- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:21Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the howgral energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday, Welcome back to another episode. I am beyond
- 0:32Speaker 1: happy going into today because the sun is shining, it's
- 0:36Speaker 1: eleven degrees, the snow is melting. Hearing that snow melt
- 0:39Speaker 1: brings me so much joy, so much excitement, And I
- 0:43Speaker 1: think we're all ready for a new season, Like I
- 0:45Speaker 1: am so ready to take on spring. I think March
- 0:48Speaker 1: just appearing has helped a lot of people, especially me,
- 0:53Speaker 1: included with knowing that we're days away from spring, We're
- 0:58Speaker 1: days away from summer. Were day away from just the
- 1:01Speaker 1: warmer weather and the better vibes. And I think it's
- 1:04Speaker 1: just usually the hardest two months in the beginning of
- 1:06Speaker 1: the year. January and February are always long and gloomy
- 1:10Speaker 1: and just I don't know, we're never feeling ourself. And
- 1:14Speaker 1: I feel like as soon as March it, I'm like,
- 1:16Speaker 1: oh my good Seasonal Trussian is finally leaving my body.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm finally feeling alive again. I feel like I'm inspired again.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I'm just feeling so much better already going into March,
- 1:27Speaker 1: and I'm sure a lot of you could probably feel
- 1:29Speaker 1: the same way. I wanted to make this episode all
- 1:31Speaker 1: about spring, of course, because we're entering a new season
- 1:33Speaker 1: this month. The excitement around spring obviously is on everyone's mind,
- 1:38Speaker 1: and I thought we could kind of talk about things
- 1:40Speaker 1: that I'm doing personally to kind of change up into
- 1:44Speaker 1: my day to day life. So just like habits that
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm taking into this new month ahead, as well as
- 1:49Speaker 1: goals that I have for myself this month, and by
- 1:52Speaker 1: chatting about the habits and goals that I set this month,
- 1:54Speaker 1: we'll hopefully inspire you to set new goals and habits
- 1:57Speaker 1: for yourself going into a new month and a new season.
- 2:00Speaker 1: And I also just want to talk about things that
- 2:02Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to this month, like things that we
- 2:04Speaker 1: have coming up and things that we can all get
- 2:07Speaker 1: excited about when it comes to spring. So I thought
- 2:09Speaker 1: it'd be the perfect time to kind of just chat
- 2:11Speaker 1: about things that I'm looking forward to before we get
- 2:14Speaker 1: into this episode. I always love to do a little
- 2:15Speaker 1: weekly catch up, and I feel like I haven't done
- 2:17Speaker 1: a little catch up in a while. But back update
- 2:20Speaker 1: because in the last episode I was talking a lot
- 2:22Speaker 1: about my injury and how I'm trying to become the
- 2:25Speaker 1: better version of myself again. And I have to say
- 2:29Speaker 1: that making the adjustments that I've made in my routine
- 2:32Speaker 1: within the last week or two has dramatically made a
- 2:36Speaker 1: huge difference in my pain and I'm feeling so much better.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I'm actually doing a lot of different things that I'm
- 2:42Speaker 1: actually going to chat about with things that I'm taking
- 2:44Speaker 1: into this month that I'm going to try and do
- 2:45Speaker 1: on a regular basis update on it all. I went
- 2:48Speaker 1: to my physio appointment on Monday. I got cleared to
- 2:51Speaker 1: get back into workouts gradually. I have not been cleared
- 2:53Speaker 1: to do Reformer. She is very concerned. She as in
- 2:57Speaker 1: my physio is that Reformer Plates is kind of what
- 3:00Speaker 1: triggered it to get to the point that it was,
- 3:03Speaker 1: which was obviously getting worse because of the type of
- 3:06Speaker 1: machine that you use on the Reformer. You know, if
- 3:09Speaker 1: you are a Reformer Plates girls, then you may know
- 3:11Speaker 1: that there are straps that you use to kind of
- 3:14Speaker 1: pull up your body weight use it for arm workouts,
- 3:18Speaker 1: et cetera. And the way my body was positioned was
- 3:21Speaker 1: my shoulders were like super high, so it was creating
- 3:24Speaker 1: tension in the muscle in my back, which is what
- 3:27Speaker 1: kind of triggered it to get worse. So that's kind
- 3:29Speaker 1: of like why I'm staying away from Reformer, and she
- 3:32Speaker 1: has approved me to do like oxygen classes or weighted
- 3:36Speaker 1: workouts from home, So I'm going to do that for
- 3:39Speaker 1: the next month, again, taking it day by day, super slow,
- 3:42Speaker 1: not going to rush into it, but just kind of
- 3:44Speaker 1: see how my body feels. Today I did a twenty
- 3:47Speaker 1: minute full body workout with ten pound dumbbells and I
- 3:50Speaker 1: feel great. I feel good, I don't feel sore. I'm
- 3:53Speaker 1: obviously doing my stretches and my strengthening workouts that she
- 3:56Speaker 1: gave me as well. So all in all, just an
- 3:58Speaker 1: update on my injury and feeling really really good, just
- 4:00Speaker 1: because I know a lot of you actually either commented
- 4:03Speaker 1: or messaged me about maybe an injury that you're going through,
- 4:06Speaker 1: and that it was really reassuring to hear that I'm
- 4:08Speaker 1: currently going through something similar. So just know that you're
- 4:11Speaker 1: not alone and that we're in this together, and that
- 4:14Speaker 1: it's okay if you're in a rough spot right now.
