- 0:53Speaker 1: the always entertaining lane, Kiffin. We've got a high school
- 0:56Speaker 1: report coming up in this hour. We're gonna be joined
- 1:00Speaker 1: by author Kent hacking Lively. His book is called Catastrophic Disclosure,
- 1:07Speaker 1: Deep State Aliens and the Truth. Oh yeah, you're gonna
- 1:12Speaker 1: be wanting to stay tuned for this. And today is
- 1:17Speaker 1: the forty seventh anniversary of Jonestown. To many of you,
- 1:24Speaker 1: that kind of sends a shiver. I'm going to replay
- 1:28Speaker 1: an interview I did with one of our favorite authors,
- 1:31Speaker 1: Jeff Gwynn, who wrote a book called The Road to Jonestown,
- 1:35Speaker 1: and we're going to talk a little bit about that
- 1:39Speaker 1: horror and tragedy in the second hour, and we'll have
- 1:43Speaker 1: some thoughts on Bonfire twenty six years later as well.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Aggie Basketball Tonight, rit Arena. The Montana Grizzly are in
- 1:53Speaker 1: town A. Him is two and two on the season.
- 1:57Speaker 1: The grizz are four and one one.
- 2:01Speaker 4: That tip off is at seven o'clock.
- 2:03Speaker 1: You can hear the game on our partner station sixteen
- 2:07Speaker 1: twenty wta W. Elsewhere in the sc Radford in South Carolina,
- 2:19Speaker 1: Winthrop and Arkansas, Alcorn State and LSU Austin Pete. This
- 2:25Speaker 1: sounds like this weekend's football schedule in the SEC Austin
- 2:29Speaker 1: p and Aole Miss Rider at Texas. And there's actually
- 2:38Speaker 1: a really good game. It's Kentucky and Michigan State, two
- 2:43Speaker 1: good teams in the Champions Classic in New York, New York.
- 2:48Speaker 1: That will be also Kansas and Duke in the second game,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but Duke's top freshman beg your pardon, Kansas top freshman
- 3:00Speaker 1: and the number one presumptive pick in the NBA draft,
- 3:04Speaker 1: Darren Peterson, won't play because of a hamstring injury. Bill
- 3:12Speaker 1: self said he will be reevaluated at the end.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Of the week.
- 3:19Speaker 1: So yeah, the Duchies obviously have lots of talent with
- 3:24Speaker 1: the Boozer brothers Peterson, but Peterson won't be playing in
- 3:31Speaker 1: the game this evening. Navy and North Carolina are playing.
- 3:37Speaker 4: That's enough.
- 3:38Speaker 1: The Lombardi Committee announced it's four finalists, including Cashus Howel,
- 3:45Speaker 1: Texas A and M and two Texas Tech defenders Jacob Rodriguez,
- 3:50Speaker 1: the linebacker David Bailey, along with University of Alabama offensive
- 3:54Speaker 1: tackle Caden Proctor. The fifty second Barty Award will be
- 4:01Speaker 1: handed out in Houston on December tenth. Marcel Reid was
- 4:07Speaker 1: the Davy O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week for engineering
- 4:12Speaker 1: the second half comeback.
- 4:16Speaker 5: I've got.
- 4:17Speaker 4: We talked about this with the writers last night.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Bit of mixed emotions because he was terrible in the
- 4:23Speaker 1: first half, right, but he.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Was pretty good in the second half.
- 4:28Speaker 1: He had four hundred and fifty two total yards in
- 4:31Speaker 1: the second half. He threw for almost three bills, sixteen
- 4:35Speaker 1: of twenty and three touchdowns. So I'm thinking the Davy
- 4:40Speaker 1: O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week award is for his
- 4:43Speaker 1: second half on this past Saturday. And don't forget Caleb.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Do you know Samford's mascot Bulldogs. They're the Bulldogs, just
- 4:56Speaker 1: like the Georgia Bulldogs. Okay, the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose
- 5:03Speaker 1: Award National Player of the Week. Kewan Lacy from Old
- 5:07Speaker 1: Miss thirty one carries two hundred and twenty four yards
- 5:12Speaker 1: and three touchdowns. Lacy went to Lancaster in South Dallas.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Speaking of Kiffin, you know reports have emerged of an
- 5:24Speaker 1: ultimatum he's been issued by the Ole Miss Powers that be.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Kiffin was on Pat McAfee and we're going to hear
- 5:33Speaker 1: him in about less than ten minutes. That's absolutely not true.
- 5:39Speaker 1: He told McAfee. There's been no ultimatum, deadline, maybe anything
- 5:46Speaker 1: like that at all. I don't know where that came from.
- 5:49Speaker 1: A lot of stuffs out there. Like I said, we're
- 5:52Speaker 1: having a blast. I love it here. But he has
- 5:55Speaker 1: not signed his contract extension that he's been offered, and
- 6:01Speaker 1: he has not yet made a decision if he's going
- 6:05Speaker 1: or he's staying. A private capital plan that would infuse
- 6:10Speaker 1: almost two and a half billion dollars into the Big
- 6:12Speaker 1: Ten Coffers has been paused because league members Michigan and
- 6:17Speaker 1: USC don't want to do it.
- 6:20Speaker 4: You See Investments.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Announced that it would wait for quote unity among the conference.
- 6:25Speaker 1: The plan called for the league to spin off a
- 6:28Speaker 1: new entity, Big Ten Enterprises, which would house all league
- 6:33Speaker 1: wide media rights and sponsorships deals in exchange for a
- 6:40Speaker 1: ten percent stake in that investment. The deal would extend
- 6:45Speaker 1: the league's grant of rights in additional ten years.
- 6:48Speaker 4: The two point four.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Billion would be distributed to league schools on a tier basis,
- 6:56Speaker 1: with everyone receiving at least one hundred million. It's it's
- 7:02Speaker 1: a good thing that this is amateur sports. Jose Altuve
- 7:08Speaker 1: underwent what's being called a minor procedure to address an
- 7:12Speaker 1: ailment on his right foot. Manager Joe Espada today did
- 7:17Speaker 1: not provide specifics. We got a little bit of work
- 7:21Speaker 1: done trying to clean the area. MLB dot Com report
- 7:25Speaker 1: at al Tuove had a skin aspiration to remove fluid.
- 7:30Speaker 4: He's doing well.
- 7:31Speaker 1: He should be back moving around and continuing his off
- 7:35Speaker 1: season workouts here in the next week or two.
- 7:42Speaker 4: So we got that going on for us, which is nice.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Let's see tomorrow we'll have Aggie basketball postgame. Scott Clindenon
- 7:53Speaker 1: will be here, Mallory will be with us tomorrow. We'll
- 7:57Speaker 1: have our Clark Eisenhower outdoor addition on Thursday, and on Friday,
- 8:05Speaker 1: Kirk Bowles, Tony Catalina and whatever else on air, Ryan
- 8:10Speaker 1: has decided to put together all right, O Caleb, you're
- 8:14Speaker 1: on this week.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Okay, don't screw it up.
- 8:18Speaker 1: What's what's the mantra of Friday?
- 8:24Speaker 4: And the second one?
- 8:26Speaker 1: Make sure all the commercials get played right, That's really
- 8:29Speaker 1: the number one thing. Make sure all the commercials get
- 8:33Speaker 1: played all right. We're going to take a break. We're
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna hear from Lane Kiffen with Pat McAfee after the
- 8:41Speaker 1: final lap. Brought to you by and Co Insurance.
- 8:45Speaker 6: Inco Insurance is now a part of Hub International, bringing
- 8:49Speaker 6: you more choices, better value, and even greater expertise.
