentlemen, like we,
- 2:11:41we, we live in a time where it's, it's dicey.
- 2:11:45So to, to find a space where we can feel comfortable with our
- 2:11:48fellow people. It's appreciated.
- 2:11:50So thank you for doing what you do.
- 2:11:52Patrick well, thank you for the shout out, the acknowledgement
- 2:11:56and the the kind words I mean. Ultimately though, again, before
- 2:12:03I get off, I have to give thanks to Hailong, of course, a journey
- 2:12:11I started and never anticipate the results that I've gotten so
- 2:12:17far. Again, seeing them five times,
- 2:12:20hanging out them three times, and just meeting all the
- 2:12:24special, wonderful people in my life.
- 2:12:27And that coincides with any path we choose to follow earnestly
- 2:12:32with our good intentions and well deserve research and
- 2:12:37knowledge of what we choose to pursue.
- 2:12:41It's, it's imperative to know yourself and your intentions and
- 2:12:47again, before you could help anyone else.
- 2:12:49Again, I'm saying this to myself as well as anyone else who needs
- 2:12:52to hear this. You have to heal and help
- 2:12:55yourself for you're any good to anyone else.
- 2:12:59But again, keep fighting, keeping your true wonderful
- 2:13:05self, no matter how hard and amazing it is, just keeping you
- 2:13:12because ultimately that's all we can do.
- 2:13:15Just as as well as my brother Jesse and this, well, amazing,
- 2:13:21great man Blake, just keep being you 'cause that's what's Nick in
- 2:13:27this universe. This Nick guard that we all
- 2:13:31dwell in. Special the way it is.
- 2:13:35Yeah, it does. So that's that my friends, my
- 2:13:38brother, take it easy. Thank you, Patrick.