- 4:17Speaker 1: We're all trying to stay positive here and kind of
- 4:20Speaker 1: get through this injury phase that I'm currently going through.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And then my last little update for my weekly catchup
- 4:26Speaker 1: is my new house. We have windows, guys, we have
- 4:29Speaker 1: windows installed. They're starting to put the electrical in the
- 4:32Speaker 1: house right now, which I'm sure you can assume that
- 4:34Speaker 1: Zach is like so on it right now, like he
- 4:37Speaker 1: wants to go visit the house all the time just
- 4:38Speaker 1: to make sure that the electrical is all done correctly
- 4:42Speaker 1: and in the right spots because my husband's an electricians,
- 4:44Speaker 1: so he's very like, I don't know, wanting to be
- 4:47Speaker 1: on top of it. And it sucks because we don't
- 4:50Speaker 1: technically own the full house right now, if that makes sense,
- 4:53Speaker 1: Like because we bought with a new builder, they technically
- 4:56Speaker 1: own the house right now, not a so I haven't
- 4:58Speaker 1: been filming that much content for that race. Like I
- 5:00Speaker 1: usually get approved when I can go film content at
- 5:03Speaker 1: the new place, and they let me like kind of
- 5:06Speaker 1: go in and film a few clips and whatever the
- 5:08Speaker 1: case may be. So that's kind of why I can't
- 5:10Speaker 1: like constantly film updates and all that trust me. I
- 5:12Speaker 1: wish I could, but they all know that I'm on
- 5:15Speaker 1: social media, they all know that I'm an influencer, so
- 5:17Speaker 1: I'm just concerned that if I go too much and
- 5:19Speaker 1: share too much that they could penalize me. So I'm
- 5:23Speaker 1: just trying to stick to the rules and just get
- 5:24Speaker 1: them to give me permission when I can record. So
- 5:27Speaker 1: we do have a meeting coming up in a few weeks,
- 5:29Speaker 1: which is very exciting because I really want to film
- 5:31Speaker 1: a kind of like a walk through of the house
- 5:34Speaker 1: before they dry wallet, which is soon They're about to
- 5:37Speaker 1: dry all the house, which is absolutely crazy to me
- 5:39Speaker 1: how fast it's going by and this whole process. But
- 5:42Speaker 1: it's very exciting and I'm like so eager to get
- 5:44Speaker 1: in there and just share more content with you guys,
- 5:46Speaker 1: because I love that type of stuff. I love watching
- 5:48Speaker 1: house content. I find it so exciting. But a lot
- 5:50Speaker 1: of the time, for the girls that are filming a
- 5:51Speaker 1: lot of house content on their social media, it's probably
- 5:53Speaker 1: because they're renovating and own the house like solely themselves,
- 5:56Speaker 1: so they can obviously be in the house because they
- 5:58Speaker 1: own the property, Whereas for me, I'm like an owner
- 6:02Speaker 1: of the property, but like it's not officially closed until
- 6:04Speaker 1: my closing date, if that makes sense. So we're slowly
- 6:08Speaker 1: but surely sharing content and getting excited about the new house.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And yeah, I cannot wait to share more details with
- 6:14Speaker 1: you guys on that. Anyways, that's my little catchup and
- 6:17Speaker 1: just wanted to give you guys some updates on where
- 6:20Speaker 1: things are at. But let's get into this spring episode.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I really want to talk about things that we're leaving
- 6:26Speaker 1: behind in February and what we're taking into March and
- 6:29Speaker 1: this new season ahead. Okay, so let's go in with
- 6:32Speaker 1: the mindset of we're out with the old and we're
- 6:34Speaker 1: in with the new, Like we are going into a
- 6:36Speaker 1: new season. We want that positive energy, we want that
- 6:39Speaker 1: positive mindset. We're so over the winter blues, the negative
- 6:44Speaker 1: mindset that you may have had. I was one hundred
- 6:46Speaker 1: percent negative throughout the entire winter. I'm going to be
- 6:48Speaker 1: fully transparent. I really kind of did that to myself.
- 6:53Speaker 1: But also with me dealing with an injury, it was
- 6:55Speaker 1: hard to kind of like mentally be you know, stable,
- 7:00Speaker 1: sense of obviously I was stable, but you know what
- 7:01Speaker 1: I mean, Like I just wasn't being my positive old self,
- 7:04Speaker 1: and I had a really hard time, finding inspiration and
- 7:07Speaker 1: just like wanting to put myself out there through my job.
