1:54
SPEAKER_01: They're going what?
1:55
SPEAKER_01: Subboarding on this on the springs at the springs.
1:59
SPEAKER_01: You know, you know, you know what a subboard is, right?
2:02
SPEAKER_01: Never never heard those words.
2:04
SPEAKER_01: Is that one word?
2:06
SPEAKER_01: Stand-up paddle board.
2:07
SPEAKER_01: S UP.
2:08
SPEAKER_01: Stand up paddle board.
2:11
SPEAKER_00: Wow, okay.
2:12
SPEAKER_00: I've I've I've heard of I've just never heard the shortened.
2:16
SPEAKER_01: Well, I guess it's probably big because there's so many springs around here.
2:20
SPEAKER_01: So we you blow them up, they're they're inflatable, they're really tough inflatables.
2:24
SPEAKER_01: When they're blown up, it just feels like fiberglass, but they're super lightweight because they're they're they're inflatable.
2:30
SPEAKER_01: And um, and then you you inflate them up, and then you you you basically stand up on them and paddle down the rivers, and uh it's pretty fun.
2:41
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
2:42
SPEAKER_00: Well that's that sounds fun.
2:45
SPEAKER_01: They're big, they're like twice as big as uh as a as a surfboard, so and they're and and they're uh and that you can sit on them.
2:53
SPEAKER_01: You can get two people on each one if you want.
2:55
SPEAKER_01: Wow.
2:56
SPEAKER_01: So anyway, yeah.
2:59
SPEAKER_01: It's good life hack, you know, like go when it's hot, go to the springs.
3:03
SPEAKER_01: It's good good life hack.
3:05
SPEAKER_00: Sounds like it would be hard to stand up on, like you have to kind of really balance.
3:10
SPEAKER_01: Well, they're really big though.
3:11
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you do have to have a wide stance, and um, but you know, I don't have I don't have a problem, and I'm like, I'm not even very uh but I I usually sit down the whole time.
3:24
SPEAKER_01: I have a little seat and then I just paddle like I'm on a big flat canoe, you know.
3:30
SPEAKER_01: Right flat surfboard, you know.
3:32
SPEAKER_01: Right, all right.
3:33
SPEAKER_01: That sounds that sounds fun.
3:36
SPEAKER_01: It's nice, man.
3:37
SPEAKER_01: You should look it up on the internet of things.
3:39
SPEAKER_00: On the internets, why don't you send me photos?
3:42
SPEAKER_00: Send me photos.
3:43
SPEAKER_00: All right, I'll send you photos, and then you can send photos to our fans.
3:47
SPEAKER_00: What what what's your life hack?
3:49
SPEAKER_00: What's your life hack?
3:50
SPEAKER_00: That's my life hack.
3:51
SPEAKER_00: Here's my life hack.
3:51
SPEAKER_00: My life hack.
3:52
SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is gonna okay.
3:54
SPEAKER_00: So um, I as you know, I've been around the world multiple times.
3:58
SPEAKER_00: And when I was in British Virgin Islands, BVI, I uh I noticed we noticed that every it was just so friendly, everyone was so friendly.
4:11
SPEAKER_00: And um, and uh everyone's you know, good morning, good morning, good morning.
4:18
SPEAKER_00: And so we were asking our you know, kind of our guide there, um, like what's what's going on?
4:27
SPEAKER_00: Why why is it why is what's you know, why is everyone so friendly?
4:31
SPEAKER_00: And he said, well, one thing I can tell you is um when I was a kid, uh I went to the store, and then when I came home, my grandmother was standing there waiting for me.
4:47
SPEAKER_00: And I guess what happened is another grandmother called his grandmother and said, little Billy did not say good morning to the store owner, and and he had to go back and say good morning.
5:08
SPEAKER_00: Really?
5:09
SPEAKER_00: Where was this?
5:09
SPEAKER_00: Where where were you?
5:10
SPEAKER_00: British Virgin Islands, BVI.
5:13
SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's cute.
5:15
SPEAKER_00: And so um so when I got back to the States the the next morning, I said, All right, I'm gonna try it.
5:23
SPEAKER_00: So every person that I met, you know, came in contact with as I'm going to work.
5:30
SPEAKER_00: I looked them straight in the eye and I said, like, good morning, and I meant it.
5:36
SPEAKER_00: And I'm telling you, I did it this morning.
5:38
SPEAKER_00: It just changed things.
5:41
SPEAKER_00: Not drastically, not saving the world, but it was a simple thing that just kind of like made you feel better.
5:50
SPEAKER_00: It brings you into the moment, it sounds like and maybe it it made them feel better.
5:55
SPEAKER_00: Like some of them were looked at me like, oh, wait, you're saying good morning to me, like it was an odd thing.
6:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
6:01
SPEAKER_00: So say good morning to everyone you come in contact with tomorrow morning, satchel, and then you tell me how it went.
6:08
SPEAKER_00: And and then so that was that's the that's the actual life hack.
6:13
SPEAKER_00: It's just simply I'm gonna try it.
6:15
SPEAKER_00: I'll try it.
6:16
SPEAKER_00: Say good morning to people you wouldn't normally say it to, you know, like and look them in the eye, and look them in the eye, and and you know, and mean it.
6:24
SPEAKER_00: Um and and and but here's the other part that I thought was interesting is in B it it in BVI grandmas kind of run the show.
6:38
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
6:38
SPEAKER_00: And they they that's a good thing, they talk to each other, they're they're you know important voices in the community.
6:48
SPEAKER_00: Um, they know what's going on.
6:51
SPEAKER_00: And part of me thinks like, we need grandmas to run the show, grandmas and grandpas to kind of run the show a little bit.
6:59
SPEAKER_00: Well, sometimes they they they are you know sometimes they get a little cognitively uh well sure.
7:07
SPEAKER_01: I'm uh you have to pick the right ones to run the show, but um but you know, uh I just think it it's always nice when there's this a group of grandparents that are like that the children get to interact with, not just necessarily their own in isolation.
7:26
SPEAKER_00: Well, but think about how wise they are, they've been through things, they they still love you, but they they can be hard on you, you know.
7:33
SPEAKER_00: Um you know, I I I just think that that would that's a it's a forgotten superpower that we have as a society, which is the grandparents.
7:45
SPEAKER_00: Okay, we got to wrap it up.
7:46
SPEAKER_00: That was it.
7:47
SPEAKER_00: Oh no, no, I I'm looking at the wrong time.
7:49
SPEAKER_00: We got 10 seconds.
7:51
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so now you wrap it up, and then you you're gonna do this life half.