- 8:52Speaker 7: While our name has changed, we're.
- 8:54Speaker 6: Still the same local team you know and trust, now
- 8:56Speaker 6: with even more to offer, from business insurance to personal
- 8:59Speaker 6: protection and employee benefits. We're still committed to protecting what
- 9:02Speaker 6: matters most with the personalized service you expect now with
- 9:06Speaker 6: the strength of Hub International behind us, more resources, more solutions,
- 9:10Speaker 6: still your team and co Insurance a Hub International company,
- 9:14Speaker 6: So you're ready for tomorrow.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Well, Kyle Larson is looking ahead to the Daytona five hundred.
- 9:21Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't know.
- 9:21Speaker 9: I mean, I think it doesn't really to me matter,
- 9:24Speaker 9: you know how the beginning of my year kind of
- 9:26Speaker 9: goes because to me, like Chili Wallways feels like the
- 9:28Speaker 9: end of the year. Yeah, it's obviously a race that
- 9:31Speaker 9: I would really like to win someday, but I don't
- 9:33Speaker 9: treat it. I try not to treat it indifferently than
- 9:35Speaker 9: any other race, you know, put the same amount of
- 9:37Speaker 9: focus in as others, and I think as I've gained
- 9:40Speaker 9: more experience, it doesn't feel any bigger than the other races.
- 9:43Speaker 9: I think, you know, kind of like I said, you
- 9:45Speaker 9: just treat it the same, and I think you go
- 9:47Speaker 9: in with less, not that I ever have nerves, but
- 9:50Speaker 9: anticipation of what might happen and stuff. So, yeah, I
- 9:52Speaker 9: feel like we've improved a.
- 9:54Speaker 10: Lot on Super Speedways as well.
- 9:55Speaker 9: I feel like we're contending, you know, throughout the most
- 9:59Speaker 9: parts of the race. Your ends of the stages into
- 10:01Speaker 9: the race hasn't quite worked out. But I think if
- 10:04Speaker 9: you can keep putting yourself in contention, it'll it'll work
- 10:06Speaker 9: out someday hopefully. So yeah, we'll keep trying our best
- 10:09Speaker 9: and hopefully we can get that last crown jewel.
- 10:11Speaker 11: And the playoffs could be changing for twenty twenty six.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Here's Kyle with more.
- 10:15Speaker 12: You know, if I.
- 10:16Speaker 9: Could recreate the format, what I would make it. I
- 10:18Speaker 9: think there's probably pros and cons to every format. You know,
- 10:22Speaker 9: It's never gonna, excuse me, quite please every single person.
- 10:27Speaker 9: I think it could have some differences, though, I would
- 10:30Speaker 9: definitely like to be a part of that panel.
- 10:32Speaker 8: I don't know who is a part of that panel.
- 10:33Speaker 9: I would assume the driver Council, which I'm not a
- 10:35Speaker 9: part of. But yeah, I get into formats and stuff
- 10:38Speaker 9: like that in the dirt side, so I think I
- 10:40Speaker 9: would have fun trying to come up with something.
- 10:42Speaker 4: You're on the final app.
- 10:46Speaker 13: At Bank of America, we asked our teammates what makes
- 10:48Speaker 13: this company a great place to work.

- 11:49Speaker 17: Listen.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Thanks for being with us. What have you here on
- 12:18Speaker 4: a Tuesday edition.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Coming up in this hour, k Heck and Lively author
- 12:28Speaker 1: is going to join us.
- 12:29Speaker 4: We're going to talk.
- 12:30Speaker 1: UFOs, UAPs, aliens, flying saucers, and government cover ups, all
- 12:40Speaker 1: of that ahead on the program. So this laid Kiffin
- 12:50Speaker 1: deal out of control. He he could end it immediately
- 12:57Speaker 1: by saying, Hey, I'm staying here signing his contract extension,
- 13:03Speaker 1: getting ready for the Egg Bowl a week from Friday.
- 13:09Speaker 1: He's not yet been willing to do that. He is
- 13:14Speaker 1: left everyone dangling so far, trying to decide between LSU
- 13:21Speaker 1: Florida and Ole, miss Today. Earlier today, he appeared with
- 13:28Speaker 1: Pat McAfee.
- 13:30Speaker 18: Hey, guys, we're just having an awesome day here man
- 13:34Speaker 18: starting meetings, get ready for a practice and that now
- 13:36Speaker 18: we're on the Pat McAfee show.
- 13:38Speaker 12: How about that?
- 13:39Speaker 19: Yeah, I want an honor.
- 13:40Speaker 20: And obviously we had been talking to Lane right before
- 13:42Speaker 20: we just introed him. And it's been a spectacular morning
- 13:45Speaker 20: down there in Mississippi. We're very thankful for everybody. How
- 13:48Speaker 20: was the yoga this morning? I know six am yoga's
- 13:50Speaker 20: non negotiable.
- 13:51Speaker 19: How did you start today? Was it a great start?
- 13:54Speaker 8: It was? Am McClean taught a great class. It was
- 13:57Speaker 8: extremely hard.
- 13:57Speaker 21: Man.
- 13:58Speaker 18: We had some coaches in there, Keith Carter, ad was
- 14:00Speaker 18: in there, and it was a grind this morning, okay.
- 14:03Speaker 20: See you and the AD obviously doing six am yoga
- 14:06Speaker 20: will certainly dive into that relationship here in a matter
- 14:08Speaker 20: of moments, let's talk about ball though, huge win obviously
- 14:11Speaker 20: over Florida.
- 14:11Speaker 19: Right now, we're on our way to.
- 14:13Speaker 20: Another massively successful banger of a season for your Old
- 14:17Speaker 20: Miss Rebels down there.
- 14:18Speaker 19: How do you feel at this point? Got a bye
- 14:20Speaker 19: week and then he got the egg Bowl on the.
- 14:22Speaker 20: Other side, which is obviously massive ribvalry in the United
- 14:25Speaker 20: States of America, not just in the SEC.
- 14:28Speaker 18: What it was great to get that Saturday night win.
- 14:30Speaker 18: Our crowd, the fans were electric, the app it really
- 15:01Speaker 18: was cool. And I would think, and I hear a lot,
- 15:04Speaker 18: I hear this a lot. There's no team in America
- 15:06Speaker 18: that has more fun than Old Miss in our players
- 15:09Speaker 18: and the whole thing, in the whole program. So it's
- 15:12Speaker 18: just awesome to see. It's awesome to team have so
- 15:14Speaker 18: much fun. The interaction afterwards, they were going in the
- 15:16Speaker 18: locker room. I brought them back out so we could
- 15:18Speaker 18: go to the student section that was still out there,
- 15:20Speaker 18: and Kewan Lacey had these big runs as you see,
- 15:24Speaker 18: and he brought the belt out afterwards, and it was awesome.
- 15:27Speaker 20: Yeah, you got a special thing brewing down there, and
- 15:29Speaker 20: I know you and the Ole Miss fans obviously over
- 15:32Speaker 20: the last six years have developed quite a powerhouse down there.
- 15:36Speaker 20: And obviously there's discussions at a lot of different schools.
- 15:38Speaker 20: Especially whenever you're winning, fans kind of get bored with it,
- 15:41Speaker 20: they maybe leave. It was nice to see your place
- 15:43Speaker 20: packed at the end, and I appreciate you bringing your
- 15:45Speaker 20: student or your team back out to say thank you.