- 7:10Speaker 1: And that's really tough right when you're going through that,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and then you also have a job where you need to,
- 7:14Speaker 1: you know, be on camera all the time and show yourself,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and like you're not in the mental state of like
- 7:18Speaker 1: wanting to be your typical self that you usually are.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It's hard. It's very, very hard. So going into this month,
- 7:25Speaker 1: I'm really trying to embrace that new spring energy that
- 7:30Speaker 1: I want for myself, that positive energy that I want
- 7:33Speaker 1: for myself. Thinking about a new season makes me think
- 7:36Speaker 1: of again, new energy, new everything, Like everything just feels exciting,
- 7:41Speaker 1: it feels new. It makes me feel like I'm starting fresh,
- 7:44Speaker 1: and so I want to talk about things that I'm
- 7:47Speaker 1: bringing into March. So obviously that's kind of what I'm
- 7:50Speaker 1: leaving behind. I'm leaving behind that negative energy that I
- 7:52Speaker 1: didn't want for myself. I'm going in with the mindset
- 7:55Speaker 1: into this month that I want to have a positive mindset.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I want to go in with the intention of of
- 8:00Speaker 1: feeling fresh, feeling new again with a new season. So
- 8:03Speaker 1: I decided to set five goals slash habits for myself
- 8:07Speaker 1: going into this new month. First one being is taking
- 8:11Speaker 1: more breaks when it comes to work and workouts, almost
- 8:15Speaker 1: like realizing that it's okay to stop and put yourself
- 8:20Speaker 1: first and not make work or other things the main priority.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And I think that's hard for people who might be
- 8:27Speaker 1: like me, where they're very, very heavily involved with their
- 8:32Speaker 1: job and really love what they do, Like I truly
- 8:34Speaker 1: could do my job all day, all night, Like I
- 8:37Speaker 1: just I love what I do, right, And so when
- 8:40Speaker 1: you're in that position of when you want to work
- 8:42Speaker 1: all the time, you forget that, oh, I should probably
- 8:45Speaker 1: take a twenty five minute lunch break to myself, like
- 8:48Speaker 1: go make some lunch, go have some chill time, just
- 8:51Speaker 1: kind of like separate yourself from your phone or from
- 8:54Speaker 1: your computer or whatever you do for your work. And
- 8:56Speaker 1: I think people realize how important the breaks are and
- 9:00Speaker 1: that it can actually harm us if we're not slowing
- 9:04Speaker 1: down and realizing how important it is to do those breaks.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So one thing for me that I've actually included into
- 9:10Speaker 1: my routine is I set a sixty minute timer. So
- 9:14Speaker 1: I'll put a sixty minute timer on and once that
- 9:16Speaker 1: timer goes off, I get up. I either go for
- 9:19Speaker 1: a walk or I go downstairs, I put on a
- 9:21Speaker 1: twenty minute YouTube video and I get some cleaning around
- 9:24Speaker 1: the house done, or just kind of like organizing the house,
- 9:26Speaker 1: or I make myself lunch, like you know what I mean,
- 9:29Speaker 1: just kind of like taking that twenty minutes to myself
- 9:32Speaker 1: and doing something that doesn't involve sitting and staring at
- 9:34Speaker 1: a screen or just kind of doing nothing at all.
- 9:37Speaker 1: One thing that my physio kind of told me that
- 9:40Speaker 1: she wants me to do more is stand up more.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And so that's why I bring up like leaving your desk,
- 9:44Speaker 1: getting up, walking, doing something that involves not just sitting around.
- 9:48Speaker 1: But I did actually purchase myself a standing desk, so
- 9:51Speaker 1: I have a mini standing desk that I just put
- 9:53Speaker 1: beside my office desk. That way I can kind of
- 9:57Speaker 1: change spots. So if I'm like really dialed in with work,
- 9:59Speaker 1: and if you're someone that works from home like me
- 10:02Speaker 1: or has an office job, the standing desk is incredible.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Like I used it all day today and I love
- 10:10Speaker 1: being able to flip flop kind of like you know,
- 10:12Speaker 1: be at my computer, get work done, and then I
- 10:14Speaker 1: have my laptop on my standing desk and all my
- 10:16Speaker 1: work is actually synced on my laptop and on my
- 10:19Speaker 1: iMac that's all on the cloud, so I don't have
- 10:21Speaker 1: to stress about like making sure things are transferred over
- 10:24Speaker 1: to my laptop. Like everything's the same. So if I'm
- 10:27Speaker 1: working on something on my computer, I can easily just
- 10:29Speaker 1: pull it up on my laptop and get it done
- 10:31Speaker 1: at the standing desk. So I've made it a huge
- 10:34Speaker 1: priority to kind of take breaks and listen to my
- 10:37Speaker 1: body and not overdo it. And that also comes into
- 10:40Speaker 1: my workouts. So I used to be a huge workout girl,
- 10:44Speaker 1: as you guys know, like five times a week, maybe
- 10:46Speaker 1: six times a week, sometimes two workouts in a day.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I was really overdoing it this past summer, in this
- 10:51Speaker 1: past year, and I'm realizing that now. Okay, I am
- 10:55Speaker 1: realizing it now. I probably shouldn't have done that to myself.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I think I was putting myself in a very harmful
- 11:00Speaker 1: situation without even realizing it and not listening to my body.
