  SPEAKER_00: This is Pastor Millie, and today I want to bring you a little study about the words in your mouth.

  SPEAKER_00: The words that come out of your mouth.

  SPEAKER_00: Because a lot of people don't realize that you can bless your environment or you can curse your environment.

  SPEAKER_00: There's many people that are stuck in negativity, and whatever you declare, the word of God says in Proverbs 18, verse 21, death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

  SPEAKER_00: And also in the word of God in Ephesians 4, chapter 4, verse 29, says, Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may be impart grace, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

  SPEAKER_00: And the word of God says in James 3, chapter 3, verse 10, out of the same mouth proceed the blessing and cursing.

  SPEAKER_00: My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we don't realize, but we get stuck on that negativity and we want to talk negative about everything.

  SPEAKER_00: And the words have power, they can even build up or they can tear down, they can bless you or they can curse you.

  SPEAKER_00: And as believers, we are called to you know speak life and truth, avoiding negativity that can harm ourselves and harm others.

  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we don't realize it, but for any little thing, we get stuck on the negativity.

  SPEAKER_00: And God is wanting you to be positive, speak positive, speak life into a dying situation.

  SPEAKER_00: The words that we say, words can shape our reality.

  SPEAKER_00: Complaining, gossip, and speaking negative about ourselves or others opens the door for discouragement and division because that's what it does.

  SPEAKER_00: When you start complaining so much, Israel's imagine this Israel's complaints in the wilderness, and we see that in the book of Numbers, chapter 14, 27 to 30.

  SPEAKER_00: Kept them from what the promised land.

  SPEAKER_00: You know, sometimes we gotta speak life over ourselves.

  SPEAKER_00: You know, we gotta speak life to anything that seems like if it's negative, start speaking life.

  SPEAKER_00: Words of self-doubt and negativity can hinder your growth.

  SPEAKER_00: Instead of declaring God's truth, you know what is God's truth for our life?

  SPEAKER_00: I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

  SPEAKER_00: And we know that it's in Psalm 139, verse 14.

  SPEAKER_00: I am who God says I am, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

  SPEAKER_00: Philippians 4.13.

  SPEAKER_00: And we have to avoid all those little seeds that may come in our ears on a constant daily basis that they come when there's many people that we need to shun, we need to remove out of our lives.

  SPEAKER_00: We need to tell them, listen, if this conversation is not gonna bless me, I don't want to hear it.

  SPEAKER_00: Because it comes like little seeds that go into your ears before you know they take root in your heart, in your mind, and there you go, the battlefield of the mind.

  SPEAKER_00: Because you start hearing the gossip, hearing the slander, and gossip harms relationships and brings division.

  SPEAKER_00: We see that in the book of Proverbs, chapter 16, verse 28.

  SPEAKER_00: So, before speaking about someone, ask yourself is this true?

  SPEAKER_00: Is it necessary?

  SPEAKER_00: Is it kind?
• 3:27
  SPEAKER_00: And we got to learn how to replace negativity with encouragement instead of complaining.

  SPEAKER_00: Give thanks, encourage one another.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, speak blessings over your life, over your family, over your ministry.

  SPEAKER_00: You know, sometimes we have to do a self-check, you know, we got to do uh a self-evaluation and and ask ourselves.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, is this good in the eyes of God?

  SPEAKER_00: Is this pleasing to God?

  SPEAKER_00: No, and if it's not pleasing to God, let it go.

  SPEAKER_00: Stop feeding it, stop complaining about it, stop doing things that instead of making you feel better and your spiritual growth is gonna decline, make you decline, make you feel like all things are falling apart.

  SPEAKER_00: And it's because from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

  SPEAKER_00: What are you speaking?

  SPEAKER_00: So sometimes we gotta do a self-check, be mindful of what you say throughout the day.

  SPEAKER_00: Are your words bringing life or destruction?

  SPEAKER_00: You know, ask God to help you guard your tongue and speak words that align with his will.

  SPEAKER_00: And every time you you are tempted to speak negative, replace it with a declaration of faith or gratitude.

  SPEAKER_00: See, our words matter.

  SPEAKER_00: If we want to talk and we want to walk in victory, we must train our tongues to speak life, to speak truth, and to encourage others.

  SPEAKER_00: Let us commit to using our words for God's glory.

  SPEAKER_00: That's the only way we're gonna find that peace.

  SPEAKER_00: Peace comes from God.

  SPEAKER_00: When you separate and you give yourself time with the things of God that matters and reading his word and getting rooted in him, I guarantee you there's no space for that negative to rain on you, for that negative to take root in you, because now you know how to fight your battles.

  SPEAKER_00: This is how we fight our battles.

  SPEAKER_00: We get connected, we get rooted, and we try to speak as much as we see the negativity around us, we start speaking life into that negative vibe that is trying to rise up against us.

  SPEAKER_00: And remember, if you can't find yourself speaking positive things, pray or ask someone to pray for you.