- 15:48Speaker 20: I also appreciate the fact that you're throwing oops to
- 15:50Speaker 20: the boys. You talk about having fun. That's a main
- 15:53Speaker 20: message that you're sending to the crew and how important
- 15:56Speaker 20: do you think that is to the success of your
- 15:57Speaker 20: team as well?
- 15:59Speaker 19: Well.
- 15:59Speaker 18: I've I've been fortunate to be part of some really
- 16:02Speaker 18: great runs in college football, you know, being at USC
- 16:05Speaker 18: with Coach Carroll and we won thirty four straight and
- 16:07Speaker 18: then coach Saban our last twenty sixth straight there. I
- 16:10Speaker 18: think we won so and I remind these guys as
- 16:13Speaker 18: they're in these runs and these great things, and now
- 16:16Speaker 18: here are what three straight ten win seasons.
- 16:19Speaker 8: Enjoy it, have fun.
- 16:21Speaker 18: You know, so often everybody's so serious, everybody's in it,
- 16:23Speaker 18: and then they get out of it and they're like, man,
- 16:25Speaker 18: remember those old days, Remember how great they were. So
- 16:28Speaker 18: I remind them, Hey, those good old days. You're in
- 16:30Speaker 18: them right now. Some day, ten twenty years from now,
- 16:32Speaker 18: you're gonna be saying, man, remember that run we had
- 16:34Speaker 18: at Old Miss, And we had that Division two quarterback
- 16:37Speaker 18: that would make all those plays, and the running back
- 16:40Speaker 18: was leading the country in touchdowns and there's a dog
- 16:42Speaker 18: running around on the field and the players were dunking.
- 16:45Speaker 18: I said, you're in the good old days right now,
- 16:47Speaker 18: so just have fun, enjoy it. And I think if
- 16:49Speaker 18: you'll watch our team, you see them doing that.
- 16:51Speaker 20: Okay, so let's talk about having fun, enjoying it, and
- 16:54Speaker 20: staying in the moment. There's a lot of distractions that
- 16:57Speaker 20: come with having success. You've talked about the past three
- 16:59Speaker 20: years being an absolute juggernaut down there in the sec
- 17:02Speaker 20: for Old Miss, all the success you've had in the past,
- 17:05Speaker 20: your name is a topic of discussion everywhere, seemingly and
- 17:08Speaker 20: will be for the rest of your life.
- 17:10Speaker 19: It's a good thing.
- 17:11Speaker 20: I don't think it's a bad thing because it means
- 17:13Speaker 20: that you're having success, which is why other people are
- 17:15Speaker 20: certainly gonna mention your name whenever job's open up. But
- 17:18Speaker 20: there's a rumor now circulating on the internet, and we
- 17:21Speaker 20: appreciate you joining us here to be maybe kind of
- 17:23Speaker 20: clarify this was there like an ultimatum given to you
- 17:26Speaker 20: in the middle of a season from Old Miss.
- 17:27Speaker 19: It feels like the.
- 17:28Speaker 20: Way I'm reading it on the internet is that old
- 17:30Speaker 20: Miss has told you and you're doing yoga. I guess
- 17:32Speaker 20: this morning with the ad old Miss has told you,
- 17:34Speaker 20: like we need an answer.
- 17:36Speaker 19: Is that true? And how are you handling it all
- 17:38Speaker 19: with the team with what's currently taking place.
- 17:41Speaker 18: Yeah, that's uh, that's absolutely not true. There's been no
- 17:45Speaker 18: ultimating anything like that at all, and so I don't
- 17:48Speaker 18: know where that came from. Like a lot of stuff
- 17:50Speaker 18: that comes out there. Like I said, man, we're having
- 17:52Speaker 18: a blast.
- 17:52Speaker 8: I love it here.
- 17:54Speaker 18: I mean, are running back sitting right over here, come
- 17:56Speaker 18: on over and it just couldn't be. Like I said,
- 18:01Speaker 18: you pray for things, our fans prayed for this type
- 18:03Speaker 18: of thing, and.
- 18:04Speaker 8: Now we're in the middle of it. So enjoy it.
- 18:07Speaker 8: You're ten and one, getting ready.
- 18:08Speaker 18: You got a bye week, you get to watch half
- 18:10Speaker 18: the country lose and there's no way we can lose Saturday,
- 18:12Speaker 18: and then you play the egg Bowl and go dominate
- 18:15Speaker 18: that and keep that egg Bowl trophy home where it's
- 18:18Speaker 18: been for a long time.
- 18:19Speaker 19: Okay, So ke one, ladyy by the way, nineteen.
- 18:21Speaker 20: Touchdowns nineteen, tell the moment he Key one, We appreciate you.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Keep going.
- 18:27Speaker 20: Brother, Hey, I'm going to ask you with him here. Obviously,
- 18:30Speaker 20: you guys have kind of how old are you?
- 18:32Speaker 19: Key one?
- 18:33Speaker 8: Nineteen nineteen?
- 18:37Speaker 20: It would be so cool to be that athletic at
- 18:38Speaker 20: the edge of nineteen with the world in front of
- 18:40Speaker 20: you that it is with the current world that's happening,
- 18:42Speaker 20: you guys feel like since high school may be throughout
- 18:44Speaker 20: even maybe junior high for guys as talented as you,
- 18:46Speaker 20: this modern age where you got to deal with a
- 18:48Speaker 20: lot of distractions and business and chatter and social media
- 18:51Speaker 20: and messaging, how do you kind of stay focused, especially
- 18:54Speaker 20: with everything that's going on with your team and what
- 18:56Speaker 20: the future could be.
- 18:58Speaker 22: Really just having the mindset is just getting better every day.
- 19:02Speaker 22: You know, it's easy. You know when you have coaches
- 19:04Speaker 22: like this, you know, coach Smith, just to keep you,
- 19:07Speaker 22: keep you in the right direction, you know, and just
- 19:10Speaker 22: you know, staying focused, just you know, going want to
- 19:12Speaker 22: know each week too.
- 19:13Speaker 19: Have you ever returned any kicks.
- 19:16Speaker 10: In high school?
- 19:17Speaker 9: I did?
- 19:18Speaker 19: What'd you've done? You see me on the other side, buddy,
- 19:20Speaker 19: what are you doing?
- 19:22Speaker 8: He's like clearing the ball like thirty three times. We
- 19:24Speaker 8: don't eat more like we're good. Hey, you don't. You're
- 19:30Speaker 8: supposed to be helping us.
- 19:31Speaker 20: Right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah right, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Hey,
- 19:33Speaker 20: keep crushing it, ke want. We appreciate the hell out
- 19:35Speaker 20: of you, man, You're the best.
- 19:36Speaker 8: Yes, the I appreciate you.
- 19:39Speaker 19: For bringing them on, By the way, that's really cool.
- 19:41Speaker 20: I think you're the first person that we talked to
- 19:42Speaker 20: that on a very regular basis, brings in players and
- 19:45Speaker 20: other people we met win a dad obviously had a
- 19:47Speaker 20: chance to tell him, I'm sorry for picking against you
- 19:50Speaker 20: with dad and then obviously bringing Lacy best running back.
- 19:52Speaker 20: We appreciate how much you seemingly enjoy the hell out
- 19:55Speaker 20: of your players, and your players enjoy you.
- 19:56Speaker 19: I think I saw you post you were driving them
- 19:58Speaker 19: to a game. Is it like, is this the tightest
- 20:01Speaker 19: you've been with the team.
- 20:02Speaker 20: Is that an accurate depiction of how you feel with
- 20:04Speaker 20: this particular squad, especially with everything going on?