- 11:03Speaker 1: And again, I love workouts. It's my source of therapy.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I'm sure a lot of you guys probably feel the
- 11:07Speaker 1: same way. But I'm trying to find ways to dial
- 11:11Speaker 1: it back by not obviously overdoing it. I'm trying to
- 11:14Speaker 1: create a new schedule a new routine. Like everything is
- 11:17Speaker 1: very new to me right now. I'm completely changing everything
- 11:20Speaker 1: that I typically would. I would never set a sixty
- 11:22Speaker 1: minute timer for myself. I would never take you know,
- 11:24Speaker 1: two to three breaks within the day. So again, I'm
- 11:26Speaker 1: really adjusting a lot of things, which is kind of
- 11:29Speaker 1: like a shock to the system, if that makes sense,
- 11:31Speaker 1: because you're having to like change everything, so it feels weird,
- 11:36Speaker 1: but like weird in a good way, if that makes sense. Like,
- 11:38Speaker 1: I know what I'm doing is for the right reasons,
- 11:40Speaker 1: and especially for me, who's someone that wants to, you know,
- 11:44Speaker 1: get pregnant, I really need to focus on dialing it
- 11:48Speaker 1: down and not overdo it because, you know, especially when
- 11:52Speaker 1: you're pregnant, Like I would love to work out while
- 11:53Speaker 1: I'm pregnant, but I also know that I can't be
- 11:56Speaker 1: working out like five to seven times a week, Like
- 11:58Speaker 1: that's just not the reality. So it's really just leaning
- 12:02Speaker 1: into the slower lifestyle and understanding that it's okay to
- 12:06Speaker 1: take breaks and that it's important to do so. And
- 12:10Speaker 1: you know, still working out three to four times a
- 12:11Speaker 1: week is amazing still, you know, taking those breaks for
- 12:15Speaker 1: yourself during your work days is important. So really just
- 12:18Speaker 1: kind of telling my body to slow down. This next
- 12:21Speaker 1: one also kind of goes into the slower lifestyle, and
- 12:24Speaker 1: that's working on calming my nervous system down. One thing
- 12:28Speaker 1: that my physio thinks is a big thing when it
- 12:32Speaker 1: came to my injury was my nervous system. And I
- 12:35Speaker 1: almost felt like that was an issue. Like I felt
- 12:38Speaker 1: like I knew that was a part of it, but
- 12:40Speaker 1: I didn't want to say that to myself without like
- 12:42Speaker 1: having someone else say it, if that makes sense. I
- 12:45Speaker 1: knew that when I got overly stressed, I was getting pain.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I knew that, you know, probably being super tight from
- 12:52Speaker 1: the stress didn't help with the injury. So the injury
- 12:55Speaker 1: was already there from working out, but I think it
- 12:56Speaker 1: got worse from me, you know, having heightened stress and
- 13:00Speaker 1: my nervous system not being calm and me kind of
- 13:03Speaker 1: like constantly going one hundred miles per hour and not
- 13:05Speaker 1: realizing that I need to slow down and kind of
- 13:07Speaker 1: manage my you know, job more effectively, whatever the case
- 13:10Speaker 1: may be. So really trying to work on finding ways
- 13:14Speaker 1: to calm my nervous system down is a big goal
- 13:16Speaker 1: for me this month. So using asana more, going to
- 13:19Speaker 1: hot pilates more. I kind of had a bit of
- 13:21Speaker 1: a conversation about it in the last episode about how
- 13:23Speaker 1: oxygen made me feel so good, like going to an
- 13:26Speaker 1: oxygen class, which is a heated workout class, and how
- 13:29Speaker 1: good I felt. So I want to keep doing that,
- 13:31Speaker 1: doing those heated workouts, maybe some hot yoga, you know.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I want to try and scroll less on my phone
- 13:38Speaker 1: and maybe read more. I've actually been debating on purchasing
- 13:42Speaker 1: the brick. I don't know if you guys have heard
- 13:43Speaker 1: of that. It's essentially a tool that allows you to
- 13:47Speaker 1: lock your phone, and it legitimately like puts your phone
- 13:50Speaker 1: in a brick mode, meaning like there's nothing you can do.
- 13:52Speaker 1: You can't even open it unless you like physically take
- 13:55Speaker 1: the brick off the phone. I think that's how it works.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I don't have one, so correct me if I'm wrong,
- 13:59Speaker 1: but I just heard something with this brick basically locking
- 14:01Speaker 1: the entire phone for like a certain period of time.
- 14:03Speaker 1: So it's like, Okay, you're on brick mode for three hours.