- 20:07Speaker 19: Or is this kind of how every Lane Kiff and
- 20:09Speaker 19: coach team is.
- 20:11Speaker 18: I think that's kind of how it is. I mean,
- 20:12Speaker 18: we were extremely close with Jackson Dart.
- 20:14Speaker 5: And I'm sure kind of Stilvert and I'm sure kind
- 20:16Speaker 5: of Stilvert, and I'm sure kind of Silverton. I'm sure
- 20:18Speaker 5: kind of Stilvert and I'm sure kind of silver Was
- 20:20Speaker 5: that mom kind of in like Sam or you still
- 20:22Speaker 5: like you mentioned Hey that he's gonna lose this half
- 20:24Speaker 5: the countries don't play sweek and you guy, friend because
- 20:27Speaker 5: or is it the egg Bowl after the barn and
- 20:30Speaker 5: what you the Hey is in the will have needed eyes?
- 20:32Speaker 18: You know, all this success, all this credit, all these things,
- 20:35Speaker 18: it is because of the players and the assistant coaches
- 20:38Speaker 18: putting it all together that allow all this to happen.
- 20:40Speaker 19: Yeah, I think you've got a special team. You're fun
- 20:42Speaker 19: to watch.
- 20:42Speaker 20: Speaking of that big one next weekend after you watch
- 20:45Speaker 20: half the country lose, Coach.
- 20:47Speaker 19: BA has a question for you. Lane. Hey, brother, you
- 20:49Speaker 19: know I've been part of seven of oose egg bowls.
- 20:51Speaker 23: And uh, you're the hottest thing in the country right now.
- 20:54Speaker 19: You lose that when they go try to fire your ash,
- 20:55Speaker 19: you know that. I know that.
- 20:58Speaker 8: I know that.
- 20:59Speaker 18: When they're like, hey, all this stuff and they're like,
- 21:02Speaker 18: are you focused on other places? I said, no, I'm
- 21:04Speaker 18: focused on winning because now what I've learned in college football.
- 21:07Speaker 18: We have our little group chat with like Sark and
- 21:09Speaker 18: Kirby and a couple of guys, and we came up
- 21:11Speaker 18: with this.
- 21:12Speaker 8: You lose one, you're out of the top ten.
- 21:14Speaker 18: You lose two, you're out of the top twenty five,
- 21:16Speaker 18: you lose three, you get fired. So you know, we're
- 21:19Speaker 18: focused on our job of trying to get to want
- 21:21Speaker 18: to know every week because that's the profession we're in now.
- 21:23Speaker 19: Yeah, it certainly is.
- 21:24Speaker 20: And it sounds like your players understand that more now
- 21:27Speaker 20: than maybe ever before.
- 21:28Speaker 19: So it's a special thing.
- 21:30Speaker 20: You got brew and you talk about losing one game,
- 21:32Speaker 20: you're out of the top ten, two you're out of
- 21:33Speaker 20: rank three, you're out of a job. It's like, oh,
- 21:35Speaker 20: miss seven years ago. I don't know if that was
- 21:37Speaker 20: necessarily the expectations. So not that I am the deepest
- 21:41Speaker 20: of SEC history guy, but I don't think the expectations
- 21:45Speaker 20: come unless you create something special, which you certainly have
- 21:49Speaker 20: and you've lived in that world, I guess where it's like, hey,
- 21:51Speaker 20: we want to be in a college football playoff whenever
- 21:53Speaker 20: you know that that's the expectation every year. What is
- 21:56Speaker 20: the mindset for you? Like looking at it, are you
- 21:58Speaker 20: trying to grow players right now? Are you trying to
- 21:59Speaker 20: figure this particular team future culture? Like how do you
- 22:02Speaker 20: kind of balance it all? When that is the expectation
- 22:04Speaker 20: at the highest level. That's not the expectation in every school.
- 22:07Speaker 20: You know that, but like that most schools that you
- 22:09Speaker 20: are going to be talked about, that is the expectation.
- 22:11Speaker 19: How do you handle that just one day at a time?
- 22:13Speaker 19: Standard cliches?
- 22:14Speaker 8: Yeah, I do.
- 22:15Speaker 18: I have an extremely high expectation how we should perform
- 22:18Speaker 18: as a program, and I've had that since we've got here,
- 22:21Speaker 18: So my expectation is way up there. So when outside
- 22:25Speaker 18: expectations happen, or for instance, now our fan base that
- 22:28Speaker 18: is now getting used to this, you know, can win
- 22:31Speaker 18: seasons every year, I'm good with it. I understand they're
- 22:36Speaker 18: now coming to the expectation that I've had.
- 22:38Speaker 8: All along here.
- 22:39Speaker 18: So some people will be like, man, they're going to
- 22:41Speaker 18: expect you to do this all the time and everything
- 22:42Speaker 18: that great. Well, we're now aligned in our expectations of
- 22:46Speaker 18: what we want our program to be.
- 22:48Speaker 8: So I love that the fans now have what.
- 22:50Speaker 18: Some people would say is unrealistic expectations for or Miss
- 22:54Speaker 18: because now they're just matching how I feel.
- 22:56Speaker 19: Yeah, I love that. I think you had that in
- 22:58Speaker 19: FAU too.
- 22:58Speaker 20: I think that's what you're playing on doing down there
- 23:01Speaker 20: on this tour coaching tour around the country that Lanekiffin
- 23:05Speaker 20: is on. Old Miss has certainly reaped the benefits over
- 23:08Speaker 20: the last six years. Talk about offensive explosion and being
- 23:11Speaker 20: fun to watch.
- 23:12Speaker 19: Go ahead, d Budge.
- 23:13Speaker 24: Yeah, coach, you kind of know from the outside end
- 23:15Speaker 24: for your passing game, why does pass the game be
- 23:17Speaker 24: up tempo, but you're rushing the ball for over two
- 23:19Speaker 24: hundred yards a game now, So how does that work?
- 23:22Speaker 24: As far as like I guess your scheme and then
- 23:25Speaker 24: your personnel use what's best for you, we can win
- 23:28Speaker 24: the ball game.
- 23:29Speaker 18: Yeah, I think that's a misconception. You know, the passing
- 23:32Speaker 18: thing as you referred to that. You know, we've just
- 23:34Speaker 18: always I've been this passing coach. We had Devin Singletary
- 23:38Speaker 18: at FAU lead the country in touchdowns. Then Quinn Shawn
- 23:41Speaker 18: Jenkins when he was here was leading the country in kerries,
- 23:43Speaker 18: and now key On Lacy leading the country. So we've
- 23:46Speaker 18: been running the ball for a while. Believe in running
- 23:48Speaker 18: the ball. I think that that was an issue last year.
- 23:51Speaker 18: Why you know, we didn't end up going into the
- 23:54Speaker 18: playoffs and going deep in the playoffs because we didn't.
- 23:57Speaker 8: Have that running game.
- 23:58Speaker 18: Had we with the defense of players and Jackson Dart
- 24:01Speaker 18: and stuff, I think we would have been there deep
- 24:03Speaker 18: into the playoffs. So I really glad that we've got
- 24:06Speaker 18: that back. We had a one year off of having
- 24:08Speaker 18: a great running game, and now we're back.
- 24:10Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 24:10Speaker 19: It's fun to watch. And Lacey seems like an absolute dog.
- 24:12Speaker 19: Oh yeah, I mean immediate salute upon getting on there.
- 24:15Speaker 19: I respect.
- 24:16Speaker 18: That's what did you say earlier. He's got nineteen touchdowns
- 24:19Speaker 18: and he's nineteen years old.