- 14:07Speaker 1: You can't you know, scroll on your phone, you can't
- 14:09Speaker 1: send text messages, you can't answer any phone calls. It's
- 14:11Speaker 1: fully just like dull, like it doesn't do anything, which
- 14:15Speaker 1: for me, I think would be really beneficial because even
- 14:17Speaker 1: when my phone's on, do not disturb. I do find
- 14:19Speaker 1: it helps obviously not seeing notifications come through and not
- 14:23Speaker 1: feeling eager to open my phone, but like, regardless, I
- 14:25Speaker 1: open my phone because I want to scroll, or it's
- 14:27Speaker 1: because I want to look on my social media platforms
- 14:29Speaker 1: and see, like, okay, what's going on, Like should I
- 14:32Speaker 1: be posting a video today? Whatever the case we need,
- 14:34Speaker 1: but I need to focus on putting my phone to
- 14:38Speaker 1: the side, especially like on weekends, like enjoying more time
- 14:41Speaker 1: with my husband and not like aimlessly scrolling. I bought
- 14:44Speaker 1: a puzzle for my husband and I a few weeks ago,
- 14:47Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be honest, we still haven't done it yet, Okay,
- 14:50Speaker 1: but this is the perfect opportunity for me to say, hey,
- 14:52Speaker 1: this is a perfect opportunity to not be on my phone,
- 14:56Speaker 1: not be watching TV and doing the puzzle. I think
- 14:59Speaker 1: that's a great sl activity, something to do together with
- 15:02Speaker 1: my husband. It's something that allows my mind to kind
- 15:05Speaker 1: of you know, work a little bit, but still adapting
- 15:08Speaker 1: that like calmer lifestyle, slower lifestyle. So yeah, I'm really
- 15:12Speaker 1: just trying to find ways to kind of calm my
- 15:15Speaker 1: nervous system down and really focus on destressing myself, and
- 15:19Speaker 1: by doing so, I really want to include those things
- 15:21Speaker 1: into my routine this month and really make it a
- 15:25Speaker 1: weekly non negotiable. Another goal that I have for March
- 15:29Speaker 1: and just Spring in general is getting out more and
- 15:31Speaker 1: being more social again. I want to see my friends again.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I want to be less of a homebody. I feel
- 15:37Speaker 1: like these past two months, I've literally locked myself up
- 15:40Speaker 1: in this house and I've avoided going out for dinners.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I've been avoiding, you know, people in general, and obviously
- 15:46Speaker 1: working from home to doesn't help. And for somebody who's
- 15:49Speaker 1: not going to work out classes, it's been very antisocial
- 15:52Speaker 1: and it's been very, very, very difficult. So my goal
- 15:56Speaker 1: this month is to make more plans with my friends,
- 15:59Speaker 1: doing friend days, you know, going outside for walks now
- 16:02Speaker 1: that it's actually nice out. You know, I'm going out
- 16:05Speaker 1: for dinner with my girlfriends tomorrow night, which I'm super
- 16:06Speaker 1: excited about. I'm going for a copy with my girlfriends
- 16:09Speaker 1: on Fridays. I'm making plans again. I'm getting out of
- 16:11Speaker 1: the house on the weekend. You know, Zach and I
- 16:14Speaker 1: are celebrating our anniversary, which is so exciting. We're celebrating
- 16:20Speaker 1: thirteen years, which is so crazy. So we're going out
- 16:22Speaker 1: for a nice dinner to celebrate our thirteen years together.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And we're also babysitting our niece. Me and Zach. We've
- 16:29Speaker 1: never actually babysitter just him and I, so it's kind
- 16:32Speaker 1: of like a test with a baby, which is kind
- 16:34Speaker 1: of fun. I mean, she's two, so she's not fully
- 16:36Speaker 1: a baby anymore, but it's going to be fun to
- 16:38Speaker 1: just like watch for him and I and just kind
- 16:40Speaker 1: of like get a feel of what it's going to
- 16:42Speaker 1: be like for parenthood. And anyways, so again, very exciting
- 16:47Speaker 1: first week of March. I'm doing things again. I'm getting
- 16:49Speaker 1: out of the house. And if you're that kind of
- 16:51Speaker 1: person like me, where like you really did become a
- 16:54Speaker 1: homebody these past two months and you had a hard
- 16:56Speaker 1: time leaving the house and you know, the winter blues
- 16:59Speaker 1: really got to you. This is your sign to make
- 17:02Speaker 1: plans with a friend, make plans with anyone. Really, just
- 17:05Speaker 1: get yourself out of the house. And it could be
- 17:07Speaker 1: as simple as a coffee date. It could be you know,
- 17:10Speaker 1: going for a walk. Like literally the easiest things ever,
- 17:13Speaker 1: it does not have to be a big thing going
- 17:16Speaker 1: out for dinner, as I said, like, it could also
- 17:18Speaker 1: be like they come to your house and you have
- 17:20Speaker 1: pizza together and wine and you have a super chill vibe.
- 17:23Speaker 1: And again, it's just more so seeing people socializing with
- 17:26Speaker 1: people I think is so so healthy and so great.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I don't know, I just I miss it so much.