- 24:21Speaker 8: That's crazy.
- 24:23Speaker 20: Yeah, he's got a lot of time left to really
- 24:25Speaker 20: take over football and only get better, and certainly has
- 24:29Speaker 20: already done some incredible stuff.
- 24:31Speaker 19: Ty has a question for you.
- 24:32Speaker 5: Yeah, coach, last year, I think a lot of people
- 24:34Speaker 5: believed you guys were one of the twelve best teams
- 24:37Speaker 5: in the country, and you know what happened. Happened, you
- 24:39Speaker 5: got left out, and it kind of it is what
- 24:42Speaker 5: it is. But I remember you saying, like, you know,
- 24:44Speaker 5: you're in a position where you kind of had to
- 24:46Speaker 5: root for chaos, given you know, the situation you were in,
- 24:49Speaker 5: maybe being on the bubble last year with this year
- 24:52Speaker 5: and they're being you know, potentially eight or nine teams
- 24:55Speaker 5: that are still in play to make the college football
- 24:58Speaker 5: Playoff from the SEC. Is that mantra kind of still
- 25:01Speaker 5: the same? Are you still kind of in like, hey,
- 25:03Speaker 5: like you mentioned, half the country is going to lose
- 25:06Speaker 5: this week and you guys don't play. Or is it
- 25:08Speaker 5: different because after the Egg Bowl, the hey is in
- 25:11Speaker 5: the barn and what you guys will have needed to
- 25:13Speaker 5: do is already done, and you know, then you can
- 25:16Speaker 5: change your mind or your mindset.
- 25:17Speaker 19: I guess to the playoffs on the horizon.
- 25:21Speaker 18: Yeah, I looked at it going into the Florida game
- 25:22Speaker 18: as we have two one game seasons. We had Florida,
- 25:25Speaker 18: let's make sure you win that. Then we got to
- 25:27Speaker 18: buy and then we got a one game eight Bowl,
- 25:29Speaker 18: Let's make sure you win that. And then we've taken
- 25:31Speaker 18: care of our business. There's too many variables, you know,
- 25:35Speaker 18: because everybody's like, well, you got to get to the
- 25:36Speaker 18: top twelve teams.
- 25:37Speaker 8: Well, now we're finding out. But depending on how other things.
- 25:40Speaker 18: Go, you really got to get to the top ten
- 25:42Speaker 18: teams to make sure you make the playoffs, because there
- 25:45Speaker 18: might be two of the teams might not even be
- 25:47Speaker 18: in the top twelve. They can be number twenty and
- 25:48Speaker 18: twenty five or something with the current flawed system. So
- 25:54Speaker 18: like you said, everybody's like, well, man, you better be
- 25:56Speaker 18: in the top twelve. No, you better make sure you're
- 25:57Speaker 18: in the top ten or you might get left out.
- 26:02Speaker 4: That's coach Kiffin and again.
- 26:06Speaker 26: Being Koy, I guess and it's you know, it's just
- 26:12Speaker 26: it's going to be very interesting. There are reports that
- 26:17Speaker 26: Old Miss has said, look, we have an open week.
- 26:20Speaker 26: We need to know before the Egg Bowl a week
- 26:22Speaker 26: from Friday, what you're doing.
- 26:25Speaker 4: We have to know. And you know, we talked about
- 26:30Speaker 4: this yesterday. The question is and maybe there will be
- 26:36Speaker 4: a decision, and there's got to.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Be one soon because of how the calendar is and
- 26:41Speaker 1: recruiting is and all that. But you know, Old Miss
- 26:46Speaker 1: could say, hey, they're not going to fire him because
- 26:48Speaker 1: then they would owe him a ton of money and
- 26:51Speaker 1: that would be disastrous for everything. You're firing this guy
- 26:57Speaker 1: just won ten or eleven games, probably eleven games. So
- 27:02Speaker 1: but they could say, hey, you can't coach the Egg Bowl,
- 27:06Speaker 1: you can't coach if you go to the SEC Championship,
- 27:09Speaker 1: which I don't think they're going to do. Weird things
- 27:11Speaker 1: would have to happen, but they could. And you can't
- 27:14Speaker 1: coach the playoffs you've been suspended. And of course at
- 27:21Speaker 1: that point he's leaving anyway. So yeah, he has them
- 27:27Speaker 1: in a un enviable position. Don't know exactly how it's
- 27:33Speaker 1: all going to work out, don't know what he's going
- 27:36Speaker 1: to do.
- 27:37Speaker 4: These guys are wired differently.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Lane may be wired more differently than most, which is
- 27:43Speaker 1: saying a lot. And he's he's going to be well
- 27:50Speaker 1: paid no matter what.
- 27:52Speaker 12: Right.
- 27:53Speaker 4: And the other issue is how much money you got
- 27:56Speaker 4: to buy to buy players? How much are you've given me?
- 28:01Speaker 1: I thought it was very interesting yesterday that question was
- 28:03Speaker 1: asked with the new contract with coach Yelko. He said,
- 28:05Speaker 1: I'm not going to talk about that. He doesn't have to,
- 28:09Speaker 1: but well, to see, it's a new world it is
- 28:16Speaker 1: a new world gallery, is not. They've been around since
- 28:23Speaker 1: nineteen ninety three in our community. They've won every Best

- 28:39Speaker 4: At Rock Prairie, Century Square has a boutique with clothes
- 28:47Speaker 4: and jewelry and home decors, massages, of course, facials.

- 29:09Speaker 1: long spa service treatment.
- 29:11Speaker 4: That is a really good gift. I'm just saying.
- 29:15Speaker 1: So think about that, and they put it in this
- 29:18Speaker 1: really nice little gift bag with ribbons and bows, and
- 29:22Speaker 1: she thinks you'd spent.
- 29:23Speaker 4: A lot of effort on that.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Go online at Galeriaspasalon dot com Galeria sposalon dot com.

- 30:06Speaker 7: Oh?

- 30:57Speaker 30: I'm at Williams and today we're going out to the
- 30:59Speaker 30: Polari response phone line a visit with the head volleyball
- 31:01Speaker 30: coach for the Aim and Consolidated Tigers, Laura Coren. It
- 31:04Speaker 30: great to have you on.
- 31:05Speaker 22: How you doing, I'm good.
- 31:07Speaker 18: How are you?
- 31:08Speaker 30: I'm doing very well, Thank you so much. At the
- 31:10Speaker 30: beginning of the season, you set certain goals. Which ones
- 31:13Speaker 30: have you met, which ones have challenged you? And how
- 31:15Speaker 30: did those goals evolve over time as you watch the
- 31:17Speaker 30: team mature?
- 31:19Speaker 17: I think are you know, our first goal coming into
- 31:22Speaker 17: this season may being a new coach following in the
- 31:27Speaker 17: you know, the the great season that they had last year.
- 31:31Speaker 17: We wanted to make it back to regional finals. We
- 31:34Speaker 17: definitely accomplished that, and then you know, we kind of
- 31:37Speaker 17: we've kind of adopted this saying the last couple of
- 31:39Speaker 17: weeks that we didn't come this far to come this far,
- 31:42Speaker 17: and that's kind of been our mindset where we made
- 31:44Speaker 17: it back there, but let's let's keep going. And so
- 31:47Speaker 17: making it to State, you know, your first year to
- 31:49Speaker 17: any program is amazing. Making it to State at all
- 31:52Speaker 17: is just an amazing accomplishment for all of these kids. So, yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 17: it's just been a great year.
- 31:58Speaker 30: Yeah, that's awesome. And you mentioned you took up the
- 32:00Speaker 30: role of head coach this year. What were some of
- 32:02Speaker 30: the challenges of integrating into the UH into the program
- 32:05Speaker 30: in that position?
- 32:07Speaker 17: When you come into it, you know, you've come in
- 32:10Speaker 17: new to a program with that had so much success
- 32:13Speaker 17: the year before. You definitely need to like learn your players,
- 32:17Speaker 17: what what was what worked for them last year and
- 32:21Speaker 17: try to keep those things rolling, and then also trying
- 32:24Speaker 17: to kind of implement your style of play a little
- 32:26Speaker 17: bit more and just you know, because every coach is
- 32:29Speaker 17: going to have just a different, different mindset, different style
- 32:31Speaker 17: of how they coach kids, and so just just learning
- 32:35Speaker 17: the chemistry and figuring out where everybody fits into the
- 32:39Speaker 17: the big scheme of things was definitely kind of the
- 32:43Speaker 17: beginning of the year feeling all that stuff out.
- 32:45Speaker 10: M H.
- 32:46Speaker 30: If you had to put a label on them, what
- 32:48Speaker 30: wisdom and lessons do you think you brought from Anderson
- 32:50Speaker 30: Cheer to make this run so successful?
- 32:54Speaker 17: I just I think of maybe not even just from Anderson,
- 32:59Speaker 17: but I've coached at a lot of different programs. This
- 33:02Speaker 17: will be my fifth school, and just knowing that every
- 33:05Speaker 17: every team is going to be unique all every year,
- 33:09Speaker 17: even being at the same school, every team that you
- 33:11Speaker 17: coach is going to have different chemistry, different skill sets,
- 33:15Speaker 17: and just knowing that it's not a one size fits
- 33:19Speaker 17: all when you come when you're trying to coach a team,
- 33:22Speaker 17: you've got to figure out what works and what that
- 33:24Speaker 17: group of girls is going to be good at and
- 33:26Speaker 17: be successful at and capitalize on those things. So I
- 33:29Speaker 17: think coming in to consult and like learning the kids
- 33:33Speaker 17: and learning what they're good at and what makes them
- 33:36Speaker 17: what makes them compete, was definitely like for me, that
- 33:40Speaker 17: was something important that I think brought bringing in. Yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 17: that would just that would.
- 33:46Speaker 25: Be my biggest thing that I think is coming in
- 33:49Speaker 25: and just being able to coach at different levels, having
- 33:53Speaker 25: that experience to figure out, like what what makes different
- 33:57Speaker 25: kids sick?
- 33:59Speaker 30: Yeah, which matchup would you say this year has challenged
- 34:04Speaker 30: your team the most and why do you think that is?
- 34:07Speaker 17: I would definitely say College Station just because they're a
- 34:11Speaker 17: great a great team, a great program, and being the
- 34:15Speaker 17: you know, cross down rivals, So there's also that just
- 34:19Speaker 17: extra emotional piece to that.
- 34:22Speaker 30: MM hmm, yeah, and you know, talk to me about
- 34:26Speaker 30: what went wrong that game or what what what do
- 34:29Speaker 30: you think went well and what challenged you.
- 34:32Speaker 17: Well, we we played them four times this year. We
- 34:36Speaker 17: played them in a tournament early.
- 34:38Speaker 25: On and we was able to pull out the win,
- 34:42Speaker 25: and then we lost to them both both matchups and
- 34:46Speaker 25: districts play So when we saw them again at regional finals,
- 34:52Speaker 25: you know.
- 34:53Speaker 17: That is who Console lost to last year in the
- 34:58Speaker 17: in the playoffs, they lost to Collegeation and in the
- 35:00Speaker 17: regional finals last year, and then we were able to
- 35:02Speaker 17: match up with them again. So just all of that,
- 35:05Speaker 17: just all of the hype around the rivalry and then
- 35:07Speaker 17: meeting up again at the same you know, same matchup.
- 35:10Speaker 17: So and I think actually the all the hype kind
- 35:15Speaker 17: of helped us this year. The core group of seniors
- 35:18Speaker 17: that were on the team last year, they they'd already
- 35:21Speaker 17: kind of been through the emotions in the matchup the
- 35:25Speaker 17: year before, and I think they were much more settled
- 35:27Speaker 17: and calm going into the regional final game this year
- 35:30Speaker 17: and just kind of knowing that that we had a
- 35:33Speaker 17: chance to meet them.
- 35:35Speaker 30: And you won a competitive game against New Bronzels in
- 35:37Speaker 30: your last match, what do you think went well And
- 35:40Speaker 30: what do you think challenged your team?
- 35:42Speaker 17: I think we showed a ton of just grit and
- 35:45Speaker 17: heart and playing for each other. Uh, not playing scared.
- 35:49Speaker 17: They were. They were pretty fearless out there. That's kind
- 35:53Speaker 17: of been our one of our mottos the last couple
- 35:56Speaker 17: of games, and you know, timeouts if things are we're
- 35:59Speaker 17: struggling with something, and it's like play play for each other.
- 36:03Speaker 17: And I thought they did a really good job of
- 36:04Speaker 17: that at just supporting everybody and yeah, just having a
- 36:08Speaker 17: lot of grit and being tough.
- 36:09Speaker 25: Yeah, with huge against me bron fuls And you.
- 36:12Speaker 30: Face Highland Park this Saturday in a state championship match.
- 36:15Speaker 30: What are you expecting from that team? And how do
- 36:17Speaker 30: you think your play styles will clash?
- 36:23Speaker 17: Oh, that's a good question.
- 36:27Speaker 25: I think I think going into it, we're kind of
- 36:30Speaker 25: the underdog and we definitely like that mentality. We play
- 36:34Speaker 25: better with that mindset.
- 36:38Speaker 17: They're definitely a lot bigger than we are. We're pretty
- 36:41Speaker 17: small just size wise matching up, so that's going to
- 36:45Speaker 17: be a challenge for us to play a little bit
- 36:50Speaker 17: faster game, try to use our size to our advantage, you.
- 36:53Speaker 25: Know, and play quick and play fast. I don't know
- 36:56Speaker 25: that we can out muscle them, so it's going to
- 37:00Speaker 25: be like an adjustment on there.
- 37:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:03Speaker 30: And do you think it's difficult to keep your kids
- 37:05Speaker 30: focused and consistent going into state championship game? And what
- 37:08Speaker 30: are the unique mental and physical challenges of preparation this
- 37:12Speaker 30: deep into the season.
- 37:14Speaker 17: I would say the biggest challenge that even even me
- 37:19Speaker 17: facing and the kids facing, is it just a long
- 37:22Speaker 17: break in between games. We played Saturday and then we
- 37:25Speaker 17: have seven days we don't play again until next Saturday,
- 37:28Speaker 17: and that is different. Like we're used to playing twice
- 37:31Speaker 17: a week and we kind of get in a.
- 37:33Speaker 26: Rhythm and get in the routine.
- 37:35Speaker 25: So just keeping the momentum going throughout the week, staying
- 37:40Speaker 25: focused with lots of extra days of practice and things
- 37:42Speaker 25: like that.
- 37:43Speaker 30: So, yeah, shifting more to a coaches perspective here, As
- 37:46Speaker 30: a coach, how do you personally measure success on and
- 37:49Speaker 30: off the court besides just victories and defeats.