- 17:33Speaker 1: So I'm very excited to plan more friend dates this
- 17:35Speaker 1: month and just be social again. Another habit that I've
- 17:39Speaker 1: taken back into my non negotiables on a daily basis
- 17:43Speaker 1: is journaling again. I've been really leaning into my journaling again.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I kind of took a break, which I feel like
- 17:48Speaker 1: it's a very common thing for people who love to
- 17:50Speaker 1: use a planner or a journal. I feel like I
- 17:52Speaker 1: always like sometimes need the break of like stepping aside,
- 17:55Speaker 1: but then I always come back. I always always come
- 17:58Speaker 1: back because it's always something that I want to make
- 18:00Speaker 1: a priority. I feel organized, I feel like I have
- 18:03Speaker 1: my shit together when I'm doing it. I love to
- 18:05Speaker 1: write out my thoughts. I love to remind myself what
- 18:07Speaker 1: I'm grateful for the things that I have, And I
- 18:09Speaker 1: don't know, it's just something that I find very therapeutic,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and I think I go through phases where I'm like
- 18:15Speaker 1: out of it and then I'm back in it. And
- 18:16Speaker 1: I think that's very normal to have that type of
- 18:20Speaker 1: wave of a relationship with the habits. So kind of
- 18:23Speaker 1: like if you're someone that you know might work out
- 18:26Speaker 1: constantly for a short period of time and then you
- 18:28Speaker 1: kind of take a really big break of not going
- 18:30Speaker 1: to that specific WORKO class anymore, and then you realize, oh,
- 18:32Speaker 1: you know what, I actually miss it. I want to
- 18:33Speaker 1: get back into it. You get back into it, you
- 18:35Speaker 1: feel good. So it's just like a thing for me
- 18:37Speaker 1: that I keep coming back to. But sometimes it's okay
- 18:40Speaker 1: to take breaks for it. And that's with journaling. So
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm getting back into it. I love it. I've been
- 18:45Speaker 1: also using it for my meal planning. I've been really
- 18:47Speaker 1: making meal planning a huge priority this month. I think
- 18:49Speaker 1: I talked about that in the last episode, but getting
- 18:52Speaker 1: back into healthy recipes, feeling inspired again of trying new
- 18:55Speaker 1: recipes out, you know, really just like locking in and
- 18:58Speaker 1: dialing in on e more food. And yeah, that's like
- 19:03Speaker 1: my biggest goal too for this month as well. And
- 19:06Speaker 1: then the last goal that I have taking into spring
- 19:08Speaker 1: and March is just kind of like updating my spring wardrobe,
- 19:12Speaker 1: finding more staple items that I want to include into
- 19:16Speaker 1: my wardrobe. I always think it's okay to kind of
- 19:18Speaker 1: like make modifications almost to your style or two things
- 19:24Speaker 1: that you have in your house. You know, I'm really
- 19:26Speaker 1: embracing the spring colors right now, which is what I
- 19:29Speaker 1: kind of wanted to talk about in the next part,
- 19:31Speaker 1: which is just like how colors make such a huge
- 19:33Speaker 1: impact in your mood. Like I was wearing yellow this weekend.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I found this yellow cardigan from H and M a
- 19:39Speaker 1: few weeks ago, and I haven't linked on my LTK
- 19:42Speaker 1: for anybody that wants to. It's currently sold out of
- 19:44Speaker 1: the one that I have, but they have a quarter
- 19:46Speaker 1: zip of the exact same one, which is like a
- 19:49Speaker 1: half zip versus a full zip. And it's such a
- 19:52Speaker 1: beautiful color. But it makes me feel so good wearing
- 19:55Speaker 1: like bright fun colors again, like blue, yellow, pink, like
- 20:00Speaker 1: feel alive again. So sometimes it's okay to, yeah, just
- 20:04Speaker 1: like update your spring wardrobe if you feel the need
- 20:07Speaker 1: to do so, which brings me into the next topic
- 20:09Speaker 1: I wanted to talk about, which is things that I'm
- 20:11Speaker 1: looking forward to for the spring, so one of them
- 20:14Speaker 1: being spring colors and being able to incorporate it into
- 20:18Speaker 1: either my wardrobe or my home decor. So as I said,
- 20:21Speaker 1: like I love yellow, I love baby blue, I love
- 20:24Speaker 1: baby pink. And for like home decor things, I actually
- 20:28Speaker 1: went to home Sense this past week. And that's also
- 20:31Speaker 1: something that I always love to do whenever it's a
- 20:33Speaker 1: new season, even if it's just like getting a few
- 20:36Speaker 1: little things like I got these really cute tea towels
- 20:39Speaker 1: for my kitchen. I got like this really nice green
- 20:43Speaker 1: and white print that I love. I got these beautiful
- 20:46Speaker 1: yellow mugs. I'm obsessed with them. They're the perfect tea
- 20:49Speaker 1: mug in my opinion. And again it's just like little
- 20:52Speaker 1: things that bring me excitement and joy. And I also
- 20:56Speaker 1: got these beautiful pink fake flowers, which looks so realistic
- 21:00Speaker 1: to me. Put them on my dining table with this
- 21:03Speaker 1: beautiful beige Stecco pot, and again, just like doing that
- 21:06Speaker 1: made me feel so good. It brought little joys into
- 21:10Speaker 1: my home, brought some excitement, it brought some color into
- 21:13Speaker 1: the house, and yeah, I think that really helps getting
- 21:17Speaker 1: out of the like that seasonal depression feeling like just
- 21:19Speaker 1: kind of doing those little things that brighten up the
- 21:22Speaker 1: home or breaking up the space, or again wearing fun colors.
- 21:25Speaker 1: It just kind of like makes you feel alive again.