- 37:54Speaker 25: Oh, to me, I want the kids to love the
- 38:00Speaker 25: love the game. I wanted them to grow and just
- 38:04Speaker 25: learn how to how to grit things out and to
- 38:10Speaker 25: build that like tough mentality, you know, to me, that's
- 38:14Speaker 25: one of the most important things in sports is adversity
- 38:17Speaker 25: and wanting to deal with it and having challenges thrown
- 38:19Speaker 25: at you and knowing that it doesn't matter how big
- 38:22Speaker 25: this challenge is. We can we can get it done
- 38:24Speaker 25: and we can take care of things. So, like, to me,
- 38:26Speaker 25: that's how I measure success.
- 38:28Speaker 17: If if we're tough and we work hard and we
- 38:31Speaker 17: work together. I think I think we've had a pretty
- 38:33Speaker 17: great year.
- 38:34Speaker 30: Yeah, and you've had immense success in your first season,
- 38:37Speaker 30: Saul here looking forward, what are your goals and aspirations
- 38:40Speaker 30: in the next three to five years having achieved such
- 38:42Speaker 30: great heights so early on in this program.
- 38:45Speaker 25: Oh yeah, and.
- 38:48Speaker 17: You know we're graduating if you've seen your class, so
- 38:51Speaker 17: there's humongous shoots to fill with these younger kids. I
- 38:55Speaker 17: think the the younger like our subvarsity and ninth grade team,
- 39:00Speaker 17: they really looked up to these older kids and and
- 39:02Speaker 17: know that they worked really hard. And so we're gonna
- 39:05Speaker 17: we're gonna we've set the bar high for these younger girls,
- 39:08Speaker 17: and we're gonna get out there and get after it
- 39:10Speaker 17: and and hopefully keep this moment unrolling in the next
- 39:13Speaker 17: few years.
- 39:14Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 39:14Speaker 30: Awesome, And last question for you here, who do you
- 39:17Speaker 30: think is really stepped up this year and fill those
- 39:20Speaker 30: leadership roles. Is there anyone that you'd like to highlight
- 39:23Speaker 30: that you think has really just gone above and beyond?
- 39:27Speaker 25: I would say, uh, Senior number seven, Jillian Finals. She's
- 39:32Speaker 25: our sixth ratition cetter, so she's out there on the
- 39:35Speaker 25: floor all the time. She's a setter, right tack hitter,
- 39:40Speaker 25: so she is, you know, all parts of offense. She's
- 39:43Speaker 25: one of our top servers, she's one of our top defenders.
- 39:46Speaker 17: She's our team captain on the floor. And I think
- 39:49Speaker 17: she's just done a great job. The kids love her,
- 39:53Speaker 17: you know, it's one of those things you would follow
- 39:56Speaker 17: her into battle anywhere, and I think I think they
- 39:58Speaker 17: they would do that for her. They would, they would
- 40:00Speaker 17: do anything.
- 40:00Speaker 25: She has to do.
- 40:02Speaker 8: I think this year awesome.
- 40:04Speaker 10: Thank you so much for your time, coach.
- 40:07Speaker 25: All right, thank you.

- 45:09Speaker 1: Coming up in the second hour, we play an interview
- 45:13Speaker 1: I did with author Jeff Gwynn on the Jonestown Massacre
- 45:18Speaker 1: forty seven years ago today. But right now we're going
- 45:21Speaker 1: to jump out to the Player's fun Center zoom live
- 45:24Speaker 1: visit with Kent Heck and Lively. His book is called
- 45:27Speaker 1: Catastrophic Disclosure, Deep State, Aliens and the Truth Ken.
- 45:33Speaker 12: How are you good, Jeff?
- 45:37Speaker 1: You have a background in science, Yes, how long have
- 45:39Speaker 1: you been interested in now what is called UAPs?
- 45:43Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 45:43Speaker 14: I think I've always had something of a recreational interest
- 45:46Speaker 14: in it. But let me be clear, I've never seen anything.
- 45:50Speaker 14: I don't have any missing time. I've never been probed
- 45:53Speaker 14: to my knowledge, and you know, for your listeners, this
- 45:57Speaker 14: is my twentieth book, and it's the first time I've
- 46:00Speaker 14: going to walk on the wild side. Usually I'm looking
- 46:02Speaker 14: at corruption in medicine, science, big tech, big media. My
- 46:07Speaker 14: last book was about the CIA with a CIA officer whistleblower. So,
- 46:14Speaker 14: but what got me interested in the subject enough to
- 46:16Speaker 14: write about it is in the summer of twenty twenty three,
- 46:20Speaker 14: there was a remarkable series of congressional hearings with David Grush,
- 46:26Speaker 14: Ryan Graves, David FRAVERR. And you know, since many of
- 46:30Speaker 14: my books have touched upon Congress. I was aware of
- 46:32Speaker 14: the fact that before they let you to appear in
- 46:35Speaker 14: front of a congressional hearing, they let you really closely.
- 46:39Speaker 14: So I called up one of my friends, Michael Mossola,
- 46:42Speaker 14: who happens to be one of the world's leading UFO
- 46:45Speaker 14: documentary filmmakers.
- 46:47Speaker 12: And I said, Michael, what is going on with this?
- 46:49Speaker 12: And he goes, well, here's what's happening. Behind the scenes.
- 46:53Speaker 14: The spooks are telling people that they're interested in controlled disclosure,
- 46:59Speaker 14: but the fear is something called catastrophic disclosure. And you know,
- 47:05Speaker 14: as a writer, I love words, and so when I
- 47:09Speaker 14: heard that expression, I was just like, oh my god,
- 47:12Speaker 14: that is just delicious.
- 47:13Speaker 12: I have to pull that thread.
- 47:16Speaker 25: You know.
- 47:17Speaker 14: I'm like that kid at Sunday School, you know, raises
- 47:20Speaker 14: his hand and says, sister, could God create a rock
- 47:23Speaker 14: so big even he couldn't move it? You know, I'm
- 47:27Speaker 14: just one of those people. I'm very nice, but I
- 47:30Speaker 14: want my questions answered.
- 47:32Speaker 1: So what is the most surprising aspect of the research
- 47:38Speaker 1: that you did for this book.
- 47:40Speaker 14: Well, here's how I come at it. And so, you know,
- 47:44Speaker 14: trained as an attorney, I got my law degree in
- 47:45Speaker 14: nineteen nineties. I'm sixty two years old, so I'm not
- 47:50Speaker 14: interested in what people say is real. I'm interested in
- 47:54Speaker 14: the skeptics and the quality of their arguments. So one
- 47:59Speaker 14: of the things, because I really like it when I
- 48:02Speaker 14: can find people saying lying or saying things that just
- 48:06Speaker 14: sound incredibly stupid, and they expect me to believe it.
- 48:11Speaker 14: Like the March twenty twenty four Arrow report on historical UFOs.
- 48:16Speaker 14: Well they open up with, hey, the government has investigated
- 48:21Speaker 14: UFOs twenty five times.
- 48:24Speaker 12: I go, oh, really twenty five times? Well, if my wife.
- 48:31Speaker 14: Investigated me twenty five times as to whether I was
- 48:36Speaker 14: being faithful to her, I would say she didn't trust me.
- 48:40Speaker 14: So you know, I started out going, has the government
- 48:43Speaker 14: investigated leprechauns twenty five times?
- 48:46Speaker 16: No?
- 48:47Speaker 14: I don't think they have, So something's.
- 48:49Speaker 12: A little bit off about that.
- 48:51Speaker 14: And then they give me get They give the public
- 48:54Speaker 14: this explanation of oh, here the twenty six formerly secret
- 48:59Speaker 14: government programs that probably account for why otherwise well meaning
- 49:05Speaker 14: people report UFOs Number one is.