- 21:28Speaker 1: And these are things that are romanticizing your life. Like
- 21:31Speaker 1: this is the perfect example of why people should romanticize
- 21:34Speaker 1: your life, is doing these little things that you know
- 21:37Speaker 1: people might say like, oh, yeah, if you buy this
- 21:39Speaker 1: and if you put this out on your counter, like
- 21:42Speaker 1: you'll feel good. Like I have to be honest, it's
- 21:43Speaker 1: the truth. Like doing those things like wearing spring colors,
- 21:47Speaker 1: embracing the spring season, romanticizing it, like, it does work
- 21:51Speaker 1: and it does lift your mood. Speaking for myself of
- 21:54Speaker 1: someone who was literally feeling awful the entire two months
- 21:57Speaker 1: of winter and now going into a new month and
- 21:59Speaker 1: feeling way more energized and feeling way more excited. I'm
- 22:02Speaker 1: putting in the effort by romanticizing my life by doing
- 22:06Speaker 1: those little things, and I feel like it just like
- 22:07Speaker 1: makes a huge difference. Other things I'm looking forward to
- 22:10Speaker 1: is going on outdoor walks again. Guys. I'm so excited.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I'm actually going to walk Friday right after I record
- 22:16Speaker 1: this episode for like forty minutes, and I'm so excited.
- 22:19Speaker 1: It's like ten degrees out today, which it has not
- 22:22Speaker 1: been ten degrees and like I don't know how long,
- 22:24Speaker 1: And I'm so excited to have the long outdoor walks again,
- 22:28Speaker 1: just seeing the snow melt, you know, the warmer days
- 22:31Speaker 1: are coming, and just like setting the mood with either
- 22:35Speaker 1: like making a nice coffee, listening to a podcast, or
- 22:38Speaker 1: you know, putting on your favorite playlist, like getting those
- 22:41Speaker 1: vibes again are going to be so healing. And I'm
- 22:45Speaker 1: so birking excited. As much as I love my walking pad,
- 22:49Speaker 1: she has done such wonders to me, honestly these past
- 22:53Speaker 1: few months with the winter season, and again, I will
- 22:55Speaker 1: still use it, you know, watching TV or reading or whatever, like,
- 22:59Speaker 1: I still love to use it and I will include
- 23:00Speaker 1: it into my routine every single day. But walking outside
- 23:03Speaker 1: again in the summer will be the best thing ever.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'm literally so excited, and yeah, it's just so therapeutic.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Anything with flowers right now again brings me so much
- 23:14Speaker 1: joy and excitement. I just bought these fake flowers from
- 23:16Speaker 1: home sense that I love. But you could also get
- 23:18Speaker 1: into the habit of purchasing fresh flowers like tulips, and
- 23:22Speaker 1: this could be like a bi weekly thing. Zach got
- 23:25Speaker 1: me flowers the other day, which was very kind of him,
- 23:28Speaker 1: and it just feels really nice to have some fresh
- 23:31Speaker 1: flowers in the house. So especially during the time of
- 23:34Speaker 1: the year in the summer, I just feel like I
- 23:36Speaker 1: always make the effort of like purchasing some bouquets the
- 23:40Speaker 1: odd time and putting it in the house, and it
- 23:42Speaker 1: just feels really nice. And again that fresh feeling, that
- 23:45Speaker 1: new feeling, that excitement of going into the warmer days
- 23:50Speaker 1: is just always so exciting. Doing a bit of a
- 23:52Speaker 1: spring clean or organizing also feels really good during this
- 23:56Speaker 1: time of the year. I am actually doing a big
- 24:00Speaker 1: bring cleaning starting this weekend. So Zach and I actually
- 24:04Speaker 1: rented a storage unit for the move of our new house.
- 24:08Speaker 1: We're starting to buy furniture and buy things for the
- 24:11Speaker 1: new place, which is so exciting, but we have nowhere
- 24:14Speaker 1: to store it, so we needed to rent a storage
- 24:19Speaker 1: unit for the time being so we can start putting
- 24:21Speaker 1: the new stuff in there. And we're going to also
- 24:25Speaker 1: go through the house and start storing stuff in storing bin,
- 24:28Speaker 1: so almost kind of like prepping for a move, but
- 24:31Speaker 1: also kind of cleaning things out and things that we're
- 24:33Speaker 1: not using currently or things like that we would typically
- 24:36Speaker 1: use like in the colder winter days that we're not
- 24:39Speaker 1: needing right now, we can start packing it up and
- 24:41Speaker 1: start putting it in the storage room and just kind
- 24:43Speaker 1: of get it out of the house. So it's going
- 24:44Speaker 1: to feel really good just to kind of like deep
- 24:47Speaker 1: clean and organize each space of the house. And also
- 24:49Speaker 1: I plan on organizing my closet. I usually do kind
- 24:52Speaker 1: of like a closet inventory for each season. So with
- 24:55Speaker 1: it being spring and we're getting near the end of winter,
- 24:59Speaker 1: you know, typically all bring out my like lighter and
- 25:02Speaker 1: warmer clothes, things that I would you know, typically wear,
- 25:05Speaker 1: like my trench coats, my lighter jackets, and then like
- 25:07Speaker 1: all my heavier ones I can kind of like put
- 25:10Speaker 1: to the side or store it not needing it obviously
- 25:13Speaker 1: with the warmer weather coming. So I do always love
- 25:16Speaker 1: to do a bit of a like a reevaluation of
- 25:19Speaker 1: my closet and making sure that the things that I
- 25:21Speaker 1: would actually wear for this type of weather I can
- 25:24Speaker 1: adjust and then figure out, Okay, what do I need.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Do I need more t shirts, do I need more basics,
- 25:31Speaker 1: more jackets, whatever the case av So it's kind of
- 25:33Speaker 1: a good way to also see like what you need
- 25:35Speaker 1: to purchase and what you don't need to purchase. It's
- 25:37Speaker 1: actually saving you money in a way, so or it's
- 25:40Speaker 1: making you spend more money, one of the two. But
- 25:43Speaker 1: it does feel really good just to kind of like
- 25:44Speaker 1: do a bit of a spring clean going into the
- 25:47Speaker 1: spring season. I'm also very much looking forward to opening
- 25:51Speaker 1: the sun roof again, going on sunset drives, you know,
- 25:54Speaker 1: listening to music this again is very therapeutic to me.