- 49:09Speaker 12: The atomic bomb. And you know, I'm not a trained observer,
- 49:13Speaker 12: but I think I could distinguish a mushroom cloud from
- 49:17Speaker 12: a saucer.
- 49:18Speaker 14: So don't tell me something that insults my intelligence. Other
- 49:23Speaker 14: things that were in the report. Oh, well, in the
- 49:26Speaker 14: nineteen sixties we were experimenting with a flying saucer car,
- 49:30Speaker 14: but we could never get it more than three feet
- 49:32Speaker 14: above the ground. Don't insult my intelligence for telling me
- 49:37Speaker 14: that's why people are seeing these.
- 49:39Speaker 12: Things in the sky.
- 49:41Speaker 4: So the other thing that I was interested in.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Presidents have looked into this, and you can tell me,
- 49:50Speaker 1: but it seems to me when Clinton and Carter asked
- 49:53Speaker 1: about it, that we're told, in so many words, yeah,
- 49:57Speaker 1: that's above our pay grade. You need to go this
- 50:00Speaker 1: direction and everywhere you went. Yeah, I know a little
- 50:04Speaker 1: bit about it, but but I don't know a lot
- 50:07Speaker 1: about it, and I'm not allowed to tell you about
- 50:10Speaker 1: what I know.
- 50:12Speaker 12: Yeah, and it's really interesting now.
- 50:14Speaker 10: You know.
- 50:14Speaker 14: One of the people I talked to who is fascinating
- 50:17Speaker 14: was doctor Stephen Greer, who's been at this for thirty
- 50:20Speaker 14: five years.
- 50:20Speaker 12: And and you know, I.
- 50:22Speaker 14: Said, doctor Greer, have you been able to get away
- 50:24Speaker 14: with doing all this stuff? And he goes, well, in
- 50:26Speaker 14: the early nineties, what I did was I I wrote
- 50:30Speaker 14: this letter to all of the intelligence and defense agencies,
- 50:33Speaker 14: which was called an unless otherwise directed letter, and he said,
- 50:38Speaker 14: as he understands it, whenever Congress spends money, they get
- 50:43Speaker 14: to ask you what you're spending it on. And a
- 50:46Speaker 14: lot of these supposed reverse engineering programs have taken our
- 50:50Speaker 14: money but haven't subjected themselves to oversight.
- 50:54Speaker 12: And so doctor Greer said, you know, considering that.
- 50:58Speaker 14: That is the way our government has said, yep, and
- 51:01Speaker 14: I believe that these program constitutional.
- 51:05Speaker 12: You must tell me that I am not allowed to
- 51:09Speaker 12: ask about them.
- 51:10Speaker 14: Because because I consider them to be illegal, and what
- 51:15Speaker 14: you're doing is illegal. And so I can get any
- 51:19Speaker 14: documents from any of these whistleblowers, and he's built up
- 51:22Speaker 14: an amazing archive, but you have to tell me why
- 51:27Speaker 14: I'm wrong. And so he created the legal basis for
- 51:31Speaker 14: these whistleblowers to come forward.
- 51:34Speaker 12: And so I find that.
- 51:35Speaker 14: Really interesting as a lawyer, because that makes a lot
- 51:38Speaker 14: of sense to me. And so it makes sense to
- 51:41Speaker 14: me why there can be this drip drip of disclosure
- 51:47Speaker 14: from inside.
- 51:47Speaker 12: These agencies, and yet the main.
- 51:50Speaker 14: Agency themselves will continue in their crazy denials that there's
- 51:55Speaker 14: nothing out there.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Are you have you been a skeptic when it comes
- 52:02Speaker 1: to the UFO reports, And by the way, I talked
- 52:06Speaker 1: to somebody that said they changed UFO to UAP because
- 52:10Speaker 1: UFO had a connotation of all these crazy people and
- 52:14Speaker 1: aliens probing people, and so they just simply changed their terminology.
- 52:19Speaker 12: Yeah, you know, I'm happy with UFOs. That's what I've
- 52:21Speaker 12: grown up with.
- 52:23Speaker 14: But I think the really interesting thing, and maybe your
- 52:26Speaker 14: listeners will we'll connect to this is you know, for example,
- 52:30Speaker 14: I've got a good friend Max, who is my editor,
- 52:33Speaker 14: and you know, we've worked together for probably ten fifteen years.
- 52:37Speaker 12: And you know, we've never talked about UFOs.
- 52:40Speaker 14: And you know, I told him I was starting this
- 52:42Speaker 14: book and everything, and he goes, hey, Ken, I have
- 52:44Speaker 14: I ever told you my UFO stories. He proceeds to
- 52:47Speaker 14: tell me two UFO stories which were witnessed, both with
- 52:51Speaker 14: hunting buddies. He lives out in the hill country in Texas,
- 52:55Speaker 14: and so, you know, and I think everybody has had
- 52:59Speaker 14: that experience. You know, we may not have seen something,
- 53:02Speaker 14: but we talk about this subject with a group of people,
- 53:06Speaker 14: and people we've known all our lives, you know, will
- 53:09Speaker 14: share things that we've never heard. Yes, and we we
- 53:13Speaker 14: believe them, and you know, they're our friends, and you know,
- 53:16Speaker 14: then they tell us something which is outside of our experience,
- 53:19Speaker 14: and you know, we're left with this conundrum of saying, like, gad,
- 53:23Speaker 14: do I really think my good friend is lying to me?
- 53:26Speaker 33: No?
- 53:26Speaker 12: I don't. So maybe it's a malfunction and human perception.
- 53:31Speaker 14: You know, maybe our brains are like my phone, and
- 53:33Speaker 14: you know, every ten thousand hours there, you know, there's
- 53:36Speaker 14: a glitch in it, and people see crazy things. But
- 53:40Speaker 14: I don't think that, you know, especially you know, one
- 53:43Speaker 14: of the most convincing things in the most recent congressional
- 53:46Speaker 14: hearing was that UAP video off the coast of Yemen
- 53:51Speaker 14: that Congressman Burlison showed, you know, which is you know,
- 53:54Speaker 14: and you say to yourself, Okay, what are the chances that,
- 53:58Speaker 14: first of all, one drone would lock onto this thing
- 54:02Speaker 14: that wasn't there? What is the possibility that another drone
- 54:08Speaker 14: will lock onto it, fire and missile. What are the
- 54:12Speaker 14: chances that when that missile supposedly hits that object it
- 54:16Speaker 14: breaks up into several pieces? You know, you just keep piling,
- 54:22Speaker 14: you know, one absurdity onto another, and you just got
- 54:26Speaker 14: to say, hey, maybe this stuff is real.
- 54:30Speaker 4: The truth is out there. Will we ever find it?
- 54:33Speaker 1: Will it ever be disclosed by anybody in authority.
- 54:38Speaker 12: You know, it's a great question.
- 54:39Speaker 14: You know, I I'm old enough to remember when the
- 54:42Speaker 14: Berlin Wall fell, yep, and everybody was saying it would
- 54:46Speaker 14: never happen, and then it did. And then the citizens
- 54:50Speaker 14: of East Germany broke into the Stasi offices and you
- 54:53Speaker 14: found out that, you know, every fifth person in the
- 54:55Speaker 14: country was an agent.
- 54:58Speaker 12: You know, these things, this can't happen.
- 55:01Speaker 1: The book is called Catastrophic Disclosure, Deep State, Aliens and
- 55:06Speaker 1: the Truth.
- 55:07Speaker 4: Kent hacking Lively is the author. Kent. Great to catch