- 25:58Speaker 1: And also the fact that the sun is rising at
- 26:00Speaker 1: seven am. Guys, can we talk about that for a second.
- 26:04Speaker 1: That has probably been the most healing experience is waking
- 26:06Speaker 1: up at like six thirty. You know, it's still a
- 26:09Speaker 1: little dark. But then like literally as soon as I
- 26:11Speaker 1: open my windows by like six forty five, six fifty,
- 26:14Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, the sun. The sun is
- 26:17Speaker 1: rising by seven o'clock. When I'm downstairs in my kitchen,
- 26:20Speaker 1: everything is bright, Everything is not dark. It doesn't feel gloomy.
- 26:25Speaker 1: So the fact that the sun is rising at seven
- 26:27Speaker 1: am is amazing, and that the sun is now setting
- 26:29Speaker 1: at like what six six thirty, Like wow, wow, wow, wow,
- 26:34Speaker 1: that to me just brings me so much joy. Is
- 26:36Speaker 1: not feeling like I'm in a dark, gloomy house anymore.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Like the fact that I'm cooking dinner and it's still
- 26:42Speaker 1: light outside is music to my ears and it does
- 26:45Speaker 1: feel really really good. But those are things that I'm
- 26:47Speaker 1: looking forward to. I am very very excited for spring,
- 26:50Speaker 1: and I would love if you left to comment down
- 26:52Speaker 1: below of what you're looking forward to this season or
- 26:55Speaker 1: things that just bring you joy during this time of
- 26:58Speaker 1: the year. I think we're all ready to take on
- 27:00Speaker 1: a new season and we're really starting to see the
- 27:03Speaker 1: excitement out of it. And I think we're all starting
- 27:06Speaker 1: to get out of our seasonal depression and we're just
- 27:08Speaker 1: feeling alive again, which is so so exciting. And then
- 27:11Speaker 1: the last two things that I wanted to talk about
- 27:13Speaker 1: about things that I'm looking forward to is kind of
- 27:15Speaker 1: specific for me personally, But Zach is turning thirty this month,
- 27:20Speaker 1: which is very exciting thirtieth birthday. And guys, I actually
- 27:25Speaker 1: have a whole trip that I'm surprising him with, just
- 27:27Speaker 1: a little weekend trip, nothing crazy. He has no idea
- 27:30Speaker 1: that this is happening, so I really hope he's not
- 27:32Speaker 1: listening to this episode because he doesn't even know that
- 27:34Speaker 1: I literally had to contact his boss take time off
- 27:37Speaker 1: for him. You know, I purchased flight tickets like everything,
- 27:42Speaker 1: Like he has no idea this is happening at all.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Like I fully just like went in with like, you know,
- 27:47Speaker 1: girl boss mode, like let's just get this guy having
- 27:50Speaker 1: the best, you know, thirtieth. And he really did not
- 27:53Speaker 1: want to party. I was going to throw him a party,
- 27:55Speaker 1: a surprise party, but he's like, Nope, I don't want that.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, that's fine, I will still do something.
- 28:00Speaker 1: He's like, oh, don't do anything. He's that kind of
- 28:02Speaker 1: guy where he's like, I'm not a birthday guy, like,
- 28:04Speaker 1: please don't make it a big deal. And I'm like,
- 28:06Speaker 1: it's your freakin thirtieth. I'm making it a big deal.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I'm making this like my top priority this month. So
- 28:12Speaker 1: I booked a little vacation with him. So I'm very
- 28:15Speaker 1: excited to surprise him with that. And that's something I'm
- 28:18Speaker 1: very much looking forward to. I'm looking forward to celebrating
- 28:20Speaker 1: our thirteen years, which is so wild. That's something I'm
- 28:24Speaker 1: looking forward to this month. And then yeah, that's kind
- 28:28Speaker 1: of it, like just focusing on that, and next month
- 28:32Speaker 1: is my thirtieth which is so wild. Guys, thirty, I'm
- 28:36Speaker 1: gonna be thirty. That is so wild. I can't believe that.
- 28:39Speaker 1: But anyways, lots of excitement and things to look forward to,
- 28:43Speaker 1: but I think I'm gonna end this episode off here.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Thank you guys so much for listening to another episode.
- 28:48Speaker 1: If you're new, definitely make sure to follow me Kayleie.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I'm on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. You can also follow
- 28:55Speaker 1: my at the Hawkcrow Energy Instagram page. I love you
- 28:57Speaker 1: guys also much. Thank you guys for listening to you
- 29:00Speaker 1: another episode. I hope you guys have the most amazing
- 29:03Speaker 1: week and the most amazing weekend, and I will see
- 29:05Speaker 1: you guys in next week's episode
